- 0:56Speaker 4: Welcome at OTV. Here on this Wednesday morning, Jake Flynn,
- 1:02Speaker 4: Alondra Tate, Wolfpack all here with you.
- 1:05Speaker 5: I love this song.
- 1:07Speaker 3: You ever hear, like, a song that just makes you
- 1:09Speaker 3: want to go learn piano?
- 1:11Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:11Speaker 3: Yeah, I want to do this.
- 1:12Speaker 5: I mean, it's, like, one note, I feel like.
- 1:15Speaker 3: I mean, I could learn this one. I could learn
- 1:16Speaker 3: this one in a day.
- 1:18Speaker 7: Didn't you say you were a pianist?
- 1:20Speaker 3: I was a pianist for a couple years, actually.
- 1:22Speaker 7: Not a big deal. Wait a minute.
- 1:23Speaker 6: You were a pianist and a cellist?
- 1:25Speaker 7: Cellist.
- 1:26Speaker 8: Cellist?
- 1:28Speaker 6: My apologies.
- 1:29Speaker 7: Have some class, Taylor.
- 1:32Speaker 6: Wow. I'm sorry that I misidentified you, Matt.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Yeah. You....
- 1:39Speaker 3: Tell us that you hand wash your car without telling
- 1:41Speaker 3: us you hand wash your car, bud.
- 1:45Speaker 5: Tell me you got a push mower without telling me.
- 1:47Speaker 3: Dude. I do.
- 1:50Speaker 7: I do. I do both those things. Yes.
- 1:55Speaker 3: Yes, I do.
- 1:56Speaker 6: You're just telling me things that I do.
- 1:58Speaker 3: The last time it was, what was the TV show
- 2:02Speaker 3: about the guys taking over the multimedia, the kids fighting over?
- 2:07Speaker 7: Succession.
- 2:07Speaker 3: Succession.
- 2:08Speaker 7: The credits, the succession, like the intro, that made me
- 2:12Speaker 7: want to go.
- 2:12Speaker 3: And so I did.
- 2:13Speaker 2: I went and learned that.
- 2:14Speaker 3: Not a big deal.
- 2:15Speaker 7: No, you didn't. Oh, I did.
- 2:17Speaker 6: Did you learn like that exact intro?
- 2:19Speaker 3: Yeah, I looked at a video. Just learned it. Then
- 2:21Speaker 3: I practiced it.
- 2:23Speaker 7: Do I remember it? No.
- 2:25Speaker 3: But at the time, I could do it.
- 2:29Speaker 7: Not a big deal.
- 2:30Speaker 9: It's not.
- 2:31Speaker 7: It's multi-talented. I just don't believe you.
- 2:36Speaker 3: You don't believe me.
- 2:37Speaker 7: I really don't. I believe you, but why? Why not?
- 2:42Speaker 3: What else am I going to do? That was before
- 2:45Speaker 3: I got into car breaks. I had a lot of
- 2:48Speaker 3: time on my hands at that time.
- 2:49Speaker 7: Before car breaks, before doing this every day?
- 2:52Speaker 3: Yeah, before doing this every day.
- 2:56Speaker 7: God, life was so simple.
- 2:59Speaker 5: Succession was a great show.
- 3:01Speaker 7: I'll say anything. You're simple.
- 3:08Speaker 3: What's Ben Stiller's character in Tropic Thunder?
- 3:16Speaker 6: Oh, Simple Jack.
- 3:18Speaker 5: You're Simple Matt.
- 3:19Speaker 7: I don't think they can make that movie.
- 3:21Speaker 3: They can't make that movie.
- 3:22Speaker 5: That movie would not make it to the theaters.
- 3:25Speaker 6: They capture him at the end of the movie and
- 3:27Speaker 6: they all love Simple Jack. They make him dress up again.
- 3:33Speaker 3: We can't even quote it. We can't even quote the
- 3:35Speaker 3: movie now. They certainly can't make the movie. We can't
- 3:38Speaker 3: quote it.
- 3:39Speaker 7: That's fair.
- 3:40Speaker 3: Holy cow. But if you know, you know. And you're
- 3:42Speaker 3: laughing right now. What a good start. Good morning.
- 3:49Speaker 7: Hey. How we doing?
- 3:51Speaker 3: Doing great.
- 3:52Speaker 7: Very orangey in the studio today.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Orange. Orange.
- 3:56Speaker 7: Yep. Looks good, though. You look very handsome today. Oh,
- 3:59Speaker 7: thank you. You too.
- 4:01Speaker 4: It's not your face. No, it's definitely not yours either.
- 4:04Speaker 4: It's like right under your face and right above your face.
- 4:08Speaker 7: Huh.
- 4:09Speaker 3: Not a big deal.
- 4:09Speaker 7: Maybe it's these shirts we're wearing. Could be the poncho shirts.
- 4:13Speaker 3: God, I look good today for sure.
- 4:16Speaker 7: Well, somebody tell this man he looks good so he
- 4:17Speaker 7: doesn't have to compliment himself.
- 4:18Speaker 6: You look great. I was thinking that earlier. I didn't
- 4:21Speaker 6: want to say it because it was just me.
- 4:22Speaker 2: Oh, man, you look great.
- 4:24Speaker 7: I look great.
- 4:25Speaker 3: Wow. Enough about you. Let's talk about me.
- 4:29Speaker 6: It was dark in here earlier. It was just me
- 4:31Speaker 6: and you.
- 4:31Speaker 3: That had been weird.
- 4:32Speaker 6: So I was like, let me wait.
- 4:33Speaker 3: Strange situation.
- 4:34Speaker 6: Yeah, I was like, let me wait.
- 4:38Speaker 5: I walked in and Taylor was for some reason sitting
- 4:42Speaker 5: over there with Matt. It was dark as hell in here.
- 4:45Speaker 5: I'm like, there's another chair.
- 4:46Speaker 6: Yeah, Alondra was like, you don't want to sit on
- 4:48Speaker 6: Jake's side? I was like, this chair is more comfy.
- 4:49Speaker 7: We were supposed to switch today.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Why?
- 4:52Speaker 3: What do you mean?
- 4:52Speaker 7: See if anybody noticed.
- 4:54Speaker 3: Oh, did we talk about that?
- 4:55Speaker 7: Yeah. I don't remember.
- 4:56Speaker 5: We did.
- 4:58Speaker 7: Did you... You had a picture that was like a bird.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 5:02Speaker 6: It was the surface, remember?
- 5:04Speaker 7: Oh, yeah.
- 5:05Speaker 6: And y'all look opposite up here on the camera.
- 5:06Speaker 7: That's right.
- 5:07Speaker 3: Yeah, well, I got here, and I had my workstation
- 5:10Speaker 3: set up already. You do be having a lot.
- 5:17Speaker 7: I need a lot. I don't really know what's going
- 5:18Speaker 7: on with this whole situation. Sometimes it's just cartoons. Well,
- 5:23Speaker 7: simple math.
- 5:25Speaker 3: You're dreaming cartoons.
- 5:26Speaker 7: I've said it.
- 5:28Speaker 6: Simple math.
- 5:35Speaker 7: Every time I go to say something from the movie,
- 5:37Speaker 7: I'm like, you can't do that. You can't do that.
- 5:39Speaker 7: You can't say that. I got to move on.
- 5:41Speaker 4: How'd last night go? Anybody do anything fun? I was
- 5:44Speaker 4: trying to find something to watch, and I'm like, oh,
- 5:47Speaker 4: the Rays and the Guardians.
- 5:49Speaker 3: Yeah, how'd that go? Has anybody been watching baseball?
- 5:52Speaker 5: Isn't it tied up or no?
- 5:54Speaker 7: When I left, the Rays were up. So no? No,
- 5:57Speaker 7: it should be tied because the Guardians came back in
- 5:59Speaker 7: the first game. Yeah, they won 3-1 last night, so
- 6:05Speaker 7: it is 1-1.
- 6:06Speaker 6: We put up some Halloween decorations last night. We're about
- 6:11Speaker 6: halfway done. I'm not putting out my full.
- 6:14Speaker 4: I thought that would have been done 14 days ago.
- 6:18Speaker 6: If Victoria's doing something, I've got to watch the kiddo
- 6:20Speaker 6: and that type of thing. I had to hand her
- 6:23Speaker 6: stuff down from the attic, so we've got to make
- 6:24Speaker 6: sure he's in a great mood to do that. I'm
- 6:28Speaker 6: not putting the full cemetery out yet because I'm like,
- 6:30Speaker 6: I don't want to have to pick it up to
- 6:31Speaker 6: cut the grass and put it back. So we're going
- 6:34Speaker 6: to do that like a couple of days before Halloween,
- 6:35Speaker 6: but everything else is out. It's pumpkin arch.
- 6:40Speaker 7: That's great.
- 6:43Speaker 3: Pumpkin arch. Oh, good for you. I guess.
- 6:45Speaker 6: Well, I guess the jack-o'-lantern arch.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Are you, are y'all a big balloon arch family?
- 6:49Speaker 7: No. Normally.
- 6:53Speaker 6: I've never had one.
- 6:54Speaker 1: So.
- 6:55Speaker 3: They can really spice up a party.
- 6:56Speaker 4: For somebody who loves Halloween as much as you do,
- 7:00Speaker 4: what's Razor going to be for Halloween?
- 7:03Speaker 6: So we're actually going to pick up the costume this week.
- 7:05Speaker 6: He's growing so damn fast that we won't wait.
- 7:08Speaker 3: Let's go.
- 7:10Speaker 7: Like weeds.
- 7:11Speaker 6: Victoria mentioned something about, like, wants to put him in
- 7:13Speaker 6: one of the cute, like, baby pumpkin outfits or something
- 7:15Speaker 6: like that.
- 7:16Speaker 7: Classic.
- 7:17Speaker 6: It'll be something simple this year.
- 7:19Speaker 5: You should make him Chucky.
- 7:21Speaker 4: I was about to say, for somebody who's won the
- 7:23Speaker 4: Halloween costume back to back to back years.
- 7:28Speaker 6: This is his first Halloween and Victoria's like, I want
- 7:30Speaker 6: him to be something cute because I even mentioned Chucky.
- 7:33Speaker 6: That came up. She wasn't crazy about that idea for
- 7:36Speaker 6: the first Halloween.
- 7:37Speaker 7: I feel selfish.
- 7:40Speaker 3: I would say Chucky's probably pretty cute in some cultures.
- 7:43Speaker 3: I would think.
- 7:45Speaker 5: What cultures?
- 7:46Speaker 7: Some of them.
- 7:49Speaker 6: Not this one, but some.
- 7:52Speaker 5: I cannot. I feel like Chucky actually might be cuter
- 7:58Speaker 5: as a toddler, though, because he walks around. So maybe
- 8:02Speaker 5: she made the right call.
- 8:03Speaker 3: Yeah, that's true. I like the costumes for dogs, where
- 8:09Speaker 3: the feet are the legs of the dog.
- 8:10Speaker 5: When they're human, yeah.
- 8:12Speaker 7: Those really made me laugh.
- 8:14Speaker 6: The postman?
- 8:15Speaker 3: Yeah, especially when it's a wiener dog.
- 8:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:17Speaker 6: It's true. Wiener dogs are just naturally funny.
- 8:19Speaker 3: Just naturally funny. Now, mean. Mean is all get out.
- 8:21Speaker 6: Yeah, they're pretty mean.
- 8:23Speaker 7: Wiener dogs are mean.
- 8:24Speaker 2: Oh, boy.
- 8:24Speaker 7: I've really been around one.
- 8:26Speaker 3: I had one for a little bit.
- 8:27Speaker 5: Sometimes they are.
- 8:28Speaker 7: Wait.
- 8:29Speaker 2: I'm a little rascal.
- 8:30Speaker 7: This is small dogs. What happened?
- 8:31Speaker 3: You said for a little bit. Well, actually for, you know,
- 8:33Speaker 3: multiple years. A little bit, a little portion of my life.
- 8:36Speaker 7: Yeah, okay.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:37Speaker 7: He was mean.
- 8:38Speaker 3: You give him like a, back in the day, you
- 8:40Speaker 3: give him like a piggy or something like that. You
- 8:42Speaker 3: give him like a bone. Yeah. I'll tell you, he
- 8:44Speaker 3: was kennel trained. He'd go in that kennel and he would.
- 8:48Speaker 3: tuck it away under, like, his little blankets or whatever,
- 8:50Speaker 3: his towels or whatever he'd lay on. And he'd just
- 8:52Speaker 3: sit in that cage. And every time he walked in
- 8:54Speaker 3: the room, he'd hear.
- 8:56Speaker 5: That was a good growl.
- 8:59Speaker 6: That actually was really good.
- 9:01Speaker 7: Thank you.
- 9:02Speaker 6: We can't even critique it.
- 9:04Speaker 4: No.
- 9:04Speaker 3: I'm a voice actor.
- 9:07Speaker 6: I've studied for years.
- 9:08Speaker 7: That might be the most impressive thing I've ever seen
- 9:10Speaker 7: you do.
- 9:11Speaker 3: Thank you. Don't ask me to do it again.
- 9:15Speaker 4: If you're listening on radio and not watching on YouTube,
- 9:18Speaker 4: you couldn't see the face that he made.
- 9:19Speaker 3: I think half of my lip went up. Just like Chip.
- 9:25Speaker 5: It's the little dogs. They get you.
- 9:26Speaker 3: They do.
- 9:28Speaker 7: Mean son of a gun. Laundry, did you make it
- 9:31Speaker 7: to 830 last night?
- 9:33Speaker 5: I made it past 830.
- 9:34Speaker 7: Shut up. Big deal.
- 9:36Speaker 5: Made it to like 930. Yeah.
- 9:37Speaker 1: Wow.
- 9:37Speaker 5: Y'all need to get on my level.
- 9:43Speaker 7: You know. Got to live a little.
- 9:46Speaker 5: I mean, I live plenty throughout the day.
- 9:47Speaker 4: I think from like 9.30 to 11.30.
- 9:51Speaker 7: Five lives in one day.
- 9:52Speaker 4: 9.30 to 11.30 is like the only somewhat kind of
- 9:56Speaker 4: adult time to watch a show, to watch a movie.
- 10:00Speaker 4: you know, have adult conversation.
- 10:02Speaker 6: I could see Alondra looking out the window and be like, well,
- 10:04Speaker 6: sun went down. Time to pack it up.
- 10:06Speaker 5: If the sun is down, I'm not leaving my house.
- 10:08Speaker 6: We're out of here.
- 10:09Speaker 3: It's about damn time, son.
- 10:10Speaker 5: Yeah, that's why I don't like when the sun goes down.
- 10:13Speaker 5: It's coming up, daylight savings. That's why I don't like
- 10:16Speaker 5: when the sun goes down early.
- 10:18Speaker 7: Brooks and Dunn said it's a lonesome feeling.
- 10:20Speaker 5: It is, and I feel like I can't leave my
- 10:22Speaker 5: house if it's nighttime outside.
- 10:25Speaker 6: We've all been there.
- 10:25Speaker 5: I mean, it feels logical to me.
- 10:28Speaker 3: I mean, that's how the farmers do.
- 10:31Speaker 6: It's nighttime.
- 10:31Speaker 5: It's time to stay in your house.
- 10:33Speaker 7: That's how the farmers do.
- 10:35Speaker 6: Jake, you were asking about anybody watching the MLB playoffs?
- 10:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:40Speaker 6: Eddie is being on in the background last night. Cause
- 10:42Speaker 6: Victoria's feeding Griffins. I had to clean the kitchen. Cause
- 10:45Speaker 6: I gotta do everything now. So the TV's on in
- 10:51Speaker 6: the background.
- 10:52Speaker 3: Real. That was a lot of pain behind that.
- 10:55Speaker 6: They had the frozen frenzy on. It was awesome.
- 11:00Speaker 7: What's, What is that?
- 11:02Speaker 6: Learned about it last night. It's been like every hockey
- 11:05Speaker 6: team in the NHL plays. I just had it on
- 11:07Speaker 6: the background, but they're like, all right, the game's over.
- 11:09Speaker 2: Cool.
- 11:09Speaker 6: We're going to switch to another one.
- 11:10Speaker 7: Like, okay.
- 11:11Speaker 3: All right.
- 11:12Speaker 6: I said there for a little bit.
- 11:13Speaker 2: I was like, it's all right.
- 11:14Speaker 3: I can get behind this.
- 11:15Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 11:16Speaker 7: It was great.
- 11:16Speaker 3: It was good. It's like March madness, but for.
- 11:20Speaker 6: Like literally one game ended, they didn't even go in
- 11:22Speaker 6: the post game. They're like, we're going to send you
- 11:23Speaker 6: down to Dallas with Steve Levy.
- 11:25Speaker 7: And they kicked down.
- 11:26Speaker 3: San Jose. I like it.
- 11:30Speaker 7: A lot of fights.
- 11:32Speaker 6: Yeah, good bet.
- 11:33Speaker 3: Yeah, it was fun.
- 11:34Speaker 7: Frozen fists.
- 11:35Speaker 6: I don't watch a ton of hockey, but I was like,
- 11:37Speaker 6: that was fun.
- 11:38Speaker 3: You bet.
- 11:39Speaker 6: Gave the fall vibes, you know, made me feel cold
- 11:41Speaker 6: watching the hockey.
- 11:43Speaker 3: That was fun. It got a little hot. It got
- 11:44Speaker 3: in the 90s yesterday.
- 11:46Speaker 6: Supposed to today.
- 11:47Speaker 3: By Saturday. Game day. I think I saw a high
- 11:51Speaker 3: of 74, low of 51.
- 11:52Speaker 7: Oh, that's more than a scooch.
- 11:54Speaker 3: That is more than a scooch. They call that cool.
- 11:57Speaker 7: All right.
- 11:58Speaker 3: Foggy again today. In Green Bay, you call that summer.
- 12:01Speaker 7: Yeah, you do.
- 12:02Speaker 6: It was worse today. It was worse today. LSU wasn't
- 12:05Speaker 6: flying out today either.
- 12:06Speaker 3: That's for sure. No.
- 12:08Speaker 7: Very foggy today.
- 12:10Speaker 5: I love people's response to that.
- 12:12Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 12:12Speaker 5: Because Kim Mulkey and Will Wade are definitely the ones
- 12:15Speaker 5: that are going to avoid the media and shy away
- 12:18Speaker 5: from them.
- 12:19Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 12:22Speaker 2: Any chance.
- 12:22Speaker 7: Any chance they get.
- 12:23Speaker 4: There's about 15 to 20 media members that are going to.
- 12:29Speaker 7: Try to hate on LSU.
- 12:30Speaker 6: The media just intimidates some people.
- 12:32Speaker 3: All right, it's okay.
- 12:32Speaker 6: It's all right.
- 12:35Speaker 5: Wait, there's a great idea in the chat right now. Taylor,
- 12:37Speaker 5: you should dress Razor as a Razor scooter.
- 12:39Speaker 6: It'd be cool. Hard to make. I'd make that. A
- 12:46Speaker 6: lot of paper mache.
- 12:47Speaker 7: A lot of paper mache.
- 12:48Speaker 3: God gave you two perfectly good hands.
- 12:50Speaker 7: He did. Also thumbs. So it separates us from the animals.
- 12:54Speaker 7: Sure does, buddy.
- 12:56Speaker 6: I would think like an actual Razor.
- 12:58Speaker 7: It'd be a little bit easier.
- 13:00Speaker 4: That too.
- 13:00Speaker 8: Oh, true.
- 13:00Speaker 7: A little dangerous.
- 13:02Speaker 6: Well, I mean, Matt, it's not going to be.
- 13:05Speaker 7: Why not? The guy's name's Razor. I think he lives
- 13:08Speaker 7: on the dangerous side, bud.
- 13:09Speaker 3: That's a good point.
- 13:11Speaker 6: He lives on the edge.
- 13:15Speaker 7: You got it.
- 13:16Speaker 3: Not going to top that one in this segment. Remember
- 13:18Speaker 3: when you used to learn how to shave back in
- 13:23Speaker 3: the day? And it was a race by all the
- 13:26Speaker 3: razor companies to see how many razors they could fit
- 13:28Speaker 3: on that thing.
- 13:29Speaker 7: Oh, yeah.
- 13:29Speaker 3: The Mach 5. I think I learned on a Mach 5.
- 13:33Speaker 3: I don't know how many they got on there.
- 13:35Speaker 7: It was a lot.
- 13:37Speaker 3: We were Mach 3s. Do they still put upwards of
- 13:42Speaker 3: 5 on those things?
- 13:44Speaker 7: That I don't know.
- 13:44Speaker 3: I hadn't straight bladed my face in two decades probably.
- 13:48Speaker 7: Yeah. Since 2007 when I got married.
- 13:52Speaker 4: You got a straight blade? Straight blade for like the
- 13:54Speaker 4: The actual day, probably. That's about it.
- 13:58Speaker 3: Let us know in the chat. How many razor blades
- 14:00Speaker 3: have you put on those things?
- 14:00Speaker 7: What's the mock up to?
- 14:01Speaker 3: What's the mock? Is it mock 20? What are we
- 14:04Speaker 3: up to?
- 14:05Speaker 7: All right. We'll take a break.
- 14:07Speaker 4: When we come back, as we typically do on Wednesday,
- 14:10Speaker 4: not as much review of LSU Kentucky, but more of
- 14:13Speaker 4: a preview for LSU Mississippi State.
- 14:16Speaker 7: So we'll start that process.
- 14:18Speaker 4: As Tay-Tay mentioned in the open, Gail Benson certainly had
- 14:20Speaker 4: some things to say about the direction of the New
- 14:22Speaker 4: Orleans Saints.
- 14:23Speaker 7: We will get to that. We've got Dr.
- 14:25Speaker 4: Stephen Etheridge joining us in 45 minutes from now. Stay
- 14:28Speaker 4: locked in here to OTB.
- 14:31Speaker 8: Off the bench.
- 14:32Speaker 7: All right, go to TrashRangers.com.
- 14:33Speaker 4: TrashRangers.com, residential commercial trash pickup service. Roll-off dumpsters, they've got

- 17:05Speaker 3: see an outline on my phone?
- 17:07Speaker 2: I do not.
- 17:09Speaker 10: These are magic shirts. PonchoOutdoors.com slash OffTheBench. You don't even
- 17:19Speaker 10: see my collar slagging on that side.
- 17:24Speaker 3: Not a big deal.
- 17:25Speaker 2: LSU is still a 14-point favorite. 14?
- 17:33Speaker 3: Against Mississippi State. That quarterback must not be playing.
- 17:37Speaker 7: That's what the signs are pointing to.
- 17:38Speaker 4: We'll get an injury report today to see where Kamario
- 17:43Speaker 4: Taylor is at. Bothwell, the running back, very talented running back.
- 17:48Speaker 7: We're going to see where he's at.
- 17:50Speaker 3: Pretty sure he's going to be on it.
- 17:54Speaker 7: On what? The injury report.
- 17:55Speaker 4: Yeah, we just got to see if he's probable, questionable, doubtful, out.
- 18:03Speaker 7: A lot of different things that can happen. Very subjective categories.
- 18:07Speaker 6: Apparently.
- 18:08Speaker 3: There's one that's objective. Yeah.
- 18:11Speaker 5: Or should be, at least.
- 18:13Speaker 7: So, if he doesn't play, Parker Puckett.
- 18:18Speaker 3: That's who probably went by 14-ish.
- 18:20Speaker 5: That's a good name.
- 18:21Speaker 7: Parker Puckett.
- 18:22Speaker 4: He is definitely from Madison, Mississippi. That tracks. That's going
- 18:28Speaker 4: to be the quarterback that you would face.
- 18:30Speaker 7: It doesn't really... Like, it doesn't matter.
- 18:33Speaker 4: which quarterback if his name's not Camario Taylor. That's not
- 18:36Speaker 4: being disrespectful to anybody in that room, but Camario Taylor
- 18:39Speaker 4: is an absolute unicorn. I mean, watching the ball fly
- 18:44Speaker 4: off his hand, very accurate, big frame, athletic in the pocket.
- 18:51Speaker 7: He's one of the better quarterbacks, went healthy in the
- 18:54Speaker 7: entire SEC.
- 18:55Speaker 3: Yeah, he's 19?
- 18:56Speaker 1: Yes.
- 18:56Speaker 7: Is that right? Yep.
- 18:58Speaker 3: Okay, so I have it. So I'm going to be doing,
- 19:01Speaker 3: today I'm going to be doing a complete film study
- 19:03Speaker 3: on him in Mississippi State. And for a little review tomorrow,
- 19:13Speaker 3: or preview tomorrow on Our Eye in the Sky. But
- 19:16Speaker 3: I watched one quarter yesterday. It was the first quarter
- 19:19Speaker 3: versus Missouri. He got real good. He's really good. And
- 19:26Speaker 3: not just because he's athletic and he's got a big arm.
- 19:29Speaker 3: He's got great footwork he does he's got really like
- 19:33Speaker 3: and it's almost real nonchalant he's like he's the ashton
- 19:36Speaker 3: gentry version of quarterback he's like super upright and tall
- 19:41Speaker 3: like almost straight legged in the pocket but he gets
- 19:42Speaker 3: it and he's very like he gets his feet in
- 19:45Speaker 3: the ground and his feet are perfectly in line with
- 19:47Speaker 3: his progression he's like one first read here, second read here,
- 19:51Speaker 3: third read here.
- 19:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:51Speaker 3: He's looking to check it down. He's not looking to
- 19:54Speaker 3: use that athleticism. No, this is all based on one quarter,
- 19:57Speaker 3: but no, very efficient. And was for whatever reason, I'm a,
- 20:01Speaker 3: I'm assuming Missouri changed it, but they were just sitting
- 20:03Speaker 3: back and playing shell coverage. And he was just, find it,
- 20:07Speaker 3: going through this regression, find it, open guys. I'm assuming
- 20:10Speaker 3: they decided to do something different later on, but I'll
- 20:12Speaker 3: find out today. I'll let you know tomorrow.
- 20:15Speaker 4: So all I was going to point to, the injury report.
- 20:19Speaker 4: I know there's been a lot reported, but until you
- 20:21Speaker 4: actually see it, until you see exactly where he's at,
- 20:25Speaker 4: that is somebody that changes the math for Mississippi State,
- 20:30Speaker 4: to say the least. And so you're looking at him, Fluff, Bothwell.
- 20:33Speaker 4: 74 carries, 403 yards on the season, 5.4 yards per carry.
- 20:39Speaker 4: Mario Taylor is actually their second leading rusher. So it
- 20:42Speaker 4: kind of takes away that aspect of it as well. Now,
- 20:47Speaker 4: receiver Anthony Evans III, he is a dude. 40 catches
- 20:52Speaker 4: on the year, 574 yards, 14.3 yards per catch, five touchdowns.
- 21:00Speaker 4: If Kamario Taylor doesn't play, even if Bothwell does play, Like,
- 21:03Speaker 4: whoever's playing quarterback, you got to find Evans because he's.
- 21:08Speaker 7: A game changer.
- 21:10Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, those are impressive stats for sure.
- 21:13Speaker 4: And remember, they played one less game than LSU, so
- 21:17Speaker 4: the 40 catches, that's a big number.
- 21:19Speaker 3: That's a lot of catches. Now, they've thrown the ball
- 21:21Speaker 3: a lot.
- 21:22Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 21:22Speaker 3: They have thrown the ball a lot just because they've
- 21:24Speaker 3: been in close games and tight games where they've been behind,
- 21:27Speaker 3: like in the Bama game. But, yeah, they're passing game
- 21:31Speaker 3: from what I saw very quickly. I'm not going to
- 21:37Speaker 3: say dynamic because what I've seen is them completing and
- 21:40Speaker 3: executing very basic plays. And I promise y'all, when I
- 21:46Speaker 3: say basic route concepts, I mean that in the highest
- 21:48Speaker 3: compliment because people overcomplicate things so much. And to be
- 21:52Speaker 3: able to do basic plays, again, there's only so many
- 21:56Speaker 3: directions a wide receiver can come off the ball and run.
- 22:00Speaker 3: He can go left. He can go right, different angles
- 22:03Speaker 3: of each one. He can go left and right. He
- 22:05Speaker 3: can go straight. There's only so many different ways to.
- 22:09Speaker 7: Run a route.
- 22:09Speaker 3: There's only so many routes to run. So when I
- 22:12Speaker 3: say an offense can run basic routes and be successful,
- 22:15Speaker 3: that means you're really good at doing it. It means
- 22:17Speaker 3: you're really good at running those routes. It means you're
- 22:19Speaker 3: really good at reading those routes, reading those concepts. You're
- 22:21Speaker 3: really good at finding holes and zones, finding weaknesses in defenses.
- 22:26Speaker 4: Well, the greatest NFL coach of all time was famous
- 22:29Speaker 4: for saying, keep it simple, stupid.
- 22:31Speaker 3: Yeah, that's why all these coaches overthink, overthink, overthink. They
- 22:37Speaker 3: game plan, they game plan, they game plan, which is good.
- 22:39Speaker 3: You've got to do that. But sometimes you stall out
- 22:43Speaker 3: and an offense doesn't get going until a two-minute drive
- 22:45Speaker 3: before the half, and you're like, wait a minute. Where's
- 22:48Speaker 3: that been all half? Where's that been all game? They
- 22:51Speaker 3: just went right down the field. Well, it's because they're
- 22:52Speaker 3: running basic plays. Anyway, I say that because Mississippi State
- 22:57Speaker 3: ran very basic plays. They were just. Very methodical. I
- 23:01Speaker 3: think he had two touchdown passes in the first quarter.
- 23:03Speaker 4: And they trust their quarterback, and they trust him to
- 23:05Speaker 4: make the right reads. Which, again, that is not a dig.
- 23:09Speaker 4: That is not a negative thing. That is having a system.
- 23:12Speaker 4: Your quarterback understands your system, and he gets the ball
- 23:14Speaker 4: out and to the guy that's supposed to catch the
- 23:16Speaker 4: football based off the coverage. If he doesn't play again, though,
- 23:22Speaker 4: I'm shifting my focus, if I'm Blake Baker and the
- 23:25Speaker 4: defensive staff, to Anthony Evans. Against Alabama, he had 12 catches,
- 23:31Speaker 4: 166 yards. Against Missouri, he had eight catches for 114 yards.
- 23:37Speaker 4: Against Minnesota, on the road, seven catches, 121 yards. His
- 23:41Speaker 4: worst game this year is against South Carolina, where he
- 23:43Speaker 4: had six catches for 55 yards.
- 23:45Speaker 7: And a touchdown.
- 23:46Speaker 4: So six catches is his worst game this year. He
- 23:54Speaker 4: is a difference maker. Now, can whoever plays quarterback get
- 23:58Speaker 4: him the ball? That's got to be the thing.
- 24:00Speaker 3: Do we know anything about this quarterback? Besides he's got
- 24:05Speaker 3: a good name.
- 24:05Speaker 5: He played in two games. Well, he took some snaps
- 24:09Speaker 5: in two games.
- 24:10Speaker 6: He ate for 14.
- 24:12Speaker 5: 89 yards, zero touchdowns, zero interceptions.
- 24:15Speaker 6: Not a highly recruited kid at all. Coming out of
- 24:18Speaker 6: high school, local product. Yeah. He did not have a
- 24:22Speaker 6: star ranking. But, I mean... You know, he's been here,
- 24:26Speaker 6: and he won the job over A.J. Swan and Jayden Rashada,
- 24:30Speaker 6: who are highly thought of back up, so they obviously
- 24:32Speaker 6: like him.
- 24:36Speaker 4: Six foot, 180 pounds is what he's listed at. A
- 24:43Speaker 4: little bit different than Camario Taylor.
- 24:46Speaker 7: Who's a giant.
- 24:50Speaker 3: Well, so it's a little bit of unknown then.
- 24:53Speaker 7: Yes. All right. Well, that's kind of scary. Not a
- 24:58Speaker 7: lot of film on him. I'm terrified. Go to church.
- 25:06Speaker 4: But everybody's going to be paying attention to that injury
- 25:08Speaker 4: report again. We'll get that a little bit later on today.
- 25:10Speaker 4: We'll see exactly what it says. And again, look, it's
- 25:14Speaker 4: obviously not the Bible. We've seen players that are doubtful,
- 25:18Speaker 4: questionable play on Saturday, but just going to be interesting
- 25:22Speaker 4: to see exactly where he's at.
- 25:25Speaker 3: And, okay, remind me of his injury again.
- 25:28Speaker 7: Foot.
- 25:29Speaker 5: Perf toe?
- 25:29Speaker 7: Foot.
- 25:30Speaker 5: I saw that on the internet.
- 25:31Speaker 7: I don't know if that's true.
- 25:32Speaker 3: Perf toe? Ooh, he knows what I saw on the
- 25:34Speaker 3: old interwebs, too.
- 25:35Speaker 1: Ooh.
- 25:37Speaker 3: Death toe?
- 25:38Speaker 7: Death toe.
- 25:39Speaker 6: Oh, dude, it could be.
- 25:40Speaker 2: I forgot about that.
- 25:41Speaker 6: He's got death toe? Buddy, he plays through death toe?
- 25:45Speaker 5: I saw it on the internet, so I don't know
- 25:46Speaker 5: how true it is, but I saw several things about
- 25:50Speaker 5: that on the internet.
- 25:51Speaker 7: I did see several things.
- 25:52Speaker 6: That's probably right. I only saw foot, but I mean,
- 25:54Speaker 6: that makes sense.
- 25:55Speaker 5: Death toe.
- 25:56Speaker 7: This kid is tough.
- 25:57Speaker 6: They probably didn't want to put death toe out there.
- 25:59Speaker 3: Yeah, they didn't want to.
- 26:00Speaker 6: That's what it is, Matt.
- 26:04Speaker 3: Well, now I feel bad for him. Now I'm confident
- 26:05Speaker 3: that he's not going to be playing.
- 26:08Speaker 6: You can't play through death toe.
- 26:09Speaker 7: You can't play through death toe. It's ridiculous. Because your
- 26:16Speaker 7: toe's dead.
- 26:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:17Speaker 7: Pretty much, basically.
- 26:18Speaker 1: Oh.
- 26:19Speaker 4: All right, we'll take a break, continue breaking down some
- 26:22Speaker 4: of the matchups coming up this weekend. Again, do want
- 26:24Speaker 4: to get to Gail Benson's comments about the New Orleans
- 26:27Speaker 4: Saints and what the expectation is there.
- 26:29Speaker 7: We'll have all that for you when we jump back
- 26:31Speaker 7: here on OTB.
- 26:33Speaker 8: Off the bench.
- 26:34Speaker 7: Or go to centralplumbing.org. In Central, obviously.

- 27:41Speaker 2: Once again, it's on. It's on.
- 27:48Speaker 8: Welcome back to Off the Bench. Wednesday's show is brought
- 27:51Speaker 8: to you by Poncho.
- 27:59Speaker 2: Baby, how you doing? Hope that you're fine when I
- 28:03Speaker 2: know what you got in mind tonight.
- 28:06Speaker 7: Got me feeling like.
- 28:07Speaker 2: True to see, girl, I can't leave you alone. All right,
- 28:10Speaker 2: welcome back in. OTB here live from the Raising Cane Studio.
- 28:42Speaker 7: I want to tell you about our friends over at Rejuvene.
- 28:44Speaker 7: Go to rejuvenemedical.com.
- 28:45Speaker 4: 13 locations across the great state of Louisiana and one
- 28:49Speaker 4: in Mississippi as well.
- 28:52Speaker 7: Go to the website. See which one's convenient for you.
- 28:54Speaker 4: Remember, if you're listening to us up in the Port City,
- 28:57Speaker 4: got a location there. Basically, anywhere you're listening to us
- 29:01Speaker 4: in Louisiana, they got a convenient location for you. Very
- 29:04Speaker 4: quick process. Go in, get your blood drawn. Come back
- 29:07Speaker 4: in about a week's time. Have that consultation. Going to
- 29:09Speaker 4: have a plan for you already ready to go to
- 29:11Speaker 4: get you back to feeling like your youthful self.
- 29:14Speaker 7: Go to rejuvemedical.com. They're the best. I can't get over
- 29:16Speaker 7: this 14, y'all. That's wild.
- 29:19Speaker 2: 14 points?
- 29:19Speaker 7: Yeah. I mean. And then look. Again. Again.
- 29:31Speaker 3: It's obviously assuming Camario's not playing.
- 29:33Speaker 7: It's no doubt.
- 29:34Speaker 3: We are not 14-point favorites with him playing.
- 29:37Speaker 7: Yeah. No, no.
- 29:37Speaker 1: No.
- 29:40Speaker 7: It's a big reason.
- 29:41Speaker 4: But, I mean, even it opened up a little bit
- 29:44Speaker 4: higher than I thought. But now it's just continuing to
- 29:46Speaker 4: go up. So, you know, that's signs pointing that he's
- 29:49Speaker 4: not going.
- 29:49Speaker 7: To play in this game. But still. How does Vegas know?
- 29:53Speaker 4: They got some insiders there in Stark Vegas?
- 29:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:57Speaker 6: I mean, he plays in Stark Vegas, man.
- 29:59Speaker 3: Oh, that's a good one.
- 30:01Speaker 6: Good one.
- 30:02Speaker 7: Touché, sir.
- 30:05Speaker 4: I mean, they are the team that's ranked six spots
- 30:09Speaker 4: ahead of you.
- 30:11Speaker 7: You know what I mean? Yeah, I know what you mean.
- 30:15Speaker 3: It has been very good quarterback play that has beaten
- 30:18Speaker 3: LSU this year.
- 30:20Speaker 7: Yeah. What's the total?
- 30:22Speaker 3: So LSU, like, look, the sky is not completely falling
- 30:26Speaker 3: on LSU.
- 30:26Speaker 7: Like, you've lost... two road sec.
- 30:29Speaker 3: Games by a total of like what nine points something
- 30:31Speaker 3: like that yeah so like you've lost to some teams
- 30:35Speaker 3: that played really well in a really tough environment and
- 30:41Speaker 3: you've played against very good quarterback play so this line
- 30:43Speaker 3: to me is assuming camario's not playing because there's an
- 30:48Speaker 3: unknown there they're probably looking at every they're probably looking
- 30:51Speaker 3: at you know sharp money looking at this kid's the
- 30:54Speaker 3: backup quarterbacks, high school stats and seeing that he wasn't
- 30:57Speaker 3: ranked and seeing that he did this and that and
- 31:00Speaker 3: understanding that Mississippi state has stayed in the game and,
- 31:05Speaker 3: and won some really big games because their quarterback is
- 31:11Speaker 3: an absolute stud. So I don't know what kind of
- 31:15Speaker 3: supporting cast Mississippi state has around that.
- 31:18Speaker 7: I have no idea about their defense.
- 31:19Speaker 3: I was just going through like the play log of
- 31:21Speaker 3: the South Carolina game.
- 31:22Speaker 1: Yep.
- 31:23Speaker 3: And it was like, it looked like the start of
- 31:27Speaker 3: the game was about 35 plays by South Carolina to
- 31:33Speaker 3: four plays at Mississippi State. So I don't know, like,
- 31:35Speaker 3: every single drive for South Carolina was like, looked like eight, nine.
- 31:39Speaker 7: Ten plus plays.
- 31:39Speaker 4: Another one of those games where South Carolina, this has
- 31:42Speaker 4: happened to them twice this year, where they got up
- 31:45Speaker 4: and just could not find a way to put the
- 31:47Speaker 4: other team away. Same thing happened against Kentucky.
- 31:49Speaker 7: Mm-hmm.
- 31:50Speaker 3: So I don't know if Mississippi State is kind of
- 31:52Speaker 3: like fool's gold because they got some really good receivers
- 31:55Speaker 3: and they got this stud quarterback.
- 31:57Speaker 7: I don't know. This is a strange one to me.
- 32:02Speaker 3: Of course, I'll know a little bit more after this afternoon,
- 32:06Speaker 3: after I dive into the tape. But that line is weird, man.
- 32:12Speaker 7: It's weird.
- 32:15Speaker 3: If they rule him healthy. Where does that line go?
- 32:22Speaker 3: Single digits?
- 32:24Speaker 7: Has to. Has to, right?
- 32:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 32:26Speaker 7: Nine and a half? I was going to say eight
- 32:32Speaker 7: and a half. I know that's crazy.
- 32:33Speaker 3: If he's on, what are the, what are my, so
- 32:36Speaker 3: you're out, you're doubtful, you're questionable, you're probable.
- 32:40Speaker 7: Is that right? Yeah. What if he's, so what's worse,
- 32:43Speaker 7: doubtful or questionable? Doubtful.
- 32:45Speaker 2: Doubtful.
- 32:45Speaker 3: Okay, sound about the same.
- 32:46Speaker 6: Doubtful seems 50-50, doubtful probably.
- 32:49Speaker 5: Like, you're probably not.
- 32:49Speaker 7: I mean, you're doubting.
- 32:51Speaker 3: Okay, if he comes out unquestionable today, where does the
- 32:53Speaker 3: line go?
- 32:55Speaker 5: Maybe back to, like, 11 and a half.
- 32:57Speaker 6: 11 and a half, somewhere 10 and a half, somewhere
- 33:00Speaker 6: in there.
- 33:00Speaker 3: So doubtful is, like, 12 and a half.
- 33:02Speaker 6: Doubtful probably stays where it is.
- 33:04Speaker 5: Yeah, I was going to say probably, like, at 14 still.
- 33:06Speaker 5: Because doubtful, you're banking on that he's not going to start.
- 33:09Speaker 6: Like, unless you're Sam Leavitt, like, you're probably not playing.
- 33:13Speaker 3: And Leavitt doesn't lie.
- 33:15Speaker 6: Libby's not a liar. He's a stand-up guy.
- 33:19Speaker 3: He's going to look in the mirror and he's going
- 33:22Speaker 3: to tell you how it is.
- 33:25Speaker 7: Good dude.
- 33:25Speaker 6: I mean, that's why you and him are so close.
- 33:27Speaker 3: Yep, absolutely. Very close. Front of the show.
- 33:38Speaker 4: Thibodeau wants to know since when Has Kentucky's grocery store
- 33:43Speaker 4: been considered a tough environment?
- 33:46Speaker 7: Get out of here with that. Thibodeau, you're talking about
- 33:49Speaker 7: Kroger Field.
- 33:50Speaker 6: No, I know.
- 33:51Speaker 7: Thibodeau, you ever been there? I've been there plenty. Lost
- 33:57Speaker 7: all times, I've been there. It's a good environment.
- 34:03Speaker 3: I mean, almost anywhere in the SEC is a good
- 34:05Speaker 3: environment at night.
- 34:08Speaker 7: And, again, I mean, it's respectful.
- 34:11Speaker 4: If you take the top five of the massive stadiums, Tennessee's, LSU,
- 34:18Speaker 4: A & M, Georgia, you go to the next tier
- 34:22Speaker 4: of teams and stadiums, I think Kroger's the best of those.
- 34:26Speaker 7: It's a good environment.
- 34:29Speaker 3: And it all depends on the vibes, too. It all
- 34:30Speaker 3: depends on the juice in the air. You wouldn't consider
- 34:35Speaker 3: Ole Miss one of the tops. I think it's better
- 34:38Speaker 3: than Ole Miss. You bring in Lane Kiffin. And then, yeah,
- 34:42Speaker 3: that environment's going to be wild.
- 34:44Speaker 5: We talked about it a lot. You're going to get
- 34:46Speaker 5: everybody's best wherever you go because everybody's out to get you.
- 34:51Speaker 3: It's got nothing to do with the architecture. It's about
- 34:54Speaker 3: the vibe that you're bringing.
- 34:56Speaker 6: And the vibes were?
- 34:57Speaker 3: People do not like Lane.
- 35:00Speaker 7: I don't think anybody's underestimated that. I'll say this, though.
- 35:02Speaker 7: In 2021, too, Coach O was the coach. It was popping. Yeah.
- 35:06Speaker 7: It was good. I remember coming back and being like, I.
- 35:09Speaker 5: Mean, I can see Kentucky. We think of it as
- 35:11Speaker 5: a basketball school, but I can see it getting rowdy.
- 35:14Speaker 7: Because they drink so much bourbon. That's what I'm saying.
- 35:16Speaker 2: It's Kentucky. They're all wasted.
- 35:18Speaker 5: Up in the hollers.
- 35:20Speaker 6: Got nothing else to do.
- 35:21Speaker 7: Let's see. Just kidding.
- 35:24Speaker 3: It's not like we got a ton, you know.
- 35:30Speaker 5: Also, they rush the field.
- 35:31Speaker 7: I can't. Yeah.
- 35:33Speaker 4: Thibodeau said it's just because LSU isn't as good as
- 35:36Speaker 4: we all We're all made to believe. How often do
- 35:40Speaker 4: you see Georgia go there and lose? We're not Georgia
- 35:43Speaker 4: right now. Nobody here on this show is trying to
- 35:47Speaker 4: claim that they are.
- 35:48Speaker 3: Well, we also lost to them, and we won a
- 35:49Speaker 3: national championship.
- 35:50Speaker 6: I was about to say, these two dudes won a
- 35:51Speaker 6: natty and lost there. It's a tough place to play.
- 35:55Speaker 6: What are we doing?
- 35:56Speaker 4: Also, Georgia is the standard right now of the SEC.
- 36:02Speaker 4: Nobody else is doing what they're doing.
- 36:05Speaker 7: Could you be there? Yeah. Do you have the resources
- 36:08Speaker 7: to get to that point? Yes.
- 36:10Speaker 4: You're not there right now. I don't think anybody would
- 36:12Speaker 4: argue that.
- 36:12Speaker 7: I mean, I don't know. Yeah, what are we doing?
- 36:29Speaker 7: Williams-Brice is good, South Carolina, but.
- 36:31Speaker 3: I think that, I mean, that place used to be tough.
- 36:35Speaker 7: It's good, but.
- 36:38Speaker 3: Depends on when you catch them. I think everybody's like that.
- 36:41Speaker 3: I mean, in that middle tier, like you're talking about,
- 36:43Speaker 3: it just depends on when you catch them, all of them. Like,
- 36:47Speaker 3: you're playing Lexington at 11 a.m., probably not going to
- 36:49Speaker 3: be a ton of juice there. Not enough time to
- 36:52Speaker 3: get that bourbon in.
- 36:53Speaker 5: True.
- 36:53Speaker 4: There's some people that love an 11 a.m.
- 36:58Speaker 7: Big Ten? No, Mississippi State. Do they? Yes.
- 37:02Speaker 3: Well, that's because they were born in the fire, Jefferson Pilot.
- 37:06Speaker 7: That's every week. It's true.
- 37:08Speaker 3: They just followed them.
- 37:10Speaker 7: That is incredibly fair.
- 37:12Speaker 3: NBC follows Notre Dame. Jefferson Pilot, they followed Mississippi State.
- 37:19Speaker 5: I am excited about the 11 a.m. I'm pretty overworking
- 37:23Speaker 5: 6 p.m.
- 37:24Speaker 8: Games.
- 37:24Speaker 5: I'm going to have the rest of the day to.
- 37:28Speaker 7: Do whatever I want.
- 37:31Speaker 6: Are you going to speed home to make sure you're
- 37:33Speaker 6: inside before it starts?
- 37:34Speaker 3: Yeah. You're just excited.
- 37:35Speaker 7: Yeah, exactly.
- 37:36Speaker 6: Got to.
- 37:37Speaker 7: Sun's going down.
- 37:38Speaker 5: I mean, they got me out here getting home like 10, 30,
- 37:41Speaker 5: 11 p.m.
- 37:42Speaker 6: She gets pulled over. She's like, ma'am, where are you
- 37:44Speaker 6: going so fast? She's like, do you see what time
- 37:47Speaker 6: it is?
- 37:47Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 37:47Speaker 6: I'm going to get home before it's dark.
- 37:51Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, absolutely. Let me escort you there. You're right.
- 37:55Speaker 6: They would never. My apologies.
- 37:57Speaker 5: I used to live on Nicholson, and they would never
- 37:59Speaker 5: let me get to my apartment. I'm like, I live
- 38:02Speaker 5: right there.
- 38:03Speaker 7: I lived in Riverbend the same way.
- 38:05Speaker 2: Awful.
- 38:06Speaker 4: Take the shot. Jake, he's definitely from Madison, Mississippi. What
- 38:09Speaker 4: does that mean? My in-laws used to live there, and
- 38:13Speaker 4: it's a very nice community. It's got some money in it.
- 38:17Speaker 4: Everything's really nice, and he has a very expensive name.
- 38:22Speaker 7: What do you mean?
- 38:22Speaker 6: Just outside of Jackson, right?
- 38:24Speaker 7: Yeah. Yeah. It's a nice place.
- 38:29Speaker 3: What's the last name of you?
- 38:30Speaker 7: Puckett. It's the whole thing like when you say it.
- 38:33Speaker 7: That is a fancy name.
- 38:35Speaker 5: Parker Puckett.
- 38:35Speaker 6: Yeah, the alliteration really sells it.
- 38:37Speaker 7: Very fancy.
- 38:39Speaker 3: You say it with an accent, too.
- 38:40Speaker 7: Parker Puckett. That was like an English accent.
- 38:45Speaker 2: I was thinking.
- 38:46Speaker 5: Parker Puckett.
- 38:47Speaker 3: Parker Puckett.
- 38:48Speaker 7: Parker Puckett. Even that.
- 38:50Speaker 6: It works with any accent.
- 38:52Speaker 7: It really does, honestly.
- 38:53Speaker 5: Or like the high, polluted southern accent. Like a Virginian
- 38:58Speaker 5: accent or something.
- 38:59Speaker 7: Parker Puckett.
- 39:00Speaker 6: That was a good one.
- 39:03Speaker 5: Mr.
- 39:03Speaker 4: Puckett.
- 39:05Speaker 3: That was pretty good.
- 39:06Speaker 6: This might be name of the year.
- 39:07Speaker 7: This sounds expensive.
- 39:09Speaker 3: This is good. This is good sports. This is what
- 39:10Speaker 3: people need to know. How many accents? You can say
- 39:13Speaker 3: his name and it sounds classy.
- 39:16Speaker 7: Everyone.
- 39:16Speaker 4: Whoever's doing the broadcast this weekend, feel free to steal that.
- 39:20Speaker 3: Good luck. It doesn't sound like a great quarterback name, though.
- 39:25Speaker 6: I disagree.
- 39:26Speaker 5: I think Parker Puckett's a good quarterback.
- 39:27Speaker 6: I think the name Parker alone. is a good quarterback name.
- 39:31Speaker 3: It feels like the kind of name that, as a quarterback,
- 39:34Speaker 3: you crumble at the first sign of pressure.
- 39:38Speaker 9: That's just how I feel. Maybe that's what Vegas is.
- 39:41Speaker 9: Is it Puckett that does it? Because if the last
- 39:43Speaker 9: name is Parker. The whole thing is first name Peter.
- 39:48Speaker 9: I appreciate that comment. I can't explain it. I just
- 39:53Speaker 9: know it's fact.
- 39:54Speaker 7: Okay. I'll believe you. I'm going to age myself here. Mr.
- 39:59Speaker 7: Big said, as a Braves fan, I'm scared by anyone
- 40:02Speaker 7: with Puckett.
- 40:03Speaker 3: That's true.
- 40:04Speaker 7: Kirby. High five. Look at this guy. High five. Big baseball.
- 40:10Speaker 7: Same head.
- 40:11Speaker 3: Classic curbs.
- 40:12Speaker 7: This guy. Stitch head.
- 40:14Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.
- 40:16Speaker 7: We'll take a break. More OTB when we come back
- 40:18Speaker 7: here live from the Raising Cane Studio.
- 40:20Speaker 8: Off the bench.
- 40:21Speaker 4: All right, go to pelicanroof.com, pelicanroof.com, the website for Pelican
- 40:25Speaker 4: Roofing in Baton Rouge, in Lafayette, boots on the ground

- 40:39Speaker 4: they're going to get a plan together. They're going to

- 40:44Speaker 4: That's how they have over 605 star reviews on the
- 40:47Speaker 4: homepage of pelicanroof.com.
- 40:49Speaker 3: And sometimes that plan is nothing. They're going to go
- 40:52Speaker 3: to your house and be like, you don't need a roof.
- 40:54Speaker 3: Call us in 10 years. And that plan is going

- 41:21Speaker 2: Welcome back to Off the Bench. Wednesday's show is brought
- 41:26Speaker 2: to you by Poncho.
- 41:53Speaker 7: All right, welcome back in OTB.
- 41:56Speaker 4: Wednesday shows brought to you by our friends over at poncho, ponchooutdoors.com
- 42:00Speaker 4: slash offthebench.
- 42:02Speaker 7: Check it out. Get $ 10 off that LSU shirt.
- 42:07Speaker 4: Next couple of games for LSU are as critical as
- 42:11Speaker 4: any of the games coming down the stretch. You've got
- 42:14Speaker 4: Mississippi State and you've got Auburn. You're going to be
- 42:17Speaker 4: favorite in both those games and we've talked about the
- 42:19Speaker 4: 14 point spread which is a big big number here
- 42:22Speaker 4: coming up against Mississippi State you got to go win
- 42:24Speaker 4: it the number 16th ranked team in the country that
- 42:27Speaker 4: win will mean something that win could potentially hold some
- 42:31Speaker 4: weight depending on what Camario Taylor's future looks like if
- 42:33Speaker 4: he does come back at this game next game whatever
- 42:36Speaker 4: so you can gain something from this victory now against
- 42:39Speaker 4: Auburn right now Auburn is trying to figure it out
- 42:42Speaker 4: but it's still in Jordan hair and it's a tough
- 42:44Speaker 4: place to play I never won there you never won
- 42:46Speaker 4: there It's a tough place to play.
- 42:48Speaker 7: Still, you should handle business. You've got to handle business.
- 42:52Speaker 4: But even though I think Mississippi State is a very
- 42:56Speaker 4: quality win, and going on the road against Auburn, I
- 42:58Speaker 4: think it's a quality win if you are able to
- 43:00Speaker 4: get those two wins. We all know the narrative still
- 43:04Speaker 4: around LSU is not going to be, oh, they're back, oh,
- 43:07Speaker 4: they're good. Those two wins, right, wrong, or indifferent, aren't
- 43:12Speaker 4: going to be held up. So you have to just
- 43:15Speaker 4: continue to grind.
- 43:16Speaker 7: Not until November 7th. Because we know what's coming down
- 43:18Speaker 7: the tracks.
- 43:20Speaker 3: Yeah. Unfortunately, you are now in a position where almost
- 43:25Speaker 3: every game is going to be a must-win situation. And
- 43:30Speaker 3: we said it before the season. It's like, what's going
- 43:32Speaker 3: to be a disappointing season if LSU doesn't do what?
- 43:36Speaker 3: Doesn't make the playoffs. It's a 12-team playoff. You've got
- 43:38Speaker 3: to figure out how to be one of the best
- 43:40Speaker 3: 12 teams in the country by the end of the season.
- 43:44Speaker 3: And you unfortunately have put yourself behind the eight ball
- 43:49Speaker 3: on this one. You got to go win some games.
- 43:50Speaker 3: You're not supposed to win going forward. So, but you
- 43:54Speaker 3: got to win the ones you're supposed to. You're playing
- 43:57Speaker 3: a team this week. That is somehow your 14 point favorite,
- 44:00Speaker 3: but they are ranked six spots ahead of you in
- 44:02Speaker 3: the national polls coming off a heartbreaking loss on the road. Yeah.
- 44:08Speaker 3: You got to find a way at 11 AM. You
- 44:09Speaker 3: got to find a way. So this is going to
- 44:11Speaker 3: be a, This is going to be one of those
- 44:12Speaker 3: coaches games. Can you figure out how to motivate your
- 44:14Speaker 3: team outside of the obvious? What did you want to do?
- 44:19Speaker 3: If you lost the game, what is the first thing?
- 44:21Speaker 4: Get right back out there. It's the worst thing about football.
- 44:24Speaker 4: It's the worst thing about football. If I get beat
- 44:27Speaker 4: on a Friday night in the SEC in baseball, I
- 44:29Speaker 4: get Saturday and Sunday. In basketball, if I get beat
- 44:33Speaker 4: early in the week, I got the weekend coming right
- 44:34Speaker 4: around the corner, I can get back.
- 44:36Speaker 7: Softball, you name it. For the most part.
- 44:38Speaker 2: Football?
- 44:39Speaker 7: Football? Hell no. You got to let that thing stew
- 44:42Speaker 7: for a full week.
- 44:43Speaker 3: Trying to lose them before a bye week.
- 44:46Speaker 7: Oh, it's the worst. Yeah. It's the worst.
- 44:50Speaker 4: Rookie year, we go to Buffalo, lose. We fly from
- 44:53Speaker 4: Buffalo to London, lose. We fly back to San Diego,
- 44:56Speaker 4: bye week.
- 44:59Speaker 7: It was brutal.
- 45:01Speaker 3: Coming from your time at LSU, losing five games total.
- 45:06Speaker 4: And then all of a sudden, you lost two games
- 45:08Speaker 4: in a row by week, and you just got to
- 45:09Speaker 4: sit there in the suck.
- 45:11Speaker 3: For a month. We were 6-10, I think, my rookie year.
- 45:13Speaker 3: We lost more in the first 10 weeks of my
- 45:15Speaker 3: rookie year than I did in five years at LSU.
- 45:18Speaker 3: I was like, this is normal for y'all? We're just
- 45:20Speaker 3: laughing in the locker room?
- 45:21Speaker 2: I know.
- 45:22Speaker 7: I felt the same way.
- 45:24Speaker 4: We ended up going 8-8, making the playoffs and winning
- 45:26Speaker 4: a playoff game that year. But still, I was like, 8-8?
- 45:29Speaker 7: Gross. Anyway.
- 45:34Speaker 3: Got distracted there. But LSU, you've got to win every
- 45:36Speaker 3: game now.
- 45:39Speaker 7: Certainly don't take these next two games lightly.
- 45:41Speaker 3: Please make it to November with two losses.
- 45:42Speaker 7: There is nothing given. All right, Dr. Stephen Nathridge, when
- 45:45Speaker 7: we come back, hour number two.
- 45:47Speaker 8: Off the bench.
- 45:48Speaker 4: All right, go to ktozblinds.com, ktozblinds.com. Ktoz and Tears and
- 45:53Speaker 4: Outdoor have been in the game since 2004. Speaking of
- 45:56Speaker 4: a long time ago, that was my freshman year in college, Matthew,
- 45:58Speaker 4: so I know that was a long time ago. And
- 46:00Speaker 4: you don't stay in business that long unless you're doing
- 46:02Speaker 4: things the right way. And that's what Brandon Barton and
- 46:04Speaker 4: his team are going to do for you. So again,
- 46:06Speaker 4: go to the website today, see what they can do
- 46:08Speaker 4: for you inside and outside, outside and inside. And sometimes
- 46:12Speaker 4: it's a little bit of both. Like it has been
- 46:13Speaker 4: for us. Go to K to Z blinds.com.
- 46:15Speaker 7: Sorry.
- 46:15Speaker 3: K to Z blinds.com. K T O Z blinds.com. Um,
- 46:20Speaker 3: if you are ready to upgrade your house, call Brandon
- 46:22Speaker 3: Barton and his team, they will come out to your home.
- 46:24Speaker 3: They'll take a look around and they'll say, man, you
- 46:26Speaker 3: getting a little too much light here. Maybe you need to,
- 46:29Speaker 3: Improve your monthly electricity bills here because it's getting a
- 46:32Speaker 3: little too hot in this room. Whatever it is, they
- 46:34Speaker 3: can upgrade your house, make it look better. Jake, I
- 46:37Speaker 3: think it's getting the, what, plantation shutters? They got everything.
- 46:42Speaker 3: That's incredible.
- 46:42Speaker 7: Roman shades. Oh, Roman shades.
- 46:44Speaker 3: They got everything. I got a little confused there. KDZBuzz.com.
