- 0:01Speaker 1: All right yo Bulet Cas Show, Bulllet Care Podcast special
- 0:04Speaker 1: guests in here, my guy Jason Cash. Yeah, Carson Zone
- 0:07Speaker 1: is here, Yes, sir, welcome man, thank you for having me.
- 0:10Speaker 1: I'm glad you're you know, you've been working on so
- 0:12Speaker 1: much music for I feel like the last few years,
- 0:16Speaker 1: and uh, finally it started for getting music from you,
- 0:21Speaker 1: right right right, yeah for two for two so far. Man,
- 0:25Speaker 1: congrats just on everything, like for people who don't know,
- 0:28Speaker 1: like kind of give a little bit of a background,
- 0:30Speaker 1: like just who you are, where you're from, and like
- 0:32Speaker 1: how long you've been doing this rap shit? Man, Man,
- 0:34Speaker 1: I've been. I've been releasing records since MySpace, MySpace dage sure,
- 0:39Speaker 1: like I was dropping on MySpace. I go back to
- 0:42Speaker 1: like the I remember like some of my first ships
- 0:47Speaker 1: I was dropping. It wasn't even on a platform like
- 0:49Speaker 1: I used to just make the line links file. Yeah,
- 0:52Speaker 1: I remember those just dropping that shit on Twitter. But
- 0:55Speaker 1: you know I'm from Carson, man, I've been on this
- 0:59Speaker 1: journey for for a cool little minute. Man. Hurdles of course,
- 1:02Speaker 1: waggling through the bullshit, figuring out you know, what works
- 1:06Speaker 1: what don't work, right, So it's been a it's been
- 1:09Speaker 1: a long journey of just trying to figure out my footing.
- 1:12Speaker 1: And so now that we're in a position where you know,
- 1:15Speaker 1: we had the music and now we kind of have
- 1:18Speaker 1: the personnel, it's like, okay, now let's maximize everything that
- 1:21Speaker 1: we're doing. Yeah, you're sitting on a insane cachet of music.
- 1:25Speaker 1: How much? How many songs are like that that are
- 1:27Speaker 1: like that? Are you like these? I like these? Are
- 1:30Speaker 1: you actually like sitting on the ship man? A lot?
- 1:34Speaker 1: A lot? And that's stuff that's the hard part. That's
- 1:37Speaker 1: the hard part because it'd be like certain songs that
- 1:40Speaker 1: you really really not only do you really like, but
- 1:42Speaker 1: you have a connection to the record, so you're like, damn,
- 1:44Speaker 1: I want this ship to come out and choosing from
- 1:47Speaker 1: your kids, right, Yeah, that's why I kind of learned
- 1:50Speaker 1: to stop time stamping the music. Right. Sometimes you'll say
- 1:53Speaker 1: some ship that like it's like, yeah, it's like now
- 1:56Speaker 1: you can't use that line. It's like something that would
- 1:59Speaker 1: have made sense two years exactly, so now you got
- 2:01Speaker 1: to switch it in in and all that stuff like that.
- 2:02Speaker 1: So I've been trying not to do that with the records,
- 2:05Speaker 1: but now it's it's a lot of stuff and certain
- 2:07Speaker 1: ship what I've been doing is certain records where it'd
- 2:10Speaker 1: be like I love it, but I understand the business
- 2:12Speaker 1: that we Okay, this might not m well for me,
- 2:14Speaker 1: So I might take a verse off a record and
- 2:16Speaker 1: put it on something else, or take a couple of lines,
- 2:18Speaker 1: or rework a car that was on another record. But
- 2:21Speaker 1: we definitely have a lot of records. Yeah, Kanye used
- 2:24Speaker 1: to do that. You would like hear like like old
- 2:26Speaker 1: school like Kanye mixtapes and he would have like that,
- 2:30Speaker 1: like there was that line that the mayonnaise color bands
- 2:33Speaker 1: and pushed miracle whips and then you had ended up.
- 2:35Speaker 1: So yeah, I heard it on one of one of
- 2:37Speaker 1: his you know mixtapes when I was in high school.
- 2:40Speaker 1: And then College Dropout came out and he had it
- 2:41Speaker 1: on the Breathing Breath. But it would he would have
- 2:44Speaker 1: lines like that where he would be like he'd have
- 2:46Speaker 1: a feature come out, and I'm like, man, I heard
- 2:48Speaker 1: that bar on his right. But it makes sense because
- 2:51Speaker 1: why if you're smart enough to know like this song
- 2:54Speaker 1: might not never see the light of day. But I
- 2:56Speaker 1: said some ship on here. Yeah, So what I try
- 2:58Speaker 1: to do, I try to be careful like the ones
- 3:00Speaker 1: like you asked me about a song off the record.
- 3:03Speaker 1: I'm like, I don't know if that song is gone
- 3:05Speaker 1: ever really move. So I stopped playing it for people
- 3:08Speaker 1: because I'm like, all right, I don't want to say
- 3:10Speaker 1: these lines or something else. And people be like, oh, yeah,
- 3:12Speaker 1: I heard that, so it makes sense. That makes sense. Man,
- 3:17Speaker 1: your favorite rapper sugar sugar Free. And now if anyone
- 3:20Speaker 1: who's like heard you or listened to your raps, like,
- 3:23Speaker 1: it's very evident that he is an influence. It's crazy.
- 3:26Speaker 1: I was. I was telling him. I'm like, you know,
- 3:28Speaker 1: especially being from out here, when people will hear you,
- 3:30Speaker 1: they'd be like, oh, you sound like like I used
- 3:32Speaker 1: to take when I was first taking label meters. They
- 3:34Speaker 1: was telling me like, man, you sound like the Crosby
- 3:35Speaker 1: team between Kendrick and school Boy Q. And you know,
- 3:40Speaker 1: I get it. But I always tell people like, if
- 3:43Speaker 1: you really know, like if you really know, you know
- 3:45Speaker 1: what it is, like, Yeah, that's that's sugar Free reincarnated.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Yeah that's I mean. The first time I heard you,
- 3:51Speaker 1: like on Instagram or Twitter or whatever it was, I
- 3:53Speaker 1: was like, yo, he's I hear the Sugar Free influence
- 3:56Speaker 1: like heavily. You know what I'm saying, and I know that,
- 4:00Speaker 1: you know, you just posted a video of you guys
- 4:02Speaker 1: get a studio together. I believe you played me a
- 4:04Speaker 1: song where he's on it. Yeah, how big of a
- 4:08Speaker 1: deal is that, Like, you know, bigger than signing the deal.
- 4:12Speaker 1: That's crazy, man, So it kind of give us that
- 4:14Speaker 1: that story. I literally just posted the video right now.
- 4:17Speaker 1: We're in the studio and he telling me about how
- 4:19Speaker 1: he fuck with my style and I'm like, shit, I
- 4:21Speaker 1: took your shit right and just made him my own.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Like I was literally tell him. I'm like, it's like
- 4:25Speaker 1: having a space jam ball, Like I just went to
- 4:28Speaker 1: you and I'm like, I can't take your power. But
- 4:30Speaker 1: it's like I just took you know, your cadences inflicted
- 4:33Speaker 1: because I mean, I ain't no pimp. I've never you
- 4:36Speaker 1: know before, but I fucked with you know, his message him,
- 4:43Speaker 1: his message being the fact that this is what I'm
- 4:45Speaker 1: gonna talk about, This is what I'm gonna be on
- 4:47Speaker 1: and I don't give a fuck about nothing else but this.
- 4:50Speaker 1: You know what I mean. You ain't never heard sugar
- 4:52Speaker 1: free this nobody. You ain't never heard him talk bad
- 4:55Speaker 1: about nobody on record. He was like, I dedicated my
- 4:57Speaker 1: career to this and I fucked with that, you know,
- 5:00Speaker 1: and then just the way that he did it, it it
- 5:01Speaker 1: was just yeah, his delivery. I feel like, you know,
- 5:03Speaker 1: we don't give enough props to sugar Free when it
- 5:05Speaker 1: comes to like how unique of an artist he was.
- 5:07Speaker 1: It's very charismatic, real conversational, you know, like and nobody
- 5:11Speaker 1: sounded like sugar Free ever. No, you know, like if
- 5:13Speaker 1: you think about like his era, there was nobody who
- 5:16Speaker 1: you could be like, like you could box him in
- 5:19Speaker 1: with right right, right, and it's so crazy. One of
- 5:21Speaker 1: one you hear certain people that got the influence. Like
- 5:23Speaker 1: I was in the studio and one take Jay and
- 5:25Speaker 1: I was just and I was listening to him. I'm
- 5:27Speaker 1: like I was telling the hummies. I'm like, damn me,
- 5:29Speaker 1: and won't take Jay rapped the same way, Like we
- 5:32Speaker 1: just do it different, but we both took his cadences.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Like when I was really listening to like a song,
- 5:38Speaker 1: I was like, damn, he raps the same way I would,
- 5:40Speaker 1: because what it is is it's a swing. So we're
- 5:43Speaker 1: not rapping directly on the one, you know, you might
- 5:45Speaker 1: be slightly before it or slightly talking to Free about that.
- 5:49Speaker 1: It's like certain people you hear that, so they might
- 5:52Speaker 1: say you sound off beat, but it's not really you know,
- 5:55Speaker 1: off beat, And that's like why blast beats are so smooth,
- 5:59Speaker 1: because the drums are hitting different. So if you wouldnad
- 6:02Speaker 1: your head like this to a certain song, now you
- 6:05Speaker 1: this way, because it's just a slightly different brood. So
- 6:08Speaker 1: I'll do that with the raps, but no like sugar
- 6:11Speaker 1: free shit man. I met him a couple of years ago.
- 6:14Speaker 1: I had popped up at this at this spot he
- 6:16Speaker 1: was performing at We'll go my way backstage or whatever,
- 6:20Speaker 1: you know, introduced myself and was just letting him know
- 6:22Speaker 1: what he meant to me. I got cool with one
- 6:24Speaker 1: of one of his artists, pomon the Dirt. Shout out
- 6:27Speaker 1: Pomona Dirt, but we stayed kind of tapped in on
- 6:30Speaker 1: the ground, so they were doing something else. I popped
- 6:33Speaker 1: up there. Pomona Dirt took me to the little backstage
- 6:35Speaker 1: area so I got to you know, chop it with
- 6:38Speaker 1: Fred again. But that was like twenty eighteen. I hadn't
- 6:42Speaker 1: physically seen him since, so it was crazy because when
- 6:46Speaker 1: he got to the studio, like you know, I got
- 6:48Speaker 1: these dark ass shades all right, right right, I had
- 6:50Speaker 1: these shits on in the booth and I was recording
- 6:52Speaker 1: with my eyes closed. I look up and this motherfuckers
- 6:55Speaker 1: then walked into the booth and I'm like, oh shit,
- 6:59Speaker 1: you know, nobody even told me. You know that he
- 7:01Speaker 1: was like there at the time. So I come out
- 7:03Speaker 1: there and he was like, man, I've been looking for you.
- 7:05Speaker 1: I've been looking for you for like two three years.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Like god damn, Like I would never think that, right,
- 7:10Speaker 1: you know. So he remembered you for meeting the backstage,
- 7:12Speaker 1: but he was like, I want to sign you. He's like,
- 7:15Speaker 1: I've been looking for you. That motherfucker telling me I've
- 7:18Speaker 1: been looking for you in the daytime with a flash,
- 7:19Speaker 1: like man, my lions. I you know what's crazy about
- 7:23Speaker 1: sugar Free is he's one of the only rappers who
- 7:26Speaker 1: when I met him, it was the exact like as
- 7:30Speaker 1: a kid if he told me I'd meet Sugar Food
- 7:32Speaker 1: one day, exactly what he was in Las Vegas at
- 7:36Speaker 1: the Planet Hollywood Miracle Mile Mall walking through the mall
- 7:40Speaker 1: with two females on leashes and he was performing that night.
- 7:44Speaker 1: It was like old school West Coast show was like
- 7:46Speaker 1: ice Cube, Snoop Too Short, like Sugar Free. He was
- 7:48Speaker 1: walking through the mall. He had two girls on leashes, bro,
- 7:51Speaker 1: And I was like, this is amazing, right, this is
- 7:55Speaker 1: exactly what I what I had hoped for when meeting
- 7:57Speaker 1: Sugar Free, Like, how about this is a yeah? Fuck
- 8:00Speaker 1: keep it suited and booted. I said, this is this
- 8:03Speaker 1: is incredible. I asked this sneak man, I said, I said,
- 8:09Speaker 1: I said, man, while you was like pimping, like full
- 8:11Speaker 1: fledged pimping, man, Like, how did you like like lock
- 8:16Speaker 1: in so heavy on your craft man and keep your
- 8:18Speaker 1: wrapsight because you stopped he stopped pimping after the first
- 8:21Speaker 1: album and all that ship, you know what I'm saying.
- 8:23Speaker 1: So he looked at me, bro, like I got to say,
- 8:27Speaker 1: if I didn't have shave his own, bro, I would
- 8:30Speaker 1: have folded. I'm talking about. He looked at me so cold,
- 8:33Speaker 1: like he was looking through me, right John and my lion. Bro.
- 8:36Speaker 1: That motherfucker he said, just like this, you know how
- 8:41Speaker 1: to walking to you bubba gum. At the same time,
- 8:47Speaker 1: I laughed like that right, He didn't say nothing. He
- 8:51Speaker 1: just kept looking at me. All right then all right
- 8:54Speaker 1: then I was like, oh shit, this motherfucker is for real. Damn.
- 9:00Speaker 1: He wasn't playing bro. He like he's stared through me.
- 9:04Speaker 1: And he said that it's so funny because I like,
- 9:06Speaker 1: I'll be in the car, like with my wife and
- 9:07Speaker 1: I'll be listening to sugar Free sometimes and she'll be
- 9:10Speaker 1: it so like, what the fuck are you listening? What
- 9:14Speaker 1: is this guy saying? Like it's crazy because like it's unfortunate,
- 9:17Speaker 1: like like sugar Free couldn't exist in twenty twenty one.
- 9:22Speaker 1: He gets fucking canceled. Man, Man, they'd be like, what
- 9:26Speaker 1: by my ex she knew, like she got in my
- 9:30Speaker 1: car she heard the sugar Free I'm not fucking with you.
- 9:32Speaker 1: I used to cut that shit on. Let her know,
- 9:34Speaker 1: like I'm not. That's great. That's how you put somebody
- 9:38Speaker 1: under conviction. You cut that free on. Man, you throw
- 9:40Speaker 1: that sugar Free on. Like, listen, listen, man, listen better
- 9:43Speaker 1: listen to these words, listen to these lyrics. Nah, y'all.
- 9:45Speaker 1: But I love sugar Free. Like I told him at
- 9:48Speaker 1: the end of the night when he was like, man,
- 9:49Speaker 1: thanks for having me, you know it. Just love appreciate you.
- 9:52Speaker 1: And I was just saying to him, I'm like, man, dog,
- 9:53Speaker 1: I owe you, man, like taking your style. I was
- 9:56Speaker 1: able to go get a deal and provide for myself
- 9:58Speaker 1: and my family. That's incredible and that's just the Also
- 10:01Speaker 1: the fact that you're very like you pay homage to him,
- 10:03Speaker 1: because a lot of people they don't have the humility
- 10:06Speaker 1: to do such as right he said, he was like, man,
- 10:08Speaker 1: he was like, I fuck with the fact you said
- 10:09Speaker 1: it in front of you know, all your boys. I'm like, nah,
- 10:11Speaker 1: they all know. I love you, man, Like you know,
- 10:13Speaker 1: everybody know. I ain't ashamed of that. Like I just seen.
- 10:16Speaker 1: I was talking to g Perico on Sunday and I
- 10:19Speaker 1: was telling him some things about him that I super
- 10:21Speaker 1: fuck with. And any artists that that I'm a real
- 10:25Speaker 1: fan of that I really fuck with, like like my
- 10:28Speaker 1: boy will tell you. I was in there with Dom
- 10:29Speaker 1: and I was saying, like, dog, I warn't my hats
- 10:31Speaker 1: the way I war on because of you. I'm not
- 10:32Speaker 1: one of them rappers that's too cool to give up.
- 10:35Speaker 1: To give up. If you see somebody and you fuck
- 10:37Speaker 1: with it, you let him fuck you, let him know
- 10:39Speaker 1: that you fuck with it. Me and Mike and Me
- 10:41Speaker 1: and Mike from Mike and Keys, we was we was
- 10:43Speaker 1: talking about Supreme because I'm really into you know, superb ship.
- 10:47Speaker 1: So we was talking about it and we was like, man,
- 10:48Speaker 1: you know, the first motherfucker we were seeing in that
- 10:50Speaker 1: ship was Casey Veggie's Facts. But I'm like yeah, I
- 10:53Speaker 1: was like, bro, Casey was one of the the first
- 10:55Speaker 1: young fly dudes. Like yeah, people, people don't give you know,
- 10:58Speaker 1: Casey enough credit when it comes to like what him
- 11:01Speaker 1: and and what were doing like twenty thirteen, twenty fourteen
- 11:05Speaker 1: and just that whole movement when it came to like
- 11:07Speaker 1: the fashion and like right, you know. So we was
- 11:10Speaker 1: talking about that shit and then Casey pop up at
- 11:12Speaker 1: the spot where was at. So I was telling I
- 11:14Speaker 1: was like, nah, yeah, I remember, you know, because I
- 11:17Speaker 1: started quoting these lyrics to him from this this shit.
- 11:19Speaker 1: He had caught the Pennies back in the day. So
- 11:21Speaker 1: I rapped it to him. He's he laughing rapping it
- 11:23Speaker 1: with me and shit, and I was like, yeah, I
- 11:25Speaker 1: remember the video. You had them brown and purple the
- 11:27Speaker 1: Supreme Timberling joints. So it was like damn, like I
- 11:30Speaker 1: for sure did. I'm like yeah, but like I'm I
- 11:33Speaker 1: know I could rap, bro, Like you know what I'm saying, Like,
- 11:35Speaker 1: I know I could rap. I know what I'm gonna be.
- 11:37Speaker 1: I know where I'm going, I know where I'm headed,
- 11:39Speaker 1: but I don't I don't feel no way letting the
- 11:41Speaker 1: motherfucking know like hey, nah, I fuck with you or
- 11:43Speaker 1: at this specific time, there's certain shit you did inspire
- 11:45Speaker 1: me be cause I mean, like that's important, man, because
- 11:49Speaker 1: at the end of the day, like I'm confident in myself,
- 11:51Speaker 1: nobody is. Nobody got to where they are in whatever
- 11:55Speaker 1: field you're doing. And when it comes to art, you
- 11:57Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. Without without having people who inspire
- 12:00Speaker 1: then right and to act otherwise, it's crazy. Right. Yeah,
- 12:03Speaker 1: don't get me wrong. We get on the court, you
- 12:05Speaker 1: know what I mean, I'm still going of course, Yeah,
- 12:07Speaker 1: but you gotta give it. Like it's like bro like
- 12:08Speaker 1: of course, like even like me, like you know, the
- 12:10Speaker 1: first time I'm at Big Boy or you know, it's
- 12:14Speaker 1: like yo, like you're I grew up like listening to you.
- 12:18Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, Like this is like crazy
- 12:20Speaker 1: that I know you now. I still yeah, but it's
- 12:23Speaker 1: like dude, like you're a fucking legend, Like thank you
- 12:26Speaker 1: for everything you've done for industry. Yeah, Like I'm here
- 12:32Speaker 1: because you know, like you know what I mean like
- 12:34Speaker 1: so I always try to do that, especially with like,
- 12:36Speaker 1: you know, certain radio dudes like who you know. You know,
- 12:41Speaker 1: I kind of came up doing like an underground hip
- 12:43Speaker 1: hop specialty show, right, but that came from Friday Night Flavors,
- 12:47Speaker 1: which was on a Powerwan six with mister Chalk and
- 12:49Speaker 1: those guys and uh you know that they kind of
- 12:53Speaker 1: and and when I met Sway, I was like, dude,
- 12:56Speaker 1: like I used to buy the Swaying King Tech Freestyle
- 12:59Speaker 1: CDs and like you guys are like what I wanted
- 13:02Speaker 1: to be. I wanted to just play underground rap music.
- 13:05Speaker 1: But about that is when you give somebody their flowers
- 13:09Speaker 1: like that a lot of time, it's some game that
- 13:11Speaker 1: come back with it, for sure, Like you learned a lot. Yeah,
- 13:14Speaker 1: like Sway, Bro. Sway was like, you know, as a
- 13:16Speaker 1: kid man, you know, I listened to the wake Up
- 13:19Speaker 1: Show every weekend, and you know, to have a relationship
- 13:22Speaker 1: with him, it's crazy, you know what I mean, be like, damn,
- 13:23Speaker 1: I know Sway right, And then he gave it up
- 13:26Speaker 1: to me, brought me in head on his show and
- 13:28Speaker 1: was like we're the gatekeepers of the West. I was like, Damn,
- 13:31Speaker 1: this is crazy. Someone should pinch me right now? But
- 13:34Speaker 1: I saw that video and I figured I said that
- 13:36Speaker 1: in the rap. I'm sending that to sugar Free, like
- 13:39Speaker 1: should a dream somebody pinched me? Yep. I had to
- 13:42Speaker 1: put that in the verse because I really, you know, like, damn, nah, man,
- 13:45Speaker 1: that's big because I know you. You know, it's evident,
- 13:47Speaker 1: like how big of influence is on you? And then
- 13:49Speaker 1: you and I talked, you know, four or five months ago,
- 13:52Speaker 1: pulled up on me and I was like, yeah, man,
- 13:53Speaker 1: that's a big deal. That was dope. You got to
- 13:55Speaker 1: capture that moment, you know what I mean? Hey, interrupting

- 14:53Speaker 1: and Blast, you got a new record out. But like
- 14:55Speaker 1: you guys are very much rooted in this game together.
- 15:00Speaker 1: You know a lot of people who are just getting
- 15:03Speaker 1: up on Blast don't realize he's kind of like he's
- 15:07Speaker 1: not new. He's been a factor in the scene as
- 15:09Speaker 1: far as being a producer, engineer. I mean, he can
- 15:12Speaker 1: do it all. You know. He's kind of like LA's Russ,
- 15:16Speaker 1: but you know Russ always brags it. He mixes the
- 15:19Speaker 1: masters and records himself and makes the beat. I'm like, yo,
- 15:21Speaker 1: Blast is all that shit. I was saying, More like
- 15:23Speaker 1: he like a liked a new quick for sure, Nah
- 15:26Speaker 1: for sure, But like you guys got got it out
- 15:29Speaker 1: the mud together, and you had told me some stories
- 15:32Speaker 1: about like some early stuff with you and Blast. Will
- 15:33Speaker 1: kind of give me a background on how you guys
- 15:35Speaker 1: met and you guys just kind of come up. Has
- 15:38Speaker 1: been kind of synonymous, you know what I'm saying. I
- 15:40Speaker 1: met Blast. I went to school with his nephews, So,
- 15:44Speaker 1: like I was at school rapping and shit like that.
- 15:46Speaker 1: So I guess it was going on. Yeahs just do
- 15:48Speaker 1: it at the school, cash or whatever. So we were
- 15:51Speaker 1: working with some of the We were around some of
- 15:54Speaker 1: the same people early because his nephews were rapping and
- 15:59Speaker 1: it was this producer and Carson name named Joseph. He
- 16:01Speaker 1: went by stunning Bee. But I know Blast was like
- 16:03Speaker 1: recording shit at stunning Bee crib right. But like it
- 16:07Speaker 1: was like Christmas break of like two thousand eight, damn,
- 16:11Speaker 1: Like we had linked up at everybody had went up
- 16:14Speaker 1: to Calstate Domingus again from Carson, So everybody went to
- 16:17Speaker 1: cal State Dimingas was like having this football game and
- 16:20Speaker 1: Blast came up there with his nephews. That was my
- 16:22Speaker 1: first time. Oh wait, yeah I met Blash. Oh right,
- 16:25Speaker 1: that's a long time ago, man, Yeah, it's thirteen years ago. Yeah,
- 16:30Speaker 1: so at what point in time did you guys start
- 16:32Speaker 1: to have like a creative relationship where you guys started
- 16:35Speaker 1: to make music together. So we did a song back then.
- 16:40Speaker 1: I think I did my first song with Blast when
- 16:41Speaker 1: I was like sixteen. He had this, He sent me
- 16:44Speaker 1: this record. It was called Gohart. This was the first
- 16:48Speaker 1: the first song I ever deal with Blast was called Gohart.
- 16:50Speaker 1: So he sent it to me and I recorded it
- 16:52Speaker 1: at home and I sent it to him and he
- 16:55Speaker 1: was like, Yo, can you send me like the wayfil
- 16:58Speaker 1: I'm like, what the fuck is this? Nick? You know?
- 17:01Speaker 1: I found out later like the first person that put
- 17:03Speaker 1: him on like mixing and shit was Chris O'Bannon. O'Bannon
- 17:07Speaker 1: was around back then too, But yeah, so yeah, we
- 17:12Speaker 1: did that record back then. I don't even know if
- 17:15Speaker 1: that ship ever came out, But what ends up happening,
- 17:20Speaker 1: I want to say. I always just was seeing them around,
- 17:24Speaker 1: like going to different ship, like leaving parties and coming
- 17:27Speaker 1: to the Dennis and Carson and seeing him in the
- 17:30Speaker 1: Homie PJ there and just going out to spots and
- 17:33Speaker 1: running into him. And then I had did the La Cipher,
- 17:37Speaker 1: which was breezy in the street ship and Blast was
- 17:40Speaker 1: doing all the beats for it, et cetera. So I
- 17:42Speaker 1: went up there and I did it, and I won,
- 17:45Speaker 1: and so like one of the prize was like you
- 17:48Speaker 1: do a session with Blast and Blast does the beat
- 17:50Speaker 1: or whatever something like that. So I had pulled up
- 17:54Speaker 1: and I recorded with him. But at the time, I
- 17:58Speaker 1: was recording with this dude named Kytel, which is Reasons engineer.
- 18:02Speaker 1: So I had a session. But the day I had
- 18:05Speaker 1: the session with Kytel, he told me his studio burned
- 18:08Speaker 1: down Jesus. So I asked Blast, because I come and
- 18:10Speaker 1: record the record with him. I was doing a verse
- 18:14Speaker 1: for my homeboy from my neighborhood castone. So I pulled
- 18:18Speaker 1: up over there, I did the record with Blast, and
- 18:20Speaker 1: I just started recording with Blast on the regular after that.
- 18:23Speaker 1: So this was I want to say, twenty sixteen maybe,
- 18:30Speaker 1: So you guys are kind of reconnected around like we
- 18:32Speaker 1: were seeing each other like all right, created each other creatively,
- 18:36Speaker 1: you guys stride around. We started we started back like
- 18:40Speaker 1: being around each other like on the regular, like twenty sixteen.
- 18:44Speaker 1: So I was over there like we was in the
- 18:46Speaker 1: studio with each other every day, just moving around and
- 18:51Speaker 1: then yeah shit, Blast was I think when I trying
- 18:59Speaker 1: to think, I did a Yeah, we did a song.
- 19:03Speaker 1: We did a song called a called signing Off. I
- 19:06Speaker 1: remember I sent the record to Blast and I was
- 19:09Speaker 1: out to eat and I was like out of garden
- 19:11Speaker 1: and I got the verse back I heard. I went
- 19:13Speaker 1: in the car. I mean, I went to the bathroom.
- 19:15Speaker 1: I'm listening to the play, like, oh shit, this like
- 19:17Speaker 1: he was a rap verse Like Blast, I rapped on
- 19:19Speaker 1: a song, but not only did he rap on it.
- 19:22Speaker 1: I was making my own beats at the time. In Blast,
- 19:24Speaker 1: I did additional production on the record. I was like,
- 19:26Speaker 1: oh shit, like that added something to it. So there
- 19:29Speaker 1: and other records I was doing, I was sending Blast
- 19:31Speaker 1: to you know here what you got for this one?
- 19:34Speaker 1: Right right right? So it just became like a that's
- 19:37Speaker 1: fire man, but yeah, Blast, my boy. A lot of
- 19:40Speaker 1: people like I got. I was telling you off the camera,
- 19:42Speaker 1: like I got a d M. When Priority dropped. Motherfucker
- 19:45Speaker 1: asked me like, how about you pay for the future? Man?
- 19:47Speaker 1: How did you get a Blast future and how much
- 19:49Speaker 1: did you pay for it? And I was just like, damn,
- 19:51Speaker 1: like that's crazy. You know, I'd be having to remember though,
- 19:54Speaker 1: Blast is bro in life right now, you know what
- 19:58Speaker 1: I'm saying. So a lot of people that don't, that
- 20:00Speaker 1: don't know the history, they they'll never know, Like Okay,
- 20:03Speaker 1: well shit like this is actually my boy, Like we
- 20:05Speaker 1: didn't actually did each things for each other, et cetera.
- 20:08Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. But now you're a fucking blast.
- 20:10Speaker 1: That's like one of my my friends. It's not really
- 20:12Speaker 1: like a rap right now. It's it's a friendship for sure.
- 20:15Speaker 1: I know broke parents, Like he met mine right right,
- 20:19Speaker 1: that's wild man. You know he's scorching right now. How
- 20:21Speaker 1: this nigga in LA? For sure, I would say on
- 20:24Speaker 1: the West Coast, I'll give him that too, you know
- 20:26Speaker 1: what I'm saying, Like I mean, I mean he's definitely
- 20:31Speaker 1: in that conversation. Uh yeah, for sure. You've met like
- 20:35Speaker 1: you always are like taking photos with like legends, so
- 20:39Speaker 1: like you'll be in the studio with like Snoop or Dre,
- 20:42Speaker 1: you know, like like, uh, talk to me about like
- 20:46Speaker 1: meeting Dre and you know obviously you know that has
- 20:50Speaker 1: gotta be uh. I mean there's I've never met Draft,
- 20:54Speaker 1: never met Hove. I can imagine like meeting either one
- 20:57Speaker 1: of those two guys would be just like, yeah, I
- 20:59Speaker 1: never met Ja, but those are the two guys I
- 21:01Speaker 1: always thinking, like, man if because I met Kanye when
- 21:03Speaker 1: I was like sixteen, but never mad. Yeah, Dre or
- 21:07Speaker 1: Hove would be crazy. But like you actually been in
- 21:10Speaker 1: the studio with Dre more than once. I've been to
- 21:12Speaker 1: doctor Dre's house. You've been to his house, into his house.
- 21:15Speaker 1: We just got a thousand pair of white air Force one.
- 21:18Speaker 1: But like I went on a tour in doctor Dre house.
- 21:22Speaker 1: He like showing you like long ass swimming pool, like
- 21:25Speaker 1: his gym, like he hitting the speed bag and shit,
- 21:28Speaker 1: and I heard his studios and saying in his house
- 21:31Speaker 1: yeah yeah, yeah that was crazy. So my first time pulled,
- 21:35Speaker 1: I went to the UH to the studio in his crib.
- 21:40Speaker 1: So when I posted pictures in the studio with Dre,
- 21:42Speaker 1: I was I was at his house. That's fire. So
- 21:44Speaker 1: how was like? How was that man like and crazy?
- 21:48Speaker 1: What was the conversations like with Dre? Did you play
- 21:50Speaker 1: in many music? Yeah? I did. I played the music.
- 21:52Speaker 1: I definitely did, but shit, man, the conversation was super
- 21:56Speaker 1: crazy because I'm like, man, I got my daughter was
- 21:58Speaker 1: on the way and I getting dad advice from Doctor
- 22:01Speaker 1: Dre and ship like that, and that shit was just
- 22:03Speaker 1: like damn, that's big no wow, but another pinch me moment.
- 22:09Speaker 1: Well yeah not yeah, I played on music. But it's
- 22:11Speaker 1: crazy because like when we got in there, like he
- 22:13Speaker 1: was in there with d OC, like Fred rec was there,
- 22:17Speaker 1: like it was like some real his team. There was
- 22:19Speaker 1: some real shit going on. So Fuzzy was like, you know,
- 22:24Speaker 1: you want to want to play some records and he
- 22:26Speaker 1: was like yeah. He kept saying like the mic is
- 22:28Speaker 1: hot because they was they was writing, so he was
- 22:31Speaker 1: saying like basically, he wasn't about to let me press
- 22:34Speaker 1: play until you know, we did something. I want to
- 22:37Speaker 1: see what he could do. He just kept saying that.
- 22:39Speaker 1: So I watched him. He went up to the boot.
- 22:42Speaker 1: I mean, he went up to the mic and he
- 22:46Speaker 1: was laying just like melody I guess you would say, right,
- 22:51Speaker 1: So he was he was mumbling and there was like
- 22:54Speaker 1: halfway words there. So what I did was like Fuzzy
- 22:57Speaker 1: kept saying like you're ready, You're ready. So I sat
- 22:59Speaker 1: in the back and I put words to the mumbles.
- 23:05Speaker 1: So I went up to when I when I finally
- 23:07Speaker 1: walked up to the mic, it was it was like
- 23:10Speaker 1: eight bars because I had filled in every other thing
- 23:13Speaker 1: he did, so it was it was like instant respect.
- 23:18Speaker 1: That's fire. And also the fact that like no one's
- 23:22Speaker 1: ever gonna hear what you did because because because we
- 23:26Speaker 1: been waiting for the Detoks since I was I wasn't
- 23:28Speaker 1: old enough to drink. It's crazy though, because certain things
- 23:31Speaker 1: carry over, because that was the day where I found
- 23:33Speaker 1: out not to timestamp music because I was he was saying,
- 23:39Speaker 1: I took the mumbles and I put words to him right,
- 23:42Speaker 1: and it's so crazy. If Fuzzy with here, he would
- 23:44Speaker 1: tell you I set a line and he reacted to
- 23:46Speaker 1: it while I was recording, and that's what stopped me
- 23:48Speaker 1: from recording. So the last line, I was fitting his
- 23:53Speaker 1: mumbles and I said, back up off me, bitch, social
- 23:55Speaker 1: distance and he was like, oh, ship like because he's
- 23:58Speaker 1: looking at me like I'm coming off there off the
- 24:00Speaker 1: top of the head. But he was like, man, that's
- 24:02Speaker 1: shit hard. We got to change it though, because it's
- 24:05Speaker 1: gonna make it time related to this era. Yeah, So
- 24:09Speaker 1: that's some real ship though. When I learned that, and
- 24:10Speaker 1: you never know like that at the end of the day,
- 24:13Speaker 1: you know, with dre we just never know what's gonna happen.
- 24:16Speaker 1: Like one day we might wake up and we actually
- 24:18Speaker 1: might have a doctor, Dre. I mean we I didn't
- 24:20Speaker 1: expect the Compton album to come out. Now, Yeah I heard,
- 24:22Speaker 1: I heard some ship. I'm like, he's definitely no. I mean,
- 24:25Speaker 1: I know he's always working, but it made me like
- 24:28Speaker 1: feel like I wasn't doing enough. Yeah. Bro, he's accomplished everything,
- 24:32Speaker 1: and I'm like, damn, he got all these records, just
- 24:34Speaker 1: really in here, just going crazy. So I went that night.
- 24:37Speaker 1: I went that night, and then we doubled back and
- 24:39Speaker 1: came back again. And it was dope because I we went.
- 24:42Speaker 1: It was like, uh, Lakers in Miami and watching the game,
- 24:47Speaker 1: Oh the finals, right, So Kovo was there Anderson Pack
- 24:51Speaker 1: was there. So I ended up. Uh they were they
- 24:53Speaker 1: were working on the record and I got to right
- 24:55Speaker 1: on another record with them. Also, that's huge here in
- 24:58Speaker 1: the circle. That's been man doing the same ship. So
- 25:01Speaker 1: so Dre was cool though. That looked cool. It Bro
- 25:05Speaker 1: trimmed me out. I'm telling the hummies, I'm like, man,
- 25:07Speaker 1: because none of my homeboys call me Jason. Like, if
- 25:10Speaker 1: the honey call me Jason, you're trying to be funny
- 25:12Speaker 1: or like you knew me like on some other ship,
- 25:14Speaker 1: but like everybody cost me cash. I don't like it's
- 25:18Speaker 1: weird because if you know me as Jason and call
- 25:20Speaker 1: me Jason, if you know me as Cash and call
- 25:22Speaker 1: me that. But yeah, he was like, what you think
- 25:26Speaker 1: about that, Jason? I ain't about to tell that straight up?
- 25:29Speaker 1: Oh ship, he calling me Jason, that's crazy, that's so crazy.
- 25:33Speaker 1: And then Snoop is just man, Bro, Snoop is uh.
- 25:37Speaker 1: I've I've hung out with Snoop and smoke with him
- 25:39Speaker 1: once and he was like the nicest dude. He was
- 25:43Speaker 1: just the whole vibe he was. He was in his
- 25:45Speaker 1: green room playing like oldies on his like DJ controller,
- 25:49Speaker 1: getting high, getting his hair done. It was like it
- 25:51Speaker 1: was like another guy who I met, and I was like,
- 25:54Speaker 1: this is this is about what I expected from Snoop
- 25:56Speaker 1: is amazing. Yeah, Man, he just Snoopy super super Yeah.
- 26:02Speaker 1: I just like forget just how listen Snoop Dogg really
- 26:06Speaker 1: like deal he is like the way he acts. Snoop
- 26:08Speaker 1: changed my life. Man. Doggy Style was the first rap
- 26:10Speaker 1: album that I really like fell in love with. I
- 26:12Speaker 1: was five years old, Bro, and my grandma remember back
- 26:16Speaker 1: in the day in the magazines used to be able
- 26:18Speaker 1: to get like ten ten seeds like the dollar. So
- 26:21Speaker 1: she got a Doggy Style on tape by accident, and
- 26:25Speaker 1: it was my grandma's old as fuck, so it was
- 26:27Speaker 1: like a cartoon on the cover. So she gave it
- 26:30Speaker 1: to me. I fucking bro I had that like literally,
- 26:33Speaker 1: I like like knew that whole album like front to
- 26:35Speaker 1: back in kindergarten year and then my mom heard me
- 26:38Speaker 1: listening to it and she took it and hit it,
- 26:40Speaker 1: and then I found it. My favorite Snoop song is
- 26:43Speaker 1: definitely on that album. Which song is it? Oh? Yeah,
- 26:46Speaker 1: it's fucking amazing. Yeah. I actually think Doggy Style is
- 26:50Speaker 1: a top three or four album of all time, and
- 26:52Speaker 1: I think it's it's my personal favorite album to ever
- 26:55Speaker 1: come out of the West Coast. It's my number one.
- 26:58Speaker 1: I mean, obviously, you know there's other ones in that conversation,
- 27:00Speaker 1: but for me, it's it's the all your style, man.
- 27:03Speaker 1: That's that's definitely up there. I put dog Your Style
- 27:06Speaker 1: over everything ever. Come. I'm not I'm not mad at that.
- 27:10Speaker 1: Ye're just for me for me, you know, Yeah, I
- 27:12Speaker 1: mean that's I always I always like to leave with
- 27:15Speaker 1: the for me, Like, I Uh, when I sat down
- 27:18Speaker 1: with Big Boy, I was talking about Kendrick, I'm like
- 27:19Speaker 1: my goat. He was like, why you call him yo go?
- 27:21Speaker 1: I said, because can't nobody tell me it's not my
- 27:23Speaker 1: go He's your goat? And like, for the record, even me,
- 27:26Speaker 1: like I always I have Kendrick in my top five
- 27:29Speaker 1: and people always give me ship and I'm like, yo, man, Like,
- 27:31Speaker 1: if you could put Biggie in your top five off
- 27:33Speaker 1: a two albums, right, he put out two albums, right
- 27:37Speaker 1: and then he passed away. If you could put him
- 27:39Speaker 1: in your top five off of two fucking albums Kendrick has.
- 27:42Speaker 1: If we're and I'm not even counting section eighty, Kendrick
- 27:45Speaker 1: Amari p overly dedicated, I'm not talking about none of that.
- 27:49Speaker 1: If we're just talking about just the albums, just the
- 27:54Speaker 1: I mean, come on, man, let's and even take untitled
- 27:57Speaker 1: the out of the discussion. We're talking those three albums.
- 28:01Speaker 1: Come on, man, it's three for three. He's working on
- 28:04Speaker 1: one of the best discography's ever right now. And the
- 28:07Speaker 1: section eighty is a classic in my opinion. Sure yeah,
- 28:10Speaker 1: Kendrick stopblem Kendrick Lamar E. P O. D. Like over
- 28:13Speaker 1: the dedicated pussy in Petron. Come on, man, man, have
- 28:17Speaker 1: souls on that thing. Man, Carson in the house, shout
- 28:20Speaker 1: out to Apps, So shout out to Carson. What I
- 28:22Speaker 1: mean obviously, you know coming out of Carson like Appsoles like, uh,
- 28:25Speaker 1: you know, Ashole rass cast. Shout out to Bishop Lamont, man,
- 28:30Speaker 1: Bishop Lamont had some ship Brandy Ray j reason yeah,
- 28:34Speaker 1: and cash chasing, I mean ship a hell of a
- 28:36Speaker 1: a hell of a boy meach play pocket all eves
- 28:39Speaker 1: on me. You know, Oh ship fire ship Carson. That's
- 28:44Speaker 1: that's yeah. Man. Shout out to Carson, like how how
- 28:46Speaker 1: I mean obviously, like Carson is kind of probably one
- 28:49Speaker 1: of the more like lesser known LA areas, you know
- 28:52Speaker 1: when it comes to just like nationwide and when out
- 28:54Speaker 1: all the time. Yeah, I think it's important man, because
- 28:57Speaker 1: I go out of town, they like, where are you from?
- 28:59Speaker 1: Like I'm saying from LA but I'm from La County.
- 29:01Speaker 1: I'm not from the city of Los Angeles. You're from
- 29:03Speaker 1: the city of Carson. From the city of Carson. And
- 29:05Speaker 1: then when I stayd from Carson, I gotta say, yeah,
- 29:06Speaker 1: it's between Compton and Long Beach. Is like nah, I
- 29:09Speaker 1: want to get to a point where motherfucker be like,
- 29:11Speaker 1: where you from from Carson? Oh yeah, okay, I mean
- 29:14Speaker 1: that's what Snoop did when he came in. Nobody knows
- 29:16Speaker 1: about Long Beach. People tell me about that. Ye. People
- 29:20Speaker 1: would just be like, yeah, from LA, that's from Long
- 29:23Speaker 1: Beach and you knew it, right, That's all my first single.
- 29:25Speaker 1: All I know. I said, you got to crrack the
- 29:26Speaker 1: door like Uncle Snoop did, put your whole city on.
- 29:28Speaker 1: That's the blueprint. Snoop came through the east side, is
- 29:31Speaker 1: you know what I mean? The Twins. It was just
- 29:33Speaker 1: even just like just he would always it would always,
- 29:37Speaker 1: you would always just hear Long Beach from the chronic
- 29:41Speaker 1: like all the way to you know, like you said,
- 29:43Speaker 1: the east side of shit. But even like chronics all
- 29:45Speaker 1: you say, you knew where the fuck he was from, right,
- 29:47Speaker 1: And even the video the videos, nah, for sure, even
- 29:50Speaker 1: though some La shit. It's like everybody didn't pass through
- 29:52Speaker 1: Carson like you probably Yo, you gotta untie, your grandma,
- 29:55Speaker 1: somebody that lived in Carson. You went to the champagne
- 29:58Speaker 1: parties there and then it's like it TD Studios in Carson,
- 30:03Speaker 1: you know, like that's where that ship jumped off, which
- 30:06Speaker 1: is crazy. When I when I played I had I
- 30:09Speaker 1: had a record called Carson in the House, I played
- 30:11Speaker 1: it for Doctor Dre and he was just like, yo,
- 30:12Speaker 1: I lived in Carson for a year. He was like,
- 30:14Speaker 1: and my mom had a store in the Carson mall
- 30:16Speaker 1: like that. He stopped me halfway through the song to
- 30:18Speaker 1: tell me that. And I was talking to Snooper about it,
- 30:21Speaker 1: and he was like, you know, back in the day,
- 30:23Speaker 1: like you know, used to tell a girl that you
- 30:25Speaker 1: from Carson because it's like they known for having a
- 30:28Speaker 1: nice houses and shit like that. It's like their family
- 30:31Speaker 1: look at you like okay, he cool. No, but a
- 30:34Speaker 1: lot of people didn't pass through Carson and have some
- 30:37Speaker 1: type of you know, connection to it. And even like
- 30:39Speaker 1: with Compton being so big, it's like, bro, we only
- 30:44Speaker 1: separated by the ninety one freeway. Like that's literally we cousins.
- 30:48Speaker 1: Shout out to all the Simons too, from Carson. Yeah, yeah,
- 30:51Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying from Carson. Yeah, but y'all
- 30:53Speaker 1: tried to oh, forgive me charged my mind, not my heart. Yeah,
- 30:57Speaker 1: but y'all tried Carson inflections as well. Man, how did
- 31:01Speaker 1: you getting shot change your life? Realize this shit is real,
- 31:07Speaker 1: because that's shit could be over, Like yeah, man, because
- 31:10Speaker 1: you know I've been I mean, I've never been shot,
- 31:12Speaker 1: but I got into a really bad accident, and it
- 31:15Speaker 1: was very like just to know, like, oh yeah, because
- 31:18Speaker 1: it's not so much to getting shot is just face
- 31:20Speaker 1: some mortality like period, right, just knowing you could be
- 31:23Speaker 1: up out of here. It just it just changes the
- 31:26Speaker 1: way that you look at life because you go to
- 31:28Speaker 1: sleep thinking Tomorrow's promise. You always think that you think, yeah,
- 31:32Speaker 1: we grow up a certain way where it's like, yeah,
- 31:33Speaker 1: we're so like you know what I mean. I think
- 31:35Speaker 1: we grew up in an era where it's like, you know,
- 31:38Speaker 1: we got good medicine, we had to deal with Yeah,
- 31:41Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. But for the most part,
- 31:43Speaker 1: it's like, you know, this shit could really be over
- 31:47Speaker 1: and there's nothing you can do about it. Did it
- 31:50Speaker 1: make you like move any differently? Did it make you
- 31:52Speaker 1: just to change anything that you did as far as
- 31:54Speaker 1: just like I mean, yeah, naturally, But I always say,
- 31:57Speaker 1: like for me, like getting shot, I was in the
- 32:00Speaker 1: wrong place at the wrong time, So I probably would
- 32:02Speaker 1: feel about it different if it was somebody actually looking
- 32:04Speaker 1: for Jason or somebody like they weren't like teaking you out. Yeah,
- 32:09Speaker 1: Like if it was that, then you know what I mean,
- 32:11Speaker 1: I probably move even way more different. But it's just
- 32:14Speaker 1: like that's just some la shit, Like you might just
- 32:17Speaker 1: get caught like a bad place at a bad time,
- 32:21Speaker 1: wrong place, wrong time, and it could just be up
- 32:23Speaker 1: like that. But nah, definitely definitely become a lot more cautious,
- 32:28Speaker 1: mindful of you know what I mean, like where you're
- 32:31Speaker 1: at or who knows where you're at, or just how
- 32:35Speaker 1: you move, especially now you know you get the new
- 32:38Speaker 1: baby and you know things that you got a lot
- 32:40Speaker 1: more to live for man, right, and then you know
- 32:43Speaker 1: everybody ain't happy for you. Most people aren't happy for
- 32:46Speaker 1: you that are from where you're from. Like I feel like,
- 32:49Speaker 1: you know, most of the people who hate my guts
- 32:52Speaker 1: are because like they didn't make it out of where
- 32:54Speaker 1: I'm from. Like you know what I'm saying, Like my
- 32:56Speaker 1: biggest haters in the world are in my hometown. Yeah,
- 32:59Speaker 1: of course, I feel like, you know, obviously you're gonna
- 33:01Speaker 1: have people happy for you, but like your biggest haters
- 33:03Speaker 1: usually are from your hometown. I get a lot of
- 33:06Speaker 1: love at home. I mean, that's important, But I just mean,
- 33:09Speaker 1: like in general, like you know, like there's probably like
- 33:11Speaker 1: five or six people who are so envious of your success.
- 33:15Speaker 1: The scary part about that is the people that feel
- 33:17Speaker 1: that way, like you never know it, You'll never know.
- 33:19Speaker 1: You might see them and they hug you and they
- 33:21Speaker 1: tell you how much they fuck with you, so you
- 33:24Speaker 1: you would never know it. So I always, you know, like,
- 33:27Speaker 1: I ain't funny style, so I you know, it's I'm cool,
- 33:30Speaker 1: but I kind of try to stick to just, you know,
- 33:34Speaker 1: my comfort because I don't even want to put myself
- 33:38Speaker 1: in a position where I have to find out how
- 33:40Speaker 1: somebody really feel about me. That's some real shit. Man.
- 33:43Speaker 1: I gotta get home. I know you got some new
- 33:46Speaker 1: music coming out with Buddy soon. Is there gonna be
- 33:49Speaker 1: a mixtape album? Are we just putting out songs right now?
- 33:52Speaker 1: We drop heating it up? Dropping singles, heating it up?
- 33:55Speaker 1: Getting ready? You know, I gotta finalize this EP, figure
- 33:59Speaker 1: this track lists out with something. Well, you know, I
- 34:01Speaker 1: heard a record that you and Simba have called west
- 34:04Speaker 1: Side Griselda that was supposed to be on his album
- 34:06Speaker 1: and it didn't end up on his album because sample issues,
- 34:09Speaker 1: right that song ever gonna come out. I don't know. Yeah,
- 34:13Speaker 1: that would have been nice to that shit was fire,
- 34:16Speaker 1: I don't know. I got another record with Simber though, yeah,
- 34:20Speaker 1: the West Side Griselda. Those crazy You ain't hurt this
- 34:22Speaker 1: other one though. I was for you all right man?
- 34:24Speaker 1: But now yeah, what's Si Grizelta? Was? I mean, is crazy?
- 34:28Speaker 1: I got my deal off West Side Griselda. Well there
- 34:31Speaker 1: it is. Yeah, Well look man, the show we did
- 34:34Speaker 1: that record when it got mixed, I mean when Dallas
- 34:39Speaker 1: just first heard it, or even just my production company,
- 34:42Speaker 1: Start Island. I think when Donnie heard it was just
- 34:44Speaker 1: like what the fuck is this? I remember Fuzzy hearing
- 34:46Speaker 1: it is just the reaction everywhere. Matter of fact, I
- 34:50Speaker 1: played that's the first So I played a record for doctors, right,
- 34:53Speaker 1: the first one, right, the first song I played I
- 34:56Speaker 1: keep it on Hunted. Like the reaction was like it
- 34:59Speaker 1: was cool right and you know too, yeah it was.
- 35:01Speaker 1: It was like it wasn't like oh I don't funk
- 35:04Speaker 1: with this or I super fuck with it, but it
- 35:06Speaker 1: was like that's cool. Yeah, he wasn't just like overly impressed.
- 35:09Speaker 1: I played West Side Griselda. I get through my verse.
- 35:14Speaker 1: The motherfucker go start that ship over, walks up to
- 35:19Speaker 1: the to the board, cuts up everything, like cuts up everything.
- 35:24Speaker 1: He got them big speakers. Oh my god, I heard
- 35:27Speaker 1: his speakers. Are fucking crazy there, dog like, I'm playing
- 35:30Speaker 1: this ship again. I'm going I'm going through it. He's
- 35:33Speaker 1: standing behind me, going going up l a going like this.
- 35:37Speaker 1: He's like, yeah, Cash, fuck with this ship. That's so crazy.
- 35:41Speaker 1: That was west Side. Griselda played that ship. Put the
- 35:44Speaker 1: fucking song out, man, what's the point of Atlantic? Can
- 35:47Speaker 1: we get some samples clear for sake Jesus. Anyway, look, man,
- 35:52Speaker 1: be on the lookout. Go support the record you got.
- 35:54Speaker 1: You got two songs out priority with Blast. Yeah, all
