  with lasting impact. Have you ever felt that quiet

  pressure inside? Like one decision could change
• 0:17
  more than just your own day? Like one choice could ripple out
• 0:21
  and affect people you love, people watching you, people you
• 0:25
  don't even realize are paying attention.
• 0:28
  That pressure is real because our lives are always speaking,
• 0:31
  even when we think they're not. Scripture puts it simply In
• 0:35
  Proverbs chapter 10, verse one, a wise son makes a glad father,
• 0:39
  but a foolish son is a sorrow to his mother.
• 0:42
  That verse isn't just about parents and children.
• 0:46
  It's about influence. Wisdom doesn't stay contained.
• 0:49
  It brings joy, stability, and peace to others.
• 0:52
  Foolishness doesn't stay private either.
• 0:54
  It leaves a trail of hurt, regret, and sorrow.
• 0:58
  Now hold that thought and step into Acts chapter 1.

  After everything the disciples had seen after the resurrection,
• 1:05
  Jesus tells them something surprising.
• 1:08
  He says in Acts chapter one, verse 4, that they were not to
• 1:11
  leave Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father.

  Wait. After all that momentum, all
• 1:18
  that excitement, all that urgency, Jesus tells them not to
• 1:22
  rush ahead. Then in Acts chapter one, verse
• 1:25
  9, as they're still processing His words, he is lifted up
• 1:29
  before their eyes and a cloud takes him out of their sight.
• 1:32
  Can you imagine that moment? The awe, the uncertainty, the
• 1:37
  weight of responsibility? Jesus is gone physically, and
• 1:40
  now what they do next matters more than ever.

  They could run ahead in their own strength, or they could obey
• 1:46
  and wait. That tension is something we
• 1:48
  live with every day. Do I react or do I respond?
• 1:52
  Do I rush or do I trust? Do I choose what feels good now
• 1:55
  or what builds something? Lasting wisdom often looks
• 1:58
  slower. Waiting on God can feel
• 2:01
  uncomfortable, even risky. But impatience has a way of
• 2:05
  creating damage that wisdom could have prevented.
• 2:08
  Living with lasting impact means understanding that today's
• 2:11
  choices shape tomorrow's testimony.
• 2:14
  The way you speak. The way you forgive.
• 2:16
  The way you say no when it's hard.
• 2:19
  The way you wait when everyone else is moving fast.
• 2:22
  People are being affected by your decisions whether you see
• 2:25
  it or not. And here's the hope Jesus didn't
• 2:28
  ascend and leave them alone. He reigns.
• 2:31
  He is alive. He is still guiding, still
• 2:34
  empowering, still faithful to send what He promised.
• 2:37
  When you live with eternity in mind, your daily choices begin
• 2:41
  to line up differently. Wisdom becomes worth it.
• 2:44
  Waiting becomes purposeful. Faith becomes active.
• 2:47
  Let's pray. Heavenly Father, thank you for
• 2:50
  reminding me that my choices carry weight.
• 2:53
  Help me to walk in wisdom that honors You and brings life to
• 2:57
  the people around me. Teach me to wait on Your timing.

  Instead of rushing ahead in my own strength.
• 3:03
  Keep my heart anchored in the truth that Jesus is alive,
• 3:06
  reigning, and guiding my steps. I want to live with lasting
• 3:09
  impact, shaped by Your wisdom and led by Your Spirit in Jesus
• 3:13
  name, Amen. What if the way you pray changed

  because you truly knew who God is?
