- 0:45Speaker 2: and I do nothing without my girl, Desiree.
- 0:49Speaker 3: That's all right. That's all right. That's all right. That's
- 0:52Speaker 3: all right. That's all right. That's all right.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Let me say, Jessica, I'm so excited because the last
- 0:56Speaker 2: couple times I missed my song because I couldn't get
- 0:58Speaker 2: the buttons right.
- 0:59Speaker 3: Yeah. You were tripping hard. It wasn't me. It was
- 1:02Speaker 3: the system.
- 1:03Speaker 1: It was.
- 1:03Speaker 2: You know, it was doing some new stuff and our
- 1:05Speaker 2: new studio manager had to help me you know, get
- 1:08Speaker 2: myself together.
- 1:09Speaker 3: So I'm excited that I got the buttons right today.
- 1:12Speaker 3: I'm excited. What else are you excited about today, Desi?
- 1:14Speaker 1: Oh, my, my, my.
- 1:15Speaker 3: Oh, she came in like a rushing gun. Oh, my, my, my.
- 1:18Speaker 2: I don't... I feel a rushing wind. I was prepared
- 1:22Speaker 2: but not prepared.
- 1:23Speaker 3: Like, you know... But I tried to warn you, though.
- 1:24Speaker 3: I mean, you did, but, you know... I tried to
- 1:27Speaker 3: warn you. So I say this every time, y'all. Mm-hmm.
- 1:31Speaker 3: Buckle up, Buttercup, because.
- 1:32Speaker 2: We were supposed to start about 25 minutes ago. The
- 1:37Speaker 2: woman of God came and sat down, grabbed my hand,
- 1:41Speaker 2: looked at Desiree, and gave us the word of the Lord.
- 1:46Speaker 3: I'm just telling y'all now. We don't know. We don't.
- 1:52Speaker 3: The Lord know.
- 1:53Speaker 2: So whatever you have petitioned on the altar, just be prepared.
- 1:59Speaker 2: Because the thing about it is, Desiree, is that people
- 2:02Speaker 2: know me as this podcast expert now.
- 2:05Speaker 3: That's weird to say, but.
- 2:07Speaker 2: People understand that I have an understanding of the podcasting world.
- 2:10Speaker 2: And one of the things that I teach is episode outlines, right?
- 2:14Speaker 2: How to outline your episode so you can know the flow,
- 2:16Speaker 2: so you can be flexible with it, but also structured, right?
- 2:20Speaker 2: So we've been structuring our episodes as what's the big question? Like,
- 2:24Speaker 2: what question are we answering? So that's just a tidbit.
- 2:28Speaker 2: I struggled with the big question for this. And I
- 2:31Speaker 2: think being able to understand there is a need for
- 2:36Speaker 2: when the marketplace language is necessary. But when somebody got
- 2:41Speaker 2: oil and a lot of it yield to the Holy Ghost.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Okay.
- 2:49Speaker 2: So today I am beyond excited and beyond honored to
- 2:56Speaker 2: welcome my new big sister. that immediately we just clicked, right?
- 3:04Speaker 4: We met through TEDx Alabaster.
- 3:07Speaker 2: We both were on 2026 TEDx Alabaster stage.
- 3:11Speaker 3: And baby, she taught us how to float like a river, okay?
- 3:14Speaker 3: She taught us that we might have a lazy river,
- 3:17Speaker 3: we might have a rushing river, but it need to
- 3:19Speaker 3: be a river because it need to stay connected, okay?
- 3:22Speaker 2: Not only is she a TEDx speaker, And not only
- 3:30Speaker 2: is she a wife, a mother, an educator, what we're
- 3:37Speaker 2: going to get.
- 3:37Speaker 3: Today is a daughter of a king. That's it.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Her obedience has made room for her, and I'm really
- 3:44Speaker 2: excited for what we're about to talk about. So I
- 3:48Speaker 2: introduce to some and present to others my big sister.
- 3:52Speaker 4: Kimberly Davis.
- 3:59Speaker 2: And she smell good.
- 4:07Speaker 3: She smell like heaven itself. She smell like she did
- 4:11Speaker 3: not belong in the cell. Straight down. Oh, my God.
- 4:15Speaker 3: That is so funny. You are so funny. No, you're funny.
- 4:20Speaker 3: I am. You are hilarious. I know. I'm so glad
- 4:24Speaker 3: God put me in your pathway. Me too.
- 4:28Speaker 4: Like, we clicked. Like, we clicked. Like, we met and
- 4:31Speaker 4: we was like, okay.
- 4:33Speaker 3: Locked in.
- 4:34Speaker 4: Ain't no switching up. Let me tell y'all. I think
- 4:36Speaker 4: I told y'all this.
- 4:37Speaker 2: I don't know if I told y'all this in one
- 4:40Speaker 2: of the last episodes about TEDx. But this is the
- 4:42Speaker 2: lady I was talking about that got me together and
- 4:44Speaker 2: gave me the prophetic instruction.
- 4:48Speaker 3: You remember, I called you that Monday. Yes, I do remember.
- 4:51Speaker 2: I called because you was supposed to be asleep. Now,
- 4:53Speaker 2: this is how I know I got grace on my life.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Because you was like, baby, I don't open my eyes
- 4:57Speaker 2: for nobody.
- 4:58Speaker 3: And you rolled over. Do not disturb. Goes on at 7.50.
- 5:04Speaker 3: My best friend dragged me for it. Listen. Every day.
- 5:07Speaker 3: But it was after eight. It was. And she rolled over,
- 5:12Speaker 3: gave me a word. On FaceTime. And it was FaceTime.
- 5:18Speaker 3: That's an extra point. That's an extra point. On FaceTime.
- 5:22Speaker 4: Listen, the fact that she is here, I am grateful.
- 5:27Speaker 3: Kim, how you feeling? I feel great. Thank you so
- 5:29Speaker 3: much for having me. Thank you, Desiree.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Oh.
- 5:32Speaker 3: She light that fire. Desiree, Desiree, Desiree. It's truly my
- 5:38Speaker 3: honor to be here with you. Thank you for sharing
- 5:41Speaker 3: your platform with me.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Man, it's God's platform that I'm excited to share with
- 5:46Speaker 2: God's people.
- 5:47Speaker 3: Oh, that's good. That's so good.
- 5:49Speaker 4: We need to plug that somewhere.
- 5:50Speaker 3: Yeah, write that down, Desiree. Yeah, write that down. That's good.
- 5:53Speaker 2: This is God's platform for God's people. With God's people.
- 5:57Speaker 3: That's good. Oh, man. When you just be.
- 5:59Speaker 4: Listen, she'll bring it out of you.
- 6:01Speaker 3: Kim. Yes. I'm going to tell you something.
- 6:05Speaker 1: Okay.
- 6:05Speaker 4: When we met, I thought you was cool. You know
- 6:09Speaker 4: what I'm saying?
- 6:10Speaker 3: But when we talked, I was revealed to who you were. Oh,
- 6:16Speaker 3: that's good. Thank you.
- 6:19Speaker 2: And.
- 6:20Speaker 3: Yeah, because I don't... Yes, that makes sense to me. Yeah.
- 6:24Speaker 3: Because I don't open up in that way when I
- 6:27Speaker 3: first meet people. Because some people will be afraid. Some
- 6:31Speaker 3: people will be just... I don't know. So that's good.
- 6:36Speaker 2: And so describe when we say what way, when you
- 6:39Speaker 2: say what way, what do you mean?
- 6:41Speaker 3: What's the way? So... I, that was not my phone.
- 6:45Speaker 3: Was it Desiree? No ma'am.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Okay.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Like, Oh my God. So sorry. Anyway. So I know
- 6:51Speaker 3: who I am in Christ. I'm aware of the giftings
- 6:55Speaker 3: that he's placed on my life and in me. Um,
- 7:00Speaker 3: I am a seer. That sounds crazy just to say,
- 7:04Speaker 3: but to ask. So I'm saying it, but I know
- 7:06Speaker 3: I am a seer. And what that means is I
- 7:09Speaker 3: walk in the vein of the prophetic, but it's through
- 7:14Speaker 3: mainly visions and dreams, open vision sometimes when I'm awake.
- 7:19Speaker 3: But I do hear him clearly. Sometimes he says things
- 7:24Speaker 3: that he wants me to share with someone else. But
- 7:27Speaker 3: my strongest, and that's not my strongest gift is teaching. Okay.
- 7:32Speaker 3: That's my strongest gift, but I walk as a seer.
- 7:36Speaker 3: And so I don't often reveal that to people that
- 7:40Speaker 3: you just meet. Cause I'm just, I'm just Kim.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Right. Right.
- 7:44Speaker 3: Right.
- 7:44Speaker 2: Girl. No, you, you are one thing you are, because
- 7:48Speaker 2: let me tell you, let me tell you a secret.
- 7:51Speaker 3: That room was full. Right there.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Baby, everybody bought a ticket for Kim. And they tell
- 7:57Speaker 2: they in Alabama. Because when the folks left. Desiree, am
- 8:04Speaker 2: I lying? When the people left.
- 8:07Speaker 3: I have a great village. I cannot lie. I have
- 8:10Speaker 3: great friends. But I have great friends because I have
- 8:15Speaker 3: learned how to be a great friend. Because you ain't
- 8:18Speaker 3: always been a river. at all i was locked up
- 8:23Speaker 3: down full of beefers.
- 8:26Speaker 2: So how do we go because one thing i didn't
- 8:28Speaker 2: mention in my introduction of you is that you have
- 8:31Speaker 2: wonderfully marvelous yes that's my ministry which ministry that you
- 8:35Speaker 2: had for how long.
- 8:36Speaker 3: So wonderfully marvelous was birthed in the year of 2021
- 8:41Speaker 3: which was a really rough year for me um and
- 8:44Speaker 3: i announced it to the world january 2022 I have
- 8:48Speaker 3: been in women's ministry since 2013, hosting women's conferences. I've
- 8:53Speaker 3: even had a retreat, all the things. But wonderfully marvelous
- 8:58Speaker 3: came during a time when he showed me myself. He
- 9:04Speaker 3: revealed to me that my former ministry, which was Heroin Strong, Now,
- 9:12Speaker 3: folks was getting confused with the drugs. Yeah, I was
- 9:14Speaker 3: about to say, now what? Heroin, with the E on
- 9:17Speaker 3: the end, not the drug, okay? Like a lady hero. Yes. Okay,
- 9:22Speaker 3: tell me. I was going to say, now what is this? Yeah,
- 9:24Speaker 3: heroin is a female hero. And I was talking about
- 9:27Speaker 3: heroines in the Bible, basically. But he revealed to me
- 9:31Speaker 3: that I started that, and I was teaching women how
- 9:35Speaker 3: to be strong in their own right.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 9:38Speaker 3: And we are called to be strong through his might. Yeah. Right? Right.
- 9:43Speaker 3: So I had to restructure a lot. So 2021 was rough.
- 9:47Speaker 3: Like I had to end my ministry, stop writing a book.
- 9:52Speaker 3: I was writing. I was writing a book, Heroines of Grace.
- 9:53Speaker 3: He was like, nope. Nuh uh I had a retreat
- 9:57Speaker 3: The Heroine Experience Just all the things And he was
- 10:01Speaker 3: like Stop that Nix that The podcast I had Was
- 10:06Speaker 3: Same name Under that name And he was like No
- 10:11Speaker 3: This Everything about you Is wonderfully marvelous Now let me
- 10:14Speaker 3: tell you Wonderfully marvelous Is from Psalm 139 Mmhmm But
- 10:19Speaker 3: it's the scripture people usually say, I am fearfully and
- 10:23Speaker 3: wonderfully made. I use the New Living Translation, which says,
- 10:27Speaker 3: thank you for making me so wonderfully complex. Your workmanship
- 10:31Speaker 3: is marvelous. How well I know it. Because he revealed
- 10:35Speaker 3: to me that I really didn't know who I was
- 10:39Speaker 3: identity wise. And a lot of his children, his daughters
- 10:43Speaker 3: don't either. And so I go around helping women understand
- 10:47Speaker 3: that they are wonderfully marvelous through Christ. Now, I love fashion.
- 10:52Speaker 3: I'm going to be cute and all the things. But
- 10:55Speaker 3: I had to get to a place where my inside
- 10:58Speaker 3: matched what I made sure this all looked like. Right? Yeah.
- 11:02Speaker 3: And so he's just been dealing with me with identity.
- 11:05Speaker 3: And so everything I do hinges on being an image
- 11:09Speaker 3: bearer for Christ, understanding his word, and helping women understand
- 11:15Speaker 3: his word and the character of God, right? I feel like,
- 11:22Speaker 3: and I love the Western church, but honestly, a lot
- 11:27Speaker 3: of us learn the Bible through the lens of where
- 11:31Speaker 3: can I find myself in this story? And how can
- 11:36Speaker 3: God bless me? And if we think about the way
- 11:39Speaker 3: the scriptures were written and during the context that it
- 11:43Speaker 3: was happening, when Jesus was walking the earth, it wasn't
- 11:46Speaker 3: really for us to see ourself in the story. It
- 11:50Speaker 3: was to learn more about his character, who he is, right?
- 11:55Speaker 3: And to feast on the word of God. That's why
- 11:57Speaker 3: I tell people, I want you to feast on the word.
- 11:59Speaker 3: It's not something that you just check off.
- 12:01Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 12:02Speaker 3: It's not something we do to gain more knowledge. It's
- 12:05Speaker 3: to grow fruit in ourselves so we feast on it
- 12:08Speaker 3: like a meal. Back then in his day, when they
- 12:12Speaker 3: read the word, they sat at a table and they
- 12:15Speaker 3: listened to the rabbi, the teacher, share it. They had
- 12:20Speaker 3: to feast on it because they didn't have nothing to
- 12:22Speaker 3: hold and look at. Only the rabbi was able to
- 12:25Speaker 3: touch the word and give it out. So now we
- 12:28Speaker 3: have Holy Spirit. God within us. I'm not saying we
- 12:31Speaker 3: are God. I know that's a thing now, but I
- 12:34Speaker 3: believe that Holy Spirit dwells in us. Correct.
- 12:36Speaker 2: Right?
- 12:37Speaker 3: We are his image bearers. So we are here as
- 12:39Speaker 3: ambassadors for Christ. What does that look like? Does your
- 12:43Speaker 3: life look like you are living for him? I know
- 12:46Speaker 3: I've made some huge mistakes, child. Child, let's not even
- 12:49Speaker 3: start talking. But I want to help us see. that
- 12:55Speaker 3: maybe the way we've been looking at the word has
- 12:57Speaker 3: been a little misconstrued. And it's not always about who
- 13:03Speaker 3: we are in the story. We can relate to it
- 13:06Speaker 3: because it is a living book. It is alive. It
- 13:10Speaker 3: is a two-edged sword. It is supposed to cut some
- 13:13Speaker 3: of the things off of us that don't look like him.
- 13:16Speaker 3: But it's really a love story to us about the
- 13:19Speaker 3: character of God. Now, the more we learn about his character... Yeah,
- 13:24Speaker 3: the more we see ourselves and learn about who we
- 13:26Speaker 3: are through him, through Christ. But it's not just a
- 13:31Speaker 3: book for us to be able to say Ephesians 320.
- 13:35Speaker 3: He going to do exceedingly and abundantly more. Yeah, he is.
- 13:42Speaker 3: But that's talking about doing more in your spirit. Yeah.
- 13:46Speaker 3: So that you can look more like him. Yeah. Yeah.
- 13:48Speaker 3: The man who wrote that was in jail at the time.
- 13:51Speaker 3: So we say these things, do we really know what
- 13:54Speaker 3: that means? Amos 9.13, we read it for it. You
- 13:57Speaker 3: know what I'm saying? Oh my God, it's going to
- 13:59Speaker 3: happen so fast. It's going to be sudden. Right, but
- 14:01Speaker 3: what does that mean for real? What's the context? Who
- 14:05Speaker 3: was it written to? Why was it important in that time?
- 14:08Speaker 3: And so I try to teach the word in a
- 14:10Speaker 3: way that is digestible for people. That's the kindergarten teaching.
- 14:14Speaker 3: I used to teach kindergarten, so I feel like He
- 14:18Speaker 3: has allowed me to learn how to be a teacher
- 14:23Speaker 3: because I used to say years ago that I was
- 14:25Speaker 3: just a teacher. And Holy Spirit checked me and said
- 14:29Speaker 3: that I allowed you to get the schooling to learn
- 14:33Speaker 3: how to teach children because of the calling on your
- 14:37Speaker 3: life to teach my children. And sometimes we make the
- 14:41Speaker 3: word so big and overpowering and people don't really understand it. Yeah.
- 14:47Speaker 3: And so he's gifted me with the ability to teach
- 14:50Speaker 3: in such a way, as a storyteller, that it makes
- 14:53Speaker 3: it digestible and understanding. But I'm always pointing them to him. Yeah.
- 14:58Speaker 3: Not me. Not yourself.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Him.
- 15:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:02Speaker 2: I think, and even in your TEDx talk, and I
- 15:05Speaker 2: love how the Lord allows us to use, I'm going
- 15:09Speaker 2: to call it transitional language.
- 15:11Speaker 3: Yeah, for sure.
- 15:12Speaker 2: To where even thinking about your TED Talk, flowing like
- 15:17Speaker 2: a river, when we think about rivers, rivers are made
- 15:21Speaker 2: up of water. And then we connect them to the
- 15:24Speaker 2: living water that never runs dry, right? And so I
- 15:27Speaker 2: think that you articulate really well and you resonate with people.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Something you told me, we were on the phone one time, well,
- 15:35Speaker 2: when you got me and life together.
- 15:38Speaker 3: Yeah, when you got my.
- 15:40Speaker 2: Life together, Kim, that moment is going to be stamped
- 15:44Speaker 2: in my soul.
- 15:45Speaker 3: You hear me?
- 15:46Speaker 2: Baby, the way you read me down and gave me prophetic.
- 15:50Speaker 3: Instructions, I was scared not to obey. I am not
- 15:53Speaker 3: going to. That's so funny. No, I meant, I said, Lord,
- 15:57Speaker 3: this is a prophet. Like, I got the phone. That's crazy.
- 16:00Speaker 3: I got the phone. I don't remember what I say, though.
- 16:02Speaker 3: I know.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Okay.
- 16:03Speaker 3: Listen.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Listen.
- 16:05Speaker 3: I got off the phone and I kept just telling,
- 16:06Speaker 3: I said, Kim told me not to do this. This
- 16:08Speaker 3: is what I did.
- 16:08Speaker 4: And that's the only way I made it through the speech.
- 16:11Speaker 3: That's the only way I made it through the talk. Literally.
- 16:14Speaker 2: Wow.
- 16:14Speaker 3: Literally.
- 16:16Speaker 2: I obeyed what you told me, what you told me
- 16:18Speaker 2: the Lord was giving you.
- 16:20Speaker 3: Literally.
- 16:20Speaker 2: Wow. So I played no game with you. When you
- 16:23Speaker 2: sitting out there giving us that word, Desiree, I hope
- 16:28Speaker 2: we got the recording. We finna do everything this lady
- 16:31Speaker 2: said because my God, she came here with a word. But,
- 16:34Speaker 2: My liking of you is that what you told me,
- 16:40Speaker 2: you was like, hey, pray, study, but get you some
- 16:44Speaker 2: fun in.
- 16:45Speaker 3: Get you some.
- 16:46Speaker 4: Sometimes we get.
- 16:47Speaker 2: Too hyper spiritual about something that we forget to enjoy
- 16:51Speaker 2: the life that God gave us.
- 16:53Speaker 4: And that's what I love about you.
- 16:55Speaker 2: Like we can kiki kaka, but I know when that thing.
- 16:59Speaker 3: Flips, it's going to flip.
- 17:01Speaker 2: What I'm curious to know is, let's start here. You
- 17:05Speaker 2: hear the Lord and you hear him well, and you
- 17:08Speaker 2: have a relationship with Holy Spirit. For those of us,
- 17:11Speaker 2: because this platform attracts women of the same sort that
- 17:14Speaker 2: you're called to, right? Women that understand I am in faith,
- 17:20Speaker 2: but I need to be in marketplace as well.
- 17:22Speaker 3: For sure. I don't know how to.
- 17:24Speaker 2: Navigate that lane effectively without looking unrighteous or looking like
- 17:32Speaker 2: something that the Christian world.
- 17:36Speaker 3: is not used to. And so I wonder what you're hearing.
- 17:42Speaker 2: How did you start recognizing that what you were hearing
- 17:45Speaker 2: was not you, but the Holy Spirit?
- 17:48Speaker 3: Oh, that's such a good question. And it's about three
- 17:52Speaker 3: questions in there. Okay. So the first thing I'll say
- 17:57Speaker 3: is in 2008, I was in the bathroom and And
- 18:03Speaker 3: I heard three times, I'm calling you, I'm calling you,
- 18:07Speaker 3: I'm calling you. And it was an audible voice. That
- 18:10Speaker 3: was the first time I had heard it that way.
- 18:14Speaker 3: And I was like, calling me to do what? Because
- 18:16Speaker 3: what is you talking about? Who is this, right? God
- 18:21Speaker 3: placed me at a school with someone. At the time
- 18:27Speaker 3: I was teaching, in 2008, I think I was teaching
- 18:30Speaker 3: kindergarten still then. He placed me at a school with
- 18:33Speaker 3: a woman who walked in the prophetic heavily and she
- 18:38Speaker 3: gave me some books, told me to pray, gave me
- 18:42Speaker 3: scripture to read. I went to my pastor and shared
- 18:47Speaker 3: with him. I've been hearing things like I'll have a dream.
- 18:51Speaker 3: It'll happen. My pastor politely told me, um, And this
- 18:55Speaker 3: is no shade to him at all because we've had
- 18:59Speaker 3: to come to Jesus since this. But people likely told me,
- 19:03Speaker 3: you ain't here, right? I was in a missionary Baptist
- 19:06Speaker 3: church then. How old were you? 20-something. Okay. Okay, 20-something
- 19:12Speaker 3: back then. But when I first went to my pastor.
- 19:16Speaker 3: And so I shut it down because I'm like, well,
- 19:19Speaker 3: if he said that ain't right, it must not be right, right?
- 19:22Speaker 3: And so then 2008, I heard the.
- 19:24Speaker 3: I'm calling you three times I went to Mrs. Crenshaw
- 19:29Speaker 3: who is a lady who has helped me on my
- 19:31Speaker 3: journey my spiritual journey she gave me books gave me
- 19:35Speaker 3: a book about dreams a biblical book about dreams because
- 19:39Speaker 3: I'm very mindful of that like I want the word
- 19:44Speaker 3: yeah and I started spending time in prayer and it
- 19:50Speaker 3: just started getting stronger by me staying in the word
- 19:55Speaker 3: and creating a time to sit still and listen and pray.
- 20:00Speaker 3: Because I do believe that prayer is a dialogue. We
- 20:04Speaker 3: can say, what we need. We can petition. Even Jesus
- 20:08Speaker 3: taught us how to pray, you know, with the model prayer.
- 20:11Speaker 3: But we can say what we need, but we also
- 20:14Speaker 3: have to make sure we have time in there to
- 20:17Speaker 3: hear what God is telling us about ourselves. And so
- 20:21Speaker 3: that quiet time became something that was super important to me,
- 20:26Speaker 3: and it just got stronger. Looking back, I see God's
- 20:31Speaker 3: hand on my life, and I was Born like this,
- 20:35Speaker 3: I came here with the gift. But I think some
- 20:38Speaker 3: people squelch it because let's say you have a pastor
- 20:42Speaker 3: like I had at that time who tells you you
- 20:47Speaker 3: are hearing wrong, maybe because I'm a woman, maybe because
- 20:50Speaker 3: I don't know. You start to second guess yourself.
- 20:55Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 20:57Speaker 3: But I know that God does not call us to
- 21:00Speaker 3: put man on the pedestal. Mm-hmm. He does want us
- 21:04Speaker 3: in community with church, but your pastor can't be your God.
- 21:10Speaker 3: You have to go to him. Now, for me, hearing,
- 21:15Speaker 3: it sounds like my voice. And I always share this
- 21:17Speaker 3: because I want people who are new in Christ to understand.
- 21:21Speaker 3: It's going to sound like your voice, but if it
- 21:26Speaker 3: goes against the word of God, it is not him.
- 21:30Speaker 3: It's not Holy Spirit. So some things, like he's never
- 21:34Speaker 3: going to tell you to do something that is antithetical
- 21:38Speaker 3: to scripture, right? It's always going to be aligned with scripture.
- 21:44Speaker 3: As a seer, as one who walks in the prophetic,
- 21:47Speaker 3: I know one of my giftings is tied to edifying
- 21:52Speaker 3: his children, encouraging his children. But I also am called
- 21:58Speaker 3: to warn his children, right? I'm also called to tear
- 22:03Speaker 3: down certain things that can be of detriment to his children.
- 22:09Speaker 3: The ones he's called me to.
- 22:10Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:11Speaker 3: Right. I'm not one of the ones on social media
- 22:13Speaker 3: giving out prophecy in a way. Mine is more so
- 22:16Speaker 3: one on one.
- 22:17Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:18Speaker 3: But if you feel like you don't know where you fit,
- 22:22Speaker 3: may I submit to you that Jesus is planting his
- 22:26Speaker 3: children in the marketplace just as you are. You're not
- 22:32Speaker 3: called necessarily to go in and say, good morning, I'm
- 22:36Speaker 3: blessed and highly favored. This morning I read Deuteronomy chapter 8.
- 22:41Speaker 3: Did you read your Bible today? It may look like
- 22:45Speaker 3: you just being kind to the one that other people overlook.
- 22:49Speaker 3: It may look like you going in being yourself and
- 22:52Speaker 3: reminding someone, hey, you got this. Come on, girl, don't
- 22:56Speaker 3: be sad. I understand. That was a hard hit you
- 22:59Speaker 3: just took. I want you to get up and keep going, okay?
- 23:02Speaker 3: And going on about your business. I feel like he
- 23:04Speaker 3: is strategically placing people in the marketplace so that other
- 23:10Speaker 3: people can see what an attorney looks like when they
- 23:13Speaker 3: believe God, what a teacher or an educator looks like
- 23:17Speaker 3: when they believe God. I go in multiple schools now.
- 23:20Speaker 3: I'm not in the classroom anymore, but in my role now,
- 23:24Speaker 3: I go in multiple schools and I have to carry
- 23:27Speaker 3: myself in a way where they see His hand on me.
- 23:32Speaker 3: I say, be the light. That's not just something I say.
- 23:35Speaker 3: I try to live it. Because how will people get
- 23:39Speaker 3: to see light if you don't exude it or share it?
- 23:43Speaker 3: I have bad days, yeah. My attitude can be terrible.
- 23:45Speaker 3: I'm sure my husband would be like, yeah, she crazy.
- 23:50Speaker 3: But if you are struggling and trying to find your way,
- 23:54Speaker 3: it's just you staying in his word. It's you being
- 23:57Speaker 3: in a relationship with him. Him is you carving out
- 23:59Speaker 3: time to hear him quietly so that you will know
- 24:03Speaker 3: who I need to show up for and talk to today. God,
- 24:07Speaker 3: I'm giving you my day this morning. Show me where
- 24:10Speaker 3: you want me to go, which way I need to go.
- 24:12Speaker 3: Do I not need to go this way? I think
- 24:13Speaker 3: we make it harder than it has to be. Yeah.
- 24:16Speaker 3: But no, you're not going in and busting people over
- 24:18Speaker 3: the head with your Bible.
- 24:19Speaker 4: Listen, because we really do that.
- 24:22Speaker 3: Yeah, we do. We really do that and.
- 24:24Speaker 2: Then wonder why we have backlash with people like that.
- 24:30Speaker 4: I also think the... Okay, I'm going to ask you this.
- 24:34Speaker 3: Thank you, Holy Spirit. Okay.
- 24:36Speaker 2: So, I'm getting to know this gift, this anointing, this calling,
- 24:41Speaker 2: and the prophetic as a woman.
- 24:44Speaker 3: That's what we're speaking to. And a man. And men, too.
- 24:48Speaker 3: For sure.
- 24:49Speaker 2: But I'm getting to know this gift. How do I
- 24:52Speaker 2: know when to release? Because sometimes it's almost like I
- 24:57Speaker 2: hear something. Like you told us, you can see somebody like, oh, okay, Lord.
- 25:02Speaker 2: What do you want me to do with that? But
- 25:03Speaker 2: how do I know when it's time to release?
- 25:06Speaker 3: Because the timing.
- 25:09Speaker 2: Is just as important as the words. So how have
- 25:11Speaker 2: you learned the math, like matured in the release?
- 25:15Speaker 3: Messing up. Messing up. Getting ahead of God. I've learned
- 25:23Speaker 3: that there are things that he reveals to me that
- 25:28Speaker 3: he wants me only to pray about. It's not for
- 25:31Speaker 3: me to say anything, right? In the beginning... So I'm
- 25:37Speaker 3: just going to share. God uses my body. When I
- 25:41Speaker 3: know it's imperative for me to say something, I get
- 25:44Speaker 3: physically like sick. So it feels like how you may
- 25:47Speaker 3: have butterflies in your stomach. That's how mine works. I
- 25:51Speaker 3: feel like it gets heavy. Like it's a pressing down.
- 25:56Speaker 3: That's how it happens to my body. I physically feel
- 26:00Speaker 3: ill when I don't do something or share something with someone.
- 26:05Speaker 3: So because I don't like feeling sick, I do what
- 26:09Speaker 3: he tells me to do. Now, if I see something
- 26:13Speaker 3: on someone and he reveals something to me, I ask now,
- 26:20Speaker 3: I ask, what do you want me to do? If
- 26:24Speaker 3: this is just for me to pray, reveal it. If
- 26:27Speaker 3: you want me to share it, reveal it. If you
- 26:30Speaker 3: want me just to send a text with a scripture,
- 26:33Speaker 3: tell me to, and he does. But that came after
- 26:36Speaker 3: years of messing up. Yeah, you don't automatically just know. Plus,
- 26:42Speaker 3: let me tell you something about Deloitte. He a trip man.
- 26:45Speaker 3: He don't tell you all of it at once. He's
- 26:48Speaker 3: like little pieces, baby. If I knew everything right, I
- 26:50Speaker 3: think I'd be, ooh, I still need the $ 10 billion
- 26:54Speaker 3: in the bank. But he ain't gave me the lottery
- 26:56Speaker 3: numbers yet, so I just stay obedient and wait. But no,
- 27:02Speaker 3: it's simply... Through trial and error, unfortunately. And I can
- 27:07Speaker 3: tell when I've spoken out of turn because the person
- 27:11Speaker 3: gets 38 hot. Yeah, it's happened. I messed up. So
- 27:16Speaker 3: how do you recover from that? I repent. Yeah, I
- 27:20Speaker 3: repent to him first. If he calls me to apologize
- 27:24Speaker 3: to the person, I do. You know what I mean? Like,
- 27:27Speaker 3: I'm sorry for it. I didn't mean to offend you.
- 27:30Speaker 3: And that's it.
- 27:31Speaker 2: I'll never forget one of the most embarrassing moments I've
- 27:35Speaker 2: had prophetically.
- 27:37Speaker 4: I think about it today and get hot in the neck.
- 27:40Speaker 3: You hear me?
- 27:41Speaker 2: I was living in the gump. And this is me
- 27:44Speaker 2: trying to be accepted in a space. Child. Where I,
- 27:51Speaker 2: you know, I feel like a mutant. Like, I'm working
- 27:54Speaker 2: out with these people three, four times out the week
- 27:56Speaker 2: or whatever. And they was like, well, Jessica, you don't
- 27:57Speaker 2: ever come out. So it was after a workout session.
- 28:05Speaker 2: We went to the Mexican place. And they was pulling
- 28:09Speaker 2: it up. Somebody was buying the air.
- 28:11Speaker 3: Somebody bought multiple rounds of shots. And we just getting
- 28:14Speaker 3: it in. You know what I'm saying?
- 28:17Speaker 4: And I'll never forget.
- 28:20Speaker 2: I started with a young lady. I left because I
- 28:22Speaker 2: had to drop my dog off.
- 28:24Speaker 3: Came back.
- 28:25Speaker 2: Shouldn't have been driving. Came back to the spot. And
- 28:29Speaker 2: we in the parking lot. Parking lot pimping.
- 28:31Speaker 3: You hear me?
- 28:32Speaker 2: And I started with a young lady that I wasn't
- 28:35Speaker 2: familiar with. Now, this is a time where I'm learning
- 28:38Speaker 2: that I have a... prophetic anointing.
- 28:41Speaker 3: Yes.
- 28:41Speaker 2: I'm in a five-fold ministry that's developing or whatever, but
- 28:45Speaker 2: I'm really not understanding how it works with me.
- 28:49Speaker 3: Yes. But it's working. Mm-hmm. And it worked.
- 28:53Speaker 4: I'm talking to this girl.
- 28:55Speaker 3: I'm talking to this girl. I mean, I'm talking to her.
- 28:58Speaker 3: Can't tell you what I told her. Right. But she,
- 29:01Speaker 3: you know, she's taking it in, but it's accurate. I
- 29:05Speaker 3: know it's accurate.
- 29:06Speaker 4: Like, look at hindsight.
- 29:08Speaker 3: I can see her face, and it's accurate.
- 29:10Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 29:11Speaker 3: So then the trainer at the time, the trainer at
- 29:15Speaker 3: the time, he, I mean, all of us lit. Now
- 29:18Speaker 3: it's starting to sneak up because I'm like, oh, baby,
- 29:21Speaker 3: I'm just. Because your gift doesn't turn off with liquor.
- 29:26Speaker 3: It did something. It heightened it. I don't know what
- 29:30Speaker 3: it was. I'm not saying go drink no no don't
- 29:34Speaker 3: do that don't do it don't do it i know
- 29:38Speaker 3: that now i know this now you cannot cover what
- 29:42Speaker 3: he has called you to be.
- 29:44Speaker 2: Kim by the end of it i'm literally doing performing
- 29:50Speaker 2: deliverance on the trainer He pulled me to the side
- 29:55Speaker 2: to talk to me, saying, hey, you too powerful, man, da-da-da-da,
- 29:59Speaker 2: from the girls.
- 30:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 30:01Speaker 4: He's like, man, you just too powerful, Jessica, da-da-da-da-da-da. Having
- 30:04Speaker 4: this conversation.
- 30:05Speaker 2: The next thing I remember is I'm telling the demonic
- 30:12Speaker 2: spirit to come out. I can't remember everything I said,
- 30:17Speaker 2: but I remember he was like, at this point, I
- 30:21Speaker 2: know it wasn't him because he would never do this.
- 30:22Speaker 3: Absolutely.
- 30:22Speaker 4: But the spirit is pushing me.
- 30:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 30:25Speaker 2: So the friends now like, hold up, because they team him.
- 30:30Speaker 2: They try to make sure he's okay. And they're like,
- 30:31Speaker 2: hold up, break up. I'm saying some of everything. I
- 30:35Speaker 2: don't remember this, but I don't remember what I said
- 30:39Speaker 2: to this next young lady. But apparently, I done told
- 30:43Speaker 2: her about her.
- 30:44Speaker 3: Then gave up.
- 30:46Speaker 2: I cannot tell you what I said. But I know
- 30:49Speaker 2: the next morning, I felt like complete crap. Not just
- 30:53Speaker 2: from the liquor. I felt like complete crap because I
- 30:56Speaker 2: didn't understand what happened. And when I got whiffed of
- 30:59Speaker 2: what happened.
- 31:03Speaker 3: And everything starts to bring itself together. Now, these are people.
- 31:08Speaker 3: Watch this.
- 31:09Speaker 2: These are people that are not in the church. And
- 31:13Speaker 2: then my trainer don't really rock with Jesus. So I'm
- 31:18Speaker 2: doing this. I am doing this as a representation. of
- 31:24Speaker 2: the Holy Ghost, okay, of God. And so I'm 20-something,
- 31:30Speaker 2: so now it's like I'm very immature not knowing how
- 31:35Speaker 2: to manage my gift, right? And so the next day
- 31:39Speaker 2: I remember waking up to my boyfriend at the time.
- 31:44Speaker 2: I didn't even know he was there. Like, it was
- 31:47Speaker 2: so much that happened. So fast forward, I got, y'all
- 31:49Speaker 2: heard Bree's name multiple times, right? Bree, I called her.
- 31:53Speaker 2: I was like, this is what happened. This is what
- 31:55Speaker 2: I remember, whatever. And she gave me the scripture that...
- 32:00Speaker 2: What's the scripture? Basically talking about how you have control
- 32:04Speaker 2: over your gift or whatever.
- 32:05Speaker 3: You have to control your gift. She gave me that scripture.
- 32:09Speaker 3: And I got my rebuke.
- 32:12Speaker 2: And then I started calling folks to apologize. But at
- 32:15Speaker 2: that point, the damage had been done. And so I
- 32:20Speaker 2: think that My next question is, with you having the
- 32:27Speaker 2: experience from your pastor, but then also having the opportunity
- 32:34Speaker 2: to be trained by, what you say, Miss Cynthia?
- 32:36Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 32:39Speaker 2: How do you approach leading people with prophetic gifts and
- 32:45Speaker 2: teaching them how to navigate with the world with their
- 32:48Speaker 2: prophetic gift?
- 32:50Speaker 3: Oh, that's a great question. I don't. And here's what
- 32:53Speaker 3: I mean by that. He has not called me to,
- 32:57Speaker 3: let me see, how do I say? He has not
- 33:01Speaker 3: called me to lead other people in their prophetic gift.
- 33:08Speaker 3: Not yet. Well, maybe advise. Maybe not necessarily. Like if
- 33:13Speaker 3: they ask me. Yeah, like me and you right now.
- 33:15Speaker 3: I'm learning from you. Oh, yeah. And we have the
- 33:17Speaker 3: same gift. So that would be different.
- 33:18Speaker 2: Okay.
- 33:18Speaker 3: So let me say this. For you, the story you
- 33:22Speaker 3: just shared, what I saw was like a toddler just
- 33:27Speaker 3: running around with a new toy. Okay. And so they
- 33:31Speaker 3: run the toy all over the wall. They don't know
- 33:33Speaker 3: how to use the toy yet. Then they get the
- 33:35Speaker 3: new crayons. They draw it on the wall instead of
- 33:38Speaker 3: the paper. Okay. They have to be directed to what
- 33:42Speaker 3: the tool is to be used for and where the
- 33:45Speaker 3: tool is to be used. Right. And so there is
- 33:49Speaker 3: a parent who comes and says, we don't draw on walls.
- 33:55Speaker 3: Let me show you where you use the crayon. It's
- 33:59Speaker 3: on the paper. Right. So that could be a person.
- 34:03Speaker 3: It could also be Holy Spirit saying to you, this
- 34:07Speaker 3: is not the time, but. you've got to take, because
- 34:11Speaker 3: you can take prophetic classes. You can go to prophetic conferences.
- 34:16Speaker 3: You can read prophetic books. I read The Seer by
- 34:19Speaker 3: James Gough, phenomenal book. But I think sometimes it does
- 34:25Speaker 3: take someone coming shoulder to shoulder with you and saying,
- 34:29Speaker 3: here's where I went wrong. Let me help you and
- 34:33Speaker 3: show you how you could use this differently. But I'm
- 34:39Speaker 3: very mindful of doing that because although you walk in
- 34:45Speaker 3: the prophetic, I walk in the prophetic, our gifts are
- 34:49Speaker 3: not the exact same. So I can't necessarily tell you,
- 34:56Speaker 3: I don't ever want to Become arrogant enough to believe
- 35:00Speaker 3: that I'm the one supposed to lead other people and
- 35:03Speaker 3: how to be prophetic. That's not my job. That's his.
- 35:08Speaker 3: I'm here to walk in that vein to encourage, like
- 35:11Speaker 3: I said, tear down, see some things, intercede, share when
- 35:15Speaker 3: I need to. So I can tell somebody, hey, you
- 35:18Speaker 3: really do need to go back to school, and it'll
- 35:20Speaker 3: be a confirmation. It's not going to be something just
- 35:23Speaker 3: brand new. Does that make sense?
- 35:24Speaker 2: No, and I think that's an important thing, too.
- 35:28Speaker 3: I feel like I'm not called to tell people how
- 35:31Speaker 3: to walk in the prophetic. That's not what I'm here for.
- 35:36Speaker 3: I'm here to help you be an image bearer for Christ.
- 35:42Speaker 3: I'm very clear on that. I'm here to help women
- 35:45Speaker 3: know I'm that girl. I'm here for high-value women. I
- 35:50Speaker 3: know that. You know what I'm saying? And that doesn't
- 35:52Speaker 3: mean that I don't have events and offers that are reasonable, too.
- 35:57Speaker 3: I do. But I know I'm called to women in
- 36:00Speaker 3: leadership who are that girl, that woman, wherever she works.
- 36:09Speaker 3: And she cannot let her guard down with those people
- 36:14Speaker 3: because they look up to her. And she needs a
- 36:17Speaker 3: safe space to let, I know who I am and
- 36:19Speaker 3: what he has me here for. I'm not here to
- 36:21Speaker 3: teach people how to be prophetic.
- 36:23Speaker 2: Well, yeah, and maybe I didn't ask that question.
- 36:25Speaker 3: No, you did. I'm just answering it that way. No,
- 36:28Speaker 3: I'm following you. Okay, cool, cool. Because me walking with
- 36:31Speaker 3: you shoulder to shoulder, I would tell you one-on-one, privately
- 36:36Speaker 3: yeah do you understand yeah yeah i do yeah but
- 36:40Speaker 3: like this platform i don't really have anything to say
- 36:45Speaker 3: Because that's not my calling. She said, my name's Benny
- 36:49Speaker 3: and I ain't.
- 36:49Speaker 1: That's it.
- 36:50Speaker 3: That's it. My name is Benny. That sounds bad, but
- 36:53Speaker 3: I'm very aware of who I am.
- 36:55Speaker 2: I wish believers would say, that ain't my lane more often.
- 36:59Speaker 1: Yeah, it ain't.
- 37:00Speaker 3: You ain't got to have an answer for everything.
- 37:02Speaker 2: Like, my sister asked me a hard question last night
- 37:05Speaker 2: and I was like, Man.
- 37:07Speaker 3: That video was so funny.
- 37:10Speaker 4: When the boy was like.
- 37:11Speaker 3: Maybe I'm high. Maybe. I'm telling you. And Lord knows
- 37:14Speaker 3: I'm holding it, but I was weak. I was like, what? Okay,
- 37:20Speaker 3: I'm sorry. Back on task. I'm sorry. It's okay. It's okay.
- 37:23Speaker 4: But we were having a conversation.
- 37:26Speaker 2: Last night, that's a hard conversation regarding pro-life and pro-choice.
- 37:32Speaker 3: Oh, Lord.
- 37:33Speaker 2: And she was asking me about a situational thing, like,
- 37:36Speaker 2: do you believe if somebody was.
- 37:41Speaker 2: Taken advantage of, because I'm going to be mindful of
- 37:43Speaker 2: my words, taken advantage of and they conceived.
- 37:45Speaker 3: That's a tender spot for me, too.
- 37:47Speaker 4: Yeah, so it's like, I said, I don't know.
- 37:50Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 37:51Speaker 2: But what I do believe is that if you're going
- 37:53Speaker 2: to be pro-life, you need to be pro-life throughout the life.
- 37:56Speaker 1: The whole life.
- 37:56Speaker 3: The whole life.
- 37:57Speaker 2: Don't just pro-life me at the beginning and say, have
- 38:00Speaker 2: the baby and not give me resources.
- 38:03Speaker 3: For the baby. That's what I do believe. Okay.
- 38:06Speaker 2: So don't, don't come with me in no conversation. Cause
- 38:09Speaker 2: I ain't just got Bob. I got some little, a
- 38:11Speaker 2: little logic for you too. Cause don't, don't talk to
- 38:13Speaker 2: me about that.
- 38:14Speaker 3: You get what I'm saying? I do.
- 38:15Speaker 2: So, so hard questions for believers. We don't respond to
- 38:19Speaker 2: them well. And then I won't say that was a
- 38:21Speaker 2: hard question, but you didn't lean into like, Oh, well, yes, not,
- 38:25Speaker 2: I appreciate it. And that's why I rock with you
- 38:27Speaker 2: like that because that's not our responsibility is that so
- 38:31Speaker 2: I'm about to do a hard I won't say it's
- 38:32Speaker 2: a hard switch okay but I'm interested because you brought
- 38:37Speaker 2: up a year 2021 yeah.
- 38:39Speaker 4: Where there was a shift what was the shift So, this.
- 38:43Speaker 3: Is going to sound crazy, and I'm going to try
- 38:45Speaker 3: to give the short story. You don't have to be short.
- 38:47Speaker 3: You can be long. Okay, Merry Christmas. And I say
- 38:48Speaker 3: Merry Christmas for everything. Sorry. I know it is not Christmas.
- 38:52Speaker 3: I say Merry Christmas for everything. That is like, I'm sad.
- 38:55Speaker 3: Merry Christmas. I'm happy. Merry Christmas. Okay, anyway. That's my
- 38:58Speaker 3: favorite holiday, by the way. Yeah, mine too. Oh, my gosh. Look,
- 39:01Speaker 3: it's so beautiful.
- 39:02Speaker 1: It is.
- 39:02Speaker 3: And peaceful and happy. Everybody nicer. Okay, anyway. So, 2021,
- 39:06Speaker 3: I was... There's a lady who inboxed me. This is
- 39:16Speaker 3: a lady that I looked up to. Didn't know she
- 39:19Speaker 3: lived in Texas at the time. I followed her ministry.
- 39:23Speaker 3: She was a phenomenal speaker. She dressed super fly. I've
- 39:27Speaker 3: been shallow, Lord. The Lord know my heart. I love her. fly,
- 39:30Speaker 3: cute people. But anyway, she was just that girl, right?
- 39:35Speaker 3: So I looked up to her, said I wanted to
- 39:38Speaker 3: meet her just randomly. She inboxes me and says, I'm
- 39:43Speaker 3: here when you need me. Here's my number. And I
- 39:47Speaker 3: was like, now.
- 39:49Speaker 3: She wasn't following me at the time either. Okay. Okay. Just, yes.
- 39:53Speaker 3: I'm going to go with you.
- 39:54Speaker 1: Okay.
- 39:54Speaker 3: Just go with me. So she politely, I was looking
- 40:00Speaker 3: at like, is this her? Has she been hacked? You
- 40:02Speaker 3: know how you go through that hole? Yeah.
- 40:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 40:04Speaker 3: So I replied and said, don't play with me because
- 40:06Speaker 3: I will call you. She was like, no, I'm serious.
- 40:09Speaker 3: So I said, here's my number. Well, I never called her.
- 40:13Speaker 3: So I'm at the grocery store in Publix at the deli.
- 40:17Speaker 3: My phone rings. I heard clear as day. Holy Spirit said, answer.
- 40:21Speaker 3: So I said, hello. She said, Kimberly. I said, yes.
- 40:26Speaker 3: She said, this is Doronda. I said, yes. So I
- 40:32Speaker 3: had to place the order for what I wanted. I
- 40:35Speaker 3: was getting some boar's head, honey maple ham. But here's
- 40:41Speaker 3: the kicker. This lady said, Lord, she ain't even supposed
- 40:44Speaker 3: to be eating pork. I said, hold on one second.
- 40:49Speaker 3: I said, I'm in the grocery store. I'll call you
- 40:51Speaker 3: as soon as I get out because I heard her.
- 40:53Speaker 3: Do you understand? She said, okay, I'll be here. Hung up,
- 40:57Speaker 3: called her back. Holy Spirit had been dealing with me
- 41:00Speaker 3: with pork. I have been on a child. I've been
- 41:03Speaker 3: trying to lose weight for years. Lord, I have lost
- 41:06Speaker 3: 58 pounds. Thank you, girl. But I still got a
- 41:10Speaker 3: long way to go. But he has been dealing with
- 41:12Speaker 3: me on not eating pork. Child, I be sneaking to
- 41:15Speaker 3: eat this here. I'm sorry. I be obedient about this.
- 41:20Speaker 3: That's a strong one. That's a strong one. Anyway, so
- 41:25Speaker 3: she has an actual program that she does with women
- 41:30Speaker 3: or whatever. She basically took me through her 12-week program
- 41:34Speaker 3: for free. She told me that the Holy Spirit, she
- 41:38Speaker 3: said I kept coming up on her feed. He gave
- 41:41Speaker 3: her a word for me, and she whooped my booty.
- 41:45Speaker 3: That's the best way I can explain it. She whooped
- 41:48Speaker 3: my booty. Holy Spirit had been dealing with me. I
- 41:51Speaker 3: do a word of the year. 2021, my word of
- 41:55Speaker 3: the year was advocate. I thought that it was finally
- 41:58Speaker 3: the time that he was going to send me out
- 42:00Speaker 3: to the nations to speak, and I was going to
- 42:02Speaker 3: advocate for all these women.
- 42:04Speaker 2: No.
- 42:04Speaker 3: No. It was a reminder that Holy Spirit is my advocate.
- 42:09Speaker 3: I finally shared some things that I had experienced as
- 42:13Speaker 3: a child. And I'm not sure that it was received
- 42:16Speaker 3: the way it needed to be received. And I think
- 42:20Speaker 3: he was telling me, I am your advocate. It don't
- 42:23Speaker 3: matter who believe what, who say what you say wasn't true.
- 42:27Speaker 3: I'm your advocate. You shared it publicly? No. Or with
- 42:30Speaker 3: like families?
- 42:31Speaker 2: Uh-huh.
- 42:31Speaker 3: Okay. Yes.
- 42:32Speaker 1: Okay.
- 42:34Speaker 3: And so... 2021 was hard for me. But he sent
- 42:37Speaker 3: me Duranda. And it was almost like a mirror to me.
- 42:42Speaker 3: Because she walks in the prophetic. She was someone I
- 42:46Speaker 3: had said, oh, my God, I would love to meet her.
- 42:48Speaker 3: I want to be like her. And he sent me
- 42:51Speaker 3: to her. And we had the same gift. But she
- 42:55Speaker 3: was more mature.
- 42:56Speaker 1: Okay?
- 42:58Speaker 3: She poured into me for free. Because her program is high. Okay?
- 43:04Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.
- 43:05Speaker 3: Thousands, like five figure.
- 43:07Speaker 1: Okay.
- 43:08Speaker 3: Not four, five. Okay. And she really helped me hone.
- 43:15Speaker 3: You know how it says iron sharpens iron. She really
- 43:18Speaker 3: helped me hone my gift to another level because here's
- 43:23Speaker 3: the thing. I thought I was there. I was hosting
- 43:28Speaker 3: events and I just had a retreat and all the things, honey,
- 43:32Speaker 3: I was planning and yeah, I was wrong. I had
- 43:36Speaker 3: gotten ahead of God. Sometimes when you receive a prophetic
- 43:41Speaker 3: word like from people or you hear and see what
- 43:45Speaker 3: your future is going to be, you can begin to
- 43:48Speaker 3: think you have to help him. And so I started
- 43:52Speaker 3: hosting things because you said I'm speaking, I'm sharing. Ain't
- 43:57Speaker 3: nobody asking me to come speak. Let me make it pop. Yeah. Oh,
- 44:01Speaker 3: I got ahead of him. And so she really, Deronda Williams,
- 44:06Speaker 3: really helped me in that season see myself in a
- 44:11Speaker 3: new way, but truly see God in a new way
- 44:14Speaker 3: and to mature in the spirit. She really helped me
- 44:18Speaker 3: mature in the spirit. And so there are certain people
- 44:21Speaker 3: where I am open to pouring into because it happened
- 44:25Speaker 3: for me. Yeah. You understand? Yeah.
- 44:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 44:28Speaker 3: Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas.
- 44:30Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
- 44:33Speaker 3: Kim. Because I'm not free. Be clear. No, I know that.
- 44:36Speaker 3: I'm not. But there are certain people who inbox me
- 44:39Speaker 3: and I politely be like, I don't know. Yeah.
- 44:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 44:43Speaker 3: I think you bring up a good point though. Serve them. Yeah.
- 44:47Speaker 2: I think you bring up a good point because the struggle,
- 44:49Speaker 2: like I was talking earlier about the people that mostly
- 44:52Speaker 2: are listening, struggle with the idea of faith meeting marketplace.
- 44:56Speaker 3: Yeah, you got to pay your bills.
- 44:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 45:00Speaker 2: You ain't got to tell me right now. But I
- 45:05Speaker 2: think understanding, I heard somebody say, I'm not, I heard
- 45:11Speaker 2: somebody say the other day.
- 45:13Speaker 3: Well, Jesus didn't want us to sell anything. He wanted
- 45:15Speaker 3: us to be a giver. That's, that's true.
- 45:20Speaker 2: But the idea of limiting the gift that's supposed to
- 45:25Speaker 2: make room for us is I think we only look
- 45:29Speaker 2: at that part and that's the only part that we're taught,
- 45:32Speaker 2: which is also teaching us to be broke believers.
- 45:35Speaker 3: Oh, that's very true. I have journals that I sell.
- 45:40Speaker 3: I have merch that I sell. He told me to
- 45:42Speaker 3: create that stuff, not me. I'm creative and I love
- 45:47Speaker 3: all the things, but some of it, I'm not giving
- 45:53Speaker 3: it away. If you go to my website, it's the
- 45:56Speaker 3: price difference. Did you ever struggle with that? Yes. Okay.
- 46:01Speaker 3: Because so my first women's conferences, I had a partner
- 46:06Speaker 3: in those. It was branching into a new realm. And
- 46:11Speaker 3: it was from the branching. Because I think sometimes God
- 46:19Speaker 3: gives you a vision. And it's nothing against my partner
- 46:24Speaker 3: at the time because we're still friends.
- 46:25Speaker 1: Right.
- 46:25Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying? She is like the bomb
- 46:27Speaker 3: on her own. But I think I asked her into
- 46:31Speaker 3: my vision and it might not have been what I
- 46:36Speaker 3: was supposed to do at the time. Do you understand? Yeah,
- 46:38Speaker 3: that makes sense. And so I think that we had
- 46:42Speaker 3: a women's conference from 14 through 18 every year. We
- 46:48Speaker 3: would sell out. It would be great. But I would
- 46:52Speaker 3: sell tickets for like $ 35 and then we would go
- 46:55Speaker 3: in the hole. Because if I'm going to do anything,
- 46:59Speaker 3: I walk in the spirit of excellence. So it is
- 47:02Speaker 3: going to be top tier. Yeah. I mean, live flowers.
- 47:06Speaker 3: I mean, great food, multiple choices. You understand? Yeah. And
- 47:09Speaker 3: so I think we were just in a place where
- 47:14Speaker 3: we may have gotten ahead of God, but I think
- 47:16Speaker 3: the whole thing, like he was calling her to something.
- 47:20Speaker 3: He was calling me to something, but I'm not sure
- 47:23Speaker 3: if we were supposed to be doing that together. Now,
- 47:26Speaker 3: did people get blessed at our events? Yes. Did people
- 47:30Speaker 3: hear the gospel at our events? Yes. People still inbox
- 47:34Speaker 3: me or text me about times at those conferences, right?
- 47:41Speaker 3: But is it exactly the way God wanted me to
- 47:44Speaker 3: do it? I'm not sure. I don't think so, right? Yeah.
- 47:49Speaker 3: I know for a fact they retreat. I was out
- 47:52Speaker 3: of order. Complicated order. Out of order. Yeah, for sure.
- 47:57Speaker 3: It was phenomenal. Speaking from Florida, speaking from here, all
- 48:01Speaker 3: the things, but I got ahead of him.
- 48:05Speaker 2: How did you know that, though? If it was good,
- 48:09Speaker 2: because this is the argument. I had a survey, feedback, phenomenal.
- 48:13Speaker 3: Phenomenal. Tears, folks laying out on the floor.
- 48:16Speaker 4: How do you go from the experience to the To knowing?
- 48:20Speaker 3: To the instruction of like- Because I had a bill
- 48:26Speaker 3: for $ 3, 228. When God calls you to do something and
- 48:31Speaker 3: it is the right time for that to be done,
- 48:34Speaker 3: it's going to be fully paid, right? I would think,
- 48:40Speaker 3: why would he tell me to do something and then
- 48:42Speaker 3: leave me with- Burden. Yeah. Or my husband with a burden.
- 48:48Speaker 3: Because- That impacted him too. That's money from our savings.
- 48:54Speaker 3: Do you know what I'm saying? Yeah. I don't think
- 48:57Speaker 3: God would do that to us.
- 48:59Speaker 4: Oh, I just had a revelation.
- 49:01Speaker 3: I just don't. So basically what we're saying is.
- 49:07Speaker 2: When God funds it, the funds are really God's and
- 49:12Speaker 2: I don't have to bear the burden of the success.
- 49:15Speaker 2: But because you did it, you had to bear the
- 49:18Speaker 2: burden of success. I know.
- 49:20Speaker 3: He called me to create a retreat for women who
- 49:24Speaker 3: are in leadership, who need a safe space. I'm no
- 49:28Speaker 3: doubt about it. Was 2019 the year to do it though?
- 49:34Speaker 3: I don't think so. The gifts I gave them, phenomenal.
- 49:39Speaker 3: The meals, phenomenal. But was it, was that, yeah. So
- 49:47Speaker 3: I had to learn. That's what your grandmama called bought sense? Yeah,
- 49:52Speaker 3: I can't do that anymore. Because my first ministry is
- 49:56Speaker 3: Team Davis. I ride hard for Team Davis. Because my
- 49:59Speaker 3: man ride hard for me. He take care of me.
- 50:02Speaker 3: He loves me well. He's kind. I don't know how
- 50:04Speaker 3: the Lord gave him to me because maybe my mouth
- 50:06Speaker 3: was some serious, but that's another story for another day.
- 50:09Speaker 3: But Austin, Reed Davis, Clarence, Sharon Davis, those are like
- 50:15Speaker 3: best thing ever happened to me. So I know God
- 50:18Speaker 3: won't call me to ministry to bless women and hurt
- 50:22Speaker 3: my family. That's not going to happen. That's good. I
- 50:26Speaker 3: got ahead of God. And I'm woman enough to say-
- 50:29Speaker 3: I messed up. I'm glad y'all was blessed. I'm glad
- 50:33Speaker 3: y'all enjoy. They still wear the bracelets I gave. I
- 50:36Speaker 3: got pictures of it. You know what I'm saying?
- 50:38Speaker 2: Well, I feel like the Lord still shows up because
- 50:40Speaker 2: for one, your heart posture was still pure to do.
- 50:44Speaker 3: It in the name. Yeah, but he loves his daughters.
- 50:45Speaker 3: He's not going to put his daughters in. Especially if
- 50:49Speaker 3: they need something.
- 50:49Speaker 1: Correct.
- 50:50Speaker 3: So he's still going to show up and do what
- 50:51Speaker 3: he said because he's in the name of the Lord. Yeah,
- 50:53Speaker 3: I didn't make a dime from that. People think you
- 50:56Speaker 3: make a lot of money from hosting a video. I
- 50:59Speaker 3: went in the hole $ 3, 000. Thank you. Merry Christmas. No, ma'am.
- 51:07Speaker 1: No.
- 51:08Speaker 3: I am going to still thank you.
- 51:10Speaker 1: Merry Christmas.
- 51:11Speaker 3: You can have her.
- 51:12Speaker 4: Anytime I see you, I'm like, hey, girl, thank you.
- 51:14Speaker 3: Merry Christmas. Yes, you can have her. I love it.
- 51:17Speaker 3: I think this is a good conversation. This is why.
- 51:20Speaker 2: Because I think on the watching people maneuver, especially as...
- 51:26Speaker 2: calculated and put together you seem.
- 51:29Speaker 3: I am. That's facts.
- 51:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 51:31Speaker 3: I'm going to always be put together. So... No, but
- 51:38Speaker 3: I don't play about walking in excellence. That's my standard.
- 51:43Speaker 3: Not that I have to be excellent. He does it
- 51:47Speaker 3: for me. And because I am his image bearer, I'm
- 51:50Speaker 3: not going to show up any less than my bright, bubbly,
- 51:53Speaker 3: bomb self. Why would I not? You see what I'm saying? Yeah. Yeah,
- 51:57Speaker 3: I mean that. Like, everything I do is going to
- 51:59Speaker 3: be done in excellence. But I don't have to be excellent.
- 52:02Speaker 3: My daddy is, right?
- 52:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 52:05Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean that.
- 52:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 52:08Speaker 2: You didn't allow me to forget what I was going
- 52:10Speaker 2: to say.
- 52:11Speaker 3: But we brought up the.
- 52:13Speaker 2: Term image bearer multiple times.
- 52:16Speaker 3: Yes.
- 52:16Speaker 2: Clarify what an image bearer is and the responsibility of
- 52:20Speaker 2: an image bearer.
- 52:21Speaker 3: Oh, that's so good because this is something I love
- 52:23Speaker 3: talking about. So let's think about this. When you work
- 52:28Speaker 3: at a company, this is the best way I can
- 52:30Speaker 3: explain it. My job is not the best one to use.
- 52:35Speaker 3: But let's say you work at Blockbuster because they closed.
- 52:40Speaker 3: I used to love going to Blockbuster on Friday night
- 52:43Speaker 3: when I was young.
- 52:44Speaker 2: Get you a little real. I remember Blockbuster. It was
- 52:49Speaker 2: on Bessemer Superhighway.
- 52:52Speaker 3: It was?
- 52:53Speaker 2: It was a treat because Daddy was single. And when
- 52:55Speaker 2: we could get us a Blockbuster.
- 52:57Speaker 3: Movie, it was a treat. I remember Blockbuster. That's so funny. Okay, yes. Okay.
- 53:03Speaker 3: So let's say you work for Blockbuster, and when someone
- 53:05Speaker 3: comes in Blockbuster, they're going to have on a shirt
- 53:07Speaker 3: with a logo, right? And so you know you have to, oh,
- 53:12Speaker 3: thank you, Holy Spirit. He said use Chick-fil-A. What? Okay,
- 53:15Speaker 3: I like Blockbuster. We're going to use Chick-fil-A. Yes, ma'am.
- 53:18Speaker 1: Okay.
- 53:19Speaker 3: Chick-fil-A has a standard. They do.
- 53:22Speaker 1: Okay?
- 53:23Speaker 3: Now they meet lately, but a little different, but we're
- 53:25Speaker 3: going to talk about that. But they have a standard.
- 53:27Speaker 3: How they serve you has a standard. They wear shirts
- 53:31Speaker 3: with their logo on it, okay? I really don't like
- 53:34Speaker 3: them children standing out in the rain and in the heat,
- 53:36Speaker 3: but that's new. That ain't mine. I don't own it,
- 53:38Speaker 3: so whatever. But you know when you go there, they're
- 53:42Speaker 3: going to say, my pleasure. Anytime you say thank you,
- 53:47Speaker 3: they hand you something, they say, my pleasure. They have
- 53:50Speaker 3: a standard. The chicken's going to be hot. The fry's
- 53:53Speaker 3: going to be good. The lemonade going to be tart.
- 53:55Speaker 3: Whatever your thing is, right? So as kids, An image
- 54:00Speaker 3: bearer for Chick-fil-A, they know they say, you know what
- 54:04Speaker 3: to expect when you go. If it does not look
- 54:07Speaker 3: like that, I saw somebody post, they did say, my pleasure.
- 54:11Speaker 3: They said, thank you. They done called the manager. You
- 54:13Speaker 3: know what you expect when you go there. This is good.
- 54:17Speaker 3: So as an image bearer for Christ, I am an
- 54:21Speaker 3: ambassador for the kingdom.
- 54:23Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 54:24Speaker 3: That means I don't ever want to do anything that
- 54:29Speaker 3: makes someone look at Christ and say, I don't want
- 54:32Speaker 3: no parts of that. They know, they think they know
- 54:37Speaker 3: who he is, right? They think they know who he is.
- 54:41Speaker 3: They believe that Christians can be judgmental and unkind sometimes.
- 54:46Speaker 3: So I am, as his image bearer, I want to
- 54:49Speaker 3: always be the light and be kind and show them
- 54:53Speaker 3: That I love you. You could be in sin. I'm
- 54:58Speaker 3: going to speak truth to that sin from a place
- 55:01Speaker 3: of love. But we still going to rock together because
- 55:05Speaker 3: he called me to walk as his image bearer. Jesus
- 55:09Speaker 3: kicked it with a whole lot of people. He was
- 55:12Speaker 3: with the woman at the well. He was with Zacharias.
- 55:17Speaker 3: He was with... Nicodemus, even though Nicodemus didn't want to
- 55:22Speaker 3: kick it with him until it was nighttime. But the
- 55:23Speaker 3: point is, he was with a whole lot of different people.
- 55:27Speaker 3: And a lot of people like to use that and
- 55:29Speaker 3: say Jesus was with everybody. He didn't care.
- 55:32Speaker 1: He did.
- 55:34Speaker 3: He was with everybody, but he did not sit in
- 55:39Speaker 3: the sin with them. He called them out of it.
- 55:44Speaker 3: So as his image bearer, Because we are in the world,
- 55:48Speaker 3: he has called us to be in it and not
- 55:50Speaker 3: of it. That means we're going to walk in rooms,
- 55:55Speaker 3: in jobs, in schools, in grocery stores, on the freeway
- 56:00Speaker 3: when somebody flips you off. Like you're going to be
- 56:03Speaker 3: in situations where you can easily look like the world.
- 56:07Speaker 3: But what choice will you make as his ambassador for
- 56:11Speaker 3: the kingdom to show someone something different? Now, how can
- 56:15Speaker 3: we do that? We got to know what the Bible
- 56:18Speaker 3: says about his image bearers. Ephesians is a great place
- 56:21Speaker 3: to learn, especially Ephesians 1, 2, and 3, right? Acts
- 56:26Speaker 3: is a great place to learn because that's where we
- 56:28Speaker 3: learn about the early church. Like there are examples in
- 56:32Speaker 3: the Bible that can teach us, but it's really just
- 56:34Speaker 3: you being your authentic self, not somebody else. He made
- 56:40Speaker 3: you here the way you are, looking like you look
- 56:44Speaker 3: with the gifts you have because somebody needs what you
- 56:48Speaker 3: have inside of you to understand who he is. Yeah.
- 56:52Speaker 2: Right?
- 56:53Speaker 3: And then those seeds that you plant as his image bearer,
- 56:58Speaker 3: hopefully it leads them to him. Yeah. And they get
- 57:01Speaker 3: in their word and they learn more about his character
- 57:04Speaker 3: and they learn more about who they are in him.
- 57:07Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 57:08Speaker 3: So that's how I describe an image bearer is you
- 57:13Speaker 3: reflecting Jesus, showing the world what he looks like here,
- 57:19Speaker 3: walking around, being your true authentic self. Now listen, I
- 57:24Speaker 3: think sometimes we, in order to truly be an image bearer,
- 57:29Speaker 3: we have to spend time with him and allow him
- 57:35Speaker 3: to mold, shape, cut off, the things that don't look
- 57:40Speaker 3: like him so we don't misrepresent him as his ambassador.
- 57:46Speaker 3: You understand? You know how those Chick-fil-A people have to
- 57:49Speaker 3: go through training before they get out there and stand
- 57:52Speaker 3: in the heat? I really want y'all to do something
- 57:54Speaker 3: about that with them teenagers out there in the rain
- 57:57Speaker 3: in a poncho. In the drive-thru. But anyway, maybe I
- 58:02Speaker 3: need to buy one, Lord. Come on, speak it. I really,
- 58:08Speaker 3: I really, you know, how they go through a training.
- 58:11Speaker 3: They have a training manual. What we do too is
- 58:14Speaker 3: the Bible, the word. So it tells us everything we
- 58:18Speaker 3: need to know. But it also talks to us about
- 58:21Speaker 3: God revealing the secret things. And the only way that's
- 58:25Speaker 3: going to come is if we spend time in that
- 58:27Speaker 3: quiet place Prayer first thing in the morning, late at night,
- 58:30Speaker 3: whatever it is, where you're not just running your mouth.
- 58:32Speaker 3: You're listening to what he has to tell you about
- 58:35Speaker 3: how you need to show up and impact your corner
- 58:38Speaker 3: of the world for the kingdom. Right? So that's what
- 58:41Speaker 3: it looks like to me. I think that's a good
- 58:44Speaker 3: interpretation of that. And I think.
- 58:48Speaker 2: It gave language to those that may not understood what
- 58:52Speaker 2: you were saying. So I think, Desiree, I'm going to
- 58:56Speaker 2: go ahead and say this. I feel like this can't be.
- 58:59Speaker 4: The last time for Kim.
- 59:01Speaker 3: Oh, come on, two times? No, multiple.
- 59:05Speaker 4: I'm about to tell you what I just heard.
- 59:07Speaker 3: Okay.
- 59:07Speaker 2: I heard to tell you that when... if you feel led,
- 59:12Speaker 2: call me and say, Jessica, we need to talk about this.
- 59:17Speaker 3: Oh.
- 59:17Speaker 2: So revolving doors are given to certain people. I don't
- 59:22Speaker 2: think we got a lot of revolving doors.
- 59:24Speaker 3: I think it may be you. It's a few. I
- 59:27Speaker 3: feel like Coach JD and Bree are probably like three. Yeah,
- 59:31Speaker 3: Coach JD and Bree. Oh, so this is like the
- 59:33Speaker 3: golden button on America? Yes, this is the golden button.
- 59:40Speaker 3: Like this is, hey. I told you the Lord has
- 59:42Speaker 3: dealt with me with exclusivity. I'm trying to stay humble.
- 59:47Speaker 2: This is the golden button. I'm just saying.
- 59:48Speaker 1: Okay.
- 59:49Speaker 4: Because that means you also have the.
- 59:51Speaker 3: Sound for our podcast. people. Oh, that's so good. Thank you.
- 59:54Speaker 4: So I understand this.
- 59:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I might say just as, but when the Lord said, hey,
- 59:59Speaker 2: tell them they can come back.
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: Breeda came back.
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: I think she's been our most revolving door. Yeah, I
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: got to go find Bre.
- 1:00:06Speaker 4: Yo, you and Bre would connect.
- 1:00:09Speaker 3: Oh, the oil that will flow.
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: She is our, if I would have to say, she
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: is our prophetic voice for just as.
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: Oh, that's so good.
- 1:00:19Speaker 4: She's like the apostolic Yes. Leader of it. So I
- 1:00:23Speaker 4: was just like, so we have trainings with her.
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: We pray. She's watching. She called both of us out.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: Wow.
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: Yeah, Brie plays no games. She's my best friend also. Wow.
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: Good.
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: But I know when the anointing is coming, so I submit.
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: So I submitted under her covering. But then Coach JD
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: and Coach D are my spiritual leaders, parents.
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: And then you.
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: You.
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: Oh, you're so sweet. So you have... Enjoy. All y'all prophetic. Oh, wow.
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: So y'all have something in common.
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: And I think y'all see different things, different areas, but
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: the sound is the same.
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: Oh, that's good.
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: And so when you have those type of people, it's like, oh,
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: now there's a responsibility. It was like, Jessica, no, don't
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: do that. So now when you do that, I'll be like, okay, Lord,
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: you done opened this door. So the door is open
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: for you.
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: Who is Joy to you? Because she told you to
- 1:01:22Speaker 3: delete something and you didn't. I saw it. Joy's like
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: a big sister. I called her afterwards. Okay, you just
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: decided to leave it up? No, no, no. I called
- 1:01:31Speaker 3: her for clarity. Oh, she did? I said, do I
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: really have to delete this? She was like, no. Oh,
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: she's being facetious. Joy, you can't. I'm going to call her.
- 1:01:44Speaker 3: I saw that and I responded.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: Oh, y'all, I can't be doing this.
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: What?
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: What?
- 1:01:55Speaker 3: Let me say this, though. Listen to me, Jessica. Listen,
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: where you are going, you can't even play like that anymore.
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: Do you understand?
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: Yes, ma'am.
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: Because there are people who will see that and some
- 1:02:15Speaker 3: will laugh. You know what I'm saying? But then there
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: are other people who may see it and be like,
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: what is this? You know what I'm saying? Now, I
- 1:02:22Speaker 3: got it.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: It was a joke. Right? And it was kind of funny.
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: But I said, oh, she said delete. Is she the
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: leftist up here? Okay. Yeah. It's just a new season.
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: Well, she said the same thing. She was like, I'm
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: not saying you have to delete it. What I'm saying
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: is that you got to be mindful.
- 1:02:42Speaker 3: It was like an attractive thing. Your word holds weight
- 1:02:46Speaker 3: in the kingdom. Not just on earth. Not just on
- 1:02:51Speaker 3: social media.
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:02:52Speaker 3: Your words hold weight. You can't say no anything anymore.
- 1:03:00Speaker 3: You have to be mindful. You don't know. No way.
- 1:03:05Speaker 3: You right. Why would you even say? No, ma'am.
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: No.
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: And he is your source. Like, he is not playing
- 1:03:13Speaker 3: with you in this season. No, ma'am. Your words hold weight.
- 1:03:19Speaker 3: He created the world with words. He said, let there be,
- 1:03:25Speaker 3: let there be light, let there be, right? Yeah. The
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: only thing he formed without the words, and he still
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: called some folks to help, let us, right? He still spoke,
- 1:03:41Speaker 3: let us go and create, right? Man in our image.
- 1:03:45Speaker 3: But he got down and touched us and formed us
- 1:03:47Speaker 3: with his hands. Everything else was words. Don't play. Like that.
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: I'm going to go delete it. I'm going to go
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: delete that post. I had a lot of things. I
- 1:03:58Speaker 3: was like, God, I didn't know it was going to
- 1:04:00Speaker 3: come that fast.
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: That's right.
- 1:04:02Speaker 3: Yeah. You are no, you are not who you used
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: to be. She's still there. That's the beauty of it.
- 1:04:08Speaker 3: Like when I share with you about being the mean
- 1:04:10Speaker 3: girl and not the mean that would bully people, but
- 1:04:12Speaker 3: the kind that didn't really see everybody like she's still there,
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: but it's a choice I make every day to walk
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: in kindness and Because being me is not a fruit
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: of the spirit. If I say I am who I
- 1:04:27Speaker 3: say I am, if I really am her as his
- 1:04:31Speaker 3: image bearer, right, I'm reflecting him. Now, does my flesh
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: rise up? Absolutely. Do I get mad? Absolutely. Do I
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: have to remind myself that ain't kind? Absolutely. Because I'm human. But...
- 1:04:48Speaker 3: I'm not who I used to be. I can't do
- 1:04:50Speaker 3: what I used to do. I can't go where I
- 1:04:52Speaker 3: used to go.
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: I can't.
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: So I can't post... You know how much stuff I
- 1:04:56Speaker 3: want to wish I could post? I want to do...
- 1:04:58Speaker 3: I don't understand what's going on. What's that new trend?
- 1:05:02Speaker 5: Uh.
- 1:05:03Speaker 3: Duh.
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: Duh.
- 1:05:04Speaker 3: Baby, let's get it.
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: Yeah!
- 1:05:05Speaker 3: I love that! I love that song! Like, yeah. I'm, like,
- 1:05:10Speaker 3: living people. But what would it look like if I
- 1:05:12Speaker 3: posted that on social media? I think... Okay, so... For
- 1:05:17Speaker 3: a moment. People would be confused. So this is where
- 1:05:19Speaker 3: I am.
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: This is just a very transparent moment that I don't
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: mind having right now. This is where I am as
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: a content creator, as a podcaster, as a front-facing brand.
- 1:05:31Speaker 3: You know, a forward-facing brand.
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: I have this idea where people, one side, you the
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: church lady.
- 1:05:38Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, I am the church lady. I am the
- 1:05:41Speaker 3: one that.
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: I can't even, you know what I'm saying? There's no
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: slipping up, right? But then I have people that have
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: gone beyond the church lady identifier and said, no, Jessica,
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: you're righteously cool.
- 1:05:56Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying?
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: I wish people would see that you're funny. I wish
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: people would see da-da-da-da. I wish people could see that.
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: I'm not trying to blend it. I want to learn,
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: be able to say, I believe in God and, you
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: know what I'm saying, this. So it's Right now, I
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: am navigating what that looks like for Jessica.
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: Yeah. Because it's like... Ooh, and old people do it too.
- 1:06:22Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 1:06:22Speaker 4: Like, I don't know what that looks like. Because I
- 1:06:27Speaker 4: don't think it was... You know, I made.
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: And of course, I was joking. Yeah, I knew you
- 1:06:31Speaker 3: were joking. I'm just like, yeah, these having bills is ghetto.
- 1:06:33Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying? Because it is.
- 1:06:36Speaker 4: The outcome of that, when it's like.
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: Even you saying you delete, she said delete and you
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: ain't delete that. Now I'm like, okay, I don't want
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: that to look like it's dishonor.
- 1:06:48Speaker 3: But who is she to? That's why I asked. Yeah,
- 1:06:50Speaker 3: but still somebody else could have saw that and thought
- 1:06:53Speaker 3: the same thing. You get what I'm saying?
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: And it's like, okay, how do you want this mantle
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: to be dressed up like, Lord?
- 1:07:01Speaker 3: Like, what does this look like? I take that out. What?
- 1:07:04Speaker 3: Dressed up. What I mean by that is.
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: Yeah, fix it.
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: What I mean by that is, how do I look?
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying? What is my attraction point?
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: What I mean by that is, every Christian is not
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: the same. Every believer is not the same.
- 1:07:21Speaker 3: That's right.
- 1:07:21Speaker 4: Everybody has different personalities.
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: That's right. I'm not as.
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: as fashionably together as you as you are okay I
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: am working on my I have always been this way
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: though yeah but I you know what I'm saying but
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: that's your thing correct I'm trying to navigate my thing
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: in the concept and representation of my who has.
- 1:07:46Speaker 3: God shown you you are and if you don't know
- 1:07:49Speaker 3: it's okay but who has God shown you you are
- 1:07:55Speaker 3: Have you asked him who you are? Just ask. Have
- 1:07:59Speaker 3: you asked who he says you are? Who has he
- 1:08:05Speaker 3: shown you you are? I don't have anything to ask again. Oh,
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: and that's fair. That's fine. I think sometimes, though, Jessica,
- 1:08:19Speaker 3: we have, so 2021, that year? Mm-hmm. I think there
- 1:08:24Speaker 3: were some things from childhood I had to clean up
- 1:08:27Speaker 3: in preparation for where I have to go so that
- 1:08:31Speaker 3: I wouldn't bleed on people or only be focused on
- 1:08:36Speaker 3: helping people heal and not showing people God's character. I
- 1:08:42Speaker 3: was focusing more on pain than purpose and glorifying the kingdom.
- 1:08:49Speaker 3: And so it's okay if you don't know in this season.
- 1:08:53Speaker 3: But you have to ask him to show you who
- 1:08:56Speaker 3: he says you are. I believe something that other people
- 1:08:59Speaker 3: may not believe, but it's straight from scripture. If you
- 1:09:02Speaker 3: think about how Jeremiah 1 talks to us about how
- 1:09:06Speaker 3: before I placed you in your mother's womb, I knew you.
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: I believe that there is an agreement that we make
- 1:09:14Speaker 3: with him before we come here, okay, is what I believe.
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 1:09:20Speaker 3: It says, before I placed you in your mother's womb,
- 1:09:23Speaker 3: I knew you. That meant we spent time with him
- 1:09:26Speaker 3: before we got here. Okay? That means there's something that
- 1:09:31Speaker 3: we agreed to do to edify him, to glorify him
- 1:09:36Speaker 3: here as his image bearer. We have to be reminded
- 1:09:40Speaker 3: sometimes of what that is. That's why I'm very secure
- 1:09:44Speaker 3: in what he's called me to do. Hence the prophetic
- 1:09:47Speaker 3: thing that ain't my lane. I'm prophetic, but I ain't
- 1:09:50Speaker 3: called to teach nobody how to do that. I know
- 1:09:53Speaker 3: for a fact that is not the agreement I made.
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:09:58Speaker 3: So ask him because there has been a calling on
- 1:10:03Speaker 3: you before he formed this earth. He knew you. He
- 1:10:07Speaker 3: knew nothing you've walked through these past two months has
- 1:10:11Speaker 3: taken him by surprise. Nothing. Right. Right. So that means
- 1:10:16Speaker 3: you're asking him constantly to reveal to you, what am
- 1:10:20Speaker 3: I supposed to learn from this? God, where do I
- 1:10:24Speaker 3: see you in this? Who am I supposed to help
- 1:10:27Speaker 3: in the midst of this? Is this a season for
- 1:10:29Speaker 3: me to just rest? God, am I supposed to find
- 1:10:33Speaker 3: somebody to pour into me right now? Am I supposed
- 1:10:35Speaker 3: to be a safe space for a group of women
- 1:10:38Speaker 3: right now? Do I need to take a break? Do
- 1:10:39Speaker 3: you understand? Like ask him and he will tell you.
- 1:10:43Speaker 3: I know what I see, but what does Jessica have
- 1:10:49Speaker 3: to walk through in order to get to that, right?
- 1:10:52Speaker 3: Ask him. It's okay that you don't know, but you
- 1:10:55Speaker 3: need to ask again, right? Yeah. So he can show
- 1:11:00Speaker 3: you what to do. Like, I know this is a
- 1:11:05Speaker 3: season of writing for me. Do you know why I
- 1:11:07Speaker 3: stopped podcasting? You want to know why? Why? You don't know.
- 1:11:11Speaker 3: You want to know why? Because he told me. I
- 1:11:14Speaker 3: did that just to get a book deal. I've been
- 1:11:16Speaker 3: trying to get a book deal since 2018, a traditionally
- 1:11:20Speaker 3: published book deal. And he told me, I met with
- 1:11:26Speaker 3: so many publishers, and I ain't going to name them all,
- 1:11:28Speaker 3: big ones. Same thing. Platform is not big enough. I
- 1:11:32Speaker 3: love your personality. I love what you have to say,
- 1:11:34Speaker 3: but your platform needs to grow. Maybe if you got
- 1:11:37Speaker 3: a podcast, it could grow. Well, I started the podcast
- 1:11:39Speaker 3: because of a publishing meeting.
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 1:11:43Speaker 3: And I was good at it, you know what I'm saying?
- 1:11:45Speaker 3: But he was like, yeah, you're good at it, but
- 1:11:47Speaker 3: is that God? Like, it's good, but is it God?
- 1:11:51Speaker 3: Did I tell you to do that? So I had
- 1:11:54Speaker 3: to stop. Now, will I pick it back up again?
- 1:11:57Speaker 3: Maybe so. But it was for a season, but it
- 1:12:02Speaker 3: wasn't the right heart behind it. Yeah, yeah. And it's
- 1:12:06Speaker 3: okay if we have to shift and... move and transition
- 1:12:12Speaker 3: so that he can get the glory from our lives.
- 1:12:15Speaker 3: And so we stay in the will of God and
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: not out of his will. And that we continue to
- 1:12:21Speaker 3: walk in obedience to him. Right? Right. Because life is
- 1:12:26Speaker 3: hard enough when we're on his side. It's worse when
- 1:12:32Speaker 3: we're out of his will. Way worse.
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: It is. Mm-hmm.
- 1:12:36Speaker 3: Yeah, it is. And I received it. I received. I received. Desiree.
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: I'm sorry I went over my time 12 times. No,
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: you listen. The prophet's been talking today. I'm just, I've
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: just been over here like, I told Desiree when we
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: started today, I.
- 1:12:55Speaker 4: Was like, I feel like.
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: The day ain't normal. The day ain't normal, and it
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: has proven not to be normal. Because normally, I feel
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: like I'm on my A-game. Like, I got a podcast. Oh,
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: it's just a podcast.
- 1:13:13Speaker 4: But you got to know who's showing up.
- 1:13:17Speaker 3: So, I'm sitting here, and my arms might be folded,
- 1:13:19Speaker 3: but I shouldn't have folded my arms. I'm like.
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: No, you're fine. Yeah, I'm listening. I ain't trying to
- 1:13:25Speaker 2: fight no more, Kim.
- 1:13:27Speaker 3: That's so good.
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: I'm really not trying to fight no more, because... It
- 1:13:30Speaker 2: puts me back in a place where I have to re-heal.
- 1:13:34Speaker 3: Yeah, and battle depression. Who wants to do that?
- 1:13:37Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:13:39Speaker 3: So I ain't even trying to do it no more, dawg.
- 1:13:43Speaker 3: That is so funny. That sounds like something my best
- 1:13:46Speaker 3: friend would say. I ain't even trying to do it
- 1:13:48Speaker 3: no more, dog. It's a wrap. Desiree, talk to us.
- 1:13:52Speaker 3: What you, what you hearing over there? We sorry, Desiree.
- 1:13:53Speaker 3: We went all off the, uh, sorry.
- 1:13:55Speaker 2: No, so I'll, I'll, I mean, we've been talking today.
- 1:13:59Speaker 2: I think everybody we've had has, has, has been talking
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: really good. Meaning, meaning that, uh, as, as Jess mentioned, um,
- 1:14:09Speaker 2: She prepares because she has the knowledge and the wisdom
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: to a podcasting.
- 1:14:15Speaker 3: Right. But I think she's also.
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: Aware.
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: I think she's she's becoming OK with this not being
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: a normal podcasting platform.
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:14:26Speaker 3: When she say I don't own it, she really means
- 1:14:28Speaker 3: like this really is the Lord's.
- 1:14:30Speaker 2: So let me yield to what the Lord wants to
- 1:14:32Speaker 2: do today. So when she walked in, she said, I
- 1:14:33Speaker 2: feel like this is going to be a Holy Spirit.
- 1:14:35Speaker 3: Kind of day.
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: I didn't really understand what she was saying at the time.
- 1:14:37Speaker 2: I thought she was saying as we've been working on
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: like the ask. I didn't know if the questions were
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: going to be geared towards something Holy Spirit led. But
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: now I understand as we're.
- 1:14:48Speaker 3: 50 million hours in. It's been a day of identity. Oh,
- 1:14:55Speaker 3: that's so good.
- 1:14:56Speaker 2: It's been a day of identity and I think it's
- 1:14:59Speaker 2: on time as we're in seasons of transition, like even, even,
- 1:15:05Speaker 2: even Jessica, as she's, she's mentioned that she had been
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: released from her job. I think she had a moment of, okay,
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: without this thing, who am I? Without me doing this thing,
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: who am I?
- 1:15:17Speaker 3: If I'm not doing this like this, then who am I?
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: And for me, I think the recurring theme is like,
- 1:15:24Speaker 2: I don't know, like these conversations today have made me.
- 1:15:27Speaker 3: Feel like I'm not crazy.
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: Like, some of the things that I be thinking about and, like,
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: the Holy Spirit just kind of just lead me to
- 1:15:33Speaker 2: thinking about when I talk about, like, if he knew
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: me before I got here.
- 1:15:38Speaker 3: That's right. Like, then why.
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: It's almost kind of like I've been battling with what
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: I've been told who I am.
- 1:15:48Speaker 3: Why not go to the one who knows? Yeah. Yes,
- 1:15:51Speaker 3: and that's why that thing in you won't die. Yeah. Like,
- 1:15:54Speaker 3: I've asked God to remove... a dream from me because
- 1:16:00Speaker 3: I just want to speak. I just want to share
- 1:16:02Speaker 3: the gospel. That's it. On stage, it's it. Cute outfits.
- 1:16:05Speaker 3: But I was like, if this is not supposed to happen,
- 1:16:08Speaker 3: take it from me. And I saw Kev on stage
- 1:16:11Speaker 3: and I said, somebody else feel the same way. Because
- 1:16:14Speaker 3: sometimes waiting can make you feel like he's not going
- 1:16:16Speaker 3: to do it for you. But you know you're not crazy.
- 1:16:19Speaker 3: You know what you saw. You know what's in your heart.
- 1:16:22Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying?
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: So.
- 1:16:24Speaker 3: In the meantime, we wait. But while we wait, we serve,
- 1:16:28Speaker 3: we work, we show up with joy. We work as
- 1:16:30Speaker 3: though we're working unto the Lord and we listen and
- 1:16:33Speaker 3: we do what he says in the meantime. And then
- 1:16:35Speaker 3: when the thing comes, we like, oh, we so are
- 1:16:40Speaker 3: we ready? Because we've been in the fire. We've been refined.
- 1:16:46Speaker 3: Our character has been proven. He can trust us with
- 1:16:48Speaker 3: it now. See what I'm saying? And he knows that
- 1:16:52Speaker 3: we won't be arrogant about it. He'll get the glory.
- 1:16:56Speaker 3: That's all he needs is the glory. We're going to
- 1:16:58Speaker 3: give him the glory and lead people to him. We
- 1:17:00Speaker 3: don't want to lead people to us. We want to
- 1:17:01Speaker 3: lead people to him.
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: That's right.
- 1:17:03Speaker 3: Right? That's so good.
- 1:17:05Speaker 2: And the way you walk unapologetically in who you are,
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: I think.
- 1:17:10Speaker 3: It's so freeing. You know what I'm saying? You said, hey,
- 1:17:13Speaker 3: no matter what I'm doing, it's going to be excellent. Yeah,
- 1:17:15Speaker 3: for sure. Because the standard is the kingdom. Yeah. But
- 1:17:18Speaker 3: I don't have to put the pressure on me to
- 1:17:20Speaker 3: be perfect. That's right. You know what I'm saying? And
- 1:17:22Speaker 3: that to me, I just was like, let me put
- 1:17:24Speaker 3: that in my pocket.
- 1:17:27Speaker 2: I can show up in who God called me to be. Like,
- 1:17:30Speaker 2: I'm not a heels chick. Like, I love me a
- 1:17:32Speaker 2: good Chuck. I love me a good Blazer. Like, I'm
- 1:17:35Speaker 2: just like who I naturally am. And I actually had
- 1:17:38Speaker 2: to ask the Lord, like, is that really me? Or
- 1:17:41Speaker 2: is that, you know, through trauma and drama? And if
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: I'm honest, like, even as a young kid, I've always
- 1:17:45Speaker 2: been very modest. Very modest in my appearance. I've always
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: been very mindful of... Not that I'm not... Of how
- 1:17:55Speaker 2: I show up.
- 1:17:56Speaker 3: Like, not trying to be, like... Too much. Too much,
- 1:17:59Speaker 3: in a sense.
- 1:17:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:18:00Speaker 3: And I think that's just a part of the nature of.
- 1:18:03Speaker 2: of who i am and what he's calling me to
- 1:18:05Speaker 2: like i like you have to be a representation of
- 1:18:08Speaker 2: a certain way you know what i'm saying yeah i'm
- 1:18:09Speaker 2: still unpacking that but i'm like okay lord i have
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: been through some trauma and that's not it because even
- 1:18:14Speaker 2: at 12 years old my grandma bought me a a
- 1:18:17Speaker 2: short set that was a crop top and some shorts
- 1:18:19Speaker 2: and i would not wear it yeah at 12 you
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: know what i'm saying so even in that i just
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: love that we can be wholeheartedly naturally who god called
- 1:18:27Speaker 2: us to be Yes.
- 1:18:29Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying?
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:18:31Speaker 3: And show up as the church girl. Show up as
- 1:18:33Speaker 3: the thought leader.
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: Show up however in the spaces that he called us
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: to be because we bear his image and we have his.
- 1:18:39Speaker 3: Power in us. That's right. So you just, thank you, Ms.
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: Kim.
- 1:18:43Speaker 3: We look forward to having you back. You're welcome, Desiree.
- 1:18:45Speaker 5: All right.
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: Sure.
- 1:18:46Speaker 3: Sure.
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: Sure.
- 1:18:51Speaker 2: Baby, I'm over here, like, I'm like, God, I text
- 1:18:55Speaker 2: my friend today, and I was like, I don't know
- 1:18:59Speaker 2: what's going to happen today, and I'm most nervous about Kim.
- 1:19:02Speaker 3: Hmm. What?
- 1:19:04Speaker 2: Not because I'm uncomfortable with you, but because I know
- 1:19:07Speaker 2: what you carry. I don't play with people when they
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: carry stuff like this.
- 1:19:13Speaker 3: I just don't. But can I say this to you? Listen, friend,
- 1:19:17Speaker 3: I'm still... Well, little sister, I am still just Kim, though.
- 1:19:21Speaker 2: You are.
- 1:19:21Speaker 3: Yeah, fact. But I don't play with that annoyance, though.
- 1:19:24Speaker 3: I'm going to tell you, don't put me on the pedestal.
- 1:19:26Speaker 3: It's not that it's an honor. Okay, don't do it. Okay.
- 1:19:28Speaker 3: It's not a pedestal. Okay, good. But I think.
- 1:19:32Speaker 4: If I don't honor it this way, I disrespect the oil.
- 1:19:37Speaker 3: I got it. Okay. I'm not going to disrespect the
- 1:19:39Speaker 3: oil because the oil, you didn't get it from yourself.
- 1:19:41Speaker 3: You get what I'm saying?
- 1:19:42Speaker 2: So for God to say, Jessica, I trust you to
- 1:19:45Speaker 2: be poured into like this.
- 1:19:47Speaker 3: Right. You get what I'm saying? So that's like me
- 1:19:50Speaker 3: and Deronda. Yes. That's how it was. Yes.
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: I get that.
- 1:19:53Speaker 3: Like my coach. Coach, if coach come here and say, hi, Jessica,
- 1:19:57Speaker 3: and that thing ain't switched, I'm I'm... You're going to
- 1:20:00Speaker 3: see me... You're going to see me do this. Okay?
- 1:20:04Speaker 2: And if people think it's a person thing, no. Because
- 1:20:06Speaker 2: I understand what it is.
- 1:20:08Speaker 3: To disrespect that. And I'm not going to do it.
- 1:20:12Speaker 3: I knew.
- 1:20:13Speaker 2: I just knew that you were going to come in
- 1:20:16Speaker 2: with some... It wasn't about me interviewing you, but you being.
- 1:20:21Speaker 3: Yeah, this is exposure. This is this.
- 1:20:23Speaker 4: But I knew you was coming with something. You weren't
- 1:20:25Speaker 4: coming empty-handed.
- 1:20:26Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. Yeah, you ain't coming... You weren't coming without assignment.
- 1:20:30Speaker 2: You said, the Lord told me I could come see you.
- 1:20:34Speaker 3: That means, watch this.
- 1:20:36Speaker 2: It's almost like when the prophet came to the lady
- 1:20:38Speaker 2: with the oil and she didn't know what was in
- 1:20:40Speaker 2: her house.
- 1:20:40Speaker 3: That's right. You came and said, this is what's in
- 1:20:43Speaker 3: your house.
- 1:20:43Speaker 4: Go pour it out.
- 1:20:44Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying? Like, I got to honor
- 1:20:47Speaker 3: that or I don't go where God wants me to go.
- 1:20:51Speaker 3: And so I knew. Oh, that's so good. I just knew. Oh, man,
- 1:20:55Speaker 3: that's so good. I just knew. You know the piece
- 1:20:57Speaker 3: of that story? Desiree, I swear we're going to cut
- 1:20:59Speaker 3: this out. I'm going to say this one thing. Listen,
- 1:21:03Speaker 3: here's the piece of that story that stands out to
- 1:21:05Speaker 3: me that God had to break off of my life.
- 1:21:09Speaker 3: She was blessed. Yes, it was what she had in
- 1:21:13Speaker 3: her house, but she had to go ask her neighbors
- 1:21:16Speaker 3: for jars. She had to admit what she did not have.
- 1:21:23Speaker 3: She had to admit that she needed something from someone.
- 1:21:27Speaker 3: And for some reason, we don't like to say what
- 1:21:29Speaker 3: we are lacking, whatever that is. We don't like to say,
- 1:21:33Speaker 3: I need help. We don't like to say that. Do
- 1:21:36Speaker 3: you have? Her blessing, yes, she had a little bit
- 1:21:41Speaker 3: of oil in her house, But she had to go
- 1:21:42Speaker 3: and get the jar. She had to collect the jars. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:21:46Speaker 3: Then the oil flowed. Yeah, that was only then. Because
- 1:21:50Speaker 3: she opened her mouth and said, I need a jar.
- 1:21:54Speaker 3: And then the oil flowed. And she was able to
- 1:21:57Speaker 3: pay off the debt. She didn't have to sell her children,
- 1:21:58Speaker 3: all the things. It was so phenomenal. He ate some bread.
- 1:22:01Speaker 3: She ate some bread. Nobody died. So good. But, yeah,
- 1:22:05Speaker 3: that breaking piece, she had to break that pride off her. Yeah.
- 1:22:09Speaker 3: Go ask for some help. But that's your connecting point.
- 1:22:12Speaker 3: So good.
- 1:22:13Speaker 4: With the river thing, that's the same thing you taught
- 1:22:15Speaker 4: us today.
- 1:22:15Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, for sure. Same thing. The connecting point. Because
- 1:22:19Speaker 3: I had pride. Mm-hmm. I believe that because I'm that
- 1:22:23Speaker 3: girl and I had a spirit of perfectionism on me,
- 1:22:26Speaker 3: had to do things a certain way, blah, blah, blah.
- 1:22:30Speaker 3: The Lord was like, let me go break this up
- 1:22:32Speaker 3: off of you, little girl, and show you you need people.
- 1:22:35Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:22:37Speaker 3: Same thing. Well, I'm grateful for you.
- 1:22:40Speaker 2: Listen, our tradition on Just Ask is to give our
- 1:22:44Speaker 2: guests the last say, right? And so if you have
- 1:22:48Speaker 2: anything on your heart, if you want to reiterate something
- 1:22:50Speaker 2: that you've said, I want to give you an opportunity
- 1:22:54Speaker 2: to share with our people before we end.
- 1:22:58Speaker 3: Final words. Oh, my goodness.
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:23:10Speaker 3: So it's so funny. There's someone who is going to
- 1:23:12Speaker 3: watch this who is dealing with wondering if they should
- 1:23:18Speaker 3: keep the baby. He said keep it. And this is
- 1:23:23Speaker 3: not about pro-life, pro-choice. It's not about that. He said
- 1:23:26Speaker 3: keep it because that child is coming here on assignment.
- 1:23:35Speaker 3: The baby is coming here on assignment. The baby is coming...
- 1:23:39Speaker 3: to save your life, whoever you are when you're watching this.
- 1:23:44Speaker 3: He said, keep the baby. The baby is coming on assignment. Also,
- 1:23:56Speaker 3: ask again. So just ask. Ask again. But this is
- 1:24:01Speaker 3: for Jessica to ask again. I want you to write out. Audience, Jessica, Desiree,
- 1:24:10Speaker 3: write out your vision. So you know how in Habakkuk 2,
- 1:24:15Speaker 3: how they talk about writing a vision, but you write
- 1:24:17Speaker 3: out the vision. But the piece before that a lot
- 1:24:19Speaker 3: of us skip is the fact that before God told
- 1:24:23Speaker 3: him to, God gave him the vision, he wrote it out,
- 1:24:27Speaker 3: and he told him to run with it. Habakkuk went
- 1:24:30Speaker 3: and sat and waited in the watchtower to hear what
- 1:24:35Speaker 3: God was going to say. That's right before he say,
- 1:24:39Speaker 3: write a vision, make plans. We don't ever talk about
- 1:24:41Speaker 3: the waiting and hearing what God would say. So to
- 1:24:46Speaker 3: whomever you are, I know the wait can be hard.
- 1:24:50Speaker 3: I know the wait can be heavy, but God is
- 1:24:52Speaker 3: going to keep his word to you. It's okay to
- 1:24:56Speaker 3: step away, take a pause, and let him tell you
- 1:25:00Speaker 3: exactly what the next step should be. And if it
- 1:25:03Speaker 3: is unconventional, that's even better. It doesn't have to look
- 1:25:06Speaker 3: like what you see. It's not supposed to look like
- 1:25:09Speaker 3: what you see, whether it's podcasting, whether it's starting a business,
- 1:25:14Speaker 3: whether it's creative. It's not supposed to look like what's
- 1:25:17Speaker 3: already here. That's why he placed it inside of you.
- 1:25:21Speaker 3: That's why you are unconventional. That's why you are your own, right?
- 1:25:27Speaker 3: That's it. That's all I got to say. That's it.
- 1:25:34Speaker 3: And do it now. That's it. Do it now. She's
- 1:25:41Speaker 3: so cute, y'all.
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: I love it.
- 1:25:45Speaker 2: Baby. I love me some Kim. When I tell you
- 1:25:48Speaker 2: I love you, bruh.
- 1:25:50Speaker 3: I love you, too. I love you real bad. And
- 1:25:52Speaker 3: I know what that is. That's Young Miami. Real bad.
- 1:25:56Speaker 3: I stay in the mix. Listen, y'all. Okay. All right.
- 1:26:08Speaker 3: I got to go digest this.
- 1:26:09Speaker 2: I know if I have to digest it, you have
- 1:26:12Speaker 2: to go digest it. And even if you had to
- 1:26:14Speaker 2: watch this in bits and pieces because it was.
- 1:26:16Speaker 3: Like, okay, and it landed on a... Okay.
- 1:26:22Speaker 2: Then I get it. For my listeners, tell me what
- 1:26:25Speaker 2: you're thinking about. What really stuck out to you in
- 1:26:30Speaker 2: the conversation? Let's talk about it in the chat. But
- 1:26:32Speaker 2: until next week, until next time, I need you to
- 1:26:34Speaker 2: remember that life could be much more simple if you
- 1:26:38Speaker 2: just ask. Thank you for tuning in to this week's
- 1:26:46Speaker 2: episode of Since you've made it this far, you might
- 1:26:49Speaker 2: as well connect with us on all.
- 1:26:51Speaker 3: Social media platforms at the Jessica S.
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: Smith.
- 1:26:55Speaker 2: I know I won't see you back until next week,
- 1:26:57Speaker 2: but until then, remember to love always yourself and always
- 1:27:04Speaker 2: thank God.
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: For another day. I know we could be another way.
- 1:27:13Speaker 5: Thank God for another day.
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: Hey, hey, I'm just thankful for another day.
- 1:27:23Speaker 5: Hey, hey, another day older, another day wiser, another day
- 1:27:29Speaker 5: to get it right, another day to rise up, another
- 1:27:31Speaker 5: day living, another day with loved ones. I always remember
- 1:27:35Speaker 5: holding down for above one.
