- 0:22Speaker 1: Hello, It's that time of year again, the spooky time.
- 0:28Are you ready for a Halloween adventure? Yes, then buckle up,
- 0:35but first close your eyes and settle down in your
- 0:40nice comfy bed. Take a deep breath in, and then
- 0:46slowly and gently let the breath out again, deep breath in.
- 0:55Then slowly and gently let the breath out one more time.
- 1:03Deep breath in, and slowly and gently let the breath out,
- 1:10and just relax. Now, imagine that Halloween evening and you
- 1:20were going to go out trick or treating. You walk
- 1:25up a path to a very scary looking house and
- 1:30there are huge candles burning all around it and a
- 1:34lot of other odd things. It's a bit scary, but
- 1:38there are also large pumpkins everywhere. There are some small ones,
- 1:43but that are some very very big ones. And just
- 1:48as you're about to knock on the door, you hear
- 1:51a voice call out to you. You look around, but
- 1:55you can't see anyone. Think that's a bit odd. Raise
- 2:00your hand again to knock on the door when you
- 2:03hear the voice again, only this time it's a bit louder,
- 2:08and you stop and you say who's there? And a
- 2:12voice answers you, and he says, it's me. I'm down here.
- 2:17You look around, still can't see anything. I'm down here.
- 2:23So just by the side of the door you see
- 2:26a very large pumpkin and it looks back at you
- 2:29and smiles. Was kind of a weird smile where it
- 2:32still smiles. Well, that's a bit of a surprise. A
- 2:37talking pumpkin. Oh my word. And to your amazement, the
- 2:42pumpkin then stand up on his own two feet. He
- 2:47has feet, a pumpkin, he has feet. He reaches out
- 2:52his hand to you. Oh no, he's got hands as well.
- 2:56He looks at you and he smiles, and he holds
- 2:59out his and and he says, hello, My name is Fred,
- 3:03and I wonder if you could help me. This pumpkin
- 3:08has hands and feet on two little legs. He gives
- 3:12you a great big grin and a little laugh, and
- 3:15he says you look very surprised to see him stand
- 3:17up and talk. Well, you splattered a little bit, and
- 3:20he said, well, well, yes, you've never seen talking pumpkin before.
- 3:26Fred then asks you for your help. He explains that
- 3:31he lives on Pumpkin Island with all of his brothers
- 3:34and sisters, and on the island where they live. The
- 3:39evil ogres are trying to steal that island, which has
- 3:43been the home of the pumpkins for thousands of years.
- 3:47And you say, of course you will help him, and
- 3:50you ask him what do you have to do. Fred
- 3:53says that he will take you to Pumpkin Island, but
- 3:56you will have to go through a portal to reach him.
- 4:00Out a magic wand waves it in the earth. Then
- 4:02suddenly a doorway appears from nowhere. The portal is shiny
- 4:08and sparkly, and Fred tells you that you both have
- 4:12to step through it. He tells you not to worry, though,
- 4:15it only takes seconds and then you would be on
- 4:17the island. So you follow him through the portal, and
- 4:22before you can say Pumpkin Island, you are already there. Wow,
- 4:27how amazing was that? Just ahead of you you see
- 4:32a ginormous pumpkin. It is huge. It's the size of
- 4:38a very large castle. It is Pumpkin Palace. Fred says
- 4:44he's taking you to see the Queen of the Pumpkins,
- 4:46and this is where she lives. Fred tells you that
- 4:50this is a very special place and that they use
- 4:53magic here, but only for good things now, and they
- 4:57all have magic ones. You reach the palace and enter
- 5:03through massive wooden doors, and you find yourself in a
- 5:07great hall, and at the end of the hall sits
- 5:10the Pumpkin Queen on a beautiful golden throne. As you
- 5:17near her, the queen gives you a lovely smile and
- 5:19explains that there are some very large ogres on the
- 5:22island and they are trying to steal it from the
- 5:25pumpkins because they think that this island is much nicer
- 5:29than theirs, so they want to live here. They want
- 5:32to get rid of all the pumpkins. That's not very nice,
- 5:34is it. The queen thanks you for helping them, and
- 5:39then she hands you your very own magic wand to
- 5:43grant you pumpkin magic, but she says you can only
- 5:48use it once a day, so be very wise how
- 5:51you use it. The queen tells you that you will
- 5:56have help to rid the ocres from the island, and
- 5:59then introduces you to two of her children, a boy
- 6:03and a girl pumpkin, who are brother and sister, and
- 6:06they are generals in the Pumpkin Army. The girl pumpkin
- 6:11is called Sylvie and the boy pumpkin is called Zach.
- 6:15They both smile at you and say hello, and you're
- 6:17still trying to get your head around the fact that
- 6:20they've got hands and feet and that they talk. Next
- 6:25comes to skeleton, whose bones are shaking and rattling rather
- 6:28a lot, and his name is Boning. He's a bit
- 6:32of a scaredy cat, really, but he really is a
- 6:35good soldier in the Queen's army. There is also a huge,
- 6:40giant and super strong mummy, all wrapped up in bandages,
- 6:44and her name is Samantha. She's a bit scary looking,
- 6:50but isn't that what you want when you need to
- 6:52scare off the ogres. Lastly, there is a vampire girl
- 6:57who flies and she is the bravest of them all.
- 7:01Nothing scared there at all. Nothing. A name is Savannah.
- 7:08The Queen tells you that this is the little brave
- 7:11army of soldiers who will help you. So the seven
- 7:15of you set off in search of the ogres and
- 7:18to chase them off the island. So now, for just
- 7:22a little while, go off with the little army and
- 7:25save Pumpkin Island. Do it your way with the help
- 7:30of your newfound friends, chase off the ogres and let
- 7:34them know that this is Pumpkin Island and it always
- 7:37will be and they have to go back to their
- 7:40own home.

- 11:28Speaker 1: Wow, that was fantastic. You saved Pumpkin Island from the
- 11:34ogres and you are so very very brave. But now
- 11:38it's time to return to the palace and tell the
- 11:41Queen that all is good for Pumpkin Island. The ogres
- 11:45have been chased away. You reached the Queen sitting on
- 11:51her throne and tell her all about saving the island,
- 11:55and she is so grateful. The Queen thanks you very
- 11:59much for saving Pumpkin Island, and in return for your bravery,
- 12:04she gives you a very special magic key, and this
- 12:08key grants you access to Pumpkin Island any time you
- 12:12want to come back. The Queen makes you an honorary Pumpkin.
- 12:19She also invites you to have a sleepover with them,
- 12:22and of course you are delighted and so you would
- 12:25like that very much. So your new friend Fred takes
- 12:30you to your very own room, which has a very
- 12:34large bed with a pumpkin quilt and pillows on it.
- 12:39You climb up onto the bed because you're very tired
- 12:42now and after all you have had a very busy day.
- 12:48We say good night to Fred and lie down under
- 12:51the soft and squishy quilt, and you give a big
- 12:55sigh of contentment and close your eyes, still holding your
- 12:59magic key, and your body begins to feel completely relaxed now,
- 13:07and it's starting to feel a bit heavy, so you
- 13:11take a deep breath in through your nose and slowly
- 13:15and gently blow it out from your mouth. You take
- 13:21another deep breath and slowly and gently blow it out
- 13:27from your mouth, and you feel a gentle wave of
- 13:32sleeping and starting at your feet. You can feel your
- 13:35toes going to sleep. It feels all warm and tingly
- 13:38and ever so soft. You feel a soothing wave of
- 13:43sleepiness coming up your calves and your shins. You feel
- 13:47like going up your thighs, and you think the legs
- 13:50have already gone to sleep. I think they probably have to.
- 13:55You feel so very tired now, so sleepy, happy, and
- 14:01this beautiful wave of sleepiness travels all the way up
- 14:05your body and down your arms and into your hands,
- 14:09making your body feel very very heavy, very very tired,
- 14:15and very very sleepy. This gentle, warm wave of sleepiness
- 14:21travels up your face and over the top of your
- 14:24head and down the back of your neck. Oh, and
- 14:27you feel so tired now, so so sleepy that you
- 14:32feel very peaceful, very relaxed, so relaxed, so very very sleepy.
- 14:41Now you just want to sleep. But when you wake
- 14:46up in the morning, you will still have your key
- 14:49tucked safely away until you need to visit Pumpkin Island
- 14:53once again. And remember you are safe, you are and
- 15:01you are protected always by night.
