- 0:28Hey everybody, good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:31So we're going to wrap up our little week here of creativity
- 0:36with a quote from the famous Maya Angelou, one of my most
- 0:41favorite poets out there. You can't use up creativity.
- 0:46The more you use, the more you have what a great belief to
- 0:51adopt. This is not just a quote, my
- 0:54friends. This is a belief system to take
- 0:56on. This is something that is
- 0:58absolutely tremendous as a belief system.
- 1:02You can't use it up. It never goes away.
- 1:05It doesn't dry up. It actually grows the more you
- 1:09use it, the more you're cultivating it, the more you're
- 1:11moving it in a direction that says, hey, I am on path
- 1:16understanding. I've got this tremendous gift,
- 1:19as we talked about earlier in the week.
- 1:21And the more I use this gift, the more it gives me in the
- 1:24process. How powerful is that?
- 1:27I mean, it, it's, it's like believing, you know, if I go
- 1:30take a teaspoon of ocean water, the ocean doesn't look like I've
- 1:35taken it away. It, it just doesn't happen.
- 1:37And the more and more I use it, the more it grows, the more it
- 1:41flows. So for me, I've adopted this and
- 1:44I say the more I use it, the more it grows, the more it
- 1:48flows. Because I know as I start using
- 1:51it, it starts to come out. So it's kind of like the better
- 1:54you feel, the better you feel, the better you feel, the better
- 1:56you feel and you start to get in that zone and the zone is what's
- 2:02so important. And you create that zone
- 2:04yourself. No one can create that zone for
- 2:06you. Now recently I had a
- 2:08conversation with someone who said, well, I feel like I'm I
- 2:12can't get back in the zone. And they had been trying to do a
- 2:15lot of work, self reflection and getting themselves going on
- 2:20writing a book. And part of the struggle that
- 2:23sometimes we go through in the process is not only do we think
- 2:27we're not creative, lots of people believe that, but it's
- 2:31not true. Everyone is creative, just in
- 2:33different ways. And it comes out in all
- 2:36different, varies various ways. But the, the purpose of that
- 2:41comment was to say, you know, I, I just don't feel creative right
- 2:45now. And through some questioning,
- 2:48going back and forth in a dialogue, we discovered that he
- 2:53was basically spending a lot of time by himself because he was
- 2:57struggling in a different aspect of his business.
- 3:00So because he was spending so much time by himself, he wasn't
- 3:04tapping into anyone else's creativity.
- 3:06He wasn't tapping into anything that made sense outside of
- 3:10himself. So therefore the world kind of
- 3:13slowed down and he kept seeing being the problems, he kept
- 3:17feeling the problems. He kept recognizing all that,
- 3:21but not ever saying let me put that aside and let me go do
- 3:25something creative just a little bit just to break the barrier
- 3:30down. And for, and often times it can
- 3:34be physical creativity as well. So think of it this way.
- 3:39If somebody says, hey, you know, I'm not, I don't think I'm a
- 3:42creative person or I'm trying to do something creative and I'm
- 3:44stuck. You can also go and go to if you
- 3:47go to the gym and work out, you go to the gym, but you do
- 3:49exercises you don't normally do. You start doing different
- 3:53aspects of moving your body in a different way that breaks the
- 3:56pattern that starts to open it up and it says, OK, now my
- 4:00creativity is moving. Now I'm I'm getting myself
- 4:03moving because I'm trying something different.
- 4:05And I want you to recognize in this today what what that quote
- 4:11really means is you, you can put this to work in so many small
- 4:18ways. So even going in the gym and
- 4:21saying, OK, how can I do this workout different today?
- 4:23What can I add to my workout? That's creativity.
- 4:26That's that's creativity being utilized.
- 4:30And the more you do those little things, the more everything else
- 4:34changes. So adopting that belief is going
- 4:38to change everything for you, and seeing it in everything lets
- 4:44you have more of an experience with it to feel like you can tap
- 4:47into it. So if someone says to me, have
- 4:51you been create creative lately, I can always answer yes.
- 4:55Because it doesn't matter if it's something silly like every
- 4:58morning, I feed the girls these breakfast platters.
- 5:01Sometimes it's leftover, sometimes it's shredded
- 5:04zucchinis that we do. Sometimes it's yogurt, it's
- 5:07cucumbers, bananas, it's always bananas because they go crazy
- 5:11for bananas. Sometimes they make them oatmeal
- 5:13pasta. Point is, I do something
- 5:16different all the time and I bring it out to them.
- 5:18And that's a form of starting my day off in my happy place, being
- 5:22creative with just making chickens breakfast platters.
- 5:25And as silly as that sounds, it's stimulating creativity.
- 5:29Always coming up with podcasts every day, stimulating
- 5:33creativity. So go look for your little
- 5:36creative pieces and remember, the more you use it, the more it
- 5:40grows and you can just engulf yourself with it and really feel
- 5:45inspired and fabulous in your life.
- 5:49All right my friends, I hope you have a blessed day and I will
- 5:51see you all tomorrow. Bye.
