- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley. I almost famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Welcome back to almost famous. It's Ben and Lauren back
- 0:09Speaker 2: to breakdown the final episode. Are you sad, Lauren?
- 0:13Speaker 3: I'm kind of sad. I feel like they left us
- 0:15Speaker 3: with like something to be desired.
- 0:18Speaker 2: All right.
- 0:20Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Hear more about that in a second. Final episode of
- 0:23Speaker 2: the real housewives ultimate girls trip roaring 20th. Before we
- 0:27Speaker 2: get into the breakdown, um, You just said, Lauren, that
- 0:31Speaker 2: it left you with something to be desired. Can you
- 0:33Speaker 2: please elaborate?
- 0:36Speaker 3: Well, I guess we did see like some fighting from
- 0:39Speaker 3: the Rhode Islanders towards the end. And they didn't tell
- 0:44Speaker 3: us what they were fighting about. And that was kind
- 0:47Speaker 3: of like leaving me on a cliffhanger. But I guess
- 0:49Speaker 3: that's just supposed to have us watch Rhode Island. Um,
- 0:53Speaker 3: and then they were like, okay, let's pop champagne fireworks
- 0:56Speaker 3: and we're going to go party away. I don't know.
- 0:59Speaker 3: I thought there'd be a little more conclusion with like the, um,
- 1:03Speaker 3: the core group from the girls trip.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Yeah. Like we didn't get that final scene of them. Um,
- 1:10Speaker 2: we did hear from Andy during this episode that he
- 1:16Speaker 2: had heard the trip was going well. I was actually
- 1:19Speaker 2: surprised by it a little bit because I felt like
- 1:21Speaker 2: the trip was not going well for many that were
- 1:24Speaker 2: on the bus.
- 1:25Speaker 3: I guess all things considered in Housewives world, this was heaven. Yeah,
- 1:31Speaker 3: I think this is pretty even keeled. People like Luann
- 1:36Speaker 3: was taking criticism really well, actually, after a drunken night
- 1:40Speaker 3: that we saw. Yeah, I think it was going pretty well,
- 1:43Speaker 3: I think. just enough drama to keep people going. But
- 1:47Speaker 3: I enjoyed watching this season because it was like palatable.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Like it wasn't just full on screaming all the time.
- 1:54Speaker 2: I agree with that. I actually think I, looking back,
- 1:58Speaker 2: learned a lot about the housewives franchise from this. I
- 2:01Speaker 2: learned about my new favorite character on the house. No,
- 2:07Speaker 2: I do like Kyle. It's Chanel, right?
- 2:10Speaker 3: Oh, Chanel, yes.
- 2:11Speaker 2: I think Chanel's, every scene that she's in, it makes
- 2:14Speaker 2: me laugh.
- 2:15Speaker 3: Gold, gold, yes.
- 2:17Speaker 2: She just, I feel like she's a good hang. She's funny.
- 2:20Speaker 2: She's logical. And she's just going to go after. I
- 2:25Speaker 2: think she's hilarious.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Yes, I will concur. And now I watch Housewives of
- 2:30Speaker 3: Dubai because I've never seen that either. She's definitely a
- 2:34Speaker 3: new favorite. Vicky is a new favorite because I love
- 2:38Speaker 3: how she wants to just be in her bed and
- 2:40Speaker 3: warm and cozy. And then obviously we got the OG Luann,
- 2:43Speaker 3: who is still my favorite after, after all of this.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Let's talk a little bit about Luann. This episode does start, um,
- 2:50Speaker 2: with the solution to the cliffhanger from last episode where
- 2:53Speaker 2: she is in the bus. She's late to the bus
- 2:57Speaker 2: and it is brought to her attention that she has
- 2:59Speaker 2: been annoying and is annoying. Most of the people I
- 3:03Speaker 2: found it fascinating that, because you don't usually see this
- 3:05Speaker 2: on television too often. I do think it's something I'm
- 3:09Speaker 2: learning to appreciate about the housewives. They didn't back down.
- 3:13Speaker 2: They said, no, Luann, you have annoyed all of us.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Now let's move forward. How do we, you know that truth.
- 3:21Speaker 2: What do we do about it now? And Luann, as
- 3:23Speaker 2: you said, did respond well.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:25Speaker 3: Yeah. she was like, sorry, I've actually just been having
- 3:29Speaker 3: such a good time that I haven't realized that everyone
- 3:33Speaker 3: isn't like kind of on my level right now. I
- 3:36Speaker 3: feel like she just felt safe with all these girls
- 3:38Speaker 3: was like, we're on vacation. We're having fun. There's drinks.
- 3:41Speaker 3: It's all the way in once. And she thought that
- 3:43Speaker 3: everyone's like just talking and singing all the time too. Um,
- 3:48Speaker 3: but some people need like a breath.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Do you, do you ever find that happens with you
- 3:53Speaker 2: where like, You're in an environment, you're having a blast
- 3:57Speaker 2: and you at some point look back and you're like,
- 4:00Speaker 2: maybe I was not seeing things the way everybody else was.
- 4:04Speaker 3: Yeah, definitely. It's just like overthinking central after a big.
- 4:11Speaker 3: loud get together. So, I mean, it's, it's rare for
- 4:14Speaker 3: me because I'm an overthinker like that, but I definitely
- 4:17Speaker 3: could see how that's happening. Like everyone's having such a
- 4:20Speaker 3: good time. It's like, you're ignoring like the person in
- 4:23Speaker 3: the corner who's like Vicky, who's just like, please, I
- 4:26Speaker 3: need silence.
- 4:28Speaker 2: Yeah. I get that way sometimes. There's a few moments
- 4:31Speaker 2: where it stands out to me where I'll look back
- 4:33Speaker 2: and be like, I read that situation completely inaccurately. And
- 4:39Speaker 2: now I'm the idiot in the room.
- 4:42Speaker 3: I mean, I know that Luann will watch this and see,
- 4:46Speaker 3: especially the Miami trip, I think, where she was at
- 4:49Speaker 3: the dinner table or the lunch table and just spewing,
- 4:53Speaker 3: spewing words, words. And she's like, yeah, that was actually
- 4:56Speaker 3: pretty bad. So she's going to actually have the instant
- 4:58Speaker 3: replay or not instant replay, months replay and see it
- 5:02Speaker 3: firsthand rather than our memories just making this shit up.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Yeah, that's tough. I don't want to shut up on anybody.
- 5:10Speaker 2: I'm actually shocked I ever did TV.
- 5:14Speaker 3: I think about that every day of my life, Ben.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Yeah. How did I do that? Because I beat myself
- 5:20Speaker 2: up over the stupidest of things. And the idea that
- 5:22Speaker 2: I had to watch myself back. How did I not
- 5:24Speaker 2: have an absolute meltdown?
- 5:26Speaker 3: Well, that's why you were so good, though. I mean,
- 5:28Speaker 3: it must have been exhausting being in your head, but
- 5:30Speaker 3: you did play it all very well.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Well, thank you. That does give me peace of mind.
- 5:35Speaker 2: I need to hear that because there'll be many nightmares.
- 5:40Speaker 3: Yes, you wake up like, why did I do that?
- 5:42Speaker 2: Why did I say that?
- 5:43Speaker 3: You can't fall asleep. Do you fall asleep with a
- 5:45Speaker 3: TV on or anything to distract yourself from your thoughts?
- 5:48Speaker 1: No.
- 5:48Speaker 3: Just raw dog it?
- 5:49Speaker 2: No, I just... Just raw dog it.
- 5:51Speaker 3: Okay.
- 5:52Speaker 2: I love that. This means so many different things now,
- 5:55Speaker 2: and it's not what it meant when I was growing up. No. Yeah,
- 6:00Speaker 2: I just raw dog life, really.
- 6:02Speaker 3: That's so great.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Yeah, it's fun. Hey, so the solution with Luann does exist.
- 6:08Speaker 2: I do feel like it's a very special moment, and
- 6:10Speaker 2: it's the moment we kind of all want to see
- 6:11Speaker 2: at the conclusion of this really fun trip. They all
- 6:17Speaker 2: come together. They mention how much they love each other.
- 6:20Speaker 2: And it does set up for what I feel like
- 6:23Speaker 2: is kind of a team coming into this final episode.
- 6:27Speaker 2: They're going to walk into that mansion as a team
- 6:30Speaker 2: in support of each other more than some isolated events.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Before we dive into what actually happens at the mansion
- 6:40Speaker 2: and all the details of who we meet and who's
- 6:42Speaker 2: there and if it's special or not, there is a
- 6:44Speaker 2: very weird scene. That just pops up in the middle
- 6:46Speaker 2: of the show with a guy. Wendy's?
- 6:50Speaker 1: Oh.
- 6:50Speaker 2: What'd you say?
- 6:51Speaker 3: Wendy's?
- 6:52Speaker 2: Going to Wendy's? No, it goes for Wendy's. They paid
- 6:55Speaker 2: a lot of money for that stop.
- 6:56Speaker 3: They paid a lot of money for that stop. Okay, yes.
- 6:58Speaker 2: What guy? So Vicky checks into the hotel. She's exhausted as,
- 7:03Speaker 2: you know what? I get it, Vicky. I'd be too.
- 7:05Speaker 2: All you want to do is go to your room
- 7:06Speaker 2: if you have 45 minutes and just close your eyes,
- 7:08Speaker 2: lay on the bed without anybody talking around you. And
- 7:11Speaker 2: there's this guy that carries her bags up. He's holding
- 7:13Speaker 2: a glass of wine. I watched it three times trying
- 7:16Speaker 2: to figure out if at any point we get clarity
- 7:19Speaker 2: on who this man is. We don't, and then it
- 7:22Speaker 2: never comes back around. It just ends. Who was he?
- 7:26Speaker 2: Was he endangering Vicky? What's his role there? He's in
- 7:29Speaker 2: her room.
- 7:31Speaker 3: I guess there was a collection of fans in the Berkshires,
- 7:36Speaker 3: and they were welcoming them. And it ended up being
- 7:39Speaker 3: like four in the morning, which is weird that they
- 7:40Speaker 3: would stick around. And obviously they were all drinking while
- 7:44Speaker 3: waiting because this man was drunk. I think he was
- 7:47Speaker 3: just a fan. And then Luann was like, do you
- 7:50Speaker 3: want to be funny if you help Vicky with her
- 7:51Speaker 3: bags to her room? And Vicky was unaware of who
- 7:54Speaker 3: he was either. But he was just a fan that
- 7:56Speaker 3: was doing what he was told by Luann. But yeah,
- 7:59Speaker 3: he was not leaving quick enough, though.
- 8:00Speaker 2: No, it was like... You know, we all have had
- 8:05Speaker 2: moments where it's like, hey, it's time for things to depart.
- 8:09Speaker 2: We all move on. It's better. He was lingering.
- 8:13Speaker 3: He was soaking in that Housewives moment with the OG Vicky.
- 8:17Speaker 2: He did get a screen time. So he will watch this.
- 8:19Speaker 2: And I mean, even if he looks odd, he's going
- 8:23Speaker 2: to get a screen time.
- 8:25Speaker 3: And Vicky's like, who are you? I don't know who
- 8:26Speaker 3: you are. Get out of my room. So I think
- 8:28Speaker 3: she was actually, she handled it pretty well because she
- 8:31Speaker 3: was just as confused as us. Love her for that.
- 8:36Speaker 2: I wonder if there was a prompt for the girls
- 8:40Speaker 2: to play pranks on their cast members because Kyle also
- 8:46Speaker 2: pulls a prank then on Portia with the producer hiding
- 8:49Speaker 2: under the bed and grabs Portia's leg because the hotel
- 8:53Speaker 2: they're staying in, the Red Lion Inn, is allegedly haunted.
- 8:57Speaker 2: And so I'm sure this was a play on that.
- 9:02Speaker 2: So they're having fun with each other, I think is
- 9:04Speaker 2: the point. That's nice.
- 9:07Speaker 3: Yeah. Keep it light, everyone. I hope that no one
- 9:10Speaker 3: takes a prank too far. This prank reminded me of
- 9:12Speaker 3: a prank I played on Ashley when we were younger.
- 9:14Speaker 3: I don't know if I've said this, but she was
- 9:16Speaker 3: in seventh grade watching all classic horror movies. And so
- 9:21Speaker 3: she just saw The Exorcist. And I hid under her
- 9:25Speaker 3: bed for like an hour and a half waiting for
- 9:28Speaker 3: her to go to bed. And the second she like
- 9:30Speaker 3: kind of started falling asleep, I like rocked the bed
- 9:33Speaker 3: and she, cause you know, the bed moves in the
- 9:36Speaker 3: exorcist and she flew off. And then I grabbed her
- 9:39Speaker 3: foot from underneath the bed.
- 9:40Speaker 2: It was the funniest.
- 9:42Speaker 3: What did she do? Like my mom said she was
- 9:45Speaker 3: waiting to see her reaction for also the hour and
- 9:47Speaker 3: a half. And she just went white and just, you know,
- 9:50Speaker 3: obviously leaped and screamed. But like, I was like, that
- 9:52Speaker 3: is a very, very uh, perfect prank on Kyle's part because.
- 9:57Speaker 2: It actually get mad at you. Yes. Yes. Yeah.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Very, very mad. And then my mom was like, what
- 10:02Speaker 3: kind of mother am I facilitating this prank to my
- 10:05Speaker 3: young daughter? Anyway, that was funny.
- 10:08Speaker 2: That is, I want to ask Ashley about this. I
- 10:10Speaker 2: want to hear.
- 10:11Speaker 3: Oh yeah.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Um, if she, you know, if she remembers it, she does,
- 10:14Speaker 2: she remembers everything. Yes. The Bluestone Manor is the reason
- 10:30Speaker 2: they're in this area. The final party of the ultimate
- 10:38Speaker 2: girls trip is themed the Gilded Age. Now, who thought
- 10:45Speaker 2: that asking a bunch of housewives to dress like the
- 10:48Speaker 2: Gilded Age was a good idea? I'm not saying these
- 10:51Speaker 2: housewives are very, very intelligent people. That is not what
- 10:54Speaker 2: I'm saying here. But we've learned through this season that
- 10:58Speaker 2: references and historical events are maybe not their expertise. It's
- 11:04Speaker 2: not where they spend their time studying.
- 11:07Speaker 3: All I kept thinking about was Joellen when they asked
- 11:09Speaker 3: her what the 4th of July was about.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:12Speaker 3: I'm like, how is she going to know what the
- 11:13Speaker 3: Gilded Age is?
- 11:15Speaker 1: 100%.
- 11:15Speaker 2: And so I know they're all Googling this. We're definitely
- 11:19Speaker 2: going to get a bunch of fur jackets, which is,
- 11:22Speaker 2: you know, great. Does Ashley own a fur jacket?
- 11:27Speaker 3: Well, she owns a fur jacket, but I don't think
- 11:31Speaker 3: she ever thinks to wear it. She always has this
- 11:34Speaker 3: stupid trench coat-looking thing from Abercrombie that she wears over
- 11:38Speaker 3: formal attire, and it drives me nuts. So I asked
- 11:43Speaker 3: her after watching, I was like, which coat did you bring?
- 11:45Speaker 3: She goes, and I'm waiting for the answer. And she goes,
- 11:48Speaker 3: I think it was the Abercrombie one. I'm like, I'm
- 11:50Speaker 3: going to kill you. Because these women are wearing... the
- 11:54Speaker 3: most extravagant Fox furs ever, which I know is also
- 11:58Speaker 3: a touchy touchy subject, which is probably why she doesn't
- 12:00Speaker 3: wear fur all the time.
- 12:01Speaker 2: Anyway, I don't enjoy the idea of a Fox being
- 12:04Speaker 2: on somebody's head. I love a Fox.
- 12:06Speaker 3: I know. And so every single woman there had a,
- 12:09Speaker 3: had a, a fur jacket on and I just want
- 12:11Speaker 3: her to blend in a little bit. You know, I
- 12:13Speaker 3: want her to not stick out so much by wearing
- 12:15Speaker 3: an Abercrombie trench coat. So it was freezing. It was
- 12:19Speaker 3: freezing there. Yeah. I'm sure a lot of them were
- 12:20Speaker 3: fake too.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Yeah, like just rock a fake fur. It doesn't have
- 12:24Speaker 2: to be real. Nobody's going to be more impressed that
- 12:26Speaker 2: you have alpaca on your back.
- 12:29Speaker 3: Yes.
- 12:30Speaker 2: You can find a fake fur that looks great and
- 12:33Speaker 2: is warm and cozy. Ashley, as we've learned through doing
- 12:37Speaker 2: this with you, doesn't think about her fashion as much
- 12:41Speaker 2: as some of these others.
- 12:42Speaker 3: Absolutely not. But she would want to be warm because
- 12:45Speaker 3: you could literally see the breath.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Interesting note from this party too is there's no food
- 12:51Speaker 2: to be found it looks like through this whole party.
- 12:54Speaker 2: In fact, you know, as I mentioned, one of my
- 12:56Speaker 2: favorite Chanel is commenting on the fact that she's so hungry,
- 12:59Speaker 2: she's going to eat the decorative grapes.
- 13:02Speaker 3: Yeah, that's, it's rude. It's a terrible host. One of
- 13:07Speaker 3: the rules by Dorinda is no food upstairs. Guess what?
- 13:11Speaker 3: No food to be found. You can't even bring the
- 13:13Speaker 3: food upstairs. So maybe she's actually a big stickler and
- 13:17Speaker 3: worried about her home being destroyed that she didn't even
- 13:19Speaker 3: offer food this time.
- 13:21Speaker 2: Well, you obviously and I both know Ashley and we
- 13:24Speaker 2: know that if there's no food somewhere, Ashley does not
- 13:28Speaker 2: do well. She is not one to just like stay
- 13:31Speaker 2: quiet about it. She's going to be going through your
- 13:34Speaker 2: refrigerator if there's no food in the house.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:37Speaker 2: What did she do?
- 13:38Speaker 3: It's so true. This whole party, I was thinking, I
- 13:42Speaker 3: don't know how Ashley's surviving. So much socializing with people
- 13:45Speaker 3: she doesn't know in uncomfortable dresses, not a warm coat.
- 13:51Speaker 3: freezing heels no food it's a nightmare for her i
- 13:57Speaker 3: don't know how she survived but there were hors d'oeuvres
- 14:00Speaker 3: being passed around i'm sure like you know a little
- 14:02Speaker 3: piece of salmon or something isn't gonna keep your belly
- 14:05Speaker 3: full but she obviously had a one-liner in here one
- 14:08Speaker 3: of line was like i never say no to food
- 14:12Speaker 3: or something so there she is being absolutely classic ashley
- 14:15Speaker 3: and what's it Since we're just talking about Ashley, let's
- 14:19Speaker 3: just do the other time we saw her in this
- 14:21Speaker 3: episode and that'll be it.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Okay.
- 14:24Speaker 3: She is introducing herself to Luann. And I'm just like,
- 14:30Speaker 3: can you just be confident and look at Luann? It's
- 14:34Speaker 3: so nice to meet you. I've been watching you for
- 14:36Speaker 3: so long. You're blah, blah, blah. Rather than just be like, hi,
- 14:40Speaker 3: I don't really know what I'm doing here. The double
- 14:43Speaker 3: kiss on each side of the cheek. like the kiss
- 14:46Speaker 3: kiss is like classic Luann. She should have known that
- 14:48Speaker 3: going in to prepare for that. You know?
- 14:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:51Speaker 3: She's just like, wow. Wow. This is just a loud
- 14:54Speaker 3: and crazy. I'm like, they're going to treat you like
- 14:56Speaker 3: you're a child. If you can't just say hello normally,
- 14:59Speaker 3: but I love you. Yeah.
- 15:01Speaker 2: But it's her and Rosie together. They're both doing this.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Rosie is, if you look at that scene again, everybody's
- 15:08Speaker 2: talking amongst each other and Rosie's, Like doing what I
- 15:11Speaker 2: said I did last week where she's repeating herself over
- 15:13Speaker 2: and over until somebody hears what she's actually saying.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Oh.
- 15:17Speaker 2: Because she's nervous. Yes. And she's excited. And she thinks
- 15:21Speaker 2: she has something cool to say that's going to make
- 15:23Speaker 2: her fit in. And so she's just repeating herself. And
- 15:26Speaker 2: it gets really awkward to watch because nobody's paying attention
- 15:29Speaker 2: to her. And they never do.
- 15:31Speaker 3: No one's listening to what anyone's saying, truly. No.
- 15:34Speaker 2: No, it's not just Rosie. It's just that everybody's like
- 15:37Speaker 2: speaking past each other. And she's so excited to meet Luann. Yes.
- 15:41Speaker 2: You have a legit celebrity moment. I've seen this with Ashley.
- 15:48Speaker 2: The one best memory is the first time she met
- 15:51Speaker 2: Lance Bass.
- 15:52Speaker 3: Oh, gosh.
- 15:53Speaker 2: It was one of the funniest interactions I've ever witnessed
- 15:58Speaker 2: with my own eyes is her excitement and her nervousness
- 16:03Speaker 2: and her spewing these random things as fast as she
- 16:07Speaker 2: possibly could.
- 16:08Speaker 3: Uh-huh. Yes. Yes. Like I was in a magazine when
- 16:11Speaker 3: I was little and I had the most posters on
- 16:13Speaker 3: my wall.
- 16:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 16:15Speaker 3: Um, at least like with Lance Bass, she had like
- 16:17Speaker 3: a lineup of, of good things to say. Luann, she's
- 16:19Speaker 3: just like, it's cool to me. Yeah. Well, whatever. We'll
- 16:23Speaker 3: give Ashley some grace there. It was a rough night, rough,
- 16:25Speaker 3: rough night. It's also like a whole bunch of ladies
- 16:28Speaker 3: just like trying to talk over each other. So no
- 16:30Speaker 3: one's having substantial conversation. So you're just trying to make
- 16:33Speaker 3: like a good enough impression.
- 16:35Speaker 2: We really don't see any conversations existing until the Rhode
- 16:39Speaker 2: Island ladies sit down in the parlor room. Honestly, I
- 16:44Speaker 2: am loyal to Rhode Island. It's the only season I've
- 16:48Speaker 2: watched front to back. They really annoyed me during this episode.
- 16:53Speaker 2: Like I did not enjoy who they were at this party.
- 16:58Speaker 2: And I don't know if that's just because they did
- 16:59Speaker 2: feel like outsiders. And so they kind of had to
- 17:01Speaker 2: sit together. And I don't know if any of them
- 17:03Speaker 2: actually really like each other that much. In general, they're
- 17:06Speaker 2: just comfortable seeing another person. But they did... I mean,
- 17:11Speaker 2: they did kind of distract from the party in a
- 17:13Speaker 2: lot of ways.
- 17:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:15Speaker 2: But I think that's kind of what a Housewives party
- 17:17Speaker 2: feels like it is at this point. All season, we've
- 17:19Speaker 2: seen people distract from the party.
- 17:21Speaker 3: So true. So true. I mean, I think it was.
- 17:25Speaker 3: You know, like, they're... their turn to, to argue, I
- 17:28Speaker 3: guess like everyone along the way has already had their
- 17:31Speaker 3: little arguments and it's just cause they're the unknown ones
- 17:34Speaker 3: that it seemed to be even more disruptive. Cause they're like,
- 17:37Speaker 3: we don't even know you. Like, what do you even,
- 17:38Speaker 3: what are you even arguing about? It's like, well, we
- 17:40Speaker 3: just filmed our season and awaiting the reunion. So they
- 17:44Speaker 3: didn't get the re like this was before they filmed
- 17:46Speaker 3: the reunion. So they didn't get to a chance to
- 17:50Speaker 3: hash it out yet. Like this was the first time
- 17:52Speaker 3: to hash it out.
- 17:53Speaker 2: Okay, that makes sense timing-wise.
- 17:55Speaker 3: Yeah, so they haven't seen each other since filming Wrapped,
- 17:57Speaker 3: but not the reunion Wrapped.
- 17:59Speaker 2: Okay.
- 18:00Speaker 3: Yeah, so emotions were strong. And everyone was coming for
- 18:05Speaker 3: Joellen for some reason. We don't really know. She's the Antichrist,
- 18:09Speaker 3: according to Liz. What else did we see? Oh, Rosie
- 18:15Speaker 3: yelling at Kelsey. It was just all classic, but we
- 18:17Speaker 3: don't know what any of it was virtually about.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Yeah, it just was a lot of yelling. It did
- 18:21Speaker 2: feel distracting. Dorinda is hosting this party. And it does
- 18:26Speaker 2: seem at the core of all of this, Dorinda's hope
- 18:29Speaker 2: for this evening is to celebrate 20 years. It does
- 18:33Speaker 2: feel like she wants it to be a celebration and
- 18:35Speaker 2: emotional as they look back on the time together for
- 18:39Speaker 2: the Real Housewives franchise, which helps that Andy Cohen shows up.
- 18:43Speaker 2: It makes sense that he shows up. Once he shows up,
- 18:46Speaker 2: it does feel to me like the vibe in the
- 18:48Speaker 2: house changes. It goes from more of everybody talking over
- 18:52Speaker 2: each other to when Andy at least is in conversation.
- 18:57Speaker 2: People listen.
- 18:59Speaker 3: Yes, you can't piss off Andy. He is the.
- 19:03Speaker 2: Does Andy ever get pissed off? Have we ever seen it? Yeah, yeah.
- 19:07Speaker 3: I think he's a very short fuse. He has his favorites. Um,
- 19:12Speaker 3: it's like almost scary. I'd be very scared to piss
- 19:14Speaker 3: him off. Um, because it's very obvious when, when he
- 19:18Speaker 3: dislikes you or just like something that you said.
- 19:21Speaker 2: So yeah. Interesting. So he's got like this little sass.
- 19:25Speaker 3: So much sass, like scary sass.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Really? I've never seen that yet.
- 19:29Speaker 3: I know.
- 19:30Speaker 1: I think.
- 19:30Speaker 2: Am I completely out of it?
- 19:31Speaker 3: It's like, I think sometimes it happens when I watch
- 19:33Speaker 3: what happens after the show.
- 19:35Speaker 2: Okay.
- 19:36Speaker 3: Um, when he's interviewing, um, certain people and doesn't like
- 19:39Speaker 3: their answers and stuff. It's like kind of like, Like,
- 19:43Speaker 3: you have to know his personality a little bit to, like, notice. Like,
- 19:46Speaker 3: it's not so obvious for the outsider person to understand, but, like...
- 19:50Speaker 3: you can see when he's mad it's like ashley i
- 19:53Speaker 3: think he likes ashley yeah.
- 19:55Speaker 2: Okay and then obviously if we think about this in
- 19:59Speaker 2: detail there are we've mentioned this and now i'm making
- 20:02Speaker 2: sense of it there are our housewives who have been
- 20:04Speaker 2: on the franchise who have left or spoken ill about
- 20:09Speaker 2: the franchise and are never brought up again. You know?
- 20:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 20:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:14Speaker 3: So if he doesn't like you, you're done, you're done,
- 20:17Speaker 3: done out of you.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Couple other questions I need to ask my expert Lauren here. Yeah. Um,
- 20:33Speaker 2: We get a few flashbacks this episode of past scenes.
- 20:37Speaker 2: One of them is including Luanne and Dorinda. And the
- 20:43Speaker 2: whole thing is this insider joke of feeling Giovanni. And
- 20:47Speaker 2: I don't get it. I was lost the whole time.
- 20:50Speaker 3: Okay, so it was intentional that... Dorinda and Luann wore
- 20:55Speaker 3: the same dress from Giovanni because when Luann was doing
- 21:00Speaker 3: her cabaret shows, she got all Giovanni dresses, but only
- 21:04Speaker 3: got Giovanni dresses because Dorinda introduced her to Giovanni. So
- 21:07Speaker 3: she was drunk in the audience. Dorinda was screaming, that's Giovanni,
- 21:12Speaker 3: that's Giovanni, taking like full credit for Luann's like outfits. Also,
- 21:17Speaker 3: fun fact, my boyfriend, made of honor dress at Ash's
- 21:20Speaker 3: wedding was Giovanni. Really?
- 21:23Speaker 2: So it's a good designer. Yes.
- 21:25Speaker 3: It's kind of funny. Cause it's not like the most
- 21:28Speaker 3: like expensive thing of all time. Like if you're having
- 21:30Speaker 3: a big wedding or something, Giovanni would be acceptable. So
- 21:33Speaker 3: I actually clocked that Luann was carrying a Giovanni, um, dress,
- 21:38Speaker 3: a bag, um, getting onto the sprinter van. I was like, Oh, Giovanni,
- 21:43Speaker 3: it's so funny. Like I've actually have a Giovanni dress.
- 21:46Speaker 3: So I felt like in the club. And then this
- 21:49Speaker 3: whole thing happened.
- 21:50Speaker 2: So let me, side note, Lauren, because you have a
- 21:54Speaker 2: Giovanni dress and you wore it for your sister's wedding,
- 21:56Speaker 2: would you ever wear it again for a different event?
- 21:59Speaker 3: No, but I would keep it. Yeah, I mean.
- 22:04Speaker 2: That's why our closet in my house is stocked full
- 22:09Speaker 2: of clothes because that's the mindset.
- 22:12Speaker 3: It's sentimental. So you need to have like a vac
- 22:15Speaker 3: seal there storage bin of dresses that you want to
- 22:19Speaker 3: like pass down to your kids, you know? Cause like,
- 22:22Speaker 3: I'm just keeping, I have a son. What am I doing?
- 22:25Speaker 3: I don't know, but like, I want someone else to
- 22:27Speaker 3: wear it and be like, Oh, she wore that, you know,
- 22:29Speaker 3: to a big event. So, but I would never wear
- 22:31Speaker 3: it again.
- 22:32Speaker 2: Uh, okay. So that helps me make sense of the
- 22:37Speaker 2: Giovanni moment. Uh, I did mention Andy Cohen does show up, uh,
- 22:41Speaker 2: to bluestone manor, everybody in the room, seems to be
- 22:45Speaker 2: very excited to see him. He gives a very special
- 22:47Speaker 2: toast in celebration of the women who have done this franchise.
- 22:52Speaker 2: And I don't think it's lost on any viewer, or
- 22:55Speaker 2: us especially, that filming The Housewives is a very difficult process.
- 22:59Speaker 2: You are opening your life up to criticism and praise
- 23:05Speaker 2: and exposure that most of the world never has to
- 23:11Speaker 2: open up to. But They've done it, and they've done
- 23:15Speaker 2: it successfully for 20 seasons. And we obviously started this
- 23:21Speaker 2: show in support of their newest season, or their newest show,
- 23:26Speaker 2: which is The Road to Highland, Housewives. But we now
- 23:30Speaker 2: know a housewife. There's only 200 of them, Andy says,
- 23:34Speaker 2: in the world. but there's many housewives that are existing
- 23:38Speaker 2: out there amongst us.
- 23:41Speaker 1: Yes.
- 23:41Speaker 3: So true.
- 23:42Speaker 2: It's so true.
- 23:43Speaker 3: He welcomes Ashley and Rosie into the club, or I
- 23:47Speaker 3: guess he welcomes all the new cast. And it's just like,
- 23:49Speaker 3: what else can you say other than like, wow, this
- 23:51Speaker 3: is so crazy. So crazy. Thank you so much. So crazy.
- 23:54Speaker 3: Like there's no words to Andy Cohen being like, welcome
- 23:57Speaker 3: to the club. It's, it is just so crazy.
- 24:01Speaker 2: As we close up this breakdown of this episode specifically,
- 24:05Speaker 2: what else stood out to you during this episode that
- 24:08Speaker 2: I think we should touch on?
- 24:12Speaker 3: Let me think about it. We did see Heather and Lisa.
- 24:19Speaker 2: Oh yes.
- 24:20Speaker 3: This is what I wanted to bring up. Heather and
- 24:22Speaker 3: Lisa talking, talking to Andy or Andy was actually just
- 24:28Speaker 3: standing in between them while they were talking essentially. Um,
- 24:32Speaker 3: and Heather called Lisa, like, I can't remember the word
- 24:37Speaker 3: she said, like phony or something or, or, and then she,
- 24:41Speaker 3: and then Lisa goes, I had Charlie XCX in my
- 24:45Speaker 3: dressing room. You think I'm phony? It's like, well, I
- 24:50Speaker 3: pause it and I go in what world does one
- 24:53Speaker 3: have to the other? like at her lounge, she had
- 24:56Speaker 3: her at her lounge. So she just needed us. She
- 24:59Speaker 3: was like, how can I fit in that? I know
- 25:03Speaker 3: Charlie XCX, or I was in the same room as
- 25:06Speaker 3: this girl. And she took the opportunity then and no
- 25:09Speaker 3: one even addressed it. I thought that would be a
- 25:10Speaker 3: great opportunity for someone to make fun of her. And
- 25:12Speaker 3: no one made fun of her.
- 25:15Speaker 2: That was big.
- 25:16Speaker 3: And then also another thing is I saw the Wendy's thing.
- 25:20Speaker 3: And now I know Lisa does a lot of ads
- 25:21Speaker 3: for Wendy's. Um, but Wendy's, she, she did an interview
- 25:27Speaker 3: and she was, they're like, how many times do you
- 25:28Speaker 3: actually eat Wendy's? And she goes three times a day,
- 25:33Speaker 3: three times a day. She's at Wendy's three separate times.
- 25:35Speaker 3: And they're like, okay, well, what do you get?
- 25:36Speaker 2: What do you get?
- 25:36Speaker 3: What do you get? I'm like, you're a liar, Lisa.
- 25:38Speaker 3: You're a liar. And now I'm certain of it. No,
- 25:41Speaker 3: one's going to Wendy's three times a day.
- 25:44Speaker 2: Nobody's going to Wendy's three times a day and looking
- 25:47Speaker 2: like you do. Yes.
- 25:48Speaker 3: Yes.
- 25:49Speaker 1: Yes.
- 25:50Speaker 3: Like, okay, sure, maybe you go three times a day
- 25:52Speaker 3: for a Diet Coke. That's not it.
- 25:54Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. For a Diet Coke, great. But you're not
- 25:57Speaker 2: eating the spicy chicken with a side of fries and
- 25:59Speaker 2: dipping it in that Frosty like I am.
- 26:02Speaker 1: No, no.
- 26:03Speaker 2: That's what I like.
- 26:04Speaker 3: Great order, great order.
- 26:05Speaker 2: Thank you. Thank you very much. What about you?
- 26:08Speaker 3: Anything else?
- 26:09Speaker 2: I just think it was a good celebration. The fireworks
- 26:11Speaker 2: were a great touch. I'm with you where I would
- 26:13Speaker 2: have loved to see the cast that we followed this
- 26:15Speaker 2: whole season maybe in one last scene. talking and amongst
- 26:19Speaker 2: each other as they send each other back off to
- 26:21Speaker 2: their respective homes. But we didn't get to see that.
- 26:24Speaker 2: But I do think this, what this whole thing in
- 26:27Speaker 2: closing Lauren did for me, it made me believe that
- 26:33Speaker 2: the housewives are in a really good spot. Not only
- 26:36Speaker 2: with the send off to the start of a new
- 26:39Speaker 2: season of the real housewives of New York, but also
- 26:41Speaker 2: we have Rhode Island. And then I got to meet
- 26:43Speaker 2: my favorite Chanel and, who's doing Dubai that we now
- 26:46Speaker 2: need to tune into. It just, I'm not that curious
- 26:49Speaker 2: about Utah because it just feels like it's too much
- 26:52Speaker 2: drama for me. Oh, Dubai is over. I'll go back.
- 26:56Speaker 3: You can still go back.
- 26:57Speaker 2: I'll go back.
- 26:58Speaker 3: Chanel back there.
- 26:59Speaker 2: Yeah. Isn't that what we all do? We just go
- 27:01Speaker 2: back and watch past seasons.
- 27:02Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 27:03Speaker 2: That's it. That's exactly what.
- 27:05Speaker 3: Yeah. No Utah for me either. For some reason, I
- 27:07Speaker 3: have no desire to watch Utah. I'm sorry. It just
- 27:10Speaker 3: seems too convoluted at this point. I don't have the energy.
- 27:13Speaker 2: Yeah, it's not really my thing. I don't really want
- 27:15Speaker 2: to watch people yelling at each other the whole time.
- 27:18Speaker 2: I mean, Housewives, or Rhode Island's kind of like that,
- 27:22Speaker 2: but then we get to watch Ashley, who's our little,
- 27:24Speaker 2: you know, light in the... Yeah, glimmer of hope. So yeah,
- 27:28Speaker 2: it just seems like the Housewives is in a really
- 27:30Speaker 2: good spot, and it's cool to see 20 years celebrated. Selfishly,
- 27:36Speaker 2: I would love to see The Bachelor do something like this.
- 27:39Speaker 2: You know? Yeah. It's been a long time since I've
- 27:43Speaker 2: felt connected. And I'm sure there's reasons.
- 27:48Speaker 3: Well, you have a cruise coming up.
- 27:51Speaker 2: Yeah. Let's celebrate there.
- 27:53Speaker 3: Let's just do that. We'll make it nice, right? Making
- 27:57Speaker 3: it nice. I love their ending celebration. I'm like, who
- 28:01Speaker 3: uses their own quote as like the final cheers, but
- 28:04Speaker 3: make it nice.
- 28:05Speaker 2: Make it nice. And we'll make it nice here. Hey,
- 28:08Speaker 2: if you've loved listening to the ultimate girls trip with

- 28:31Speaker 2: choose next. Hopefully it is Rhode Island. This doesn't mean
- 28:35Speaker 2: Lauren's going anywhere. it doesn't mean that I'm going anywhere.

- 29:15Speaker 2: That's going to be good.
- 29:16Speaker 3: That's fun.
- 29:17Speaker 2: Yeah. There's a lot of talk in there.
- 29:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 29:20Speaker 2: About how he was the most promiscuous bachelor of all time.
- 29:24Speaker 3: I would have never thought that.
- 29:26Speaker 2: No, come on. Sweet. Our sweet Bob. I know. All right.
- 29:29Speaker 3: Well, I'll watch along with you.
- 29:31Speaker 2: Thanks, Lauren. Appreciate it. Hey, you're great. Well, uh, We'll

- 29:40Speaker 2: gets confirmed, has it been confirmed yet?
- 29:41Speaker 3: Yeah, it's definitely confirmed.
- 29:43Speaker 2: Um, you don't know who's on it, but we'll be
- 29:46Speaker 2: talking about it.
- 29:47Speaker 3: Right. Filming's confirmed. Cool stuff's happening. Some drama's already gone down.
- 29:52Speaker 3: So excited to watch it. Um, whenever that does come out.
