Transcript
- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Hey guys, welcome to Housewives Goss and Glitter.
- 0:02SPEAKER_00: It's uh Zoe and Ashie, and we are gonna be covering the real Housewives of Orange County again, this time for season 20, episode two.
- 0:10SPEAKER_00: And we did get their taglines, but I have to say only two of them stuck out to me, and I didn't pause to get all the rest of them.
- 0:20SPEAKER_01: I have them.
- 0:21SPEAKER_01: And it is one of your favorites, Vickies.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 0:25unknown: Okay.
- 0:26SPEAKER_01: Because that's awesome, I have to say.
- 0:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I did not like their the I don't like this color of their dresses.
- 0:35SPEAKER_01: It's too gray.
- 0:37SPEAKER_01: I just it's not, it's not right.
- 0:39SPEAKER_01: They should all be the same color as Heather's.
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: And like that bluey color, right?
- 0:46SPEAKER_01: No, it's like more whitish cream, but like opal, and then the rest of them are all shimmery, but they're like going too silver, and like they're going towards too gray.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, this doesn't go with the orange and the yellow in the background, like at all.
- 1:05SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: No, it definitely needs to stand out a little bit more.
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: I feel like the ones that so the ones that stuck out the most I didn't like Carmela's because hers was just like I like the attention, like I and I'm in a center fold or something, blah blah blah.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: And then Tamara's, which I knew was a reference to her giant scene about having an opinion, but hers was the hauntest housewife of that's my opinion.
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: I'm like, that's what we've got, that's what we came up with.
- 1:33SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 1:33SPEAKER_01: That's really and they should have had her screaming that in the background.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: Yes, that would have been way better.
- 1:40SPEAKER_01: That was awesome.
- 1:41SPEAKER_01: Okay, yeah, so I can read them.
- 1:44SPEAKER_01: Okay, so Heather, my motives are like my taste, best left unquestioned, clever, yeah, clever.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: She's very, she is very about the taste, too.
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: And I've gotten then the two episodes, so yeah, more sophisticated.
- 1:59SPEAKER_01: Okay, Shannon.
- 2:01SPEAKER_01: How do I hold it all together?
- 2:03SPEAKER_01: Resilience and shapeware.
- 2:05SPEAKER_01: I didn't like it.
- 2:07SPEAKER_01: I'm like, well, I only didn't like it.
- 2:11SPEAKER_01: I only didn't like it because I personally fucking hate shapeware.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: But she's also a 60 old 60.
- 2:19SPEAKER_01: Oh, I understand why, like, I totally understand like the reference to it, and I get it.
- 2:28SPEAKER_01: And I'm not like trying to diss her for wearing shapeware.
- 2:32SPEAKER_01: It's just that for me, anytime I've tried to wear it, I feel like it's just cutting my abdomen in half.
- 2:39SPEAKER_01: I'd rather just wear me clothes.
- 2:42SPEAKER_01: It's not for me.
- 2:43SPEAKER_01: I don't, I don't, I don't like the all one.
- 2:46SPEAKER_01: I cannot breathe.
- 2:48SPEAKER_01: Like I cannot breathe.
- 2:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 2:50SPEAKER_01: So I just rather know.
- 2:52SPEAKER_01: Um, and that's all I can think about during that.
- 2:55SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 2:56SPEAKER_01: Jen, the truth speaks volumes, and I'm about to turn it up.
- 2:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because you're constantly trying to stir the pot about this Tamara thing.
- 3:03SPEAKER_01: She's obsessed.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: I don't like her.
- 3:05SPEAKER_01: I don't like her either.
- 3:07SPEAKER_01: I mean, I I don't have any reference in prior seasons, but she's like literally obsessed with trying to get everybody to give their opinion on this one woman.
- 3:15SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, you are literally obsessed with this topic.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and we're only two episodes in.
- 3:20SPEAKER_01: It's very weird.
- 3:21SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 3:22SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 3:23SPEAKER_01: Gina, just because I'm spoken for doesn't mean I won't speak up.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: It's very boring.
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: I find her kind of boring.
- 3:31SPEAKER_01: I just I don't dislike her.
- 3:33SPEAKER_01: I just feel like we could have come up with something better there.
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: Oh, her confessional slater goes, is she wearing that on purpose?
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: Which look?
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: Red, like the red, brownish suit, and he was like, Is she wearing that on purpose?
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: Or is that a joke?
- 3:48SPEAKER_01: Oh, the suit, yeah.
- 3:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 3:51SPEAKER_01: Okay, Emily, my body may be new, but my mouth is the same as always.
- 3:56SPEAKER_01: She shouldn't say that because didn't she get her body by doing all the working out?
- 4:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 4:02SPEAKER_01: Like, I feel like that makes it seem like she got like a big tummy tuck, but she didn't.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: Maybe she's she's just proud and showing it off.
- 4:10SPEAKER_01: She is, and she looks amazing.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 4:12SPEAKER_01: Carmella.
- 4:14SPEAKER_01: I'm still out on Carmella.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: I'm still she grow on me this episode.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: Sorry.
- 4:19SPEAKER_01: She didn't grow on me this episode.
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: I mean, I liked her better than last episode, and I just still wish she would lean into the WWE thing more.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 4:31SPEAKER_01: I'm also like her current boyfriend also had an affair, like WTF.
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: I'm like, oh, they're nice, that's cute.
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: And then she reveals at the birthday, and I was like, kidding me?
- 4:43SPEAKER_01: I'm just like these men.
- 4:46SPEAKER_01: I mean, even a center fold, and he's like way older than her, and he's still having an affair.
- 4:51SPEAKER_01: Like, really?
- 4:52SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 4:53SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 4:54SPEAKER_01: What's wrong with you?
- 4:55SPEAKER_01: What is wrong with you?
- 4:56SPEAKER_01: Okay, yeah, I'm the center of attention and the center folds.
- 4:59SPEAKER_01: She could also say center of the ring.
- 5:01SPEAKER_00: Center of the ring.
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, that would have been good too.
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: Also, did she fight?
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: Uh, don't the ladies just like throw each other around too?
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: Don't I thought they all fought.
- 5:12SPEAKER_00: I don't think they have like ring girls.
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: I think they actually wrestle.
- 5:16SPEAKER_01: I'm just saying that like if I was going to be proud about being tough, I would definitely say the WWE thing first versus the Cleveland thing.
- 5:26SPEAKER_00: 100%.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: 100%.
- 5:29SPEAKER_01: I just go there for I mean it's like who else?
- 5:33SPEAKER_01: I don't know anybody else that has ever done that.
- 5:36SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 5:36unknown: No.
- 5:37SPEAKER_01: Um, Tamara.
- 5:39SPEAKER_01: I'm still the hottest housewife, and that's my opinion.
- 5:42SPEAKER_01: It needed more oof at the end.
- 5:44SPEAKER_01: It did because that scene I did watch, and she really let Vicky have it.
- 5:52SPEAKER_01: And I was like, she could have they could have, I just feel like they still should have played that in the background as she said that.
- 5:58SPEAKER_01: Vicki's is my favorite.
- 6:00SPEAKER_01: Wives come and go, but legends are we whoop it up forever.
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: Like, oh whoop it up forever.
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, okay, got it.
- 6:10SPEAKER_00: It was like a she's very funny.
- 6:13SPEAKER_01: She's like the old, she's like Alicia's elder.
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: There's no catching herself.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: I mean, I'm sure there is, but and we because I know I did look it up and they did ask her to leave.
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: Like, so she was asked to not come back for however many seasons, because they decide that it needed to be like revamped and they needed like a fresh storyline.
- 6:39SPEAKER_00: So like she was asked to leave.
- 6:42SPEAKER_01: So she's so funny, and I just love how when someone's trying to have a conversation with her to get her opinion, she just says like the most random, like out of left field thing.
- 6:54SPEAKER_01: Like Tamra's trying to like talk to her about this podcast fight with Emily, and Tamra's and Vicky's just like, who listens to podcasts?
- 7:01SPEAKER_01: Like, I don't know if it's like, first of all, Tamara has a podcast, and second of all, that literally has nothing to do with what she's talking to you about.
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: No, no.
- 7:14SPEAKER_01: It's so funny.
- 7:15SPEAKER_01: Okay, and then also did you notice that the center oranges are Vicky slash Shannon?
- 7:21SPEAKER_01: Or do they just not have a center orange?
- 7:23SPEAKER_00: It's like the both of them in the middle, because they have an even it's a I don't know, it's very weird.
- 7:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I couldn't tell.
- 7:31SPEAKER_01: Because they have them both back and be yeah, I feel like they yeah, I guess I could see that.
- 7:37SPEAKER_01: I was hoping I'd see Vicky just in the middle with that center orange.
- 7:41SPEAKER_00: It's because on the little teeny thing on Peacock, they have Vicky Tamra and Shannon as the three in the on the preview.
- 7:48unknown: Okay.
- 7:49SPEAKER_00: It doesn't have all the ladies.
- 7:51SPEAKER_01: Okay, that makes sense.
- 7:52SPEAKER_01: I like that.
- 7:53SPEAKER_01: So the trace is.
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: Because like on the Rory preview, you have the one where it has all of them.
- 7:59SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 7:59SPEAKER_00: And then, but I noticed like when you go to click on the little square on Peacock, it's just those three.
- 8:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 8:05SPEAKER_01: Oh, and speaking of, when we posted the poll asking for replies on who's getting center pearl for Real Housewives of Rhode Island, everybody replied Alicia, except for one.
- 8:17SPEAKER_01: We got one Joelan, and the rest is Alicia.
- 8:21SPEAKER_00: I'm going Alicia.
- 8:22SPEAKER_00: I I think that will be Alicia too.
- 8:25SPEAKER_01: I'm going Alicia too.
- 8:27SPEAKER_01: I just think, well, she's obviously our fave, but she's she is she's like so nice to everybody that I feel like they always look for that queen bee that's like divisive, and Alicia's not divisive, she's not she's everybody's friend.
- 8:43SPEAKER_00: Did see someone else ask it, and they the what they were hoping or what they thought it would be Alicia and Ashley because Ashley is used for promoting it so much because she has such a following, and I was like, there's no way that would be weird, that'd be crazy.
- 9:01SPEAKER_01: I'm happy Ashley's back, and I hope she stays true to herself.
- 9:05SPEAKER_00: Well, they were filming at Audrey's the other day, and it's a bummer because if I wasn't camping, I was gonna go to the influencer yard sale.
- 9:12SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, okay, and then you film there, so so all right.
- 9:17SPEAKER_01: See Real Housewives of Orange County, season 20, episode two, not on my bingo card.
- 9:25SPEAKER_01: We really should have had Anna Louise on for this one.
- 9:27SPEAKER_01: Um true, that was like the first thing I thought of.
- 9:31SPEAKER_01: Gina throws Emily a drag bingo themed party.
- 9:36SPEAKER_01: Shannon befriends Carmella despite Vicki's doubts.
- 9:39SPEAKER_01: So, initial just reaction after reading that like uh description is we did get somebody on TikTok commenting on my vid about how like Vicky was kind of dissing the Rory girls that came on Ultimate Girls Trip, and they were saying she's always like that with newcomers, like she does she never likes anybody new at first.
- 10:02SPEAKER_00: No, I could definitely see that 100%.
- 10:05SPEAKER_01: Like she's always very skeptical, like she seems very skeptical of Carmella.
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, I would be too, just because in that first episode it really seemed like Carmella was gonna be fighting for the Queen B spot and like get ahead of Vicky.
- 10:21SPEAKER_00: But I I actually liked Carmella this episode, and but I can totally see Vicky being like, nope, I'm the number one, I've been asked back, I got my orange on the reuse, like whatever.
- 10:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 10:33SPEAKER_00: I don't think there's any competition there.
- 10:35SPEAKER_00: You're right, right.
- 10:36SPEAKER_01: No, okay, so we start off, we start off with Shannon, Jen, and Gina at this odd bungee cord workout.
- 10:45SPEAKER_00: I want to do one of those so bad, and there's actually a place on the North Shore that does it.
- 10:50SPEAKER_00: No, if you ever want to try it, I'm down.
- 10:54SPEAKER_01: I don't.
- 10:54SPEAKER_01: I want to try a trampoline workout, the mini trampolines.
- 10:59SPEAKER_00: Not nearly as fun on my knees.
- 11:02SPEAKER_00: But why are you on your knees on your trampoline?
- 11:05SPEAKER_00: It would be me to my knees where bungee is to relieve some of that pressure.
- 11:09SPEAKER_00: That's what I mean.
- 11:11SPEAKER_00: Is the bungee thing a core workout?
- 11:13SPEAKER_00: I think it's really it probably is because it's forcing you try really hard to try and balance.
- 11:19SPEAKER_01: Okay, yeah.
- 11:20SPEAKER_00: So, like we saw with Shannon.
- 11:22SPEAKER_00: I just think it looks like fun.
- 11:23SPEAKER_00: I 100% would do it.
- 11:26SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 11:26SPEAKER_01: We'll try, we'll try it.
- 11:28SPEAKER_01: I also want to do the trampoline class.
- 11:30SPEAKER_00: Um, one for you, one for me.
- 11:33unknown: Okay.
- 11:34SPEAKER_01: So Shannon's not into exercise and she's constantly following, so falling, and I'm like, so she has no core, she has no center of gravity and no core, basically.
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: I would work on my balance if I had as much work done to my face as she had.
- 11:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 11:49SPEAKER_00: So I'm not messing any of that up.
- 11:52unknown: Yeah.
- 11:53SPEAKER_01: I mean, I I don't I'm also questioning if all the falling is real.
- 11:58SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 11:59SPEAKER_00: Some of that looked really I mean, they played her ring camera one of her like crashing into her front door.
- 12:07SPEAKER_01: And I thought that that was like w unless you're like drunk, I don't see, even if you are older, you don't just like topple over like that randomly.
- 12:19SPEAKER_01: I mean, she's not like 90, she's in her 50s.
- 12:22SPEAKER_01: 60s.
- 12:23SPEAKER_01: I thought it was just Vicki that was in her 60s.
- 12:26SPEAKER_00: I think they're both in their 60s.
- 12:28SPEAKER_00: Hold on, let's fact check really quick.
- 12:30SPEAKER_00: You you might be right.
- 12:31SPEAKER_00: I thought she was like 64, but maybe I'm thinking Vicky is Vicky's.
- 12:35SPEAKER_00: Oh, 64.
- 12:36SPEAKER_01: She's 62.
- 12:38SPEAKER_01: I think Vicky's 64.
- 12:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that would make okay.
- 12:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that sounds about right.
- 12:43SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 12:44SPEAKER_01: Um, anyway, still just kind of I don't you know mean Vicky is very upright and with it.
- 12:52SPEAKER_01: I'm just saying, like it just I don't know.
- 12:55SPEAKER_01: I question the people are just the quads, I guess.
- 12:58SPEAKER_00: And if they don't work out, then they're not gonna have that force ability.
- 13:03SPEAKER_00: So to just stand I don't know, quads plus this, who knows?
- 13:09SPEAKER_01: I guess we'll see when we get there.
- 13:12SPEAKER_01: Okay, um Gina is suggesting this bingo drag brunch for Emily's birthday, where they all dress as the golden girls.
- 13:21SPEAKER_01: I don't understand this, I don't understand the connection of the drag brunch and the golden girls.
- 13:26SPEAKER_00: They wanted they wanted Emily to feel like she was the youngest, so they all went old.
- 13:33SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 13:34SPEAKER_00: That was the key.
- 13:35SPEAKER_00: So did you hear and when Gina hugged her, she was like, we also want you to be like the prettiest one here.
- 13:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I got that.
- 13:42SPEAKER_01: Like that came out after a few drinks.
- 13:45SPEAKER_01: Can I just say I fucking hated that?
- 13:48SPEAKER_01: I really did.
- 13:48SPEAKER_01: I this is like a huge pet peeve of mine.
- 13:51SPEAKER_01: This is like when people purposely try to make their bridesmaids look ugly in their wedding because they're afraid of being outshined.
- 13:58SPEAKER_01: I'm like, you should be, you should want all your friends to also look good.
- 14:03SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm sorry, I don't I don't understand being that threatened by your friends when you go out that you want everybody else to look ugly except for you.
- 14:09SPEAKER_00: But this was Gina's idea, it wasn't Emily's.
- 14:11SPEAKER_00: But when Emily did know what she was showing up to.
- 14:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah, she did.
- 14:15SPEAKER_01: Because when she said she was looking for them and then she showed up and she was surprised at like how much they were oh okay, because she did make a comment about how she was happy that they were all in that makeup and she was being younger.
- 14:29SPEAKER_00: But she tells her husband, she was like, I just know where and when to show up.
- 14:33SPEAKER_00: I don't know what the theme is.
- 14:36SPEAKER_01: That makes me feel better about Emily because I was like, I fucking hate this.
- 14:40SPEAKER_01: Um, but I still hate the theme.
- 14:43SPEAKER_01: Like, I would not want to go somewhere purposely looking.
- 14:47SPEAKER_00: I thought it was hilarious.
- 14:48SPEAKER_00: I don't know if I would pick to do it, but I thought it was fun.
- 14:51SPEAKER_01: I did not, and I also thought Tamara's outfit was horrifying, like just absolutely horrifying.
- 14:56SPEAKER_00: You were gonna hate it, and I thought it was absolutely ridiculous.
- 14:59SPEAKER_00: And I was like, I want to be friends with Tamara after that.
- 15:01SPEAKER_01: I didn't like that, I did not like that.
- 15:03SPEAKER_01: Okay, um, yeah.
- 15:05SPEAKER_01: I it also it also just bothered me because like when you go something drag themed, like you want to look like super fabulous.
- 15:11SPEAKER_01: So I'm like, it just annoyed me.
- 15:14SPEAKER_01: Um okay, so then I'm like, here we go again.
- 15:19SPEAKER_01: Jen's bringing up this Tamara thing.
- 15:22SPEAKER_00: She is saying that they or Shannon's like, many people have certain opinions, but she doesn't want because Jen brings it up because she wants Shannon to like side with her.
- 15:32SPEAKER_00: And Shannon is like, if I want to bring it up, I'll bring it up, but I'm not gonna bring it up, so then Tamara is mad at me and makes it look like I'm bringing war on her.
- 15:40SPEAKER_01: That fight that happened at the Valentine's Day party was not instigated by Shannon whatsoever.
- 15:45SPEAKER_01: I don't know what Jen's talking about.
- 15:46SPEAKER_01: She just kept hopping around from person to person trying to get a scapegoat for this Tamra thing.
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, exactly.
- 15:52SPEAKER_00: That's what she wanted.
- 15:53SPEAKER_00: She wanted Shannon to be a scapegoat, and Shannon was like, uh, I know what I'm getting into, and I'm not doing that.
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm not let them hash it out.
- 16:00SPEAKER_00: That's on them.
- 16:01SPEAKER_00: We don't need to be involved.
- 16:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah, this is just she's acting like everybody that's ever had an opinion about Tamara has like an obligation to like tell her so.
- 16:10SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, having an opinion about a situation at a point in time is different than having this like gigantic issue with somebody.
- 16:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like this this is what I wrote.
- 16:19SPEAKER_00: I wrote like because Jen's like, I have no intentions of Heather and Tamara being mad at each other, and I was like, You don't?
- 16:26SPEAKER_01: That was like what she that was literally what she pushed for.
- 16:30SPEAKER_01: She was like pushing for that for like half the party.
- 16:33SPEAKER_00: You don't?
- 16:34SPEAKER_00: I was like, What the fuck are you talking about?
- 16:36SPEAKER_00: You don't.
- 16:37SPEAKER_01: I just I'm like so confused.
- 16:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and Jen's like, I feel like I confronted Tamara on everybody else's behalf, and it's like you didn't need to confront her at all.
- 16:46SPEAKER_00: Heather can do whatever Heather wants, right?
- 16:49SPEAKER_00: Let Heather and Tamara do get out.
- 16:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that was crazy.
- 16:52SPEAKER_01: She's like just annoying the crap out of me by constantly bringing this topic up.
- 16:56SPEAKER_01: And okay, the mess up part too, though, is like now Tamara is mad at Heather and thinks that Jen is her friend.
- 17:05SPEAKER_00: Like, that's like so fuck.
- 17:07SPEAKER_00: It is.
- 17:08SPEAKER_00: It is, it's so, so bizarre.
- 17:11SPEAKER_01: It's annoying.
- 17:12SPEAKER_01: It's it's like Jen is like just one of those friends that you have in high school that's just like so two-faced and it's like irking the shit out of me.
- 17:20SPEAKER_00: And it's funny because she wants Heather to look at like the two-faced one.
- 17:24SPEAKER_00: And it's like, no, that's not happening.
- 17:26SPEAKER_01: I mean, I thought it was funny, but when Heather was like, Jen is just constantly harassing me about Tamara because then they flash to this scene where they're having this conversation, and Jen's like, Well, what do you think about your friendship?
- 17:39SPEAKER_01: Well, what kind of box would you put her in?
- 17:41SPEAKER_01: And just like quite like question after question after question after question, and I'm just like, Why are you like so like into this?
- 17:49SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 17:50SPEAKER_01: Like, I feel like Heather said something about her and Jen just like bounced.
- 17:54SPEAKER_00: We need drama this season.
- 17:56SPEAKER_00: This is how they're gonna get it, apparently.
- 17:58SPEAKER_01: So that's that scene.
- 18:00SPEAKER_01: This definitely like hopped around from like scene to scene.
- 18:03SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 18:04SPEAKER_01: Okay, I don't so then they're at Emily's house and she's doing a wedding shoot because now she's trying to start an additional podcast with the husband.
- 18:15SPEAKER_00: Is that well, she has one with her husband, which is the part.
- 18:20SPEAKER_00: That's gonna be the new one.
- 18:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 18:22SPEAKER_00: So today the other to the list part is gonna be the new one, which is why they were bride and groom, and then she and her husband have that one that has like brunette or brown or something, and I guess it's because they cover a lot of cases because they're attorneys, so then this one is kind of dividing it men ver and women or something.
- 18:43SPEAKER_01: Okay, so yeah, the original pod is legally brunette because Emily is like she's passed the bar twice, she's went to law school, super smart, legally brunette, and now this new one is Till Death to Us Part.
- 18:57SPEAKER_01: And both the podcasts are with the husband?
- 19:00SPEAKER_00: Yes, but they're gonna cover cases in different directions or something.
- 19:04SPEAKER_01: Okay, gotcha.
- 19:06SPEAKER_01: All right, so then they start talking about this separate issue that Emily has with Tamra.
- 19:14SPEAKER_01: I can you explain?
- 19:15SPEAKER_01: I'm so baffled by this.
- 19:18SPEAKER_00: So this was so there is an issue with Tamara because Tamara called her ungrateful because Tamara essentially has like this really big podcast, two T's in a pod, right?
- 19:29SPEAKER_00: Yes, it's Teddy.
- 19:31SPEAKER_00: So, and they're sponsored and owned, I assume, by iHeartRadio, or that's who they're partnering with, that's who they got picked up with, that's how they make all their money.
- 19:40SPEAKER_00: Now they were given a chance to pick up another podcast to go underneath them.
- 19:47SPEAKER_00: And I guess when their stuff gets released, Legally Brunette, it gets released under their feed.
- 19:53SPEAKER_00: So when people are subscribing to Tease in a Pod, they were also getting notifications of Legally Brunette, and Tamara gets a cut of what however many listens and ad revenue that Legally Brunette was making.
- 20:09SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 20:09SPEAKER_00: So she helped Emily and her husband get a Kickstar on getting that podcast out, and then Emily said that they were leaving the feed, they were basically going out on their own, and they were gonna do that.
- 20:23SPEAKER_00: And Tamra had a snotty comment at some point saying that they were gonna tank or they were tanking, and Emily was like, We're not actually tanking, because if we were tanking, how will we have the resources to another podcast?
- 20:36SPEAKER_00: Okay, this is like so petty.
- 20:39SPEAKER_00: It is, it's very petty, and honestly, it sounds like Tamara is being really petty about it.
- 20:44SPEAKER_00: Because she just wants like a huge thank you from Emily, and that's why her husband was like, Maybe you just get her a card.
- 20:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 20:51SPEAKER_00: Like, okay, can we drop the drama?
- 20:54SPEAKER_01: Yeah, this is dumb.
- 20:55SPEAKER_01: This is dumb.
- 20:56SPEAKER_01: All right, then we move on to the Tamara and Heather lunch.
- 21:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I couldn't understand exactly what was going down and if they were mad at each other, if they weren't mad, because Tamara accuses Heather of not really being a good friend, and she doesn't think that she's the type she's the friend that she thought she was.
- 21:17SPEAKER_00: Right, because of what Jenny.
- 21:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 21:21SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 21:21SPEAKER_01: So this is all coming about because of what Jen told Tamara at the party.
- 21:28SPEAKER_01: So Tamra brings up that Jen told her at the Valentine's Day party, Tamara like is basically confronting Heather about Jen being like, Heather was complaining about you at the dinner after the reunion, and she says that you know she has problems with you too, and just like puts your behavior in a box.
- 21:49SPEAKER_01: And Tamara just feels feels like she's basically saying, like, Heather is not the friend that you think she is.
- 21:57SPEAKER_01: And then Heather's like Well, actually, I do have some issues with the way that you behaved last year.
- 22:05SPEAKER_01: I've already told you this, and I feel like Jen is constantly baiting me to say something bad about you.
- 22:11SPEAKER_01: And like I'm completely on Heather's side about this one.
- 22:14SPEAKER_01: I'm like, I am this is this that's exactly what it seems like.
- 22:18SPEAKER_01: It seems like she was mad at her over like an isolated incident or a couple of isolated incidents.
- 22:24SPEAKER_01: This is not a surprise.
- 22:26SPEAKER_01: Like some stuff obviously happened last year, but now like Jen's really like sinking her teeth into it and like constantly bringing it up and constantly bringing it up, and it's like fucking annoying.
- 22:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and then I know so she has to like explain like Tamara, I've already brought it up to you.
- 22:40SPEAKER_00: Like you are you are well aware of how I felt about things.
- 22:43SPEAKER_00: And my thing was that the thing that confused me was uh Heather just kept talking about all the boxes, but she did make a good point because she's like, I can have a friend and put certain behaviors they don't like in a box, but still like them for who they are.
- 23:00SPEAKER_01: Like your person, just because you're friends with somebody doesn't mean that you're gonna agree with every single thing that they do forever.
- 23:06SPEAKER_01: Like Heather told her, like, you I don't like how you were mean to Emily about the podcast.
- 23:12SPEAKER_01: That doesn't just because she says that to Tamara doesn't mean that she doesn't want to be friends anymore.
- 23:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but then Heather went on the whole thing about putting this person in a box and this person in a box.
- 23:22SPEAKER_00: I was like, you just needed the one explanation about a box.
- 23:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 23:26SPEAKER_00: And I was like, you've lost me with the 20 boxes and compartments.
- 23:29SPEAKER_00: But I did I did understand where she was coming from.
- 23:33SPEAKER_00: And I feel like Heather, when she does have something to say, she makes it very like eloquent and like has a point and it's fluid, yeah, and it's not just like screaming into the oblivion, which I find with some people.
- 23:46SPEAKER_00: So it'll be interesting to find out if this is how she's like always been or if it is an act.
- 23:51SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 23:52SPEAKER_01: Yes, we'll find out.
- 23:53SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 23:54SPEAKER_01: I did like how Tamara was sea paddle boarding before they met up because I want to do that on the ocean.
- 24:03SPEAKER_01: I've only ever done it on a lake.
- 24:05SPEAKER_00: I've never paddleboarded, but when I go on vacation at the end of the month, I booked a snorkeling trip that also apparently includes paddleboarding, so I'm pretty excited.
- 24:14SPEAKER_01: Oh, exciting.
- 24:15SPEAKER_01: Yes, it is fun, it is fun, but I haven't been on anything where there's like actually waves, just flat.
- 24:20SPEAKER_00: I feel like I'm gonna have a Shannon moment and I'm gonna fall off the paddleboard, and we'll see if I can even stand on it.
- 24:28SPEAKER_01: They're really big.
- 24:30SPEAKER_01: Like yeah, but it's me.
- 24:31SPEAKER_00: I broke my collarbone walking up a hill.
- 24:35SPEAKER_00: So you were drinking.
- 24:39SPEAKER_00: I still don't have that much faith.
- 24:41SPEAKER_00: We'll find out.
- 24:42SPEAKER_00: I think I'm probably gonna be better at the snorkeling part, but anyway.
- 24:46SPEAKER_00: Snorkeling is also fine, yeah.
- 24:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Tamara does seem a little irrational and like she does have a hard time forming her thoughts.
- 24:55SPEAKER_01: Like she was trying to call Heather manipulative and like couldn't get the word out.
- 24:59SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 25:00SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 25:01SPEAKER_00: I definitely think Tamara goes a lot more into motion, where uh Heather is a lot more methodical in her thinking and the way she says things.
- 25:10SPEAKER_00: Right, right.
- 25:11SPEAKER_01: Moving on.
- 25:12SPEAKER_01: Now we have a new friendship blossoming between Carmella and Shannon, and they are out shopping, and we just basically like learn a bunch of things about Carmela.
- 25:23SPEAKER_01: Like she's the playmate, she got married when she was 21.
- 25:27SPEAKER_01: The quarterback that she married was like 34, she was like partying all the time and like just always drunk, and he didn't want her to drink, and then like he cheated on her, and she found out by reading a letter on his iPad, and like they're separated but not officially divorced yet.
- 25:49SPEAKER_00: I have a question.
- 25:50SPEAKER_00: Why is it every cheater like has letters and like text like yeah, like why are we documenting this?
- 25:58SPEAKER_00: Why are yeah, exactly?
- 26:00SPEAKER_00: Like, and why are you writing like a letter or an email?
- 26:03SPEAKER_00: Like, it's one thing to have like text, but it's completely different to be like, here is this one-page letter, and here's a different phone number, and then you have it on your iPad.
- 26:15SPEAKER_01: If they were like having an active affair, what was the letter?
- 26:19SPEAKER_01: Like, was the letter breaking it off with her?
- 26:21SPEAKER_01: Was the letter like why would he write her a letter if they're in constant contact and the affair is happening still?
- 26:27SPEAKER_00: I have no idea.
- 26:28SPEAKER_00: It was really baffling to me.
- 26:30SPEAKER_00: I was very confused.
- 26:32SPEAKER_01: I was yeah, she just really like flew through the relationship, and I'm like, I feel like can we pause?
- 26:38SPEAKER_00: Like, I feel like there's more because she's still married to him, she's still married to him because they never got divorced because she wanted to keep custody of the kids, which makes sense because it seems like her kids are totally and completely her life, and that's why she started dating a boyfriend that she has because he was totally willing to take in the kids, and they like just split custody somehow.
- 27:00SPEAKER_01: He's in San Diego, she's an OC, they just came along, so and the kids are teenagers, so they probably just let them go from spot to spot, and it's not a pro because they're not little, yeah.
- 27:12SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 27:13SPEAKER_00: Like the oldest one is 18 and the youngest is 14.
- 27:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 27:16SPEAKER_00: Um, so we I think that was used as just a kind of an introduction to Carmela, really, and then you know, Shannon spending fourteen hundred dollars on a wallet.
- 27:27SPEAKER_00: Shannon is a mess.
- 27:29SPEAKER_00: Are they trying to push the finance narrative at this point?
- 27:33SPEAKER_00: Because we haven't heard how what anyone else pays for like a mortgage or rent or anything like that.
- 27:39SPEAKER_00: You never see anyone with receipts anywhere else.
- 27:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 27:43SPEAKER_00: And then they're like, here, and she's like, Oh, I got a discount.
- 27:46SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, You still spent fourteen hundred dollars on a wallet.
- 27:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they are pushing that.
- 27:52SPEAKER_01: Like, that's definitely an angle that they're going with for sure.
- 27:55SPEAKER_00: I want to know how the angle comes.
- 27:57SPEAKER_00: How deep, and what are we gonna see where it really matters, like in this season?
- 28:03SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 28:04SPEAKER_01: And then you've been I started like flipping back to like earlier seasons, and they've been like doing this about her for like a while.
- 28:11SPEAKER_01: Like, I like have watched a couple of episodes of season 18, and this facelift thing is like a huge part of that, like how she owes John$75,000 and how like she paid for everything when they were in a relationship together, and he never like committed to her like that, and didn't ever get her anything, and then she thought the facelift was a gift, so they've been like talking about like her money situation for like a long time.
- 28:42SPEAKER_00: This will be interesting, yeah.
- 28:44SPEAKER_01: Oh god, I did give a huge eye roll at the TV for one of Carmela's lines that I'm like, what where are you going with this?
- 28:52SPEAKER_00: What did she say?
- 28:53SPEAKER_00: Which one was it?
- 28:54SPEAKER_01: She was like, Everybody in the 2000s was at the Playboy Mansion, Michael Bay, Leonardo DiCaprio, and then she's like, I just remember this one night I was riding in Leo Leonardo DiCaprio's car, and Lose Yourself was playing on the radio, and I just had totally lost myself.
- 29:12SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, okay, where are we going with this?
- 29:15SPEAKER_00: Celebrities that she was saying, I'm like, were they even that big in the 2000s?
- 29:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 29:20SPEAKER_01: Like George Pooney and Leah.
- 29:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they were and Leo, but the other one, wait, I don't doubt it.
- 29:30SPEAKER_01: I don't doubt it, but it's just like when you go on national television and you name drop people like that, and they probably don't remember you at all or know who the fuck you are, it's like kind of embarrassing.
- 29:44SPEAKER_00: It is, that is true, you know.
- 29:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's like when I mean he it's like Vanderpump Rules, where Sheena Shea is like constantly talking about these like famous guys that she slept with when she was like apparently like a big HO like in her early 20s, and they're all just like, This is so embarrassing.
- 30:04SPEAKER_01: Can you stop talking about this?
- 30:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's just it's not the flex that like you think that it is because they probably were at the Playboy Mansion and they probably talked to like a hundred fucking girls and were all like messed up and don't remember at all.
- 30:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because the drugs were definitely flowing at the Playboy Mansion in the early 2000s.
- 30:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I'm like, I don't know.
- 30:25SPEAKER_01: So I'm just like cringing a little bit.
- 30:30SPEAKER_01: And then she like wanted to make it known that like she didn't sleep with Leonardo DiCaprio.
- 30:36SPEAKER_00: It did cross my mind when she said that, and then she said no, but she showed up.
- 30:40SPEAKER_00: And I was like, if you had the opportunity, but then I'm like, Were you married?
- 30:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but she's been cheated on by but the two guys that she's been in relationships with.
- 30:51SPEAKER_01: So she probably should have just done that.
- 30:53SPEAKER_00: Well, she said she left her husband over the infidelity, so I'm just wondering if like that was like a point.
- 31:00SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 31:01SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 31:01SPEAKER_00: I just wanna know if she did the same thing.
- 31:03SPEAKER_00: Anyway, then we go to the next scene and we're heading to Vicky and she's at Tamara's house and she's fucking limping again.
- 31:11SPEAKER_00: And I don't understand.
- 31:14SPEAKER_00: I don't even she's like, Oh, it hurts to work out, it's not good.
- 31:17SPEAKER_00: I'm like, what are you doing?
- 31:18SPEAKER_00: And maybe it's time for a new trainer if your knee hurts, and you say it hurts.
- 31:23SPEAKER_00: So just tossing it out there.
- 31:25SPEAKER_01: She's just so funny.
- 31:27SPEAKER_01: She's okay, this is another thing that she says.
- 31:31SPEAKER_01: So, like, Tamra starts filling her in on this like Heather sort of argument, but they made up thing.
- 31:38SPEAKER_01: And Vicky's take on this whole thing is that she's like, Well, with Heather, I just feel like Heather thinks she's the leader of the pack, but I'm the leader of the pack.
- 31:48SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, that's not even relevant to what Tamra was telling you.
- 31:53SPEAKER_00: No, and it's all because Heather sent her a welcome back check.
- 31:57SPEAKER_01: What?
- 31:58SPEAKER_01: Which is like nice.
- 31:59SPEAKER_01: I mean, unless she thought she was being snarky.
- 32:02SPEAKER_00: No, I wasn't questioning Heather, I was questioning Vicky's take on things.
- 32:06SPEAKER_01: Um her take on things is always just like an out-of-left field.
- 32:11SPEAKER_01: Like it's never in direct response to like what's being told to her.
- 32:14SPEAKER_01: It's like something else.
- 32:16SPEAKER_00: It's like slightly sort of related.
- 32:19SPEAKER_01: It's like adjacent.
- 32:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 32:22SPEAKER_00: And then they randomly start talking about Lake Havasu and like the old times.
- 32:27SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 32:28SPEAKER_01: So this part really like kind of shocked me a little bit.
- 32:32SPEAKER_01: So she cheated on that guy?
- 32:34SPEAKER_01: Is that what she said?
- 32:36SPEAKER_00: I don't I don't understand.
- 32:38SPEAKER_00: I have no no I know that she said that she cheated on someone, but I couldn't determine if she met her boyfriend or her husband.
- 32:44SPEAKER_01: No, she was no, I oh yeah, we need to watch.
- 32:48SPEAKER_01: So basically, like and at Lake Havasu, she ran into her ex-husband, Don.
- 32:52SPEAKER_01: Dawn used to be on the show because this show has been on for like 20 fucking years, apparently.
- 32:58SPEAKER_01: So she Don was like the husband that she was originally married to, I believe.
- 33:03SPEAKER_01: And she saw him there, and she said she just like went up to him and like grabbed his face and said something like really sweet to him, and then her boyfriend was just kind of like bobbing around in the background, like, hi, I'm Mike, Vicky's boyfriend.
- 33:17SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 33:17SPEAKER_01: Like he like intruded on their moment, so like that was awkward.
- 33:21SPEAKER_01: And then Vicky, yeah, just started talking about how like she oh she feels bad about her marriage with Don.
- 33:28SPEAKER_01: She didn't like appreciate being married.
- 33:30SPEAKER_01: I think she used to be like really, really into work, is some of the stuff that I read.
- 33:35SPEAKER_01: Um, and she did mention how she did have an affair once, but I don't know if she meant Don or somebody else.
- 33:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't know either.
- 33:45SPEAKER_00: That I was hoping you could um help me on that, but I guess I was like, wow, don't know scandalous.
- 33:53SPEAKER_00: Very she was like it was just a mess.
- 33:56SPEAKER_00: Let's see, I guess we'll find out we'll need to find out more on that.
- 34:00SPEAKER_01: I feel like we have to go back to season one.
- 34:04SPEAKER_01: Um, okay, so Vicki publicly admitted to emotionally cheating on her ex-husband Don with Brooks heirs, and Brooks is the guy that like pretended that he was dying, right?
- 34:19SPEAKER_00: I think so.
- 34:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 34:21SPEAKER_01: And she regrets divorcing Don for Brooks and confessed that the infidelity and subsequent relationship destroyed my family.
- 34:30SPEAKER_01: Oh damn.
- 34:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we have to go back and watch this.
- 34:34SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 34:36SPEAKER_00: What time are you coming over on Friday?
- 34:38SPEAKER_00: We'll need to binge.
- 34:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah, definitely.
- 34:40SPEAKER_01: That's like insane.
- 34:41SPEAKER_01: Okay, very interesting.
- 34:43SPEAKER_00: So then that's really short, and then we jump over to Carmela and we get to meet her kids.
- 34:48SPEAKER_00: So her two daughters, and her daughter blowing through her$200 Apple Pay allowance on just her lash extensions in the month.
- 34:57SPEAKER_00: Also, why are you 14 and need lash extensions?
- 35:00SPEAKER_01: Why are you getting lash extensions at 14?
- 35:02SPEAKER_01: Like, why?
- 35:04SPEAKER_00: But I was talking to Elaine the other day, and we had this really long discussion because I keep going to the nail salon, and I swear to god, the girls getting their nails done are getting like younger and younger and younger.
- 35:15SPEAKER_00: And I didn't start getting them until I was in, I mean, I got them in high school a couple times, but I didn't get them until I was like halfway through college consistently.
- 35:24SPEAKER_00: And I feel like I'll see like middle schoolers getting like acrylics.
- 35:31SPEAKER_01: I mean, the thing about it for me more is that it's about the money.
- 35:36SPEAKER_01: So I mean, the only way that these girls are doing that is if their parents are giving them the money to do it, because you know none of these girls are fucking working.
- 35:43SPEAKER_00: And so I think it's like, do you think you should get a job to or like find ways to contribute?
- 35:49SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 35:50SPEAKER_01: So, like for me, I yeah, I couldn't, I mean, I had a job all through high school, but I wouldn't have been able to afford lash extensions.
- 35:59SPEAKER_01: I get lash extensions now, they're hundreds of dollars.
- 36:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't think I don't, yeah, I don't think any even if I had a job that would have been a top priority because I wasn't exactly getting$200 a month handed to me.
- 36:12SPEAKER_01: You also have to be careful too with doing that stuff super young because like I know for me, like I know with lashes and nails, like I can't just get them all year or you're gonna totally like destroy your like baseline.
- 36:27SPEAKER_01: So like I cycle them on and off.
- 36:30SPEAKER_01: Like for like half the year, I don't get lash extensions and I use lash serum so that they get back to like full strength.
- 36:37SPEAKER_01: But I feel like if you start doing that stuff really young and you don't know things like that, you're gonna have like stumps for lashes for like your whole life, and then you're gonna be like, Well, I have to get lash extensions because I have no eyelashes, and it's like you have no fucking eyelashes because you've been doing this for like 10 years already, and you're in your 20s.
- 36:56SPEAKER_00: So that was interesting, and then one of her sons is not around, he's supposed to be at track, and she's trying to figure out where he actually is, and we find out that like she her parents were really, really strict when she was growing up, and so she sort of rebels, and I have a feeling that's probably why she went straight to like Playboy Bunny-esque.
- 37:17SPEAKER_00: Because if you're already a playmate of the year and you're 21, you probably got started pretty on the cusp of 18 type of thing.
- 37:24SPEAKER_00: So you can tell that she doesn't want like she wants her daughters to also learn the value of a dollar type of thing, and give them like not super strict, but not total and complete, absolute insane freedom where they want to rebound.
- 37:39SPEAKER_00: Like she makes a good point on wanting, like, if they need to have an emergency, they want her to call her, not call.
- 37:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so we learn a lot for that, and I thought that was kind of nice that she like wants to balance that line.
- 37:52SPEAKER_00: Um, but then we get to the main part of this episode, and they are at Hamburger Mary's celebrating Emily's 50th birthday, and they are all dressed like old ladies and the golden girls, and some of these costumes are absolutely that shit insane.
- 38:12SPEAKER_00: I know I, like I said, I thought Tamra's was hilarious wearing her adult diaper with um questionable things hanging.
- 38:20SPEAKER_00: And I thought that was horrifying.
- 38:23SPEAKER_00: And then Carmela had like the moo with the giant granny butt.
- 38:28SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 38:29SPEAKER_00: And then Tamara just came in like a regular face of makeup with like the gray hair wig and Shannon looked like Jackie Kennedy.
- 38:37SPEAKER_01: That was Jen who just had the hair with the no makeup.
- 38:42SPEAKER_00: Yes, yeah, but Heather also did like the gray and like the bright pink lipstick, and she was like, Oh, it's because I'm married to a plastic surgeon.
- 38:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 38:51SPEAKER_00: But you're right, yeah, it was Jen and Heather who just did like normal makeup and did a wig.
- 38:57SPEAKER_01: Did you hear what Gina said about Shannon?
- 39:00SPEAKER_01: No.
- 39:01SPEAKER_01: She was like, Oh, it's perfect that Shannon's dressed as a Kennedy because she's just like a Kennedy and she like is whacked out all the time.
- 39:08SPEAKER_01: And I was like, wow.
- 39:09SPEAKER_01: So they're basically they're all they're making it seem like Shannon is this like broke drunk, basically.
- 39:17SPEAKER_00: Well, we might need to find more.
- 39:19SPEAKER_00: We need to watch more so we know more.
- 39:21SPEAKER_00: We need to know the lore about Shannon, but it definitely like that.
- 39:25SPEAKER_00: You always hear the stuff about Dorinda, so on New York.
- 39:30SPEAKER_00: So maybe she has a Dorinda type of thing going on.
- 39:34SPEAKER_01: So that yeah, but I hate this theme.
- 39:37SPEAKER_01: I thought that Heather looked the best.
- 39:39SPEAKER_01: That's I guess the direction I would have gone in.
- 39:43SPEAKER_01: I'm not look I'm not wearing ugly makeup to make somebody else feel better.
- 39:47SPEAKER_01: I'm sorry.
- 39:48SPEAKER_01: No.
- 39:48SPEAKER_00: I don't know if it was yeah, I thought it was like kind of odd that that was like the point when Gina said that she wanted it so Emily feels like she's the youngest.
- 39:56SPEAKER_00: But I do think it was a funny theme.
- 39:57SPEAKER_00: I do think it was funny to dress up older when she is gonna be 50.
- 40:02SPEAKER_00: And I mean, I know you want to look fabulous.
- 40:04SPEAKER_01: I know they told them though, also like the golden, like that's another problem that I have with it, is it's making it seem like 50 is like 85.
- 40:14SPEAKER_01: It's like 50.
- 40:15SPEAKER_00: I guess some of the girls were the main age was like Blanche was 52 or something.
- 40:20SPEAKER_01: Because that was the time, and they made it seem like if you were like over 40, you were like a senior citizen.
- 40:25SPEAKER_01: It's like that's not how it is.
- 40:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I'm offended by this.
- 40:29SPEAKER_00: But they do tell her, like they give her, they go around the table and they give her lots of advice, yeah.
- 40:39SPEAKER_00: And Heather went on a whole long ramble that was really nice and inspiring, but I didn't write it down.
- 40:44SPEAKER_00: Um just about like the biggest enemy to yourself can end up being yourself, and so to really just be more confident and trust your gut, uh, because your 50s can be significantly better than your 40s, um, and stuff like that, which was really nice.
- 41:00SPEAKER_00: And then, you know, we go through all these niceties, and then they bring up the freaking Valentine's Day party again, and how it was awkward.
- 41:09SPEAKER_00: Um who brought but who brought it up?
- 41:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Jen.
- 41:13SPEAKER_01: She brought it up out of nowhere, she was like, I just want to talk about this party one more time.
- 41:19SPEAKER_01: It's like, oh my god.
- 41:20SPEAKER_00: Heather has to defend it and be like, the theme was literally like, I want to celebrate all my girlfriends, celebrate friendship, and here you are trying to drag it through.
- 41:28SPEAKER_00: And she was like, Tamra and I had a talk about it.
- 41:31SPEAKER_00: Like, we talked, you don't need to bring it up again.
- 41:34SPEAKER_00: This is pointless.
- 41:36SPEAKER_00: And then, because they were going with honesty, that's when Emily confronts Tamra about the podcast and how she feels like that Tamra is kind of being a bitch about the whole thing.
- 41:49SPEAKER_00: And Tamra does admit that she just wants her to be grateful, but then Emily turns it around and says that you know, if I'm making you money, shouldn't you be grateful?
- 41:57SPEAKER_01: It's just a pet, like I don't even know whose side I'm on with this one because it's just so petty and dumb.
- 42:03SPEAKER_00: It is.
- 42:04SPEAKER_00: It's so stupid, and I'm like, out of anything like you do, like you're at the woman's birthday party, you don't need to well, I mean, Emily brought it up at her own birthday, but I'm like, it's my birthday, I want to just have fun.
- 42:17SPEAKER_00: You're at a drag show playing bingo at like a world famous drag bar.
- 42:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah, like and like I will say, just generally speaking, because we didn't watch the season where this podcast bullshit went down, but I just feel like generally speaking, like everybody should be happy and want their friends to do well.
- 42:37SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 42:38SPEAKER_00: Yes, uh in agreement.
- 42:40SPEAKER_01: I feel like one person doing well doesn't take away from the other person, and the other person doing well doesn't take away from the second person.
- 42:47SPEAKER_01: And I feel like people they do this happens on New Jersey with Teresa all the time.
- 42:51SPEAKER_01: And it's like she gets very jealous, she gets very jealous, and it's like you both like multiple people can have good things going on at the same time, and you should want good things going on for your friends.
- 43:02SPEAKER_00: That's cool, like that's great for everybody, exactly, and then they basically just end it with like let's uh have fun, like and just move forward, and then we pretty much end the episode.
- 43:13SPEAKER_00: There was nothing like too extreme unless you think I'm missing anything.
- 43:18SPEAKER_01: No, they kind of kept like side-eyeing Carmela a little bit.
- 43:24SPEAKER_01: That's the only other thing I wrote down is like Carmela shared a little bit about what she had told Shannon just because they were like asking her about herself, and Vicky like really disapproves of this woman.
- 43:37SPEAKER_01: Vicky's like, Oh, what is Yeah, she's like, This is a lot of dysfunction for four kids when Carmela was saying that like they all get along and like she gets along with the guy's girlfriend, and they like spend holidays together, and Vicky just like did not approve of this situation at all.
- 43:54SPEAKER_00: I think that seems like a win-win situation for the mom, the dad, and the kids.
- 43:58SPEAKER_00: Like, if you're gonna have it.
- 44:00SPEAKER_00: Why do they need to hate each other?
- 44:02SPEAKER_01: No, I agree with that.
- 44:04SPEAKER_01: And the part that is bugging me is this is when she shared that Don Donnie or Danny Danny had also had an affair.
- 44:14SPEAKER_01: And what bothers me about that is like her kids, so they already went through the divorce.
- 44:19SPEAKER_01: Then it's like they move in with this new guy, and like they're old enough to know that he had an affair.
- 44:27SPEAKER_01: Like I'm sure that they know.
- 44:28SPEAKER_01: And like that's kind of fucked up.
- 44:30SPEAKER_01: Like it always just sucks when your parent remarries and they're with somebody that you're like, you have to see something like that.
- 44:39SPEAKER_01: Because it's just like awful for the kids.
- 44:41SPEAKER_00: And they're not even married, they're just like long-term boyfriend and girlfriend.
- 44:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 44:46SPEAKER_00: And it's tough because I you make a good point because he did cheat, but she's like raising her daughters to be like, okay, I divorced your dad.
- 44:54SPEAKER_00: But for this guy, it's gonna be okay, and they're gonna see it, and there's even her son's sons, they're gonna see just like she's thinks it's okay, and I guess it hasn't like it's been off and on.
- 45:07SPEAKER_00: Like it wasn't just one incident, yeah.
- 45:10SPEAKER_00: It's been like more than one, and it wasn't just like a one-night stand.
- 45:13SPEAKER_00: So that I totally understand from Vicky's perspective, but the rest of it seems like a really healthy family dynamic and being so close, like it's what if you know, I want like my parents to have gotten along, type of thing.
- 45:27SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 45:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 45:29SPEAKER_01: So I think that was the part that Vicky was like really like side-eyeing, which I was like, I sort of got, but yeah, and I'm like, now I don't like this Danny guy.
- 45:38SPEAKER_01: I just hate that whole narrative of like I wanted somebody who was gonna accept me for having kids, and then it's like, well, therefore, they can just act like a huge dick because they're like taking care of me and my kids, and I'm like, that's just bullshit.
- 45:51SPEAKER_01: It is, yeah, it is, yeah, it's just it's so annoying to me.
- 45:55SPEAKER_00: So I could see this season having like a couple different excuse me, storylines going from like, is she gonna stay with Danny?
- 46:04SPEAKER_00: Are we gonna see her fracture from Danny because of the infidelity we have?
- 46:08SPEAKER_00: Shannon's finance is and then like just the little things, and like Vicki coming back, and perhaps the because we did see a preview for Carmela and Vicky.
- 46:19SPEAKER_00: So is there kind of a thing where that that that's not gonna work out?
- 46:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 46:27SPEAKER_01: I bet that that's what it's gonna be about.
- 46:31SPEAKER_01: Is Vicky kind of like harping on her, and now this is like gonna be a conflict.
- 46:37SPEAKER_01: I did think it was super funny how they were like, Oh, Vicky, what's being in your 60s like?
- 46:42SPEAKER_01: And she's like, I hate it.
- 46:43SPEAKER_01: I feel like death is staring me in the face all the time.
- 46:46SPEAKER_00: And then she was they're like, but Vicky thinks this all the time, and they show a scene from 2012, and she was like, Can you imagine when we're all old and one of us dies?
- 46:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I know.
- 46:56SPEAKER_01: Well, this is what my mother's like, though.
- 46:59SPEAKER_01: Like, literally, my mom is 55, so she's like young to have a kid like my age, and she's always been like this.
- 47:08SPEAKER_01: She's always been a hypochondriac, and like we were just at the beach last week, and she just kept saying, She just kept mentioning for the rest of the time that I have, she is not sick, like there's nothing wrong with her.
- 47:20SPEAKER_01: And that was like the phrase that she kept using is for the rest of the time that I have, for the rest of the time that I have.
- 47:25SPEAKER_01: Meanwhile, she's like on the cape swimming at the beach.
- 47:29SPEAKER_01: She's like, So as she's saying this one of the times, she's like rubbing like oil on herself, like laying out.
- 47:34SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, Yeah, mom, you really seem like you're knocking on death's door here.
- 47:40SPEAKER_01: Like, you're not old.
- 47:41SPEAKER_01: Like, 55 is not old.
- 47:43SPEAKER_01: No, no, it's not.
- 47:44SPEAKER_01: That's wicked funny.
- 47:46SPEAKER_01: It's so funny.
- 47:47SPEAKER_01: And she has she has, she's always been like that.
- 47:49SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, can we wait till like we're actually knocking on death?
- 47:54SPEAKER_01: Like, I don't want to ever be like that.
- 47:55SPEAKER_01: I don't want to ever think like that.
- 47:56SPEAKER_01: There's no benefit in thinking like that at any point in your life.
- 47:59SPEAKER_00: If if I started to think like that, I'd be like, okay, if I think I'm gonna die soon, I need to check everything off my bucket list.
- 48:05SPEAKER_00: How do we do this before I broke?
- 48:08SPEAKER_01: Like it literally.
- 48:10SPEAKER_01: Like, it's just ridiculous to have that like mindset.
- 48:14SPEAKER_00: That's funny.
- 48:16SPEAKER_00: But other than that, guys, that was really the episode.
- 48:20SPEAKER_00: So shorten it felt shorter too when I was watching it.
- 48:24SPEAKER_01: Not much happened.
- 48:25SPEAKER_01: This was like a filler episode.
- 48:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so uh it'll be interesting to see how it goes.
- 48:30SPEAKER_00: But we appreciate you guys listening in with us and going over OC.
- 48:34SPEAKER_00: Well, again, we just wait for the real housewives of Rhode Island, but this is a good one till next time.
- 48:40SPEAKER_01: Till next time.
