- 0:15Speaker 3: get to we'll give you all the latest on Mom Donnie,
- 0:18Speaker 3: everything you need to know, where there is to know
- 0:20Speaker 3: right now. We'll get to Hunter Biden. We'll get to
- 0:24Speaker 3: affordability and a whole lot more. Lots to talk about today,
- 0:28Speaker 3: A freezing cold. This is the first well we had
- 0:31Speaker 3: one last week, but this is another one of those
- 0:33Speaker 3: winter days today. So I come into our beautiful, magnificent
- 0:38Speaker 3: iHeart headquarters, which is floor after floor after floor after
- 0:42Speaker 3: floor of studio's office. But on our sixth floor here,
- 0:46Speaker 3: the first thing I see is that Christmas tree. Why
- 0:49Speaker 3: is there a Christmas tree? It's not even Thanksgiving yet.
- 0:53Speaker 3: It's not just here. They're all over the place, these
- 0:55Speaker 3: Christmas trees. It's starting earlier and earlier and earlier, and
- 1:00Speaker 3: it's gotta stop. It's got to stop. The I told
- 1:03Speaker 3: you last week about that condominium place in Florida where
- 1:07Speaker 3: they made residents take down the Christmas decorations, told them
- 1:10Speaker 3: they're not allowed to put them up till after Thanksgiving.
- 1:13Speaker 3: Their rule is one holiday at a time, and it
- 1:17Speaker 3: makes sense. So President Trump, let me just explain this
- 1:21Speaker 3: Epstein stuff. This has been going on for quite a
- 1:25Speaker 3: while now. Donald Trump has nothing to do with Epstein.
- 1:28Speaker 3: There's no Epstein connection with Donald Trump. There's nothing there.
- 1:32Speaker 3: But he has been brilliantly playing the Democrats, letting them
- 1:37Speaker 3: build it up and build it up. If you're watching
- 1:39Speaker 3: the Sunday shows, it was all about Trump Epstein, Trump Epstein.
- 1:43Speaker 3: He's letting this build and build and build and build.
- 1:46Speaker 3: So it'll end up when they're all released, all these files,
- 1:50Speaker 3: it'll be another example of Democrats totally misleading the public,
- 1:54Speaker 3: totally conning them about something. Now, the Epstein situation is
- 1:58Speaker 3: pretty simple. He made himself a lot of money, showed
- 2:01Speaker 3: up in Florida Palm Beach, and being a zillionaire, suddenly
- 2:06Speaker 3: started hanging out at mar A Lago and there he
- 2:08Speaker 3: was all over mar A Lago. This is back in
- 2:10Speaker 3: the good old and they were talking twenty something years ago,
- 2:14Speaker 3: maybe twenty five years ago. And anytime anybody with a
- 2:19Speaker 3: lot of money starts spending it at mar A Lago
- 2:22Speaker 3: and throwing parties there, or back when Trump owned the plaza,
- 2:27Speaker 3: if somebody spent a fortune throwing an incredible gallot in
- 2:29Speaker 3: the ballroom, Trump would always show up. And you'll notice
- 2:34Speaker 3: even now if you follow all this stuff on Instagram,
- 2:36Speaker 3: when there's a big, big wedding or an event at
- 2:38Speaker 3: Mar A Lago where they rent the ballroom, Trump will
- 2:40Speaker 3: show up. He'll show up and wander through the crowd
- 2:42Speaker 3: taill ever. So that's how he met Epstein, That's how
- 2:44Speaker 3: I got to know him. Epstein had lots of women
- 2:47Speaker 3: and fun and celebrities, so Trump started hanging out with
- 2:50Speaker 3: him whenever he was at Mar A Lago or there'd
- 2:52Speaker 3: be a party in there. It was just at parties,
- 2:54Speaker 3: nothing else. A couple of times Epstein came up to
- 2:57Speaker 3: Trump's office showing off to some women that he could
- 3:00Speaker 3: him up there. Not underage, not under age, perfectly appropriate,
- 3:05Speaker 3: age appropriate women. And that was the relationship. Well, then
- 3:09Speaker 3: a couple of things happened at mar Alago. Epstein started
- 3:14Speaker 3: hiring some people away from Mar Alago mar A Lago's
- 3:16Speaker 3: staff members, so Trump told him to cut it out,
- 3:19Speaker 3: and he didn't. Also, at one point, Epstein went after
- 3:24Speaker 3: I think she was fifteen, a girl that worked in
- 3:27Speaker 3: the locker room. It was actually the daughter of a member.
- 3:30Speaker 3: It got back to Trump, and Trump immediately banned Epstein
- 3:33Speaker 3: from mar Alago. This is twenty something years ago banned him.
- 3:37Speaker 3: It's actually twenty four, twenty one years ago. Banned him
- 3:40Speaker 3: from mar Alago forever. I never spoke to him again,
- 3:43Speaker 3: cut off all ties with the guy. Now, as far
- 3:45Speaker 3: as these young young girls, that was Epstein's preference, that's
- 3:48Speaker 3: what Epstein liked, these young young girls. So it was him.
- 3:52Speaker 3: There's rumor that Prince Andrew also liked that and got involved.
- 3:55Speaker 3: But all these people hanging around with Epstein, it wasn't
- 3:58Speaker 3: about young girls for them. They were not pedophiles. That
- 4:01Speaker 3: was Epstein. But if you went to it. I was
- 4:05Speaker 3: at a few Epstein things. If you went to Epstein's parties,
- 4:07Speaker 3: there were women all over the place, but all ages,
- 4:09Speaker 3: all ages, not young girls. He had a lot of
- 4:12Speaker 3: his young girls working for him as Massuse's and if
- 4:15Speaker 3: you go to the party, they'd be checking the coats
- 4:17Speaker 3: and that kind of stuff. But Trump has no worries
- 4:23Speaker 3: at all about Epstein. It's going to be nothing in
- 4:25Speaker 3: those files that's going to bother Trump, and he knows that,
- 4:27Speaker 3: so that's why he's been stringing Democrats along. He's now
- 4:31Speaker 3: last night called for Republican release all the files, and
- 4:34Speaker 3: at some point you'll see it all. All the files
- 4:36Speaker 3: will come out.
- 4:37Speaker 4: Now.
- 4:37Speaker 3: The problem is, this is the only problem Trump might have.
- 4:40Speaker 3: There might be some big, big donors of his or
- 4:42Speaker 3: friends of his that are in the files, but if
- 4:45Speaker 3: it's in the files, it's not going to be young girls.
- 4:47Speaker 3: It's going to be them at these parties, maybe cheating
- 4:49Speaker 3: on their wife, that sort of stuff. That's like a
- 4:52Speaker 3: Bill Gates kind of situation. One has already come out.
- 4:56Speaker 3: Larry Summers, Treasury Secretary to Bill Clinton, President of Harvard,
- 5:01Speaker 3: very prestigious guy, a very married guy. But he was
- 5:04Speaker 3: carrying on with women, not young girls, older women. And
- 5:09Speaker 3: the emails have already emerged from the Epstein estate. They
- 5:13Speaker 3: found the emails where Larry Summers is and I don't
- 5:16Speaker 3: know why you would put this in writing, but these
- 5:19Speaker 3: guys put it in writing. He's emailing back and forth
- 5:22Speaker 3: about this woman that woman, and she won't see him anymore,
- 5:25Speaker 3: and they're talking about they're talking about his dating life,
- 5:27Speaker 3: and he's turning to Epstein for advice on how to
- 5:29Speaker 3: get this woman back. This is a married guy, so
- 5:32Speaker 3: that kind of stuff will come out. That's the worst
- 5:34Speaker 3: of it. But nobody Trump's has no Epstein problem at all.
- 5:39Speaker 3: Once it's all released, you'll see that one of the
- 5:43Speaker 3: people at Epstein hired away from Marlago was this infamous woman,
- 5:47Speaker 3: Virginia Giuffrey, who worked at mar Alago in the Spa.
- 5:53Speaker 3: It was Gallaine Maxwell that recruited her way into Epstein world.
- 5:58Speaker 3: She eventually killed her. She committed suicide not that long ago.
- 6:05Speaker 3: But she did a million interviews with law enforcement, US
- 6:08Speaker 3: Attorney FBI, all that sort of stuff, and she wrote
- 6:11Speaker 3: a book and in all the interviews and in the books,
- 6:14Speaker 3: she made it clear nothing ever happened with Donald Trump.
- 6:16Speaker 3: In fact, she said he was a very nice man
- 6:18Speaker 3: and always a total gentleman with her. And remember she
- 6:21Speaker 3: had worked for him too. So the US Attorney here
- 6:26Speaker 3: in New York, good guy Jay Clayton, he's been told
- 6:29Speaker 3: to oversee an investigation and to look into Democrats because
- 6:34Speaker 3: a lot of Democrats are going to have a problem.
- 6:36Speaker 3: Now you know who was really tangled up with Epstein
- 6:38Speaker 3: or the banks. Nothing to do with sex, but JP Morgan,
- 6:42Speaker 3: Chase and these other banks were really really close with Epstein,
- 6:47Speaker 3: working hard with him. The reason they did that Epstein
- 6:50Speaker 3: had billions of dollars that he was working with and
- 6:54Speaker 3: he had to put it somewhere, so they wanted it
- 6:56Speaker 3: in their bank because they can make a fortune having
- 6:59Speaker 3: his bills in their banks. So JP Morgan chasing. The
- 7:02Speaker 3: other banks were very nice to Epstein, and these are
- 7:06Speaker 3: the same banks that d banked Donald Trump threw him out,
- 7:10Speaker 3: refused to take his business. And if you're a major corporation,
- 7:14Speaker 3: you can't exist without banks. You have to have banks
- 7:17Speaker 3: for everything. So that was just disgusting the way they
- 7:21Speaker 3: d banked. It wasn't just Trump, other conservative companies. So
- 7:24Speaker 3: they deserve everything they're getting with this Epstein stuff. Now,
- 7:28Speaker 3: who else will have a problem A lot of celebrities.
- 7:30Speaker 3: George Stephanopolis will have a big problem with George Sloppadopolis,
- 7:35Speaker 3: Katie Couric. These are some of the celebrities that were
- 7:37Speaker 3: at Epstein's house having dinner with them. You know, when
- 7:41Speaker 3: you see the ABC Sunday Morning Show this week make
- 7:43Speaker 3: a big deal out of Epstein, they failed to mention
- 7:46Speaker 3: George Stepanopolos at Epstein's house having dinner with him. Now,
- 7:50Speaker 3: when asked about it, Stephanopoulos gives you this ridiculous explanation.
- 7:56Speaker 3: I didn't know who he was. I had no idea
- 7:58Speaker 3: who he was. I had no idea who he was.
- 8:02Speaker 3: I should have done my due diligence. Is Stephanopoulois's quote, Well,
- 8:07Speaker 3: the guy's a news broadcaster, host of a news show,
- 8:11Speaker 3: supposedly a journalist and a newsman. They didn't know Jeffrey
- 8:14Speaker 3: Epstein was. Now, this is after Epstein was convicted of
- 8:19Speaker 3: being a pedophile. This was trafficking the miners prostitution. Epstein
- 8:24Speaker 3: was already convicted and had gone to prison for it.
- 8:27Speaker 3: George Stephanoppois, I had no idea he was. I should
- 8:30Speaker 3: have looked into it. Well, I knew who he was.
- 8:33Speaker 3: You probably knew who he was. You probably read about it,
- 8:35Speaker 3: the guy in Florida that got convicted. Of course, you
- 8:38Speaker 3: read about this guy's a professional newsman on a network,
- 8:42Speaker 3: claiming you didn't know about it. There is this clip
- 8:44Speaker 3: running around the internet right now of Katie Couric. She's
- 8:47Speaker 3: on with what's the Bravo guy's name, Andy Andy Cohen.
- 8:52Speaker 3: She's on the Bravo show, and good for Andy Cohne
- 8:54Speaker 3: He said, the hell were you doing at Jeffrey Epstein's
- 8:56Speaker 3: house having dinner with him? So she said, well, I
- 9:00Speaker 3: didn't know who he was. I probably shouldn't. Remember she
- 9:04Speaker 3: was the anchor of the CBS Evening News, that's one
- 9:08Speaker 3: of the top news jobs in the world. And she
- 9:10Speaker 3: didn't know who Jeffrey Epstein was. This is after he
- 9:12Speaker 3: was in prison, this is after he'd been convicted, after
- 9:15Speaker 3: he went to jail. I didn't know who he was.
- 9:18Speaker 3: I guess I should have invested. First of all, who
- 9:21Speaker 3: goes to anybody's house and you don't know who they are?
- 9:25Speaker 3: Have you ever been to a house I'd had dinner
- 9:26Speaker 3: with somebody and when you're leaving, who is it? I
- 9:30Speaker 3: don't know. I have no idea who the guy is. Well,
- 9:32Speaker 3: I just say, you having dinner in his house? Yeah,
- 9:35Speaker 3: I don't.
- 9:35Speaker 5: Know who he is.
- 9:36Speaker 3: Even if somehow you were that stupid, that ignorant that
- 9:40Speaker 3: you didn't know who he was after spending the evening
- 9:42Speaker 3: at his house, wouldn't you then have some idea of
- 9:45Speaker 3: who he was? So, Katie Kirk, I didn't I should
- 9:48Speaker 3: have checked. Now, she uses the excuse that Prince Andrew
- 9:52Speaker 3: was going to be at the dinner and that Megan
- 9:56Speaker 3: Markle and Prince Harry were going to become a big,
- 9:59Speaker 3: big story was big Royal waves. She said, I felt
- 10:02Speaker 3: I should get to know Prince Andrew. He could help
- 10:04Speaker 3: me get the exclusive. It doesn't work that way. You
- 10:08Speaker 3: just you don't need to go to somebody's house and
- 10:11Speaker 3: you can start working the story without that. So a
- 10:14Speaker 3: lot of people like Stephanopoulos, Katie Kirk are going to
- 10:16Speaker 3: have a big, big Epstein problem. You know, there's a
- 10:21Speaker 3: woman in Congress, Stacey Plasket. She's a Democrat. Now there's
- 10:27Speaker 3: a lot of files being released from the Epstein estate,
- 10:30Speaker 3: and this Epstein would text like crazy with people. But
- 10:34Speaker 3: apparently this Democrat congresswoman is texting back and forth with Epstein.
- 10:39Speaker 3: And it's during the hearings. You remember they had hearings
- 10:41Speaker 3: on Trump. Was it Michael Cohen or something? It was
- 10:45Speaker 3: Michael Cohen. There were these hearings going on and they're
- 10:48Speaker 3: asking questions, you know, they take turns each congress person
- 10:52Speaker 3: on the committee. Well, they're about to come to the
- 10:54Speaker 3: Stacey Plasket in the during the hearings, she's texting Epstein,
- 10:59Speaker 3: who's watching it live on TV. What should I ask him?
- 11:02Speaker 3: You've been watching the testimony. What did they leave out?
- 11:04Speaker 3: What should I? And Epstein is texting her questions to
- 11:08Speaker 3: ask and at one point the witness is talking and
- 11:11Speaker 3: he mentions Rona. So this dumb congresswoman texts Epstein is
- 11:16Speaker 3: what's Rona? Is that an acronym for something? And Epstein
- 11:20Speaker 3: text back, No, that's Rona, his assistant, his chief of staff,
- 11:24Speaker 3: and he said, Rona is the keeper of the secrets.
- 11:27Speaker 3: Dig into Rona. This is this congress woman during the hearings,
- 11:30Speaker 3: contexting with Epstein. So these democrats were very, very very
- 11:35Speaker 3: close to Epstein. Rona, by the way, is Rona graft.
- 11:40Speaker 3: Who's the nicest woman, the most decent, honest. There was
- 11:43Speaker 3: nothing bad there, So I don't know what Epstein was
- 11:46Speaker 3: talking about. And the other thing, if you start reading
- 11:48Speaker 3: through the emails, Epstein had nothing to do with Trump
- 11:51Speaker 3: after two thousand and four, nothing, no connect for twenty years.
- 11:56Speaker 3: He didn't know Trump at all, but a lot of
- 11:58Speaker 3: these people think he still did. So you see these
- 12:00Speaker 3: very very powerful, big people are texting and emailing Epstein
- 12:04Speaker 3: right up until the end during the first Trump term.
- 12:08Speaker 3: I'm going to Washington to meet with the present What
- 12:11Speaker 3: should I say, or a meeting with this official in
- 12:14Speaker 3: the White House, and Epstein is texting back as if
- 12:17Speaker 3: he's connected to Trump, which he wasn't at that point,
- 12:20Speaker 3: giving advice, well he likes this, he doesn't like this,
- 12:23Speaker 3: or don't see Jared, make sure you see this person.
- 12:25Speaker 3: Epstein didn't know anything. He was just conning these people
- 12:28Speaker 3: like crazy. Now here's another important point to remember. The
- 12:32Speaker 3: Biden administration had these Epstein files for four years. The
- 12:38Speaker 3: Biden administration looked through, carefully inspected everything in the Epstein
- 12:43Speaker 3: files for four years. They couldn't find anything that would
- 12:47Speaker 3: hurt Trump. They were looking for it because they wanted
- 12:49Speaker 3: to hurt Trump. They wanted to arrest him, prosecute him,
- 12:54Speaker 3: do whatever they could to stop him. They looked through
- 12:56Speaker 3: the files. They couldn't find anything in there that would help.
- 13:00Speaker 3: That's why you never heard about the Epstein files for
- 13:03Speaker 3: the whole four years of Biden. There was nothing in
- 13:05Speaker 3: there that hurt Trump. And this is the way this
- 13:08Speaker 3: all works. Look at these democrats yelling and screaming, demanding
- 13:12Speaker 3: we must see the Epstein files. Well, how come you
- 13:15Speaker 3: didn't say word for four years? How come you didn't
- 13:18Speaker 3: want to see him in twenty twenty four. Why didn't
- 13:20Speaker 3: you want to see him in twenty twenty three? How
- 13:22Speaker 3: come in twenty twenty two you never asked to see him?
- 13:25Speaker 3: Twenty twenty one, you never mentioned it. It's the same
- 13:29Speaker 3: thing with the media. You know, you hear about it
- 13:31Speaker 3: is the affordability crisis. Affordability crisis. Inflation under Biden hit
- 13:37Speaker 3: nine percent, It averaged five percent, but it hit nine percent.
- 13:41Speaker 3: None of these people, the same Democrats, the same media,
- 13:44Speaker 3: never mentioned affordability. It never came up pro check for
- 13:48Speaker 3: four years, never mentioned it at nine percent. Now it's
- 13:52Speaker 3: two point five percent. That's all they can talk about,
- 13:55Speaker 3: the affordability crisis, two point five percent. Trump was at
- 14:00Speaker 3: about Epstein last night.
- 14:01Speaker 1: They're using Jeffrey Epstein as a deflection from the tremendous
- 14:06Speaker 1: success that we're having as a party.
- 14:08Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, Actually, the Epstein's stuff, you could also call
- 14:12Speaker 3: it operation change the subject. That's what it's all about.
- 14:16Speaker 3: It sounds good, it sounds but again Trump has been
- 14:19Speaker 3: setting them up and brilliantly. Hey, President Trump said he
- 14:23Speaker 3: will meet with Mom Donnie. Mom Donnie said he will
- 14:25Speaker 3: meet with Trump. Looks like the meeting will take place
- 14:28Speaker 3: in Washington, d C. We'll get into it in detail
- 14:31Speaker 3: a little later. Also, Mom Donnie has talked with Jessica
- 14:37Speaker 3: Tish again. They spoke over the weekend. Hopefully she'll stay.
- 14:43Speaker 3: The fire commissioner's great guy, Robert Tucker. He's already quit
- 14:46Speaker 3: and left, but he's got a huge business he can
- 14:48Speaker 3: go back to, and I don't think he wants anything
- 14:50Speaker 3: to do with Mom Donnie. Jessica Tish will see if
- 14:52Speaker 3: she stays. Well, there's a lot of Mom Donnie stuff.
- 14:56Speaker 3: We'll get into it a little later. Lots to talk about,
- 14:59Speaker 3: and we'll take some call next. Eight hundred three two
- 15:02Speaker 3: one zero seven ten is the number eight hundred three
- 15:06Speaker 3: two one zero seven ten.
- 15:09Speaker 1: If you're listening to Mark on the iHeartRadio app, save
- 15:12Speaker 1: time and tap the preset button. Now. Now back to
- 15:15Speaker 1: the Mark Simone show on woor oh.
- 15:19Speaker 3: No, there's more of that Christmas stuff. Well, you got
- 15:24Speaker 3: to be honest. We have to admit next week at Thanksgiving.
- 15:27Speaker 3: Next week is Thanksgiving. Anyway, let's take some calls. Let's
- 15:31Speaker 3: go to uh D in Miami. D How you.
- 15:33Speaker 6: Doing, Hello, Yes, good morning, sure, Yes, I have a
- 15:38Speaker 6: question I'd like to ask you, sir, Go ahead, what
- 15:40Speaker 6: do you think will happen if Africa was cut off
- 15:43Speaker 6: is uranium export to the United States in the western world.
- 15:47Speaker 3: Well, that could affect my iPhone battery. That would be
- 15:50Speaker 3: something would be terrible.
- 15:51Speaker 6: That's what I think. I think the African county A
- 15:55Speaker 6: you're gonna start, you know, to do because if this
- 15:58Speaker 6: man is going to continue in this part, SUSI.
- 16:00Speaker 3: Are we talking about Trump?
- 16:03Speaker 5: Of course, sir.
- 16:04Speaker 3: Oh well, but I also remember also for a minute,
- 16:10Speaker 3: please no, I also remember at the same time, it
- 16:12Speaker 3: would be the end of the African economy since that's
- 16:15Speaker 3: what they do for a living is sell us uranium,
- 16:17Speaker 3: and without that they'd go broke pretty fast. So let's
- 16:20Speaker 3: go to Bob and new Erschelle, Bob, how you doing.
- 16:25Speaker 3: Wait a minute, Bobby are there? Nope, we lost them.
- 16:30Speaker 3: Let's uh, we got them. Go ahead.
- 16:34Speaker 6: I'm sorry.
- 16:35Speaker 4: I know you're a big Blue Bloods fan. My wife
- 16:37Speaker 4: got me watching and I got a bit. It's a
- 16:38Speaker 4: good show, and I understand that you have to suspend
- 16:40Speaker 4: reality to a certain degree for these kind of shows.
- 16:42Speaker 4: But what would you in your opinion, would you say
- 16:44Speaker 4: a more unrealistic one of the Reagans being involved in
- 16:47Speaker 4: the biggest case of the city every week, or Danny
- 16:50Speaker 4: Reagan have nothing but smoking hot partners and his wife
- 16:52Speaker 4: not having a problem with it.
- 16:54Speaker 3: Well, these are very good questions. I love Blue Bloods.
- 16:57Speaker 3: I still watch it and reruns. Every Wednesday is a
- 16:59Speaker 3: blue Blood marathon. I'd love Blue Bloods. It's the most
- 17:03Speaker 3: unrealistic cop show ever. First of all, Len carry You
- 17:07Speaker 3: plays Tom Selick's father. These two guys are the same age.
- 17:12Speaker 3: There's like a one year age between these two guys.
- 17:15Speaker 3: Makes no sense at all. There's all kinds of technical things,
- 17:18Speaker 3: like the police commissioner does not wear a uniform, which
- 17:21Speaker 3: Tom Sellick does at times in the show. Also, Danny
- 17:24Speaker 3: Reagan every week is involved in a massive gunfire, massive
- 17:30Speaker 3: shootout every week. I've asked three commissioners, has there ever
- 17:35Speaker 3: been a cop that's in a shootout every week? And
- 17:38Speaker 3: they all said if there was, I'd pull him off
- 17:40Speaker 3: the street immediately. We'd never be able to do that. Also, well,
- 17:45Speaker 3: we could go on and on. It's very unrealistic, but
- 17:48Speaker 3: despite that, it's a great show. You know, Like, if
- 17:50Speaker 3: you want to go back and watch NYPD Blue n
- 17:52Speaker 3: WHYPD Blue is probably the most realistic cop show. And
- 17:55Speaker 3: I started watching Boston Blue the spinoff with Danny Reagan.
- 17:59Speaker 3: I gotta admit it. It's pretty good. They it's it's very,
- 18:03Speaker 3: very different from Blue Blood. They've kept a couple of
- 18:06Speaker 3: factors there, a couple of little things, but it's very
- 18:09Speaker 3: different and it's a great show. Let's go to Mike
- 18:12Speaker 3: and Florida. Mike, how you doing.
- 18:14Speaker 7: Good morning, Mark, Yes, Mike, I was laughing when you
- 18:18Speaker 7: were talking about that Florida h O Way that was
- 18:21Speaker 7: putting up the that's cracked down on the Christmas decorations.
- 18:24Speaker 2: I live in one of these so called active fifty
- 18:27Speaker 2: five communities and it's neither over just over fifty five
- 18:31Speaker 2: or active unless you consider majong a contact sport. But
- 18:35Speaker 2: they can't wait and put up those stinking Christmas decorations.
- 18:40Speaker 2: The irony is they're all asleep by six o'clock that
- 18:42Speaker 2: they don't even get to see the lights lit up.
- 18:45Speaker 2: And they're the most decrepit looking things that they've been
- 18:49Speaker 2: in the back of their garage. You know that they
- 18:51Speaker 2: lived in Michigan and they dragged down here and I'm
- 18:53Speaker 2: gonna put you know in their follow liying like there's
- 18:55Speaker 2: little kids around and it's.
- 18:58Speaker 6: It's so pathetic. I'm not against Christmas.
- 19:00Speaker 2: It's great, but it's the forced joy is like ludicrous.
- 19:06Speaker 7: You can't wait to put them up.
- 19:07Speaker 3: A lot of pathetic things about Florida. The most pathetic
- 19:09Speaker 3: is when you people in Florida try to celebrate Christmas.
- 19:12Speaker 3: It doesn't look right. Palm trees and Christmas don't go together.
- 19:15Speaker 6: No, not at all.
- 19:17Speaker 2: It's eighty five degrees and they're allaw lie, Yeah.
- 19:20Speaker 3: It doesn't work, all right, Mike, thanks for calling. You know,
- 19:23Speaker 3: it's better to live in one of these condo communities
- 19:25Speaker 3: or something like that, because, uh, you know, everything's taken
- 19:29Speaker 3: care of. You've got your own house, you got to
- 19:31Speaker 3: find your own plumber, you got to find your own
- 19:33Speaker 3: people to fix it. It's so much easier in a condo,
- 19:36Speaker 3: one of those complexes, one of those communities. But then
- 19:40Speaker 3: you got the board. You know, it's always little old
- 19:42Speaker 3: ladies with nothing to do who go on this board
- 19:45Speaker 3: and then run around on patrol, enforcing every little rule.
- 19:49Speaker 3: Let's go to Dave in Chicago. Dave, how you doing,
- 19:52Speaker 3: good morning, Mark.
- 19:53Speaker 8: I'm doing very well, Thank you.
- 19:55Speaker 4: Mark.
- 19:55Speaker 8: I'm just beginning to read Love Johnny Carson by Mark Malcolm.
- 19:59Speaker 3: Oh, it's the definitive book on Johnny Carson. It's the
- 20:03Speaker 3: greatest book ever in Johnny Carson just came out. We'll
- 20:06Speaker 3: have the author on in the next hour.
- 20:07Speaker 6: Go ahead, Thank you.
- 20:10Speaker 8: I noticed you've been quoted numerous times in the book.
- 20:14Speaker 8: I flipped through it quickly. But I have a question,
- 20:17Speaker 8: if I may. It says you had said that the
- 20:20Speaker 8: Midwest is very important to the Tonight Show and that's
- 20:23Speaker 8: what Johnny believes. Could you please explain? And lastly, Mark,
- 20:28Speaker 8: my second question is did Johnny's guest hosts follow that policy?
- 20:33Speaker 2: Well?
- 20:34Speaker 3: A couple of things about the Midwest. One a great analyst,
- 20:38Speaker 3: show business analyst showed that all the great talk show
- 20:42Speaker 3: hosts were from the Midwest, Johnny Carson, David Letterman, all
- 20:48Speaker 3: these sorts. You could go down a whole list. But
- 20:52Speaker 3: the guests, we're all from New York. All the great
- 20:55Speaker 3: comedians are from Brooklyn or you know, New Jersey, or
- 20:58Speaker 3: they were all local New York. But in their own
- 21:02Speaker 3: city they couldn't be the host. It was always the
- 21:04Speaker 3: Midwesterner that had to be the host of the show.
- 21:08Speaker 3: And Johnny Carson. One of the valuable lessons he taught people.
- 21:10Speaker 3: He told me about this. He always taught this lesson.
- 21:14Speaker 3: The battle is won in the central time zone. It's
- 21:17Speaker 3: a very important rule. Don't try to appeal to like
- 21:19Speaker 3: elite New York or La or Beverly Hills. Always try
- 21:23Speaker 3: to appeal to the middle. And hey, we don't have
- 21:26Speaker 3: much time, but let's go to Vincent in Brooklyn. Vincent,
- 21:28Speaker 3: how you doing?
- 21:30Speaker 5: I'm doing good Mark, Good morning matter Mark. I hope
- 21:33Speaker 5: us Jessicatish does not take the job with Zora Mundani
- 21:39Speaker 5: finish out her term. She's doing a great job. She
- 21:43Speaker 5: does have a business to go back to. And let
- 21:46Speaker 5: Zora Mandani's diz that were on his political posts. He
- 21:52Speaker 5: just got his first name, zorn Well, let the letter
- 21:55Speaker 5: Z become the new Scholart letter. Let him hang by
- 22:00Speaker 5: his own petard. And another thing, Kathy Hkle is thinking
- 22:04Speaker 5: about flip flopping on the corporate taxes so Mandamie could
- 22:08Speaker 5: have his free daycare. Don't do it, stupid, Hoko. You
- 22:13Speaker 5: could attract Jersey business to New York. They're paying eleven
- 22:18Speaker 5: point nine, we're charging seven point nine. If she had
- 22:22Speaker 5: any sense of any brains in her head, she could
- 22:26Speaker 5: use that as a selling point to draw the corporate
- 22:30Speaker 5: head quality brains.
- 22:32Speaker 3: It's backbones. She has no backbones. She's afraid of getting primary.
- 22:35Speaker 5: Well, that's what Michael Goodwin's article talked about. She doesn't
- 22:40Speaker 5: have any backbone. But please, mistache, do not take the job.
- 22:45Speaker 5: Let it go to Let let disease for Zoran become
- 22:49Speaker 5: the new Scarlar letter. You like Trump business, when you
- 22:54Speaker 5: plan you come back and then you could wipe the
- 22:56Speaker 5: floor with him.
- 22:57Speaker 3: All right, Vincent, great call, Hey, when we come back.
- 23:00Speaker 3: Michael Goodman's out here this week, but we'll talk to
- 23:02Speaker 3: the brilliant calumnist Liz Peak. We'll talk about Mom, Donnie
- 23:05Speaker 3: and Hoaklan and all that next on seven to ten war.
- 23:10Speaker 1: He's more Mark. He's a Mark Simone show on SEVENTENR.
- 23:18Speaker 3: Well, Liz peak brilliant column lists, you know, besides her column,
- 23:21Speaker 3: besides all the TV. You can also check out her website.
- 23:24Speaker 3: It's one of the best news sites with all sorts
- 23:26Speaker 3: of great stories every day. Lizpeak dot com lizpeak dot com,
- 23:32Speaker 3: check it out. Liz Peak.
- 23:33Speaker 9: How you doing, good morning, I'm terrific. Thank you.
- 23:37Speaker 10: How about you?
- 23:38Speaker 3: I'm good. Let's see President Trump says he will meet
- 23:41Speaker 3: with Mom Donnie. Mom Donnie says he'll go to Washington
- 23:44Speaker 3: meet with him. How do you think that would go?
- 23:48Speaker 9: Look, I think that's actually a good idea on both
- 23:50Speaker 9: of their parts. To have New York City basically be
- 23:54Speaker 9: orphaned or estranged from the mothership, the federal mothership doesn't
- 23:59Speaker 9: really help anybody, right. I can't imagine that Mom Donnie
- 24:04Speaker 9: and Donald Trump will have much in common or much
- 24:07Speaker 9: common ground, let's put it that way.
- 24:10Speaker 10: But I think it's a good idea.
- 24:12Speaker 9: And look, it's one of the first things that this
- 24:16Speaker 9: radical thirty four year old anti Semite has said. That
- 24:21Speaker 9: makes them sound like a slightly normal person. So that's
- 24:24Speaker 9: very welcome.
- 24:25Speaker 3: Right, Yeah, they do have something in common. They're both
- 24:28Speaker 3: were these outsiders who came in and just crushed these
- 24:32Speaker 3: political dynasties and beat them. Do you think you know
- 24:35Speaker 3: Trump could be good one on one sometimes?
- 24:38Speaker 10: Yes he can, Yes he can.
- 24:40Speaker 9: But Mark, yes, I've seen this idea before that they
- 24:43Speaker 9: have in common, that they're outsiders. Let's remember that Donald
- 24:46Speaker 9: Trump had decades of actual work experience, actually built things,
- 24:52Speaker 9: created wealth, and in the process, let's face it, worked
- 24:57Speaker 9: with a lot of city governments and municipas and state
- 25:01Speaker 9: governments in trying to get various projects underway, get them completed,
- 25:06Speaker 9: et cetera. Mom Donnie has zero experience of any value whatsoever.
- 25:11Speaker 9: All he has is a big smile and you know,
- 25:15Speaker 9: a resume as a community activist.
- 25:17Speaker 10: I don't put them in the same boat at all.
- 25:20Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, no, it sounds perfect. You know, there's
- 25:24Speaker 3: a lot of other mom Donnie's out there getting ready
- 25:26Speaker 3: to go. And there's a couple of other cities where
- 25:28Speaker 3: they got a mom Donnie type, somebody with no work experience,
- 25:32Speaker 3: lives in their parents' basement running and Bill Mahra so
- 25:35Speaker 3: a Friday night, is warning the Democrats stop with this stuff.
- 25:38Speaker 3: But where the elder Democrats, the party elders, where are
- 25:42Speaker 3: they on this.
- 25:43Speaker 10: It's It's astounding, isn't it. You know.
- 25:46Speaker 9: We had Julian Epstein on the Democrats strategists.
- 25:50Speaker 10: This morning on Mornings with Maria and.
- 25:53Speaker 9: As he said, Trump occupies the middle. Now that's what
- 25:56Speaker 9: that's what's making Democrats crazy. That is why they have
- 26:00Speaker 9: gone so far to the left. And I've said this
- 26:03Speaker 9: for months. I mean, if Trump is in the middle
- 26:06Speaker 9: on taxes, regulation, energy policy, immigration, gender issues, et cetera.
- 26:14Speaker 10: Where does that leave the Democrats.
- 26:15Speaker 9: It either leaves them basically working with Trump, which they
- 26:19Speaker 9: refuse to do because they've conjured up such hatred of
- 26:22Speaker 9: this president that they cannot be seen as collaborators, if
- 26:27Speaker 9: you will, or it drives some extreme left policies, which again,
- 26:33Speaker 9: and that's just what Epstein said too. It may work
- 26:36Speaker 9: in New York, it may work in Seattle or San Francisco.
- 26:40Speaker 9: They're not going to work in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Iowa, these
- 26:44Speaker 9: states where frankly, house seats are up for grabs in
- 26:49Speaker 9: purple districts. I mean, are they really and in those
- 26:52Speaker 9: parts of the country, are they going to want to
- 26:54Speaker 9: elect a socialist?
- 26:55Speaker 10: I don't think so.
- 26:56Speaker 3: Yeah. Even Kathy Hokel, she's said, you'd assume she's the
- 27:03Speaker 3: middle of the road type, and she's the governor that's
- 27:07Speaker 3: bigger than the mayor. How does she get so intimidated
- 27:09Speaker 3: by this Ma'm donnie that she seems to want to
- 27:11Speaker 3: go along with his nonsense.
- 27:12Speaker 9: It's it's just it's not just Kathy Hokeel. It's every
- 27:16Speaker 9: New York Democrat right now is being primaried by someone
- 27:20Speaker 9: on the left, and that includes Kathy Hochel. Her lieutenant
- 27:24Speaker 9: Governor Antonio Delgado, who no one's ever heard of, may
- 27:28Speaker 9: end up giving her a real fight because Mam Donnie
- 27:33Speaker 9: likes him. They've you know, they've been campaigning together, and
- 27:36Speaker 9: he's far left like Mam Donnie. Kathy Hochel is in
- 27:40Speaker 9: a terrible position because idiotically she gave von Donnie her endorsement,
- 27:45Speaker 9: so she basically alienated all the moderate Democrats in her party.
- 27:49Speaker 9: And now if she basically says, well, I endorsed him,
- 27:53Speaker 9: but I'm not going to really go along with any
- 27:55Speaker 9: of his program, what does that make her out to be?
- 27:58Speaker 10: What makes her out to be.
- 28:00Speaker 9: A completely insincere political animal, which.
- 28:03Speaker 10: Is exactly what she is. So she will blow with
- 28:06Speaker 10: the wind.
- 28:07Speaker 9: She is a terrible governor, and frankly, I think Elie
- 28:11Speaker 9: Sophonic has a very good chance of beating her if
- 28:14Speaker 9: she's the candidate. I'm not sure she will be the candidate,
- 28:18Speaker 9: but we'll see.
- 28:18Speaker 10: I mean, she doesn't have.
- 28:21Speaker 9: A backbone mark and right now you need some senior
- 28:24Speaker 9: Democrats with backbones who are moderates, who can call out
- 28:28Speaker 9: a socialist for being bad for the country. Frankly, like
- 28:31Speaker 9: Bill Maher's doing.
- 28:33Speaker 8: I mean, who would have funk it.
- 28:34Speaker 9: He's the guy that's saying to a pretty big audience,
- 28:38Speaker 9: socialism doesn't work. This is what he just said over
- 28:40Speaker 9: the weekend.
- 28:41Speaker 10: I guess or Friday.
- 28:42Speaker 9: Socialism doesn't work. It has failed every place that's been tried.
- 28:46Speaker 9: Look at Venezuela, formerly one of the richest countries on Earth,
- 28:50Speaker 9: now one of the poorest in South America. You know,
- 28:54Speaker 9: just common sense, folks, and history things that apparently are
- 28:59Speaker 9: not in great supply on the left.
- 29:00Speaker 3: Right now, hey, let's pick if you're watching the Sunday shows.
- 29:04Speaker 3: Oh you hear about? Is this affordability crisis? What an
- 29:07Speaker 3: affordability crisis? How come during Biden when inflation was nine percent,
- 29:11Speaker 3: never heard a word about this affordability crisis? Why now?
- 29:15Speaker 10: Yeah, it's rich, isn't it.
- 29:17Speaker 9: I think Democrats fastened on this only after Mom Donnie
- 29:21Speaker 9: did so kudos to him for giving them.
- 29:23Speaker 10: Sort of a lifeline here.
- 29:26Speaker 9: And yeah, things are expensive, mainly because they went up.
- 29:29Speaker 9: Eighty seven percent of the increase in prices over the
- 29:32Speaker 9: last five years came under Joe Biden. And yet to
- 29:35Speaker 9: your point, that was mostly ignored by the mainstream media.
- 29:39Speaker 10: But it is pretty rich.
- 29:40Speaker 9: Because if you look at the top ten cities in
- 29:44Speaker 9: terms of cost of living, they are all run and
- 29:47Speaker 9: have been run for decades by Democrats. Democrats brand mark
- 29:52Speaker 9: is high cost, high taxes, high regulatory burdens, high union
- 29:57Speaker 9: labor costs, you name it. They are imposing enormously high
- 30:02Speaker 9: costs on the general public and have for a decade
- 30:05Speaker 9: or more. And then you add on to this layer
- 30:08Speaker 9: of green energy, which is also expensive, and you know,
- 30:14Speaker 9: you have a recipe for extremely inflated costs of living
- 30:18Speaker 9: and to try and tag that on Republicans where we
- 30:22Speaker 9: are talking lower taxes, lower regulation, fewer impediments to building,
- 30:27Speaker 9: which by the way, means better building costs because time
- 30:30Speaker 9: is money and construction. You know, it is just astounding
- 30:35Speaker 9: that they have been able to hijack this issue.
- 30:38Speaker 10: We can't let that stand.
- 30:40Speaker 3: Very good point. Yeah, the affordability crisis seems to only
- 30:43Speaker 3: be taking place in blue cities and states. So yeah, well, yes,
- 30:47Speaker 3: everybody watched this Peak on TV reader columns and I
