FDA just approved updated COVID-19 vaccines from Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna, specifically targeting the XFG subvariant for the 2026-2027 flu season. Pfizer’s Comirnaty is now available for adults 65+ and those 5-64 with underlying health conditions. Moderna’s Spikevax covers ages 6 months to 64 with high-risk conditions plus 65+, while mNEXSPIKE is for 65+ and high-risk individuals aged 12-64.
