- 2:02[SPEAKER_01]: The greatest money mindset show on the planet.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_01]: Let's say most people don't lose money because they're broke.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_01]: They lose because they don't understand the game that they're playing.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_01]: Today's guests went from Navigate Impressions in New York,
- 2:19[SPEAKER_01]: to Atlanta by a real estate place, scaling restaurants, launching investment firms, and coaching high level earners on how to stop flexing money and start multiplying it.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_01]: Selim Khan, aka Cash, didn't just get rich, he learned how to turn lifestyle into leverage, and he is the real question.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_01]: What happens when the same discipline that builds a sold-out restaurant becomes the blueprint for financial freedom?
- 2:48[SPEAKER_01]: In this episode, we're breaking down how he built trust in an industry built on hype, how he sees investments differently than the average entrepreneur.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_01]: And while most earners stay broke despite making millions, if you think ownership is just about income, this episode shifts your entire perspective.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_01]: Stay until the end.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_01]: Because cash rigged down the exact mindset shift that separates earners from empire builders Ladies and gentlemen, my brother Salim Kaos I was calling Salim Kaos Salim Kaos Salim Kaos As we recorded this episode We're both observing Ramadan Yes So just to say this and let you know this is going to be a one of the blessed episode anyway Yes
- 3:36[SPEAKER_01]: Amazing.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_01]: But this is a extra blast.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_00]: This is one of the amazing months.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_00]: Of course, this is an amazing episode.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_00]: And I think having that episode for about four years, I told you last episode I did was, uh, with my guy, for that sort of cast.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, free to real, man.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I told my guy.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_00]: He definitely, uh, so, um, I kind of took a break for my, you know, episodes and podcasts and just,
- 3:58[SPEAKER_00]: just to get to know what I have to do in life.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_00]: Look, I'm a better person, a better businessman.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_00]: So I think I'm there, right?
- 4:03[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm still working at Dodo.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_00]: So this is going to be amazing, obviously.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, you know what I love, man?
- 4:07[SPEAKER_01]: I love the humility in people who other people look, including myself as like yo, yo, you that guy.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I'm saying?
- 4:21[SPEAKER_01]: Because when I see the level of success that you have,
- 4:26[SPEAKER_01]: I say, man, like, that's the inspiration, right?
- 4:30[SPEAKER_01]: Because you own restaurants, you got, you know, exotic cars, you like you do business at a high level.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_01]: You know the whole school, like you really are like, you really like the plug, you know what I'm saying?
- 4:44[SPEAKER_01]: And a lot of times,
- 4:46[SPEAKER_01]: People who are popular, right?
- 4:49[SPEAKER_01]: Let's just say something like myself or somebody who has like facial and main recognition and voice, like influence.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_01]: It really be the people, and people like you that really got all the money, that really got all the access of things of that nature, so I love how even at the level that you are right now, that you're still feeling like, I'm in development mode, because what that tells me is, you know, there isn't a place of arrival.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_01]: Right, like you're always gonna want to want to get better, but so we had a lot to talk about.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_01]: I wanted to talk about, you know, your history, the different moves you made, or that stuff.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_01]: But for those who may not know, right, who is Celine Khan, who is cash?
- 5:36[SPEAKER_00]: Oh man, I was consider myself a person that what was, what they say, shoot your shot.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I always been that person.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_00]: I've owned, so open the spice I was made time.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_00]: I have an restaurant before that.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_00]: It was called, there was O'Kami Lounge, which totally failed.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_00]: Come to the restaurant.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to talk about fair use music.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, that's what it says.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_00]: Because a lot of the time, like you said, the brand always get to see just like if I post everything or Instagram.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_00]: It's always, this is this, this, that button.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_00]: It's a lot of things that are coming
- 6:05[SPEAKER_00]: For now, I'm working back on my real estate.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_00]: I purchased a couple of commercial properties in Ohio four years ago.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: One of the best move I made got another restaurant opening up in downtown called here today.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: We wanted my guys.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: He was looking for assistance.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_00]: So we worked together.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_00]: Opened up space.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_00]: I was mid-time.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_00]: Got a restaurant on the east side called seafood social east.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_00]: And the car plays the program in cars for like 13 years.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_00]: That's like one of my favorite business.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_00]: But.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I do, man.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just a jack-all trace, but I'm focusing on making sure that I stick with one play right now.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's just going to be too late.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_01]: Let's talk about the rest of our business because I know there was a time, man.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you know, even like Spice House, I remember like that spot was jumping, and like when I got here and my y'all were, it was a good, they wrote Spice House, Spice House, you go there, the Who's Who's, the this to that, um,
- 6:55[SPEAKER_01]: But at the same time you talk about the failures right like there's a lot of people That you hear who had amazing brands That didn't do well I mean and they would do a well, but then COVID hit or something happened that kind of You know took the business out what like how lucrative is the restaurant business and How are you how are you surviving even you know, I mean?
- 7:25[SPEAKER_00]: Right now I'm just after you say COVID before COVID businesses don't pretty well, right?
- 7:29[SPEAKER_00]: But after COVID a lot of businesses actually shout up one of the reasons is because, of course, the money the money Play was happening everybody was getting paid.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so everybody was spending money any industry We all know everybody made a lot of money as we made after COVID.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, for sure The first round of industry that was going up But what's happening right now?
- 7:47[SPEAKER_00]: Just the economy just everything was happening.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_00]: It was shifting down You know your boyfriend and a building all the people talk about him because I don't want to get beat up
- 7:53[SPEAKER_00]: But there's a lot of stuff happening.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_00]: So businesses right now, restaurant business has always been tough in a hard man.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like we talked about it earlier.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_00]: If you make a $4 million in a restaurant industry, and you probably take a home to $300,000.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_00]: And that's if you were on the operating net, that's if you have all the systems in place.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: And you learn the business.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_00]: But if you don't know the business, it's tough, man.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't want to discourage anybody about the business.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: But you have to learn the systems.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_00]: You can't learn the systems and take off because you got a couple of restaurants that don't still don't pretty well.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_00]: But right now, economy is shifting.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_00]: But restaurant businesses is all about men.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_00]: Understanding your costs, understanding your expenses, and understanding how much it takes for you to run the operation business.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_00]: And that's going to be successful.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_00]: And also having a working capital in liquid, man.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of people, they build the most fancy restaurant.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: They come in, they put all the money to just establish man.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_00]: And sometimes they can't even open up because they don't know how long the health code
- 8:52[SPEAKER_00]: how long that the constructions are going to take so they have a certain budget to get involved in the business, but they don't have the financial understanding of what is going to take the actually open the restaurant.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_00]: Then is one portion opening a beautiful location.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_00]: The second part is by understanding how to run the operation.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_00]: So you got two different business.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_00]: You got built on the business and making the establishment to be something nice when you want to go in there.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_00]: You want to be able to hang out, bring your friends, their family, friends,
- 9:20[SPEAKER_00]: But then you had a second phase, which has actually run in the operation.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_00]: So that's what a lot of people don't understand.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what everybody's, you know, again, they're behind work right now, because the economy that the cost of price is different, you know, the lobster sales expensive, the lamb chops expensive.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_00]: So it's just about understanding, you know, the concept of knowing your business.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_00]: And it's really about business.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_00]: It's really understanding the business like the restaurant.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_00]: Now you could be a brand that got like, you got a good brand, right?
- 9:46[SPEAKER_00]: You go open up a restaurant they'll do well for a little while, but if you don't have people to understand the business side of the restaurant, they don't understand the cost, the labor, the material, the small cost of, you know, paper tissues that's forks napkins, that, you know, you're going, you won't lose, you know, you're pretty much going to survive, part of like, maybe first year, say 70% of the business is the restaurant owners, they fill the first year.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I don't know if you see right now, Instagram, a lot of businesses are selling, especially restaurant owner.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_00]: After pandemic, if I've seen a restaurant for sale, I'm grabbing it, right?
- 10:17[SPEAKER_00]: Because you know the money is going to be made.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_00]: But right now, you got like a lot of big establishment that was doing pretty well.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_00]: They made their money now.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_00]: Some of them made their money.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_00]: But it's not done well.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_00]: So it's really about understanding the business portion of the restaurant.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_00]: And then I think that's pretty tough.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_00]: And actually any business, I feel like that's how it is.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_00]: Especially brick and mortar.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_01]: How do you...
- 10:34[SPEAKER_01]: Because I think one of the things that was the food's excellent spice sounds, especially, you know, as a Haitian, you had the black rice, yeah, the black rice, yeah.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it was hidden.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, like the food was excellent, but I also feel like you're created like a vibe.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_01]: And it was the vibe that made people go,
- 11:00[SPEAKER_01]: Um, what is the like secret recipe for pot intended right for successful restaurant?
- 11:07[SPEAKER_00]: So for me, the original reason I want to open the restaurant was I used to go to Spark on Petit Street.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if you familiar with Petit Street.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_00]: It's a big place called Spin Spin Lounge and uh uh it was a pizza place where next door two five five in the chain name.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_00]: I used to go there every day as an entrepreneur and part
- 11:29[SPEAKER_00]: And by the time I leave, I was spent at least two to three hundred dollars a day.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_00]: So I did the math when they're sitting there like, yo, I'm spending thousands of dollars a month by meeting and greeting.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_00]: Because that's how much you've known, you know my side.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_00]: That's how an Atlanta culture is different.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you know, you don't want to meet in places.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_00]: It's a clue.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_00]: You want to go out there and smoke a hook or you just get a drink.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_00]: You want to say, well, have you want to do it?
- 11:50[SPEAKER_00]: That's what people like to have a meeting set.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_00]: So it's the same thing, you know, why people go to,
- 11:55[SPEAKER_00]: strip clubs and they're going to have millions over there like our people want to go to Hukus bar, we want to go sit on eating casserole.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_00]: So I spent so much money in that location and I'm like, you know what I do need just on a location.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_00]: And front of my CJ, I will consider my mentor for restaurant because he was the first one that actually talks to me about business and he he moved back to California.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_00]: They had a successful restaurant.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_00]: They ran that restaurant for almost 15 years.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_00]: So he should just tell me like, you know, you would do, you could see
- 12:24[SPEAKER_00]: Rush on industry you have to create a vibe.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_00]: So once I realized like I know everybody that'll come to me and my restaurant and they'll come sit down with me and we could put some vibes together have some you know beautiful wedges and good people great chefs and you know put their put the systems together to make sure that the business operate and we opened up spice styles that the food was amazing.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_00]: We had some of the best chefs that was in culinary uh
- 12:47[SPEAKER_00]: We're just like, looking to do a mission in restaurant at that time.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_00]: It was no mission in the restaurant in the land at all.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_00]: The chef is that great.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_00]: But that takes a lot of work.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_00]: Mission in the restaurant is not easy.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_00]: Like if I don't know if you got something to go, they're just opening up a few and in the land like two years ago.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_00]: So that was the original goal.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_00]: But when we opened up Spice, I was mid-town.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_00]: We wanted to create a vibe.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_00]: We wanted to create an atmosphere for what all the entrepreneurs could come in.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's like Starbucks.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you want to go to Starbucks and you know, drink coffee and have your meeting.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_00]: That's what we want to do, Spice on our mid-time, it's right there, central location, right by Atlantic Station.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_00]: Like I say, Maddie J and all the other sides of the river, Maddie J, that's what we created.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_00]: But we just wanted to have office vibes, slash entrepreneurs, meetups.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_00]: And even some of the guys that was doing their conferences in Atlanta.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I was like, I was reaching out.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_00]: I was networking.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_00]: I always was amazing with the hospitality.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_00]: You know, that's something that I was talented and gifted by God.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_00]: I wanted to make sure to care people.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_00]: So I was always reaching out to events going, you know, you come out to spice us.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_00]: We've been doing this, we've been doing that.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_00]: And that's how we kind of created the vibe.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_00]: So you definitely got to work.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_00]: I was owner-operated.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_00]: I was there.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't like I'm shooting out with text blasts and people going over there now.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_00]: It was just us creating the vibe so people would come get some great food, great customer service, and great ambiance.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_00]: And also make sure that we meet and greet.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_00]: That was another thing.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_00]: Spice, I was mid sound wasn't just the restaurant.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_00]: It was a hub to do meeting greet.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_00]: We started something called Spicy Tuesdays.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_00]: Me, Maddie, Jay, my boy, Jakobi.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't know, I don't know.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_01]: Spicy Tuesdays.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so, um, so this is what we do.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_00]: And we, Matt, we had about like a hundred million dollars in the building every time.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_00]: but we did that every Tuesday, and we just created a vibe and people just started coming there and that's kind of like, was by size.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_00]: And creative relationships, which I met, were short enough, or any of these are met, a couple of guys to see your circle.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_00]: I've connected a lot of guys over there too.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_00]: Cause like, safe.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_00]: Vanessa Park has, he hooked up with Aristotle, my homeboy, J.B. and I'm connected with CEO circles like it.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of me, you know, it was a great networking hub that we created, but it was part of the, you know, connecting and networking.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I'm always been a connecting relationship guy.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_01]: And so you talk about that, right?
- 14:55[SPEAKER_01]: Like, how did you become that, right?
- 15:00[SPEAKER_01]: Meaning like, you become that Atlanta because it almost sounds like the restaurant was a branch into who you were already, right?
- 15:10[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you're in Atlanta.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_01]: You know everybody you're moving to shake in, it's like, y'all, why don't you create your own space, right?
- 15:17[SPEAKER_01]: But like NNNNNN, did you get into the car brokering, prior to the restaurant?
- 15:25[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so I came in Atlanta, 2004, 2005.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_00]: I came, I caught a lot of situations in Jersey and from Jersey City, it's mainly, oh, you grew up in New York and everything else, but I came and I was trying to show my fellow new probation cell, Atlanta.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_00]: And at the time, when I came as a 19 year old kid, compared to these other guys that come to colleges, my mission was different.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_00]: I'm more extra, I can't do nothing.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_00]: I gotta do right.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_00]: I gotta get away from where I'm at my environment.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_00]: So I came to Atlanta in the first and last shop that I ever had in the night was Lenin's Mom Valley.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_00]: I worked there for four months.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_00]: And the only reason I wanted to work there was to meet everybody.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_00]: I was that guy.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_00]: I was a curious.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_00]: I was never shy.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_00]: I worked in a city in New York City.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_00]: I was selling candy at the age 13.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_00]: I've never
- 16:13[SPEAKER_00]: I've been a hustler, you know, sure.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_00]: My mom would go get it.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_00]: I'm always like fancy things, nice things.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, I wasn't blessed that parents that was rich so I had to get it on my own, you know, two options, so drugs, so candy, I started with candy, so the hustle was already born and from fast city, you know.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_00]: But Atlanta, when I came to Lennox Moore, I've met everyone and what they would the difference between me and every other ballet guy was, they was worried about tips and money.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_00]: I was worried about a con-second in business court.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_00]: So my journey started to start in a little state industry in 2005.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_00]: And I got into investment property.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't know nothing.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't have a real estate license.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a felon.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_00]: So I couldn't go even think about going to license.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_00]: But I got to meet a lot of good people.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_00]: And one thing I realized about Atlanta network was been like this.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_00]: People are open to give you opportunity.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_00]: People are open to give you a shot if you were bringing something to the table.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_00]: And I started my real estate journey in 2005, made about $1,000 in $2,000 and $67 already made enough money.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_00]: 2008 a recession happened.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_00]: So I'll make comfort being on felony probation made a million dollars you know, and just lost everything.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_00]: Because it was no coach no mentor.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_00]: It's no guidance.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_00]: It was just, come from nothing to something and blew everything that I had.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_01]: Build the brand, build the name cash, because I was cash every week.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_00]: Clubs, restaurants, anywhere, bottle sections was reserved, everything, wherever you are, so I build the brand by being outside that way.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_00]: But the network can kind of start it off from being from the next mall, the valley.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_00]: And one thing I realized, the value of the relationship always took me longer, because some days that I didn't have money, I had the relationship, I was able to get a wire for $50,000 for closing.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_00]: and paid in money back.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_00]: So I've learned relationship business early days.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_00]: That's where it started from.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_01]: That's what now in real estate, the recession happens.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_01]: You look, how do you bounce back?
- 18:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_00]: That was that was that.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_00]: So of course, for first few months, I'm, I mean, house depressed.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I thought that God gave me opportunity to move me a hundred million dollars up.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_00]: That was just, the, the, the, the, the, the rise of real estate was that it was like that.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_00]: It was just coming back to realize that you think about, I'm still young, some of the, I dropped out of college too, right at the first year, I dropped out, that's all I've done, really still.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_00]: So now I don't got to college degree.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_00]: I'm thinking about going back to college.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sitting there like, you know, what else can I make this type of money?
- 18:43[SPEAKER_00]: You can't, $150,000 a month, some clothes in $70,000, $50,000, it was just no money like that.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_00]: So, I'm,
- 18:51[SPEAKER_00]: I kind of sat back and kind of like started working back and figuring out what I'm going to do, but of course I got to go back to what I know was the quickest way to make money.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_00]: But so I really stayed.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_00]: It was cars.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_00]: I got into one of my friend.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_00]: I sent him some Mercedes-Benz a bucket.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_00]: And a guy with my homeboy worked over it.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, I got a check for you.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, I'm like, you send me my homeboy.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_00]: I got a check for you to fit you.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going for it.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_00]: Like I'm going to come pick it up.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_00]: So I go pick the check up and he's like, yo, um, start sending me more people.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, 50's not there.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_00]: I appreciate you.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_00]: But yo, he's just about 100,000 a plus car.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_00]: So what can I get?
- 19:27[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, well, you know what?
- 19:29[SPEAKER_00]: What do you want?
- 19:29[SPEAKER_00]: I sound like 3,000.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_00]: He's like,
- 19:32[SPEAKER_00]: He said, I only make 3,000, it's like, so who do I need to speak to to make this album on?
- 19:36[SPEAKER_00]: He said, what you can't do and he wasn't ahead of, he was my guy, so he'll talk to my GM.
- 19:41[SPEAKER_00]: And he knew my network of skills and he took my GM, he took GM, so he's like, yo, this guy, he knows people, he just starts to climb, they climb, they came in and bought the car, we just gave him 250,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000
- 19:56[SPEAKER_00]: He ain't gonna go for the 3000.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, man, I can't do it.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_00]: But I know the very next day one of my friends had a connect that Palmer dodging off a reddit.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_00]: He took me there and the owner just wrote cool guy of my friend, one of my girlfriend.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_00]: He told me that he'll pay me whatever I want.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_00]: As long as I can find a client that will buy vehicle,
- 20:20[SPEAKER_00]: that I can negotiate my deal with.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_00]: They could pay me some money.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_00]: And then the dealership will give me half of the money.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_00]: So my first deal that I sold, I think it was a Jeep that I sold.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_00]: And they gave me a $3,000 commission from first deal.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_00]: So of course it was a $50,000 real estate there.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_00]: But it was a good commission enough to see it.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_00]: If I'd be able to do five deals a week or five, there was a month.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not 15 ran a month.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_00]: So I started back as start a car broke when at that time in 2009.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_00]: and also started the hair industry.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_00]: I started, I went there, started the hair plug, I had a hair flowery.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the hair, the hair that she was, I was the first person in Atlanta to get involved heavy like the way I did and started selling hair.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_00]: I had a plug in India one by one.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_00]: My brother's I'd see, so he's one of his colleagues had a brother that had a factory that they had a connecting India for Indian Indian hair, which is a big big big billion dollar industry.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_00]: So I was kind of
- 21:13[SPEAKER_00]: It's like the pack on a pack all you know, I'm first out on the work on here And I've met a lot of good people from that suit a lot of a lot of a lot of women that's in the here industry right now That's that's big big big big heavy hit is they know they know who was dropping the pack on see
- 21:28[SPEAKER_01]: I see why they call you cash and I love what you said about relationships being the best type of currency because I don't think people realize that like you said like if you don't have money but have relationships there are people that could be able to help you with whatever direction
- 21:58[SPEAKER_01]: You know, real estate, exotic cars.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_01]: So now, what's your focus right now?
- 22:06[SPEAKER_01]: Like what's, you know, what you get into?
- 22:08[SPEAKER_00]: So one thing I am going to say is that that's been like my probably biggest issue in my life, and I met that.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_00]: I always have something working for myself that I'm making great money in but then I see opportunity I jump and then I take my hard work and money that I'm making.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, freely that I help work.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm taking that money and dumping is something that made me an hour.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_00]: So I've learned how to take business gamble
- 22:35[SPEAKER_00]: early days, but I am now working on what's working.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_00]: So double down was double down, chipper down because I make over six figures.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_00]: Some of us, I've done that.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_00]: I'm good at what I do cars alone.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_00]: I can make six figures and I'm doing it.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_00]: This is still me by myself.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_00]: Don't what I'm doing.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_00]: So the new goal is, of course, put a team together.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_00]: Teach people how to do the brokerage and put a squad together.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_00]: You know, 10 extra.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_01]: Sure.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_00]: And the relationships, you know, these delicious relationships that I have, you can't get them.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_00]: You're not me, Joe Rio Redz, to me, and tell him, you want $3,000 in a burdock.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't, you're not doing that.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_00]: You go, so, any of the surprises anybody, they're going to give you 2, 3, and a lot.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_00]: So, for me, without creating relationships, I will pretty much help individuals from different places and open them on the other side for sure.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_00]: I'm working on that issue.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_00]: So, hopefully, before I end the year, I'll be able to feed my sick ass, you know what I'm saying?
- 23:27[SPEAKER_00]: I'll be able to kick, create a bunch of people that don't want to work.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_00]: and they have a hustling skills, they have a good communication skills, and even people who already got a lot of networking skills like, someone like you, you might be like, you're a catch, I got somebody who want to get this lamb.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_00]: For sure, I got somebody who want to get a Honda.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yo, as soon as I'm to me, I'm gonna send you a fitting hand out of a forfe.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_00]: I just made 1500 or so.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_00]: That's the goal, kind of assist people for what I've done.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, triple down, just focused on cars, man, the restaurant's already in it.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm not losing, I'm not going to lose.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_00]: So hopefully, waiting for time to turn back around, create a system, it's definitely working with some people, that are good at their job, bringing in people that want to be on the operate it, maybe offer some percentage ownership as someone that wanted to do what I wanted to do with Spice House five years ago.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_00]: You know, maybe link with some people like that.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe a chef that's actually passionate about opening up a restaurant and have a brand.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_00]: So my goal is not to just take myself out of the equation and duplicate myself and maybe kind of work with people that I see as me that they have the same host or same vision, same skill and then want to learn.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_00]: Because I'm still learning.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_00]: I told y'all I'm like literally.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_00]: stripping myself down like I'm as a swamma down right now working on my communication skills working on my vocabulary because I got sound from you know I slang New York see you know as a reception like he had out of pipe that down and in the meantime just you know my son is there You know he's 11 years old at working on something with him so I wanted to teach him
- 24:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, better than that.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I want to stop being like I want him to be better than his dad.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_00]: So I just want to be able to work on myself, man, and then just help as much as people.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_00]: And it's been working because I'm working with less people, but the production as far as the results, they are better.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what I want to do.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_00]: I want to work more on setting up people and I want to be able to help anything you need.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_00]: If you help them, you need some help, can you credit together?
- 25:19[SPEAKER_00]: We got a full team.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_00]: If you need some funding, we got a full team.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_00]: If you need a business idea and start going jumping out there by yourself, we're going to...
- 25:26[SPEAKER_00]: You know, put you on someone that's already probably don't business.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_00]: So the goal is kind of lying people together relationships I want to utilize my relationships.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_00]: I got relationships for 20 years right now that I have a call Yeah, but I know if I call they're like yo, what do you need cash and it's happening?
- 25:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you understand it's happening Because that's what I've built for so long.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and and we're not talking about you me somebody to network in a van and you know
- 25:49[SPEAKER_00]: All right, you're my guy.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_00]: Got you.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_00]: We call them next day like, man, here you go, call them.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I talk about that.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_00]: We talk about real relationships that's been built, that I've built up to all ups and downs still, kept up, you know, and then like I said, I have a lot of business deals that went down in the past.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm not proud of you, but I'm also working on fixing some of them deals as well.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_00]: And I've always tried my best to work with this deal.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_00]: So I want to work with people that understand business is not going to be easy.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_00]: business is tough and I just want to be able to have people out of it's accountability that like I'm taking months right now, you know what I'm saying, fully accountable people.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_01]: Not love that because I think that that's one of the things that's missing is that there's so many people, especially online who are trying to portray themselves one way or portray business in one way and not showing a full picture.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_01]: What would you say is the contrast between running a brick and mortar every day business and running an online business is one better than the others, one more difficult than the other, like what's your thoughts on that?
- 26:49[SPEAKER_00]: 100% right now.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_00]: If I have a choice, anybody came to me right now.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_00]: If you told me like, cash, I want to start a restaurant.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_01]: I said, bro, we ought to sit on talk about this.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_00]: But if you say cash, let's open up a podcast where let's do something digital.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_00]: I'll be like, let's do it.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_00]: Brick and motor is just hard.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_00]: It's hard.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm not saying it's not working.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_00]: It's not going to work because you got some people that's doing credit.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_00]: It's guys named from Dave's chicken.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_00]: Dave's Dave's.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_00]: Dave's.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_00]: Dave's.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_00]: Dave's.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_00]: Dave's.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_00]: Dave's.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_00]: Dave's.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_00]: Dave's.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_00]: Dave's.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_00]: Dave's.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_00]: Dave's.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_00]: Dave's.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, see they don't they I want to I think I that would be it.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they they just skill they started from one location Yeah, they could you know Pinky slutty vegan like she started her brand so I'm not I'm not going to say brick and motors Not doable now hard because some businesses you have to have brick and motor, right?
- 27:31[SPEAKER_00]: All but I said instead of opening up a restaurant starter go space kitchen
- 27:35[SPEAKER_00]: Right, it's like with the food truck.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah start with it take out like you know carry our restaurant So I won't go straight to a full throttle restaurant like restaurant in the tree up for like a stuff Let's just see what the next you know Next phase of the economy that we've done and what is gonna happen and we change is gonna make but right now Just the economy is stretching man.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_00]: It's more restaurant Being so right now than he at the time like
- 27:55[SPEAKER_00]: and Atlanta is long.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_00]: Atlanta used to not find no restaurant.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_00]: You was looking.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_00]: People was ready.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_00]: You got to restaurant facility.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_00]: Right now you got to Atlanta.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_01]: Why do you think that's happening?
- 28:04[SPEAKER_01]: You think that, I mean, if feel like people are still coming to Atlanta, it's still feel like people are eating like what's the, like what's the, the downturn on people making more decisions to not go out or like what's happening.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to be honest with you.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_00]: One of the biggest reason about Atlanta is a copycat city.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_00]: Alana, someone will get, come to Spice House and take my menu and go and open up the same thing.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_00]: What they'll see there is that, that's what I need.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_00]: Like everywhere you go with Alamshops.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_00]: Alana's like a culture where people just go to places but they only go there for a little bit and then they just burn it down.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_00]: It's like a following sea like like they're go there for a little while.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_00]: But if you want to create a brand, if you want to create something different, you have to create a concept of a certain niche that works.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_00]: that's going to be your thing, you know, and if you're not focusing on that, you're going to be, you're going to pretty much lose a plus of the rationalism.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_00]: That's something he takes about two years before you start getting a money back.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_00]: You got to have a background.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_00]: For me, rationalism, honestly, I'm still sometimes paying for rationality on my pocket for what I'm making on the other side.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_00]: And if I didn't have that, then it'd be no rationality.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_00]: I'd probably be with a soul monster.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_00]: I just happen to be
- 29:14[SPEAKER_00]: think to the most high like I've afford it sometimes and then sometimes I'm like man I want to do with it.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_00]: That's just me being honest.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_00]: Well, so I don't want to tell anybody to describe it anybody because you know, but if you will owner operator, if you have a chef skill, if you have a management management skill, if you ran restaurants, yeah.
- 29:31[SPEAKER_00]: And I feel like if you want to start a dream, something, if you have the capital, if somebody has invested money, you just got to run it.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_00]: I do it.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_00]: If somebody bought me right now, say, y'all got a restaurant feeling bucket, and I want you to come help me to run it.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_00]: They make sure you put together.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_00]: I do it.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm not putting them on money.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_01]: So you cut off, it kind of feels like, right?
- 29:52[SPEAKER_01]: Like I said, call you cash.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_01]: Kind of feel like you are in a space where you don't, you're not chasing money, right?
- 30:01[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I feel like money is attracted to you, like, you know what?
- 30:06[SPEAKER_00]: Well, this economy's tough man, even like, a lot of rough last two years, I'm not gonna lie.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_00]: When I bought some real estate four years ago in Ohio, Cleveland, I bought two buildings, and now you're in the 12 unit.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_00]: And the reason I purchased those buildings, because the money was good, right?
- 30:19[SPEAKER_00]: For you to buy a liquid cash to $100, it's not a lot, but it's a lot of money.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_00]: Especially for that time, it wasn't a lot of money.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_00]: But right now, that turned into like $400,000, and that's this right now.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_01]: No, no.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_00]: But taxes still got to be paid and I wanted to start on those buildings.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_00]: If I have a choice now, I would definitely
- 30:38[SPEAKER_00]: go back to Willis State.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_00]: That's me.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_00]: And I won't do residential.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_00]: I will focus on commercial.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_01]: Like that's my thing for next five years.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to buy a build this.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm going to open my own business on my building.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to sell that business to somebody.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_00]: Like a building and Cleveland.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_00]: Or you got a plan for a piece of shop one side and another side.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_00]: I'm thinking about another maybe so long sweet shop of business.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_00]: So that's my building.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_00]: I want it.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to open those businesses.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to run it for a year.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_00]: Get my books up.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_00]: Go to SBA.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_00]: Send somebody.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_00]: Go get along.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_00]: Give me my money back.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sending you a business.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_00]: That's already working.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_00]: That's my new goal.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_01]: That's game I did all over Miss that.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_01]: He just gave you a solid blueprint.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_01]: by your building, if you have any restaurants, you don't own any of your own your business.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_01]: Majority.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_00]: I don't own my buildings.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_00]: So in that, in new place, by your commercial unit, there have two spaces downstairs.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_00]: If you want it, if you want to restaurant, put your restaurant down there because your mortgage is your mortgage if you have low mortgage, of course you have less mortgage.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_00]: Put another business like I said, so long sweet, PC shops, so long sweet, run it for a year, get the books up, get somebody to do it to SBA, let them put 10% down, you cash in out for your business year for a year, and they get the business, you still the landlord, you still collect the money.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I'm gonna do.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_00]: That's my goal.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm still gonna do it, I'm doing it, but there's no more tone money for no rent.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_00]: There's no more just using a waste of money if you're not doing that.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_00]: I'm getting a little bit to a next level.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's time for legacy, like you said, you got to a certain.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, you know what I'm saying?
- 32:16[SPEAKER_01]: How was it mentally, right?
- 32:18[SPEAKER_01]: Cause you mentioned, you know, got us to some trouble back in Jersey, you know, to run up your first million dollars, like what type of,
- 32:28[SPEAKER_01]: like how do that feel for you?
- 32:30[SPEAKER_00]: I promise you that the craziest part of my death feeling it was just being high on some drugs that you never gonna come down for until you broke
- 32:42[SPEAKER_00]: I felt, I've done a lot around that song.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_00]: I've done things that I've never done, like I've never traveled out the country before there.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_00]: And I've never, I've never, I've never, I've never stayed from Atlanta.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_00]: I went to every, we started to be a man.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_00]: I was everywhere would be a man.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_00]: If we was everywhere, everywhere, everything, everything city that they talked about, it was there.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_00]: I was a young, I couldn't even get close, but I was going to close with that money.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_00]: So I was everywhere.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_00]: I'm talking about every city, every state, went to Dubai in 2007, it wasn't even all this stuff.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_00]: I went to Dubai then, went to London, went to every island, you know, I was everywhere.
- 33:18[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I'm saying?
- 33:19[SPEAKER_00]: Anything I wanted I had, I've died.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_00]: It's just like pandemic money.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_00]: You know, some of the guys that got their pandemic money, these first rush, and then you see them everywhere, and they had everything, every car.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_00]: It's the same rush, you know what I'm saying?
- 33:30[SPEAKER_00]: But they come down for it.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_00]: The hard crash.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_00]: The crash crash and some people, I'm in 2009, 2008, a lot of people commit suicide.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_00]: People was killing me, so because people that was in real estate they had so much money, some people came down back from that.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_00]: Luckily, I wasn't in that state of my God, and mental health was real.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_00]: So I said, that's the thing.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_00]: That's why sometimes you can't praise money.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_00]: You've got to really learn what you're coming from.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_00]: So luckily for me, I had to think about man, I just ain't nothing couple of years ago, I was on a felony prevention of how I appreciate it.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_00]: I appreciate it again that money early age, because I would have been up 100 million and I lost everything and now Right, right.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, no.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna be a cease.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_00]: Imagine me's in 100.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_01]: I can't.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_01]: I can't.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_00]: I knew people would have had.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_00]: They was up 15, 20 million in the last thing.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_00]: So from coming from nothing to losing everything?
- 34:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_00]: And then having opportunity to start back all over was my blessing.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_00]: That was round two.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_00]: Round two was after 2009.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_00]: Round three was after pandemic.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_01]: Man, how do you, and I, and I, and I, and I'm, I guess like you said, you can't work your mind.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_01]: I guess it's a connection.
- 34:43[SPEAKER_01]: to God, to be honest with you, because it's funny, because I was watching some Muslim brothers talk about the beauty of Islam, right?
- 34:51[SPEAKER_01]: And I truly believe, like, I'm not one of those people that divide, right?
- 34:57[SPEAKER_01]: Because like, like, majority of my family is still Christian.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_01]: I grew up Christian, so I just believe, whatever, I think, I mean, even the Quran tells you,
- 35:07[SPEAKER_01]: that God calls, like God didn't call everybody with Muslim.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_01]: No, God call people to be Muslim, God call people to be Christian, God call people to be Jewish, like like God is calling you to be different.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, trial, Quran, Bible, yes.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_01]: Right, right.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_01]: So, so even, I think that's a big misconception when you tell somebody, you Muslim, they think, oh, well, you don't like Christians or you don't like Jewish people, whatever, but,
- 35:32[SPEAKER_01]: The story, the gentleman was talking about how in Islam, the beauty of it is that it keeps you grounded, right?
- 35:41[SPEAKER_01]: Like when you think about the different rules and things that come with, you know, with the religion, it's not to control you because if you don't have rules, then your life is gonna go up and down and some people can't survive the crash.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_00]: So, me, I grew up, wasn't, right?
- 36:03[SPEAKER_00]: Just like I'm teaching my son out of the, you know, teaching my slam early age.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_00]: Confirm a very balanced family, you know, nine of ours, my sister's a doctor, my brother's IT.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_00]: I'm the only college dropout.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_00]: I'm the one that, you know, I'm the other side for sure.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_00]: That was true.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_00]: And also grew up in an environment that I grew up in.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm the one that I've had a felony.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_00]: One thing I learned about as slam was,
- 36:28[SPEAKER_00]: It was already rooted in me, but as I always was getting older, the first song that I ever got in trouble with the thing I got in trouble for, I was thinking at that moment when I was doing what I was in supposed to be doing, that is now right.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_00]: And I got caught for the first song I've done something like that, I got caught right after that.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_00]: Wow, because it's lamb, because of the conscious over me.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_00]: No one was wrong.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_00]: Right, right, right, right.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_00]: It's like going to store you trying to take some candy or something like when you yell, you know they
- 36:53[SPEAKER_00]: What you do, but you don't feel good about it, that's your conscience.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_00]: So I felt like Islam always had, gave me balance to know, like, you know, things, like, I say, we're not perfect, you know, perfect, because even in Islam says, we make mistakes throughout the combat to the most high, that's what forgiveness and try to not do the same thing over and over.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_00]: You can't be a person, that's like, I'm a rod today, go ask forgiveness, I'm good, I'm a good, I'm a good factor, you can't do that.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_00]: We're not, we're not, we that's not what we happen, but it definitely balances me out
- 37:22[SPEAKER_00]: And now even now, I'm also going back to more to Islam or even run down right on going back to more basic principles.
- 37:29[SPEAKER_00]: Things that I know I grew up in learning but I want to go back more detail.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I'm saying to see every day.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_00]: I'm also doing a little 30 day.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_00]: A message dropping message.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_00]: I'm dropping a message.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_00]: I'm dropping a message.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_00]: It's the kind of story.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_00]: And I've seen more followers.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_00]: People like you.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_00]: I wanted to run with that with you.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_00]: So it's a positive message, right?
- 37:45[SPEAKER_00]: And I think we're missing that a lot of time.
- 37:49[SPEAKER_00]: people are scared of positivity.
- 37:51[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 37:51[SPEAKER_00]: They run away from it.
- 37:52[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I'm saying?
- 37:53[SPEAKER_00]: That's so about money.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, well, let's go talk about money.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_00]: We start talking about religion.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_00]: We start talking about some positivity.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_00]: Like, man, I don't know.
- 37:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 37:59[SPEAKER_00]: But they start thinking, it's the end of self.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_00]: You're self-start questioning you because you know, you gotta start looking at yourself.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that's what Islam is doing for me right now.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_00]: And I said, I can't speak for anybody.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, sure.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_01]: For sure.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_00]: It's me.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's shown me.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_00]: I have to go back
- 38:16[SPEAKER_00]: That's going to make me feel better about what I'm gaining.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_00]: And as I started working on it for the last two years, because I'd say it was rough, you know, financially, it was crazy.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_00]: I probably could have lost everything, including those properties, including every business that I've opened up.
- 38:31[SPEAKER_00]: I lost a lot of stuff.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_00]: I lost a lot of money.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_00]: I did a lot of money.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_00]: But that's because I can say everybody lost a lot.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_00]: But one thing I realized is as I started focusing on me and started working on myself and started working on my intentions.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_01]: That's bad.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, attention.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_00]: When you're intensely pure, a lot of things that you don't, the results are going to be better.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_00]: One person was, you know, because when you have Melissa's thought and you have things that you want to do to just try to take advantage.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_00]: Because like I said, you all go book, man, when you go broke, this is when you're attention.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_00]: It's really your character shows one thousand.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_00]: Let's say the show.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_00]: But they say on a rap game, like, if I ever go broke, I'm gonna take your money, it's just that.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_00]: That's the, that's the, that's the port, then you get to really see your character and you strip down.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_00]: Once I realized, that's what God was testing me.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_00]: When I said round three, round one was real estate, 2006 to 2008, round one, round two was when I lost everything and started all over the hair cars.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_00]: Round three is after pandemic.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_00]: Because even after the pandemic, I made a lot of money, but I also was like, okay, I know something's going to happen near future.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_00]: So let me try to park some of my money.
- 39:40[SPEAKER_00]: And I got like two other restaurants.
- 39:41[SPEAKER_00]: I never even got to open up.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_00]: I was going in.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_00]: I was still now the difference before.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_00]: First time having money to this, I was like, when I have liquid, I'm buying something.
- 39:51[SPEAKER_00]: That's it.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to let it sit.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_00]: And the story about the real estate was shot at the motherboard beyond on the game as props.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_00]: He had posted a building.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_01]: I was supposed to be, yeah, yeah.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_00]: He posted that building.
- 40:03[SPEAKER_00]: That building right before that building, I was going to Avianchi, Jule on New York.
- 40:08[SPEAKER_00]: He added, I built a chain for a little niche.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_00]: It was a hundred thousand dollar chain, my boy showed it to me and I had the money, you know, I got to buy some crazy.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_00]: And I was sending them the wire like two to three days, what's our scene of chain?
- 40:21[SPEAKER_00]: And I seen a building and I said instead of buying that chain, he was selling the building.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_00]: I think he had a starter for 130, but I called him and talked him down to like, I think, 100 or something like that and he ended up taking it.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_00]: I send them the Zell for 5,000 or I think cash out for five grand for the deposit right then and then there to buy that building.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_00]: And I was one of the best moves that I made.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_00]: So I invested my money.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I'm saying?
- 40:42[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't go buy a bunch of jewelry because everybody that bought jewelry.
- 40:45[SPEAKER_00]: I know my man bought like a main dollar worth of jewelry.
- 40:47[SPEAKER_00]: He can't do me not too long with like y'all I'm selling this 70,000 dollar watch.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want it.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want it.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_00]: You can't do nothing.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_00]: So the investment part came.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_00]: You know, just taking a money parking to the right direction.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not I'm not I'm not a shame.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe investment.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_00]: I'm made because I still tried at the end of the take 10 15 years.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_00]: Some people to get to that step.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm not losing nothing about trying and of course I learned and I want I'm not going to make we just talked about I'm not going to go back to the same direction.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to
- 41:12[SPEAKER_00]: Like I said, you can't get me to farm your location right now, like, yo, let's come to the restaurant.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not doing it, right?
- 41:17[SPEAKER_00]: With all due respect, I'm not, I'm not that smart.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not taking my money to do that.
- 41:22[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't see my liquid million back right now.
- 41:24[SPEAKER_01]: Right, right.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_00]: I need the liquid million, you know what I say?
- 41:26[SPEAKER_00]: So I could feel comfortable.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_01]: And I get, I got love your transparency, because I think that that's one other thing that's missing, especially when people see business,
- 41:43[SPEAKER_01]: They kind of just think man it like you're always up when it's ups and downs It's abs and flows.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna give you an example on this one and I think this is what everybody needs to do right Somebody makes $10,000 a month Take it say $4,000 a month every month and they'll be up at 48,000 a year.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, somebody make a $100,000 a month And some months they make an 80,000 some of them make a 70,000
- 42:11[SPEAKER_00]: Some of their negative to pay their bills, because the type of expenses that this all comes with.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, right for this restaurant, $6,000, this restaurant is not open yet, $6,000.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_00]: This investment still got to be paid.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_00]: This bill got to still be paid.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_00]: This is bill you covering because something went wrong and still covering that.
- 42:31[SPEAKER_00]: It's expenses that you don't see for someone that's making that type of money.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_00]: Now, if you could make a hundred grand a spill, spend six thousand a month, you're living.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_00]: I want to be like that.
- 42:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 42:42[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, now I'm using more money, more expenses, man.
- 42:44[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I'm saying?
- 42:45[SPEAKER_01]: It's funny because I am...
- 42:47[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna show this example, right?
- 42:50[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I don't know if it's gonna show my score, right?
- 42:52[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm gonna just show this real quick.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_01]: So I think business is like playing a game, right?
- 42:58[SPEAKER_01]: So this is solitaire.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_01]: I play solitaire, any moment I have or whatever.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_01]: And I just, I enjoy playing it.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_01]: When I first started playing the game, there's the levels that you can get to, right?
- 43:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 43:13[SPEAKER_01]: When I first started getting to playing the game, my goal was to be at the highest level.
- 43:18[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I'm saying?
- 43:18[SPEAKER_01]: Of course.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_01]: So I would play it constantly, no sleep.
- 43:22[SPEAKER_01]: I'm grinding.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I'm saying?
- 43:23[SPEAKER_01]: Trying to get to the highest level.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_01]: So if you look right here, like that's me, I'm at the top.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I don't want to deny that.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_00]: I see.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, if you know, you know, so I'm at that top, but the problem with the top though is that I can't never stop playing.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_00]: You got to keep playing.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_00]: I got to keep playing.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_00]: I got to keep playing.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_00]: I got to keep playing.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_01]: Because what happens is the guy who's number two, he's keep playing.
- 43:46[SPEAKER_01]: My heart ain't behind me.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_01]: He wasn't a fetus of, so now he's in the position and I used to be in, because he wants to be the number one spot.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_01]: If it's up, as you'll for me,
- 43:56[SPEAKER_01]: It's actually more exhausting.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, guess what?
- 44:00[SPEAKER_01]: When I wasn't the number one, I played one of our felt-like plans.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_01]: Now that's the number one spot.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_00]: That's a good example.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_01]: Even when I don't feel like playing, I got to play.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_01]: Because the guy behind me, he got it.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_01]: He's coming for that number one spot.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_00]: Number one spot, man.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, it's crazy.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_00]: The goal was run restaurant.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_00]: I have a four restaurant.
- 44:19[SPEAKER_00]: The same restaurant, man.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want none of that.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_00]: It's good on this.
- 44:22[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes he gets tired.
- 44:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, if I can.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I'm saying?
- 44:24[SPEAKER_00]: And then it's better to know your limit.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_00]: Cause you can't keep pushing it.
- 44:28[SPEAKER_00]: I've buried one of my guy, man.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_00]: The one I actually pulled me on candies when I was young.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_00]: Pull me hard to show me how to sell candies.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_00]: He, I, with December, I went over there a man who got so much respect to Houston.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, Texas, he moved out there years ago and the man could keep up no more life, man.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_00]: And then he had a hotel out there, just was in the gambling.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_00]: You know, just don't what he'd do.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and couldn't bear it, man.
- 44:55[SPEAKER_00]: And then take himself out.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I'm saying so.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_00]: Number one spot is cool man, but some time man, I don't want spiders, the family man, that's the fact, yeah.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_00]: Another number one spot is just taking care of yours and be happy with you guys.
- 45:10[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not watching your success to say I got to be more money, man.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I'm saying?
- 45:14[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have it, like I don't have cars.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, man, I got three cars.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not driving all three of them, right?
- 45:18[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I'm saying?
- 45:19[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have two condos.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not having two condos at the same time.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't did all that.
- 45:22[SPEAKER_00]: I got four Russian.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_00]: I can't be in the full places at the same time.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_00]: So the goal right now and I think that's what's happening with the economy so we just shift in everybody My friend.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you can have these conversations where we haven't today a couple of years ago Like man, he's trippin.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, it's money everywhere.
- 45:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah This you can start this sell of courses, of course.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_00]: I saw that.
- 45:40[SPEAKER_00]: All right, all right, bye
- 45:41[SPEAKER_00]: even selling the course, right?
- 45:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 45:42[SPEAKER_00]: I remember I was talking to Maddie.
- 45:44[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, you're just made $10,000.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_00]: Of course, $1,000.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_00]: And it's hard to sell $1,000.
- 45:49[SPEAKER_00]: Of course, right now.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_00]: And no matter how and what it is, it's kind of a little bit harder.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_00]: It's just, people is not buying.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_00]: So we just got to be out of the years, man.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_00]: Just people, money is tight.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_00]: And then the economy is the way it is.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_00]: Even when the economy shifts, there's something I feel like I'm going to be better.
- 46:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, this is literally the first time that I'm gonna get better in my spin.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_00]: So the goal for me is not to make the money No more is about safe and expenses that I had Limiting my expenses that always been my hardest part because I'm gonna make the money.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna get up and grind Right, like you said money gonna come me.
- 46:17[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna get up.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know when money's gonna come right
- 46:19[SPEAKER_00]: He would this car stuff, this is the grind.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_00]: Somebody got sent over for somebody to come by, of course, somebody got sent a client that's trying to get for a rental company.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_00]: It's the house was the grind.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_00]: It's the same way until you stop building operations and systems.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_00]: So that's when I'm pivoting for myself to, I don't wanna work.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna let anybody else work with me.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_01]: The jerk, the jerk, the jerk.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_01]: And I think one of the beautiful things I mean, you talked about the education space, like courses and things of that nature, like I even think when you think about AI,
- 46:48[SPEAKER_01]: I think nine times I said people don't want to pay for courses anymore because the information is there.
- 46:53[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I'm saying?
- 46:54[SPEAKER_01]: So people are not paying for information now.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_01]: I think what they do want is.
- 46:59[SPEAKER_00]: They want a transformation.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_01]: Transformation.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_00]: They want execution.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_00]: They want someone to get there.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_00]: I like so speaking on that.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_00]: Of course, man.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_00]: Shout out to my board Justin.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 47:09[SPEAKER_00]: I'm talking crap.
- 47:10[SPEAKER_00]: But I'll pay my God.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_00]: Get them out of money.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_00]: Shoot this course.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_00]: Of course.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_00]: It's amazing.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't sell it because I wasn't ready but I shot it.
- 47:20[SPEAKER_00]: I loved the cause if I sold that people were bought it Yeah, but I wasn't ready because I just felt like I was cheating myself And I'm seeing the people because I didn't want it.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_00]: Would you go do it in a row?
- 47:27[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a definitely put it out.
- 47:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm a puter because I'm also a give more reality plus I think it's more systems involved Yeah, right and I'm gonna put it out for free.
- 47:34[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna be out.
- 47:35[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna put it on YouTube.
- 47:36[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna give it
- 47:37[SPEAKER_01]: And I know you need to do, we don't want this play, right?
- 47:41[SPEAKER_01]: What you need to do, and then this is just me off the top of my head, just go, Chacha, right?
- 47:45[SPEAKER_01]: What I would do is, how about to tell you how I'm gonna speak?
- 47:49[SPEAKER_01]: But you've been a lot for that for the course, right?
- 47:51[SPEAKER_01]: As soon as the Justin, y'all know Justin, he was on Justin Burns, he was on the, he was on inside the vault, he has a great episode that a lot of y'all love.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_01]: Go check out that episode.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_01]: Go check out that episode.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's like 100,000 views right now at the time of this recording.
- 48:06[SPEAKER_01]: But what I would do is I will open up a school community.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, it's like I like I just I just signed up.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, perfect.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_01]: So do what I do.
- 48:13[SPEAKER_01]: I will open up a school community.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_01]: I will create three three tiers in school.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_01]: I will create a free tier.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_01]: I will create a second tier where people pay pay for stuff and I will create like a third tier.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_01]: Where people pay, right?
- 48:29[SPEAKER_01]: So it's like entry level, you know, maybe a VIP and then another level.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_01]: And then I will put the course in that free trip to you.
- 48:40[SPEAKER_01]: So now tell everybody, hey, come get this course, build the community, right?
- 48:45[SPEAKER_01]: And then now offer something, right?
- 48:48[SPEAKER_01]: So maybe it's weekly coaching with cash.
- 48:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, monthly coaching with cash, right?
- 48:54[SPEAKER_01]: In the next tier, when now you've built a residual income,
- 48:59[SPEAKER_01]: But I don't have to be crazy $20, $30 a month, whatever, that people get to learn business lessons from you, especially because, like, you're super tapped in, you know everybody.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_01]: You can now start getting people, you know, it's just coming.
- 49:15[SPEAKER_01]: And now that's that portion of it.
- 49:17[SPEAKER_01]: And then they're going to be people.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_01]: who want to work with you one on one.
- 49:23[SPEAKER_01]: And then that next level wouldn't be the one on one, but the next level will probably be quarterly mastermind.
- 49:30[SPEAKER_01]: That's right.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_01]: So now, if you pay, you know, you know, either 5,000 a year or 500 a month, you get access to folks, masterminds, you know, once a quarter, we all meet at one of my rest of months, we have great, great, you know what I'm saying?
- 49:47[SPEAKER_00]: That's right, um, I like that.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I like that.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I was saying.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_00]: That's the easiest.
- 49:51[SPEAKER_00]: Give you free camp.
- 49:52[SPEAKER_00]: I would run the definitely running out play.
- 49:53[SPEAKER_00]: I would run.
- 49:54[SPEAKER_00]: I was definitely, um, and, and, and, and, and, and, and the thing you said was, I always wanted to make sure everything that I do, I do it.
- 50:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, first.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, for sure.
- 50:07[SPEAKER_00]: My education comes from my teaching and my learning on mistakes.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 50:12[SPEAKER_00]: So this restaurant, yeah.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_00]: four years ago.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_01]: For sure.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_00]: No way, nay that I do know now.
- 50:17[SPEAKER_00]: For sure.
- 50:18[SPEAKER_00]: What to and not to, either from at the time I was a great marketing person.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_00]: I was a person that people was coming and comes to the restaurant for and I know how to bring crowd.
- 50:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 50:28[SPEAKER_00]: But now I go inside the kitchen.
- 50:30[SPEAKER_00]: I go order food.
- 50:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 50:31[SPEAKER_00]: I go to the inventory, I know how much labor do I need to have in the kitchen, I know how much labor do I need to have in front of the house, back of the house, you know what I'm saying, I know how much percentage the money needs to be for me to make profit because a lot of people don't even know, it's called price per plate.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_00]: Each plate have a price in each ingredients have a cost.
- 50:51[SPEAKER_00]: So ask a restaurant or ask anybody.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_00]: Do you know what the price per plate?
- 50:54[SPEAKER_00]: They are going to be a bit of selling that.
- 50:56[SPEAKER_00]: That's how bad it is in the business.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_00]: It's just now filled much better.
- 51:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_00]: And I do have a crazy team.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_00]: Not working.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_00]: Make you say, I got all the playmakers coming in.
- 51:06[SPEAKER_00]: Sure.
- 51:06[SPEAKER_00]: I got everybody number.
- 51:07[SPEAKER_00]: I just said Jacobia, but he wasn't lying.
- 51:09[SPEAKER_00]: I say, like, I said, we're about to run it back.
- 51:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 51:12[SPEAKER_00]: Spicy talk to us is coming back.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_00]: I was going to lie to come back.
- 51:15[SPEAKER_00]: So we're going to never.
- 51:16[SPEAKER_00]: We pointed together when it's got a little bit breaking the weather.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_00]: But we got some amazing comfort for sure.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_01]: And imagine that the right now spicy talk Tuesday.
- 51:23[SPEAKER_01]: When they come in, that becomes
- 51:27[SPEAKER_01]: a pipeline into your community, coming in right in for community.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm saying, let's go, I love you.
- 51:31[SPEAKER_00]: Gotta like it, I like that.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_00]: Ask guys and get a couple of free place today, so I'll appreciate you.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, it's a, you know what I mean?
- 51:36[SPEAKER_01]: I want for my brother, I want for myself now.
- 51:38[SPEAKER_01]: I'm saying so, what's your law?
- 51:41[SPEAKER_01]: It's, so, and so, what did things, I do want to talk about, too, is risk.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, you know.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_01]: I believe that a lot of smart and intelligent people,
- 51:56[SPEAKER_01]: don't maximize their full potential because they're not willing to take risk.
- 52:02[SPEAKER_01]: How do you balance, right?
- 52:04[SPEAKER_01]: You as somebody, like you said, you have a lot of failures, but a lot of success.
- 52:08[SPEAKER_01]: How do you balance it out, though, so that you don't become one of those people who risk it all and can't and can't get it right, but yeah, um, I feel like
- 52:23[SPEAKER_00]: The hardest thing about risk is to know what you could take, what you could get hit like, if I have a $100,000 right now, right?
- 52:32[SPEAKER_00]: This is my suggestions to anybody that I wanna start an entrepreneurship.
- 52:36[SPEAKER_00]: If I saved up a 100 grand in a year, right?
- 52:40[SPEAKER_00]: And I worked hard for that year.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not taking 100,000 out of the star or something to follow in a year.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah.
- 52:47[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna take 30%
- 52:50[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe if I'm really good at that risk and I'm going to actually work that magic and I'm going to be the owner operator I'm going to be the one that's running the plate.
- 52:57[SPEAKER_00]: I made say 50% of that money But anything over if I got a hundred grand and I got to put up a hundred actually if I got a hundred grand and I got to put up 200 But don't do it.
- 53:06[SPEAKER_01]: I've done it.
- 53:07[SPEAKER_00]: I've done it.
- 53:08[SPEAKER_00]: I've done it.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no
- 53:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he was you feel good about that.
- 53:12[SPEAKER_01]: I don't care know it.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_01]: What if it's like once in a like like yours This is once in a lifetime.
- 53:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I want to write it real estate.
- 53:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, if it's not a collateral You have a title if you not it like me.
- 53:22[SPEAKER_00]: I took a risk that's 200 thousand dollars when I'm out of my bank account
- 53:26[SPEAKER_00]: But I got two D's got you.
- 53:28[SPEAKER_00]: The properties were $450,000 a thousand as this.
- 53:30[SPEAKER_00]: I ain't touched them.
- 53:31[SPEAKER_00]: Got you.
- 53:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 53:32[SPEAKER_00]: They probably got Bandos, probably Jason there, right?
- 53:35[SPEAKER_00]: I got a kick out.
- 53:35[SPEAKER_00]: Another Star Working.
- 53:37[SPEAKER_00]: But I know I'm fixed the properties and they're going to go to a million dollars.
- 53:41[SPEAKER_00]: Easy.
- 53:41[SPEAKER_00]: So that type of risk.
- 53:43[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 53:43[SPEAKER_00]: If it's not something, if I got opportunity to buy a company, that's already operating.
- 53:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
- 53:48[SPEAKER_00]: And that's already making money.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_00]: If it's not already an operational company that's already generating income, then
- 53:56[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 53:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's starting.
- 53:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 53:58[SPEAKER_00]: Man, listen.
- 53:59[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna build this myself.
- 54:00[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a carpenter.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_00]: I'm the earth construction.
- 54:03[SPEAKER_00]: He's not right.
- 54:04[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 54:04[SPEAKER_00]: Gala with them permission, city and
- 54:07[SPEAKER_00]: the hold up that you're going to go to because you don't did something wrong.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_00]: It's just so many things, man.
- 54:12[SPEAKER_00]: Come in.
- 54:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 54:13[SPEAKER_00]: Learn how to take it.
- 54:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 54:14[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I like that though, too, because it's like, you're like, yeah, it's take risk, but make sure it's calculated risk.
- 54:19[SPEAKER_00]: Kind of be how it comes.
- 54:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 54:21[SPEAKER_01]: And then also, like, you had a way to risk out there.
- 54:24[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you said, like, you know, me investing in real estate.
- 54:29[SPEAKER_01]: It's not the two of them has not really a risk because even if the property value goes down, I still own this property.
- 54:35[SPEAKER_01]: This is mine.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_00]: Like there's a little man.
- 54:37[SPEAKER_00]: Get it?
- 54:37[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I'm saying?
- 54:39[SPEAKER_00]: Or you just sell it or pull out some money.
- 54:41[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 54:41[SPEAKER_01]: Or you could fix it and you could you could create cash cash.
- 54:45[SPEAKER_00]: It's a little coming in.
- 54:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 54:46[SPEAKER_00]: And I can't.
- 54:47[SPEAKER_00]: I'm excited.
- 54:47[SPEAKER_00]: That project really.
- 54:48[SPEAKER_00]: I'm more this year.
- 54:49[SPEAKER_00]: That's like my play.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna work on those buildings.
- 54:51[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna get them running this shit for sure.
- 54:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 54:55[SPEAKER_01]: What is the legacy of Salim Khan?
- 54:57[SPEAKER_01]: What is the legacy of cash?
- 55:02[SPEAKER_00]: Brett, um, just to put a high impact, man, because I think I was, I've always made the money for somehow money can to me.
- 55:10[SPEAKER_00]: I was never thirsty, never was like, yo, I got to move for this dollar.
- 55:15[SPEAKER_00]: Always was like, yo, what can I do to help?
- 55:17[SPEAKER_00]: I've helped a lot of business people.
- 55:19[SPEAKER_00]: I've met people without internet, if so many people that have started business through me, with me, maybe started the business because of me, of that, like they could call me.
- 55:28[SPEAKER_00]: One of my boy shot at 10 real, he's a cleaning Ohio.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_00]: He had got out of jail like 2,000 and 13 man, he opened up a coffee shop, he had a seafood spot.
- 55:37[SPEAKER_00]: Now he's looking for another spot.
- 55:39[SPEAKER_00]: Like is his him coming down here in 2014 and just see me what I'll do.
- 55:41[SPEAKER_00]: Met him the first time here, do somebody else and we just had a conversation last week on face on for hours.
- 55:43[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, oh, he's like, oh, he's like, oh, he's like, oh, he's like, oh, he's like, oh, he's like, oh, he's like, oh, he's like, oh, he's like, oh, he's like, oh, he's like, oh, he's like, oh, he's like, oh, he's like, oh, he's like, oh, he's like, oh, he's like, oh, he's like, oh, he's like, oh, he's like, oh, he's like,
- 55:51[SPEAKER_01]: He's in Cleveland, oil.
- 55:52[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, yeah, I got to go.
- 55:53[SPEAKER_01]: We got, we got, he's out like a candidate.
- 55:55[SPEAKER_01]: So we got a show called Crime Pays.
- 55:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yo, will we get a view from the incarcerated men and women?
- 56:00[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
- 56:01[SPEAKER_00]: He's dope.
- 56:01[SPEAKER_00]: Amazing person, man.
- 56:02[SPEAKER_00]: Dude, been just, just like I said, amazing guys.
- 56:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 56:05[SPEAKER_00]: You're like, I said, people like that, I've always, that you know, I'm a product of my environment, man.
- 56:09[SPEAKER_00]: Like I said, I have a lot of friends that they can't be on in that.
- 56:12[SPEAKER_01]: If you don't, for sure.
- 56:13[SPEAKER_00]: The life style is different.
- 56:15[SPEAKER_00]: I always work with people that people can't work with.
- 56:19[SPEAKER_00]: So when I learned that I could work with difficult people, it's easy to work with easy people.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_00]: But move her forward.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_00]: I want to work with people that really want to work for sure.
- 56:28[SPEAKER_00]: You know, so I got a kid that just came in from Youngstown, Ohio, man.
- 56:30[SPEAKER_00]: 20 years old, I'm mother dropped that video today.
- 56:32[SPEAKER_00]: He came and bought four cars, man.

- 56:50[SPEAKER_01]: We're he's doing with the cars.
- 56:51[SPEAKER_00]: He's right in the mud.
- 56:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, young side of our small side.

- 58:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 58:37[SPEAKER_00]: Ask anybody else.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_00]: My hardest part for me from my business has always been my foundation.
- 58:41[SPEAKER_00]: It basically can infrastructure.
- 58:42[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 58:43[SPEAKER_00]: And I could build that right now.
- 58:44[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 58:45[SPEAKER_00]: The easiest thing to me is go closer 400,000 miles a deal.
- 58:48[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 58:48[SPEAKER_00]: And that's hard for people.
- 58:49[SPEAKER_00]: Like, oh, yeah, you can't.
- 58:51[SPEAKER_00]: You're closing.
- 58:51[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna close it.

- 59:01[SPEAKER_00]: Right, sir.
- 59:02[SPEAKER_00]: Easy.
- 59:02[SPEAKER_01]: I'm paying that.
- 59:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 59:03[SPEAKER_00]: But I promise you, I'm giving you at the end of Ramadan, I'm dropping something, just transformation on myself for just the assistance that I have with the people with the technology that I'm utilizing.
- 59:14[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, you know, take Cargler to risk, and take care of family.
- 59:18[SPEAKER_01]: For sure, my family is the foremost.
- 59:20[SPEAKER_01]: For God, family, courage.
- 59:23[SPEAKER_00]: So God's your family and community.
- 59:26[SPEAKER_00]: Like I said, man, go make up with some of your people, man, some of your good people.
- 59:28[SPEAKER_00]: Some of them bad ones let them go, but some of the good one, man, go apologize.
- 59:31[SPEAKER_00]: That's true.
- 59:32[SPEAKER_00]: And tell them you love a man, and I appreciate you and I appreciate you first.
- 59:35[SPEAKER_00]: So this is one of my first, and this is, this is not a hard man.
- 59:39[SPEAKER_00]: This is like, I ain't got no, no, so they go through it.
- 59:42[SPEAKER_00]: I guess this is, this is the general entry.
- 59:44[SPEAKER_00]: And I appreciate you, just like I said, watching you and I love what you don't, you know, sense.
- 59:48[SPEAKER_00]: I hope this is going to help a couple of people out there, you know, so do, to do better, you know what I'm saying?
- 59:53[SPEAKER_01]: And this is, yeah, that's what this was about ultimately, and that's what I want to do, man.
- 59:57[SPEAKER_01]: Like, like, that's what I want to use this platform as, you know, I think when we first started.
- 1:00:04[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it was all about the money, you know what I'm saying?

- 1:00:11[SPEAKER_01]: How the, how can I hope you make a lot of money fast?
