- 0:00Speaker 1: Football at four on the Sports Bash. Well, a lot
- 0:04Speaker 1: of football, it's four stuff. I was highly looking forward
- 0:06Speaker 1: to the return of Jeff Mosher yesterday. Well we're getting
- 0:10Speaker 1: it today. He is back and there he is if
- 0:14Speaker 1: you're watching on the ninety seven three ESBN YouTube channel.
- 0:18Speaker 1: First off, Jeff, welcome back, man. I hope everything's going
- 0:21Speaker 1: all right.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Everything's good, Mike, Everything's fine. Always good to talk to you.
- 0:25Speaker 2: It's been a while.
- 0:26Speaker 1: Yeah, Man, we talked to Adam yesterday in your spot
- 0:28Speaker 1: and I was looking forward to getting your take on
- 0:31Speaker 1: what happened he did you guys did talk about it
- 0:34Speaker 1: on the podcast, I believe about the on Tavian Wicks,
- 0:37Speaker 1: and then today Howie Roseman. Did you know he commented
- 0:41Speaker 1: on why they made the trade for Wicks, what they
- 0:43Speaker 1: liked about Wicks. But I wanted to get your kind
- 0:44Speaker 1: of take and how you read the tea leaves of
- 0:47Speaker 1: adding another wide receiver, this one who knows the offense
- 0:52Speaker 1: working with Sean Manyon.
- 0:54Speaker 3: What does this say to you?
- 0:56Speaker 2: Yeah, so there's a couple of layers to this, Mike.
- 0:58Speaker 2: First of all, this is something that we talked about
- 1:01Speaker 2: on the podcast. I'm not sure everybody knows, but why
- 1:05Speaker 2: you got why you should be an Inside the Birds listener,
- 1:08Speaker 2: is that we were told that Dontavian Wicks is actually
- 1:12Speaker 2: a player that Howie Roseman has really liked since college,
- 1:16Speaker 2: since his days of Virginia. In fact, he went in
- 1:19Speaker 2: the third round into I'm sorry he went in the
- 1:21Speaker 2: fifth round in twenty twenty three. The Eagles didn't have
- 1:24Speaker 2: a fifth round pick that year, or maybe they didn't
- 1:27Speaker 2: trade it out, you know how it works with them
- 1:29Speaker 2: in the draft, But for whatever reason, they couldn't get him.
- 1:31Speaker 2: And I think you heard Howie talk about it today
- 1:34Speaker 2: that he's a player that they've always had their eyes on,
- 1:37Speaker 2: just watched throughout his career with the Packers, even before
- 1:41Speaker 2: Sean Mannion was there. But then there's the layer of
- 1:44Speaker 2: knowing the offense being available. Obviously the Packers are making
- 1:48Speaker 2: changes their offensive wide receiver corps, and then of course
- 1:52Speaker 2: the Eagles really needing depth in that area, whether or
- 1:56Speaker 2: whether or not, as we always talk about Aj Brown
- 1:59Speaker 2: is on the team not, they needed players. They need
- 2:02Speaker 2: specific types of players who know the offense and can
- 2:04Speaker 2: do certain things. And the one thing about Wis though,
- 2:10Speaker 2: is if you're looking for Tea Leaves, this s guy
- 2:12Speaker 2: is a natural X receiver, a tall two hundred and
- 2:16Speaker 2: ten pounds receiver who can go up and get the ball.
- 2:19Speaker 2: He is not AJ Brown by any stretch of the means,
- 2:22Speaker 2: but he can line up in that kind of spot
- 2:26Speaker 2: and give you the route tree that you need to
- 2:29Speaker 2: run as an ex er, he can get off the
- 2:30Speaker 2: press coverage if he's pressed, and he's familiar with the offense.
- 2:34Speaker 2: So if there is a deal for AJ Brown, then
- 2:38Speaker 2: Wicks can play some of that role. Now, he would
- 2:41Speaker 2: not automatically slide into your number one X role, of course,
- 2:45Speaker 2: you know DeVante Smith is still your number one receiver
- 2:47Speaker 2: and the Eagles would almost surely do something in the
- 2:50Speaker 2: draft to get a player who can also play either
- 2:54Speaker 2: the X or fit the offense, which Mike could also
- 2:57Speaker 2: feature a lot more condensed formations, kind of like the
- 3:01Speaker 2: Packers the Rams forty nine ers do, where you don't
- 3:04Speaker 2: really need a true, spread it out type of X
- 3:06Speaker 2: that you see AJ Brown play.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Well, yeah, so you know, obviously you mentioned Wicks in
- 3:11Speaker 1: the fact that Sean Mannion does know him, and I
- 3:16Speaker 1: just was, you know, kind of wanted to see what
- 3:17Speaker 1: you thought on how he's different from some of the
- 3:20Speaker 1: other receivers they have here because I think we've talked
- 3:22Speaker 1: a little bit about, well, if they lost AJ Brown
- 3:26Speaker 1: with Hollywood Brown, Elijah Moore, and what they have left
- 3:29Speaker 1: over fit the bill of a receiver room, does Smith
- 3:34Speaker 1: and Wicks with some of those guys make it more
- 3:37Speaker 1: plausible that, okay, they might have enough.
- 3:41Speaker 2: I don't think.
- 3:43Speaker 4: No.
- 3:44Speaker 2: I wouldn't say to me that DeVante. Let's say, if
- 3:46Speaker 2: we're assuming a J. Brown's traded, that like a top
- 3:50Speaker 2: three of DeVante Smith, Dontavian Wicks, and Marquise Brown is enough.
- 3:55Speaker 2: It's not. And that's why the Eagles would assuredly do
- 3:59Speaker 2: something in the draft to bring in another wide receiver,
- 4:02Speaker 2: probably high in the draft, or go another out as well,
- 4:06Speaker 2: or still look to upgrade that core. I mean, if
- 4:10Speaker 2: you're taking AJ Brown away, remember one thing. If the
- 4:14Speaker 2: Eagles deal him, you're dealing away Jalen Hurts his favorite
- 4:20Speaker 2: route right like May. He and aj may have a
- 4:24Speaker 2: different kind of relationship, but when Jalen Hurts likes to
- 4:28Speaker 2: put the ball down the sideline forty to fifty yards,
- 4:32Speaker 2: it's usually to AJ Brown and that's where a lot
- 4:34Speaker 2: of their great connections have been made. Now Dantavian Wicks
- 4:38Speaker 2: can go get the ball down the field. Marquise Brown
- 4:41Speaker 2: can get the ball down the field. He's actually not
- 4:44Speaker 2: been as good of a downfield threat by his career
- 4:47Speaker 2: average per catch average essay of DeShawn Jackson as what
- 4:51Speaker 2: he was supposed to be. But there's again, I mean,
- 4:53Speaker 2: I don't have to tell anybody this, There's a big
- 4:55Speaker 2: difference between aj Brown and those two guys. So that's
- 4:58Speaker 2: why I can't say, even with DeVante Smith in an
- 5:00Speaker 2: elevated role, I'm thinking about it, from the way the
- 5:03Speaker 2: quarterback likes to throw the ball, they would not They'd
- 5:06Speaker 2: need a more bonafide downfield guy to go get those
- 5:10Speaker 2: balls that Jalen likes to throw.
- 5:13Speaker 1: What is what is something that you like about Wis
- 5:16Speaker 1: that maybe some of these receivers that they've had here don't.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Do oh height, physicality. I'm not that they don't do it,
- 5:23Speaker 2: but I mean, you know, first of all, talent for
- 5:27Speaker 2: a number three receiver. I mean, the Eagles have been
- 5:30Speaker 2: kind of barren at number three receiver, and he can
- 5:32Speaker 2: play a little slot. Greg Cosell told us that we
- 5:35Speaker 2: did a breakdown on Dontavian Wick's tape it's up today
- 5:38Speaker 2: on the inside the Birds platform, Greg Cosell broke it down.
- 5:41Speaker 2: He said he can play a little slot, but it's
- 5:44Speaker 2: not really his primary function. But what you like about
- 5:47Speaker 2: him is his ability to use his height and his
- 5:51Speaker 2: body big body to go get the ball down the
- 5:54Speaker 2: field in jump ball situations and contested catch situations. Davante
- 5:57Speaker 2: Smith does that really well too. So I'm not saying
- 6:00Speaker 2: that he does this best on a team or better
- 6:02Speaker 2: than anybody, but he just gives that dimension that you
- 6:04Speaker 2: haven't had it from a number three. That's not something
- 6:06Speaker 2: Johan Dotson would do. It's not something Ques Watkins would do,
- 6:10Speaker 2: and it's not something Markkeith Brown's gonna do. As far
- 6:12Speaker 2: as contested catchability.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, I I it's funny you say that
- 6:17Speaker 1: because I have seen him work a little bit in
- 6:18Speaker 1: the slot, but on both outside and in the slot.
- 6:21Speaker 1: It's something that the Eagles just have not really had
- 6:24Speaker 1: a true slot guy. I don't know if he is that,
- 6:27Speaker 1: but if you put Hollywood, Brown and Wix, I mean
- 6:30Speaker 1: it seems like you could you have different options of
- 6:33Speaker 1: guys who fill different roles that you really haven't had
- 6:35Speaker 1: in the past.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Yeah, and one thing I should also mention, and sometimes
- 6:39Speaker 2: I get too wrapped up in who's the X, who's
- 6:45Speaker 2: the slot, who's the you know, the Z is that
- 6:47Speaker 2: if this offense has a wide array of condensed formations,
- 6:53Speaker 2: which is when the receivers line up tighter to the
- 6:56Speaker 2: line of scrimmage, they basically line up inside and then
- 6:59Speaker 2: use the space on the out right. You see that
- 7:01Speaker 2: the rams all the time, then it's less important to
- 7:04Speaker 2: have receivers that you identify as one position or the other,
- 7:08Speaker 2: and just more important do you have receivers who can
- 7:11Speaker 2: get open in space?
- 7:14Speaker 1: D'artavian Wicks is won. He is obviously, they traded for
- 7:17Speaker 1: him last week. And then there's Aj Brown, in which
- 7:19Speaker 1: today the answers have been the same. He is an eagle, Jeff,
- 7:24Speaker 1: we have been getting this momentum. Is there any more
- 7:27Speaker 1: momentum shifting one way or the other with Aj? In
- 7:31Speaker 1: your opinion? The trades what we know. Obviously, we had
- 7:35Speaker 1: a little hiccup with the reporter who has since resigned
- 7:38Speaker 1: from her position moments ago. That news just came out.
- 7:43Speaker 1: I don't know if that changed the way you viewed
- 7:45Speaker 1: any of this Aj Brown stuff.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I don't view it any differently. I thought
- 7:51Speaker 2: it was interesting the way Elliott Wolf had answered the
- 7:54Speaker 2: question in his presser compared to how Howie did today
- 7:59Speaker 2: is his presser where one leaves the door open, the
- 8:01Speaker 2: other one just says AJ Brown is still an eagle
- 8:03Speaker 2: or is an eagle? So we'll see, the only thing
- 8:06Speaker 2: shifting is that we're getting closer to the draft and
- 8:08Speaker 2: getting you know, after that will be getting closer to
- 8:10Speaker 2: May and then June, and then the saga can have
- 8:14Speaker 2: a conclusion one way or the other.
- 8:16Speaker 1: All right, So AJ don't know, but I maintain and
- 8:19Speaker 1: we were talking about this before you came on, Unless
- 8:22Speaker 1: you get a player that makes you better, do you
- 8:25Speaker 1: just keep AJ Brown? Unless and we had a textboard
- 8:29Speaker 1: question about this right before he came on, If you
- 8:32Speaker 1: think his skills are about to erode, do you just
- 8:35Speaker 1: trade him? Now get the picks because we've discussed the
- 8:39Speaker 1: picks now will probably the best compensation that you're gonna
- 8:43Speaker 1: get for him?
- 8:43Speaker 2: Yeah? Or is the number is the letter? See? Is
- 8:48Speaker 2: do you keep him and also deal with any kind
- 8:50Speaker 2: of unhappiness that he may express throughout the year again,
- 8:54Speaker 2: and you can say he's been doing that for a
- 8:57Speaker 2: couple of years and whatever that he goes won a
- 8:59Speaker 2: Super Bowl, they made the But it does get worse
- 9:01Speaker 2: by the year. I don't think that that's arguable. I
- 9:04Speaker 2: mean last year it got to the point where he
- 9:06Speaker 2: was on you know, Twitch or shows and saying this
- 9:10Speaker 2: and that, and it became stories. So it picks up
- 9:13Speaker 2: a little bit more each year. So if the offense
- 9:15Speaker 2: doesn't go smoothly next year and he's still on the team,
- 9:20Speaker 2: how much more does does he become of a distraction
- 9:23Speaker 2: in that regard? That's something that Eagles would have to,
- 9:26Speaker 2: you know, obviously take into account. Also if the question
- 9:29Speaker 2: is will we be better off without him? No, from
- 9:32Speaker 2: a talent standpoint, but can we win without him by
- 9:35Speaker 2: improving ourselves in other areas? Yeah?
- 9:37Speaker 1: Jeff Bosher Football of four powered by the Inside the
- 9:40Speaker 1: Birds podcast, Drift Day is coming up April twenty third,
- 9:44Speaker 1: And well, you mentioned a wide receiver in the drift
- 9:48Speaker 1: how about a twenty three? Do you think twenty three
- 9:52Speaker 1: is plausible for a wide receiver?
- 9:56Speaker 2: I think it is. I think it sure is, and
- 9:59Speaker 2: there will be some good ones in that that area.
- 10:01Speaker 2: Now do I think it's I would handicap it more
- 10:04Speaker 2: probably at just the way I've I've looked at some
- 10:07Speaker 2: mock drafts and feel like the board might fall. There
- 10:10Speaker 2: are some really good offensive tackles who are high upside,
- 10:14Speaker 2: like they may not have as many starts, but they're great,
- 10:17Speaker 2: really good athletes and really good measurables. The type of
- 10:20Speaker 2: guys that you wouldn't mind because the Eagles don't mind
- 10:23Speaker 2: this sitting a year behind Lane Johnson before they go
- 10:26Speaker 2: ahead and become a a player by year two. So
- 10:32Speaker 2: those might be hard to pass up if they're there
- 10:34Speaker 2: at twenty three. You know, I'm sure you've seen some
- 10:38Speaker 2: of the names like a Max Encore from Arizona State
- 10:42Speaker 2: or the Procter from Alabama. Those might be hard to
- 10:44Speaker 2: pass up. But yeah, I would definitely think receiver is
- 10:48Speaker 2: edge player, receiver and and offensive tackle to me or
- 10:52Speaker 2: the corner maybe it could be sneaky also tight end.
- 10:57Speaker 1: First round are US side fan enough that if you
- 11:01Speaker 1: if at twenty three he's there, you gotta take him.
- 11:04Speaker 2: You run to the to the podium to take me.
- 11:08Speaker 2: That's me speaking well, I.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Agree, But Adam and I were talking about this yesterday.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Is you really don't have any you know, the draft
- 11:13Speaker 1: is for the future. You don't have a future tight
- 11:16Speaker 1: end on this roster at all. You keep not wanting
- 11:19Speaker 1: the kid down the road with with the Goddard.
- 11:21Speaker 2: Yeah, not one, not one. Right, it's not just about
- 11:25Speaker 2: god it right. Calcaterra one year deal, one year deal.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Who's the other guy that I'm missing, Goddard Calcaterra month,
- 11:31Speaker 2: there's another one that they've got. Who's who's basically in
- 11:34Speaker 2: the last year of his deal. So yeah, well cam
- 11:38Speaker 2: Laho is on last year. There's one more guy, Well,
- 11:41Speaker 2: there's EJ. Jenkins, But I'm really more talking about you know,
- 11:45Speaker 2: Jenkins and Jaheem Bell are kind of either practice smart.
- 11:49Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that's another one year deal, but he's no
- 11:52Speaker 2: short shot to make the team.
- 11:53Speaker 1: No, but it almost lines up that the Eagles are saying,
- 11:57Speaker 1: we've got to get our tight end of the future now,
- 11:59Speaker 1: and all these guys are all stop gaps.
- 12:01Speaker 2: Yeah, basically, and you know, some of them, like Stone
- 12:04Speaker 2: Smarter are probably a dark throw.
- 12:05Speaker 3: Would you trade up for Sadik?
- 12:08Speaker 2: Probably not that kind of player. No, I mean no,
- 12:12Speaker 2: it's not that, it's just you get into then positional value.
- 12:16Speaker 2: Do you want to give up an extra pick along
- 12:19Speaker 2: with your first rounder to move up for a tight
- 12:23Speaker 2: end as opposed to an offensive tackle, or you know,
- 12:26Speaker 2: you get into the money element of it in five,
- 12:28Speaker 2: three to four years when you extend him, is it
- 12:30Speaker 2: gonna be you know that that have to pay him
- 12:32Speaker 2: top the line tight end money? Do you do that?
- 12:34Speaker 4: So?
- 12:35Speaker 2: I probably don't. I trade up like a two spots Mike,
- 12:39Speaker 2: if that's what you're you're asking. But I'm not going
- 12:41Speaker 2: up to the top fifteen or top twelve.
- 12:44Speaker 1: Well that's something we'll get into as we get closer.
- 12:46Speaker 1: But like what players at positions are, if they start
- 12:51Speaker 1: to fall, there's where you move up because that guy
- 12:54Speaker 1: fell and he's at what number?
- 12:56Speaker 3: You know, I don't know.
- 12:57Speaker 1: I really have it looked to see if there's a
- 12:59Speaker 1: guy that I think could Hey, he'll get to eighteen,
- 13:02Speaker 1: and if he gets to eighteen, bang you got to
- 13:04Speaker 1: go up and make that movie. Because they have so
- 13:06Speaker 1: many middle round picks that you wonder if they start
- 13:08Speaker 1: to make that they have the ability to make those calls.
- 13:11Speaker 1: They also have AJ Brown. I don't know that they
- 13:13Speaker 1: would trade them on Draft night though. Do you think
- 13:15Speaker 1: they would trade AJ Brown on Draft Knight that close
- 13:17Speaker 1: to June first?
- 13:19Speaker 2: I mean only if somebody's like gonna give them what
- 13:21Speaker 2: they're looking for, you know, to But otherwise then why
- 13:25Speaker 2: would you do that? Right?
- 13:27Speaker 3: Yeah, I agree?
- 13:28Speaker 2: Why would you take the cappit if you weren't getting
- 13:30Speaker 2: exactly what you wanted?
- 13:33Speaker 1: Yea, it makes sense. But like you're like in the
- 13:35Speaker 1: moment it's like, hey, you want to move up five
- 13:38Speaker 1: spots for this player, We'll take aj Brown. It's like, oh,
- 13:41Speaker 1: do we want to take that cappit to move up
- 13:43Speaker 1: five spots?
- 13:44Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 13:44Speaker 2: No, I mean, I think one thing about Howie at
- 13:47Speaker 2: this point, Mike and is that he's not a panicker.
- 13:51Speaker 2: He's not that guy from the movie. What was the
- 13:55Speaker 2: movie about the NFL Draft? I think it was called
- 13:57Speaker 2: Draft Day. Yeah, and then you know some think I
- 14:00Speaker 2: forget it was a Kevin Costna, forget who played He's like, yeah,
- 14:03Speaker 2: let's pick on this guy. He's our first year GM
- 14:05Speaker 2: and you know in the moment he'll freeze up and
- 14:07Speaker 2: do something. How he's not that guy at this point
- 14:10Speaker 2: of his career, So I can't imagine that he's gonna
- 14:13Speaker 2: be like, uh, you know, he's got everything planned out,
- 14:16Speaker 2: He's had it planning. This is one of the best
- 14:18Speaker 2: things about how he is, just his attention to detail
- 14:20Speaker 2: and plan and sticking to that plan when you get there.
- 14:23Speaker 2: And that's why he's been pretty good at the draft
- 14:26Speaker 2: over the last three, four or five years ever since.
- 14:28Speaker 2: You know what's really funny not to give offense the
- 14:31Speaker 2: Jalen Hurts This is I'm probably gonna write something about
- 14:34Speaker 2: this for Philly Voice that two twenty draft. Twenty twenty
- 14:38Speaker 2: draft is an absolute bleep show. Without Jalen Hurts being
- 14:42Speaker 2: picked in the second round, it's actually one of the
- 14:44Speaker 2: worst drafts in NFL his or in Eagles history, right
- 14:47Speaker 2: with Jalen Rager in the first round and day who's
- 14:50Speaker 2: the linebacker from Colorado Davion Taylor? Yeah, and the third
- 14:55Speaker 2: round and Kevon Wallace in the fourth round and High
- 14:58Speaker 2: Tower in the fifth round, and I mean, it was
- 15:01Speaker 2: just a terrible draft, right, right, It was a terrible
- 15:05Speaker 2: draft except for the fact that you got a Super
- 15:06Speaker 2: Bowl winning quarterback franchise quarterstaff. And there is an expression
- 15:10Speaker 2: that if you hit on a quarterback in a draft,
- 15:13Speaker 2: it is a successful draft no matter what. Yeah, And
- 15:15Speaker 2: that is literally the epitome of the twenty twenty draft.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Real quick, Howie said. The criticism on Jalen was unfair
- 15:23Speaker 1: and unfortunate? Is that genuine that he thought that because
- 15:29Speaker 1: some people thought that it was in fact the organization
- 15:32Speaker 1: that wanted that story to get out.
- 15:34Speaker 2: Well, let me ask you this, okay, because this is
- 15:36Speaker 2: more of like an interpretation question. So we're all we're
- 15:40Speaker 2: all pros here. Did you listen to his prescot Did
- 15:43Speaker 2: you see him answer the question?
- 15:46Speaker 3: I didn't see his body language. I heard the answer you.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Heard because you could hear it in live. How did
- 15:52Speaker 2: you interpret that?
- 15:55Speaker 1: Uh? He seemed frustrated that the like he answered it,
- 16:01Speaker 1: and then at the end he was like, it's unfortunate.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Yeah, I I took when I was like, we.
- 16:07Speaker 1: Have it, Josh, can we play it? Do we have
- 16:09Speaker 1: the answer to that question? Let me see if we
- 16:10Speaker 1: have that the answer, because then we can play it
- 16:12Speaker 1: in real time and I can kind of re remember.
- 16:15Speaker 1: But well, we don't have the end of it. The
- 16:16Speaker 1: end got cut off or something.
- 16:17Speaker 2: No, I would just say this. I think one thing
- 16:21Speaker 2: that really stuck out from that answer was that when
- 16:26Speaker 2: he said, we're not hiding behind anything. We talked to
- 16:28Speaker 2: our players directly. One issue we don't have is communication.
- 16:34Speaker 2: That was almost I felt like that was his way
- 16:37Speaker 2: of saying we did not leak this story. This was
- 16:40Speaker 2: not this is not something that we went out there
- 16:42Speaker 2: and tried to damage Jalen hurts his name, and in
- 16:45Speaker 2: doing that he sort of only deflected that and didn't
- 16:50Speaker 2: really come to Jaalen's defense very strongly, other than to
- 16:53Speaker 2: say it's it's unfortunate.
- 16:56Speaker 1: And that's where at the end he's like, you know,
- 16:58Speaker 1: quite frankly, it's it's unfortunate, and it was almost like,
- 17:02Speaker 1: it's unfortunate that you put it out there, like you
- 17:07Speaker 1: know what I mean, Like I don't though it was
- 17:09Speaker 1: it is kind of interesting, like he's trying to say, well,
- 17:12Speaker 1: we communicate this with everybody you know, and then you're like,
- 17:14Speaker 1: but it's unfortunate that it even got out there. But again,
- 17:18Speaker 1: it wasn't like one source told me, it was like
- 17:21Speaker 1: dozens of people.
- 17:23Speaker 2: So, by the way, I just want to offer for
- 17:26Speaker 2: anybody who doesn't see it and reads the quote, there
- 17:29Speaker 2: is a very I don't want to say a misleading word,
- 17:32Speaker 2: but a use of the word not that could be
- 17:34Speaker 2: very very confusing. I agree, he says that I would
- 17:38Speaker 2: say that we have some faults. One is not being
- 17:40Speaker 2: direct and honest with our players and a conversation with
- 17:43Speaker 2: our players. What if you put the emphasis in the right.
- 17:45Speaker 3: Area, or Jerry bring anything.
- 17:51Speaker 2: So what he was saying, one of our flaws is
- 17:53Speaker 2: not that we are dishonest or indirect.
- 17:58Speaker 1: A lot of Seinfeld on it TV Land. Is it
- 18:01Speaker 1: bad as Sidefeld is all on TV Land?
- 18:04Speaker 3: I mean holy last week? Actually yeah yeah, So why
- 18:08Speaker 3: would Jerry bring anything? Why would Jerry bring.
- 18:14Speaker 2: But when I reread it, Mike, I was like, wait
- 18:15Speaker 2: a minute to that. Oh, I'm like, oh, yeah he did.
- 18:18Speaker 2: He just you have to put the emphasis on the
- 18:20Speaker 2: right word.
- 18:21Speaker 3: I agree with you on that.
- 18:23Speaker 1: All right, So here we'll play this for the listeners
- 18:26Speaker 1: who are just tuning in. Here is what Roseman how
- 18:30Speaker 1: he responded to the question regarding the article written about
- 18:34Speaker 1: Jalen Hurts.
- 18:35Speaker 4: Here it is we we have some faults. One of
- 18:37Speaker 4: them is not being direct and honest with our players
- 18:41Speaker 4: and the conversations with our players. So for us, if
- 18:45Speaker 4: we have any issue with any of our players, we
- 18:48Speaker 4: talked to them directly. So you know, from my perspective,
- 18:52Speaker 4: from Nick's perspective, from Jeffrey's perspective, you know, we're not
- 18:57Speaker 4: hiding behind anything. You know, we will talk to our
- 19:00Speaker 4: players directly. I think that it's unfair. It's unfair to
- 19:05Speaker 4: have these articles written, but I understand it's also what
- 19:09Speaker 4: sells at this point. So yeah, I think it's unfortunate.
- 19:14Speaker 3: And I'm trying to help you sell.
- 19:16Speaker 2: He put the real emphasis on the isn't instead of
- 19:18Speaker 2: the instead of the one right, so that it made
- 19:21Speaker 2: it look like it made it sound like you're saying, uh,
- 19:24Speaker 2: two different, exact opposite things in the same quote.
- 19:27Speaker 3: Well wait at that. Let me play the first five
- 19:29Speaker 3: seconds here again.
- 19:30Speaker 4: We have some faults. One of them is not being
- 19:34Speaker 4: direct and honest with our.
- 19:35Speaker 3: We have some faults. One of them is not being
- 19:38Speaker 3: direct and honest, right, Like.
- 19:42Speaker 2: Why he should have said one of them isn't that
- 19:44Speaker 2: we are, you know, or directing? He just should have
- 19:47Speaker 2: he should have double reversed it.
- 19:49Speaker 3: Yeah, good stuff.
- 19:52Speaker 1: Jeff Boscher Inside the Birds Podcasts, getting you Ready for
- 19:56Speaker 1: the draft, off season stuff, OTA's many can all of it?

- 20:02Speaker 1: to see you man, Yeah you too.
