  I genuinely got fucking chills during a one piece trailer and then I stopped and

  was like, holy shit, went to the discord posted in all caps,

  and then I went and rewatched it, and then I was like, I'm

  gonna share it on the Facebook, and then I did, and then I

  watched it again, and then I sent it to Owen and I was like,

  I've watched a trailer like six times. I was truly all I am

  so so happy with Like it's just nice to get excited about something in a

  way that feels like there's not a one shot. Like what I mean is

  a day. That's lovely, but having a serious they are excited about,

  so you know it's gonna like unless they drop it all at once, but

  so off guard by how delighted I felt, like childlike delight. It was

  make a whole lot of content for TikTok. Mostly what I've been posting on

  there has been about the puppies and finding them homes and fund raising and stuff,

  But I wondered how it would be to put up these lives, like

  just I could be recording from my phone at the same time as I am

  recording with you guys, and I don't know if that's like a good thing,

  like if that would be fun or if that would be too much or
• 6:05
  my only concern is because of doing that, like sometimes you can get filthy
• 6:12
  casuals in and they may not understand the unspoiled premise. But I don't think

  I'm a big enough like name on TikTok in any way to show up in

  most people's like for you, you know, So anyway, I just wanted

  to put that out there because it's something that I've been considering the other day

  when I saw how much they were trying to get us to go live.

  It's like a really there's like a whole new program that they have adopted for

  lives, which I wouldn't be a part of unless I got like a certain

  number of viewers. But I am kind of needing to find a way to

  pump up my business because I am not. My pledges on Patreon have dropped

  by about six hundred dollars a month from this time, about a year ago,

  maybe more than a year ago, maybe a year and a half,

  but I am really needing to do something, so just sort of tossing ideas

  around. Anyway, all that to the side, let's get that out of

  the way. Let's start talking about these episodes and the fucking Robot situation,

  which is actually a really really good band name, so overwhelming, the Navy's

  and I was sort of like, what is that about. I had forgotten

  that we actually know what those are already, Like, it's not a mystery.

  We were They were talked about in me the episode where Zoro faces off

  with Kuma. So this is like not new information, but I gotta tell

  you guys that, because so many things like get brought up and then dropped

  for a little while, my brain doesn't really it doesn't embed until I'm really

  really sure it's going to be necessary for me to recall and bring back up

  again. So I did appreciate that at one point when the word Passa Fiestas

  is set out loud, either in this or the next episode. Robin is

  the one who's like, this is a real weird name to give, like
• 8:28
  war machines, Like why would you do this? So all right, you

  guys, I don't I know that, Like, there's going to be a

  lot of names that I need help with, so I'm just going to ask

  for hands on deck here. First off, though, we've got Keysaru in

  his amazing yellow striped suit. I really need to show his character designed to

  owen because yellow is his favorite color and he would be very into this suit.

  And this dude is what I can best. Like the way I describe

  him as sort of like a badass by accident. He seems so not to

  say that, like by accident implies that he's not trying, and I don't

  get that sense. But he's just so like ditzy. I really want to

  call him kind of a dits. He doesn't seem like foolish completely, but

  he loses track of stuff and seems to have kind of a bad memory,

  And there's always a sort of like amiable quality. Even when he's fighting people,

  he doesn't seem there's nothing personal in it. He's just kind of like,
• 9:50
  well, you know, I'm here to fight you. And you're fighting
• 9:52
  me, and I feel like we all know that I'm going to have to
• 9:54
  fight you back, like that's just how this goes, and no hard feelings,
• 9:58
  but I am going to liquidate your insights. And I don't know.

  I just really like him. I don't want to like him because he's our

  he's our rival. I don't want to say enemy because that feels too strong.

  I like him too much to call him an enemy. We'll call him

  YouTube. They are two sort of whimsical. They just whenever when they feel

  they're just like, yeah, I'm gonna do that and screw you and sorry

  about it. So anyway, Kiseru is going after Basil Hawkins, and we

  saw this at the last episode they kicked at the speed of light thing.

  This dude has this ability and it's they're called voodoo dolls. Later on and

  we had seen the voodoo dolls. I can't remember if we didn't see the
• 12:11
  transformation into this form that he has though, did we because guys. This

  form is haunt your dreams kind of character design, Like this guy has a
• 12:31
  scarecrow esque sort of look to him that I thought was I thought it was
• 12:39
  bad enough when I saw him for just a moment, and then the further
• 12:43
  he like the camera sort of scanned up and down his body, and the
• 12:48
  more of him I saw, I was just like, this is the worst
• 12:54
  thing I've ever seen. I don't it's a common name of like his weird
• 13:01
  mouth with its sort of like gear like pieces that interlock. They look sort
• 13:11
  of like teeth, but there's too much space between him. Is just really
• 13:15
  really weird. And you know he's got these like long, sort of wavy
• 13:20
  tendrils where his like legs and arms are supposed to be and everything is.
• 13:30
  It's really a change like the creatures that we have seen our guys turned into.
• 13:39
  Like when I say our guys adversaries, I mean when they turn into
• 13:43
  stuff, it's usually been either something that's like distinctly recognizable, or it's a
• 13:50
  riff on something really recognizable in terms of usually a sort of animal or a
• 13:58
  man of like an element like with crocodile and turning into swirling sand, let's
• 14:05
  say, or smoker turns into smoke, where it is linked to his ability
• 14:13
  in an intrinsic way, where he just turns into what he sort of controls,
• 14:18
  and it's unsurprising and it's like a cool ability and it's kind of freaky
• 14:22
  in its way, but it's not exactly coming out of nowhere. This so
• 14:31
  I'm I gotta this is based on the fact that he is a magician,
• 14:41
  and we're doing a voodoo dolls sort of look, because that is also magic,
• 14:50
  which is like not an invalid choice. I guess it's just not It's
• 14:56
  so different to the kind of like when I'm thinking magic, I don't think
• 15:03
  attempts of magic in the real world, like religions based on magic in our
• 15:11
  world or anything like that. I am thinking of, you know, goofy
• 15:16
  fantasy magic, and so for it to be something that's sort of a cult.

  I was a little bit surprised when I saw that he was pulling basically
• 15:24
  tarot cards, but I was also sort of thinking they may not be exactly
• 15:30
  like regular tarot cards. They may just be like oracle cards, which wouldn't
• 15:33
  really be that much of a one to one ratio. The voodoo doll thing.

  I'm really fascinated by the thought behind this. And I don't know if
• 15:46
  you guys have any info on it, but is there a tradition like this
• 15:52
  in Japan? Or is he basing this off of? And when I say

  tradition like this, I don't mean like necessarily like voodoo, although I guess

  you could answer that question too. I meant like, are there things like

  voodoo dolls in any Japanese tradition where you make a little figure that is supposed
• 16:08
  to represent something And there's a whole thing with like voodoo dolls being made to
• 16:14
  resemble people, and then the damage you inflict on the doll is inflicted on
• 16:18
  a person. But a lot of times they are meant to be sort of
• 16:22
  symbols for ideas and emotions, like to help you cope with things and bring
• 16:27
  good luck or protection. And it's not even necessarily a revenge thing, which
• 16:33
  it seems like or malicious. That's often how it is portrayed in media because
• 16:40
  it's like, you know, very melodramatic, and we're going to go for
• 16:42
  that when we're doing storylines. But I was really curious whether he is going
• 16:49
  after the sort of like creole tradition here or if there is something that is
• 16:55
  native to his homeland, because if he's doing this sort of real thing,

  that opens a lot of other possibilities that I hadn't considered at all. Seraphim

  says, I think it's just based on Japanese pop culture idea of voododolls,
• 17:11
  plus Oda being Oda okay, and the overall look of him, because a
• 17:17
  lot of voododolls, what they're traditionally made out of. It can be felt

  like stuffed with something, but a lot of times it's corn husks, and
• 17:26
  that is the look we've got with him. His hair gets sort of like
• 17:30
  flat and stringy, and he's got these long arms that are like there are
• 17:37
  points that are sort of fastened onto the ends of the fingers to make claws,
• 17:42
  and you can see that at his like calves and wrists, those are
• 17:49
  long strands of corn corn husk, I guess that are wrapped and like tied
• 17:57
  in little bundles in those spots. So once I like step back and understood
• 18:04
  what it was we were doing with this guy, I was like, Oh,
• 18:08
  but when you first see him, it's not connecting for me what he's
• 18:15
  going for with this look. And I was like, what in the fucking
• 18:19
  horror show is this whole thing. And Gisaru is just right up in his
• 18:26
  face. I don't know what your power is, but I do know that
• 18:30
  you have a physical form. It doesn't seem like you're a logia type.
• 18:34
  And he's zapping him as he's saying this, with his like light, his
• 18:41
  sort of laser, I guess. And as he's doing this, you can
• 18:47
  see Basil sweating and then his corn husk parts sort of open because they part
• 18:56
  and let out the other smaller voodoo dolls, and all of those dolls come
• 19:00
  out already with holes in them. And I am really curious if he saw
• 19:11
  this coming, because he kept assuring us all that, you know, today
• 19:15
  is not the day I die, etcetera, etcetera. And I'm like,
• 19:18
  well you sure, And he Kis even says to him, it looks like
• 19:26
  you're the first to go. You did well to journey all this way,
• 19:30
  and for that you have my compliments. And as he says this, and
• 19:37
  like goes to kick him and there's a huge glowing white and yellow sort of
• 19:45
  shield shape coming out of his foot. He's smiling. I just want to
• 19:48
  point this out. Okay, he's smiling and like, you get it.

  This The only way I can describe it is like his energy is no hard
• 20:00
  feelings. I know, you understand, you know. I wouldn't be surprised
• 20:06
  at all if he were the type of dude that just beats the absolute snot
• 20:10
  out of somebody and then helps them up and it's like, do you want
• 20:12
  a beer? He just seems like that type. But I'm sort of jumping
• 20:18
  ahead here. Forgive me, because there's just a lot happening, But I
• 20:22
  really wanted to talk about that transformation out of the gate. So that's the
• 20:27
  end of that interaction for the moment, because they get interrupted by crazy music
• 20:33
  man, which we will jump back to in a moment, but for now,

  let's go to our friends in the midst of their fight, because they
• 20:42
  are not involved in the fight over here for the moment. They are still
• 20:48
  dealing with Oh my god, Kamu, Kazu, Kuru. Yeah, y'all,

  I'm so bad with these names. I get it, and then I

  lose it. But Lufy is trying to like sprint away from these lasers,
• 21:08
  somehow managing to dodge them despite this dude literally just turning his head and following
• 21:15
  him with all and Lufy is in his second year, third gear and bright
• 21:22
  bread. At one point in the midst of this fight, he snaps back
• 21:26
  into his like tiny shape and it is so adorable every time it happens.

  And I you, guys, this the force of this fight, Gus says

  Kuma question Mark, you are correct. Thank you Gus for being able to

  tell what the funk I was talking about. Oh my god, Sarah fhim

  says. General fan consensus is KISSERU is baked more or less twenty four seven.

  Oh my god, I'm so glad you told me that, Sarah,

  because this is going to be a complete thing at this point, y'all.

  That changes everything. I Like, I am still, you know, standing

  by my sort of amiable badass dits, but you know, a totally different

  kind of context at this point. Awesome love this. So this dude is

  just unleashing on them and we eventually have us up. Frankie and Brooke go

  running for cover basically, and I thought this was really interesting that Frankie is
• 22:45
  like, this isn't even tech that exists. This is like fantasy shit,

  And you know, considering how advanced Frankie is with creating stuff like this.

  The fact that he is so impressed impresses me because he can do a lot,
• 23:06
  and people are often taken off guard by how much he can pull out
• 23:11
  of a hat, so to speak, a metal hat shaped like a face.

  So while they're taking cover, Lufi, Zoro, and Sangi are all
• 23:26
  coming at Kuma at the same time at basically like their top attack level.

  Sangi's foot is glowing, Lufy is also glowing, Zoro's doing the six hundred
• 23:41
  caliber. All of that lands at basically the same time. Now, I
• 23:48
  just want to mention that because of the difference in the type of fighting they
• 23:55
  do, it's unclear to me. I like Lufi is basically doing a sort
• 24:00
  of gatling thing where he's punching repeatedly, and it seems like Sanji is kicking
• 24:07
  repeatedly, which I really wish that we got to see that. We get
• 24:15
  to see Lufy punching because of his like gum gum gatling repeatedly, and it's
• 24:22
  like just a given at this point. We don't think about it. But
• 24:26
  Sanji, we just get big kicks that are sort of the dramatic type where
• 24:33
  he's standing on one leg delivering this thing and just wiping somebody off the map
• 24:38
  multiple kicks at once. I don't think we've ever seen that where he's doing
• 24:44
  it like at this rhythm, and the camera so to speak, is right
• 24:48
  up in his face the whole time, so we don't get a good look
• 24:53
  at what that would even look like. Is he essentially running in place on
• 24:59
  the man chest, Like do you get what I'm saying? Or is it
• 25:03
  supposed to be that he's standing on one leg the whole time and just kicking
• 25:07
  really fast with the other leg. And then there's Zoro who seems to be
• 25:15
  just taking the one swipe, but I can't tell if it's supposed to be
• 25:22
  more than that. At the same time as well, it just feels like
• 25:26
  what I'm meant to be getting here is that they really lay into him as
• 25:30
  long as they can until he finally goes down. But because their attacks are
• 25:36
  so different, it reads really differently depending on who the camera is focused on.

  And this Kuma goes down and in the at the sidelines, we've got
• 25:48
  Nami and Chopper celebrating, but Robin is like, yeah, no, that's
• 25:55
  there's no way the dude's a warlord and it's gonna take more than that.

  And you could see that they're aware because they're still standing there watching where he
• 26:03
  went down, waiting to see if he's going to get back up again,
• 26:07
  because there's like every probability and there's a really fascinating thing here the iden's becoming
• 26:15
  at all, So Lufy says he's different now, maybe he's a twin or
• 26:22
  something, and Sanji is like, I guess that's possible, but that's really
• 26:29
  freaky, and Zoro says, yeah, he looked just like him, but
• 26:34
  the other guy could teleport, so there's really no reason he would have just
• 26:38
  stood there and taken our attacks if he could do that. And he also
• 26:42
  had a shockwave attack, which he didn't use here or those paws, so
• 26:51
  this is like a completely different guy. And even though he didn't have those
• 26:56
  amazing attacks, he was still a real ballbuster to deal with. So it's
• 27:03
  sort of like, yeah, he may not be the full thing, but
• 27:07
  that's quite bad enough. We see him twitching and beginning to sit up,
• 27:15
  and then we jump over to twenty four, where a different Kuma is about
• 27:22
  to face off with the Monk. Guys. Tell me how I failed to
• 27:29
  process that there were more than one Kuma in the last section when I should
• 27:33
  have noticed it. And I appreciate that like Florian didn't point it out to
• 27:40
  me. He didn't say anything. He just was like, yeah, I
• 27:42
  mean, she'll figure it out soon enough, so we'll just let that sit
• 27:45
  there. But truly, the clues were there already and I was not seeing
• 27:52
  them. So the monk or does he just go buy monk? I can't
• 27:59
  remember he's engaging in this boxing match. I hesitate to even call it that
• 28:06
  because he's just basically punching the shit out of Kuma, like without Kuma fighting
• 28:14
  back, apparently almost at all. It's a weird moment where it seems like
• 28:18
  something went wrong Kuma's Kumas just lets himself get hit And as this fight is
• 28:26
  happening on the sidelines, Basil is like watching and says he has managed to
• 28:33
  like skirt death a lot, but that doesn't change the fact that sometimes there's
• 28:38
  nowhere left to go and your fate catches up with you. And just as
• 28:44
  he says that, there is a shot that goes right through his shoulder and
• 28:49
  he goes down and he yells, it burns and Kuma sits up and he
• 28:59
  is so you know, the introduction that we got from him when we were
• 29:08
  in the at thriller Bark, he was very freaky, but he still felt
• 29:15
  human. When there was the reveal about the kind of like tech he was
• 29:19
  made out of, it was surprising because he had some personality and a real
• 29:26
  like you know, he's made out of tech in the same way that Frankie
• 29:32
  is, but it felt different because it's so much more advanced than what Frankie's
• 29:36
  working with. And this guy there's nothing really human feeling about him. He
• 29:41
  is just a robot, you know. So in the head of Drake,
• 29:52
  this is a really weird little aside here He's watching this whole thing and he
• 29:56
  says, that was Kiseru's laser, so he recreated Kiseru's attacks with Bartholomew Kuma's
• 30:06
  body. Damn that Vegapunk, which we've heard that name before. I had
• 30:12
  no idea the Passafista technology had advanced so quickly, and this is really like
• 30:22
  the fact that this dude knows exactly what's going on. I just thought was
• 30:26
  sort of interesting. This is a dude that's wearing sort of a Domino mask
• 30:30
  and what looks like a pirate's hat, like one of those big wide brim,
• 30:37
  but like the brim is sort of curled and it has a huge Ostrich
• 30:41
  feather in it. But yeah, this is like this dude is on the
• 30:48
  inside regarding how this tech is created. And I just wondered how he knew
• 30:56
  everything that he knew when it's coming as a bit of a surprise, it
• 31:00
  seems like to a lot of people. Um, so this is this is
• 31:07
  when Keiseru comes up and he says, Rear Admiral Drake, sorry, former
• 31:12
  rear admiral, and not here for your old job back. I take it.

  I don't know why, but that cracked me up. He is like,
• 31:26
  so casual, you guys, your inside knowledge will only make you despair
• 31:32
  all the greater. I suggest you, little chickies exercise a level of caution.

  This is all Kiseru. And then he smiles, after all, you
• 31:45
  have me to contend with two and just smiling, looks so happy about it,
• 31:51
  like he can't wait for it to be his turn. Yeah, yeah,
• 31:53
  yeah, when you get done with that guy. So then we get
• 31:56
  the surprise of what Drake turned into. And you guys, he basically turns
• 32:07
  into a dinosaur. This shit is holy unexpected. The camera goes upward and
• 32:21
  upward while he's standing in front of Kuma, so that you really get a
• 32:24
  sense of how tall he suddenly becomes. He's towering over Kuma, who is
• 32:31
  fucking humongous. So yeah, the man is very, very big, and
• 32:38
