- 0:49SPEAKER_00: Yuck.
- 0:50SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: Okay, today's kind of a fun episode, and I'm kind of scared to do it.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: We're talking about.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: We are doing the crap.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: What would you do?
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: So we'll give each other different scenarios, and we have to answer on the spot what we would do is now.
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: Honestly and accurately as possible.
- 1:15unknown: Yeah.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: So we're honestly just gonna get right into it.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: Because I'm excited.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: Oh, I can't talk.
- 1:24unknown: Okay.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: Number one, you're at a restaurant, realize the waiter accidentally forgot to charge you for your$30 entree.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: You notice after you've already left.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: What do you do?
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: If I notice after I left, yeah.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: I'm not doing anything.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: Is that wrong?
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: What did you call them?
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: Can you please charge me?
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: It's their negligence.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: If I noticed when I was still there and I saw that it's not on the check, of course, I'm like, I don't think you charge me for this.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: I always hope that in return they'll be like, oh my gosh.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: Thank you so much.
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: You know what?
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: Since you're honest, I'll take care of it and I'll compet.
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: But if I was already home, what if you were like out the door 20 feet down.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah, then I'll I'll go back.
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: But if I'm home, I drove home and I'm like in bed, and then I like happen to look at my receipt.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: No.
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: You can go.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: Sorry if that makes me bad.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: I'm scared.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: Um this is on the same restaurant wavelength.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: You're at a restaurant and realize after you've eaten that you left your wallet at home.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: Your Apple Pay isn't working.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: What do you do?
- 2:49SPEAKER_00: That's a good question.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: I have to call dad and see if he can pay over the phone for me.
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: Or you could, or if you don't know your credit card information.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: I would do that.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: I would ask an ask you.
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: I would be like, can I get an IOU?
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: I'd probably ask that.
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: I've gotten one before.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: From the toll booth.
- 3:17SPEAKER_00: Okay, you go.
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: You're at a friend's house and accidentally break something that you know is sentimental to them.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: They haven't noticed yet.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: What do you do?
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: You've also done this.
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: Oh gosh.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: When did I do that?
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: When you were all sitting for snaps thinking too.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: I would tell them.
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: I did tell them and I left the money.
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 3:43SPEAKER_00: And then she's so nice.
- 3:44SPEAKER_00: She's like, don't even worry about it.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: She sent me a because I left and like I left the money for them.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: And then she sent me a thank you card in the mail and sent the money back.
- 3:54SPEAKER_00: That's so nice.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: It was a coaster.
- 3:57SPEAKER_00: Tell your aunt she's sorry.
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's funny.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: So yeah, okay, you would tell them.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I couldn't live with myself if I didn't.
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: You're walking through a parking lot and find an envelope with$500 cash inside.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: There's no name or identifying information.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: Take it off.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: What do you do?
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: I'm taking the envelope.
- 4:21SPEAKER_00: I'm not taking that.
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: It's probably laced with something of the funny.
- 4:25SPEAKER_00: That is true.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: My first thought would be it's a trap.
- 4:28SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah.
- 4:28SPEAKER_00: That's definitely my first thought.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: Or maybe I'd pick it up with like a tweezer.
- 4:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I would go to Walgreens across the street.
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: I'm picturing myself walking in Central Park.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: We're gonna run over to the Walgreens.
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: We're gonna get a pair of gloves.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: We're gonna pick up the$500.
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: If we're gonna take it to the park, maybe it's gone.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: Maybe the police department.
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: Maybe I'll take it to the police department and be like, hey, can you like check this out for fentanyl?
- 4:51SPEAKER_00: Like weird stuff.
- 4:52SPEAKER_00: Like, what is it slice with?
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: If it's clean.
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: All mines.
- 4:57SPEAKER_00: All mines.
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: If it's like at like in like whales at the park, I think I might be I would walk around with it and like look around, see if anyone's looking frantic.
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: Because next thing you know, I'm gonna be on one of those shows where someone comes out with a microphone.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: They're like what would you do with a social experiment?
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: You know, yeah.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: I was just looking for the owner.
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: So ooh.
- 5:29SPEAKER_00: Your friend asked you for your honest opinion about an outfit before a big event.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: You genuinely don't like it, but they're clearly really excited about it.
- 5:38SPEAKER_00: What do you do?
- 5:40SPEAKER_00: I would say.
- 5:43SPEAKER_00: Do you have anything else?
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: Like not my favorite.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: With that same tone?
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: It's not my favorite, but if you like it, then if you feel confident in it, like that's all that matters.
- 5:55SPEAKER_00: It's just not my style stuff, and I'm like, I don't love it.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and then I go cry and rip it off.
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: You're in a drive-thru, and when you get to the window, they tell you the person behind ahead of you paid for your order.
- 6:10SPEAKER_00: Your order was$8, but the car behind you was$47.
- 6:15SPEAKER_00: Are you contributing to the chain?
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: No.
- 6:19SPEAKER_00: Because the person behind me would never know there was even a chain going on.
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 6:24SPEAKER_00: I probably neither.
- 6:26SPEAKER_00: I think if it was less than$10, absolutely.
- 6:28SPEAKER_00: I'm not paying for a$47 meal.
- 6:31SPEAKER_00: I could have gone to a nice restaurant for that.
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: Same girl, mine was freaking$2.
- 6:39SPEAKER_00: Is this whole episode just about to make me seem like a really mean person?
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: I'm answering these honestly, I think.
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: I feel like like most people are not gonna pay$47 for a McDonald's meal for the car behind them, right?
- 6:51SPEAKER_00: Guys, back me up on this.
- 6:53SPEAKER_00: Come on, guys, right?
- 6:55SPEAKER_00: Guys, right?
- 6:57SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: You see someone, you know, at the grocery store, but they clearly don't see you.
- 7:03SPEAKER_00: You're not in the mood to talk.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: Do you avoid them or say hi?
- 7:08SPEAKER_00: You ain't gonna see me.
- 7:10SPEAKER_00: That's when you start just like backing up and escaping, like escaping through the cloak.
- 7:16SPEAKER_00: There was a day I was in like Vero or somewhere random, and I saw two people that I know.
- 7:23SPEAKER_00: I did not say anything.
- 7:26SPEAKER_00: Well, they were like coming down my aisle, so they could have seen me too.
- 7:30SPEAKER_00: And they didn't say anything.
- 7:32SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna go up to someone and hi, hi, hi, hello.
- 7:35SPEAKER_00: Hey, how are you?
- 7:36SPEAKER_00: Well, that's the same thing that happened to me one time.
- 7:38SPEAKER_00: I was in this store and I saw someone I knew, but it was like not really close enough to just like go out and say hi.
- 7:46SPEAKER_00: And we're also really not friends, but like we know each other.
- 7:49SPEAKER_00: And then I was like, I kept looking up to see like if there was a chance for me to say something, and yeah, they were never looking at me, so I never did, and then I look like a jerk because they're like, Hey, Amber.
- 8:02SPEAKER_00: I'm like, hey, well, this person walking away.
- 8:06SPEAKER_00: I was like, I met like once, I just know them, and then the other person was somebody that I know that I'm not in contact.
- 8:15SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't have a relationship with them.
- 8:18SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 8:22SPEAKER_00: Oof.
- 8:23SPEAKER_00: This is really tough, dude.
- 8:25SPEAKER_00: You're driving and see a dog running loose near a busy road, but you're already late for something important.
- 8:30SPEAKER_00: What do you do?
- 8:31SPEAKER_00: Oh no.
- 8:32SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna try to get the dog.
- 8:34SPEAKER_00: But like it's I'm thinking like sometimes I see stuff, not like this, I haven't seen this.
- 8:40SPEAKER_00: Or I think about scenarios.
- 8:42SPEAKER_00: I'm on the way to a like a wedding.
- 8:44SPEAKER_00: I can't be late.
- 8:46SPEAKER_00: Or like a photo shoot.
- 8:48SPEAKER_00: Hmm.
- 8:51SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna try to like slow down and like you know, do something.
- 8:55SPEAKER_00: I would honk my horn or something, like, yeah, I guess it's hey, hey, hey, come here, come here.
- 9:01SPEAKER_00: And then if it was a busy highway, it's like I would try to no.
- 9:07SPEAKER_00: See, I don't even know if it's a busy highway, it's like, do I stop and like put my life at risk?
- 9:12SPEAKER_00: It depends on where we're at and where I'm going.
- 9:15SPEAKER_00: I would I think I would try to stop and get the dog because like that crap scares me.
- 9:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 9:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 9:23SPEAKER_00: Or I would like pull off, see if like someone else is helping.
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and then call like animal control or something.
- 9:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think like that's the way I would help.
- 9:32SPEAKER_00: I don't know if I can physically like like if thinking I'm on the way to my job, I can't bring up that I can't be late to.
- 9:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I would probably call somebody, maybe like just pull over, make sure it's okay.
- 9:46SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 9:47SPEAKER_00: That's really tough.
- 9:50SPEAKER_00: Hugo.
- 9:51SPEAKER_00: You accidentally receive a text from someone that was obviously meant for someone else, and it's about you, and it's mean.
- 9:59SPEAKER_00: What do you do?
- 10:03SPEAKER_00: Block.
- 10:05SPEAKER_00: I think I might address it.
- 10:07SPEAKER_00: Like, okay, so this is what you think?
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: Awesome.
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: She's like, hey, I don't know if you meant to send this, send this to me, but this is Amber.
- 10:15SPEAKER_00: So sorry you feel that way, but lose my number.
- 10:20SPEAKER_00: Basically.
- 10:21SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 10:22SPEAKER_00: My stomach would be a knots if that happened.
- 10:24SPEAKER_00: Me too.
- 10:25SPEAKER_00: It'd be like, yo, are you serious?
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: Like, this is what everyone thinks about me.
- 10:30SPEAKER_00: You're at a restaurant and your food comes out completely wrong.
- 10:33SPEAKER_00: Eating it.
- 10:34SPEAKER_00: Everyone else at the table has theirs.
- 10:36SPEAKER_00: Do you send it back or eat it?
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: Eating it.
- 10:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 10:39SPEAKER_00: I don't care if it's a rack of lambs.
- 10:41SPEAKER_00: Like, it's not even because, like, oh, I'm too timid to because I've been waiting and everyone else has their food.
- 10:48unknown: Yeah.
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: So if it's not terrible and I'm not allergic to it, I'm gonna eat it.
- 10:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 10:52SPEAKER_00: I did that before at the joinery.
- 10:54SPEAKER_00: I ordered like a sushi bowl.
- 10:56SPEAKER_00: He was completely wrong.
- 10:57SPEAKER_00: I still ate it.
- 10:58SPEAKER_00: Cause I didn't it took like 20 minutes too.
- 11:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't care.
- 11:02SPEAKER_00: If you can make this in three minutes, then yeah.
- 11:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 11:05SPEAKER_00: There'll be sometimes.
- 11:06SPEAKER_00: I think like once or twice.
- 11:08SPEAKER_00: I remember recently, like I did send something.
- 11:11SPEAKER_00: If it's at like a fast food restaurant or like a casual dining restaurant, I'm actually throwing it back.
- 11:18SPEAKER_00: I'll send it back.
- 11:20SPEAKER_00: Sometimes I'll just eat it because whatever.
- 11:26SPEAKER_00: I just answered.
- 11:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 11:29SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 11:30SPEAKER_00: A friend asks you a secret and specifically asks you not to tell anyone.
- 11:34SPEAKER_00: Later.
- 11:37SPEAKER_00: Oh, tell they told you.
- 11:38SPEAKER_00: Sorry.
- 11:39SPEAKER_00: A friend told you a secret and specifically asked you not to tell anyone.
- 11:42SPEAKER_00: Later, a mutual friend asks you directly about the situation.
- 11:47SPEAKER_00: What would you do?
- 11:49SPEAKER_00: Either way, you're cooked.
- 11:53SPEAKER_00: I would be like.
- 11:59SPEAKER_00: I'm not out of the teacher say.
- 12:01SPEAKER_00: But it's like, even then though, like they would know.
- 12:04SPEAKER_00: They would know that they said something.
- 12:06SPEAKER_00: What are they asking?
- 12:08SPEAKER_00: If they know about it too, I'll be like, yeah, they told me, but I they asked me to keep it a secret, so so okay, they told you a secret, like, oh my gosh.
- 12:20SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh, I'm pregnant.
- 12:22SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh, I'm pregnant.
- 12:23SPEAKER_00: Please don't tell anybody.
- 12:24SPEAKER_00: Friend number two comes up and be like, oh my gosh, someone's always been acting weird.
- 12:29SPEAKER_00: Oh, like that.
- 12:31SPEAKER_00: No, I'm not gonna say anything.
- 12:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but then imagine what you would say.
- 12:35SPEAKER_00: You'd get all weird and like your facial expressions would start twitching, and you'd be like, No, I don't I don't know if they're pregnant.
- 12:42SPEAKER_00: And then I feel like that would give it away.
- 12:45SPEAKER_00: I would be like, oh, I don't know.
- 12:47SPEAKER_00: And then just be like, mm-mm, I no clue.
- 12:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah, if that was a situation, I wouldn't tell them.
- 12:53SPEAKER_00: I would run away.
- 12:54SPEAKER_00: But I thought you were saying, like, so you heard so-and-so is this too.
- 13:00SPEAKER_00: No, yeah.
- 13:00SPEAKER_00: So it's like just like a direct secret.
- 13:03SPEAKER_00: I feel like I would, I'm not gonna tell them.
- 13:05SPEAKER_00: I'm not telling them, but I do also feel like I'm not a good liar and like my face goes wonky.
- 13:13SPEAKER_00: So I feel like I was in this situation, and I tried to be like, oh, I don't know.
- 13:19SPEAKER_00: But then they kept like doubling down.
- 13:21SPEAKER_00: That's what I'm saying.
- 13:22SPEAKER_00: And I did have to tell them the truth.
- 13:24SPEAKER_00: That just reminded me of that Spotify commercial.
- 13:27SPEAKER_00: Bia.
- 13:29SPEAKER_00: Tell me about the next words.
- 13:35SPEAKER_00: Oh no, I'm not sure.
- 13:36SPEAKER_00: Or this is good.
- 13:37SPEAKER_00: And he's like, that's what I'm saying.
- 13:39SPEAKER_00: I'm saying no, I'm not sharing this.
- 13:42SPEAKER_00: Is that what you're talking about?
- 13:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 13:45SPEAKER_00: How did that remind you of that?
- 13:46SPEAKER_00: Because I said, that's what I'm saying.
- 13:49SPEAKER_00: Tia, yeah, give me a Baja Blast.
- 13:53SPEAKER_00: It's a Baja Blast.
- 13:55SPEAKER_00: Anyways.
- 13:56SPEAKER_00: Okay, ask me.
- 13:59SPEAKER_00: Ooh, you're at the movie and the people behind you will not stop talking.
- 14:03SPEAKER_00: Do you turn around and say something, move seats, or suffer silently?
- 14:07SPEAKER_00: Oh, suffer silently.
- 14:08SPEAKER_00: I'll tell you what I'll do.
- 14:10SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna make some movements.
- 14:12SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna shuffle in my chair a little bit.
- 14:14SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna look back.
- 14:16SPEAKER_00: Acting all confused.
- 14:17SPEAKER_00: Like, what is that noise?
- 14:20SPEAKER_00: But I'm not saying anything.
- 14:22SPEAKER_00: No.
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: That's exactly what I would say.
- 14:25SPEAKER_00: No, yeah, I would be like this.
- 14:26SPEAKER_00: I'd be like, and like just keep moving and then slightly turn my head.
- 14:32SPEAKER_00: I wouldn't even turn, I wouldn't even turn that 90 degrees.
- 14:36SPEAKER_00: It would be like a 45 degree angle that I would turn my head as in like I wouldn't look all the way around at them and make eye contact.
- 14:43SPEAKER_00: I would just like be like 45 degree angle in my ear, like like do some huffing and puffing.
- 14:54SPEAKER_00: In no world would I say something to them.
- 14:56SPEAKER_00: There's actually not a world where I would turn around and say something to somebody.
- 15:01SPEAKER_00: Can you guys shut up?
- 15:05SPEAKER_00: Do you guys mind shutting your mouths kindly?
- 15:08SPEAKER_00: Excuse me.
- 15:09SPEAKER_00: Hi.
- 15:10SPEAKER_00: Shut up.
- 15:12SPEAKER_00: I'm trying to watch it.
- 15:15SPEAKER_00: No.
- 15:17SPEAKER_00: Nope.
- 15:17SPEAKER_00: I would rather do that.
- 15:19SPEAKER_00: I would move.
- 15:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah, if they keep on acting up, I would move.
- 15:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 15:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 15:26SPEAKER_00: The worst is in church.
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: Let's talk.
- 15:31SPEAKER_00: I feel like that's where I've done it.
- 15:35SPEAKER_00: The worst.
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: Like and I'm like, I know this is the enemy right now.
- 15:40SPEAKER_00: Like, this can't be for real because it'll be someone like last week it was this.
- 15:47SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: That's like making my ears.
- 15:52SPEAKER_00: Hey now.
- 15:54SPEAKER_00: Hi.
- 15:55SPEAKER_00: Do you love the Lord?
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: Then zip it.
- 15:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 15:59SPEAKER_00: But the whole time it's just like the communion cup.
- 16:04SPEAKER_00: And like he specifically says to open it at the beginning, so you're not.
- 16:08SPEAKER_00: No, it wasn't even you was trying to open it.
- 16:10SPEAKER_00: He was just like messing it, breaking it up, and I'm like.
- 16:15SPEAKER_00: Do you remember?
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: I think it was at our old church, but there was a couple next to, or maybe this is just my own experience.
- 16:21SPEAKER_00: There was a couple next to us, and this girl was like rubbing her husband's back.
- 16:28SPEAKER_00: And all you hear is just like my eyes are just following her hand.
- 16:37SPEAKER_00: I can't even hear the message.
- 16:39SPEAKER_00: That's all I hear is her rubbing his back.
- 16:41SPEAKER_00: Yup, and then like I'm like, Yes, that's exactly the sound.
- 16:47SPEAKER_00: Lord, please help me right now.
- 16:49SPEAKER_00: Please help me focus right now.
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: Masking.
- 16:53SPEAKER_00: And I get I just keep looking at them.
- 16:55SPEAKER_00: Me too.
- 16:56SPEAKER_00: I'm just staring, hoping my eyes are just like asking them and willing them, please stop it.
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: Please stop.
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: Please, please, please.
- 17:03SPEAKER_00: Everyone can hear you itching your boyfriend's back.
- 17:06SPEAKER_00: I didn't like that.
- 17:06SPEAKER_00: It made me uncomfortable.
- 17:08SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's like also.
- 17:10SPEAKER_00: This isn't the time to do back scratches right now.
- 17:13SPEAKER_00: I know that you love him so dearly.
- 17:15SPEAKER_00: And it's super sweet.
- 17:16SPEAKER_00: Like yeah, it is sweet.
- 17:18SPEAKER_00: You can put your arm around someone during whatever, but the whole rub his skin don't keep surface.
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: Scratching on his shirt over everyone can hear it.
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: It was the whole service.
- 17:30SPEAKER_00: Giving him a back massage.
- 17:34SPEAKER_00: That lives in my brain.
- 17:35SPEAKER_00: That's seared in my brain.
- 17:37SPEAKER_00: I remember that.
- 17:40SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 17:41SPEAKER_00: I think I'm like too, I have a hard time like focusing in public as it is when I hear noises around me.
- 17:48SPEAKER_00: So it gets really tough for me.
- 17:50SPEAKER_00: Whenever I'm distracted, like restaurants.
- 17:53SPEAKER_00: I do crack my fingers sometimes in church, and I am conscious of that.
- 17:57SPEAKER_00: I am too.
- 17:58SPEAKER_00: And I'm constantly like you know I'm a throat clearer.
- 18:03SPEAKER_00: And so I only allow myself a couple throat clears during the survey.
- 18:24SPEAKER_00: Sound like Scooby Doo.
- 18:27SPEAKER_00: Pastor Jackwick stops.
- 18:30SPEAKER_00: Ma'am, can you get out?
- 18:32SPEAKER_00: Yes, of course, I'm sorry.
- 18:40unknown: Why?
- 18:42SPEAKER_01: Anyways, that's so stupid.
- 18:44SPEAKER_00: That might need cut out.
- 18:50SPEAKER_00: I think that's what's going on in my head.
- 18:52SPEAKER_00: It's like, okay, you can only do a couple throat clears the service.
- 18:56SPEAKER_00: You have to respect the other people around you.
- 19:00SPEAKER_00: So just be conscious of where you're sitting, guys.
- 19:03SPEAKER_00: If you're sitting next to me, if anyone wants to sit next to me though, next week, my seats open.
- 19:08SPEAKER_00: Seats open.
- 19:09SPEAKER_00: Just kidding.
- 19:10SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 19:11SPEAKER_00: Someone accidentally cuts you in line, and it genuinely seems and they genuinely seem not to realize it.
- 19:17SPEAKER_00: Do you say something or let it go?
- 19:19SPEAKER_00: I let it go, but just now I'm fuming and I'm staring daggers into the back of your head.
- 19:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 19:24SPEAKER_00: What if they did mean it?
- 19:26SPEAKER_00: Would you say something?
- 19:28unknown: No.
- 19:29SPEAKER_00: Still no.
- 19:30SPEAKER_00: Um, excuse me, I think you cut me in line.
- 19:32SPEAKER_00: I would wait for like the loud person behind me.
- 19:36SPEAKER_00: Like who need like I would be like there, yeah, yeah.
- 19:38SPEAKER_00: Like that kind of person.
- 19:40SPEAKER_00: I would wait till someone around me.
- 19:41SPEAKER_00: I'd maybe like look around me and try to make eye contact.
- 19:44SPEAKER_00: Like if someone's like, hey, they just cut you off.
- 19:46SPEAKER_00: Like, yeah, they did.
- 19:47SPEAKER_00: But then hope to God that they say something to them.
- 19:50SPEAKER_00: Have you seen that one reel where it's like when the person in line they try to involve you in their drama and like look at you?
- 19:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 19:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 19:59SPEAKER_00: I don't like that.
- 20:00SPEAKER_00: Me neither.
- 20:01SPEAKER_00: I'm like, uh-uh, I'm not associated with them.
- 20:02SPEAKER_00: I don't have the same beliefs.
- 20:06SPEAKER_00: Did you ask me?
- 20:07SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 20:11SPEAKER_00: Oof.
- 20:13SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 20:14SPEAKER_00: You're in the checkout line with a completely full cart.
- 20:17SPEAKER_00: The person behind you has one item, but you're already running late.
- 20:19SPEAKER_00: Do you let them go ahead?
- 20:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 20:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 20:22SPEAKER_00: That's easy.
- 20:23SPEAKER_00: I think any decent person would.
- 20:26SPEAKER_00: Nobody's done a lot.
- 20:27SPEAKER_00: I'm running late.
- 20:28SPEAKER_00: I'm running.
- 20:29SPEAKER_00: Ooh, that's just.
- 20:30SPEAKER_00: You're running late, but they have one item.
- 20:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 20:32SPEAKER_00: It doesn't, it's not gonna affect me.
- 20:36SPEAKER_00: You realize, or you're invited to a wedding, but you realize you're going to be seated at a table with someone you had a really bad falling out with.
- 20:44SPEAKER_00: You cannot change your seat.
- 20:46SPEAKER_00: What do you do?
- 20:47SPEAKER_00: I'm probably gonna go still and just mind my P's and Q's.
- 20:52SPEAKER_00: True.
- 20:54SPEAKER_00: What would you do?
- 20:56SPEAKER_00: Damn.
- 20:57SPEAKER_00: I'm not not gonna go to my friend's wedding.
- 21:01SPEAKER_00: We we have Annaise's wedding coming up this weekend.
- 21:06SPEAKER_00: Shout out the Edwards.
- 21:10SPEAKER_00: I think I just asked you.
- 21:12SPEAKER_01: No.
- 21:20SPEAKER_00: Sorry.
- 21:23SPEAKER_00: You're getting ready to leave someone's house when you notice you ha you notice wait what?
- 21:28SPEAKER_00: You notice they have food stuck in their teeth.
- 21:31SPEAKER_00: They're about to go meet other people.
- 21:33SPEAKER_00: Do you tell them?
- 21:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 21:37SPEAKER_00: Wait, smile?
- 21:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you have a huge piece of garbage in your teeth.
- 21:42SPEAKER_00: That's disgusting.
- 21:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I would just be like, ooh, wait, smile?
- 21:47SPEAKER_00: I think you have something in your teeth.
- 21:49unknown: It's like I know.
- 21:51SPEAKER_00: And I don't think.
- 21:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 21:53SPEAKER_00: I I think I see something like big and green unless that's your tooth.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 22:01SPEAKER_00: Let's it shouldn't be taboo to tell someone that they have something in their teeth.
- 22:05SPEAKER_00: That's why I I ask.
- 22:06SPEAKER_00: I'm like, hey, do I have anything in my teeth?
- 22:08SPEAKER_00: And then it opens up the door and like, oh wait, do I have anything in my teeth?
- 22:10SPEAKER_00: And they always ask.
- 22:11SPEAKER_00: It's not embarrassing if you have something in your teeth.
- 22:13SPEAKER_00: No, tell me I have a weird thing in my mouth.
- 22:16SPEAKER_00: You're at a store and you realize the cashier gave you too much change.
- 22:20SPEAKER_00: You're already halfway to your car.
- 22:21SPEAKER_00: What do you do?
- 22:22SPEAKER_00: Girl, first of all, I don't know what change I got at.
- 22:28SPEAKER_00: It's like, okay, cool.
- 22:30SPEAKER_00: They could do that.
- 22:30SPEAKER_00: I wouldn't do anything.
- 22:31SPEAKER_00: If I like realized, then I would say, Oh, yeah, I think you gave me too much, but I don't know the math on that to tell them yes or no.
- 22:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah, same.
- 22:41SPEAKER_00: But I would give it back to them if I realized.
- 22:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah, if I knew I would give it back.
- 22:45SPEAKER_00: But I didn't tell you, I would not.
- 22:47SPEAKER_00: It would come home with me.
- 22:50SPEAKER_00: Well, here I go with my throat clearing.
- 22:55SPEAKER_00: Someone you barely know asks if they can stay at your house for a week because they're coming to town.
- 23:00SPEAKER_00: You have a guest room.
- 23:01SPEAKER_00: What do you say?
- 23:04SPEAKER_00: Yikes.
- 23:06SPEAKER_01: No.
- 23:07SPEAKER_00: Yikes.
- 23:08SPEAKER_00: Okay, so someone I barely know.
- 23:09SPEAKER_00: Like an acquaintance.
- 23:12SPEAKER_00: No, I don't think so.
- 23:14SPEAKER_00: Just I usually would, but I just think like at this like if they are in a trusted acquaintance, I think possibly.
- 23:23SPEAKER_00: Like if I can trust them and I know where they come from and who they're friends with.
- 23:30SPEAKER_00: But no, most cases, because it's like you just don't know people.
- 23:37SPEAKER_00: And I don't have a spare bedroom.
- 23:39SPEAKER_00: I do, but it's full.
- 23:40SPEAKER_00: You can sleep in your arts and crafts room.
- 23:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 23:45SPEAKER_00: You ever hear someone giving your friend completely incorrect advice about some.
- 23:51SPEAKER_00: No, I don't want to ask how long that's stupid.
- 23:54SPEAKER_00: Okay, your friend cancels plans with you for the third time, but each time they have what seems like a legitimate reason.
- 24:01SPEAKER_00: Do you keep making plans with them?
- 24:03SPEAKER_00: No, you don't.
- 24:04SPEAKER_00: You're dropped.
- 24:06SPEAKER_00: I'm just kidding.
- 24:07SPEAKER_00: Kidding.
- 24:09SPEAKER_00: No, but I wouldn't initiate plans again.
- 24:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 24:11SPEAKER_00: They can if they want to hang out with me, they can reach.
- 24:13SPEAKER_00: They will initiate.
- 24:15SPEAKER_00: I agree.
- 24:16SPEAKER_00: And that's how many friendships die.
- 24:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 24:22SPEAKER_00: You're staying at someone's house.
- 24:24SPEAKER_00: Or no, I'm sorry.
- 24:26SPEAKER_00: You're just at someone's house and they tell you, make yourself at home.
- 24:29SPEAKER_00: You're starving.
- 24:30SPEAKER_00: How far in their pantry are you willing to go?
- 24:33SPEAKER_00: I'm not going to make myself that.
- 24:36SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm like, hey, do you have a snack?
- 24:40SPEAKER_00: And I would just ask them for a snack.
- 24:42SPEAKER_00: I'm not digging in someone's pantry.
- 24:44SPEAKER_00: I just, I'm asking them, yeah.
- 24:47SPEAKER_00: Can you may you please get it for me as well?
- 24:49SPEAKER_00: Even when I house sit for or babysit for Leah overnight and I stay there, I feel so ratchet going in the pantry and getting a snack.
- 24:59SPEAKER_00: Even though I'm staying there.
- 25:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 25:01SPEAKER_00: She's like, oh, eat whatever.
- 25:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 25:02SPEAKER_00: And I know if I asked, she would say take whatever.
- 25:05SPEAKER_00: She'd tell us to cook a meal, but it's like, I can't.
- 25:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's tough.
- 25:13SPEAKER_00: You see your friend's significant other out somewhere and they're being unusually friendly with someone else.
- 25:19SPEAKER_00: You don't actually see anything definitively wrong.
- 25:22SPEAKER_00: Do you tell your friend?
- 25:24SPEAKER_00: Can you repeat the first part?
- 25:26SPEAKER_00: You see your friend's boyfriend out somewhere and they're being unusually friendly with someone else.
- 25:32SPEAKER_00: You don't actually see anything definitively wrong, do you tell your friend?
- 25:39SPEAKER_00: Probably.
- 25:40SPEAKER_00: I would just I wouldn't say in a way that accuses him and be like, oh, I saw so-and-so out.
- 25:45SPEAKER_00: You just talking to somebody.
- 25:47SPEAKER_00: I don't know who it was, but That's exactly how I would approach it.
- 25:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 25:55SPEAKER_00: You accidentally send a screenshot to the person you screenshotted with the immediate next move.
- 26:01SPEAKER_00: Immediate next move?
- 26:03SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 26:05SPEAKER_00: Unsend the message.
- 26:08SPEAKER_00: But that's not an option.
- 26:10SPEAKER_00: My immediate like reaction would be throw my phone, but then I would remember that I need to try to go in there and unsend it.
- 26:19SPEAKER_00: If that doesn't work, I would just be like, I'm so sorry.
- 26:23SPEAKER_00: I was talking shmack.
- 26:25SPEAKER_00: At the time, it's not even talking crap.
- 26:30SPEAKER_00: But it's still embarrassing.
- 26:31SPEAKER_00: It's embarrassing.
- 26:33SPEAKER_00: You were talking about me with somebody else?
- 26:34SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 26:35SPEAKER_00: You're talking about our conversation?
- 26:37SPEAKER_00: Get my name out your wife's.
- 26:40SPEAKER_00: I said that backwards.
- 26:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 26:44SPEAKER_00: You have plans with someone you've been looking forward to for weeks, but the day arrives and you suddenly realize you really don't want to go.
- 26:54SPEAKER_00: Do you force yourself to go or do you cancel?
- 26:57SPEAKER_00: I force myself to go because they took time out of their day, arranged plans, put me in their calendar, so I'm going.
- 27:06SPEAKER_00: I don't care if I don't feel like going that day.
- 27:08SPEAKER_00: Unless I'm sick.
- 27:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah, unless I'm sick or I genuinely cannot go, I'm going.
- 27:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 27:14SPEAKER_00: I've learned that lesson.
- 27:15SPEAKER_00: Like I try my very best to show up for people.
- 27:22SPEAKER_00: No matter how much I don't want to go.
- 27:26SPEAKER_00: That's all my oh no, it's not.
- 27:28SPEAKER_00: Oh, these ones are harder scenarios, but I only have three percent.
- 27:33SPEAKER_00: Hold on, let me Did I ask you that?
- 27:39SPEAKER_00: No, but I'm gonna ask you this.
- 27:41SPEAKER_00: You find out your friend's boyfriend is planning a surprise proposal.
- 27:46SPEAKER_00: Did I say that right?
- 27:47SPEAKER_00: No.
- 27:47SPEAKER_00: Surprise proposal.
- 27:49SPEAKER_00: But you also know your friend has privately told you she isn't ready for marriage, nor does she want it yet.
- 27:56SPEAKER_00: Do you warn her, knowing you completely ruined the proposal?
- 27:59SPEAKER_00: What do you do?
- 28:00SPEAKER_00: I would probably warn him.
- 28:02SPEAKER_00: I think I would too.
- 28:03SPEAKER_00: I would be like, oh, that's awesome.
- 28:06SPEAKER_00: Have you guys had a conversation about it?
- 28:08SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 28:09SPEAKER_00: I would maybe like see what she's thinking.
- 28:13SPEAKER_00: I don't think I would, or unless like I say that and he's like, no, I think it's good, then if he was still planning on going forward with it, I would tell her.
- 28:25SPEAKER_00: Or no, I wouldn't, because she can say no.
- 28:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 28:28SPEAKER_00: That's up to her.
- 28:28SPEAKER_00: And we're not gonna ruin any surprises.
- 28:35SPEAKER_00: Um your friend introduces you to someone and says, You two have met before.
- 28:43SPEAKER_00: You have absolutely no idea who this person is.
- 28:45SPEAKER_00: Do you admit it or pretend?
- 28:47SPEAKER_00: I am admitting it.
- 28:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 28:48SPEAKER_00: I'd be like, oh my gosh, where do we meet?
- 28:50SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 28:51SPEAKER_00: I would be like, I my memory is so bad.
- 28:53SPEAKER_00: Like, I can remember faces but not names.
- 28:56SPEAKER_00: Who are you?
- 28:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'd probably do similar.
- 29:00SPEAKER_00: Like, oh, remind me.
- 29:03SPEAKER_00: I don't know who you are.
- 29:05SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 29:10SPEAKER_00: Ooh, let's see.
- 29:13SPEAKER_00: Okay, you're invited to a small event and your friend specifically asks you not to bring your new significant other.
- 29:20SPEAKER_00: You later find out everyone else is invited to bring theirs.
- 29:23SPEAKER_00: Do you go alone, ask why, or skip the event?
- 29:26SPEAKER_00: Skip the event.
- 29:27SPEAKER_00: You just said that you're showing up for your friends.
- 29:30SPEAKER_00: But all their significant others are allowed, but mine isn't.
- 29:35SPEAKER_00: You can ask.
- 29:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'll ask.
- 29:38SPEAKER_00: And then if she gives me a bogus reason, I say I'm not going.
- 29:41SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 29:44SPEAKER_00: If Dylan Efron can't come, I'm not going.
- 29:53SPEAKER_00: You're in an Uber 30 minutes from home and realize your driver is going the wrong direction.
- 29:57SPEAKER_00: They insist the GPS is correct.
- 29:59SPEAKER_00: What do you do?
- 30:02SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 30:03SPEAKER_00: I will correct that.
- 30:04SPEAKER_00: As I did.
- 30:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 30:06SPEAKER_00: In New York.
- 30:08SPEAKER_00: When?
- 30:10SPEAKER_00: Jugoo.
- 30:11SPEAKER_00: Oh, that was on the train though.
- 30:13SPEAKER_00: Same thing.
- 30:14SPEAKER_00: It was asking for directions, the question said.
- 30:17SPEAKER_00: You're in an Uber.
- 30:18SPEAKER_00: And he's going the wrong way.
- 30:20SPEAKER_00: Do you speak, but he insists the GPS is correct.
- 30:23SPEAKER_00: You tell them, like, no, it's this one.
- 30:26SPEAKER_00: Um, I number one, I'd get 911 on the phone.
- 30:28SPEAKER_00: True.
- 30:29SPEAKER_00: Because where are we going?
- 30:31SPEAKER_00: And I'm speaking up.
- 30:33SPEAKER_00: And I'm making sure that I'm going to try to pry the unlock thing on the door.
- 30:37SPEAKER_00: Make sure that's up.
- 30:39SPEAKER_00: And then I will ask before I ask that.
- 30:41SPEAKER_00: I'm making sure that I can unlock the door.
- 30:45SPEAKER_00: And I'm saying, hey, I don't believe this is the right way.
- 30:51SPEAKER_00: May you confirm.
- 30:53SPEAKER_00: And then he, if he has a weird answer, I'm calling 911 and I'm trying to jump out of the car.
- 30:59SPEAKER_00: True.
- 31:00SPEAKER_00: I had a weird experience whenever I flew into Ohio.
- 31:04SPEAKER_00: I had to take an Uber from the airport to an Airbnb that I've never been to before.
- 31:09SPEAKER_00: And it wasn't like picking up properly on the GPS.
- 31:13SPEAKER_00: So he kept driving around and he's like, I don't know where it is.
- 31:17SPEAKER_00: Is the address you gave me right?
- 31:19SPEAKER_00: I'm like, yes, it's the right address.
- 31:21SPEAKER_00: This is it.
- 31:22SPEAKER_00: I'm showing you.
- 31:24SPEAKER_00: And then I'm like, bro, he's stealing me.
- 31:28SPEAKER_00: And so I was praying.
- 31:30SPEAKER_00: I think I texted you.
- 31:32SPEAKER_00: And it turns out it was like a weird side road that neither of us saw the first time.
- 31:38SPEAKER_00: I don't think you texted me this.
- 31:40SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 31:40SPEAKER_00: I've never heard this.
- 31:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 31:43SPEAKER_00: I was scared.
- 31:45SPEAKER_00: I thought he was trying to steal me, but he was actually just confused.
- 31:48SPEAKER_00: And like, no, this is the address, but he would go to the address and it takes us to like this weird neighborhood.
- 31:54SPEAKER_00: Like, no, this is not it.
- 31:57SPEAKER_00: And then we drove around for like way long until we found it was like a weird road that we didn't see.
- 32:04SPEAKER_00: Thank God.
- 32:05SPEAKER_00: I don't know what I was about to do, but I was getting stolen.
- 32:08SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 32:10SPEAKER_00: The last one I have is you've given you're given an opportunity you've dreamed about for years, but taking it would require moving away from your family and missing several important milestones.
- 32:27SPEAKER_00: You know you may never get the opportunity again.
- 32:29SPEAKER_00: Do you take it?
- 32:31SPEAKER_00: Um I would have to pray about that a lot.
- 32:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 32:37SPEAKER_00: So I don't really know.
- 32:39SPEAKER_00: I guess whatever God leads me towards.
- 32:41SPEAKER_00: That's true.
- 32:42SPEAKER_00: I would if that's where I'm supposed to be.
- 32:45SPEAKER_00: I feel like you would know.
- 32:47SPEAKER_00: Well, there you have it.
- 32:49SPEAKER_00: That is what would we do in this situation live?
- 32:55SPEAKER_00: Text us any other situations that you might be curious.
- 33:00SPEAKER_00: What would we do?
- 33:02SPEAKER_00: If you just like really want to know.
- 33:05SPEAKER_00: Thank you again for listening as always.
- 33:08SPEAKER_00: Um we love you guys, and we will chat with you next week.
