- 1:02:07Like if you are under
- 1:02:09eight figures a year,
- 1:02:10the founder should
- 1:02:11probably lead all that.
- 1:02:12Like the founder is
- 1:02:13probably the best person
- 1:02:15to know about the creative strategy.
- 1:02:17And it's probably also the
- 1:02:18biggest lever for the business.
- 1:02:19If that person can unlock
- 1:02:20that next stage of growth,
- 1:02:22it's going to change everything.
- 1:02:23And it's been talked here,
- 1:02:25it's been talked everywhere.
- 1:02:27One ad can change your
- 1:02:28business and life, a single ad.
- 1:02:30You can find all
- 1:02:31those inspos on Pinterest.
- 1:02:34And one good way to start,
- 1:02:36and that's what we do,
- 1:02:37but also what the brands
- 1:02:38who are listening to
- 1:02:39this can do on their own,
- 1:02:40which is to really get their
- 1:02:41head out of the inspiration,
- 1:02:44the meta library, pretty much.
- 1:02:46And try and seek new
- 1:02:47ways to seek content.
- 1:02:49And actually
- 1:02:50Pinterest is a very good one.
- 1:02:51And that's how we were able
- 1:02:53to provide very creative stuff
- 1:02:55for Holo and some other brands as well.
- 1:02:57It really started there.
- 1:02:57Even the top ones, I think
- 1:02:59this is where some brands
- 1:02:59need to be a little bit more loose
- 1:03:02with the like on brand shit,
- 1:03:04which is the top ad that you have for us
- 1:03:06is not even our socks.
- 1:03:08It's an AI generated
- 1:03:09version of our compression socks.
- 1:03:10And it looks close, it
- 1:03:11looks like really close.
- 1:03:13It's not exactly it,
- 1:03:14but the actual background
- 1:03:16that it produced behind it and
- 1:03:17just like the aesthetic of it
- 1:03:18and just the way to show
- 1:03:20the product looks great,
- 1:03:22obviously is like eye catching,
- 1:03:23and then it has like a
- 1:03:23great testimonial on that ad.
- 1:03:25There are a few others that
- 1:03:26have like crazy backgrounds,
- 1:03:28right, they're like desert backgrounds,
- 1:03:30insane pattern backgrounds.
- 1:03:31Like there's a lot of
- 1:03:33creativity behind these.
- 1:03:34These are definitely not
- 1:03:35templates like you said
- 1:03:36that you would just go to Atria or
- 1:03:39Foreplay or whatever
- 1:03:40and just rip from somebody else.
- 1:03:42These are like net new concepts.
- 1:03:43I think that's why they're working.
- 1:03:45So I mean, I think I just
- 1:03:46have to give you kudos for that
- 1:03:47is like you're bringing
- 1:03:47new things to the table
- 1:03:48that aren't just
- 1:03:49another ad with just like
- 1:03:51four value props with arrows
- 1:03:53that every single brand runs, right?
- 1:03:55(upbeat music)
- 1:03:57(upbeat music)
- 1:04:02And now let's take a listen
- 1:04:03to the Scalability School Podcast.
- 1:04:06Welcome to the
- 1:04:07Scalability School Podcast.
- 1:04:09Special guest today, Simon from Static.
- 1:04:12Recording live from
- 1:04:13France all over the world,
- 1:04:14not in Wisconsin around,
- 1:04:16although he did come to Wisconsin,
- 1:04:17which was pretty unusual.
- 1:04:18Unusual.
- 1:04:19Europeans in Wisconsin
- 1:04:20since his war ancestors came.
- 1:04:22Yeah, when you were growing up,
- 1:04:24did you ever dream of
- 1:04:24traveling to Wisconsin?
- 1:04:26Actually, I kind of did.
- 1:04:28So on TikTok, you have a whole trend
- 1:04:31of America's nature kind of thing.
- 1:04:34And I was seeing
- 1:04:34these TikToks of Wisconsin
- 1:04:36and the state of Washington as well,
- 1:04:38Wyoming to like a bunch of animals.
- 1:04:41And actually, yeah, I was kind of,
- 1:04:44I kind of wanted to go
- 1:04:45there to Chicago as well,
- 1:04:46which I did.
- 1:04:47So it was very cool.
- 1:04:49Yeah, Appleton's
- 1:04:50beautiful this time of year.
- 1:04:51Great place.
- 1:04:52It's gorgeous.
- 1:04:53I don't know if I just want to go there.
- 1:04:55(laughing)
- 1:04:57It's just local humor
- 1:04:59where we make fun of where we're from.
- 1:05:02If you don't know Static,
- 1:05:03Static is an incredible company
- 1:05:05that really started in Simon,
- 1:05:07talk just briefly about the company,
- 1:05:08but it really started
- 1:05:09doing just Static ads.
- 1:05:11And now it's grown.
- 1:05:13I mean, you're one of the
- 1:05:14biggest players in the game.
- 1:05:15It's grown significantly
- 1:05:16and you're getting into video as well.
- 1:05:18Yeah.
- 1:05:19You know, I mean, you guys
- 1:05:20have such a dialed in process
- 1:05:21and you've taken on some of
- 1:05:22the biggest brands in D2C.
- 1:05:23So why don't you show
- 1:05:25people a little bit about Static,
- 1:05:26what you guys do?
- 1:05:27Yeah, so the story is I
- 1:05:28used to be a media buyer.
- 1:05:30I was buying med ads
- 1:05:31mostly for e-com brands.
- 1:05:32And at the time I
- 1:05:33thought video ads were amazing,
- 1:05:35but they took forever to make.
- 1:05:37And I was like, okay,
- 1:05:38what's the quickest way to
- 1:05:39get your message out there?
- 1:05:41And I actually started to
- 1:05:42design a bunch of static ads
- 1:05:44myself for my units spend,
- 1:05:45and they worked pretty well.
- 1:05:47And so I called my
- 1:05:47buddy Jules and I told him,
- 1:05:49you know, I think we
- 1:05:50have an opportunity here
- 1:05:51to create an entire
- 1:05:52content based on them.
- 1:05:54We could deliver that
- 1:05:55at scale, do a great job,
- 1:05:57hopefully, you know,
- 1:05:58work with the right people
- 1:05:59and go from there.
- 1:06:01And so we did and then eventually,
- 1:06:03and now we're probably
- 1:06:04shipping like three to 4,000
- 1:06:06static ads per month.
- 1:06:07And so we're thinking about the next step
- 1:06:09and which video, video
- 1:06:10ads and services recently.
- 1:06:11That's awesome, dude.
- 1:06:12Well, you know, people
- 1:06:13come to the Scalability School
- 1:06:14podcast, the tens of
- 1:06:15listeners that we have
- 1:06:16to really get into the tactics
- 1:06:19and the deep understanding
- 1:06:20of like what's working, right?
- 1:06:22So let's just kick it off right away,
- 1:06:24which is you're obviously
- 1:06:26building and creating a ton
- 1:06:27of ads.
- 1:06:28And I think one thing you
- 1:06:28guys have done incredibly well
- 1:06:30is build this formula that to
- 1:06:33a degree that seems to work,
- 1:06:35you have a really good
- 1:06:36understanding of what converts.
- 1:06:38So what are the formats right now?
- 1:06:40KRSL, you know, UGC statics
- 1:06:42and what's being overlooked.
- 1:06:44What's working in that realm right now
- 1:06:47that people can apply right away?
- 1:06:49Yeah, so like, so
- 1:06:50static ads, first of all,
- 1:06:51static ads, they probably
- 1:06:52work better in certain settings.
- 1:06:56Right?
- 1:06:56So like, for example, offer brands,
- 1:06:59like, you know, AG1 is
- 1:07:00probably the OG of these offer
- 1:07:03type brands where you subscribe and save
- 1:07:05and you get 20% off.
- 1:07:06Well, if you can
- 1:07:07somehow format your brand
- 1:07:08to be an offer brand based,
- 1:07:10and I think a lot of them can actually,
- 1:07:12you're gonna rip with statics because
- 1:07:14you're gonna be able
- 1:07:15to drive a lot of
- 1:07:16traffic at top with video.
- 1:07:18And then you can close all that traffic
- 1:07:20at bottom of funnel with static ads.
- 1:07:22We work with a lot of these offer brands
- 1:07:24and they work well with that.
- 1:07:25Also, one thing that's
- 1:07:26overlooked right now probably
- 1:07:28would be design variations.
- 1:07:30Okay?
- 1:07:31I think a lot of brands are
- 1:07:32still testing for copy tweaks.
- 1:07:35And I think it's fine
- 1:07:36testing them at a point,
- 1:07:38like if you know your messaging already,
- 1:07:39you're probably better off
- 1:07:40going for design variations.
- 1:07:42Okay?
- 1:07:42So that's probably one
- 1:07:43thing that's overlooked.
- 1:07:45Also, you talked about concepts, right?
- 1:07:47I think one thing that brands, you know,
- 1:07:51not do wrong but could
- 1:07:52improve is they think
- 1:07:53of this process backwards in some ways.
- 1:07:56So like they open an ad library,
- 1:07:58they try and see what
- 1:08:00the concept, you know,
- 1:08:01a great concept, they see
- 1:08:02one and they think, okay,
- 1:08:03how can I fit my brand
- 1:08:05into this concept inspiration?
- 1:08:07Whereas it should probably be
- 1:08:08thought the other way around,
- 1:08:10which is what kind of
- 1:08:11message do I want to deliver
- 1:08:14to the world, right?
- 1:08:15And then, okay, what's the
- 1:08:16right concept that feed that?
- 1:08:18You know?
- 1:08:19So it's not really about
- 1:08:20our comparative ads working
- 1:08:22or is a product
- 1:08:23benefit oriented ad better.
- 1:08:25It's really about the process.
- 1:08:26It's about, okay, what's my brand?
- 1:08:28What's the message
- 1:08:28that I want to deliver?
- 1:08:30And then what's the
- 1:08:30right concept for that?
- 1:08:32So like, yeah, AI concepts are working
- 1:08:34really well right now.
- 1:08:35If you have a weight loss brand,
- 1:08:37you should probably kind of
- 1:08:39try and find some concepts
- 1:08:40where you're showing an overweight person
- 1:08:42versus an in shape person, right?
- 1:08:44That's working really well right now.
- 1:08:45It's a very aggressive
- 1:08:46direct response message,
- 1:08:47but that's working for sure.
- 1:08:49And if it fits your brand's messaging,
- 1:08:51you should probably use that.
- 1:08:52So yeah, more than concepts itself,
- 1:08:54it's more about actually
- 1:08:55getting the process right.
- 1:08:57And it starts with your
- 1:08:58brand, not the other way around,
- 1:08:59which is what I see
- 1:09:00usually with maybe, you know,
- 1:09:03seven figure brands-ish,
- 1:09:04eight, nine figure brands,
- 1:09:05they kind of get this right.
- 1:09:07Yeah, we've talked
- 1:09:09maybe a couple of times
- 1:09:10on this podcast and I know
- 1:09:11Zach has been on other shows
- 1:09:13where like you've kind of like described
- 1:09:14the static framework that you use,
- 1:09:17where you come up with
- 1:09:18maybe some different ranges
- 1:09:20of people that you're trying to talk to
- 1:09:22or you kind of pillar messaging
- 1:09:23and you use static to kind
- 1:09:24of prove out those concepts.
- 1:09:26Simon, I'm curious, like,
- 1:09:27what is the average client
- 1:09:29coming to you asking for?
- 1:09:30Like, are they, they kind of know,
- 1:09:32it seems like you're
- 1:09:32working with like big brands
- 1:09:34for the most part.
- 1:09:35So like, they come to you with like
- 1:09:36pretty defined like,
- 1:09:37hey, we know this works.
- 1:09:38We're trying to just do more of this.
- 1:09:40So are you taking
- 1:09:40kind of the core message
- 1:09:41and helping deliver on just
- 1:09:42like a wider range of variations
- 1:09:45within that core message?
- 1:09:46Or like, what is the
- 1:09:46average client asking you for?
- 1:09:48Yeah, so like big brands,
- 1:09:50I mean big brands like
- 1:09:51eight to nine figure brands,
- 1:09:52which most of our clients,
- 1:09:54they usually work in cycles, okay?
- 1:09:56So what they do is, let's
- 1:09:58say a cycle is six weeks, okay?
- 1:10:00Six weeks, okay, they're
- 1:10:01going to use static ads
- 1:10:02to try and find a new audience, a new
- 1:10:05funnel, a new offer.
- 1:10:06So like, they're going to
- 1:10:08make dozens of variations,
- 1:10:10testing a pink color background
- 1:10:12with a woman oriented message.
- 1:10:15And then they're going
- 1:10:16to try a blue background
- 1:10:19with a man oriented message.
- 1:10:21And they're going to try
- 1:10:22two funnels out of them.
- 1:10:24Like, and the good thing with static is
- 1:10:26they're super cheap.
- 1:10:27I mean, they're
- 1:10:27cheaper to make than video
- 1:10:28was they get cheaper clicks
- 1:10:30and they're easy to reiterate on.
- 1:10:32So you can actually stop there.
- 1:10:34And once you get some soft and you know,
- 1:10:36some soft metrics hitting,
- 1:10:37and then also CPAs that
- 1:10:39are in line with your target,
- 1:10:40and it starts scaling,
- 1:10:41you can then pile up new
- 1:10:42ad formats on top of that.
- 1:10:44So like you have this kind of cycle
- 1:10:45where brands use us a lot for these.
- 1:10:47And then you have the other
- 1:10:49cycle, which is, I don't know,
- 1:10:51we have the fourth of
- 1:10:51July ads offering, coming,
- 1:10:53and like we need
- 1:10:54hundreds of ads for that.
- 1:10:56And when that happens,
- 1:10:58it's really about scaling,
- 1:11:00like a lot of assets.
- 1:11:01Eventually, they are not going to make
- 1:11:03some copy tweaks on them,
- 1:11:04because like it's the
- 1:11:05fourth of July offer.
- 1:11:07You don't really need that.
- 1:11:08I mean, to have so many to copy tweaks,
- 1:11:10you just need to take the
- 1:11:12evergreen stuff that's working,
- 1:11:14probably add an American flag,
- 1:11:16and you know, spin that
- 1:11:17across your entire SKU set.
- 1:11:19So like, yeah, I think
- 1:11:19to answer the question,
- 1:11:20I feel like they work in cycles,
- 1:11:22cycles of iterations
- 1:11:23to find new audiences
- 1:11:24and cycles of optimizing for volume,
- 1:11:26pushing out a lot of content out there.
- 1:11:28Yeah, that's really interesting.
- 1:11:29And there's a follow up
- 1:11:30question, which is maybe for you,
- 1:11:31but Zach, maybe for you as well.
- 1:11:33You mentioned they're using static.
- 1:11:35I think this was actually like,
- 1:11:37so the average person
- 1:11:38that's listening to this
- 1:11:39is seven to eight figure range.
- 1:11:40And what you said that I
- 1:11:42think is really applicable to them
- 1:11:43is they can use
- 1:11:44statics to find and unlock
- 1:11:45new concepts in messaging.
- 1:11:47And that's like, sounds
- 1:11:47like half of what you're doing
- 1:11:49is just like trying to
- 1:11:50unlock that new thing.
- 1:11:52Do you have insight into
- 1:11:53like how they're identifying
- 1:11:55like what the concepts
- 1:11:56should be in the messaging?
- 1:11:58Like what is that creative
- 1:11:59strategy and research process
- 1:12:01that's kind of like
- 1:12:02going into determining
- 1:12:03who should we even
- 1:12:04try to message to next?
- 1:12:07And I have thoughts on this too,
- 1:12:08and Zach, I'm sure you do too.
- 1:12:09But I'm curious if like you
- 1:12:10have insight into that process.
- 1:12:11Yeah, so like, again, you
- 1:12:12gotta start with your product.
- 1:12:14So let's say you're a
- 1:12:15coffee substitute brand, right?
- 1:12:17That's what you sell.
- 1:12:18You probably have a product
- 1:12:19that based on its ingredients
- 1:12:22that can solve a bunch of issues, right?
- 1:12:24And some issues are more appealing
- 1:12:26towards certain demographic,
- 1:12:28some others to another demographic.
- 1:12:30So like, let's say your
- 1:12:31brand can solve energy issues,
- 1:12:35anxiety stuff, you cannot
- 1:12:36mention it directly that way,
- 1:12:38but then, you know,
- 1:12:39anxiety stuff, energy stuff,
- 1:12:41judge related issues.
- 1:12:43And you're like, okay, who's more likely
- 1:12:45to experience that issue?
- 1:12:47And let's do some basic thinking, right?
- 1:12:51Probably on meta, if
- 1:12:52you target gut issues,
- 1:12:54you should probably target women.
- 1:12:55Because, you know, there are
- 1:12:57more problem aware than men
- 1:12:59on that particular
- 1:13:00issue, most likely, okay?
- 1:13:02If you're targeting, I
- 1:13:04don't know, energy or yeah,
- 1:13:06energy levels, you're probably better off
- 1:13:09trying to target men for some reasons.
- 1:13:11Because overall, you may have more people
- 1:13:14that are ready to
- 1:13:15purchase for that issue, okay?
- 1:13:17And so once you start
- 1:13:18layering those ideas,
- 1:13:20then you can start testing, right?
- 1:13:22You can be, okay, what's the messaging?
- 1:13:24So like, you can just
- 1:13:25draft a bunch of headlines
- 1:13:27on energy, on gut, et cetera.
- 1:13:29You try and make them
- 1:13:30fit to your audience.
- 1:13:31Once you have those
- 1:13:32headlines, like, okay,
- 1:13:33how can I represent my product best?
- 1:13:36And then you put it in a situation
- 1:13:38where you can start bracing static ads.
- 1:13:40So it starts with your
- 1:13:42product itself and what it solves,
- 1:13:44then you can draw a bunch of conclusions
- 1:13:46on which demographics can relate to that.
- 1:13:49Then you draft some headlines.
- 1:13:51The headline step is
- 1:13:52actually very important.
- 1:13:53And once you have those, you
- 1:13:54can think about concepting.
- 1:13:56And then you launch to production,
- 1:13:58you don't sound meta,
- 1:13:59you look at the data
- 1:14:00and you start over again.
- 1:14:01Yeah, that makes a ton of sense.
- 1:14:02I promise this will be my last follow-up
- 1:14:04and I'll let somebody else speak.
- 1:14:06It's interesting that
- 1:14:06you kind of positioned
- 1:14:07the way that you did.
- 1:14:08And I wrote down each of those steps,
- 1:14:10but like what you
- 1:14:11said you started with is,
- 1:14:12you have to think about
- 1:14:13what problems your product
- 1:14:15actually solves.
- 1:14:16We recorded an episode yesterday,
- 1:14:17I don't know when these
- 1:14:18will come out in sequence,
- 1:14:19where we talked about
- 1:14:20one of Zach's recent tweets
- 1:14:21where he kind of ranted.
- 1:14:22And one of the first
- 1:14:22things that he said was,
- 1:14:23like your product
- 1:14:24actually has to solve problems
- 1:14:25because if it doesn't,
- 1:14:26then it makes it really hard
- 1:14:27to actually speak
- 1:14:27about what you usually do.
- 1:14:29And so I think that
- 1:14:29that's a really interesting
- 1:14:30starting point.
- 1:14:31But the other point that
- 1:14:32I wanted to make is like,
- 1:14:33the way that this might
- 1:14:34show up in your ad account is,
- 1:14:36you've been trying things
- 1:14:37for several months in a row,
- 1:14:39and either row as is
- 1:14:40constantly decreasing
- 1:14:41or spend is decreasing,
- 1:14:42but you're kind of like
- 1:14:42flat and you're stuck.
- 1:14:44And so what the solution is to that is,
- 1:14:47in a creative sense
- 1:14:48potentially is going back
- 1:14:50and doing this
- 1:14:51process that you suggested,
- 1:14:52which is listing out all
- 1:14:52the problems that you solved
- 1:14:53that maybe you're not
- 1:14:53currently speaking to,
- 1:14:55and then coming up with
- 1:14:55a plan to build statics
- 1:14:57around that messaging.
- 1:14:59So it is for anybody
- 1:15:00that's struggling with
- 1:15:01maybe plateauing in the ad account.
- 1:15:03This is one of those
- 1:15:04things that you should be doing
- 1:15:05is just following the exact
- 1:15:06process that you laid out.
- 1:15:07Yeah, 100%.
- 1:15:08And if nothing is working,
- 1:15:11you should probably think
- 1:15:12of a bigger swing to make.
- 1:15:14You can actually change the entire
- 1:15:15website if you have to.
- 1:15:17Once you have the
- 1:15:17formula of your product,
- 1:15:19I mean, I say formula
- 1:15:20because we have a lot of
- 1:15:21how can ones brands, but
- 1:15:22once you have your product,
- 1:15:24you can market it in very different ways.
- 1:15:26Even for example, let's take Holo, right?
- 1:15:28You guys sell socks.
- 1:15:29You can market it for winter
- 1:15:31activities through the winter
- 1:15:32and then probably summer activities
- 1:15:34follow through the summer.
- 1:15:35And it's probably two
- 1:15:37very different demographics.
- 1:15:39I mean, I don't know
- 1:15:39how different they are,
- 1:15:41but like, you don't mind what I mean?
- 1:15:42You can make bigger swing.
- 1:15:43You can change the landing page.
- 1:15:45And eventually if nothing is working,
- 1:15:47you could probably
- 1:15:47have a product that sucks.
- 1:15:50I don't know, but like if
- 1:15:51really nothing is working,
- 1:15:53you should probably think
- 1:15:55of re-doing it entirely.
- 1:15:57But yeah, you can do a lot of things
- 1:15:59before setting
- 1:15:59everything down, of course.
- 1:16:01Yeah, I mean, I think
- 1:16:02going through the process
- 1:16:03you talked about is huge.
- 1:16:05I think that's one of
- 1:16:06the things that makes you
- 1:16:07really unique in the
- 1:16:08space that you have walked
- 1:16:11so many brands through
- 1:16:12this successfully and growing
- 1:16:14and you're being put against
- 1:16:16other people in the marketplace
- 1:16:17in terms of ad creators.
- 1:16:19And you seem to have a good sense of,
- 1:16:22you know, the visual cues
- 1:16:23that signal DR intent to meta,
- 1:16:25which I think is a big part of it.
- 1:16:26What are some of those that you've,
- 1:16:28and you can even talk about
- 1:16:29the ones you've integrated
- 1:16:30for Holo, right?
- 1:16:31Because obviously it's six out.
- 1:16:34Static has been
- 1:16:34working in Holo's account,
- 1:16:36which Zach will speak to.
- 1:16:37Yeah, so like the way
- 1:16:38I'd say we stand out
- 1:16:40and also the way you can stand out
- 1:16:42is to be very creative with your stuff.
- 1:16:44But like, if you do like everybody else,
- 1:16:46you go into Foreplay
- 1:16:48or Atria or whichever,
- 1:16:49you know, iLibrary tool you're using
- 1:16:51and you try and fit your
- 1:16:53brand into an existing concept
- 1:16:54and that's all you do,
- 1:16:55you're probably going to struggle.
- 1:16:57You kind of need to get
- 1:16:58your head out of those
- 1:17:00inspiration library from time to time.
- 1:17:02Look at organic things
- 1:17:03like go to Pinterest,
- 1:17:05try and find very creative ideas
- 1:17:09and try and think differently.
- 1:17:11I think that's where it
- 1:17:12starts to kind of have,
- 1:17:14to kind of provide meta
- 1:17:15with a different concept
- 1:17:16than what everyone's doing.
- 1:17:18For example, let's say again,
- 1:17:19let's take the coffee substitute brand
- 1:17:21because it's a great
- 1:17:22example, you see it to understand.
- 1:17:23You go to Pinterest and
- 1:17:25you write mushroom, right?
- 1:17:27You just do this.
- 1:17:28You're going to have so
- 1:17:29much creativity in front of you
- 1:17:31to try and take inspiration from.
- 1:17:33You can do illustration stuff,
- 1:17:35very different than what
- 1:17:36the competition is doing.
- 1:17:38No one is doing
- 1:17:38illustrations on meta right now.
- 1:17:40You can also, I don't know,
- 1:17:41place your product in a forest
- 1:17:43and having weird mushrooms
- 1:17:45growing around it, et cetera.
- 1:17:47You can find all
- 1:17:48those inspos on Pinterest.
- 1:17:51And one good way to
- 1:17:52start, and that's what we do,
- 1:17:54but also what the brands
- 1:17:55who are listening to this
- 1:17:56can do on their own,
- 1:17:57which is to really get their
- 1:17:58head out of the inspiration,
- 1:18:01the meta library, pretty much,
- 1:18:02and try and seek new
- 1:18:04ways to seek content.
- 1:18:06And actually,
- 1:18:06Pinterest is a very good one.
- 1:18:08And that's how we were able
- 1:18:10to provide very creative stuff
- 1:18:12for Holo and some other brands as well.
- 1:18:13It really starts there.
- 1:18:14What are you looking for in Pinterest?
- 1:18:17Literally just unique visuals
- 1:18:18that you don't see in
- 1:18:19ad accounts otherwise.
- 1:18:20It's like you're going
- 1:18:21there because you know
- 1:18:21that people on Pinterest
- 1:18:23are not staring at ad accounts
- 1:18:24all day trying to recreate
- 1:18:25and not talk to everybody else.
- 1:18:27So you're looking for a
- 1:18:27unique visual in that, right?
- 1:18:30Is that what you're looking for?
- 1:18:31Exactly.
- 1:18:32You're looking for something unique.
- 1:18:34And it's not because it's on Pinterest
- 1:18:36that it's not going to work.
- 1:18:38What you want is a great visual
- 1:18:39that delivers your message across.
- 1:18:42Then you can performance it, right?
- 1:18:45You can add a direct
- 1:18:47response headline if you want.
- 1:18:48You can add a bunch of product benefits.
- 1:18:50You can slap your offer into it.
- 1:18:52It's not because it's on Pinterest
- 1:18:54that it's not going to work.
- 1:18:55You just have to
- 1:18:56reunite both worlds, right?
- 1:18:59And it's the same.
- 1:19:00It's actually the same for videos.
- 1:19:02I'm not sure if we want to
- 1:19:03switch to videos right now,
- 1:19:04but I do have a great example for it.
- 1:19:06Simon, I think we
- 1:19:07should get into the work
- 1:19:09you guys have been doing for Holo
- 1:19:10and just talk about
- 1:19:11that a little bit more
- 1:19:12because we can
- 1:19:12actually share some numbers
- 1:19:14and talk about what's going
- 1:19:15on and all that good stuff.
- 1:19:17For what it's worth,
- 1:19:18hired static, I think it's
- 1:19:20been like 30 days at this point.
- 1:19:21Is that sound about right?
- 1:19:22Maybe a little bit more.
- 1:19:24We have definitely found some winning
- 1:19:26ads, which is awesome.
- 1:19:27I mean, we have one ad that alone is
- 1:19:28spent like nine grand,
- 1:19:30another one that spent six
- 1:19:31grand, another one at four.
- 1:19:32So I mean, these are individual ads,
- 1:19:34not like all of the ads.
- 1:19:36So we're talking, you know,
- 1:19:37multiple tens of
- 1:19:38thousands of dollars in spend
- 1:19:40from static's work, which is incredible.
- 1:19:42And an incredible ROI,
- 1:19:43especially based on your fee structure
- 1:19:44and kind of how that's been going.
- 1:19:46The metric that we look
- 1:19:47at also just to like shares
- 1:19:49like a North Beam one day clicks.
- 1:19:51Anything above a one for us is like a win
- 1:19:53that usually backs into,
- 1:19:54and we've done a lot of
- 1:19:55analysis to say that this is like
- 1:19:56a two plus NC ROIs if we can get a one
- 1:19:59on North Beam one day clicks.
- 1:20:00I'm looking at a ton of ads
- 1:20:01that you guys have made for us.
- 1:20:02To your point about like
- 1:20:03inspo and just new ideas,
- 1:20:07a lot of them are AI
- 1:20:08based, like you said.
- 1:20:09Oh, even the top ones,
- 1:20:10I think this is where some brands need to
- 1:20:12be a little bit more loose
- 1:20:14with the like on brand shit,
- 1:20:16which is the top ad that you have for us
- 1:20:19is not even our socks.
- 1:20:20It's an AI generated
- 1:20:21version of our compression socks.
- 1:20:23And it looks close.
- 1:20:23It looks like really close.
- 1:20:25It's not exactly it,
- 1:20:26but the actual background
- 1:20:28that it produced behind it
- 1:20:29and just like the aesthetic of it
- 1:20:30and just the way to show
- 1:20:32the product looks great.
- 1:20:34Obviously it's like eye catching
- 1:20:35and then it has like a
- 1:20:35great testimonial on that ad.
- 1:20:37There are a few others that
- 1:20:38have like crazy backgrounds,
- 1:20:40right?
- 1:20:41Dessert backgrounds,
- 1:20:42insane pattern backgrounds.
- 1:20:44Like there's a lot of
- 1:20:45creativity behind these.
- 1:20:46And these are definitely not templates.
- 1:20:48Like you said, that you
- 1:20:49would just go to Atria
- 1:20:51or four player or whatever
- 1:20:52and just rip from somebody else.
- 1:20:54These are like net new concepts.
- 1:20:55I think that's why they're working.
- 1:20:57So, I mean, I think I just
- 1:20:58have to give you kudos for that
- 1:20:59is like you're bringing
- 1:21:00new things to the table
- 1:21:01that aren't just another
- 1:21:02ad with just like four value
- 1:21:04props with arrows that
- 1:21:05every single brand runs, right?
- 1:21:07That everyone tries to copy.
- 1:21:08I mean, you have to
- 1:21:09comment that, you know,
- 1:21:10the French are known
- 1:21:10for innovation in design.
- 1:21:13Simon, you're kind of on brand with this.
- 1:21:15I also assumed that
- 1:21:16you've only had pastries today
- 1:21:18just like being French as well.
- 1:21:21Close to it.
- 1:21:22Yeah.
- 1:21:24The one thing I did want to ask you about
- 1:21:25that I thought was interesting is like,
- 1:21:27so there's some language
- 1:21:28that you guys have used
- 1:21:29in the ads that you've made for us
- 1:21:31that are just brand new ideas, right?
- 1:21:33So we've talked a lot about
- 1:21:34like getting Inspawn the visual.
- 1:21:36I'd love to understand
- 1:21:36how you're getting Inspawn
- 1:21:37like the copy that you're using
- 1:21:38and like the
- 1:21:39headlines and stuff like that.
- 1:21:40So tell us more about how
- 1:21:41you think about the copy.
- 1:21:42Yeah, to be fully honest,
- 1:21:44I'm not sure if we're
- 1:21:45going to be able to run that,
- 1:21:46but you'll let me know.
- 1:21:47You guys run, you guys
- 1:21:48write the copy for us.
- 1:21:50Are you aware of that?
- 1:21:51Sure, I didn't know that.
- 1:21:52No, yeah.
- 1:21:53So yeah, I'm not gonna try
- 1:21:55and bullshit my way into this.
- 1:21:56I mean, it's actually
- 1:21:57not part of our offering
- 1:21:58and we don't write copy for many reasons,
- 1:22:01but I also feel like copy
- 1:22:04actually should be known
- 1:22:05to the brand.
- 1:22:06A few months ago when we started,
- 1:22:08we tried and do copy services as well.
- 1:22:10And I think that's a relevant one.
- 1:22:12The truth is our copy was us.
- 1:22:15Copy is actually very difficult to write.
- 1:22:17And like if you're trying to externalize
- 1:22:20your entire messaging to any agency,
- 1:22:22it's probably not gonna work
- 1:22:23because copy services are, I mean,
- 1:22:25great copy services
- 1:22:26should and are very pricey.
- 1:22:29And in some extent, you
- 1:22:30breathe your brand 24 seven
- 1:22:32and we believe that
- 1:22:34brand should own that.
- 1:22:35And so that's why we
- 1:22:36actually separated both
- 1:22:37and we own creative direction.
- 1:22:40So like we put out great new ideas
- 1:22:42and you guys match us with the
- 1:22:44appropriate copy for that.
- 1:22:46Right, that makes a lot of sense.
- 1:22:48Yeah, I mean, I think
- 1:22:48the one thing that I was
- 1:22:49even mostly trying to get at was then
- 1:22:51just like the creativity
- 1:22:52that comes with the copy, right?
- 1:22:54So like we have some language here.
- 1:22:55It's like torturing your
- 1:22:56feet is just a big headline.
- 1:22:57I've never seen an ad
- 1:22:58that we've done with that.
- 1:22:59But then like the visual
- 1:23:00that you guys came up with
- 1:23:01that was AI generated that
- 1:23:02ties into torturing your feet
- 1:23:04is just super punchy, right?
- 1:23:05It's not a photo that we would just get.
- 1:23:07It's not a photo we
- 1:23:07would get from a customer.
- 1:23:09Like I think that's where the special
- 1:23:10also statics comes in, right?
- 1:23:12Cause like, yeah, okay.
- 1:23:13If we are writing the
- 1:23:14copy, which is news to me,
- 1:23:15I did not know that.
- 1:23:18That you guys have full
- 1:23:19creative freedom though
- 1:23:20to just like let it rip
- 1:23:21with that concept, right?
- 1:23:22So I think that's--
- 1:23:24Exactly.
- 1:23:25How are you?
- 1:23:26So another question I
- 1:23:27have then based on that.
- 1:23:28So for brands that are,
- 1:23:31what are the brands that
- 1:23:32you feel like get the most
- 1:23:34like spend out of your ads?
- 1:23:35Like what are they allowing you to do?
- 1:23:37What are they doing?
- 1:23:38What are you doing uniquely for them
- 1:23:39that are the ones that are getting the
- 1:23:41most volume of spend
- 1:23:42versus some that you're
- 1:23:43like, we tried our best
- 1:23:45but it just didn't work out.
- 1:23:46This episode is brought to you by
- 1:23:48the Foxwell founders membership
- 1:23:50that Andrew and his wife, Gracie run.
- 1:23:52It has been absolutely pivotal for not
- 1:23:54just the Homestead team
- 1:23:55but the Easy Street Brands team.
- 1:23:57We've had, I don't
- 1:23:58even know how many members
- 1:23:59are currently in there that
- 1:24:00are part of our ecosystem.
- 1:24:01But when it comes to
- 1:24:02anything from learning ads
- 1:24:04to understanding what's going on,
- 1:24:05to building an agency,
- 1:24:06to knowing retention,
- 1:24:07it's been absolutely useful for our team
- 1:24:10when they get stuck or they
- 1:24:11need help to just go there
- 1:24:12and resource all the other experts.
- 1:24:14So definitely would recommend it
- 1:24:15for anybody that's looking
- 1:24:16to take it a step deeper,
- 1:24:18try to get a little bit more
- 1:24:19knowledge on growth marketing
- 1:24:21and all the world DTC is.
- 1:24:22Yeah, I think one of the
- 1:24:23most incredible things about it
- 1:24:24is you can just like
- 1:24:25open up the Slack group
- 1:24:26every single day.
- 1:24:27You can pin your favorite channels
- 1:24:28for the topics you care most about.
- 1:24:30And like every day there's gonna be
- 1:24:32somebody who just like,
- 1:24:33because they want to
- 1:24:34contribute something valuable
- 1:24:35to the group, you can go
- 1:24:36learn something every single day
- 1:24:38and it's gonna be extremely useful.
- 1:24:40There's some ballers in there.
- 1:24:41They just get like the
- 1:24:42benefit of learning from that.
- 1:24:43Like for the costs, like
- 1:24:45you couldn't pay them that
- 1:24:46for their time, but
- 1:24:47through the membership,
- 1:24:48like you get access to
- 1:24:49some incredible people
- 1:24:50and tons of resources.
- 1:24:51Yeah, I mean, I think the
- 1:24:52biggest resource to me too
- 1:24:53is like the events that, you know,
- 1:24:55Foxwell Founders does.
- 1:24:56They've been able to do
- 1:24:57some even in Wisconsin,
- 1:24:58even in the boring state of Wisconsin,
- 1:25:00which is pretty awesome.
- 1:25:02Getting people together in person
- 1:25:03and able to have really
- 1:25:04just like honest conversations
- 1:25:05of what's going on,
- 1:25:06what's working for them now,
- 1:25:08you know, where
- 1:25:08they're at in their business
- 1:25:09and knowing that there's
- 1:25:10gonna be, like Brad said,
- 1:25:11some real killers in the
- 1:25:12space in this membership
- 1:25:14that can help and are
- 1:25:15willing to take the time and help.
- 1:25:17So that's been a huge
- 1:25:18part of why a lot of our team
- 1:25:20have really enjoyed it as well.
- 1:25:21And the applications are now open
- 1:25:22if you're looking to
- 1:25:23join, so make sure you--
- 1:25:25Foxwell Founders, yeah,
- 1:25:26foxwellfounders.com.
- 1:25:27Go check it out, go fly.
- 1:25:28What are the brands that
- 1:25:29you feel like get the most
- 1:25:31spend out of your ads?
- 1:25:32Like what are they allowing you to do?
- 1:25:34What are they doing?
- 1:25:35What are you doing uniquely for them
- 1:25:36that are the ones that are getting the
- 1:25:38most volume of spend
- 1:25:39versus some that you're
- 1:25:40like, we tried our best,
- 1:25:42but it just didn't work out?
- 1:25:44I mean, again, the creative stuff.
- 1:25:46Like the ones that are willing to try
- 1:25:48very creative concepts, creative ideas,
- 1:25:51not only layout, you gotta
- 1:25:53think outside of layouts.
- 1:25:55So like you gotta think outside of,
- 1:25:57okay, this is an ugly ad,
- 1:25:58this is a comparative ad.
- 1:25:59This doesn't really matter.
- 1:26:01It's really about the main idea
- 1:26:03that you're trying to deliver.
- 1:26:05And if the brand is fine
- 1:26:06with trying out new ideas,
- 1:26:08new settings, they're
- 1:26:09probably going to perform better
- 1:26:10with us, that's one thing.
- 1:26:12Then, and it's kind of a
- 1:26:14global branding decision,
- 1:26:16but you should probably frame your brand
- 1:26:19as an offer brand.
- 1:26:20Even, I mean, probably
- 1:26:21any brand, any product
- 1:26:23can become an offer,
- 1:26:24actually, that's what I think.
- 1:26:25And your statics are gonna work better
- 1:26:27if you can have an offer behind it.
- 1:26:30If you're just selling a product
- 1:26:32and it doesn't really have an offer,
- 1:26:33it doesn't have to be a
- 1:26:35bobo or a percentage offer,
- 1:26:37subscribe and save, but
- 1:26:38it has to have this twist
- 1:26:40where you're more entitled to buy.
- 1:26:42And your statics are gonna
- 1:26:43work better eventually also.
- 1:26:46So two things, you're
- 1:26:47willing to try creative ideas
- 1:26:49and you're able to frame your brand
- 1:26:51into an offer environment.
- 1:26:53That's probably the two
- 1:26:55answers that I have for this.
- 1:26:56And then your testing
- 1:26:57metrics, your testing metrics.
- 1:26:59Sorry, sorry, for
- 1:27:00example, I think the best way
- 1:27:02to test statics right now and
- 1:27:03to find the most performance
- 1:27:05out of your set of static ads
- 1:27:06is to brief net new concepts.
- 1:27:08So like different stuff, let's say you
- 1:27:10brief five per week,
- 1:27:12five net new concepts, very different.
- 1:27:13And then within each
- 1:27:15concept, you do variations
- 1:27:17of targeting different demographics.
- 1:27:19So you'd have one
- 1:27:20concept, three demographic,
- 1:27:22so three different design variations.
- 1:27:24And then you can also
- 1:27:25have three different
- 1:27:26headline variation, one per variation.
- 1:27:29So you end up with a set that has a lot
- 1:27:32of different concepts, each
- 1:27:33of them has design variations
- 1:27:36and appropriate copy.
- 1:27:37And this is how you can
- 1:27:38really test at scale new agencies,
- 1:27:40but also find winners, work on evergreen
- 1:27:42and keep the ball right.
- 1:27:44And you're putting, just
- 1:27:45to be clear as an answer,
- 1:27:46how do you suggest people test this?
- 1:27:49I mean, a lot of people
- 1:27:50that are coming to you
- 1:27:51are probably spending a decent amount,
- 1:27:52but are you suggesting
- 1:27:53that they just throw it all
- 1:27:54in a new ASC or in
- 1:27:56the existing or, I mean,
- 1:27:58it depends on the buyers, I suppose,
- 1:27:59in the accountant
- 1:27:59situation, maybe you're letting them
- 1:28:01decide that.
- 1:28:02Definitely depends on the buyer.
- 1:28:04I'm an ABO guy, but I
- 1:28:05would run my tests with ABO
- 1:28:10on an ABO setup.
- 1:28:11So like, for example,
- 1:28:12you'd have either you have
- 1:28:15all net new concepts, no variations,
- 1:28:17competing within each
- 1:28:19other in a single ABO ad sets,
- 1:28:21so like three to five net new concepts
- 1:28:23competing within each other.
- 1:28:25That is if you have a logo jet,
- 1:28:27low is different between brands,
- 1:28:28but like if you spend less
- 1:28:29than 100K a per month on meta,
- 1:28:32you're probably better off
- 1:28:33working on bigger swings.
- 1:28:34So like don't spend money and time
- 1:28:36figuring out variations.
- 1:28:37Just spend money and time on getting
- 1:28:39those net new concepts
- 1:28:40and make them compete within each other.
- 1:28:42If you have more money to spend,
- 1:28:44you can probably dilute that ad spend
- 1:28:46across multiple ABOs and try
- 1:28:48and deep dive a little more.
- 1:28:50And if you have more money,
- 1:28:51if you're spending above
- 1:28:52100K per month on meta,
- 1:28:54you can have one ABO per concept
- 1:28:56and that ABO includes all the variations.
- 1:29:00And then you have a third way,
- 1:29:01which is less preferred to me,
- 1:29:03but if your account
- 1:29:04works with an AAC setup,
- 1:29:06you can actually do that,
- 1:29:07is you can use the big
- 1:29:09boy, the big boy setup,
- 1:29:10having a lot of
- 1:29:11variations and put it all in an AAC
- 1:29:14and you know, hope something sticks.
- 1:29:15Okay, that's the third way.
- 1:29:18Personally, I prefer testing ABO
- 1:29:20because I feel like
- 1:29:21it's also a mindset shift.
- 1:29:22Okay, when I test ABO,
- 1:29:24static spends money on ads as well.
- 1:29:26So I know and I test ABO as well.
- 1:29:29When I spend money on an ABO setup,
- 1:29:32it's actually a lot of money, right?
- 1:29:33You're spending a lot of money behind it.
- 1:29:35And so if it doesn't work,
- 1:29:37next time you go into the account,
- 1:29:39you're gonna be more
- 1:29:40thoughtful about your testing.
- 1:29:41You're gonna think twice, right?
- 1:29:43If you put everything
- 1:29:44into an AAC with a low budget
- 1:29:46and if you're a small
- 1:29:47brand and you're starting out
- 1:29:49spending less than 100k per month,
- 1:29:52it may not be so much
- 1:29:53worth it to do this.
- 1:29:55Because if it doesn't work,
- 1:29:56you're not really going
- 1:29:57to know what didn't work
- 1:29:59and it's not gonna be
- 1:30:00a huge loss for you.
- 1:30:01So you'll be like,
- 1:30:02"Meh, that didn't work."
- 1:30:04So that's why I like ABO because it
- 1:30:05forces me to be good.
- 1:30:06It's pretty much that.
- 1:30:07Yeah, I mean, there's
- 1:30:09so many different ways
- 1:30:09to think about it, but I
- 1:30:10generally agree with you.
- 1:30:11I think it's tough.
- 1:30:12I mean, especially if
- 1:30:13you have a lower budget,
- 1:30:14which I think a lot of people live in,
- 1:30:15especially that are
- 1:30:16listening to this podcast, right?
- 1:30:18So a follow up, another question I have,
- 1:30:20you're exposed to a lot
- 1:30:22of creative strategists
- 1:30:23and a lot of creative strategy process
- 1:30:25within different organizations.
- 1:30:26I think that one of the
- 1:30:27things that every brand
- 1:30:28is trying to figure out
- 1:30:29right now is how do we
- 1:30:31make the process?
- 1:30:32So you talked about like,
- 1:30:33here's how you
- 1:30:33develop different personas,
- 1:30:35get inspiration from different places.
- 1:30:37How do you make the process
- 1:30:38of doing creative strategy
- 1:30:40briefing faster and better?
- 1:30:43Because I think there's a
- 1:30:44big hang up in a lot of that,
- 1:30:45that brands don't have,
- 1:30:47the owners are doing it themselves.
- 1:30:48Or they're, you know what I mean?
- 1:30:49They're trying to find a
- 1:30:50CS that they're doing this
- 1:30:51or the agency is doing it.
- 1:30:53And the agencies do varying jobs,
- 1:30:55like jobs of varying
- 1:30:56degrees of good jobs of this.
- 1:30:58And so I'm just curious,
- 1:30:59you're exposed to a lot.
- 1:31:01What are those that are
- 1:31:01doing it really successfully?
- 1:31:02What are they doing?
- 1:31:03And let's just focus
- 1:31:04on the ones that aren't
- 1:31:05the biggest brands in the world,
- 1:31:06because clearly like
- 1:31:07the ridges and everybody,
- 1:31:08they're gonna have like 10 CS people.
- 1:31:10100%.
- 1:31:11Actually, so maybe controversial,
- 1:31:13but like if you are
- 1:31:14under eight figures a year,
- 1:31:16the founder should
- 1:31:17probably lead all that.
- 1:31:19Like the founder is
- 1:31:20probably the best person
- 1:31:21to know about the creative strategy.
- 1:31:23And it's probably also the
- 1:31:24biggest lever for the business.
- 1:31:25If that person can unlock
- 1:31:27that next stage of growth,
- 1:31:28it's going to change everything.
- 1:31:30And it's been talked here,
- 1:31:32it's been talked everywhere.
- 1:31:33One ad can change your
- 1:31:35business and life, a single ad.
- 1:31:37So like you're
- 1:31:38probably better off working
- 1:31:39on this yourself, honestly.
- 1:31:40If you try and hire yourself out of this,
- 1:31:43at this stage, sorry,
- 1:31:45you're not gonna have the money
- 1:31:46to hire the best, probably.
- 1:31:48Or the best, they won't work with you,
- 1:31:50because maybe they work on
- 1:31:51a percentage of ad spend.
- 1:31:53And if you spend less
- 1:31:54than 100K per month,
- 1:31:55they may not look at you
- 1:31:57like an interesting class.
- 1:31:58That's the truth, right?
- 1:31:59So what I think is if you're
- 1:32:01under eight figures revenue,
- 1:32:02you should probably
- 1:32:03figure it out yourself.
- 1:32:05Like as a founder,
- 1:32:06you built this product,
- 1:32:07you know why it works.
- 1:32:09You should probably work on it.
- 1:32:11A great example of that.
- 1:32:13Let's say you wanna
- 1:32:14make a bunch of videos.
- 1:32:15But by the way, founder-led
- 1:32:16videos are crushing right now.
- 1:32:18They are doing amazing across the gals.
- 1:32:21I saw this guy, Zach from
- 1:32:22Hollow, I saw an ad from them.
- 1:32:24It was like really, it was cool.
- 1:32:26It was really interesting.
- 1:32:27So yes, but yes, founder-led videos
- 1:32:28are actually super helpful for sure.
- 1:32:30Yeah, so my answer is you should probably
- 1:32:32do it yourself.
- 1:32:33And yeah, stop thinking about the brand
- 1:32:36and the message you wanna put across.
- 1:32:37And I actually have a
- 1:32:38great example for this.
- 1:32:39I think Andrew, you're
- 1:32:40into golfing, aren't you?
- 1:32:42Probably.
- 1:32:43I'm terrible.
- 1:32:43I'm not good at it.
- 1:32:45No, okay.
- 1:32:45You're not good at it.
- 1:32:47No, but I mean I know about it.
- 1:32:49I'm terrible as well.
- 1:32:49Yeah, I'm terrible as well.
- 1:32:51But I've seen golf courses.
- 1:32:53Let's say you have a golfing brand.
- 1:32:57Like you said Gears or whatever.
- 1:32:59All right.
- 1:33:00Love it.
- 1:33:00And you're like, you wanna try and find
- 1:33:02a new video concept.
- 1:33:03The way you shouldn't go about it
- 1:33:06is open an ad library and try and find
- 1:33:08a good concept.
- 1:33:10That's not the way.
- 1:33:11You should probably think about, okay,
- 1:33:14where does the
- 1:33:14conversation happen for my audience?
- 1:33:17Is it on the green?
- 1:33:18Maybe.
- 1:33:19Maybe it's a great idea.
- 1:33:20You could start with that.
- 1:33:21But maybe you can also
- 1:33:23find some better stuff.
- 1:33:25Maybe great conversation about golfing
- 1:33:28happen at the Glove House restaurant.
- 1:33:30At the restaurant,
- 1:33:31they're all sitting together
- 1:33:32after golfing and they
- 1:33:33have an hour long conversation
- 1:33:34about golf.
- 1:33:35Can I recreate that setting?
- 1:33:37Can I do it myself?
- 1:33:38Can I put a bunch of people
- 1:33:40talking about golf together
- 1:33:41in a restaurant, giving
- 1:33:42them mics, recording that
- 1:33:44and have an hour long of raw content
- 1:33:46about my golfing brand?
- 1:33:47That's the kind of ideas
- 1:33:48probably only a founder can find
- 1:33:51because if they hire an agency for that,
- 1:33:53they will never have the budget for it.
- 1:33:55But they can probably find
- 1:33:56a way to be scrappy about it
- 1:33:58and deliver themselves.
- 1:34:00So that's kind of the way to go.
- 1:34:02Don't try and find the
- 1:34:03concept to fit to your brand
- 1:34:04messaging, but think about your brand.
- 1:34:06Where does the conversation happen?
- 1:34:08And then create concept around that.
- 1:34:10And the more organic it looks and feels,
- 1:34:12obviously, the better it's going to go.
- 1:34:14And then you can spin up B-rolls on top
- 1:34:18of that conversation
- 1:34:19and introduce your
- 1:34:20products and show it in action
- 1:34:22and have a bunch of
- 1:34:23weird video footage going on
- 1:34:26and create an action ad.
- 1:34:27And that could rip or not.
- 1:34:29And then you move to the next thing.
- 1:34:30So what's your core creative stack
- 1:34:32that you guys are using, right?
- 1:34:34Figma, Adobe, and where
- 1:34:36do people lose efficiency
- 1:34:37and the file handoffs
- 1:34:39and all this kind of stuff?
- 1:34:40I think working with a partner.
- 1:34:41Yeah.
- 1:34:42So our stack is mainly Adobe
- 1:34:46and Figma for putting things
- 1:34:48together.
- 1:34:49Adobe is for product composition,
- 1:34:51so mixing backgrounds and
- 1:34:52product making sure it's beautiful
- 1:34:54and it's well-lit and
- 1:34:55it's well-integrated.
- 1:34:56And Figma is for displaying copy and
- 1:34:58receiving client feedback.
- 1:35:00So like, feedback is for
- 1:35:01scaling copy and assets.
- 1:35:03And Adobe is for core design production.
- 1:35:06One thing about this, you're
- 1:35:08better off having everything
- 1:35:09in one place.
- 1:35:10And we use Adobe a lot,
- 1:35:11and especially Adobe Firefly.
- 1:35:13They are AI-generated,
- 1:35:14creative tool built in.
- 1:35:17And it's great.
- 1:35:18And it's really good.
- 1:35:19Same thing for assets libraries.
- 1:35:21We use Freepeak.
- 1:35:22We use Envato.
- 1:35:24Freepeak AI is actually amazing.
- 1:35:25No one is talking about it.
- 1:35:27I feel like in our industry, everyone
- 1:35:28is chasing the next thing when it comes
- 1:35:30to tools and whatnot.
- 1:35:32But the old players are
- 1:35:33doing very good at this.
- 1:35:34And so we try and
- 1:35:35limit the number of tools
- 1:35:38we use to make sure we stay efficient.
- 1:35:40I'm actually messing around a lot.
- 1:35:42I've been messing
- 1:35:42around with Jiminy this week.
- 1:35:45And it's amazing.
- 1:35:46You can create some really cool stuff.
- 1:35:48And we do use it for hooks, for example,
- 1:35:50for hook generations.
- 1:35:52It's great, but it's very slow.
- 1:35:54And it definitely slows you down.
- 1:35:56So you really need to find that balance
- 1:35:57between speeds and new.
- 1:36:00And I try to find the right balance.
- 1:36:02Adobe Enigma is the perfect setup.
- 1:36:05And then you can add
- 1:36:05some tools on the sites.
- 1:36:08So let's switch over
- 1:36:09to talking about video.
- 1:36:10And let's talk about what you're seeing.
- 1:36:13Obviously, you've been getting into this.
- 1:36:14I mean, a company's name's Static,
- 1:36:15so I don't know what
- 1:36:16you're going to read.
- 1:36:17But your static's in motion or something?
- 1:36:22I don't know.
- 1:36:22Just brainstorming here.
- 1:36:24But I think there's--
- 1:36:25I'd be curious about the
- 1:36:26systems, the production
- 1:36:28techniques, the hook
- 1:36:28frameworks that you utilize to scale
- 1:36:30and not just look
- 1:36:32good, utilizing the video
- 1:36:33what you guys are doing
- 1:36:34that's really killing it.
- 1:36:35Yeah, before you answer that, why video?
- 1:36:37I mean, you kind of
- 1:36:38alluded to it earlier.
- 1:36:39Statics are great for
- 1:36:40testing and getting some insight.
- 1:36:42But ultimately, it's probably the scale.
- 1:36:44So I guess what led to
- 1:36:45that before you do that?
- 1:36:47Sorry, Andrew.
- 1:36:47Cut you off.
- 1:36:48Yeah, so the thought process behind this
- 1:36:51was, I guess, an average client at Static
- 1:36:53probably spends 30%,
- 1:36:5540% max on their ad spend on static ads.
- 1:36:58And I love static ads for all the reasons
- 1:37:00that we stated before--
- 1:37:02super cheap, cheap clicks, ability
- 1:37:04to iterate, some decent performance,
- 1:37:06et cetera, et cetera.
- 1:37:07But to achieve true scale, you probably
- 1:37:10need some video formats
- 1:37:11as well in the metrics.
- 1:37:13So for us, it was the
- 1:37:14natural next step into the process.
- 1:37:18And we were able to
- 1:37:19find a nice offer that
- 1:37:21is very similar to
- 1:37:22Static in which we still
- 1:37:24have some kind of inputs in footage
- 1:37:26selection, for example.
- 1:37:27But we still give brands the
- 1:37:29ability to direct the scene,
- 1:37:32if I may.
- 1:37:33They still preference in some capacities.
- 1:37:36For example, if they want to use a
- 1:37:37certain type of talking head
- 1:37:39or a roll, they can still do it.
- 1:37:41And they can still tell us about it.
- 1:37:43But we still have an input
- 1:37:44on the B roll side of things
- 1:37:46and footage selection, which is, I think,
- 1:37:48the great compromise between the brands
- 1:37:50seek net new raw content.
- 1:37:52They create a huge library of content.
- 1:37:55They upload that into
- 1:37:55their video library.
- 1:37:57They keep on seeking new reels.
- 1:37:59And on our end, we scale that production.
- 1:38:02And so you have a kind of a party setup,
- 1:38:04which works really well.
- 1:38:06Yeah, I'm thinking about an example,
- 1:38:07literally, right now,
- 1:38:07where we've had footage for
- 1:38:09a client for probably months.
- 1:38:11I know because I
- 1:38:12actually filmed part of it
- 1:38:13because I happen to have the product.
- 1:38:15And we just added a
- 1:38:16couple of headlines to it.
- 1:38:17And all of a sudden, it's ripping.
- 1:38:18And we, like, months
- 1:38:18ago did nothing as is.
- 1:38:20And I feel like a lot of
- 1:38:21brands build this insane library
- 1:38:23and just don't do a
- 1:38:23great job of continuing
- 1:38:25to go through it, which
- 1:38:26is one of the core things
- 1:38:27that we do.
- 1:38:27It sounds like what
- 1:38:28you guys do is just like,
- 1:38:29how can we repurpose
- 1:38:30this a million times over?
- 1:38:33I think the trap that you can fall into
- 1:38:34with doing that, though,
- 1:38:35is you just make
- 1:38:35these mini iterations that
- 1:38:37aren't actually meaningful.
- 1:38:38And I know I'm really diverting away from
- 1:38:40Andrew's original question.
- 1:38:41So I'm sorry.
- 1:38:42Is there one when you think about
- 1:38:44iterations specifically
- 1:38:46for video content?
- 1:38:47Are you pushing brands to say, cool,
- 1:38:50you've got all this footage.
- 1:38:51But we shouldn't just
- 1:38:52be changing the headline.
- 1:38:53We need to be thinking about, here's
- 1:38:55the visual hook that's
- 1:38:56currently working on this video.
- 1:38:57And I'm kind of alluding to
- 1:38:59the framework that we use,
- 1:39:00where it's like, the average person
- 1:39:01that's actually watched this,
- 1:39:03there's only 25% of people
- 1:39:04that have stopped and watched
- 1:39:05this in the first three seconds.
- 1:39:06So we changed the visual hook in a very
- 1:39:08meaningful way that's
- 1:39:08still relevant for the rest of the video.
- 1:39:10That gives us a whole
- 1:39:11basically net new ad.
- 1:39:12Like, how are you
- 1:39:13coaching people through what
- 1:39:15to focus on when
- 1:39:15iterating on videos, if at all?
- 1:39:17Yeah.
- 1:39:18So the way we're
- 1:39:19coaching them is brands--
- 1:39:21so they work in cycles as well, just like
- 1:39:23prosthetics, actually.
- 1:39:24They should be seeking
- 1:39:25intentionally new B-rolls
- 1:39:28all the time.
- 1:39:29OK?
- 1:39:29It's actually-- you have to breathe
- 1:39:31B-rolls intentionally,
- 1:39:33just to make sure everyone--
- 1:39:34we're on the same page here--
- 1:39:36a B-roll is a supporting footage.
- 1:39:38That means it's
- 1:39:39usually not someone talking,
- 1:39:40but it's a product in use
- 1:39:42or something weird happening
- 1:39:43with your product.
- 1:39:44Like, again, if
- 1:39:46you're in the coffee space,
- 1:39:47you can just take a white
- 1:39:49T-shirt and spill coffee
- 1:39:50all over it.
- 1:39:51You can check a Monster Energy.
- 1:39:53You can be very
- 1:39:54creative with those B-rolls.
- 1:39:55And if you are
- 1:39:56intentionally briefing them,
- 1:39:57you can create a huge library of them.
- 1:39:59Because they are actually very cheap
- 1:40:00to get from the creators,
- 1:40:01you can also do them yourself--
- 1:40:03a lot of them.
- 1:40:04Right?
- 1:40:05And so you do a bit
- 1:40:06every month, and you already
- 1:40:07have a lot to work with.
- 1:40:08And you create new angles out of them.
- 1:40:11So I don't know.
- 1:40:12I'm taking my coffee,
- 1:40:13and I'm drinking it,
- 1:40:14and I'm making a weird
- 1:40:15grimace space of like,
- 1:40:16because it's beer, and it's not good.
- 1:40:19And then it gives you
- 1:40:20the jitters, the coffee,
- 1:40:21so you check the Monster Energy,
- 1:40:24and then you're traveling.
- 1:40:26You can be very creative with that,
- 1:40:28and it's very cheap to do.
- 1:40:29And you have to be intentional with them.
- 1:40:31So I'm like, hey, guys, please
- 1:40:34brief new B-rolls every month
- 1:40:36and do this consistently.
- 1:40:39And then you have the
- 1:40:40A-roll talking heads,
- 1:40:42which is much harder to get, and it's
- 1:40:44also more expensive.
- 1:40:45So how do you think about it?
- 1:40:46You should be-- again, if
- 1:40:48we take the thought process
- 1:40:50that I introduced before
- 1:40:51with the golfing example,
- 1:40:53if you think about your
- 1:40:54brand and you're like, OK,
- 1:40:55where does the conversation happen,
- 1:40:57and you uncover a bunch of settings,
- 1:40:59a bunch of situations, then
- 1:41:01you have to think about, OK,
- 1:41:03can I do this myself?
- 1:41:04OK, yes, I can do it myself, so I can get
- 1:41:06some A-roll going on.
- 1:41:08Can a creator do it?
- 1:41:10Yeah, OK, they can do it, so
- 1:41:11I'm going to hire some creators.
- 1:41:12And then should I
- 1:41:13hire an agency for that?
- 1:41:15So for example, if you think the
- 1:41:16conversation happened
- 1:41:17in the street, and you
- 1:41:18want to have street interviews
- 1:41:20footage, chances are you
- 1:41:21cannot really make that happen
- 1:41:22with a creator.
- 1:41:23Chances are you're not
- 1:41:25going to go there yourself, OK?
- 1:41:26So probably you're better
- 1:41:27off hiring an agency for that.
- 1:41:29So yeah, you should think
- 1:41:31about A-roll content in cycles.
- 1:41:34So probably every two or three months,
- 1:41:36you get an increase of new A-roll content
- 1:41:39of people talking, OK?
- 1:41:41And then every month,
- 1:41:42you get new results.
- 1:41:44And if you do that
- 1:41:44consistently, every quarter,
- 1:41:46you're going to have new content to make.
- 1:41:48And you don't even need to think about
- 1:41:50what's my next angle,
- 1:41:52because it's going to be there anyway.
- 1:41:53You're going to have so much content,
- 1:41:54it's going to be there.
- 1:41:56And the tools out there right now, the
- 1:41:58video library tools,
- 1:41:59they allow you to tag
- 1:42:01automatically the content too.
- 1:42:03So you can just open the library,
- 1:42:05you can hire someone for
- 1:42:06it, or you can do it yourself.
- 1:42:08But you can open the
- 1:42:09library, put some clips together,
- 1:42:11use AI for hooks, and keep
- 1:42:13on spinning new video ads
- 1:42:14all the time.
- 1:42:14And you're actually making big swings.
- 1:42:16It's not because you go
- 1:42:19only B-rolls and AI voice
- 1:42:21solver that it cannot work.
- 1:42:23It can actually work very, very well.
- 1:42:26I've seen six figures
- 1:42:27ad spend on AI voice
- 1:42:29solver, simple script, and a bunch of
- 1:42:31B-rolls on the back end.
- 1:42:32And this is life changing
- 1:42:34for a brand, life changing.
- 1:42:35And everybody can do this very easily
- 1:42:38with a bunch of B-rolls.
- 1:42:39So yeah, the answer is be
- 1:42:41consistent and intentional
- 1:42:43with how you brief B-rolls.
- 1:42:44And then think about the messaging
- 1:42:46that you want to put across, and try and
- 1:42:48get new role talking
- 1:42:49head content every month.
- 1:42:51And then you'll be good to go.
- 1:42:52Yeah, I mean, I think a
- 1:42:53big theme of this podcast
- 1:42:54is really from you is what
- 1:42:56you've seen in terms of--
- 1:42:57obviously, you have a visibility into
- 1:42:58massive ton of accounts.
- 1:42:59And what's working for
- 1:43:00them, they're telling you,
- 1:43:01you're guiding a lot of
- 1:43:02this process, obviously,
- 1:43:03for them in building their ads.
- 1:43:05And a lot of it is utilize
- 1:43:07the creation of a lot of B-roll,
- 1:43:09and have that, and have also
- 1:43:10the same thing with statics.
- 1:43:12Like have more, and
- 1:43:13think outside the box.
- 1:43:14And you can be the one in charge of that.
- 1:43:16You don't necessarily have to
- 1:43:17do these incredibly polished
- 1:43:18pieces, which is good.
- 1:43:21I think another thing
- 1:43:22you talked about with video
- 1:43:23is hire agencies to get
- 1:43:24the specific content, street
- 1:43:25interviews, organic style, podcast style.
- 1:43:28Don't purchase finished ads only with
- 1:43:32agencies or creators.
- 1:43:33Make sure it includes--
- 1:43:33100%.
- 1:43:34100%.
- 1:43:35Close celebrity author
- 1:43:37figures into whitelisting deals.
- 1:43:39Seek tons of hooks.
- 1:43:41And then your video
- 1:43:42production process, video library
- 1:43:44of A and B-rolls, plus
- 1:43:46script, plus AI fit, voiceover,
- 1:43:49plus editor and static.
- 1:43:50The last one is the one I want to ask
- 1:43:51about, which is Batpiece.
- 1:43:54So they have A and B-roll
- 1:43:55stuff, the script generally,
- 1:43:58and then you guys are
- 1:43:58putting it together.
- 1:43:59That's really the magic.
- 1:44:00Or like, how does that
- 1:44:01process work to make something
- 1:44:03really great for folks?
- 1:44:04Yeah, we're putting it together.
- 1:44:06Once we have
- 1:44:06everything, we pretty much have--
- 1:44:08we have video editors who
- 1:44:09are kind of strategist as well.
- 1:44:11They wouldn't write copy.
- 1:44:12They wouldn't write the script, but they
- 1:44:13can understand what performs, how to
- 1:44:16transition clips properly,
- 1:44:17and where should clips go, which is--
- 1:44:21it's like basic, but
- 1:44:22it's how you put together
- 1:44:24and how that performs.
- 1:44:25OK?
- 1:44:26So yeah, that's pretty much it.
- 1:44:29It's really about seeking
- 1:44:30the content, being intentional,
- 1:44:32and then either you brief
- 1:44:34it specifically to an editor
- 1:44:36that you hire in the house
- 1:44:38or you hire someone like us
- 1:44:40to do the job for you.
- 1:44:41It's pretty much about that.
- 1:44:43And when it comes to authority figures,
- 1:44:45you guys have been talking about
- 1:44:46whitelisting already
- 1:44:47quite a lot, but I feel
- 1:44:49like authority figures
- 1:44:50are a different kind of edits, usually.
- 1:44:53It's more organic.
- 1:44:54It looks more organic, at least.
- 1:44:56And you probably need to
- 1:44:57be less heavy on the editing
- 1:44:59when it comes to whitelisting.
- 1:45:01OK?
- 1:45:01So you'd probably give more freedom
- 1:45:03to the authority figure
- 1:45:05that's working for you.
- 1:45:07You'd probably give them more freedom,
- 1:45:08because they know their audience.
- 1:45:09So yes, it's going unpaid,
- 1:45:11but it's a different kind
- 1:45:13of video editing setting.
- 1:45:14It's a different thing.
- 1:45:16One thing I'll say is I
- 1:45:17think we should transition
- 1:45:18into the final episode of
- 1:45:19the-- or the final segment
- 1:45:20of the podcast, which we
- 1:45:22always get into, which is beefs.
- 1:45:23And we all have
- 1:45:24different opinions about this.
- 1:45:26I want to ask Zach a question as it
- 1:45:27relates to the working with you guys.
- 1:45:30Zach, obviously, you have your own
- 1:45:31internal creative teams.
- 1:45:33Then you have a team like
- 1:45:34Static coming in and doing stuff.
- 1:45:37What are the beefs that you
- 1:45:38have in terms of what others have
- 1:45:40done and how they produce
- 1:45:41creative and make it great,
- 1:45:43versus what Static has done and what the
- 1:45:44difference is there?
- 1:45:46I think it mostly comes
- 1:45:47down to just creativity
- 1:45:48and new ideas, right?
- 1:45:49So it's just hiring an agency to just
- 1:45:52repeat the same playbook
- 1:45:53over and over again.
- 1:45:54And maybe we've kind of
- 1:45:54talked about this as just--
- 1:45:55there's no point, right?
- 1:45:56I mean, you've kind of buried a concept.
- 1:45:59Like, if we have--
- 1:46:00we had one concept
- 1:46:01that would always work.
- 1:46:02We hired a few
- 1:46:02creative agencies early on,
- 1:46:03and they would just take that concept
- 1:46:05and iterate on just that one
- 1:46:06and apply it to other things.
- 1:46:08And it didn't move the needle, right?
- 1:46:10So I think the one thing that
- 1:46:11Static's done is they take--
- 1:46:13they take bigger swings on the visual,
- 1:46:16on the just overall
- 1:46:17aesthetic of these ads,
- 1:46:18and don't just take
- 1:46:19templates and rerun it.
- 1:46:20So my beef usually comes
- 1:46:21down to just almost laziness
- 1:46:23and trying to templatize creative, right?
- 1:46:26I think that that's where some of these--
- 1:46:28there's other things out there where you
- 1:46:29can buy 50 templates
- 1:46:30and just run those for your brand.
- 1:46:32It's less about the
- 1:46:33template, as Simon has said.
- 1:46:34Historically, I agree
- 1:46:35with him entirely there.
- 1:46:35And it's more about the
- 1:46:36concept and the creativity
- 1:46:37that goes in that's going
- 1:46:38to actually get the attention
- 1:46:39of someone while they're scrolling.
- 1:46:41That's my perspective on it.
- 1:46:42Yeah, I mean, I think, Simon, my beef
- 1:46:44that I hear a lot in
- 1:46:46creative strategy discussions
- 1:46:47is, well, I wanted to create new stuff,
- 1:46:48and so I went to the ad library to look
- 1:46:50at what my competitors were doing.
- 1:46:52And you've obviously talked about that.
- 1:46:53And that's not necessarily a
- 1:46:54bad thing to get a baseline,
- 1:46:55but it's also like you're
- 1:46:57building off of others' ideas,
- 1:46:58and you're not
- 1:46:59necessarily thinking creatively
- 1:47:00on your own, which I think
- 1:47:01has been a big theme of what
- 1:47:02you guys do, which is really special.
- 1:47:04And it's clearly
- 1:47:04something that sets you apart.
- 1:47:06My beef is like the original.
- 1:47:10That's an important point,
- 1:47:11because if you think about how
- 1:47:13people interact with ads,
- 1:47:15like if I go to Hollow's website
- 1:47:16right now, my feed and my store
- 1:47:18replacements and my reels
- 1:47:19for the next seven days are
- 1:47:21going to be socks competitors.
- 1:47:23And if your ads look the
- 1:47:24exact same because you stole
- 1:47:25from each other, it's
- 1:47:26probably not going to do anything.
- 1:47:27Like, it's really hard to break through
- 1:47:30when I see the comparison
- 1:47:32ad, but the exact same visual
- 1:47:33side by side.
- 1:47:34So yeah, that's a point
- 1:47:36worth thinking deeply about.
- 1:47:38Yeah, 100%.
- 1:47:39Awesome.
- 1:47:40Well, Simon, I'm so
- 1:47:41glad to have you, man.
- 1:47:43Thank you for being here.
- 1:47:44And I do want to say, as a, you know,
- 1:47:46just a transparent nature,
- 1:47:47Static and Simon has
- 1:47:48sponsored this episode.
- 1:47:49However, we only take
- 1:47:50sponsors from those places
- 1:47:52and vendors and people that
- 1:47:53we work with who drive results
- 1:47:55across brands that we've seen.
- 1:47:57I've seen it personally
- 1:47:57in Foxxl Founder Members.
- 1:47:59Simon doing great work and
- 1:48:00his team doing great work
- 1:48:01at Static, obviously
- 1:48:02Zach seeing it with Hollow.
- 1:48:04Brad is cheap, so he
- 1:48:04doesn't have any money.
- 1:48:06I've referred, I know,
- 1:48:07I've referred people.
- 1:48:07I've now referred people.
- 1:48:08He's actually, yeah, that's true.
- 1:48:10He's a big referral guy.
- 1:48:12Big referral guy.
- 1:48:13Have to get back to you on that.
- 1:48:14Yeah, the reality is that Brad is smarter
- 1:48:16than Zach and I both.
- 1:48:18So that just, I mean, we're
- 1:48:19at the end of the podcast,
- 1:48:20but that's the truth.
- 1:48:22So if you, you know, we
- 1:48:23just want to be transparent
- 1:48:23about that, but you know,
- 1:48:24we stand behind the work
- 1:48:26that you guys are doing and obviously,
- 1:48:28we appreciate the partnership.
- 1:48:30And yeah, if you have
- 1:48:31questions on any of this,
- 1:48:33you can obviously hit
- 1:48:34Simon on X is a good place.
- 1:48:36You can also reach out to
- 1:48:37Andrew at Foxxldigital.com.
- 1:48:38I'm happy to connect you with Simon.
- 1:48:40And I'm sure there's
- 1:48:41some sort of special deal
- 1:48:43for podcast listeners that
- 1:48:44they'll cook up for you guys.
- 1:48:46100%.
- 1:48:47So I appreciate it, Simon,
- 1:48:48and thanks for being here, guys.
- 1:48:50Thank you guys for having me.
- 1:48:52Hope you enjoyed it
- 1:48:53and you had value from it
- 1:48:55and I'm happy to answer
- 1:48:56any questions you guys have.
- 1:48:57(upbeat music)
- 1:49:04The only way that we grow this podcast
- 1:49:06is by you sharing it with your friends.
- 1:49:08Honestly, like reviews kind of don't
- 1:49:10really mean anything
- 1:49:10too much anymore.
- 1:49:11They're really
- 1:49:11meaningful, but they don't do a lot
- 1:49:13for the growth of the podcast.
- 1:49:15And so sharing YouTube
- 1:49:16links, sharing Spotify links,
- 1:49:18sharing Apple, whatever we call it under
- 1:49:21the podcast app now,
- 1:49:22anything you can share,
- 1:49:24the better we're going to be.
- 1:49:26Guys, anything else
- 1:49:27you want to say on this?
- 1:49:28Yeah, please go check us out on YouTube,
- 1:49:30rack up those views for us.
- 1:49:31We'd love to see it.
- 1:49:32And then subscribe.
- 1:49:33Make sure to
- 1:49:33subscribe on YouTube as well.
- 1:49:34And I relentlessly
- 1:49:35refresh the YouTube comments
- 1:49:37because it dictates my
- 1:49:37mental health for the day.
- 1:49:38So please say
- 1:49:39something nice about all of us.
- 1:49:41Thank you everyone.
- 1:49:42Thanks everybody.
- 1:49:43Thank you for listening, honestly.
