The Great Trek, Boers, and the prophecies that helped them
Simon Roche is a regular on my podcast. He is the spokesman for the Suidlanders, an exit-strategy group here in South Africa that prepares for a race-based civil war — which hopefully will never happen, but exists just in case, given our racially tense history.
This time, we chatted about the difference between Afrikaners and Boers, the Great Trek, the battles against the British Empire, and an important Boer prophet by the name of Siener van Rensburg.
