- 0:11Speaker 1: And now, the mob guys break all your knees And
- 0:26Speaker 1: Wayne Dolcefino on KSV Radio.
- 0:42Speaker 2: It is the Mob, guys, on KSV Radio.
- 0:46Speaker 3: My name is Craig Colonese because Wayne Dolcefino makes me
- 0:49Speaker 3: call myself by my real last name. Wayne is on
- 0:53Speaker 3: special assignment, as I often say when he cannot make it,
- 0:56Speaker 3: when he's not here.
- 0:57Speaker 2: And there's a lot of things to talk about today.
- 0:59Speaker 2: I do want to start.
- 1:00Speaker 3: I know this is Houston and not Indianapolis, and I
- 1:04Speaker 3: know that this audience has no idea who the person
- 1:06Speaker 3: is that I'm talking about. But I do want to
- 1:08Speaker 3: start one more time talking about a friend of mine
- 1:11Speaker 3: who passed away, longtime traffic reporter in Indy for WIBC,
- 1:16Speaker 3: a radio station that I worked on a lot over
- 1:18Speaker 3: the last five or six years. as a fill-in host,
- 1:21Speaker 3: and often would use Matt, Matt Baer, all the time
- 1:25Speaker 3: on the radio. Whenever I filled in, he was essentially
- 1:27Speaker 3: the co-host of the show because I love working with
- 1:29Speaker 3: other voices. Part of the reason that I think Wayne
- 1:32Speaker 3: and I get along so well is that both of
- 1:34Speaker 3: us seem like guys that like to have a conversation
- 1:37Speaker 3: with other hosts on the radio, not just with you,
- 1:40Speaker 3: the audience, but with anybody that works around us. I
- 1:45Speaker 3: often would bring producers on my radio shows, too, anywhere
- 1:47Speaker 3: that I've been. So, I got a chance with a
- 1:51Speaker 3: lot of other people that cared about Matt to say
- 1:53Speaker 3: goodbye to him. They even live streamed the thing, which
- 1:56Speaker 3: was pretty cool. So the only thing I will say
- 1:59Speaker 3: about it, because there's a component that is universal that's
- 2:03Speaker 3: not just about how talented and funny a guy was
- 2:06Speaker 3: who died at 48 years old due to a tragic
- 2:09Speaker 3: accident that involved use of alcohol and then injury and
- 2:13Speaker 3: then being unaware of how bad the injury was and
- 2:16Speaker 3: passing away.
- 2:17Speaker 2: That's essentially what happened. But it's the other conversation.
- 2:21Speaker 3: We were all having while we were there about people
- 2:25Speaker 3: that might be suffering and that you don't know if
- 2:28Speaker 3: they're suffering.
- 2:29Speaker 2: And it's not alcoholism specifically. And I know here I'll
- 2:32Speaker 2: say this, too.
- 2:33Speaker 3: I know people do these sort of PSAs all over
- 2:35Speaker 3: the place, especially in left leaning media. I grew up
- 2:39Speaker 3: on them, honestly, as a little kid, like they were
- 2:41Speaker 3: in all the cartoon shows. Like if you're not doing well,
- 2:44Speaker 3: you need to tell somebody or check on your friends.
- 2:47Speaker 3: But I think it's really been while I've worked with veterans.
- 2:50Speaker 3: And we do have a veteran voice at 8.30 today
- 2:52Speaker 3: on the show that I've noticed it's not just one
- 2:56Speaker 3: side of the aisle trying to manipulate you emotionally sort
- 2:59Speaker 3: of thing.
- 2:59Speaker 2: It's a real thing.
- 3:01Speaker 3: Mental health challenges or alcoholism or whatever it might be,
- 3:05Speaker 3: those issues, they get to a lot of people.
- 3:08Speaker 2: And this is the funniest part.
- 3:11Speaker 3: Well, not funny part, but this is the strangest part
- 3:13Speaker 3: to me is that– I asked ChatGPT to start combing
- 3:17Speaker 3: through all of my fill-in shifts at WIBC to find
- 3:19Speaker 3: funny moments of Matt Baer and I.
- 3:22Speaker 2: And there's a lot of them.
- 3:24Speaker 3: There's a decent amount of moments where he says wildly
- 3:26Speaker 3: inappropriate stuff that shouldn't be on the radio.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Maybe I'll play some of them on this show. I
- 3:30Speaker 2: have a set of clips. You know what?
- 3:31Speaker 4: Screw it.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I can play a couple of those clips on
- 3:33Speaker 2: this show.
- 3:34Speaker 3: But anyway, it also showed me how often he would
- 3:38Speaker 3: make reference to not being mentally well. on the radio
- 3:43Speaker 3: and he would say it in like silly ways like
- 3:45Speaker 3: you know he was a single guy and he didn't
- 3:47Speaker 3: have um a woman in his life and he would
- 3:49Speaker 3: make jokes about how he never would but there was
- 3:52Speaker 3: a more significant amount of of man i should have
- 3:56Speaker 3: noticed this i should have understood that this was more
- 3:58Speaker 3: than just a humor moment and this was something else
- 4:02Speaker 3: and i should have reacted to it kind of thing
- 4:04Speaker 3: you know here i'm gonna play a couple these are
- 4:05Speaker 3: just a little it's like three minute teaser that i
- 4:08Speaker 3: put up on social media of matt bear reacting to
- 4:11Speaker 3: to crazy stories and None of them political that I
- 4:14Speaker 3: like to talk about.
- 4:15Speaker 2: This will be on the 360 for Russell if he doesn't. OK, cool.
- 4:18Speaker 3: That's all up and going. So let's go ahead and
- 4:20Speaker 3: play on that and see if these come out. And
- 4:23Speaker 3: they are not coming out. So let's see if there's
- 4:25Speaker 3: something going on over here. That's a problem with that
- 4:28Speaker 3: that I can check on and see.
- 4:30Speaker 2: I think I know what it is. So this problem
- 4:32Speaker 2: right here and now it might be really loud, but
- 4:34Speaker 2: we're going to try it again. Here we go. Is
- 4:36Speaker 2: there a spot in the single man's home that a
- 4:38Speaker 2: young woman is not going to love?
- 4:40Speaker 5: Anything with the door closed. Yeah. Don't go near.
- 4:43Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 4:44Speaker 7: I mean, of course there are places. I mean, I
- 4:46Speaker 7: do a good job. I'm a pretty clean person, Craig.
- 4:48Speaker 8: Sure.
- 4:49Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 4:49Speaker 5: I'm impressed. Terrific hygiene.
- 4:51Speaker 8: Way to go.
- 4:52Speaker 3: I think the bathroom is kept differently by a single
- 4:55Speaker 3: man than anybody else.
- 4:56Speaker 4: Right.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Like, I think it's clean, but not clean.
- 5:00Speaker 5: It's it's clean. But here's the thing.
- 5:02Speaker 7: There is going to be nothing visible when I leave
- 5:04Speaker 7: the house in the morning. When I come in for
- 5:05Speaker 7: morning rush hour, there will be nothing. Just in case,
- 5:08Speaker 7: in a rare moment, I say, hey, let's let's go
- 5:11Speaker 7: hang out at your apartment, watch Netflix or whatever else.
- 5:14Speaker 7: I want that toilet. Nothing visible. Now, remember, I said
- 5:17Speaker 7: nothing visible. OK, there could be something somewhere else.
- 5:21Speaker 10: Right.
- 5:21Speaker 5: But you would have to inspect the toilet. You would
- 5:23Speaker 5: have to.
- 5:24Speaker 7: If she's inspecting my toilet, I don't want to know her.
- 5:27Speaker 7: You know, it just goes like that. We don't need
- 5:29Speaker 7: to be together, so that's fine.
- 5:30Speaker 11: Okay.
- 5:31Speaker 3: Look, sometimes when I do this show and you and
- 5:33Speaker 3: I get to chat on the radio, Matt Baer, I
- 5:35Speaker 3: love the things you say. And this is now one
- 5:37Speaker 3: of my favorite things. If she's inspecting my toilet, I
- 5:40Speaker 3: don't want to know her. That needs to be on
- 5:41Speaker 3: a T-shirt somewhere with Matt's.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Photo on it.
- 5:44Speaker 5: If she's going through my top drawer, too, that's a problem.
- 5:46Speaker 2: Then you get out.
- 5:47Speaker 5: She's right out.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Absolutely. That's a problem.
- 5:49Speaker 5: That's my collection.
- 5:50Speaker 3: By the way, one other quick song idea I thought
- 5:52Speaker 3: for a colonoscopy, because why not? How about I Want
- 5:54Speaker 3: to Be Sedated by the Ramones? Yeah, I would want
- 6:04Speaker 3: them to hurry, hurry, hurry as well, by the way,
- 6:06Speaker 3: as they're doing that whole process.
- 6:07Speaker 2: I want that over quick.
- 6:08Speaker 5: I love the song. I mean, you can play that
- 6:11Speaker 5: at any time. You can play that when she does
- 6:12Speaker 5: the thing with the thumb, meaning the doctor. And that's okay, too.
- 6:15Speaker 5: You know, it's not. I've got to schedule my colonoscopy.
- 6:19Speaker 9: I know.
- 6:20Speaker 3: I have nothing after the thing with the thumb from
- 6:23Speaker 3: matt bear i i'll see you guys later tony's back
- 6:25Speaker 3: tomorrow this has been a blast you're an interesting onion
- 6:29Speaker 3: matt bear i don't know if you've ever been called
- 6:31Speaker 3: that before but you are you're a champion to help
- 6:34Speaker 3: people that deal with you know addiction issues and you're
- 6:36Speaker 3: also now colonoscopy guy yes i feel like you need a.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Third thing you need one more and then you got
- 6:42Speaker 2: the full.
- 6:42Speaker 5: What's that going for testosterone that's gonna be next.
- 6:45Speaker 7: Uh Maybe maybe bowling at an early age, like in
- 6:50Speaker 7: your late teens or early 20s.
- 6:52Speaker 5: I'm able to help with that. There are lots of
- 6:55Speaker 5: lots of opportunities to help, Craig.
- 6:57Speaker 2: There are. You're great.
- 6:59Speaker 3: I'm actually like genuinely thrilled.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Those are just a couple of moments of Matt and I.
- 7:04Speaker 3: He said that he wants to be known for balding
- 7:06Speaker 3: in his early 20s, late 30s as the third thing
- 7:08Speaker 3: for him to be known by. And again, I know
- 7:10Speaker 3: that this is probably not something that I should even
- 7:13Speaker 3: be doing here in Houston, but I can't help it.
- 7:16Speaker 3: And that's just from like one show where Matt was
- 7:19Speaker 3: getting ready to have a colonoscopy. So we earlier on
- 7:22Speaker 3: in the show talked about the music that he would
- 7:24Speaker 3: request that they play during said colonoscopy.
- 7:27Speaker 2: And then you get the end part of it. He's
- 7:30Speaker 2: such a funny guy. He's such so funny.
- 7:33Speaker 3: And I'll just say this again, because the point of
- 7:36Speaker 3: this is actually the deeper component to it.
- 7:39Speaker 2: And I think that this definitely resonates. I assume it
- 7:41Speaker 2: resonates a lot.
- 7:42Speaker 3: Veterans, because they do the buddy check-in or the veteran
- 7:45Speaker 3: check-in thing, genuinely ask people how they're doing. I think
- 7:50Speaker 3: that's an important thing that maybe we don't do enough.
- 7:53Speaker 3: And it can be anybody. It can be somebody very
- 7:55Speaker 3: close to you in your life, somebody you barely know.
- 7:58Speaker 3: But if you think there's anybody that might be struggling,
- 8:00Speaker 3: you probably occasionally just need to ask them. And I
- 8:02Speaker 3: think the value of that, by the way, is more
- 8:06Speaker 3: than giving them an opportunity to talk about whatever might
- 8:09Speaker 3: be a struggle because they might not open up. A
- 8:11Speaker 3: lot of people don't, even when you ask them if
- 8:13Speaker 3: they're okay. But I think the value is demonstrating that
- 8:15Speaker 3: people care. Because the last thing that's really cool about Matt,
- 8:19Speaker 3: a traffic guy for eight years in Indianapolis, and before that,
- 8:25Speaker 3: like 15 years that he worked at the station and
- 8:26Speaker 3: other capacities. So like a 20 plus year employee to
- 8:30Speaker 3: one place. I know, and I don't think anybody said
- 8:33Speaker 3: this publicly. I know he wanted more out of radio.
- 8:36Speaker 3: I know he wanted to be more than just the
- 8:38Speaker 3: traffic guy. And for whatever reason, I'm not blaming anybody,
- 8:42Speaker 3: those opportunities didn't materialize for him when I think he
- 8:45Speaker 3: did deserve them. And so another component, another discussion to
- 8:48Speaker 3: that is how full the arena was. They booked an
- 8:52Speaker 3: arena to say goodbye to one of the personalities on
- 8:56Speaker 3: a radio station, and a bunch of people showed up.
- 8:59Speaker 3: Like a ton of people were in what they called
- 9:02Speaker 3: the comment section, which is their YouTube section crowd of people,
- 9:05Speaker 3: along with the producer of the morning show, Carl. And
- 9:09Speaker 3: it's amazing because the only person who would be totally
- 9:12Speaker 3: unaware of the impact that he was having on the
- 9:15Speaker 3: community he lived in because of this medium that we
- 9:18Speaker 3: all love to do, that I and Wayne and everybody
- 9:20Speaker 3: else love to do, and Russell loves to do every
- 9:22Speaker 3: morning on his show. The other thing that Matt wouldn't
- 9:25Speaker 3: have believed is that that many people would show up
- 9:28Speaker 3: to an event like that, that they'd care that much
- 9:30Speaker 3: about him. And it was a packed house, which is
- 9:32Speaker 3: really cool. All right, we're going to take a break.
- 9:35Speaker 3: I know, again, this is outside. of what a lot
- 9:39Speaker 3: of people on this station would be aware of. That
- 9:42Speaker 3: video is up on my YouTube page, Craig Collins Show,
- 9:45Speaker 3: so you can go look at it at Radio Craig
- 9:47Speaker 3: C on YouTube, and there will be a much longer form,
- 9:49Speaker 3: tons of jokes between Matt and I that we shared
- 9:53Speaker 3: over years of being on the radio together.
- 9:55Speaker 2: Quick break, a lot more. This is KSEV Radio, the
- 9:58Speaker 2: voice of Texas.
- 10:33Speaker 10: Where conservatives find their voice, the voice of Texas.
- 10:37Speaker 12: Ball is here, and it's time for the 42nd Annual
- 10:39Speaker 12: Wings Over Houston Air Show, October 31st and November 1st
- 10:43Speaker 12: at Ellington Airport. Get tickets at wingsoverhouston.com and tune in
- 10:46Speaker 12: to the Three Amigos Show Friday at 4 p.m. for
- 10:49Speaker 12: your chance at winning some VIP tickets right here on
- 10:52Speaker 12: AM700 KSTV.
- 10:55Speaker 13: What kind of home do you live in?
- 10:57Speaker 2: We live in a two-bedroom high-rise condo.
- 10:59Speaker 14: A three-bedroom family home in the suburbs.
- 11:02Speaker 15: A farmhouse on our family ranch passed down through generations.
- 11:07Speaker 13: It doesn't matter where you live or what kind of
- 11:09Speaker 13: home you have. You all have one thing in common.
- 11:12Speaker 13: Gina Hinojosa voted to increase your property taxes. Not once,
- 11:17Speaker 13: not twice, but 40 different times Gina Hinojosa voted to
- 11:21Speaker 13: raise your property taxes. If she has her way, you'll
- 11:25Speaker 13: be priced out of your own home. Gina Hinojosa is
- 11:28Speaker 13: too radical to be governor of Texas. Luckily, Governor Greg
- 11:33Speaker 13: Abbott has a better plan.
- 11:35Speaker 16: We have to stop the insanity and instead give you
- 11:39Speaker 16: a different property tax relief that will do more than
- 11:42Speaker 16: cut your property tax bill in half forever. You're going
- 11:46Speaker 16: to be able to live in your home for the
- 11:47Speaker 16: rest of your lives without being priced.
- 11:50Speaker 6: Out of it.
- 11:50Speaker 13: Greg Abbott, governor.
- 11:52Speaker 5: Political ad paid for by Texans for Greg Abbott.
- 11:56Speaker 10: Your home team for conservative talk radio, the voice of Texas.

- 15:01Speaker 3: This is The Mob, guys, on KSEV Radio, the voice
- 15:04Speaker 3: of Texas.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Thrilled to be with you. So much stuff out there
- 15:09Speaker 2: to talk about.
- 15:10Speaker 3: So many things to do. So many things to see.
- 15:13Speaker 3: So many stuff. I don't know how to say that
- 15:15Speaker 3: another way, so I'll just stop saying it. But I
- 15:17Speaker 3: am thrilled to be with you. I did see a
- 15:20Speaker 3: couple things that Wayne had sent me, and then one
- 15:23Speaker 3: that I had sent him, as far as audio goes.
- 15:27Speaker 3: And one of the pieces I can't actually play because
- 15:29Speaker 3: Charles Barkley says, bad word too many times. But it is,
- 15:33Speaker 3: it's incredible audio. Charles Barkley, I think, did, what is it,
- 15:38Speaker 3: Chris Cuomo's podcast. And Cuomo, real quick, I don't know why,
- 15:42Speaker 3: but Cuomo has now changed completely so that he's someone
- 15:46Speaker 3: that believes a lot of the things that when he
- 15:49Speaker 3: was on CNN, he kind of attacked. I don't know
- 15:51Speaker 3: if it's completely, there's still some definite liberal in there,
- 15:55Speaker 3: but a very different person. So it shows that depending
- 15:58Speaker 3: on who's cutting the check to Chris Cuomo, His opinions
- 16:01Speaker 3: are very much up for sale. But while he was
- 16:04Speaker 3: interviewing Charles Barkley, Charles said he often votes Democratic. He
- 16:08Speaker 3: considers himself an independent. But he kept saying that the
- 16:11Speaker 3: Democrats are saying some really stupid bleep. And he just
- 16:14Speaker 3: kept doing it. He's like, no, cops, that's a really
- 16:16Speaker 3: stupid bleep. No, this really stupid bleep. And so I
- 16:20Speaker 3: was going to edit that audio and play that for you,
- 16:21Speaker 3: but I didn't have time. So I'll just tell you
- 16:24Speaker 3: that it's out there and it exists and you can
- 16:26Speaker 3: go find it because I do think it's pretty funny.
- 16:28Speaker 3: There's also this audio. This is Theo Vaughn's podcast. Theo
- 16:33Speaker 3: Vaughn is a guy that doesn't work for anybody.
- 16:35Speaker 2: He's a younger person.
- 16:36Speaker 3: If you don't know who he is, he interviewed President
- 16:39Speaker 3: Trump when Trump was running for reelection and probably was
- 16:42Speaker 3: one of a couple podcast to stand people like Joe
- 16:46Speaker 3: Rogan that helped more young individuals.
- 16:49Speaker 2: Also vote for Trump.
- 16:50Speaker 3: It's probably part of the reason that Trump did so
- 16:52Speaker 3: well with those groups of people. He had on Zoran
- 16:55Speaker 3: Mamdami and he asked Mamdami to define socialism. And I
- 17:00Speaker 3: did think this was at least interesting enough to play.
- 17:02Speaker 3: Let's go ahead and play on this.
- 17:04Speaker 5: About socialism, right? Because it's a buzzword, right?
- 17:07Speaker 9: Because socialism, will you define socialism for us? Because people
- 17:12Speaker 9: say it a lot and don't know what it is.
- 17:14Speaker 9: And sometimes those people are me.
- 17:17Speaker 19: I'm so happy to be with those people right now.
- 17:21Speaker 19: Socialism to me, it means that you will have whatever
- 17:27Speaker 19: you need to live a dignified life. And that it
- 17:30Speaker 19: is the government's job to deliver on that.
- 17:33Speaker 3: So that is terrifying as an answer to that question.
- 17:36Speaker 3: I want to play that again. I do like Theo
- 17:38Speaker 3: Vaughn joking that he doesn't know what the word means
- 17:41Speaker 3: because I also think he represents a lot of younger
- 17:43Speaker 3: people that love the idea of getting stuff for free
- 17:47Speaker 3: that also don't really understand what that means because this
- 17:49Speaker 3: is a poor definition.
- 17:51Speaker 2: Here we go.
- 17:51Speaker 5: I want to talk a little bit about socialism, right?
- 17:53Speaker 20: Please.
- 17:53Speaker 5: Because it's a buzzword, right?
- 17:55Speaker 9: Because socialism– will you define socialism for us? Because people
- 18:00Speaker 9: say it a lot and don't know what it is,
- 18:02Speaker 9: and sometimes those people are me.
- 18:05Speaker 19: I'm so happy to be with those people right now.
- 18:09Speaker 19: Socialism to me, it means that you will have whatever
- 18:15Speaker 19: you need to live a dignified life and that it
- 18:18Speaker 19: is the government's job– to deliver on that.
- 18:21Speaker 3: All right, so let's actually define what he's saying correctly,
- 18:24Speaker 3: because socialism actually means taking over the means of production.
- 18:27Speaker 3: It means taking over the means of so many different
- 18:29Speaker 3: things that private companies own right now, regulating those things
- 18:33Speaker 3: as either a community or a state, and essentially impacting
- 18:37Speaker 3: the ability for a whole bunch of people who built
- 18:39Speaker 3: companies to profit from the companies they made.
- 18:41Speaker 2: And why is that bad?
- 18:43Speaker 3: Might be a question that I doubt many people in
- 18:45Speaker 3: this audience need the answer to, but it seems that
- 18:49Speaker 3: Theo Vaughn And a bunch of liberals definitely need the
- 18:51Speaker 3: answer to this question. Why is it bad to trust
- 18:53Speaker 3: the government for everything? Because if you think that business,
- 18:58Speaker 3: that business leaders, that the 1%, whatever you want to
- 19:00Speaker 3: describe them as, are selfish, they keep everything for themselves,
- 19:07Speaker 3: don't give everything to you, all that kind of stuff.
- 19:09Speaker 3: If you think that exists in capitalism, you make it
- 19:12Speaker 3: profoundly worse, that same concept, end socialism with government people
- 19:18Speaker 3: who already willfully waste a bunch of our money. Like
- 19:21Speaker 3: the government is the least responsible entity with your and
- 19:25Speaker 3: I's dollars of anyone out there. The business people who
- 19:29Speaker 3: build a bunch of, you know, wealth by selling us
- 19:33Speaker 3: things at least have to still convince us to give
- 19:35Speaker 3: the money. The government can just take it. And in
- 19:37Speaker 3: this case, the government would just take everything else, the.
- 19:39Speaker 2: Factories, the tools, the whatever they need.
- 19:42Speaker 3: They'd own the grocery stores, as you're seeing in New
- 19:45Speaker 3: York already, and they'd own everything else. And then you
- 19:48Speaker 3: create an even smaller group of incredibly powerful people who
- 19:53Speaker 3: just benefit themselves. These are the days where you have
- 19:56Speaker 3: the guy in the giant castle eating all of the
- 19:59Speaker 3: good food while everyone else is starving to death.
- 20:01Speaker 2: That is communism. That is socialism.
- 20:04Speaker 3: That's all the things that they're asking for.
- 20:06Speaker 2: They're giving themselves more. When Mamdami is saying.
- 20:10Speaker 3: I want to do this for you, what he should
- 20:12Speaker 3: be saying is I want to do this for me
- 20:14Speaker 3: because I want to be the person in charge of
- 20:16Speaker 3: all the money and I get to decide who gets
- 20:18Speaker 3: it and who doesn't get it.
- 20:19Speaker 2: And guess what?
- 20:20Speaker 3: I'm going to give the most of it, a tremendous
- 20:22Speaker 3: amount of it to myself and my friends. It's just
- 20:24Speaker 3: it's crazy. But if you're someone because I do think
- 20:27Speaker 3: the left and young people on the left respond to
- 20:30Speaker 3: the idea that life's not fair and some rich person
- 20:34Speaker 3: is the reason why that your life individually isn't fair.
- 20:36Speaker 3: And there's someone out there who's hoarded too much. it's
- 20:40Speaker 3: almost reminiscent of toilet paper and COVID. Like when you
- 20:44Speaker 3: saw people go viral that took all the toilet paper,
- 20:47Speaker 3: a lot of 20-somethings and 30-somethings, and I'm 40, but
- 20:50Speaker 3: I think I'm on the tail end of the millennial
- 20:52Speaker 3: generation that believes this, envision the same thing, where there's
- 20:56Speaker 3: some successful person out there who's hoarded all the money
- 20:59Speaker 3: the way that they hoarded toilet paper during COVID. And
- 21:02Speaker 3: for that reason, I can't get any. For that reason,
- 21:04Speaker 3: I don't have the things that I want or the
- 21:06Speaker 3: things that I need. And that's so profoundly inaccurate. in
- 21:09Speaker 3: how simplified of a message that is, and as I said,
- 21:12Speaker 3: how wrong of a message that is, but it would
- 21:15Speaker 3: be true if socialists took over. All the things that
- 21:18Speaker 3: you'd be terrified are currently happening in the version of
- 21:21Speaker 3: society we have would actually exist. There would be a
- 21:25Speaker 3: finite amount of people who had way too much control
- 21:27Speaker 3: over everything, and we've seen it a myriad of times
- 21:30Speaker 3: in the past. We know this is a terrible lesson
- 21:33Speaker 3: that we need to learn, and somehow we're still not
- 21:36Speaker 3: learning it, which is sort of surreal to me and
- 21:38Speaker 3: I guess, sort of unsurprising. It's both surprising and completely
- 21:41Speaker 3: unsurprising that it's a thing that's happening. Now, by the way,
- 21:44Speaker 3: I'll just throw this out there, too. I am filling
- 21:46Speaker 3: in for Dana again today. I'll be on Dana Lash
- 21:49Speaker 3: today and Monday. So you can hear me from two
- 21:51Speaker 3: to four o'clock on this radio station just before the
- 21:54Speaker 3: Amigos get going. And then also you can hear me
- 21:57Speaker 3: on Monday from two to four o'clock in for Dana Lash.
- 22:00Speaker 3: One other piece of audio I want to play.
- 22:01Speaker 2: This is J.D.
- 22:02Speaker 6: Vance.
- 22:03Speaker 3: He is talking about bad policies that were enacted and
- 22:06Speaker 3: how voter fraud became a thing that was a problem
- 22:09Speaker 3: This is during a sit-down interview with Sean Hannity on
- 22:12Speaker 3: Fox News. I do also kind of want to play
- 22:16Speaker 3: some audio from my cousin. My cousin sat down, Vince Colonese,
- 22:20Speaker 3: with the vice president a few days ago. We played
- 22:24Speaker 3: it on his show on this station, so maybe I'll
- 22:26Speaker 3: get to that. And then finally, I guess one more
- 22:28Speaker 3: programming thing. I'm going to play a couple interviews from FaithFest.
- 22:31Speaker 3: I was at FaithFest last weekend. I know Chris X
- 22:33Speaker 3: was there, too. We did a live show on Friday
- 22:36Speaker 3: and talked to a myriad of people. Connected to that event,
- 22:39Speaker 3: I did a couple extra interviews on Saturday, including one
- 22:42Speaker 3: with Bonnie Wallace, who is awesome.
- 22:45Speaker 2: So I'll play that a little bit later on, too.
- 22:46Speaker 2: But here's J.D. Vance on Hannity Show.
- 22:49Speaker 20: I'd summarize it, Sean, is they don't just want to
- 22:51Speaker 20: enact bad policy. They actually want to make it so
- 22:53Speaker 20: that Republicans can never win another national election.
- 22:56Speaker 2: They want voter fraud.
- 22:58Speaker 15: They want to.
- 22:58Speaker 20: Destroy the foundations of American constitutional republicanism. They want to
- 23:02Speaker 20: make it so that we have another three or four states.
- 23:05Speaker 20: three or four states that happen to vote 25 percent,
- 23:08Speaker 20: 50 percent blue. So the Republicans can never again control
- 23:11Speaker 20: the United States Senate. So what the Democrats are actively
- 23:14Speaker 20: telling us that they want to do is transform our
- 23:16Speaker 20: country while simultaneously making it possible for Republicans to ever
- 23:20Speaker 20: win an election. This is not the time to sort
- 23:22Speaker 20: of gripe about all the little things. There are obviously
- 23:26Speaker 20: I think every single person who voted for us in
- 23:29Speaker 20: 2024 could find something where they wish maybe congressional Republicans
- 23:32Speaker 20: had gone further. passed the Save America Act, which obviously
- 23:35Speaker 20: the president and I worked very hard on. But the
- 23:38Speaker 20: challenge here is between— Democrats who want to destroy the country,
- 23:43Speaker 20: who want to permanently disempower you, make it so that
- 23:46Speaker 20: even if you vote Republican, your vote doesn't actually count anymore.
- 23:49Speaker 20: And Republicans who fundamentally are trying to solve the problems
- 23:53Speaker 20: that Democrats under Joe Biden created.
- 23:55Speaker 5: That is the choice.
- 23:56Speaker 10: So I actually.
- 23:57Speaker 2: Yeah, I know which one I'll choose in that situation.
- 23:59Speaker 2: I know which one I would pick.
- 24:00Speaker 3: By the way, Chris Salcedo, who does a show on
- 24:02Speaker 3: social media that I'm not telling you to go check
- 24:04Speaker 3: out right now, even though it might be live right now,
- 24:06Speaker 3: has titled the episode of his show, We Interrupt This
- 24:08Speaker 3: Blue Wave to Bring You Reality.
- 24:10Speaker 2: And I couldn't agree with Chris more.
- 24:12Speaker 3: With Salcedo that, yes, the blue wave reporting feels like
- 24:17Speaker 3: it can't be true because the ridiculousness of some of
- 24:20Speaker 3: the things on the left and even Charles Barkley being
- 24:22Speaker 3: willing to admit them. But also how it's probably a,
- 24:26Speaker 3: you know, psyop, as Dana or anyone else would call it,
- 24:29Speaker 3: trying to convince a lot of Republicans to sit out
- 24:32Speaker 3: and not vote because they're doomed.
- 24:34Speaker 2: Their candidates can't win. So why even go?
- 24:36Speaker 3: It's that type of thing that should actually have the
- 24:39Speaker 3: reverse effect. on a whole bunch of people out there
- 24:41Speaker 3: who want to see the blue wave not happen.
- 24:44Speaker 2: You should definitely show up and vote.
- 24:46Speaker 3: You shouldn't listen to anyone telling you there's going to
- 24:48Speaker 3: be a giant wave of the other side coming in
- 24:51Speaker 3: because they're doing that on purpose. It's fascinating as we
- 24:55Speaker 3: get closer and closer to this election. I do think
- 24:57Speaker 3: I'll say one last thing and then we'll take another break.
- 24:59Speaker 3: I do think Texas is being used a lot as a,
- 25:03Speaker 3: a portion of that discussion. The Ken Paxton election, you know, Frico,
- 25:10Speaker 3: a James Telfrico debate, or whatever it is, whatever the
- 25:15Speaker 3: inevitability of that one race will be, a lot of
- 25:18Speaker 3: the left is pretending that that's a sign that all
- 25:20Speaker 3: of these other candidates throughout the country will also lose
- 25:23Speaker 3: to radical, crazy leftists.
- 25:25Speaker 2: And it's not.
- 25:26Speaker 3: It's not even remotely close to a sign, and I
- 25:28Speaker 3: don't even think it'll happen. I do still think Paxton
- 25:30Speaker 3: will win. He'll squeak it out. But I do think
- 25:32Speaker 3: that'll occur.
- 25:33Speaker 2: All right, quick break. A lot more.
- 25:35Speaker 3: This is KSEV Mornings. The Voice of Texas. My name
- 25:39Speaker 3: is Craig Colonese, Wayne Dolcefino on Special Assignment. Coming up
- 25:43Speaker 3: after this, my interview from Texas Faith Fest with Bonnie Wallace.
- 25:47Speaker 2: There was a lot of noise going on around.
- 25:49Speaker 3: Us, so the equipment I had removed the noise, but
- 25:53Speaker 3: you'll notice in the audio that there's a lot of
- 25:55Speaker 3: times where there's very quick nothing sounds, and then you'll
- 25:58Speaker 3: hear us talking again, so it's a little weird, but
- 26:00Speaker 3: it works.
- 26:01Speaker 2: I'll play that next on The Voice of Texas.
- 26:27Speaker 21: When it's time to replace a roof, some people put
- 26:29Speaker 21: it off until an emergency arises. This is Deb Tejada
- 26:32Speaker 21: from Tejas Roofing, your Houston roofing company.
- 26:34Speaker 2: I understand.
- 26:35Speaker 21: People tell me it's way too complicated and too expensive.
- 26:39Speaker 15: Our customers tell us they wish they would have done
- 26:41Speaker 15: it sooner.
- 26:42Speaker 13: I hear it all the time.
- 26:43Speaker 21: Once the roof is replaced, they wonder why they waited
- 26:46Speaker 21: so long because it's really not that complicated. We show
- 26:49Speaker 21: up on time. We quote you a fair price. We
- 26:51Speaker 21: replace most roofs in just one day. At Tejas Roofing,
- 26:54Speaker 21: we take pride in making the process easy.
- 26:57Speaker 15: The cleanup is phenomenal. People always comment that it looks
- 27:00Speaker 15: like we were never there. And now those customers sleep
- 27:02Speaker 15: better at night knowing your new roof has been installed correctly.
- 27:05Speaker 21: When you know you need a new roof, don't put
- 27:07Speaker 21: it off. Call me now, Depp DeHatta at Tejas Roofing, 281-251-0304.
- 27:13Speaker 21: Estimates are free, 281-251-0304. When you need roofing repairs, a
- 27:18Speaker 21: new roof, or remodeling, call us at Tejas Roofing, 281-251-0304.
- 27:23Speaker 4: Call Deb today for Tejas Roofing's free beat to winter
- 27:26Speaker 4: weather roof inspection.
- 27:28Speaker 22: At O'Hare & Company Real Estate, we believe there are
- 27:31Speaker 22: people in our country and other countries that are trying
- 27:33Speaker 22: to chip away at our freedom. We are taking a
- 27:35Speaker 22: stand against the tyranny that is happening and want to
- 27:38Speaker 22: protect what our veterans and forefathers have fought.
- 27:40Speaker 2: And died for.
- 27:41Speaker 22: Texans are independent thinkers, self-reliant, and bold. If you want
- 27:45Speaker 22: a real estate company that has a backbone, give us
- 27:48Speaker 22: a call at 281-373-3393. Again, that's 281-373-3393. Or look us
- 27:56Speaker 22: up on the web at oherare.com.
- 28:00Speaker 6: Hi, this is Michael Miller. Join me this weekend for
- 28:03Speaker 6: the Backyard Bay Radio Program. Now at our new time,
- 28:07Speaker 6: Saturday mornings at 9 a.m., right here on AM 700
- 28:10Speaker 6: KSEV The Voice.
- 28:15Speaker 18: From the KSEV Weather Center, today will be mainly cloudy
- 28:18Speaker 18: and humid with a couple of showers and a thunderstorm.
- 28:21Speaker 18: Any downpour can cause temporary flooding on roadways and in
- 28:24Speaker 18: poor drainage areas with a high of 89. Tonight will
- 28:27Speaker 18: remain cloudy most of the time with a couple of
- 28:29Speaker 18: showers and a thunderstorm remaining humid with a low of 74. Tomorrow,
- 28:33Speaker 18: expect more clouds and sun with humidity lingering and a
- 28:36Speaker 18: chance of a couple of showers and a heavy thunderstorm
- 28:38Speaker 18: reaching a high of 85. With the KACV Weather Center forecast,
- 28:42Speaker 18: I'm ACU Weather Meteorologist Joe Lundberg.
- 28:55Speaker 2: KSEV radio.
- 28:58Speaker 3: It is the voice of Texas.
- 29:05Speaker 7: Okay.
- 29:06Speaker 3: KSEV radio on the voice of Texas. My name is
- 29:09Speaker 3: Craig colonies. I'm probably not sitting where I should be
- 29:12Speaker 3: sitting to be centered. And I think that's the wrong camera.
- 29:15Speaker 3: It's getting picked up over there. Cause I don't even
- 29:17Speaker 3: see me in the chair. I think it's that chair.
- 29:20Speaker 3: So I don't know what camera that even is.
- 29:22Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 29:22Speaker 2: I don't even know what camera that is. That's weird.
- 29:24Speaker 2: I can fix that too. All right.
- 29:26Speaker 3: Anyway, we'll get to that in a minute because I'm
- 29:29Speaker 3: not logged into that computer. I can't do it from here.
- 29:31Speaker 3: I'm talking about our live stream. You might just see
- 29:32Speaker 3: an empty chair and not me, but I'll get to
- 29:35Speaker 3: that in a bit. I do want to play an
- 29:36Speaker 3: interview I have with Bonnie Wallace, but first I will
- 29:38Speaker 3: take a call.
- 29:39Speaker 10: Joe?
- 29:39Speaker 2: What do you want to say?
- 29:43Speaker 4: Hey, how's it going?
- 29:44Speaker 10: Good.
- 29:44Speaker 2: How you doing?
- 29:47Speaker 9: Good.
- 29:47Speaker 6: So I was just.
- 29:48Speaker 14: Going to say what you're saying is exactly right about
- 29:50Speaker 14: people looking for someone to blame. And it's the same thing.
- 29:53Speaker 14: Same thing here, especially lazy leftists and lazy, you know,
- 29:56Speaker 14: kids growing up whose parents didn't teach them a lot
- 29:58Speaker 14: of discipline. I mean, obviously, as a human, we all know, like, humans,
- 30:03Speaker 14: you know, as a human who has experienced other humans,
- 30:05Speaker 14: I mean, whether we blame ourselves or not, whether we're
- 30:07Speaker 14: disciplined or.
- 30:08Speaker 8: Not, we all know that a lot.
- 30:09Speaker 14: Of people are naturally like that. Kids are naturally like that.
- 30:12Speaker 14: If you raise them up in snot-nosed, you know, leftist homes,
- 30:15Speaker 14: I mean, what do you.
- 30:16Speaker 10: Expect, you know?
- 30:16Speaker 6: 100%.
- 30:17Speaker 10: Amen.
- 30:17Speaker 2: I agree with that.
- 30:19Speaker 14: Yeah, and I just want to say, like, same thing
- 30:22Speaker 14: you were saying about everybody looking for someone to be
- 30:25Speaker 14: mad at and like, oh, look at Israel. They do
- 30:26Speaker 14: this and they do that. They do this.
- 30:28Speaker 10: And that's true.
- 30:30Speaker 14: All I was trying to say was the other day
- 30:32Speaker 14: was I started the wrong way for you, which was
- 30:34Speaker 14: like saying some of the things that, well, first of all,
- 30:37Speaker 14: the first thing I said is not like the way
- 30:41Speaker 14: you took it.
- 30:41Speaker 2: All right, here, hold on.
- 30:42Speaker 10: Hold on, Joe.
- 30:43Speaker 3: I got to stop you for a second. I got
- 30:44Speaker 3: to stop you for a second because no one knows
- 30:45Speaker 3: what the hell you're talking about. You called into the
- 30:47Speaker 3: show a couple of days ago. I didn't let you
- 30:50Speaker 3: speak for as long as I think you wanted to speak.
- 30:53Speaker 3: for reasons that I laid out on that show. Anyone
- 30:55Speaker 3: who doesn't know or didn't hear that has no idea
- 30:57Speaker 3: what you're talking about now. But you are trying to,
- 31:00Speaker 3: once again, bring up the conversation of Israel and make
- 31:03Speaker 3: the point you were trying to make a couple days ago.
- 31:05Speaker 2: So go ahead. I don't know what the point was, but.
- 31:07Speaker 15: Yeah, I don't know.
- 31:08Speaker 14: We don't have time for all of it.
- 31:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't think... We don't have time for all
- 31:11Speaker 2: of it.
- 31:11Speaker 4: Okay, okay.
- 31:12Speaker 2: Well, the thing is, no one knows what you're talking about.
- 31:14Speaker 10: So I have.
- 31:14Speaker 2: Gotcha. You've said that a couple times.
- 31:17Speaker 21: Okay.
- 31:18Speaker 16: Okay.
- 31:19Speaker 4: Okay.
- 31:20Speaker 3: He doesn't know how to be respectful. He's got to
- 31:21Speaker 3: learn how to be respectful. I don't need him to
- 31:23Speaker 3: tell me that I said something a couple of times.
- 31:24Speaker 2: I'm sorry, Joe. I appreciate it. We'll talk about that
- 31:27Speaker 2: some other time.
- 31:28Speaker 3: I want to get to the Bonnie Wallace interview, but
- 31:30Speaker 3: I like that you called and agreed with some other stuff.
- 31:33Speaker 3: I think that I'm going to say this the nicest
- 31:35Speaker 3: way I can. I think that some other shows in
- 31:38Speaker 3: the station might have given everybody who calls it an
- 31:40Speaker 3: opportunity to speak as long as they want to. And
- 31:44Speaker 3: I really want you to get to the point because
- 31:45Speaker 3: I really want to be able to move from caller
- 31:47Speaker 3: to caller or subject to subject, whoever you are. I'm
- 31:50Speaker 3: not trying to be disrespectful. I just would like you
- 31:52Speaker 3: to be able to get to your points quickly so
- 31:54Speaker 3: that we can discuss them quickly because, and I think
- 31:57Speaker 3: I talked about this on air once with Wayne, there's
- 32:00Speaker 3: a lot of data out there in radio that says
- 32:02Speaker 3: the longer we, and I probably do this all the
- 32:04Speaker 3: time too, man.
- 32:05Speaker 2: I do it as a host. You take too long
- 32:07Speaker 2: to get to your point, you lose people.
- 32:09Speaker 10: But all right.
- 32:09Speaker 3: Anyway, Bonnie Wallace, amazing human. incredible things that she does
- 32:14Speaker 3: mostly to protect kids in the world of books that
- 32:17Speaker 3: are in schools. I thought that that was probably the
- 32:20Speaker 3: best conversation I did on the second day on Saturday
- 32:25Speaker 3: at Faith Fest last weekend. So here it is, the
- 32:27Speaker 3: whole thing. I thought it was awesome. I'm very thrilled
- 32:31Speaker 3: to have Bonnie Wallace sit down with me. Bonnie, I'm
- 32:33Speaker 3: a relatively new Texan, and yet I know about you.
- 32:36Speaker 2: You're welcome. Thank you.
- 32:39Speaker 3: You're a person that's been doing a lot of things
- 32:41Speaker 3: for a little while now that a lot of other
- 32:43Speaker 3: people I think would be afraid to do. Can you
- 32:45Speaker 3: tell me very simplistically why has this been your mission
- 32:49Speaker 3: to try to inform parents about the insanity of things
- 32:54Speaker 3: that are on bookshelves in schools?
- 32:55Speaker 8: Yeah, great question. So if you're a biblical scholar or
- 33:00Speaker 8: you just like to read the Bible like I do,
- 33:02Speaker 8: Joshua 1.9 tells us, have I not commanded you? Be
- 33:07Speaker 8: strong and courageous. Do not be terrified. Do not be discouraged.
- 33:10Speaker 8: The Lord your God goes with you wherever you go.
- 33:13Speaker 8: So I start by saying that because people are afraid
- 33:16Speaker 8: to go speak at a school board. Listen, this content
- 33:20Speaker 8: is so harmful. It's so filthy that it's very embarrassing
- 33:25Speaker 8: to read. But if that is what God is asking
- 33:29Speaker 8: you to do for him, then I think we have
- 33:31Speaker 8: an obligation to be obedient and do that. So that's
- 33:34Speaker 8: why I do it. And it's not up to Bonnie Wallace.
- 33:40Speaker 8: It's about doing Jesus' work, following the path that he
- 33:44Speaker 8: set out. And the beautiful thing is he opens doors
- 33:48Speaker 8: and multiplies our efforts in ways we can never ask
- 33:51Speaker 8: or imagine. So the content, as you said, it's very,
- 33:55Speaker 8: very harmful. And the minds of our children are not
- 33:58Speaker 8: fully developed yet. And so they don't have discernment. And
- 34:02Speaker 8: I just feel.
- 34:05Speaker 8: God nudging me that I have to open eyes, and
- 34:09Speaker 8: so that's.
- 34:09Speaker 9: What I do.
- 34:10Speaker 2: Yeah, and I mentioned it. I don't know if that
- 34:12Speaker 2: was on air or off air now.
- 34:13Speaker 3: I can't remember already, but you got kicked out of
- 34:15Speaker 3: a Houston event, a Houston Independent School District event, and
- 34:19Speaker 3: you were reading books that are in the library at
- 34:23Speaker 3: the school.
- 34:24Speaker 2: Can you fathom how we've gotten to.
- 34:27Speaker 3: A place where there are advocates for that type of
- 34:29Speaker 3: content being allowed in the school, and yet you can't
- 34:32Speaker 3: show up and read it at a meeting?
- 34:34Speaker 8: Well, I think it's twofold.
- 34:36Speaker 9: Sure.
- 34:37Speaker 8: Part of it is that the school board, I feel,
- 34:40Speaker 8: often does not know. They do not have any idea.
- 34:44Speaker 8: And think about this. Houston, I don't know how many,
- 34:46Speaker 8: they have like 200 and something campuses. So I give
- 34:51Speaker 8: them grace because we all need grace. But I think
- 34:54Speaker 8: that they really don't know. So when I'm reading this,
- 34:57Speaker 8: they are freaking out. They literally were freaking out. The
- 35:01Speaker 8: board president wasn't there that day. It was the vice chair.
- 35:04Speaker 8: And she's gaveling and saying, that's inappropriate, that's inappropriate. Yes,
- 35:08Speaker 8: I agree.
- 35:08Speaker 2: I agree wholeheartedly.
- 35:09Speaker 8: Wholeheartedly agree.
- 35:10Speaker 2: Literally your point.
- 35:11Speaker 8: Completely inappropriate. Why are you placing that in front of
- 35:15Speaker 8: your students? The day I spoke, which was March 19th,
- 35:19Speaker 8: that book that I read was in three school campuses.
- 35:23Speaker 9: Three.
- 35:25Speaker 8: The day of the press conference, Dan Patrick told me
- 35:28Speaker 8: that Mike Morath had told him that that book had
- 35:30Speaker 8: been removed. And I said, are you sure? Because I
- 35:33Speaker 8: don't think so. And he's like, well, can we check?
- 35:35Speaker 8: So I whipped out my laptop and I looked. And
- 35:38Speaker 8: it had been removed from DeBakey High School, one high school.
- 35:41Speaker 8: But it was still present in two. And guess what?
- 35:44Speaker 8: It had been added to six additional high schools.
- 35:48Speaker 2: That's crazy. That's crazy.
- 35:50Speaker 8: It's demonic.
- 35:50Speaker 2: Yes, it's demonic. And I'll say this.
- 35:53Speaker 3: I think there are some people, and maybe you encounter
- 35:56Speaker 3: them when you do what you do, that genuinely believe.
- 35:59Speaker 3: that they're helping people in allowing for some of this
- 36:02Speaker 3: content to be in schools. And for those individuals, I
- 36:06Speaker 3: am surprised there's not a willingness to have a conversation.
- 36:08Speaker 3: There's a lot of people who won't have a conversation
- 36:10Speaker 3: who seem to know what they're doing. But you said
- 36:12Speaker 3: you provide grace to a lot of people. And I
- 36:14Speaker 3: hear it sometimes when I talk to my friends on
- 36:16Speaker 3: the left. I lived in Chicago for 20 years.
- 36:18Speaker 2: I know a lot of liberal people. Thank you. It's
- 36:21Speaker 2: very good. Better late than never. Honestly.
- 36:23Speaker 3: And I'll also tell you that I know educators who
- 36:25Speaker 3: believe that they're somehow instilling more understanding in the young
- 36:29Speaker 3: people that might be reading this. And it's amazing to
- 36:33Speaker 3: think about how harmful that actually is to the kids themselves.
- 36:36Speaker 2: As you said, children are being treated. I'm sorry, this
- 36:39Speaker 2: is a very long question.
- 36:40Speaker 3: I don't know if I'm asking, but children are being
- 36:42Speaker 3: treated like adults when they're definitely not adults yet. And
- 36:45Speaker 3: so I can't also understand why that message isn't easier
- 36:50Speaker 3: for the other side to grasp.
- 36:51Speaker 2: Are you surprised? at how much pushback you get to
- 36:54Speaker 2: what you've been doing for the last few years?
- 36:55Speaker 8: Initially, I was. I thought when I found this content
- 36:59Speaker 8: in Llano County in the public library, that was the
- 37:02Speaker 8: first book I ever saw. That was in November of 2021.
- 37:06Speaker 8: I thought, no problem. It's going to be gone. And
- 37:09Speaker 8: it was. In the Llano Public Library, I told the
- 37:12Speaker 8: judge and the commissioners, they marched down to the library.
- 37:15Speaker 8: They moved it out of the kids section into the
- 37:17Speaker 8: adult section. Never left the library. We got sued. I
- 37:21Speaker 8: got sued in that lawsuit for telling the judge. I mean,
- 37:24Speaker 8: you know, it's like, okay, that should be like, don't
- 37:27Speaker 8: I have a right to tell the judge something?
- 37:28Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 37:29Speaker 8: But, you know, God uses everything. And so it all
- 37:33Speaker 8: turns out for his good. And so, but I also
- 37:37Speaker 8: immediately checked the Llano High School Library. Now, you probably
- 37:42Speaker 8: being from Chicago, you might not have been to Llano yet.
- 37:45Speaker 16: No.
- 37:45Speaker 8: 89% Trump in the last vote. We are very, very,
- 37:48Speaker 8: very conservative. One of the most conservative counties. We have
- 37:52Speaker 8: one school district. My daughter had graduated from high school
- 37:55Speaker 8: there in 2019. I thought, I'm not going to find
- 37:58Speaker 8: it in the high school. No, I found that and
- 38:01Speaker 8: significantly worse. The book I was reading in Houston was
- 38:05Speaker 8: also in Llano High School. And so the content did
- 38:11Speaker 8: surprise me. But the pushback You know, I thought I
- 38:14Speaker 8: could get it removed in six weeks or, you know.
- 38:18Speaker 8: We're almost in, we're past, we're bumping up to five years.
- 38:21Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 38:21Speaker 8: And guess what? It's still there. But we will have
- 38:24Speaker 8: victory in the end because we know the last page
- 38:27Speaker 8: of the Bible. And so we know that Jesus will
- 38:30Speaker 8: have victory. And guess what? He doesn't want this content
- 38:33Speaker 8: accessible to children.
- 38:34Speaker 13: No.
- 38:35Speaker 2: You know what's really interesting?
- 38:36Speaker 3: Brandon Gill was one of the keynote speakers here at
- 38:39Speaker 3: the event, Texas Faith Fest that you are also at.
- 38:42Speaker 3: And there's a similarity between the two of you that
- 38:44Speaker 3: I can see in a willingness to use the most
- 38:47Speaker 3: basic version of an argument to demonstrate the problem, which
- 38:52Speaker 3: for you is simply reading a book that's on a
- 38:54Speaker 3: shelf in a school. For him, it's describing abortion and
- 38:57Speaker 3: what it actually is. Why have we gotten to a
- 38:59Speaker 3: place where that's necessary? Why are there so many people
- 39:03Speaker 3: that are blind to the entirety of this? Because I
- 39:06Speaker 3: do think there's a lot of parents who even today,
- 39:08Speaker 3: even with all the work Bonnie Wallace has done, Completely
- 39:10Speaker 3: unaware of still what's going on in the schools.
- 39:13Speaker 2: Why is that happening?
- 39:14Speaker 8: 100% right. There are. And I reference the Bible for everything. Sure.
- 39:20Speaker 8: And so the Bible describes people having scales over their
- 39:24Speaker 8: eyes and being unable to see truth, unable to hear truth. Listen, that's...
- 39:30Speaker 8: what we're dealing with. They see these books. Listen, we
- 39:34Speaker 8: have books that have sex with animals. We have books
- 39:37Speaker 8: that have sex with dead bodies. A brand new one
- 39:39Speaker 8: just got published a few months ago. Sex with Teachers,
- 39:41Speaker 8: two books describe sex with Jesus in graphic detail.
- 39:45Speaker 2: I didn't even know that.
- 39:46Speaker 8: Yeah, we have books. that are prohibited to prisoners in
- 39:50Speaker 8: Texas due to the graphic illegal sex acts.
- 39:53Speaker 6: Wow.
- 39:54Speaker 8: But they're in junior highs and high schools all across
- 39:57Speaker 8: Texas and America, not just Texas. This is not just
- 40:00Speaker 8: a Texas problem, right?
- 40:01Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 40:02Speaker 8: And not just a big city problem, but why can
- 40:06Speaker 8: they not see truth? I think it's because they do
- 40:08Speaker 8: not have Jesus in their hearts. And so until we
- 40:11Speaker 8: have Jesus, we can't see truth. The light comes from
- 40:15Speaker 8: him and him only. And so, um, I speak out.
- 40:20Speaker 3: When you have a parent that hears your message, when
- 40:23Speaker 3: you go to a school and you inform someone, what
- 40:26Speaker 3: is that interaction like for people that come up to
- 40:28Speaker 3: you and say, thank you, Bonnie.
- 40:30Speaker 2: You just told me something I didn't know.
- 40:31Speaker 8: Listen, I give my email to everybody. I give my
- 40:34Speaker 8: cell phone on my card to everybody. I have calls
- 40:38Speaker 8: every single day. And most of them are new people
- 40:41Speaker 8: that have just met me or heard me like at
- 40:44Speaker 8: Faith and Family Fest here. I've given dozens and dozens
- 40:47Speaker 8: of cards. I will have phone calls from these people
- 40:51Speaker 8: wanting to engage. And listen, I get a lot of
- 40:55Speaker 8: bad phone calls, too. But I take them and they
- 40:57Speaker 8: tell me I need to die and I need to
- 41:00Speaker 8: drink Clorox if I really love Jesus. I can go
- 41:02Speaker 8: live with him today.
- 41:03Speaker 11: Wow.
- 41:04Speaker 8: All these nonsense things. But it is important. This battle
- 41:09Speaker 8: is worth fighting for.
- 41:10Speaker 19: And.
- 41:12Speaker 8: If you are living a life where you're not taking
- 41:14Speaker 8: any fiery darts or flaming arrows, you're probably not holding
- 41:18Speaker 8: Jesus's hand.
- 41:19Speaker 2: Fair enough.
- 41:19Speaker 3: You made me feel good about all the angry messages
- 41:21Speaker 3: I get on social media now for a second. Um,
- 41:23Speaker 3: you know, it's interesting as you're talking about this and
- 41:26Speaker 3: as you're saying that you get hate, you strike me
- 41:28Speaker 3: as a very kind person, like sitting down, getting to
- 41:30Speaker 3: talk to you, getting.
- 41:31Speaker 2: To meet you. You're a driven person. You're a person
- 41:33Speaker 2: with a, with a goal, but you're, you're kind.
- 41:35Speaker 3: And I often am sort of floored with the, the
- 41:39Speaker 3: level of, of hate on the other side. Because for
- 41:42Speaker 3: people like you to be told to kill yourself or
- 41:45Speaker 3: that they want to hurt you, that to me is
- 41:47Speaker 3: also kind of mystifying. I know that I might seem
- 41:49Speaker 3: naive in a lot of the questions I'm asking you,
- 41:50Speaker 3: but I can't help it. I don't understand the violence
- 41:54Speaker 3: on the left, and I'd like for you to try
- 41:56Speaker 3: to help me understand that.
- 41:58Speaker 8: You know, that is such a great question, and I'll
- 42:00Speaker 8: tell you why. So many of these books that our
- 42:03Speaker 8: children are now reading, think about it this way. All
- 42:07Speaker 8: of the good literature, the really good literature, has been removed.
- 42:11Speaker 8: The books that are now in our libraries for children
- 42:15Speaker 8: have graphic violence against children. They have, literally, they have
- 42:22Speaker 8: a doctor. There's a book with a doctor walking up
- 42:24Speaker 8: to an infant, twin boy, sticking a needle with serum
- 42:29Speaker 8: into his brain, killing him, and then putting the baby
- 42:32Speaker 8: in a box that's labeled waste, trash, right? And so
- 42:38Speaker 8: we're planting these. demonic, deep, dark seeds into the minds
- 42:41Speaker 8: of our children. And what do we expect? We have
- 42:46Speaker 8: a book series. Get this. We have a book series
- 42:49Speaker 8: called Assassination Classroom. There's 21 volumes. Almost every school has
- 42:54Speaker 8: almost every volume. Every volume has a teacher who brings
- 42:59Speaker 8: a serrated knife or a gun to school to kill
- 43:01Speaker 8: her students. or a student who brings a serrated knife
- 43:05Speaker 8: or a gun to school to kill the teacher and
- 43:07Speaker 8: the fellow students. Why are my tax dollars buying this?
- 43:11Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I can't fathom that.
- 43:13Speaker 3: Let me ask you this, because I'm sort of, again,
- 43:16Speaker 3: intrigued by the way that all this works and the
- 43:18Speaker 3: way that the pushback and everything occurs. How long do
- 43:22Speaker 3: you think this fight will take? Like, for you, you've
- 43:26Speaker 3: been at it for five, six years, I think you said.
- 43:29Speaker 3: In some ways, you probably feel More should have been
- 43:32Speaker 3: done by now, but I think you're having an incredible impact.
- 43:35Speaker 3: So I want to ask you, do you see a
- 43:37Speaker 3: light at the end of the tunnel?
- 43:39Speaker 8: Yeah, that's such a good question. I will tell you
- 43:43Speaker 8: that in the very beginning, I was going to many
- 43:45Speaker 8: school board meetings, maybe 30 or 40 or something, and
- 43:49Speaker 8: I wasn't seeing good consequences, good results. And so I
- 43:54Speaker 8: was walking around in the wilderness one day complaining to God,
- 43:57Speaker 8: like the Israelites, And I was like, why are you
- 44:00Speaker 8: having me do this? I'm not having any consequence. I'm
- 44:03Speaker 8: not having any results. Why am I wasting my time?
- 44:05Speaker 8: It's very embarrassing, you know. It's always just whining and complaining.
- 44:09Speaker 8: And God very clearly said, Bonnie. And it was quiet.
- 44:13Speaker 8: And then Bonnie. And he said, Bonnie, my job is
- 44:18Speaker 8: to convict the heart. Your job is to open the eyes. Because,
- 44:24Speaker 8: you know, I was trying to convict the heart. I
- 44:26Speaker 8: was trying to get the books out. the only way
- 44:28Speaker 8: to get the books out is for the heart to
- 44:30Speaker 8: be convicted that this is wrong. And so when I
- 44:33Speaker 8: learned that my job was only to open eyes, I
- 44:35Speaker 8: was like, okay, God, I can do this. Here I am.
- 44:38Speaker 8: Use me. And so it changed really, it changed my
- 44:41Speaker 8: tactics and it changed my joy because now I can
- 44:44Speaker 8: be joyful even if the books aren't removed. But listen,
- 44:48Speaker 8: God's timing is always perfect. Even when Bonnie's timing is
- 44:51Speaker 8: rushed or, you know, we, we want everything in a hurry.
- 44:53Speaker 1: Yes.
- 44:54Speaker 8: And so, um, God multiplies our efforts. So I think,
- 44:59Speaker 8: you know, Lieutenant Dan podcast, having me on there and
- 45:04Speaker 8: then having the press conference, I think it opened so
- 45:07Speaker 8: many eyes of people that maybe had no idea parents,
- 45:11Speaker 8: even legislators. And so I am just so hopeful that
- 45:14Speaker 8: in the new legislative session, we can get a bill
- 45:17Speaker 8: that has teeth. The bill we got passed last session,
- 45:21Speaker 8: the SB 13, I helped, you know, Angela Paxton, I
- 45:24Speaker 8: guided her on some things that, It really needed, the
- 45:28Speaker 8: first thing it really needed was a penalty for noncompliance.
- 45:31Speaker 8: And she didn't want to put it in because she
- 45:32Speaker 8: really thought that just having a law would be good enough.
- 45:36Speaker 2: But this is- Unfortunately, no.
- 45:39Speaker 8: But unfortunately, no. And this is a battle between good
- 45:42Speaker 8: and evil. Evil doesn't just cede ground. It's not just
- 45:45Speaker 8: going to give up what it's got. And so we
- 45:48Speaker 8: have to have a penalty. It's going to take one
- 45:51Speaker 8: school board, one school district being in trouble- And guess
- 45:55Speaker 8: what will happen? Every other one will get in line
- 45:58Speaker 8: and they will get rid of it. Because I really
- 46:01Speaker 8: feel like so many of them, the school board members,
- 46:03Speaker 8: the superintendents, they just they don't know. They're shocked. And
- 46:07Speaker 8: I go sit down in front of the superintendent and
- 46:09Speaker 8: I say, you know, this book, this book. And he's like,
- 46:11Speaker 8: Miss Wallace, we don't have those books. And I'm like, OK,
- 46:14Speaker 8: let's get on your laptop. Let me show you how
- 46:15Speaker 8: to get into your.
- 46:16Speaker 10: Sure.
- 46:17Speaker 8: And I show him.
- 46:18Speaker 2: You show him what books are in his library. That's amazing.
- 46:20Speaker 8: And they're shocked. But guess what? They call their librarian.
- 46:23Speaker 8: Do we have any bad books? Do we have any
- 46:25Speaker 8: harmful books? Do we have any profane or indecent? And
- 46:27Speaker 8: they say no.
- 46:29Speaker 13: Wow.
- 46:30Speaker 2: Before I let you go, just a couple other questions.
- 46:32Speaker 3: I would like to know how long you've been working
- 46:35Speaker 3: with Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick, because it seems like that's
- 46:38Speaker 3: someone that's been helping you for a bit.
- 46:40Speaker 8: I met the lieutenant governor on May 7th of twenty
- 46:44Speaker 8: twenty two. So Llano County and me got sued on
- 46:48Speaker 8: April 26th of 2022. And we were looking for an
- 46:52Speaker 8: attorney to help us because we're quite a poor county.
- 46:56Speaker 8: We're not a wealthy county. And we're very rural and
- 46:59Speaker 8: very conservative. And I went into the newspaper office that day.
- 47:05Speaker 8: The reason I know the day is because the next
- 47:08Speaker 8: day I was leaving to Israel for six weeks. And
- 47:11Speaker 8: so I had this urgency.
- 47:12Speaker 6: Wow.
- 47:13Speaker 8: And a friend of mine said, will you come to
- 47:14Speaker 8: the newspaper office with me? I'm like, oh, come on.
- 47:17Speaker 8: I didn't want to go, but I didn't tell her,
- 47:19Speaker 8: and so I went with her. And it was God
- 47:22Speaker 8: nudging me. And so Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick was in there.
- 47:25Speaker 8: I said, oh, my gosh, my name's Bonnie Wallace. He
- 47:29Speaker 8: had no idea. I'd never met him. I'd never been
- 47:32Speaker 8: to the Capitol. I'd never done anything political. And yet,
- 47:36Speaker 8: other than vote, I guess people consider that political. But
- 47:39Speaker 8: I had never missed a vote. But I showed him.
- 47:43Speaker 8: That one first picture that I saw.
- 47:45Speaker 5: The best pitching bait.
- 47:45Speaker 8: It really exploded.
- 47:46Speaker 9: Sure.
- 47:47Speaker 8: And he called the attorney general. He said, Ms. Wallace,
- 47:51Speaker 8: I'm so sorry. I'm right in the middle of an interview.
- 47:53Speaker 19: Of course.
- 47:54Speaker 8: And I said, great, I'll talk fast so you can
- 47:56Speaker 8: get up to your interview.
- 47:58Speaker 19: Sure.
- 47:58Speaker 8: And so he called the attorney general. And Ken Paxton
- 48:03Speaker 8: actually petitioned to join. I think it's called enjoin the case.
- 48:07Speaker 1: Wow.
- 48:07Speaker 8: And the federal district judge in Austin, Robert Pittman, would
- 48:10Speaker 8: not allow that. So we had to go it alone.
- 48:13Speaker 8: It cost us over almost a million dollars. But it
- 48:16Speaker 8: was worth it because we had such a victory at
- 48:20Speaker 8: the Fifth Circuit. And listen, we need bold and courageous
- 48:26Speaker 8: politicians to stand against evil when they see it. He's
- 48:31Speaker 8: really been the first one to recognize. And so I'm very, very,
- 48:35Speaker 8: very grateful for him.
- 48:36Speaker 3: For Dan, it sounds like Ken Paxton is another person
- 48:39Speaker 3: that you'd advocate for quite a bit.
- 48:40Speaker 8: A hundred percent, yes. Definitely not Tallarico.
- 48:43Speaker 2: Sure, absolutely not.
- 48:43Speaker 3: My last question for you, and it's something that I
- 48:46Speaker 3: didn't know coming into this event, but I'm learning from
- 48:48Speaker 3: this event. I'm hearing that a lot of younger people,
- 48:51Speaker 3: I'm a millennial, I'm 40. My generation's terrible. I've heard multiple,
- 48:55Speaker 3: and it is.
- 48:55Speaker 2: Not all of them. Not all of them, but enough.
- 48:57Speaker 3: But I've heard the younger generation coming up is better.
- 49:00Speaker 3: There's more open-mindedness, more discussion there. And I wonder if
- 49:04Speaker 3: that's because of people like you. But do you find
- 49:07Speaker 3: that to be true? Are you noticing more 20-somethings that
- 49:11Speaker 3: seem open to some of these conversations or no?
- 49:13Speaker 8: Well, I travel around with Pastor John Amanchukwu, who's a
- 49:17Speaker 8: 41-year-old pastor from North Carolina. and he reads porn to
- 49:22Speaker 8: school boards just like I do. And we were in
- 49:25Speaker 8: Palm Beach last week together. We're going to Colorado Springs
- 49:29Speaker 8: shortly together. And so we can't paint with a broad brush, everybody.
- 49:35Speaker 8: There are very courageous and bold 40-year-olds. Having said that,
- 49:41Speaker 8: I have a 25-year-old daughter who's in medical school, and
- 49:44Speaker 8: she has a group of girl friends, you know, friends
- 49:48Speaker 8: who are female, very, very in love with Jesus and
- 49:53Speaker 8: seeking Jesus. And listen, that's the only solution.
- 49:57Speaker 21: Yes.
- 49:58Speaker 8: That's the only solution. And so I meet people of
- 50:01Speaker 8: all ages, young parents in their 20s, and they have
- 50:05Speaker 8: little babies. And they're like, I want to protect this
- 50:08Speaker 8: child from this content that you're showing me. And so
- 50:12Speaker 8: how do we do that? And they're engaging. They're going
- 50:14Speaker 8: to their school boards. They don't even have a kid
- 50:16Speaker 8: that's in school yet. But my bill, SB 13 with
- 50:19Speaker 8: Angela Paxton, it gave us the right to go and
- 50:22Speaker 8: challenge again. Because the school boards had changed it and
- 50:25Speaker 8: not let a parent who no longer had an active student,
- 50:29Speaker 8: a current student, challenge.
- 50:31Speaker 3: Well, before I let you go, I usually also open
- 50:33Speaker 3: the floor to anything else you'd want to say, anything
- 50:35Speaker 3: else you want to talk about.
- 50:36Speaker 2: You don't have to.
- 50:37Speaker 3: If you feel like we covered enough, that's awesome. But
- 50:39Speaker 3: if there's something that I missed that you'd like to
- 50:40Speaker 3: tell our listeners, the floor is yours.
- 50:42Speaker 8: Yeah, absolutely. Listen, I've been in over 4,000 libraries online.
- 50:47Speaker 8: I have yet to find one clean library. So what
- 50:51Speaker 8: I want your listeners to know is that the content
- 50:54Speaker 8: that I'm talking about, not every book, not every book
- 50:57Speaker 8: is in every school, but every school has books. And
- 51:00Speaker 8: so if you want to engage, they can send me
- 51:03Speaker 8: an email. They can go on to recoveramerica.com. Send me
- 51:06Speaker 8: an email. I will reach out. I'll help them audit
- 51:08Speaker 8: their library. I will help them learn the challenge process.
- 51:11Speaker 8: I'll even come to their school board meeting.
- 51:13Speaker 5: Go, Bonnie.
- 51:14Speaker 8: I am engaged. Listen, I'm not going to stop until
- 51:18Speaker 8: we have no filthy books available to children in America.
- 51:23Speaker 8: Our tax dollars are buying this. And so what are
- 51:26Speaker 8: we going to do about it? We have to stand
- 51:27Speaker 8: to do something, and God will multiply our efforts.
- 51:30Speaker 2: Yeah, it'll be awesome. That is Bonnie Wallace. She's incredible.
- 51:33Speaker 3: There actually is a great, and I think we referenced
- 51:35Speaker 3: it just a little bit, but a great podcast on
- 51:37Speaker 3: Lieutenant Dan, the podcast that Dan Patrick does, Lieutenant Governor
- 51:41Speaker 3: of Texas, of course, and owner of this radio station
- 51:44Speaker 3: that is not telling us at all to talk about this.
- 51:46Speaker 3: There's no information from, I just really like his podcast.
- 51:50Speaker 3: His Bonnie Wallace interview is incredible. And I think it's
- 51:53Speaker 3: getting close to like a million views on its own.
- 51:56Speaker 3: It's getting closer and closer to being as consumed on
- 51:58Speaker 3: social media as as his President Trump interview, which definitely
- 52:03Speaker 3: says something. But I just love that there are people,
- 52:06Speaker 3: and I know she's not alone, Bonnie. I know there's
- 52:08Speaker 3: other people like her that are out there fighting to
- 52:11Speaker 3: try to demonstrate the flaw of the thinking of the left,
- 52:15Speaker 3: because the left can say anything they want. What the
- 52:18Speaker 3: left seems to hate a whole lot is demonstrating the
- 52:21Speaker 3: reality of those thoughts to them. Like, this thing that
- 52:24Speaker 3: you said out loud was a terrible thing, and here's why.
- 52:28Speaker 2: When they see that, they try to run away. They
- 52:30Speaker 2: try to hide.
- 52:31Speaker 3: And so I think Bonnie is doing it the best
- 52:33Speaker 3: way that I've heard anybody is doing this. Show up
- 52:36Speaker 3: at the school board meetings with the books that are
- 52:38Speaker 3: inside the libraries in those schools and read parts of
- 52:42Speaker 3: them out loud and get yelled at for that being
- 52:44Speaker 3: too inappropriate for that venue, which is surreal. Because if
- 52:49Speaker 3: it's inappropriate to be read out loud to the school board,
- 52:52Speaker 3: it probably also isn't appropriate for an underage person a non-adult,
- 52:57Speaker 3: a minor, even in high school, not an adult human,
- 53:00Speaker 3: to be reading from the library where they got the
- 53:02Speaker 3: book at school. That seems to be an obvious one-two jump.
- 53:06Speaker 3: And I don't know why we can't do more of those,
- 53:08Speaker 3: you know? But it seems very often that there's these
- 53:11Speaker 3: one-two jumps in the world of thought and then reality
- 53:15Speaker 3: and politics that the left's like, stop paying attention here!
- 53:18Speaker 3: How dare you listen to any of this? I do
- 53:20Speaker 3: have one more interview that I want to play from FaithFest.com.
- 53:23Speaker 3: that I thought was pretty good as well. So we'll
- 53:25Speaker 3: get to that in the next hour. Vince Colonnades will
- 53:28Speaker 3: be on the show at 8.15. And then the entire
- 53:30Speaker 3: second half hour of our Friday show is dedicated to
- 53:33Speaker 3: a veteran. So we are doing a veteran voice again
- 53:36Speaker 3: today on KSV Mornings, The Voice of Texas.
