- 0:04Speaker 1: and Matt Flynn. Let's go, let's go from a championship
- 0:07Speaker 1: backfield to your morning drive.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Ham'sday.
- 0:09Speaker 3: Hester and Hester got it five out of five.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Your luck's in to off the bench.
- 0:15Speaker 3: Well, that's right.
- 0:16Speaker 4: Control the.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Live from the Mercedes Benz of Baton Rouge Studio. Here's
- 0:23Speaker 1: Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Let's go.
- 0:34Speaker 3: TV that they do, Matthew Clayton Flynn that they do.
- 0:39Speaker 2: They take down Arkansas.
- 0:41Speaker 3: You know why, because you gotta get all twenty seven outs.
- 0:45Speaker 5: Gott gotta seven.
- 0:47Speaker 3: You gotta get them all. You can't run the clock
- 0:49Speaker 3: out in baseball. You can't take a knee. It doesn't
- 0:53Speaker 3: matter if the first seventeen outs you gave them nine strikeouts.
- 0:57Speaker 2: How didn't matter.
- 0:58Speaker 3: It doesn't matter all the twenty fourth out, what happened.
- 1:01Speaker 3: It doesn't matter on the twenty fifth out if the
- 1:04Speaker 3: shortstop decides to go to third base and get the
- 1:07Speaker 3: lead runner, even though it's a two run game. It
- 1:10Speaker 3: doesn't matter if on the twenty sixth out, if the
- 1:13Speaker 3: outfielders path was the butterfly on that's old. Let me
- 1:17Speaker 3: see the TUTSI roll does not matter. He's got to
- 1:20Speaker 3: go get the out. They don't get the out. LSU
- 1:24Speaker 3: finds a way. They win the game, and it's.
- 1:28Speaker 6: Beautiful and the most exciting, dramatic fashion. Bottom of the
- 1:34Speaker 6: ninth College World Series. Two outs.
- 1:37Speaker 5: Are you kidding me? What a crazy, crazy game?
- 1:41Speaker 6: This baseball world, this baseball fandom is pretty exciting.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Good lord, this news, this new stick sport that you found.
- 1:51Speaker 6: Yeah, well, I'm I'm a big stitch head now, I'm
- 1:55Speaker 6: telling you.
- 1:55Speaker 2: You've been telling people.
- 1:57Speaker 6: And the Flint family was jumping around owned nine seven
- 2:02Speaker 6: four year old.
- 2:03Speaker 5: My wife I running around high fiving.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Yeah, it was awesome. I was.
- 2:08Speaker 5: So.
- 2:08Speaker 2: I was in Lafayette.
- 2:09Speaker 3: Hudson had his opening ceremony of his World Series and
- 2:14Speaker 3: so they had like some skills competitions. So I drove
- 2:17Speaker 3: him over there, and we're listening to the call, you know,
- 2:23Speaker 3: and if you can't see it and you listen to it,
- 2:26Speaker 3: you're you're like, I feel like it's even more drama
- 2:28Speaker 3: field because you can't see, Like if you hear the bat, right,
- 2:33Speaker 3: you hear the ding, but you're like, where's that gonna go?
- 2:35Speaker 3: And you're listening for Blair to explain and you're like, okay,
- 2:38Speaker 3: all right, well is it God fault?
- 2:39Speaker 5: Right?
- 2:40Speaker 3: So, I mean, like all the drama trying to watch it.
- 2:42Speaker 3: So finally, my my twelve year old, was like, Dad,
- 2:45Speaker 3: just like give it to me. I'm gonna watch and
- 2:48Speaker 3: I'm going to kind of be your eyes and ears
- 2:50Speaker 3: as well. So we're driving and then as we pull
- 2:54Speaker 3: into the house, I guess it was going into the bottom.
- 2:58Speaker 3: It was going to the bottom of the ninth and
- 2:59Speaker 3: so our had already scored a couple of runs. And
- 3:02Speaker 3: so I walk into the house and Piercing's up to
- 3:04Speaker 3: bat and like as soon as I walk into the house,
- 3:07Speaker 3: he swings strike three. I'm like, oh, nobody on one out.
- 3:11Speaker 3: But you know what, that was only twenty five outs.
- 3:14Speaker 3: Wasn't twenty six, and it wasn't twenty seven.
- 3:16Speaker 5: What if you're up by two with twenty six.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Outs, doesn't matter.
- 3:21Speaker 3: You can be had by thirty with twenty six outs,
- 3:24Speaker 3: doesn't matter.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Gotta get twenty seven of them. And I don't really care.
- 3:28Speaker 3: I don't care what happened, don't care what mental breakdown
- 3:31Speaker 3: you had in the middle of it.
- 3:33Speaker 2: You gotta go get twenty seven. They didn't. You took
- 3:36Speaker 2: advantage of it.
- 3:37Speaker 6: Tigers win two amazing teams, amazing pitching by both sides,
- 3:45Speaker 6: clutch at bats from both sides, and a couple of
- 3:47Speaker 6: mistakes from both sides in this game defensively. But at
- 3:52Speaker 6: the end of the day, Lsu comes up with the.
- 3:55Speaker 5: Clutch at bats.
- 3:56Speaker 6: The clutch hits Jared freaking Joe. Are you kidding me?
- 4:04Speaker 6: He Lsu fans.
- 4:06Speaker 3: Like, I mean, the roller coaster of emotions with Barry Jones.
- 4:11Speaker 3: But he comes through and he has like when you've
- 4:15Speaker 3: needed him the most.
- 4:16Speaker 6: And since that first game with five strikeouts where everybody
- 4:21Speaker 6: was hollering two home runs six RBIs walk off to
- 4:27Speaker 6: send your team to the College World Series, National Championship Series.
- 4:33Speaker 3: Yeah, and I was so look, y'all know we're a
- 4:36Speaker 3: full disclosure show here. After you know, you're trying to
- 4:40Speaker 3: turn the double play and Bear lunches out for it. It's
- 4:43Speaker 3: in the air and he misreads it. I think he
- 4:46Speaker 3: thought it was going to be lower than that. And
- 4:47Speaker 3: two runs score there was, you know, there was a
- 4:51Speaker 3: lot on the socials feeling. And then so I sent
- 4:57Speaker 3: a text to my dad. I said, hey, Bear can't hit,
- 5:00Speaker 3: but he can't catch either.
- 5:01Speaker 7: Did I sent the text. It was a good text
- 5:04Speaker 7: at the time.
- 5:04Speaker 3: Well, so that happens in two run score, and so
- 5:08Speaker 3: of course he comes up and I mean, he just
- 5:10Speaker 3: hits eight tank.
- 5:11Speaker 5: That's a game. I watch it on TV like he
- 5:14Speaker 5: hit it, and I was like, ah.
- 5:16Speaker 2: I know he knew. I always know by him.
- 5:19Speaker 3: The last two home runs he's hit like he's kind
- 5:21Speaker 3: of looked at it and smiled.
- 5:23Speaker 2: But after he hit it, it ties the game up.
- 5:24Speaker 3: Of course, in the group text, I go, well, he
- 5:26Speaker 3: actually otis two yeah, not just one yep. And then
- 5:30Speaker 3: so you know when he finally he drives in the
- 5:32Speaker 3: final larva igo, well there's our second.
- 5:34Speaker 6: Yeah, the tank he hit, I mean, I'd like to
- 5:36Speaker 6: see the arc on that ball, because the watching on TV,
- 5:39Speaker 6: it looked like it was going straight up in the air.
- 5:41Speaker 7: He pimped it though, like he did something off the bat.
- 5:45Speaker 6: I was like, ah, But then I saw him like
- 5:47Speaker 6: just strutting off. I was like, I they kept it
- 5:49Speaker 6: on him. He swings and just stands there. I'm like, okay,
- 5:51Speaker 6: well that has to be gone right.
- 5:53Speaker 2: Well, there's a different look.
- 5:54Speaker 3: There's a different look if you hit it well, and
- 5:56Speaker 3: you're like trying to figure out did I get enough,
- 5:59Speaker 3: is it going to get out of here? Because then
- 6:01Speaker 3: like you're kind of you're still holding onto the bat
- 6:03Speaker 3: a little bit. You got to slow jow going down
- 6:04Speaker 3: the first you can go to that kind of face. No,
- 6:08Speaker 3: that was not the face that he had, and he
- 6:10Speaker 3: was watching every bit of it. So there's a thousand
- 6:13Speaker 3: moments in the game that lead to LSU being victorious
- 6:17Speaker 3: and moving on to the championship series against Coastal Carolina,
- 6:21Speaker 3: who you do owe something to from twenty sixteen.
- 6:25Speaker 2: But what a way to get there. What a night
- 6:28Speaker 2: for the Tigers.
- 6:29Speaker 3: Now you hit reset and I mentioned so many different
- 6:32Speaker 3: ways lost in all of this will certainly be what
- 6:38Speaker 3: Zach Cowen did for way out it'll get lost.
- 6:40Speaker 8: Shout out five to.
- 6:42Speaker 3: Third, gives up one run. Incredible performance. If anybody would
- 6:47Speaker 3: have come in here yesterday and said, hey, would you
- 6:49Speaker 3: take this from Zach Cowen, all four of us would
- 6:51Speaker 3: have said absolutely, without question.
- 6:55Speaker 8: I mean, you really can't ask for more than five.
- 6:57Speaker 2: No, not against that off one yeah.
- 6:59Speaker 5: On one room.
- 7:01Speaker 7: And it was the defense that you were waiting for.
- 7:03Speaker 7: I mean, Cowen was dealing.
- 7:05Speaker 2: And I mean, look, the guy hit a solo home run.
- 7:07Speaker 3: So it was earned. There wasn't heavy contact. What do
- 7:11Speaker 3: you gi about four hits?
- 7:12Speaker 2: Yeah? For his.
- 7:15Speaker 6: Look, man, our defense made some plays like that first inning.
- 7:20Speaker 6: They Milam made some insane plays at shortstop.
- 7:23Speaker 9: So I didn't care what Sorry, I don't care what
- 7:25Speaker 9: anybody says.
- 7:26Speaker 8: Best short stop in the country.
- 7:27Speaker 5: Oh my god.
- 7:28Speaker 6: I mean I hadn't seen them all for sure, but
- 7:30Speaker 6: I don't think he was. I'm like, how can you
- 7:32Speaker 6: how can you be better?
- 7:33Speaker 5: How's that?
- 7:34Speaker 4: Wait, how's impossible that? I didn't think he was tall
- 7:36Speaker 4: enough to play short stop?
- 7:38Speaker 5: Wait?
- 7:39Speaker 6: Wings baseball, he shouldn't be apparently, Well, so we have
- 7:45Speaker 6: such a good defense. So Zach Cowen's job is to
- 7:47Speaker 6: deal it and throw strikes right, make them put the
- 7:50Speaker 6: ball in play.
- 7:51Speaker 5: Yeah, and he did that yesterday. I saw the stat
- 7:53Speaker 5: that he threw.
- 7:54Speaker 6: I think he faced twenty one or twenty two hitters,
- 7:56Speaker 6: but he threw eighteen first pitch.
- 7:58Speaker 5: Strikes hit ahead in the count. Yeah, make them put
- 8:02Speaker 5: the bat on the ball.
- 8:03Speaker 6: Eighteen first pitch strikes to batters is an incredible stat
- 8:08Speaker 6: to me, let your defense play, and that they did.
- 8:12Speaker 5: And you know, a couple of gas later in the game.
- 8:14Speaker 6: But when Cowen was pitching certainly dealing with that defense
- 8:18Speaker 6: helped him in a lot.
- 8:20Speaker 3: And there's a you know, look, there's a lot of
- 8:22Speaker 3: different things that led to LSU went in the game
- 8:28Speaker 3: and Arkansas had some self inflicted wounds.
- 8:31Speaker 2: But you know what, like that's that's baseball.
- 8:34Speaker 3: Yeah, Like plays are going to happen, right, I mean
- 8:38Speaker 3: we just talked about it. You had a chance to
- 8:39Speaker 3: turn a double play, get out of the inning and
- 8:42Speaker 3: still have the lead.
- 8:44Speaker 2: But you're really good.
- 8:46Speaker 3: First baseman does something he hadn't done really all year
- 8:49Speaker 3: and makes an error. There's gonna be a hell of
- 8:52Speaker 3: a turn too. I mean Braswell gets it to dig
- 8:55Speaker 3: it out. I think it would have been out, and
- 8:57Speaker 3: then look you miss it like you miss one two
- 9:00Speaker 3: run score and bought and leave the infield that that
- 9:02Speaker 3: doesn't ever happen. So things happened for both teams, but
- 9:07Speaker 3: the team that stayed in it mentally the longest ended
- 9:11Speaker 3: up winning the game. And sure Arkansas is sad, and
- 9:14Speaker 3: there's a lot of people that are like, oh man, gosh.
- 9:17Speaker 2: This is the part that I hate. It is what
- 9:19Speaker 2: it is. That's sports.
- 9:22Speaker 3: Just like it is like, look I lost them the
- 9:25Speaker 3: my mile high miracle. That game yeah, I was part
- 9:28Speaker 3: of that and on the good side of it, the
- 9:29Speaker 3: bad side of it, like games happened. You've had one
- 9:32Speaker 3: when you were with the Packers. I mean, those games happen.
- 9:35Speaker 6: We've all been there. I mean that's why sports are
- 9:38Speaker 6: so great, because you you'll never get more excited as
- 9:42Speaker 6: a player, as a fan, as a coach. We also
- 9:45Speaker 6: never get as gut wrench your heart just ripped out
- 9:49Speaker 6: of your chest. And in that ESPN camera crew was
- 9:53Speaker 6: like eating it.
- 9:54Speaker 5: Up after that game, too good. Good lord.
- 9:57Speaker 6: I was like, man, quit showing these kids, like, yeah,
- 9:59Speaker 6: maybe show like because it like builds the emotion and
- 10:02Speaker 6: tells you how great sports a I'm just like, come on, man,
- 10:05Speaker 6: just like maybe let's just celebrate the victor here and
- 10:08Speaker 6: not so much like sorry, just keep going back to
- 10:11Speaker 6: the tears and everything.
- 10:13Speaker 5: We're sitting there watching my kids or you know, we're
- 10:16Speaker 5: celebrating blah blah blah, and then all of.
- 10:17Speaker 6: A sudden, all of a sudden, my my second, my
- 10:20Speaker 6: little girl, she's like, I'm sad. I'm sad right now
- 10:24Speaker 6: because she's seen all these like men for her, like
- 10:28Speaker 6: crying and tears rolling down.
- 10:30Speaker 5: But uh man, that's what makes sports great and hogs.
- 10:34Speaker 5: Those are hogs.
- 10:35Speaker 6: Yeah, Look, y'all seem like nice guys. Your coach seems
- 10:40Speaker 6: pretty cool. Like y'all weren't a holes or anything like that.
- 10:44Speaker 6: But like time to go home, baby, Tigers win, Tigers win.
- 10:48Speaker 4: Speaking of their coach, Dave Van Horne accomplished something pretty
- 10:53Speaker 4: impressive last night in ten now in Omaha in terms
- 10:57Speaker 4: of not making it to the uh not winning the
- 10:59Speaker 4: college World zoos.
- 11:00Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, And look, Dave's won a blank ton a
- 11:07Speaker 3: little bit, shut out Marvel Levy, a blank ton of games,
- 11:10Speaker 3: and he's an incredible baseball coach. But there is something
- 11:14Speaker 3: in that city, in that building, that new building now
- 11:17Speaker 3: that he just cannot figure out. And this isn't hate
- 11:22Speaker 3: on da Van Horn segment. This is appreciate Jay Johnson segment.
- 11:27Speaker 3: This is now two of the last three years that
- 11:29Speaker 3: Jay Johnson has gotten to the Championship series. J Johnson
- 11:34Speaker 3: has already won a national championship, something that the guys
- 11:38Speaker 3: that we're talking about have never done before.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Right, all the people.
- 11:43Speaker 3: That tried to throw out the Jay Johnson is coach
- 11:46Speaker 3: O in a baseball uniform. He only had one team
- 11:48Speaker 3: in one special run, which I disagree with that with
- 11:51Speaker 3: coach O as well. He got won a Fiesta Bowl
- 11:53Speaker 3: before he won a national championship. But that's neither here
- 11:56Speaker 3: nor there right now, It's about Jay. What do you
- 11:59Speaker 3: guys say now, what's going to be your narrative now?
- 12:02Speaker 3: Because now Jay Johnson's right back in a position and look,
- 12:06Speaker 3: for whatever reason, even if the Tigers go down, you
- 12:09Speaker 3: cannot tell me that Jay Johnson's not a top three
- 12:12Speaker 3: baseball coach in college baseball. You just you can't tell
- 12:15Speaker 3: me that he is the guy for the job and
- 12:20Speaker 3: LSU is the job. Sure, you got some guys like
- 12:24Speaker 3: Tony v who had a special run run not runs
- 12:28Speaker 3: run last year. Jay's back there again.
- 12:32Speaker 5: This year.
- 12:33Speaker 3: Jay got to Omahall with Arizona. Jay is not a
- 12:36Speaker 3: one trick pony. Jay is one of the top three
- 12:39Speaker 3: best baseball coaches in college baseball.
- 12:44Speaker 6: It kind of blows my mind right now that that's
- 12:47Speaker 6: even a discussion or conversation.
- 12:50Speaker 5: Like the teams that he's built already.
- 12:53Speaker 6: Of course, he's been here four years and you know
- 12:56Speaker 6: one one and it is about to play for another one.
- 13:00Speaker 6: When you watch this team play, it reminds me of
- 13:04Speaker 6: the team two years ago. No, maybe not from like
- 13:06Speaker 6: a skill standpoint. Everyone's a little bit different. But when
- 13:09Speaker 6: you see a team that gels together and has like
- 13:12Speaker 6: the chemistry that this team does, we get down and
- 13:18Speaker 6: they're just clutch because they believe in each other, they
- 13:20Speaker 6: have trust in each other.
- 13:22Speaker 5: It's just different.
- 13:23Speaker 6: It's like trying to explain what like championship DNA is
- 13:27Speaker 6: on any type of team, like whether it's a football team,
- 13:30Speaker 6: baseball team, basketball team. It's just different and it feels different.
- 13:33Speaker 6: You can't really put your finger on it why, But
- 13:35Speaker 6: it all starts with the man in charge on how
- 13:39Speaker 6: he does, the trust that the players have in him,
- 13:42Speaker 6: the trust that he shows.
- 13:45Speaker 5: To the players on the field.
- 13:47Speaker 6: It just it comes out in the way they play,
- 13:50Speaker 6: the way you feel as a fan watching the way
- 13:51Speaker 6: it looks like they feel on the team. And like
- 13:54Speaker 6: I said, you can't really put your finger on it,
- 13:56Speaker 6: but there's something that's indescribable of a championship caliber team.
- 14:01Speaker 6: And you know one thing that he said yesterday and
- 14:05Speaker 6: I was listening to his press conference and it really
- 14:07Speaker 6: like kind of stood out to me. It's like he said,
- 14:09Speaker 6: I would coach this team forever, and I was like,
- 14:14Speaker 6: holy hell, what a what an amazing comment, Like of
- 14:17Speaker 6: all the you know, all the all the teams is coached,
- 14:19Speaker 6: and I know every coach says that about everything. That
- 14:23Speaker 6: to me, you know, like saving went on his running
- 14:25Speaker 6: and bam he has to Like there's always as a
- 14:27Speaker 6: special group every single year and it's different. I like
- 14:30Speaker 6: to say that I would coach this team forever. Means
- 14:33Speaker 6: that this team has the it factor whatever, you know,
- 14:37Speaker 6: it's kind of cheesy to say the it factor, but
- 14:38Speaker 6: like it has that DNA that you want as a coach,
- 14:41Speaker 6: you look for and it's just like has a really
- 14:43Speaker 6: special bond. So you know, who knows what's going to
- 14:45Speaker 6: happen in this next series. But they have already stamped
- 14:50Speaker 6: their names in Tiger lore.
- 14:53Speaker 5: Uh, we've done.
- 14:53Speaker 3: A lot of talking up here, a Landra, I feel
- 14:56Speaker 3: like we need to throw you the microphone. You hadn't
- 14:58Speaker 3: had a chance maybe to get some of your feelings
- 15:01Speaker 3: out what you felt during the game last night.
- 15:03Speaker 9: I don't even know, like it was such an emotional
- 15:06Speaker 9: roller coaster because then you whenever you're down, but it's
- 15:11Speaker 9: the eighth and then like you see Bear Jones. I
- 15:14Speaker 9: was like, okay, come on, Bear, like you're We're gonna
- 15:16Speaker 9: do one or the other, and I'm gonna need you
- 15:17Speaker 9: to do the other.
- 15:19Speaker 8: And then he hit the home run and I was like,
- 15:21Speaker 8: oh my gosh, I was going.
- 15:22Speaker 9: Crazy, and then we went down and then the bottom
- 15:26Speaker 9: of the ninth inning was just some of the most
- 15:28Speaker 9: insane baseball that I've ever seen ever, And the melt
- 15:33Speaker 9: from Arkansas was almost impressive, because how do you mess
- 15:37Speaker 9: that up like that?
- 15:38Speaker 8: It just didn't.
- 15:39Speaker 9: And everybody was like talking about Beheva Alloy the entire time,
- 15:44Speaker 9: and you know what, they should have because he's a
- 15:47Speaker 9: really good player, and he was the only one that
- 15:50Speaker 9: I was really scared of on this team. I know,
- 15:51Speaker 9: he's not the one that hit the home run, but
- 15:53Speaker 9: be Heva Alloy is really good, but he's the one
- 15:56Speaker 9: that kind of messed.
- 15:57Speaker 8: It up for them. And even the third base Taylor,
- 16:00Speaker 8: Me and.
- 16:00Speaker 9: Taylor were like talking about the before the show, but yeah,
- 16:04Speaker 9: even the third basement, he still could have thrown it
- 16:06Speaker 9: to first, like Stephen Mylam was not even halfway down
- 16:09Speaker 9: the baseline whenever he caught the ball. So I don't know,
- 16:14Speaker 9: it was crazy. I don't I don't even.
- 16:17Speaker 8: Have words for it.
- 16:17Speaker 9: It was one of the most insane baseball games I've
- 16:19Speaker 9: ever seen, almost crazier than the Wake Forest game.
- 16:23Speaker 8: Like Skiings Louder Tommy walk On.
- 16:25Speaker 3: That game was just like pure elite baseball. Yeah, like pitchy, Yeah,
- 16:31Speaker 3: like the timely hitting that came at the end of
- 16:33Speaker 3: that game. Like this one was just drunk. Yes, Like
- 16:37Speaker 3: this was like it was like all the chaotic energy
- 16:40Speaker 3: that you could find bottled into half of an inning.
- 16:43Speaker 9: I was praying when Louise Hernandez went up there, because
- 16:47Speaker 9: then Steven Milom hit and then they got the lead
- 16:49Speaker 9: runner out, and then Louise Hernandez went up there and
- 16:52Speaker 9: I literally was like and I closed my eyes because
- 16:55Speaker 9: I couldn't watch.
- 16:56Speaker 8: I literally could not watch. And then he hit the
- 17:00Speaker 8: he hit the base hit, and I was like, and
- 17:03Speaker 8: then Bear Jones came up and I was like, oh
- 17:04Speaker 8: my god, it was crazy.
- 17:06Speaker 3: Another roller coasternother job of Jay Johnson, Yeah, changing the
- 17:11Speaker 3: lineup up where the guy that he changed comes up
- 17:15Speaker 3: with yet again another big kid, I mean again, so
- 17:19Speaker 3: much to get into so many final thoughts on this Arkansas,
- 17:23Speaker 3: like before we even think about getting to Coastal Carolina,
- 17:27Speaker 3: the buttons that Jay pushed.
- 17:30Speaker 2: Bringing in Jake Brown to pinch hit, which we'll certainly
- 17:33Speaker 2: get to.
- 17:34Speaker 3: Just stay locked in. Uh, we're still trying to get Joe.
- 17:37Speaker 3: It's Thursday. He's typically with us. Jay was kind of
- 17:40Speaker 3: busy last.
- 17:41Speaker 7: Night, but he didn't have a game to prep for tonight.
- 17:44Speaker 2: Well, I said it, I said it yesterday.
- 17:47Speaker 5: He said it yesterday the tea's. I was like, there's
- 17:48Speaker 5: no way.
- 17:49Speaker 3: If they win, right, I'm like, well, if they win,
- 17:51Speaker 3: we got a chance. If they lose, there's no chance
- 17:53Speaker 3: in hell they won.
- 17:55Speaker 2: He's here every Thursday. It's Thursday. I'm gonna try one
- 17:59Speaker 2: more time.
- 18:00Speaker 6: Well, I mean, if he's here every Thursday, then he's
- 18:02Speaker 6: got no excuses.
- 18:03Speaker 2: Exactly what I said. And I'm not even kidding.
- 18:07Speaker 6: You texting that I will no excuses. Coach coach number one.
- 18:13Speaker 3: Let's go now, Jay so locked in. He probably like
- 18:17Speaker 3: he'd probably come back with something way better than that.
- 18:21Speaker 3: So all right, we're gonna take a break more LSU Baseball.
- 18:25Speaker 2: You can hear some of the calls as well.
- 18:27Speaker 3: Uh, Taylor has pulled though some of the calls from
- 18:30Speaker 3: last night's game. We'll have all that for you. Wouldn't
- 18:33Speaker 3: we jump back here on OTV Off the bench all right,

- 20:16Speaker 2: Uh, I just got confirmation. Talk to the people. I'm
- 20:19Speaker 2: trying to set something up over here for Flynn.
- 20:21Speaker 5: Talk to the people.
- 20:22Speaker 6: Yeah, about Louis gonna rap?
- 20:27Speaker 5: Maybe what do you want to talk about?
- 20:29Speaker 2: Trying to get our guest.
- 20:32Speaker 4: I'm thinking the game last night. That's just my thoughts.
- 20:34Speaker 4: The baseball game, Yeah, the one that we want you
- 20:36Speaker 4: watched it?
- 20:37Speaker 6: Can I tell you all something? I'm so fired up
- 20:39Speaker 6: right now? This baseball life is amazing.
- 20:41Speaker 4: Yeah, some are saying a good guy.
- 20:45Speaker 7: In the South metal.
- 20:48Speaker 9: I always say, if you want to get into college baseball,
- 20:50Speaker 9: postseason college baseball is the best time to watch it. Like,
- 20:53Speaker 9: it is incredible.
- 20:55Speaker 8: It's my favorite postseason.
- 20:57Speaker 6: You're trying to become a baseball fan, it is convenient
- 21:00Speaker 6: if your team makes the College World Series and then
- 21:03Speaker 6: he goes three at three now in dramatic fashion. That
- 21:06Speaker 6: helps the fandom. It does helps you become a stitchhead.
- 21:12Speaker 6: I still think that term.
- 21:12Speaker 5: Is a little weird.
- 21:13Speaker 2: It's not.
- 21:15Speaker 6: Like that's what the stitches on the baseball. I'm I'm aware.
- 21:23Speaker 6: It's a little strange. Maybe it's like a base head.
- 21:26Speaker 8: I think.
- 21:27Speaker 6: I like, diamond head's not bad, not bad.
- 21:31Speaker 8: Isn't that a snake.
- 21:33Speaker 5: Back? There's a copper head mixed.
- 21:36Speaker 8: Both of them together.
- 21:37Speaker 2: There's a diamondback baseball team. Don't know if you heard
- 21:39Speaker 2: of them.
- 21:40Speaker 8: True kind of had a great picture at.
- 21:42Speaker 3: Some point a couple guy named Randy Johnson. It didn't suck,
- 21:49Speaker 3: you know.
- 21:49Speaker 4: Randy Johnson's a sports photographer jr.
- 21:53Speaker 5: Right. His logo is.
- 21:55Speaker 7: A bird exploding?
- 21:57Speaker 5: Is it really?
- 21:58Speaker 7: It is the coolest thing I'll pull.
- 22:00Speaker 5: Can we pull that logo up? All right? Uh?
- 22:04Speaker 2: I do have confirmation. I don't know the time yet,
- 22:08Speaker 2: but Jay Johnson.
- 22:09Speaker 5: Let's go the greatest coach of all time.
- 22:14Speaker 2: Eight o'clock. Just got it.
- 22:16Speaker 8: Let's go eight o'clock. J Johns eight.
- 22:18Speaker 2: O'clock, Jay Johnson. Let the people in socials know.
- 22:22Speaker 3: Actually I'll do it because I'll just put like something
- 22:24Speaker 3: very well, You do it, and I'll do it as well. Obnoxious,
- 22:27Speaker 3: very excited to catch up with Jay, who, as we said,
- 22:31Speaker 3: pushed all the right buttons, as always, pulled all the
- 22:34Speaker 3: right levers and Wow, that is a that is a logo.
- 22:37Speaker 2: It's a choice. Randy Johnson, Randy Johnson, there.
- 22:43Speaker 5: There's a few more feathers in real life.
- 22:45Speaker 2: Yeah, a couple more. I think he exploded.
- 22:48Speaker 8: Yeah, it was crazy.
- 22:50Speaker 6: Joey in the chat said that Flynn is spoiled on
- 22:52Speaker 6: the show for two weeks and this is happening.
- 22:54Speaker 5: Yeah it is.
- 22:55Speaker 2: Yeah, and you missed half that maybe because.
- 22:58Speaker 5: I joined the show two weeks ago. I don't know.
- 23:00Speaker 5: Some some are.
- 23:01Speaker 2: Asking nobody's asking that.
- 23:03Speaker 6: I also said a base head is for a people
- 23:06Speaker 6: that like the free base, free base, like diving or jumping.
- 23:11Speaker 9: Okay, I thought it was people that like dumb step
- 23:15Speaker 9: got to do stiff.
- 23:17Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 23:18Speaker 3: Look, he gonna get lost in sauce here. Sorry, let's
- 23:22Speaker 3: chase that squirrel. Let's get back to ja putting Jake
- 23:26Speaker 3: Brown in to pinch hit after Dave van Horn walks Pearson.
- 23:33Speaker 2: To get to a right handed hitter.
- 23:36Speaker 3: And do you think that Jay's gonna take Chris Stanfield
- 23:41Speaker 3: out of the game.
- 23:42Speaker 5: Probably not.
- 23:43Speaker 3: Like, if you're David Home, You're like, look, that's that's
- 23:46Speaker 3: a guy that's played well all season long, one of
- 23:49Speaker 3: the better hitters they had in sec play certainly as
- 23:52Speaker 3: far as average, he's a plus defender his speed.
- 23:56Speaker 2: I don't probably gonna maybe leaves him in.
- 23:59Speaker 3: Jay Quick, Clay, Jake Brown, you hit clean up the
- 24:02Speaker 3: other night against the right handed hitter. It's an easy
- 24:05Speaker 3: decision for me. Go get in the game, Go get
- 24:09Speaker 3: us two runs, and not only just the lineup and
- 24:13Speaker 3: how he's formatted it. And it always feels like the
- 24:15Speaker 3: guy that he moved comes up with the big hit.
- 24:18Speaker 3: But to do that, to bring Jake Brown into the
- 24:21Speaker 3: game gets two RBIs did he slip on the old
- 24:24Speaker 3: Little League Baseball still play that he did?
- 24:27Speaker 5: But what a move by Jay Johnson. Yeah, what a
- 24:31Speaker 5: huge batman.
- 24:34Speaker 6: Comes in there, mister clutch u Wandra Wandra you said
- 24:38Speaker 6: in our group chat, and it's amazing what.
- 24:40Speaker 5: Happens when the when the good hitters hit.
- 24:43Speaker 8: That was Taylor agreed, Taylor, Taylor, I.
- 24:47Speaker 4: Think Jake Brown should be in the lineup every day
- 24:49Speaker 4: like at this point, I don't care like the guy's clutch.
- 24:52Speaker 5: I get it.
- 24:52Speaker 4: Everyone's going to say you can't hit against lefties. You
- 24:55Speaker 4: don't know that if you don't let him do it,
- 24:56Speaker 4: like Jake Brown, lineup every day.
- 25:00Speaker 5: Maybe get a pinch runner in May.
- 25:04Speaker 8: I think that was a little.
- 25:08Speaker 6: It would we all laugh about Wait, we're we're to
- 25:10Speaker 6: the point we won, we can laugh about it. Maybe
- 25:12Speaker 6: do a couple of cone drills, maybe some agility drills.
- 25:16Speaker 5: Kind of got stuck in the muddy.
- 25:17Speaker 3: Look it definitely, it definitely would have worked if he
- 25:20Speaker 3: doesn't slip, like they had what they wanted.
- 25:23Speaker 2: And if you're if you're new to L s U.
- 25:25Speaker 3: Baseball and you don't know because my dad was asking
- 25:28Speaker 3: me this, you know, Jake Brown is very athletic. Jake
- 25:33Speaker 3: Brown is one of the fastest people on the team.
- 25:36Speaker 3: So like, you had the right guy, you had the
- 25:39Speaker 3: right play.
- 25:43Speaker 7: All right, what time do we have, Jay Johnson?
- 25:45Speaker 2: Eight o'clock?
- 25:48Speaker 7: I'm sending off the tweeting up forgotten. I didn't know
- 25:51Speaker 7: he else?
- 25:52Speaker 2: All right, man, you can get those multitasking skills up.
- 25:57Speaker 3: You got to be able to have three kids screaming
- 25:59Speaker 3: something at you and you just totally like tune it
- 26:02Speaker 3: out while you're doing something else. Like it's called multitasking. Yeah,
- 26:07Speaker 3: it's an elite skill. You gotta find a way to
- 26:10Speaker 3: do it.
- 26:11Speaker 6: So it's kind of hard to multitask sometimes when you
- 26:15Speaker 6: see squirrels.
- 26:17Speaker 3: Favorite moment from the game last night, of all of
- 26:20Speaker 3: all the moments that that you know, we saw your
- 26:24Speaker 3: favorite moment from the game mine, I'm gonna I'll start
- 26:27Speaker 3: it off. It is Jay Pinch hitting Jake Brown and
- 26:32Speaker 3: given the big d X sign to the Arkansas dugout.
- 26:35Speaker 3: Basically he didn't do it. I wish you would have
- 26:37Speaker 3: because that was exactly what had to happen. And Davan
- 26:44Speaker 3: Horn comes out there and you could tell he feels
- 26:46Speaker 3: like he got one over on LSU. Jason's out, Jake
- 26:49Speaker 3: Brown boom, two runs, Tigers take the lead.
- 26:54Speaker 8: That was a great moment for me.
- 26:56Speaker 4: It was not Jared Jones's winner. It was as Luis
- 27:00Speaker 4: Hernandez two run RBI to.
- 27:05Speaker 2: Tie it.
- 27:05Speaker 4: Yeah, Arkansas got deflated, like they showed the dugout. The
- 27:08Speaker 4: Arkansas players, you know, heading their hands and Dave van
- 27:11Speaker 4: Horn has that blank stare like are we really going
- 27:13Speaker 4: to throw this thing away again? Like when LSU tied it.
- 27:16Speaker 4: I'm like, this is this game is over. I don't
- 27:18Speaker 4: care if you end it now. I don't care if
- 27:19Speaker 4: you go into extra innings like you took Arkansas's best paunch.
- 27:22Speaker 4: You tied it like to me, that was like when
- 27:25Speaker 4: I knew like LSU was winning this game and.
- 27:28Speaker 6: You could tell them that ball was hit so hard. Yeah,
- 27:31Speaker 6: I mean it goes down as an air and it
- 27:33Speaker 6: looks bad on left fielder. But that ball had to
- 27:35Speaker 6: have been so hard to judge, especially in that moment.
- 27:38Speaker 6: But the dude, I mean, has he had like a
- 27:40Speaker 6: shoulder replacement. It's got like a titanium shoulder. That sucker
- 27:44Speaker 6: hit it. Yeah, it was probably one hundred and four
- 27:46Speaker 6: mile an hour off his shoulder. Good lord, that things
- 27:49Speaker 6: spun off there.
- 27:51Speaker 9: It would have been a tough play for the left
- 27:52Speaker 9: fielder to make anyway because he was diving for it.
- 27:55Speaker 8: But yeah, I'm with Taylor.
- 27:57Speaker 9: I think that was my favorite moment in the game
- 27:58Speaker 9: because you felt like it was over.
- 28:00Speaker 8: But just to give a.
- 28:00Speaker 9: Different answer, I mean, Zach Cowen, his performance was just
- 28:05Speaker 9: it was so good to see him back to his
- 28:07Speaker 9: regular form because you know he's been struggling the last
- 28:11Speaker 9: couple of games. Was the second start of the season,
- 28:14Speaker 9: and like we said earlier, you couldn't have asked more
- 28:18Speaker 9: than five and a third innings from Zach Cowen with
- 28:20Speaker 9: one earned runs and no walks, and it was just
- 28:24Speaker 9: yea great performance from Zach Cowen.
- 28:27Speaker 3: Jade Knut's performance is gonna get lost a little bit
- 28:29Speaker 3: as well. He comes in, he gives you an inning,
- 28:32Speaker 3: doesn't give up anything, has a strikeout as well.
- 28:34Speaker 2: Only Phase three batters, but did his job.
- 28:37Speaker 3: Like we can talk about Chase Shores, it was dominant
- 28:40Speaker 3: at times and then he kept going back to the
- 28:42Speaker 3: all speed pitch and Arkansas was ready for it. Jacob
- 28:46Speaker 3: Myers is not somebody that I didn't think he was
- 28:48Speaker 3: coming in in that situation. Now I realize he did
- 28:52Speaker 3: give up. The hit infield was in that's always going
- 28:57Speaker 3: to get through. But let's not forget he did strike
- 28:59Speaker 3: out two as well. Yeah, I kind of closed the door.
- 29:02Speaker 3: That was big, and at the time it didn't feel
- 29:05Speaker 3: like it was going to be anything because you were
- 29:07Speaker 3: down two runs. But him getting out of that and
- 29:10Speaker 3: not giving up any more even that was a big
- 29:13Speaker 3: for him, like a confidence boost and credit to Arkansas, right,
- 29:16Speaker 3: I mean, Jacob Myers is somebody that throws eighty two
- 29:19Speaker 3: percent fastballs and Arkansas got a breaking ball.
- 29:22Speaker 2: First pitch. You drive in two runs, that's just when
- 29:25Speaker 2: you tip your cap.
- 29:26Speaker 4: Yeah, it's everything though, Like Landon biitle, she's which we
- 29:30Speaker 4: finally got a correct pronunciation vityl.
- 29:32Speaker 7: She's not vityl, she's whatever.
- 29:34Speaker 4: Canfield Ohio's finest he was dealing last night, like nine
- 29:38Speaker 4: strikeouts typically, like when you're going against a guy like
- 29:41Speaker 4: that who's working and you don't have the run support,
- 29:43Speaker 4: like it would have been very easy for LSU to
- 29:45Speaker 4: lose this game.
- 29:46Speaker 7: Like it was overcoming that it was helping out.
- 29:48Speaker 4: Zach Cow and it was jade nude out of the bullpen,
- 29:51Speaker 4: like everything you needed to work did, Like you couldn't
- 29:54Speaker 4: have won this game any other way than how you
- 29:55Speaker 4: did last night with the way Bible sheets was going,
- 29:57Speaker 4: and you you found a way to do it.
- 29:59Speaker 6: That's amazing how sometimes these pictures in these moments have
- 30:03Speaker 6: just like these out of world performances because they just
- 30:08Speaker 6: it's it's the moment, it's playing in that stadium, it's
- 30:10Speaker 6: the it's the lights, it is the everything that surrounds
- 30:14Speaker 6: being in the College World Series. Just some people respond
- 30:17Speaker 6: to that in an extremely positive way and do something
- 30:20Speaker 6: that they're you know, haven't shown that they can do
- 30:23Speaker 6: in the past. So, uh, that is always the cool
- 30:27Speaker 6: thing about watching sports. It's like seeing the performances when
- 30:29Speaker 6: people just play out of their mind. And man, he did,
- 30:31Speaker 6: he did deal and it's you know, we were giving
- 30:33Speaker 6: us some props yesterday broke down his name everything that
- 30:37Speaker 6: dude was dealing. But but my favorite moment, like I'm
- 30:40Speaker 6: a I'm a simple man. My favorite moment from the
- 30:42Speaker 6: game is the the bear Jared Jones in the eighth inning,
- 30:47Speaker 6: just straight up launching it over the fence.
- 30:50Speaker 8: Y'all know it first pitch right or no?
- 30:53Speaker 5: It was first Poe uh, first pitch that right, And.
- 30:57Speaker 3: I was listening on the radio, so like, I think
- 31:00Speaker 3: it was first I'm trying to wiel that thing over
- 31:02Speaker 3: your flight.
- 31:03Speaker 5: But when you're down, I was.
- 31:05Speaker 2: On the Chafala base and just begging for it to
- 31:08Speaker 2: go over.
- 31:08Speaker 6: Yeah, so you're down and late in the game, the
- 31:12Speaker 6: nerves are high, tension is high, you know. I think
- 31:15Speaker 6: at the time, like Ianson's like was kind of like
- 31:18Speaker 6: warming up a little bit. We had the league, so
- 31:20Speaker 6: we're you know, what's gonna happen, what's gonna happen. Then
- 31:23Speaker 6: he steps up and like he struck out in a
- 31:26Speaker 6: big situation at bat before, and he gets up there
- 31:29Speaker 6: and like I said, I'm a simple man. I like
- 31:31Speaker 6: to see that ball go over the fence. So that
- 31:32Speaker 6: was our favorite moment. The Flynn family was going. We
- 31:35Speaker 6: were running around. Kids were kind of like, you know,
- 31:39Speaker 6: all like bedded down like in the living room and
- 31:41Speaker 6: with like we made a little palettes for them watching
- 31:43Speaker 6: the game. No, everyone was on their feet running around
- 31:46Speaker 6: high five and the little one she had no idea
- 31:48Speaker 6: what was going on, but she was excited.
- 31:50Speaker 3: Yeah, very excited. Everybody's yelling and it seems like it's
- 31:52Speaker 3: in a good way. So let's go a lot, a
- 31:55Speaker 3: lot to get to in the chat, a ton to
- 31:57Speaker 3: get to a lot of people asking if we saw
- 32:01Speaker 3: Ta Bob's video, and a lot of people saying we
- 32:03Speaker 3: need him a cameo. He came on yesterday, so if
- 32:06Speaker 3: you missed that, that's on you. Nobody did come on yesterday.
- 32:09Speaker 3: I did see his video and Katie and I were
- 32:11Speaker 3: laughing because he had a jersey.
- 32:13Speaker 5: He goes just jumping around, Yeah, just being t Bob.
- 32:17Speaker 2: It was awesome. Takes his shirt off, the jersey off, right.
- 32:20Speaker 3: And then he goes shirt off and then changes his
- 32:24Speaker 3: mind about halfway up his back.
- 32:27Speaker 2: You know, like shirt was coming undershirt right, there's an undershirt.
- 32:30Speaker 3: Shirt was coming off, he got to the middle of
- 32:32Speaker 3: the back and decided against it and then starts to celebrate.
- 32:35Speaker 2: I was like, he wanted to go shirt, I.
- 32:38Speaker 5: Wanted to go off, but he was like, oh, yeah,
- 32:39Speaker 5: the camera is rolling. Probably don't want to show this
- 32:42Speaker 5: dad Bob right now.
- 32:44Speaker 2: Oh, I know, I know Bob enjoyed that last night.
- 32:48Speaker 3: I know he's probably feeling it this morning, but I

- 35:19Speaker 5: throw it around there.
- 35:21Speaker 8: The way that that sounded at first.
- 35:23Speaker 2: Yeah, I know what you mean.
- 35:24Speaker 5: Yes, yes, hey, mental note there, I mean it's not Tuesday.
- 35:31Speaker 5: It would actually work works maybe after the show.
- 35:37Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, maybe we should also probably
- 35:40Speaker 3: we have started, but we should really really get this
- 35:44Speaker 3: thing started.
- 35:44Speaker 8: Oh yeah we should.
- 35:45Speaker 5: Huh, let's get us started started?

- 36:08Speaker 3: have started the show already where we're going to continue
- 36:10Speaker 3: to start this show. That is as LSU Baseball, and
- 36:13Speaker 3: that is thanks to as you see behind me, go
- 36:16Speaker 3: flow iv SPO.
- 36:18Speaker 2: Go flowiv dot com is the website.

- 36:56Speaker 5: on the Tigers. Good, Go Flow ivy.
- 36:59Speaker 3: All right, look, we're going to continue to talk LSU
- 37:02Speaker 3: baseball obviously in the job that they did last night,
- 37:07Speaker 3: and now after you finish it off and you don't
- 37:11Speaker 3: have to go another.
- 37:12Speaker 2: Game today, like everything's going to be available for you.
- 37:19Speaker 3: Evans, as far as you got you hit reset and
- 37:23Speaker 3: look to the uh look to the Mississippi State fan
- 37:26Speaker 3: in the chad that is going back and forth with
- 37:29Speaker 3: our beloved Tiger fans here calling it lucky.
- 37:32Speaker 2: I don't care what you call it.
- 37:33Speaker 5: That's fine.
- 37:34Speaker 3: Arkansas had to get twenty seven ounce and they got
- 37:37Speaker 3: twenty six, doesn't matter how it happened, doesn't matter what they.
- 37:43Speaker 2: Did, what you did, what you did, didn't do, what
- 37:46Speaker 2: they didn't do. Twenty seven ounts, twenty seven ounts.
- 37:49Speaker 5: Did you say Mississippi State fan? Yeah? I mean were
- 37:54Speaker 5: y'all unlucky? Why you mad?
- 37:56Speaker 10: Bro?
- 37:57Speaker 3: I'm just saying, like they're lucky, NAT. That program has
- 38:02Speaker 3: Look I this is not even about like lsu worsmiss
- 38:05Speaker 3: your State.
- 38:05Speaker 2: I'm even training.
- 38:06Speaker 3: I'm just saying like, when you play at this level
- 38:10Speaker 3: and you say like luck, it's like, okay, well you
- 38:11Speaker 3: could go back in different moments, like when Bear Jones
- 38:17Speaker 3: drops the ball at first base, I don't play get
- 38:19Speaker 3: you out of the inning. Arkshall scores two runs. So
- 38:22Speaker 3: that thing goes both ways. Like that's a baseball game.
- 38:25Speaker 3: L Shoe's got to get twenty seven, Arkansas's got to
- 38:28Speaker 3: get twenty seven, and you got to have more runs
- 38:30Speaker 3: than the other team, and if you don't get that done,
- 38:33Speaker 3: you lose the baseball game.
- 38:35Speaker 2: And we could go over seventeen different plays. Sure, the
- 38:39Speaker 2: ninth inning was chaotic as it possibly could be, but
- 38:43Speaker 2: there's moments in every game, certainly in baseball, where it's like, okay,
- 38:46Speaker 2: well they made that play, they made this play, they
- 38:49Speaker 2: didn't make that play, they didn't make this play. It
- 38:52Speaker 2: all comes together and the team that finds a way,
- 38:56Speaker 2: a team that puts pressure on the defense, a team
- 38:59Speaker 2: that continue to not just lay down. So I just quit,
- 39:03Speaker 2: but go up there and have that belief because there
- 39:05Speaker 2: is no clock in baseball. It doesn't run out. It
- 39:08Speaker 2: was a pitch clock, but it doesn't run out on you.
- 39:10Speaker 3: Like the game can't can't end because time right out
- 39:14Speaker 3: of the game, like in youth baseball, like that happens
- 39:16Speaker 3: sometimes not once you get to this level.
- 39:19Speaker 2: So I'm not look, did the plays happen?
- 39:23Speaker 3: They did, but there's moments for both teams that you
- 39:25Speaker 3: could look at and again LSU found a way and
- 39:28Speaker 3: they outduled and outlasted a very good Arkansas baseball team.
- 39:32Speaker 6: Yeah, the the notion of teams being lucky in sports
- 39:37Speaker 6: is kind of it's a it's kind of a cop out.
- 39:41Speaker 6: It's because teams work hard, they they bleed, they sweat,
- 39:46Speaker 6: they crowd, they do everything, and breaks happened for every team.
- 39:50Speaker 6: There's not one championship team that's ever won a championship
- 39:54Speaker 6: that didn't have either breaks go their way or something
- 39:57Speaker 6: happened where the other team was like, oh if this
- 39:59Speaker 6: didn't happenlah blah blah. That happens in every game. But
- 40:02Speaker 6: the good teams find a way to take advantage of
- 40:04Speaker 6: other team's mistakes. In every sport, we made mistakes, they
- 40:08Speaker 6: didn't take advantage of it in the way that LSU did.
- 40:12Speaker 5: So Arkansas makes mistakes. The good teams, Championship caliber teams.
- 40:17Speaker 6: Find a way to take another person's mistake and exploit
- 40:20Speaker 6: it and then make them pay for it.
- 40:22Speaker 5: That's what happened.
- 40:23Speaker 6: Maybe the only championship team that never had to get
- 40:25Speaker 6: lucky was twenty nineteen LSCU football team.
- 40:28Speaker 5: Maybe, but there's breaks that happened for everyone.
- 40:31Speaker 2: The championship that we won, Pitt had to beat West Virginia.
- 40:36Speaker 5: Well about thirty five things, I no, but like that's
- 40:39Speaker 5: the main one.
- 40:40Speaker 2: Like I didn't have faith that Chase Daniel was going
- 40:42Speaker 2: to go beat Oklahoma. I mean, come on, we know
- 40:45Speaker 2: how that was gonna play out.
- 40:47Speaker 3: But Pitt Shady McCoy like was like, they're one guy.
- 40:52Speaker 3: They had to go beat West Virginia and they did.
- 40:55Speaker 3: I don't care how it happened. I don't care what
- 40:57Speaker 3: the plays were to lead to said victory for the Panthers.
- 41:00Speaker 3: They got it done and then they gave us another chance.
- 41:03Speaker 3: And once they gave us another chance, we could have
- 41:06Speaker 3: played the seventy two Dolphins and Larry Zaka and the
- 41:09Speaker 3: boys were going down.
- 41:12Speaker 2: So we're sports and sports.
- 41:16Speaker 8: That would say mental error by Arkansas that. So it
- 41:20Speaker 8: just is what it is. And I was thinking about
- 41:22Speaker 8: this last night.
- 41:23Speaker 9: I feel like the College World Series, the tournament as
- 41:26Speaker 9: a whole, the way that it's set up and how
- 41:29Speaker 9: long it is and everything, it's perfect because you really
- 41:32Speaker 9: are getting the best of the best. Because Arkansas and
- 41:36Speaker 9: LSU and the other teams that played on the other
- 41:39Speaker 9: side of the bracket, you had the same amount of
- 41:43Speaker 9: like you were. You were both on your quote unquote
- 41:45Speaker 9: Sunday guys. You know, you both had to go deep
- 41:48Speaker 9: into your bullpen. So this is really the best of
- 41:50Speaker 9: the best because it shows depth. It like I don't know,
- 41:54Speaker 9: just call it luxture maybe a little bit. But also
- 41:58Speaker 9: Arkansas had to make that mistake and LSU had to
- 42:01Speaker 9: take advantage of it in the bottom of the ninth
- 42:03Speaker 9: and they did.
- 42:05Speaker 6: We can just like scrap the word luck. Yeah, I
- 42:09Speaker 6: hate when people say, hey, that was a lucky break.
- 42:12Speaker 6: When people ask me about like my career, Man, you
- 42:14Speaker 6: got lucky, like the hell I did. I worked my
- 42:17Speaker 6: ass off and when the opportunity came, because there were
- 42:22Speaker 6: few and far between, you take advantage of them. And
- 42:25Speaker 6: that is when opportunity meets preparation and other people who
- 42:29Speaker 6: don't know anything about anything, I think it's luck.
- 42:33Speaker 2: And our guy, Craig Hilling shut out.
- 42:34Speaker 3: Craig's good to see you back in the Bay four
- 42:37Speaker 3: check made a lot, a lot of great memes for
- 42:40Speaker 3: hanging with hester when you like, okay, so you have
- 42:44Speaker 3: a slip in left field, like Craig saying from Markansall, well,
- 42:47Speaker 3: Jake Brown slipped when he was trying to pull off
- 42:50Speaker 3: the play to get in a rundown and score the run.
- 42:53Speaker 2: Like that's a game. It's part of the game within
- 42:55Speaker 2: the game. It's a part of the nine ending story.
- 42:58Speaker 3: So Lis, you don't care what you call it, honestly,
- 43:01Speaker 3: but when the moment presented itself, you went and seize
- 43:05Speaker 3: the moment.
- 43:05Speaker 6: Yeah, they screwed up a double play at the end.
- 43:08Speaker 6: We screwed up a double play before that. Right second
- 43:12Speaker 6: Basement gets his feed turned around, doesn't make the double play.
- 43:15Speaker 5: Yeah, on that, like.
- 43:18Speaker 2: Daniel.
- 43:20Speaker 3: He has been so damn smooth all season long, Like
- 43:23Speaker 3: I'm not gonna he's gonna get a pass if anybody
- 43:25Speaker 3: does on.
- 43:27Speaker 5: That was awkward.
- 43:29Speaker 6: I looked like pitching it and then or turning the ships.
- 43:33Speaker 6: Then it's like here you go, all.
- 43:35Speaker 2: Right, let's sec a break.
