  Little is much when God is in it. There is not a place in Scripture where this
• 1:07
  is more evident than in Romans 12, verses 1-2.

  The Lord knows we don't have much, and nothing we have could impress Him.
• 1:15
  But what He asks of us is something very practical and something we all have.
• 1:19
  It is your body as a living sacrifice. Join us in this broadcast of Woman at

  Hello, and thank you for joining us in this broadcast of Woman at the Well Ministries.

  And we are in Romans chapter 12, verses 1 and 2.
• 1:38
  And as I begin to look at this, I am overwhelmed by the thought that I can give something to the Lord.
• 1:45
  You know, I think some of us sometimes get so caught up in ourselves that we think that
• 1:50
  our talents, which He has already given us, and the reason we are successful
• 1:55
  using them is because he allows us to have them and he guides us and and he
• 1:59
  gives us that opportunity but somehow we think that that's our gift to him,
• 2:04
  you see the fact that you may sing beautifully is a gift from god,
• 2:09
  the fact that you choose to be available and give that back to god now that's something.
• 2:16
  But you're being a great singer isn't really impressing to him,
• 2:21
  and the way that we can impress him or the way that we can put our arms around
• 2:25
  him and love on him and the way that we can give something to him is to give him ourselves,
• 2:31
  and i love that he explains that to us and he tells us in john in romans chapter
• 2:37
  12 verses 1 and 2 that giving him ourselves is our reasonable service,
• 2:43
  in other words that's what we should be doing it's not over and beyond our call
• 2:48
  it's not doing something special that's what we should be doing but what i want
• 2:53
  to call your attention to is how great god is.
• 2:58
  Because God says, I beseech you, therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God,
• 3:03
  that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God,
• 3:08
  which is your reasonable service.
• 3:10
  And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of
• 3:14
  your mind, that ye may prove what is good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

  He said you present your body and you can be.
• 3:24
  Proving what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of god,
• 3:29
  you give him all you got in yourself and it will be acceptable,
• 3:35
  and it will be good and it will be in the perfect will of god you know why that
• 3:40
  absolutely thrills me from the top of my head to the bottom of my feet because
• 3:45
  god will use what i've got,
• 3:47
  i don't have to have anything special i don't have to have a perfect body by
• 3:52
  this world standards i don't have to be the perfect 10 i don't have to have
• 3:56
  the right measurements i don't have to be a certain height
• 4:00
  i don't have to be a certain weight i don't have to have a certain hair color
• 4:03
  i don't have to be a certain age
• 4:05
  he said give me what you got.
• 4:08
  He would make it perfect and good and acceptable. Doesn't that just thrill you all over?
• 4:15
  Because you see, as we get older, things in our life change and things in our bodies change.
• 4:21
  But we still have the opportunity to give him what we got.
• 4:25
  And it will be as acceptable and as good and the perfect will of God as it was when we were vibrant.
• 4:31
  And when we didn't have the flaws we may currently have.
• 4:35
  Have and you may stand beside somebody who you think is more pleasing to look
• 4:38
  at and you may think that they're better,
• 4:42
  in their build or in their physique or in their mind or in their knowledge,
• 4:47
  but when you're giving yourself to god and they're giving themselves the god
• 4:51
  my friend you're one in him and you're in the perfect will of god and it is
• 4:56
  good and it is acceptable,
• 4:59
  i don't have to take a back seat to anybody when i come to god because what
• 5:05
  he said is give me what you got,
• 5:08
  you know what else i like about that i know what i got and buddy it isn't much you guys hear me,
• 5:17
  but if you were looking at me you'd probably say that don't impress me much.
• 5:23
  But you know what I can say? My body can be a living sacrifice,
• 5:28
  holy and acceptable unto God, which is just my reasonable service.
• 5:32
  And he'll take what you say, that don't impress me much, and he'll make it good,
• 5:39
  and acceptable and perfect will of God.
• 5:43
  And he will love it. And obedience is better than sacrifice.
• 5:48
  So if I'm living a life that's obedient and then I give him myself.
• 5:53
  That's going to impress him.
• 5:55
  That's going to show him my love. And he's going to accept it.
• 5:59
  He's not going to reject and say, go lose 20 pounds. Come back when you've done it.
• 6:05
  He's not going to send me to get a facelift if he wants me one.
• 6:08
  He'll give me one. If you've had one, that's your business. But all I'm saying
• 6:11
  is I can get to the throne just as I am.
• 6:17
  Because it's not about me. You see, it's about him.
• 6:21
  I can't do anything. Hey, listen up, neither can you.
• 6:26
  Only through and by Jesus Christ can we do anything. And we're on even ground, my friend.
• 6:32
  You may be richer than cream in this world's goods.
• 6:36
  And beside my bank account, you dwarf me. But when we're coming to the throne,
• 6:40
  friend, you better hang on tight and buckle up the Holy Spirit because you got
• 6:44
  a ride on your hands because I'm going full blast, straight forward, into the kingdom.
• 6:50
  And I'm going to spread my wings to fly as eagles as I wait upon him to work in me.
• 6:56
  Because I learned something a long time ago.
• 6:59
  I'm not going to impress you, but he's going to love me if I'm not about impressing you.
• 7:06
  And I'm not trying to impress him. I'm just giving him what I got.
• 7:11
  And he gave me exactly what I was supposed to have. and if I'm living a life
• 7:16
  that's following him and I'm doing the best I can to walk in his will and I'm
• 7:20
  allowing the Holy Spirit to guide me
• 7:23
  and I'm allowing him to strengthen me and I'm allowing him to supply my needs
• 7:27
  of course I can come boldly to the throne of God because he's invited me there
• 7:31
  and I'm not going to have iniquity in my heart because I'm in the will of God
• 7:35
  and so I have every reason to take him at his word that he will help me
• 7:40
  when I need it he will bless me he came to give me a life that was abundant
• 7:45
  he come that i might have life and he said i won't leave you or forsake you
• 7:50
  he likes to hang out with me not because i'm impressive but because through
• 7:54
  him i can do great things because little is much when god is in it and when
• 7:59
  i lay myself at his throne he can do great things,
• 8:03
  because i don't get in the way.
• 8:06
  Because guess what? I don't impress me much. Man, when the Holy Spirit works
• 8:12
  in me and works through me,
• 8:16
  this little body of clay hears all kinds of things that blesses my heart as he speaks.
• 8:24
  You see, he says, I beseech you. I urge you by the mercies of God.
• 8:30
  It's his mercy that lets me be a sacrifice. twice.
• 8:34
  I'm sure because of inflation it might have gone up a little bit but it wasn't
• 8:38
  but just a few years ago that if you burnt the whole body down and you took
• 8:42
  all the elements and minerals you is worth two dollars and 34 cents,
• 8:47
  that doesn't even get you a happy meal anymore i don't think two dollars and
• 8:52
  34 cents but with inflation we might be worth just a little bit more but my point is.
• 8:58
  Compared to a ruby or an ounce of gold,
• 9:03
  or a gram of platinum or a troy ounce of uranium pile of dust of me just really
• 9:10
  isn't much what he doesn't say here i urge you,
• 9:17
  to bring me the best of diamonds and to bring me the best of rubies no he doesn't say that,
• 9:23
  he says i beseech you therefore brethren by the mercies of god because because
• 9:28
  of his mercies that you present your bodies a living sacrifice i'm yours lord holy,
• 9:36
  walking in his ways shunning sin allowing the holy spirit to have free reign,
• 9:42
  acceptable unto god which is your reasonable service,
• 9:46
  he said i know all about the world's precious stones.
• 9:52
  I spoke them into existence.
• 9:55
  I know all about the world's most beautiful sights.
• 10:01
  I created them.
• 10:03
  But he didn't say that's what i have to bring in order to prove what's good,
• 10:10
  and acceptable and perfect will of god see if he would have done that he would have excluded me,
• 10:17
  short of a divine miracle i'm never going to have a chunk of ruby in my hand,
• 10:24
  or a hunk of gold or priceless diamond,
• 10:29
  so if he'd have said that's what it takes to prove good and acceptable for me
• 10:34
  to take it and for you to be in the perfect will of god he would have excluded me,
• 10:39
  but i serve a god of inclusion who said whosoever
• 10:44
  shall call upon the name of the lord shall be saved who said i come to give
• 10:48
  life and give up more abundantly who said i come to seek and to save those which
• 10:52
  were lost, which defined everyone as lost.
• 10:55
  In other words, he said, I came for you.
• 10:59
  And he knows what I have and what I don't have. And he's given me exactly what I need.
• 11:03
  Because what could be better than to stand in the presence of the Lord,
• 11:07
  in the center of his will, knowing that you are holy and acceptable of a righteous
• 11:12
  God, proving that he is good and that His works are mighty.
• 11:18
  The ruby doesn't impress him much. The gold is unnecessary.
• 11:24
  But oh, how he wants me. And he'll accept me as a sacrifice.
• 11:29
  Aren't you glad you serve a God that includes you?
• 11:33
  God just thrills me from the top of my head to the bottom of my feet.
• 11:37
  That the whole $2.34 plus inflation that I am is worthy to be acceptable to God.
• 11:47
  More priceless than rubies, more glorious than gold.
• 11:52
  Yeah, that doesn't impress him much. I'm just so excited that he called me,
• 11:59
  he saved me, he justified me, and he's glorifying me.
• 12:05
  And all he asks is that I walk in his will and in his ways.
• 12:09
  And then he said, hey, I'll give you the strength to do it, and I'll even provide what you need.
• 12:14
  Then I have the opportunity to be priceless. My body might be worth $2.34 plus
• 12:21
  current inflation, but my soul was priceless.
• 12:25
  It was worth the blood of the only begotten Son of God, who shed his blood that
• 12:32
  I might go free. But you know what?
• 12:36
  Some of us would get real caught up in this living sacrifice thing,
• 12:42
  And we'd rather pluck a few feathers from a dove, burn some incense, and go that route.
• 12:49
  Well, this side of the cross, that's not what he asked for. He said, I want you.
• 12:57
  You say you love me, keep my commandments. And by the way, they're not grievous. That's what he says.
• 13:02
  He says, you love me, feed my sheep.
• 13:06
  You love me, feed my sheep. One more time, he said, do you love me, feed my sheep.
• 13:12
  Living sacrifice means we have to,
• 13:16
  get outside of ourselves and inside of him we have to want what he wants and,
• 13:24
  be willing to be his hands extended and his feet.
• 13:29
  See through his eyes, and to love with his heart. You recall that when he went
• 13:34
  away, he said, Continue ye in my love.
• 13:37
  A little bit further down in Romans chapter 12, he says, Let love be without
• 13:42
  dissimulation, abhor that which is evil, and cleave to that which is good.
• 13:46
  Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love, and honor preferring one another.
• 13:51
  Rejoice in hope, patience, and tribulation, continuing instant in prayer.
• 13:56
  Distributing to the necessity of saints, given to hospitality bless them which
• 14:00
  persecute you bless and curse not
• 14:02
  rejoice with them that do rejoice and weep with them that weep be of the same
• 14:06
  mind one toward another mind not high things but condescend the men of low estate
• 14:10
  be not wise in your own conceits conceits
• 14:13
  recompense to no one evil,
• 14:16
  for evil provide things honest in the sight of all men,
• 14:19
  if it be possible as much as lieth in you live peaceably with all men dearly
• 14:23
  beloved avenge not yourselves but rather give place into wrath for it is written
• 14:27
  vengeance is mine i will repay saith the lord therefore thine enemy hunger feed him,
• 14:34
  if he thirst give him drink for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on
• 14:38
  his head be not overcome of evil but overcome evil with good a living sacrifice,
• 14:46
  it's incredibly easy,
• 14:48
  to smack down somebody who smacked you it's easy to fight back when people have
• 14:56
  wronged you it's human fleshly nature to defend yourself when someone is tearing you down.

  Don't let that happen. Don't let yourself be drawn into the very same trap that
• 15:10
  the person who's done that to you is in.
• 15:13
  No, you see, you're different because greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world.
• 15:17
  You're different because the Holy Spirit dwells in you and you should be different
• 15:21
  than those who don't have him.
• 15:23
  You're different because he came to law estate where you were and picked you
• 15:28
  up so that you might be where he is.
• 15:30
  And he has chosen to stay with you and to be present with you and to let his
• 15:35
  presence be in your life and to be a part of your life if you'll but let him,
• 15:42
  and he hasn't chosen you because of anything you are he chose you because he
• 15:47
  created you in his image and he loves you just the way you are,
• 15:52
  so much that he's willing to take what you give him no matter who you are.
• 15:57
  And call it good and acceptable some of you within the sound of my voice,
• 16:03
  may have chosen the rough road and you've done some incredible sinful wicked
• 16:08
  things in your life and you're thinking,
• 16:11
  well my body it bears the marks of shame and sin my life bars the scars of living the rugged life and,
• 16:20
  well maybe he created me in his image and before i marred it all up and made
• 16:24
  all these mistakes i could have brought it to him been the living sacrifice
• 16:29
  and he'd have caught it good,
• 16:31
  but because I didn't do that, well, it's too late for me.
• 16:35
  That's a lie of the devil beating you up.
• 16:40
  Says give me what you got he said in first john 1 9 that if we confess our sins
• 16:44
  he's faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness,
• 16:49
  he said i beseech you therefore brethren by the mercies of god you see i can't get to him on my own,
• 16:57
  i don't have any way to reach him on my own,
• 17:02
  but praise be to god when i knelt at that altar and i bent my heart at the throne
• 17:08
  of god and i confessed my sins and i realized that i couldn't get to heaven
• 17:12
  on my own and that i had a sin debt that could only be paid by jesus christ
• 17:17
  and jesus christ forgave me of my sins and he placed inside of me a permanent
• 17:22
  resident called the holy spirit who dwells inside of me who walks with me and
• 17:27
  talks with me who guides me and teaches me,
• 17:31
  then i can go to the throne because Jesus Christ never liveth to make intercession
• 17:36
  for me and he hangs out with me and so if I'm walking in the way that he asks
• 17:41
  if I'm living in his strength
• 17:43
  if I'm walking in his ways if I'm listening to his words and obeying him then
• 17:49
  when I come before him I am acceptable I am good,
• 17:54
  and I am in the perfect will of God and I've done nothing more than what was reasonable,
• 18:01
  You see, many of us,
• 18:02
  we get a little caught up in ourselves.
• 18:05
  May call it holier than thou you label it whatever you want to but the bottom
• 18:10
  line is we think we've done something for god and we're beginning to impress
• 18:14
  ourself with our righteousness and our religious stuff,
• 18:18
  and so the devil has crept in now and he's sort of distorted our minds so that
• 18:22
  god isn't getting any glory and we're not honoring and worshiping him we're
• 18:28
  just going through the motions and lifting ourselves up,
• 18:32
  well let's just stop that,
• 18:34
  that's not right that's not good that's not acceptable and it certainly isn't the perfect will of god,
• 18:42
  because all of those things are of the devil and none of them gives glory to
• 18:45
  god and our life is to be a living sacrifice that brings honor and glory to god,
• 18:51
  let's just think about it,
• 18:53
  he died on the cross of calvary gave his entire life so that me and you could go free.
• 19:01
  You really think you can repay that with a few prayers, a few hours of reading, and a title?
• 19:09
  No. We don't have to repay him. We have to love him.
• 19:14
  But don't get so caught up in yourself that you think you're doing a favor to
• 19:17
  God and you think you're impressing him.
• 19:20
  You see, what he's impressed with is your availability, your humility,
• 19:24
  the humbleness in which you come to him, the way you give back your gifts your
• 19:29
  gratefulness the way you worship.
• 19:32
  Reasonable stuff to be holy. By the way, in the last parting few moments that
• 19:40
  we have together, let me just remind you that holiness is not an option.
• 19:47
  The book of Leviticus, he says, be holy, for I am holy.
• 19:53
  He says in 2 Corinthians 5.17 that old things are passed away and all things
• 19:57
  are become new, and that we're new creatures in Christ Jesus.

  He said, I beseech ye brethren by the mercies of god trust in him do it in his
• 20:07
  strength and in his might and present your bodies a living sacrifice and where
• 20:11
  he goes you go where he says go you go do you remember abraham,
• 20:17
  he was on the way out before he even knew where he was going,
• 20:20
  oh my friends we've but scratched the surface of what it means to be accepted by god,
• 20:28
  but i want you to know no matter who tells you what the scriptures tells you
• 20:32
  the truth and he says whosoever shall call upon the name of the lord shall be
• 20:37
  saved and he says i beseech you brethren,
• 20:41
  you got it you have the invitation to come boldly to the throne present yourselves to him,
• 20:48
  and be a living sacrifice because you are good and acceptable only through and
• 20:53
  by the grace of jesus christ.
