Episode 36 - THE WEEK IN ICELAND: BUDGETS, EVACUATIONS, MOTIONS, MEDIA
Today from The RÚV English Podcast service, a new episode of The Week In Iceland. Darren's guest is Valur Grettisson, former editor of Grapevine magazine (sadly appearing today without superstar dog Pollý). They discuss a week of avalanches, with mercifully no injuries and a slow, hopeful return to normal in the Eastfjords, the unsurprising failure of a no-confidence motion in the Justice Minister, the Government's budget and plans to fight inflation, and the sudden demise of newspaper Fréttablaðið. Today's show plays out with Dots, by Akureyri-based Anton Bark. Email RÚV English any time -…
