- 0:28Hey everybody. Good morning from the chicken
- 0:31coop. Hope you guys are having a great
- 0:33start to your day as we are out here.
- 0:36So for those of you who want to start something and you are
- 0:40thinking about changing what you're doing or you're in the
- 0:43process of beginning something, this is for all of you.
- 0:47I just started working with a woman who said to me, I I'm not
- 0:51sure I'm starting over. It's so I'm in a different stage
- 0:54in my life. I'm older, I thought.
- 0:57You know what? I'm going to record a podcast
- 1:00for her and I'm going to let her listen to this so she
- 1:03understands it. Besides just a session where she
- 1:06and I are talking about it, because this is so important for
- 1:08all of you to realize, age is just a construct that we have.
- 1:14Yes, of course, things begin. They go to a middle and they end
- 1:19in our human form of what we look at.
- 1:22We see that. But energy never does that.
- 1:25Energy is always. Always on the move.
- 1:28It's always here. It's always driving.
- 1:30It's always transforming. It's always moving.
- 1:33So that's the first thing to remember.
- 1:35The second thing when you're older and you want to start
- 1:38something, think about this list Henry Ford started at age 40 or
- 1:45had that, you know, the whole, you know, ideas of it.
- 1:49Christian Dior, 41, Sam Walton, 44, GoDaddy.
- 1:55Bob Parsons. 47 Adidas Adi Dassler 48 Bernie Marcus started
- 2:03Home Depot when he was 49. Ray Kroc started McDonald's when
- 2:07he was 52. Harlan Sanders, you know,
- 2:11Colonel Sanders are very most famous chicken guy, 62 years
- 2:15old. And the gentleman who started
- 2:17E*Trade, Bill Porter, was 63 years old.
- 2:22And I can tell you without question, without question.
- 2:26Now for those of you who are out there and saying, hey, listen, I
- 2:30just don't know about this or whatever, it doesn't matter.
- 2:33It doesn't matter. And I believe if I, and for some
- 2:36reason this list happens to be male, But I will tell you one
- 2:39thing, I know that there's a list of females out there too.
- 2:43And the next time I pull this and I do the Google search, I
- 2:46will make sure to ask for males and females.
- 2:49Isn't that interesting? It only pulled males.
- 2:51However, I do know Louise Hay started Hay House when she was
- 2:55in her late 50s and she ran that until she passed away, I believe
- 3:00in her 80s. So I will tell you, the age
- 3:05construct is just interesting to me because.
- 3:08It's not about how old you are when you start, it's about how
- 3:11you finish. It's never about how you start.
- 3:14It's about how you finish. It's about what you do in the
- 3:16process. It's about how you think this
- 3:19through and how you attune to that part of yourself and are
- 3:26you telling yourself you have limitations about it, so.
- 3:31You know, I didn't write my first book when I was in my 20s.
- 3:34I didn't write my first book when I was in my 30s.
- 3:38I wrote my first book when I was in my 40s.
- 3:41And I will tell you, I I had that moment of like, oh man.
- 3:46And you know, now I don't even think about this.
- 3:48I didn't start this podcast until I was in my 50s.
- 3:51So come on, seriously? Like, this is what we're going
- 3:54to worry about? I don't think so.
- 3:56This is a waste of time. And when you're kind of counting
- 3:59time, if you're if you are focused on that piece and you
- 4:02are thinking about it, why would you want to waste it worrying
- 4:05about something that you can't change?
- 4:08We can't change our quote UN quote human age.
- 4:11We cannot. So why worry about it?
- 4:13Why not just defy it? Why not put it in its place and
- 4:16say OK, so? Big deal.
- 4:20That's the condition in which I have to operate.
- 4:22Doesn't mean I have to stay that way.
- 4:24There's a woman, I don't know her name, but she's one of the
- 4:30yoga masters that travels all over the world and she's in her
- 4:3590s. And she's unbelievable in her
- 4:3990s. Why?
- 4:40Because she's full of life. She's made a decision in her
- 4:43head that her body serves her. She does not serve her body.
- 4:48So she goes out there, she works out, she does everything that
- 4:51she needs to do. And she doesn't worry about that
- 4:54piece of it. She's just out there loving
- 4:56people, helping people and giving them hope.
- 4:59And that's what it's all about, my friends.
- 5:01That's what it's all about. So I'm here to tell you as you
- 5:03listen to this. It doesn't matter if you're a
- 5:06man or a woman. And boy will I correct that one
- 5:08next time, because I didn't even realize.
- 5:11So I looked at the list as I was speaking about it.
- 5:15But I will say this is the part that you have a choice.
- 5:21You have a choice. You don't have to be stuck.
- 5:26You just have to be clear on the fact that you don't care about
- 5:29that part. It's never too late.
- 5:32It's only late if you put it that way.
- 5:34All right, my friends, I hope you have a blessed day and I
- 5:37will see you all tomorrow. Bye.
