- 0:10Sean McAllister: Also, Oprah is coming to the sphere.
- 0:13Sean McAllister: Oasis is playing at Allegiance Stadium and details on the free Rio concert series.
- 0:19Dayna Roselli: We also read some fan mail too and answer some of the questions.
- 0:23Sean McAllister: There's a bunch of country music concerts coming to Resorts World Plus.
- 0:37Dayna Roselli: Welcome to Vegas Revealed episode 338.
- 0:41Dayna Roselli: Dayna Roselli and Sean McAllister here.
- 0:43Dayna Roselli: And before we get to so many topics and that five-day sale that's taking place in Las Vegas, a couple little nuggets and maintenance issues.
- 0:52Dayna Roselli: And that is, when I said nuggets, Sean, you loved your chicken nuggets at Zero Bond at the Wynn.
- 0:57Sean McAllister: Oh my gosh.
- 0:58Sean McAllister: So Zero Bond is the uh members-only club that's over there at Win Las Vegas.
- 1:04Sean McAllister: Uh went over with a friend of ours, Jason, and talked some business.
- 1:08Sean McAllister: Um, but it was the chicken nuggets there are the most incredible nuggets I have ever had.
- 1:16Sean McAllister: And the uh bartender sold me on them.
- 1:20Sean McAllister: He went through this whole spiel that he had down.
- 1:24Sean McAllister: He was like, oh, they're uh they're fresh made on-site, tempura battered.
- 1:31Sean McAllister: This is not even close to how he was selling it.
- 1:33Sean McAllister: Um but they are like dusted with this flavoring and they had come with these a trio of sauces, including homemade ranch, which was delicious.
- 1:44Sean McAllister: You have the option of uh adding caviar onto your nuggets as well.
- 1:49Sean McAllister: I did not do that, but they were the best nuggets I have ever had.
- 1:55Sean McAllister: And if you're gonna find good nuggets, you're gonna find them at Wynn.
- 1:59Dayna Roselli: Well, I think you wouldn't think Zero Bond, VIP, private members only, high-end, you wouldn't think chicken nuggets, but these sound absolutely incredible.
- 2:10Sean McAllister: They were bomb.
- 2:10Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I had the sliders when I was there in sushi, and it was all really good too.
- 2:14Dayna Roselli: So and now we've both been to Zero Bond.
- 2:16Dayna Roselli: Very nice, um, beautiful spot over at Win Las Vegas, and um a lot of our friends are members, so we get to go over, you know, every now and then for a little business, and it's a good place.
- 2:27Sean McAllister: It is a good place.
- 2:27Sean McAllister: It was it was pretty bumping.
- 2:29Sean McAllister: Yeah, we went over a little bit early, uh like six o'clock ish, but um within a half hour, it just really started to fill up.
- 2:37Sean McAllister: And man, by nighttime it was it was packed.
- 2:41Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 2:42Dayna Roselli: Um, I went to Kassi Beach uh for my birthday, and it was really nice because we went and did a shoot there.
- 2:47Dayna Roselli: We're gonna share that story in a little bit, and it just reminded me how the vibe there is like you're like transported to like Tulum.
- 2:53Dayna Roselli: And uh had a great nice uh lunch there on a Sunday afternoon.
- 2:58Dayna Roselli: Just wanted to mention it's a great spot.
- 2:59Dayna Roselli: We'll talk more about that at another time.
- 3:01Dayna Roselli: Also did a little downtown Las Vegas outing on Main Street, hit Petit Bohem, had amazing pizza, Brooklyn style, at Good Pie with a bunch of friends.
- 3:12Sean McAllister: I love that place.
- 3:13Dayna Roselli: Yeah, went to Velvet uh Velveteen Rabbit, delicious.
- 3:16Dayna Roselli: Gosh, you can get like a vodka soda there for 10 bucks.
- 3:19Dayna Roselli: I mean, the prices are more affordable downtown, so always a good reminder.
- 3:22Dayna Roselli: Um, but we had a great time.
- 3:24Dayna Roselli: It's so easy to go out on Main Street because you just can walk around and walk from spot to spot and go, okay, what do you want to do now?
- 3:30Dayna Roselli: Want to get something to eat?
- 3:30Dayna Roselli: Want to get, do we want martinis?
- 3:32Dayna Roselli: Do we want to just hang at a couch area?
- 3:34Dayna Roselli: And so we did all of it.
- 3:35Sean McAllister: And then that's so nice when especially when you're out with a group of people just to be able to bop around.
- 3:41Sean McAllister: That's how I like to I like to bop.
- 3:44Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it was really great.
- 3:44Dayna Roselli: We had a lot of fun.
- 3:46Dayna Roselli: Um, we did get, okay, we did get some fan mail questions that are kind of along the lines of different places to go.
- 3:52Dayna Roselli: So let's just hit that up real quick.
- 3:54Dayna Roselli: We did have someone ask us about um some good rooftop bars around the strip.
- 3:59Dayna Roselli: And I think we both responded to this one.
- 4:02Dayna Roselli: And I had mentioned uh, and and he was saying for his wife's work group, I think about 10 people.
- 4:07Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 4:07Dayna Roselli: So I was like, indoor or outdoor, and he was like, I don't, I don't, it doesn't matter.
- 4:11Dayna Roselli: And I had mentioned the Waldorf Astoria bar.
- 4:14Dayna Roselli: Um, it's got nice glass, you know, uh windows, beautiful spot.
- 4:18Dayna Roselli: Um, I also mentioned, you know, the patio at Jason Al Dean's.
- 4:22Dayna Roselli: Uh it's the top of the roof as far as it can go.
- 4:25Dayna Roselli: Uh it's not like a super high, high location, but same kind of level as uh Ocean Prime there on the corner, too.
- 4:32Dayna Roselli: And then where else did we mention?
- 4:34Sean McAllister: Uh so uh also on the strip, uh All Red is a great spot.
- 4:40Sean McAllister: That's the Blake Shelton honky tonk.
- 4:42Sean McAllister: Uh also Brew Dog, which is a little bit further south on Las Vegas Boulevard.
- 4:48Sean McAllister: Um, but then in downtown Las Vegas, Commonwealth has a good rooftop as well.
- 4:53Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it really does.
- 4:54Dayna Roselli: That's a good, good spot.
- 4:56Dayna Roselli: And it's in and it's a cool vibe too.
- 4:57Dayna Roselli: And they're all kind of a little bit different, you know?
- 4:59Dayna Roselli: And then I was mentioning some setback places.
- 5:02Dayna Roselli: You might want to go to High Stakes.
- 5:03Dayna Roselli: Did you say that already?
- 5:04Dayna Roselli: Sorry.
- 5:04Dayna Roselli: No, I was looking down.
- 5:06Dayna Roselli: Um, High Stakes is great because when we did talk with James Trees, he said people can come up for just a cocktail if you want.
- 5:12Dayna Roselli: And they have a great patio where you'll get the view of the strip.
- 5:16Sean McAllister: And the same with Ghost Bar over at Palms.
- 5:18Dayna Roselli: But I think um, did he say I don't know.
- 5:21Dayna Roselli: For some reason, I feel like maybe he said not late.
- 5:24Dayna Roselli: So I wasn't sure what time Ghost Bar opens.
- 5:25Dayna Roselli: I don't really.
- 5:26Dayna Roselli: I really don't know.
- 5:27Dayna Roselli: I haven't been in a little while.
- 5:28Dayna Roselli: I didn't know if it's just a late night spot now.
- 5:30Sean McAllister: And by the way, this was a listener in Brentwood, New York.
- 5:33Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 5:33Sean McAllister: So we love hearing from uh listeners who are from all over the country and around the world too.
- 5:40Sean McAllister: And a reminder, we do have a link down in our show notes that you can click and uh you can put in your message and it sends a text right to us.
- 5:49Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 5:49Dayna Roselli: And also he was asking about Lago.
- 5:51Dayna Roselli: They're doing a group dinner um there at uh you know Bellagio and wanted to know um what I thought of it for a table of around 10 coworkers.
- 6:02Dayna Roselli: And I thought that was a great idea because they have like a lot of Tapas style things on the menu so you can share, and then you can also order your own thing.
- 6:09Dayna Roselli: But they actually have a great patio.
- 6:11Dayna Roselli: It's not huge, but like if you could get that table of 10 uh and it sits right outside near the fountains, and it sounds like if they're coming in somewhat, you know, in the fall, it'd be great weather.
- 6:22Dayna Roselli: Or if you sit inside, you can sit near the windows and get that view as well.
- 6:26Sean McAllister: Yeah, those are great spots right there along the lake over at Bellagio.
- 6:31Sean McAllister: Um, and as we were talking about uh, you know, rooftop destinations and places with a view.
- 6:38Sean McAllister: Um, our listener in Brentwood also said that uh as he and his wife had come to Las Vegas over the years, they would go to Mix up at the top of the Delano at Mandalay Bay.
- 6:50Sean McAllister: Well, that is now the W Las Vegas, and the Mix has turned into Skyfall Lounge up there at the top of that tower.
- 7:00Sean McAllister: Um, but currently Skyfall is closed and being completely renovated.
- 7:05Sean McAllister: However, uh there is in the other Mandalay Bay Tower uh a place that used to be the foundation room, and that has also been remodeled, and it has recently reopened uh as vinyl.
- 7:20Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 7:20Sean McAllister: So you can go up there and get some great views as well.
- 7:23Dayna Roselli: Yeah, we got a lot of spots, you know, not as many as you'd think we would, I must say, but we do have a lot.
- 7:29Dayna Roselli: I went to LA66 at Resorts World, that's great too.
- 7:32Dayna Roselli: Um so I mean, there's spots you just gotta sit and think, you know?
- 7:36Dayna Roselli: You do.
- 7:36Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and then we've gone to happy hours up at the top of the strat, too.
- 7:40Sean McAllister: Which that's a great view.
- 7:41Sean McAllister: Yeah, and it's since it is at the the top of the strat, you get a you can walk around and have a whole 360 view.
- 7:48Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 7:48Dayna Roselli: Hey, we got a message from Caroline too.
- 7:51Dayna Roselli: She wrote us an email and she said, I absolutely love your podcast.
- 7:54Dayna Roselli: Been traveling from Texas to Vegas with my husband for almost 20 years now, up to six times per year, always looking for new events and excuses to visit.
- 8:02Dayna Roselli: We spend Christmas there every year and venture off the strip regularly.
- 8:07Dayna Roselli: Um, they also love all the restaurants that Chef Jose Andres has.
- 8:12Dayna Roselli: And he uh she wanted to tell us a fun fact.
- 8:14Dayna Roselli: And you know what?
- 8:15Dayna Roselli: I learned something new.
- 8:17Dayna Roselli: Um, she said after years of pronouncing the restaurant China Poblano, as most people do, and as we did on our podcast, we were informed last year by an employee at one of his other restaurants, Bazaar Mar, that it's actually pronounced China Pablano.
- 8:33Dayna Roselli: I looked it up and she is correct.
- 8:36Dayna Roselli: And I learned something new, and I'm excited to know the fun fact.
- 8:39Sean McAllister: So listen, especially when it comes to uh pronunciations of things, if you hear something on the podcast, please correct us because we don't want to go on perpetually saying the wrong uh saying things the wrong way.
- 8:55Dayna Roselli: But she she did say uh like most people pronounce it China.
- 8:58Dayna Roselli: So like it's what it looks like.
- 9:00Dayna Roselli: It's not like you know, we were like the only ones or anything like that.
- 9:04Dayna Roselli: Like most people, and that's why the the person had said that was like oh okay, that makes I that makes sense.
- 9:09Dayna Roselli: I always wondered why the China was in there.
- 9:11Dayna Roselli: Yeah, China Poblano.
- 9:12Sean McAllister: China Poblano.
- 9:14Dayna Roselli: So there you have it.
- 9:14Dayna Roselli: The more you know, the more you know.
- 9:16Dayna Roselli: Hey, a big sale's going on, uh, and it's starting soon.
- 9:20Dayna Roselli: So get ready for this.
- 9:22Dayna Roselli: What uh this podcast drops on what 9 17, I think, and um there's a five-day sale going on at visitlosvegas.com and it starts drumroll 922.
- 9:34Dayna Roselli: So September 22nd.
- 9:36Sean McAllister: Yeah, so be online, be on the lookout because there are going to be more than 120 unique offers across hotels, dining, experiences, entertainment, all here in Las Vegas.
- 9:54Sean McAllister: The destination is going on sale.
- 9:57Sean McAllister: So if you are thinking about coming to Las Vegas for a vacation, a birthday, an anniversary, maybe a football game.
- 10:05Sean McAllister: If your team is playing the Raiders at Allegiance Stadium, this could be a great way to save on your hotel and your entertainment and your food.
- 10:14Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 10:14Dayna Roselli: And that's what we kind of said about the MGM all inclusive, too, where people were coming in for uh football games.
- 10:19Dayna Roselli: It's a great time to take advantage of that, too.
- 10:21Dayna Roselli: The one at the Excalibur and Luxor.
- 10:23Dayna Roselli: But this is gonna be all across the board.
- 10:25Dayna Roselli: Last year I remember there it was basically almost every property was on board.
- 10:30Dayna Roselli: So we don't know the details just yet, but we know it's gonna be good and that this could really save you some money.
- 10:37Dayna Roselli: So starting September 22nd lasts for five days.
- 10:41Dayna Roselli: Did we already say last year was super successful?
- 10:44Dayna Roselli: So they're doing it again.
- 10:45Dayna Roselli: Um, and we're excited to find out more, but we now can say that the sale is happening, details to come.
- 10:54Sean McAllister: TBD.
- 10:55Sean McAllister: But again, set the alarm on your phone for the morning of September 22nd, because that's when all the specifics of all the deals are going to be going live at visitlosvegas.com.
- 11:08Dayna Roselli: They're they're gonna have a specific link for this.
- 11:10Dayna Roselli: So we'll have more on that.
- 11:11Dayna Roselli: And I can throw it in the show notes after this um actually gets posted once we have it too.
- 11:16Dayna Roselli: Um, but they're working on that site now, so um the it they'll push to that.
- 11:20Dayna Roselli: But I know if you go to the front page, it'll probably, you know, push you right to the deals page anyway.
- 11:25Dayna Roselli: So whatever, we're whatever that landing page will be.
- 11:27Sean McAllister: Yeah, and a lot of resorts are going to be pushing their specific deals as well.
- 11:31Sean McAllister: So just keep your eyes peeled.
- 11:33Sean McAllister: September 22nd is the day.
- 11:35Dayna Roselli: Uh PS, I went to the Excalibur this weekend and it was Mexican Independence Day.
- 11:39Dayna Roselli: So many things going on, right?
- 11:40Sean McAllister: Right.
- 11:41Dayna Roselli: Me and my friend walked into the kind of the like lobby-ish area.
- 11:46Dayna Roselli: Well, like a side door.
- 11:47Dayna Roselli: It was like, anyway, it was I've never seen, I'm like, what is going on?
- 11:50Dayna Roselli: People were sitting on the floor with their luggage, it was spread out all over.
- 11:53Dayna Roselli: Really?
- 11:54Dayna Roselli: And we asked us, like, the whole thing was full down the hallway.
- 11:57Dayna Roselli: We're like, what is going on?
- 11:58Dayna Roselli: And she said, Well, people are coming in for Mexican Independence Day, and they're actually coming in by the bus loads.
- 12:05Dayna Roselli: So this bus or two just unloaded.
- 12:09Dayna Roselli: So now we've got to check all these people in.
- 12:12Sean McAllister: Oh my God.
- 12:13Dayna Roselli: So I thought that was so interesting because it was busy out there this weekend, but I was like, wow, all the she's like, Yeah, they're going to, you know, some of the shows and they're doing some of the things and taking part in the celebrations.
- 12:23Dayna Roselli: And we really are a destination for Mexican Independence Day weekend.
- 12:27Sean McAllister: That's amazing.
- 12:28Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 12:28Dayna Roselli: People were all over the place, Sean.
- 12:30Dayna Roselli: I was like, it was like, I was like, is there like a I don't know, like a uh kids' high school basketball tournament?
- 12:36Dayna Roselli: Because it were families, families, kids, adults, like the whole thing.
- 12:40Speaker: Wow.
- 12:41Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 12:41Dayna Roselli: So it was crazy.
- 12:43Dayna Roselli: So yeah, I was like, wow, I hope everyone had fun.
- 12:45Dayna Roselli: I know we had amazing shows in town.
- 12:47Dayna Roselli: Uh, what, Manah?
- 12:49Sean McAllister: Yeah, Mana was in town.
- 12:50Sean McAllister: Uh Karin Leon was doing shows over at Sphere, also.
- 12:54Sean McAllister: One of those shows had to be canceled, though.
- 12:57Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 12:57Sean McAllister: Like as he was supposed to be performing.
- 13:00Dayna Roselli: I know he's getting some flack for that.
- 13:01Sean McAllister: He's getting some flack for it because his fans were already inside Sphere waiting for the show to start.
- 13:07Sean McAllister: Uh, and apparently there were transportation issues that prevented him from getting to Las Vegas.
- 13:14Dayna Roselli: Um He did explain it.
- 13:15Dayna Roselli: I think it was on his Instagram, his Instagram, I think, his personal one, and it was shared.
- 13:20Dayna Roselli: Um, but then most of the, like you're saying, most of the comments were kind of like, Well, you shouldn't really travel on the day of the show, so close to the show.
- 13:28Dayna Roselli: Because transportation things do arise.
- 13:32Dayna Roselli: So yeah.
- 13:33Dayna Roselli: But he did add more dates in 2027.
- 13:35Dayna Roselli: He's gonna be back Mexican Independence Day next year, too.
- 13:37Dayna Roselli: So it was a success.
- 13:38Sean McAllister: He is, oh, it's without a doubt, it's a success and probably lesson learned on the transport.
- 13:46Dayna Roselli: Well, I was asking you about Oasis because I said, you know, Oasis is coming to Allegiant Stadium.
- 13:51Dayna Roselli: It was announced today, the day that we're recording this podcast.
- 13:54Dayna Roselli: And I thought, wow, are they that popular to have three nights at Allegiant Stadium?
- 13:59Dayna Roselli: And you said, yes, they are.
- 14:01Sean McAllister: Yeah, because so they broke up for a long time.
- 14:04Sean McAllister: Right.
- 14:05Sean McAllister: And there was uh a lot of speculation from the band members themselves that they were never going to get back together to do anything ever again.
- 14:16Sean McAllister: Well, uh the seas parted, the miracle happened, and they've been out on this huge world tour, and people are people have been just flocking to these OASIS shows.
- 14:33Sean McAllister: So yeah, it's no surprise that they're doing three nights here at Allegiant Stadium.
- 14:39Sean McAllister: This is coming up in 2027, though, so the uh concert experience is continuing, the reunion is continuing uh Friday, August 20th, the 21st, and Tuesday, August 24th, uh, all at Allegiant Stadium, Oasis on stage.
- 14:59Dayna Roselli: All right.
- 14:59Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's Oasis Live 27.
- 15:01Dayna Roselli: They're doing 38 live shows, and we get three of them, which is pretty cool.
- 15:06Dayna Roselli: That is pretty cool.
- 15:07Dayna Roselli: Hey, I was a little confused at first when I saw Oprah was playing the sphere, but then once I read a little bit more into it, I was like, okay.
- 15:14Dayna Roselli: So Oprah Winfrey coming to the sphere.
- 15:16Dayna Roselli: Oprah Winfrey's Aha, a first of its kind immersive experience.
- 15:21Dayna Roselli: Um, and it's just for one weekend, April 2nd to the 4th, uh, obviously, of 2027.
- 15:27Sean McAllister: Yeah, and this is a collection of really global artists who are you're going to hear music.
- 15:34Sean McAllister: There's going to be poetry.
- 15:36Sean McAllister: Obviously, there's going to be incredible uh visuals uh mixed in here as well.
- 15:42Sean McAllister: This is being produced by uh Baz Helpin, right, who has uh been behind some of the most iconic uh performances in music history.
- 15:53Sean McAllister: He was also one of the minds behind uh Awakening over at Win Las Vegas.
- 15:59Dayna Roselli: Quite a spectacle.
- 16:00Sean McAllister: And what Katy Perry's halftime show at Super Bowl, uh Brittany Spears, lots and lots of A-list entertainers.
- 16:10Sean McAllister: Uh Beyonce, I think he worked with as well.
- 16:12Sean McAllister: Um so it'll be really interesting to see how all of this comes together.
- 16:18Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 16:18Dayna Roselli: She did a video today saying that, you know, ever since she walked in to see you two, I remember that opening weekend we said she was there.
- 16:25Dayna Roselli: She just thought, wow, this is an incredible space.
- 16:29Dayna Roselli: What could I do with it?
- 16:30Dayna Roselli: kind of deal.
- 16:31Dayna Roselli: And she's thrilled to bring this moment to Las Vegas.
- 16:35Dayna Roselli: And, you know, I'm sure it could be something that could be reoccurring, possibly.
- 16:39Sean McAllister: Oh, sure.
- 16:40Dayna Roselli: You know, year after year.
- 16:41Dayna Roselli: So it sounds like there'll be some um when I clicked on the website, surprise guests as well.
- 16:45Dayna Roselli: So um that might entice you.
- 16:48Dayna Roselli: And uh yeah, just it seems like uh it's just gonna be a variety of different kinds of things.
- 16:52Dayna Roselli: Four shows, one weekend only, uh, tons of VIP packages and like, you know, bundles that you can do.
- 16:58Dayna Roselli: There's a pre-sale sign-up on the website right now.
- 17:00Dayna Roselli: It's aha live.com.
- 17:02Dayna Roselli: So A-H-A live.com.
- 17:05Sean McAllister: And yes, Oprah will be there in person to kind of guide guide fans and and visitors, ticket holders uh through this first of its kind immersive experience.
- 17:20Dayna Roselli: They always said they were gonna do a bunch of different things at Sphere.
- 17:22Dayna Roselli: So, and actually, uh this next week we're going to see the new 4D effects out that they're adding to Wizard of Oz or changing up.
- 17:30Dayna Roselli: So, I mean, they're always changing things, they're coming up with creative ideas.
- 17:34Dayna Roselli: We just had the first Latin artist at the sphere.
- 17:36Dayna Roselli: I mean, there's always something groundbreaking happening.
- 17:39Dayna Roselli: And didn't we read?
- 17:40Dayna Roselli: I forgot, we were gonna, you know, maybe we'll talk more about it next week, but I did read something on one of our local news stations that said the sphere is really obviously bringing in so much money for our city as a whole, even more than was it gambling?
- 17:55Dayna Roselli: I don't know, something like that.
- 17:56Dayna Roselli: It was something like that.
- 17:58Sean McAllister: Well, it could be.
- 17:59Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I I sent you a X, uh, it was a it was something on X, but it was one of the news stations that posted it.
- 18:06Sean McAllister: But the um I do know that um Yes, sorry.
- 18:10Dayna Roselli: Yep, experience over gaming is what the article is about.
- 18:14Dayna Roselli: And it said non-gaming entertainment is bringing huge tax revenue to Nevada, and it says the state of Nevada is reporting a nearly 400% increase in tax revenue that can be traced to a surge of live events and shows across the valley.
- 18:30Sean McAllister: Yeah, which is pretty darn incredible.
- 18:31Sean McAllister: It is the sphere is the number one uh experience that people are visiting at in Las Vegas right now, followed number two is Area 15.
- 18:44Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 18:44Dayna Roselli: You just uh we talked about it on the City Cast podcast.
- 18:47Dayna Roselli: We were just guests on that recently, but I don't think we mentioned here that you had asked for some s new statistics there, and they said they were up what 20% year 20% year over year, every single month uh in 2026, and that's for their visitation numbers.
- 19:03Sean McAllister: Wow.
- 19:04Sean McAllister: So the visitation just keeps going up and up and up over there at uh area 15, the number two experience attraction behind Sphere.
- 19:13Sean McAllister: Uh I think they just won um like a another best in Las Vegas uh kind of a thing as well.
- 19:22Dayna Roselli: They've got a lot of different uh we were talking about it um over the weekend with some friends who were visiting who used to live here, and they said, Well, what is it?
- 19:29Dayna Roselli: And I was like, Well, it's like you can buy one ticket and and and jump around to different experiences.
- 19:35Dayna Roselli: You can eat there, you can drink there.
- 19:37Dayna Roselli: Um you know, there's different areas, they have very unique things.
- 19:41Dayna Roselli: It it immerses art, like there's just so much, so much going on.
- 19:46Dayna Roselli: They're getting a 747 that's gonna be a cocktail lounge.
- 19:49Dayna Roselli: Like they just have some really unique things there, and uh that must be what people want.
- 19:55Sean McAllister: It it must be.
- 19:56Sean McAllister: They were just uh uh the Las Vegas Weekly, which is a a weekly magazine publication uh here, obviously in Las Vegas.
- 20:05Sean McAllister: Um, it was just awarded the best attraction, the reader's choice for best attraction for the sixth year in a row.
- 20:13Dayna Roselli: It's interesting.
- 20:14Dayna Roselli: And you know, just keep in mind that all this wonderful stuff is happening, and you know, some of it can be pricey, and we know that.
- 20:20Dayna Roselli: So now let's get into some things that aren't pricey.
- 20:24Dayna Roselli: How about that?
- 20:24Sean McAllister: Yes, let's do that.
- 20:26Dayna Roselli: And one of them is uh a live music um series, concert series over at the Rio.
- 20:31Dayna Roselli: They just announced they're doing seven free performances at the Rio event stage.
- 20:37Dayna Roselli: Um, started actually September 12th, continues through November 28th, and they're gonna have a long list of different kinds of music.
- 20:44Dayna Roselli: They're doing everything from rock and roll, RB, uh 90s favorites, all that kind of stuff.
- 20:49Dayna Roselli: Free performances begin at nine o'clock.
- 20:51Dayna Roselli: It's open to anyone 21 and older, and you can get the full calendar on the Rio's website.
- 20:56Dayna Roselli: But what is it?
- 20:57Dayna Roselli: First come, first serve, and and uh mission is free with seating and standing room available.
- 21:02Sean McAllister: And the Rio event stage is pretty much right in the middle of uh the gaming floor over there.
- 21:09Sean McAllister: You know, you have the kind of two areas of the Rio.
- 21:13Sean McAllister: If you walk in from uh valet, you have that main area with the center bar, and then if you take a right, you go down to the masquerade village side of the Rio, and as you make your way down there, you pass that big event stage right in the center.
- 21:28Sean McAllister: And they've really done a good job over there at uh at Rio of activating that space for National Finals rodeo.
- 21:37Sean McAllister: They set up screens for World Cup, they turn that into a viewing experience, and now they have this free Rio concert series, which is a great thing on Saturday nights.
- 21:48Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it really is.
- 21:49Dayna Roselli: We also had one of our listeners, Brian, write us in saying that he went to WOW at Rio and want to know if we had ever been.
- 21:55Dayna Roselli: Both of us have been.
- 21:56Dayna Roselli: It's been that there for a very long time, actually, that show.
- 21:59Dayna Roselli: Um, but he loves it.
- 21:59Dayna Roselli: He loved it.
- 22:00Dayna Roselli: He thought it was amazing.
- 22:01Dayna Roselli: And he said, uh, going back to your last week's episode, I just wanted you to know I did find a ticket price for under $70.
- 22:07Dayna Roselli: So there's a lot of value.
- 22:08Dayna Roselli: And WoW is good.
- 22:09Dayna Roselli: It's a good variety of different kinds of acts.
- 22:12Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 22:12Dayna Roselli: So I mean it is fun.
- 22:14Dayna Roselli: It's uh it's not a full theater in the round, right?
- 22:18Dayna Roselli: But it's kind of like a horseshoe.
- 22:20Sean McAllister: But it's it's pretty, it wraps around the the audience, does wrap around the stage.
- 22:25Dayna Roselli: Yeah, yeah.
- 22:26Sean McAllister: To some degree.
- 22:26Sean McAllister: And they've got water, uh water is incorporated into it.
- 22:30Sean McAllister: Lots of different kinds of acts are incorporated.
- 22:36Dayna Roselli: People seem to like it and it and it's doing well because it's been there for quite a long time.
- 22:41Dayna Roselli: I remember going to the opening.
- 22:43Sean McAllister: So do I.
- 22:43Dayna Roselli: And that was before COVID, wasn't it?
- 22:46Dayna Roselli: Yeah, before 2020.
- 22:48Dayna Roselli: I love that we call 2020 COVID.
- 22:50Dayna Roselli: I shouldn't just I should just say before 2020.
- 22:53Sean McAllister: No, we don't want to bring up COVID.
- 22:55Sean McAllister: No.
- 22:56Sean McAllister: No.
- 22:56Dayna Roselli: Um, and then also coming to the Rio, uh, if you're ready for a little redneck woman, uh, Gretchen Wilson is heading there and she is playing for uh tickets that start at $59.99.
- 23:06Dayna Roselli: Um, those are on sale now, and that is November 13th.
- 23:10Dayna Roselli: You know, Gretchen Wilson has a Grammy, uh, Grammy Award, and uh, she's taking over the Penn and Teller Theater on November 13th.
- 23:17Dayna Roselli: So she'll be down there in a different location.
- 23:20Sean McAllister: And if country is your thing and you want to see some country music live, there's an all-star lineup of music talent that's coming to the Resorts World Theater uh in December as well.
- 23:32Sean McAllister: This is all around uh National Finals rodeo.
- 23:35Sean McAllister: Dwight Yokum will be there, Gary Allen will be there, Chris Young will be there.
- 23:40Sean McAllister: They're all playing on different nights, uh, but those performances all take place ahead of Riley Green's tour, which is also stopping over there at Resorts World on Sunday, December 6th and on December 10th.
- 23:55Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 23:56Dayna Roselli: That'll be that's a good list of performances because we've been talking about different ones coming to the Coliseum in different spots, but um, and some of them are doing a few days, but I like that you know, this is kind of changing out, and that's a great theater.
- 24:08Dayna Roselli: I'm glad they're using it for NFR because sometimes there's not a lot in there at Resorts World Theater.
- 24:12Sean McAllister: I know.
- 24:13Dayna Roselli: So it's good to see that this'll be a spot for that.
- 24:15Dayna Roselli: I was in Resorts World just last week and I thought, wow, I really do love this property, it's so nice, and nothing was playing in the theater.
- 24:23Sean McAllister: Well, and that's a great theater too.
- 24:25Sean McAllister: It's so easy to get in and out of.
- 24:27Sean McAllister: And even once you get inside, you know how some theaters it can feel really uh like people are crammed in, especially at the concession uh areas.
- 24:40Sean McAllister: You don't get that at Resorts World.
- 24:42Sean McAllister: There's plenty of area to move around once you get into the lobby, and it is it's a great theater.
- 24:49Dayna Roselli: And not to talk holidays already, but I just wanted to mention because I know a lot of people look forward to this.
- 24:54Dayna Roselli: Um, and you know, Oasis is playing uh Allegiance Stadium, but we have our own Oasis in the desert, and that is the Oasis Ice Rink at Fountain Blue.
- 25:03Dayna Roselli: It will return.
- 25:04Dayna Roselli: They are again hosting the holiday celebrations there at the Fountain Blue.
- 25:08Dayna Roselli: Um, it all starts November 19th through January 17th.
- 25:12Dayna Roselli: And remember, it's the strip's largest and only real ice rink.
- 25:16Sean McAllister: And it's a great spot.
- 25:17Dayna Roselli: It is.
- 25:18Sean McAllister: Um, plenty of plenty of room there to move around, too.
- 25:21Dayna Roselli: Yeah, to move around, skate around.
- 25:23Dayna Roselli: They got those luxury fire pits, uh, tons of special events, uh, food, cocktails, the whole nine.
- 25:28Dayna Roselli: What did we try last year?
- 25:29Dayna Roselli: The dirty soda.
- 25:30Sean McAllister: The dirty soda was good.
- 25:32Dayna Roselli: It really was good.
- 25:32Dayna Roselli: They had lots of different flavors.
- 25:34Sean McAllister: I was surprised by that.
- 25:35Sean McAllister: That was a that was actually my first ever sip of dirty soda.
- 25:40Dayna Roselli: Yeah, me too.
- 25:40Sean McAllister: I had never had it.
- 25:41Dayna Roselli: I never even heard of it before.
- 25:43Dayna Roselli: You had to explain to me because you watch reality TV and you watch Utah Housewives.
- 25:49Sean McAllister: That's right.
- 25:50Sean McAllister: And they love their dirty sodas.
- 25:53Dayna Roselli: Um, hey, uh, FYI also, uh, we already mentioned we're going to Wizard of Oz.
- 25:58Dayna Roselli: We're also going to uh afternoon tea at Martha Stewart's restaurant over at Paris, the Bedford, and we'll tell you more about that experience.
- 26:06Dayna Roselli: That's going to be something that's ongoing.
- 26:08Sean McAllister: Yeah, and they're uh they kind of change up the the dining room too for this afternoon tea experience so that is different for if you go in for dinner.
- 26:18Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 26:19Sean McAllister: So yeah, that'll be great, and we'll talk more about that.
- 26:21Dayna Roselli: Because I think we've talked in the past that that restaurant row there at Paris, sometimes you walk through it, and if it's in the day, they're all closed, they're all open for dinner.
- 26:28Dayna Roselli: So this'll be good to have a little bit of you know, vibrancy and things going on there.
- 26:34Sean McAllister: Activity.
- 26:34Dayna Roselli: The restaurant row.
- 26:36Dayna Roselli: Well, let's do some celebrity news with a Vegas twist now.
- 26:42Sean McAllister: We're kicking off celebrity news with a Vegas twist with none other than Usher.
- 26:47Sean McAllister: He got he has his skates, he's done a couple residency shows here, and now he has his own wax figure.
- 26:54Dayna Roselli: I know, and it looks just like him.
- 26:56Dayna Roselli: He actually just did two shows at Allegiant Stadium with Chris Brown, too.
- 26:59Dayna Roselli: So he's here a lot.
- 27:00Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 27:00Dayna Roselli: Um, but anyway, yeah, it's crazy because some of these wax figures, they look, they resemble, and they look pretty good, and some are just right on, and his is right on, right?
- 27:11Sean McAllister: It's incredible.
- 27:12Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it really is.
- 27:14Dayna Roselli: Um, but he worked with a team of studio artists from Madame Tussauds, over at the uh Venetian, by the way.
- 27:19Dayna Roselli: This is located in the Grand Canal area, um, during a sitting where hundreds of measurements and photos uh photographs from every single angle were taken to capture his exact features, including hair color, eye color, and skin tone.
- 27:31Dayna Roselli: He also donated the wax figure's signature wardrobe, so it's actually his, including that skeleton biker jacket that he wore during his Vegas residency.
- 27:42Dayna Roselli: So I know you and I were talking, and and you were saying not you don't think every celebrity sits in on their creation of their wax figure, and that this probably really helped.
- 27:54Sean McAllister: Well, absolutely, because I do know that uh for some of these figures, they work strictly off of photos and video, and they have references and everything that they use too.
- 28:06Sean McAllister: And the the artists for Madame Tussauds are incredible.
- 28:09Sean McAllister: You don't get anything like the remember that Princess Diana statue that was kind of unveiled a while back and it just didn't look anything like her?
- 28:18Sean McAllister: Like every you can tell who every single one of these wax figures is.
- 28:24Sean McAllister: Yeah, however, for Usher, because he sat and they did have those measurements and they could do all of the skin tone matching, the eyes, all that, it really is remarkable.
- 28:36Sean McAllister: It took nine months.
- 28:38Dayna Roselli: Wow, so they had an Usher baby, it's like they had it as twin.
- 28:41Sean McAllister: It is, it is, and they uh they put in every piece of hair individually, it was all hand painted.
- 28:50Sean McAllister: It was just about two dozen artists who helped to sculpt and put this figure together, and Usher was here for the unveiling.
- 29:00Dayna Roselli: And sounds like he approves.
- 29:02Usher: It looks more like me than me.
- 29:04Usher: Man, you guys got the nose, everything.
- 29:07Usher: This is amazing.
- 29:09Usher: I'm blown away.
- 29:10Usher: You guys got my eyes right.
- 29:13Usher: This is crazy.
- 29:16Usher: This uh this jacket had a viral moment.
- 29:18Usher: Um, and there were a lot of them uh during my Vegas residency.
- 29:22Usher: Um, this is one of the outfits that I wore during my Vegas residency.
- 29:25Usher: I mean, the pants, the skates, everything.
- 29:29Usher: Uh the gloves, the U-Chain.
- 29:32Usher: Did you guys like steal some of my hair from my barber or something?
- 29:35Usher: Like, you guys got my grade and everything.
- 29:38Usher: Like, this is it's a it's I'm blown away.
- 29:41Sean McAllister: So if you ever wanted to get up close and personal with your favorite celebrity, put Madame Tussauds on your Las Vegas to-do list because that's the place uh where you're most likely to have a chance to get up close and personal and snap a picture with them.
- 29:55Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and you can get some great pictures in there, right?
- 29:57Dayna Roselli: All sorts of celebrities.
- 29:58Sean McAllister: Like you can't when I worked at the TV station here years ago, they brought in a Bradley Cooper wax figure, and I posted a picture.
- 30:06Sean McAllister: Like this was on Facebook back in the day, and people were like, Oh my gosh, you got to meet Bradley Cooper.
- 30:11Sean McAllister: That's so cool.
- 30:13Dayna Roselli: There you go.
- 30:14Dayna Roselli: See?
- 30:15Dayna Roselli: And nowadays with AI, who knows?
- 30:18Dayna Roselli: Everyone's with somebody, but this is the real thing.
- 30:20Dayna Roselli: So it's a real wax figure.
- 30:22Dayna Roselli: Uh, so pretty cool.
- 30:23Dayna Roselli: If you want to see Usher, he's over there added to the collection at the Venetian.
- 30:27Dayna Roselli: And a lot of people may not know we have a Madame Tussauds over there.
- 30:30Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 30:30Dayna Roselli: It's been there and it's a staple.
- 30:32Dayna Roselli: Again, one of those things that we don't talk about a lot because it's just been there and it's successful.
- 30:36Sean McAllister: Right.
- 30:37Dayna Roselli: So go check it out.
- 30:39Dayna Roselli: Um, okay, I think that's it for us this week.
- 30:41Dayna Roselli: We will be back, of course, next week with more stuff.
- 30:44Dayna Roselli: If you want to check out our interview that we did on City Cast, you can pop over there and you can see uh, well, we did like an hour show, right?
- 30:50Sean McAllister: Yeah, it was almost an hour.
- 30:51Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 30:52Dayna Roselli: Half hour, yeah.
- 30:53Sean McAllister: Uh, but there was some good good conversation in there about the Las Vegas entertainment scene, how it's changing, what it could evolve into.
- 31:00Sean McAllister: So, yeah, we do invite you to uh listen to Citycast Las Vegas for that conversation.
- 31:07Sean McAllister: And of course, always you can go to our Vegas Revealed YouTube channel.
- 31:11Sean McAllister: Uh, our TV shows are uploaded there.
- 31:14Sean McAllister: You can see the visuals for a lot of the things that we talk about here on the podcast.
- 31:20Sean McAllister: So um go check that out.
- 31:22Dayna Roselli: And I know we've said it before, but we really are very proud of some of the recent shows we put together.
- 31:26Dayna Roselli: They just keep getting better and better.
- 31:28Dayna Roselli: And I think people really, really enjoy it.

- 31:33Dayna Roselli: You can also log online to VegasNearMe.com.
