Jesus’ sermon moved from a focus on self to a focus on relationship with others—condemning judgment and hypocrisy, but elevating the responsibility of brotherhood. Moreover, He emphasized the wonders of being in relationship with God, saying all one must do is ask, seek, or knock, for the Father gives good gifts. Only Jesus can help us do to others what we would have them do to us.
