- 0:00All right. Well, we're in Genesis chapter 12,
- 0:03and I'm here in Genesis 12 because in my devotions
- 0:09this morning, the Lord scrapped the message that
- 0:13I was going to preach, which was on prayer. I
- 0:16was going to finish our prayer and fasting teaching
- 0:20on prayer and fasting. Imagine that. Because
- 0:26God has been speaking to me and showing me things
- 0:28throughout this week, and I was going to relay
- 0:31those to you. I will hold that message from Acts
- 0:38chapter 6 and different places in the Word of
- 0:40God that call the church to prayer. Let me just
- 0:44give one point from that message. I believe that
- 0:48the single greatest verse for the church today
- 0:54is in Matthew chapter 6. And it's right before
- 0:59Jesus teaches us the Lord's Prayer. And He says
- 1:05this, and what the Father sees in secret, He
- 1:11will reward openly. And Jesus is calling all
- 1:21of us To personal, private, secret prayer. Now
- 1:29I love what happens when we gather because gathering
- 1:32is key as well. And it's part of the word that
- 1:38we gather together often. But that personal,
- 1:43private, secret place prayer, by and large, by
- 1:49believers, is neglected. And the Lord is calling
- 1:56you and I to personal prayer time. And so I'm
- 2:03going to preach that message at a later date.
- 2:10Take that and run with it. Meditate in Matthew
- 2:136. There's a lot in Matthew 6, but the portion
- 2:17on prayer. Say, God, help me apply this to my
- 2:20life. Because discipleship is not about just
- 2:24knowing that Matthew 6 is in there and that the
- 2:26Lord's Prayer is there. Discipleship is about
- 2:30actually applying it to your life and doing it.
- 2:36Amen? Disciples do. Amen? Amen. Now, this morning
- 2:46early, I was reading, and a series of scriptures
- 2:52just flooded my heart. And I noticed this morning
- 2:56as we were praying that the sign that many of
- 3:01you flock to, in fact, there were more people
- 3:03at this sign during that five or seven minutes
- 3:07of prayer, there were more people at this sign
- 3:10than any other sign. What sign do you think it
- 3:12was? Family. The sign right down here. Family.
- 3:18And God began to speak to me this morning from
- 3:24this passage about family. Now this is the call.
- 3:29At this point his name is Abram. It was later
- 3:32changed to Abraham. Father Abraham. How many
- 3:35of you have heard of Father Abraham? And so he
- 3:39is the first patriarch of the nation of Israel.
- 3:44The people of Israel. God made a covenant with
- 3:49Abraham. Abram at this point. And in Genesis
- 3:54chapter 12, this is what the Lord spoke to Abram.
- 3:59Get out of your country, from your family, and
- 4:04from your father's house. And go to a land that
- 4:11I will show you. I will make you a great nation.
- 4:17I will bless you and make your name great. I
- 4:23will bless those who bless you and I will curse
- 4:27him who curses you. And in you, all the families
- 4:32of the earth shall be blessed. I want to read
- 4:38that last line one more time. And in you, all
- 4:42the families of the earth shall be blessed. Hallelujah.
- 4:48Now this covenant that God made with Abram, so
- 4:52what did Abram do? So Abram departed and he went
- 4:55just as the Lord had commanded and he obeyed
- 4:58God. And because he obeyed God, God did what
- 5:03he said he would do. Now, just as a side note,
- 5:08our blessing of the nation of Israel is important.
- 5:14It does not mean that everything that Israel
- 5:18does is right. It does not mean that every decision
- 5:22that Netanyahu and the people of Israel make
- 5:26is godly or good. It doesn't mean that. It doesn't
- 5:33mean that you have to personally agree with everything
- 5:36that the nation of Israel does. But the nation
- 5:41of Israel is God's chosen people. And the greatest
- 5:45blessing of Israel, the gift that God gave to
- 5:49us, as we're going to see as I preach through
- 5:50this message, is that our Messiah, Jesus, came
- 5:55through the nation of Israel. And so God gave
- 6:01Abram a blessing. At this point, he was childless.
- 6:04He had no children of his own. And God showed
- 6:09him, spoke to him, In you, all the families of
- 6:15the earth shall be blessed. Now, how many of
- 6:19you are part of a family? Now, your family might
- 6:27be, it just might be messed up. Some of you are
- 6:38laughing because if you don't laugh, you'll cry.
- 6:46Our families can get crazy. Our families can
- 6:56be broken. You are part of a family that you
- 7:06did not choose. I didn't choose my mom and dad.
- 7:16You didn't choose yours. I didn't choose my brothers
- 7:21and sisters. I have one sister. Sister. I didn't
- 7:27choose them. The only one I chose that's in my
- 7:31family is my wife. We wanted children, but we
- 7:39didn't even choose them. God chose them. God
- 7:44gave us kids. We don't choose the family that
- 7:51we're a part of. And for some of you, when I
- 7:55say that word family, it just automatically brings
- 7:58a lot of pain because it's messed up. The promise
- 8:07is still for your family. And in you, all the
- 8:18families of the earth shall be blessed. Hallelujah.
- 8:26Hallelujah. Are you with me so far? All the families
- 8:32of the earth shall be blessed. Three other times,
- 8:38God spoke a similar promise to Abraham. he substituted
- 8:45the word family with nations. Three other times
- 8:50God met with Abraham and said, in you all the
- 8:53nations of the earth shall be blessed. There
- 8:56was another time when God met with Abraham's
- 9:00grandson, Jacob, in a dream. And God spoke to
- 9:07Jacob in Genesis 28, 14 and said the same thing.
- 9:13And said, also your descendants shall be as the
- 9:16dust of the earth. You shall spread abroad to
- 9:19the west and the east, to the north and the south.
- 9:21And in you and in your seed, all the families
- 9:27of the earth shall be blessed. Hallelujah. And
- 9:33so there's this promise. All the families of
- 9:37the earth shall be blessed. We need to be convinced
- 9:44of this. That God wants to bless my family. You
- 9:52need to be convinced of that. I need to be convinced
- 9:55of that. That God wants to bless my family. And
- 10:01so let's all say that together. God wants to
- 10:05bless my family. There are several stories in
- 10:10the Scriptures where God does not just bless
- 10:13individuals, but where God blesses entire families.
- 10:19And I began to think about that this morning,
- 10:22where God blessed Zacchaeus. And you remember
- 10:27when Jesus came, if you know the story where
- 10:30Jesus came to Zacchaeus, Zacchaeus was notable
- 10:34in the New Testament because he was a short man
- 10:37and he could not see through the crowd. And so
- 10:40he climbed a tree so that he could see Jesus
- 10:44in the crowd. And Jesus saw Zacchaeus climb the
- 10:48tree just so he could see him. And Jesus made
- 10:52a beeline for Zacchaeus and said, I'm coming
- 10:55to you. house. And the Bible says in Luke 19,
- 11:009, that salvation has come to you, that salvation
- 11:05has come to your house. I love that. I love that.
- 11:12Later on in the book of Acts, after Jesus had
- 11:17ascended and Peter was given a dream by God,
- 11:26that he was not supposed to call unclean that
- 11:31which God had made clean. And then he was led
- 11:35to the household of Cornelius. And Cornelius,
- 11:42the unique thing about Cornelius is that he was
- 11:44not from the land of Israel. He was not a Jew.
- 11:48He was a Gentile like most of us in the room.
- 11:52And normally, Peter never would have... even
- 11:56talked to a Gentile, but God wanted to break
- 12:00down the wall between Jews and Gentiles, because
- 12:04salvation was not just for Jews. Salvation was
- 12:07also for Gentiles. And so Peter preached the
- 12:11message. Everybody that was there, which was
- 12:14Cornelius's family, Cornelius's servants, all
- 12:19the people that worked in Cornelius's house,
- 12:22everybody that was there gave the their life
- 12:25to Jesus, got filled with the Holy Spirit, and
- 12:30Peter was stunned that God would love the Gentiles
- 12:34too. And Cornelius and his whole household came
- 12:41to God. Wouldn't it be awesome if your whole
- 12:45household came to the Lord? Wouldn't it be awesome
- 12:50if your whole household came to the Lord? Now,
- 12:54there's one more that I want to turn to in Acts
- 12:57chapter 16. If you can turn there. Now, Paul,
- 13:02in Acts 16, Paul and Silas were put in jail for
- 13:09preaching the word, which is common today around
- 13:14the world. We live in a bubble called America.
- 13:17But around the world, people are being jailed
- 13:20and killed for their faith in Jesus Christ, even
- 13:23today. Paul and Silas were jailed for preaching
- 13:28the good news of Jesus Christ. And verse 25,
- 13:35let's pick it up there. At midnight they were
- 13:38praying and singing hymns to God and the prisoners
- 13:42were listening to them and suddenly there was
- 13:45a great earthquake so that the foundation of
- 13:48the prison were shaken and immediately all the
- 13:52doors were opened and everyone's chains were
- 13:55loosed and the keeper of the prison, awakening
- 14:01from sleep and seeing the prison doors opened,
- 14:07Supposing the prisoners had fled, drew his sword,
- 14:13and was about to kill himself. Because he knew
- 14:17what would happen to him if his bosses found
- 14:24out that the prisoners escaped on his watch.
- 14:28He would be tortured and killed. But Paul called
- 14:33with a loud voice. Saying, do yourself no harm
- 14:39for we are all here. Can I just say another aside
- 14:47here for a moment? Just because a door opens
- 14:52doesn't mean you should walk through it. The
- 15:05angel opened up the door. But Paul and Silas
- 15:11had a check in their heart. No. We've got to
- 15:17stay right here. And the prison guard woke up,
- 15:23was about to kill himself, and Paul screamed
- 15:26out, don't do it. We are all here. I just find
- 15:33this story stunning. And the prison guard called
- 15:38for a light, ran in and fell down trembling before
- 15:42Paul and Silas. He brought them out. Now they
- 15:46can walk through the door. He brought them out
- 15:49and said, sirs, what must I do to be saved? What
- 15:56must I do to give my life to the Lord? You've
- 15:59got something that I need and I want what you
- 16:03have. So they said to him, believe on the Lord
- 16:07Jesus Christ and you will be saved, you and your
- 16:13household. They spoke the word of the Lord to
- 16:17him and to all who were in his house. And he
- 16:20took them the same hour of the night and washed
- 16:23their stripes. And so now this guard that had
- 16:26participated in beating them, that had participated
- 16:29in putting them in the prison, now he's washing
- 16:33their wounds and bringing healing to them. Salvation
- 16:37has come to his house. And immediately he...
- 16:41and all his family were baptized. Isn't that
- 16:54an awesome story? God wants every single one
- 16:59of your family members to be saved. I've got
- 17:03family members that are not saved. Most of you.
- 17:09have family members that are not saved. Most
- 17:12of you, your salvation did not happen like this.
- 17:17You came alone. But God wants to bless entire
- 17:24families. I believe there are families out there,
- 17:29families out there that need the Lord, that are
- 17:36ripe. When Peter preached the first message,
- 17:47they asked the same question, what must we do?
- 17:53And Peter said, repent and let every one of you
- 17:55be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ
- 17:58for the remission of sin and you shall receive
- 18:02the gift of the Holy Spirit for the promise is
- 18:06to you, your children, and to all who are afar
- 18:16off, as many as the Lord our God will call. You
- 18:27see, the blessing of Abraham was fulfilled in
- 18:31Jesus Christ, where salvation would be open to
- 18:36every family. God is in the business of turning
- 18:45around families. So what should I do, Pastor?
- 18:56The first thing that you need to do is this.
- 19:02Follow Jesus with your whole heart, even if your
- 19:06family does not. I want to read a tough scripture
- 19:13now. Matthew 10, verse 34. Jesus said this, Do
- 19:24not think that I came to bring peace on the earth.
- 19:28I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For
- 19:32I have come to set a man against his father,
- 19:36a daughter against her mother, a daughter -in
- 19:40-law against her mother -in -law, and a man's
- 19:43enemies will be those of his own household. He
- 19:48who loves father or mother more than me is not
- 19:51worthy of me. He who loves son or daughter more
- 19:55than me is not worthy of me. He who does not
- 19:59take his cross and follow after me is not worthy
- 20:03of me. He who finds his life will lose it, but
- 20:06he who loses his life for my sake will find it.
- 20:11This is a tough scripture. What Jesus was saying
- 20:16is that he has got to have first place in your
- 20:21life. And again, around the world, In fact, in
- 20:28the religion of Islam, if one converts to Christianity,
- 20:33they are cut off from their family. Well, do
- 20:39you think that it's God's will for that person
- 20:42to come to Christ? Absolutely. Islam is a demonic
- 20:48religion leading people astray. The fastest growing
- 20:55religion in America right now. Drawing people
- 20:59away from God. And Jesus said this, you might
- 21:05have to pay a high price to follow me. But if
- 21:10you will pay the price, God will begin to work.
- 21:15And he will begin to move. Friend, the best thing
- 21:19that you can do for your family, even if your
- 21:22family does not understand you, even if they
- 21:25don't get it, even if they don't see, the best
- 21:28thing that you can do is follow Jesus with your
- 21:32whole heart, even if your family does not. Hallelujah.
- 21:37Hallelujah. I have seen again and again and again
- 21:41couples Backslide together. And so I believe
- 21:51that God wants couples to walk together in unity.
- 21:53Amen? I believe that God wants couples to be
- 21:57one in Christ. Hallelujah. But I'm telling you
- 22:01this. I said this a couple of months ago and
- 22:04I'll say it again today. That if I stray from
- 22:07Jesus, my wife is not going to follow me. And
- 22:11if she strays from Jesus, I am not going to follow
- 22:15her. I am not going to use my family as an excuse
- 22:20to stray from God. I have a son right now that
- 22:25we're believing for God to get a hold of his
- 22:28heart and get a hold of his life. We love him
- 22:31incredibly. But I will not compromise the truth
- 22:36of God's word for my son. I cannot do that. I
- 22:47cannot do that. The best thing that you can do
- 22:52is without compromise, devote your life wholly
- 23:00to Jesus. The second thing that you need to do
- 23:08is kind of like it. And that is this. Get rid
- 23:16of that secret sin. Go with me to Acts chapter
- 23:223. And Peter and John are preaching. Peter again.
- 23:31And they had just seen the man at the gate beautiful
- 23:34healed. And they were explaining what had happened
- 23:40at that healing. May the church have to explain
- 23:43healing again as God does incredible things in
- 23:48our midst. And listen to what Peter says in verse
- 23:5219. Repent therefore and be converted that your
- 23:56sins might be blotted out so that times of refreshing
- 24:00might come from the Lord, from the presence of
- 24:04the Lord. And that he might send Jesus Christ
- 24:08who was preached to you before. whom heaven must
- 24:12receive until the times of restoration of all
- 24:17things, which God has spoken by the mouth of
- 24:20his holy prophets since the world began. And
- 24:25then he goes on, and then verse 25 says, you
- 24:31are sons of the prophets, and the covenant which
- 24:35God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham,
- 24:41this is where the message comes full circle,
- 24:44saying to Abraham, and in your seed, all the
- 24:50families of the earth shall be blessed. To you
- 24:56first, God having raised up His servant Jesus,
- 25:01sent Him to bless you in turning every one of
- 25:08you From your iniquities. Turning every one of
- 25:19you from your iniquities. So the blessing of
- 25:25God. Is opposed. To that secret sin. And that
- 25:33secret sin. Is opposed. To the blessing of God.
- 25:42Jesus wants to bless your family. But you've
- 25:47got to get rid of that secret sin. Jesus didn't
- 25:53die on the cross so that you could continue in
- 25:58your sin and just be forgiven every Sunday and
- 26:05live. Continue to live however you want. He shed
- 26:12his blood on Calvary not only to forgive you,
- 26:15but to set you free from it. So that it no longer
- 26:22has dominion in your life. We've got to confess
- 26:28that thing. And we've got to get it out of our
- 26:33heart. The greatest harm a father brings to a
- 26:40family is when he refuses to turn from secret
- 26:44sin. But the greatest blessing a father gives
- 26:48to his family is when he humbles himself before
- 26:53the Lord and says, God, I'm following you with
- 26:57my whole heart. And please, it's not about perfection.
- 27:02Because I've been walking with Jesus for 39 years.
- 27:06This summer it will be 40 years that I've been
- 27:09walking with Jesus. And last week, last week,
- 27:16God brought conviction to my heart about a sin.
- 27:25And I'll tell you what it was. I read of a pastor
- 27:33who had fallen. And was removed from the ministry.
- 27:39And in the back of my heart, I was feeling good
- 27:45about myself. Because I've not done that. And
- 27:53the Holy Spirit convicted me of that wickedness.
- 28:01Because it's not because of my own goodness that
- 28:04I am what I am. It is only because of the grace
- 28:09of God. And I had to confess that thing before
- 28:14the Lord. The greatest thing I can do for my
- 28:18family, for my church family, is to walk uprightly.
- 28:24And it doesn't mean perfection, but it does mean
- 28:27this. To respond to the conviction of the Holy
- 28:31Spirit. And it means that I am walking with Christ.
- 28:38And so I repented of that thing and I said, God,
- 28:41forgive me. Wash me and cleanse me. And get that
- 28:47thing out of my heart. Peter. Coupled the blessing
- 28:55that God spoke to Abraham with repentance from
- 29:01iniquity. And I want to call. Not because you're
- 29:10bad or I'm bad. You know, the Holy Spirit doesn't
- 29:13convict me of those things because I'm bad. He
- 29:16convicts me of those things because He wants
- 29:19to make me more like Jesus. And so I don't say
- 29:24that, I don't preach this part of the message
- 29:27to declare people that are bad and I want them
- 29:31to feel horrible. No, I want you to feel drawn
- 29:35to the Lord and to say, God, God, have your way
- 29:42in my heart and in my life. Amen. God, I'm doing
- 29:52my best to follow you. I know I've got a long
- 29:55way to go. But God, I want you to have your way
- 30:00in my life. And when you convict me, and when
- 30:04you speak to my heart, I want to respond. A teachable
- 30:08and moldable heart. If you want the blessing
- 30:11of God to come on your family, have a teachable
- 30:15and moldable heart. Hallelujah. Glory to God.
- 30:24And then the third thing is from Malachi chapter
- 30:284. Malachi chapter 4. And this is the last verse
- 30:39of the Old Testament before Jesus came on the
- 30:43scene, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. It's about
- 30:46300 years. between Malachi and the coming of
- 30:49Jesus. And this is what Malachi prophesied in
- 30:56verse 5 of Malachi 4. Behold, I will send you
- 31:01Elijah the prophet. That was John the Baptist.
- 31:06Before the coming of the great and dreadful day
- 31:09of the Lord, this is the judgment of God. And
- 31:13he will turn the hearts of the fathers. to the
- 31:17children, and the hearts of the children to their
- 31:23fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with
- 31:29a curse. Do you know when we are praying for
- 31:33end time harvest, I believe that many people
- 31:36are about to come into the kingdom of God. I
- 31:39believe that many people are going to turn to
- 31:41Jesus for salvation. And some of you are seeing
- 31:45that in your lives. You know of people who are
- 31:47getting hungry for God. Hallelujah. I talked
- 31:52with a young man yesterday who has known his
- 31:57whole life that God has been knocking on the
- 32:00door of his heart and is saying, I'm trying to
- 32:04respond to God in my life. And there are many
- 32:09people that are like that. And they don't really
- 32:12know what to do, but God is knocking on the door
- 32:15of their heart. One thing that happens when you
- 32:19meet the Lord is that your heart turns to your
- 32:24heavenly Father. And the book of Romans chapter
- 32:298 says that when you come to Christ, that your
- 32:33heart will cry out, Abba. Father. And in response
- 32:40to that, as your heart turns to your heavenly
- 32:44Father, guess what happens? Your heart begins
- 32:49to turn in a new way to your family. Where before
- 32:58you could only think evil about your family,
- 33:01but now your heart is getting healed. God is
- 33:06healing all the hurt and the pain of your past,
- 33:10and now you're suddenly having thoughts that
- 33:13you didn't have before of affection and love
- 33:16for your family. It is not always natural for
- 33:26the hearts of children to turn to their fathers.
- 33:31It's not natural because of what that father
- 33:35might represent. But can I tell you this? It's
- 33:40supernatural. It doesn't mean that you're agreeing
- 33:45with everything that your father does. It doesn't
- 33:47mean that you like everything your father represents.
- 33:50It doesn't mean that you appreciate the past
- 33:54that you've had in your life. You might have
- 33:57walked through some hard things, but you have
- 34:00a heavenly father that is healing your heart.
- 34:04And you're beginning to have different emotions
- 34:07and different affections. And you're beginning
- 34:11to forgive people in your family. Woo! The heart
- 34:21of the father who's been separated from his kids.
- 34:28My kids have cut me off. And part of it might
- 34:33be my own heart. Oh, but... You've given your
- 34:38life to Jesus. And your father has begun to heal
- 34:45you. And you're beginning to repent of your own
- 34:49iniquity towards your kids. And you're starting
- 34:55to have feelings again. That you didn't have
- 35:02before. And your heart. Is turning towards your
- 35:09sons and daughters. Do you know what this is?
- 35:16This is revival. This is the moving of God's
- 35:24spirit. And you begin to pray differently. And
- 35:32you begin to say, God, I don't deserve it. But
- 35:36would you give me a relationship with my kids
- 35:39again? Would you give me an opportunity because
- 35:46there's no way they'll listen to me right now?
- 35:51But would you somehow open the door for us to
- 35:59just even talk again? And the hearts of the fathers
- 36:08turn to the children. And the hearts of the children
- 36:16turn to the fathers. And God heals a family.
- 36:28This is what he does. I believe in 2026. that
- 36:36some of your families are going to turn around.
- 36:42I believe that in this year, some of your kids,
- 36:46God is going to answer your prayer. I believe
- 36:55that God is going to move mightily in our messed
- 37:02up families. I want to close with a verse I've
- 37:11been meditating in. I shared it at the funeral
- 37:13for Catherine's sister yesterday, the celebration
- 37:17of life. And I want to close with 1 Peter 4 and
- 37:24verse 7. And I want you to think about society.
- 37:31I want you to think about what's been happening
- 37:33in the news, in Minneapolis. In Portland, in
- 37:39hard places. It has been crazy, hasn't it? And
- 37:48then we hear the words of Peter. 1 Peter 4, 7.
- 37:53But the end of all things is at hand. How many
- 37:59of you can sense that? The end of all things
- 38:03is at hand. And so then he gives some instruction.
- 38:07What should we do now that we know that, now
- 38:09that we see that? We're reading the end of all
- 38:12things in the news every day. Therefore, be serious
- 38:18and watchful in your prayers. And then verse
- 38:238. And above all things. Everybody say all things.
- 38:31Above all things. Have fervent love for one another.
- 38:40For love will cover a multitude of sins. Whoo!
- 38:49Hallelujah. Do you know what the news is trying
- 38:54to steal from you? Your love for people. Do you
- 39:01know how the world responds right now? If you
- 39:05don't agree with me, get out of my life. That's
- 39:11what the world does. Friends, that's not Jesus.
- 39:16They do that to their own families. If you don't
- 39:20agree with me, get out of my life. That's not
- 39:25the response of the believer. You be careful.
- 39:30You be careful as you watch the news. You be
- 39:34careful that you filter it well because if you
- 39:38don't, it will harden your heart. It will harden
- 39:42your heart and you will not be able to love people
- 39:46that do not agree with you. But Peter... commands
- 39:53us, Peter's in my message a lot, and here's in
- 39:55his letter that he's written here, 1 Peter chapter
- 39:584 and verse 7, he commands us that in these end
- 40:03times, we need to do something above everything,
- 40:07and that is this, guard our ability to love one
- 40:12another. Guard our ability to love one another.
- 40:17What did Jesus say? They will know that you are
- 40:20my disciples because you go to church on Sunday.
- 40:29No. Now that's important, but that's not what
- 40:32Jesus said. They will know you are my disciples
- 40:37because you sing so beautifully. They will know
- 40:43that you are my disciples because you love one
- 40:49another. Love one another. If your relationship
- 40:58to God does not affect the people around you,
- 41:04what are we doing? For your family member just
- 41:23might cover a multitude of sins. Just might cause
- 41:29them to want what you have. Just might bring
- 41:36them near. Hallelujah. We have a prayer wall
- 41:43back here in the corner. You see if you turn
- 41:46your head and look, you see things stuck to it.
- 41:50Those are prayer requests from people in our
- 41:54church. We call that our prayer circle, that
- 41:57carpet back there. My wife posted a prayer need
- 42:02on there. Last night I was back there just praying
- 42:05over the needs in this body. You can write the
- 42:11name of your family member on a card, and they're
- 42:16going to get prayed over. You can write a need
- 42:23on that card. In fact, Kathy's going to be back
- 42:25there after the service to help you if you want
- 42:29a card and you want to write down a prayer need.
- 42:32You can do that. The body will be praying for
- 42:35you. God spoke to Abraham and said, in you all
- 42:44the families of the earth will be blessed. And
- 42:50I want to remind God of that every day as I pray
- 42:56over my sons and daughters, as I allow Him to
- 43:00work in me. Have your way, God. That's why I
- 43:08sang that song this morning because I knew what
- 43:10I would be preaching about. That song said that...
- 43:19The enemy has no authority in my family. Because
- 43:27God has designed my family for blessing. Amen?
- 43:37Amen. How many of you would say, I want this
- 43:44to be a part of my family? Just lift up your
- 43:49hand. Oh, come on. I feel like God wants to do
- 43:59something right now. Most of you raised your
- 44:03hand. Because you know the hidden parts of your
- 44:12family that you won't tell anybody. And you want
- 44:18God to do a work. You know that you can't straighten
- 44:23it out because if you could, it would be straightened
- 44:26out already. You need God to do it. You need
- 44:35God to do it. There's Goliaths in your family.
- 44:39You need God to help you slay. David didn't do
- 44:43that on his own. He came in the name of the Lord
- 44:47God of Israel. There's healing in brokenness.
- 44:59And here's what I want you to stand for. Don't
- 45:02stand yet. Here's what I want you to stand for.
- 45:08If you have a conviction in your heart, that
- 45:14God really will work in your family. I want you
- 45:22to take a moment. I don't want you to just respond.
- 45:24I want you to take a moment. And if you have
- 45:28a conviction that in 2026, God will really work
- 45:33in my family, then I want you to respond by standing.
- 45:43In faith. Because this is not an empty promise.
- 45:55This is the whole reason Jesus came. To bring
- 46:01families near to him. Sons and daughters, moms
- 46:05and dads. All of it. Healing. And restoration.
- 46:16He is working. He is moving. Hallelujah. Father,
- 46:23I just ask that you would put faith in the hearts
- 46:28of your people. Grandparents. Believing for their
- 46:33grandsons and granddaughters. People here believing
- 46:41for their moms and dads. People here believing
- 46:48for their sons and daughters and spouses. God,
- 46:57I am declaring over this house that 2026 is a
- 47:03year of healing for the family. Blessing for
- 47:09the family. In Jesus' mighty name.
