- 31:57Speaker 1: Welcome back. Well, some people might say and asserted too
- 32:02Speaker 1: much influence and control over police investigation, but in his defense,
- 32:07Speaker 1: he had a ballgame to get back to, and that's
- 32:10Speaker 1: always a good reason. I really liked it. With the music,
- 32:16Speaker 1: it's not my favorite Armed Forces Radio Services orchestra, but
- 32:20Speaker 1: it is a nice little bit. And it's what they
- 32:24Speaker 1: did because when soldiers and were overseas or service personnel,
- 32:31Speaker 1: we did not want the Government of the United States
- 32:35Speaker 1: to be selling them a specific commercial product, so the
- 32:39Speaker 1: commercial appeals were replaced often with music, and later on,
- 32:44Speaker 1: as we heard with in Yours truly Johnny Dollar. They
- 32:48Speaker 1: were replaced with public service announcement at any rate. We
- 32:52Speaker 1: do now turn to some listener comments and feedback, and
- 32:58Speaker 1: this one comes from Mike regarding Ellery Queen, the Adventure
- 33:04Speaker 1: of the Hanging Acrobat the Dumont television show. Wow, great show,
- 33:10Speaker 1: old yes, creaky, yes, but utterly charming. Post more if
- 33:13Speaker 1: you can find any thanks well, thanks so much, Mike,
- 33:17Speaker 1: and we'll be doing it next weekend. I should note
- 33:20Speaker 1: that we'll have a different Ellery Queen. Richard Hart, who
- 33:24Speaker 1: played Ellery Queen in the Adventure of the Hanging Acrobat,
- 33:31Speaker 1: actually died not to within a month of that episode
- 33:35Speaker 1: being aired, and he died of coronary oculism and was
- 33:45Speaker 1: replaced in the lead by Lee Bowman. So be sure
- 33:47Speaker 1: and listen to that next or watch that excuse me
- 33:51Speaker 1: next Sunday. We'll be back with another audio episode of
- 33:54Speaker 1: Ellery Queen next Tuesday, and then tomorrow the Enters of
