Latest / Solomonster Sounds Off / WWE Smackdown 9/5/25 Review | AJ LEE RETURNS And Brock Lesnar SPOILS Cena's Chicago Farewell!
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: You know what I hate. I hate when they interrupt
- 0:03Speaker 1: my commercials with some of this wrestling crap. I don't
- 0:08Speaker 1: like that. Thankfully, we had plenty of commercials on tonight's
- 0:12Speaker 1: show to outnumber all the minutes of wrestling that we
- 0:15Speaker 1: actually got, so we were in good shape. Wrestle Pollouse.
- 0:19Speaker 1: We had commercial palooza here tonight. How terrified must they
- 0:23Speaker 1: have been to format the show in the way that
- 0:27Speaker 1: they did. They were so terrified of running out of
- 0:30Speaker 1: time at the end of the show for the aj
- 0:33Speaker 1: Lee closing segment that just the way they formatted the show.
- 0:37Speaker 1: I cannot remember an episode, honestly of SmackDown or of
- 0:41Speaker 1: WWE television that was this bad when it came to
- 0:45Speaker 1: the number of commercials and just the things they were
- 0:48Speaker 1: interrupting at various points in the show, especially in that
- 0:53Speaker 1: opening match that we had after the opening segment. But
- 0:57Speaker 1: my god, in between all of those commercials, though, were
- 1:02Speaker 1: a couple of great segments and some not so great segments.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Unfortunately we had that as well, actually very forgettable segments.
- 1:10Speaker 1: But what everybody was talking about coming into this show
- 1:13Speaker 1: here tonight was the return of aj Lee actually going
- 1:18Speaker 1: to happen. There were people who didn't believe. I'll believe
- 1:21Speaker 1: it when I see it, right. I mean, in ten years.
- 1:23Speaker 1: This woman hasn't been back on television in ten years.
- 1:26Speaker 1: She doesn't want to come back. If she wanted to
- 1:28Speaker 1: come back, she would have been at Evolution. If she
- 1:30Speaker 1: wanted to come back, she would have been in the
- 1:31Speaker 1: Royal Rumble one of these years. Leave her alone. She's done,
- 1:35Speaker 1: she's retired. But anybody who's been watching the television shows
- 1:39Speaker 1: over the last week or two, it was plain as
- 1:42Speaker 1: day this could only be leading to one possible outcome.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Anything else would be a disappointment. Nwwe knew that, and
- 1:50Speaker 1: they would have to be fucking idiots to set it
- 1:51Speaker 1: up any other way. And so even on Monday night,
- 1:55Speaker 1: when CM Punk said to Adam Pierce, We're SmackDown on Friday,
- 1:59Speaker 1: Adam Peers had to remind him that SmackDown was in Chicago.
- 2:02Speaker 1: He said, tremendous, And you knew at that point what
- 2:07Speaker 1: they were setting up for. They had a packed house
- 2:09Speaker 1: in Chicago with the All State Arena, tod had over
- 2:11Speaker 1: sixteen thousand people chanting this woman's name. Long before she
- 2:16Speaker 1: even came out to the ring, they were chanting her
- 2:17Speaker 1: name on Monday as well, and the way they set
- 2:20Speaker 1: things up here at the end, we had seth Rollins
- 2:22Speaker 1: and Becky Lane. If we don't get enough seth Rollins.
- 2:24Speaker 1: On Mondays, we had Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch. CM
- 2:28Speaker 1: Punk was in Chicago and it was all to build
- 2:32Speaker 1: to the return of his wife, the former Divas Champion
- 2:36Speaker 1: for the first time since twenty fifteen, back on TV.
- 2:40Speaker 1: A j Lee is back and in Chicago, of all places.
- 2:45Speaker 1: It was the perfect setting for something like this to happen.
- 2:49Speaker 1: This was like her first dance. Remember Punk got that
- 2:53Speaker 1: at the United Center. This was like her first dance.
- 2:55Speaker 1: She came out, thankfully, no Deaf Rebel special yet, but
- 3:01Speaker 1: she came out. She got a monstrous, just insane reaction
- 3:05Speaker 1: from the crowd in Chicago, looking great, not looking all
- 3:08Speaker 1: that different from the way that she walked out in
- 3:11Speaker 1: twenty fifteen. Skipping on down to the ring, Becky Lynch
- 3:14Speaker 1: selling this like she just saw a fucking ghost and
- 3:18Speaker 1: aj Lee getting in the ring, mixing it up with
- 3:20Speaker 1: Becky Lynch setting things in motion for what we know
- 3:23Speaker 1: is coming at wrestled Palozo, although not yet announced, a
- 3:26Speaker 1: mixed tag team match with Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch
- 3:29Speaker 1: taking on CM Punk and aj Lee a perfect attraction
- 3:34Speaker 1: for that show. And I don't know how long she's
- 3:36Speaker 1: going to stick around for I would think it's more
- 3:39Speaker 1: than just a one off. But even if it was
- 3:41Speaker 1: just a one off, this was the perfect scenario for
- 3:45Speaker 1: her to come back. And you know, as far as
- 3:47Speaker 1: what tempted her to finally come back after all this time,
- 3:50Speaker 1: because Punk has been asked about this in interviews and
- 3:53Speaker 1: podcasts over the years, when's aj coming back? When's your
- 3:57Speaker 1: wife gonna come back? And he's always you know, clearly
- 3:59Speaker 1: he he wanted her to come back, but always gave
- 4:02Speaker 1: the same basic answer, where it's up to her. It's
- 4:05Speaker 1: not my call to make. It's up to her if
- 4:07Speaker 1: she wants to come back, if she wants to get
- 4:09Speaker 1: back involved, she'll be back, and if not, then she won't.
- 4:13Speaker 1: But you wonder if it's not money and it's not fame,
- 4:17Speaker 1: and it's not the allure of coming back, but it
- 4:20Speaker 1: could just be a simple situation where she gets to
- 4:24Speaker 1: work with her husband on TV. It could just be
- 4:27Speaker 1: as simple as that, And for both of them, I'm
- 4:29Speaker 1: sure this is just the most desirable position to be
- 4:33Speaker 1: in here because now they get to work together on
- 4:35Speaker 1: TV and have fun. And that's what that closing segment was.
- 4:39Speaker 1: That closing segment was a lot of fun. They gave
- 4:42Speaker 1: people the happy ending that they were hoping for. The
- 4:44Speaker 1: worst kept secret in wrestling. Absolutely, but you know, for
- 4:48Speaker 1: the people who were gonna say, man, I wish they
- 4:50Speaker 1: would have kept it a secret, they couldn't. There was
- 4:52Speaker 1: no way. The fans were chanting this woman's name for
- 4:57Speaker 1: over a week. The fans were willing it into existence.
- 5:01Speaker 1: You would have to be an absolute moron to not
- 5:04Speaker 1: have aj Lee on the brain, either because the fans
- 5:06Speaker 1: have been chanting her name and they've acknowledged it on TV,
- 5:10Speaker 1: or just simple common sense. The way this story was building,
- 5:15Speaker 1: it was inevitable, but it didn't take away from the moment.
- 5:18Speaker 1: You listen to that reaction that pop when her music
- 5:21Speaker 1: hit and she walked out. It didn't take away from
- 5:23Speaker 1: the reaction at all. And that will go down as
- 5:26Speaker 1: one of the more memorable segments in SmackDown history. Now,
- 5:30Speaker 1: also on this show, speaking of memorable moments, John Cena
- 5:33Speaker 1: has made some memorable moments In Chicago. John Cena has
- 5:36Speaker 1: made some memorable moments in that very building that they
- 5:39Speaker 1: were in tonight, and this was it for him. This
- 5:43Speaker 1: was not only his final hurrah in Chicago, but he
- 5:48Speaker 1: confirmed that this was his last SmackDown, which kind of
- 5:52Speaker 1: gives away some of the names he won't be working
- 5:55Speaker 1: with in the few matches he has left and in
- 5:58Speaker 1: his final match, which is coming up in December. A
- 6:00Speaker 1: Thudrew McIntyre would make for a good opponent for him
- 6:03Speaker 1: in one of these upcoming matches, and that doesn't look
- 6:06Speaker 1: likely at this point, because how are you going to
- 6:08Speaker 1: do that If this guy isn't even going to appear
- 6:10Speaker 1: on SmackDown. Doesn't mean that they can't still have him
- 6:13Speaker 1: wrestle someone from SmackDown, but if Seen is not going
- 6:16Speaker 1: to be on the show, it just makes it difficult.
- 6:18Speaker 1: So this was it for him tonight. You talk about
- 6:21Speaker 1: going out there and getting a reaction. Punk got a reaction.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Aj Lee got a reaction, John Cena got a reaction,
- 6:29Speaker 1: Sammy Zain got a reaction that was not the reaction
- 6:32Speaker 1: I was expecting. We'll talk about that, But the John
- 6:35Speaker 1: Cena stuff at the beginning of the show set up
- 6:37Speaker 1: an impromptu match. We don't get these very often from
- 6:40Speaker 1: him on TV, he actually wrestled, and not only did
- 6:43Speaker 1: he wrestle tonight, he wrestled for a championship. We had
- 6:46Speaker 1: not one, but two United States Championship matches on this
- 6:49Speaker 1: show in Chicago tonight that we will be talking about.
- 6:54Speaker 1: And the John Cena stuff, including the match that he
- 6:56Speaker 1: had with Sammy Zain, were the best part to the show.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Opening segment or opening match, slash segment, and the closing
- 7:05Speaker 1: segment that was it. That was SmackDown tonight. Everything else
- 7:09Speaker 1: in the middle just felt completely inconsequential, and the commercials
- 7:13Speaker 1: didn't help. I mean, they really did just butcher almost
- 7:16Speaker 1: the entire show, and I understand they can't be avoided,
- 7:21Speaker 1: but my god, it was as bad as it's ever been.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Everything in the middle. And we'll talk about the other
- 7:25Speaker 1: US title match as well on the women's side, and
- 7:29Speaker 1: what a shame that whole situation is right now, But
- 7:34Speaker 1: there was really nothing else on this show that anybody
- 7:36Speaker 1: is going to be talking about outside of aj Lee
- 7:38Speaker 1: and John Cena. Those are the two key things right there.
- 7:41Speaker 1: We're going to talk about that as well as brock Lesner,
- 7:44Speaker 1: who also made an impromptu appearance on the show tonight
- 7:46Speaker 1: and ruined what was a great United States Championship match.
- 7:51Speaker 1: This is your Friday Night SmackDown review for Friday, September fifth,
- 7:56Speaker 1: twenty twenty five. I'm the Solomonster. Thank you guys for
- 8:00Speaker 1: joining me here on a Friday night, always the best
- 8:04Speaker 1: way to end the week. First, Michael Cole and Corey
- 8:09Speaker 1: Graves were the ones to open up the show, and
- 8:13Speaker 1: Cole said that they would be the new SmackDown Announced
- 8:16Speaker 1: team for the coming months, so they are now on
- 8:19Speaker 1: Friday nights. I would assume that means Joe Tessitur and
- 8:22Speaker 1: Wade Barrett are moving over to Mondays, and that it
- 8:26Speaker 1: has to do with Joe's college football commitments because he's
- 8:29Speaker 1: I mean, he's got to be doing college football every
- 8:31Speaker 1: Saturday at least, and maybe there's some Friday night games.
- 8:36Speaker 1: I don't know about Fridays, but I would imagine that's
- 8:39Speaker 1: why they've made this change, and when that season comes
- 8:42Speaker 1: to an end, things will likely go back to the
- 8:44Speaker 1: way they were, but Cole and Corey will be on
- 8:47Speaker 1: Friday nights now, so just be aware of that. So
- 8:50Speaker 1: after highlights from Clash in Paris last weekend, John Cena
- 8:55Speaker 1: opened up the show for the final time here in Chicago,
- 9:00Speaker 1: the very city, not only the very city, the very
- 9:02Speaker 1: building where he debuted on this very show twenty three
- 9:08Speaker 1: years ago when he walked out, he came to the
- 9:13Speaker 1: ring to confront Kurt Angle and he talked about ruthless aggression.
- 9:19Speaker 1: And here we are now, twenty three years later. He's
- 9:22Speaker 1: he's a young what is he forty eight young? Forty
- 9:24Speaker 1: eight years old now? So a monster reaction for Sina
- 9:29Speaker 1: when he came out here and he took the time
- 9:32Speaker 1: to absorb all the chance, like it looked like when
- 9:36Speaker 1: you look at him, especially tonight on the show, like
- 9:38Speaker 1: even when he initially walked out, like he's he's like
- 9:41Speaker 1: he's taking a snapshot in his mind because I'm sure
- 9:45Speaker 1: like some of these cities more than others, Like it
- 9:46Speaker 1: does mean how could it not mean something to you?
- 9:49Speaker 1: Look at the career this guy had in this company.
- 9:51Speaker 1: Look at all the shit that he has done right
- 9:54Speaker 1: and all everything they put on his shoulders and they
- 9:56Speaker 1: made him the guy in all the different matches that
- 9:58Speaker 1: he's had and the injuries and that goes with having
- 10:02Speaker 1: a long run on top the way that he did.
- 10:06Speaker 1: It's got to mean something because now he knows like
- 10:08Speaker 1: he's only got like a little over half a dozen
- 10:10Speaker 1: appearances left and even less than that when it comes
- 10:14Speaker 1: to actual matches. Things are winding down. They just announced
- 10:18Speaker 1: today now his final Madison Square Garden appearance, you know,
- 10:22Speaker 1: coming up on November seventeenth, his final Boston appearance, which
- 10:27Speaker 1: will not be his retirement match, because that was the
- 10:31Speaker 1: belief that they were going to be doing that last
- 10:32Speaker 1: Saturday Night's main event in December in Boston, and that
- 10:37Speaker 1: is not the case that show. It sounds like that
- 10:40Speaker 1: show is going to be in DC and not in Boston,
- 10:42Speaker 1: so that was interesting. So anyway, he's taking the time
- 10:45Speaker 1: to really absorb it and try to enjoy it when
- 10:49Speaker 1: he comes out, and he thanked the crowd for their kindness.
- 10:54Speaker 1: He recalled when his farewell tour first began and people
- 10:57Speaker 1: told him to enjoy it and have fun, and he
- 11:01Speaker 1: said he was coming off a lot of bad years
- 11:03Speaker 1: and he needed to get his mojo back, and he
- 11:05Speaker 1: focused on leaving everything he had in the ring to
- 11:08Speaker 1: prove to himself that he can still do it. He
- 11:11Speaker 1: said tonight, he had no plan. He came out here
- 11:13Speaker 1: with no plans on what he was going to do.
- 11:15Speaker 1: No plans on what he was going to say. He's
- 11:19Speaker 1: going to wing it, and so that's why he was
- 11:22Speaker 1: here tonight. Wanted to take it all in and have fun.
- 11:25Speaker 1: He said, what makes tonight special is looking out into
- 11:27Speaker 1: the crowd and seeing people excited. One years ago he
- 11:31Speaker 1: might have heard something a little bit different, maybe some
- 11:34Speaker 1: f you seen a chance seeing it. Told the crowd
- 11:37Speaker 1: they were in for an exciting night, and he reminded
- 11:40Speaker 1: them that this was his last time here in Chicago
- 11:43Speaker 1: and his last appearance ever on SmackDown. Scena recalled twenty
- 11:49Speaker 1: years ago walking to the ring on SmackDown and smacking
- 11:52Speaker 1: Kurd Angle in the face and how it all started
- 11:55Speaker 1: this crazy ride. He recalled his favorite memories from Chicago,
- 11:59Speaker 1: including wrestling Triple H that would have been at WrestleMania
- 12:02Speaker 1: twenty two. He also recalled wrestling CM Punk and Punk
- 12:07Speaker 1: winning the WWE Championship from him and then taking the
- 12:09Speaker 1: title and putting it in his refrigerator, and that kicked
- 12:13Speaker 1: off the summer of Punk in twenty eleven. So the
- 12:16Speaker 1: crowd begins to chant thank you, Sina Seena, thank them again.
- 12:20Speaker 1: He wished them a great night. He was ready to
- 12:22Speaker 1: go leave that was gonna be it before he could
- 12:25Speaker 1: leave the ring. Though Sammy Zain's music hits his music
- 12:30Speaker 1: interrupted Sena. Sammy comes out the brand new United States Champion.
- 12:34Speaker 1: You know, I just realized no MFTs on the show tonight.
- 12:39Speaker 1: One of the things I liked about the show tonight,
- 12:41Speaker 1: no MFTs. We didn't have Solo Soca and Jacob or
- 12:47Speaker 1: not Jacob. I wish we had Jacob Solo Socoa and
- 12:50Speaker 1: Talatonga and j C. Matteo and the great Tongdaloa nowhere
- 12:54Speaker 1: to be found on the show tonight. It's nice, we've
- 12:58Speaker 1: been getting a lot of the MFTs. It's okay to
- 13:00Speaker 1: get him off TV for a week or two or six.
- 13:07Speaker 1: But Sammy's Ain comes out, brand new United States Champion,
- 13:11Speaker 1: and you hear booze from the crowd. Now, at first,
- 13:16Speaker 1: when they hit his music, that's when the booze started.
- 13:19Speaker 1: But I didn't think it was booze necessarily. I thought
- 13:21Speaker 1: they were like at the beginning of his music, it's
- 13:24Speaker 1: almost like the crowd's building up, building up, and then
- 13:26Speaker 1: it's like, let's go. So that's what I thought it was.
- 13:29Speaker 1: A boy, was I wrong? Sammy's a and he comes
- 13:32Speaker 1: down to the ring and you hear the booze. The
- 13:35Speaker 1: people are booing him, and I have no idea where
- 13:39Speaker 1: this came from. It's not as if Sammy has been
- 13:42Speaker 1: dealing with some booze in certain cities. In certain places,
- 13:46Speaker 1: Sammy is a babyface. Sammy is is beloved by the
- 13:50Speaker 1: WWE crowds. It's not even even Cody in some places
- 13:54Speaker 1: was getting some booze. You don't really hear that with Sammy.
- 13:58Speaker 1: So I'm like, I'm watching this and I know it
- 13:59Speaker 1: Sit Cago and I mean, whatever the hell that means.
- 14:02Speaker 1: It's like, oh, it's New York. It's like, what the
- 14:04Speaker 1: fuck does that mean? I heard people say that sometimes,
- 14:08Speaker 1: but I guess you just never know how they're gonna react.
- 14:10Speaker 1: I was not expecting this. This was like, Wow, I
- 14:14Speaker 1: don't know where this came from. But okay, he interrupted Cena.
- 14:18Speaker 1: But Sina was about to leave, So why boot? Why
- 14:22Speaker 1: boot the man? I don't know. Sina said that it
- 14:26Speaker 1: was happy hour in Chicago and he was there for
- 14:29Speaker 1: the booze. Look at this, John Cena, if you could
- 14:33Speaker 1: believe it, John Cena with a Duff's VIDs joke, He's
- 14:38Speaker 1: there for the booze. He said, funny, Sammy thanks Sena
- 14:43Speaker 1: on behalf of the locker room for everything that he's
- 14:47Speaker 1: done for them and everything that he has done for
- 14:50Speaker 1: him personally. He recalled making his debut against Sena for
- 14:56Speaker 1: the United States Championship, and I remember that as well.
- 15:01Speaker 1: I remember that Brett Hart was there that night, and
- 15:03Speaker 1: I remember that Brett Hart actually introduced Sammy z Ain
- 15:07Speaker 1: to the ring. This is when Sina was doing the
- 15:09Speaker 1: US Title Open Challenge ten years ago. Funny enough, the
- 15:14Speaker 1: same year that aj Lee last made her appearance, Brett
- 15:17Speaker 1: Hart was there. They were in Canada. I believe Sammy's
- 15:20Speaker 1: Ain came out and he was all hyped up. This
- 15:23Speaker 1: was the night that Sammy he gets on the ring
- 15:25Speaker 1: steps and he's flailing his arms around so hard that
- 15:28Speaker 1: he tore his fucking rotator cuff. And still, like, I
- 15:32Speaker 1: think back to that, and I'm like, what must have
- 15:34Speaker 1: been going through this man's head, Like, imagine you're in
- 15:37Speaker 1: Sammy z Ain's position at that exact moment, and you're
- 15:41Speaker 1: about to get one of the biggest opportunities of your life. Right,
- 15:45Speaker 1: You're on live television. You're about to wrestle John Cena.
- 15:49Speaker 1: First night on Raw Brett Hart just introduced you You're
- 15:52Speaker 1: in Canada, and you're like, oh shit, because you know,
- 15:56Speaker 1: you have to know instantly that something is wrong. And
- 16:00Speaker 1: I remember, like I think, he relayed to Brett what
- 16:03Speaker 1: had happened, and Brett went over to Scena to tell Sena.
- 16:05Speaker 1: But he wrestled the match, and from what I recall,
- 16:08Speaker 1: they had a really good match. So that actually was
- 16:10Speaker 1: a very memorable I guess for him bittersweet, but it
- 16:14Speaker 1: actually was a very memorable night, even though it's like,
- 16:18Speaker 1: you know, you can't recall everything that happened ten years ago,
- 16:22Speaker 1: but there are certain moments that are unforgettable. Flailing your
- 16:26Speaker 1: arms around and injuring yourself I would say qualifies as
- 16:29Speaker 1: one of those moments. But he said, also what the
- 16:31Speaker 1: John Cena US Title Open Challenge rather did for him
- 16:37Speaker 1: and others to get an opportunity. Sammy told Sena that
- 16:41Speaker 1: with his permission, he would like to recreate his own
- 16:45Speaker 1: US Title Open Challenge for the same reason, and Sina said,
- 16:49Speaker 1: he thinks that's a great idea. So Sina went to
- 16:54Speaker 1: go leave and Sammy stopped him and said, you offer
- 16:58Speaker 1: him the same opportunity that he gave Sammy ten years ago.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Sammy said that he had one foot in the door
- 17:04Speaker 1: ten years ago, and he wanted to offer him the
- 17:07Speaker 1: same now that he had one foot out the door.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Sammy said, We're not going to do it a month
- 17:12Speaker 1: from now. We're not going to do it next week.
- 17:14Speaker 1: He wanted to do it right now. Now. He gets
- 17:19Speaker 1: cheered by the Chicago fan. Now they love him because
- 17:22Speaker 1: of course they want the match tonight. Sena told him
- 17:25Speaker 1: you're on, and he called for a referee to come
- 17:28Speaker 1: out to the ring and they went to a break.
- 17:30Speaker 1: This was a great segment. This was a great segment.
- 17:35Speaker 1: Sina seemed genuinely moved by the reaction. It felt special
- 17:39Speaker 1: because again, it is his last SmackDown. I didn't know
- 17:42Speaker 1: that it was his last SmackDown. I knew it was
- 17:44Speaker 1: his last appearance in Chicago as an active performer. That
- 17:47Speaker 1: I knew. I did not know that tonight was going
- 17:49Speaker 1: to be his last SmackDown. So when he said that,
- 17:52Speaker 1: that caught me off guard. So it was a special
- 17:56Speaker 1: segment in that way. I like the interaction with him
- 17:58Speaker 1: and Sammy. Again, I don't know what was up with
- 18:00Speaker 1: the crowd other than just it was a very pro
- 18:03Speaker 1: John Cena crowd, and obviously during their match they wanted
- 18:06Speaker 1: to see Sina win and win the championship, so I
- 18:10Speaker 1: can understand them booing Sammy, you know, even in the
- 18:13Speaker 1: course of the match maybe, but the reaction to Sammy
- 18:16Speaker 1: when he initially came out that I was not expecting.
- 18:20Speaker 1: And as far as him reviving the open challenge, I mean, look,
- 18:24Speaker 1: I've made my comments clear in the past. We went
- 18:27Speaker 1: through this period. It's actually calmed down recently, which is nice,
- 18:31Speaker 1: but we went through this period not that long ago
- 18:34Speaker 1: in the two companies WWE and AW, and especially in AW,
- 18:40Speaker 1: I feel like where we were getting open challenges every
- 18:44Speaker 1: single week, and it's not like they've all gone away,
- 18:47Speaker 1: but it was happening so often, and it felt like
- 18:50Speaker 1: it was just being used as a lazy crutch by
- 18:54Speaker 1: people who didn't know what to do with the Intercontinental
- 18:58Speaker 1: title or the TNT, the US title, whatever it would be,
- 19:02Speaker 1: and so we'll just do open challenges with all the championships.
- 19:05Speaker 1: And it's like, what a lazy fucking thing to do,
- 19:07Speaker 1: taking that concept and just beating it into the ground,
- 19:11Speaker 1: and it just it was too much. I'm fine with
- 19:15Speaker 1: an open challenge here and there, but like it just
- 19:17Speaker 1: became too much. So it's kind of died down a
- 19:19Speaker 1: little bit. And and here I don't mind it just
- 19:21Speaker 1: because he clearly he told John Cena, look, I love
- 19:25Speaker 1: when you did the US Title Open Challenge ten years ago,
- 19:28Speaker 1: and with your permission, I'd like to just recreate that myself,
- 19:32Speaker 1: you know, basically asking for Seenea his blessing, and Scena
- 19:36Speaker 1: gave him his blessing. So I don't mind it so much.
- 19:41Speaker 1: I mean, it's still, yeah, I wish they could come
- 19:43Speaker 1: up with a solid story for him with that championship.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Maybe out of one of these open challenges something will
- 19:48Speaker 1: come out of it. But I like that aspect that
- 19:51Speaker 1: they at least drew parallels to the one because the
- 19:53Speaker 1: one Sena did was fantastic, you know, ten years ago.
- 19:57Speaker 1: And again we'll see what happens is as far as
- 20:00Speaker 1: seen his remaining opponents once he gets beyond brock Lesner.
- 20:04Speaker 1: Because Drew McIntyre was on my personal short list of
- 20:07Speaker 1: people that I think would have made for a great
- 20:09Speaker 1: opponent or a challenger for him, it could still happen.
- 20:15Speaker 1: I just think it makes it a hell of a
- 20:16Speaker 1: lot less likely given that McIntyre is on SmackDown, and
- 20:20Speaker 1: if Scene is not going to be making any television
- 20:22Speaker 1: appearances on SmackDown, that doesn't excite me. You know, him
- 20:27Speaker 1: being promoted for a match against somebody that he's not
- 20:29Speaker 1: going to be on TV to help promote, I think
- 20:32Speaker 1: is a poor use of John Cena. So they may
- 20:36Speaker 1: have just closed the door on a possible John Cena
- 20:39Speaker 1: Drew McIntyre match. On the other hand, if Gunther is
- 20:42Speaker 1: back in the next couple of months, they could still
- 20:45Speaker 1: do Sena and Gunther right because Gunther's on Raw. AJ
- 20:48Speaker 1: Styles is on Raw, so I mean they have options
- 20:53Speaker 1: on Monday Night. That would be fine if that's the
- 20:56Speaker 1: direction they wanted to go in. But we had John
- 21:00Speaker 1: Cena against Sammy's Ain. This was a United States Championship
- 21:04Speaker 1: match here as part of the Open Challenge, and the
- 21:11Speaker 1: crowd was amped up for this match, pro John Cena
- 21:14Speaker 1: all the way, very much anti Sammy z Ain. They
- 21:18Speaker 1: wanted to see John Cena win that US title. The
- 21:20Speaker 1: match was joined already in progress as Sena and Sammy
- 21:24Speaker 1: locked up in the middle of the ring. Sammy attempted
- 21:26Speaker 1: a springboard leap frog early on. It didn't go the
- 21:29Speaker 1: way he wanted it. To but he hit a closed
- 21:32Speaker 1: line anyway, Sammy whip seen A Herd into the corner,
- 21:35Speaker 1: which got more booze from the crowd. Seena then threw
- 21:39Speaker 1: Sammy with a hard Irish whip that sent him flying
- 21:42Speaker 1: into the corner and it was back to another commercial.
- 21:46Speaker 1: Picture in picture. This was not even five or six
- 21:50Speaker 1: minutes since the last one and they were already into
- 21:55Speaker 1: another commercial that they returned with Sammy being hoisted up
- 21:59Speaker 1: by Sea for an attitude adjustment attempt. Champion escaped seeing
- 22:03Speaker 1: it turned Sammy's attempt at a springboard move into an attitude adjustment.
- 22:07Speaker 1: He could not pick up the three count As Seena recovered,
- 22:11Speaker 1: Sammy tried to hit an exploder that got countered into
- 22:14Speaker 1: a Kevin Owens style pop up power bomb by Sina.
- 22:19Speaker 1: Sammy's aying then missed the halluva kick after he recovered,
- 22:22Speaker 1: and Sena caught him with an angle slam in slow motion.
- 22:26Speaker 1: This was the slowest angle slam that you will ever see.
- 22:31Speaker 1: But he hit an angle slam, which, according to Michael Cole,
- 22:36Speaker 1: was a back suplex and I watched this and I go,
- 22:40Speaker 1: that is definitely not a back suplex quote unquote, that
- 22:45Speaker 1: is an angle slam, and I have no idea how
- 22:48Speaker 1: this was lost on Michael Cole because he just called
- 22:51Speaker 1: it like any other move. And Cole is usually on
- 22:55Speaker 1: point with stuff. I mean, he's been there long enough,
- 22:58Speaker 1: he's been there for all seen his career. He was
- 23:02Speaker 1: probably calling SmackDown that night when he debuted against kurd Angle.
- 23:06Speaker 1: I don't know how it was lost on him that
- 23:08Speaker 1: not only was it a Angle slam, but it was tied
- 23:12Speaker 1: into the fact that in this building, in this city,
- 23:15Speaker 1: in his SmackDown debut, John Cena wrestled kurd Angle. Somehow
- 23:20Speaker 1: he missed that. Thankfully Corey he didn't, and so Corey
- 23:24Speaker 1: did mention that, but yeah, I don't. I don't know
- 23:27Speaker 1: how Cole missed that point. So both men traded strikes
- 23:31Speaker 1: until we got a double clothesline into a double down,
- 23:34Speaker 1: and that took us into another picture and picture break.
- 23:40Speaker 1: So here's the thing about this match. As much as
- 23:42Speaker 1: I love this match, they absolutely butchered this match with commercials.
- 23:46Speaker 1: And my bad, Okay, it's my own fault because I
- 23:50Speaker 1: have been using my Express VPN for all of these
- 23:55Speaker 1: international shows the last few weeks, and the thought never
- 23:58Speaker 1: occurred to me to use it for this show tonight.
- 24:00Speaker 1: I was using it because I wanted to watch the
- 24:02Speaker 1: shows early or I you know, I should have been.
- 24:06Speaker 1: People were like, you should be watching it on Netflix
- 24:08Speaker 1: with the VPN. You're absolutely right. I fucked up, But
- 24:14Speaker 1: nonetheless it was still quite ridiculous, and especially in the
- 24:17Speaker 1: middle of this match. And this is why when they
- 24:21Speaker 1: announced that Saturday Night's main event was no longer being
- 24:24Speaker 1: aired on NBC, I said, that's a great thing, because
- 24:27Speaker 1: if John Cena is going to be wrestling his retirement match,
- 24:31Speaker 1: imagine this was his retirement match and they go to
- 24:33Speaker 1: break every three minutes. If they would have had his
- 24:37Speaker 1: retirement match on NBC in December, it would have been
- 24:39Speaker 1: an absolute fucking disaster. At least now it'll be streaming
- 24:43Speaker 1: on Peacock and we should not have these these mid
- 24:46Speaker 1: match interruptions in this way. So that show no longer
- 24:50Speaker 1: being on NBC is a great thing, and this is why.
- 24:55Speaker 1: So during the commercial break, I should mention the first
- 24:59Speaker 1: commercial break early that they took. Sammy hit a blue
- 25:02Speaker 1: thunderbomb that got a near fall. Sina got a curd
- 25:06Speaker 1: angle ankle lock applied. During this commercial break, Sammy kicked
- 25:10Speaker 1: free Scena, though got the STFU apply. I'm watching in
- 25:14Speaker 1: the little box here, Sena got the STFU applied, and
- 25:19Speaker 1: then Sammy worked his way towards the ropes. Sena drags
- 25:22Speaker 1: him back to the center of the ring. I mean,
- 25:25Speaker 1: we've seen that spot a thousand times, but it made
- 25:27Speaker 1: me think of the match with Punk in Chicago. Money
- 25:29Speaker 1: in the bank, he got Sena in the or he
- 25:32Speaker 1: got Punk rather in the STF Punk is inching towards
- 25:35Speaker 1: the ropes. Scena pulls him back to the center of
- 25:37Speaker 1: the ring, and I remember the crowd. Never forget the
- 25:40Speaker 1: crowd for that match was just absolutely out of their minds.
- 25:44Speaker 1: That's what makes that match so special. I mean, that's
- 25:47Speaker 1: a five star match, and so they did that spot
- 25:49Speaker 1: here and you can see that the people are losing
- 25:52Speaker 1: their minds. But you can't hear a fucking thing. You
- 25:55Speaker 1: can't hear anything. I hear a fucking pizza Hut commercial
- 25:58Speaker 1: is what I hear. So it would have been to hear,
- 26:00Speaker 1: you know, ask Sammy is struggling not to tap out.
- 26:03Speaker 1: But you didn't hear anything, unless, of course you're watching
- 26:05Speaker 1: this either internationally or with a VPN, But otherwise we
- 26:09Speaker 1: didn't get the sounds of this. We didn't get the
- 26:11Speaker 1: audio here. When they came back full screen, they replayed
- 26:15Speaker 1: what had happened, and the replay was then interrupted by
- 26:19Speaker 1: Sammy hitting the halluva kick. Sena, though kicked out, Sina
- 26:23Speaker 1: managed to then catch Sammy with a go to sleep
- 26:27Speaker 1: here in Chicago, so you can imagine the reaction that
- 26:31Speaker 1: got covered him. Sammy kicks out. Sammy's ain't kicked that
- 26:35Speaker 1: out of a lot of big moves here in this match.
- 26:37Speaker 1: He went full Supersena in this match. So in the corner,
- 26:42Speaker 1: Sena was sizing up Sammy and he motioned for him
- 26:45Speaker 1: to get up, and he's clearly paying homage to one
- 26:49Speaker 1: of his all time great rivals, in my opinion, his
- 26:52Speaker 1: second greatest rival behind Cmpunk, which is Edge. And you know,
- 26:58Speaker 1: because he's doing the edge motion, he's losing his mind.
- 27:00Speaker 1: He's freaking out. He's bouncing up and down in the
- 27:02Speaker 1: corner and then he comes out and he hits a
- 27:05Speaker 1: spear and Sammy kicks out. This led to Michael Cole
- 27:10Speaker 1: mentioning seen as past battles with the Big Dog Roman
- 27:14Speaker 1: reigns like, are you fucking kidding me? Are you fucking
- 27:20Speaker 1: kidding me? Now it's possible that Michael Cole was was
- 27:24Speaker 1: just out to lunch on this show tonight. Otherwise, how
- 27:29Speaker 1: petty can you be that you cannot even mention edge
- 27:33Speaker 1: Like we just saw clash in Paris. We got a Claudio,
- 27:37Speaker 1: we got a sosorrow mention. Okay, you mean to tell
- 27:41Speaker 1: me that you can't say edge or that Cole didn't
- 27:44Speaker 1: pick up on him doing the edge mannerisms because again
- 27:49Speaker 1: he was going through's cycling through some of his greatest opponents,
- 27:53Speaker 1: Kevin Owens with the pop up power bomb right see,
- 27:55Speaker 1: I'm punk with the goat to sleep, Edge with the spear.
- 28:00Speaker 1: Sina had two matches I think in his entire career
- 28:02Speaker 1: with Roman Reigns. One of them, the first one wasn't
- 28:05Speaker 1: really anything special, and the second one was even worse.
- 28:09Speaker 1: That was at Summerslim a few years ago. There's not
- 28:12Speaker 1: some classic rivalry or feud okay between John Cena and
- 28:16Speaker 1: Roman Reigns. But nevertheless Michael Cole either didn't pick up
- 28:22Speaker 1: on it or you're not allowed to say not allowed
- 28:25Speaker 1: to say the unmentionable word. So the fans picked up
- 28:29Speaker 1: on Sina stealing moves from his past rivals. They started
- 28:32Speaker 1: chanting RKO, can we get an RKO next? And so
- 28:36Speaker 1: Sena attempted one, Sammy avoided it. They ended up on
- 28:39Speaker 1: the ropes where Sena delivered an avalanche attitude adjustment. He
- 28:45Speaker 1: tossed Sammy halfway across the ring. And so now both
- 28:49Speaker 1: men are down and I'm waiting because when they do
- 28:53Speaker 1: this spot both men are down, it's late in the match.
- 28:56Speaker 1: I'm thinking, Okay, obviously something is about to fuck up
- 29:00Speaker 1: this great match that we are in the middle of
- 29:02Speaker 1: watching here because neither man can be beat. So what's
- 29:05Speaker 1: about to happen? Well, what's about to happen is what
- 29:07Speaker 1: you would expect. You hear damn my terrible sound effect,
- 29:12Speaker 1: and that is the cue for Brock Lesner to come
- 29:16Speaker 1: back out. How nice to see Brock. After we saw
- 29:19Speaker 1: him at SummerSlam a month ago, he was back on television.
- 29:23Speaker 1: Here tonight Brock walks out, cowboy hat on his head
- 29:27Speaker 1: and he takes his time coming down to the ring.
- 29:29Speaker 1: I guess they added Chicago at the last minute to
- 29:31Speaker 1: his schedule. He was supposed to be in Norfolk next week,
- 29:35Speaker 1: which he will be, and then wherever the hell SmackDown
- 29:38Speaker 1: is on the nineteenth that's the go home show to
- 29:41Speaker 1: Wrestle Palooza. But I guess they added Chicago here as
- 29:45Speaker 1: a late edition. He dragged, literally drags the referee out
- 29:51Speaker 1: of the ring, yanks him out of the ref or
- 29:53Speaker 1: out of the ring, and he fucking crashes on the ground.
- 29:57Speaker 1: Down below scene it gets or Brock rather gets in
- 30:01Speaker 1: the ring. He picks up Samby's ay and he delivers
- 30:04Speaker 1: an F five. Then he picks up John Cena and
- 30:07Speaker 1: he delivers an F five. Then he picks John Cena
- 30:10Speaker 1: back up again and he delivers another F five for
- 30:14Speaker 1: good measure. And he looked quite pleased with himself before
- 30:19Speaker 1: he left. Now, after a break, they showed Lesner in
- 30:22Speaker 1: the back walking through Gorilla and we got to actually
- 30:25Speaker 1: hear from Brock very briefly. Did we get an explanation
- 30:30Speaker 1: here for why he has targeted John Cena? Nope. He
- 30:35Speaker 1: looked into the camera. He said, John Cena, see you
- 30:38Speaker 1: at wressell Palooza. Bitch. This fucking guy is stealing Ocatta's gimmick. Now,
- 30:45Speaker 1: now I know what he's been doing this entire time
- 30:47Speaker 1: that he's been off. He's been exposed. I'll bet your
- 30:52Speaker 1: shocked to find out that brock Lesner has been sitting
- 30:54Speaker 1: at home with his HBO Max subscription watching aw Dynamite
- 30:58Speaker 1: and Collision every single week. He's been taking notes about
- 31:03Speaker 1: Ocatta's promo. You know what, I'm going to incorporate that
- 31:06Speaker 1: into my shit is Okatta. Guy's pretty good. That was
- 31:10Speaker 1: it and just and they had the graphics ready to go.
- 31:13Speaker 1: It's like a Tony Kahn special where the graphics are
- 31:15Speaker 1: ready to go, just like that, as brock Lesner and
- 31:18Speaker 1: John Cena Wressell palouza. The match is now official for
- 31:22Speaker 1: September twentieth. So there you go, there's your main event.
- 31:29Speaker 1: There he comes. We all knew the match was coming.
- 31:33Speaker 1: We all knew that we probably were not going to
- 31:35Speaker 1: get an explanation. It's lazy as shit, but they don't
- 31:38Speaker 1: give a shit because now they have a marquee attraction
- 31:41Speaker 1: back in Brocklesner, who By the way, the interference of
- 31:45Speaker 1: brock Lesner completely ruined the end of this match. The
- 31:48Speaker 1: match was thrown out I guess no contest after twenty
- 31:51Speaker 1: or twenty two minutes. However long this match went. They
- 31:54Speaker 1: got about twenty minutes added to the opening segment. This
- 31:59Speaker 1: ate up the first forty five minutes of the show,
- 32:02Speaker 1: And I think back to Clash in Paris when they
- 32:05Speaker 1: opened with Roman Reigns in Bronson Reid, which didn't even
- 32:09Speaker 1: start until fifteen minutes into the show. Then you had
- 32:12Speaker 1: a twenty minute match, and then you had a postmatch
- 32:14Speaker 1: angle to beat down on Roman Reigns, the stretcher job,
- 32:17Speaker 1: which lasted almost as long as the match itself. By
- 32:20Speaker 1: the time they got to the second match at Clash
- 32:22Speaker 1: in Paris, we were into our number two. It was
- 32:24Speaker 1: completely ridiculous here. I didn't mind it so much that
- 32:29Speaker 1: they ate up most of the first hour. Right, it's television,
- 32:33Speaker 1: so you're gonna have a mix of segments and matches
- 32:36Speaker 1: and you know, the scenes stuff. This being his final
- 32:38Speaker 1: appearance there, it was a special thing. I enjoyed all
- 32:41Speaker 1: of this up until the finish. I enjoyed all of this.
- 32:45Speaker 1: The match itself was very good, and really the match itself,
- 32:49Speaker 1: it wasn't even like the match was some sort of
- 32:52Speaker 1: you know, technical marvel. That's not what these John Cena
- 32:54Speaker 1: matches are meant to be. The John Cena matches now
- 32:57Speaker 1: are just meant to be him playing the hits and
- 33:01Speaker 1: maybe his opponent too, playing the heir I mean Logan
- 33:03Speaker 1: Paul was stealing everyone's move But that's what Seene is doing.
- 33:06Speaker 1: He's paying respect, he's paying homage to people that he
- 33:09Speaker 1: has worked with, that he has respected and admired and
- 33:13Speaker 1: worked within the ring over the course of his entire career.
- 33:17Speaker 1: So in Paris we got the callbacks to Cesarro and
- 33:21Speaker 1: dob Ziggler right, just multiple and there were like two
- 33:24Speaker 1: other people I think too and here tonight alone, Kevin
- 33:27Speaker 1: Owens and CM Punk and Edge and who knows who
- 33:32Speaker 1: else he might work and who hasn't he He hasn't
- 33:35Speaker 1: done a pedigree yet, has he? He hasn't incorporated Triple
- 33:39Speaker 1: H into his matches. Who else can John Cena incorporate
- 33:44Speaker 1: some of Johnsen's greatest opponent. Well, he did the styles
- 33:46Speaker 1: clash in Paris. I forgot about that one. And so
- 33:51Speaker 1: it's just it's an experience, especially for the people who
- 33:53Speaker 1: were there in the arenas and the buildings. But we're
- 33:56Speaker 1: counting down the days and he's going out there now
- 33:59Speaker 1: and having readstling matches that are far more entertaining to
- 34:02Speaker 1: me than any of the shit he was doing after
- 34:05Speaker 1: return Heel earlier this year. Although I'm not saying the
- 34:08Speaker 1: match with Randy Orton was a bad match, and I'm
- 34:10Speaker 1: not saying the match at CMPUNK was a bad match.
- 34:13Speaker 1: But now that he's back to being a babyface, he
- 34:17Speaker 1: is able to go out there now and do certain
- 34:19Speaker 1: things that you wouldn't be doing if you were a heel,
- 34:23Speaker 1: and you put him in there with the right people,
- 34:26Speaker 1: Sammy Zain certainly knows how to work, and you end
- 34:29Speaker 1: up with what we got tonight. So I'm enjoying. You know,
- 34:33Speaker 1: what we've been getting from Sina. We got two fucking
- 34:35Speaker 1: banger matches from him in the month of August. He
- 34:38Speaker 1: just opened up September with another really good match with Brock.
- 34:43Speaker 1: You know, it's hard to say. It's hard to say.
- 34:46Speaker 1: One of my favorite matches was that first match back
- 34:49Speaker 1: that Brock had in twenty twelve at Extreme Rules against Sina,
- 34:54Speaker 1: because it was it was unlike any main event that
- 34:57Speaker 1: WWE had done at that time. It was just it
- 35:00Speaker 1: was different. It almost felt real. It felt like Sina
- 35:04Speaker 1: is in like mortal danger, especially when he got opened
- 35:06Speaker 1: up hardway, which is just so fucking dumb. It would
- 35:11Speaker 1: be a lot safer to have him cut himself open
- 35:14Speaker 1: than have Brock lesnar fucking hard way elbowing him in
- 35:17Speaker 1: the head. He did that with Randy Orton too, But
- 35:20Speaker 1: that match was it was just crazy and I love it.
- 35:25Speaker 1: I love that match. The match at SummerSlam they had
- 35:28Speaker 1: in twenty fourteen was a very different kind of match. Obviously,
- 35:32Speaker 1: that was also very unique, something you would never see
- 35:35Speaker 1: in WWE where you would have a main event start
- 35:37Speaker 1: doing a long squash in a pay per view main event. So, again,
- 35:43Speaker 1: a different kind of match what we're going to get
- 35:46Speaker 1: between these two here in twenty twenty five. Brock has
- 35:50Speaker 1: not wrestled the match in over two years. Johnsen is
- 35:53Speaker 1: in the middle of his retirement tour, right forty eight
- 35:56Speaker 1: years old. His body can't go the way that used to,
- 36:00Speaker 1: by his own admission. Now he's in there with a
- 36:03Speaker 1: guy who's not going to be doing the same things
- 36:06Speaker 1: that you know, Logan Paul was doing and Sammy Zain
- 36:09Speaker 1: was doing. Brock's a different kind of performer, and so
- 36:13Speaker 1: I honestly don't know what to expect here. I expect
- 36:15Speaker 1: a lot of smoke and mirrors, but there's no no
- 36:18Speaker 1: disqualification stipulation. It's right now, It's just a straight wrestling match.
- 36:22Speaker 1: It's not a street fight or anything like that. So
- 36:25Speaker 1: I'm kind of curious what we end up getting, don't.
- 36:28Speaker 1: I don't know that it's going to be any better
- 36:30Speaker 1: than some of the stuff we've gotten from them before.
- 36:32Speaker 1: It'll be something interesting to see, for better or worse.
- 36:35Speaker 1: I just don't quite know what to expect here from
- 36:37Speaker 1: from these two at this point. But yeah, this match
- 36:41Speaker 1: here really good stuff. If you didn't see it, it's
- 36:43Speaker 1: definitely worth going out of your way to check it out,
- 36:46Speaker 1: and also interesting to see what happens next week and
- 36:51Speaker 1: the week after that and the week after that. And
- 36:54Speaker 1: I don't think it will. But if the reactions to
- 36:57Speaker 1: Sammy and Chicago carry over, I'm going to assume it
- 37:01Speaker 1: had to do with just we're very pro Sena. You
- 37:03Speaker 1: came out we hate you. I don't expect that to
- 37:06Speaker 1: be the case in Norfolk next week. If it is
- 37:10Speaker 1: that in the long run, that could end up being
- 37:12Speaker 1: an issue, but I'm assuming that's going to be a
- 37:15Speaker 1: one week aberration. Today's episode is sponsored by Better Help.
- 37:20Speaker 1: You can find advice for everything these days, my god.
- 37:23Speaker 1: I mean, good advice is one thing that's great, but
- 37:26Speaker 1: when you have people giving you advice about all sorts
- 37:28Speaker 1: of things they may not necessarily be qualified to be
- 37:32Speaker 1: giving it, and when it comes to your mental health
- 37:34Speaker 1: and well being, you want to make sure that you're

- 39:08Speaker 1: com slash slo monster. Now Nick Alldis was in the back.
- 39:13Speaker 1: Nick Alldis was speed walking through the backstage area. It
- 39:18Speaker 1: looked like he was in a hurry, maybe trying to
- 39:20Speaker 1: catch up to brock Lesner, But he got interrupted by
- 39:24Speaker 1: Carmelo Hayes. Now, of course, with all these big stars
- 39:27Speaker 1: walking around here on Smack Dan, you got John Cena,
- 39:30Speaker 1: You've got brock Lesner, You've got cmpunk is in the building.
- 39:34Speaker 1: He has no time for the Carmelo Hayes of the world,
- 39:38Speaker 1: and he's trying to explain this to him, and Hayes
- 39:40Speaker 1: is like, I just I just want a minute of
- 39:42Speaker 1: your time. I just wanted to talk to you. He
- 39:44Speaker 1: was looking for a shot, right because it sounded like
- 39:46Speaker 1: he was about to ask for a shot at the
- 39:47Speaker 1: US title, which, by the way, I don't know why
- 39:50Speaker 1: he would have to ask for a shot at the
- 39:52Speaker 1: US title now that there's a fucking open challenge going on,
- 39:55Speaker 1: just just come out and accept the challenge, like Carmelo
- 39:58Speaker 1: Hayes should be happy right now. Sammy Zain just announced
- 40:02Speaker 1: that he is restarting the US Title Open Challenge, So
- 40:06Speaker 1: if he wants a shot that badly, all he needs
- 40:09Speaker 1: to do is be first at the curtain next week
- 40:11Speaker 1: and just walk out there, dude, and you'll get your shot.
- 40:15Speaker 1: I actually think that would be kind of neat if
- 40:17Speaker 1: at the end of all this, maybe someone like him
- 40:19Speaker 1: answers the challenge and wins. But that's for like later
- 40:23Speaker 1: on though. But before he could tell nick All this
- 40:27Speaker 1: what he was wanting, Miz popped up and said, yeah,
- 40:30Speaker 1: we want a shot at the tag team titles, and
- 40:34Speaker 1: all this said that he would take it under advisement.
- 40:37Speaker 1: Hayes was very frustrated because that's not what he was
- 40:40Speaker 1: looking for. Meanwhile, they cut over and they show an
- 40:42Speaker 1: suv arriving at the arena and who steps out but
- 40:46Speaker 1: the Women's Intercontinental Champion, Becky Lynch. She is in the house.
- 40:54Speaker 1: After this, we had Alistair Black, who used to have
- 40:57Speaker 1: a house of his own called the House of Black,
- 41:01Speaker 1: one on one with Damian Priest. As Priest was coming
- 41:04Speaker 1: out to the ring, Black ambushed him and it turned
- 41:07Speaker 1: into a brawl. At ringside. Black caught Priest with a
- 41:10Speaker 1: knee to the face that drove him over the barricade,
- 41:13Speaker 1: and we got another commercial break. You know, I may
- 41:17Speaker 1: have to start reviewing the commercials. What do you think
- 41:21Speaker 1: we may have to start incorporating commercial reviews into these shows.
- 41:27Speaker 1: As they returned, Priest was in the aisle with officials.
- 41:31Speaker 1: They were checking on him. He looked dazed and out
- 41:34Speaker 1: of it, but he stormed back down to the ring,
- 41:36Speaker 1: only to get kicked in the head. Now, with both
- 41:39Speaker 1: men in the ring, they rang the bell to signify
- 41:42Speaker 1: the official start of the match. The match hadn't actually
- 41:44Speaker 1: started yet, so now the match is officially underway. After
- 41:49Speaker 1: Priest missed the punch, Black took over with another kick
- 41:51Speaker 1: to the noggin. Priest recovered with a surprise headbutt, and
- 41:56Speaker 1: Black answered with a modified crucifix submission. Black took Priest
- 42:00Speaker 1: down with a top rope mediora for a two count,
- 42:04Speaker 1: and I shit, you not strike me down if I'm
- 42:09Speaker 1: lying to you. They took another fucking commercial break. They
- 42:16Speaker 1: had not even been back for a full two minutes,
- 42:19Speaker 1: and they went to another commercial break. And this is
- 42:23Speaker 1: where I realized that they must be absolutely terrified, terrified
- 42:28Speaker 1: of running out of time at the end of the
- 42:30Speaker 1: show because USA no longer gives them an overrun. Can't
- 42:34Speaker 1: eviny overruns. You got a hard out at ten pm,
- 42:38Speaker 1: and they obviously didn't want to run out of time
- 42:39Speaker 1: for the closing segment. This whole show was built around
- 42:42Speaker 1: the closing segment, and so we got to hurry up
- 42:45Speaker 1: and get all the commercials out of the way early
- 42:47Speaker 1: so we got plenty of time for what's coming up
- 42:50Speaker 1: later on in the show. So the action resumed with
- 42:55Speaker 1: Priest attempting a razor's edge, not a chokes lamb, but
- 42:59Speaker 1: Black avoid had both moves. He landed a kick for
- 43:02Speaker 1: a two count. Are we at four hundred and fifty
- 43:06Speaker 1: seven likes? Look at that be the booker unlocked? Now
- 43:11Speaker 1: can we get that bonus round to be the booker.
- 43:13Speaker 1: We're at five out of fifteen on that goal, so
- 43:16Speaker 1: we'll see if we get there. But that's awesome. Priest
- 43:20Speaker 1: fired back with a hard right hand and he landed
- 43:24Speaker 1: a series of strikes splash in the corner and then
- 43:27Speaker 1: a big boot and a flying crossbody on the outside.
- 43:30Speaker 1: Priest cleared off the announced desk and then he dropped
- 43:32Speaker 1: Black onto the desk with a razor's edge. The table
- 43:36Speaker 1: did not break. Priest then went for a South of
- 43:39Speaker 1: Heaven chokes lamb in the ring. Black, though grabbed the
- 43:42Speaker 1: referee to prevent being taken up into the air, and
- 43:45Speaker 1: in all the confusion that ensued here, he landed the
- 43:48Speaker 1: Black mass kick flush right on the jaw covered him
- 43:54Speaker 1: and he got the three count. What I was able
- 43:56Speaker 1: to actually see of this match, what little bit I
- 44:01Speaker 1: saw was solid. It was a solid match. Never felt
- 44:05Speaker 1: like a got out of first gear, but it was
- 44:08Speaker 1: a solid, you know, hard hitting, you know, pretty fairly
- 44:13Speaker 1: even match. I feel like they gave more to Black,
- 44:15Speaker 1: but you know, mostly a fairly even match between these
- 44:18Speaker 1: two with the right man going over. Alistair Black needed
- 44:20Speaker 1: a win like this. They have done next to nothing
- 44:24Speaker 1: with him on this show in the ring, like he'll
- 44:27Speaker 1: get plenty of vignettes, he'll bump into somebody in the
- 44:30Speaker 1: backstage area, so like he has a presence on the show.
- 44:34Speaker 1: But I've been waiting for them to really get going
- 44:36Speaker 1: with him against someone in like an actual real singles program.
- 44:41Speaker 1: And tonight we at least had a proper wrestling match
- 44:44Speaker 1: with him that went, you know, a decent amount of time.
- 44:47Speaker 1: We need to see more of that. He's been back
- 44:49Speaker 1: now for so many months. I mean he came back
- 44:51Speaker 1: after WrestleMania, right, so that would have been late April.
- 44:54Speaker 1: It's now September. What have they really done with Alistair
- 45:00Speaker 1: Black since he's been back, Not a whole hell of
- 45:03Speaker 1: a lot. So I appreciate the fact that we actually
- 45:07Speaker 1: had him wrestling against somebody with some name here on
- 45:10Speaker 1: this show and he won. It would have been a
- 45:12Speaker 1: huge mistake for him not to win. My hope is
- 45:15Speaker 1: that because it definitely is not a case where this
- 45:18Speaker 1: is over, especially the way they did that finish. So
- 45:20Speaker 1: they're going to run this back at least one more time,
- 45:22Speaker 1: maybe twice. My hope is that, you know, it ends
- 45:26Speaker 1: up on a pl at some point. That's what they
- 45:30Speaker 1: did with Seamus and russev Right. They had two matches,
- 45:33Speaker 1: the deciding one they threw on the Clash in Paris
- 45:35Speaker 1: card and look what happened. It ended up being one
- 45:37Speaker 1: of the best things on the entire show. So, with
- 45:40Speaker 1: any luck, whether it's Crown Jewel, we'll see. Hopefully they
- 45:44Speaker 1: are able to get at like a proper pl match
- 45:47Speaker 1: at some point to blow this off the right way.
- 45:51Speaker 1: We got a Twisted Tea sponsored video promo with comments
- 45:55Speaker 1: interspersed from both Drew McIntyre and Ran and they exchange
- 46:01Speaker 1: words about one another ahead of their match, which is
- 46:05Speaker 1: going to be taking place next Friday night on SmackDown.
- 46:09Speaker 1: They also mentioned that Brock Lesner will be on next
- 46:12Speaker 1: week's show live, so maybe we'll get our explanation then
- 46:16Speaker 1: from Brock about why now? Why now? Maybe it's as
- 46:20Speaker 1: simple as you know what, John, I hear you're leaving.
- 46:23Speaker 1: I can't let that happen. I can't let you leave
- 46:25Speaker 1: without one more ass kicking for good measure, right something.
- 46:29Speaker 1: So I guess maybe next week we'll finally hear from him.
- 46:35Speaker 1: And they also announced that Tiffany Stratton is defending her
- 46:37Speaker 1: Women's championship next Friday against Jade Cargill. So I like
- 46:41Speaker 1: that they announced a bunch of things in advance, and
- 46:43Speaker 1: some big things too. I mean Orton and McIntyre's a
- 46:45Speaker 1: big match, the women's title match. I was wondering if
- 46:48Speaker 1: they might save that for Russell Palooza. They're going to
- 46:51Speaker 1: do it next week. They've already said Brock is going
- 46:53Speaker 1: to be there, so they've already, you know, set up
- 46:56Speaker 1: a pretty big show next week. The doing the Orton
- 47:00Speaker 1: and McIntyre match on TV, to me, it all but
- 47:03Speaker 1: confirms that they're they're gonna go with Cody and Drew
- 47:05Speaker 1: Wreussell Palooza, and obviously that's going to be the direction.
- 47:09Speaker 1: But there's been some talk about maybe he won't be
- 47:12Speaker 1: done with street fighter stuff and he may miss the
- 47:14Speaker 1: show and they might do Orton and McIntyre on that
- 47:17Speaker 1: show in Indianapolis. The fact that they're doing it on
- 47:19Speaker 1: TV next week, I mean, look, is it possible we
- 47:23Speaker 1: get no winner and then they run it back at
- 47:25Speaker 1: the pl It's possible. But the fact they're doing it
- 47:27Speaker 1: next week, tells me that we're getting Cody and Drew
- 47:30Speaker 1: on that first ESPN show. I cannot imagine they want
- 47:33Speaker 1: to go and have that first big ESPN show and
- 47:37Speaker 1: not have the WWE champion defending his title on that show.
- 47:41Speaker 1: We already know Seth Rollins is not defending the World
- 47:43Speaker 1: Heavyweight title. You have to have a WWEE Championship match
- 47:47Speaker 1: on that show. So not only will we get Cody
- 47:49Speaker 1: and Drew on September twentieth, but I would imagine next
- 47:52Speaker 1: week we will get Cody Roads back on TV. That
- 47:54Speaker 1: would seem like the perfect place for him to make
- 47:57Speaker 1: his return and to target Drew McIntyre for what Drew
- 48:00Speaker 1: did to him now. Kathy Kelly interviewed Tiffany Stratton backstage
- 48:05Speaker 1: and she talked about beating Jade in their match next week,
- 48:09Speaker 1: just like she did at SummerSlam. They cut to Jade,
- 48:11Speaker 1: who was watching the promo on a monitor in the
- 48:14Speaker 1: back somewhere. Jade was then confronted by Nya Jacks. This
- 48:19Speaker 1: will never ever end having Naya in this general orbit
- 48:26Speaker 1: of Tiffany and Jade, it will never end. She showed
- 48:32Speaker 1: up here. Jade told Nya that she could get in
- 48:35Speaker 1: line for a shot at the title after she beats
- 48:37Speaker 1: Tiffany next week, or we can go sort it out
- 48:40Speaker 1: in the ring right now, and Nya chose to walk
- 48:43Speaker 1: away instead. They also showed Becky Lynch backstage in Nick
- 48:48Speaker 1: Aldos's office all this wanted to know why she was there.
- 48:50Speaker 1: He told her, look, I can't have any more issues tonight,
- 48:54Speaker 1: and she said, I never cause issues and she walked off.
- 49:02Speaker 1: Saw Saw in the chat says, Tiffany is the backstage
- 49:07Speaker 1: women's champion. It feels like it right she is the
- 49:12Speaker 1: backstage women's champion. We had Julia. Speaking of women's champions,
- 49:19Speaker 1: we have the United States Champion, Julia, and she has
- 49:25Speaker 1: Keana James with her in her corner taking on Meechen
- 49:30Speaker 1: and I I saw her walk out here and I
- 49:32Speaker 1: just thought, holy shit, do my eyes deceive me? Or
- 49:37Speaker 1: is that Julia on my screen? I can't believe it
- 49:41Speaker 1: an actual Julia match. You would have a better chance
- 49:45Speaker 1: of finding Bigfoot or Lockness than finding Julia wrestling a
- 49:51Speaker 1: match and defending her championship on this show. So the
- 49:53Speaker 1: fact that she actually wrestled tonight is a step up
- 49:58Speaker 1: from what they've had her doing. But she's on her
- 50:00Speaker 1: way out to the ring, and thankfully, thankfully, we went
- 50:07Speaker 1: to commercial sixty seconds into this, so I don't want
- 50:11Speaker 1: to be too overwhelmed by this wrestling shit, so thankfully
- 50:14Speaker 1: they went to a commercial break. Sixty seconds into this.
- 50:17Speaker 1: They come back from break, both women are trading headbuts
- 50:21Speaker 1: and German sup plex is followed by a double kick
- 50:23Speaker 1: that left both women down. Miechen landed a cannon ball
- 50:27Speaker 1: in the corner. She went for eat defeat. Julia counted
- 50:30Speaker 1: with a Northern Lights bomb for a two count. Michin
- 50:33Speaker 1: responded with a sitout power bomb for a near fall.
- 50:37Speaker 1: So at this point, Keana James gets up on the
- 50:40Speaker 1: apron because apparently Julia cannot beat Michen without some help.
- 50:45Speaker 1: Keana James gets up on the apron. We got a
- 50:47Speaker 1: very clunky looking spot here where Julia I believe she
- 50:51Speaker 1: fell into the ropes, like into the second rope, and
- 50:55Speaker 1: Keana had to sell it and she had. Kiana ended
- 50:57Speaker 1: up basically draped over the middle rope from the apron
- 51:01Speaker 1: and Michin dropped the leg on her. This was this
- 51:04Speaker 1: just looked terrible. Unfortunately for Michen. That left her open
- 51:08Speaker 1: to Julia's arrive. Der Chini and then Julia got the
- 51:12Speaker 1: three count and after the match was over, Kana attacked
- 51:15Speaker 1: Michen and had to be pulled away by referees. Uh
- 51:20Speaker 1: h yeah. First of all, the crowd didn't give a
- 51:25Speaker 1: shit about this. Crowd did not care. Crowd has not
- 51:29Speaker 1: been given any reason to care. And that's what makes
- 51:33Speaker 1: the whole Julia things so sad. They were very quick
- 51:36Speaker 1: and very eager to put a championship on her, and
- 51:41Speaker 1: then the follow up to that has been horrendous. And
- 51:46Speaker 1: when Julia comes out and gets crickets, people noticed this
- 51:50Speaker 1: and people will blame Julia for this. I'm sure it's
- 51:53Speaker 1: already happening, but if it is, and it will, it
- 51:55Speaker 1: will be Sue and people will be talking about how
- 51:58Speaker 1: Julie is not over or this is not working. Bah
- 52:01Speaker 1: blah blah blah lah. Let me ask you a question.
- 52:05Speaker 1: What has WWE done exactly to help get Julia over
- 52:10Speaker 1: on this show? Right? They threw a belt on her,
- 52:12Speaker 1: They were really quick to do that. They put Keana
- 52:15Speaker 1: James with her, which I initially I said, hey, you
- 52:17Speaker 1: know what, this might not be a bad idea her
- 52:20Speaker 1: representative right or her mouthpiece. It's very clear to me
- 52:24Speaker 1: that this is designed more to get Keana James over
- 52:27Speaker 1: than it is to get Julia over. That's number one.
- 52:30Speaker 1: Number two, they are not doing they are not accentuating
- 52:35Speaker 1: what I feel are Julia's strengths. Julia should have come
- 52:41Speaker 1: in here, and even her run at NXT, she had
- 52:44Speaker 1: a nice it wasn't that long, but she had a
- 52:46Speaker 1: nice running NXT. But what I think you need to
- 52:49Speaker 1: really tap into here is that Osca element from when
- 52:53Speaker 1: Oscar debuted in NXT. She was a killer. She was
- 52:57Speaker 1: a killer. She would work, you know, kind of a
- 52:59Speaker 1: little on the stae and her matches, but they portrayed her,
- 53:02Speaker 1: and they did this with SHANEA Basler in NXT as well,
- 53:05Speaker 1: So it's a formula that fucking works. But they portrayed
- 53:09Speaker 1: these women like killers, right, and they're unstoppable. Nobody can
- 53:13Speaker 1: beat them. They're vicious in the ring. That's what makes
- 53:17Speaker 1: them different. That's what they needed to do with Julia.
- 53:21Speaker 1: If you ever saw Julia or wrestle any of her
- 53:23Speaker 1: matches outside of WWE, I mean that should have been obvious,
- 53:26Speaker 1: like that's the right way to portray her on TV.
- 53:29Speaker 1: There is nothing about her and her presentation that screams
- 53:33Speaker 1: you know, dangerous in the way that Julia used to
- 53:36Speaker 1: be dangerous. There's nothing about her presentation that really would
- 53:40Speaker 1: give anybody a reason to be invested in her. Whether
- 53:44Speaker 1: it's as a babyface or a heel, it doesn't matter.
- 53:46Speaker 1: I mean, look, she's a beautiful woman, she's the beautiful madness,
- 53:50Speaker 1: and she obviously can wrestle, and that's great, so can
- 53:52Speaker 1: everybody else on the fucking roster. That's why they were
- 53:54Speaker 1: on TV. Of course they can wrestle. What is it
- 53:57Speaker 1: about them that separates them from everybody else in the division?
- 54:00Speaker 1: They put somebody with her, so what she doesn't do
- 54:04Speaker 1: anything on these shows, So when she gets a fucking match,
- 54:08Speaker 1: of course, nobody is going to react, and nobody is
- 54:10Speaker 1: going to care. People are gonna sit on their hands
- 54:11Speaker 1: and they're not gonna give a shit. And the more
- 54:15Speaker 1: that this continues, it will not work. And then eventually
- 54:19Speaker 1: they'll take the title off of her, and who the
- 54:20Speaker 1: hell knows what's gonna happen with Julie. It just makes
- 54:23Speaker 1: me sad. I was so excited, you know, we're finally
- 54:26Speaker 1: going to get Julia on TV. You know what, what
- 54:28Speaker 1: I've seen of her is really cool. She looks cool,
- 54:32Speaker 1: and this woman is going to be a star, right
- 54:34Speaker 1: she just has that whatever that intangible, whatever it is
- 54:37Speaker 1: about her, She can be a star, you know, in
- 54:40Speaker 1: a similar way that Oscar became a star. She also
- 54:43Speaker 1: had a certain charisma about her, but you were a
- 54:46Speaker 1: little afraid of her, and Julia could have had that.
- 54:49Speaker 1: She does not have that. Right now. They have watered down,
- 54:52Speaker 1: they have neutered her, and they have to change that.
- 54:57Speaker 1: She can be a real player in that division. She
- 55:00Speaker 1: could have a solid runs the United States champion. There's
- 55:04Speaker 1: nothing solid about what they have done with her so
- 55:06Speaker 1: far since putting that title on her, it's been nothing
- 55:09Speaker 1: but a complete disappointment. She could hardly buy television time
- 55:14Speaker 1: on most weeks. People have no reason to care. They
- 55:18Speaker 1: have no reason to care, and what they did here
- 55:21Speaker 1: was kind of the bare minimum of what they can do,
- 55:24Speaker 1: you know, your prototypical kind of get in and get out,
- 55:28Speaker 1: you know, mid card women's match here on SmackDown. Nobody
- 55:32Speaker 1: will remember it tomorrow. Nobody has a reason to especially
- 55:36Speaker 1: not with everything else that was on the show tonight.
- 55:37Speaker 1: It was a complete afterthought. They had time to kill
- 55:39Speaker 1: in the middle of the show. So this is what
- 55:41Speaker 1: they gave us, but they're putting in the bare minimum effort.
- 55:45Speaker 1: I don't see how that helps Julia. Putting a title
- 55:48Speaker 1: on somebody isn't enough. It's what you do with it.
- 55:53Speaker 1: The wrestler makes the title. The title doesn't make the wrestler.
- 55:56Speaker 1: What they are doing with the wrestler right now is underwhelming,
- 56:00Speaker 1: and it's unbelievable to me when I look at the
- 56:02Speaker 1: way that the US title on SmackDown has been portrayed
- 56:06Speaker 1: and booked and treated as compared to the Women's Intercontinental
- 56:09Speaker 1: title on Raw. Becky Lynch was on SmackDown tonight. She's
- 56:14Speaker 1: making appearances on both shows. You imagine Julia showing up
- 56:18Speaker 1: on Raw. Who would care? But Becky Lynchman, She's on Raw,
- 56:22Speaker 1: She's in the main events segment. She's back on SmackDown.
- 56:24Speaker 1: She's in the main events segment. She's having these killer
- 56:26Speaker 1: matches with Lyra Valkyria and different people, and nick Well,
- 56:29Speaker 1: we won't mention Nicki Bell's match, but look at what
- 56:32Speaker 1: they've done with Becky Lynch, look at what they've done
- 56:34Speaker 1: with Julia. You tell me. We got a video recap
- 56:43Speaker 1: of the Secret hervists last week taking out Charlotte Flair's knee.
- 56:47Speaker 1: Backstage live, Charlotte was I guess in the trainer's room
- 56:51Speaker 1: and she was lamenting her injury, her storyline injury. When
- 56:57Speaker 1: Alexa Bliss showed up to play doctor right down to
- 57:01Speaker 1: a doctor Lilly doll And to assure Charlotte that the
- 57:06Speaker 1: power of friendship will heal her pain, well, it was
- 57:13Speaker 1: two minutes of my life. I can never get back.
- 57:17Speaker 1: Actually even worse after this, I heard burn it down
- 57:21Speaker 1: and I'm like, oh God, he's here. We get him
- 57:26Speaker 1: on Mondays, we get the vision enough on Mondays. Now
- 57:29Speaker 1: he's on Fridays. It's seth Rollins, the world heavyweight champion
- 57:32Speaker 1: making an unannounced appearance, and he comes out in the crowd.
- 57:36Speaker 1: He shrutted out. He was on like the concourse for
- 57:40Speaker 1: the closing segment, but first a commercial. They come back
- 57:46Speaker 1: from commercial. Rollin said that tonight he's still in the crowd.
- 57:52Speaker 1: And Rollin says, tonight we would all be witnesses to
- 57:56Speaker 1: history because the legend of chicag I goes hometown hero
- 58:01Speaker 1: CM Punk would die for good and to do the
- 58:06Speaker 1: honors with him, Rollins introduced his sexy, brilliant, incredible Irish wife,
- 58:13Speaker 1: Becky Lynch and Becky made her way out to the
- 58:16Speaker 1: ring while Rollin's stayed in the crowd. You know, I think, honestly,
- 58:21Speaker 1: I am having commercial PTSD watching these shows, because he
- 58:26Speaker 1: said a few words here and he introduced Becky, and
- 58:28Speaker 1: I'm just like, I'm ready for it, Like I'm ready
- 58:31Speaker 1: for another commercial. I'm like, give it to me, give
- 58:33Speaker 1: it to me. I'm like, I'm thinking a commercial break
- 58:35Speaker 1: is coming. I'm Jonesan for one, you know. And then
- 58:37Speaker 1: there was no commercial. I'm like, oh my god, I
- 58:39Speaker 1: think we're done. I think we're done for the night
- 58:40Speaker 1: with the commercials. I think we are. I'm losing my
- 58:43Speaker 1: fucking mind watching these shows. So Becky Lynch comes out
- 58:49Speaker 1: and the crowd showers her with chance of a j Lee,
- 58:54Speaker 1: and she says, how dare you chant another person's name
- 58:57Speaker 1: while I'm standing in this ring? And she boasted about
- 59:01Speaker 1: being the greatest women's wrestler of all time. And it
- 59:04Speaker 1: wasn't just her saying it. She mentioned she mentioned Sports
- 59:08Speaker 1: Illustrated said it. I think Sports Illustrated said it. And
- 59:13Speaker 1: then she started insulting all of the Chicago sports teams
- 59:16Speaker 1: one by one. So she said the Blackhawks suck and
- 59:21Speaker 1: the Cubs suck, and the bulls suck. CM Punk sucks,
- 59:26Speaker 1: and all of you suck. So Punk entered to a
- 59:32Speaker 1: massive reaction from his hometown crowd. He made his way
- 59:35Speaker 1: down to the ring. Now again, Seth is still in
- 59:38Speaker 1: the crowd. So in the ring, it is CM Punk
- 59:43Speaker 1: and it is Becky Lynch. Punk said that this wasn't
- 59:47Speaker 1: about Becky, but rather her cowardly husband hiding up in
- 59:50Speaker 1: a skyboy. He wasn't really in a skybox. Lynch asked
- 59:54Speaker 1: how Punk's pride was feeling after what happened on Monday night.
- 59:57Speaker 1: That was when she smacked him around a few times.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: Punk acknowledged the aj Lee because they kept chanting aj Lee,
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: and so Punk Acknowledgy. He set her name. He did
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: the thing before she even came out. He acknowledged the
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: aj Lee chance. He then asked, Becky, do you actually
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: think that I don't have shooters who wouldn't get into
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: the ring and kick kick your ass. He called out
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: his sister, My sister's here in the crowd. He mentioned Bailey,
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: He mentioned Rhea Ripley. Maybe Rhea Ripley will show up
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: and we'll kick Becky's ass. So basically, you know, by
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: process of elimination here, he's eliminating all the options for
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: who might be coming out here in the spot. So
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: we knew it wasn't going to be Bailey, and we
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: knew it wasn't going to be Rhea Ripley, and we
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: knew it wasn't going to be Cmpunk's sister. What an
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: amazing surprise that would be if it was his sister.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: So he rules all of them out. Basically, she slapped
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: him again, smacked him right across the face, dared him
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: to find somebody to fight her. So Punk leaves the ring.
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: He starts speaking from the floor. He says that this
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: crowd knows that he would never put his hands on
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: a lady, but thankfully he has somebody who will. Then
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: it happened. Aj Lee's music hits her old music, the
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: music that we last heard her using in WWE. I
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: don't know if that's that probably wasn't Jim Johnson. That
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: was probably cfo's at that point. But whoever did it,
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: it was not deaf rebel. It was not some deaf
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: rebel monstrosity. Not yet give it time, but for now
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: she still has her old music, and everybody in Chicago
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: lost their minds, and this fucking building they went nuts
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: because it's been ten years and it's Chicago and she's
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: married to see Empunk, so of course they love aj Lee.
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: She comes out and again not unexpected but just an
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: insane reaction for her, and she looks great, and she
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: skips her way down to the ring like it was
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: twenty fifteen all over again. And you hear, you know,
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: light it up, light it up. Don't tell Travis Scott,
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: He'll light it up. And so she sees Punk and
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: kind of smiles at him because Punk is standing right
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: there by the apron, and then she proceeds to skip
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: all around the ring outside. Becky in the ring is
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: just shell shocked. She is selling the fear on her face.
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: She's just gobsmacked by what she is seeing here. So
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: aj is absorbing all of the holy shit chants. She
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: gets up on the apron, she gets in the ring,
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: She's sitting on the middle rope like she used to do,
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: and then aj charges her, tackles Becky to the ground
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: and starts raining punches down upon her. Punches and bunches
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: here to Becky Lynch. Becky tried to escape, didn't work.
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: Aj gave a she had her back on her feet.
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: AJ licks her hand and gives her a nice smack
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: right across the face, and then Becky is just flopping
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: around like a fish. She rolls out to the ring.
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: She bails to the bed because now Rollins has come down,
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: and Rollin's and her they bail down the aisle. Punk
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: gets back in the ring and AJ jumps into his arms,
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: as she did with so many other people when she
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: was being pushed, all the angles that she did with
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: fucking remember Caine, Remember that episode of Raw where AJ
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: came down with a cane mask on, But I remember
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: she jumped up in Caine's arms one. She did this
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: shit with everybody. I mean, see Im, Punk and Daniel Bryan.
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: She was playing all kinds of mind games with them
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: at one point and turning them against each other. I'm
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: telling you she was. She was a main event, featured
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: performer on that show consistently for months, and some people
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: maybe either weren't watching back then and don't realize it,
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: or they may have forgotten. You know, it wasn't just
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: that Aj was a Deevish chainampion, right, sure, she was
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: the Divas Champion and she would wrestle the other divas,
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: but she was one of the featured performers on Monday
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: Night Raw and SmackDown, but mostly Raw. She was the
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: Raw general manager at one point. She was a key
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: player on that show for a good two or three
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: year period. She had a lot of fans. She had
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: a big fan following, and she's been able to maintain
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: that following obviously over all these years. So that played
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: into the reaction that she got. Wasn't just some random
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: person showing up here. It was somebody who for a
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: while there was a big name on these shows that
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: people grew up watching. So she jumped up into her
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: husband's arms and they shared a kiss. At least I
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: think they did because the camera it was the perfect
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: moment they thought for the camera to cut away to
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: show us Seth Rollins's face in the aisleway. Then they
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: cut back to punkin Aj in the ring, and that's
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: how they went off the air. We got a fun,
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: happy ending here to this show in front of the
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: Chicago crowd. The worst kept secret in wrestling. Obviously, it
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: didn't hurt the reaction to any of this. People still
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: lost their minds. They were going to lose their minds
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: no matter what. Look, it's hard to keep surprises in
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: wrestling today. Somehow, Cody Rhodes was able to keep it
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: a secret that he and Brandy were having their second child.
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: It's rare, but there are times wore a brock, even
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: right at Summerslim. There are times where we get a
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: surprise that is genuinely a surprise. The way the storyline
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: was done, things that were said on TV, it was
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: going to be impossible. The fans themselves were chanting for
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: aj Lee, so again, you would have to just be
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: not paying attention to not have aj Lee's name on
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: your brain coming into this show tonight. People were going
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: to figure it out. People did figure it out, and
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: as you saw here, it didn't take away from the
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: reaction that she got. Becky I thought was great here.
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: She sold the shock of it great, and the attack
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: by aj I mean she was selling it like fucking
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: holy Field was throwing jabs at her, so that was great.
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: Aj is rocking more abs than her husband's got, so
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: she's looking great. Easily. The best part of the show
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: was the closing segment here. Actually I take that back,
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: I'm sorry. Easily the best part of the show the commercials.
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: I thought the commercials this week were quite great, a
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: step up from last week. That BK commercial I'm a
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: big fan of that. I can't wait to see what
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: they come up with next week. So the commercials easily
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: the best part of the entire show. After the commercials,
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: the return of aj Lee, and after the return of
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: aj Lee, the John Cena stuff and the match with
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: sammy'san at the beginning of the show, in that order,
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: those were the best parts of the entire show. Everything
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: else in the middle was just there. Priest in Black again,
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: solid match, but never really got out of that first gear.
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: I know they're gonna run it back again, maybe with
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: a stipulation, maybe on a pl at some point. It
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: was a perfectly fine television match. But if you saw
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: nothing else on this show, you missed nothing. You miss nothing.
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: You watch the John Cena stuff at the beginning, it
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: takes up the first forty five minutes of the show,
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: and then you watch that closing segment. That is what
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: SmackDown was all about tonight. You know, people were coming
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: into this show saying that this is like the biggest
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: SmackDown of the entire year, you know, bigger than the
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: post WrestleMania SmackDown. It felt that way coming into this
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: show at a time when SmackDown has been very hard
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: to watch. SmackDown has not been that good. You're being
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: honest with yourself. SmackDown has not been a fucking good show.
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: This was a show where people felt like they were
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: genuinely excited, like they were actively looking for I can't
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: wait to watch SmackDown, especially coming out of that teas
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: on Monday. So I was looking forward to the show
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: tonight and the key segments that had to deliver. They
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: did with they had to do, but you'd take one
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: or both of those out, and boy, this show is.
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: The show is in some trouble right now. And it
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: doesn't help that they've been without the WWE champion now
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: for what's it been three weeks, maybe a month, probably
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: about three weeks right since they did the injury angle
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: with Cody. It's tough. John Seen is not on the
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: show every week. John Seen is not on the show
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: at all anymore. Brock is back, and Brock's part time
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: at best. Cody's been away filming his movie. Kevin Owens
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: got hurt. It sucks he's not around anymore. Randy Orton
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: barely shows up. You know, he's got that sweet, that
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: sweet schedule. Good for him, then he's earned it, but
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: it hurts the rest of the show. That's why we
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: get the MFT so much. That's why they feel so overexposed.
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: I mean, I'd be very happy for them to overexpose
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: a faction if they actually had a story that was ongoing,
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: that was interesting and for a while that was the
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: bloodline until they ran that into the ground and they
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: did everything they could with it. But for a while there,
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: especially when Sammy was part of the Bloodline, that was
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: appointment television here on this show, like episodic week to
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: week television, developing stories and characters, and it carried SmackDown
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: until it didn't. They don't have anything like that right now,
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: the MFTs. They ain't it. They just don't have anything
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: like that on this show right now. So tonight the
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: excitement level was there. I wish that it could be
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: there like that every week. Next week, they've already announced
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: McIntyre and Randy Orton, they've already announced the women's championship
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: match with Tiffany and Jade Brock will be there. So
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: they've already told you there's some big things happening on
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: the show next week. Hopefully some of this can carry
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: over to that. Let's take a look at the Twitter
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: poll the report card. How would you grade? Smack down
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: from Chicago? Sixty six percent give this show a A grade,
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: Twenty three point eight percent give this show a B.
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: Just four and a half percent give this show a C.
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: See I would have given this show a C because,
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: as the Cookie Monster would say, C is for commercials.
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: And then five point eight percent give the show a D.
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: That's with almost two thousand votes in look at that shit,
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: so you can vote and follow along at Solemn Monster.
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: Eight out of fifteen on the bonus supercheck goal. That's
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: for the bonus B the Booker. We're getting to be
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: the Booker no matter what tonight. Today's episode is sponsored
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: by Hymns. It's an experience a lot of men are

- 1:12:46Speaker 1: Take a look at your messages, Got some good ones
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: in here. Retro says most weeks, I forget the MFTs
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: even exist. How is that possible? They're all over these shows, dude,
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: How do you forget? If there's one thing I can't
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: say is that I forget about the MFTs. They don't
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: let me forget about the MFTs. It's impossible to forget
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: about the MFTs. What show are you watching we kick
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: off here with death scythe I hope you're having a
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: good night. Jacob Fought Too recently was a guest on
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: The Rich Eisen Show and said that he would like
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: to have a match with Jeff Hardy one day. What
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: are your thoughts. I would love to see that match.
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: I know Jeff. I mean, Jeff had a great feud
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: there with Umaga. You know, another member of the dynasty
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: there who could work his ass off. They had some
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: great matches together. So I know Jeff's you know, a
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: lot older now than he was then. But I think
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: a Jacob Fought to Jeff Hardy match I think would
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: be would be good. I don't know if it'll ever happen,
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: but I'd be in favor of it. Holiday one ninety seven, Hey,
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: Solo Sena is scheduled to appear at Survivor Series on
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: November twenty ninth. Then there will be a two week
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: gap until his last match on Saturday Night's main event
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: on December thirteenth. Curious how they will build his last
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: match with no TV show appearances. Yeah, I have no
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: idea what they're going to do as far as the
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: opponent or how they want to build it up. Are
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: they going to announce an opponent. Are they going to
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: save it as a surprise. We don't know. We don't
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: know how they're going to work it. One thing we
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: do know is that John Cena will not have any
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: input into it, because John Cena is always reminding us
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: when he does interviews that he doesn't lobby for opponents,
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: and he just shows up to work and does what
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: he's told. So it comes down to whatever Triple Hs
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: in the creative team want to want to do with
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: John Cena. They did him dirty with that heel turn,
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: so I don't trust them. Terrible Dried Chicken. I am
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: convinced WWE's philosophy is still the same with or without Vince,
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: only catered towards an audience of one. Who is the audience.
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: It is the almighty dollar. It's usually how business works.
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know why you're shocked by this.
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: It is indeed the most important thing to them, But
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: I don't know why anybody would have expected that that
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: would be any different now. Joseph Stewart, Happy birthday to
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: the legend and icon Michael Keaton, and happy thirty third
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: anniversary to Batman. The animated series. Yes, Happy Birthday to
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: Michael Keaton, still my favorite Batman. Also buy or sell
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: The Mask or ace Ventura The Mask Holiday one ninety seven.
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: And the fact that Michin kicked out of Julia's Northern
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: Lights sup plex is exactly why the women's US title
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: scene is problematic. Then to drag the feud on, I
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: guess that's the end of the message. Yeah. Yeah, the
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: Northern Lights Bomb didn't win it, but the arrivederci ni did.
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: I think it should be the other way around. Northern
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: Lights Bomb should be how she is finishing off these opponents,
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: or at least you want to have a couple of
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: different finishes. That's fine, But yeah, for Mechen to kick
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: out of that in just a nothing match on TV
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: was very stupid. Dry Chicken says need more title belts
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: in WWE. The roster is bloated with talent. They got
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: nothing to lose US and intercontinental titles aren't valuable. Aw
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: Ring of Honor, TNA, Triple A, CMLL, New Japan and
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: other promotions have lots of title belts. Champions don't feel devalued,
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: they're less over ex Yeah, I couldn't disagree with you.
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: More like, you're so wrong on that, Like it hurts.
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: It hurts my soul to hear you say that you
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: think we need more belts in WWE. We do not
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: need more belts in WWE. Why would you think the
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: WWE needs more belts when they are showing you that
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: they barely know how to book the current belts that
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: they have. You think adding more belts they're gonna suddenly
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: get better at booking those belts? Are you out of
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: your mind? Did you not hear what I just said
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: about Julia? Did my feed cut out when I was
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: talking about her match? I mean, dude, come on, you
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: think that they add more mid car championships that that's
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: gonna help. It's gonna make things worse. That's the last
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: thing they need. Let them book the existing championship the
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: right way before they even consider adding more championships. I
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: think that would be a terrible idea. They want to
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: buy more belts to hold up their pants, that's fine.
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: Championship belts absolutely not. He also says, see, I'm Punk
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: told aj Lee I have the time of my life
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: and I owe it all to you. Ce Im Punk
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: and a J Lee are going to have bad ideas
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: for both Seth and Becky did. I don't even think
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: aj had a finish does she have a finishing maneuver?
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: I don't even remember. Dennis Hickey. Hey, Solo, love your videos.
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: Have you watched Dexter or Dexter Resurrection? If you did,
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: what was your opinions on it? No spoilers. You know
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: a good friend of mine was a big fan of
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: the original Dexter series. I never watched it, although there
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: was some that was there one or two spinoff or
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: prequel series because I know one of them just got
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: canceled and it apparently the first season was very well
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: received and did well, and they just announced that after
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: announcing it was greenlit I think for a second season,
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: they just announced that in fact, it's canceled because they're
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: trying to save money. But no, I haven't seen any
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: of the Dexter shows, Anthony Wolf. He Solo signed up
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: for a VPN with your link and watched SmackDown for
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: the first time in years. Thanks for the help and
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: all you do. Well, that's very cool, Anthony. I'm very
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: happy to hear it. I should have remembered to do
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: that tonight because I too, am paying for that VPN
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: and it is a great resource and it would have
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: saved me a lot of commercials tonight had I used
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: it to watch the SmackDown Show. That link, by the way,
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: is in the description down below. You two can take
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: advantage of it only if you're a sound off listener
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: birthday boy. At this point, WWE is unwatchable and AJ's
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: return changes nothing. But they can't have two ajs, So
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: how about we get styles in AEW we're the best
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: wrestled hick dude. He had the chance to go when
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: his last the contract was up. He had the chance
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: to leave and go to AW He's got friends there,
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: he opted not to go. Orioles Peak with the ten dollars,
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: you see, if we're caught up here on this list,
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: so I can start scrolling not yet, still got some
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: early ones here, orioles Peak, thank you for the ten
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: says between Naomi, Nicki, Alexa, Trish and aj Lee. That's
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: why I never listened to anyone who disrespected the Divas era.
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: They never suffer from lack of talent, they suffered from
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: lack of opportunities. Well, it was a lack of opportunities
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: and in some cases a lack of talent, not necessarily
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: in the names you've mentioned, but there were definitely some
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: women in the ring who had no business being in
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: the ring. Broley seven says it took Becky for something
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: interesting with the women to occur on SmackDown. They desperately
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: need help and a draft. Compared to Raw Is Night
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: and Day, there is no draft needed, Braley, there's no draft.
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: You don't need a draft. The draft is a dead concept.
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: You can move the chess pieces around any time you
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: want to, You can have trades between the two general managers.
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: We do not need a draft, at least not the
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: way they used to do it, because those draft TV
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: shows that they do are fucking boring. I don't ever
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: want to see a draft show for the rest of
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: my life. Orioles Peak. Bring Total Divas and the Divas
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: Championship back, orioles Peak. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, Alex with
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: a ten dollars super chat, what's going on? Alex? Alex
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: says she may not be the greatest female in ring wrestler,
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: but aj Lee's charisma and personality is generational. Fantastic opener
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: and closing segments, and thank you for another excellent review.
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: Thank you Alex. I appreciate that Jack Glancy with a
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: learning tree. Let's all thank Jungle Jack Off, Tony Clown,
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: and the Young Cus for making this possible. AJ is
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: still and always will be fine. Cmpunk is a lucky soob.
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: He married well, he married well, Bobby means. On September twentieth,
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: it's aw's all out versus WWE's wrestle Palooza. After the
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: results of tonight, I'm afraid all at is officially on
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: life support. Well, they're no longer heads ahead directly. Actually
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: they will be, but only only briefly. Now. I have
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: a lot more to say about that on the sound
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: off this weekend Death's Side. If we get Punk and
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: Cody at WrestleMania one of these years, do you think
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: that it could potentially be this generation's Rock Austin at
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: WrestleMania X seven. I don't. I don't like making those comparisons.
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: I mean, like, what does that? What does that even mean? Right,
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: Austin Rock at WrestleMania seventeen was an excellent match. Does
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: that Are you saying that Cody and Punk will have
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: an excellent WrestleMania made event? Probably? Yeah, I would hope.
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: So comparing it to Rock and Austin, though. Is it
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: going to be remembered twenty years from now as the
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: greatest or one of the greatest WrestleMania main events of
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: all time? Probably not. Is it going to be a
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: generational match? Probably not. But like I hate even making
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: those comparisons, Holliday says, I believe that if they do
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: Seth and Punk at WrestleMania, it has to be inside
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: Helen a Cell to close their feud. I mean I
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: could see it. I don't know. I mean, we did
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: that with Punk and Drew. Do it again with punkin Seth.
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: I mean you could. It would have to have some
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: kind of stipulation. I agree. I don't know that it
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: has to be Helen a Cell, but Helen a Cell
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: is a stipulation that should be used to blow off
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: a big blood feud. So I mean it fits the criteria.
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: Dev to dust. Why are the Jets and Giants called
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: the New York Jets and New York Giants when their
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: stadium is in New Jersey because we don't have one
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: in New York. I don't know what to tell you, brother,
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: I didn't name the teams. Bass Bears says, Light it
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: Up Broley seven, have the same person, have the same
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: person writing for the women on Raw to write for
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: the for the SmackDown. They lucky Tiffany is over, otherwise
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: she would be in the same place as Julia. Yeah,
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: the women scene right now on SmackDown is it's quite
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: It's quite desperate. It is quite desperate death side. Why
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: can't wrestlers just do what Randy Orton once did when
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: def Rebel tried to change his music and tell them
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: to fuck off. You're not changing my muse because that's
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: Randy Orton. Most wrestlers are not Randy Orton, so they're
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: not going to be able to Uh. I mean, look, dude,
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: even Seamus can't get his old music back. He finally
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: gave up. They gave it back to him for like
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: two weeks, and then they took it away from him.
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: If Seamus can't get his music back, what makes you
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: think that some of these people on the roster are
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: going to be able to get their music back. There's
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: no way. They have no chance. Curtis Curtis tally with
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: in nineteen ninety nine, Michael Cole missing the Angle Slam
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: and Edge of Spear and seen his match was a
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: little frustrating. Yeah, it was. It was like, dude, are
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: you watching the same thing that I'm watching? Like the
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: angle slam, which is funny because he just calls it
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: like a back suplex, like it's just another move. And
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: Sina took about five business days to actually get him
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: up and over for the move too, so he had
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: plenty of time to realize what it was that he
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: was watching there. Top Thumper, I haven't watched a full
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: wrestling program in years for aj Lee. I watched a
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: full wrestling program tonight, he asked. But top Thumper, what
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: did you think of the show overall? He said, you
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: haven't watched a full show in years? Now you did,
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: you didn't give me your review of the show. Uh.
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: Fire Panda always good to hear from firepan I appreciate
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: that top bomb tonight from fire Panda. Somewhere a twelve
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: year old panda a very very happy or is very
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: very happy to see aj Lee back in WWE. Oh
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: based on what we heard there in Chicago tonight, I
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: would wager that there are a lot of people who
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: are very happy to see aj Lee back in WWA.
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: Death Side. I also hope we get seen a fatu
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: and if anyone says we can't because Fatu is on
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: SmackDown and seen It is on Raw to that, I say,
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: what brand split? Yeah? I mean that's that's why you
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: know people mentioned the draft. I'm like, why they're gonna
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: do what they want anyway? The hell do you need
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: a draft? Foresh you wanna you wanna shake the rosters up,
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: shake them up. You don't need a draft to do that.
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: People are gonna go from one show to the other regardless,
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: So it doesn't matter, Holiday says. If Rheo wins the
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: world title at Crown Jewel, Eo Sky should be traded
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: to SmackDown, Naya can be traded to Raw or Jade.
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: If she doesn't win the title, They're gonna have to
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: make some kind of move here because SmackDown needs help
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: more than Raw does right now, and then we'll see. Also,
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: once Bianca comes back, where does Bianca bell Air fit
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: into things? Mark Martinez. I think it'll be Brock then
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: AJ on Raw Dom at Survivor Series since it'll be
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: in San Diego and gunther as seen as last matches.
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: Been listening since twenty twelve. Thank you, Mark, thirteen years
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: A long time, you know, what. I could see that.
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: I could see aj as a raw match, and even
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: something with Dom I could see that too, So I
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: think you may be onto something there. Doni Yasu says,
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: I'm just an aj Lee mark. I don't give a fuck.
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: You don't got to apologize to me for that. We
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: got a lot of aj Lee marks in the chat tonight,
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: We got a lot of aj Lee marks all over
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: social media tonight, windsor Guy twenty two. Aj Lee looked
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: Jack tonight so glad to see her back. She deserves it.
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: I hope she enjoyed that moment and was able to
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: take a minute to soak it all in. It looked
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: like she was looked like Punk was happier than she was.
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: He looked like a proud man out there. Nick Grosso says,
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: if Ria Ripley doesn't face Osca wrestled Palusa, would be
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: a good idea to make her either guest enforcer or
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: guest referee the eo Sky Stephanie Va Kier match, just
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: to make sure nobody interferes. No, because that would be
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: very unfair to Stephanie Va Kaire, That would be unfair
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: to the care Ria Ripley and Eosky have a friendship
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: that has played itself out on television. Now, if I
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: were Stephanie va Kaier and you said to me, you're
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: gonna make my opponent's friend the referee for the match,
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: I would say, fuck you, No, you won't because that's
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: very unfair. Wouldn't really make a lot of sense. It
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: would be a way to get her on the show,
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: but it wouldn't make any sense. Uh. Duff's VIDs. How
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: many people died on the Titanic A boatload? Christian says, Hi,
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: Hello TLA, Mark Bannon, who's your favorite wrestler who had
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: a second run? I mean Sean Michaels is probably at
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: the top of the list. Look at the second run
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: that he had. Find me a better second run than
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: him and the matches that he had during that run. Mark,
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: thank you. Though Duff's VIDs with the four ninety nine,
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: why was the whale said? It couldn't find it? Pipois
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: in life you suck couldn't find its? Pipis DJ blind?
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: Was this the best SmackDown ending ever? Uh? No, no
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: it is not. It's funny enough. He goes, it's up
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: there with the ending in two thousand and one when
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: everyone gave their finishers. Heady gets a sort of dude,
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: you just answered your own question. That is still that
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: is still the greatest ending. I'm happy for Aj though,
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: but no, it is not the best ending ever. Dev
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: to destays, remember when every New Yorker used to sound
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: like Robert de Niro and Harvey kaitel See. I'm proof
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: positive that every New Yorker does not sound like that.
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: Not every New Yorker does not sound like Vince Russo
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: bro I'm proof of that. Dried Chicken says this is
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: a low bar here, but this he says he would
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: take his chances of watching Ashby Elegance and Aj Francis
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: on TNA over SmackDown's creative good luck with that. The
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: bar may be low, but let's not Let's not take
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: it down to the basement quite yet. Duffs Vid says,
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: my dentist pulled out the wrong tooth. He said it
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: was accidental. It's just awful. It's just awful. Holliday says,
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: Predicting Charlotte or Elect accidental. Predicting Charlotte or Alexa wins
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: the women's US title. Next in Charlotte Slash Elect, a
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: feud for the title into WrestleMania. At least it is
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: wishful thinking. At least it would bring some level of
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: prestige to the United States Championship. I don't hate it
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: retro koh, sorry to say, but I fully expect AJ
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: gets deaf rebeled by Russell Palooza, if not on the
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: night of Sorry, I don't make the rules f deaf Rebel.
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: So what's the opening kind of salvo going to be
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: for AJ's new theme? Light it up? And then some
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: awful electronic instrumental generic garbage boomerang? When I heard aj
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: Lee's music hit, I heard Bobby Heenan in my head,
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: go you're in deep do doo tonight? Pal, Yeah, I
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: thought you were going to say you heard Bobby Heenen
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: in your head? Go yeah, But whose side is she on?
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: Whose side is she on? Uh? Duffs A man that
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: was a slam dunk there was right there, man. You
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: should have taken the anyway Duff's VIDs with a nine
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: ninety nine man. Duff Duffs is flexing some muscle here tonight.
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: I went to the beekeeper to get twelve bees. I
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: counted and he gave me thirteen. I said, sir, you
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: gave me an extra bee, he said, that's a that's
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: a freebie, son of a bitch. Thank you, Duffs. Yeah,
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: we gotta figure out what the what the beginning of
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: this new aj Lee music is gonna sound like? Maybe
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: somebody like all the way in the back of the
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: room or something. Light it up. Let's light it up.
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: I don't know, We'll have to come up with something. Irenzo.
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: What if the match with Lesner Sena is able to
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: squash him as kind of a get back for Summerslim
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: John Cena in twenty twenty five is not squashing anybody, dude,
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: I think that would be a huge disappointment. I mean,
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: some people would love to see Brocket squashed, but as
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: a pay per view main event, forty eight year old
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: John Cena is not squashing anything except the bug beneath
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: his boot. That's about it. Mactub. Do you think Orton
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: should have won it WrestleMania twenty five? I do, because
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: there was really no need for Triple H to win there,
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: and with Orton going over as the heel, you don't
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: close the show with that. Instead, you do the smart
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: thing and you close the show with the real main event,
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: which was sewn Michaels against the Undertaker. So that way,
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: if you're not ending with the WWE Championship match, because
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: Vince was not every year, but like most of the time,
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: he was very big, especially of WrestleMania, with giving people
- 1:37:07Speaker 1: the happy ending in addition to whoever else he was
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: giving the happy ending to behind the scenes. So in
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: that case, if Orton was going to go over as
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: the heel Comayne and then you close with Sean and Undertaker.
- 1:37:22Speaker 1: But Randy Orton during that period in two thousand and nine,
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: he was just a fucking menace. That was probably the
- 1:37:27Speaker 1: best incarnation of Randy Orton. I wouldn't have beaten him.
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: I would have let him kept going. We've got a
- 1:37:39Speaker 1: white face with a nine to ninety nine AJ getting
- 1:37:44Speaker 1: the backstage vid of her signing her new wweek contract
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: with Triple H gleefully smiling the whole time. Suffice to say,
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: she is back back. So many daughters of her on
- 1:37:57Speaker 1: the current roster. So is that a video that they
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: I have not seen that video yet. So is that
- 1:38:04Speaker 1: a video that was posted? So she has signed a contract?
- 1:38:10Speaker 1: Or so say if that's super chat, Yeah, no, there
- 1:38:13Speaker 1: it is. That's there is indeed video of aj Lee
- 1:38:19Speaker 1: signing a contract. So she's back. I don't know if
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: that means full time like every single week, but she's back.
- 1:38:29Speaker 1: Good for her. The real cso too. I agree WWE
- 1:38:36Speaker 1: needs to do more with her. But people's complaint that
- 1:38:40Speaker 1: Juliet doesn't get TV time, but when she does, people
- 1:38:43Speaker 1: still complain. It isn't setting the world on fire. But
- 1:38:47Speaker 1: it's still TV time, dude, it's shit. Come on, dude,
- 1:38:50Speaker 1: don't make any excuse. Please, don't make excuses for them.
- 1:38:54Speaker 1: Don't make it well, it's still TV time. Sure, dude.
- 1:38:57Speaker 1: I could take a shit and I could put it
- 1:39:00Speaker 1: on a piece of paper and you can put it
- 1:39:03Speaker 1: on the floor and the camera can zoom in on it,
- 1:39:05Speaker 1: and you can give that four segments on the show. Right,
- 1:39:10Speaker 1: it's still shit. It's getting TV time, but it's still shit.
- 1:39:18Speaker 1: Don't make excuses for them. Powerful one moments like that
- 1:39:23Speaker 1: are what pro wrestling is all about. It makes it
- 1:39:26Speaker 1: the coolest thing in the world. Welcome back a j Lee.
- 1:39:29Speaker 1: It was a very cool moment. They're very big on moments,
- 1:39:36Speaker 1: and I do agree that it's really the moments are
- 1:39:39Speaker 1: what people remember. Whether it's a moment during a match,
- 1:39:44Speaker 1: or it's just outside the ring, if it's in a
- 1:39:47Speaker 1: promo segment, if it's a return, if it's a debut.
- 1:39:53Speaker 1: The Juliet three to sixteen just saw your tweet on
- 1:39:56Speaker 1: the ban on noncompete clauses not happening. I can't say
- 1:40:01Speaker 1: I'm surprised. Yeah, I'm not surprised either. Dried chicken without flavor.
- 1:40:06Speaker 1: But Juliette, thank you. Brother. Juliet's also with us every
- 1:40:09Speaker 1: single week dried chicken with a five. Sometimes I just
- 1:40:13Speaker 1: want to pull a nighto when it comes to the
- 1:40:16Speaker 1: WWE title belts. Just throw the belts in the air,
- 1:40:20Speaker 1: or drag them right, just throw them in the air.
- 1:40:22Speaker 1: Just drag him on the floor behind you, dirty him
- 1:40:26Speaker 1: up a little bit. Sorry, Roderick. Enjoy your dinner, though,
- 1:40:37Speaker 1: I'm sure it's delicious. Hopefully he's not having, you know,
- 1:40:40Speaker 1: meat loaf or anything. Mark says, Do I see AJ
- 1:40:47Speaker 1: winning another title? If so, which one? I could see
- 1:40:53Speaker 1: AJ winning the Intercontinental title at some point. I just again,
- 1:40:58Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm just hearing about this content track
- 1:41:00Speaker 1: that she's signed, so I will I will have to
- 1:41:03Speaker 1: find out what the nature of it is. Is it
- 1:41:05Speaker 1: a part time deal. Is it a Legends deal? I
- 1:41:08Speaker 1: don't know that will dictate whether or not I think
- 1:41:12Speaker 1: she will win a championship. Again, I don't know the
- 1:41:17Speaker 1: answer to that yet. The Boss Moo Jackson with a
- 1:41:25Speaker 1: pair of super chats. Hello, they're brothers. Solo. Hope all
- 1:41:28Speaker 1: as well. I hope all is well with you as well,
- 1:41:30Speaker 1: bossmo Jackson. Not an AJ fan. She's more character than wrestling.
- 1:41:37Speaker 1: She is, but we need that on the show as well.
- 1:41:42Speaker 1: Can't just be a it's all great wrestlers and no
- 1:41:47Speaker 1: substance beyond that. You know, with some people that's the case.
- 1:41:50Speaker 1: They're great wrestlers, but there just isn't much else there,
- 1:41:53Speaker 1: you know, or maybe they just haven't had the chance
- 1:41:55Speaker 1: to show off their personality. These television shows. They need
- 1:41:58Speaker 1: interesting personalities. I would much rather have an interesting personality
- 1:42:02Speaker 1: on these shows than someone who's a fantastic wrestler and
- 1:42:06Speaker 1: bores me to fucking tears. And maybe it's just how
- 1:42:11Speaker 1: bad some of these weekly shows have gotten that my
- 1:42:14Speaker 1: patience is just worn thin, that there's just so many
- 1:42:20Speaker 1: weeks go by and these shows, I mean, you can
- 1:42:23Speaker 1: get great matches, We get great matches every week, but
- 1:42:25Speaker 1: like give me something that grabs me. Give me characters
- 1:42:29Speaker 1: that are fun or just interesting in some way, and
- 1:42:33Speaker 1: we don't get enough of that. We get some of that,
- 1:42:36Speaker 1: sometimes we don't get enough of that. But I would
- 1:42:39Speaker 1: rather have characters like that that have charisma that can
- 1:42:43Speaker 1: be you know, engaging in some way. And if she
- 1:42:46Speaker 1: or he is not the best wrestler in the world,
- 1:42:48Speaker 1: if they're just okay and serviceable, that's fine, because you
- 1:42:51Speaker 1: know what, there's tons of great wrestlers out there. There's
- 1:42:56Speaker 1: plenty of great wrestlers out there, but what we see
- 1:43:00Speaker 1: on these shows each week has to be interesting enough
- 1:43:03Speaker 1: to get you to want to tune in the following
- 1:43:05Speaker 1: week to see those people and to see the stories
- 1:43:07Speaker 1: that they're involved in. And if they're boring as shit,
- 1:43:11Speaker 1: then that doesn't really do anybody any good. Powerful one though,
- 1:43:19Speaker 1: thank you again dropping a ten dollars super chat. How
- 1:43:22Speaker 1: many women on the roster do you think grew up
- 1:43:25Speaker 1: watching and idolizing this woman? Aj Lee is to them
- 1:43:28Speaker 1: what Trish Lieda and China were for many of us.
- 1:43:31Speaker 1: She's going to have a nostalgia run for the records. Yeah,
- 1:43:36Speaker 1: I mean there were people who came up during that
- 1:43:39Speaker 1: total Divas period, even though AJ was not a Total Diva.
- 1:43:42Speaker 1: She actually cut a pipe bomb on the Total Divas.
- 1:43:46Speaker 1: But it became fans during that period, and they probably
- 1:43:48Speaker 1: became fans of hers, and so to them especially, her
- 1:43:53Speaker 1: coming back brings them back to that time and it's
- 1:43:58Speaker 1: exciting for them. You know. I'm happy to see her
- 1:44:01Speaker 1: back because I always found her to be a fun
- 1:44:04Speaker 1: character on the show. You know, she added to the show.
- 1:44:08Speaker 1: You know, she can talk. I found her to be
- 1:44:10Speaker 1: one of the more interesting female personalities on the show,
- 1:44:15Speaker 1: and she was different than a lot of the other
- 1:44:17Speaker 1: divas that were on the show. I'm glad to have
- 1:44:20Speaker 1: her back. She doesn't have to be the best wrestler
- 1:44:24Speaker 1: in the world. You know, she was fine, but she's
- 1:44:29Speaker 1: a personality that I think will help I would hope
- 1:44:32Speaker 1: help enhance the shows with what they do with her.
- 1:44:36Speaker 1: DJ Blind you forgot the White Sox man six in
- 1:44:40Speaker 1: a row, six in a row that they've lost, or
- 1:44:44Speaker 1: six in a row that they've won. I'm going to
- 1:44:46Speaker 1: assume that they've lost Alexander. Where in the world is Iliya,
- 1:44:50Speaker 1: Dragon of Diego. I don't know, man, I could just
- 1:44:54Speaker 1: picture maybe that's his new gimmick when he gets back.
- 1:44:57Speaker 1: He's like the male version of Carmen san Diego. Where
- 1:45:02Speaker 1: in the world is Ilia? Oh word fourteen out of fifteen.
- 1:45:07Speaker 1: By the way, I just noticed on that bonus be
- 1:45:09Speaker 1: the booker goal. We got one more, one more there,
- 1:45:13Speaker 1: and we're going into bonus rounds the Bossmo Jackson. I
- 1:45:17Speaker 1: never got into the aj character. She's okay, Well, maybe
- 1:45:24Speaker 1: she'll get you into the character this time. It's been
- 1:45:26Speaker 1: ten years. Maybe she's got some new material to work with.
- 1:45:30Speaker 1: Arabian Night two. Well, she got a whole new roster
- 1:45:32Speaker 1: of women to work with, that's for sure. Arabian nine,
- 1:45:35Speaker 1: two thousand. The misuse of Julia should be studied. Crowds
- 1:45:38Speaker 1: don't care. Triple Ah dropped the ball on one of
- 1:45:41Speaker 1: the most talented female wrestlers in the last five years.
- 1:45:44Speaker 1: Shaking my head. The woman is money. They just haven't
- 1:45:50Speaker 1: been able to tap into that yet or feature her
- 1:45:55Speaker 1: in a way where she can be looked at on
- 1:45:59Speaker 1: that SmackDown brand. Truly is one of the top stars
- 1:46:02Speaker 1: on that brand, and she should be at a time
- 1:46:04Speaker 1: when SmackDown you compare the SmackDown women's situation roster. Whatever
- 1:46:09Speaker 1: you want to say, to what we have on RAW.
- 1:46:13Speaker 1: I mean, Raw clearly has the edge right now, but
- 1:46:16Speaker 1: given the state of SmackDown, Julia should be like top
- 1:46:19Speaker 1: three right now, like top three, top five. She's not
- 1:46:23Speaker 1: even She's not even there. I don't care. I don't
- 1:46:25Speaker 1: care what title you put on her. She's not even
- 1:46:28Speaker 1: there yet. I know she can get there, but the
- 1:46:31Speaker 1: fact that she's not and she's been up now for
- 1:46:33Speaker 1: several months is frustrating. Also, he says, we're getting ads
- 1:46:38Speaker 1: galore on Wressel Palooza like Saturday night's main event. I God,
- 1:46:43Speaker 1: I hope not. But you know what, I don't know.
- 1:46:45Speaker 1: It's ESPN now, the ESPN app. I don't know what
- 1:46:49Speaker 1: it's like on there. I wonder how many people are
- 1:46:52Speaker 1: going to be severely confused when they put the actual
- 1:46:56Speaker 1: ESPN channel on, expecting to see Wrestle Palooza and then
- 1:47:01Speaker 1: they realized, because my understanding is it's not actually airing
- 1:47:04Speaker 1: on ESPN. They keep saying ESPN because that's the name
- 1:47:07Speaker 1: of the of the you know, direct to consumer service.
- 1:47:14Speaker 1: I think you're gonna have some very confused people. Uh.
- 1:47:21Speaker 1: The Boss Bo Jackson, lesnar f FIV or anyone at
- 1:47:24Speaker 1: his age is still fun to watch. He gets some
- 1:47:28Speaker 1: height on it. Man, they go flying through the air
- 1:47:34Speaker 1: death side. Who do you think had the scariest Titan
- 1:47:38Speaker 1: Tron video? For me, it was Chris Benoit and it's
- 1:47:41Speaker 1: even more unsettling now given the circumstances. Oh, is that
- 1:47:47Speaker 1: the one where he would just like he would scream.
- 1:47:51Speaker 1: It was just like his head and he was like
- 1:47:52Speaker 1: screaming and shaking. Yeah, that's that's that's pretty weird. I
- 1:47:58Speaker 1: had the scariest probably Steve Blackman. Man. If I saw that.
- 1:48:06Speaker 1: It's just various clips of Steve Blackman with the They
- 1:48:10Speaker 1: weren't nunchucks. They were I don't know what you would
- 1:48:14Speaker 1: call them. It's like sowt off kendo sticks. If I
- 1:48:19Speaker 1: saw that and I knew he was coming out, I'd
- 1:48:21Speaker 1: be pretty scared. Tuxedo t Servo WWE has a video
- 1:48:26Speaker 1: of AJ and Punk after the show. AJ danced around
- 1:48:29Speaker 1: with the IC title, kissed it, and then left with it.
- 1:48:31Speaker 1: Punk was having a great time. See, so there you go.
- 1:48:34Speaker 1: I mean I could absolutely see her winning the Intercontinental
- 1:48:38Speaker 1: Championship at some point. Will Mantick, I've been listening to
- 1:48:46Speaker 1: you since June of twenty twelve, says I used to
- 1:48:51Speaker 1: donate in the website you used to give names called
- 1:48:56Speaker 1: me Luis, Hercules Hernandez. Do you still have that web site?
- 1:49:02Speaker 1: I don't know what website you're talking about, but Luis,
- 1:49:04Speaker 1: I remember you, brother, I remember Hercules Hernandez. We haven't
- 1:49:07Speaker 1: heard you in the PayPal roll call for a while.
- 1:49:10Speaker 1: I thought you disappeared on me, But of course I
- 1:49:12Speaker 1: remember you. I hope you doing well. It's good to
- 1:49:18Speaker 1: hear from you. Jeremy Dyer thoughts on Matt Riddle's comments
- 1:49:23Speaker 1: on aj Lee. I thought that, first of all, I
- 1:49:25Speaker 1: don't know why anybody was even asking him about aj Lee.
- 1:49:29Speaker 1: Whatever show that was there was TMZ that he was on,
- 1:49:33Speaker 1: and I thought it was disgusting and completely uncalled for.
- 1:49:40Speaker 1: Robert Lee says double be the booker. Ah, yes, I
- 1:49:44Speaker 1: just noticed we did. We unlocked the goal, We unlocked
- 1:49:52Speaker 1: the bonus rounds awesome powerful one very few women in
- 1:50:00Speaker 1: on the roster or all time, really who could cut
- 1:50:02Speaker 1: a promo and talk people into the building like aj could.
- 1:50:06Speaker 1: I'm sure she still can. She had a way on
- 1:50:10Speaker 1: the microphone that not everybody did, and that I think
- 1:50:16Speaker 1: that is what I am looking forward to. Also getting
- 1:50:19Speaker 1: that first kind of in ring promo segment with her
- 1:50:23Speaker 1: and Becky, because we've seen what Becky can do as
- 1:50:26Speaker 1: a heel. I mean it's one thing like tonight she
- 1:50:28Speaker 1: was insulting the sports teams. That's low hanging fruit. But
- 1:50:31Speaker 1: I think Becky for the most part has been really
- 1:50:33Speaker 1: good when it comes to you know, like her promo
- 1:50:36Speaker 1: work during this heel run. Put her in the ring
- 1:50:38Speaker 1: with AJ on Monday and let them go back and forth.
- 1:50:42Speaker 1: That's what I'm looking forward to see how that goes.
- 1:50:46Speaker 1: Paul Carpenter, remember the Slickster married AJ and Daniel Bryan.
- 1:50:51Speaker 1: My god, I forgot about that? Was it slick? I
- 1:50:56Speaker 1: think it was. I forgot about that Navy forty one
- 1:51:07Speaker 1: eighty one with the nine ninety nine that used to
- 1:51:10Speaker 1: be the cost of the WWE network. Boys, it's a
- 1:51:15Speaker 1: lot different now. Remember when the network was just nine
- 1:51:18Speaker 1: to ninety nine a month. You got all the pay
- 1:51:21Speaker 1: per views, you had the library or part of the library.
- 1:51:25Speaker 1: They had actual original programming on there. The Edge and
- 1:51:29Speaker 1: Christian Show, what was the full name? The Edge and
- 1:51:32Speaker 1: Christian Show that Reeks of Awesomeness. They had that cartoon
- 1:51:36Speaker 1: Camp WWE. They had story Time, he says in two
- 1:51:43Speaker 1: thousand and two, if Hogan ended up his champion with
- 1:51:45Speaker 1: the nWo, do you think he would have spray painted
- 1:51:48Speaker 1: the Big Eagle belt. I've seen some impressive AI images
- 1:51:52Speaker 1: of that done to the winged Eagle already. Do not
- 1:51:55Speaker 1: do not deface the winged Eagle sacrilege. I don't. I
- 1:52:04Speaker 1: don't think they would have spray painted the belt. Oh
- 1:52:10Speaker 1: right along, yeah, right along was another one table for three.
- 1:52:14Speaker 1: I'm telling you, man, we didn't know what we had
- 1:52:16Speaker 1: with that network. They actually had really good original programming
- 1:52:22Speaker 1: to go with the archival content and then the pay
- 1:52:25Speaker 1: per views for ten dollars a month, like you can't
- 1:52:29Speaker 1: beat that. You can't beat that. Angel mah kanos with
- 1:52:39Speaker 1: the four ninety nine, no message, just showing some love. Angel,
- 1:52:42Speaker 1: Thank you man. Your super chats are very much appreciated.
- 1:52:45Speaker 1: They are the lifeblood of this channel. I very much
- 1:52:49Speaker 1: do appreciate it. The Bossmo Jackson says, EO, who's the
- 1:52:54Speaker 1: greatest tag team ever? EO, I'm not sure what she
- 1:53:02Speaker 1: has to do with it. Greatest tag teams though, and
- 1:53:07Speaker 1: the two that will always be first and foremost on
- 1:53:09Speaker 1: my mind when I get that question, Demolition and the
- 1:53:15Speaker 1: Heart Foundation. For other people, it might be the Road Warriors,
- 1:53:18Speaker 1: it might be the Steiner Brothers. It might be the
- 1:53:20Speaker 1: Dudley Boys, it might be the Hardy Boys, it might
- 1:53:24Speaker 1: be the USOS. If you're a newer fan Demolition or
- 1:53:29Speaker 1: the Heart Foundation, you can't go wrong that guy Jaeger
- 1:53:33Speaker 1: brother solo. Did you take one more step with Bully?
- 1:53:42Speaker 1: I can't spoil it. You gotta find out yourself. He
- 1:53:45Speaker 1: was getting pretty hot at me though, but I said.
- 1:53:48Speaker 1: The full thing is on the YouTube channel House of
- 1:53:51Speaker 1: Glory Wrestling. It just went up earlier today. You can
- 1:53:56Speaker 1: go check it out. Ryan Armstrong, AJ Lee's finisher, the
- 1:54:02Speaker 1: Black Widow. Oh that's right, yes, thank you, the Octopus
- 1:54:06Speaker 1: that was her finish, powerful one. Becky and AJ on
- 1:54:11Speaker 1: the mic, I'm picturing Roman Sena in twenty seventeen. No,
- 1:54:17Speaker 1: Becky could hold her own. I think AJ would too.
- 1:54:21Speaker 1: I don't think so. Roman was just woefully unprepared and
- 1:54:24Speaker 1: he was completely just destroy He was verbally eviscerated and
- 1:54:30Speaker 1: just embarrassed by John Cena on the mic that night.
- 1:54:33Speaker 1: I don't see that happening with Becky and AJ at all.
- 1:54:36Speaker 1: And Devin from NJ two thousand how would Solo have
- 1:54:39Speaker 1: ended the Elimination Chamber from this year? Would it be
- 1:54:42Speaker 1: Sina winning the chamber or still doing some kind of
- 1:54:44Speaker 1: angle at the end? I think it would have been
- 1:54:49Speaker 1: Seena winning the chamber. And then if you were if
- 1:54:53Speaker 1: you were going to turn him heel and had a
- 1:54:56Speaker 1: good plan for it, do the heel turn to WRESTLEMANI
- 1:55:00Speaker 1: it wouldn't have been ideal to build up to a
- 1:55:03Speaker 1: match like Sena and Cody's babyfaces because there's so much
- 1:55:06Speaker 1: alike and they're kind of vanilla, So I didn't really
- 1:55:11Speaker 1: like that idea. But like you look at it back
- 1:55:13Speaker 1: in hindsight, if they would have saved the turn for Mania,
- 1:55:16Speaker 1: it would have been a lot more impactful. But then
- 1:55:19Speaker 1: comes the follow up to that, and the follow up
- 1:55:22Speaker 1: wasn't great, So I wouldn't have done it at all.
- 1:55:25Speaker 1: But if you were going to progress in the direction
- 1:55:27Speaker 1: they ultimately went in, just end the Elimination Chamber, would
- 1:55:30Speaker 1: see it in Punk as the last two in there.
- 1:55:34Speaker 1: They go at it for a little bit and Sina
- 1:55:36Speaker 1: wins the chamber and you get that feel good moment
- 1:55:38Speaker 1: at the end of the show. They went for the
- 1:55:40Speaker 1: shock factor and that was great as a moment, it
- 1:55:43Speaker 1: was fantastic. We will look back on that moment, though,
- 1:55:46Speaker 1: and people will not look back at it in the
- 1:55:48Speaker 1: way that I think when it happened, people thought they
- 1:55:51Speaker 1: would look back at it because you do think about
- 1:55:54Speaker 1: what came next, and what came next sucked could have
- 1:56:00Speaker 1: been people think, oh, this is a generational that's like,
- 1:56:03Speaker 1: that could have been a generational moment in WWE history.
- 1:56:09Speaker 1: It's a great moment, but in retrospect, that's all it was.
- 1:56:15Speaker 1: That's all it was. It ended up meaning nothing. Holiday
- 1:56:22Speaker 1: one ninety seven. Tiffany has been champion for eight months
- 1:56:26Speaker 1: and her run has been blase, although she hasn't feuded
- 1:56:30Speaker 1: with many top stars. I think it's time for her
- 1:56:32Speaker 1: to drop the title and let Jade have a run.
- 1:56:35Speaker 1: Leading to Bianca, Well, I mean the question is, do
- 1:56:42Speaker 1: do you turn Jade heel? You know, like, does that
- 1:56:46Speaker 1: happen in the course of the match that way she's
- 1:56:49Speaker 1: a heel. Bianca comes back as a baby face to challenge,
- 1:56:53Speaker 1: you know, heal Jade, or if Jade is doing stuff
- 1:56:57Speaker 1: that Bianca doesn't necessarily improve of confront her about it.
- 1:57:02Speaker 1: I don't know. I still feel like Tiffany or Jade.
- 1:57:05Speaker 1: Probably Jade should go heal or will go heal. At
- 1:57:08Speaker 1: the end of all this, I don't know, Sees says.
- 1:57:17Speaker 1: Do you believe that EO Sky is the best wrestler?
- 1:57:20Speaker 1: I do in WWE? I do? I mean the top two,
- 1:57:29Speaker 1: the top two Gunther and Eosky, those are your two
- 1:57:33Speaker 1: best wrestlers in WWI the Bossmo Jackson, EO means in
- 1:57:40Speaker 1: your opinion, Okay, dude, I had no idea. I see EO,
- 1:57:44Speaker 1: I immediately think of EO Sky. That's hilarious. Actually, that
- 1:57:50Speaker 1: is hilarious. I'm like, EO the fuck? Cal? Hey, Cal,
- 1:58:03Speaker 1: what's going on? Twelve months of membership. I thought she
- 1:58:06Speaker 1: would have hit Becky with the Black Widow. She looks amazing.
- 1:58:10Speaker 1: Phil Brooks is a lucky man. I really like New
- 1:58:13Speaker 1: Day's New theme. You like New Day's New theme? Huh.
- 1:58:18Speaker 1: Let me see if I can give you a little
- 1:58:20Speaker 1: New Day's New theme here. It's your boys, the New
- 1:58:26Speaker 1: Dume do it quite as well as their theme. But eh,
- 1:58:32Speaker 1: it's all right, not great, but it's okay. I've heard
- 1:58:35Speaker 1: worse from deaf Rebel Grant Hudson. With nineteen months of
- 1:58:40Speaker 1: channel membership, I saw Hogan's cartoon is going to be
- 1:58:43Speaker 1: added to the vault. I remember my dad burned them
- 1:58:45Speaker 1: on CD for me when I was little. Yes, Hulk
- 1:58:48Speaker 1: Hogan's rock and wrestling cartoon from the nineteen eighties, if
- 1:58:51Speaker 1: you have not heard, is returning to the WWE Vault
- 1:58:55Speaker 1: channel on YouTube, and they're going to release them in bunches.
- 1:58:58Speaker 1: I think batches of four every Saturday morning, starting this morning,
- 1:59:04Speaker 1: because it's now officially Saturday morning. And I love that.
- 1:59:07Speaker 1: I love that they were releasing them on Saturday morning.
- 1:59:09Speaker 1: That's when I used to watch them when they would
- 1:59:11Speaker 1: come on TV. They did have them on Peacock for
- 1:59:16Speaker 1: a while or the network. It was one or the other,
- 1:59:19Speaker 1: and then something happened with Hogan. Trying to think if
- 1:59:23Speaker 1: it was maybe maybe it was the early days of
- 1:59:27Speaker 1: the network and when the Hogan sex tape and the
- 1:59:31Speaker 1: racist stuff leaked, maybe it was around then, but they
- 1:59:35Speaker 1: pulled it. So they had briefly put the episodes up
- 1:59:38Speaker 1: and then they pulled it. So now they're going to
- 1:59:41Speaker 1: start adding them to the vult channel on YouTube. So
- 1:59:47Speaker 1: Ray Phoenix is Ray Phoenix has a dope song, says
- 1:59:51Speaker 1: j L. Yeah, Ray Phoenix, who was on main event tonight.
- 1:59:56Speaker 1: That's where Ray Phoenix was Ryan Awesome. In two thousand
- 2:00:02Speaker 1: and nine, TNA's roster was stacked. What if Edge would
- 2:00:06Speaker 1: have jumped ship to the Impact Zone and how would
- 2:00:09Speaker 1: he have fared. I think Edge would have fared fine.
- 2:00:12Speaker 1: I mean, he would have had the same kind of
- 2:00:14Speaker 1: run that some of the other ex WWE guys had.
- 2:00:16Speaker 1: He would have won some championships, would have made a
- 2:00:19Speaker 1: huge difference in terms of where TNA was. No, it
- 2:00:26Speaker 1: wouldn't have made any difference. Dude. They had Hogan come in.
- 2:00:31Speaker 1: They had Hogan and Sting and Foley and Nash and
- 2:00:35Speaker 1: Flair and all these big names, and you know Edge
- 2:00:38Speaker 1: would have come in. He would have been another big WWE,
- 2:00:42Speaker 1: you know x WWE guy, and he would have had
- 2:00:44Speaker 1: some probably really good matches. But I don't think it
- 2:00:48Speaker 1: would have been He wouldn't have been like a needle
- 2:00:50Speaker 1: mover for them any more so than any of the
- 2:00:52Speaker 1: other names that I mentioned were. Kevin says commercials from
- 2:00:58Speaker 1: Hell do you think they will bring back page on
- 2:01:01Speaker 1: her Chris Van Vliet interview, she said she would love
- 2:01:04Speaker 1: to run with that character again, never saying ever, but
- 2:01:08Speaker 1: I feel like if they were interested in her that
- 2:01:10Speaker 1: they would have already brought her back by now. I
- 2:01:13Speaker 1: don't since there's a great interest there, do I think
- 2:01:15Speaker 1: that she will be back at some point, even if
- 2:01:17Speaker 1: just for some cameo appearances. Probably, yeah, But I don't
- 2:01:23Speaker 1: sense that they're itching to bring her back. Death Side
- 2:01:30Speaker 1: could Dark Side of the Ring Season seven feature Rick Rude,
- 2:01:33Speaker 1: buck Zumov, Ashley Massarohanna Komora, Ring Boy Scandal, Sean O'Hare,
- 2:01:38Speaker 1: ninety seven, Little Rock, West Virginia, Memphis or West Memphis Riots. Yeah,
- 2:01:45Speaker 1: the d X Riots. I've talked about all this stuff
- 2:01:48Speaker 1: on the show. By the way, those are all potential candidates,
- 2:01:51Speaker 1: and I think I've had many of those on my
- 2:01:53Speaker 1: own list. Buck Zumov is just an absolutely disgusting story
- 2:01:59Speaker 1: that is absolute the epitome of Dark Side of the Ring.
- 2:02:02Speaker 1: Hana Kamora the only thing about Hana Kimura. It might
- 2:02:04Speaker 1: still be a little too fresh for people, but I
- 2:02:08Speaker 1: think Daphne passed away four years ago and they just
- 2:02:11Speaker 1: did a story on her so they could do something.
- 2:02:13Speaker 1: When did Hana Kimura die? Was was that four years ago?
- 2:02:18Speaker 1: It's three or four years ago. Now it might still
- 2:02:21Speaker 1: be a little fresh. The Ring Boy Scandal. I don't
- 2:02:23Speaker 1: see the purpose in doing one on the Ring Boy scandal.
- 2:02:26Speaker 1: At this point, most of the people that are you
- 2:02:29Speaker 1: know or you would want to have interviewed for it
- 2:02:32Speaker 1: are dead. The others who might still be alive, they
- 2:02:36Speaker 1: wouldn't talk to you anyway. And I just feel like
- 2:02:39Speaker 1: it's been rehashed so many times at this point. If
- 2:02:43Speaker 1: they haven't already done it, I just I don't see
- 2:02:45Speaker 1: the point. But Rick Rude and Ashley Massaro, Yes, absolutely,
- 2:02:52Speaker 1: Sean O'Hair, I could see Sean O'Hair. Oh, she died
- 2:02:56Speaker 1: in twenty twelve. Wow, Hanna Kamura has been gone for
- 2:02:58Speaker 1: five years. That's crazy. I remember covering that at the
- 2:03:02Speaker 1: time it happened. It was a very sad story. Dobs
- 2:03:07Speaker 1: VID's what would Bears be without bees? Ears? You and
- 2:03:17Speaker 1: the bees Sees? We go from bees to C's that's
- 2:03:26Speaker 1: his name, s E A S. Do you believe that EO?
- 2:03:31Speaker 1: Ski is the best wrestler in the world? And then
- 2:03:34Speaker 1: in parenthesis he says Mercedes doesn't come close. I haven't
- 2:03:39Speaker 1: seen all the wrestlers in the world. I know there
- 2:03:41Speaker 1: are some great wrestlers that are over right now. Some
- 2:03:43Speaker 1: Joshi wrestlers over in Japan. I know Mayui Watani exists
- 2:03:49Speaker 1: in the world. Eoski is among the best wrestlers in
- 2:03:52Speaker 1: the world. I can't say she's the best wrestler in
- 2:03:54Speaker 1: the world. She is among the best wrestlers in the world.
- 2:03:58Speaker 1: Johnny Burney A J Lee returned hens fans aw dad
- 2:04:03Speaker 1: unserious people. Yeah, I'm not really sure what one has
- 2:04:06Speaker 1: to do with the other. But people are going to
- 2:04:08Speaker 1: do their their stick, so I just let them do
- 2:04:11Speaker 1: their stick. It's all very dumb. Charles Turner solo. Do
- 2:04:17Speaker 1: you remember the feud between Bobby Heenen and Guerrilla mond
- 2:04:19Speaker 1: Soon on Primetime Wrestling which led to the Bobby Heenan
- 2:04:23Speaker 1: Show with the point guetts I do. The Bobby Heenen
- 2:04:28Speaker 1: Show only lasted four episodes, so it wasn't around for
- 2:04:33Speaker 1: very long. I remember the episode of Primetime Wrestling where
- 2:04:37Speaker 1: Guerrilla mon Soon took a bump took a bump from
- 2:04:41Speaker 1: the Brooklyn Brawler and he got knocked to the ground.
- 2:04:44Speaker 1: Big brawl broke out with the Brawler and Terry Taylor
- 2:04:49Speaker 1: duffs Vin's what is an Asian's favorite sitcom? Everybody loves Ramen, right, right?
- 2:04:58Speaker 1: What the fuck. What did I hit? Oh man, I
- 2:05:08Speaker 1: hit the wrong button. Everybody loves Ramen. I was gonna
- 2:05:11Speaker 1: give you the the dumb tiss, but I guess not.
- 2:05:14Speaker 1: Thank you, Duffs. I inhaled some helium. There. We have
- 2:05:20Speaker 1: hit the goal, by the way, for a bonus round,
- 2:05:25Speaker 1: a bonus installment of be the Booker. Thank you guys.
- 2:05:32Speaker 1: Let's do it, ladies and gentlemen. It is now time
- 2:05:36Speaker 1: to be the Booker. Peace on Hannah would be great. Sadly,
- 2:05:46Speaker 1: not getting Julia EO or a few others as talking
- 2:05:49Speaker 1: heads would suck. Yeah again, I just don't know that
- 2:05:53Speaker 1: that's a story they want to tell right now. At
- 2:05:57Speaker 1: some point we get a season eight, season nine, then
- 2:06:02Speaker 1: I can see it all right, Beat the Booker. Time
- 2:06:05Speaker 1: we got some tag We're just talking about some tag teams.
- 2:06:08Speaker 1: I mentioned the Heart Foundation and Demolition, but we're starting
- 2:06:11Speaker 1: out with uh, definitely not the greatest tag team of
- 2:06:15Speaker 1: all time. We are starting with Brizongo, Tyler Breese and Fandango,
- 2:06:23Speaker 1: and they will be taking on, oh my god, Breezongo
- 2:06:31Speaker 1: against the bushwhackers. We'd be whacking some bush here tonight.
- 2:06:41Speaker 1: You can do whatever you want. I want no part
- 2:06:43Speaker 1: of this. That's awful. That's fucking terrible. I couldn't hit
- 2:06:51Speaker 1: that button fast enough. On the women's side, we have
- 2:06:57Speaker 1: Alexa Bliss. Where's Bliss? Bliss fan is very excited? We
- 2:07:04Speaker 1: have Alexibliss challenging who Alexa Bliss and Queen Zelina. Well,
- 2:07:17Speaker 1: one thing about that match is size wise height wise,
- 2:07:21Speaker 1: it's an even match, so at least it's not like
- 2:07:25Speaker 1: a mismatch where one is, you know, that much bigger
- 2:07:27Speaker 1: than the other. Brian Alex says, I love Bush. You
- 2:07:35Speaker 1: voted for him? Did you main event? Oh, it's the Ace.
- 2:07:42Speaker 1: It's the Ace, the president del Presidente of New Japan
- 2:07:46Speaker 1: Pro Wrestling in his own retirement year. Actually, Johnsen is
- 2:07:50Speaker 1: not the only one having a retirement year. Heiroshi Tanahashi,
- 2:07:59Speaker 1: Ben says, h Og Chicago cannot wait. Get your tickets.
- 2:08:04Speaker 1: Got some fun stuff planned Friday night, November twenty first.
- 2:08:09Speaker 1: I'll be there. I'll be back Chicago. I'm back inside
- 2:08:14Speaker 1: you November twenty first. All right, Hiroshi tana Hashi, the Ace,
- 2:08:21Speaker 1: Prime Ace. Yes, when his knees were not jelly, I
- 2:08:26Speaker 1: can't the beast Mortos look at that mask. Why are
- 2:08:35Speaker 1: his ears coming out of his cheeks. He was realized,
- 2:08:43Speaker 1: how defm that mask looks. Look at his right eye sloping.
- 2:08:52Speaker 1: What a weird mask. Be a great match, though, Prime
- 2:08:55Speaker 1: Tanahashi against the Beast Mortos. That's a collision main event
- 2:09:01Speaker 1: anywhere in the world. Because you hit the second goal.
- 2:09:07Speaker 1: We get to do this again, this time with stipulations.
- 2:09:13Speaker 1: Round two fight all right. Our first stipulation here is
- 2:09:19Speaker 1: going to be barroom brawl. All right, We're going to
- 2:09:22Speaker 1: brawl in an actual barroom. That is the stipulation here.
- 2:09:28Speaker 1: So keep that in mind because we're going to have
- 2:09:30Speaker 1: a barroom brawl with the What do you think with
- 2:09:35Speaker 1: the ladies a female barroom brawl? We should we do
- 2:09:39Speaker 1: a men's book. We'll do a men's I'll tell you what.
- 2:09:43Speaker 1: You know what the men are going to curtain jerk tonight.
- 2:09:48Speaker 1: We're going to do that first. We're going to do
- 2:09:52Speaker 1: a barroom brawl with the men and that's going to
- 2:09:56Speaker 1: open the show. Oh no, what have I done? Can
- 2:10:06Speaker 1: we undo what I just said? Now? We can't do that.
- 2:10:09Speaker 1: It goes against the rules. The Great Collie in a
- 2:10:16Speaker 1: barroom brawl against seth Rawlins, seth Rawlins and the Great
- 2:10:37Speaker 1: Collie in a a like, I can't think of two
- 2:10:43Speaker 1: people and a stipulation that could just be so different
- 2:10:48Speaker 1: from each other. Great Collie Seth Rollins barroom brawl, which
- 2:10:55Speaker 1: doesn't fit either one of them. It's a good thing
- 2:11:00Speaker 1: that the men were not in the main event tonight.
- 2:11:03Speaker 1: I'll just say that. I know Rowin. Look, Rollins had
- 2:11:08Speaker 1: a good match once from what I remember with Omas,
- 2:11:11Speaker 1: but a barroom brawl with a great colleague. Yeah, Seth
- 2:11:15Speaker 1: Rollins is not a magician. I'm sorry. Uh oh, look
- 2:11:21Speaker 1: what it is, everybody. We've got Tony Khan's dream match. Yes,
- 2:11:27Speaker 1: the dream has come true. It will be a dream
- 2:11:32Speaker 1: match for Tony Khan and the ladies. So he gets
- 2:11:36Speaker 1: the book now. You know, if it's a Tony Khan
- 2:11:38Speaker 1: dream match for the women, Mercedes is probably gonna come
- 2:11:40Speaker 1: up here. And she is in here. Mercedes is in here.
- 2:11:46Speaker 1: Let's see what the dream match is for Tony. We
- 2:11:52Speaker 1: have Piper nivin. This was during her do drop phase.
- 2:12:00Speaker 1: Yiper Niven against Emma is definitely not Tony Khan's dream badge.
- 2:12:21Speaker 1: It sounds like Tony Kahan's nightmare. More like that, Tony
- 2:12:26Speaker 1: Khan is very disappointed in this match. Here I'm sure
- 2:12:30Speaker 1: he'd love to have another go at it, but that's
- 2:12:32Speaker 1: not how it works. We do have a tag team
- 2:12:36Speaker 1: match left. We're letting the tag team's main event tonight
- 2:12:42Speaker 1: Anarchy in the Arena. Well, look, if you're going to
- 2:12:45Speaker 1: have a main event stipulation, that is a main event stipulation.
- 2:12:49Speaker 1: But with tag teams. See that's interesting. So two teams
- 2:12:52Speaker 1: that are going to be actually, you know what, it's
- 2:12:53Speaker 1: anarchy in the arena. So we kind of have to
- 2:12:56Speaker 1: throw in two more teams. We have to book four
- 2:12:58Speaker 1: teams in this match. Yeah, we need to book four teams.
- 2:13:04Speaker 1: And I forgot that Darby set Jack Perry on fire.
- 2:13:07Speaker 1: All right, so we're booking four teams here, Anarchy in
- 2:13:12Speaker 1: the Arena. Team number one, Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake
- 2:13:19Speaker 1: the Dream Team former WWF Tag Team champions. As you
- 2:13:23Speaker 1: could see there, that's before he was the barber. Owen
- 2:13:30Speaker 1: Hart and Jeff Jarrett also with the Belts, they're in
- 2:13:35Speaker 1: that image. Look at those two. What a pair. Owen
- 2:13:44Speaker 1: Hart and Jeff Jarrett the dream Team. Ah yeah, Demolition
- 2:13:52Speaker 1: Acts and Smash. I love it. Now we're talking anarchy
- 2:13:58Speaker 1: in the arena here and the Steiner Brothers. You know,
- 2:14:05Speaker 1: I just realized, like I think, in every except the
- 2:14:09Speaker 1: Demolition one, every image they're holding in the image the
- 2:14:13Speaker 1: old WWF tag team title belts. That's still the best
- 2:14:17Speaker 1: design of those belts. But that is your anarchy in
- 2:14:20Speaker 1: the arena match. I like it. I love it. You
- 2:14:24Speaker 1: got Demolition, you got the Steiners, you got Owen Hart
- 2:14:28Speaker 1: and Jeff Jarrett. Who was the first team. I already
- 2:14:32Speaker 1: forgot the first team. That is an anarchy in the
- 2:14:36Speaker 1: arena match. See that worked out well this time. That
- 2:14:41Speaker 1: is a great main event. That is a great main event.
- 2:14:47Speaker 1: What song is playing in the match? Ooh, that's a
- 2:14:53Speaker 1: good one. Welcome to the Jungle. I think we can
- 2:14:59Speaker 1: get the rights. Probably not right. I think welcome to
- 2:15:03Speaker 1: the Jungle would be an appropriate theme. We had some
- 2:15:07Speaker 1: good ones in there. Oh, the dream Team was the first. Yes,
- 2:15:10Speaker 1: the dream Team Demolition. The Steiner Brothers sold me, Owen
- 2:15:16Speaker 1: Hart and Jeff Jarrett. You sold me on the match
- 2:15:24Speaker 1: and Clone Force ninety nine. Who wins? Brian says, who
- 2:15:31Speaker 1: wins Demolition? Demolition are the Steiners? I'm going Demolition? Clone
- 2:15:38Speaker 1: Force Prayers to my barber. He got in a motorcycle
- 2:15:44Speaker 1: accident at three am days ago, and he is in
- 2:15:47Speaker 1: a coma right now. And I had found out today
- 2:15:50Speaker 1: since I had my appointment. That's a terrible way to
- 2:15:54Speaker 1: find out. You walk in there and they have to
- 2:15:56Speaker 1: tell you that whole story. That's terrior I hope he
- 2:16:00Speaker 1: pulls through. Was he wearing his helmet? I hope he
- 2:16:06Speaker 1: was wearing his helmet? But thank you Clone Force. See
- 2:16:12Speaker 1: that anarchy in the arena match, as the cool kids say,
- 2:16:15Speaker 1: would feed families. Well, the next time I'm with you
- 2:16:20Speaker 1: live will be Monday night for the Raw Post show.
- 2:16:22Speaker 1: But before that, we have episode nine twenty eight of
- 2:16:25Speaker 1: the SoundOff, which will be going up on Sunday, and
- 2:16:29Speaker 1: there's a lot to cover on there, so tune into that.

- 2:16:42Speaker 1: And I appreciate all of the support you guys. Blew
- 2:16:46Speaker 1: it out tonight to be the bookers. It's the way
- 2:16:48Speaker 1: it should be all the time. Let's do it again
- 2:16:51Speaker 1: on Monday night. Let's run it back. Maybe we'll do
- 2:16:54Speaker 1: another anarchy in the arena match. How about that? And
- 2:16:57Speaker 1: again if you missed it, the full set with Bully
- 2:17:01Speaker 1: and myself and the match that followed him and Zilla.

- 2:17:05Speaker 1: YouTube channels, So when you're done here, you can go
- 2:17:08Speaker 1: over there. I think it's like a quick ten or
- 2:17:10Speaker 1: eleven minutes. Go check that out, leave some comments and feedback,
- 2:17:14Speaker 1: find out what happened after that little teaser I left
- 2:17:17Speaker 1: earlier on be Well, Stay Safe. Retro says Solemn Monster
- 2:17:22Speaker 1: feeds Generations. I feel like we got a couple of
- 2:17:26Speaker 1: generations of people that have listened to my show, from
- 2:17:29Speaker 1: the going back to the first one I ever did
- 2:17:31Speaker 1: to the current ones. It feels like it sometimes I
- 2:17:36Speaker 1: love it though. Happ a great weekend. Check out the
