- 0:16Speaker 1: with your host, Mr. His Hop.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Are you ready? Are we on the air?
- 0:28Speaker 3: Broadcasting live from the headquarters.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Club Hitchhike. Las Vegas.
- 0:37Speaker 4: Looks like you lost another one.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Well, what's up, what's up, what's up? Hey, what's going on, everybody?
- 0:57Speaker 2: Welcome back to the Hitchhike Radio Podcast. We present our
- 1:02Speaker 2: verse by verse Bible study here online where we go
- 1:07Speaker 2: through the word one chapter, one verse at a time.
- 1:11Speaker 2: This is episode 61 in the book of Jeremiah. And
- 1:17Speaker 2: today we're going to continue in chapter 23, starting at
- 1:21Speaker 2: verse 16. And we're going to go to verse 20. Amen.
- 1:26Speaker 3: Lord willing.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Now, in our previous episode, God exposed the prophets who
- 1:32Speaker 2: were lying. They were living in sin and they were
- 1:36Speaker 2: leading people away from God. So now God gives Jeremiah
- 1:43Speaker 2: a direct warning to the people themselves, right? It's not
- 1:49Speaker 2: enough just to deal with the leaders. You are accountable
- 1:53Speaker 2: if you follow the wrong leader as well. Because these leaders,
- 2:00Speaker 2: they were giving the people comfort in their sin. They
- 2:04Speaker 2: were giving them messages of comfort while they were living
- 2:07Speaker 2: a life of rebellion. They were telling everyone that they
- 2:13Speaker 2: would be fine, that everything will be okay. In reality,
- 2:19Speaker 2: they were at war with God and this is a
- 2:22Speaker 2: dangerous setting. A lot of people don't understand that. That
- 2:27Speaker 2: to be friends with this world is to be at
- 2:31Speaker 2: enmity with God. People don't realize that when Jesus says,
- 2:36Speaker 2: if you're not for me, you are against me. There
- 2:40Speaker 2: is no middle ground. You're either a friend of God
- 2:45Speaker 2: or you are his enemy.
- 2:49Speaker 5: Amen.
- 2:49Speaker 2: So we're going to explore that. We're going to get
- 2:51Speaker 2: into that in today's episode, but also. We want to
- 2:55Speaker 2: invite you to join us in a live chat. We
- 2:58Speaker 2: log in every day, 11 o'clock a.m. Pacific Standard Time.
- 3:03Speaker 2: We are here to encourage you, to pray for you,
- 3:06Speaker 2: to pray with you, and to hold you accountable. It's
- 3:12Speaker 2: good to have somebody who can speak God's word directly
- 3:16Speaker 2: into what you're dealing with. You can speak God's word
- 3:21Speaker 2: over temptation, Every temptation, God gives us a way of escape.
- 3:26Speaker 6: Amen.
- 3:27Speaker 2: We can speak God's word concerning our identity. We are
- 3:31Speaker 2: sons of the kingdom. Even the world will try to
- 3:34Speaker 2: beat us down and make us believe that we're nothing
- 3:37Speaker 2: and worthless. God says that we are a peculiar treasure
- 3:42Speaker 2: and we need to be confronting ourselves consistently. Just like
- 3:47Speaker 2: we said yesterday on the other episode, right? We have
- 3:52Speaker 2: to hold Constantly look in the mirror of the word
- 3:56Speaker 2: and evaluate where we are. Amen. And we cannot grow complacent.
- 4:03Speaker 2: You may not be out there living a wicked life
- 4:05Speaker 2: of sin in the club, doing drugs. You may not
- 4:10Speaker 2: be violent and things like that, but we can just
- 4:12Speaker 2: be complacent and still miss the kingdom. There are so
- 4:18Speaker 2: many things we need to guard our hearts for. And
- 4:21Speaker 2: so that's why it's good to have that accountability partner. Amen.
- 4:26Speaker 2: So download the app. H-I-S-H-O-P is on radio and all platforms.
- 4:33Speaker 2: Go to the top left menu. Hit that drop down.

- 4:40Speaker 2: only takes a few seconds. It's easy and quick to register.
- 4:44Speaker 2: It was up to us. We'll give you a shout out.
- 4:47Speaker 2: And also we want you to go to our community,
- 4:50Speaker 2: go down a little further on that menu, click on
- 4:53Speaker 2: the community. That's where you're going to find our trivia challenge,
- 4:57Speaker 2: our accountability partner. We're moving a lot of things over
- 5:02Speaker 2: there as far as our games and stuff like that,
- 5:05Speaker 2: because we can do a little more in the community.
- 5:07Speaker 2: We can post videos and pictures and we want you
- 5:10Speaker 2: guys to post videos, pics. We want to make it
- 5:13Speaker 2: an actual online community. Share some of your life. You
- 5:17Speaker 2: know what I mean? We know how social media works,
- 5:19Speaker 2: but we're doing this to further the kingdom. You never
- 5:23Speaker 2: know who you might bless when you post. So, all right,
- 5:30Speaker 2: let's go before the father and prayer of the father.
- 5:32Speaker 2: We thank you for this opportunity. We thank you for
- 5:35Speaker 2: this platform where we can focus on your word. We
- 5:40Speaker 2: thank you for your grace that you give us every day. Father,
- 5:43Speaker 2: if any of us are living in complacency or if
- 5:45Speaker 2: there's any sin, if there's anything in us that is
- 5:49Speaker 2: not pleasing you, oh God, please expose it and help
- 5:53Speaker 2: us to confess it and forsake it. Lord, we do
- 5:56Speaker 2: not want to be your enemy. Oh Lord, we ask
- 5:59Speaker 2: that you will call us your friend. Help us to
- 6:03Speaker 2: be the people who are diligent, oh God, and not
- 6:07Speaker 2: complacent to look into your word and to obey it,
- 6:10Speaker 2: oh God. And we can only do this through your grace.
- 6:14Speaker 2: We ask that you bless every listener who tunes in
- 6:17Speaker 2: and downloads and listens and likes and subscribes and all
- 6:21Speaker 2: that good stuff to this podcast and this platform. We
- 6:25Speaker 2: ask this in Jesus' mighty name. Amen. Okay, beloved. Well,
- 6:35Speaker 2: let's get into it. Jeremiah chapter 16. I'm sorry, chapter 23.
- 6:43Speaker 2: We're going to pick it up in verse 16. And
- 6:47Speaker 2: it says, thus says the Lord of hosts. Right. That
- 6:54Speaker 2: says the Lord of hosts. Now, I love it when
- 6:59Speaker 2: the Lord describes his title and describes who he is.
- 7:06Speaker 2: This is telling you where this message is coming from.
- 7:09Speaker 2: The authority is. behind the word that we are about
- 7:13Speaker 2: to read. It says, do not listen to the words
- 7:17Speaker 2: of the prophets who prophesied to you and make you worthless. They,
- 7:25Speaker 2: they speak a vision of their own heart, not from
- 7:30Speaker 2: the mouth of the Lord. Wow. So let's break this down.
- 7:36Speaker 2: This is pretty strong right here. God tells the people,
- 7:40Speaker 2: Harken not or do not listen. The old King James
- 7:45Speaker 2: is harken not. Do not listen to these prophets. So
- 7:51Speaker 2: that is a powerful command coming straight from the Lord
- 7:57Speaker 2: of hosts. Now, why should they listen? Because the prophets
- 8:04Speaker 2: were speaking from their own hearts. rather than from the
- 8:09Speaker 2: mouth of the Lord. That is one reason why I
- 8:14Speaker 2: do a verse-by-verse, chapter-by-chapter study, because there is a famine
- 8:21Speaker 2: of the Word of God in the land. When you
- 8:25Speaker 2: go to church today, sad to say, you really don't
- 8:29Speaker 2: get that much of the Word. I believe that every
- 8:33Speaker 2: church should adopt this somehow, have a systematic study through
- 8:37Speaker 2: the word of God, because that's what the people need.
- 8:40Speaker 2: And this is the only way that we will grow
- 8:43Speaker 2: is by understanding his word and by applying his word.
- 8:50Speaker 2: How can we be Christ-like if we don't know what
- 8:52Speaker 2: Christ likes? Amen. And so there's a lot of pastors,
- 8:57Speaker 2: a lot of ministers that are teaching their own hearts
- 9:00Speaker 2: and And it happened back then and it happens today. Right.
- 9:12Speaker 2: They had their own vision. They had their own message
- 9:15Speaker 2: and they had their own ideas. Instead of serving God,
- 9:19Speaker 2: they made themselves God. But they were presenting those ideas
- 9:26Speaker 2: as if they came from God. They wanted the authority.
- 9:29Speaker 2: They wanted to borrow God. to further their own agendas, right?
- 9:36Speaker 2: That is one of the biggest dangers in spiritual leadership.
- 9:40Speaker 2: It's possible to have a strong opinion and put God's
- 9:45Speaker 2: name on it. You can say, God told me or
- 9:53Speaker 2: God said this or that when God never even spoke
- 9:56Speaker 2: to you. You can take your personal preference and turn
- 10:01Speaker 2: it into a spiritual command and this is one of
- 10:06Speaker 2: my passions and one of the reasons why I do
- 10:10Speaker 2: teach the word is because I was caught up in
- 10:14Speaker 2: my early 20s in a church just like this. We
- 10:17Speaker 2: had a leader who It was actually a fellowship. So
- 10:20Speaker 2: we had multiple churches around the country. The mother church
- 10:26Speaker 2: was in Prescott, Arizona. And he would use his preference
- 10:34Speaker 2: as commands. And he would tell all the churches, you
- 10:37Speaker 2: can't watch TV. Take the TV out of your house.
- 10:40Speaker 2: You can't go to the movies. You can't do this.
- 10:43Speaker 2: You can't have a goatee. You can't do this and
- 10:46Speaker 2: can't do that. And it became very legalistic. And I
- 10:51Speaker 2: learned like, okay, you can't put your personal preference on
- 10:55Speaker 2: my life. I can't put my personal preference on your life.
- 10:59Speaker 2: If I like Coke and you like Pepsi because I'm
- 11:03Speaker 2: your pastor, I can't force you to drink Coke. And
- 11:08Speaker 2: I've seen it done. It wasn't done exactly like that.
- 11:12Speaker 2: That's a little extreme, but I've, been to fellowships. I've
- 11:17Speaker 2: been to people's houses where they said, well, pastor doesn't
- 11:19Speaker 2: like Pepsi. So I don't drink Pepsi anymore. I'm like, what? Like,
- 11:26Speaker 2: I mean, where's the Kool-Aid? You know what I'm saying? Like,
- 11:29Speaker 2: I mean, it never, I don't know. I need to
- 11:34Speaker 2: write a book, but I never thrived in that setting.
- 11:38Speaker 2: I was miserable in that fellowship. I was there for
- 11:41Speaker 2: almost like 13 years, but I didn't know anything else
- 11:46Speaker 2: at the time. Until I started studying the word, I
- 11:49Speaker 2: started to see where even the church was lying, right?
- 11:53Speaker 2: That's why we got to be careful. That's why I'm
- 11:56Speaker 2: passionate to do verse studies because I want to hear
- 12:00Speaker 2: directly from the Lord because churches and pastors can lie
- 12:06Speaker 2: to us. Now, of course, these are false churches and
- 12:09Speaker 2: false pastors and God has faithful men and women who
- 12:13Speaker 2: are serving him. We just have to ask the Lord
- 12:16Speaker 2: to bring us to them because they're becoming more of
- 12:21Speaker 2: the exception and not the rule anymore, which it should
- 12:25Speaker 2: be normal. It should be a normal thing for us
- 12:28Speaker 2: to walk in church today and hear the truth of
- 12:31Speaker 2: God's word so that we could repent and get saved. Right.
- 12:36Speaker 5: Right.
- 12:38Speaker 2: But sorry, that is not the case. They take personal
- 12:45Speaker 2: preference and turn it into spiritual commands. They can take
- 12:49Speaker 2: your feelings and call them revelation. The Mormons do that.
- 12:54Speaker 2: They speak of the burning of the bosom to confirm
- 12:59Speaker 2: the truth of their teaching. That is dangerous. You never
- 13:04Speaker 2: trust your senses when it comes to spiritual things. Not
- 13:10Speaker 2: everything spiritual is from God. Don't forget we have an
- 13:21Speaker 2: enemy out there, a spiritual enemy that likes to counterfeit
- 13:25Speaker 2: the things of God. That's why today we really need
- 13:30Speaker 2: to pray for discernment.
- 13:35Speaker 5: Amen.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Verse 17, they continually say to those who despise me
- 13:42Speaker 2: Lord has said you shall have peace and to everyone
- 13:48Speaker 2: who walks according to the dictates of his own heart
- 13:54Speaker 2: they say no evil shall come upon you now we've
- 14:00Speaker 2: encountered this statement before walking to the dictates of our
- 14:04Speaker 2: own hearts how many people can you think of today
- 14:09Speaker 2: who that do this. How many of us do this?
- 14:17Speaker 2: It's easy to forget God's word and follow the dictates
- 14:24Speaker 2: of our own hearts. I pray that this will be
- 14:31Speaker 2: a life-changing episode for all of us.
- 14:34Speaker 3: Amen.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Because they... Say still unto them that despise me, the
- 14:44Speaker 2: Lord has said, ye shall have peace. And they say
- 14:47Speaker 2: unto everyone that walketh after the imagination of his own heart,
- 14:53Speaker 2: no evil shall come upon you. Now that was the
- 14:56Speaker 2: King James. You shall have peace. No evil shall come
- 15:01Speaker 2: upon you. But these were not promises of God. God
- 15:10Speaker 2: did not promise this to the people. The prophets were
- 15:14Speaker 2: telling rebellious people that everything was going to be fine.
- 15:18Speaker 2: They were giving people reassurance without repentance. How many people
- 15:27Speaker 2: are doing that today to our own country? The United
- 15:31Speaker 2: States of America, we need to wake up as a
- 15:35Speaker 2: nation because we could lose our peace instantly. Look at
- 15:43Speaker 2: what happened to 9-11. If we continue in a state
- 15:48Speaker 2: of rebellion against God, there is nothing wrong with preaching
- 15:56Speaker 2: hope to people. The Bible itself is full of hope,
- 16:02Speaker 2: but biblical hope never requires us to ignore sins. Now,
- 16:09Speaker 2: there's a difference between saying God will forgive you when
- 16:13Speaker 2: you repent and saying you don't need to repent. Everything
- 16:18Speaker 2: is fine. We need to understand the difference. The first
- 16:25Speaker 2: one is biblical grace. The second one is false comfort.
- 16:30Speaker 2: Grace does not excuse sin. Grace calls us out of sin.
- 16:37Speaker 2: The Bible says that it's the grace of God that
- 16:40Speaker 2: teaches us to turn away from ungodliness and worldly lust.
- 16:45Speaker 2: That is the power of God's grace. It's not a
- 16:49Speaker 2: license to continue to sin and say, oh, God will
- 16:53Speaker 2: forgive me. God will cover me. That is a wicked
- 16:58Speaker 2: and horrible habit to have. And I've been there, beloved.
- 17:02Speaker 2: And to be honest, I struggle with it is still today.
- 17:09Speaker 2: I mean, not like it was before, you know, before
- 17:12Speaker 2: I was, you know, in gross sin trying to live
- 17:16Speaker 2: for God. But now it's like the small things like
- 17:19Speaker 2: eating that candy bar when I shouldn't and things like that.
- 17:24Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying? Not to try to justify
- 17:28Speaker 2: my foolishness. Anytime we abuse God's grace, it's serious. Amen.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Verse 17. They continue, say to those who despise me,
- 17:44Speaker 2: the Lord has said you shall have peace. Okay, I'm sorry,
- 17:51Speaker 2: we already read verse 17. Let's go to verse 18,
- 17:59Speaker 2: I believe. Okay, verse 18. For who has stood in
- 18:04Speaker 2: the counsel of the Lord and has perceived and heard
- 18:09Speaker 2: his word? who has marked his word and heard it.
- 18:13Speaker 2: All right. Who has stood in the council of the
- 18:21Speaker 2: Lord that has perceived and heard his word, who has
- 18:26Speaker 2: marked his word, hearing it. Excuse me. I'm just going
- 18:32Speaker 2: from the new King James to the old King James
- 18:34Speaker 2: just to compare it. But God is asking a challenging
- 18:39Speaker 2: question right here. Who actually stood in the counsel of
- 18:42Speaker 2: the Lord? In other words, who really heard from God? Now,
- 18:50Speaker 2: here's the implication. The implication is that those prophets were
- 18:58Speaker 2: claiming divine authority without actually receiving God's word. And that's
- 19:06Speaker 2: a sad place to be. That's bold. That is bold.
- 19:11Speaker 2: I mean, like, do you fear God at all? Do
- 19:15Speaker 2: you fear God at all? Man. But this is why
- 19:21Speaker 2: we should be careful and not be impressed simply because
- 19:26Speaker 2: someone speaks confidently. Someone can come to you with confidence
- 19:32Speaker 2: and authority and speak boldly. Confidence doesn't prove divine authority.
- 19:41Speaker 2: It doesn't validate whether it's from God or not. Now,
- 19:48Speaker 2: a big platform doesn't prove divine authority either. A title
- 19:55Speaker 2: doesn't prove divine authority. Even a large following doesn't prove
- 20:02Speaker 2: divine authority either. Even speaking religiously, religious language does not
- 20:10Speaker 2: prove divine authority. The message must be tested against the
- 20:18Speaker 2: word of God. Amen. So if someone comes to you,
- 20:23Speaker 2: they may have influence. They may have money, position, power, title, education,
- 20:29Speaker 2: all this stuff. But if they're not speaking in accordance
- 20:36Speaker 2: with God's word, then we can disregard it immediately. Don't
- 20:42Speaker 2: give it an inch. Verse 19, behold, a whirlwind of
- 20:52Speaker 2: the Lord has gone forth in fury, a violent whirlwind.
- 20:58Speaker 2: It will fall violently on the head of the wicked. Now,
- 21:04Speaker 2: these are some of the promises of God. that we
- 21:08Speaker 2: wish were not in the Bible. Like, yeah, you know,
- 21:14Speaker 2: we can get those promise books, but we just want
- 21:17Speaker 2: the blessings, but we don't want to look at the warnings, right?
- 21:22Speaker 2: It says, behold, a whirlwind of the Lord is gone
- 21:26Speaker 2: forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind. Now, the false prophets,
- 21:35Speaker 2: they were promising peace, God says judgment was actually coming.
- 21:41Speaker 2: It's like coming in a whirlwind. Now a whirlwind could
- 21:44Speaker 2: be coming right at you. And you can have a
- 21:49Speaker 2: pastor or some uneducated Christian or even an unbeliever tell you, oh,
- 21:59Speaker 2: everything will be fine. You shall have peace when disaster
- 22:05Speaker 2: and destruction is coming for you now. You can see
- 22:09Speaker 2: the hand of the enemy. He wants us to be
- 22:14Speaker 2: judged by God. That's his ultimate goal. That is his
- 22:17Speaker 2: ultimate touchdown is to destroy your life and put you
- 22:22Speaker 2: in a place where God will have no choice but
- 22:26Speaker 2: to judge and destroy us. If we grow complacent about
- 22:32Speaker 2: God's word, if we don't diligently seek him, if we
- 22:36Speaker 2: don't diligently study him, Let us not allow this temporary
- 22:41Speaker 2: world that is passing away to distract us from what
- 22:47Speaker 2: truly matters. Our priority is God and our relationship with him.
- 22:56Speaker 2: The people were being prepared for the wrong reality. They
- 23:02Speaker 2: were living in the dreamland and Satan's number one weapon
- 23:05Speaker 2: is deception. Do not trust the dictates. Of your own heart.
- 23:12Speaker 2: Trust in the word. Alright. This is our final verse.
- 23:20Speaker 2: Verse 20. The anger of the Lord. Will not turn back.
- 23:26Speaker 2: Until he has executed. And performed. The thoughts of his heart.
- 23:34Speaker 2: In the latter days. You will understand. It perfectly. What
- 23:42Speaker 2: does it say in the old King James? The anger
- 23:45Speaker 2: of the Lord shall not return until he has executed,
- 23:50Speaker 2: until he has performed the thoughts of his heart. In
- 23:55Speaker 2: the latter days, you shall consider it perfectly. All right,
- 24:01Speaker 2: let's break this down. Now, God's judgment would not simply
- 24:07Speaker 2: disappear because people wanted to hear a comforting message his
- 24:13Speaker 2: word will be fulfilled so eventually the people would understand
- 24:21Speaker 2: exactly what God had been saying what God has been
- 24:27Speaker 2: telling them now there is a danger of prophets who
- 24:37Speaker 2: speak from their own imagination while claiming to speak They
- 24:45Speaker 2: were giving people messages of peace and prosperity when God
- 24:50Speaker 2: was actually warning them of coming judgment. So the problem
- 24:58Speaker 2: wasn't that the people wanted hope. The problem was that
- 25:04Speaker 2: they were receiving false hope. So a true messenger of
- 25:12Speaker 2: God must faithfully deliver God's word, even when the message
- 25:19Speaker 2: may be difficult.
- 25:23Speaker 3: Amen.
- 25:24Speaker 2: Jeremiah had a difficult ministry. And if I'm not mistaken,
- 25:30Speaker 2: he did not win that one disciple. The whole nation
- 25:36Speaker 2: fell and went into judgment. So there's a lesson here
- 25:42Speaker 2: for both the person speaking and the person who is listening.
- 25:49Speaker 2: We are still held accountable. Now you would think that
- 25:53Speaker 2: God would punish the false prophet, even if the person
- 25:59Speaker 2: listening was innocent. Or can I say, I mean, nobody's
- 26:05Speaker 2: truly innocent, right? The Bible says all of sin and
- 26:08Speaker 2: falling short of the glory of God. So There's no
- 26:11Speaker 2: such thing as a good person who's going to get
- 26:14Speaker 2: into the kingdom by their own good merit. That person
- 26:17Speaker 2: does not exist. We all need to come to repentance,
- 26:20Speaker 2: but I mean, let's say if you're a babe in Christ, right?
- 26:26Speaker 2: That's why I have such a passion to protect the babes.
- 26:29Speaker 2: Those are just starting off in their walk. You can
- 26:33Speaker 2: listen to a false teacher and a false prophet and
- 26:37Speaker 2: you can be judged even though you were ignorant or
- 26:44Speaker 2: didn't have the full understanding, there's still an accountability concerning
- 26:50Speaker 2: who you listen to, who you allow to pour into you.
- 26:59Speaker 2: So if you're speaking for God, don't add your own
- 27:02Speaker 2: ideas and call them God's word. That is a no-no.
- 27:09Speaker 2: And if you're listening to Don't accept something simply because
- 27:13Speaker 2: it sounds good. Test it. Search the scripture and pray.
- 27:20Speaker 2: Use discernment and be willing to hear something that challenges you.
- 27:28Speaker 2: Because sometimes the truth won't make you feel comfortable, but
- 27:32Speaker 2: sometimes the truth will tell you to change, to repent.
- 27:39Speaker 2: to forgive, to stop, to go, to obey. And that
- 27:47Speaker 2: is God's love. Amen. He wants to be your counselor
- 27:51Speaker 2: and he wants to guide your life. In my personal
- 27:59Speaker 2: testimony on this, I was saved at the young age
- 28:05Speaker 2: of 15 years old when I heard the gospel. It
- 28:09Speaker 2: was powerful. And I can remember, shout out to Bonita.
- 28:15Speaker 2: She was the one who led me to the Lord.
- 28:18Speaker 2: And the words she gave me actually helped me to
- 28:21Speaker 2: be saved today. She told me that when I go
- 28:24Speaker 2: back with my friends, they're going to try to talk
- 28:26Speaker 2: me out of my decision to follow God. And sure enough,
- 28:32Speaker 2: it happened. My friends confronted me and they tried to
- 28:35Speaker 2: convince me. to abandon my faith but because of that
- 28:47Speaker 2: I was able to stick with it but also there
- 28:50Speaker 2: was another doctrine that she believed in and that she
- 28:54Speaker 2: taught and as a new convert as a babe in
- 28:58Speaker 2: Christ I couldn't wholeheartedly accept it even though I didn't
- 29:07Speaker 2: know the Bible that well, even though I was sitting
- 29:10Speaker 2: under her teaching. But she taught a doctrine called Once Saved,
- 29:15Speaker 2: Always Saved. That's how I came to the faith. As
- 29:21Speaker 2: a 15th first time ever hearing the gospel, she would
- 29:25Speaker 2: bring out material teachings from the pastor Charles Stanley, which
- 29:33Speaker 2: he championed that doctrine, Once Saved, Always Saved. And in
- 29:38Speaker 2: the back of my mind, I always said to myself
- 29:41Speaker 2: I'm going to be judged before God that is God
- 29:45Speaker 2: has to be my ultimate authority on this I can't
- 29:49Speaker 2: fully just trust what she's telling me I'm not going
- 29:53Speaker 2: to let what somebody tells me to jeopardize my salvation
- 30:02Speaker 2: in my day of judgment before the Lord. So I
- 30:05Speaker 2: never fully embraced that one saves always save doctrine because
- 30:10Speaker 2: it tells people they don't have to change, right? Then
- 30:15Speaker 2: why have the Bible? Why have such a big Bible?
- 30:18Speaker 2: The Bible should just be one page. Repeat, give your
- 30:22Speaker 2: life to God, say a prayer and you're fine. Why
- 30:26Speaker 2: does the Bible have so much instruction? Like even today,
- 30:29Speaker 2: Don't listen to the false prophets and come return to me.
- 30:34Speaker 2: It's so easy for us to stray away from God.
- 30:37Speaker 2: Do not follow the dictates of your own heart. Why
- 30:41Speaker 2: are these messages in the Bible? If once saved, always
- 30:47Speaker 2: saved was accurate. And I believe a lot of people
- 30:53Speaker 2: are going to miss the kingdom because they don't understand sanctification.
- 30:58Speaker 2: That means we need to separate ourselves from sin. We
- 31:01Speaker 2: need to consecrate ourselves unto God. The grace of God
- 31:06Speaker 2: teaches us to deny ungodliness and worldly lust. We are
- 31:10Speaker 2: at war with our flesh. We are at world. We
- 31:14Speaker 2: are at war with the world. And we are at
- 31:18Speaker 2: war with the devil and his army. Our ally is
- 31:23Speaker 2: the Holy Spirit. The word of God. In the spirit, man,
- 31:30Speaker 2: that as we birth in us, the Bible promises us
- 31:34Speaker 2: that if we walk in the spirit, we will not
- 31:38Speaker 2: fulfill the lustful desires of our flesh. And Jesus himself
- 31:43Speaker 2: give us victory over Satan. So, beloved, I want you
- 31:50Speaker 2: to be victorious in this battle, this day to day
- 31:53Speaker 2: battle we're in. With that, it's time for a break.
- 31:58Speaker 6: You are listening to The Light of Las Vegas. This
- 32:02Speaker 6: is the HizHop Radio Show.
- 32:21Speaker 5: And I don't need a drug, I've been moving on gospel,
- 32:23Speaker 5: I still gotta carry my peace. I was looking for
- 32:25Speaker 5: change and they want me to pay, but I knew
- 32:26Speaker 5: that his mercy was free. Talk about giving me life
- 32:28Speaker 5: and they show me the word, I guess I gotta read.
- 32:31Speaker 5: Come on, step in the building, Bible on me. 1, 2, 3,
- 32:34Speaker 5: you know we deep. Just like Moses spitting the seed,
- 32:37Speaker 5: we walk in the church, I ain't paying the fee.
- 32:39Speaker 5: I make time for God, he make time for me.
- 32:42Speaker 5: Matthew 18, 20, you said when we come in your name,
- 32:44Speaker 5: we coming in. Welcome with God and we nothing to stop.
- 32:48Speaker 5: Telling you what and I don't need a glock. Got
- 32:49Speaker 5: an armor of God and it's deep in my sock.
- 32:51Speaker 5: I ain't never thought that I'd be tied with the rock.
- 32:52Speaker 5: I ain't with the gang and I ain't with the block.
- 32:54Speaker 5: I've been serving the Lord and I know he on top.
- 32:55Speaker 5: He's speaking the truth and he nothing to stop.
- 32:57Speaker 4: And I don't need a drug.
- 32:58Speaker 5: I've been moving with God so I still gotta carry
- 33:00Speaker 5: my peace. I was looking for change and they want
- 33:03Speaker 5: me to type but I knew that his mercy was free.
- 33:04Speaker 3: Talk about giving me life and they show me the
- 33:08Speaker 3: word like this I gotta read. And I'm everyday.
- 33:12Speaker 5: And the law, I still gotta read And the sin
- 33:14Speaker 5: is still a disease I'm a Christ.
- 33:16Speaker 3: So I gotta lead Spirit, I need God, I need Father,
- 33:20Speaker 3: I need Coming together, we still need.
- 33:23Speaker 5: It Good, okay I can say God remains If there
- 33:29Speaker 5: ain't all this, babe It's.
- 33:33Speaker 3: Life, no, it's right here, babe Step in the building.
- 33:50Speaker 3: Bible on me.
- 33:50Speaker 5: One, two, three. You know we deep. Just like Moses
- 33:53Speaker 5: spitting the seed. We walk in the church. I ain't
- 33:54Speaker 5: paying the fee. I make time for God. He make
- 33:58Speaker 5: time for me. Matthew 18, 20. You said when we
- 34:00Speaker 5: come in your name, we coming in. I still remain faithful.
- 34:09Speaker 6: Devil still try to kill my vibe.
- 34:12Speaker 2: Kick that little boy to the curb. Cause I came
- 34:14Speaker 2: in with my guy. Yeah, yeah. I know it's right.
- 34:17Speaker 5: Even if I feel it take too long. Don't be such.
- 34:20Speaker 2: It was in front of me all along.
- 34:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 34:22Speaker 2: I get the pain. Don't hit me right.
- 34:24Speaker 5: It right or wrong.
- 34:26Speaker 3: You are listening to The Light of Las Vegas.

- 36:41Speaker 2: just simply comforting me? Then discuss why it challenges you.
- 36:49Speaker 2: And do not avoid the difficult scriptures. Allow God's word

- 37:50Speaker 2: to finish. And to see in real time God's changing

- 38:06Speaker 2: certain process, if you don't mind getting on the podcast

- 40:21Speaker 2: trivia challenge that is our game that we like to play.

- 40:35Speaker 2: Shout out to our brother Zone 3. He's been hitting 100%.
- 40:37Speaker 2: He's had other challengers, but they fall away easily. So
- 40:47Speaker 2: we appreciate you, my brother, holding it down. And so
- 40:50Speaker 2: the question for today is, according to these verses, what
- 40:55Speaker 2: two specific promises were the false prophets making to the
- 41:00Speaker 2: people who were rejecting God and following their own hearts?
- 41:10Speaker 2: Once again, let me ask it again. Now, the first
- 41:12Speaker 2: one to answer is the champ for today. According to
- 41:16Speaker 2: these verses, what two specific promises were the false prophets
- 41:23Speaker 2: making to the people who were rejecting God in following
- 41:28Speaker 2: their own hearts, the dictates of their own hearts? Amen.
- 41:35Speaker 2: Let's see who's going to challenge our brother zone three
- 41:39Speaker 2: for today. All right, now let's head on over to
- 41:46Speaker 2: our community shout out. Today is the day. Today is
- 41:51Speaker 2: actually October the 6th. And if you are listening in
- 41:54Speaker 2: the future, this is year 2026. So October the 6th, 2026.
- 42:04Speaker 2: We have an event with our local police department. This
- 42:07Speaker 2: is our national night out. Also, this is the day
- 42:11Speaker 2: right before my birthday. Hey, man. My wife almost forgot
- 42:16Speaker 2: my birthday this year, y'all. But if you want to
- 42:19Speaker 2: wish me happy birthday, you can find Mr. His Hop
- 42:22Speaker 2: on all social media platforms if you would like to
- 42:26Speaker 2: do that there. But yeah, we will be, we will
- 42:31Speaker 2: have a table. We will be in Town Square tonight.
- 42:36Speaker 2: We'll have a His Hop table. We're going to bring
- 42:38Speaker 2: our 360 booth. Come out and kick it with us.
- 42:41Speaker 2: We're going to showcase our youth program so everyone is
- 42:46Speaker 2: seen our daughter is going to be painting and teaching
- 42:50Speaker 2: people how to paint is going to be great so
- 42:53Speaker 2: hopefully we'll see you there I believe it starts like
- 42:57Speaker 2: around 4 or 5 o'clock ish we're excited this is
- 43:01Speaker 2: one of the biggest events that we're involved in we
- 43:04Speaker 2: need help passing out flyers things like that if you
- 43:07Speaker 2: want to come and help us out tonight hit us
- 43:10Speaker 2: up hopefully we will see you We also want to
- 43:20Speaker 2: remind you that ISHOP Nation is a non-profit organization. We
- 43:29Speaker 2: are 501c3. We are registered with the IRS and with
- 43:33Speaker 2: the state of Nevada. We're able to take donations. We're
- 43:41Speaker 2: looking for monthly supporters. We're looking for sponsors. We're looking
- 43:47Speaker 2: for grants and grant writers. If you'd like to volunteer
- 43:52Speaker 2: your time, your talent and resources, we would greatly appreciate it.
- 43:58Speaker 2: It's all to further the kingdom. You can give and
- 44:03Speaker 2: do so on our website, hishopnation.com. Or you can download
- 44:09Speaker 2: the app and give that way. His Hop Radio on
- 44:13Speaker 2: all platforms. And also we do a monthly raffle. I
- 44:19Speaker 2: keep forgetting, but I have to announce our monthly raffle.
- 44:23Speaker 2: It is a 50-50 raffle. So how it works is this.
- 44:28Speaker 2: Buy the raffle tickets. And the more people we get
- 44:32Speaker 2: to participate, the bigger the pot, right? So it could
- 44:38Speaker 2: be as big as we want it to be. It
- 44:40Speaker 2: could be 100 grand. It could be 500 grand. It
- 44:43Speaker 2: could be $ 50, it could be $ 2, 500. So it doesn't
- 44:52Speaker 2: matter how big the pot is, but the winner will
- 44:55Speaker 2: win half that pot. So if it's $ 5, 000 in the pot,
- 45:01Speaker 2: the winner will walk away with $ 2, 500. And the other
- 45:05Speaker 2: half will go to our organization funding our youth groups,
- 45:09Speaker 2: our concerts. We're looking to open up Club His Hop
- 45:13Speaker 2: Las Vegas. So head on over to the website or
- 45:17Speaker 2: even the app. Look for our raffle tickets. And like
- 45:21Speaker 2: I say, you can participate on a monthly basis for those.
- 45:26Speaker 2: We're going to be spreading the word even tonight at
- 45:31Speaker 2: our event. But you could beat the crowd and go
- 45:36Speaker 2: directly to our website. There's other things that can be done.
- 45:41Speaker 2: You could shop on Walmart and you choose this as
- 45:43Speaker 2: your charity. we have gift cards that you can purchase.
- 45:48Speaker 2: You can put money on a gift card to pay
- 45:50Speaker 2: for your groceries. And a percentage of that comes to us.
- 45:55Speaker 2: There's a lot of ways, a lot of creative ways
- 45:57Speaker 2: that we have found where you can support us. So
- 46:02Speaker 2: we appreciate all that. And like I said, we are
- 46:08Speaker 2: a 501c3 and you can write it off on your taxes.
- 46:15Speaker 2: All right. With that said, beloved, we've got some final comments.
- 46:21Speaker 2: Today's episode gives us a simple warning. Don't confuse comfort
- 46:27Speaker 2: with truth. A false, the false prophets told people what
- 46:34Speaker 2: they wanted to hear. God told them what they needed
- 46:38Speaker 2: to hear. So that is always a difference. So when
- 46:42Speaker 2: you Hear a spiritual message. Don't simply ask, does this
- 46:47Speaker 2: make me feel good? Ask, does this agree with the
- 46:53Speaker 2: word of God? Because feelings change, opinions change, even trends change.
- 47:01Speaker 2: We don't wear afros like we did back in the 70s. Well,
- 47:04Speaker 2: I guess afros are starting to come back. But you
- 47:07Speaker 2: know what I mean? Trends can change. Look at our
- 47:10Speaker 2: genre today. Christian hip hop is changing or just hip
- 47:15Speaker 2: hop in general has changed since the days it first
- 47:20Speaker 2: came out, right? But God's word will stand forever. So
- 47:31Speaker 2: today we've been reminded not to, not that every spiritual
- 47:36Speaker 2: message comes from God. So test what you hear, study
- 47:41Speaker 2: the scriptures, stay humble before the Lord and never be
- 47:46Speaker 2: afraid of truth simply because truth will challenge you.
- 47:51Speaker 6: Amen.
- 47:55Speaker 2: And with that, let's sign out. It's not about us.
- 48:00Speaker 2: It's all about the Christ in us. And happy birthday
- 48:06Speaker 2: to me. Early birthday. My birthday is tomorrow. Happy birthday anyway.
- 48:11Speaker 3: All right.
- 48:12Speaker 2: God bless.
- 48:18Speaker 5: Y'all.
- 48:25Speaker 6: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 48:29Speaker 6: is the His Hop Radio Show.
