- 0:59Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 1:00Dayna Roselli: Well, apparently I influenced you.
- 1:03Dayna Roselli: You did.
- 1:05Dayna Roselli: So I guess influencing does work.
- 1:08Sean McAllister: Influencing, it absolutely works.
- 1:11Sean McAllister: And I am very influencable, apparently.
- 1:14Dayna Roselli: Well, I've been driving by the good pie in downtown Las Vegas over and over through the years.
- 1:20Dayna Roselli: I love pizza.
- 1:22Dayna Roselli: I'm picky about my pizza, but I love pizza.
- 1:24Dayna Roselli: And I always think, oh, I gotta try the good pie.
- 1:26Dayna Roselli: I gotta try the good pie.
- 1:27Dayna Roselli: I gotta try the good pie.
- 1:28Dayna Roselli: Well, I did follow through with one of our tips that we talked about last week or one of our conversations.
- 1:33Dayna Roselli: And I did hit up happy hour on a Friday with a friend in downtown Las Vegas.
- 1:39Dayna Roselli: Remember, we said we want to spend more time there.
- 1:40Dayna Roselli: We should go up there, hang out.
- 1:42Dayna Roselli: Great new spot.
- 1:43Dayna Roselli: So went there for an$8 drink during hot happy hour.
- 1:47Dayna Roselli: I had had quite a day after spending$1,600 on my car.
- 1:52Sean McAllister: So you needed a you needed happy hour.
- 1:54Dayna Roselli: So yes.
- 1:55Sean McAllister: To make you happy again.
- 1:56Dayna Roselli: I needed some happiness.
- 2:00Sean McAllister: Chased with pizza.
- 2:01Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 2:02Dayna Roselli: So there you go.
- 2:02Dayna Roselli: So it was a whole night of everything that makes me happy.
- 2:05Dayna Roselli: A dirty martini, and then uh just one, and then pizza and a Diet Coke after that.
- 2:12Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 2:12Dayna Roselli: So I went to Good Pie.
- 2:14Dayna Roselli: Uh it was great.
- 2:15Dayna Roselli: We sat at the bar because there weren't any tables or it was faster or whatever.
- 2:19Dayna Roselli: You know, we got our Diet Cokes, and we were talking to the bartender who was taking our order, and he was like helping us pick a pizza.
- 2:26Dayna Roselli: I was like, what do I do?
- 2:27Dayna Roselli: This is my first time.
- 2:28Dayna Roselli: I'm overwhelmed.
- 2:29Dayna Roselli: And I have never had Detroit-style pizza.
- 2:32Sean McAllister: I don't know that I specifically have sought out Detroit-style pizza.
- 2:37Sean McAllister: I know.
- 2:38Sean McAllister: Chicago, Brooklyn, like New York style with a thin crust.
- 2:42Dayna Roselli: Exactly.
- 2:42Dayna Roselli: And I think I don't know who I can't remember was talking about.
- 2:45Dayna Roselli: Oh, Detroit style is really good.
- 2:46Dayna Roselli: So anyway, it's stuck in my head.
- 2:48Dayna Roselli: But the great thing is, is they had a four-slice pizza of Detroit because it's thick.
- 2:52Dayna Roselli: So we thought, okay, great, we'll just get that.
- 2:54Dayna Roselli: Two for you, two for me, nice and easy, because we didn't know the sizing and all that.
- 2:58Dayna Roselli: And so we got it with pepperoni because he said the pepperoni was good and it's the kind that cup up at the top.
- 3:03Dayna Roselli: So anyway, it was delicious.
- 3:06Dayna Roselli: I absolutely loved it.
- 3:08Dayna Roselli: It hit the spot.
- 3:09Dayna Roselli: Let me tell you, two pieces was enough.
- 3:12Dayna Roselli: Uh then I put a little clip up on my Instagram story showing my friend Melissa.
- 3:17Dayna Roselli: We're like, oh, we went to good pie.
- 3:18Dayna Roselli: It was so good.
- 3:20Dayna Roselli: And then apparently you were influenced because then the next night you ordered good pie.
- 3:26Sean McAllister: Well, after I saw that clip that you posted, I slid into your DMs and I was like, oh my god, that looks so good.
- 3:35Sean McAllister: And you you wrote back, you were like, it is.
- 3:38Sean McAllister: I think I said it was.
- 3:39Sean McAllister: It was, yeah.
- 3:41Sean McAllister: So the next night we were trying to figure out what to do for dinner, and I told Shane, my husband, I was like, Did you see that that video that Dana put up on Instagram?
- 3:53Sean McAllister: That pizza looked amazing, and I kind of want it.
- 3:56Sean McAllister: So we ended up getting uh Grandma the Good Hot is what the pizza was called.
- 4:02Sean McAllister: And this was like a big not huge, but it's a rectangle pizza that had maybe eight slices, either six or eight slices.
- 4:12Sean McAllister: One slice, and I was full.
- 4:15Sean McAllister: But it was delicious.
- 4:17SPEAKER_05: I'm looking at it right now on the online.
- 4:19SPEAKER_05: Grandma the Good Hot.
- 4:20SPEAKER_05: Grandma the Good Hot.
- 4:21SPEAKER_05: Delicious.
- 4:22Sean McAllister: The Grandma the Good Hot.
- 4:24Sean McAllister: She's got the cupped pepperoni too.
- 4:26Sean McAllister: Okay, what else?
- 4:27Sean McAllister: And cheese.
- 4:28Sean McAllister: Uh, I think there were like sliced jalapenos on there.
- 4:32Sean McAllister: Onions?
- 4:32Sean McAllister: Is that onions?
- 4:33Sean McAllister: Yeah, there were onions on there.
- 4:34Sean McAllister: I like a good slice.
- 4:35Sean McAllister: Um, and there was something that added a little bit of sweetness.
- 4:38Sean McAllister: Uh also.
- 4:39Dayna Roselli: Well, did you get the Mike's hot honey with it?
- 4:41Sean McAllister: I did not.
- 4:42Dayna Roselli: It's an option.
- 4:43Sean McAllister: It it is an option.
- 4:44Sean McAllister: I don't think that I added that, but there was there was a little bit of sweetness, which I really liked.
- 4:50Dayna Roselli: Well, and uh my friend Angel, uh Angel Perino, she used to be an absinthe, all sorts of stuff.
- 4:56Dayna Roselli: Peep show, good friends with Holly Madison uh through the years.
- 4:59Dayna Roselli: Anyway, uh, big part of Las Vegas Entertainment.
- 5:02Dayna Roselli: She um wrote me and said to get the good pie and add Mike's Hot Honey and Ranch.
- 5:09Dayna Roselli: And so everyone was chiming in with what I needed to try.
- 5:12Dayna Roselli: I'm like, okay, hold your horses.
- 5:14Dayna Roselli: It took me like three years to get there to begin with.
- 5:17Dayna Roselli: But I mean, I feel like if I ever splurge, that might be my I mean, Grandma Johnny Be Good looks amazing.
- 5:23Dayna Roselli: Upside down grandma looks good.
- 5:25Dayna Roselli: A lot of grandma.
- 5:26Dayna Roselli: Upside down grandma.
- 5:27Dayna Roselli: We gotta go back.
- 5:28Dayna Roselli: I need to go back into the history of what grandma what's going on with grandma.
- 5:32Dayna Roselli: Like she's upside down all around.
- 5:34Sean McAllister: The grandma, the grandma pizza pizzas are all the rectangle ones.
- 5:38Dayna Roselli: Oh, okay.
- 5:39Sean McAllister: Because then they have like regular round Brooklyn, they have Brooklyn pizza, they have Detroit pizza.
- 5:45Dayna Roselli: So maybe it's the way grandma used to like it.
- 5:47Sean McAllister: Yeah, I don't know where grandma's from.
- 5:48Dayna Roselli: I don't know, but I like it.
- 5:49Dayna Roselli: I like the name.
- 5:50Dayna Roselli: But it was good.
- 5:50Dayna Roselli: Oh, it looks still anyway.
- 5:51Dayna Roselli: It was great, everyone.
- 5:52Dayna Roselli: There's a whole menu of different kinds.
- 5:54Dayna Roselli: I was looking through.
- 5:55Dayna Roselli: I mean, there's like the shrew, I mean the Johnny Be Good.
- 5:58Dayna Roselli: Oh, it just looks really good.
- 6:00Dayna Roselli: You also had a salad.
- 6:01Sean McAllister: Also got the Barada Caprace salad.
- 6:04Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 6:04Sean McAllister: And that was delicious too.
- 6:07Sean McAllister: I just love a burata.
- 6:08Sean McAllister: It's so yummy.
- 6:11Dayna Roselli: Well, there's also one in Seven Hills, uh Seven Hills Drive in Henderson.
- 6:16Dayna Roselli: Um, this was the one on Main Street in downtown Las Vegas.
- 6:19Dayna Roselli: So FYI, you can order online, you can go there in person.
- 6:22Dayna Roselli: By the way, Friday at I want to say this was like seven o'clock.
- 6:27Dayna Roselli: It was packed.
- 6:29Dayna Roselli: Packed.
- 6:29Dayna Roselli: Love to see it.
- 6:30Dayna Roselli: And when I left, um downtown was packed.
- 6:33Dayna Roselli: Every place was full.
- 6:34Dayna Roselli: So I love I just loved it.
- 6:36Dayna Roselli: It's such a great vibe down there or up there, depending on where you live.
- 6:40Sean McAllister: It is, it really is.
- 6:41Dayna Roselli: Um, quick parking note.
- 6:42Dayna Roselli: So I parked next to Melissa and she said, Oh, what are you gonna do?
- 6:46Dayna Roselli: I'm like, Oh, what two hours, you know, whatever.
- 6:49Dayna Roselli: And she was like, Yeah, or just you know, do the text.
- 6:52Dayna Roselli: And I'm like, Well, what do you mean?
- 6:53Dayna Roselli: I don't want to download the app and I never, you know, the parking app.
- 6:56Dayna Roselli: And I'm she's like, No, no, no.
- 6:57Dayna Roselli: When you go to she showed me, so I I don't know, I never picked up on this.
- 7:01Dayna Roselli: So when you park in downtown and you do the meter thing, you put in your license plate, right?
- 7:07Dayna Roselli: Instead of uh, well, you can do a printed receipt, but it there's a a button that says uh send me a text, and they send you the text, and then you get a text saying your time is starting to end.
- 7:21Dayna Roselli: What?
- 7:21Dayna Roselli: Do you want to add?
- 7:23Dayna Roselli: Yes, but this is like you don't have to have an app because I hate I don't know, there's something about for me having to sign up for an app.
- 7:30Dayna Roselli: Like I love Vegas near me because you don't need an email or username, but it's like any other app where it's gonna require me to put in my details.
- 7:37Sean McAllister: I have like three different parking apps on my phone for different parts.
- 7:41Sean McAllister: I mean, whether it's I'm going to the strip, there's one app downtown, there's another like there's it's all over the place.
- 7:48SPEAKER_05: Right.
- 7:48Dayna Roselli: Well, no.
- 7:49Dayna Roselli: This is I should go back and see if I still have the text.
- 7:52Dayna Roselli: Hold on.
- 7:52Sean McAllister: I would love to just yeah, anyway, so you just do it.
- 7:55Dayna Roselli: And so you I just added a half hour and that was it.
- 7:58Dayna Roselli: And then when I went, I was looking at my credit card thing, I was like, Yep, just added a little bit more.
- 8:03Dayna Roselli: And so it was pretty cool.
- 8:05Dayna Roselli: I loved it.
- 8:06Dayna Roselli: So I didn't, I had no idea about that all this time.
- 8:09Dayna Roselli: I'm like, what kind of and I say this in Vegas insider am I?
- 8:13Dayna Roselli: But I guess this is this is the I you know, I learned something new and now I've got a tip.
- 8:17Sean McAllister: I I didn't know that, and maybe this is going to prevent me from getting another parking ticket in downtown Las Vegas.
- 8:24Sean McAllister: Agree.
- 8:24Sean McAllister: I had several at this point, right?
- 8:26Sean McAllister: You have, and I need to not do that anymore.
- 8:28Sean McAllister: That's wasted money.
- 8:29Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 8:30Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so this was great.
- 8:31Dayna Roselli: Oh, here, here it is.
- 8:32Dayna Roselli: I found it.
- 8:32Dayna Roselli: Okay, so see, Las Vegas parking.
- 8:34Dayna Roselli: I got a thing.
- 8:35Dayna Roselli: Your parking expires at 7:38 p.m.
- 8:38Dayna Roselli: Um, check your ongoing parking and extend it at and there's a link.
- 8:42Dayna Roselli: And then a little confirmation, all my stuff, and then I just hit the link and I extended it.
- 8:49Dayna Roselli: See?
- 8:50Dayna Roselli: You just hit like extend and then and then it sent me another text and says your parking, uh oh no, sorry, your parking has been extended.
- 8:58Dayna Roselli: Confirmation.
- 8:59Dayna Roselli: It cost you two dollars and thirty-five cents.
- 9:01Sean McAllister: Oh amazing.
- 9:02Dayna Roselli: Yep, and then it said your parking expires at eight.
- 9:04Sean McAllister: Oh, how easy is that?
- 9:05Sean McAllister: I really I enjoy that a lot.
- 9:08Dayna Roselli: So anyway, great tip.
- 9:10Dayna Roselli: Had no idea.
- 9:10Dayna Roselli: So when you're on the screen, hit send me a text.
- 9:14Sean McAllister: It's one of the choices.
- 9:15Sean McAllister: Okay, send me a text.
- 9:16Dayna Roselli: Yeah, because I know there's print receipt, which I think you can also do, but I didn't get that.
- 9:21Dayna Roselli: I did the send, I like the print for my records, but I did that's why I always print it.
- 9:26Dayna Roselli: It's all coming to me now.
- 9:28Dayna Roselli: But now you have I did the send me a text instead.
- 9:31Sean McAllister: All right.
- 9:32Dayna Roselli: So there you have it.
- 9:33Sean McAllister: I'm gonna have to remember that.
- 9:34Sean McAllister: Yeah, and by the way, uh, that's not the only parking tip that we have.
- 9:38Sean McAllister: Coming up in tips, we have uh another suggestion and solution if you are headed to the Las Vegas airport.
- 9:46Sean McAllister: So that's coming up in just a few minutes.
- 9:49Sean McAllister: Right.
- 9:49Dayna Roselli: Uh, should we talk about American Music Awards?
- 9:52Dayna Roselli: It was a blast.
- 9:53Dayna Roselli: We've been leading up to it.
- 9:55Dayna Roselli: It was held in Las Vegas for the first time.
- 9:57Dayna Roselli: It was at the Fountain Blue, which was really cool.
- 10:01Dayna Roselli: And uh I want to say uh kudos to everyone at the Fountain Blue and the American Music Awards.
- 10:06Dayna Roselli: The purple carpet, because it was purple, not red, uh, was so smooth.
- 10:10Sean McAllister: It really did run really smoothly, and we've got Dana and I have each covered uh m many, many, many, many red carpets, and usually you are squished in there like sardines, like barely enough room for even one person to squeeze in sideways to stick a mic out and ask questions.
- 10:31Sean McAllister: Um this was it was roomy.
- 10:33Sean McAllister: It took over the entire like South Valet lobby at Fountain Blue.
- 10:39Dayna Roselli: And they had this like little wall, like this little barrier, but I didn't mind I liked it because everyone was on that side in the media.
- 10:45Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 10:46Dayna Roselli: It wasn't like someone was trying to get in front and leak through, and this person was crowding into your spot.
- 10:51Dayna Roselli: You know, that's what made it kind of nice.
- 10:53Dayna Roselli: And you could kind of lean over and talk to people, and it helped like the person that you were interviewing just kind of like be able to stand there, put a hand down on the wall.
- 11:03Sean McAllister: Like, I don't know, it was really nice.
- 11:05Sean McAllister: It felt a little more uh it felt like the conversations were a little more casual because they could like lean on the thing, and you were just like shooting the breeze with a friend.
- 11:16Dayna Roselli: I yeah, exactly.
- 11:18Dayna Roselli: Before we get to our interviews, let's just say uh Janet Jackson got the icon award, Rod Stewart got the Lifetime Achievement Award, both of them headliners in Las Vegas, and J Lo hosted and made a big announcement after the awards ended.
- 11:33Sean McAllister: Yeah, right after uh the American Music Awards went off the air, boom.
- 11:38Sean McAllister: We were notified Jennifer Lopez is doing another residency, this time over at the Coliseum at Caesars Palace.
- 11:44Sean McAllister: She has shows uh kicking it kicking it off over New Year's Eve weekend, and then she'll be back in March of 2026.
- 11:52Sean McAllister: Um, but she like after the show, she went out with a bunch of her friends, got on the top of a double decker bus, like riding down the strip, playing J-Lo's hits.
- 12:03Sean McAllister: It looked like a party.
- 12:04Dayna Roselli: It did.
- 12:04Dayna Roselli: Well, she's back in her single era, you know?
- 12:07Dayna Roselli: She's has a lot of those.
- 12:08Sean McAllister: Back in the single era and the Vegas residency era.
- 12:12Dayna Roselli: Up and down, up and down, right?
- 12:13Dayna Roselli: She's having fun.
- 12:14Sean McAllister: But her shows are good.
- 12:15Dayna Roselli: Listen, YOLO, she was kissing everyone in that opening scene.
- 12:21Sean McAllister: That was a lot of kissing performance, I guess you'd call it.
- 12:24Sean McAllister: Uh-huh.
- 12:25Sean McAllister: In that sparkly bodysuit.
- 12:27Dayna Roselli: She looks great though.
- 12:28Dayna Roselli: She does.
- 12:28Dayna Roselli: You know, she sounded good.
- 12:29Dayna Roselli: The dancing was great.
- 12:30Dayna Roselli: I mean, she puts on a great show.
- 12:32Dayna Roselli: Um, I just think no matter what, you're not gonna have a bad time, and you are going to love J Lo in Vegas.
- 12:40Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 12:41Dayna Roselli: So if you want to see J Lo, now's your chance.
- 12:44Dayna Roselli: Coliseum, interesting.
- 12:45Dayna Roselli: It'll be great to see her over there.
- 12:47Dayna Roselli: She was at Planet Hollywood I don't know, what what was that?
- 12:50Dayna Roselli: Eight years ago?
- 12:51Sean McAllister: Several years ago.
- 12:52Dayna Roselli: Yeah, a while now, because time flies.
- 12:54Sean McAllister: But um But that was a great show.
- 12:56Dayna Roselli: It was great.
- 12:57Dayna Roselli: Yeah, a lot of people said that.
- 12:58Dayna Roselli: I never saw it.
- 12:59Sean McAllister: So high energy.
- 13:00Sean McAllister: She, when she gets out on stage to do a show, she leaves it all out there.
- 13:06Sean McAllister: And you can tell.
- 13:07Dayna Roselli: I have friends that went to that show and said it was great, yeah, just like you did.
- 13:10Dayna Roselli: So I've seen her, I saw her at a Caesars um, there was like a gala celebrating a certain number of years, and she was there.
- 13:17Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and she did one little song, but I haven't actually seen her show in person.
- 13:22Dayna Roselli: So um, listen, you can't beat J Lo.
- 13:24Dayna Roselli: She's a lot of action, and she's very, you know, when you talk Vegas and over the top, I feel like she's part of it, right?
- 13:30Sean McAllister: It's a good spot for her for sure.
- 13:32Dayna Roselli: Well, uh, we talked to talk about icons, uh Peppa of Salt and Peppa.
- 13:38Dayna Roselli: Yes, at the American Music Awards.
- 13:42Dayna Roselli: She was looking fabulous.
- 13:44Dayna Roselli: Um, also ran into Sophie Tucker, and they are a musical duo that hit the nightclubs and the pool clubs.
- 13:52Dayna Roselli: And I went to see them at Tao Beach a couple years ago.
- 13:56Dayna Roselli: Loved them.
- 13:58Dayna Roselli: They their energy is great, the music they play, fantastic.
- 14:01Dayna Roselli: And now they are over at XS and Encore Beach Club.
- 14:07Dayna Roselli: And both of these people, well, there's three because Sophie Tucker's two people and Peppo.
- 14:13Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 14:14Dayna Roselli: Uh, told us they moved here.
- 14:15Dayna Roselli: So I was like, I I'm loving this, hearing this.
- 14:18Sean McAllister: I know.
- 14:19Sean McAllister: We were like, wait a second.
- 14:21Sean McAllister: First of all, there are so many uh celebrities who live in Las Vegas that you would never even you wouldn't even know.
- 14:29Sean McAllister: Right.
- 14:29Sean McAllister: That this is just home base.
- 14:31Sean McAllister: It's where they come to chill at at home.
- 14:33Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 14:34Sean McAllister: And maybe run to the grocery store, but it's not highly publicized.
- 14:39Sean McAllister: So it was fun to find that out.
- 14:41Dayna Roselli: It really was.
- 14:41Dayna Roselli: So let's run those interviews.
- 14:43Dayna Roselli: We'll start with Peppa and then we'll go into So Sophie Tucker.
- 14:46SPEAKER_00: Love Vegas.
- 14:47SPEAKER_00: I I everybody, I'm like a spokesperson, right?
- 14:49SPEAKER_00: I'm like, oh my god, I'm like, it's amazing.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: I'm in Henderson, so it's beautiful.
- 14:53SPEAKER_00: I do whatever, you know, everyone comes here.
- 14:55SPEAKER_00: So they're always like, I'm in town, what's up?
- 14:57SPEAKER_00: You know, someone's gotta be prepared for guests.
- 15:00SPEAKER_00: But I love it out here in Lake Las Vegas, too.
- 15:02SPEAKER_00: Everything.
- 15:03SPEAKER_00: You know, we've just been with the rock and roll, Hall of Fame.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: We just got inducted, so that's amazing.
- 15:08SPEAKER_00: Um, the girls, you know, spend the bellas doing hot things, the mugs doing her thing.
- 15:12SPEAKER_00: I'm still doing what I love, which is on tour still.
- 15:15SPEAKER_00: Um, hits and harmony, got special guests coming up.
- 15:18SPEAKER_00: You'll see that soon.
- 15:19SPEAKER_00: Um, but yeah, I'm just excited to be here.
- 15:22SPEAKER_00: I'm here to see Jamina do her thing.
- 15:25SPEAKER_00: And I'm just all of this.
- 15:27SPEAKER_00: Vegas I gotta come through.
- 15:31Dayna Roselli: So music has changed so much over the years, but I noticed like everything kind of that was from like 10, 20 years ago is coming back.
- 15:39Dayna Roselli: And that's gonna feel good for you.
- 15:40Dayna Roselli: It's kind of like a pioneer of.
- 15:42SPEAKER_00: Because I'm here to stay.
- 15:43SPEAKER_00: They can't get away from the maybe.
- 15:45SPEAKER_00: It's like that time it was happy was mom, the music was hum, the passion, you know, everything about it.
- 15:53SPEAKER_00: So I love that everything they always hold on to it.
- 15:56SPEAKER_00: But money's like me is great.
- 15:59SPEAKER_02: I love it.
- 15:59SPEAKER_02: I'm about to have it.
- 16:02SPEAKER_02: Welcome to the top.
- 16:03SPEAKER_02: We just crazy over some hubby.
- 16:06SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna move.
- 16:09SPEAKER_07: I mean, it's amazing.
- 16:11SPEAKER_07: He's been like slowly convincing me over time.
- 16:14SPEAKER_07: Like I yellow, I can really yell in the month.
- 16:19Dayna Roselli: I can give you the random mummy, yum, okay.
- 16:21Dayna Roselli: Tax recent, right?
- 16:23Dayna Roselli: Easy to get to the airport.
- 16:25Dayna Roselli: Okay, um affordable, affordable, and the airport is international, so you go anywhere you want to live to LA.
- 16:34Dayna Roselli: Right?
- 16:34Dayna Roselli: Um it's really hot in the summer, but the rest of the year is perfect.
- 16:38SPEAKER_02: There you go.
- 16:39SPEAKER_02: Um Best Entertainment.
- 16:43SPEAKER_02: Um musical and best friend lives here.
- 16:48SPEAKER_07: I mean you're a lot, I basically live here too now.
- 16:51SPEAKER_02: We're about to win this this year.
- 16:53SPEAKER_02: Um residency is an on her beach club in excess.
- 16:57SPEAKER_02: So you gotta come.
- 17:00SPEAKER_02: And then it's so funny.
- 17:02SPEAKER_02: And then we're all over the place.
- 17:04SPEAKER_02: We do a whole year of tour in July.
- 17:06SPEAKER_02: Uh, we just played bottom rock this weekend.
- 17:09Sean McAllister: And Dana, I love how you ran down the list of benefits of living in Las Vegas.
- 17:13Dayna Roselli: I know, right?
- 17:14Dayna Roselli: And then they started adding to it.
- 17:16Dayna Roselli: I was like, come on, sold.
- 17:18Dayna Roselli: Um, but yeah, they're great.
- 17:20Dayna Roselli: Both interviews, so great.
- 17:21Dayna Roselli: Uh, I loved chatting with them.
- 17:23Dayna Roselli: And there's more where that came from.
- 17:24Dayna Roselli: We interviewed so many people.
- 17:25Dayna Roselli: U in future episodes, we'll share more.
- 17:27Dayna Roselli: We interviewed Nikki Glacer, who was fantastic, hilarious, right?
- 17:32Dayna Roselli: Um, we also talked to uh Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt.
- 17:38Dayna Roselli: Love them.
- 17:38Dayna Roselli: Funny, like they're just they're good people, both of them.
- 17:43Dayna Roselli: Spidey, as we used to call them from the hills.
- 17:45Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 17:45Dayna Roselli: Um, but they recently lost their house in the California fires, and Heidi has music out now, and they're just trying to, you know, get enough money to rebuild for their kids.
- 17:54Dayna Roselli: So we'll have all that.
- 17:55Sean McAllister: And also uh we talked a loud luxury.
- 17:58Sean McAllister: This is a DJ duo, uh, who have been playing Las Vegas now since uh 2018, I believe, is when they first came to town, and that's when I interviewed them for the first time.
- 18:09Sean McAllister: Right.
- 18:10Sean McAllister: So we had a little bit of a reunion on the carpet, which was fun.
- 18:14Dayna Roselli: Yes, that was really fun.
- 18:16Dayna Roselli: Um, you also interviewed uh Kaylani.
- 18:21Sean McAllister: Yeah, she has a series of shows at Live over at Fountain Blue, and she is spicy.
- 18:30SPEAKER_05: Oh, she is.
- 18:31SPEAKER_05: I like her.
- 18:32Sean McAllister: She brought it, and uh she was like, you know, she was like, if you're coming to one of my shows, if you're a girl, wear flats because I want you dancing on the tables.
- 18:44Sean McAllister: Yeah, and she was like, actually, wear heels.
- 18:47Sean McAllister: If you're one of the girls who can get up on a table and dance in heels, you are one of my girls.
- 18:54Dayna Roselli: Yeah, she was great, really enjoyed talking to her.
- 18:57Dayna Roselli: We saw Benson Boone there, but he was in high demand.
- 19:01Dayna Roselli: A lot of people needed to talk to him, and he had his whole family there.
- 19:05Dayna Roselli: Love to see it.
- 19:06SPEAKER_08: Yep.
- 19:06Dayna Roselli: Um, and then he did his performance.
- 19:08Dayna Roselli: It was great.
- 19:09Dayna Roselli: He did his flip that he's known for.
- 19:11Dayna Roselli: Uh, he sold out his show here in Las Vegas, so we're hoping that he adds another.
- 19:16Dayna Roselli: We've talked about that before.
- 19:18Dayna Roselli: Who else did we see?
- 19:19Sean McAllister: Uh there was uh Heidi Klum.
- 19:22Dayna Roselli: Yep.
- 19:22Sean McAllister: There was Zach Brown.
- 19:24Dayna Roselli: There was Oh, my new bestie, Machine Gun Kelly.
- 19:27Sean McAllister: Machine Gun MGK.
- 19:30Dayna Roselli: So here's the funny.
- 19:32Dayna Roselli: We know who Machine Gun Kelly is, and you know, like know enough about him.
- 19:37Dayna Roselli: But I was like, I wonder if he's got anything new going on.
- 19:39Dayna Roselli: And you were like, oh, let's see.
- 19:40Dayna Roselli: Oh, look, he's got this new music video out.
- 19:42Sean McAllister: Called cliche.
- 19:43Dayna Roselli: And I was like, he does.
- 19:44Dayna Roselli: And so we were watching it.
- 19:45Dayna Roselli: I was like, I like this video.
- 19:47Dayna Roselli: And you were you were saying it looks a little boy band-ish, right?
- 19:50Dayna Roselli: Some of the moves.
- 19:51Sean McAllister: He does like this whole choreograph, the entire thing is machine gun Kelly dancing, and it's it's hilarious.
- 19:59Sean McAllister: The song, I've seen people online talking about it, and they're like, This is the song of the summer.
- 20:04Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 20:05Sean McAllister: So cliche by MGK.
- 20:07Dayna Roselli: So is he making fun of the boy band?
- 20:09Sean McAllister: I think he's making fun of but he's good at it.
- 20:12Sean McAllister: He's great at it.
- 20:13Dayna Roselli: So because you showed me that, you saved the day because he was walking by in order to exit, like to get out, because he had done a bunch of interviews, and people are like, Hey, one more over here.
- 20:23Sean McAllister: This is like time for the show to start.
- 20:25Dayna Roselli: Yes, time for the show to start.
- 20:26Dayna Roselli: And um, actually, he ended up like leaving and getting on a plane.
- 20:29Dayna Roselli: Something about his kid was sick, but and so that people are talking about that.
- 20:32Dayna Roselli: I don't think he actually made the show.
- 20:34Dayna Roselli: So yeah, he's walking by, and so I shouted, I love your new video.
- 20:39Dayna Roselli: Because I do love it.
- 20:40Dayna Roselli: We loved it.
- 20:41Dayna Roselli: We were like, This is a good video, and he stopped.
- 20:44Dayna Roselli: That's how you get their attention.
- 20:45Dayna Roselli: You just, you know, give a little, you know, compliment.
- 20:48Dayna Roselli: Um, but I really did.
- 20:49Dayna Roselli: I said it, um, you know, and he was like, You do thank you so much, and that means so much to me.
- 20:53Dayna Roselli: It makes me so happy.
- 20:54Dayna Roselli: And I was like, I like your moves.
- 20:56Dayna Roselli: And then he joked around and said it was AI, but I don't know, maybe it is.
- 21:00Sean McAllister: I don't think so.
- 21:01Sean McAllister: No, okay.
- 21:02Sean McAllister: No, I think that was just that was a funny little quip on the carpet.
- 21:05Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 21:06Sean McAllister: Uh Shabuzi was also there.
- 21:08Sean McAllister: Becky G, uh Sizza.
- 21:10Sean McAllister: Yep.
- 21:11Sean McAllister: Uh, gosh, there were so many Estefan.
- 21:14Sean McAllister: Gloria Estefan, who hadn't performed at the American Music Awards in 30 years.
- 21:19unknown: Yeah.
- 21:20Sean McAllister: She got up, did her whole, her whole thing.
- 21:23Dayna Roselli: Kudos to the Easy Day Foundation who partnered uh to bring veteran causes to light.
- 21:30Dayna Roselli: And it was wonderful to see all the military members there on the red carpet first, before any of the celebrities walked the carpet uh to honor them.
- 21:39Dayna Roselli: There's people saying, Oh, Memorial Day is not about, you know, it's it's about um, you know, active duty military that died and more.
- 21:45Dayna Roselli: I'm like, we know that, but since it was on Memorial Day, you know, they wanted to bring at least uh um awareness to veteran services, our military in general.
- 21:55Dayna Roselli: And this was a great tie in.
- 21:57Dayna Roselli: They did so many wonderful things, gave away an award.
- 22:00Dayna Roselli: And yeah.
- 22:01Dayna Roselli: Because we saw Zach Scott.
- 22:02Dayna Roselli: Zach Brown.
- 22:03Dayna Roselli: Who debuted a new relationship?
- 22:05Sean McAllister: He did.
- 22:06Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 22:07Dayna Roselli: With um the jewelry.
- 22:10Dayna Roselli: Kendra Scott.
- 22:11Dayna Roselli: Kendra Scott.
- 22:12Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 22:12Sean McAllister: I was waiting for it to pop into my head.
- 22:14Dayna Roselli: I buy a lot of her stuff.
- 22:15Dayna Roselli: She was there with him, and it was a big coming out party.
- 22:19Sean McAllister: Our friend uh Robin was there to uh help us out as a carpet.
- 22:24Sean McAllister: And as soon as Zach Brown and Kendra they walked over, they were taking a few pictures right in front of us, and she was like, Who is that?
- 22:32Sean McAllister: I know her.
- 22:33Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 22:34Sean McAllister: I know her.
- 22:35Sean McAllister: Who is that?
- 22:36Sean McAllister: And then after the fact, I looked up, I was like, holy cow, that was Kendra Scott, and they debuted the relationship there.
- 22:45Dayna Roselli: They did.
- 22:46Dayna Roselli: So that was fun.
- 22:47Dayna Roselli: And then we picked figured that out after.
- 22:49Dayna Roselli: And I was reading our friend Melinda Shekel's article.
- 22:52Dayna Roselli: And that was one of her like behind the scenes tidbits.
- 22:56Dayna Roselli: Like seven things you didn't see at the awards or something like that.
- 23:01Dayna Roselli: And that was one of them.
- 23:02Dayna Roselli: And I was like, okay.
- 23:03Dayna Roselli: Uh so yeah, it was a great time.
- 23:04Dayna Roselli: I feel like we could go on and on.
- 23:06Dayna Roselli: We're gonna share some more interviews uh coming up in the next few weeks and sprinkle them out for you.
- 23:11Sean McAllister: But the big headline, Taylor Swift did not show up and did not make a big announcement.
- 23:17Dayna Roselli: No.
- 23:18Dayna Roselli: Which I feel like we kind of already knew, but the Swifties did not.
- 23:21Dayna Roselli: They really thought maybe she was gonna sneak something in there.
- 23:24Dayna Roselli: And can I just say, I am so like But she gets headlines even when she's not I know, I know.
- 23:30Dayna Roselli: Okay, so go ahead.
- 23:32Sean McAllister: But these people who are trying to decode all of these like they say there's all these Easter eggs that Taylor is dropping.
- 23:39Sean McAllister: She always does.
- 23:40Sean McAllister: And how is there enough time in your life to actually sit down and go through and be like, oh, this 26% merch sale on Taylor's website means that something is gonna happen on the 26th.
- 23:55Sean McAllister: Right.
- 23:56Sean McAllister: Or whatever.
- 23:57Sean McAllister: I mean, there were so many little things like that.
- 24:00Sean McAllister: And after seeing some of the TikTok videos, I was like, man, these are dedicated fans.
- 24:06Dayna Roselli: Dedicated.
- 24:07Sean McAllister: Dedicated to the max.
- 24:08Dayna Roselli: I mean, every little thing.
- 24:10Dayna Roselli: And sometimes they're right.
- 24:11Dayna Roselli: It's just that it all adds up to something.
- 24:13Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 24:14Dayna Roselli: So they're paying attention.
- 24:15Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 24:15Dayna Roselli: It's like kind of like who has time, right?
- 24:18Dayna Roselli: But you and I, you know, we spend our time looking up Vegas stuff and being into Vegas stuff, you know.
- 24:24Sean McAllister: Being on top of everything that happens.
- 24:26Sean McAllister: Right.
- 24:26Dayna Roselli: So if our thing was Taylor Swift only and that was our, you know, our spare time, that's what we did.
- 24:33Sean McAllister: And if we had a TikTok account that was dedicated to Taylor Swift sightings and nuggets.
- 24:38Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 24:39Sean McAllister: Yeah, that is very true.
- 24:40Sean McAllister: That's a good point.
- 24:41Dayna Roselli: That's the thing.
- 24:42Dayna Roselli: But she, yeah, she makes headlines even when she's not making headlines.
- 24:45Dayna Roselli: But um she usually just sits back and she just did that long tour.
- 24:49Dayna Roselli: She always kind of goes away and then just pops back out with something something.
- 24:53Dayna Roselli: But this time I feel like this is a long a long, well-deserved break.
- 24:57Dayna Roselli: And she could be literally recording another album, as we speak.
- 25:00SPEAKER_08: Could be.
- 25:01Dayna Roselli: Because that's what she does.
- 25:02Dayna Roselli: She writes, she could have been in between the tour writing things, you know, happening in her life, and then now she's recording and and she's gonna surprise us with something next year.
- 25:11Sean McAllister: So all right.
- 25:12Sean McAllister: Well, but moral of that story, Taylor was not there.
- 25:16Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 25:16Dayna Roselli: Um, what time are we at in this show?
- 25:19Sean McAllister: Uh we're just over 20 minutes, 24 minutes-ish.
- 25:22Dayna Roselli: All right, well, let's get to this new restaurant, Nudo Italiano in Southern Highlands.
- 25:28Dayna Roselli: The Mortons have been opening restaurants for years and years and years.
- 25:32Dayna Roselli: Uh they have Lacave at the Wynn.
- 25:37Sean McAllister: At the Wynn, which was uh it's been there since Wynn opened.
- 25:41Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 25:41Dayna Roselli: They have one steakhouse at Virgin and so many more.
- 25:44Dayna Roselli: They talk about this in this interview that we did with them.
- 25:47Dayna Roselli: And, you know, we posted some clips on social media, and I realized people really love the Mortons.
- 25:52Dayna Roselli: And we're talking about Jenna and Michael Morton.
- 25:54Dayna Roselli: They are so well known uh in Las Vegas, and I thought, let's just share the whole thing.
- 26:00Dayna Roselli: And if we talk about it, we'll give away some of the stuff they're gonna talk about right now.
- 26:05Sean McAllister: So take a listen to that conversation at the opening of Nudo Italiano, the Morton's very first neighborhood restaurant.
- 26:12unknown: Welcome to Nudo.
- 26:14SPEAKER_01: You know, we wanted to do our first neighborhood project because we've done everything in the resort corridor for 30 years, and we were actually looking in a different neighborhood up in Summerlin.
- 26:23SPEAKER_01: When we first came across this, um, I said, no, we're not really interested in Southern Highlands.
- 26:27SPEAKER_01: Said, come and see this, it's a great building.
- 26:29SPEAKER_01: And we looked at it, we started looking around Southern Highlands and said, wow, this is a great part of town.
- 26:35SPEAKER_01: There's very few dining options, and here we are.
- 26:38SPEAKER_04: We don't have an Italian restaurant right now, and we love Italian, so that's why we did Italian, and our chef, Chef William DiMarco, also is Italian.
- 26:48SPEAKER_01: The first thing we did here was the big nightclub in 1995.
- 26:52SPEAKER_01: And it was the first big nightclub in town, and all the hotels supported us, which didn't last long, because little did I know, if we had something that worked, they all were gonna have that in their own hotels.
- 27:01SPEAKER_01: So that's what it started with.
- 27:02SPEAKER_01: There was a restaurant there too.
- 27:03SPEAKER_01: It's called Drink, and it opened in May of '95.
- 27:06SPEAKER_01: And then we just kind of went on to do different projects.
- 27:08SPEAKER_01: We had several places in the Palms and really an heyday with the Maloofs, which was an incredible honor and experience.
- 27:15SPEAKER_01: And I you know, I say this humbly, uh, Steve Wynn let us be our first tenant.
- 27:20SPEAKER_01: Food and beverage tenant in the win.
- 27:22SPEAKER_01: Um uh 15 years ago.
- 27:25SPEAKER_01: And we're still there.
- 27:27SPEAKER_01: Um and we've had, you know, we've got a great steakhouse at Virgin, we've got a restaurant at the MG um at the MGM Grand.
- 27:33SPEAKER_01: But we're so excited to be, you know, in the neighborhood.
- 27:37Dayna Roselli: Well, what do you think made has made you guys so successful?
- 27:40Dayna Roselli: What do you think the recipe is?
- 27:41Dayna Roselli: I mean, because you know, a lot of people go into the restaurant business and it doesn't go well.
- 27:45SPEAKER_01: No, it doesn't end well for most people, um, unfortunately.
- 27:48SPEAKER_01: A lot of them, you know, have done other things for their whole lives, and then they compete against people like us, and that's all we do, and we're, you know, that are professionals in it.
- 27:57SPEAKER_01: Um, I don't know.
- 27:58SPEAKER_01: I think we've had a good knack of being really good consumers and trying to understand what people like.
- 28:02SPEAKER_01: And then the physical planet is so important.
- 28:05SPEAKER_01: We've always probably overspent on every project we've done.
- 28:08SPEAKER_01: Because you get a you get one chance to build it right for the for the life of it, and we maintain it well.
- 28:13SPEAKER_01: The minute a property starts to look a little tired to me is usually the beginning of the uh you know, of the downward trend.
- 28:19SPEAKER_01: So I I think our pro our restaurants and and you know uh venues look better years later because we've you know we've learned to improve them better, and we just don't stop working hard, we've got great people and great food, and I think we just inherently care about people and treat people.
- 28:35SPEAKER_01: I'm from Chicago, we say it's a big city, but it's still the Midwest.
- 28:39SPEAKER_01: And we're Midwestern people, I think, in our roots.
- 28:41SPEAKER_01: And we like, you know, we treat people well, and and as they should be treated well.
- 28:46SPEAKER_04: And I think the other the other answer to that though is really what Michael said is our people.
- 28:50SPEAKER_04: Because we it's it's our team members that make the experience good for the guests, right?
- 28:58SPEAKER_04: They're the front line with the guests, and so it's not just about the it's about the guests, and it's about the food, but it's equally as much a a part about our team and how we treat them and how they feel when they come to work.
- 29:12SPEAKER_01: Our pizzas are amazing.
- 29:14SPEAKER_01: It's wood burning.
- 29:15SPEAKER_01: Um, we use the you know the UNESCO World Heritage standard for Neapolitan pizzas.
- 29:19SPEAKER_01: All the breads are made in-house, all the pastas are made in-house, and I know this is kind of like what everybody says, but the menu I think is really solid.
- 29:27SPEAKER_01: But the pizzas and pastas are what you know what speak to me for a great Italian experience.
- 29:34Sean McAllister: So again, Nudo Italiano, uh, the new restaurant in Southern Highlands that's in the uh southwest part of the Las Vegas Valley.
- 29:42Sean McAllister: Uh now open, now serving.
- 29:44Sean McAllister: The first neighborhood restaurant from uh Jenna and Michael Morton.
- 29:49Sean McAllister: And it was great talking with them.
- 29:50Sean McAllister: I feel like we could sit down and do an entire huge conversation with them about all facets of their uh experience in nightlife, hospitality, dining.
- 30:05Sean McAllister: They've they've had their hands in so much.
- 30:07Dayna Roselli: So much.
- 30:07Dayna Roselli: And listen, the palms was one of the hottest properties going uh when they had the nightclubs and restaurants in there.
- 30:15Dayna Roselli: So yeah, they certainly know what they are doing.
- 30:18Dayna Roselli: Nudo is on the corner of Cactus and Arville in Southern Highlands.
- 30:24Dayna Roselli: It's the northern part of Southern Highlands, wouldn't you say?
- 30:27Dayna Roselli: Kind of before you start to get into the deep neighborhoods and stuff.
- 30:31Dayna Roselli: So go check them out.
- 30:33Sean McAllister: All right, let's get to our tips.
- 30:38Sean McAllister: Okay, earlier uh in this episode, we were talking about parking in downtown Las Vegas, and we mentioned there is a tip coming up about parking at the Las Vegas airport.
- 30:49Sean McAllister: Well, here it is.
- 30:51Sean McAllister: You can now reserve parking online so that you don't have to show up at the airport before your flight, wonder if the garage is full, if you're gonna have to go to the satellite lot and take a shuttle over.
- 31:06Dayna Roselli: That's stressful.
- 31:07Dayna Roselli: I can't who's got time for that?
- 31:09Dayna Roselli: Nobody.
- 31:10Sean McAllister: Right.
- 31:11Sean McAllister: Nobody does.
- 31:12Sean McAllister: So now you can go to parking.com and it takes you through all the steps you need, four easy steps, by the way, to reserve a parking spot.
- 31:24Sean McAllister: And then if you go to uh the airport's Instagram, they have a video that walks you through exactly how to find your reserved spot as well.
- 31:35Sean McAllister: Uh but we wanted to let you know this because this is this could be a huge time saver and a huge headache avoider.
- 31:44Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 31:45Dayna Roselli: If you are one that likes to park at the airport, some people love to park at the airport, some people don't.
- 31:49Dayna Roselli: It's over in taxi no matter what.
- 31:51Dayna Roselli: So I don't like to park at the airport because of that reason, though.
- 31:55Sean McAllister: Well, and it's happened to me.
- 31:56Sean McAllister: I've I've driven up, gone up to the parking garage only to see one of the signs there that says garage full.
- 32:02Sean McAllister: I'm like, oh, you've got to be kidding me.
- 32:04Sean McAllister: I didn't plan enough time for this.
- 32:06Sean McAllister: Because you know me, I like to go 45 minutes before the flight takes on.
- 32:09Sean McAllister: I know.
- 32:09Dayna Roselli: So I don't got time to worry about if there's a yeah, so this is great.
- 32:12Dayna Roselli: Um, so like Sean mentioned, the social media is at LAS Airport, just so you know, and they have a step-by-step reel on there to show you how to do it.
- 32:22Dayna Roselli: But just go to the website, it breaks it all down.
- 32:24Dayna Roselli: You can pick your spot.
- 32:25Dayna Roselli: Uh, yeah, nobody has time to stress about that.
- 32:28Dayna Roselli: By the way, Sean, when I was Ubering to the airport last month, I noticed a family walking to the airport, like you said.
- 32:35Dayna Roselli: And I remember I said I've never seen that happen.
- 32:37SPEAKER_08: Yes.
- 32:38Dayna Roselli: This was a family with two kids.
- 32:40Dayna Roselli: They had big backpack luggage on, and even the Uber driver was like, Oh, look at the I mean, I literally, my heart, I think like if I wasn't in an Uber and I was driving, I might pick up at least the kids.
- 32:53Sean McAllister: Let the parents get there.
- 32:54Dayna Roselli: Yeah, hey, I'm gonna bring your kid to they probably wouldn't let that happen.
- 32:57Dayna Roselli: Um, but um, or go like, you know, because I wouldn't have enough room for all their stuff, so I'd maybe make two trips.
- 33:03Dayna Roselli: But anyway, yeah, I I felt for them because they must not have realized how far the airport is from the strip to walk.
- 33:10Sean McAllister: Maybe this needs to be a a quick tip that we add every single episode.
- 33:15Sean McAllister: Don't walk to the airport.
- 33:17Dayna Roselli: Do not walk to the airport, it's not safe, it's it looks close, it's not close.
- 33:22Dayna Roselli: That from Tropicana all the way down to passengers.
- 33:26Dayna Roselli: It's a long way.
- 33:27Dayna Roselli: It's a long way.
- 33:29Dayna Roselli: I was like, oh, their backs are poor little backs.
- 33:31Dayna Roselli: It was just awful.
- 33:32Dayna Roselli: I felt my heart, I was like, I can't believe this is happening.
- 33:35Sean McAllister: Oh, and if you have a kid who's like, oh, I don't want to walk anymore, my feet hurt.
- 33:39Dayna Roselli: But the kids were actually away in front of the parents.
- 33:42Sean McAllister: Oh, okay.
- 33:42Sean McAllister: So they wanted to get there.
- 33:44Sean McAllister: They were like, enough of this baloney, let's just get there.
- 33:47Dayna Roselli: Exactly.
