- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Benn and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with i R Radio. Hello everyone, welcome to the Almost
- 0:08Speaker 1: Famous podcast. And today it's a really special day because
- 0:13Speaker 1: it's quite possibly the last podcast better than I do together.
- 0:18Speaker 1: As he is a nonmarried man whoa married. You're gonna
- 0:25Speaker 1: be married possibly next time we do this. Yeah, so
- 0:29Speaker 1: I am going to get married. Um, but I don't
- 0:32Speaker 1: know if I'll be able to be here next week
- 0:33Speaker 1: or not, because I think my flight is during our
- 0:36Speaker 1: recording time to I'm actually going to New York City
- 0:39Speaker 1: to open up a dark coffee shop there for a
- 0:41Speaker 1: grand opening, and then flying from there to Nashville. I
- 0:44Speaker 1: didn't know that you're opening a generous shop in New York. Yeah, soho,
- 0:48Speaker 1: we got it. It's in the good market. Yeah. You
- 0:51Speaker 1: what a huge week. That's insane. Yeah, it's great. Um,
- 0:55Speaker 1: I'm so pumped. So there's so many cool things happening.
- 0:57Speaker 1: But I could be I'm gonna be getting married. And
- 0:59Speaker 1: when you say that, I feel like and I was
- 1:02Speaker 1: telling just this last night, we were talking like I
- 1:04Speaker 1: feel like I should be like feeling anxious or nervous.
- 1:09Speaker 1: I don't know how you felt, Ashley. Um, but I'm
- 1:11Speaker 1: anxious or nervous, just stressed about like the day going
- 1:14Speaker 1: according to plan. Yeah, I think that's it for me.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Is like I just really you know, we have the
- 1:19Speaker 1: whole team from FETE Nashville and um Jessica's mom and
- 1:23Speaker 1: my mom and Jessica. I will put myself into that,
- 1:26Speaker 1: but I haven't done as much as what they have
- 1:30Speaker 1: have virtually hard on making this wedding something that's gonna
- 1:32Speaker 1: be really fun. Like we wanted to be a celebration.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Your wedding was a celebration, Like we wanted to be
- 1:37Speaker 1: something that everybody came and enjoyed and like and like
- 1:41Speaker 1: walked away going wow, Like we felt like love was
- 1:44Speaker 1: being celebrated in that moment. I really want that to happen.
- 1:46Speaker 1: I think I'm more nervous or anxious for that. I
- 1:49Speaker 1: am so at peace with the wedding thing like it is.
- 1:54Speaker 1: It's almost oddly non emotional for me. I thought, I
- 2:00Speaker 1: completely kind of late. Yeah, I I hate to say that,
- 2:04Speaker 1: because like I'm like, oh, I always saw my like
- 2:05Speaker 1: gleaning up to my wedding, there would be this like
- 2:08Speaker 1: like almost like I can't hardly like breathe, and I don't.
- 2:11Speaker 1: But like I'm like, no, this feels awesome. Like I'm
- 2:13Speaker 1: this is great, this is cool. We're gonna get married
- 2:16Speaker 1: and it's gonna be great. Is just doing like all
- 2:20Speaker 1: the last minute things like what is on her plate
- 2:24Speaker 1: right now? Um, she's doing everything from you know, she
- 2:27Speaker 1: just went and got her hair practiced. Um, why she's
- 2:30Speaker 1: gonna wear it for the wedding. Um she did her
- 2:33Speaker 1: final dress fitting. Um she is starting to I think
- 2:38Speaker 1: this afternoon she took work off to start to pack
- 2:41Speaker 1: and to prep um for everything that's going on there.
- 2:45Speaker 1: And then it's it's like a checklist of small things
- 2:47Speaker 1: that she has to do when she gets to Nashville,
- 2:49Speaker 1: and so just random little things. I I was in
- 2:53Speaker 1: charge of two things actually, the liquor um for the wedding,
- 2:57Speaker 1: which is good, the heaters for the wedding just in
- 2:59Speaker 1: case it's a little chili. And then my groomsman and
- 3:03Speaker 1: I asked Jessica, so I think her wedding starts at
- 3:05Speaker 1: like five o'clock? You think I it's like four thirty
- 3:11Speaker 1: or five. It's one of those two. And I was like, hey, hunt,
- 3:14Speaker 1: oh it's at four great, perfect, Well I was an
- 3:19Speaker 1: hour off. I'll be there. Um, but I was asking
- 3:22Speaker 1: her last night. I was like, Hey, when should I
- 3:24Speaker 1: get my groomsmen to the venue to get ready? And
- 3:27Speaker 1: she's like, I don't know, what do you need to do.
- 3:28Speaker 1: I was like, well, we're gonna take pictures beforehand. She's like, yeah,
- 3:31Speaker 1: Chicelein will take get dressed. I was like ten minutes.
- 3:35Speaker 1: She's like, okay, we'll get him there like two hours
- 3:37Speaker 1: in advance. I was like, well, I want him there longer.
- 3:38Speaker 1: I want to be kicking it with him that day.
- 3:40Speaker 1: So I'm just gonna get him there for like brunch
- 3:41Speaker 1: to hang out and watch football, while like Jesse's you know,
- 3:45Speaker 1: bridesmaid have to be there at the crack of dawn,
- 3:48Speaker 1: um doing their deal. It's great for me, I'm living
- 3:50Speaker 1: the dream. Jared loved hanging out with his groomsmen before
- 3:56Speaker 1: that was like one of the very special parts of
- 3:58Speaker 1: the day. I actually wanted to be ah and I
- 4:00Speaker 1: was kind of like a weird bride. I was like, oh,
- 4:01Speaker 1: my mom, the wedding planner, and my sister, they can
- 4:05Speaker 1: be in the room, but like I just wanted like
- 4:06Speaker 1: a sense of peace and calm and just not like
- 4:09Speaker 1: to be surrounded by like a whole bunch of like
- 4:12Speaker 1: bipping girls do I all love very much? But I
- 4:16Speaker 1: was like, I just know myself and I I don't
- 4:18Speaker 1: want to get like, I don't want to put unnecessary
- 4:21Speaker 1: stress on me, holy everybody analyzing like what I look
- 4:25Speaker 1: like and my every little flick of makeup and all that.
- 4:29Speaker 1: I've got two questions for you. Are you guys writing
- 4:32Speaker 1: your own vows or will they be traditional? Jared and
- 4:35Speaker 1: I did both. We did the traditional vows and we
- 4:37Speaker 1: wrote her on I'm gonna write We're gonna write our own. Um.
- 4:40Speaker 1: I actually like the idea of doing both. Maybe we'll
- 4:42Speaker 1: mix that incause I haven't thought about that, but I
- 4:46Speaker 1: have a lot I want to say to her, uh
- 4:48Speaker 1: in front of everybody, and I think she feels similar,
- 4:53Speaker 1: and so I wanted that moment. You know. The way
- 4:57Speaker 1: the way we view this is like, this is definitely
- 4:59Speaker 1: like our special day, but it's a day to also
- 5:02Speaker 1: celebrate the people that are gonna be in that room
- 5:04Speaker 1: with us, because like we we feel very thankful that
- 5:07Speaker 1: we have these people in our lives, and so I
- 5:10Speaker 1: want them to We wanted them to be involved in
- 5:13Speaker 1: that and hear what was coming from our heart. Um.
- 5:16Speaker 1: But I like the idea of doing both, you know,
- 5:18Speaker 1: this week and I'm not to change the subject because
- 5:21Speaker 1: this is such an amazing thing. And tomorrow we have
- 5:24Speaker 1: People magazine coming to the house in Denver and we're
- 5:27Speaker 1: into our photo shoot and they're they're covering the wedding,
- 5:31Speaker 1: which is just like so cool for us, uh to cool, right, Yeah,
- 5:34Speaker 1: Like you get to tell your kids that you're what
- 5:36Speaker 1: I have People Magazine. That was like our sealing the deal. Um.
- 5:43Speaker 1: And so they come like our kids are gonna be
- 5:45Speaker 1: like a wait, why Yeah, they're gonna be They're not
- 5:48Speaker 1: going to think I'm cool, and that's fine. Um, but
- 5:51Speaker 1: they come to myorrow and so we're really excited for that.
- 5:54Speaker 1: But um, this last week, you know, I missed last
- 5:56Speaker 1: week's podcast because I was in a wedding UM for
- 5:59Speaker 1: my best friend who who I talked about, who has
- 6:01Speaker 1: a LS and they did their own vows and it's
- 6:05Speaker 1: really hard for him right now to speak UM, and
- 6:09Speaker 1: I lost it. And I lost it for a couple
- 6:11Speaker 1: of reasons. One, it's hard, like it sucks, like you
- 6:13Speaker 1: see your best friend that you love dearly, um struggling
- 6:16Speaker 1: to get words out and you know, having to pause
- 6:19Speaker 1: to catch his breath and like that whole thing is
- 6:22Speaker 1: is brutal to see. But also there was this level
- 6:25Speaker 1: two when since we're talking about the vows to where
- 6:28Speaker 1: like he was able to share you know, he he
- 6:31Speaker 1: had like a line in there like when you met me,
- 6:33Speaker 1: this wasn't the plan um and this illnesses came came
- 6:37Speaker 1: about as we were together. But I also don't want
- 6:40Speaker 1: to go through this with anybody else, and I lost it,
- 6:42Speaker 1: like absolutely lost it, and I just like I want
- 6:45Speaker 1: that from my wedding because everybody in the audience heard
- 6:48Speaker 1: where they were at in life and knew the commitment
- 6:50Speaker 1: they were both through making to each other in that moment.
- 6:52Speaker 1: And for me, I was like, this is why we're
- 6:54Speaker 1: doing our own vows, because this touches something more personal
- 6:58Speaker 1: than than anything that is maybe you know, traditional or
- 7:01Speaker 1: written up already. I completely agree. I wanted traditional just
- 7:06Speaker 1: because I'm a traditionalist, but then I wanted to write
- 7:09Speaker 1: them because I also it's just like at this point,
- 7:11Speaker 1: traditional sometimes feels like, oh, you know, we've heard the
- 7:15Speaker 1: cizillion times, yeah, and it's not Yeah, it's obviously not
- 7:18Speaker 1: personal with us anyway, Wait, how old is he? He
- 7:22Speaker 1: is thirty five and how long has he had it?
- 7:27Speaker 1: He was just diagnosed a month and a half ago. Um,
- 7:29Speaker 1: but he's just the guy that you thought had lime disease. Yeah,
- 7:33Speaker 1: same guy. So you know, they thought, oh my god,
- 7:36Speaker 1: I'm so sorry. Yeah. So he was living with me,
- 7:39Speaker 1: um when he started to lose his speech, and I
- 7:43Speaker 1: was like, dude, why like why do you stumble your
- 7:45Speaker 1: words at night? Like we just had like one beer,
- 7:47Speaker 1: Like what's going are you? Like have you been drinking?
- 7:50Speaker 1: Like are you super sad? Like are you drinking alone
- 7:51Speaker 1: at night? Like I'm here to drink with you as
- 7:53Speaker 1: much as you need to get through, you know, his
- 7:55Speaker 1: life at that point, and um, he's like no, I
- 7:58Speaker 1: don't know why. I don't know what's going on. And um,
- 8:01Speaker 1: they diagnosed with him lime and they actually say that
- 8:04Speaker 1: lime disease can spark if you have like the A
- 8:06Speaker 1: L S gene or whatever it is in your body,
- 8:08Speaker 1: the trauma of a of lime can spark that to
- 8:11Speaker 1: happen faster. So they think maybe that he had both. Um.
- 8:16Speaker 1: So right after this, right after this, we are like
- 8:18Speaker 1: we are full advocacy mode, like we were talking to
- 8:21Speaker 1: every single group of people out there, and that's I
- 8:23Speaker 1: actually just got a message from an almost famous listener today.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Her name is Amanda. I won't share her last name obviously,
- 8:27Speaker 1: and her husband was diagnosed with a l S at
- 8:29Speaker 1: twenty nine and he's it's two years in for him
- 8:32Speaker 1: and he's still doing really well. There's some like um
- 8:36Speaker 1: experimental treatments out there. A LS is really underfunded because
- 8:41Speaker 1: people get it and they pass away fairly quickly. So
- 8:43Speaker 1: like the investment in the pharmaceutical companies doesn't necessarily see
- 8:46Speaker 1: the monetary value of putting a lot of research behind it,
- 8:49Speaker 1: which is too bad. And um, but if you have
- 8:52Speaker 1: any information, message me or email me. Um and uh
- 8:56Speaker 1: and I would love to hear a contact dot Bend
- 8:59Speaker 1: dot Hay at gmail dot com. I'd love to hear
- 9:02Speaker 1: anything you have because we are full on like miracle mode. Now,
- 9:05Speaker 1: let's go weddings done, they're in love, they're happy. Let's
- 9:09Speaker 1: make magic happen. It's kind of our philosophy right now.
- 9:12Speaker 1: It is the worst and it needs to get up here.
- 9:15Speaker 1: It's horrible. Um, and that's gonna be amazing. I'm excited
- 9:18Speaker 1: to see what you guys can do. Yeah, and then
- 9:21Speaker 1: and then I have to go back to your wedding
- 9:23Speaker 1: for second, Do you guys aren't doing a first look,
- 9:27Speaker 1: are you? Um no, We're well, we'll do we'll do
- 9:31Speaker 1: it before. We're doing photos before. Is that what the
- 9:32Speaker 1: first look is? Are doing photos before? Yeah, because I'm
- 9:35Speaker 1: shocked at that. I thought that you guys would be
- 9:37Speaker 1: a little bit more traditional in the sense that, like
- 9:39Speaker 1: you see for the first time walking down the aisle,
- 9:41Speaker 1: you really want to get the photos done. Yeah, because
- 9:43Speaker 1: we're our reception is only a few hours and like
- 9:47Speaker 1: it's like four and a half hours, and if you
- 9:48Speaker 1: did photos and it's another you know, hour out of that,
- 9:51Speaker 1: and we just wanted to be able to get around
- 9:53Speaker 1: and say hey to everybody. And so we're gonna do
- 9:55Speaker 1: it before. And there's like a lot of moving parts.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You know, you get stuff donated to your wedding, and
- 9:59Speaker 1: you get stuff done at your wedding and uh, and
- 10:02Speaker 1: you just want to get those done like beforehand. Uh,
- 10:04Speaker 1: in our opinion, So we are going to do that. Um,
- 10:07Speaker 1: we don't know how. I don't know how we're gonna
- 10:09Speaker 1: do the look yet, but it's I actually more excited
- 10:13Speaker 1: to just have her and eye in that moment um
- 10:16Speaker 1: and when she walks down the aisle. Obviously that's gonna
- 10:17Speaker 1: be a whole new ball game. But like just to
- 10:20Speaker 1: have her and Eye in that moment, to see each
- 10:21Speaker 1: other as something that like I'm very um actually, like
- 10:25Speaker 1: I could tear up just thinking about it. Um. Yeah,
- 10:27Speaker 1: I'm just really excited for that because like she's just
- 10:31Speaker 1: beautiful and she's gonna shine, and I know she's gonna
- 10:34Speaker 1: look beautiful, and I know that night's gonna be like
- 10:36Speaker 1: she's gonna feel super loved, and so I'm I'm just
- 10:39Speaker 1: so excited, um for us to get here. We're only
- 10:42Speaker 1: a few like we're not even two weeks away now, um,
- 10:46Speaker 1: and so we got we got some more. I guess
- 10:48Speaker 1: I gotta go to New York before this. Actually, like
- 10:51Speaker 1: this is this is a lot to do. I have
- 10:54Speaker 1: so many questions to just keep popping up. I now
- 10:56Speaker 1: I need your prediction on what her dress is gonna be. Like, Um,
- 11:00Speaker 1: I knew you're gonna ask me something like this, because
- 11:02Speaker 1: I think it's gonna be like fairly simple, doesn'teem. I
- 11:07Speaker 1: don't think it's gonna have any shoulders. Um strap list
- 11:12Speaker 1: that's good. Help me out with the verbage. As I
- 11:14Speaker 1: talked through this, I think it's going to have like
- 11:16Speaker 1: a really cool design, like over the chest, in the belly,
- 11:19Speaker 1: like I think in the front it's gonna be like
- 11:23Speaker 1: will be embroidered. Yeah, there you will. There be bling.
- 11:27Speaker 1: I feel like no, no, no, no bling. Um yeah
- 11:32Speaker 1: I was bling like jewelry. No, that's like the dad
- 11:36Speaker 1: like like crystallized beds, stuff like that, like pearls. I
- 11:41Speaker 1: don't think so, I think. I don't. I don't see
- 11:44Speaker 1: her do I don't see her loving that because you know,
- 11:47Speaker 1: she's she's like, she's so naturally beautiful that she doesn't
- 11:52Speaker 1: wear a lot of stuff usually, and she's so tiny
- 11:55Speaker 1: that when she wears like a necklace, she looks like,
- 11:58Speaker 1: you know, it's like a big old thousand fifty gold
- 12:01Speaker 1: chain on her when she wears anything. Um, you know. Yeah.
- 12:05Speaker 1: So I think it's gonna be fairly simple design. Um.
- 12:08Speaker 1: I imagine it being backless. Um was that the right
- 12:12Speaker 1: word for that? Okay? Cool? Um, it's gonna be hard
- 12:16Speaker 1: to be strapless and backless, but it could be done.
- 12:19Speaker 1: Could be done. Well, what's what's the shape? Is it
- 12:22Speaker 1: going to be a ball down a line like Mermaids?
- 12:26Speaker 1: What's an a line? I feel like lines, a line.
- 12:28Speaker 1: I think a line for jazz for sure. That's like
- 12:31Speaker 1: you know how mine was ball Mine was ball down.
- 12:35Speaker 1: So it kind of like goes from the waist and
- 12:37Speaker 1: like over a little bit, like really poofy. This is
- 12:41Speaker 1: like the more understated version, like it goes like a
- 12:44Speaker 1: a like it's in the shape of its puff, but
- 12:47Speaker 1: down a line. I see an a line with her. Yeah,
- 12:51Speaker 1: that's it. I think I got it a line. Um.
- 12:55Speaker 1: And then I'm I was going to show you one
- 12:57Speaker 1: of my groomsmen gifts. Actually, none of my groomsmen listen
- 12:59Speaker 1: to this podcast um at all. Uh. And that's not
- 13:03Speaker 1: because they hate me, it's just because they don't. Yeah,
- 13:07Speaker 1: this is uh, this is one of my groomsman gifts
- 13:09Speaker 1: that I'm so pumped for that I'm gonna make everybody
- 13:11Speaker 1: wear at the wedding. Oh my gosh, guys, they're Ben
- 13:15Speaker 1: Higgins boxers, the boxer briefs. Yeah, yeah, yeah, They've got
- 13:20Speaker 1: Ben's face all over them. You think that's good as Yeah,
- 13:24Speaker 1: that's really cute. Good, we'll get a picture in them. Um,
- 13:28Speaker 1: I'm excited for this one. But oh, Ashley, it's a
- 13:31Speaker 1: huge thing. I'm so pumped. And then the honeymoon is
- 13:34Speaker 1: gonna be really exciting. We're going to St. Barts. Where
- 13:36Speaker 1: is that St Barts? Um, we're gonna fly down there
- 13:39Speaker 1: for a week. After the day after, we're gonna take
- 13:43Speaker 1: a day and rest and then fly out like that Monday. Yeah,
- 13:48Speaker 1: And I think I got that from you. Also. I
- 13:50Speaker 1: thought about you two weeks ago. We were taking final
- 13:52Speaker 1: details for the ceremony and we were talking about you
- 13:56Speaker 1: and Jared and we're like, you know, your wedding was
- 13:58Speaker 1: so much you guys, Like it's so personal. There's so
- 14:00Speaker 1: many like different things that you added in that made it,
- 14:03Speaker 1: um just match your personalities, which is so cool. And
- 14:06Speaker 1: so we have a surprise for our wedding that came
- 14:10Speaker 1: from the inspiration of you all reading at the wedding.
- 14:14Speaker 1: That's gonna be I think, awesome. Um yeah, So yeah,
- 14:19Speaker 1: you can think about what you're thinking about you as
- 14:21Speaker 1: we did this. Can't wait to see it. I wonder
- 14:24Speaker 1: if it'll go off in my head be like, oh,
- 14:25Speaker 1: this is the moment you'll know and then well, then
- 14:28Speaker 1: after the wedding, when we do a wedding brief on
- 14:30Speaker 1: this podcast, Um, I'll give all the details here. Um,
- 14:34Speaker 1: I'll tell you what it was, and we'll talk about
- 14:36Speaker 1: it with everybody here on the podcast, and I'll read
- 14:38Speaker 1: through exactly what they're reading was so they get an idea. Um,
- 14:42Speaker 1: but you'll you'll know, Okay. Cool alright, Ben, Well it's
- 14:46Speaker 1: about time we start talking about the Bachelor at episode.
- 14:49Speaker 1: So after this quick break, we'll be here to give
- 14:53Speaker 1: you the recap. Alright, we're back. Um, so much more
- 15:07Speaker 1: wedding to discuss uh in the next few weeks. Thank
- 15:10Speaker 1: you all for the kind words on Instagram. Um, just
- 15:14Speaker 1: about the wedding coming up. It's such a cool deal.
- 15:16Speaker 1: You know, this is a huge podcast. Life is changing,
- 15:18Speaker 1: Ashley is pregnant, I'm getting married. We're growing up right
- 15:22Speaker 1: here in front of your eyes and in your ears. Well, um,
- 15:25Speaker 1: we've also grown up as a podcast because we started
- 15:27Speaker 1: this in uh for the Bachelor in Paradise. It was
- 15:30Speaker 1: a huge success. We've loved doing it. It's so much
- 15:32Speaker 1: fun to do. It's the Bachelor Brackett and the Bachelor
- 15:34Speaker 1: Bracket rule of the week. If you don't know what
- 15:36Speaker 1: we're talking about, please join our almost famous Bachelor Brackett.
- 15:39Speaker 1: It is absolutely awesome. Uh. The winner came on the
- 15:42Speaker 1: podcast here just a couple of weeks ago, um, and
- 15:45Speaker 1: that was just fun to hear all of her strategy
- 15:48Speaker 1: and insights. But anyways, the rule of the week is this, Um,
- 15:51Speaker 1: for week four, you get five plus points every time
- 15:54Speaker 1: a contestant says the word bro when talking to another contestant. Again,
- 16:00Speaker 1: you get five more points every time the word burrow
- 16:04Speaker 1: is thrown around. And after seeing this week's episode, I
- 16:07Speaker 1: believe there are some burrows thrown around this week for sure.
- 16:12Speaker 1: For sure, these clues are awesome. They really do coincide
- 16:15Speaker 1: well with the week ahead. Ben, I gotta get your
- 16:19Speaker 1: thoughts on Jamie from last week's episode before we get
- 16:22Speaker 1: into this one, because he again plays a big role. Yeah. So,
- 16:27Speaker 1: I mean I think you know, Jamie came out of
- 16:29Speaker 1: the limo and he obviously had like a confidence to him,
- 16:33Speaker 1: like a swagger that like was noticed and uh and
- 16:38Speaker 1: it always makes me hesitant on this show. I'd say,
- 16:41Speaker 1: like anytime somebody seems really smooth and cool, Um, just
- 16:46Speaker 1: I don't I personally don't believe anybody's actually like that. Like,
- 16:49Speaker 1: I just don't think every anybody is like always so
- 16:52Speaker 1: cool the time. I think everybody has a little goof
- 16:54Speaker 1: to him. Um, so you're like, okay, putting on a
- 16:56Speaker 1: good first impression, and then he has his date and
- 16:59Speaker 1: and like he might have had the most roller coaster
- 17:01Speaker 1: of an episode I've ever seen, because my god, Ben,
- 17:03Speaker 1: I know you weren't here last week, but like I said,
- 17:06Speaker 1: I don't know I've ever seen somebody's story arc go
- 17:08Speaker 1: up and down multiple times like that in one episode. Yeah,
- 17:12Speaker 1: so you know, obviously he opens up and he tells
- 17:15Speaker 1: his story, and I don't want to neglect that or
- 17:17Speaker 1: push that away and say, like, you know that that
- 17:20Speaker 1: was important and I and I don't know him, I
- 17:22Speaker 1: believe it to all be true. I believe obviously there's
- 17:25Speaker 1: a lot of stuff that comes along with that, like
- 17:29Speaker 1: trauma and just you know, childhood nous that has probably
- 17:33Speaker 1: stuck with him as an adult. And so he has
- 17:35Speaker 1: his story and like I'm watching it at the time
- 17:38Speaker 1: in that place and going, he's, um, everybody's gonna fall
- 17:40Speaker 1: in love with him. He's the guy. He's it like
- 17:42Speaker 1: maybe he is this cool all the time. And then
- 17:44Speaker 1: you see the end of last week's episode and you go,
- 17:47Speaker 1: oh my gosh, like this dude feels I mean, it
- 17:53Speaker 1: almost feels like all of a sudden within moments like
- 17:55Speaker 1: now I just don't like him, Like I don't enjoy
- 17:58Speaker 1: watching him, I don't enjoy him as a person, and
- 18:00Speaker 1: like I want him gone, Like he's not good for Michelle.
- 18:03Speaker 1: And he almost feels like after last week like the
- 18:05Speaker 1: guy that could trigger um, like he's some guy he's not.
- 18:10Speaker 1: And then you get to this week and it all
- 18:13Speaker 1: capped off actually with me where I was like still
- 18:15Speaker 1: holding on the hope that he still is that guy.
- 18:17Speaker 1: Maybe he just messed up and overspoken, overshared and got
- 18:20Speaker 1: insecure and said something he didn't mean, or said something
- 18:24Speaker 1: like we've all done it where you like explain yourself
- 18:27Speaker 1: and you know you you say everybody's thinking this, or
- 18:30Speaker 1: back in high school used to be like, you know,
- 18:33Speaker 1: I hear a rumor, um that you've done this. We're
- 18:35Speaker 1: really the rumors just in your own head. So I think,
- 18:38Speaker 1: maybe give him the benefit of the down here. But
- 18:39Speaker 1: then he sits down with the producer after Brandon gets
- 18:42Speaker 1: the rose and he's talking about him being this up
- 18:45Speaker 1: here and Brandon being downe here. I'm like, no, you're done,
- 18:47Speaker 1: like you're out, you know what, Like I don't You're
- 18:50Speaker 1: not here anymore. I don't want you here anymore. You
- 18:53Speaker 1: are you are falling fast, buddy, you are done. That
- 18:57Speaker 1: guy had such an ego on him. There was bad vibes,
- 19:02Speaker 1: like the it was, it was weird, like and I
- 19:05Speaker 1: it's always harder to say because he has a sad backstory,
- 19:10Speaker 1: but there was something evident even when he was having
- 19:14Speaker 1: his good moments on the episode last week, where I
- 19:18Speaker 1: just felt like there's something off, there's something like not
- 19:22Speaker 1: good here. And then this week's episode, even before he
- 19:27Speaker 1: sat down with the producer was like something he's off.
- 19:30Speaker 1: I mean, obviously we knew what he did last week,
- 19:33Speaker 1: so like that was the off thing, but the just
- 19:36Speaker 1: the ego, just him being saying something like I can
- 19:39Speaker 1: see the way that sher she lights up around me,
- 19:43Speaker 1: or like the way that she's so gravitated towards me,
- 19:46Speaker 1: Like have you ever heard of a contestant speak about
- 19:50Speaker 1: the leads gravitational pull to them well and then speak
- 19:54Speaker 1: so poorly of the lead to like I'm not gonna
- 20:00Speaker 1: judge it, I'm just gonna like laugh. But it's like, no, dude,
- 20:02Speaker 1: you're just you're you are dismissing who Michelle is a
- 20:07Speaker 1: human right now? And like what what do you mean?
- 20:08Speaker 1: She's in spring break mode, like she's dating and maybe
- 20:11Speaker 1: she's not as into you as you in your head
- 20:13Speaker 1: thinks she should be or is. And that's why you're
- 20:16Speaker 1: saying it's spring break mode for her, because yes, she
- 20:18Speaker 1: doesn't give you all attention. I'm fired up at this
- 20:20Speaker 1: point in this episode actually like this is and and
- 20:25Speaker 1: at this point before we start breaking down the whole
- 20:27Speaker 1: episode and going into like the men confronting him, and
- 20:31Speaker 1: what I will say is Jamie's weird way of reconciling
- 20:34Speaker 1: it in his own head and not making any sense
- 20:36Speaker 1: anybody else bananas is. I'm so fired up at this
- 20:41Speaker 1: point because, as you know, there's some things on the
- 20:44Speaker 1: show that really get me going. And somebody thinking they
- 20:48Speaker 1: are the coolest person out there is one of the
- 20:50Speaker 1: things that really gets me fired up, especially when they
- 20:55Speaker 1: continue to double down on it. I know, do you
- 20:58Speaker 1: want to get to that later? Do you want to
- 21:00Speaker 1: finish Jamie talk now? I don't know what do you
- 21:01Speaker 1: want to do? Well, we'll finish it now because I'm
- 21:03Speaker 1: so fired up. Okay, okay, Well I can't believe that
- 21:08Speaker 1: he was like no, no, no, like the Verbon she
- 21:11Speaker 1: was trying to use to talk himself, like the room.
- 21:14Speaker 1: He's like, yeah, it wasn't individuals, but it was an
- 21:17Speaker 1: overall thing. And I was like, oh wait a second, No,
- 21:21Speaker 1: to be an overall thing, it has to start with individuals.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Nothing he was saying was making sense. And then he
- 21:26Speaker 1: was like, like for the viewers, And that's a great
- 21:30Speaker 1: moment in this episode of viewers. Oh my god, it's
- 21:34Speaker 1: a great moment in this episode because as a view
- 21:36Speaker 1: you're sitting there going so he's like speaking for me,
- 21:40Speaker 1: and I'm watching it and I'm like, why are you
- 21:43Speaker 1: trying to protect me, buddy? Like there's a thousand things
- 21:46Speaker 1: on this show that I never see or understand when
- 21:48Speaker 1: I watch it back, Like I'm just didn't it for
- 21:51Speaker 1: the ride? And you're in your head thinking that you're
- 21:56Speaker 1: giving the view Like are you saying you're giving the
- 21:58Speaker 1: viewers the benefit of the doubt by filling this storyline
- 22:02Speaker 1: for them, Because if so, you have really really poorly
- 22:06Speaker 1: analyzed what this show is, because when you're in it,
- 22:10Speaker 1: the last thing you should be thinking about at any
- 22:12Speaker 1: time is the viewers and how they're going to perceive
- 22:16Speaker 1: the story. Yeah, it was like he was trying to
- 22:19Speaker 1: be a producer as well. He also remember like last
- 22:23Speaker 1: week he was like, I need to see if Michelle
- 22:26Speaker 1: is the kind of woman that will like go do
- 22:29Speaker 1: things for the moment with me, Like I need to
- 22:31Speaker 1: see if she's a match for me. And it doesn't.
- 22:33Speaker 1: It's not a one way street here, which I can
- 22:36Speaker 1: respect the thought behind that. But now this week it
- 22:40Speaker 1: was all about competition for him. You could just tell.
- 22:42Speaker 1: It was all about beating the other guys and being
- 22:44Speaker 1: above the other guys and mentally and believing he is
- 22:49Speaker 1: above the other guys, like believing already that he is
- 22:53Speaker 1: in an a league of his own, which is just
- 22:55Speaker 1: not true. Like and I'm not saying that because Jamie's
- 22:59Speaker 1: not great. I don't know him personally. I'm just saying,
- 23:02Speaker 1: you're on the Bachelorette, Like every person in that room
- 23:05Speaker 1: either has a story to tell or they're a human
- 23:10Speaker 1: who is trying to date this woman, like they all belong.
- 23:14Speaker 1: At any point, if any person ever comes into the
- 23:16Speaker 1: show or off the show believing they're above anybody else
- 23:19Speaker 1: on it, like you're just wrong, Like you're you just
- 23:23Speaker 1: are even if you're the lead of the show, it
- 23:24Speaker 1: doesn't you're still like there's a there's five or six
- 23:27Speaker 1: people every season that could possibly be the lead lead
- 23:30Speaker 1: of this show. It doesn't mean that you're any greater.
- 23:33Speaker 1: And at this point, he's in this conversation with these
- 23:36Speaker 1: guys and he's believing that, like he's rolling his eyes,
- 23:39Speaker 1: like he's so smart, and they just don't get it,
- 23:41Speaker 1: Like he just said, keep saying, you just don't get it,
- 23:43Speaker 1: you just don't get it. And I'm thinking, Jamie, at
- 23:47Speaker 1: what point in your life are you gonna humble yourself
- 23:49Speaker 1: to do some introspection and maybe say you were wrong,
- 23:52Speaker 1: because this whole thing gets fixed. It's a beauty of
- 23:55Speaker 1: watching this show back, and it's the beauty of relating
- 23:57Speaker 1: to life. You can mess up in life. I'm with that,
- 24:00Speaker 1: Like you could have said something like he did and
- 24:03Speaker 1: really like throwing the whole thing off course. But as
- 24:06Speaker 1: soon as you do some introspection realize you are wrong,
- 24:09Speaker 1: you just admit it and then like typically people understand
- 24:12Speaker 1: because they've been there too. But he, like he just
- 24:15Speaker 1: keeps doubling down, like I'm so smart, you don't get it.
- 24:18Speaker 1: I'm trying to help out. I'm in the right, you're
- 24:20Speaker 1: in the wrong. And I bet he got on that
- 24:22Speaker 1: bus or whatever they picked him up in, still believing
- 24:25Speaker 1: that he was in the right Oh one thousand percent.
- 24:29Speaker 1: Two more things I have to mention. First, he said,
- 24:33Speaker 1: I love the way that Michelle was like, okay, wait
- 24:35Speaker 1: a second. So you were like hearing things in the
- 24:39Speaker 1: house and then all of a sudden you remember this
- 24:41Speaker 1: personal story from your friends seeing me out with another guy,
- 24:47Speaker 1: and it's like, mm okay, so great points to be like,
- 24:52Speaker 1: actually you were probably pretty focused on this. Actually here
- 24:59Speaker 1: is the thing you aren't wrong. I will say this.
- 25:02Speaker 1: And the close up the Jamie thought too, I've never
- 25:06Speaker 1: seen a guy fall so fast like we're what we're
- 25:08Speaker 1: doing here is this is all within the moment of
- 25:10Speaker 1: like really just an episode, like from going from the
- 25:14Speaker 1: top to the bottom so quickly totally. And another thing,
- 25:20Speaker 1: I feel like when she let him go, she was
- 25:24Speaker 1: scott to be she had got to be so grossed
- 25:26Speaker 1: out by him, you know what I mean? She was like,
- 25:29Speaker 1: I spent this week kissing this guy and now I
- 25:33Speaker 1: see his true colors, Like just get out, no hug
- 25:36Speaker 1: now nothing. I want to pretend like you never existed. Yeah,
- 25:39Speaker 1: I never had that moment like where you know, like
- 25:43Speaker 1: just like I never had that like grossed out moment
- 25:46Speaker 1: on my time where like somebody like epically blew up
- 25:49Speaker 1: and you're like, oh, I've spent the last two weeks,
- 25:52Speaker 1: you know, kissing you and and understanding you, and I
- 25:55Speaker 1: guess I have that benefit, but you're right, like you
- 25:57Speaker 1: have to imagine what she was feeling there. She's like, wait,
- 25:59Speaker 1: I was in you like two hours ago, right, and
- 26:03Speaker 1: and we all we laugh about it. But it's funny
- 26:06Speaker 1: how like quickly somebody can just become unattractive to you, um,
- 26:12Speaker 1: when you like, especially with the personal I think this
- 26:14Speaker 1: is one of those moments where she's like, I was
- 26:15Speaker 1: so into this and now all of a sudden, I
- 26:16Speaker 1: can't even be in the same moment in the same room. UM.
- 26:21Speaker 1: I was hoping Ashley too that once he was gone.
- 26:24Speaker 1: It felt like this group of guys, you know, we're
- 26:27Speaker 1: a couple of weeks in now. Um, for the most part,
- 26:31Speaker 1: UH kind of understood each other. I thought there was
- 26:33Speaker 1: some solid foundational pieces that we're going to keep the
- 26:35Speaker 1: group like functioning fairly well together and um bring some
- 26:40Speaker 1: joy and laughter to the group. And you know a
- 26:42Speaker 1: lot of them stood up for I forget his name
- 26:45Speaker 1: the guy that she was supposedly dating beforehand. Um. Yeah,
- 26:50Speaker 1: Like there's some guys that stood up for Joe that
- 26:51Speaker 1: was just like, hey, you know, I don't think they
- 26:54Speaker 1: were dating, and like get off of Joe's back, like
- 26:56Speaker 1: you was like, he was like, hey, you're sticking up
- 26:58Speaker 1: for each other. This is good. Then we see a
- 27:00Speaker 1: preview and I'm like, wait something, So this still blows
- 27:02Speaker 1: up like every season always does. Yeah. I was thinking
- 27:05Speaker 1: also with the elimination of the pizzrepreneur, I was like, wow,
- 27:08Speaker 1: did we get the drama completely out of the house already? No,
- 27:11Speaker 1: of course not, but we can now we we can
- 27:16Speaker 1: start from the top of the episode. We'll skip the
- 27:19Speaker 1: Jamie stuff of course. Um the first the first date,
- 27:22Speaker 1: Oh god, Jared was very envious. So big big Tom
- 27:28Speaker 1: Cruise guys over here, big top gun fans. Uh. Jared
- 27:32Speaker 1: has been counting down honestly the years now. So the
- 27:35Speaker 1: movie was going to come out because it was supposed
- 27:37Speaker 1: to come out last summer, and then they pushed it
- 27:41Speaker 1: back to November and it was still I believe um
- 27:46Speaker 1: set for November release when they shot this date and
- 27:50Speaker 1: then they moved it back to June. My gosh, my years.
- 27:56Speaker 1: It was supposed to come out November this month, and
- 28:01Speaker 1: now they pushed it back to June. So this is
- 28:06Speaker 1: a very cool theme date. Love the way that they added,
- 28:09Speaker 1: like the music, and they had some of the cast
- 28:13Speaker 1: um cute cute. Liked it. Um. The only thing that
- 28:20Speaker 1: really sucked for them was having to do that motion thing.
- 28:23Speaker 1: What is that motion like it's like the G four simulator. Yeah,
- 28:29Speaker 1: I mean that sucked, but it was also fun. I
- 28:31Speaker 1: mean it's like, you know, it's a it's a cool experience.
- 28:33Speaker 1: I liked this group date. Like you said, I thought
- 28:35Speaker 1: it was I actually thought every group date this episode
- 28:39Speaker 1: was like kind of went above and beyond anything we've
- 28:42Speaker 1: seen the last few seasons when it comes to who
- 28:44Speaker 1: they bring in and just the structure of it. This
- 28:47Speaker 1: one like it was far and away really great. You know,
- 28:50Speaker 1: obviously you have the Pizzapreneur and Little Willie Um going
- 28:55Speaker 1: at it. Little Willie just crushed him, by the way,
- 28:57Speaker 1: and that he came up with some great nicknames around
- 28:59Speaker 1: in the spot. Yeah. But like that little fighting scene,
- 29:02Speaker 1: I mean, Clayton's massive obviously, um and just like destroys dudes.
- 29:07Speaker 1: But then like little Willie and this guy. I'm like ready,
- 29:10Speaker 1: I'm gonna have my popcorn and I'm ready for this fight,
- 29:12Speaker 1: and he just destroys this guy. I want to know
- 29:15Speaker 1: from you, Ashley, whose side were you on, like at
- 29:19Speaker 1: this moment, like are you because obviously little Willie is
- 29:22Speaker 1: in trouble because he calls a pizzapreneur narcissistic uh during
- 29:26Speaker 1: the first group day. Then they go on this day
- 29:28Speaker 1: together and they have like this beef with each other.
- 29:31Speaker 1: Um that kind of comes back up and is unsettled
- 29:34Speaker 1: because the pizzapreneur feels like little Willie stole his lines
- 29:39Speaker 1: during the G four steal. Who side are you on?
- 29:42Speaker 1: I'm on Willie's side, okay, But I also understand that
- 29:46Speaker 1: it would be kind of annoying that like Pizzapreneur ends
- 29:49Speaker 1: up doing Italian and then he goes and sneaks Spanish,
- 29:52Speaker 1: like okay, get your own thing. But I also think
- 29:55Speaker 1: Pizzapreneur is just like an outrageous human vating. Yeah, he's
- 29:59Speaker 1: he reminds me of Yosef Joseph. Wow, what a throwback. Yeah,
- 30:04Speaker 1: he does remind me of Yosef. Yeah. I mean I
- 30:08Speaker 1: think he's like, I think he was just outraged I'm
- 30:10Speaker 1: with you. He was like outrageous and then like I
- 30:12Speaker 1: wasn't buying into his stuff at all during really leading
- 30:16Speaker 1: up to this, but they obviously had their beef and
- 30:19Speaker 1: then the group they are, the cock party happened and
- 30:22Speaker 1: I'm so thrown off by the dough boy there, like
- 30:25Speaker 1: so mad, so not okay to throw that jacket in
- 30:28Speaker 1: the pool, like I was just I was upset for well, yes,
- 30:33Speaker 1: and he starts crying, and I'm like, if Jared had
- 30:36Speaker 1: won this Maverick jacket, he would have started crying thrown
- 30:40Speaker 1: in the pool. Oh jar. I could see Jared being
- 30:43Speaker 1: so angry, like Will got sad and kind of like
- 30:47Speaker 1: did his thing and walked away, which was great. Um,
- 30:51Speaker 1: I would see Jared like if I if I, if
- 30:53Speaker 1: I threw Jared's jacket Maverick jacket in the pool, I
- 30:56Speaker 1: would be scared for my life, Like I don't see
- 30:59Speaker 1: I don't see him go on about this. Well, you've
- 31:01Speaker 1: never seen jaredy dramatic on the show at all. He's
- 31:05Speaker 1: like so even keeled on TV. But if he had
- 31:08Speaker 1: won the Maverick jacket, like, oh god, he this would
- 31:12Speaker 1: have been his like pride and joy. I can see
- 31:13Speaker 1: that well, um, but yeah, he throws in the pool,
- 31:17Speaker 1: which was a sign of disrespect. It was also just
- 31:20Speaker 1: like it's somebody else's personal stuff and you just don't
- 31:22Speaker 1: do that, right, You just don't mistreat somebody else's stuff
- 31:26Speaker 1: like that. But then the way he came back to
- 31:29Speaker 1: the chairs saying he feels great, Like what person willingly
- 31:35Speaker 1: hurt somebody else knows that they just hurt somebody else,
- 31:39Speaker 1: knows that somebody else is upset emotionally about it and
- 31:42Speaker 1: hurt about it, and goes, yeah, I feel so good
- 31:45Speaker 1: about this, Like that is that is outrageous to me.
- 31:49Speaker 1: I don't know anybody in my life that would hurt
- 31:53Speaker 1: even their worst enemies. Like then, I'm talking like just
- 31:56Speaker 1: people I know, not even friends as people I know
- 31:58Speaker 1: and come back at their you know, couch and be
- 32:01Speaker 1: like that felt so good to make that person feel
- 32:04Speaker 1: so small. That was so terrible. It was like he
- 32:07Speaker 1: was trying to lean into the villain role. Well that
- 32:11Speaker 1: failed for him miserably, and I think it will Like
- 32:14Speaker 1: villains like him don't become popular from the show. It's
- 32:17Speaker 1: it's the semi villain that's not really a villain, but
- 32:20Speaker 1: we just like they just talk a lot, or they're
- 32:22Speaker 1: like outrageous and they just say a lot of things.
- 32:24Speaker 1: You know. I'm thinking Karin and like Demi, who end
- 32:27Speaker 1: up like people love because they're like they're just funny,
- 32:30Speaker 1: like they just they they're just they're they're funny humans.
- 32:34Speaker 1: But villain, like a villain, villain, like a mean villain
- 32:37Speaker 1: that doesn't fly. No, So Martin gets the group date.
- 32:51Speaker 1: Shocker to me, Um, dark horse for for real? Um,
- 32:58Speaker 1: I think we would take him more seriously if you
- 33:00Speaker 1: didn't have for us to tips though. Isn't that embarrassing? Yeah,
- 33:03Speaker 1: but he's growing on me. When I saw his picture, Yeah,
- 33:06Speaker 1: when I saw his picture when he did the breakdown,
- 33:08Speaker 1: I forget what we said about him. I think I
- 33:10Speaker 1: probably said night wonner Um, because you're like you know,
- 33:14Speaker 1: and and even when the show started, I was like,
- 33:15Speaker 1: how do you take this dude serious? And now I'm like, no,
- 33:18Speaker 1: this guy is legit, Like yeah, I like him, Yeah
- 33:22Speaker 1: he's good. Uh. And it was still a shocker that
- 33:25Speaker 1: got the group day rose just because you don't expect
- 33:27Speaker 1: him to get that in a group they rose typically
- 33:29Speaker 1: means you know, you're gonna be around a little bit longer.
- 33:32Speaker 1: And I think he might. I think he might get
- 33:35Speaker 1: a one on one soon, so I'm excited to see
- 33:37Speaker 1: where he goes from here. But yeah, good vibes. He
- 33:40Speaker 1: like makes himself look like a tough guy, but like,
- 33:42Speaker 1: I don't know, I think he's kind of mushy. Yeah,
- 33:44Speaker 1: speaking of mushy Rodney. Rodney gets the one on one
- 33:47Speaker 1: and he's a mushball. He's very sweet. He's the guy
- 33:52Speaker 1: that we've known for apples thus far, which Ben, you
- 33:56Speaker 1: and I have got to talking about the apple thing.
- 33:58Speaker 1: How crazy use it that last week he like couldn't
- 34:03Speaker 1: taste the difference in a Granny Smith apple versus like
- 34:05Speaker 1: a red apple. I love that he's now the apple
- 34:07Speaker 1: guy because it's gonna stick with him and he doesn't
- 34:10Speaker 1: even know apples, Like he just walked himself into a
- 34:13Speaker 1: situation he's not prepared for. Well. They continue with the
- 34:19Speaker 1: theme of this on a Truth or Dare date where
- 34:22Speaker 1: first he needs to feed her food and she needs
- 34:25Speaker 1: to like guess what it is and she does a
- 34:27Speaker 1: way better job than Rodney's done. They also like photocopy
- 34:31Speaker 1: parts of their body. They what what else they do
- 34:38Speaker 1: around naked? Ran around naked, which there's like some weird
- 34:43Speaker 1: themes recently between food and nakedness. I feel like when
- 34:47Speaker 1: you're stuck in a hotel, you just tell people to
- 34:49Speaker 1: get naked and people are gonna watch. It's just it's
- 34:51Speaker 1: like it just sells at least, like his front area
- 34:55Speaker 1: is not showing. I feel like the butt, you know,
- 34:58Speaker 1: a but is funny, A man's butt, It is funny. Yeah,
- 35:00Speaker 1: it's yeah, it's always funny. It's not. Yeah, it's it's
- 35:03Speaker 1: never something that impressive, it's just always funny. The the
- 35:08Speaker 1: thing with Rodney is, and Michelle does a great job
- 35:12Speaker 1: at it, you know, I almost feel like he set
- 35:14Speaker 1: himself up for a failure. So there's this like difference
- 35:16Speaker 1: between the Jamie's of the world that viewed themselves is
- 35:18Speaker 1: the coolest thing out there, and then the Rodney's of
- 35:19Speaker 1: the world, who are obviously incredible people. But he doesn't
- 35:23Speaker 1: view himself in any type of value or any type
- 35:26Speaker 1: of esteem or like he belongs there. And I get
- 35:29Speaker 1: that insecurity, but by expressing it so much so often,
- 35:33Speaker 1: I feel like he almost just convincing himself and Michelle
- 35:36Speaker 1: that he's just like lucky to be around. And like,
- 35:39Speaker 1: I don't know if that's ever like an attractive quality
- 35:42Speaker 1: when you're like always trying to convince somebody that they're
- 35:44Speaker 1: just lucky to be there. And the truth is, like,
- 35:48Speaker 1: he is a sweet guy. Guys like him in the
- 35:51Speaker 1: house he is. He's one of those pieces I said,
- 35:54Speaker 1: and foundationally, we'll keep that house together. I believe he's
- 35:57Speaker 1: gonna be great with Michelle through this whole experience, maybe
- 36:00Speaker 1: even at the end. I don't believe he will be
- 36:02Speaker 1: the one at the end, but I believe he is
- 36:04Speaker 1: a great dude. But I just want him to believe
- 36:07Speaker 1: that a little bit so we can see his confidence
- 36:09Speaker 1: come out and I and it's people like him that
- 36:11Speaker 1: we get to see those stories of when their confidence
- 36:13Speaker 1: finally blossoms. It happened for me on the show, is
- 36:17Speaker 1: all of a sudden, like you had a little reassurance
- 36:19Speaker 1: and you have a couple of week weeks there, and
- 36:20Speaker 1: all of a sudden, you're like, wait, I do belong
- 36:22Speaker 1: here and I do belong in this world. Yeah. So
- 36:26Speaker 1: I think this will be the end of that not
- 36:28Speaker 1: feeling so great at himself because he was gonna keep
- 36:30Speaker 1: going with it. Then it would be like all right, dude,
- 36:32Speaker 1: come on now and then act like during the dinner proportion,
- 36:35Speaker 1: we see the two of them connect, and Michelle even
- 36:37Speaker 1: at the end says that like Rodney tipped away from
- 36:39Speaker 1: just a friend zone to being, you know, somebody she's
- 36:42Speaker 1: looking at as a romantic partner, which is awesome to
- 36:44Speaker 1: see and I hope he believes that. But you know,
- 36:47Speaker 1: Michelle has promised us even when she was on our podcast,
- 36:50Speaker 1: that this season was going to have conversations that Um
- 36:53Speaker 1: had a lot of depth to him that she believed
- 36:55Speaker 1: would be beneficial for all to see and watch Um
- 36:58Speaker 1: and Rodney and She'll have one of those conversations. Is
- 37:01Speaker 1: not the first time this season where these conversations have happened,
- 37:04Speaker 1: but they both talk about how they have grown up
- 37:07Speaker 1: in a predominantly white area, that they have both been
- 37:10Speaker 1: called terrible names, that it's been difficult, and they relate
- 37:13Speaker 1: on this in this level and then we get to
- 37:14Speaker 1: watch them have that conversation back Um and I think
- 37:18Speaker 1: there's a lot to learn, a lot to listen to,
- 37:20Speaker 1: a lot to hear from that Uh, and they're doing it.
- 37:23Speaker 1: It's it's it's beautiful to me because they're doing this
- 37:26Speaker 1: in a way that, like I think it's both showing
- 37:29Speaker 1: them a place of empathy and support, but then also helping,
- 37:33Speaker 1: you know, unlike Jamie's ideas, like all of us understand better,
- 37:38Speaker 1: like where how they're connecting at a romantic level. And
- 37:41Speaker 1: I think this is gonna be the start of something.
- 37:43Speaker 1: I would believe, Like I said, he's gonna be around
- 37:45Speaker 1: a while because they get each other in a lot
- 37:47Speaker 1: of ways. I feel like he's gonna be around for
- 37:49Speaker 1: a long time. How dare I say, maybe like top four? Yeah? Yeah,
- 37:54Speaker 1: and uh. She says that he makes her feel safe,
- 37:57Speaker 1: which is always like that is like key been in
- 38:00Speaker 1: the midst of these like really important conversations. Rodney has
- 38:04Speaker 1: this way of being just watching on TV. I've never
- 38:07Speaker 1: been him in person obviously, but like having this way
- 38:09Speaker 1: of just bringing this like comfort. Yes, Like he's really
- 38:13Speaker 1: easy to watch because he feels himself to be like
- 38:16Speaker 1: an underdog, so you think that he'd be nervous. He
- 38:18Speaker 1: seems very at ease, very at HEA's almost like confident,
- 38:23Speaker 1: you would say, is like his he he communicates and
- 38:27Speaker 1: and I'm not saying he's wrong because I know those insecurities,
- 38:30Speaker 1: but like he communicates a thing that's different than how
- 38:32Speaker 1: he's portrayed. And I wonder if it's just coming from
- 38:34Speaker 1: a place of humility where he's so humble and who
- 38:39Speaker 1: he is um that it's almost comes off as confidence
- 38:43Speaker 1: because he just is he doesn't have a lot to lose,
- 38:46Speaker 1: Like he just believes he's still lucky to be there,
- 38:49Speaker 1: and he's willing to sit in any conversation anybody's willing
- 38:52Speaker 1: to have, and he's willing to be the foundational piece
- 38:55Speaker 1: that tries to keep peace in the house and the
- 38:57Speaker 1: guy that just laughs at himself and others and a
- 39:00Speaker 1: healthy and fun way. And because of that, like I
- 39:03Speaker 1: just I think his maybe insecurity might actually bring a
- 39:06Speaker 1: level of confidence on the show because he has nothing
- 39:08Speaker 1: to lose. Yeah, he is a good listener, Like he's
- 39:13Speaker 1: got those that that thing where you listen before you react.
- 39:17Speaker 1: It's always yeah, makes a good bachelor, it does. Speaking
- 39:22Speaker 1: of I don't understand why Clayton's the Bachelor yet, I'll
- 39:26Speaker 1: tell you that I would agree with you. I would
- 39:28Speaker 1: agree with you. It doesn't make any sense. I don't
- 39:30Speaker 1: find him to be unbelievably charming in anyway. I thought
- 39:34Speaker 1: by the time we got to week four, we would
- 39:37Speaker 1: be like blown away based on the press and what
- 39:41Speaker 1: producers were saying about him, will you just be like,
- 39:44Speaker 1: oh my gosh, make him the bachelor. He has to
- 39:47Speaker 1: be the bachelor. He is and likes. He's not captivating
- 39:51Speaker 1: to me, it hasn't been there yet, Like there's there's
- 39:55Speaker 1: a couple of guys including Rodney Um Joe and Nate
- 40:00Speaker 1: and Brandon Um that like you're like, you know these
- 40:05Speaker 1: dudes right now when I think of this season or
- 40:07Speaker 1: who I think about, So what point does Clayton step up?
- 40:11Speaker 1: And it has to happen? You know, it has to
- 40:13Speaker 1: happen because there's no way they do what they did
- 40:16Speaker 1: with Clayton unless there's this clear thing that happens during
- 40:20Speaker 1: the season where the audience is going to jump on
- 40:22Speaker 1: board with him because they need a big Bachelor season,
- 40:24Speaker 1: like they need a lead that people are going to
- 40:27Speaker 1: jump behind. I know, And I'm like, did they make
- 40:31Speaker 1: a gigantic mistake? They can't keep making mistakes, Like they
- 40:36Speaker 1: just can't, Like, at some point, you have to stop
- 40:38Speaker 1: making mistakes. And and so I do believe he's gonna shine.
- 40:42Speaker 1: Here's the other part about him, it's like we don't
- 40:44Speaker 1: like him, like I like him. It's it's I'm not
- 40:47Speaker 1: I don't dislike him. I don't find nothing. I feel
- 40:50Speaker 1: so neutral. Yeah neutral. It's just like, yeah, he's a
- 40:52Speaker 1: good contestant on this season. He's he's he's just there
- 40:56Speaker 1: and that's fine, and be like, oh, he's probably top
- 40:59Speaker 1: ten If I didn't know that, he like becomes the Bachelor. Yeah,
- 41:03Speaker 1: so I assume he goes farther than top ten. But
- 41:05Speaker 1: at this point I'd be like Tom ten. You know,
- 41:07Speaker 1: it never really makes a big imprint. I have a feeling, Ashley,
- 41:11Speaker 1: We'll we'll talk about in a couple of weeks. I
- 41:13Speaker 1: have a feeling. I don't think anything ever comes to
- 41:19Speaker 1: the surface. I think he gets let go and we'd go,
- 41:21Speaker 1: what like that was it? We've done that so many
- 41:24Speaker 1: times watching the show. We're like, wait, that's that's what
- 41:28Speaker 1: That's what we're waiting on. And then he does find
- 41:30Speaker 1: as the Bachelor. But I think their biggest mistake might
- 41:33Speaker 1: be that, like the audience doesn't have that emotional pull
- 41:37Speaker 1: towards him, or they're just not completely behind it, because
- 41:39Speaker 1: I think there's some other guys on the season that
- 41:41Speaker 1: the audience will be more in love with, um who
- 41:44Speaker 1: get let go? Yeah. Part of me is also thinking,
- 41:48Speaker 1: like maybe yeah, maybe he doesn't make a huge splash,
- 41:51Speaker 1: which is why it was easy to make him the
- 41:54Speaker 1: bachelor over some other guys that we are going to
- 41:57Speaker 1: be more invested in for Michelle, like Nate, like a joke,
- 42:01Speaker 1: like a Brendon. I don't know. Very weird right now,
- 42:05Speaker 1: But let's go on to the last group dates where
- 42:11Speaker 1: they do a poetry creation. Very creative, it was great,
- 42:16Speaker 1: it was very cute. Um what's his name is? Chris
- 42:19Speaker 1: g super star struck to see Rudy Francisco. I wanted
- 42:23Speaker 1: to see their meeting. We didn't see their meeting, but
- 42:26Speaker 1: he was like freaking out. And and this is one
- 42:29Speaker 1: of those moments where Jamie's like ego really got to
- 42:31Speaker 1: him because of course he didn't use the opportunity to
- 42:34Speaker 1: tell a personal story. He told like a story of
- 42:38Speaker 1: somebody else. I think that was kind of a red
- 42:42Speaker 1: flag to her, because she ends up saying later in
- 42:44Speaker 1: the episode, she goes, now that I see like red
- 42:46Speaker 1: flags building. I'm thinking otherwise, And I think that that
- 42:49Speaker 1: may have been one. Yeah, you know, and it could
- 42:53Speaker 1: just be that I'm I'm not I'm not on Jamie's
- 42:55Speaker 1: level of intelligence, but I didn't understand that story at all.
- 42:58Speaker 1: Like I was so lost. I was trying to watch
- 43:00Speaker 1: it and like I hear some age some angel telling
- 43:04Speaker 1: you to get it. Was like yeah, and it was like, dude,
- 43:06Speaker 1: you're missing it. Like and to me, there's so much
- 43:09Speaker 1: more creativity intelligence to what these other dudes were doing,
- 43:12Speaker 1: Like you know, they were speaking like incredible things over
- 43:16Speaker 1: Michelle in a way that was rhythmatic and beautiful. Um,
- 43:21Speaker 1: it was really cool to watch. I like this date.
- 43:24Speaker 1: I thought it was a great set up for a date.
- 43:25Speaker 1: I thought it feeled like that Week three group date
- 43:28Speaker 1: role where you know, we saw Nick sit down and
- 43:31Speaker 1: get like, um, let the guys open up. And we've
- 43:33Speaker 1: seen weeks where you know, they maybe they sing a song,
- 43:36Speaker 1: or they write a song, or they write a piece
- 43:37Speaker 1: of poetry or whatever. You got to do a romantic
- 43:40Speaker 1: novel um during that time. This was like that filled
- 43:44Speaker 1: that role and it was a cool way to do it.
- 43:45Speaker 1: I liked it. Um. But yeah, he totally flopped, which
- 43:49Speaker 1: you know, really becomes the storyline now for the rest
- 43:52Speaker 1: of the episode is Jamie's flop. Brandon gets a group
- 43:57Speaker 1: date rose Um that night, which was cool. Brand In
- 44:00Speaker 1: is getting the group day Rose two weeks in a row. Now, Wow,
- 44:04Speaker 1: you're right, that is unheard of. And yet he's still
- 44:09Speaker 1: almost like not like somebody when I think of this season, like,
- 44:13Speaker 1: oh my gosh, she's at the very top. I got
- 44:16Speaker 1: he would be my top three, But I'm still like
- 44:18Speaker 1: the Joe's and the Nates of the world still feel like,
- 44:20Speaker 1: in my opinion, they're above Brandon. Am I wrong in
- 44:23Speaker 1: that feeling? I don't know what it is about Brandon
- 44:26Speaker 1: that she's vibing with, particularly. I mean, I mean, he
- 44:29Speaker 1: seems like a really nice guy and everything, but in
- 44:33Speaker 1: the conversations I feel like they're a little light. Am
- 44:39Speaker 1: I being you? Tryd of get what I'm saying. Like
- 44:42Speaker 1: last week he was totally just Mr Swab and he
- 44:45Speaker 1: got the Rose I think because he was just, you know,
- 44:48Speaker 1: um like kind of sleeping her off her feet. This
- 44:51Speaker 1: week he was definitely more vulnerable. But like there this
- 44:56Speaker 1: might be like an attraction thing, like he's sweet and
- 45:00Speaker 1: she's attracted to him. She said she felt like she
- 45:03Speaker 1: was like flying. Oh. She said she felt like she
- 45:05Speaker 1: went down the hill of a roller coaster, which is like, whoa,
- 45:09Speaker 1: that's a that's a comparison. That's pretty powerful. But like,
- 45:13Speaker 1: I still want to see more of them. Definitely somebody
- 45:15Speaker 1: I need to see her on a one on one
- 45:17Speaker 1: way fair enough. I also want to see more of Romeo.
- 45:20Speaker 1: Romeo is me too because I think he's very he's attractive,
- 45:25Speaker 1: and he is very smart. But also does he have
- 45:28Speaker 1: an ego thing? Maybe maybe we just don't know about
- 45:31Speaker 1: it yet, But like every time he's on camera, you're like,
- 45:33Speaker 1: oh no, he makes sense, he's logical, he's smart, he's
- 45:36Speaker 1: he's great, and we just don't see anything about him.
- 45:38Speaker 1: There's like still guys and we say this every year,
- 45:40Speaker 1: there's still guys that I was looking at during the
- 45:42Speaker 1: road ceremony. That's like, I have no clue who you are.
- 45:44Speaker 1: I have not. But but we were intrigued by Romeo
- 45:48Speaker 1: because we think he might be a full package and
- 45:50Speaker 1: but we're not getting to know him. I can only
- 45:52Speaker 1: I can only think that we're not going to get
- 45:54Speaker 1: a lot of him. Yeah, but he's always on the
- 45:56Speaker 1: cuff of going cuss up, going home. So yeah, um,
- 46:00Speaker 1: well so we see then Brandon get the group day
- 46:03Speaker 1: rows second week in a row. He's safe, and we
- 46:05Speaker 1: go into the rose ceremony. Um, it is the cocktail
- 46:09Speaker 1: parties once again canceled. Michelle has done this two weeks
- 46:12Speaker 1: in a row. Fair enough, I get it. She's probably
- 46:14Speaker 1: just like I'm over it. I don't this. These cocktail
- 46:16Speaker 1: parties don't do much for many anyways. Um and Jamie.
- 46:21Speaker 1: As we've talked about at the beginning of this kind
- 46:23Speaker 1: of blew up. She sends Jamie home and then Ashley
- 46:26Speaker 1: who else went home this week during the ROAs ceremony. Well,
- 46:30Speaker 1: we know pizzneur. His name is Peter, by the way,
- 46:35Speaker 1: I just like to call him. Then we have Um,
- 46:41Speaker 1: Spencer friends Er who again don't know him, mo Leak
- 46:46Speaker 1: don't know him, and Brett I don't know him. Yeah.
- 46:50Speaker 1: So I mean I would say out of all of those, right,
- 46:52Speaker 1: Peter was a storyline and Spencer had his moments, Um,
- 46:57Speaker 1: but for the most part, not a shot. No shocking
- 47:00Speaker 1: exit here. I mean maybe Jamie getting sent home was
- 47:05Speaker 1: shocking to some, but definitely we all saw it coming
- 47:08Speaker 1: over the last couple of weeks. I'm just glad that
- 47:10Speaker 1: Michelle did it. When she did it, Um, I thought
- 47:14Speaker 1: that was a good move on her part to say, hey,
- 47:16Speaker 1: you know what, I'm done with this, get out of here.
- 47:18Speaker 1: I did too, but then I was like, I don't
- 47:20Speaker 1: get to hate watch him anymore. Yeah, but that's probably
- 47:23Speaker 1: good for my soul. Um. Yeah, it's good for me
- 47:26Speaker 1: as a human, and it's probably good for the podcast
- 47:29Speaker 1: because then we don't get to complain. And really, at
- 47:32Speaker 1: this point, actually there's nobody left, uh that I'm like
- 47:37Speaker 1: not neutral on or really high one at this point.
- 47:43Speaker 1: Like at this point I'm watching this going I like
- 47:45Speaker 1: these guys or I'm just neutral on them, but there's
- 47:48Speaker 1: nobody I'm like, oh, yeah, you are you are the worst.
- 47:51Speaker 1: You gotta get out of here. Well. We see a
- 47:53Speaker 1: sneak peek, though, and it sounds like things change. Michelle
- 47:56Speaker 1: says she's getting closer to finding her person, but we
- 47:59Speaker 1: see some draw that happened um with Chris in the house.
- 48:03Speaker 1: He kind of calls out the guys in front of everybody. Um,
- 48:06Speaker 1: I was watching a preview, actually, you said a couple
- 48:08Speaker 1: of weeks ago. I do feel like I'm gonna get
- 48:10Speaker 1: tired of seeing the same lobby of the hotel every
- 48:12Speaker 1: week for these Rose ceremonies. Okay, wait confused. I thought
- 48:16Speaker 1: they filmed this season in Minnesota. Same, it's not in Minnesota.
- 48:22Speaker 1: I thought the same thing. I remember the spoilers were like, oh,
- 48:26Speaker 1: they're getting the Minnesota hotel ready. I do believe they
- 48:30Speaker 1: eventually go there, but it looks like the first half
- 48:32Speaker 1: at least is here in pomp Springs. No clue that happened.
- 48:36Speaker 1: No clue, but the Rose ceremonies aren't extremely like aesthetically pleasing.
- 48:42Speaker 1: They're sitting in like a hotel lobby couch kind of
- 48:44Speaker 1: hanging out. There's like a stairwell behind them. Um, you
- 48:48Speaker 1: see the elevator the first time, where I'm like the
- 48:52Speaker 1: bats who doesn't look a whimsical. Now I'm excited for
- 48:54Speaker 1: the mansion to get used again during Clayton's season, which
- 48:57Speaker 1: kind of Oh it does get used, okay, the yeah,
- 49:00Speaker 1: that's right, that's good. I feel like they could have
- 49:02Speaker 1: done it this year, but who knows, who knows the rules?
- 49:04Speaker 1: But drama preview what we do see dramas start happening
- 49:10Speaker 1: for the next couple of weeks. What's the weird thing
- 49:11Speaker 1: about the preview Rick Like, she's looks like a one
- 49:15Speaker 1: on one day with Rick, and she's like making out
- 49:17Speaker 1: with him like she wants to, And I just do
- 49:19Speaker 1: not vibe that at this point. So I'm interested in
- 49:21Speaker 1: how it gets, how they get to that point. Yeah,
- 49:23Speaker 1: there's still a lot to happen here. We're just a
- 49:25Speaker 1: couple of weeks into Michelle's season of the Bachelorette. Um.
- 49:28Speaker 1: So far, it's been entertaining. She's been a great lead. Um.
- 49:33Speaker 1: She is inquisitive, she's curious, she's a lead, she's leading
- 49:38Speaker 1: the charge. I think she was a good choice. It's there.
- 49:41Speaker 1: It's very clear on why they chose her and uh,
- 49:44Speaker 1: and how great she's doing. I want her to end
- 49:46Speaker 1: up happy. Uh and um, but it's she uh to me,
- 49:51Speaker 1: Michelle will go down and at this point, like as
- 49:54Speaker 1: one of those iconic bachelorettes that we think of when
- 49:57Speaker 1: we think of the Bachelorette, she just she kind of
- 50:00Speaker 1: x it and she's good at it and she doesn't
- 50:02Speaker 1: she doesn't take crap from nobody. She teaches these guys
- 50:05Speaker 1: a lesson. And I hope there's a guy that steps
- 50:08Speaker 1: up to the plate, and I think there will be.
- 50:09Speaker 1: But um, Ashley, let's take a break. We'll be back
- 50:12Speaker 1: next week. I might be here. If not, I I'm
- 50:14Speaker 1: asking for your deepest uh apologies, um, because I am
- 50:19Speaker 1: going to be on my way to finding my or
- 50:21Speaker 1: finishing or starting what however you want to say. It
- 50:23Speaker 1: my love story. I'm gonna be on my way to
- 50:26Speaker 1: be getting married and I'm super pumped for that. But
- 50:28Speaker 1: let's take a break here. We still bachelor headlines to
- 50:30Speaker 1: go through. We'll be back with almost Finis podcast. It's
- 50:43Speaker 1: time for Bachelor Headlines with our resident expert Ashley I.
- 50:47Speaker 1: Kennedy breaking down everything going on a Bachelor Nation. It's
- 50:50Speaker 1: it's a slower week and headlines. Not a lot of
- 50:53Speaker 1: drama happening. Um. Obviously we have some headlines about Thomas
- 50:58Speaker 1: Jacobs and beck Is still being together and happy and
- 51:01Speaker 1: joking with each other. That's always cute, um bachelor lum. Though,
- 51:06Speaker 1: Gillian Anderson recalls feeling intense humiliation at the hands of
- 51:11Speaker 1: producers this according to US Weekly, I'm actually kind of
- 51:14Speaker 1: surprised by this. So she said that on Bachelor in Paradise,
- 51:18Speaker 1: like a producer said, like, your your butt is kind
- 51:21Speaker 1: of big, but like not in like an not in
- 51:23Speaker 1: an offensive way, but like, you know, it's a nice, round,
- 51:26Speaker 1: juicy butt type thing. So I mean, you know, that
- 51:29Speaker 1: could be inappropriate or not. It's up to you to decide.
- 51:32Speaker 1: But um, they said that because of that, things get
- 51:36Speaker 1: a little cheeky, so we had to blur it out.
- 51:38Speaker 1: Disney made us. She says that she doesn't believe this.
- 51:44Speaker 1: She said, instead of doing a little blur they did
- 51:46Speaker 1: a giant black bar really over exaggerated it. At the time,
- 51:51Speaker 1: Jillian really leaned into like the black box because she
- 51:55Speaker 1: was like the first black box, and now they do
- 51:56Speaker 1: black boxes all the time. Um. And she said that
- 51:59Speaker 1: like at that point, she she was like experiencing like
- 52:04Speaker 1: a huge level of humiliation that she thought, like she
- 52:09Speaker 1: thought she could be prepared for, but she really wasn't.
- 52:12Speaker 1: She says, I don't think any contestant understands before going
- 52:15Speaker 1: on how bad it's actually gonna be. She should you
- 52:18Speaker 1: remember crying over it and her dad being upset over it. Um.
- 52:24Speaker 1: And she said, at some point afterward, I was able
- 52:27Speaker 1: to laugh about it when things started changing. By at
- 52:30Speaker 1: that point, like initially I was totally humiliated. I was
- 52:34Speaker 1: so new into it, and I was so overwhelmed by
- 52:38Speaker 1: the making of posts and the talk and Jimmy Kimmel
- 52:41Speaker 1: and the soup and everybody's making fun of it. Um.
- 52:46Speaker 1: You know, she goes, my butt was nice. Um. And
- 52:49Speaker 1: it wasn't a scandalous bikini by any means. It was
- 52:52Speaker 1: a normal one. I get it. I understand how she'd
- 52:55Speaker 1: be upset, especially because she worked so hard for that.
- 52:59Speaker 1: But it off you guys show it off well. Um,
- 53:02Speaker 1: interesting headline. And obviously she's on the nineteenth season of
- 53:06Speaker 1: the Batchelor. So it's been a few years. Um. But
- 53:08Speaker 1: the next timeline is this It's about Bachelor live on stage,
- 53:11Speaker 1: which I know a lot about. It's back, Um. The
- 53:14Speaker 1: tour will start in hosted by Becca Kouffrin. Yes, so
- 53:19Speaker 1: I told about Bana Koufren, who was your co host
- 53:22Speaker 1: on the road. So now begs the question, where are
- 53:25Speaker 1: you on this tour? I got fired? No, Um, No,
- 53:32Speaker 1: I did not get fired. They did, ask Um. Obviously
- 53:36Speaker 1: the tour was super fun. Uh, and I really love
- 53:39Speaker 1: doing it with Becca. But I'm getting married, Um, as
- 53:44Speaker 1: we've talked about, and as you've heard me say probably
- 53:46Speaker 1: ten times on this podcast. UM, I'm also I'm going
- 53:50Speaker 1: on my dream trip, my bucket list trip with Jessica
- 53:53Speaker 1: and my parents to Israel in March of next year. Um.
- 53:59Speaker 1: We're gonna be there for over ten days, and it's
- 54:02Speaker 1: just we've all planned it it's been in the works
- 54:04Speaker 1: for months, and I it actually is. The trip starts
- 54:09Speaker 1: UH during the first week of tour, so as they're
- 54:12Speaker 1: doing like prep for tour, and then goes through like
- 54:14Speaker 1: the first full week of the tour into the next
- 54:18Speaker 1: and I would probably have to come back pack my bags,
- 54:20Speaker 1: jump right back out and go on a bus. And
- 54:23Speaker 1: I was willing to do that, and we all decided
- 54:26Speaker 1: that it probably it was not the best idea for
- 54:30Speaker 1: me UM and the tour to kind of have me
- 54:33Speaker 1: trying to step in and learn it as I hosted it.
- 54:35Speaker 1: And so as a result, I plan on stopping in
- 54:40Speaker 1: UM at a random places and probably um jumping out
- 54:44Speaker 1: on stage and trying to support Becca. But this is
- 54:46Speaker 1: Becca's show now, UM, and she's gonna be hitting the road,
- 54:49Speaker 1: and I'm excited for She's gonna do great UM, but
- 54:53Speaker 1: I do feel like it could be a little lonely,
- 54:55Speaker 1: like when you step out on stage in a random
- 54:57Speaker 1: city that you know three people show up too. In
- 54:59Speaker 1: a five I was in person auditorium and you're like,
- 55:02Speaker 1: I can't laugh at this with anybody, or I can't
- 55:04Speaker 1: even like get pumped with this with anybody. Like she's
- 55:06Speaker 1: gonna be like, it's gonna be really hard to host
- 55:08Speaker 1: that live show solo. Yeah, I think it won't be easy,
- 55:11Speaker 1: but I mean I think she can do. I think
- 55:12Speaker 1: she'll do I know she'll she can do it. I
- 55:14Speaker 1: s'll do great at it. Um. But there is that
- 55:17Speaker 1: level of like camaraderie when you're out on stage with
- 55:19Speaker 1: somebody else where you're like, hey, maybe tonight we have
- 55:22Speaker 1: ten thousand people in the audience and it's packed sold out,
- 55:24Speaker 1: and then tomorrow we're gonna show up to a town
- 55:26Speaker 1: and nobody's gonna come because the small town, it's on
- 55:28Speaker 1: a weird night. Those are when it's gonna get hard, um,
- 55:32Speaker 1: because I just think you get down and you have
- 55:33Speaker 1: to keep your energy up every night. Now solo one
- 55:36Speaker 1: can't pick up the other. So she's hitting the road
- 55:39Speaker 1: and you should check them out the tour start. It's
- 55:42Speaker 1: worth going to see. It's fun, it's uh, it's entertaining,
- 55:44Speaker 1: it's it's funny to laugh at. Obviously, the show will
- 55:47Speaker 1: look different than the one I was a part of.
- 55:50Speaker 1: I don't know the format of this show. They're changing
- 55:52Speaker 1: things up a bit where I don't think it's gonna
- 55:54Speaker 1: be a local Bachelor with local bachelorettes. I think it's
- 55:56Speaker 1: gonna be like a contestants more operating on stage. I
- 56:00Speaker 1: don't know fully what that looks like. But if you are,
- 56:03Speaker 1: if you enjoy Bachelor Nation and you want to have
- 56:06Speaker 1: a night out with some friends, this is a place
- 56:08Speaker 1: to go hang out and watch. Um they're hitting the
- 56:10Speaker 1: road again, I won't be there. So so Ben was
- 56:14Speaker 1: it wasn't just the trip. It was also the fact that,
- 56:16Speaker 1: like you just wanted to enjoy married life at home. Yes, yeah,
- 56:19Speaker 1: I mean think about it, like two months after getting married,
- 56:22Speaker 1: I'm now gone and with covid um spouses are gonna
- 56:26Speaker 1: be able to go on the bus bus Yeah. So
- 56:30Speaker 1: I mean for then, like I don't know, forty days straight,
- 56:35Speaker 1: i'd be away hitting the road and doing this like
- 56:38Speaker 1: it just to me. I wanted to enjoy these few
- 56:41Speaker 1: months with Jess as a married couple, and like I said,
- 56:45Speaker 1: I want to show up. Maybe I will, Um, I
- 56:47Speaker 1: don't know yet, but it is a big deal in
- 56:49Speaker 1: my life. This is a huge part of my life.
- 56:51Speaker 1: It was. It was a big source of income and
- 56:53Speaker 1: then also just like fun to meet all all the
- 56:55Speaker 1: random people. Um. So it is sad and I am
- 56:58Speaker 1: sad about I saw the announcement, I was like, dang,
- 57:00Speaker 1: you know, um, but you know, life moves on. I've
- 57:04Speaker 1: got coffee to sell, I've got I've got a lot
- 57:06Speaker 1: of coffee to hustle here. That makes sense. I wonder
- 57:09Speaker 1: why they didn't pick another co host, Rebecca. I wonder
- 57:12Speaker 1: why too. Maybe they will. We'll see how it starts. Um,
- 57:15Speaker 1: but she's gonna do great. I do want to say that. Well, uh,
- 57:18Speaker 1: here's the thing um. Final headline Batchettes. Katie Thurston tears
- 57:23Speaker 1: up while venting about Blake Moyne's break up Disaccording to
- 57:26Speaker 1: e So, she got on Instagram live and she captioned
- 57:30Speaker 1: it just venting. She says, obviously a public relationship ending
- 57:35Speaker 1: is really sty It's a thing to navigate. But you
- 57:39Speaker 1: guys have been kind and supportive and I just want
- 57:42Speaker 1: to say thank you for being that way to me
- 57:44Speaker 1: into Blake and just being understanding. She said that she
- 57:49Speaker 1: felt like people hold too much way to things that
- 57:52Speaker 1: don't matter and stress the importance of pursuing happiness. She
- 57:55Speaker 1: said that sometimes a couple stay in relationships because they
- 57:59Speaker 1: put so much time, have an effort into them, um,
- 58:01Speaker 1: and they just keep waiting for new results, hoping things
- 58:04Speaker 1: will change once they get married or have kids. She said,
- 58:07Speaker 1: while the split was difficult and the public scrutiny doesn't help,
- 58:11Speaker 1: it's a tough thing to navigate because of course people
- 58:13Speaker 1: question the authenticity of the love in the relationship. And
- 58:18Speaker 1: she said for those people passing judgment, like I can
- 58:20Speaker 1: only hope to be so lucky as you to find
- 58:24Speaker 1: you're forever love on the first time. You know, But
- 58:28Speaker 1: ending a relationship isn't something new, UM, Ending an engagement
- 58:33Speaker 1: isn't something new. Divorce is not something new. And I
- 58:36Speaker 1: think Blake and I were very fortunate enough to recognize
- 58:40Speaker 1: things early and they made the right decision for them.
- 58:45Speaker 1: She says, it doesn't come with its own challenges. We're
- 58:49Speaker 1: still processing a lot lots of waves of emotion. Well, Uh,
- 58:53Speaker 1: breakups are tough, especially in the public eye, worse than
- 58:56Speaker 1: the best two of them as they move forward. We
- 58:59Speaker 1: mean it, It sucks, and there is criticism, there's judgment.
- 59:03Speaker 1: There's words in around UM. And if you want more
- 59:06Speaker 1: inside of that, just feel free to pick up my
- 59:08Speaker 1: book Alone in Plain Sight, anywhere you can buy a book. Hey, Ashley,
- 59:12Speaker 1: what a great episode. UM. I hope to be back
- 59:15Speaker 1: next week. If I'm not, uh, hold down the fort
- 59:18Speaker 1: for us until I get back. And if you are,
- 59:21Speaker 1: I will come with more wedding questions perfect unlike your predictions.
- 59:25Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, I like that, so we can play them
- 59:28Speaker 1: back and they'll be silly. I like the backless uh
- 59:30Speaker 1: no shoulder dress idea. Um, you're the best. Dash Well, Hey,
- 59:36Speaker 1: thank you all for listening. Uh in with that, I've
- 59:39Speaker 1: been been, I've been Ashley, thanks for listening, guys by
