- 0:03Speaker 2: Ryan Seacrest.
- 0:04Speaker 3: Seacrest.
- 0:04Speaker 1: On air, on air, on air with Ryan Seacrest. Never
- 0:10Speaker 1: have I wanted a Monday to come faster than ever before.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Only because it's going to be in the 70s. It's
- 0:14Speaker 1: going to be hot again today. It is Friday. Let's
- 0:17Speaker 1: not lose sight of that. But, you know, even if
- 0:20Speaker 1: you're going out to the beach on this Friday, it's
- 0:22Speaker 1: still going to be hot. There's that surf. swell advisory
- 0:27Speaker 1: so i gotta kick back my servant to.
- 0:29Speaker 4: Next week you gotta postpone it man kick the can
- 0:32Speaker 4: on that uh but here we go getting closer closer
- 0:36Speaker 4: to halloween and the holidays friday october at night i
- 0:39Speaker 4: was reading tanya hi back room good.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Morning everybody mckayla's a boyfriend bella has an assistant ruby
- 0:46Speaker 1: i don't know what's going on with you ruby this
- 0:48Speaker 1: week you've been very quiet around us what do you
- 0:50Speaker 1: have to tell Nothing.
- 0:52Speaker 5: I'm just excited for the weekend.
- 0:53Speaker 6: I'm actually doing samples for El Chilito, like a demo, like,
- 0:56Speaker 6: you know, at Costco, how they do samples.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Oh, you're going to be at the kiosk inside the
- 1:00Speaker 1: Costco selling your hot sauce. Well, Jordan, nice to see
- 1:03Speaker 1: you this morning, too. Just saunter on in.
- 1:05Speaker 5: Saunter.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Walk right by. There was a saunter. All right. So
- 1:12Speaker 1: I was reading about, you know, Halloween's coming up. And
- 1:15Speaker 1: I'm a pizza lover. Have you heard about the frozen pizza,
- 1:17Speaker 1: the tombstone pizza where they're putting candy corn on the pizza?
- 1:21Speaker 1: Would you eat that?
- 1:22Speaker 7: No.
- 1:23Speaker 1: It's called the pizza nobody asked for. That's what it's
- 1:25Speaker 1: actually called. And it's a frozen pizza with candy corns
- 1:29Speaker 1: on top inside the cheese. So I'm trying to give
- 1:32Speaker 1: this the benefit of the doubt, being like a sweet
- 1:35Speaker 1: and a salty flavor. Because I do like sweet and salt.
- 1:40Speaker 1: I like caramel salted ice creams and things like that.
- 1:44Speaker 1: I like salted chocolate. Yeah. So the look of the
- 1:48Speaker 1: candy corn inside the cheese is not great, but maybe
- 1:51Speaker 1: we should get a couple of these and do a
- 1:53Speaker 1: taste test. It might actually work, but I love that
- 1:56Speaker 1: they're calling it the pizza that nobody asked for.
- 2:00Speaker 8: Do you have plans for Halloween?
- 2:04Speaker 1: Every time I get a question like this from you.
- 2:06Speaker 8: You have to think it through because.
- 2:07Speaker 1: It's going to come with a follow up. Exactly. I
- 2:10Speaker 1: need to really calculate my response to be truthful, but
- 2:15Speaker 1: maybe with some hesitation of how much detail.
- 2:17Speaker 8: Okay.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Because I, I don't, I want to, I want to
- 2:21Speaker 1: tell you that I haven't committed to my plans yet.
- 2:25Speaker 4: Okay. Why?
- 2:30Speaker 8: Cause I don't have plans either. So I thought maybe
- 2:31Speaker 8: we could do something cute.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Why don't you go with your husband? Him too. Him too.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Let's taste this pizza first.
- 2:42Speaker 8: Pivot, pivot, pivot.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Step by step. It is a Saturday, so that could
- 2:46Speaker 1: be fun. Let's get to pay your bills next at
- 2:48Speaker 1: Kiss FM. Olivia Rodrigo going to be at our Jingle
- 2:52Speaker 1: Ball presented by Capital One. Sold out next week. Tickets
- 2:56Speaker 1: every hour for you to win. And I have some
- 2:58Speaker 1: this morning for you to win as well. But next
- 3:00Speaker 1: week we kick it off. Big time. Every hour, your
- 3:02Speaker 1: chance to get into our sold-out jingle ball. Tanya always
- 3:04Speaker 1: has some sort of thing going on to improve herself,
- 3:07Speaker 1: and we like that about her. There's always a new
- 3:09Speaker 1: task or a new wellness trick. Now, this is something
- 3:13Speaker 1: that doesn't cost you a penny. You already sleep on pillows, but...
- 3:18Speaker 1: tanya's putting her pillowcases in the freezer i kind of
- 3:21Speaker 1: like the idea not knowing why so i think i like.
- 3:24Speaker 7: It so i think it's just basically what you think
- 3:27Speaker 7: it is it's been so so hot and i run
- 3:30Speaker 7: hot at night.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Anyways yeah me too and our room for.
- 3:33Speaker 7: Some reason just does not like it does not get
- 3:36Speaker 7: cool like it's just been hot and so i feel
- 3:39Speaker 7: like i heard it on this show i feel.
- 3:42Speaker 1: I listen to the show all the time.
- 3:44Speaker 7: I'm going to take my pillowcase and stick it in
- 3:46Speaker 7: the freezer. I was only for like half an hour.
- 3:47Speaker 7: I didn't like put it in there for long. And like, honestly,
- 3:50Speaker 7: I put it on my pillow and I laid down
- 3:51Speaker 7: and it made me feel 10 degrees cooler to go
- 3:55Speaker 7: to sleep.
- 3:55Speaker 1: And it's about getting to sleep sometimes because that's the key, right?
- 3:59Speaker 1: What do they call that latency? It's the time it
- 4:02Speaker 1: takes to get down, to get to sleep. And if
- 4:04Speaker 1: you are uncomfortable or you're hot or you're sweating and
- 4:07Speaker 1: it takes much more latency, more time to fall asleep.
- 4:10Speaker 1: So I think that's actually a very good idea. I
- 4:14Speaker 1: like to sleep, if I can make it cold, I
- 4:17Speaker 1: like to sleep as cold as it can get, like 68,
- 4:20Speaker 1: 69 degrees.
- 4:21Speaker 8: That's like the best sleep for you.
- 4:23Speaker 1: And then put the covers on. But there's, you know,
- 4:26Speaker 1: when occupied, said bed, there can be a debate about that.
- 4:32Speaker 1: I find that, you know, three out of, Three people
- 4:38Speaker 1: don't like to sleep in the cold.
- 4:40Speaker 4: Really?
- 4:40Speaker 1: I'm shook by that. Yeah. Does your husband sleep also
- 4:44Speaker 1: in the same climate?
- 4:46Speaker 9: Yes.
- 4:46Speaker 7: We sleep the exact same. We have the same temperature.
- 4:50Speaker 7: We like to fall asleep the same way.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Ruby, do you guys sleep in the same temperature?
- 4:54Speaker 6: We do, but my sister does not like to sleep.
- 4:57Speaker 6: I have family members who are like, it has to
- 4:59Speaker 6: be warm. They want like 78, not 68.
- 5:03Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Every one of my soulmates to be have been warm sleepers.
- 5:07Speaker 8: I don't think they're your soulmates because I do think temperature.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Compatibility is a major thing. Temperature compatibility is a big step,
- 5:14Speaker 1: isn't it? In a relationship.
- 5:16Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 5:16Speaker 7: Because even like if you want to go on a
- 5:17Speaker 7: trip or something like that, do they want to go
- 5:19Speaker 7: to the cold or do they want to go to
- 5:20Speaker 7: the hot?
- 5:22Speaker 1: Well, we would take separate trips at that point.
- 5:24Speaker 9: All right.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Coming up next, tickets to escape Halloween and send Bernardino.
- 5:28Speaker 9: Okay.
- 5:28Speaker 1: So Michaela, let's actually talk about this. We finally got our,
- 5:31Speaker 1: one of our wishes from the genie. Halloween on a
- 5:34Speaker 1: Saturday night. It's something that we've been waiting for for
- 5:36Speaker 1: a long time. It's great when a big holiday falls
- 5:40Speaker 1: on a Friday or a Saturday. Sunday doesn't do any good, really.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Like the Super Bowl needs to be, I think this year,
- 5:46Speaker 1: actually next year when they have it for this season,
- 5:49Speaker 1: the Super Bowl falls on a holiday weekend, right? So
- 5:51Speaker 1: you get the next day, in theory, could be a
- 5:54Speaker 1: day off. Right, Mark?
- 5:55Speaker 3: Yes.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Correct, but it's also Valentine's Day. The Super Bowl is
- 5:58Speaker 1: on Sunday. The Super Bowl is on Valentine's Day?
- 5:59Speaker 8: Yeah, February 14th, 2027.
- 6:02Speaker 1: So the Super Bowl is on Valentine's Day and then
- 6:04Speaker 1: Monday is a holiday as well?
- 6:05Speaker 9: Correct.
- 6:06Speaker 8: President's Day.
- 6:08Speaker 4: Huh.
- 6:10Speaker 1: At this point, I'm happy about that. I'm fine with it.
- 6:13Speaker 1: I'm good with the Super Bowl being on Valentine's Day.
- 6:15Speaker 1: No issue. But more immediately, Halloween is on Saturday and
- 6:20Speaker 1: Michaela has a pertinent question about going to a concert
- 6:23Speaker 1: the night or two before the 31st, right?
- 6:25Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 6:26Speaker 5: Do I wear a costume with my friends or do
- 6:29Speaker 5: we not?
- 6:29Speaker 6: I've been to concerts where it's the night before and
- 6:31Speaker 6: people have worn it days before.
- 6:33Speaker 8: Yes, some no.
- 6:34Speaker 9: So I don't know what to do.
- 6:35Speaker 1: I see people in costumes the weekend before.
- 6:39Speaker 8: But those are probably costume parties.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Well, the concert, I think. Out of respect to the artist,
- 6:46Speaker 1: they probably want you to have some fun for that
- 6:48Speaker 1: Halloween themed weekend that they're probably going to do some
- 6:51Speaker 1: stuff that's Halloween themed themselves and maybe even have a
- 6:54Speaker 1: costume themselves, especially if it's the 30th of the 29th,
- 6:57Speaker 1: that you would totally be with others if you wore
- 7:00Speaker 1: a costume. Would it be the same costume that you
- 7:02Speaker 1: would wear with your friends on Saturday?
- 7:06Speaker 3: Maybe.
- 7:06Speaker 6: I have some options, so I guess I could switch
- 7:09Speaker 6: it up.
- 7:10Speaker 1: I think once you get into the week before Halloween
- 7:14Speaker 1: and the lead up to the weekend, costumes are totally
- 7:16Speaker 1: acceptable at school. They're totally acceptable at work and definitely
- 7:21Speaker 1: acceptable at night at a concert. Maybe not at school.
- 7:25Speaker 1: I don't know the school rules.
- 7:26Speaker 8: I don't think that they are acceptable at school.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Maybe I speak out of turn on that. But everyone
- 7:30Speaker 1: else is saying it's fine. If you guys want to
- 7:33Speaker 1: roll up in costumes starting on Monday, the week before Halloween,
- 7:36Speaker 1: I'm all for it. Whatever you want. What show are
- 7:38Speaker 1: you going to? Knox.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Knox.
- 7:40Speaker 9: He has that.
- 7:41Speaker 1: For sure. Everybody is going to Knox wearing costumes.
- 7:46Speaker 5: I think so.
- 7:46Speaker 1: And everybody's going to escape Halloween in costumes, too. So
- 7:49Speaker 1: there you go. I got a quote of the day
- 7:52Speaker 1: next to Kiss. It's Kiss FM. Do you like to
- 7:56Speaker 1: eat things? You ever get near somebody, anybody at work,
- 8:01Speaker 1: and they've eaten something the night before and it's still
- 8:03Speaker 1: with them? Here's a way to get rid of garlic
- 8:06Speaker 1: if you're the person that carries something with you the
- 8:08Speaker 1: next day. And that is, if you eat garlic and
- 8:13Speaker 1: you keep a couple coffee beans in your pocket and
- 8:15Speaker 1: munch on coffee beans like nuts, a couple of them,
- 8:18Speaker 1: they cover food odors, they increase saliva to wash the
- 8:22Speaker 1: garlic away, and they slow the growth, coffee beans, of
- 8:25Speaker 1: odor-causing bacteria. And I quite like them as a substitute
- 8:29Speaker 1: to a nut if you only have two or three
- 8:30Speaker 1: of them. You do? When I make my coffee, sometimes
- 8:33Speaker 1: I'll have a cup of coffee beans just to get
- 8:36Speaker 1: my mouth excited about the coffee that's coming.
- 8:37Speaker 8: Does it stain your teeth?
- 8:40Speaker 1: I don't think the beans do.
- 8:41Speaker 3: Okay.
- 8:43Speaker 1: I think they're fine. Just chew them and swallow them.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Today's quote. Either the fear will go away or the
- 8:48Speaker 1: opportunity will. It's Kiss FM. Good morning. Kehlani folded on
- 8:53Speaker 1: Kiss FM. All right, we're almost to 7 o'clock where
- 8:55Speaker 1: we are going to pay another bill. So stand by.
- 8:58Speaker 1: I may call your name. We also have Jingle Ball tickets.
- 9:02Speaker 1: It's sold out for you to win in a little bit.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Tanya with the headline. Kiss FM headlines with Tanya Radd.
- 9:09Speaker 7: The White House announced that it was suspending Microsoft and
- 9:11Speaker 7: several other firms from a program allowing foreign workers to
- 9:14Speaker 7: apply for green cards. The 5 Freeway was reopened through
- 9:18Speaker 7: the Great Vine after crews stopped the forward progress of
- 9:21Speaker 7: the Danny Fire. A 3.2 magnitude earthquake rattled the Long
- 9:25Speaker 7: Beach area early this morning. It struck at 1244 a.m.
- 9:29Speaker 7: about a mile southwest of Signal Hill. And Soup Plantation
- 9:33Speaker 7: will return to California next year with its first location
- 9:36Speaker 7: planned for Fountain Valley.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Uh, you know, the turn of these backyard coffee houses
- 9:42Speaker 1: is something that I've been seeing a lot of. We've
- 9:44Speaker 1: been talking about this over the course of the last
- 9:45Speaker 1: couple of weeks and I like the idea. It's actually
- 9:47Speaker 1: pretty cool as a coffee enthusiast. I mean, you can
- 9:50Speaker 1: take a lot of things away from me, but I will.
- 9:52Speaker 1: It's just, I don't want to give up coffee. It
- 9:55Speaker 1: is something I look forward to the process. I get
- 9:57Speaker 1: excited about. I, put one, I told you this, I
- 10:00Speaker 1: put a coffee maker in my bedroom. So now the
- 10:02Speaker 1: alarm goes off. I dashed to the dresser where the
- 10:06Speaker 1: coffee machine is. It's already ready to go. And I
- 10:09Speaker 1: have a grinder there too. If I want to grind
- 10:11Speaker 1: my beans, I grind my beans, hit start. Then I
- 10:14Speaker 1: do a couple of grasshoppers and, brush my teeth, use
- 10:18Speaker 1: the bathroom. By the time I've done all that, my
- 10:22Speaker 1: coffee is ready and I've got that done. I mean,
- 10:27Speaker 1: I've been having my first cup within eight, nine minutes.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Those grasshoppers are fast.
- 10:31Speaker 7: I don't think this is good feng shui to finding
- 10:33Speaker 7: a partner, but we could put a pin in that
- 10:35Speaker 7: for now.
- 10:36Speaker 1: Actually, if you are, this is a true statement.
- 10:39Speaker 8: Cause they might probably still be sleeping.
- 10:42Speaker 1: No, no, everybody that I've, We usually get up around
- 10:45Speaker 1: the same time, and both of us have been coffee enthusiasts.
- 10:48Speaker 1: All of my relationships have been. But Ruby, you went
- 10:52Speaker 1: to go check out this new trend in a backyard house.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Tell me about it.
- 10:56Speaker 6: Yeah, so many, like you said, so many backyard coffee
- 10:58Speaker 6: houses are popping up all over the city.
- 11:00Speaker 5: And so I went to one in Echo Park. It's
- 11:03Speaker 5: called Lotto.
- 11:04Speaker 6: And it's actually inspired by Mexico City cafes with a
- 11:08Speaker 6: Japanese touch.
- 11:08Speaker 5: So I feel like you would be into this one.
- 11:11Speaker 6: And it's literally in someone's backyard.
- 11:14Speaker 5: But their backyard is filled with all these native plants.
- 11:16Speaker 5: So it feels really special because it's tucked away. But
- 11:20Speaker 5: you're still in the middle of Echo Park.
- 11:22Speaker 1: What was the coffee like?
- 11:23Speaker 6: The coffee was really good. They have all kinds of lattes,
- 11:26Speaker 6: flat whites. They also have matcha. So I got a
- 11:30Speaker 6: matcha latte and it was really, really good. But I
- 11:33Speaker 6: feel like it's special that they're popping up all over
- 11:36Speaker 6: the city and they're delicious.
- 11:39Speaker 1: I'm so proud of the coffee that I discovered named
- 11:41Speaker 1: Pachamama that I tell you all about that I actually
- 11:45Speaker 1: would set up my own lemonade slash coffee stand on
- 11:47Speaker 1: the corner just to show you how excited I am
- 11:50Speaker 1: for other. When anybody says they love coffee and I
- 11:52Speaker 1: say that, I get really prideful about the fact that, no,
- 11:55Speaker 1: I've got the one for you. You've got to try this.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Trust me, taste this and call me. It'll change your life.
- 11:59Speaker 1: A lot of people feel like their life has been
- 12:01Speaker 1: changed by that coffee that I recommend. So I understand
- 12:04Speaker 1: the enthusiasts that want to share that with other people
- 12:07Speaker 1: in their backyard. I love that.
- 12:08Speaker 5: I thought of you.
- 12:09Speaker 6: I was like, I feel like you would do something
- 12:10Speaker 6: like this, like Seacrest Secret Garden Cafe or something like that.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold on. I need to get,
- 12:19Speaker 1: what was it? Seacrest Secret Garden Cafe.
- 12:21Speaker 4: Yes.
- 12:24Speaker 1: And there'll be a password. We'll give out a password.
- 12:28Speaker 5: Exactly.
- 12:29Speaker 1: And we'll have coffee together. It'll be coffee and a talk.
- 12:33Speaker 8: What's the password going to be?
- 12:34Speaker 1: I don't know the password yet. And there's going to
- 12:36Speaker 1: be a specific time and location that you get the password.
- 12:38Speaker 1: And then we'll come and we'll have coffee and we'll chat. Exactly.
- 12:42Speaker 5: You see the vision.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Sorry, I'll be late on Fridays. My coffee house is opening.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Good morning. We do have your chance to win some
- 12:50Speaker 1: sold out Jingle Ball tickets coming up this morning. After
- 12:53Speaker 1: eight o'clock. So stand by for that. So Tony was
- 12:55Speaker 1: talking about, you know, when people say, look, when you
- 12:57Speaker 1: stop looking for something, it will happen. Whether it's a job,
- 13:01Speaker 1: whether it's happiness, whether it's a partner, you stop focusing
- 13:06Speaker 1: on it. Stop letting it occupy your energy and your attention.
- 13:10Speaker 1: And you'll just walk into it. I'm here to tell
- 13:12Speaker 1: you that's not true.
- 13:14Speaker 8: But I think you're wrong.
- 13:16Speaker 7: Because I, too, I believe the same way you do.
- 13:18Speaker 7: I'm like so obsessive over things. Like I'm like, if
- 13:20Speaker 7: you want something, you should go full speed ahead.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Put it out there if you want to find it.
- 13:26Speaker 1: And then you have those that say if it's not
- 13:29Speaker 1: on your mind, if you don't think about it too much,
- 13:31Speaker 1: that's when you discover it. Case in point. Go ahead.
- 13:33Speaker 8: Kim Kardashian. Also, Connie Seacrest gets a shout out in
- 13:35Speaker 8: this trending report.
- 13:36Speaker 9: But.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Oh, she does.
- 13:37Speaker 3: Yes.
- 13:38Speaker 7: Kim Kardashian just did a big interview with the times
- 13:40Speaker 7: of London. And she said, I was really single for
- 13:42Speaker 7: five years and that felt great. So five years, Kim
- 13:46Speaker 7: filed for divorce back in 2021. She dated Pete Davidson
- 13:49Speaker 7: for a little bit in there, but the way she
- 13:51Speaker 7: tells it, she was mostly on her own. She said
- 13:53Speaker 7: she got to focus on her kids and the projects
- 13:55Speaker 7: that she actually wanted to do. And then she said,
- 13:57Speaker 7: I wanted to completely heal and just work on myself.
- 14:00Speaker 7: She even admitted that she just wasn't ready to open up.
- 14:03Speaker 7: And then when she was asked about Lewis Hamilton directly,
- 14:06Speaker 7: she said in the most respectful way, I'd probably rather not.
- 14:10Speaker 4: Okay.
- 14:10Speaker 1: But her take on all of this was rather not what?
- 14:13Speaker 1: Talk about it.
- 14:14Speaker 7: Their relationship with him. But the way that her take
- 14:18Speaker 7: on all this was the universe works in your favor when.
- 14:21Speaker 8: You just allow it. So basically, sit back.
- 14:25Speaker 7: It'll come to you. It's like what Connie Seacrest always said, too.
- 14:28Speaker 7: You can't hurry love. You just have to wait. And
- 14:31Speaker 7: I feel like this goes for everything in life.
- 14:34Speaker 1: My mom always says that to you, to me. And
- 14:37Speaker 1: there's a song from way back in the day. You
- 14:40Speaker 1: can't hurry love. And she says, well, you know, you guys,
- 14:42Speaker 1: you can't hurry love. Well, ma, maybe a little nudge. Like,
- 14:46Speaker 1: let's nudge love a little bit. Like, give it a
- 14:47Speaker 1: little bit of oomph. because you can't just sit back
- 14:51Speaker 1: on your laurels and wait forever on this stuff. I
- 14:53Speaker 1: don't know. I tell you, I understand that it does
- 14:56Speaker 1: happen like that for some people, but I've always been
- 14:58Speaker 1: the type of person that I've actually, both of these
- 15:02Speaker 1: things have not worked for me. So the realization, yeah,
- 15:10Speaker 1: I just realized that in that moment, making that point
- 15:12Speaker 1: coming up next, DJ triple XL. It's going to mix
- 15:16Speaker 1: you beat to beat back to back for Friday. Bruno
- 15:19Speaker 1: Mars there. Harry Styles, Kendrick, DJ XXXL in the mix
- 15:22Speaker 1: on a Friday. Thank you, XL. Do ultimatums work? They
- 15:28Speaker 1: do not. I know, I know, I know. In some cases,
- 15:33Speaker 1: they have before. For me, they don't. They seem harsh
- 15:37Speaker 1: and rigid and one-sided. But Bella... Our intern, she's still
- 15:44Speaker 1: learning about life. Can't blame her. She's at USC. She's
- 15:48Speaker 1: not done yet. She's still taking classes on life. She
- 15:51Speaker 1: threw down an ultimatum to her boyfriend. I got to
- 15:53Speaker 1: tell you, when you told me the story about you
- 15:55Speaker 1: giving him an ultimatum, it didn't sound like he bit,
- 15:59Speaker 1: to be honest with you.
- 16:01Speaker 2: Right.
- 16:02Speaker 3: No, he didn't. Essentially, it didn't. It's been a month now,
- 16:07Speaker 3: I think, and there's been no change.
- 16:11Speaker 1: What was your ultimatum?
- 16:13Speaker 2: I needed more effort. And if you don't give me that,
- 16:17Speaker 2: it's like done.
- 16:20Speaker 1: And what has happened since this ultimatum, Bella?
- 16:23Speaker 2: Pretty much nothing.
- 16:24Speaker 3: I mean, before we had this conversation, I guess he
- 16:29Speaker 3: told his parents about it. And I saw messages between
- 16:31Speaker 3: him and his mom. And I think he was thinking
- 16:34Speaker 3: about breaking up.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Do you want him to break up? Do you get
- 16:39Speaker 1: the spidey sense, Tanya, that she threw this down, kind
- 16:41Speaker 1: of thinking he would react this way so she could
- 16:43Speaker 1: get out of it? Do you feel that?
- 16:44Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean, it's not giving want to be in
- 16:47Speaker 8: this relationship.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Either of you. You throw down an ultimatum. He doesn't
- 16:51Speaker 1: really act on it. I feel like you're just waiting
- 16:53Speaker 1: for it to dissolve. Are we off on this?
- 16:57Speaker 2: I don't think so. I think if anything, if we
- 17:00Speaker 2: were to break up, it would be mutual. But at
- 17:02Speaker 2: least for me, I think I'm too nice to bring
- 17:06Speaker 2: it up like that. I don't think I can break.
- 17:08Speaker 8: Up with him.
- 17:09Speaker 1: You're too kind to break up with him?
- 17:11Speaker 2: Yeah, at least maybe I'm just delusional. Maybe I think
- 17:14Speaker 2: things will change.
- 17:15Speaker 5: I think you just want him to fight for you, right?
- 17:17Speaker 2: Yeah, that's exactly it.
- 17:19Speaker 8: But that's not happening.
- 17:20Speaker 3: No.
- 17:20Speaker 1: It's not happening. So then you got to say, bro,
- 17:23Speaker 1: I'm moving on. I mean, we can't be here for
- 17:25Speaker 1: the rest of your life, Bella.
- 17:26Speaker 9: No.
- 17:27Speaker 1: To help. I think Ruby's right. You wanted to fight.
- 17:32Speaker 1: He's not. You've got your results. The results are in. Yeah. Anyway,
- 17:37Speaker 1: I've never met a guy, but I see. I don't
- 17:42Speaker 1: know if I can.
- 17:43Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 17:43Speaker 8: The results are in.
- 17:44Speaker 1: Good luck. Keep us posted. On air with Ryan Seacrest.
- 17:51Speaker 1: So we're going to get into paying your bills here. Also,
- 17:54Speaker 1: this Tinder Swindler story. Are you kidding me? This guy's back.
- 17:58Speaker 1: The irony in this story that Tanya's got coming up.
- 18:01Speaker 1: So stick around for that. Right now, let's play a
- 18:03Speaker 1: match game for sold out Jingle Ball tickets. Got two
- 18:06Speaker 1: contestants on the line competing for these sold out tickets.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Lulu and Moreno Valley. Good morning. Hi, how are you? Great.
- 18:15Speaker 1: Thank you for listening. Let's meet contestant number two. Hi,
- 18:18Speaker 1: Carl and Corona. How are you doing?
- 18:21Speaker 9: Good.
- 18:21Speaker 1: How are you? How are you, Ryan? I'm solid. Thank
- 18:24Speaker 1: you for asking. Are you ready to try and win
- 18:27Speaker 1: tickets to our sold-out jingle ball? Yes, sir.
- 18:31Speaker 9: Okay.
- 18:32Speaker 1: Here we go. It's called the match game, all right?
- 18:36Speaker 1: We'll give you a phrase with a blank in it.
- 18:37Speaker 1: You'll go one at a time. Whoever gets the most
- 18:39Speaker 1: matches with our panel gets the tickets. I'll start with you, Lulu.
- 18:42Speaker 1: Are you ready?
- 18:44Speaker 9: Ready.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Okay. Yours is, hang tight, Carl. Yours, Lulu, is pumpkin blank.
- 18:51Speaker 1: pumpkin blank so pumpkin then think of a word that
- 18:55Speaker 1: the panel will most likely choose to go in that
- 18:57Speaker 1: blank and if you guys match up a lot you're
- 18:59Speaker 1: going to be in good shape so lulu pumpkin what
- 19:01Speaker 1: would you say pumpkin spice yes i like it it's
- 19:06Speaker 1: going to be a popular choice i think with the
- 19:08Speaker 1: panel so let's see what we said we've got tanya
- 19:12Speaker 1: pumpkin pumpkin spice there's one okay ruby I said pumpkin
- 19:21Speaker 1: spice as well. It's a pretty easy one here. Now, Bella,
- 19:25Speaker 1: what did you say?
- 19:26Speaker 2: I also said pumpkin spice.
- 19:28Speaker 4: Wow.
- 19:29Speaker 1: And Michaela?
- 19:30Speaker 5: Pumpkin spice.
- 19:32Speaker 9: Okay.
- 19:33Speaker 1: Now, Mark, our producer, comes up with the first word
- 19:35Speaker 1: before the blank. I thought pumpkin pie would be the
- 19:37Speaker 1: most common one.
- 19:38Speaker 3: What?
- 19:38Speaker 1: No one's thinking about pumpkin pie, Mark.
- 19:40Speaker 9: No.
- 19:41Speaker 1: Your grandma is thinking about pumpkin pie. That's about it.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Anybody born after 1999?
- 19:46Speaker 3: Oh.
- 19:50Speaker 1: And me spice carl i don't like it i don't
- 19:57Speaker 1: like it it was so easy i know she swept
- 20:02Speaker 1: it let's see how you do here we go yours
- 20:04Speaker 1: yours is candy blank.
- 20:09Speaker 9: Candy cane?
- 20:12Speaker 1: Candy cane, Carl went with. Okay. With Halloween just around
- 20:15Speaker 1: the corner, let's see what the panel said. Tanya, candy?
- 20:20Speaker 8: Candy corn. Candy corn.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Ruby?
- 20:23Speaker 6: I was going to do that, but I don't like
- 20:24Speaker 6: candy corn, so I did say candy cane, actually.
- 20:28Speaker 1: Wow. Okay, that's a surprise. Bella?
- 20:31Speaker 2: I said candy corn, sadly.
- 20:34Speaker 1: And Mikayla, candy? Candy corn.
- 20:36Speaker 9: Candy corn.
- 20:43Speaker 1: Why do you not like candy? Yeah, exactly. That's not fair.
- 20:46Speaker 1: Just cause you don't like candy corn. You were going
- 20:48Speaker 1: to say that. And Carl doesn't get to go to
- 20:49Speaker 1: jingle ball. I call that not nice.
- 20:52Speaker 8: To be fair.
- 20:53Speaker 9: He guessed.
- 20:53Speaker 4: Okay.
- 20:56Speaker 9: Whatever.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Carl and Lulu, I'm giving you sold-out Jingle Ball tickets.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Both of you are going. Thank you so much.
- 21:07Speaker 3: Yes.
- 21:08Speaker 1: I don't sleep well anyway. I won't sleep at all
- 21:10Speaker 1: if I didn't do this. So enjoy. I appreciate that.
- 21:13Speaker 9: Thank you, guys.
- 21:13Speaker 1: Thank you so much. You're amazing.
- 21:15Speaker 9: All right.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Thank you for listening, both of you. And I'll see
- 21:18Speaker 1: you at Jingle Ball, okay?
- 21:19Speaker 8: Thank you.
- 21:20Speaker 4: Bye.
- 21:22Speaker 1: Got tickets every hour next week to win. Paying your
- 21:25Speaker 1: bills after this. So remember the documentary, The Tinder Swindler?
- 21:30Speaker 1: The guy that was a big scam. He took hundreds
- 21:32Speaker 1: of thousands of dollars from the women that he dated.
- 21:37Speaker 1: Then they did this big doc. And essentially, isn't he
- 21:40Speaker 1: a criminal? Yeah.
- 21:42Speaker 4: Yes.
- 21:42Speaker 3: Okay.
- 21:43Speaker 1: So Tanya has a story here. Get this. About the
- 21:47Speaker 1: guy coming back for his second mountain. His return is...
- 21:52Speaker 1: He wants to now, and he's done it, he wants
- 21:54Speaker 1: to help you from getting scammed. Basically, he's launched an
- 21:58Speaker 1: app that will protect you from doing what he did.
- 22:02Speaker 3: Yes.
- 22:02Speaker 1: Tanya, what's going on?
- 22:03Speaker 7: It's called Safe Love, which is being marketed as a
- 22:08Speaker 7: scam-proof dating app with extra security built in to verify
- 22:12Speaker 7: who people really are. He says that he's paid his
- 22:15Speaker 7: debts and wants to use everything he's learned to make
- 22:18Speaker 7: online dating safer. So essentially, the Tinder swindler is now
- 22:22Speaker 7: trying to stop the next Tinder swindler. But would you
- 22:26Speaker 7: trust a dating app created by him? Apparently, Apple and
- 22:30Speaker 7: Google are being asked not to put this in their
- 22:33Speaker 7: app stores. It's called Safe Love.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Okay. Now, the guy spent five months in prison for
- 22:41Speaker 1: scamming the women that he dated. And now he wants
- 22:47Speaker 1: to make money from the very fear he created in everyone.
- 22:52Speaker 1: It's literally the equivalent of Dracula opening a blood bank.
- 22:57Speaker 1: It's not to be trusted to me. Or I wouldn't
- 23:00Speaker 1: want to donate to the cause.
- 23:05Speaker 7: I love a redemption story. I love a redemption arc.
- 23:07Speaker 7: But I'm like, stay away from the dating scene, bro.
- 23:11Speaker 7: Invent some other kind of app. I don't understand why
- 23:15Speaker 7: he needs to get back into this specific field. Because
- 23:18Speaker 7: as a former dater, I wouldn't trust anything from this guy.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Yeah, my first step in rebranding yourself would be to
- 23:26Speaker 1: get rid of people calling you the Tinder swindler.
- 23:28Speaker 4: Correct.
- 23:29Speaker 1: I mean, that's step one. Because that's how he's being...
- 23:32Speaker 1: refer to in creating this app as well.
- 23:34Speaker 8: Or maybe teach people how to swindle. Well, that's probably bad.
- 23:38Speaker 1: Yeah, that's bad. Hanging out with you. Thank you for
- 23:42Speaker 1: being with us. Lorena and Montebello. Good morning. How are
- 23:44Speaker 1: you doing? We're hanging in. We're just ready for the
- 23:50Speaker 1: heat to cease and get into some actually fall like temperatures,
- 23:54Speaker 1: which is on the horizon. So that is the good news.
- 23:57Speaker 1: But most importantly, you have a crisis going on. Yeah,
- 24:00Speaker 1: a bit of a crisis.
- 24:01Speaker 9: So I've been dating this guy for about two or
- 24:05Speaker 9: three months, and he has two kids from a previous relationship.
- 24:10Speaker 9: And Halloween is coming up, so he told me that
- 24:12Speaker 9: his ex had invited him to go trick-or-treating with the kids.
- 24:16Speaker 2: This is their mom.
- 24:17Speaker 9: And apparently they've always done it together, and she wants
- 24:20Speaker 9: to keep that tradition going for the kids. And then
- 24:24Speaker 9: he asked if I wanted to come too. And honestly...
- 24:29Speaker 9: I don't know how I.
- 24:30Speaker 1: Feel about it.
- 24:31Speaker 9: I mean, his ex is obviously going to be there.
- 24:34Speaker 9: So I basically be spending Halloween walking around the neighborhood
- 24:37Speaker 9: with my boyfriend, his two kids and his ex-wife, you know,
- 24:42Speaker 9: and he says it's about the kids and that there's
- 24:45Speaker 9: like nothing romantic about it whatsoever. But we've only been
- 24:48Speaker 9: dating for like three months and I haven't even met
- 24:51Speaker 9: his ex before. And I don't really want my first
- 24:55Speaker 9: interaction with her to be walking around in a group,
- 24:57Speaker 9: like pretending we're one big happy family. And at the
- 25:01Speaker 9: same time, I don't want him to think I'm uncomfortable
- 25:03Speaker 9: with his kids or that I don't want to be
- 25:05Speaker 9: a part of his life. So if I don't go,
- 25:07Speaker 9: I'm worried they will be there and like playing family
- 25:10Speaker 9: while I'm sitting at home. So do I go and
- 25:13Speaker 9: show him I'm comfortable with the situation or stay home?
- 25:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 25:17Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 25:18Speaker 1: I mean, everything you're saying to me, I feel like
- 25:19Speaker 1: you should say to him. Have you had this conversation
- 25:22Speaker 1: with him revealing exactly how you feel?
- 25:25Speaker 9: There's nothing wrong with how you feel. I, I haven't
- 25:29Speaker 9: because I'm just, you know, teetering on the fact that
- 25:32Speaker 9: I don't want him to think that I don't want
- 25:35Speaker 9: to meet his ex-wife at some point. And I don't want,
- 25:38Speaker 9: you know, I just want him to know that I
- 25:40Speaker 9: am game and his kids are great and I want
- 25:43Speaker 9: to be a part of it. But so I'm just
- 25:44Speaker 9: worried that this is now going to like make us
- 25:47Speaker 9: have our first big conflict. And I don't want that
- 25:49Speaker 9: because I really, really like him.
- 25:51Speaker 7: Tanya. I think this is like, best case scenario honestly
- 25:56Speaker 7: the fact that he invited you to go with them
- 25:58Speaker 7: is like huge I think you should take that as
- 26:01Speaker 7: like such a major compliment the fact that she wants
- 26:04Speaker 7: to meet you is also huge I would take that
- 26:07Speaker 7: as I feel like you're seeing this from like the
- 26:08Speaker 7: wrong perspective because I think all these are such really
- 26:13Speaker 7: nice sentiments to have and I feel like you're gonna
- 26:16Speaker 7: want that relationship moving forward. If this is, if this
- 26:20Speaker 7: is something that's like serious, you know, you're going to
- 26:22Speaker 7: want to have the relationship with the mom.
- 26:23Speaker 8: You're going to want to have relationship with the.
- 26:24Speaker 7: Kids and you're going to have to do things that
- 26:27Speaker 7: make you uncomfortable at some point down the road.
- 26:30Speaker 8: So why not start now?
- 26:33Speaker 3: Okay. Yeah.
- 26:34Speaker 9: I mean, that's, that's, that's great advice. I should be
- 26:36Speaker 9: looking at it. That's so positive. And I feel like
- 26:38Speaker 9: I've been just worried that is this too soon? And like,
- 26:41Speaker 9: I'm getting in my head about it, but, but yeah,
- 26:43Speaker 9: you're right.
- 26:45Speaker 1: I think that is great advice, and it really crystallizes
- 26:49Speaker 1: the good scenario that it is with the door open
- 26:51Speaker 1: for you to accomplish all of this. So, okay, good.
- 26:54Speaker 1: We accomplished something together. Lorena, I think we're feeling good
- 26:58Speaker 1: about this now. I am.
- 27:00Speaker 9: I'm going to talk to him, but I'm also going
- 27:03Speaker 9: to also tell him I'm really honored that he wants
- 27:04Speaker 9: me to be involved and be with his family. And
- 27:07Speaker 9: now I'm getting excited.
- 27:08Speaker 1: So thanks. And I appreciate your thoughtfulness in all of this.
- 27:12Speaker 1: It's really great that you're being thoughtful about it. So
- 27:13Speaker 1: thank you for listening. Thank you for trusting us in
- 27:15Speaker 1: the conversation. Happy Halloween.
- 27:18Speaker 9: Happy Halloween.
- 27:18Speaker 4: Thanks.
- 27:20Speaker 1: Great advice, Tanya. We are here. Take a moment just
- 27:27Speaker 1: to enjoy the fact, take a deep breath in, that
- 27:29Speaker 1: it is the weekend. Now blow it out. That's it.
- 27:34Speaker 1: Got to be present. Realize we've made it to the
- 27:36Speaker 1: end of another week. It is Friday. Yes, it's hot.
- 27:39Speaker 1: The weekend is going to start gradually cooling off. So
- 27:42Speaker 1: there is relief in sight. And if you're going to
- 27:44Speaker 1: stay in and beat the heat by watching something, we've
- 27:47Speaker 1: got our weekend watch list here. Tanya, what's on your
- 27:49Speaker 1: weekend watch list?
- 27:50Speaker 8: So mine is actually in theaters, which are a very
- 27:53Speaker 8: cool place to hang out. And I mean, cold.
- 27:56Speaker 1: It's Verity.
- 27:57Speaker 8: So this is a movie.
- 27:58Speaker 7: It's a struggling writer is hired to finish a bestselling
- 28:00Speaker 7: author's book series, but discovers a hidden autobiography confessing to
- 28:04Speaker 7: horrific family secrets. This is the movie that Anne Hathaway
- 28:07Speaker 7: and Dakota Johnson have been promoting very, very heavily. There
- 28:10Speaker 7: are a lot of mixed reviews out there. Some people
- 28:14Speaker 7: love it. Some people don't.
- 28:15Speaker 8: So I'm excited to see what the hype is about.
- 28:18Speaker 1: Let us know what you think. Ruby, what's on your
- 28:19Speaker 1: weekend watch list?
- 28:20Speaker 6: Okay, so you know I am a sucker for a
- 28:23Speaker 6: true crime doc. Mine is The Widower on Netflix. It's
- 28:26Speaker 6: a documentary following a two-decade investigation into a Las Vegas
- 28:30Speaker 6: man who may have murdered four of his six wives
- 28:33Speaker 6: to collect their life insurance policies.
- 28:37Speaker 5: And that is on Netflix.
- 28:38Speaker 8: What is wrong with people?
- 28:39Speaker 5: I believe it was.
- 28:40Speaker 1: You, Ruby, to watch that. I mean, I can't see
- 28:44Speaker 1: myself going, you know what? I need a little breather.
- 28:47Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 28:47Speaker 1: Let me look at this guy. Whether he did or
- 28:51Speaker 1: he did, did they prove it?
- 28:52Speaker 5: You have to watch.
- 28:54Speaker 9: But yes.
- 28:55Speaker 1: I don't want to watch.
- 28:56Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 28:57Speaker 1: I don't want to see this guy talking about killing
- 29:00Speaker 1: all his wives. There's nothing about that.
- 29:02Speaker 5: There's a lot of people who appreciate true crime. I
- 29:05Speaker 5: love it.
- 29:06Speaker 1: I have one eye open.
- 29:07Speaker 5: There's a lot.
- 29:08Speaker 1: When I'm with somebody with true crime, one eye open
- 29:11Speaker 1: when I'm sleeping.
- 29:12Speaker 7: All right.
- 29:13Speaker 1: Let's see. Bella, what's on your weekend watch list?
- 29:15Speaker 3: Another Netflix movie, Best of the Best. It is with
- 29:18Speaker 3: the same star from Never Have I Ever. It's about
- 29:22Speaker 3: two childhood best friends that head to UCLA and test
- 29:25Speaker 3: their friendship competing on a cutthroat Bollywood fusion dance team.
- 29:30Speaker 1: You're going to watch this. You go to USC. You're
- 29:32Speaker 1: going to watch this about going to UCLA?
- 29:34Speaker 9: Okay.
- 29:34Speaker 3: Wait, there is a USC mentioned in the movie.
- 29:39Speaker 2: So I'm excited.
- 29:39Speaker 4: Oh, good.
- 29:40Speaker 1: You get an honorable mention.
- 29:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 29:41Speaker 1: I don't know if I'm you. I watched the guy
- 29:43Speaker 1: to kill the five wives. I mean, if you want
- 29:45Speaker 1: to be true to the Trojans, I'll see on celebrity
- 29:49Speaker 1: wheel of fortune. That's on tonight. Lennon Parham, Cedric, the entertainer,
- 29:52Speaker 1: Kevin Smith. It's fun. It's all for charity. And Lennon
- 29:56Speaker 1: is amazing. So good at Celebrity Wheel of Fortune. That
- 30:00Speaker 1: is tonight, 8 o'clock on ABC. All right, it's KISS FM.
- 30:03Speaker 1: It's going to be hot today. Cooling off over the weekend.
- 30:06Speaker 1: Not super cool tomorrow. But then on Sunday, the relief begins.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Monday looking excellent. So looking forward to that. But over
- 30:11Speaker 1: the weekend, you've got UCLA traveling to Oregon for a
- 30:15Speaker 1: 1230 game. That's on Paramount Plus. USC is at Penn
- 30:19Speaker 1: State tomorrow, 430. It's on Peacock. The Chargers. Our host
- 30:22Speaker 1: in the Broncos, Sunday at 1. Live music, Somers at
- 30:25Speaker 1: the Honda Center in Anaheim. The Neighborhood is at the
- 30:27Speaker 1: Kia Forum. And at Intuit Dome, where we're doing our
- 30:31Speaker 1: Jingle Ball, Tomorrow Night TLC, Salt-N-Pepa, and in Vogue, Jack Johnson. Actually,
- 30:37Speaker 1: we don't play Jack Johnson. I listen to Jack Johnson
- 30:39Speaker 1: every now and then. Jack Johnson, Hollywood Bowl, tomorrow and Sunday.
- 30:42Speaker 1: Love his vibe. This is the one I would check out.
- 30:44Speaker 1: There's a giant festival in downtown L.A. on Sunday, dedicated
- 30:47Speaker 1: only to moleh. 80 mole chefs making their mole people.
- 30:53Speaker 1: When you make a mole, I mean, I've met like
- 30:55Speaker 1: prize mole cooks and chefs.
- 30:57Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 30:58Speaker 1: It's saying it's a family recipe. It's something you're very
- 31:00Speaker 1: proud of making and it's complicated. It's not easy to
- 31:05Speaker 1: make mole. The more I've looked at and study, have
- 31:07Speaker 1: you ever made it?
- 31:07Speaker 7: Anybody?
- 31:08Speaker 5: Yes, I have. There's so many ingredients that go with it.
- 31:12Speaker 1: And you know, different families have different ingredients. How many
- 31:14Speaker 1: did you use?
- 31:15Speaker 6: Um, definitely over 10 ingredients. We, there's a version that
- 31:19Speaker 6: we make called Mancha Mantel, which is like a little
- 31:21Speaker 6: bit of like a sweeter type of mole.
- 31:24Speaker 5: Um, and it has so many ingredients. I couldn't even
- 31:27Speaker 5: list them.
- 31:27Speaker 6: Like when my aunt showed me how to make it
- 31:29Speaker 6: and me truck on, it was like, the list was
- 31:31Speaker 6: just never ending.
- 31:33Speaker 1: But that's what makes it so cool and unique with
- 31:35Speaker 1: everybody who makes it. Also the Santa Monica block fest
- 31:37Speaker 1: is this weekend. Festa Italiana tomorrow, six street in San Pedro.
- 31:42Speaker 1: OC Pride is in Santa Ana all day tomorrow. And
- 31:44Speaker 1: the Inland City Music Festival at White Park in Riverside.
- 31:48Speaker 1: So lots happening this weekend in Southern California. You might
- 31:52Speaker 1: just want to sit in a cooler. KISS coming back
- 31:55Speaker 1: with nonstop music. That's it for us today on the
- 31:58Speaker 1: KISS FM. Monday on the show, we are paying your bills.
- 32:02Speaker 1: Back to that, we've got a Ryan's Roses and those
- 32:06Speaker 1: sold-out Jingle Ball tickets presented by Capital One every hour.
- 32:10Speaker 1: The cool weather begins slowly tomorrow, and it arrives Sunday
- 32:14Speaker 1: in the next week. Take care. Thanks for listening to
- 32:18Speaker 1: On Air with Ryan Seacrest. Make sure to subscribe, and
- 32:20Speaker 1: we'll talk to you again Monday.
