- 0:48Speaker 4: Welcome.
- 0:52Speaker 5: I was just I don't know.
- 0:54Speaker 4: I was so lazy of a yo.
- 0:58Speaker 5: Try again. It was your running into a seat. He
- 1:01Speaker 5: had something to do.
- 1:03Speaker 4: I forgot change.
- 1:04Speaker 2: I forgot to change the panel before the show.
- 1:06Speaker 4: Guys. Okay, it hits the open.
- 1:08Speaker 2: I look up. I'm like, that's not the right one.
- 1:10Speaker 6: Advertising digital ones Okay.
- 1:14Speaker 2: But the worst part is the worst part.
- 1:18Speaker 7: Is I changed one of them. That It is not
- 1:21Speaker 7: like I just forgot that, like I changed one.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Just you haven't forgotten to set up Flynn's microphone yet.
- 1:28Speaker 5: You used to do that to me every never.
- 1:30Speaker 7: Wanted once about randomly once a month, which anyway, he
- 1:35Speaker 7: would just look at me and I'm like, look up,
- 1:39Speaker 7: well I never when I used to come in just
- 1:41Speaker 7: for the hour, I never had a chair, I never
- 1:44Speaker 7: had a microphone.
- 1:45Speaker 4: And I certainly never had any headphones. I have to go.
- 1:49Speaker 8: Digging, digging through the closet in there, things flying out
- 1:53Speaker 8: of there.
- 1:54Speaker 4: But guess what that.
- 1:55Speaker 5: Wasn't really tatoes?
- 1:56Speaker 7: Well, yeah, fairness, we only have like two chairs, got
- 2:01Speaker 7: this a little one over here.
- 2:02Speaker 8: Well he solved it for a while, you are you
- 2:04Speaker 8: would stand up the whole show, and we were kind
- 2:06Speaker 8: of bringing it back a little bit. But so we
- 2:08Speaker 8: didn't need chairs for a while, right, But then all
- 2:10Speaker 8: of a sudden I go in there and y'all are
- 2:11Speaker 8: being lazy one time Wednesday, y'all are sitting for like
- 2:15Speaker 8: a year.
- 2:16Speaker 5: We stood, yeah, all show long.
- 2:19Speaker 3: We do it kind of well, we about half and half,
- 2:21Speaker 3: right about halfway through and get a little antsy, start
- 2:25Speaker 3: to see some squirrels running by.
- 2:26Speaker 5: Gotta stand up, gotta move the body.
- 2:28Speaker 4: Were health freaks, you know.
- 2:30Speaker 6: I do always find myself wishing this chair, this desk
- 2:33Speaker 6: was a little higher up because I always feel like
- 2:36Speaker 6: I have to be like leaned over and I'm like hunching,
- 2:39Speaker 6: and I just feel like gross.
- 2:41Speaker 8: You don't want to hunch No, Yeah, then you get
- 2:43Speaker 8: the little button, a little buzz buzz button.
- 2:45Speaker 5: What has a standing desk?
- 2:47Speaker 9: And that's what Oh yeah, that's what I need.
- 2:50Speaker 5: Yeah, it is a load costco. It's a very low desk,
- 2:54Speaker 5: a weird angle, like.
- 2:56Speaker 9: At first they were accounting for Mario and Musso.
- 2:59Speaker 8: Like I'm short jokes seven o three am Wednesday.
- 3:04Speaker 2: Short, probably average height.
- 3:06Speaker 7: I'm like the second tallest producer as far as like
- 3:10Speaker 7: nails his waist, I mean sitting straight up like it's
- 3:19Speaker 7: at my waist.
- 3:19Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, no, I don't like I've like always had
- 3:22Speaker 6: an issue with how this dusk is.
- 3:27Speaker 5: Yeah, love man wins lifted up, wet.
- 3:30Speaker 4: We can bring some bricks or something.
- 3:33Speaker 9: Sugar packets.
- 3:34Speaker 4: Some sugar packets is shaky.
- 3:37Speaker 6: No, it's actually pretty sturky sugar packets.
- 3:43Speaker 5: We uh, we do have your restaurant. I know, we
- 3:47Speaker 5: have a lot going on today with would you rather?
- 3:51Speaker 3: We've got Roddy Jones joining us as well from ESPN,
- 3:55Speaker 3: and we've got the laundra.
- 4:00Speaker 9: I'm so excited about this.
- 4:01Speaker 5: Yeah, how do we want to go about?
- 4:04Speaker 9: Should people put their questions in now?
- 4:06Speaker 5: I think so it's actually ahead.
- 4:08Speaker 3: I think they should get the questions in now and
- 4:11Speaker 3: then that way you can throw them in the dock
- 4:14Speaker 3: and then you know, whatever time we decide to do it,
- 4:17Speaker 3: then you'll have questions and you can kind of get
- 4:19Speaker 3: a feel for how you want to answer them and
- 4:21Speaker 3: what song maybe you want to play as you.
- 4:24Speaker 9: Put your weird de laundra questions in the chat.
- 4:27Speaker 4: Do we want to kind of guide these questions?
- 4:29Speaker 8: Are they supposed to be like sad life with like
- 4:34Speaker 8: in a sporty way, no life?
- 4:37Speaker 6: Or if you want sports questions, I'm more than happy
- 4:40Speaker 6: to answer them. I know so much about hockey, So
- 4:44Speaker 6: if you got hockey questions, this is the place to
- 4:47Speaker 6: do it.
- 4:48Speaker 5: Hockey answering all of them.
- 4:51Speaker 9: Every sport on Earth, I know all of them.
- 4:54Speaker 3: Only hockey team I really you know know a lot
- 4:57Speaker 3: about is the Shreveport Mumbugs.
- 5:00Speaker 4: Oh yeah, okay, all right, right on.
- 5:02Speaker 5: Sure Tyler had a team.
- 5:05Speaker 8: Tyler did not have a team. We had like a
- 5:08Speaker 8: semi pro baseball team that I came to Tyler.
- 5:13Speaker 5: Team or just independent, but it was I think it
- 5:15Speaker 5: was independent.
- 5:15Speaker 8: It was just semi pro. I think it was old.
- 5:20Speaker 8: It was either people post college that didn't make it
- 5:22Speaker 8: or people.
- 5:23Speaker 4: That had been like in the minors that were no
- 5:26Speaker 4: longer to get there. I remember our our FM radio station,
- 5:31Speaker 4: one of seven point three. They were running a country.
- 5:33Speaker 3: They getting a lot of shout out to the old
- 5:35Speaker 3: radio hands Tyler Texas.
- 5:38Speaker 8: So at the time I think we were middle school,
- 5:40Speaker 8: was like fourth or fifth grade, and they did a
- 5:43Speaker 8: middle schools elementary Oh yeah, that's what's up.
- 5:47Speaker 3: Uh.
- 5:47Speaker 8: They did a thing where you can't even nominated a
- 5:50Speaker 8: team name, so like the city chose the name of
- 5:52Speaker 8: the baseball team.
- 5:53Speaker 5: So it was coming there and there was.
- 5:54Speaker 4: A lot of cool and it's like a lot of
- 5:57Speaker 4: the waiters. The meth gators were one of them. Certainly
- 6:00Speaker 4: laser beams, white, you know, whatever it was. But we
- 6:03Speaker 4: ended up being the Tyler Wildcatters.
- 6:06Speaker 9: That is.
- 6:09Speaker 5: Catters.
- 6:10Speaker 4: Nobody voted on that wildcatters.
- 6:13Speaker 5: Is that bigger than a normal cat.
- 6:15Speaker 4: I think a wild catter is like a oil chaser
- 6:20Speaker 4: or something like that, prospector an old prospector who sinks
- 6:25Speaker 4: exploratory oil whales. So Tyler.
- 6:31Speaker 9: Was going to be the West Texas name than a
- 6:33Speaker 9: East Texas name. I feel like I agree.
- 6:36Speaker 4: Well, Actually, East Texas a lot of oil there, especially
- 6:40Speaker 4: early nineteen hundreds.
- 6:41Speaker 9: It was kind of like, I mean the show Dallas,
- 6:44Speaker 9: remember Tyler. I loved that show.
- 6:47Speaker 8: It was always known to like Tyler kind of skipped
- 6:50Speaker 8: the Great Depression because of the oil there at the time.
- 6:54Speaker 4: Anyway, let's not do it wildcatters. Why not.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Yeah, skipped the eat depressions. Well that's cool.
- 7:02Speaker 9: Yeah, and they got off easy.
- 7:04Speaker 4: I got off easy. I actually don't know that, so
- 7:06Speaker 4: I don't fashion I remember saying, like the.
- 7:09Speaker 7: Sounds like six miles over, like you softies, you didn't
- 7:12Speaker 7: even have the Great Depressions.
- 7:13Speaker 5: About, says Tyler.
- 7:14Speaker 8: So we used to take a little Wes take field
- 7:16Speaker 8: trips in elementary school to kill Gore Texas. Uh, and
- 7:20Speaker 8: they had like East Texas like oil museum. Yeah, kill
- 7:23Speaker 8: gor Junior college joke, George Bush's favorite city.
- 7:27Speaker 4: I don't know if we should say that on there,
- 7:29Speaker 4: but it's George Bush's favorite joke. It was like the
- 7:32Speaker 4: middle school joke and.
- 7:35Speaker 5: Two thousand when they had the rook count.
- 7:37Speaker 4: It's George W.
- 7:38Speaker 8: Bush's favorite city in Texas.
- 7:41Speaker 4: Not cool, cool, George, I mean us.
- 7:47Speaker 5: Joke even a bad.
- 7:50Speaker 2: It's a good joke.
- 7:53Speaker 5: Here.
- 7:54Speaker 6: No, it's not even like a like a bad You
- 7:57Speaker 6: can't take that. But he didn't really actually kill.
- 8:00Speaker 5: And he didn't say that. Yeah, he just said watch
- 8:02Speaker 5: his drive watching.
- 8:03Speaker 4: The draft Weapons of Mass Destruction. I watched his draft.
- 8:09Speaker 9: What a guy.
- 8:10Speaker 5: What a guy?
- 8:10Speaker 9: What a president?
- 8:12Speaker 5: What a guy? Great guy.
- 8:14Speaker 3: Hey, I'm proud of you for doing your film study.
- 8:16Speaker 3: By the way, I'm still doing it.
- 8:18Speaker 5: I know we're not going to get fully into it.
- 8:21Speaker 9: Those are some really late text messages in the Well.
- 8:23Speaker 4: Look, I I woke up.
- 8:25Speaker 9: And was like, whoa, what happened last night?
- 8:27Speaker 4: I'm burning the candle guys.
- 8:28Speaker 3: Funny the youngest on set was asleep and the old guys.
- 8:33Speaker 9: Yeah, chopping I sleep.
- 8:36Speaker 4: Oh you did like go work out like four thirty
- 8:39Speaker 4: yesterday or something? Yea, yeah, yeah, I was up late
- 8:43Speaker 4: studying film, just crunching film on Kate Club Nick for
- 8:46Speaker 4: absolutely no reason. I mean, I don't have a you know,
- 8:49Speaker 4: dog in a fight.
- 8:50Speaker 8: You know, I'm not game planning for him, just coming
- 8:52Speaker 8: here to give you a little four minute breakdown tomorrow.
- 8:54Speaker 3: That's your dog in the fight, Mit? Is you doing
- 8:57Speaker 3: your job and breaking down Kate Club Nick?
- 9:00Speaker 4: That's kind of like.
- 9:02Speaker 8: I like watching film and I like watching football. Is like,
- 9:04Speaker 8: when I start watching it, that's probably gonna be my thing.
- 9:07Speaker 8: Like if I'm breaking down a team to give a
- 9:09Speaker 8: breakdown on the show or a player.
- 9:11Speaker 4: I'll probably watch like twelve hours of film for eight minute. That.
- 9:14Speaker 8: Yeah, we probably need to get you a clicker. Definitely
- 9:17Speaker 8: need to give me a clicker. Definitely have to have
- 9:19Speaker 8: good internet for that. That website, it's just pretty it's
- 9:23Speaker 8: a pretty robust website.
- 9:26Speaker 3: Well, if you weren't watching card Breaks while you were
- 9:28Speaker 3: watching the tape.
- 9:30Speaker 4: Card Breaks on my phone, were you on Wi Fi?
- 9:33Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly, you're taking some of it if you would
- 9:36Speaker 3: just give it all, all the bandwidth to the internet.
- 9:39Speaker 8: Actually, I got a new I got a new modem
- 9:41Speaker 8: the other day because our modem that we've had for
- 9:43Speaker 8: like five years.
- 9:43Speaker 5: Like fried, just died.
- 9:44Speaker 4: So I went and got a new one. Suckers humming
- 9:49Speaker 4: doesn't sound like it. Oh, I Actually I came in
- 9:51Speaker 4: this morning. I was watching film this morning in the studio.
- 9:53Speaker 4: It was better at a house than here. This.
- 9:55Speaker 5: Well, I can tell you that, no for being a media.
- 9:58Speaker 3: Company, media company, this little internet some fiber over here?
- 10:05Speaker 5: Is that what y'all have over there?
- 10:08Speaker 4: Look, we got whatever internet everybody else got. I don't
- 10:12Speaker 4: know what we have over here.
- 10:14Speaker 5: It spins a lot over here.
- 10:16Speaker 7: I doubt this is fiber, just because like it kind
- 10:19Speaker 7: of goes out a lot.
- 10:21Speaker 4: Yeah, it's like well and.
- 10:24Speaker 7: Like this goes out because of like like weather and
- 10:28Speaker 7: all that, like the wind and like fibers in the ground.
- 10:32Speaker 4: Doubt this is fiber.
- 10:32Speaker 8: You gotta fill in the wire here coming from the
- 10:35Speaker 8: road or wherever it comes from.
- 10:36Speaker 4: It's just like laid on the tape.
- 10:40Speaker 2: It it's it's fiber.
- 10:43Speaker 7: They never buried the lines there.
- 10:46Speaker 8: They put tape on it. They forgot about it. Some
- 10:48Speaker 8: parts is exposed a little bit, so don't touch it.
- 10:52Speaker 8: And when like someone drives over it, that's when the
- 10:54Speaker 8: internet goes out, when someone drives over to the parking lot.
- 10:58Speaker 3: All right, let's take a break in when we come back,
- 11:00Speaker 3: will get this thing started off the bench, all right?

- 12:43Speaker 3: Do all right, Welcome back again, O TV one, O

- 13:31Speaker 8: you go do it one time and see the difference.
- 13:32Speaker 8: It's like immediate relief for whatever, like a symptom of
- 13:35Speaker 8: be low energy, hangover.
- 13:36Speaker 4: Whatever it is like, just go do it. Go try.
- 13:39Speaker 8: I know it can be a little nerve wracking, but
- 13:41Speaker 8: go talk to the today. It's an awesome experience, awesome atmosphere.
- 13:44Speaker 8: Goflowiv dot com.
- 13:46Speaker 3: All right, So I'm gonna kind of combine a couple
- 13:49Speaker 3: of the segments together here that are in the doc
- 13:52Speaker 3: and Taylor, you did a good job of putting at
- 13:55Speaker 3: eight am, if you'll see there.
- 13:56Speaker 5: The LSU Freak of the Week is Chris Hilton. June.
- 14:00Speaker 3: The Freak of the Week is somebody that in the
- 14:02Speaker 3: weight room out there on the field doing the drills
- 14:05Speaker 3: has caught the eye of the shrink staff. It's crazy
- 14:09Speaker 3: me and Flynn never won the Freak of the Week
- 14:11Speaker 3: demand to recount, but not officially, not officially, we're.
- 14:16Speaker 5: Not even on like the little the wall that they
- 14:17Speaker 5: used to have back there.
- 14:18Speaker 3: But Chris Hilton Junior is, and as we know, Chris
- 14:21Speaker 3: Hilton Junior is somebody that certainly LSU fans were excited about.
- 14:26Speaker 5: He gets hurt during training camp, it was a long road.
- 14:29Speaker 3: Back to the field, and once he got back to
- 14:30Speaker 3: the field, you saw the rust. But at the end
- 14:33Speaker 3: of the year he was thriving and he was that target,
- 14:36Speaker 3: that deep threat that Garrett Nessmeyer had been waiting on.
- 14:39Speaker 3: Had a great game against Oklahoma, did great in the
- 14:41Speaker 3: bowl game. So there's Chris Hilton Junior well over on
- 14:45Speaker 3: ESPN dot com. And here's where we combine some of
- 14:48Speaker 3: the segments they for every top twenty five team kind
- 14:53Speaker 3: of highlighted somebody that is going to be a sleeper
- 14:56Speaker 3: for that team. Well, there is is receiver Barry and Brown.
- 15:00Speaker 5: So you start to look.
- 15:02Speaker 3: At some of the things surrounding these targets for Garrett
- 15:05Speaker 3: Nusmeyer some of the preseason hype, and those are you know,
- 15:09Speaker 3: two guys that weren't.
- 15:10Speaker 5: The leading receiver.
- 15:11Speaker 3: The leading receiver was actually Aaron Anderson, who's also back
- 15:15Speaker 3: on this team. You get Nick Anderson to transfer from Oklahoma,
- 15:20Speaker 3: you get two new tight ends to come in to
- 15:23Speaker 3: this offense. And so when you start to look around,
- 15:26Speaker 3: and by the way, Barrion Brown and Chris Hilton Junior
- 15:29Speaker 3: the NCAA video game, the you know, the ratings got released,
- 15:34Speaker 3: they are two of the fastest ten people on the game.
- 15:38Speaker 5: They're both top three fast ten.
- 15:39Speaker 3: Yeah, overall, regardless of position, those two guys are top ten.
- 15:45Speaker 3: So you got some real burners. You got a little
- 15:48Speaker 3: bit of everything. Nick Anderson has the size. Aaron Anderson
- 15:51Speaker 3: thrived in the slot trade. As Green's gonna kind of
- 15:54Speaker 3: be all over the place. He'll be like a true f.
- 15:56Speaker 3: Probably not lining up a lot as a why, but
- 15:58Speaker 3: he's gonna be a true F. He's going to kind
- 16:00Speaker 3: of move around, think like Antonio Gates, Travis Kelcey, that
- 16:04Speaker 3: kind of role. I think the weapons are better this
- 16:07Speaker 3: year for Garrett Nesmier than they were a year ago.
- 16:12Speaker 4: Yeah, they're.
- 16:15Speaker 8: The offense we said at the other day, the offense
- 16:18Speaker 8: that LSU is going to be able to put there
- 16:22Speaker 8: weekend week out in twenty twenty five has the potential. No, no,
- 16:27Speaker 8: you know, barn, there's's gotta have some fortune. You got
- 16:30Speaker 8: to you gotta stay healthy, you gotta do all the
- 16:31Speaker 8: things right, you gotta do all the things you have
- 16:33Speaker 8: to do anytimes you want to make a run. But
- 16:38Speaker 8: they're gonna have the opportunity to have a squad that
- 16:41Speaker 8: anytime they touch the ball, LSU fans are gonna feel
- 16:45Speaker 8: pretty comfortable that we got a shot to go down
- 16:48Speaker 8: and score at least three. Now, we had this with
- 16:50Speaker 8: with Jayden Daniels in his senior year. Hey, it doesn't
- 16:53Speaker 8: matter what the time of the game it was, it
- 16:56Speaker 8: doesn't matter what yard line it was on, what the
- 16:58Speaker 8: situation was.
- 17:00Speaker 4: We were all really.
- 17:01Speaker 8: Really confident that Jaydon Daniels in that offense was gonna
- 17:05Speaker 8: cook and they were gonna go down there.
- 17:07Speaker 5: They were shocked if they didn't score a touch, you
- 17:08Speaker 5: really were.
- 17:09Speaker 8: And it was because we kept seeing it and they
- 17:12Speaker 8: like even at the beginning middle of the year, we're like,
- 17:14Speaker 8: all right, man, this is there's no way this is
- 17:15Speaker 8: gonna happen. There's no way they can score six times
- 17:17Speaker 8: in a row, right like, and they just kept doing
- 17:19Speaker 8: it and doing it, no matter what the no matter
- 17:22Speaker 8: what the situation was. So we have a chance because
- 17:25Speaker 8: of the talent, because of the the experience that we
- 17:30Speaker 8: have at quarterback. It's such it's such an important thing.
- 17:33Speaker 8: So you're one to year two for Garrett Nessmayer as
- 17:36Speaker 8: a full time starter is going to be a big
- 17:39Speaker 8: jump in a positive way. Now there are things that
- 17:41Speaker 8: he did last year that you can't really improve on
- 17:43Speaker 8: because he was making NFL throws, NFL reads. But there
- 17:47Speaker 8: was lulls.
- 17:47Speaker 4: During the season. We saw it in the second half
- 17:49Speaker 4: versus Texas Day and now we see it, we see
- 17:51Speaker 4: little mistakes here and there.
- 17:53Speaker 8: Those things will get cleaned up. Now, everything's not going
- 17:56Speaker 8: to be perfect all the time. No one can expect
- 17:58Speaker 8: that in any any situation or any sport. But there
- 18:02Speaker 8: is that jump from your one to year two. It's
- 18:05Speaker 8: going to be exponential, I believe from the little little
- 18:08Speaker 8: things from the quarterback position, so from the timing, his
- 18:11Speaker 8: pre snap reads, post snap reads, how he gets the
- 18:13Speaker 8: ball out, his rhythm, his comfortability reading over the middle,
- 18:16Speaker 8: getting from first read secondary third read and just like
- 18:20Speaker 8: you described that first read secondary third read are all dudes.
- 18:25Speaker 5: Yeah, you just said it. Two guys that.
- 18:26Speaker 8: Are in the top ten and speed and you know
- 18:28Speaker 8: video game, but that's based on real life statistics, right
- 18:33Speaker 8: Aaron Anderson receiver leading receiver receivers, shifty, a trustworthy guy.
- 18:41Speaker 8: And this seems like we're putting together a wide receiver
- 18:44Speaker 8: corps that not only understands what to do in the offense,
- 18:48Speaker 8: but they understand the why of what they're doing, Like
- 18:51Speaker 8: not only like, Okay, I have I have a backside
- 18:55Speaker 8: twelve to fourteen yard end route. Okay, great, I know
- 18:59Speaker 8: how to run that route. I do it every day
- 19:00Speaker 8: in seven on seven. I do it every day routes
- 19:02Speaker 8: on air. But they understand why why is that route
- 19:05Speaker 8: added to as a backside tag to a three by one?
- 19:10Speaker 4: I'll go special with a hinge on the outside, Like,
- 19:12Speaker 4: why is it added to that? What is the timing
- 19:15Speaker 4: of that route? Okay, it's cover three? I know right
- 19:18Speaker 4: now based on cover three, I'm the third read. So
- 19:23Speaker 4: do I need to run a four to two nine
- 19:25Speaker 4: to get to my spot? No?
- 19:26Speaker 8: I don't need to do it because I'm gonna get
- 19:28Speaker 8: past the hall before the quarterback's right coming to me.
- 19:31Speaker 8: So they under and that's what you get with experience.
- 19:33Speaker 8: That's what you get with an experienced quarterback, but experience
- 19:36Speaker 8: wide receiver group and an offense that has been doing
- 19:38Speaker 8: it at a high level for multiple years.
- 19:41Speaker 3: So, as we mentioned Aaron Anderson coming back, sixty one catches,
- 19:45Speaker 3: eight hundred and eighty four yards, over fourteen yards per catch,
- 19:48Speaker 3: and had five scores. Now you lose a couple of
- 19:52Speaker 3: guys to graduation. C DA Daniels goes to Miami, so
- 19:56Speaker 3: he moves on there. But again like you're replacing him
- 19:59Speaker 3: with Brian Brown and you got Nick Anderson coming in.
- 20:02Speaker 3: But also like Chris Hilton Junior last year, I know,
- 20:06Speaker 3: I know, I know how many catches he had. Look,
- 20:09Speaker 3: we talked a lot about him on the show. It
- 20:12Speaker 3: was nine catches, but he averaged twenty seven yards per catch,
- 20:16Speaker 3: and in those nine catches he had three touchdowns. At
- 20:20Speaker 3: the end of the year, defensive backs were terrified that
- 20:23Speaker 3: he was going to run past him, and for good reason,
- 20:26Speaker 3: because he did. Right, you finally started to see that
- 20:29Speaker 3: connection if that connection can continue to grow. Right when
- 20:34Speaker 3: he even talked about Xavion Thomas yet who Look, he's
- 20:38Speaker 3: kind of a jack of all trades. I think you're
- 20:39Speaker 3: gonna see him line up kind of everywhere. I mean, hell,
- 20:41Speaker 3: he ran counter like three times last year from the
- 20:43Speaker 3: running back position. So I think Chris Hilton Junior, though,
- 20:47Speaker 3: is going to be massive for how far this team goes.
- 20:52Speaker 4: Yeah, you need a guy that can take the top off, right,
- 20:55Speaker 4: you have to have that. You gotta got.
- 20:56Speaker 8: You have to have a deep threat, a speed threat.
- 20:59Speaker 8: But I think, thank he's so much more than that.
- 21:01Speaker 8: I think he's a crisp we're outrunner. I think he
- 21:03Speaker 8: does all the things well that you need him to
- 21:04Speaker 8: do on the outside. And yeah, you saw him when
- 21:06Speaker 8: he came back from injury last year.
- 21:08Speaker 4: He had missed.
- 21:08Speaker 8: We had some some misstime jumps and little things that
- 21:11Speaker 8: it's like, I mean, hell, this dude has been out
- 21:13Speaker 8: for a long time. He's getting thrown in there, and yeah,
- 21:16Speaker 8: there's gonna be some some missteps, but that got cleaned
- 21:19Speaker 8: up real fast. And so man, it's a lot to
- 21:22Speaker 8: look forward to. Chris Hilden's gonna be a huge, huge
- 21:25Speaker 8: part of it. Looking forward to him staying healthy and
- 21:29Speaker 8: getting out the field and kind of looking for a
- 21:32Speaker 8: lot of these guys to take over.
- 21:33Speaker 4: Man, there's gonna be this.
- 21:34Speaker 8: This has like the the potential. This has the feeling
- 21:38Speaker 8: of an offense that you know I'm gonna do. Like
- 21:41Speaker 8: comparisons from my experience, right uh So, like when we
- 21:45Speaker 8: were in Green Bay and we had wide receiver corps
- 21:47Speaker 8: with Greg Jennings, James Jones, Donald Driver, Jordy Nelson, Jerichael
- 21:51Speaker 8: Finley at tied end, like we had some point like this,
- 21:54Speaker 8: it was spread out evenly, like everyone had a different
- 21:56Speaker 8: skill set. And I feel like that's like this with
- 21:58Speaker 8: this LSU team. Everybody we very talented across the board,
- 22:01Speaker 8: different skill sets. But like when we were in Green Bay,
- 22:05Speaker 8: it was like, Okay, well this week it was James
- 22:07Speaker 8: Jones's day one and seven, right, Oh, next week, all right,
- 22:10Speaker 8: it was Jordi caught three touchdowns in two twenty The
- 22:13Speaker 8: next day, next game, Greg Jennings, Like you just never
- 22:15Speaker 8: knew you didn't have just that one dude. Everybody had
- 22:18Speaker 8: a key on, like Calvin Johnson with the Lions that
- 22:21Speaker 8: we always had a key on that guy.
- 22:23Speaker 4: You don't.
- 22:24Speaker 8: This is a kind of a luxury, an embarrassment of riches.
- 22:28Speaker 8: I guess from a talent standpoint, because they can't just say,
- 22:30Speaker 8: all right, we're gonna double this guy and zone everybody else.
- 22:34Speaker 3: So what would you like to see them do with
- 22:36Speaker 3: trade as Green? Now he's you know, obviously going to
- 22:39Speaker 3: fully move back to tight end. Last year a little
- 22:41Speaker 3: back and forth between tight end and receiver. I mean
- 22:44Speaker 3: last year he had thirteen catches, but of those thirteen catches,
- 22:47Speaker 3: four went for touchdowns.
- 22:50Speaker 4: That's decent. Yeah, pretty good, low percentage there.
- 22:54Speaker 3: Look, he is going to be a unique part of
- 22:56Speaker 3: an offense because he's not going to be a hand
- 23:00Speaker 3: in the dirt y tight end.
- 23:03Speaker 5: He's not going to always just live in the slot.
- 23:05Speaker 4: Like.
- 23:05Speaker 3: He's going to have to do some things in the
- 23:07Speaker 3: run game as well, because like, the last thing that
- 23:09Speaker 3: you want to do is fall into tendencies. Okay, man, Hey,
- 23:12Speaker 3: when Treds is lined up here, they're not running the football, right.
- 23:15Speaker 3: You've got to be able to run the football. You've
- 23:17Speaker 3: got to be able to do the things that we're
- 23:19Speaker 3: talking about. And you are an X factor in the
- 23:22Speaker 3: past game, and you brought in two other tight ends
- 23:24Speaker 3: to help you out there.
- 23:26Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean the tight end position has changed so much,
- 23:30Speaker 4: Like there are very few just old school traditional tight
- 23:34Speaker 4: ends that are gonna.
- 23:35Speaker 8: I mean you have like your your George Kittles that
- 23:37Speaker 8: are that can that can do both be explosive in
- 23:40Speaker 8: the past game but also knock your block off in
- 23:42Speaker 8: the in the running game.
- 23:44Speaker 5: You have very few of that.
- 23:45Speaker 8: So we were talking about tight ends last week and
- 23:49Speaker 8: we were talking about Travis Kelsey as well. Yeah, he's
- 23:52Speaker 8: just a glorified like big wide receiver.
- 23:54Speaker 4: Right.
- 23:54Speaker 8: He does blocking and he can get it done. But
- 23:57Speaker 8: how they use him a lot of shifts motion. There's
- 24:00Speaker 8: a lot of bluff blocks, like so you fake the block,
- 24:03Speaker 8: go to the flat, fake the block, run a drag
- 24:05Speaker 8: right across the middle, whatever it is. Like, if you
- 24:07Speaker 8: do it that way, then you can you can make
- 24:09Speaker 8: a guy that's not such a natural like hard nosed blocker,
- 24:12Speaker 8: you can make him a successful blocker because if a
- 24:14Speaker 8: defensive end never knows if he's actually blocking or he's
- 24:17Speaker 8: bluffing and going around him, you keep him off balanced
- 24:19Speaker 8: a little bit.
- 24:21Speaker 4: But you very expert. I mean in college football we.
- 24:25Speaker 3: Would do that stuff too, where all right, you got
- 24:28Speaker 3: you know this grown man rusher on the edge, well,
- 24:32Speaker 3: at fullback, I would run right at him and then
- 24:35Speaker 3: the last minute, I would, you know, kind of duck
- 24:37Speaker 3: outside and then go to the next level, and here
- 24:40Speaker 3: comes somebody to wipe him out. Right, here comes maybe
- 24:44Speaker 3: a backside tight end, and maybe it looks like a
- 24:46Speaker 3: two poll er kind of Look, it's because the tight
- 24:48Speaker 3: end you're trying to help him out as much as
- 24:50Speaker 3: you can. You're trying to slow the edge rusher down
- 24:53Speaker 3: so he can just kind of clean him up on
- 24:54Speaker 3: your way to the second level. Like, there's ways, and
- 24:57Speaker 3: I don't want to say to hide it, but there's ways.
- 25:03Speaker 4: Look for any advantage you can.
- 25:05Speaker 8: That's what good good offensive coordinators do, is like Taylor,
- 25:08Speaker 8: the offense around your skill set. Right, So, like I said,
- 25:13Speaker 8: there's not many just I'm gonna line up in front
- 25:16Speaker 8: of you. I'm gonna put my face mask in your
- 25:18Speaker 8: face mask. I can block anybody. Well, we used to
- 25:20Speaker 8: have some tight ends to who was it in Seattle?
- 25:25Speaker 8: He had a guy Zach.
- 25:28Speaker 4: Miller. Yeah, Arizona State Zach Miller. Is that right? Oh
- 25:31Speaker 4: my god?
- 25:31Speaker 8: Like that dude would block your face off like he was.
- 25:35Speaker 8: He could pass block almost better than our offensive tackles. Yeah,
- 25:38Speaker 8: that dude. You just don't see that a lot in
- 25:41Speaker 8: this day and age, in this type of game and
- 25:44Speaker 8: in that and frankly that position wouldn't fit in the
- 25:46Speaker 8: offense right now. So yeah, they can utilize him obviously
- 25:50Speaker 8: touchdown threat, red zone threat, but utilize him just like
- 25:54Speaker 8: you do like a he the like Travis.
- 25:57Speaker 4: Kelcey in Kansas City.
- 26:00Speaker 8: A glorified big wide receiver creates matchup problems, especially when
- 26:03Speaker 8: you if you can per like with personnel, with formation,
- 26:08Speaker 8: with motions, if you can get a matched up on
- 26:09Speaker 8: a smaller dB too. That's the job of Joe Sloan.
- 26:14Speaker 8: How can I create advantageous matchups for my personnel, for
- 26:17Speaker 8: my strengths, for my tall guys or my big guys,
- 26:20Speaker 8: for my fast guys.
- 26:21Speaker 3: Also, I think, look, you got to be able to
- 26:24Speaker 3: run the football, and you got to be able to
- 26:26Speaker 3: do that to take some pressure off of your passing game.
- 26:30Speaker 3: Last year, the offensive line, we talked about it. They
- 26:33Speaker 3: were elite in past protection. They were I mean, you
- 26:37Speaker 3: looked at at some of the pockets and outside of
- 26:40Speaker 3: maybe one game, they did a really nice job of
- 26:44Speaker 3: protecting Garrett Nesmyer, giving him the opportunity to step up
- 26:46Speaker 3: in the pocket.
- 26:48Speaker 5: It has to go up in the run game.
- 26:50Speaker 3: And look, you had four offensive linemen drafted off that
- 26:54Speaker 3: offensive line last year, so a very talented group. They
- 26:58Speaker 3: got to figure it out how like whatever it is schematically,
- 27:03Speaker 3: the running backs being able to read it, just a
- 27:06Speaker 3: lot of like Look, Kateen Dorman was a freshman, did
- 27:08Speaker 3: a fantastic had a hell of a freshman year. He
- 27:10Speaker 3: was banged up most of the year. I believe it
- 27:12Speaker 3: was like he had a broken towers, like two toes
- 27:15Speaker 3: or something crazy like that, and he still went out
- 27:17Speaker 3: there and played at a really high level. But that
- 27:20Speaker 3: part of it has to go up because you got
- 27:24Speaker 3: to take some pressure off the passing game to not
- 27:26Speaker 3: have to go out there and feel like they got
- 27:28Speaker 3: to do it through the air.
- 27:29Speaker 5: And again, Katin Dorm was good last year.
- 27:31Speaker 3: Seven hundred and fifty three yards over five yards almost
- 27:34Speaker 3: five and a half per carry, had an eighty six yarder,
- 27:37Speaker 3: six touchdowns. Josh Williams was kind of mister consistent. He
- 27:40Speaker 3: came in. He gave you four hundred and eighty two
- 27:43Speaker 3: yards on the ground as well. But it was like
- 27:45Speaker 3: you got to be able to dictate the pace of
- 27:47Speaker 3: the game sometimes impose your will on the defense and
- 27:51Speaker 3: say now we're running the football and there's nothing you
- 27:53Speaker 3: can do about it.
- 27:53Speaker 5: They didn't have that last year.
- 27:55Speaker 4: Yeah, it was.
- 27:57Speaker 8: That was that was the most frustrating part of this
- 28:00Speaker 8: season last year, watching just from home or the stands
- 28:03Speaker 8: where we were watching, it was, I get it, like
- 28:06Speaker 8: in this this with our offense, with our skill set
- 28:08Speaker 8: that we have, Yeah, we're gonna throw the ball. It's
- 28:09Speaker 8: gonna be a throw first situation.
- 28:12Speaker 4: That's what we're.
- 28:12Speaker 8: Gonna like when the backs against the wall, that's what
- 28:15Speaker 8: we're gonna lean to. And then we're gonna throw you
- 28:18Speaker 8: off balance with with some running game here and there.
- 28:21Speaker 8: But the frustrating part for all of us was when
- 28:24Speaker 8: we had to run, when we got in third and
- 28:27Speaker 8: short and lots of fourth and shorts and we had
- 28:30Speaker 8: to run. When you told the defense, I know we're running.
- 28:36Speaker 8: You know we're running. Let's just see who wins. We
- 28:39Speaker 8: didn't win. We just didn't do it.
- 28:42Speaker 4: And so you can say, you can you can call
- 28:44Speaker 4: it a lot of things.
- 28:45Speaker 8: You can call the running, the woes and the running game,
- 28:47Speaker 8: you know, lack of creativity. We need to add this
- 28:49Speaker 8: and that, and we can get into those x's and
- 28:51Speaker 8: o's about what we feel like they should do in
- 28:54Speaker 8: the running game. From from a schematic standpoint, but at
- 28:58Speaker 8: the end of the day, when it's worth the one,
- 29:00Speaker 8: you have to there's an attitude that's involved. You have
- 29:02Speaker 8: to the offensive line that have to be taught to
- 29:05Speaker 8: they have to get the first down with their body
- 29:07Speaker 8: if they won any chance of the running back getting
- 29:10Speaker 8: the first down. That's where you used to always teaching
- 29:12Speaker 8: the goal one. That's what all of our coaches, whether
- 29:14Speaker 8: it was Jimbo krista.
- 29:16Speaker 4: Less crowdon, whatever it was, it was telling the offensive
- 29:19Speaker 4: lineman on if it's third and one, fourth and one
- 29:23Speaker 4: on the.
- 29:23Speaker 8: Goal, you have to score. You have to score, finish
- 29:26Speaker 8: in the end zone if you want any chance. And
- 29:29Speaker 8: you know, it just was very disappointing last year from
- 29:32Speaker 8: that standpoint. I don't know if it was just physical matchup. Maybe,
- 29:39Speaker 8: you know, obviously the offensive line.
- 29:42Speaker 4: They were more talented at pass blocking, and that's what
- 29:47Speaker 4: that's why they got a bunch of them playing in
- 29:50Speaker 4: the next level, because that's what NFL lineman they'd always
- 29:53Speaker 4: used to come to me and be like, you know,
- 29:54Speaker 4: I don't really care about run blocking.
- 29:56Speaker 8: Run block for show, pass block for dough buddy, Like
- 30:00Speaker 8: they didn't bring me here, they didn't draft me in
- 30:02Speaker 8: the first round to come here and run block.
- 30:04Speaker 3: Are all turns, leaving us out there on an island
- 30:08Speaker 3: to do it all by ourself.
- 30:10Speaker 4: But yeah, we gotta get better this year.
- 30:11Speaker 8: We gotta be better running the ball, whether it's third
- 30:14Speaker 8: and short, fourth and short, or just.
- 30:16Speaker 4: First and ten.
- 30:16Speaker 8: We have to be able to threaten if we can't threaten,
- 30:19Speaker 8: because play action is such a big part of this offense,
- 30:22Speaker 8: and it needs to be if we want to be
- 30:24Speaker 8: able to make the run we want to.
- 30:26Speaker 3: Last year, real quick, before we take a break, Lsu
- 30:29Speaker 3: ran the football three hundred and forty six times. Forty
- 30:32Speaker 3: nine were outside zone. That's fourteen percent inside zone one
- 30:36Speaker 3: hundred and sixty one of the three forty six, so
- 30:39Speaker 3: about half the time forty seven percent when you were
- 30:42Speaker 3: running the football it was inside zone. You ran only
- 30:46Speaker 3: eight powers all year long. Two percent of your runs.
- 30:50Speaker 3: Now you did run counter a bunch. Twenty two percent
- 30:52Speaker 3: of your runs came from counters, which you ran seventy
- 30:56Speaker 3: seven times.
- 30:57Speaker 8: And I'm basing all this on memory of watching the
- 30:59Speaker 8: game last year, watching all the games last year, probably
- 31:02Speaker 8: with few pops in me at the time too, But
- 31:06Speaker 8: I like a lot of you said forty seven percent
- 31:08Speaker 8: on inside zone on our running plays. I would say
- 31:12Speaker 8: the first half of that game or first half of
- 31:14Speaker 8: the season was probably like seventy five eighty percent. Now
- 31:17Speaker 8: they started sprinkling in some new schemes later on in
- 31:20Speaker 8: the season.
- 31:21Speaker 5: Counter I mentioned that was one of your bigger runs, but.
- 31:23Speaker 4: It was more towards the end of the year.
- 31:25Speaker 8: Right beginning of the season, it was inside inside, inside, inside, inside, outside, inside,
- 31:32Speaker 8: inside outside, you know what I mean.
- 31:34Speaker 4: It was. It was that kind of deal.
- 31:35Speaker 8: And that's the that's the difficult part about going fast
- 31:39Speaker 8: as an offense and running muddle huddles or no huddles,
- 31:42Speaker 8: and just the new day and age in football is
- 31:45Speaker 8: there's not that many schemes you can get to. Like
- 31:48Speaker 8: that's what we used to always say on offense, like
- 31:50Speaker 8: if we go fast, the defense doesn't have a time
- 31:53Speaker 8: or a chance to like get into these intricate like
- 31:56Speaker 8: walk around defenses. They don't have a lot. They can't
- 32:00Speaker 8: you know, bluff you a lot. They have to run
- 32:02Speaker 8: pretty much base. But it also affects you because you
- 32:05Speaker 8: kind of have to run bas But you see teams
- 32:07Speaker 8: doing it all the time. They're running counters, they're running powers,
- 32:09Speaker 8: they're running ISOs, They're running different things in that situation.
- 32:15Speaker 8: So I'm sure it's been a point of emphasis. It
- 32:17Speaker 8: has to be like they can't.
- 32:20Speaker 4: They can't sit there and look at the film last
- 32:21Speaker 4: year and say, yep, let's Prinson repeat that. Baby?
- 32:25Speaker 5: What was yase code word for counter you're talking about
- 32:29Speaker 5: like muddle huddle.
- 32:30Speaker 4: That's a good question.
- 32:32Speaker 3: I don't know for us Laddell for Chuck, Liddell was left,
- 32:35Speaker 3: all right, Shamrock for Ken, Shamrock was right.

- 34:27Speaker 5: Down to this day, shine where you.
- 34:32Speaker 3: We will school, all right, Welcome back in OH TB
- 34:39Speaker 3: one O four FI I, ESPN, Beton Rouge. Waiting on
- 34:43Speaker 3: that list for SEC Media Day for players. We got
- 34:48Speaker 3: the Big ten and the Big twelve over the last
- 34:51Speaker 3: couple of days. So for the Big twelve, some teams
- 34:55Speaker 3: are sending three, some are sending five.
- 34:58Speaker 5: There's one.
- 34:59Speaker 3: I think that save there's one that's sending like seven.
- 35:02Speaker 3: I think nobody is like sending the same amount. Now
- 35:05Speaker 3: for the Big ten, it's the normal three. But Colorado
- 35:10Speaker 3: is sending their kicker, sure, and also two quarterbacks? Why
- 35:16Speaker 3: not including one of them being a true freshman.
- 35:21Speaker 4: It's a great experience for that young man. What are
- 35:24Speaker 4: we doing? What we doing?
- 35:27Speaker 5: You gotta send two quarters?
- 35:28Speaker 3: I mean you got a quarterback coming over from Liberty
- 35:31Speaker 3: that fully expects to be the guy. It's not something
- 35:35Speaker 3: we're like, wait, we just wanted to go get some
- 35:37Speaker 3: experience be around some of those guys, because it's supposed
- 35:39Speaker 3: to be like an honor to be able to like
- 35:42Speaker 3: if if you were the quarterback and they sent the
- 35:44Speaker 3: true freshman quarterback with you, when you'd be like, hold up,
- 35:47Speaker 3: wait a minute, I.
- 35:48Speaker 4: Don't know's that's a good question.
- 35:52Speaker 8: So I was a fiftier senior and I didn't I
- 35:55Speaker 8: didn't even get invited.
- 35:58Speaker 3: Did you go I was getting married? You were with me?
- 36:02Speaker 3: Oh yeah during c media to day yep. It's when
- 36:06Speaker 3: you were asking am I an usher or a groomsman
- 36:08Speaker 3: in this deal?
- 36:11Speaker 8: After there's no there's no dumb questions out there, buddy, who.
- 36:17Speaker 3: I think early? Definitely definitely Glenn. Who else would have
- 36:23Speaker 3: gone if we didn't know?
- 36:29Speaker 9: Wait, I don't know what you're y'all are talking about, but.
- 36:30Speaker 5: Didn't t Bob.
- 36:33Speaker 4: Bob was a freshman, was back in eleven's Little s
- 36:37Speaker 4: Bird freshman at the time seven.
- 36:40Speaker 2: I'm gonna guess these guys that are on the team
- 36:44Speaker 2: for a while that year, Chennis Jackson.
- 36:47Speaker 5: I don't know. Maybe I'm trying to look it up,
- 36:50Speaker 5: but I just don't know that to.
- 36:52Speaker 8: Your point, it is weird that freshman considering that, like
- 36:56Speaker 8: I would, we were indoctrinated to Nick Saban having a
- 36:58Speaker 8: rule that freshman can ever talked to the media for
- 37:01Speaker 8: a full year that.
- 37:03Speaker 5: You weren't even allowed to.
- 37:04Speaker 3: Like, you could have the best game in the world,
- 37:06Speaker 3: you could be.
- 37:08Speaker 5: The reason that your team won.
- 37:09Speaker 8: I think the exception for Justin Vincent.
- 37:16Speaker 3: He but he was even different. You mentioned it yesterday
- 37:18Speaker 3: because JV. Gray shirted, so he wasn't his first year
- 37:21Speaker 3: on campus. If you don't know what gray shirted like
- 37:26Speaker 3: really means, it kind of it's a deal that Saban
- 37:28Speaker 3: used to do, and different reasons for different people. But
- 37:33Speaker 3: you know, you can kind of hide and get an
- 37:35Speaker 3: extra scholarship in there if you gray Shirt.
- 37:38Speaker 4: I mean, it's just someone just like shifting things around.
- 37:41Speaker 3: Yeah, just like he liked.
- 37:44Speaker 5: To medical people a lot as well.
- 37:46Speaker 3: It's like, hey, oh, you weren't as good as we
- 37:48Speaker 3: thought you were going to be. Your toes kind of
- 37:50Speaker 3: hurting right now. I just don't know if football is
- 37:53Speaker 3: the thing for you. But if we medical you, you
- 37:56Speaker 3: can still stay on scholarship.
- 37:57Speaker 5: You just can't really come around here anymore.
- 38:01Speaker 4: Don't let the nowhere hit you.
- 38:02Speaker 3: Yeah, you can still go eat at the Pentagon. We'll
- 38:04Speaker 3: stay you know, we'll pay for your West Campus apartment,
- 38:08Speaker 3: but you stay on scholarship. But we get that scholarship
- 38:12Speaker 3: back to be able to give it to someone.
- 38:14Speaker 4: Yeah, I think so.
- 38:15Speaker 3: The gray shirt was Yeah, Trindon Holliday gray shirt did right.
- 38:19Speaker 5: He was my class and then end up till the
- 38:21Speaker 5: next one.
- 38:24Speaker 4: Yeah, wasn't it.
- 38:25Speaker 3: If like you report the school, you still go to school, Yes, okay,
- 38:28Speaker 3: to school, just can't be around the football team. You
- 38:31Speaker 3: can't do any team activities. You gotta work out on
- 38:33Speaker 3: your own. I really don't even think you could come
- 38:36Speaker 3: in the building. But again, it was a way. So
- 38:38Speaker 3: Trenton was my signing class, and for whatever reason they
- 38:43Speaker 3: decided to gray shirt you.
- 38:44Speaker 5: Well, then you get to use that scholarship for that.
- 38:47Speaker 3: Football season on someone else, even though you're still tied
- 38:51Speaker 3: in with the school as well. If there was a
- 38:53Speaker 3: way to get an extra scholarship, that staff was.
- 38:58Speaker 5: Gonna do it.
- 38:59Speaker 4: We're gonna find it.
- 39:00Speaker 3: I remember, like I got I kind of got hurt
- 39:02Speaker 3: when I first got here, like a couple a month
- 39:05Speaker 3: or two months in, we were doing the ladder drill and.
- 39:08Speaker 5: I hit my toe on that metal.
- 39:10Speaker 3: Ladder that we used to use, and it was just
- 39:13Speaker 3: like broke my like a bone in my I think
- 39:16Speaker 3: probably my big toe, right, And so I was out
- 39:19Speaker 3: there hobbing on a little bit.
- 39:20Speaker 5: I was just trying to figure it out.
- 39:21Speaker 3: I remember saving being like, hey, you can't get this
- 39:23Speaker 3: deal figured out, like in the next two weeks, like
- 39:25Speaker 3: we might have to gray shirt you.
- 39:27Speaker 5: I'm like, shoot it up, do whatever you gotta do.
- 39:30Speaker 5: I don't know, I am not about to.
- 39:31Speaker 8: Go I haven't thought about those metal ladders in a
- 39:34Speaker 8: long time. Yeah, we used to bust out those metal
- 39:37Speaker 8: and you're running on them with cleats on back in
- 39:40Speaker 8: the day.
- 39:41Speaker 4: You had different cleats, so you had some cleats that
- 39:42Speaker 4: were pretty.
- 39:43Speaker 8: Slick, and if you hit one of those, man like
- 39:46Speaker 8: usually like a speed ladder. If everybody you know, I'm
- 39:49Speaker 8: just assuming, like most listeners know what it is. It's
- 39:51Speaker 8: like and now now you just you like a rope ladder,
- 39:54Speaker 8: little squares, it's like a quick foot drill, foot accuracy,
- 39:57Speaker 8: foot speed, whatever. But these were metal and if you
- 40:01Speaker 8: hit the side of him, your your foot was coming
- 40:04Speaker 8: out from under you. You were stubbing a tail, you're
- 40:06Speaker 8: breaking a tail, you were slipping with a cleat on it.
- 40:10Speaker 8: But you know, just all to make as better football players,
- 40:12Speaker 8: really mentally tough.
- 40:16Speaker 3: I'll never forget the day, and we tell the story often.
- 40:19Speaker 3: But when it was hotter than hot en baton Rouge,
- 40:21Speaker 3: like it often is in the summertime, you could see
- 40:24Speaker 3: the heat rising if you're on the ground, so we're stretching,
- 40:27Speaker 3: we're on the ground, I mean, just miserably hot. And
- 40:32Speaker 3: when Saban's walking up and you had the oil refinery
- 40:37Speaker 3: in the background.
- 40:38Speaker 4: That was my first experience a.
- 40:42Speaker 5: Fire.
- 40:43Speaker 3: The flames going over coach Saban's head as he walks
- 40:45Speaker 3: towards you to whisper sweet nothing's to you.
- 40:48Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 40:48Speaker 8: It was my first training camp and I was laying
- 40:50Speaker 8: on the ground stretching, like probably second week ald training camp.
- 40:53Speaker 8: Everyone's miserable. We had just taken the prison buses over,
- 40:57Speaker 8: sitting there on the ground stretching.
- 40:58Speaker 4: I don't know what it was.
- 40:59Speaker 8: It was, you know, stretching your quads, hamstrings, whatever it was.
- 41:03Speaker 8: I'll look up and yeah, Savings just stretting towards us,
- 41:06Speaker 8: and the you know how it gets hot. It's just wavy,
- 41:09Speaker 8: just waving, and I see Saving come walking through the waves,
- 41:13Speaker 8: and that oil refinery back there is blowing fire like
- 41:18Speaker 8: right over his.
- 41:19Speaker 4: Head, and I'm like, oh god, this is the devil.
- 41:22Speaker 4: This is him. I don't think that anymore, but that
- 41:29Speaker 4: at that moment, on that yep, because you are in hell.
- 41:33Speaker 4: So if there's a hell, there's a devil.
- 41:35Speaker 3: And on that note, we'll take our last break of
- 41:38Speaker 3: our number one deer Alandra coming up in our number
- 41:42Speaker 3: two Alandra.
- 41:43Speaker 5: I think we should do it at eight.
- 41:44Speaker 9: Am, just ride out the gates. There's like a couple
- 41:49Speaker 9: of questions, well, would you okay.
- 41:52Speaker 4: Can we confirm is it dear Landra or is it
- 41:54Speaker 4: Delandra or.
- 41:55Speaker 6: Which one do we we did do the music yesterday.
- 42:01Speaker 8: You play because Jays I don't know this, but Jake
- 42:03Speaker 8: and I have really good singing, really really good.
- 42:05Speaker 5: Shocked.
- 42:07Speaker 9: I was shocked by how good it was.
- 42:11Speaker 8: Delandre one of our generation, shout us out. I think
- 42:13Speaker 8: it's gotta be dear Delandrix and.
- 42:15Speaker 3: Delila, That's what I'm saying. Okay with it. Get your
- 42:19Speaker 3: questions in. We could look if you don't get them
- 42:21Speaker 3: in and we can move it. We can move it
- 42:22Speaker 3: to eight thirty, just depending on you.
- 42:24Speaker 4: Oh and don't like like dumb questions, Okay, make them good.
- 42:29Speaker 5: If you're trying to get real advice from Delandra.
- 42:31Speaker 9: I mean I give good advice.
- 42:33Speaker 5: Like for real fun I know, for real, for real.
- 42:34Speaker 5: That's why. That's why it's a segment.
- 42:36Speaker 3: Also, would you rather we've got coming up an hour two,
