- 0:02Speaker 1: Wake your ass up, fool.
- 0:04Speaker 2: John Jay and Richie.
- 0:05Speaker 3: Go!
- 0:06Speaker 4: What's crack-a-lacking?
- 0:07Speaker 5: This is the big boss dog, Snoopy Deagle Double Jizzle. Bang, boom,
- 0:11Speaker 5: what you gonna do? We're not talking about Ren 10-10.
- 0:14Speaker 5: We're not talking about Lashley.
- 0:16Speaker 6: It's the one and only dog, y'all.
- 0:17Speaker 5: The classy, sassy, big Snoopy Deagle Double Jizzle. In your
- 0:20Speaker 5: face to me and in the place to be. And
- 0:22Speaker 5: you're listening to John Jay and Rich. Wake your ass up.
- 0:25Speaker 5: It's Friday.
- 0:26Speaker 7: Yeah! Happy Friday from John Jay and Rich.
- 0:33Speaker 5: Would you want to know?
- 0:34Speaker 8: I'm going to ask you guys some questions and think
- 0:37Speaker 8: about whether you would want to know the answers to
- 0:40Speaker 8: these questions.
- 0:41Speaker 5: Okay? Kyle, would you want to know the date you're
- 0:46Speaker 5: going to die?
- 0:47Speaker 9: I go back and forth on this. Sometimes I say yes.
- 0:52Speaker 9: Sometimes I think no. I'm going to go with no.
- 0:56Speaker 1: No?
- 0:57Speaker 9: I do not want to know.
- 0:58Speaker 5: What about you, Rich? Would you want to know the
- 0:59Speaker 5: date you're going to die? I do not want to
- 1:00Speaker 5: know the date I'm going to die.
- 1:02Speaker 10: Peyton?
- 1:02Speaker 7: Definitely not.
- 1:04Speaker 5: Well, I would.
- 1:06Speaker 8: And as a matter of fact, a long time ago,
- 1:08Speaker 8: I was talking to a psychic. One of the first
- 1:10Speaker 8: times I've ever talked to a psychic. And I asked
- 1:13Speaker 8: the psychic when I was going to die. And they said,
- 1:16Speaker 8: and this is a very big deal for me, this
- 1:18Speaker 8: is why I'm bringing it up. They said that I
- 1:20Speaker 8: was going to die before my birthday, 2026.
- 1:25Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:29Speaker 1: That's today.
- 1:29Speaker 5: That's today.
- 1:30Speaker 11: That's today.
- 1:32Speaker 12: Oh, no.
- 1:32Speaker 5: I'm alive.
- 1:33Speaker 9: Wait, what time were you born?
- 1:35Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 1:36Speaker 7: Because if you were born at night, you really only
- 1:38Speaker 7: might have 12 more hours.
- 1:39Speaker 8: I have until midnight tonight, the way I was looking
- 1:41Speaker 8: at it. And when September 4th is over, then I
- 1:43Speaker 8: know I made it. But I have lived with that
- 1:46Speaker 8: for the longest time.
- 1:47Speaker 5: In fact, last year, I said when I, when I,
- 1:50Speaker 5: when I, my birthday, I said when it turned 2026,
- 1:52Speaker 5: I brought it up so many times and my sister said,
- 1:55Speaker 5: stop bringing this up. You're going to put it out there.
- 1:57Speaker 9: Yes, that's true.
- 1:59Speaker 5: But I've been literally obsessed with it. So the thing was,
- 2:01Speaker 5: would you want to know the date you're going to die?
- 2:02Speaker 5: You guys said no. I said yes. So hopefully the
- 2:05Speaker 5: psychic is terrible.
- 2:06Speaker 9: Okay, here's what I'm like. You're looking at this all wrong.
- 2:08Speaker 13: That was, at the time, what day you would die
- 2:12Speaker 13: if you stayed on the trajectory you were on. However,
- 2:15Speaker 13: now you've done about 20,000 different life-changing longevity tricks and
- 2:22Speaker 13: hacks in your life.
- 2:22Speaker 9: And some of them work.
- 2:23Speaker 5: Well, here's the thing. I actually had a full-body MRI
- 2:25Speaker 5: thanks to Simon Med not that long ago. Went over
- 2:27Speaker 5: the results again with my doctor a couple days ago,
- 2:30Speaker 5: and I'm the healthiest I've ever been. Doesn't mean I'm
- 2:32Speaker 5: not going to get hit by a bus when I
- 2:33Speaker 5: walk out of here.
- 2:34Speaker 9: Stop saying that.
- 2:35Speaker 14: I know.
- 2:35Speaker 5: That's what I'm saying, you guys. So it'll be interesting
- 2:37Speaker 5: to see if I make it past this weekend. So anyway,
- 2:40Speaker 5: a long time ago, I interviewed two psychics, and one
- 2:43Speaker 5: of them said I was going to die before 2026,
- 2:45Speaker 5: my birthday. I have, not just today, so we'll see
- 2:48Speaker 5: what happens. Hopefully, she's a very bad psychic.
- 2:51Speaker 7: Okay.
- 2:51Speaker 5: Jill the psychic. Jill.
- 2:52Speaker 4: Call that Jill back later today or tomorrow and just go, ha!
- 2:56Speaker 8: I tried to track her down about six, seven months
- 2:58Speaker 8: ago to see if she was still doing it, so
- 3:00Speaker 8: I couldn't find her. But anyway, so now would you
- 3:02Speaker 8: want to know how you're going to die? I'm assuming
- 3:04Speaker 8: you wouldn't.
- 3:04Speaker 4: No.
- 3:05Speaker 10: I would.
- 3:06Speaker 15: Yeah, no.
- 3:07Speaker 7: Well, actually, maybe because if it's like, you're definitely going
- 3:09Speaker 7: to die in a plane crash, I probably wouldn't go
- 3:11Speaker 7: on an airplane anymore.
- 3:12Speaker 8: Okay, so this is the whole thing about would you
- 3:14Speaker 8: want to know questions about yourself? Would you want to
- 3:17Speaker 8: know who would show up to your funeral? Yes.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Nah.
- 3:21Speaker 5: Yes.
- 3:22Speaker 7: And I'm going to have a list for my family
- 3:23Speaker 7: and friends on who's not allowed to come.
- 3:25Speaker 9: I know who will be there and anyone else is
- 3:27Speaker 9: an extra bonus.
- 3:28Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 3:28Speaker 4: And I want to know who's going to be the
- 3:29Speaker 4: saddest too, because then I will like them now more.
- 3:32Speaker 5: Would you want to know who secretly hates you?
- 3:36Speaker 7: Oh no. Yes.
- 3:37Speaker 14: No.
- 3:37Speaker 5: Yes. Definitely not.
- 3:38Speaker 9: Let me get these ops.
- 3:40Speaker 6: Out of here.
- 3:41Speaker 5: My answer to that is I don't care. I don't care.
- 3:43Speaker 5: I don't want to know. Would you want to know
- 3:45Speaker 5: what is said about you when you leave the room?
- 3:47Speaker 15: Yes.
- 3:49Speaker 7: I don't know. Yes.
- 3:50Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 3:51Speaker 7: I'm too sensitive for that.
- 3:53Speaker 8: Would you want to know which of your friends secretly
- 3:56Speaker 8: thinks they're better than you?
- 3:59Speaker 16: Yes.
- 3:59Speaker 7: Yeah, I would want to know because like, yeah, I
- 4:03Speaker 7: would want to know.
- 4:04Speaker 4: Because you're going to have a point where you can
- 4:05Speaker 4: put them in their place at some point.
- 4:06Speaker 5: That'll be fun. I think all my friends are better
- 4:08Speaker 5: than me. Would you want to know what your coworkers
- 4:11Speaker 5: actually think about you? Yeah.
- 4:18Speaker 10: Why not?
- 4:19Speaker 4: In this room, I'm okay with it. I might want
- 4:21Speaker 4: to go outside of this room and find out.
- 4:22Speaker 5: Why do you say that, Kyle?
- 4:24Speaker 9: Because I got to be here every day. I'm just
- 4:26Speaker 9: going to pretend we're all friends.
- 4:29Speaker 5: Uh, would you want to know every lie your partner
- 4:32Speaker 5: has ever told you?
- 4:33Speaker 7: No, some things you can take to the grave. Some
- 4:36Speaker 7: things I just don't want to know.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:38Speaker 9: No, thanks.
- 4:38Speaker 14: I'm good.
- 4:39Speaker 5: That's funny. Cause I think about my wife. I don't
- 4:41Speaker 5: think she's ever lied to me. I don't think, but
- 4:43Speaker 5: what do I know?
- 4:44Speaker 10: Right.
- 4:44Speaker 5: What did I go?
- 4:45Speaker 10: What the hell?
- 4:46Speaker 5: She was a hooker.
- 4:47Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 4:47Speaker 5: I didn't want to know, but I don't think there is.
- 4:50Speaker 5: If I had, if I could only pick one of these,
- 4:52Speaker 5: that's not what I would pick.
- 4:53Speaker 9: Which one would you pick?
- 4:54Speaker 5: When I, when I'm going to die and how I'm
- 4:56Speaker 5: going to die. That's what I'd want to know.
- 4:58Speaker 12: Okay.
- 4:58Speaker 13: This is kind of morbid, but I'm only asking this
- 5:00Speaker 13: because I know like, this is something that you would
- 5:03Speaker 13: ask me if I was saying, if I had the
- 5:05Speaker 13: same news dawning on us, are we missing an opportunity
- 5:08Speaker 13: by not like interviewing about you about death?
- 5:10Speaker 9: Just in case me.
- 5:11Speaker 13: Oh yeah.
- 5:12Speaker 5: Like you have a clips of me in case I do.
- 5:14Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 5:14Speaker 5: What do you want to ask me in case?
- 5:16Speaker 9: So like, like, let's say I leave here.
- 5:18Speaker 5: And I get hit by a truck or not want
- 5:21Speaker 5: to have an airplane crashes in my room.
- 5:23Speaker 9: I want that to happen.
- 5:24Speaker 17: Right.
- 5:24Speaker 5: Right. I got a good first one for you.
- 5:26Speaker 12: Okay.
- 5:26Speaker 5: This one. John Jay, what do you want your legacy
- 5:29Speaker 5: to be? That's too complicated an answer. I don't know
- 5:31Speaker 5: what that means. My kids. What were you going to
- 5:33Speaker 5: ask me? This is a minute to interrupt. Pass.
- 5:36Speaker 13: No.
- 5:36Speaker 9: I said, how do you want to be remembered?
- 5:43Speaker 5: What a great montage.
- 5:44Speaker 9: You guys, we just said, we asked you.
- 5:47Speaker 5: I think I'd want to be remembered as a great
- 5:49Speaker 5: dad and middle-of-the-road husband. Great dad.
- 5:54Speaker 4: Okay, let's get you something you will do. In your life,
- 5:57Speaker 4: what has made you laugh the hardest?
- 6:01Speaker 8: Thank you, man.
- 6:02Speaker 5: This is not where I was expecting this to go.
- 6:03Speaker 5: I hope I live because it would be a terrible montage. Oh, no.
- 6:06Speaker 4: Psychic's probably right.
- 6:07Speaker 5: You're a goner.
- 6:08Speaker 9: Oh, my gosh.
- 6:09Speaker 5: Let's come up with creative ways I'm going to die
- 6:10Speaker 5: before Monday.
- 6:11Speaker 10: Oh, my gosh.
- 6:12Speaker 5: Actually, not before.
- 6:12Speaker 8: I mean, like, I have probably, what is it? I
- 6:15Speaker 8: probably have 15 hours left.
- 6:17Speaker 5: No.
- 6:18Speaker 1: No, no.
- 6:18Speaker 5: I mean, before I'm free. The curse is lifted.
- 6:21Speaker 12: Okay.
- 6:22Speaker 5: Before it becomes September 5th and I'm still alive. then
- 6:26Speaker 5: I'm free.
- 6:27Speaker 9: I feel like then we should throw a big party.
- 6:29Speaker 5: You're alive!
- 6:32Speaker 7: Yeah, you would play, what's that song? The stain of life.
- 6:36Speaker 8: And then a freaking 747 crashes into the fourth floor
- 6:40Speaker 8: of iHeart right now.
- 6:41Speaker 5: And we're all dead. I have some more.
- 6:44Speaker 8: So would you want to know if your partner has
- 6:47Speaker 8: ever been attracted to one.
- 6:48Speaker 5: Of your friends?
- 6:51Speaker 7: That definitely is not even a thing. So I guess
- 6:54Speaker 7: I would want to know.
- 6:55Speaker 5: What do you mean that's not a thing?
- 6:56Speaker 7: Like, there's no way that Kadeem thinks my friends are cute.
- 6:59Speaker 13: I feel like I have really pretty friends, so I
- 7:01Speaker 13: guarantee you Scott's attracted to at least.
- 7:03Speaker 9: One of them, and I don't want to know.
- 7:04Speaker 4: That's funny.
- 7:04Speaker 7: I'm like, none of my friends are Kadeem's type at all.
- 7:07Speaker 5: My wife has, like, one hot friend, and I just
- 7:10Speaker 5: saw her recently. She's let herself go a little bit.
- 7:13Speaker 5: In fact, I know you're talking about her. Oh, my gosh.
- 7:16Speaker 13: You guys are terrible.
- 7:20Speaker 5: You're terrible.
- 7:22Speaker 4: I haven't seen her lately, but You know, she was great.
- 7:25Speaker 5: And that's probably who's going to kill me, Blake. Blake's
- 7:27Speaker 5: going to kill me tonight. That's how I die.
- 7:31Speaker 9: Oh, my gosh.
- 7:33Speaker 5: At 11.59 tonight. Boom. Anyway, just a quick little round
- 7:38Speaker 5: of would you want to know.
- 7:42Speaker 18: But Ramona, start your day with John Jay and Rich.
- 7:44Speaker 9: I wake up with my favorite artist. Hey, this is
- 7:46Speaker 9: Sabrina Carpenter.
- 7:47Speaker 15: What's up, guys?
- 7:47Speaker 5: This is Post Malone.
- 7:48Speaker 9: It's Benson Boone, and you're waking up with John Jay
- 7:50Speaker 9: and Rich.
- 7:51Speaker 5: Real quick, I was telling you guys a story that
- 7:53Speaker 5: 30 years ago, when I was doing a radio show,
- 7:56Speaker 5: I had two sidekicks on the show, Victor and Jill.
- 7:58Speaker 5: And I believe it was Jill told me that I
- 8:00Speaker 5: was going to die before my birthday, 2026. And Victor
- 8:05Speaker 5: was a partner and I was able to track down Victor. Victor,
- 8:08Speaker 5: good morning.
- 8:09Speaker 10: Good morning.
- 8:10Speaker 5: Now, Victor, what was the last time I talked to you?
- 8:12Speaker 10: It's been 30 years.
- 8:15Speaker 7: Wait, Victor, do you remember John Jay though?
- 8:18Speaker 5: I do.
- 8:19Speaker 10: How could I forget John Jay? You can't forget the guy.
- 8:22Speaker 9: So true.
- 8:23Speaker 5: I've got the world on a string. Million dollars in
- 8:25Speaker 5: my pocket. Love you, baby.
- 8:27Speaker 15: We're here.
- 8:28Speaker 5: Brian and John Jay.
- 8:31Speaker 9: Million Dollar Morning Show.
- 8:32Speaker 5: Here we go. Q102 Cincinnati.
- 8:36Speaker 12: Love you.
- 8:36Speaker 5: Love your show.
- 8:37Speaker 7: You can be a millionaire.
- 8:39Speaker 5: Hi, it's John Jay from the Q102 Million Dollar Morning Show.
- 8:42Speaker 5: Listen Thursday mornings on Q102. Thanks, John Jay.
- 8:47Speaker 9: Just listen to Q102 for details so you can win.
- 8:50Speaker 10: On the left.
- 8:51Speaker 5: Since the last time I saw you, I've been doing
- 8:53Speaker 5: a radio show in Arizona for the last 25 years.
- 8:55Speaker 5: I don't know if you know that or not. 25, yeah.
- 8:59Speaker 10: No, I found out after you called. I thought you
- 9:02Speaker 10: went to Texas.
- 9:03Speaker 5: I did.
- 9:04Speaker 8: I went to Houston for four years, then I came
- 9:05Speaker 8: to Arizona after that. So I've been in Arizona the
- 9:07Speaker 8: whole time. And so I want to introduce you to
- 9:09Speaker 8: the members of my show. I have Rich, my partner, Kyle,
- 9:12Speaker 8: my partner, and Peyton, my partner. And all four of
- 9:14Speaker 8: us are on the radio.
- 9:15Speaker 10: Hey there. How are y'all doing?
- 9:17Speaker 14: Good.
- 9:17Speaker 4: Excellent, sir.
- 9:18Speaker 8: So I wanted to give you an update because I
- 9:19Speaker 8: don't know if you know this or not, but this
- 9:21Speaker 8: is what's very important. So you and Jill would come
- 9:24Speaker 8: on for Psychic Thursdays on my radio show in Cincinnati, right?
- 9:28Speaker 5: Of course, yeah.
- 9:29Speaker 3: Okay.
- 9:30Speaker 5: Now, is Jill still around?
- 9:31Speaker 10: She moved out of town. She's on Facebook.
- 9:37Speaker 5: She's got a.
- 9:37Speaker 10: Different last name.
- 9:38Speaker 5: Oh, okay. Because here's what I want to tell you.
- 9:40Speaker 5: This is a very big day. My birthday, many years
- 9:45Speaker 5: ago while we were doing the show on a Thursday,
- 9:48Speaker 5: you and or Jill, I was just being cocky, young kid.
- 9:52Speaker 5: And I said, when am I going to die? And
- 9:55Speaker 5: I think it was Jill said that I was going
- 9:57Speaker 5: to die before my birthday on 25th.
- 10:00Speaker 11: 2026.
- 10:00Speaker 5: Okay.
- 10:01Speaker 9: Which is now.
- 10:02Speaker 5: Which is now.
- 10:03Speaker 10: And your birthday is when?
- 10:06Speaker 5: Today's my birthday.
- 10:08Speaker 8: So I was kind of hoping that maybe I misheard that.
- 10:12Speaker 4: But do you tell Victor how you've thought about it
- 10:14Speaker 4: nearly every day since that day?
- 10:15Speaker 8: I'm hoping I misheard it. It was one of those things.
- 10:17Speaker 8: So do you, is there any vibe? Cause you're still
- 10:20Speaker 8: a psychic, right? Cause I remember you had crazy talent.
- 10:22Speaker 10: First of all, I would never tell people when they're
- 10:26Speaker 10: going to die, because that creates too much anxiety, as
- 10:29Speaker 10: it did for you just now. But no, I think
- 10:33Speaker 10: you're going to make it past that. But I think
- 10:35Speaker 10: something is going on with you that Jill might have
- 10:39Speaker 10: been picking up on. There's something really good going to happen,
- 10:45Speaker 10: I think, for you coming up. I feel like it
- 10:49Speaker 10: might be spiritual, but I see you feeling on top
- 10:52Speaker 10: of the world.
- 10:53Speaker 5: I do feel on top of the world.
- 10:54Speaker 19: Hey.
- 10:54Speaker 5: I'm on top of the world.
- 10:56Speaker 10: Hey.
- 10:57Speaker 5: Yeah, I do feel on top of the world, Victor.
- 10:59Speaker 10: Thank you. So I think it's, I feel like you're unstoppable,
- 11:04Speaker 10: quite frankly.
- 11:05Speaker 9: That's a good place to be, John Jay.
- 11:08Speaker 8: I'm trying to get our show on in Denver right now.
- 11:10Speaker 8: We're on, you know, we're on all over the United States.
- 11:11Speaker 8: That's one thing you don't know. So we're based in Phoenix,
- 11:13Speaker 8: but we're on all over the country now, Victor.
- 11:16Speaker 5: Oh, you are? Yeah. God, Victor, how do you not
- 11:18Speaker 5: check in on me?
- 11:19Speaker 8: He thought you were going to die. Why would he
- 11:21Speaker 8: check up on you? Hey, so look, I want to
- 11:23Speaker 8: ask you this because I know it's crazy. We weren't prepared,
- 11:25Speaker 8: but I would love to book you back on our
- 11:27Speaker 8: show as a psychic. Could you do psychic readings for
- 11:29Speaker 8: us like back in the old days?
- 11:30Speaker 10: I'd love it. Yeah, that would be great.
- 11:32Speaker 5: Would that be great, guys?
- 11:33Speaker 7: I would love that.
- 11:34Speaker 4: It sounds awesome.
- 11:34Speaker 10: I love it.
- 11:35Speaker 5: Victor was great. Great sense of humor.
- 11:37Speaker 10: I had so much fun with you on Q102. Oh,
- 11:39Speaker 10: my God.
- 11:40Speaker 5: Listen, Thursday mornings on Q102.
- 11:42Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 11:42Speaker 8: Okay, well, I just want to make sure and get
- 11:44Speaker 8: it clear that I'm not going to die, so thank
- 11:45Speaker 8: you for that.
- 11:46Speaker 5: Top of the world, he said.
- 11:47Speaker 8: But when you said anxiety, like, I've had this anxiety
- 11:49Speaker 8: since the last time I saw you.
- 11:53Speaker 10: That's why I don't make those kinds of predictions.
- 11:55Speaker 5: Yeah, but I'm probably the healthiest I've ever been at
- 11:58Speaker 5: this moment right now.
- 11:59Speaker 10: I also feel like the higher you set your goals,
- 12:03Speaker 10: the higher your achievements will be. When I said unstoppable,
- 12:08Speaker 10: I really felt that.
- 12:09Speaker 5: Thank you, Victor.
- 12:10Speaker 10: I think you're very ambitious, aren't you?
- 12:13Speaker 5: I feel so. I feel I am.
- 12:15Speaker 4: Was he not in Cincinnati? Were you worried about him
- 12:17Speaker 4: in Cincinnati?
- 12:19Speaker 10: I didn't worry about him. He was just a lot
- 12:21Speaker 10: of fun. Oh, my God. All the parties, all the laughs.
- 12:26Speaker 10: I'll never forget it.
- 12:27Speaker 5: Well, great.
- 12:27Speaker 8: Victor, thanks for jumping on the air with us. By
- 12:29Speaker 8: the way, if someone's listening right now, is there a
- 12:31Speaker 8: website for you?
- 12:32Speaker 10: VictorPeruta.com. VictorThePsychic.com, if you can't spell Peruta.
- 12:38Speaker 5: All right. Well, Victor, I want to plan something with
- 12:40Speaker 5: you in a week or two.
- 12:41Speaker 10: Okay, John Jay. Sounds great.
- 12:43Speaker 2: Thanks, Victor.
- 12:43Speaker 10: Looking forward to talking to you. You too.
- 12:44Speaker 5: Okay, good to meet you guys.
- 12:46Speaker 4: Bye.
- 12:47Speaker 5: How about that?
- 12:48Speaker 9: I'm not going to die.
- 12:51Speaker 4: He released you from your curse.
- 13:13Speaker 9: It's John Jay and Rich.
- 13:20Speaker 5: Every Friday, we want to get into, I knew it
- 13:23Speaker 5: was over when. We're going to do it every Friday,
- 13:25Speaker 5: even today on my birthday.
- 13:26Speaker 15: 877-937-1047.
- 13:27Speaker 5: I knew it was over when. Monica, you knew it
- 13:28Speaker 5: was over when what?
- 13:35Speaker 19: I knew it was over when I found out he
- 13:37Speaker 19: was engaged to a man previously.
- 13:39Speaker 5: Oh, but he was not engaged to the man when
- 13:42Speaker 5: he was dating you. It was just another life.
- 13:45Speaker 19: Yeah, no, just another life. But I didn't want to
- 13:49Speaker 19: be with somebody who was previously in a relationship with
- 13:55Speaker 19: a man. But I also have another one.
- 13:56Speaker 12: Okay.
- 13:56Speaker 5: If you guys are interested in the other one I have. Oh, yeah, sure.
- 13:59Speaker 5: We'll take multiples. Why not?
- 14:02Speaker 20: So I knew it was over.
- 14:03Speaker 19: When I found out he was married with more than
- 14:07Speaker 19: nine kids.
- 14:09Speaker 5: Whoa. Oh, my gosh.
- 14:10Speaker 4: A guy should bring that up when you're dating, I
- 14:12Speaker 4: feel like.
- 14:13Speaker 5: Oh, wow. That's a good one.
- 14:14Speaker 13: Yeah, that's a commitment right there. It's a tough job
- 14:17Speaker 13: to step into.
- 14:19Speaker 19: And I only found out because he had posted a
- 14:22Speaker 19: picture on Facebook with her kissing her in my jacket.
- 14:27Speaker 7: Oh, my gosh.
- 14:30Speaker 5: He was wearing your jacket?
- 14:31Speaker 19: Yeah, because I have a NFL jacket, and it was
- 14:34Speaker 19: like a man's jacket, but it was like an oversized,
- 14:37Speaker 19: you know, us ladies like our oversized hoodie. So it
- 14:40Speaker 19: was like one of those, and he borrowed it, and
- 14:43Speaker 19: he actually ended up stealing it from me.
- 14:46Speaker 7: How rude.
- 14:46Speaker 19: Yeah, it was like one of those on the field,
- 14:50Speaker 19: like NFL.
- 14:51Speaker 9: Jackets, like over $ 100.
- 14:52Speaker 19: It was like one of those.
- 14:54Speaker 5: Okay, that's great, Monica. Thank you. Rachel, I knew it
- 14:58Speaker 5: was over when what?
- 15:00Speaker 3: I knew it was over when I asked the guy
- 15:03Speaker 3: I was seeing if he ever had gotten mad before,
- 15:07Speaker 3: like really mad, because he seemed like a very patient person.
- 15:10Speaker 3: And then he laughed and bragged about how he got
- 15:14Speaker 3: so mad when his football team lost. He punched a
- 15:18Speaker 3: hole in the wall.
- 15:19Speaker 4: Yikes.
- 15:19Speaker 7: Anger problems.
- 15:21Speaker 3: And then I said, oh, was there any other time
- 15:25Speaker 3: that you've done that?
- 15:26Speaker 15: He goes, yeah.
- 15:27Speaker 3: And then he bragged again about how his mom asked
- 15:30Speaker 3: him for help to move a couch. And he didn't
- 15:33Speaker 3: want to move a couch. But then she kept asking him.
- 15:37Speaker 3: So he did finally help her move the couch. And
- 15:41Speaker 3: the couch fell and hit him in the toe. He
- 15:44Speaker 3: got mad again and punched.
- 15:45Speaker 21: The wall again.
- 15:46Speaker 7: Oh.
- 15:47Speaker 5: Okay.
- 15:48Speaker 3: And that was the last time I ever saw him.
- 15:50Speaker 4: That's a good move.
- 15:51Speaker 9: You don't want to be repairing all of your walls.
- 15:54Speaker 5: All right, Rachel. Thanks for calling in and thank you
- 15:56Speaker 5: for listening.
- 15:57Speaker 9: Okay, bye.
- 15:58Speaker 5: Good morning, Lisa.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Good morning.
- 16:01Speaker 2: I was first year in college in the dorms.
- 16:03Speaker 15: You're young.
- 16:04Speaker 2: You're having fun. You're dating somebody.
- 16:06Speaker 22: And we were in my dorm room and this guy
- 16:08Speaker 22: that I'm dating asked.
- 16:09Speaker 2: Me, like, you don't smoke pot, do you? And I
- 16:11Speaker 2: was like, well, of course. We're 18. We're in college
- 16:14Speaker 2: for the first time.
- 16:15Speaker 21: Everybody smokes pot.
- 16:15Speaker 19: He's like, no, you don't.
- 16:16Speaker 2: I was like, I have some right here and I
- 16:18Speaker 2: pulled it out of my drawer.
- 16:19Speaker 21: And the guy's face went, like, white.
- 16:22Speaker 2: And he was like, oh, my God.
- 16:25Speaker 15: And he walked out.
- 16:25Speaker 2: And I was like, what just happened?
- 16:27Speaker 11: And I was like, I went after him.
- 16:28Speaker 7: I was like, what's going on?
- 16:29Speaker 2: He's like, I can't date a drug dealer.
- 16:31Speaker 15: And I just.
- 16:32Speaker 21: Burst out laughing and thought it was the funniest thing
- 16:34Speaker 21: in the world.
- 16:35Speaker 15: And this guy was.
- 16:36Speaker 21: Super serious and, like, avoided me for the rest of
- 16:38Speaker 21: the year.
- 16:39Speaker 2: And me and my friends just.
- 16:40Speaker 21: Thought it was so ridiculous and hilarious because you're 18
- 16:44Speaker 21: in college having fun.
- 16:46Speaker 7: Who cares?
- 16:47Speaker 2: And this guy thought I was the devil.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Ah.
- 16:50Speaker 23: Oh, my gosh.
- 16:51Speaker 7: Yeah, he's like, I saw that devil's lettuce. He wanted
- 16:53Speaker 7: no part of you.
- 16:54Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 16:55Speaker 19: The moment he found out what was going down, it
- 16:57Speaker 19: was over.
- 16:58Speaker 5: Well, thanks for sharing that with us, Lisa. Are you
- 16:59Speaker 5: still the drug dealer?
- 17:00Speaker 11: Oh, yeah.
- 17:02Speaker 10: Every day.
- 17:03Speaker 16: All right.
- 17:04Speaker 5: Thanks for listening.
- 17:06Speaker 23: Have a good one.
- 17:06Speaker 10: 877-937-1047.
- 17:07Speaker 5: I knew it was over when. Ashley, I knew it
- 17:24Speaker 5: was over when what?
- 17:28Speaker 17: I knew it was over when I used my ex-boyfriend's
- 17:31Speaker 17: phone to send a video to myself, and the suggested contact,
- 17:36Speaker 17: or the most recent contact, was a different girl.
- 17:41Speaker 7: Uh-oh.
- 17:41Speaker 9: That'll do it.
- 17:42Speaker 5: That'll do it. What was the video you made that
- 17:47Speaker 5: you were going to send to yourself?
- 17:49Speaker 17: Oh, well, his brother had 3D printed a hippo, and
- 17:53Speaker 17: so my phone was dead and charging. So I was like, oh,
- 17:55Speaker 17: I'm just going to take a cute little video of
- 17:58Speaker 17: this 3D printed hippo because my brother loved hippos. It's
- 18:00Speaker 17: like one of the animals we always send pictures and
- 18:02Speaker 17: videos back and forth from. So I was like, hey,
- 18:04Speaker 17: can I use your phone real quick and send it
- 18:06Speaker 17: to myself for later? He's like, yeah, of course. And
- 18:09Speaker 17: then I went to send it myself, and I was
- 18:12Speaker 17: not there, but somebody else was.
- 18:14Speaker 7: Uh-oh.
- 18:15Speaker 5: You know what I can tell? I can tell just
- 18:17Speaker 5: by that story that you are a great human being.
- 18:19Speaker 8: There's just something happy about Ashley that her and her
- 18:22Speaker 8: brother send each other hippo pictures.
- 18:23Speaker 5: Do you know what I mean?
- 18:24Speaker 9: That's so funny, yeah.
- 18:25Speaker 5: That's such a great thing. So did you break up
- 18:28Speaker 5: with the guy?
- 18:28Speaker 17: I mean, we try and keep it happy and wholesome.
- 18:30Speaker 24: Oh, absolutely.
- 18:32Speaker 7: Good.
- 18:32Speaker 17: Because I had asked, I'm like, who is this? He's like, oh,
- 18:35Speaker 17: it's just a coworker. And then I'm like, this isn't
- 18:39Speaker 17: sitting well. I just had a gut feeling, you know?
- 18:41Speaker 17: And then I asked a little bit later. He's like, oh,
- 18:43Speaker 17: it's just a friend. Yeah, needless to say, I found
- 18:46Speaker 17: out that this was like an ex-Tinder fling and now co-worker.
- 18:50Speaker 17: And I'm like, no, absolutely not.
- 18:53Speaker 11: You get one chance.
- 18:54Speaker 17: With me, you mess it up, I'm gone.
- 18:56Speaker 7: Fair enough.
- 18:56Speaker 17: I don't have time for this.
- 18:58Speaker 5: Ashley, what city are you in?
- 19:00Speaker 17: I'm in Vancouver, Washington.
- 19:01Speaker 5: Oh, Vancouver.
- 19:02Speaker 13: Okay.
- 19:02Speaker 5: I was going to tell you because I know that
- 19:03Speaker 5: there's a hippo here that Kyle, you guys would go
- 19:05Speaker 5: see the baby. Oh, the jammies. The pygmy hippos are
- 19:08Speaker 5: so cute.
- 19:09Speaker 9: They're such a cutie little baby.
- 19:10Speaker 11: They're adorable.
- 19:12Speaker 17: My brother and I travel a lot, and anytime we
- 19:15Speaker 17: go somewhere new, we go to whatever zoo that they have.
- 19:19Speaker 17: I think we've been to literally over 50 zoos. Either views,
- 19:24Speaker 17: like sky towers or zoos.
- 19:27Speaker 21: It's amazing.
- 19:28Speaker 17: Baby hippos, baby elephants.
- 19:29Speaker 16: They're adorable.
- 19:30Speaker 5: Well, thanks for listening, Ashley. Thank you for calling in.
- 19:33Speaker 5: Have a great day.
- 19:34Speaker 14: Yeah, thank you so much.
- 19:35Speaker 21: You too.
- 19:36Speaker 18: Having trouble getting through on the phone? Text John Jay
- 19:39Speaker 18: and Rich anytime.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Send JJR.
- 19:40Speaker 5: Send your message to 96893. Time for Stacks and Hacks,
- 19:44Speaker 5: you guys. Stacks and Hacks on this September 4th. Remember
- 19:48Speaker 5: how a couple weeks ago there was a virus going
- 19:49Speaker 5: around from... there? Was it Evite? Like Kyle got on?
- 19:53Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 19:54Speaker 7: Like a scam.
- 19:55Speaker 5: Get this. Religious websites are three times more likely to
- 19:59Speaker 5: spread computer viruses than porn sites.
- 20:02Speaker 4: Well, I guess more people will open them.
- 20:04Speaker 5: Religious websites.
- 20:05Speaker 8: There was a 54% jump in ukulele sales in the
- 20:08Speaker 8: year 2013.
- 20:08Speaker 15: Why?
- 20:09Speaker 5: The National Association of Music Merchants thinks it's because people
- 20:13Speaker 5: wanted to play them in quirky YouTube videos.
- 20:16Speaker 9: Okay.
- 20:17Speaker 5: Yes, Noah?
- 20:17Speaker 4: 2013 is the year Riptide by Vance Joy came out,
- 20:21Speaker 4: which was the quintessential ukulele.
- 20:23Speaker 5: I got caught in the riptide.
- 20:25Speaker 7: Because then also, wasn't that Grace VanderWaal wanting all those, like,
- 20:28Speaker 7: America's Got.
- 20:29Speaker 5: Talent or whatever, and she was doing the ukulele? Oh,
- 20:31Speaker 5: that's what happened.
- 20:32Speaker 9: There we go.
- 20:34Speaker 16: There we go.
- 20:34Speaker 5: That's why.
- 20:35Speaker 25: Okay.
- 20:36Speaker 5: A 19-year-old student at Indiana University was arrested on Sunday
- 20:39Speaker 5: after he threatened to bomb the Applebee's on social media.
- 20:42Speaker 5: He told police he was mad because the food was
- 20:44Speaker 5: taking too long.
- 20:44Speaker 17: Oh, my gosh.
- 20:45Speaker 5: Extreme.
- 20:46Speaker 4: They're pretty quick at Applebee's, too.
- 20:48Speaker 5: Consumer Reports tested 13 electric scooters. Okay. And found the
- 20:53Speaker 5: best option is none of them. They said due to
- 20:55Speaker 5: their higher speeds and increased injury data, we no longer
- 20:59Speaker 5: recommend e-scooters like the ones we were on in Austin.
- 21:01Speaker 9: Yeah, I know. They are very dangerous.
- 21:03Speaker 5: Those things go fast.
- 21:04Speaker 4: They seem like they go faster than our eyes can.
- 21:06Speaker 4: They're very fun, though.
- 21:08Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 21:09Speaker 8: Woman says her car was driven hundreds of miles and
- 21:12Speaker 8: damaged after she dropped it off for repairs at a
- 21:14Speaker 8: Boston auto shop. She even saw her car at a
- 21:17Speaker 8: red light with a woman she didn't know behind the wheel.
- 21:19Speaker 9: Oh, that's wild.
- 21:20Speaker 5: Isn't that funny? It looks like my car. That is
- 21:23Speaker 5: my car. What if the cure is worse than the disease?
- 21:27Speaker 5: A cure for nut allergies might be poop pills made
- 21:29Speaker 5: from the feces of people without the allergy.
- 21:31Speaker 7: No, I just would rather not eat peanuts.
- 21:34Speaker 13: Ugh. I kind of feel like I know someone who
- 21:37Speaker 13: had to do.
- 21:38Speaker 9: That, but for something else.
- 21:39Speaker 4: And did it work out?
- 21:40Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 21:41Speaker 5: It worked?
- 21:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:42Speaker 13: Like she literally had to go get the poop surgically
- 21:45Speaker 13: removed and then turned it into pills and it actually
- 21:47Speaker 13: cured her GI problems.
- 21:49Speaker 5: Her own poop?
- 21:49Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 21:51Speaker 5: Oh, wow.
- 21:52Speaker 8: I wonder if this is a trick here because the
- 21:53Speaker 8: world's oldest living person turned 117 last week. The woman
- 21:57Speaker 8: said she's still experiencing many firsts, including when you think
- 22:01Speaker 8: of first, you think of like my first beer, my
- 22:03Speaker 8: first whatever. This, I wouldn't put this on the list,
- 22:06Speaker 8: but stroking a llama.
- 22:08Speaker 12: Oh.
- 22:08Speaker 5: First time, she's 117. She just stroked a llama for
- 22:11Speaker 5: the first time. You guys know Pizza Hut's changed its name?
- 22:14Speaker 17: No.
- 22:15Speaker 5: Pizza Hut's changed its name to Hut.
- 22:16Speaker 7: Yeah, I saw that. Why?
- 22:17Speaker 5: Just for football season.
- 22:19Speaker 20: Hut, hut, hut.
- 22:20Speaker 9: Oh, clever. Okay, I get it.
- 22:22Speaker 5: Hut one, hut two.
- 22:23Speaker 9: Are they the new NFL pizza?
- 22:25Speaker 5: They must be. That's food news. Oh, that's food news.
- 22:27Speaker 10: Sorry.
- 22:28Speaker 5: Sorry, that's your deal, my bad. That's okay. I love
- 22:30Speaker 5: food news.
- 22:30Speaker 8: Do you know that it's been more than 20 years,
- 22:33Speaker 8: two decades, since a human has beaten a computer in chess?
- 22:37Speaker 5: Are you kidding? Yeah, that's just... The end is near.
- 22:39Speaker 5: I know.
- 22:40Speaker 4: Flash to Terminator. It's time.
- 22:42Speaker 7: We can never, like, outsmart the computers.
- 22:44Speaker 5: What do you got for life hacks, Rich?
- 22:46Speaker 4: All right, school is back, and I know, John Jay,
- 22:47Speaker 4: you've thought about this. Remember your sixth grade or third
- 22:50Speaker 4: grade or even college?
- 22:51Speaker 5: Eventually.
- 22:52Speaker 4: somebody's going to make you stand up in front of
- 22:55Speaker 4: the class and talk.
- 22:56Speaker 5: Worst thing ever. Worst thing ever. And I would give
- 22:59Speaker 5: myself an example of something terrible to say, really? But
- 23:01Speaker 5: that is the worst thing ever. I hate getting up
- 23:03Speaker 5: and talking in front of people.
- 23:05Speaker 4: It's what makes most students the most nervous. And they
- 23:09Speaker 4: say that it's really the first 30 seconds that you
- 23:12Speaker 4: have to worry about. Because once you start rolling... Then
- 23:14Speaker 4: you're there, but the first 30 seconds are terrifying. So
- 23:17Speaker 4: this is the hack. It's not magic. The idea is
- 23:19Speaker 4: to give yourself a brain trick that gets your brain
- 23:23Speaker 4: thinking of something besides your speech. So pinch your nose
- 23:26Speaker 4: for a few seconds. Your brain's like, oh yeah, I
- 23:29Speaker 4: just pinched my nose. Then let go. Take a slow breath.
- 23:32Speaker 4: Drop your shoulders. Start talking. You're 30 seconds in.
- 23:35Speaker 5: You're good.
- 23:36Speaker 4: So that life hack, we will put on our website.
- 23:39Speaker 4: And if you're a nervous type, before you start talking
- 23:41Speaker 4: in front of people, here's your little reset at johnjainrich.com.
- 23:51Speaker 5: You're on the air.
- 23:52Speaker 21: John Jay and Rich, I miss the butt slam.
- 23:54Speaker 5: So do we. The butt slam.
- 23:57Speaker 7: Why did we.
- 23:57Speaker 4: Stop doing the butt slams, our phone pranks? We had
- 24:00Speaker 4: so much fun doing those.
- 24:01Speaker 5: We did have fun. I don't know why we don't
- 24:03Speaker 5: do them.
- 24:03Speaker 21: It's because you needed my story.
- 24:05Speaker 5: Are you going to lead us into a butt slam?
- 24:07Speaker 24: This is John Jay and Rich.
- 24:09Speaker 4: Whoa, you got butt slam.
- 24:14Speaker 9: John Jay and Rich.
- 24:16Speaker 10: All right.
- 24:17Speaker 12: Hi, what up?
- 24:19Speaker 24: Hey.
- 24:20Speaker 12: Me llamo Escortin. I'm listening on iHeartRadio in Oklahoma on
- 24:25Speaker 12: 93.7 KRQ Tucson. Z100 Portland, Animal 47, Kiss FM Phoenix.
- 24:32Speaker 12: Thank you very much for everything you do. And I
- 24:35Speaker 12: was hoping you could bring back the butt slam phone scam.
- 24:38Speaker 14: Butt slam!
- 24:40Speaker 5: John Jay and Rich. Phone scam, butt scam, butt slam.
- 24:44Speaker 4: We're scanning butts is what we're doing.
- 24:46Speaker 5: So this is, you know, it's a fun little prank.
- 24:48Speaker 5: We're going to call somebody up, we mess with them
- 24:50Speaker 5: on the phone, we have some fun with them, and
- 24:51Speaker 5: then they get a hangout.
- 24:52Speaker 7: Butt slam!
- 24:52Speaker 5: John Jay and Rich. Okay.
- 24:57Speaker 21: I've been really excited about this. So my husband just
- 25:04Speaker 21: spent all this money putting permanent lights around our house.
- 25:09Speaker 11: Okay.
- 25:09Speaker 21: Like, like for the holidays, like the holiday lights.
- 25:11Speaker 5: Oh yeah.
- 25:12Speaker 6: The permanent.
- 25:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 25:13Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 25:13Speaker 21: He got them permanently installed.
- 25:14Speaker 1: Great.
- 25:15Speaker 22: Wonderful.
- 25:17Speaker 21: They're mostly for Christmas, but here's the kicker. He's a
- 25:20Speaker 21: huge ASU fan. So when it's not the holidays, our
- 25:26Speaker 21: house is lit up with gold and maroon lights.
- 25:29Speaker 5: Love it.
- 25:30Speaker 21: Yeah, so does he. So does he.
- 25:34Speaker 5: But here's the thing.
- 25:34Speaker 21: We already got an email from the HOA saying that
- 25:37Speaker 21: the lights might not be approved and we may have
- 25:39Speaker 21: to take them down.
- 25:40Speaker 5: Uh-huh.
- 25:41Speaker 9: That's the old HOA letter.
- 25:42Speaker 7: I got that same letter.
- 25:44Speaker 4: I got that same letter because we had a client
- 25:47Speaker 4: of ours put them up, and the day they went up,
- 25:49Speaker 4: I got a letter, and I still haven't taken them
- 25:51Speaker 4: down and haven't answered the letter.
- 25:53Speaker 21: Here's where the butt slam comes in. We barely know
- 25:55Speaker 21: our neighbors. And ever since the HOA reached out, my
- 25:59Speaker 21: husband keeps saying, I wish one of these neighbors would
- 26:02Speaker 21: say something to my face. I'd give him a piece
- 26:05Speaker 21: of my mind. But let me tell you guys, he's
- 26:07Speaker 21: a total wuss.
- 26:10Speaker 1: Yes.
- 26:10Speaker 21: Like it's so funny. So he talks so tough when
- 26:14Speaker 21: nobody's around. But if you called pretending to be our
- 26:17Speaker 21: neighbors and actually confronted him about these lights.
- 26:19Speaker 12: Yes.
- 26:20Speaker 21: He's going to panic.
- 26:21Speaker 5: Please let us do this.
- 26:22Speaker 4: Please let us do this.
- 26:23Speaker 13: Yes.
- 26:24Speaker 14: Yes.
- 26:24Speaker 21: Today he's working from home. So he's literally just sitting
- 26:27Speaker 21: at his laptop with his phone like right next to
- 26:30Speaker 21: him and he'll answer.
- 26:31Speaker 5: I totally get why he married you.
- 26:32Speaker 9: This is so funny.
- 26:33Speaker 5: I get why he married you. You're unbelievably awesome. What's
- 26:35Speaker 5: your husband's name?
- 26:37Speaker 21: I don't know if he's going to think that afterwards,
- 26:38Speaker 21: but yes, it's a risk I'm willing to take.
- 26:42Speaker 5: What's his name?
- 26:43Speaker 11: Derek.
- 26:44Speaker 5: Okay. The one they call Derek. So what do we do?
- 26:47Speaker 5: We call as neighbors? Yes.
- 26:49Speaker 4: I would like to be on the homeowners association. I
- 26:52Speaker 4: would like to be Rick Barron and I would like
- 26:54Speaker 4: to challenge him on his light display.
- 26:56Speaker 5: Do it.
- 26:57Speaker 9: Fantastic.
- 26:58Speaker 4: I'm excited about this. And John Jay, you will be
- 27:01Speaker 4: my lovely wife, Stacey Barrett. Stacey Barrett.
- 27:05Speaker 5: Uncle Kyle Payne, they're women.
- 27:07Speaker 9: It's more funny when you do it.
- 27:08Speaker 5: You guys could be our children.
- 27:10Speaker 7: Stacey Barrett.
- 27:12Speaker 5: All right. I need big words. Oh, yeah.
- 27:17Speaker 7: Pedantic.
- 27:17Speaker 5: Call him pedantic and pejorative. That's what I hear all
- 27:20Speaker 5: the time.
- 27:20Speaker 11: Pejorative.
- 27:29Speaker 5: Hello?
- 27:30Speaker 10: Hello?
- 27:30Speaker 1: Oh, hi.
- 27:31Speaker 5: Is this Derek? Yeah, this is Derek. Hey, Derek.
- 27:34Speaker 4: Rick Barron, your neighbor. Also happen to be a member
- 27:37Speaker 4: of the HOA. How are you this morning? Did I
- 27:39Speaker 4: catch you at a good time?
- 27:40Speaker 9: I mean, yeah.
- 27:41Speaker 5: What's going on?
- 27:42Speaker 4: Oh, excellent. I am your neighbor right on the other
- 27:44Speaker 4: side of the wall to you. And I guess you
- 27:47Speaker 4: must be a big ol' ASU fan. Congratulations. I saw
- 27:51Speaker 4: your new likes up there.
- 27:52Speaker 26: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 27:55Speaker 5: You an ASU alum?
- 27:56Speaker 11: Yeah, I actually am.
- 27:58Speaker 4: Big fan of Sparky, are you? My wife and I,
- 28:00Speaker 4: we're Scottsdale Community College. We are the fighting artichokes. Wouldn't
- 28:04Speaker 4: hurt you to put a little green in there for
- 28:06Speaker 4: the artichokes every now and then, huh? Oh, dear. We
- 28:10Speaker 4: are the Scottsdale artichokes. Hey, listen, we sent you a
- 28:18Speaker 4: letter here from the HOA and you did not respond
- 28:22Speaker 4: regarding the brightness and the permission to put the lights up.
- 28:25Speaker 4: I don't know if you know that that's a significant fine.
- 28:28Speaker 5: Uh, when did you, you sent a letter, you said?
- 28:30Speaker 4: Sent a letter, yes, right to your house. In fact,
- 28:31Speaker 4: I dropped it off in your mailbox. Kind of hard
- 28:33Speaker 4: to believe that you would have missed.
- 28:34Speaker 5: It, actually. In fact, since I didn't hear from.
- 28:36Speaker 4: You, I put another one in there. I'm your neighbor,
- 28:39Speaker 4: Rick Barrett.
- 28:40Speaker 2: Oh, no, no, I gotcha, I gotcha.
- 28:41Speaker 4: My wife, Stacey Barrett, is making breakfast right now. Stacey,
- 28:44Speaker 4: how's it going over there?
- 28:45Speaker 5: It's going good, baby.
- 28:46Speaker 4: I'm talking to the light guy. So interesting problem with
- 28:49Speaker 4: your lights. Now, this is embarrassing. I don't want to
- 28:51Speaker 4: embarrass my wife, but I feel like I need to
- 28:53Speaker 4: talk to you about this. So it looks like, you know,
- 28:56Speaker 4: it looks like the runway of the airport, you know,
- 29:00Speaker 4: at night. It's really, really bright. And my wife and I,
- 29:03Speaker 4: when we like to get intimate, she doesn't like any
- 29:05Speaker 4: light at all. So all I'm seeing is the lights
- 29:08Speaker 4: coming through. And my wife, Stacy, you won't get undressed
- 29:12Speaker 4: in front of the lights, will you, baby?
- 29:14Speaker 5: Oh, don't be talking about that stuff in the bedroom.
- 29:16Speaker 4: She won't get undressed in front of lights, and I
- 29:18Speaker 4: haven't been able to make love, sweet, sweet, slow, sexy
- 29:22Speaker 4: love to my wife in weeks now because of your lights.
- 29:26Speaker 4: And I would like you from, I don't know, 930
- 29:28Speaker 4: to 1030, maybe turn them down and give me about
- 29:31Speaker 4: an hour to make my move. Otherwise, I mean, that's
- 29:35Speaker 4: a pretty hefty fine there. That's a hefty fine. I'd
- 29:37Speaker 4: like to fine you.
- 29:38Speaker 5: It's a $ 3, 000 fine. I get you.
- 29:40Speaker 10: I get you.
- 29:41Speaker 11: Well, listen, so, I mean, I do turn them off.
- 29:44Speaker 10: Or they get dimmed down around 11 o'clock.
- 29:46Speaker 4: No, no, they do not because I've been trying to make–
- 29:49Speaker 4: remember last night, Stacy, when I tried to make sweet
- 29:51Speaker 4: love to you at around 11.15 and the lights were
- 29:54Speaker 4: so bright? And you were like, I am not getting
- 29:56Speaker 4: naked for you, Rick Barron.
- 29:57Speaker 5: Oh, my God, baby, stop. Just stop telling him all
- 30:00Speaker 5: our special stuff.
- 30:02Speaker 4: So what I've done here is I've found your password.
- 30:04Speaker 4: Sparky is your wireless network. I've just downloaded the Jellyfish app.
- 30:09Speaker 4: And from those hours, I've picked a nice soft amber
- 30:13Speaker 4: so that when I make love, then it's not, you know,
- 30:15Speaker 4: it's not overpowering.
- 30:16Speaker 19: Hold on, rewind for a second.
- 30:18Speaker 5: I have your wireless.
- 30:20Speaker 4: I've reprogrammed your lights. So every night from about 8.30
- 30:24Speaker 4: to 11.30, it'll be just a soft, soft amber, like
- 30:27Speaker 4: every five lights or so. And then when my artichokes play,
- 30:30Speaker 4: I've turned to green on the weekends. Let's go, Scottsdale! Fightin' artichokes!
- 30:34Speaker 4: We've got a really good field hockey team.
- 30:36Speaker 1: Whatever HOA thing you're telling me I did, I think
- 30:39Speaker 1: that's a serious violation that is probably a criminal violation.
- 30:42Speaker 5: I don't think so, and I am looking forward to
- 30:44Speaker 5: making love tonight. Mm-hmm, baby. You know, there's other things
- 30:47Speaker 5: we can do. You can do whatever you want with
- 30:50Speaker 5: your life, but you're not touching my life. You're not
- 30:53Speaker 5: doing anything with my life.
- 30:55Speaker 4: I've already done that. I've already programmed it. So you're welcome.
- 30:58Speaker 5: And then you won't.
- 30:59Speaker 15: Have to pay them. Where are you at right now?
- 31:00Speaker 5: Where are you at right now?
- 31:01Speaker 4: I'm standing on my back porch talking to you on
- 31:03Speaker 4: my cell phone. Can you see? I could wave hello
- 31:04Speaker 4: to you over the wall. I could jump over a
- 31:05Speaker 4: little bit.
- 31:06Speaker 5: No, baby.
- 31:07Speaker 7: I'm sunbathing right now.
- 31:08Speaker 5: Oh, don't look over the wall. I'm sunbathing. She's shy.
- 31:11Speaker 5: She's shy. She's sunbathing. Don't look over the wall. Don't
- 31:14Speaker 5: look at my wife.
- 31:15Speaker 15: If you want to talk about this in person, we
- 31:16Speaker 15: can do that.
- 31:17Speaker 10: We can do that right now if you want to.
- 31:18Speaker 5: Do you want to wrestle me in your front yard?
- 31:20Speaker 7: Peek-a-boo, Derek.
- 31:21Speaker 12: Peek-a-boo.
- 31:22Speaker 13: Peek-a-boo.
- 31:22Speaker 5: I'm outside right now if you want. I'm outside right
- 31:25Speaker 5: now if you want.
- 31:26Speaker 4: I will make love to my woman, and I will
- 31:28Speaker 4: come out and wrestle you in the front yard.
- 31:29Speaker 5: Is that what you want?
- 31:30Speaker 4: Whatever you want to your.
- 31:33Speaker 10: Wife.
- 31:34Speaker 21: I don't give.
- 31:35Speaker 5: A f * * *.
- 31:36Speaker 1: Oh, my God.
- 31:36Speaker 21: Good morning, sweetheart.
- 31:39Speaker 4: Oh, my God.
- 31:41Speaker 21: Did you tell them everything on your mind? Did you
- 31:47Speaker 21: let them have it?
- 31:48Speaker 8: I am literally stomping around our house, darling.
- 31:51Speaker 10: Where are you at?
- 31:52Speaker 22: Is there somebody outside?
- 31:54Speaker 15: Don't worry about that.
- 31:55Speaker 21: Don't worry about that. I'll come back with coffee.
- 31:58Speaker 15: You just got butt slammed.
- 31:59Speaker 5: Butt slammed. Whoa, you got butt slammed.
- 32:06Speaker 16: Good morning.
- 32:07Speaker 13: Good morning.
- 32:13Speaker 5: Just jokes, Derek. You're fine. You're just fine. He's having fun, yes. Okay,
- 32:19Speaker 5: so this is the radio. Okay, I got it. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 32:23Speaker 15: You're on the radio.
- 32:25Speaker 5: No, nobody knows. Nobody cares.
- 32:28Speaker 4: They're fine. I won't be making sweet love tonight. Forks up.
- 32:34Speaker 5: Thanks, brother. Thanks for jumping on with us, Janae. That
- 32:36Speaker 5: was cute. I'm glad you brought it back.
- 32:38Speaker 21: You got it, guys.
- 32:39Speaker 5: I'm going to get you for this, honey.
- 32:41Speaker 11: I'm going to get my revamp.
- 32:45Speaker 5: My butt is getting slammed tonight.
- 32:47Speaker 12: Hello.
- 32:47Speaker 26: 11 p.m., you're going to get it.
- 32:50Speaker 5: You, my friend, have just been butt slammed.
- 32:53Speaker 18: Getting nothing but a busy signal?
- 32:55Speaker 5: Text JJR.
- 32:57Speaker 18: Then the words, call me to 96893. Get your voice heard.
- 33:01Speaker 5: Kelly, good morning.
- 33:02Speaker 22: I just wanted to talk about something that really annoys
- 33:04Speaker 22: me about my husband.
- 33:05Speaker 25: Okay.
- 33:07Speaker 22: So we'll watch TV and whenever a character will just
- 33:10Speaker 22: say something weird or interesting, he'll pause it and have
- 33:14Speaker 22: to mansplain me for five minutes what that means.
- 33:18Speaker 4: Explain that. How does that?
- 33:20Speaker 5: Mansplain that, please.
- 33:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 33:23Speaker 22: Like he's just going to say, you know, like, I
- 33:26Speaker 22: don't know if the character says like this is a
- 33:28Speaker 22: character doing CPR, for example. And then he's going to
- 33:31Speaker 22: pause the show and then he's going to explain to me,
- 33:33Speaker 22: you know, where was CPR invented? You know, who invented it?
- 33:38Speaker 22: And then, you know, and I'm like, well, I that's nice.
- 33:41Speaker 22: But I already forgot what the plot was of the
- 33:42Speaker 22: show because it's been five minutes. So please let me
- 33:45Speaker 22: watch my TV.
- 33:47Speaker 9: That would be so annoying. I would die.
- 33:50Speaker 5: It's CPR, cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Oh, my God.
- 33:53Speaker 4: I would want to smack him.
- 33:56Speaker 9: Just watch the show.
- 33:57Speaker 5: All right. Thanks, Kelly. Thanks for calling in. Oh, go ahead.
- 34:00Speaker 5: You have more. Go ahead.
- 34:02Speaker 22: Yeah, and this is why we don't go to the
- 34:04Speaker 22: movie theaters. We haven't been to the movies.
- 34:06Speaker 5: In five years. Pause the movie. Pause the movie. Stop
- 34:09Speaker 5: the IMAX, please. You know, that's funny. You can't pause
- 34:11Speaker 5: the movie, but it's so funny going to the movie nowadays.
- 34:13Speaker 5: I wish I had the text on the screen of
- 34:16Speaker 5: the movie theaters.
- 34:16Speaker 9: I know, I need the captions.
- 34:17Speaker 5: It's such a bummer that you can't do that.
- 34:19Speaker 8: They should start adding that in theaters so you can
- 34:21Speaker 8: pick a theater to go to that has the captions.
- 34:22Speaker 7: I'm with you.
- 34:23Speaker 5: Because I would. Thanks for calling in, Kelly.
- 34:25Speaker 22: Well, if my husband went with you, he was probably
- 34:27Speaker 22: just to read to you what the.
- 34:29Speaker 5: So the guy got bit by a spider, and now
- 34:32Speaker 5: he's got these really good talents, and he can do
- 34:35Speaker 5: everything a spider can.
- 34:37Speaker 9: They're playing dramatic music right now.
- 34:40Speaker 5: You know, I was watching a show. I was watching
- 34:43Speaker 5: Jack Reacher on Amazon the other day, and it's so
- 34:47Speaker 5: funny sometimes when they have... the captions and let's, it, it, it,
- 34:51Speaker 5: there was all you saw on the screen with like,
- 34:53Speaker 5: it was like a, a beautiful countryside view, but you
- 34:56Speaker 5: heard bugs. It was bugs. And it says on the screen,
- 34:58Speaker 5: bugs trilling. It was like, Oh, that's what that's called.
- 35:03Speaker 1: Wow.
- 35:03Speaker 8: Or, or like if there's a certain music, it'll be
- 35:05Speaker 8: high energetic music playing. Like, Ooh, you're right. There is
- 35:09Speaker 8: high energetic music playing, but thank you, Kelly. Thanks for listening.
- 35:12Speaker 10: Thanks.
- 35:14Speaker 5: What does your spouse do wrong? You know, we're getting
- 35:16Speaker 5: into this because of Kyle's husband. Oh, we are? Because
- 35:18Speaker 5: he can't feed his dog.
- 35:19Speaker 4: Oh, he can't do anything wrong.
- 35:20Speaker 5: He cannot feed her dog. He's like a model citizen.
- 35:23Speaker 5: Because Kyle is also a high-maintenance mom.
- 35:26Speaker 9: Very true.
- 35:27Speaker 5: Bree, what does your spouse do wrong?
- 35:30Speaker 25: So my husband and I, we own a Kona ice truck,
- 35:34Speaker 25: and one of the things we have to do is
- 35:36Speaker 25: we have to keep it super clean, so we're constantly
- 35:38Speaker 25: washing the truck. And we have constantly tried washing it together,
- 35:42Speaker 25: and we have discovered that is the one thing we
- 35:45Speaker 25: cannot do together. We can work on the truck for
- 35:47Speaker 25: hours and hours, and it's 90-plus degrees. But if we're
- 35:50Speaker 25: trying to wash the truck together, it's going to be– yeah,
- 35:54Speaker 25: it's not going to work because he's raising with the hose,
- 35:57Speaker 25: and then I tell him he's washing it wrong, and
- 35:59Speaker 25: it's just– Every single time, it is a.
- 36:01Speaker 5: Fight, no matter what. What is a Kona ice truck?
- 36:06Speaker 25: So it's like Hawaiian shaved ice. It's got like a
- 36:10Speaker 25: penguin on the side of it.
- 36:11Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 36:13Speaker 4: They have them in Arizona.
- 36:14Speaker 5: I love Hawaii.
- 36:15Speaker 9: My kids are always excited when the Kona ice trucks, like,
- 36:17Speaker 9: at their sports games.
- 36:18Speaker 7: The Tiger's Blood?
- 36:20Speaker 5: Oh, the best.
- 36:21Speaker 9: Tiger's Blood's so good.
- 36:22Speaker 7: So good.
- 36:23Speaker 23: Tiger's Blood is so good.
- 36:24Speaker 25: It's fun, but we had our first, like, little spill
- 36:29Speaker 25: on the track, and I'm just like, I have Tiger's
- 36:31Speaker 25: Blood all over, and I'm like, it's a good thing
- 36:33Speaker 25: this is, like, a shaved ice track, because, like, if
- 36:34Speaker 25: I got pulled over right now and had this, like,
- 36:36Speaker 25: in the backseat of my car, it literally looks like.
- 36:38Speaker 5: There's, like, a homicide. Ha ha ha! Is there just
- 36:42Speaker 5: one Kona ice truck or are there several and you
- 36:44Speaker 5: own one?
- 36:46Speaker 25: No, we own one and it's actually started in Kentucky.
- 36:50Speaker 25: I think there's 1,700 of them across the United States.
- 36:53Speaker 21: Yeah, so look us up.
- 36:55Speaker 5: Do you do the ice with that sometimes? Like when
- 36:57Speaker 5: you're in Hawaii, you get it. They put ice cream
- 37:00Speaker 5: in it and then you put ice on top of it?
- 37:02Speaker 26: We do not.
- 37:03Speaker 5: Oh, it's my favorite. Just Kona ice. What was that?
- 37:08Speaker 5: I said just Kona ice.
- 37:09Speaker 25: Just Kona ice, yeah. Some people do the ice cream
- 37:14Speaker 25: at the bottom, but we haven't ventured into that yet.
- 37:17Speaker 5: You've got to do that. Get yourself some cookies.
- 37:19Speaker 25: Yeah, I know that's a great idea.
- 37:20Speaker 5: Put the Tillamook ice cream in there and then put
- 37:22Speaker 5: the ice on top. Let's go. Come on, Bree. I'm
- 37:24Speaker 5: helping you out. I want you guys to figure out
- 37:26Speaker 5: how to clean together. Thanks for calling in, Bree. Thank
- 37:28Speaker 5: you for listening.
- 37:29Speaker 21: All right, thanks.
- 37:31Speaker 15: Bye.
- 37:31Speaker 5: Michelle, what does your spouse do wrong?
- 37:34Speaker 15: My husband. One day I came home from work and...
- 37:39Speaker 15: He had done the dishes for me. So I was
- 37:41Speaker 15: super happy. I was like, oh, great, wonderful. And so
- 37:47Speaker 15: a little bit later, I went to go and grab
- 37:49Speaker 15: something to drink. And I grabbed the glass and I
- 37:52Speaker 15: got a whiff of something. I'm like, okay, what was
- 37:56Speaker 15: that smell? And then I was like, where's it coming from?
- 37:59Speaker 15: And I realized it was the glass I was holding.
- 38:01Speaker 15: I took a whiff. So I was like, I had
- 38:03Speaker 15: to shut my eyes and think. And then I'm like,
- 38:05Speaker 15: I asked him, I said, honey. When you wash the dishes,
- 38:09Speaker 15: what did you use? And he's like, oh, well, Pine Sol.
- 38:12Speaker 15: And I'm like, no, you don't use Pine Sol to
- 38:15Speaker 15: wash dishes. It's supposed to use dish soap. And he's like,
- 38:20Speaker 15: I didn't know that. He's like, well, I use it
- 38:22Speaker 15: to clean the floors. I'm like, I know, but that's
- 38:24Speaker 15: different from the dishes. So needless to say, I had
- 38:27Speaker 15: to get all the dishes that were in the rack,
- 38:31Speaker 15: throw them all back and rewash them with bleach. And
- 38:34Speaker 15: I thought the smell would never come out. I was like,
- 38:36Speaker 15: you're going to buy me new dishes.
- 38:37Speaker 9: You know that, right?
- 38:38Speaker 5: His heart was in the right place.
- 38:40Speaker 9: Yeah, he was trying.
- 38:41Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 38:42Speaker 13: You know you should appreciate it. But at the same time,
- 38:44Speaker 13: it's like, oh, my gosh.
- 38:46Speaker 1: I know.
- 38:47Speaker 15: So even to this day, that was like probably five
- 38:49Speaker 15: years ago. And if I come home and he's like, oh,
- 38:52Speaker 15: I did the dishes. I'm like, OK, with soap, right?
- 38:54Speaker 15: And he's like, oh, yeah, I don't let him live
- 38:57Speaker 15: it down.
- 38:57Speaker 5: That's great, Michelle. Thanks for sharing that with us. Have
- 39:00Speaker 5: a great day.
- 39:00Speaker 23: Yeah, not a problem.
- 39:02Speaker 15: You too. Bye bye.
- 39:03Speaker 5: Kelly, good morning. What did your spouse do wrong?
- 39:06Speaker 16: Okay, it's not my spouse. It's my parents.
- 39:09Speaker 5: Okay.
- 39:09Speaker 16: My mom micromanages everything my dad does, so he volunteers
- 39:13Speaker 16: to dust, and she'll be like, you're doing it wrong.
- 39:15Speaker 16: And I'm like, Mom, how is he dusting wrong? He's
- 39:18Speaker 16: not throwing dirt back on the furniture.
- 39:20Speaker 5: Poor dad.
- 39:22Speaker 16: It's like, leave him alone.
- 39:23Speaker 15: I know.
- 39:23Speaker 16: It's like dusting is literally the worst household job, and
- 39:27Speaker 16: he'll volunteer to do it, and she just stands there
- 39:29Speaker 16: and crumples.
- 39:32Speaker 1: Him.
- 39:33Speaker 4: But you must love her, because he's still there. He's
- 39:35Speaker 4: still doing it.
- 39:36Speaker 16: Yeah, they've been married, I think, 52 years.
- 39:40Speaker 7: Wow.
- 39:40Speaker 5: That's awesome. That's awesome. Well, thank you for listening, Kelly.
- 39:42Speaker 6: All right, take care.
- 39:45Speaker 5: Leah, what does your spouse do wrong?
- 39:48Speaker 14: Okay, so you guys, my husband is an absolute walking
- 39:53Speaker 14: spoiler alert. He can't help it, but he cannot tell
- 39:57Speaker 14: a story without completely ruining the ending.
- 40:00Speaker 2: We'll be at dinner.
- 40:01Speaker 14: With friends and someone will, let's say, mention a movie
- 40:06Speaker 14: that they haven't seen yet. And he'll just go and
- 40:09Speaker 14: be like, oh, that's the one where the dad dies.
- 40:12Speaker 19: And I'm like, why would you do that?
- 40:16Speaker 11: Do that.
- 40:17Speaker 19: Why would you say that?
- 40:19Speaker 14: And he generally doesn't understand why people get mad.
- 40:23Speaker 11: Like he goes, sorry, it just came out of my mouth.
- 40:26Speaker 14: Like I've had so many shows, movies, like you name it,
- 40:31Speaker 14: ruined for me. And I told him he needs to
- 40:34Speaker 14: start introducing himself with a spoiler warning before he meets, like,
- 40:38Speaker 14: you know, before he starts talking about anything really.
- 40:41Speaker 5: I think if it's current TV shows, maybe, you know,
- 40:43Speaker 5: but if he goes, yeah, you know that show where
- 40:45Speaker 5: the guy sees dead people and he's dead the whole time?
- 40:47Speaker 8: The Sixth Sense? Like, that came out in 98. It's
- 40:50Speaker 8: like people upset when we talked about the Odyssey, that
- 40:53Speaker 8: we ruined it. Like, that was a book that's 10,000
- 40:55Speaker 8: years old.
- 40:56Speaker 5: Like, it's not our fault. You know? So anyway, I'm
- 41:01Speaker 5: kind of with your husband on that.
- 41:02Speaker 4: I love that his nickname is Spoiler Alert, though.
- 41:05Speaker 9: That's so funny.
- 41:06Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 41:06Speaker 5: Well, thanks for sharing that. That is a good one.
- 41:08Speaker 8: Your husband ruins movies and TV shows.
- 41:10Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 41:11Speaker 27: Hey, Stephanie, good morning.
- 41:23Speaker 5: You're on the air. What's going on?
- 41:24Speaker 23: Hi, how are you guys?
- 41:25Speaker 1: Great.
- 41:26Speaker 5: What's up?
- 41:27Speaker 23: I'm just driving to work and I listen to you
- 41:29Speaker 23: guys on the podcast and I'm super duper far behind.
- 41:33Speaker 15: Um, so I was listening, there.
- 41:35Speaker 23: Was a girl that called in, her name was Devaney, Devaney,
- 41:37Speaker 23: mine's Devaney.
- 41:39Speaker 3: I thought that was super cool.
- 41:40Speaker 23: And then the next one, um, I think you guys
- 41:42Speaker 23: are talking about what you don't pay for anymore because
- 41:45Speaker 23: it's too expensive. And my mom called, her name's Audie.
- 41:48Speaker 23: And I was like, oh my God, what the heck?
- 41:52Speaker 2: I just thought it was super.
- 41:53Speaker 23: Cool that I'm so far behind and you're my mom.
- 41:56Speaker 4: That's so funny.
- 41:58Speaker 9: Your mom never mentioned to you she was, like, on
- 42:00Speaker 9: with us?
- 42:01Speaker 14: No, didn't call.
- 42:02Speaker 23: And I listen to you guys all the time.
- 42:04Speaker 14: I've been listening to you guys since.
- 42:05Speaker 23: I was probably four.
- 42:07Speaker 4: Remind us of what your mom decided she wasn't going
- 42:09Speaker 4: to pay for anymore because it was too expensive.
- 42:11Speaker 7: It was cable.
- 42:12Speaker 23: She has like three streaming ones now and they think
- 42:16Speaker 23: it's the coolest thing ever.
- 42:18Speaker 5: You know what they should do? They should just bundle
- 42:20Speaker 5: all these ads together. Just one big, one.
- 42:24Speaker 4: Big F tornado and they should call it cable.
- 42:30Speaker 5: So I wonder if your mom listens live or listens
- 42:32Speaker 5: to the podcast or do you tell her that you
- 42:34Speaker 5: were on with us or just wait for her to
- 42:36Speaker 5: see if she hears you call in?
- 42:37Speaker 23: I'll have to have her listen now, but I think
- 42:40Speaker 23: because I live in Colorado, and they live in Cheyenne, Wyoming,
- 42:43Speaker 23: and we get you guys there. So I know she
- 42:46Speaker 23: listens live, but I've been listening to you guys on
- 42:48Speaker 23: the podcast for a while.
- 42:50Speaker 5: Well, that's great, Devaney. Thanks for calling in, and thanks
- 42:52Speaker 5: for listening.
- 42:52Speaker 12: Hi, Mom.
- 42:54Speaker 13: Surprise.
- 42:55Speaker 6: Surprise.
- 42:56Speaker 12: Surprise.
- 42:58Speaker 5: Bye, Devaney.
- 42:59Speaker 7: Thank you, guys.
- 43:00Speaker 5: You guys are the best. In the city Remember you
- 43:03Speaker 5: used to drive a Yukon Alyssa.
- 43:08Speaker 24: Yes.
- 43:09Speaker 5: Good morning.
- 43:10Speaker 17: Hi, good morning.
- 43:11Speaker 5: What are you doing right now?
- 43:12Speaker 19: I'm actually home for once, just with the baby.
- 43:15Speaker 5: Okay, good. Well, you are contested for a minute to
- 43:18Speaker 5: win it. You have a chance at $ 1, 000 of Pat
- 43:20Speaker 5: Hickey's money. Okay.
- 43:22Speaker 18: John Jay and Rich have $ 1, 000 cash for you from
- 43:25Speaker 18: Peoria Ford right now.
- 43:27Speaker 12: Minute to win it.
- 43:28Speaker 4: Okay, Alyssa, 60 seconds on the clock. You are going
- 43:31Speaker 4: to rock this. Get all of them right and you
- 43:34Speaker 4: win $ 1, 000. Here we go. What K-pop band has the
- 43:37Speaker 4: fastest sellout of a world tour in history?
- 43:44Speaker 25: Man, I don't really know.
- 43:46Speaker 13: BTS.
- 43:46Speaker 3: I'm going to say BTS.
- 43:47Speaker 4: What annual music festival takes place in Indio, California?
- 43:52Speaker 11: Coachella.
- 43:54Speaker 4: What human organ can regenerate itself to nearly its original
- 43:58Speaker 4: size after part of it is removed?
- 44:01Speaker 2: The liver.
- 44:03Speaker 4: Which sport uses a puck? What superhero is known as
- 44:08Speaker 4: the Man of Steel?
- 44:11Speaker 1: Man.
- 44:12Speaker 4: Bangkok is a city in what country?
- 44:16Speaker 17: It's in.
- 44:19Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh.
- 44:20Speaker 1: Oh, my gosh.
- 44:23Speaker 20: When I saw the Hangover movie, they were in Thailand?
- 44:29Speaker 4: The Odyssey is a famous epic written by whom?
- 44:39Speaker 17: I don't want to get one.
- 44:41Speaker 9: Oh, Alyssa, you ran out of time.
- 44:45Speaker 5: You were rolling, too.
- 44:47Speaker 7: Odysseus.
- 44:48Speaker 4: No, no, it's that. Odysseus is in the Odyssey. Homer
- 44:51Speaker 4: wrote the Odyssey.
- 44:53Speaker 24: Oh, Homer.
- 44:54Speaker 9: Yeah, I would have not gotten that.
- 44:56Speaker 7: I would not.
- 44:58Speaker 11: Have gotten that either.
- 45:00Speaker 2: You got me on that one.
- 45:01Speaker 5: You did really, really good.
- 45:02Speaker 4: I'm impressed, especially with a new baby. You're probably getting
- 45:04Speaker 4: no sleep, so I'm impressed.
- 45:06Speaker 5: I'll give you this.
- 45:06Speaker 4: Sitting ovation.
- 45:09Speaker 5: Alyssa, thanks for listening. Thank you for playing. John Jay
- 45:18Speaker 5: and Rich. So I want to give you guys a
- 45:20Speaker 5: little behind the scenes and some inside information.
- 45:22Speaker 12: All right.
- 45:23Speaker 5: The other day, Kyle was semi-bragging that you were bragging
- 45:29Speaker 5: about your phone.
- 45:30Speaker 9: I wasn't semi-bragging. I was like full on bragging.
- 45:33Speaker 5: That your phone, which is a, what is it?
- 45:34Speaker 9: It's a Samsung.
- 45:35Speaker 5: The Samsung's taken over Apple.
- 45:37Speaker 12: Yes.
- 45:37Speaker 25: Because it is.
- 45:39Speaker 9: I stand by that.
- 45:40Speaker 5: And you were like, and now you guys stopped complaining
- 45:41Speaker 5: about my green text. And I was like, I haven't
- 45:43Speaker 5: complained about your phone. But then, then. Ms. Samsung here
- 45:46Speaker 5: later that day is like God's hand, karma.
- 45:49Speaker 13: It literally was my karma because I was reading to
- 45:52Speaker 13: you how like Apple is using all of Samsung's technology.
- 45:55Speaker 13: Like if they unveil, I think it's this week that
- 45:57Speaker 13: they could be unveiling a foldable phone. Like we're already
- 46:00Speaker 13: on like that 10th version of that with Samsung. So
- 46:02Speaker 13: I'm like a big fan until yesterday, actually two days ago,
- 46:07Speaker 13: my group chats started like giving me this message saying,
- 46:11Speaker 13: this group chat's unavailable for you right now.
- 46:12Speaker 9: And I'm like, what are you talking about? So- Do
- 46:15Speaker 9: you remember when.
- 46:16Speaker 13: It was really difficult to text between iPhone and Samsung
- 46:20Speaker 13: pictures and videos?
- 46:21Speaker 9: It was a whole thing.
- 46:22Speaker 13: And then they came out with RCS messaging. It was
- 46:24Speaker 13: the new thing that made that possible and amazing. Well,
- 46:27Speaker 13: apparently there's something wrong with my RCS messaging and it
- 46:31Speaker 13: literally shut my phone down. So I spent, I kid
- 46:34Speaker 13: you not, over two hours on the phone with customer
- 46:39Speaker 13: care trying trying to figure out what the problem is
- 46:42Speaker 13: restarting my phone clearing the cash getting the messages sending
- 46:45Speaker 13: a new e-sim all the things like a million things
- 46:47Speaker 13: all the things the third person that i was talking
- 46:50Speaker 13: to this is an hour and a half in and
- 46:52Speaker 13: i'm like getting to the point where i'm like okay
- 46:54Speaker 13: this is very frustrating she's like you just.
- 46:55Speaker 5: Chill on your couch doing this are you doing things.
- 46:58Speaker 13: No, I'm like personalizing cooling towels for my son's baseball team.
- 47:02Speaker 5: Oh, so you're doing stuff. I just figured waiting on
- 47:04Speaker 5: the phone sucks. Personalizing cooling towels.
- 47:06Speaker 13: And when I finished that, I ran to Costco. So
- 47:09Speaker 13: I didn't like stop my life.
- 47:10Speaker 5: However- Oh yeah, I know you were at Costco. I
- 47:12Speaker 5: got a message that someone saw you in the wild.
- 47:13Speaker 5: Kyle in the wild.
- 47:14Speaker 10: Oh my gosh.
- 47:14Speaker 5: I'm so glad that Kyle comes to my Costco, she said.
- 47:17Speaker 9: That's so funny.
- 47:18Speaker 13: No, so I did have to go. Okay, so the
- 47:20Speaker 13: third person I talked to, the lady literally says, and I.
- 47:23Speaker 9: Quote, I have no idea what's going on. Click, hung
- 47:26Speaker 9: up on me. And I was like, okay.
- 47:30Speaker 13: And she had my callback number. So I waited a
- 47:32Speaker 13: little while. I'm like, she's going to call back for sure.
- 47:35Speaker 16: Right?
- 47:36Speaker 9: No, no call back.
- 47:37Speaker 13: And so I look at my phone and I go
- 47:39Speaker 13: to call my husband and it said, your phone's not
- 47:42Speaker 13: connected to a cellular network.
- 47:44Speaker 9: So she shut my phone down.
- 47:46Speaker 13: Now, not only do my text messages with group chats
- 47:49Speaker 13: not work, but my phone literally doesn't work. So I
- 47:52Speaker 13: literally go to my carrier store and I get there
- 47:56Speaker 13: and the guy legit says, yeah, you might want to
- 47:58Speaker 13: go to like a geek squad or something like that,
- 48:00Speaker 13: like a phone repair shop.
- 48:02Speaker 9: We're not really trained to do any of the tech stuff.
- 48:04Speaker 9: And I was like, Okay, because my phone doesn't work
- 48:06Speaker 9: right now, but okay.
- 48:07Speaker 7: How have you been living your life without a working
- 48:10Speaker 7: cellular device?
- 48:11Speaker 13: Okay, well, two minutes later, I go into the car
- 48:14Speaker 13: and I'm very frustrated. I look at my phone and
- 48:15Speaker 13: all of a sudden it's reconnected to the cellular network.
- 48:19Speaker 13: So I'm like, I'm just going to try one more time.
- 48:22Speaker 13: I'm going to go home and then I got to
- 48:23Speaker 13: leave to go get the kids. Well, usually when I leave,
- 48:26Speaker 13: I tell my husband who works from home that I'm
- 48:28Speaker 13: like going to go, but I'm like, I don't have time.
- 48:29Speaker 13: I'll just call him. but my phone wasn't working when
- 48:32Speaker 13: I left. So I literally had to go like tech free.
- 48:34Speaker 13: I was like, how do people communicate without phones? Meanwhile,
- 48:37Speaker 13: I could have just walked in the backyard because that's
- 48:38Speaker 13: where he was, but there's no time for that.
- 48:40Speaker 9: So I literally like, I was like, I don't know
- 48:42Speaker 9: what to do.
- 48:42Speaker 13: I found a sticky note and I literally wrote him
- 48:45Speaker 13: a note like the olden days.
- 48:47Speaker 9: And I was like, gonna leave. Phone's not working. Maybe
- 48:51Speaker 9: I'll call you when it's working again or not. I
- 48:53Speaker 9: have no idea. And it was bottom line is my
- 48:55Speaker 9: text message still don't work.
- 48:56Speaker 5: But where'd you put the sticky note?
- 48:58Speaker 13: Okay, I just put it on the back door because
- 48:59Speaker 13: that's what he walks in and out of.
- 49:00Speaker 4: Yeah, he's going to see it.
- 49:01Speaker 7: Oh my gosh, I'm shocked that you guys don't write notes.
- 49:04Speaker 7: We literally write sticky notes and leave them for each other.
- 49:06Speaker 9: All the time.
- 49:06Speaker 5: Wait, wait, wait. You can get up and leave a
- 49:10Speaker 5: sticky note, but you can't get up and say, I'm leaving.
- 49:12Speaker 9: A hundred percent.
- 49:13Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 49:13Speaker 9: Because then I would have to walk all the way
- 49:14Speaker 9: in the back yard.
- 49:15Speaker 5: And at this point, I just like yell the way
- 49:16Speaker 5: you yell. Your voice carries when you.
- 49:20Speaker 8: Yell.
- 49:20Speaker 13: I was so frustrated that yes, I probably could have,
- 49:23Speaker 13: but I was just like.
- 49:24Speaker 9: I cannot stop down my day. I have to go
- 49:26Speaker 9: to Costco now to do other things. So I don't
- 49:29Speaker 9: know what's going on.
- 49:30Speaker 13: So if you have a Samsung, because the last guy
- 49:32Speaker 13: that I talked to, that was the last 45 minutes
- 49:34Speaker 13: on with customer care after the phone restarted back up.
- 49:37Speaker 13: said he believes it's a Samsung issue with the latest
- 49:41Speaker 13: software update. So I think I'm probably not the only
- 49:44Speaker 13: one with RCS chats not working.
- 49:46Speaker 9: You don't do software updates, though. If you have found
- 49:49Speaker 9: a workaround, please let me know.
- 49:51Speaker 7: Okay, so what if Apple comes and spends all this
- 49:54Speaker 7: money on Samsung to use their technology, but really Apple's
- 49:57Speaker 7: going there and infiltrating the system and shutting down all
- 50:00Speaker 7: of the Samsung. So everyone has to go and buy Apple.
- 50:04Speaker 9: You know what? It could be.
- 50:05Speaker 4: It could be anything.
- 50:06Speaker 9: I just want to be able to text gifs and memes.
- 50:10Speaker 5: Come on back to the blue text scale.
- 50:12Speaker 4: You were once one of us.
- 50:13Speaker 10: Come on back.
- 50:14Speaker 4: No, never. Come on back.
- 50:15Speaker 5: You know what's funny is that you're at Costco and
- 50:17Speaker 5: I wish I messaged, somebody messaged me. I just saw
- 50:20Speaker 5: Kyle at Costco. I'm so glad she goes to my Costco.
- 50:22Speaker 5: And I'm like, oh my God, what's your number? And
- 50:24Speaker 5: I don't know. This is the problem with having too
- 50:27Speaker 5: good of a working phone. is I don't know if
- 50:29Speaker 5: it was DMs on Facebook, DMs on Instagram, if it
- 50:32Speaker 5: was DMs on Twitter, if it was a text line,
- 50:35Speaker 5: if it was an email. That's the problem. I wish
- 50:37Speaker 5: there was just one way to get a hold of us.
- 50:39Speaker 5: You could call us. You can text us. You can
- 50:40Speaker 5: talk back to us.
- 50:41Speaker 7: There's so many ways.
- 50:42Speaker 5: There's so many ways.
- 50:42Speaker 8: They're very happy. I don't know if somebody works there.
- 50:44Speaker 8: They're very happy you go to her Costco.
- 50:46Speaker 5: Oh, that's fun. Just leave us a sticky note. Yeah,
- 50:48Speaker 5: let's go back to that. If you know where the
- 50:51Speaker 5: station is.
- 50:51Speaker 4: Leave us a sticky note.
- 50:52Speaker 9: Just go tech-free.
- 50:53Speaker 18: Are you following us on Insta? Get us up and
- 50:56Speaker 18: get caught up in the lore of the Doom Scroll.
- 50:58Speaker 5: Hi, Danielle. You're on the air. Good morning.
- 51:00Speaker 7: Hi.
- 51:00Speaker 2: Yeah, so, hello. I was supposed to get married next year.
- 51:07Speaker 2: And so, my best friend has been weird about my
- 51:12Speaker 2: fiancé basically since I met him, right? And I always
- 51:17Speaker 2: Just assumed that she didn't like him. Maybe I'm spending
- 51:20Speaker 2: too much.
- 51:20Speaker 4: Time with her.
- 51:21Speaker 2: Not enough with him. Too much time with him. Not
- 51:23Speaker 2: enough with her.
- 51:24Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 51:24Speaker 2: But recently we got into.
- 51:26Speaker 11: A huge fight.
- 51:29Speaker 2: And she finally admits to me that she hooked up
- 51:34Speaker 2: with my fiance.
- 51:35Speaker 9: And when?
- 51:36Speaker 4: No.
- 51:38Speaker 7: Yes.
- 51:39Speaker 2: Now, okay, to be fair, it was several years before
- 51:42Speaker 2: we met. But they both decided to just not tell me.
- 51:47Speaker 11: And she'd been standing.
- 51:48Speaker 2: Next to me helping me plan a wedding for like
- 51:51Speaker 2: a year. So I called off the engagement.
- 51:54Speaker 7: I did.
- 51:55Speaker 2: Not because they hooked up, but because the two people
- 51:58Speaker 2: closest to me, like, looked me in the face every
- 52:01Speaker 2: day and decided to lie.
- 52:04Speaker 7: That I didn't.
- 52:05Speaker 6: Deserve to know the truth.
- 52:05Speaker 5: What was the nature of the hookup? Like, what happened? Like,
- 52:10Speaker 5: do you know?
- 52:11Speaker 2: It was multiple times and I believe it was all
- 52:15Speaker 2: the way. Oh my God.
- 52:17Speaker 7: So if you, if you're, I mean now ex-fiance and
- 52:20Speaker 7: ex-best friend, if they told you that they had hooked
- 52:23Speaker 7: up before, even if this was, you know, six months ago,
- 52:26Speaker 7: do you think that you would have called off the
- 52:27Speaker 7: engagement or is it just because they continue to.
- 52:29Speaker 21: Lie to you?
- 52:32Speaker 2: I think, I hope that I would have been able
- 52:35Speaker 2: to like get over it. It was before I met
- 52:38Speaker 2: him and like, I didn't meet him through her. So
- 52:41Speaker 2: it was not connected. Like they, it wasn't their fault,
- 52:44Speaker 2: but then they're both lying to me. And it feels
- 52:47Speaker 2: like they actually like had this whole, some sort of
- 52:50Speaker 2: relationship outside of me.
- 52:52Speaker 21: Yeah.
- 52:52Speaker 5: I would feel that way too.
- 52:54Speaker 8: I got to tell you though, you got to try
- 52:55Speaker 8: to put yourself in their perspective for a second. They
- 52:58Speaker 8: had this relationship.
- 52:59Speaker 5: Maybe the friend and the boyfriend at some point didn't
- 53:02Speaker 5: realize how far this was going to go with you.
- 53:05Speaker 5: And now, You're three months into a serious relationship. Now
- 53:09Speaker 5: you're like, do we tell her? Now it's six months in.
- 53:11Speaker 5: Now it's a year, however long you've been together. Like,
- 53:13Speaker 5: oh my God, they're getting married and we've never told her. Like,
- 53:17Speaker 5: let's just nip it. But you know.
- 53:18Speaker 7: How that conversation goes, right? Like, as soon as Danielle...
- 53:22Speaker 7: brings her new boyfriend around her best friend. They look
- 53:25Speaker 7: at each other. Things are awkward. Then the two of
- 53:27Speaker 7: them decide to go off to the side and say, yeah,
- 53:29Speaker 7: we're not going.
- 53:29Speaker 9: To tell her.
- 53:30Speaker 5: Or maybe they never talked about it. Maybe they never
- 53:32Speaker 5: even talked about it.
- 53:32Speaker 13: Either way, it almost doesn't even matter what was behind
- 53:37Speaker 13: the hiding of it. it's the fact that you like
- 53:41Speaker 13: poor Danielle's been the odd man out this whole time
- 53:43Speaker 13: and they've been holding the secret behind her back whether
- 53:45Speaker 13: they talked about it and conspired behind her back or
- 53:47Speaker 13: just didn't tell her and just it was like an
- 53:49Speaker 13: unspoken thing it almost doesn't even matter because she's felt
- 53:52Speaker 13: so awkward finding it out that like this whole the
- 53:55Speaker 13: whole time extra gloves.
- 53:57Speaker 4: Like it's sort of like give Danielle the information so
- 54:00Speaker 4: she can decide what she wants to do with it
- 54:02Speaker 4: but If you're both hiding it.
- 54:04Speaker 8: Actually, the part that bothers me the most is that
- 54:07Speaker 8: you get into a fight with your friend and your
- 54:09Speaker 8: friend uses that to hurt you.
- 54:10Speaker 5: Yeah, that's also messed up.
- 54:12Speaker 2: Yeah, it's not like they sat down to tell me.
- 54:14Speaker 5: A hard truth. Right, she's mad at you. And she's like,
- 54:17Speaker 5: by the way, I slept with David.
- 54:19Speaker 7: Right, which means that she's in the back of her
- 54:21Speaker 7: head the whole time. Every time you've irritated her, she's like,
- 54:24Speaker 7: you're right.
- 54:24Speaker 9: That makes it worse.
- 54:26Speaker 4: And what's your fiance, now that you've broken up and
- 54:28Speaker 4: called off the engagement, what's his excuse or his plea
- 54:32Speaker 4: to get you back.
- 54:33Speaker 2: He's like, I don't want to hurt your feelings.
- 54:35Speaker 11: I love you so much.
- 54:37Speaker 2: And please don't throw away our relationship over one thing.
- 54:40Speaker 2: And I'm like, I'm not going to spend the rest
- 54:42Speaker 2: of my life with someone who doesn't tell me things.
- 54:45Speaker 15: You know?
- 54:47Speaker 2: A lie of omission.
- 54:49Speaker 9: It broke the trust.
- 54:51Speaker 5: Well, thank you for calling in, Danielle.
- 54:54Speaker 13: Thank you.
- 54:55Speaker 5: Have a great day.
- 54:58Speaker 10: Yep.
- 54:58Speaker 5: Yep. Got to go.
- 55:01Speaker 7: John Jay and Rich.
- 55:07Speaker 5: We are like a whole vibe. All right, Kyle, what
- 55:08Speaker 5: do you got? What's his big story?
- 55:10Speaker 13: Okay, Target just announced they have their new Target Beauty Studio.
- 55:14Speaker 13: And I feel like the beauty section has been under
- 55:16Speaker 13: construction for a while. And now we know why. Because
- 55:18Speaker 13: they're putting more than 1,600 products from 90 beauty brands
- 55:22Speaker 13: into 600 plus stores worldwide. after ending its Ulta Shop partnership.
- 55:25Speaker 13: And now they're just like, here's all the beauty stuff. No,
- 55:28Speaker 13: the Ulta Shop is done?
- 55:29Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 55:30Speaker 11: What?
- 55:31Speaker 9: But they have like great brands. Oh my gosh.
- 55:33Speaker 13: Okay, so like Dyson, Tula, Billie Eilish fragrances, Ariana Grande fragrances.
- 55:37Speaker 13: So they're adding a whole bunch of new stuff.
- 55:40Speaker 3: And they're like.
- 55:40Speaker 9: Just know it's going to be amazing.
- 55:42Speaker 13: And I'm like scared to walk into Target now because
- 55:44Speaker 13: I know I will not walk out of there without
- 55:47Speaker 13: spending like $ 200.
- 55:48Speaker 5: Isn't that the ongoing joke with Target? How you say
- 55:52Speaker 5: you're going for one thing and you go for, you
- 55:54Speaker 5: come out with more.
- 55:54Speaker 9: Or you walk into Target and Target tells you what
- 55:56Speaker 9: you need.
- 55:57Speaker 5: Now it's worse now because of all this makeup.
- 56:00Speaker 9: Oh my goodness.
- 56:01Speaker 7: Especially if they put in some like really big time
- 56:03Speaker 7: name brands. Like if they get a sponsorship with Hailey
- 56:06Speaker 7: Bieber and you put road in there.
- 56:07Speaker 12: Yeah. Oh yeah. Gosh.
- 56:09Speaker 7: Rare beauty.
- 56:11Speaker 12: All of it.
- 56:11Speaker 9: I need it all.
- 56:12Speaker 7: That's so exciting.
- 56:12Speaker 5: So now your husband is going to say, no, Kyle,
- 56:14Speaker 5: don't go to Target.
- 56:15Speaker 9: I'm telling myself that.
- 56:16Speaker 7: There's going to be a lot of Target bans, I'm sure,
- 56:19Speaker 7: going on.
- 56:20Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 56:20Speaker 5: You think you really are going to not go into Target?
- 56:23Speaker 9: I will avoid it.
- 56:24Speaker 5: You will really?
- 56:24Speaker 13: Yeah, I'm trying to save money right now.
- 56:26Speaker 9: I do want to check it out, but stop trying
- 56:29Speaker 9: to make me go in there. It's like, no, spend money.
- 56:32Speaker 8: That's how I feel sometimes when I find a certain
- 56:34Speaker 8: cool store. Like if I go to a Walgreens and
- 56:37Speaker 8: I walk down those aisles, we have all the cool
- 56:39Speaker 8: stuff that you don't normally see that's seen on TV.
- 56:41Speaker 7: Oh, yeah.
- 56:42Speaker 5: I'd buy all that stuff. Your life could change in
- 56:44Speaker 5: that aisle. If there was an actual building that was
- 56:46Speaker 5: a TikTok store, you could buy all the stuff on TikTok?
- 56:48Speaker 5: For sure.
- 56:49Speaker 7: It's literally five below. You could literally, you would have
- 56:52Speaker 7: a field day.
- 56:53Speaker 12: Really?
- 56:53Speaker 5: At five below.
- 56:54Speaker 4: Oh, five below is amazing.
- 56:55Speaker 13: But everything adds up really fast because you're like, it's
- 56:57Speaker 13: five below.
- 56:58Speaker 7: Exactly.
- 56:58Speaker 9: And then you go to the checkout and you're like,
- 56:59Speaker 9: it's what?
- 57:00Speaker 5: I get excited at the dollar store because it's so amazing.
- 57:02Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 57:03Speaker 4: Five Below, though, has like things that don't exist elsewhere.
- 57:05Speaker 4: Like if, say, they're going to try out like a
- 57:07Speaker 4: new candy, they'll stick it at Five Below.
- 57:09Speaker 7: Yeah, but they also have some really cool like knickknacks
- 57:11Speaker 7: and like gadgets.
- 57:13Speaker 5: Hey, Ricky, what's a store you can't go into? You
- 57:15Speaker 5: just can't be trusted because it's so good.
- 57:18Speaker 1: Well, I mean, this is, I think, pretty common for
- 57:20Speaker 1: a lot of people, but, you know, I cannot be
- 57:22Speaker 1: trusted in the grocery store if I'm hungry.
- 57:24Speaker 5: You know what I mean?
- 57:27Speaker 12: True.
- 57:27Speaker 9: So true, Ricky.
- 57:28Speaker 1: I just went in one time for, like, eggs, you know,
- 57:31Speaker 1: eggs and milk, and I left with, I think, a
- 57:33Speaker 1: rotisserie chicken, a birthday cake. Two bottles of champagne and
- 57:38Speaker 1: one of those little pre-made charcuterie boards. I don't know.
- 57:41Speaker 1: Somewhere in there, I decided I was having a social
- 57:43Speaker 1: gathering of just me. But yeah, I just ended up
- 57:47Speaker 1: eating the charcuterie board.
- 57:48Speaker 10: In the car on the way home. I was really hungry.
- 57:51Speaker 5: You may want to change my answer now. For me,
- 57:53Speaker 5: it's Sprouts. Oh, yeah. I love going out. They have
- 57:55Speaker 5: so many healthy things, and I want to try everything,
- 57:58Speaker 5: but I'm also just afraid. I was just there yesterday.
- 58:00Speaker 5: I wanted to buy all this dark chocolate. It looks
- 58:02Speaker 5: so good.
- 58:03Speaker 4: That's why Whole Foods, I think, is smart, because now
- 58:04Speaker 4: they just put eating booths right there. You could buy
- 58:07Speaker 4: your groceries and just sit in a booth and chow down.
- 58:09Speaker 9: But in Sprouts, when you see treats like that, you
- 58:11Speaker 9: think they're healthy.
- 58:12Speaker 5: That's what I'm saying. I feel that they're healthy.
- 58:14Speaker 9: It's like a mind game.
- 58:15Speaker 5: Thanks, Ricky. Hey, Renee, what's a store you can't be
- 58:18Speaker 5: trusted in?
- 58:20Speaker 15: Oh, good Lord. It's Costco. It's really bad.
- 58:23Speaker 17: Oh, my gosh.
- 58:23Speaker 13: Actually, that's so valid. I literally am out of toilet
- 58:27Speaker 13: paper right now. And I like to get the toilet
- 58:28Speaker 13: paper at Costco so you.
- 58:29Speaker 26: Don't have to go.
- 58:30Speaker 13: And I'm like avoiding it because I'm like, what else
- 58:32Speaker 13: is Costco going to make me buy?
- 58:35Speaker 15: Oh, my gosh.
- 58:36Speaker 11: Okay.
- 58:36Speaker 26: So my last trip, I kid you not, was a
- 58:40Speaker 26: week ago Sunday. And I am a sucker for a
- 58:43Speaker 26: good sale. I was buying stuff.
- 58:45Speaker 3: I shopped.
- 58:46Speaker 26: Not be buying and i'm like coming up with reasons
- 58:49Speaker 26: why i should buy things so yeah it was really.
- 58:52Speaker 4: Bad what did you get like what's a big ticket
- 58:54Speaker 4: item that you didn't need that you got anyway because
- 58:56Speaker 4: it was on sale um.
- 58:58Speaker 26: I think uh yeah i bought a dolly like a
- 59:01Speaker 26: moving dolly.
- 59:03Speaker 13: Yeah yeah dude you will go into costco i'll need
- 59:07Speaker 13: something like that someday.
- 59:08Speaker 5: Yeah for sure did you put the dolly on the
- 59:10Speaker 5: dolly at Costco?
- 59:14Speaker 26: It was, yeah. And I think another time I bought
- 59:17Speaker 26: like a, like a, one of those vacuum mop things.
- 59:21Speaker 26: And it actually ended up.
- 59:23Speaker 19: Being really useful.
- 59:24Speaker 26: But yeah, the dolly, it still is sitting in its
- 59:26Speaker 26: wrapper in the garage.
- 59:27Speaker 19: I don't know when I'll use it.
- 59:29Speaker 13: There is like a weird Costco effect. You'll like go
- 59:32Speaker 13: in for dish soap and you'll come out with like
- 59:33Speaker 13: a canoe. You're like, what just happened?
- 59:35Speaker 9: It's Costco.
- 59:36Speaker 15: Yep, yep, yep. It's horrible.
- 59:39Speaker 26: And then you'll go in and want to buy a
- 59:41Speaker 26: bunch of food and you'll end up buying food that
- 59:45Speaker 26: you'll never eat.
- 59:46Speaker 5: There's no room for it either. Yeah, the freezer is
- 59:50Speaker 5: chock full.
- 59:50Speaker 26: It's like, yeah, I was like, I don't have room
- 59:53Speaker 26: in my freezer.
- 59:53Speaker 21: What am I doing?
- 59:54Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 59:55Speaker 5: Thanks, Renee. Thanks for calling in. Boy, everyone's calling for this. Kayla,
- 59:58Speaker 5: what's a store you can't be trusted in? Oh, my gosh.
- 1:00:02Speaker 11: I cannot be trusted in a TJ Maxx.
- 1:00:04Speaker 17: Oh, my gosh.
- 1:00:07Speaker 9: Everyone calling is my spirit animal.
- 1:00:08Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:00:10Speaker 11: Literally. A few days ago, I went in for a toothpaste,
- 1:00:15Speaker 11: and I'm not even kidding you. I am looking right
- 1:00:17Speaker 11: now at two giant bags. You know those bags in
- 1:00:21Speaker 11: the checkout that you have to buy for 99 cents
- 1:00:23Speaker 11: when you buy too much shit?
- 1:00:24Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.
- 1:00:25Speaker 11: I got two of those right in front of me
- 1:00:26Speaker 11: that were supposed to be toothpaste, which is why I
- 1:00:28Speaker 11: didn't bring a bag in.
- 1:00:30Speaker 17: I came out.
- 1:00:31Speaker 11: This is so crazy, but right now I'm looking at,
- 1:00:34Speaker 11: I don't think it's that crazy, actually. I justify it
- 1:00:36Speaker 11: to myself.
- 1:00:37Speaker 15: There is a kayak paddle.
- 1:00:38Speaker 11: In my kitchen. And a six-foot skeleton, because apparently my
- 1:00:45Speaker 11: brain will justify buying anything with a clearance red tag.
- 1:00:49Speaker 5: You need to connect with Kyle and get her canoe,
- 1:00:52Speaker 5: because all you have is a paddle. She's got the canoe.
- 1:00:55Speaker 11: My boyfriend asked me why I bought the skeleton. And
- 1:00:58Speaker 11: I told him, well, it's 70% off. And Halloween's going
- 1:01:02Speaker 11: to be lit.
- 1:01:03Speaker 13: All right, Kayla, thanks for calling in.
- 1:01:07Speaker 11: But he was kind of annoyed because we don't even
- 1:01:09Speaker 11: have a kayak. And I get that. But maybe we
- 1:01:12Speaker 11: could start kayaking.
- 1:01:13Speaker 5: There you go. Have a great day. It's John Jane Rich. Lily,
- 1:01:24Speaker 5: good morning. What is the craziest thing you've seen at
- 1:01:28Speaker 5: a wedding? Yeah.
- 1:01:30Speaker 6: Hi, good morning. So I thought of this when you
- 1:01:32Speaker 6: were talking about the themes wedding and I just had
- 1:01:34Speaker 6: to call it and tell this story because it was
- 1:01:37Speaker 6: absolutely bananas to be honest. So I went to a wedding,
- 1:01:43Speaker 6: you know, didn't really know the bride and groom. It
- 1:01:45Speaker 6: was one of those like really big weddings where it
- 1:01:48Speaker 6: was like, I was just kind of another face in
- 1:01:51Speaker 6: the crowd. They had all these really great drinks. And
- 1:01:53Speaker 6: so people were definitely at a point where they had
- 1:01:57Speaker 6: drank too much and the music was great. So everyone
- 1:02:00Speaker 6: was dancing and there came a point where the bridal
- 1:02:07Speaker 6: party started doing, you know, different dances and whatnot. And
- 1:02:10Speaker 6: also they had like a dozen bridesmaids. And all of
- 1:02:15Speaker 6: a sudden there ends up being like this open space
- 1:02:19Speaker 6: on the dance floor. And one of the bridesmaids has
- 1:02:24Speaker 6: the groom on a chair. And then it ends up
- 1:02:27Speaker 6: starting to veer into like a lap dance situation. And
- 1:02:32Speaker 6: then she goes like even further and it like ends
- 1:02:37Speaker 6: up being like, we are all hundreds of people watching
- 1:02:41Speaker 6: this bridesmaid and give a full out lap dance to
- 1:02:45Speaker 6: the groom.
- 1:02:48Speaker 13: Tell me the bride wasn't completely PO'd.
- 1:02:51Speaker 24: Just to paint you this like tableau, you have then the,
- 1:02:59Speaker 24: like the bridal party, you know, they're like raised tables
- 1:03:03Speaker 24: right behind the dance floor.
- 1:03:04Speaker 6: And while this is happening, the bride is like, literally,
- 1:03:08Speaker 6: it was like a movie. Like she's sitting like in
- 1:03:11Speaker 6: the middle of, and just watching this. And I swear
- 1:03:14Speaker 6: to God, she turned green. And like the dance, I mean,
- 1:03:19Speaker 6: how could you not? And so then the dance ends.
- 1:03:23Speaker 6: And I mean, like they're both just like clearly drunk.
- 1:03:27Speaker 6: And I don't know, but.
- 1:03:29Speaker 24: She, it's like slow motion.
- 1:03:32Speaker 6: The bridesmaid walks up and the bride turns to her
- 1:03:37Speaker 6: and pours a glass of champagne over her head And
- 1:03:42Speaker 6: this girl's wearing a silk dress, and it just goes
- 1:03:45Speaker 6: all over her dress. It was a full glass. And
- 1:03:48Speaker 6: she says, like, almost announces, she's like, you can have
- 1:03:53Speaker 6: your drink back when you're done with my husband. And
- 1:03:56Speaker 6: then she storms off. And, like, the rest of the
- 1:04:01Speaker 6: night kind of kept going, but we didn't see the
- 1:04:05Speaker 6: bride and groom again. And it was beyond dramatic.
- 1:04:08Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:04:09Speaker 8: So what if the bridesmaid that did the dance was
- 1:04:11Speaker 8: one of the bride's friends or one of the groom's friends?
- 1:04:14Speaker 8: You know how sometimes grooms have friends that are girls
- 1:04:16Speaker 8: and you put them in a bridal party?
- 1:04:17Speaker 5: Like, why would she do that? That's so terrible.
- 1:04:20Speaker 7: Because she totally wanted him. Yeah.
- 1:04:21Speaker 9: Or they already had something going on.
- 1:04:23Speaker 5: That's terrible.
- 1:04:23Speaker 7: And I mean, honestly, in my opinion, a glass of
- 1:04:25Speaker 7: champagne is not enough. I probably would.
- 1:04:27Speaker 9: Have beat the brakes off of her.
- 1:04:29Speaker 4: And then you've got to out-dance her because she can't
- 1:04:31Speaker 4: be showed up.
- 1:04:32Speaker 9: Dance battle. Disrespect.
- 1:04:34Speaker 7: And then you have to handle your husband after?
- 1:04:37Speaker 9: That's just icky all around. I hate that.
- 1:04:38Speaker 5: Well, Lily, thanks for sharing that. That's a good one.
- 1:04:40Speaker 8: We were talking about getting the craziest thing you've seen
- 1:04:42Speaker 8: in a wedding, and that's a pretty bad one.
- 1:04:44Speaker 5: Thank you for calling in.
- 1:04:45Speaker 6: Yeah, it was crazy.
- 1:04:47Speaker 24: Yeah, thanks so much.
- 1:04:48Speaker 5: Good morning, Lindsay.
- 1:04:50Speaker 14: You're on the air.
- 1:04:58Speaker 7: Good morning.
- 1:04:59Speaker 5: What's going on?
- 1:05:00Speaker 20: So I have like a funny social media mistake story.
- 1:05:03Speaker 15: Oh, good.
- 1:05:04Speaker 5: We were totally getting to that last week. Love to
- 1:05:07Speaker 5: hear it. What happened?
- 1:05:08Speaker 20: So it didn't happen to me, but it happened to
- 1:05:09Speaker 20: my best friend. So she accidentally posted on LinkedIn instead
- 1:05:13Speaker 20: of texting me. I guess she was using Siri and
- 1:05:17Speaker 20: like she told it to go text Lindsay, but I
- 1:05:19Speaker 20: guess it heard post on LinkedIn.
- 1:05:22Speaker 15: So.
- 1:05:23Speaker 20: It was supposed to be a message to me that said,
- 1:05:25Speaker 20: I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing at this job.
- 1:05:28Speaker 20: I've been faking it for like the last six months
- 1:05:31Speaker 20: or whatever. And she posted it publicly with a picture
- 1:05:37Speaker 20: of herself smiling at her desk.
- 1:05:41Speaker 4: So all her bosses, all her new employee friends, everybody
- 1:05:46Speaker 4: sees that?
- 1:05:47Speaker 20: Yeah, so I guess her boss liked it within, like,
- 1:05:49Speaker 20: two minutes.
- 1:05:49Speaker 17: Oh, no.
- 1:05:49Speaker 20: She called me screaming. She was like, I'm unemployed.
- 1:05:52Speaker 15: I was like, oh, my gosh.
- 1:05:53Speaker 5: Did he fire her?
- 1:05:55Speaker 20: No, no, but he did comment, let's chat on Monday.
- 1:05:58Speaker 7: Oh, no.
- 1:05:59Speaker 5: Let's chat.
- 1:06:00Speaker 9: Let's chat.
- 1:06:01Speaker 7: Let's chat. You have to sit the whole weekend with
- 1:06:04Speaker 7: that shit in your stomach.
- 1:06:07Speaker 20: Yeah, she just pretended the whole weekend that, like, she
- 1:06:09Speaker 20: did it on purpose, and it was, like, an intentional
- 1:06:11Speaker 20: joke about, like, imposter syndrome, so.
- 1:06:14Speaker 5: That is a funny social media flub. That's good. That's
- 1:06:17Speaker 5: very good. Thanks for sharing it, Lindsay.
- 1:06:20Speaker 19: Yeah, no problem.
- 1:06:23Speaker 5: I have the top 10 analog trends we're embracing this year.
- 1:06:28Speaker 5: Top 10. Analog trends, what does that mean, you ask?
- 1:06:31Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm like, what is that, an analog clock?
- 1:06:33Speaker 9: Or like, just no technology?
- 1:06:35Speaker 8: I'll give you an example of what it means. Reading books,
- 1:06:36Speaker 8: because I know that someone in here started reading books.
- 1:06:38Speaker 7: Yes, I'm on my 12th book of the year. I
- 1:06:42Speaker 7: set a goal to read 12 books by the end
- 1:06:44Speaker 7: of the year, so I'm already way ahead.
- 1:06:46Speaker 14: Of the game.
- 1:06:46Speaker 9: Oh, good job.
- 1:06:47Speaker 7: And I'm like, so loving. My book club right now,
- 1:06:51Speaker 7: it is literally the best time ever. It's like my
- 1:06:54Speaker 7: core group of friends. I have one of Kadeem's cousins
- 1:06:56Speaker 7: that's in there. My mom and my grandma are in
- 1:06:59Speaker 7: our book club.
- 1:07:00Speaker 5: What book are you reading right now?
- 1:07:03Speaker 7: Right now, we just finished reading The Inmate by Frida McFadden.
- 1:07:08Speaker 5: Frida Leigh?
- 1:07:08Speaker 7: No, Frida McFadden, who did The Inmate. We picked our
- 1:07:12Speaker 7: other book, but I forget.
- 1:07:13Speaker 5: Okay. Well, book clubs are big right now. They're huge.
- 1:07:15Speaker 8: Like my wife's in a book club and reading is
- 1:07:18Speaker 8: making a comeback. We even saw that in a lot
- 1:07:20Speaker 8: of research on this radio show. Everyone loves books. So
- 1:07:23Speaker 8: these are the top 10 analog trends we're embracing. Actual cameras.
- 1:07:29Speaker 8: Phone cameras are really good now, but real ones still
- 1:07:30Speaker 8: have their appeal. In fact, I'm starting to see that
- 1:07:33Speaker 8: more out and about nowadays, like cameras.
- 1:07:35Speaker 5: Yep.
- 1:07:36Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:07:37Speaker 5: At festivals and stuff and I wonder why does it
- 1:07:39Speaker 5: take better.
- 1:07:39Speaker 7: Pictures yeah well you get that you get that film
- 1:07:42Speaker 7: or you get the flash and then you have.
- 1:07:44Speaker 4: To carry extra stuff I think it's like the 80s
- 1:07:47Speaker 4: nostalgia Sony camera look is kind of popular right now
- 1:07:51Speaker 4: but then you.
- 1:07:51Speaker 7: Also have there's like one specific Canon camera that gives
- 1:07:55Speaker 7: you like super high quality professional photos even if you're
- 1:07:58Speaker 7: not a professional and all the like Instagram baddies use
- 1:08:00Speaker 7: that camera well these.
- 1:08:01Speaker 5: Are analog trends we're embracing analog music like listening to
- 1:08:04Speaker 5: record CDs or the radio thank you for listening to
- 1:08:06Speaker 5: the radio This is a bit rich. You do that.
- 1:08:09Speaker 5: And rich also does wearing a watch. Not a smart watch.
- 1:08:11Speaker 5: Not a smart watch. An old school dumb watch, they
- 1:08:13Speaker 5: call it. I like it.
- 1:08:15Speaker 4: And I think that's, it's just, for me, it's more
- 1:08:19Speaker 4: back to the way things were. I don't want my
- 1:08:21Speaker 4: wrist buzzing every time there's a text or anything. I
- 1:08:24Speaker 4: just like an old school watch and I like vinyl.
- 1:08:26Speaker 5: And Kyle, you do this one. Using an old school planner.
- 1:08:29Speaker 7: I do.
- 1:08:29Speaker 9: I like to write things down.
- 1:08:32Speaker 5: And here's another one. These are the top 10 analog
- 1:08:34Speaker 5: trends we're embracing. Writing letters. When was the last time
- 1:08:36Speaker 5: you got one in the mail? If you're under 30,
- 1:08:38Speaker 5: maybe never. That's what it says.
- 1:08:40Speaker 26: Anybody?
- 1:08:42Speaker 7: Yeah, I've written letters. Yeah, I did have a prison
- 1:08:46Speaker 7: pen pal in college.
- 1:08:47Speaker 9: That's fun.
- 1:08:49Speaker 7: He helped me with my senior capstone, which is really helpful.
- 1:08:51Speaker 7: So thank you for that, Terrell.
- 1:08:53Speaker 5: Yeah what was Terrell in for uh.
- 1:08:57Speaker 7: I don't remember I think he like robbed some store
- 1:08:58Speaker 7: or something sure oh all right I didn't know him
- 1:09:01Speaker 7: personally he was just my prison using he's still in
- 1:09:06Speaker 7: he's definitely still locked up which is why I had
- 1:09:08Speaker 7: to use like a random po box because I didn't
- 1:09:10Speaker 7: want him to get out and come find me because
- 1:09:12Speaker 7: I'm sure he was telling everyone I was his girl
- 1:09:14Speaker 7: in prison and I wasn't for sure for sure Well, here's.
- 1:09:17Speaker 5: Another analog trend using an alarm clock, an old school
- 1:09:19Speaker 5: alarm clock. I do that. I don't trust. I don't like,
- 1:09:21Speaker 5: I don't like the iPhone using his alarm. Cause like
- 1:09:24Speaker 5: my son uses the alarm clock, uh, his phone to
- 1:09:27Speaker 5: get up. And the other day it didn't go off.
- 1:09:28Speaker 5: And I was like, he gets up before me. And
- 1:09:31Speaker 5: I was like, I wonder why he's not up yet.
- 1:09:33Speaker 5: I went in there and it didn't go off for
- 1:09:34Speaker 5: whatever reason. Old school alarm clock never fails. Don't trust
- 1:09:38Speaker 5: your phone. Here's another analog trend.
- 1:09:40Speaker 8: This is making a big comeback, too, playing physical games
- 1:09:43Speaker 8: like board games, puzzles instead of video games.
- 1:09:45Speaker 7: I just had a game night for my birthday. We
- 1:09:47Speaker 7: played board games. We played Uno. And we just sat there.
- 1:09:49Speaker 7: Instead of going out and spending $ 400, we just went
- 1:09:53Speaker 7: to Costco and stuff.
- 1:09:54Speaker 10: I love that.
- 1:09:54Speaker 4: Have you been to any bars where it's like the
- 1:09:56Speaker 4: thing they have on the wall are all the board games?
- 1:09:59Speaker 7: Yeah, Snakes and Lattes on Mill is like so dope.
- 1:10:02Speaker 7: If you want to just go and hang out, they
- 1:10:03Speaker 7: have literally every single board game you can think of.
- 1:10:06Speaker 4: Except for Monopoly because I don't want you hanging out
- 1:10:08Speaker 4: there for like eight hours.
- 1:10:09Speaker 9: It's too long.
- 1:10:09Speaker 7: I think they got it in there.
- 1:10:11Speaker 8: Using a paper calendar is on here. It says you're
- 1:10:12Speaker 8: probably not ditching your iCalendar, but it's nice to have
- 1:10:15Speaker 8: one hanging somewhere.
- 1:10:15Speaker 5: We have that in there.
- 1:10:16Speaker 7: Just make sure that it's visible.
- 1:10:17Speaker 9: We have like a dry erase one.
- 1:10:20Speaker 5: Using an actual notebook for notes. Apps are great, but
- 1:10:23Speaker 5: pens and paper do still exist. Amen.
- 1:10:26Speaker 7: Every day. Okay, wait, no. Is there like an MP3
- 1:10:30Speaker 7: or like an iPod coming back in there? Because did
- 1:10:32Speaker 7: you guys see that Justin Bieber's Skylark brand is dropping
- 1:10:35Speaker 7: an MP3 player?
- 1:10:36Speaker 8: I saw, I got the email with all the stuff
- 1:10:38Speaker 8: on it and I didn't see, I didn't see that.
- 1:10:40Speaker 5: I saw the red shorts.
- 1:10:41Speaker 13: I'm actually surprised like why Apple hasn't re-released the iPod.
- 1:10:45Speaker 9: I know, right?
- 1:10:46Speaker 7: This is what it looks like. It's like super cool
- 1:10:48Speaker 7: looking and you can plug, like you plug in the
- 1:10:50Speaker 7: old headphones that you would do. And I actually think
- 1:10:53Speaker 7: Kylie Jenner had teased this as well because everyone's back
- 1:10:55Speaker 7: with like.
- 1:10:56Speaker 9: The two red headphones. That's really smart.
- 1:10:57Speaker 5: You know what's funny about Justin Bieber? This is funny
- 1:10:59Speaker 5: you bring him up. Yesterday I went into a Justin
- 1:11:01Speaker 5: Bieber deep dive on whether he had a hair transplant
- 1:11:03Speaker 5: or not. Have you guys ever done that?
- 1:11:05Speaker 11: No.
- 1:11:05Speaker 8: No. I, there's this plastic surgeon I follow on Instagram
- 1:11:08Speaker 8: and she was doing a whole thing.
- 1:11:09Speaker 5: And I was like, no way. And so I went
- 1:11:11Speaker 5: and Googled it. It's like a big thing. There's so
- 1:11:13Speaker 5: many photos. Everyone says he's got a hair transplant, which
- 1:11:15Speaker 5: I don't think is a big deal.
- 1:11:16Speaker 9: I think a lot of celebrities in Hollywood have done that.
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:11:18Speaker 5: But if you think about it, there's rarely any more
- 1:11:21Speaker 5: men that are bald. Yeah, that's true.
- 1:11:23Speaker 14: Right.
- 1:11:23Speaker 5: So I said rarely Hollywood, but if you look at it,
- 1:11:27Speaker 5: go just Google for fun, go be, look at Bieber
- 1:11:29Speaker 5: hair transplant and look at pictures of him before and after.
- 1:11:32Speaker 5: And it's kind of like, But he won't acknowledge it.
- 1:11:34Speaker 5: They said he'd been asking. He won't acknowledge it. His
- 1:11:35Speaker 5: people would acknowledge it.
- 1:11:36Speaker 9: Well, that's OK. He can keep it to himself. That's fine.
- 1:11:38Speaker 7: It would make sense that we'd want his full head
- 1:11:40Speaker 7: of hair because like you had the Bieber flip. Like
- 1:11:42Speaker 7: that's what Justin Bieber's hair and the flip and the
- 1:11:45Speaker 7: baby and the music videos. Like he needs a full
- 1:11:48Speaker 7: head of hair.
- 1:11:49Speaker 9: I know a lot of celebrities got an eyebrow hair transplants.
- 1:11:52Speaker 5: Eyebrow hair.
- 1:11:53Speaker 10: Yes.
- 1:11:53Speaker 15: Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:11:55Speaker 9: It's like, it's a thing.
- 1:11:56Speaker 5: Oh, you mean the women?
- 1:11:56Speaker 13: Women?
- 1:11:56Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 1:11:57Speaker 15: Wow.
- 1:11:58Speaker 5: I've never heard of that before. I haven't either.
- 1:12:00Speaker 4: I can see that though.
- 1:12:01Speaker 9: It's a thing.
- 1:12:01Speaker 5: But if Justin, we've got a hair transplant, it looks great.
- 1:12:03Speaker 5: It looks great.
- 1:12:04Speaker 9: Justin, you look great.
