Transcript
- 0:06Speaker 1: Oh, I love the intro.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Hello, my loves It is me La La Kent and
- 0:10Speaker 2: we're here with Janet Caperna.
- 0:13Speaker 3: Hello, my love.
- 0:15Speaker 1: By the way, Jane and I have the best time together.
- 0:17Speaker 2: I just have to say this now that we've warmed up,
- 0:19Speaker 2: like no one makes me laugh more than you do.
- 0:23Speaker 2: And when you came to me when you were filming
- 0:26Speaker 2: your first season and we would like bounce off of
- 0:29Speaker 2: each other because sometimes you do go, am I going insane?
- 0:32Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 0:32Speaker 3: Right, If you don't question whether you're going insane, then.
- 0:36Speaker 2: It's a proper And I remember just thinking while you
- 0:41Speaker 2: were talking, I'm like, to me, Janet is logical.
- 0:46Speaker 1: She's got a good head on her shoulders.
- 0:47Speaker 2: You can see that the life she's created is a
- 0:49Speaker 2: testament to like how she works. And so I just
- 0:53Speaker 2: adore you. And the theme of this episode. We also
- 0:56Speaker 2: have Easton, who's part of my life. Yeah, but the
- 0:59Speaker 2: theme of this bonus episode is your pod. So I
- 1:04Speaker 2: didn't know that that would stick so much season eleven
- 1:07Speaker 2: where I said I think of my family and my
- 1:10Speaker 2: group as like a pod of orcas we just add
- 1:13Speaker 2: to it, no one ever leaves, and it stuck like
- 1:17Speaker 2: people literally are like we love, we love you talking
- 1:21Speaker 2: about your pod and sometimes when are you talking about
- 1:23Speaker 2: the podcast or my pod?
- 1:24Speaker 1: And it really is like a pod, right, like a
- 1:27Speaker 1: pod of orcas.
- 1:28Speaker 2: And so I thought that the theme of this because Janet,
- 1:32Speaker 2: you are very much a part of my pod. And
- 1:34Speaker 2: I guess what that word means is people who have
- 1:41Speaker 2: really stuck by your side in really horrible moments. You
- 1:45Speaker 2: may have your ups for a long time, there are
- 1:47Speaker 2: times where it's not so great, but they always come
- 1:50Speaker 2: through for you. And those are the people you've added
- 1:52Speaker 2: to your pod. So I would like to know who
- 1:56Speaker 2: is a part of your pod and do you think
- 1:59Speaker 2: about people who are in it, because maybe at one
- 2:02Speaker 2: point in time it was like they were just an acquaintance,
- 2:05Speaker 2: but then in a make or break moment in your life,
- 2:07Speaker 2: you're like, holy shit, this person showed up and pulled through.
- 2:12Speaker 1: And now, whether you like it or not, you're stuck
- 2:14Speaker 1: with me, bitch.
- 2:15Speaker 3: I would say, first of all, the whole pod mentality
- 2:19Speaker 3: I copied from you. I saw how you've had it,
- 2:23Speaker 3: like working. Sheena, same thing, she has her family, clothes,
- 2:26Speaker 3: she has like a group around her. I am all
- 2:30Speaker 3: for the pod mentality and the pod life. I think
- 2:33Speaker 3: like if I could have a commune house where I
- 2:37Speaker 3: get to build like six houses and we all have
- 2:40Speaker 3: like a garden in the middle, and like that's like
- 2:43Speaker 3: I think that works. Especially when you have a child,
- 2:46Speaker 3: things change. You get a smaller group, Like very quickly
- 2:49Speaker 3: you realize, like, I only have so many hours in
- 2:51Speaker 3: the day. I can't be friends with fifty people, right.
- 2:54Speaker 3: I can have fifty acquaintances and people I see and
- 2:57Speaker 3: that I like, But you really have to concentrate your
- 3:01Speaker 3: time otherwise you're taking away from your kid, and that
- 3:04Speaker 3: can't happen. It's just it's a natural biological, I think
- 3:07Speaker 3: reaction to be like I can't take this time away.
- 3:11Speaker 3: So when I do take time away, who is important
- 3:13Speaker 3: enough to me? I think that's sort of how you
- 3:15Speaker 3: build your pod. You realize, like, these are the people
- 3:18Speaker 3: that I'm willing to take an hour away from my
- 3:20Speaker 3: child to talk to, to go get dinner with all
- 3:24Speaker 3: of that, And I think it's it's just so helpful.
- 3:26Speaker 3: And I think, like raising a child with a pod,
- 3:29Speaker 3: it's like my son has like my mom around, who's
- 3:32Speaker 3: like he adores and she adores him. It's like and
- 3:35Speaker 3: I love seeing that grandparent relationship. The grandparent relationship is
- 3:38Speaker 3: so important to me, Like I grew up so close
- 3:41Speaker 3: to my grandparents. I adored them. They were alive until
- 3:45Speaker 3: I was in my late twenties, Like I treasure that relationship.
- 3:49Speaker 3: So seeing like my son build that relationship with my
- 3:51Speaker 3: mom now, I'm like, this is so awesome. And even
- 3:54Speaker 3: like you know, Jared is a part of our pod.
- 3:56Speaker 3: He was like one of those people who I will say,
- 3:58Speaker 3: like Jared and I cross path a lot. He was
- 4:00Speaker 3: doing makeup for a lot of my friends and I
- 4:02Speaker 3: would see him and he was always fun and fabulous,
- 4:04Speaker 3: but we never really had one on one time until
- 4:07Speaker 3: it was like right around the time Jason and I
- 4:08Speaker 3: were getting engaged, where I was like, Jared's fucking awesome.
- 4:12Speaker 3: I love him, And it was sort of like one
- 4:15Speaker 3: day I was like, you want to come over like tomorrow,
- 4:17Speaker 3: and then we just sort of never stopped hanging out.
- 4:19Speaker 3: And that was somebody where I'm like I just like
- 4:21Speaker 3: plucked him into my pod and I was like, you're
- 4:24Speaker 3: here now, and now he's literally my son's number one
- 4:27Speaker 3: favorite human being.
- 4:28Speaker 1: I love no and he and Jared loves that too.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Like the moment that.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Cam shows up Jared is like out of the cart, like, yeah,
- 4:40Speaker 2: holds on to him. No one gets to hold Cam
- 4:42Speaker 2: because that's their time.
- 4:44Speaker 3: Yeah, they have the best relationship and that's I'm so
- 4:47Speaker 3: grateful for that. And I'm like, Jared's a constant. He
- 4:50Speaker 3: will be a friend and feel like family forever. There's
- 4:52Speaker 3: no breaking us up. He really is my husband. And
- 4:55Speaker 3: Jason and Jared are also extremely close. That's important, so close.
- 4:59Speaker 3: They talk sometimes more than like Jared. Sometimes we'll talk
- 5:02Speaker 3: to Jason more in a day than he will be
- 5:04Speaker 3: like because they talk about movies and I'm not a
- 5:06Speaker 3: movie watcher like stuff like that. But like, Jared's very
- 5:09Speaker 3: much in our pod. Jared's literally babysitting Cameron right now.
- 5:12Speaker 3: My mom's sat back for another week. I was like,
- 5:14Speaker 3: I really want to do law this podcast, but my
- 5:16Speaker 3: mom's not here, and he's like, what are you talking about.
- 5:18Speaker 3: I'll come over and hang out with Cameron. Jason's working
- 5:20Speaker 3: from home, so like Jason will pop out, change diapers
- 5:23Speaker 3: and do like the stuff, and then Jared entertains and
- 5:25Speaker 3: gets to have fun. So yeah, he's very much like
- 5:29Speaker 3: a part of our pod. And it's honestly, if I
- 5:32Speaker 3: could build we built a guesthouse in our backyard for
- 5:35Speaker 3: my mom.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Well I want to talk about that, because your mom
- 5:38Speaker 2: was living in Ohio and he's currently trying to make
- 5:42Speaker 2: the move to Los Angeles.
- 5:44Speaker 3: Yep, so she'll be out here. She's been here pretty
- 5:46Speaker 3: much almost full time since the summer. Yeah, she went.
- 5:50Speaker 3: She's went home for three weeks, like right after we
- 5:52Speaker 3: were finished filming, she went home to get some stuff done.
- 5:55Speaker 3: She's going to be back next week. And like when
- 5:57Speaker 3: she is gone, man, it's rough, like even just I
- 6:01Speaker 3: just like having somebody to do stuff with and talk to.
- 6:03Speaker 3: Like Jason's working during the day, my mom's like, want
- 6:05Speaker 3: to go to this zoo, want to go to this
- 6:07Speaker 3: I'm like, yeah, let's go do something fun. Right, And
- 6:09Speaker 3: then it's not just like me by myself with Cameron
- 6:12Speaker 3: like trying to talk to him all day. It's like
- 6:14Speaker 3: we can go do stuff together.
- 6:16Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:16Speaker 3: So she'll be out here soon and it's the best. Yeah.
- 6:19Speaker 3: We turned our We had an unattached to car garage
- 6:22Speaker 3: that we completely remodeled into being a studio apartment. And
- 6:27Speaker 3: it's honestly when it.
- 6:28Speaker 1: Was done like a little safe.
- 6:30Speaker 4: I got to.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Design it and everything and like pick out all the
- 6:32Speaker 3: tie pick out, the flooring, all that. When it was done,
- 6:35Speaker 3: and my mom was like moving stuff, and I was like,
- 6:36Speaker 3: wait a second, I want to be back here the
- 6:40Speaker 3: main house.
- 6:40Speaker 4: With Jason in the bite.
- 6:42Speaker 3: I'm going to be out here. Come get me when
- 6:44Speaker 3: you No.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Seriously though, and the spot when your mom went back,
- 6:49Speaker 2: I think it was like she was planning on going
- 6:51Speaker 2: back to Ohio. I'm not going to stay home because
- 6:54Speaker 2: this is her now going back to Ohio.
- 6:56Speaker 1: And I told my mom. I was like, I'm worried.
- 6:59Speaker 2: Yeah, because if Claudia goes back to Hoi, Ohio and
- 7:03Speaker 2: is like having some fun with her girls and they're single,
- 7:07Speaker 2: I'm like, what if she doesn't come back now? My
- 7:09Speaker 2: mom said, mark my words, there is nothing like being
- 7:12Speaker 2: around your grand baby.
- 7:14Speaker 1: She will be hauling ass back here.
- 7:16Speaker 2: And not only did she holl ass back here, she
- 7:18Speaker 2: came back earlier than she planned, totally like I.
- 7:21Speaker 3: Would say, so she I was like, you know what
- 7:26Speaker 3: they say, like if you love something, let it go
- 7:28Speaker 3: and come back. She went home for a while and
- 7:31Speaker 3: I was and she had all these plans. My mom's
- 7:33Speaker 3: at every play opening. She's like, Oh, this new restaurant
- 7:35Speaker 3: in town we were at this so she's very social
- 7:38Speaker 3: and I, as a goer, I was worried, like, you know,
- 7:40Speaker 3: my oma has a couple of friends here, mostly your mom.
- 7:42Speaker 3: She has mom, but you know, she has she has
- 7:45Speaker 3: family here, she has her brother here, but like you know,
- 7:47Speaker 3: she has friends that she's had for her entire life
- 7:50Speaker 3: in Ohio.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Right.
- 7:51Speaker 3: So those like three weeks after filming and she went
- 7:53Speaker 3: home for a while, I was like, Okay, this is
- 7:55Speaker 3: when I have to let the bird go and hope
- 7:56Speaker 3: she comes back to me. And after three weeks I
- 7:59Speaker 3: would FaceTime her with Cameron, and I knew that Cameron
- 8:02Speaker 3: was at the age where he was starting to recognize
- 8:04Speaker 3: people and he knew who his people are and then
- 8:06Speaker 3: who strangers are. So when we had FaceTime, he would
- 8:10Speaker 3: and like reach for the phone and get so excited
- 8:12Speaker 3: when he saw my mom's face. My mom was like, oh,
- 8:15Speaker 3: he doesn't miss me. He doesn't know yet they know.
- 8:18Speaker 3: When she came back, he was giggling, reached for her,
- 8:22Speaker 3: was like literally like couldn't contain his excitement. And when
- 8:26Speaker 3: she saw that, she was like, oh my god. He did,
- 8:29Speaker 3: like really he recognized me. And I'm like, yeah, bitch,
- 8:32Speaker 3: you're his grandmother. You know, you spend so much time.
- 8:36Speaker 3: So I think that when she went home she was like, yeah,
- 8:38Speaker 3: I saw all of my friends. We had a great
- 8:40Speaker 3: time and stuff. But I think that trip really cemented
- 8:43Speaker 3: for her that she's like fully ready to come out here.
- 8:46Speaker 1: I always ask my mom.
- 8:47Speaker 2: I'm like, what is it like to be a grandparent,
- 8:50Speaker 2: because I know now how my mom feels about me
- 8:54Speaker 2: and how she feels about Easton. And I know because
- 8:56Speaker 2: I'm a parent, but I always wonder and she goes,
- 9:00Speaker 2: it's wild because it's a completely new love that I
- 9:04Speaker 2: can't explain. And when I tell new moms that, I'm like,
- 9:07Speaker 2: it's a love you can't explain. I now know that
- 9:10Speaker 2: my mom is trying to convey how she feels about Ocean.
- 9:15Speaker 2: And you have a husband, which is what I'm lacking.
- 9:19Speaker 3: So don't have a husband.
- 9:21Speaker 4: You don't.
- 9:22Speaker 2: You don't have a husband, And that's great, that's fine.
- 9:27Speaker 2: I'm so attached to my mom that even thinking about dating,
- 9:30Speaker 2: because she's like, when you find your person, I'll move
- 9:34Speaker 2: in to the back house. And I'm like, hold up,
- 9:37Speaker 2: that can't work because you moving into the back house
- 9:40Speaker 2: then removes Easton, which then removes land.
- 9:43Speaker 3: In and then you guys will never eat again.
- 9:46Speaker 1: We'll never eat again.
- 9:47Speaker 2: But just he's so smart, And I'm like this pod
- 9:50Speaker 2: that now landon is a part of like bringing a dudent.
- 9:53Speaker 2: It almost brings me anxiety because I'm like, they have
- 9:56Speaker 2: to be okay with the way that the pod moves
- 9:59Speaker 2: through the waters because we've got it down, like we've
- 10:01Speaker 2: got our hunting game down, We've got the swimming down.
- 10:04Speaker 2: It would change the whole dynamic of the pod and
- 10:08Speaker 2: I'm not willing to adjust it for a dude. And
- 10:11Speaker 2: my next question is, why would my mama have to
- 10:14Speaker 2: move out? Are you telling me the person that i'm
- 10:16Speaker 2: why would he have to move in here?
- 10:17Speaker 3: No, the right person will come into the pod and
- 10:21Speaker 3: make it better, and it won't be we have to
- 10:24Speaker 3: kick this person and move. The right person will come
- 10:28Speaker 3: into the pod and you'll be like, Wow, my mom
- 10:30Speaker 3: can stay and it's even better, Like my mom and
- 10:33Speaker 3: Jason have the best relationship. Like thre's days where one
- 10:35Speaker 3: of them's driving me insane and I'm like, go to
- 10:38Speaker 3: bitch to the other one and they defend each other.
- 10:41Speaker 3: I'm like, what the fuck is this sucks? Yeah, I
- 10:44Speaker 3: like my mom like I'll be like, oh Jesus knowing me,
- 10:46Speaker 3: he said this or he did this, or he was
- 10:48Speaker 3: late or whatever. My Mom's like, you are lucky to
- 10:50Speaker 3: have him, and I'm like, Mitch, i am your first born,
- 10:53Speaker 3: and be nice to me. Just tell me for one
- 10:56Speaker 3: minute that no.
- 10:57Speaker 1: She remembers when you took the primary vessroom.
- 11:00Speaker 4: She does.
- 11:01Speaker 2: She will never forget Euston. Who's who would you say
- 11:04Speaker 2: is in your pod? That isn't necessarily in mind because
- 11:09Speaker 2: in mind, yeah, Taylor, tap good, tap good? Okay, okay,
- 11:16Speaker 2: Rude Landon, No, Justin Easton always gravitates to the younger brother.
- 11:23Speaker 4: Yeah. Noticed, Yeah, because I'm young at heart in your energy. Yeah,
- 11:28Speaker 4: I feel like I got young energy.
- 11:30Speaker 1: So it's a large pod.
- 11:32Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 11:32Speaker 5: My homies are like, I keep my homies very close.
- 11:35Speaker 5: I talk to him every day. They keep me on
- 11:38Speaker 5: good pass. I convent to them about things that like
- 11:40Speaker 5: if you and Mom pissed me off, I convent to
- 11:42Speaker 5: them and they're like, yeah, that's it, and I'm like,
- 11:45Speaker 5: you're right, that is it, and then I'm fine.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Oh, then I like them.
- 11:47Speaker 5: They can be They're like, you're bitching about that, You're
- 11:51Speaker 5: you got other things coming buddy, and I'm like, you're.
- 11:53Speaker 3: Reasonable, though, that's like a handful of people.
- 11:57Speaker 1: That's a nice sized pot.
- 11:58Speaker 2: That's an orchipod once you get into the dolphins of
- 12:01Speaker 2: it all.
- 12:01Speaker 4: Yeah, but like those are much larger.
- 12:03Speaker 5: Those are only three people. That's true outside because I
- 12:07Speaker 5: view like the Russians is part of.
- 12:09Speaker 1: The pod actually just got large.
- 12:12Speaker 4: So like that's the thing there.
- 12:14Speaker 5: It's I don't know, I'm looking at it as almost
- 12:16Speaker 5: two pods because my pod is my family and the
- 12:19Speaker 5: people that I But then there's this pot over here
- 12:22Speaker 5: of friends that maybe I'm not close.
- 12:23Speaker 4: To, but if you need anything, or if you need
- 12:25Speaker 4: help hunting or swimming, I'll help you out.
- 12:33Speaker 5: Yeah, So like that's how I look at it, and
- 12:35Speaker 5: I feel like my friends are in that same thing.
- 12:37Speaker 5: Like I don't talk to my homies every day. I
- 12:40Speaker 5: could go a year without talking to tap Good, and
- 12:42Speaker 5: if I picked up the phone, it's like we haven't
- 12:44Speaker 5: missed a beat.
- 12:45Speaker 4: And that's how I know it's a pod.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Well, you know that's actually that is super important to have.
- 12:51Speaker 2: And I've noticed that in my life there are moments
- 12:54Speaker 2: And I love that you said this, Jannet, because once
- 12:56Speaker 2: you do become a parent, you realize where you're time
- 13:00Speaker 2: needs to go.
- 13:00Speaker 4: Not even a parent, A lot of people like me,
- 13:02Speaker 4: I'm single, but like, yeah.
- 13:05Speaker 1: The ro of, but not even your father figure, well
- 13:07Speaker 1: thank you.
- 13:08Speaker 5: But even away from that, like work has gotten you
- 13:11Speaker 5: know different, life has just grown, so my time has
- 13:16Speaker 5: shrunk when you're yeah, so like that's the thing, Like Taylor,
- 13:20Speaker 5: all of these people that are in my pod are
- 13:22Speaker 5: in a different state, so usually I don't talk to
- 13:24Speaker 5: them every day, but when I do, it's back to
- 13:28Speaker 5: you know, square one.
- 13:29Speaker 2: I'm not going to tell you how your pod should work.
- 13:32Speaker 2: You know, you seem to be eating just fine, and
- 13:34Speaker 2: that's all that matters. I've noticed that since having Ocean
- 13:39Speaker 2: and then Sosa, there are moments that happen in my life.
- 13:43Speaker 2: And I know that this sounds so shitty, but like
- 13:45Speaker 2: all meet new people, usually through Shina because Shina has
- 13:48Speaker 2: conquered the art of having fifty million best friends. Yes,
- 13:52Speaker 2: and they're always so kind to me. But I'm such
- 13:55Speaker 2: a weirdo because I feel so comfortable where I feel comfortable,
- 13:59Speaker 2: and I think it's because maybe situations that I've been
- 14:02Speaker 2: in my life where people who I trusted the most
- 14:06Speaker 2: did me in a way where I've had a hard time.
- 14:08Speaker 2: I don't want to say recovering because I bounced back scars.
- 14:11Speaker 2: You have scars that you're It leaves yes, it leaves
- 14:14Speaker 2: me wounded, and it leaves me with one eye open
- 14:16Speaker 2: where I used to, you know, kind of just goes
- 14:19Speaker 2: through life and the stakes weren't as high, and now
- 14:21Speaker 2: there's a lot to lose, right there's family on the line,
- 14:25Speaker 2: and I just I keep it really really tight, and
- 14:28Speaker 2: I can't offer certain people like they'll send me these
- 14:31Speaker 2: kind beautiful messages and it takes me weeks to respond.
- 14:37Speaker 2: And it's not because I don't give a shit. I
- 14:39Speaker 2: give a lot of shits, but I'm like, if I
- 14:41Speaker 2: have time for this brand new person, I personally would
- 14:47Speaker 2: much rather take it and put it into your existing God.
- 14:52Speaker 5: I agree, yeah, unless you feel like that person can
- 14:55Speaker 5: add to it.
- 14:55Speaker 4: But that's a feeling that you just get.
- 14:57Speaker 1: That goes off of just plain energy.
- 15:00Speaker 3: And I think the people who burn you in the past,
- 15:02Speaker 3: I mean we've all been burned by somebody that we
- 15:04Speaker 3: thought we could trust. That's a little warning shot and
- 15:08Speaker 3: you take it with you. But then that's one of
- 15:10Speaker 3: those things you like you live and you learn, and
- 15:12Speaker 3: now I'm the same way. If I meet someone new,
- 15:14Speaker 3: it really is going to take somebody very special that
- 15:17Speaker 3: I feel like an innate connection to to like put
- 15:22Speaker 3: more energy into that. Otherwise there's nothing wrong, I think
- 15:25Speaker 3: with just being like, it is so lovely to meet
- 15:27Speaker 3: you and you seem great and everything, like, I'll see
- 15:30Speaker 3: you around.
- 15:31Speaker 1: You know, I love a good I'll see it around.
- 15:33Speaker 3: Yeah, And there are people when I do bump into them,
- 15:36Speaker 3: I'm like, goush, They're so lovely and I wish I
- 15:38Speaker 3: had more time or more space in my life right now,
- 15:41Speaker 3: but I'll just have to see them when I see
- 15:42Speaker 3: them and laugh when I do.
- 15:44Speaker 2: But don't you feel at times like it's so lovely
- 15:48Speaker 2: seeing them? But once you start getting below the surface,
- 15:52Speaker 2: that's when I know I could potentially get hurt. It's like,
- 15:55Speaker 2: let's just stay right here because I enjoy you a lot.
- 15:59Speaker 2: Let's not calm implicate things by like sharing the nitty
- 16:02Speaker 2: gritty of our lives.
- 16:03Speaker 4: Right, We're at a good place. Let's keep it here.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Let's keep it there where the steaks are very low.
- 16:08Speaker 4: You can always seeing you.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Right, Let's not do one on one time.
- 16:12Speaker 2: I'll see you in more of like a get together atmosphere,
- 16:16Speaker 2: because anything beyond that, I'm then commit Oh my god,
- 16:21Speaker 2: I'm I'm scared of commitment.
- 16:22Speaker 1: That's what it is.
- 16:23Speaker 4: Oh my god.
- 16:24Speaker 3: I don't think you are.
- 16:25Speaker 5: I think, oh, I think we are because I was
- 16:28Speaker 5: getting heavy chested when you were talking and I was thinking,
- 16:31Speaker 5: what the fuck's going on?
- 16:32Speaker 4: And it's commitment.
- 16:33Speaker 1: It's the commitment even in friendships.
- 16:36Speaker 4: Plans.
- 16:37Speaker 2: Yeah, but you know what, like with Janet, I could
- 16:39Speaker 2: make plans with you and I never want to cancel.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Do you know how many plans I want to cancel
- 16:43Speaker 2: where I'm like fuck this every single it's because you
- 16:45Speaker 2: like dinner at six thirty.
- 16:47Speaker 3: She's got six thirty. What are we doing late night?
- 16:50Speaker 3: Six thirty? You mean five? I in the last six
- 16:54Speaker 3: months has been five or five thirty.
- 16:55Speaker 4: No, I'm turning into these bitches. They were like, let's
- 16:58Speaker 4: go to do it. We were in Palm Springs and
- 16:59Speaker 4: they were like, let's go to dinner really early. I
- 17:01Speaker 4: was like, yeah, like four thirty. They were like, we
- 17:03Speaker 4: were thinking five. I was like, fuck.
- 17:06Speaker 2: The difference by the way it really does. It does
- 17:08Speaker 2: because you have to account for travel time. And when
- 17:11Speaker 2: I see that we have dinner plans at five o'clock.
- 17:15Speaker 2: I start panicking because I'm like, I can't arrive early
- 17:17Speaker 2: because the restaurant opens it.
- 17:19Speaker 5: Five, No, first one at the door, You're waiting for
- 17:25Speaker 5: the valet to set up.
- 17:26Speaker 2: Yeah there. Do I get a discount because I can't
- 17:31Speaker 2: imagine this is? Or do I have to leave you
- 17:34Speaker 2: that fat tip? Because it's like, no, I'm not the last,
- 17:37Speaker 2: it should be free first one.
- 17:40Speaker 1: But I do. Also, you have to be a part
- 17:42Speaker 1: of the pod.
- 17:43Speaker 2: And there are certain rules, like the gays have conquered
- 17:47Speaker 2: the rules. I'm the daytime human, right, but I knew
- 17:50Speaker 2: the Gaze were right or die when I needed to
- 17:53Speaker 2: abort my relationship and they were like, bitch, where.
- 17:56Speaker 1: Do you need us.
- 17:57Speaker 2: I've got the I've got the white van, Leo's the
- 18:00Speaker 2: black one. Let's throw the ship in the back and
- 18:02Speaker 2: let's haul ask.
- 18:04Speaker 1: They moved. They were the ones.
- 18:05Speaker 2: That made it possible to move what I could of
- 18:08Speaker 2: my life in four hours. Like those motherfuckers didn't play,
- 18:10Speaker 2: and after that moment, I was like, you are stuck
- 18:13Speaker 2: with me for life.
- 18:14Speaker 3: They showed up.
- 18:15Speaker 1: They showed up.
- 18:16Speaker 2: They also know the drill, like they're the ones that go, oh,
- 18:21Speaker 2: we want to go out tonight, but we'll make it
- 18:23Speaker 2: to the Pumpkin Patch with you from four to seven. Well.
- 18:26Speaker 4: I love how they like even talk to you and
- 18:28Speaker 4: treat you like.
- 18:29Speaker 5: Lauren will be like, you're coming over after this, and Logan, honey,
- 18:32Speaker 5: we have planned honey.
- 18:34Speaker 1: No, honey, it is a Thursday night. It is Leo's
- 18:37Speaker 1: night off.
- 18:38Speaker 4: We have to.
- 18:40Speaker 1: This is what they do.
- 18:40Speaker 3: I love hearing their stories about them out.
- 18:44Speaker 1: It's wild.
- 18:45Speaker 3: I live for them going out. If they didn't go out,
- 18:48Speaker 3: I don't I think I would be fully disconnected from
- 18:51Speaker 3: night life and last connection.
- 18:55Speaker 4: If I need to go out, I'm like, I'm just
- 18:56Speaker 4: texting them. I don't know anybody.
- 18:58Speaker 1: No Easton will ask me like, hey, we want to
- 19:00Speaker 1: go to this place.
- 19:01Speaker 2: I'm like, if you think I have any connection in
- 19:02Speaker 2: la I don't know who to call. I don't know
- 19:06Speaker 2: what this bar is or club that you're talking about. Like,
- 19:08Speaker 2: call the gusband.
- 19:10Speaker 4: And they always take care of us. They always how
- 19:13Speaker 4: many people?
- 19:13Speaker 1: What names?
- 19:14Speaker 4: All? Right? See, you know you're the greatest.
- 19:17Speaker 2: I love a good gusband crossover too, because Logan and
- 19:20Speaker 2: Leo and then you throw Jared into the mix. When
- 19:24Speaker 2: you can find gusbands that all get along. It's almost
- 19:27Speaker 2: like entertaining the husband.
- 19:28Speaker 3: Yes, yes, yes, but I feel like husbands are even
- 19:31Speaker 3: more picky. They are way more You can put two
- 19:33Speaker 3: straight dudes together, they'll find a sport to talk about.
- 19:35Speaker 3: Like the gays, they're territorial, like they're like, don't get
- 19:41Speaker 3: them on. I think it's because Jared is mine and
- 19:43Speaker 3: they know they're yours, so they're like, there's no turf
- 19:45Speaker 3: wars here.
- 19:47Speaker 2: I become very I'm territorial of my entire pot. But
- 19:52Speaker 2: when it comes to my gaze, I will cut you.
- 19:56Speaker 2: Like I remember, you know Elaine, Yeah Rattner, who's like
- 20:01Speaker 2: she's fabulous, She's got this fabulous life. And I know
- 20:03Speaker 2: that my gays are fun and I know that most
- 20:06Speaker 2: people want them.
- 20:07Speaker 3: But you steal them.
- 20:08Speaker 2: So apparently something happened where like Elaine had invited them,
- 20:13Speaker 2: invited them somewhere where I was not there to witness, right,
- 20:18Speaker 2: and Sheena came up and overheard and she was like, skirt,
- 20:22Speaker 2: she does. Let me be very clear, like La La
- 20:24Speaker 2: is so protective of Logan and.
- 20:26Speaker 4: Lee's poor gays don't get it go out and party.
- 20:28Speaker 2: Yet Oh I told them, I was like, I'll see
- 20:30Speaker 2: stories and I'm like, who the fuck is this?
- 20:32Speaker 1: So you Tagg, what is this?
- 20:34Speaker 4: Just invite me now gays my husbands?
- 20:37Speaker 1: No, but I do get concerned.
- 20:38Speaker 5: I'm sure walking in the house and she'll be like
- 20:40Speaker 5: the gusbands were in a place I don't know if
- 20:42Speaker 5: I liked them.
- 20:43Speaker 2: Yeah, who are these new faces?
- 20:46Speaker 1: I don't trust this.
- 20:47Speaker 3: I fully get that and agree.
- 20:49Speaker 1: With you, and you know you would get that way
- 20:51Speaker 1: with Jared.
- 20:51Speaker 3: Jared sometimes asks me permission if you can hang out
- 20:54Speaker 3: with certain people, and I'm like, of course you can.
- 20:57Speaker 3: I actually appreciate that you asked me, But this might
- 21:00Speaker 3: be a little bit psychotic that we're at the steep
- 21:02Speaker 3: in our relationship that you're like, am I allowed to
- 21:04Speaker 3: hang out with this like girlfriend?
- 21:06Speaker 4: Like you?
- 21:07Speaker 3: You may per mission granted.
- 21:10Speaker 2: It's like the more fabulous version of Jason, Right, Can
- 21:13Speaker 2: I go out with this other group of friends tonight?
- 21:16Speaker 4: Maybe?
- 21:16Speaker 1: Who is no? But once you find a like la
- 21:20Speaker 1: is a tough spot.
- 21:22Speaker 2: I didn't realize that everybody wanted something until I hit
- 21:28Speaker 2: a certain point in my life where I'm like, wow.
- 21:30Speaker 1: People are messed up in this city.
- 21:32Speaker 2: And I've always been told like new York is a
- 21:36Speaker 2: different kind of vibe and people are straightforward, and I'm like,
- 21:39Speaker 2: La is like that too.
- 21:40Speaker 1: I have a great group of people.
- 21:42Speaker 2: Now I'm looking around, I'm like, so, I have about
- 21:46Speaker 2: four friends who I'm like deep, with Janet being one
- 21:49Speaker 2: of them. And I'm like, is this a me problem?
- 21:53Speaker 2: And I always feel like if you can look in
- 21:55Speaker 2: the mirror and say is this a me problem?
- 21:57Speaker 1: Then you know sometimes it might be.
- 21:59Speaker 2: There are many friend in my life that have gone
- 22:01Speaker 2: south and I go, you know what, I could have
- 22:02Speaker 2: handled that totally differently, but I didn't, and this is
- 22:06Speaker 2: where we are. But there's other people where I'm like, wow,
- 22:10Speaker 2: I had a lot of fat that I had to cut.
- 22:12Speaker 2: It's a little depressing, and I'm like, I really thought
- 22:16Speaker 2: that that person was going to be in the.
- 22:18Speaker 1: Pod for life. Its it's depressed sometimes.
- 22:21Speaker 3: That once you realize though, if somebody's draining your energy
- 22:24Speaker 3: instead of like recharging you, Like when we leave dinner
- 22:27Speaker 3: at five at five forty five am, I'm like recharged.
- 22:31Speaker 3: I'm like, oh, that was so light and nice, and
- 22:33Speaker 3: now I feel like I can go home and like
- 22:34Speaker 3: do my mom's stuff and like I got high time
- 22:36Speaker 3: away to like enjoy myself and then now I can
- 22:39Speaker 3: go back kind of refreshed. But when you leave somebody,
- 22:43Speaker 3: maybe even that you felt like was in your pod,
- 22:44Speaker 3: and you're like, oh, I'm like exhausted and like I'm
- 22:47Speaker 3: feeling stressed and I don't know why. Like that's when
- 22:50Speaker 3: it's time to trim the fat.
- 22:51Speaker 1: I agree with you.
- 22:52Speaker 2: Every time we go and get dinner, whether it's like
- 22:55Speaker 2: you and me and Sheesh, Brittany's like, I always feel
- 22:59Speaker 2: so good leave the dinner.
- 23:00Speaker 3: Yeah, we like just laughed, goofed off, had a great time,
- 23:03Speaker 3: right and like burn some steam and like got girl
- 23:06Speaker 3: talk out. Yeah, when you leave somebody and you're like, oh,
- 23:09Speaker 3: I don't like I feel like ikey, I feel like
- 23:11Speaker 3: we just talked about stuff I don't care about the
- 23:12Speaker 3: whole time, right, And there's a nice way to trim
- 23:15Speaker 3: the fat. Sometimes it's just like I can't offer you
- 23:18Speaker 3: my time right now. And maybe also somebody has a
- 23:21Speaker 3: ton of availability and you don't and they're hey, what
- 23:23Speaker 3: are you doing today? What are you doing today? And
- 23:25Speaker 3: you're like, I'm I'm not an every day hangout kind
- 23:28Speaker 3: of person, Like I need people Like if you say, hey,
- 23:31Speaker 3: you want to get dinner time, like I can't I
- 23:32Speaker 3: have this thing. It's not like I don't feel pressure.
- 23:35Speaker 3: I don't feel like, oh I'm gonna if I don't
- 23:37Speaker 3: go get dinner with her, I'm gonna let her down
- 23:39Speaker 3: or it's gonna change our friendship. It's like, all right, cool,
- 23:41Speaker 3: well let me know when you know. But when people
- 23:44Speaker 3: are like what are you doing today, tomorrow the next day,
- 23:46Speaker 3: and I'm like, oh, I don't have time for this, yeah,
- 23:48Speaker 3: it's like we're not aligned.
- 23:50Speaker 1: I don't I love that. Yeah, we're not in alignment.
- 23:53Speaker 5: If I have to watch, Like if I'm worried about
- 23:56Speaker 5: what I say around somebody, that's how I know it's
- 23:58Speaker 5: fat or bad for that I got to cut off.
- 24:01Speaker 4: Like when I go with my friends, there's no judgment.
- 24:04Speaker 5: Whatever I say, it's either laughed at thrown back in
- 24:08Speaker 5: a funny way that we all do. But like, if
- 24:11Speaker 5: I'm with somebody that I'm worried about, that's how I know.
- 24:14Speaker 4: Ye, I need to cut that bad fruit.
- 24:16Speaker 2: I have a question for you, Tea, huh, because you
- 24:19Speaker 2: are not you're technically not a parent, but you have
- 24:24Speaker 2: and I think this was without your.
- 24:27Speaker 1: Choice being involved in it.
- 24:30Speaker 2: Things that I have done in my life where I
- 24:32Speaker 2: have two kids and I really rely on you and Mom,
- 24:35Speaker 2: And I know Mom's good with it because she's my mom.
- 24:37Speaker 1: But you're my brother, right is it difficult that you have.
- 24:42Speaker 2: To kind of make decisions in your life based upon
- 24:45Speaker 2: the decisions that I made in mind? Like you can't
- 24:49Speaker 2: go and say like I'm going to make a plan
- 24:51Speaker 2: right now because you somewhat have to check and make
- 24:56Speaker 2: sure you're not needed to watch ocean or so say
- 24:59Speaker 2: you don't have to do pay God like he takes
- 25:01Speaker 2: motion to school and picks her up many times.
- 25:04Speaker 5: Yeah, but it's like that's the brightest day of the
- 25:08Speaker 5: brightest moment of my day. Like taking her to school
- 25:10Speaker 5: is like what kicks off an amazing day. And no,
- 25:14Speaker 5: because I worked a nine to five, so like I
- 25:17Speaker 5: was Monday through Friday at work from nine to five,
- 25:21Speaker 5: So working with you it's the same, there's no difference.
- 25:24Speaker 5: It's like, if I were to go and make a
- 25:26Speaker 5: plan today, I would make sure that our business that
- 25:30Speaker 5: me and you attend to I'm not needed. But just
- 25:33Speaker 5: like that nine to five, I was at work all day,
- 25:35Speaker 5: so I couldn't even do anything at three right June,
- 25:38Speaker 5: So if I get to do one thing at that hour.
- 25:40Speaker 5: That is an amazing upgrade from what I came from.
- 25:42Speaker 4: So I don't really feel like I can't do anything
- 25:44Speaker 4: because I can't. I have this schedule.
- 25:46Speaker 5: I can look at you and just be like, hey,
- 25:47Speaker 5: I'm going to get this, this and this done and
- 25:49Speaker 5: go and do this, and that's already a grade above
- 25:52Speaker 5: my job of I got everything done and now I'm
- 25:55Speaker 5: handcuffed to a chair for three hours because I'm an
- 25:58Speaker 5: hourly So there's no like working with you, for you
- 26:03Speaker 5: and with.
- 26:04Speaker 4: Like the pod that we have.
- 26:06Speaker 5: I'm never like I can't do anything that I want
- 26:09Speaker 5: to do because I couldn't when I was in a
- 26:12Speaker 5: nine to five.
- 26:12Speaker 4: So like, I have more freedom than I ever have
- 26:16Speaker 4: with more like.
- 26:19Speaker 5: What's the word I'm looking for structure, no commitment, no
- 26:23Speaker 5: more responsibility, yes, more responsibilities, With more responsibilities, I still
- 26:28Speaker 5: have more time, Okay, So that yeah, I've never thought like,
- 26:31Speaker 5: damn today, I can't do this, my fucking sister thing.
- 26:35Speaker 5: It's like, no, I worked a nine to five. I
- 26:36Speaker 5: know damn well that this was structured. I have more
- 26:40Speaker 5: time than I ever did, right and busier.
- 26:42Speaker 2: Because I always think about that because I structure my life.
- 26:45Speaker 4: I think about that.
- 26:46Speaker 2: Okay, well, I'm a thinker, but I think about like
- 26:51Speaker 2: just I gravitate towards people who are parents because they
- 26:56Speaker 2: kind of understand, and like you said, there is no
- 26:58Speaker 2: pressure because things changed like that one moment you're like, yeah,
- 27:02Speaker 2: let's grab dinner.
- 27:02Speaker 1: Well, the kid's sick.
- 27:04Speaker 2: My kid doesn't want me to leave, and I'm sorry,
- 27:06Speaker 2: like love you, but I'm not leaving my daughter who's
- 27:09Speaker 2: losing her mind.
- 27:10Speaker 3: I know that's the best.
- 27:11Speaker 1: But then I also use them a lot.
- 27:13Speaker 4: Yeah, or we'll have one, and she's like, let's just
- 27:15Speaker 4: use Ocean. I'm like, I can get the text.
- 27:18Speaker 1: Ocean really upset. I never use the sick card because
- 27:22Speaker 1: more afraid.
- 27:23Speaker 4: Of that she gets sick when you lie.
- 27:25Speaker 3: Yeah, that is absolutely I missed the thing you don't want.
- 27:28Speaker 1: To go damn it, one hundred percent.
- 27:31Speaker 4: Karma.
- 27:32Speaker 1: Karma is a bitch.
- 27:34Speaker 2: Do you when you hang out with your friends Easton
- 27:36Speaker 2: look around, you don't think like I do. But I'm like,
- 27:38Speaker 2: Easton is basically a parent, and he's hanging out with
- 27:40Speaker 2: these people who aren't parents, and he's not one as well.
- 27:43Speaker 2: But also sometimes I punt responsibility onto him.
- 27:47Speaker 1: That's very parental.
- 27:48Speaker 5: Well, what's funny is people that I hang out with
- 27:50Speaker 5: are the ones who bring it up to me.
- 27:52Speaker 4: Okay, They're like, yeah, dude, how is it being like
- 27:54Speaker 4: a dad.
- 27:54Speaker 5: I'm like, dude, fucking great, Like I really enjoy it,
- 27:57Speaker 5: And I think I enjoy it because I'm not the dad.
- 28:00Speaker 4: So it's like, whatever fucking happens, happens.
- 28:02Speaker 2: But I'm here, right, you can punt all the responsibility.
- 28:07Speaker 4: I'm like, fuck, find you.
- 28:08Speaker 3: Yeah, totally. I think coming it's interesting too because I
- 28:11Speaker 3: also had like a normal nine to five before this
- 28:15Speaker 3: life and when it's it sucks at the time, but
- 28:17Speaker 3: it really does when you go from being stuck somewhere
- 28:20Speaker 3: forty plus hours a week to then doing something way
- 28:24Speaker 3: more rewarding, like you know, getting to take ocean to school.
- 28:26Speaker 3: The fact that that's part of your like work day.
- 28:28Speaker 3: I'm sure you're like, this is all work. This is
- 28:30Speaker 3: so much fun, like best part of your day. So
- 28:33Speaker 3: it's but it really does train you. When you're so
- 28:36Speaker 3: used to that forty hour work week life. When you
- 28:39Speaker 3: get like an hour in the middle of the day
- 28:41Speaker 3: to do nothing, you really appreciate it more. So I
- 28:44Speaker 3: see how you could like really really appreciate having this
- 28:47Speaker 3: now because when you're.
- 28:48Speaker 2: Stuck in a cubicle or in an office and.
- 28:51Speaker 5: You're and that's the thing, you're done. And I know
- 28:53Speaker 5: a lot of people are gonna relate with this. You're
- 28:56Speaker 5: fucking done, yea everything. But you look at the claw
- 29:00Speaker 5: and you're like, well, they've got me handcuffed here for
- 29:02Speaker 5: three more hours, even though I.
- 29:03Speaker 4: Could leave, Yeah, I to stay. So then you're just
- 29:07Speaker 4: sitting there just scrolling things.
- 29:09Speaker 5: So like that's where I'm gonna say, like, I never
- 29:12Speaker 5: feel handcuffed because of that reason.
- 29:14Speaker 2: Right, So not because your nieces, Well I just love.
- 29:18Speaker 5: That, but no, but shout out to like the everybody
- 29:21Speaker 5: working nine to five.
- 29:22Speaker 2: And then going home and being a parent, Like, oh
- 29:24Speaker 2: my god, yeah, I will say. Ocean does not go
- 29:28Speaker 2: to bed even if I try to put her in,
- 29:30Speaker 2: like bedtime starts, I like try to get her down
