- 0:16Speaker 1: do you think is gonna happen when he first when
- 0:18Speaker 1: he has sworn in and the first thing he does
- 0:20Speaker 1: is sign a declaration changing the color of the flag
- 0:24Speaker 1: of New York City to red, and they play the
- 0:27Speaker 1: Internacional at his inauguration.

- 0:58Speaker 1: Thursday morning, thank you, Neil pop Puffs Thursday morning, November
- 1:01Speaker 1: sixth a.
- 1:03Speaker 3: Hello, I'm in studio today. Oh.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Also brought a big fan of the show. Okay, maybe
- 1:10Speaker 1: not a big fan of the show. Maybe someone who
- 1:14Speaker 1: Lindsay came you brought your wife?
- 1:16Speaker 3: Yeah, basically my way. Yeah, I brought my It's bringing
- 1:19Speaker 3: your wife to workday today? Did you know that? Yeah? Anyway,

- 1:30Speaker 1: The Pain Game podcast.
- 1:32Speaker 3: You can listen to whoever podcasts are listening to.
- 1:34Speaker 1: And she's a far far better broadcaster than I am.
- 1:38Speaker 3: For real.
- 1:39Speaker 1: You don't have to tell us that, okay, course, okay,
- 1:42Speaker 1: So anyway, pain Game Podcast. Okay, So that's one thing
- 1:45Speaker 1: I'm horing. Oh there's a couple other things I want
- 1:48Speaker 1: to hoard this morning. First, Hello, Neil, good morning.
- 1:50Speaker 3: Good morning, Willie wolf Esquire, Yes, and Amy good morning. Hello.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Yeah, we're having campers cono.
- 1:59Speaker 4: Hello.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Yeah, some of us are happy. Yeah.
- 2:02Speaker 3: And Will Coleschriver Hello, Will, good morning.
- 2:05Speaker 4: I don't see anybody today on the thing.
- 2:08Speaker 5: A person who's supposed to turn this all on.
- 2:11Speaker 3: Yeah, we're here.
- 2:12Speaker 1: We're all in studio here so I can come trumping in.
- 2:15Speaker 1: And then of course producer and you know what is that?
- 2:18Speaker 1: Everybody a producer.
- 2:20Speaker 3: And you know the name? Oh yeah, but it's how.
- 2:23Speaker 1: About the producer a producer, not the producer. But you
- 2:29Speaker 1: ever noticed that when you call a doctor's office. I
- 2:31Speaker 1: used to do that all the time because I worked
- 2:33Speaker 1: with doctors in the world of infertility. And uh, I say,
- 2:37Speaker 1: you know, doctor Schmendrick whatever his name is, and uh,
- 2:41Speaker 1: doctor is not available. What I mean, doctor is not available.
- 2:46Speaker 1: It's the doctor. Because no, no doctor is not available. Well,
- 2:50Speaker 1: would you leave a message saying lawyer is on the phone,
- 2:55Speaker 1: patient would like to see him?
- 2:56Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah, all right. Anyway, good morning to one and all.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Now I want to point something out, and this reason
- 3:03Speaker 1: Lindsey has joined me today because.
- 3:04Speaker 5: Oh, before you do that, do you want to start
- 3:05Speaker 5: with that announcement?
- 3:07Speaker 3: Uh? Who Nancy?
- 3:08Speaker 5: Yes?
- 3:08Speaker 3: Okay, okay, because they just broke in.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Nancy Pelosi's not dead, right, stop it.
- 3:14Speaker 6: So she just announced that she's retiring, not running for
- 3:17Speaker 6: re election. You know, she was elected to the House
- 3:20Speaker 6: for the first time in nineteen eighty seven. She's been
- 3:22Speaker 6: there ever since. She's eighty five.
- 3:23Speaker 3: Yeah, and she's retiring from life.
- 3:27Speaker 5: Oh she's going to go have a life now.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Yeah, she actually is. And you have to give her
- 3:32Speaker 1: insane amounts of credit. She was probably the most, if
- 3:35Speaker 1: not among the most effective Speakers of the House that
- 3:40Speaker 1: ever existed. And Mike Johnson is a waste of time, Nancy.
- 3:44Speaker 1: He should take lessons and read her book and just say, hey,
- 3:48Speaker 1: this is the way you run a house.
- 3:49Speaker 3: Okay.
- 3:50Speaker 1: So with that, before we get to handle on the news,
- 3:53Speaker 1: I want to announce that I am now now back.
- 3:56Speaker 3: In the world of musicals I have.
- 3:59Speaker 1: I was gone for of time and now I am back,
- 4:02Speaker 1: and I want to tell you about a musical we
- 4:04Speaker 1: saw last night, Mulon Rouge playing at the Pantagious. Now
- 4:08Speaker 1: I must tell you it is, if not the most
- 4:14Speaker 1: unique musical I have ever heard, enjoyed and seen performed.
- 4:18Speaker 1: It is one of them. No, I'd go so far
- 4:21Speaker 1: say it's the most unique. It is the yeah, the
- 4:23Speaker 1: most unique musicals. To give me an idea, there are
- 4:26Speaker 1: over one hundred songs. How do you do one hundred
- 4:31Speaker 1: songs in a two and a half hour musical. You
- 4:33Speaker 1: have to go to see it. It is extraordinary to see.
- 4:37Speaker 1: So I'm going to suggest, if you're going to see
- 4:39Speaker 1: a musical, you want to jump on this one because
- 4:41Speaker 1: it is. It's mind boggling, it's so good. And oh
- 4:47Speaker 1: oh yeah right, thank you, No, not.
- 4:49Speaker 4: Really, thanks. You got some Mulan Rouge.
- 4:50Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, And it's playing.
- 4:53Speaker 1: It's Mulon Rouge the musical, and it is playing at
- 4:56Speaker 1: the Pantagious until I think November sixteenth.
- 4:58Speaker 4: I'm guessing your tickets free.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Yeah. However, the hotel room was not what okay, dinner
- 5:07Speaker 1: was not. The gasoline to come from Orange County was not.
- 5:13Speaker 1: So it ended up costing expensive night. Yeah, oh yeah,
- 5:17Speaker 1: it was an expensive It was a media knighte. It
- 5:19Speaker 1: was a media nite, So they invite the media in
- 5:22Speaker 1: the hopes that people talk about, Oh what a shocker
- 5:25Speaker 1: talking about it. Also, you combine a terrific musical with
- 5:33Speaker 1: one of the most beautiful theaters anywhere, and it's a
- 5:36Speaker 1: hell of a night.
- 5:37Speaker 3: Now.
- 5:37Speaker 1: I want to point something out really quickly before we
- 5:40Speaker 1: hit the news, and that is as you watch the musical,
- 5:44Speaker 1: if you look very, very carefully and in the right
- 5:51Speaker 1: hand back way at the back of the stage, in
- 5:54Speaker 1: the right hand corner, you will see for a moment
- 5:58Speaker 1: the only straight guy who appears.
- 6:01Speaker 3: In the musical.
- 6:02Speaker 4: Was he a stage hand or we don't know, lighting guy?
- 6:05Speaker 3: I don't know. I don't know's it's only because.
- 6:09Speaker 2: His step shuffle ball chance was off? What was the Yeah,
- 6:13Speaker 2: it's a tap reference.
- 6:15Speaker 3: Okay, well, thank you.
- 6:16Speaker 2: I just for some reason, you just know, you missed
- 6:19Speaker 2: one other thing about Moolong Rouge, and that is because
- 6:21Speaker 2: of the way it was written and the songs that
- 6:25Speaker 2: are used. It's not like a Broadway musical where you know,
- 6:30Speaker 2: out of eight songs, six of them are really fantastic
- 6:34Speaker 2: and two are like every single song and.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Well you'll recognize, you will recognize every single song.
- 6:40Speaker 3: I'm gonna leave it at that.
- 6:41Speaker 1: It's just anyway, well we're seeing to say that now.
- 6:45Speaker 4: It's good to see you all happy and games.
- 6:47Speaker 3: I am. I am because I'm back in the world
- 6:49Speaker 3: of musical.
- 6:50Speaker 1: This is where I revel, this is where I live,
- 6:53Speaker 1: This is where I'm.
- 6:54Speaker 3: A happy camper.
- 6:55Speaker 4: Are those jazz hands yes, okay.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Yes they are. Okay, guys to it. It is time
- 7:01Speaker 1: for handle on the news on this Thursday morning, November
- 7:05Speaker 1: sixth after saying hello to everybody.
- 7:08Speaker 3: With Amy and Neil and me.
- 7:12Speaker 7: Lead Sorry, yesterday probably the longest session I've ever seen
- 7:21Speaker 7: in front of the US Supreme Court, where the administration
- 7:25Speaker 7: was defending the tariffs.
- 7:27Speaker 1: There's been a lawsuit against the tariffs, arguing that the
- 7:31Speaker 1: President overstepped his authority, that because Congress is the only
- 7:38Speaker 1: part of the government that is able to invoke terriffs,
- 7:42Speaker 1: and the administration is that no, no, these aren't tariffs.
- 7:44Speaker 1: These are not really tariffs. No, they you have to
- 7:47Speaker 1: call them something else. And then they said that these
- 7:52Speaker 1: aren't well, terroriffs are to raise money.
- 7:54Speaker 3: These are regulatory tariffs.
- 7:56Speaker 1: They're not revenue raising tariffs, so it's not to raise money,
- 8:00Speaker 1: although Trump has said we have tons of money and
- 8:03Speaker 1: we're raising more and tariffs are all about money.
- 8:07Speaker 2: So you know, go figure, that's right up there with
- 8:10Speaker 2: the California gas fees.
- 8:13Speaker 4: Yes, that we pay because I can't use the word
- 8:15Speaker 4: jacks or fees.
- 8:16Speaker 3: Yeah, fees that we have. Yeah, in the courts have
- 8:18Speaker 3: allowed that to happen.
- 8:19Speaker 1: And then one other thing that Trump's position was that
- 8:23Speaker 1: and has been since the beginning, is that the countries
- 8:27Speaker 1: that are being tariffed pay the tariff. That's absolutely not true.
- 8:33Speaker 1: We pay the terriffs.
- 8:35Speaker 4: Oh so I.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Ordered something from the UK, yes, and I got an
- 8:40Speaker 2: email for the first time that I've ever seen this
- 8:43Speaker 2: from UPS that says you owe us The thing I
- 8:47Speaker 2: bought was one hundred and twenty dollars. You owe us
- 8:50Speaker 2: ninety two dollars. And I'm like, what, I thought? It
- 8:53Speaker 2: was a scam, So I had to do a bunch
- 8:54Speaker 2: of research. But go on log on UPS and it
- 8:58Speaker 2: was it was me paying for the tariffs.
- 9:00Speaker 3: Yeah, that's it.
- 9:00Speaker 1: But no, no, if you ask the administration. You're not
- 9:03Speaker 1: paying for the tariffs. The UK is paying for the tariffs.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Tell it to my bank account, no kiddings. So I
- 9:09Speaker 1: paid for it, but as the interest, I thought it
- 9:10Speaker 1: was a scam. And I think, yeah, it's the tariffs
- 9:14Speaker 1: are insane, you know, Platinum cook Wear with my partner Saville,
- 9:18Speaker 1: we're and we bring in it, We bring in we
- 9:22Speaker 1: bring in stainless steel, which is tariff at the highest level, cookwar,
- 9:26Speaker 1: which is terriffs at the highest level from China, which
- 9:29Speaker 1: is tariff at the highest level.
- 9:31Speaker 3: And so it's over one hundred percent.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Gosh, it almost makes you want to make it not
- 9:36Speaker 2: with slave flavor out of the country.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Damn right, those fourteen year olds that are putting it together.
- 9:42Speaker 1: The other thing I want to point out, and this
- 9:44Speaker 1: one's kind of interesting for a court that usually gives
- 9:48Speaker 1: tremendous deference to the president, that believes the president has
- 9:53Speaker 1: more power than any court has ever made that decision,
- 9:56Speaker 1: even the court John Roberts, other than Clarence Thomas. But
- 10:00Speaker 1: John Roberts and Gorsage kept on saying, is this unlimited?
- 10:06Speaker 1: Does the president simply say I'm going to tariff because
- 10:08Speaker 1: I want a tariff and Congress has nothing to do
- 10:12Speaker 1: with it, and that's what the argument was. Yeah, yeah,
- 10:14Speaker 1: this is unlimited power. We'll see what happened.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Problem is, it's been working in many cases, and how
- 10:19Speaker 2: do you argue that?
- 10:20Speaker 6: Yeah, all right, it's gonna be dicey if you're planning
- 10:24Speaker 6: to head to the airport. The FAA has announced plans
- 10:27Speaker 6: to cut the number of flights by ten percent at
- 10:31Speaker 6: forty airports around the country, and that includes lax Ontario
- 10:36Speaker 6: International and San Diego International. They're saying they've got to
- 10:40Speaker 6: do it to make sure that the skies stay safe
- 10:43Speaker 6: because of the staffing shortages at air traffic control towers
- 10:47Speaker 6: around the country caused by the government shutdown.
- 10:49Speaker 3: Yep, he goes, look in the sky, it's not a plane.
- 10:53Speaker 4: Would you fly anywhere right now? I mean the lines
- 10:56Speaker 4: that I've seen, like no' penous it would take forever.
- 10:59Speaker 5: I just flew and I didn't have any trouble.
- 11:01Speaker 4: Yeah, coming in from your arms tired.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Yeah, Portland, and there wasn't any delay with the TSA.
- 11:09Speaker 6: Nope, TSA was a breathe Wow. Now my friend also
- 11:13Speaker 6: flew into Portland. We met in Portland and she was
- 11:15Speaker 6: delayed about an hour out of Phoenix.
- 11:17Speaker 3: Because of the TSA or just the plane was delayed period.
- 11:22Speaker 6: I don't think it was because of TSA. I think
- 11:23Speaker 6: it was the air traffic controllers, right, they're calling it, well,
- 11:26Speaker 6: that's what I meant, yeah, air traffic controllers.
- 11:28Speaker 4: Yeah. All right.
- 11:31Speaker 2: So you've got a coalition of sorts California Republicans filing
- 11:35Speaker 2: a lawsuit, of course, because that's what we do now
- 11:38Speaker 2: in politics. They're challenging gav gov Gav Newsome and the
- 11:44Speaker 2: approved redistricting effort effort, so Prop fifty and as much
- 11:50Speaker 2: as I don't like Prop fifty and I think it's
- 11:52Speaker 2: going to bite us in the ass in a way
- 11:54Speaker 2: that we don't know, it's done. It's done. Negotiate before
- 11:59Speaker 2: the contract, the contracts done. Leave it alone, Okay, it
- 12:03Speaker 2: won it passed. Go somewhere else. Don't waste more money.
- 12:06Speaker 5: That is not the way of our world anymore.
- 12:08Speaker 3: I'll just let it be. I'm going to talk more
- 12:10Speaker 3: about that at seven o'clock, just to let you know.
- 12:12Speaker 1: Since twenty since the twenty twenty census, over a one
- 12:16Speaker 1: hundred lawsuits have been filed in attempts to block redistricting.
- 12:21Speaker 4: We need to get rid of the census.
- 12:23Speaker 3: Yeah, we do. It had no cost. Okay, we can't
- 12:25Speaker 3: do that. You know why we can't get rid of
- 12:26Speaker 3: the census.
- 12:28Speaker 4: Well, it's how we know how many people are here.
- 12:30Speaker 1: That is correct. But why is it that we must
- 12:33Speaker 1: do the census. It's constitution that is correct in the constitution.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Same thing in Jesus' day, which is why they had
- 12:39Speaker 2: to help, why they had to go to Bethlehem on
- 12:43Speaker 2: an ass just like this show.
- 12:45Speaker 3: Okay, very very deep.
- 12:48Speaker 4: I'm deep, religiously so.
- 12:51Speaker 6: Tread lightly doj A federal judge has warned the Justice
- 12:56Speaker 6: Department that it could be getting dangerously close to mishandling
- 12:59Speaker 6: evidence in its criminal case against former FBI director James Comy.
- 13:05Speaker 6: Judge William Patrick of the Eastern District of Virginia said,
- 13:08Speaker 6: right now, we're in a bit of a feeling of
- 13:11Speaker 6: indict first, investigate later. Fitzpatrick wants to get the grand
- 13:17Speaker 6: jury transcripts.
- 13:19Speaker 3: Right.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Does anybody have any doubt that's what's going on that
- 13:23Speaker 1: the President is going after Letitia James and Komy and
- 13:26Speaker 1: John Bolton, notwithstanding anything they have done. Rayfire, you go
- 13:32Speaker 1: ahead and charge them and will find something to charge
- 13:35Speaker 1: them with you can't do that. It has to be
- 13:38Speaker 1: the other way around. And I'll talk more about that later, No,
- 13:43Speaker 1: I won't. I was then talk more about the previous
- 13:46Speaker 1: story about the lawsuits.
- 13:48Speaker 2: So Trump is feeling the heat. A lot of people
- 13:51Speaker 2: believe that the it was a testament of people pushing
- 13:57Speaker 2: against Trump and the shutdown of the government on November fourth.
- 14:04Speaker 2: Federal shutdown has dragged on. Of course, it's becoming the
- 14:07Speaker 2: longest in American history, and Republicans felt the losses on
- 14:11Speaker 2: election Day. Trump told Republican senators the White House on
- 14:17Speaker 2: Wednesday that the government shutdown was a huge factor. No
- 14:21Speaker 2: dub So he says, we got to shut down, and
- 14:26Speaker 2: the shutdown.
- 14:27Speaker 4: And the filibuster.
- 14:28Speaker 1: Yeah, he actually did a pretty good job of analyzing
- 14:30Speaker 1: what happened. One of them was the government shutdown is
- 14:34Speaker 1: white people, and people are blaming the Republicans for it,
- 14:37Speaker 1: which he doesn't understand or just doesn't get. Also the
- 14:41Speaker 1: fact that he was not on the ballot in any
- 14:44Speaker 1: of these races and that hurt the Republicans.
- 14:48Speaker 3: He's absolutely right, because when Trump is.
- 14:51Speaker 1: On the ballot, it's a very different kind of vote,
- 14:54Speaker 1: far more than normally what happens during a presidential So
- 15:00Speaker 1: he's right.
- 15:02Speaker 4: And the way he analyzes a weird entity, I'll give
- 15:04Speaker 4: you that.
- 15:04Speaker 3: Yeah, he is so.
- 15:06Speaker 1: And the and the shutdown still continues today is a
- 15:10Speaker 1: thirty seven I think. So we are now well into
- 15:14Speaker 1: the longest period of time that we've ever had.
- 15:17Speaker 3: A shutdown, and it doesn't look like it's close either.
- 15:21Speaker 5: Although there's talk that they're kind of talking behind closed doors.
- 15:24Speaker 3: Yeah, we'll see. Still, it takes a while, all right.
- 15:27Speaker 6: Better than expected private sector job creation bounced back in October.
- 15:32Speaker 6: Payroll processing company ADP estimated that private sector jobs forty
- 15:38Speaker 6: two thousand more jobs last month, which is a rebound.
- 15:44Speaker 6: ADP's chief economist, though, cautioned that while the pace of
- 15:47Speaker 6: hiring is running slower than earlier this year, and it's
- 15:51Speaker 6: also more concentrated in just a few sectors.
- 15:54Speaker 3: Yeah, you have to look at that.
- 15:55Speaker 1: It's not just jobs overall, it's which kind of jobs
- 15:58Speaker 1: like holidays.
- 16:00Speaker 5: Yeah's coming up.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Right, And you've got for example, Information lost seventeen thousand jobs. Oh,
- 16:05Speaker 1: we know that because all the IT companies are laying off,
- 16:08Speaker 1: and so leisure and hospitality down six thousand jobs. That's
- 16:14Speaker 1: because they have AI. When you go up to the desk, Hi,
- 16:18Speaker 1: how are you? I'd like to talk to someone you
- 16:22Speaker 1: are and you're not talking to anybody.
- 16:25Speaker 3: Okay.
- 16:26Speaker 2: I always know when things are crappy because my wife's
- 16:28Speaker 2: a therapist. So if she's busy, that means the hell
- 16:31Speaker 2: at the world's auguring for sure. All right, what a story.
- 16:35Speaker 2: Mexican President Claudia Shinbaum strolling through the city doing what
- 16:40Speaker 2: presidents do. She's in the city, capital capital this week.
- 16:44Speaker 2: She's heading from one government office to another. She stops,
- 16:47Speaker 2: she takes selfies with the crowd and admirers. Pretty typical
- 16:51Speaker 2: politician stuff, right. A man comes up from behind, slips
- 16:57Speaker 2: his arms around the President of Mexico her shoulder, leaned in,
- 17:02Speaker 2: planted a kiss on her neck, and briefly grabbed her
- 17:07Speaker 2: chee cheese before an aid pushed them away.
- 17:10Speaker 4: An age che cheese, che cheese. There's a Spanish for boobies.
- 17:14Speaker 2: Yeah, I wouldn't have bakey brestiss Okay, no, but I
- 17:17Speaker 2: mean it's like I, I I know, flabbergacid and an aid.
- 17:21Speaker 2: You don't have security, you would think, although it's not
- 17:25Speaker 2: the same.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Although when you think of Mexico with the Narco traficantes.
- 17:31Speaker 3: So I'm back to your right security.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Well, so she is now got this war against rampant
- 17:37Speaker 2: sexual harassment going on Mexico.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Yeah, it's been used as a poster child for women
- 17:43Speaker 1: in general.
- 17:44Speaker 3: Actually, this was a good thing.
- 17:46Speaker 1: This happened because no one was hurt, and she's using
- 17:48Speaker 1: this as a platform to talk about women.
- 17:52Speaker 2: How do you get that close to the president of Mexico,
- 17:54Speaker 2: No idea.
- 17:56Speaker 6: Somebody apparently didn't pay attention when the cyberfolks, Hey, don't
- 18:01Speaker 6: use the easy passwords like one, two, three, four, five
- 18:03Speaker 6: six or your birthday. The password to the Louvers surveillance
- 18:08Speaker 6: video system was LOUVER very very good l o u
- 18:14Speaker 6: v r E. At the time of the robbery of
- 18:16Speaker 6: the one hundred million dollars worth of Crown jewels, and
- 18:19Speaker 6: that wasn't the only thing. The security measures at the
- 18:23Speaker 6: Louver have been coming under fire. They did have a camera,
- 18:26Speaker 6: but the only one at the Apollo Gallery where the
- 18:30Speaker 6: Crown Jewels were was facing the wrong direction.
- 18:32Speaker 4: Because they don't expect someone coming through the window right.
- 18:35Speaker 6: And then the museum's alarms apparently worked. Video cameras were working,
- 18:39Speaker 6: but there were weaknesses in the perimeter security because of
- 18:42Speaker 6: gidding under investment.
- 18:44Speaker 4: It's under investment.
- 18:46Speaker 1: Yeah, when you talk about the value of these jewels,
- 18:49Speaker 1: not only the actual value monetary value, but historical value,
- 18:54Speaker 1: which is way more important than the materials themselves.
- 18:56Speaker 4: One hundred and two can'ts a million is you know,
- 18:59Speaker 4: which You're not gonna be.
- 19:00Speaker 3: Able to sell these. They have to be melted down.
- 19:03Speaker 4: And then the history goes with it.
- 19:05Speaker 1: And then the UPS crash that we just talked about
- 19:09Speaker 1: a number of people dead looks like eleven already or
- 19:13Speaker 1: twelve people and still.
- 19:14Speaker 2: Some people missing and up to twelve now, yeah, and
- 19:17Speaker 2: which is horrific, but you keep looking at that thinking, man,
- 19:21Speaker 2: how did more people not die?
- 19:24Speaker 3: Crazy? So the US.
- 19:27Speaker 2: UPS plane crash, three employees of the Louisville facility are
- 19:31Speaker 2: missing still and they say it looked like Hell's fury
- 19:35Speaker 2: because it just the explosion in the line of fire.
- 19:38Speaker 1: Full of fuel and it looks like it hit a
- 19:40Speaker 1: fuel depot there at the airport.
- 19:42Speaker 2: Yeah, the slimming to this facility there shortly after taking off.
- 19:46Speaker 2: Twelve people dead at this point, multiple families with missing
- 19:49Speaker 2: loved ones. It just is absolutely insane, and I mean,
- 19:54Speaker 2: there'd be an investigation, right, and they'll figure out why
- 19:56Speaker 2: the wing came off.
- 19:57Speaker 3: All right, stell one more and then we'll take our
- 19:59Speaker 3: last break.
- 20:00Speaker 5: All in one.
- 20:03Speaker 6: The Olympics open closing ceremonies are going to be held
- 20:07Speaker 6: at the Los Angeles Coliseum, not at SOFI. So Originally
- 20:11Speaker 6: they had planned to hold the closing ceremonies at both stadiums,
- 20:15Speaker 6: both venues, but LA City Council unanimously voted yesterday that
- 20:20Speaker 6: it will be only at La Memorial Coliseum. Now the
- 20:23Speaker 6: opening ceremony will be shared between the Colisseum and SOFI.
- 20:28Speaker 3: I wonder how much the tickets are going to be
- 20:30Speaker 3: for opening ceremony.
- 20:31Speaker 1: I would think opening ceremonies are the most boring thing
- 20:34Speaker 1: because you've got three hours of looking at two hundred countries.
- 20:38Speaker 5: Oh I love it.
- 20:39Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, okay, I've had enough of that.
- 20:41Speaker 1: Well, you see the athletes, and you see the Americans,
- 20:43Speaker 1: you see the Russians and they're Chinese. So there's two
- 20:46Speaker 1: hundred people, and then you have toga, which has one
- 20:48Speaker 1: guy holding.
- 20:50Speaker 4: In Atoga in drunk.
- 20:55Speaker 1: Yeah, real quick, one, if you drive a Toyota, you
- 20:57Speaker 1: are going to die next week, right, Neil, No, that
- 21:00Speaker 1: is not the case, but you do have.
- 21:02Speaker 2: A million in change of the US vehicles from Toyota
- 21:07Speaker 2: are being recalled. This is due to a flaw with
- 21:11Speaker 2: the rear view camera.
- 21:13Speaker 3: You know.
- 21:14Speaker 2: I remember Bill when we had to turn our next
- 21:16Speaker 2: to look what was behind us. And now they think
- 21:18Speaker 2: you're going to die if you don't have the camera.
- 21:20Speaker 3: Well, we think about this. I don't even bother looking back.
- 21:24Speaker 1: I just use the camera and sure now and it
- 21:26Speaker 1: says do not look at the camera solely, which is
- 21:29Speaker 1: complete crap because the view of the camera is all encompassing.
- 21:33Speaker 1: And more importantly, I guess if you like the person
- 21:37Speaker 1: they were about to hit, if there are no blind
- 21:40Speaker 1: spots back there.
- 21:41Speaker 4: You know what the fun thing is.
- 21:42Speaker 2: You go to the little five and dime as the
- 21:45Speaker 2: kids call it, right, and you get a tiny little
- 21:47Speaker 2: grocery cart and you tape it to that. Now people
- 21:50Speaker 2: think there's a grocery cart behind their car every time.
- 21:53Speaker 2: They never mind gat anyways, So that may affect you.
- 21:57Speaker 2: If the camera's not working.
- 21:58Speaker 1: Be safe. If you shop a Trader Joe's, you're gonna die,
- 22:03Speaker 1: right Amy.
- 22:04Speaker 5: Jeez, everybody's going to die today.
- 22:06Speaker 6: So there's a listeria outbreak federal health officials say it's
- 22:11Speaker 6: into seventeen, actually eighteen states now. It's linked to frozen
- 22:15Speaker 6: pasta that you can get at Trader Joe's and at Walmart.
- 22:19Speaker 6: It's also available at Kroger's, Sprouts Market, and other major
- 22:24Speaker 6: grocery stores. So this frozen pasta is coming out of
- 22:28Speaker 6: Nate's Fine Foods, based in northern California. As of late
- 22:33Speaker 6: last month, the outbreak has killed six people and made
- 22:36Speaker 6: twenty seven others sick.
- 22:38Speaker 1: Yeah, and then they're changing the label to Nate's Not
- 22:41Speaker 1: So Fine Foods.
- 22:44Speaker 4: Yeah, markings gonna have to change.
- 22:47Speaker 2: Smeldaves, Maldives, Maldives, Maldives.
- 22:50Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what I thought. What a weird way to
- 22:52Speaker 4: ban smoking.
- 22:53Speaker 2: So they're banning smoking for everyone that was born after
- 22:58Speaker 2: January one, two thousand and seven, so you can't purchase, use,
- 23:05Speaker 2: or be sold tobacco products.
- 23:08Speaker 1: Yes, we're I would think if you're looking at the
- 23:10Speaker 1: philosophy here, sort of okay, if you're older than that,
- 23:12Speaker 1: you're already completely addicted and.
- 23:15Speaker 3: It's much harder for you. I can't think of any
- 23:16Speaker 3: other reason.
- 23:17Speaker 4: Just say it's a it's illegal. Yeah, is that across
- 23:20Speaker 4: the bar?
- 23:21Speaker 1: The Maldives are probably the best place to do scuba
- 23:23Speaker 1: diving in the world.
- 23:25Speaker 4: It's hard to smoke underwater.
- 23:27Speaker 3: Yes, it is okay. If another story is going to
- 23:32Speaker 3: get so hot, you're gonna die, Neil.
- 23:35Speaker 4: No, this isn't me say my turn. Oh I'm sorry,
- 23:40Speaker 4: So don't get ahead of yourself.
- 23:41Speaker 5: Nobody's gonna die.
- 23:42Speaker 6: But apparently the Trump administration's got to fork over millions
- 23:46Speaker 6: of dollars. They have been ordered or it has been
- 23:50Speaker 6: ordered to release millions of dollars in grants that were
- 23:56Speaker 6: supposed to be addressing the shortage of mental health workers
- 23:59Speaker 6: in schools. Congressunt funded the mental health program after the
- 24:02Speaker 6: school shooting in Uvalde, Texas in twenty twenty two, but
- 24:06Speaker 6: President Trump's administration had opposed diversity considerations used to award
- 24:11Speaker 6: the grants and told the recipients of them that they
- 24:13Speaker 6: wouldn't be getting any funding past December. It is a
- 24:16Speaker 6: preliminary ruling. I would imagine that they'll fight it.
- 24:19Speaker 1: Of course they're going to fight it. So they're saying,
- 24:22Speaker 1: we don't want to give money to people who are
- 24:24Speaker 1: mentally ill because we don't believe they're mentally ill, or
- 24:28Speaker 1: because they happen to be a different race.
- 24:31Speaker 4: They're brown, and I know we don't want to take care.
- 24:33Speaker 3: Go figure that one out. Why not?
- 24:35Speaker 2: Okay, now on you're going to die because the world
- 24:40Speaker 2: will overshoot the one point five degree climate goal. We
- 24:43Speaker 2: have climate goals like where we want to be hot
- 24:46Speaker 2: heat wise? Yeah, in the Paris the court, Yeah, let's
- 24:49Speaker 2: get here. Let's get this. So they didn't want it
- 24:52Speaker 2: to go over that, I would imagine, But the world
- 24:55Speaker 2: has failed once again to meet it's climate change target
- 24:58Speaker 2: of limiting the rise in global temperatures to one point
- 25:01Speaker 2: five degrees.
- 25:02Speaker 3: So we're not going to make it.
- 25:04Speaker 1: The world is heating up faster than everybody hoped.
- 25:08Speaker 2: So the government wants you to give them money, and
- 25:11Speaker 2: they're going to build a huge fan, right and put
- 25:13Speaker 2: it up in space, and you know what, everybody will
- 25:16Speaker 2: still give money to that idea.
- 25:18Speaker 3: That's correct.
- 25:19Speaker 1: Oh, we got one last one and it's a beauty.
- 25:23Speaker 6: Will the boys in blue go to the White House? Well,
- 25:28Speaker 6: if you're an immigration rights group.
- 25:30Speaker 5: You're hoping not. Yeah. Yeah.
- 25:32Speaker 6: They're calling on the LA Dodgers to decline a visit
- 25:34Speaker 6: to the White House because of the Trump administration's immigration
- 25:37Speaker 6: enforcement operations In La.
- 25:39Speaker 3: Now, let me ask a question.
- 25:40Speaker 1: How many of the Dodgers are Hispanic and how many
- 25:44Speaker 1: if they weren't to go to the White House, would
- 25:46Speaker 1: be picked up at ice by ice right.
- 25:48Speaker 3: At the door.
- 25:49Speaker 5: Several and zero?
- 25:51Speaker 2: Yeah, see, I would go the other way. It's a
- 25:54Speaker 2: big trap and wanting to be the real White House.
- 25:57Speaker 3: P K.
- 25:57Speaker 5: Hernandez, you're out like.
- 26:00Speaker 4: No, thank you?
- 26:02Speaker 3: Do you think do you think they're gonna go? Yes
- 26:04Speaker 3: or no?
- 26:04Speaker 2: You think they should they celebrated. It has nothing to
- 26:07Speaker 2: do with Trump. They should be celebrated. Well, People's house,
- 26:10Speaker 2: regardless of a lot of people have said no. A
- 26:12Speaker 2: lot of organizations had said no during the previous Trump administration,
- 26:16Speaker 2: but that there were some basketball teams that said no.
- 26:19Speaker 3: I've never heard of that.
- 26:20Speaker 5: But they're all going now.
- 26:21Speaker 2: But Trump owns everybody.
- 26:24Speaker 4: Don't let them own you.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Just go for the people, Go for the team, Go
- 26:28Speaker 2: for the the Americans and the pride of Los Angeles.
- 26:32Speaker 3: Okay, kf I A M six point forty. You've been
