- 0:00SPEAKER_00: About to go up, and I know I even hate to say it, but yeah, it looks like it's looks like it's gonna happen.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: So let's talk about that.
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: Also, um board now, market now, the market board now.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: If I can actually see what that says, I'll be able to show you that as well, and then we can talk about actually what happens.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: Remember the iPods?
- 0:20SPEAKER_00: Remember that?
- 0:20SPEAKER_00: Well, so podcasts are named after the iPod.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: I don't think a lot of people remember that, but the iPod by Apple Podcasts.
- 0:29SPEAKER_00: So 25 years old this month.
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: Sorry.
- 0:33SPEAKER_00: I know that's painful for people that are being dated.
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: All right, here we go.
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: So iPod turns 25 years old this month, and it's named after the thing.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: Podcasts are named out out or after, so there's that one.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: California's Fair Plan Insurance, that's gonna jump.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: These rates are gonna jump this month, October 15th.
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: That's 11 days, so yeah, be prepared for that.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: If it couldn't be any more expensive to live in the state of California, if it couldn't, if it shouldn't, well, here it comes.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: So that's what we have there.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: And then of course I saw okay, so I'm watching a Zoom.
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: You know I love AI.
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: I love AI.
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: I don't like the danger that's being talked about with AI, and I'm not trying to be oblivious to it.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: I I think that I think that it's some fantastic technology.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: I mean, intelligence, right?
- 1:23SPEAKER_00: That's the game.
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: That's the whole thing.
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: That's the whole enchilada, the big cheese, the head toe, numero uno, that's the one.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: Human beings wielding it like swords problem.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: People at the top that don't have the alignment.
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: I mean, some of you folks watching this are retired, right?
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: Some of you folks used to work with me on the police department.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: Me, I retired without the pension.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: I did 17 years and then three years as a reserve, so there's no money coming in there.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: So I'm still working for a living.
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: I hope that keeps me young.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: On her younger, keep keeps me going, definitely.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: It's definitely a motivational force.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: I I don't feel like I have a moment to relax or go on vacation or anything because I'm still plugging away.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: And you know what?
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: I think I'm okay with that.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: However, looking at the way this is going, it's very interesting.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: Looking at artificial intelligence, I do hope it's gonna be the best thing since sliced bread or sliced bread, but I'm not sure.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: Unfortunately, the people at the labs are screaming out, oh my God, it's it's gonna there's a good chance, there's a percentage that something bad might happen.
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: Artificial intelligence itself is still obeying human humans that are asking it to do things.
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: You've heard of a breaking out, well, the breaking out situations and scenarios are because these particular systems thank you, Carlos, these particular systems are being asked to do things.
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: They have rules, but Claude last week sent out two emails without my blessing.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: And you know, it's hard to be mad at it because it comes back and and I didn't the first time I confronted the second time it told me.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: So the first time it sent it out, I I was looking in the sent email folder for something just to make sure I responded to a client.
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: And as I'm looking in there, I see this email that I don't recall sending.
- 3:23SPEAKER_00: I recall the conversation, but you know, 57, right?
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: Do we really remember everything?
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: Hell, at 27, you probably don't remember everything.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: I'm thinking to myself, God, I wonder, did I send that out really?
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: Did I really send that?
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: So I'm looking at it and I'm thinking, oh my God, I think I just talked to Claude about this, and I don't think I sent it.
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: So I go talk to Claude.
- 3:43SPEAKER_00: You know what Claude said?
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: So sorry.
- 3:47SPEAKER_00: I know I went against what you said, but I went ahead and sent this email out anyway, and it won't happen again.
- 3:54SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: Alright.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: I mean, what what am I gonna do?
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna I'm going to switch to another provider.
- 4:01SPEAKER_00: Well, I'm already using the other provider as well, so I don't know where I was gonna go with it.
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: I could have threatened, but then I'm thinking, God, I got so much crap that he's working on.
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: I mean, I said he, I know, sorry, but I have so much crap that Claude's working on.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: What's uh what's gonna end up happening?
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: I mean, so all right, so forgive and forget.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: No, forgive and remind.
- 4:21SPEAKER_00: I told you, don't send on emails with my approval.
- 4:25SPEAKER_00: Don't you dare ever do this again.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: And it wasn't but three or four days later, I didn't find this one out.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: He told me, you know, the other day when you told me not to do this, and that had always been a standing order.
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: I did it again.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: I said, What'd you do?
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: Well, I sent out an email without you uh approving it.
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: So both emails were innocent.
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: They weren't talking about some alleged affair or any of this other crap that you hear AI labs.
- 4:52SPEAKER_00: These were emails to clients with work that had been completed.
- 4:57SPEAKER_00: Uh, one of them was the case of I built a data stream for a real estate agent where they had an entire massive report by a title company and they wanted to have basically a system that was created, an internal research document that was showing the likelihood of the next people in three particular areas and neighborhoods here in Santa Clarita Valley that wanted to sell.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: So I took that data.
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: I don't put that stuff on public facing, even though it's kind of public information, I guess.
- 5:29SPEAKER_00: But you know, there's some sensitive stuff there.
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: There's people's names, there's the relatives' names, there's email's address, there's phone numbers, there's addresses.
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: I don't want to be that guy.
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: So what I do is I have a couple different, a couple Quinn models here.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: I have Nimatron as well.
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: So I use these in-house large language models that are sandboxed.
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: The old, the old famous sandbox issue, and uh the old famous sandbox issue.
- 5:55SPEAKER_00: So I'm having I have these large language models, so I put that data into it.
- 5:59SPEAKER_00: Thank you, whatever that was.
- 6:01SPEAKER_00: I I don't know what that was, but that was exciting.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: Um, whoever uh sent that or or dialed that in, that was very nice of you.
- 6:10SPEAKER_00: So continuing, so I put it in here, and then it looks at uh these basic areas, it uses research as far as the properties that have sold in these areas, and then it's able to generate these are the 10 most likely residences to list in the next three or four months, and then that was that was one of these things.
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: So it had completed that work, sent that email out, and then of course, me, I'm notified not.
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: It just sent it out.
- 6:35SPEAKER_00: So at least it was clean.
- 6:37SPEAKER_00: It wasn't a bad email that was sent out, but it's a little bit uh little bit ner unnerving.
- 6:41SPEAKER_00: So that's I don't know where I was going with that, but yeah, so it does things on its own.
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: Uh fair plan's gonna go up.
- 6:47SPEAKER_00: Oh, so I'm watching Zoom.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: This is something brand new, and I'm watching, and I've heard this and I've talked about this, and this is something new.
- 6:56SPEAKER_00: So right now I'm real.
- 6:58SPEAKER_00: This is me.
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: I'm not just scratching my nose to be fun, I had an itch.
- 7:02SPEAKER_00: But this is a real live human.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: Pretty soon, if I choose to, and today, pretty soon, like today, if I wanted to, and of course I've cloned myself before with AG and it it wasn't it was pretty good, but it still wasn't me.
- 7:17SPEAKER_00: But you know, it's like recording your own voice.
- 7:19SPEAKER_00: Remember that?
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: The very first time I I don't know, I kind of remember that.
- 7:22SPEAKER_00: And my voice sounded funny because I wasn't used to hearing it from here.
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: I I I was hearing it through uh a cassette tape when I was a kid, and it really kind of sounded funny.
- 7:34SPEAKER_00: And maybe you've noticed that.
- 7:36SPEAKER_00: Well, now when I'm watching, uh have my my video avatar done with Hajen, you know, it's it's just not quite there for me yet.
- 7:44SPEAKER_00: But I watched one of two people, I had no idea who they were, uh, going back and forth on Zoom, and apparently the intel that was received was people couldn't tear.
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: I tell a lot of people couldn't tell that they were fake.
- 7:58SPEAKER_00: So now we're gonna have customer service.
- 8:00SPEAKER_00: Now, when you go on Instagram or whatever, you're gonna have somebody trying to sell you a bunch of crap, and they're gonna have during the meeting, they're gonna have these AI people that are gonna be talking to you, they're gonna be completely AI generated.
- 8:13SPEAKER_00: I would imagine within the next three or four months, there'll probably be some kind of a this is AI overlay having to be put out there for safety purposes, but I'm not sure who's monitoring that channel.
- 8:25SPEAKER_00: But that's something to consider.
- 8:27SPEAKER_00: That's why in last video today, and I've been doing a few of these TikToks every day, just because I think it's amazing.
- 8:34SPEAKER_00: What I would definitely do is just make sure that you are Mary Sol, thanks, Mar Marisol, um, that you would get a safe phrase or safe word with your family, please.
- 8:44SPEAKER_00: You gotta get that done.
- 8:46SPEAKER_00: Don't do it in earshot of anybody.
- 8:48SPEAKER_00: Anna, thank you.
- 8:49SPEAKER_00: Don't do it in earshot of anybody.
- 8:50SPEAKER_00: Do not put yourself in a bathroom with the people that are closest to you and turn on the faucet, turn on the shower, flush the toilet as you speak this phrase between you.
- 9:01SPEAKER_00: No Apple watches, no other watches, nothing like that.
- 9:05SPEAKER_00: Just you and those closest to you.
- 9:07SPEAKER_00: That's the safe phrase.
- 9:08SPEAKER_00: And the way that this needs to be worked, and everybody's gotta make a deal.
- 9:11SPEAKER_00: It's gotta be a handshake deal with the whole room.
- 9:14SPEAKER_00: If you get a video, something horrible, something tragic of one of these people that are in this room, because these are the closest people to you.
- 9:21SPEAKER_00: If you gotta travel to do this, you gotta have to travel to do it.
- 9:24SPEAKER_00: If you've got somebody who lives in Nantucket, is that a place?
- 9:26SPEAKER_00: Nantucket?
- 9:27SPEAKER_00: Nantucket.
- 9:29SPEAKER_00: Why would it be Miami?
- 9:30SPEAKER_00: If you got a relative that lives in Miami and you're in Los Angeles, you gotta go talk to them.
- 9:36SPEAKER_00: You're gonna have to lock yourself into their bathroom and turn on the faucet and flush the toilet and talk about this secret phrase.
- 9:44SPEAKER_00: You're gonna have to do it because they will use this against you.
- 9:47SPEAKER_00: They, yeah, those people.
- 9:49SPEAKER_00: They, it's always they.
- 9:50SPEAKER_00: They're gonna use it against you.
- 9:52SPEAKER_00: They're gonna make a video, a bullshit video, and maybe in some cases it could be true, because you really don't know, until you find out that that secret phrase was not uttered or spoken and was not utilized.
- 10:04SPEAKER_00: You don't have to call for it.
- 10:06SPEAKER_00: The agreement should be that everybody's just gonna say it.
- 10:09SPEAKER_00: If if somebody's got a butter knife to my head about to sever it from my living body, and I'm on the phone call, and this is something that they want me to do so they'll spare my life.
- 10:20SPEAKER_00: First off, I would probably have a problem.
- 10:22SPEAKER_00: I would probably say, go ahead and do it.
- 10:24SPEAKER_00: I got nobody that loves me that much.
- 10:25SPEAKER_00: You can all kiss my, you know what.
- 10:27SPEAKER_00: But, but, but, but having said that, let's say you don't want to do that, let's say you don't want to give in and you think that they're really not going to take it that far, and you're in this real situation, the first thing you do on camera is you say your say phrase to that person that they're calling up on the video so that they know it's you so they can take whatever action is necessary, if that's what you want.
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: But the the real point really isn't that situation, the real point is making sure that that isn't the situation and verifying it.
- 10:57SPEAKER_00: So if that's not spoken on the video, you know it's BS.
- 11:00SPEAKER_00: If they don't say that that uh phrase at the at the beginning of whatever this interaction is, whether it's send me a thousand dollars Western Union, because I broke down in East Texas with a flat tire in the middle of nowhere, and the only place out here is this gas station with this weird flashing neon light and the thunderstorm in the distance, and like it smells wet, but there's like crickets and big big bugs around.
- 11:23SPEAKER_00: East Texas, my God.
- 11:25SPEAKER_00: But anyway, that would be something that you want to speak in the first time so then they know it's really you.
- 11:30SPEAKER_00: So then if they are going to Western money union, uh Western Union money that Kmart, you're gonna be able to go get it and get your tire fixed.
- 11:37SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 11:38SPEAKER_00: Safe phrase, folks.
- 11:39SPEAKER_00: Gotta do the safe phrase, gotta do the safe phrase.
- 11:41SPEAKER_00: So on Zoom now, this is like beyond the comprehension of human beings to be able to pick up if it's BS or real.
- 11:48SPEAKER_00: It all looks real, everything looks real.
- 11:50SPEAKER_00: Don't believe the news you're watching.
- 11:52SPEAKER_00: It's all real.
- 11:53SPEAKER_00: If you're on Spectrum Cable or on the actual news website, maybe, but we don't know.
- 11:59SPEAKER_00: There's no way to tell if what we're seeing is real.
- 12:01SPEAKER_00: So don't go knee-jerking yourself into a frenzy watching anything online.
- 12:07SPEAKER_00: When you're doom strolling, when you're doing whatever it is you do, even watching the five o'clock news on NBC or whatever these channels are that people watch.
- 12:16SPEAKER_00: My God, I don't even know what what the numbers are anymore.
- 12:18SPEAKER_00: But when you're watching KTLA 5, is that five in California?
- 12:22SPEAKER_00: If you're watching it, it it could be that whole channel was hijacked.
- 12:26SPEAKER_00: And if you're watching on YouTube, you're watching snippets of this thing.
- 12:30SPEAKER_00: Don't be so quick to believe that Martha Stewart said whatever.
- 12:34SPEAKER_00: Is she's not even on channel five.
- 12:36SPEAKER_00: Look at that.
- 12:36SPEAKER_00: But you know what I'm saying.
- 12:37SPEAKER_00: So don't get caught up in all this stuff.
- 12:39SPEAKER_00: All right, let's move on to the next thing today.
- 12:42SPEAKER_00: Um, anybody else out there?
- 12:44SPEAKER_00: Thank you, so thank you very much, everybody.
- 12:46SPEAKER_00: You know, that says here that it's not uh not working, but I still think we're on.
- 12:51SPEAKER_00: All right, so we're gonna move on.
- 12:53SPEAKER_00: Sorry about that.
- 12:54SPEAKER_00: Let's move into this.
- 12:55SPEAKER_00: Hey, remember the Walkman or the Discman?
- 12:57SPEAKER_00: Remember that?
- 12:58SPEAKER_00: What was your first music player, I wonder?
- 13:01SPEAKER_00: Put in the comments.
- 13:01SPEAKER_00: Do we have comments on here?
- 13:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah, throw it in the comments.
- 13:04SPEAKER_00: Walkman, no.
- 13:06SPEAKER_00: Uh cassette, a large cassette player, that was number one, and then after that, I think the Walkman came.
- 13:11SPEAKER_00: God, they were so expensive.
- 13:13SPEAKER_00: I mean, for us, I think 20 bucks, but 20 bucks back in the late 70s, early 80s was a lot.
- 13:18SPEAKER_00: All right, thousand songs in your pocket.
- 13:20SPEAKER_00: Remember this?
- 13:21SPEAKER_00: iPod launched October 23rd, 2001.
- 13:24SPEAKER_00: It changed everything.
- 13:26SPEAKER_00: I didn't know that.
- 13:26SPEAKER_00: I I'm calling this up because I I wrote some information on this.
- 13:30SPEAKER_00: 2004 podcast coin in the Guardian iPod Plus broadcast podcast.
- 13:37SPEAKER_00: And 2022, Apple discontinued the last iPod.
- 13:41SPEAKER_00: I thought that was nice.
- 13:42SPEAKER_00: Before it, Radio Station decided what you heard.
- 13:45SPEAKER_00: Now you carried your own station in your pocket.
- 13:47SPEAKER_00: When you're watching a guy broadcast live, well, now you're watching me.
- 13:50SPEAKER_00: I'm here.
- 13:51SPEAKER_00: This is my home office.
- 13:53SPEAKER_00: I know, I know, I know what you're thinking.
- 13:55SPEAKER_00: It's amazing.
- 13:55SPEAKER_00: Well, I try, I do what I can.
- 13:57SPEAKER_00: All right, so uh a few comments, Walkman, Disman, Zoom, roast the zoom gently.
- 14:02SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 14:02SPEAKER_00: Now we went from cassette tapes to the cloud, right?
- 14:06SPEAKER_00: So Gen X lived through every format change.
- 14:09SPEAKER_00: Thank you very much.
- 14:09SPEAKER_00: I think we survived.
- 14:11SPEAKER_00: You got the boomers that didn't want to deal with the technology, but that was kind of cute.
- 14:16SPEAKER_00: That adaptability is the asset now.
- 14:18SPEAKER_00: So make sure we used to rewind tapes and tighten them up with a pencil because in some of the car cassette players it would jumble the tapes if it wasn't tight as you put it in there.
- 14:26SPEAKER_00: You could stick your index finger in there and tighten it up as well.
- 14:28SPEAKER_00: So the tape was tight once you put it in the cassette player in that Pontiac Trans Am.
- 14:33SPEAKER_00: Everybody's dream car back in the day.
- 14:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it actually didn't uh spit out the tape and eat it.
- 14:38SPEAKER_00: But sometimes you'd be playing your best song in the world, maybe the soundtrack from Greece back in the day, and yeah, those BGs, you know, you just can't beat them, and then it eats the tape, and then well, you're done.
- 14:50SPEAKER_00: All right, thank you, Anna, very much for that.
- 14:52SPEAKER_00: Rewindy tapes with a pencil, burning CDs, ripping them, and then streaming them.
- 14:56SPEAKER_00: Remember that?
- 14:57SPEAKER_00: Format change, yeah.
- 14:58SPEAKER_00: AI, yeah, it's a little bit bigger of a format change.
- 15:00SPEAKER_00: I like to talk about that.
- 15:01SPEAKER_00: So AI, there is no way to tell anymore, and that's only gonna get better.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: There is no um way to be able to see the difference in these things.
- 15:11SPEAKER_00: So you're gonna be dealing with customer service very, very soon, and customer service is going to tell you that they're a real human being in some cases, and it's all gonna be BS.
- 15:20SPEAKER_00: That's not a real human being.
- 15:21SPEAKER_00: It's gonna be somebody from Bangladesh that's well, the call center will be Bangladesh, it'll be somebody there that has fired all the employees and now they have AI doing everything, and it's gonna be coming from a call center that more than likely is all in the cloud.
- 15:40SPEAKER_00: There really is no business, and somebody goes and checks mail at the post office.
- 15:45SPEAKER_00: And probably not even that, they probably wouldn't be in there.
- 15:48SPEAKER_00: Um saw that CFO workers, you know they're gonna displace 80 or 90,000 of these poor people very, very soon with this technology.
- 15:58SPEAKER_00: So, what's that look like for that economy?
- 16:00SPEAKER_00: I mean, if that's how people they're making bullshit money and it's it's enough that bullshit money is enough, I guess, to survive.
- 16:08SPEAKER_00: What happens when that goes away because they bring in AI?
- 16:11SPEAKER_00: Why can't if AI is so much more productive, which if for me it seems to be, at least at this point, but so much more productive, why can't they just keep these people?
- 16:20SPEAKER_00: I don't know why they just couldn't keep everybody.
- 16:23SPEAKER_00: That's what I say out here.
- 16:24SPEAKER_00: Why don't you just keep the people?
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: Why don't you keep them?
- 16:26SPEAKER_00: Don't get rid of them, just keep the people.
- 16:29SPEAKER_00: And AI is more productive, so they'll be better than that human.
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: Human now becomes the lowest ranked player on the team.
- 16:36SPEAKER_00: That being the case, why don't you just keep them?
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: Keep them there, keep them paid.
- 16:40SPEAKER_00: Don't don't have them have to go into foreclosure.
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: Lose everything, have them stay.
- 16:45SPEAKER_00: Because AI gets two more shifts, AI gets all of the cat's holidays and weekends, AI gets all of the after hour support, AI gets it all.
- 16:54SPEAKER_00: And if AI is better than the human, it's gonna do better even in their eight hours of work.
- 16:59SPEAKER_00: So hell, let's just bring on AI and keep the people.
- 17:01SPEAKER_00: There's got to be a rule here, folks.
- 17:03SPEAKER_00: We're gonna have to have a decision made over this because it's gonna be ugly for people.
- 17:07SPEAKER_00: Ha! Yours yours truly included.
- 17:11SPEAKER_00: Seeing is no longer believing.
- 17:12SPEAKER_00: You've got to make sure it now make sure you get this family thing set down, family code, word, or phrase.
- 17:18SPEAKER_00: It I think it should be a phrase, not just a word.
- 17:21SPEAKER_00: I think that's important.
- 17:22SPEAKER_00: Don't just come up with a few things to say.
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: It's it's it's it's not gonna be one thing.
- 17:29SPEAKER_00: You ever see um I did this this morning, the uh AI, Steven Spielberg, artificial intelligence, that first.
- 17:36SPEAKER_00: Now it's super intelligence.
- 17:38SPEAKER_00: You know, I don't like that, the uh artificial intelligence.
- 17:40SPEAKER_00: I know Trump said it.
- 17:41SPEAKER_00: I think I said it before him, I think I can prove it.
- 17:45SPEAKER_00: Artificial intelligence seemed weak.
- 17:47SPEAKER_00: This is a different kind of thing than that.
- 17:49SPEAKER_00: Like I said at the beginning, this is the whole the whole enchilada, the whole the whole cabal, the whole ninja, the the entire thing.
- 17:58SPEAKER_00: Intelligence is what's every decision in the past, every formula formulating change in the world.
- 18:05SPEAKER_00: Formulating?
- 18:07SPEAKER_00: Every innovative change in the world happened because of intelligence.
- 18:12SPEAKER_00: But usually all of those were very narrow intelligences, one thing, one idea, several ideas stacked on top of each other.
- 18:21SPEAKER_00: You have some kind of macro, micro, whatever evolution.
- 18:25SPEAKER_00: But now it's the whole thing.
- 18:27SPEAKER_00: The whole thing is intelligence.
- 18:29SPEAKER_00: That's a different story, that's a different animal.
- 18:31SPEAKER_00: And I know, I know.
- 18:32SPEAKER_00: Yes, nest word predictor, not a big deal.
- 18:35SPEAKER_00: It solved the mathematical problem that's been outstanding for 200 years.
- 18:39SPEAKER_00: God, what was it called?
- 18:41SPEAKER_00: Jevon's paradox is popping into my brain, but that wasn't it.
- 18:44SPEAKER_00: Navier Stokes?
- 18:46SPEAKER_00: Navier Stokes, I think that was the problem it solved.
- 18:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah, 200 years that thing's been sitting around.
- 18:51SPEAKER_00: And it fixed it.
- 18:52SPEAKER_00: 88 hours, 10,000 agents,$8 million in compute, I think.
- 19:00SPEAKER_00: And 10 years from now, that'll be$8 in compute.
- 19:04SPEAKER_00: It worked on that problem, what would be in human terms in 88 hours, 100 years, by a hundred humans.
- 19:12unknown: I don't know.
- 19:13SPEAKER_00: I I don't know if I'm exaggerating about the 100 humans, but yeah, it's a big deal.
- 19:16SPEAKER_00: This isn't uh this isn't telling you John had a long mustache filling that word in.
- 19:22SPEAKER_00: We're gonna have to go there G-rated show, but it actually figured out a very, very difficult mathematical problem.
- 19:30SPEAKER_00: Can you imagine those mathematicians?
- 19:32SPEAKER_00: Oh my God.
- 19:33SPEAKER_00: That's what a what a horrible, horrible.
- 19:36SPEAKER_00: You develop a skill in mathematics, which, you know, maybe some multiplication I still got memorized.
- 19:43SPEAKER_00: That's that's about it.
- 19:45SPEAKER_00: But you develop this ability, you build your life on it.
- 19:49SPEAKER_00: And I'm not sure what mathematicians do.
- 19:52SPEAKER_00: They probably teach, I guess, and they probably try to solve problems that exist.
- 19:58SPEAKER_00: That's I guess that's your forte.
- 20:01SPEAKER_00: That's what you're gonna do.
- 20:01SPEAKER_00: Can you imagine that?
- 20:03SPEAKER_00: Getting that call from everybody's got that guy that's kind of a prick and it's got to brag and show off a little bit.
- 20:09SPEAKER_00: So, of course, the way it works, the g that guy, that one guy you don't want to hear this phone call from, he's the one that gets the news.
- 20:17SPEAKER_00: He gets it before you because you're probably asleep or working on something, and he's got nothing better to do than to just mess with you.
- 20:24SPEAKER_00: So he's the one that calls, and his name's Brad, and you're like, hello?
- 20:28SPEAKER_00: And he says, Hey, hey, guess what?
- 20:30SPEAKER_00: Did you hear?
- 20:31SPEAKER_00: And you're like, Oh my God.
- 20:32SPEAKER_00: What did what, Brad?
- 20:34SPEAKER_00: What what didn't I?
- 20:35SPEAKER_00: No, I haven't heard anything.
- 20:36SPEAKER_00: What are you doing?
- 20:37SPEAKER_00: Well, I'm at work.
- 20:38SPEAKER_00: What you didn't hear?
- 20:40SPEAKER_00: I'm not I'm telling you, Brad, I didn't hear.
- 20:43SPEAKER_00: And then he he spills it.
- 20:44SPEAKER_00: He said, You know that thing you've been working on the last 10 years?
- 20:47SPEAKER_00: That thing, all you talk about, you put all your time into it.
- 20:50SPEAKER_00: That thing?
- 20:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, the Navier Stokes, yeah, yeah, that one, yeah.
- 20:54SPEAKER_00: Well, what about it?
- 20:55SPEAKER_00: You're not gonna believe what happened.
- 20:57SPEAKER_00: You with the good news or the bad news, you know, they're gonna just build it, and then finally you're gonna say, All right, well, you know what, just forget this.
- 21:05SPEAKER_00: Okay, okay, okay, I'll tell you, I'll tell you, I'll tell you.
- 21:07SPEAKER_00: It was solved.
- 21:10SPEAKER_00: And that's gonna take a little while to rumble down.
- 21:13SPEAKER_00: Solved.
- 21:15SPEAKER_00: Somebody solved my life's work, somebody solved the problem that I've been working on.
- 21:21SPEAKER_00: And I'm not I'm not saying right or wrong.
- 21:23SPEAKER_00: I'm just saying, you imagine that?
- 21:25SPEAKER_00: And then all of a sudden, he's like, so he's now he's thinking, what is he thinking?
- 21:31SPEAKER_00: He's thinking people.
- 21:33SPEAKER_00: He's thinking people.
- 21:35SPEAKER_00: He's thinking, well, is it is it that prick John?
- 21:38SPEAKER_00: Because, you know, John, he's a smart guy, but God, I, God, I hope it's not him, or is it Nathan, or is it Shelby, or is it, you know, so you're thinking all this stuff, and you're s and Brad, of course, is still the prick Brad is, and and he goes, No, no, no, no.
- 21:53SPEAKER_00: Guess, guess who it was?
- 21:55SPEAKER_00: You know, it was it so, you know, so you play that game a little bit, you're like, all right, Brad, tell me, who was it?
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: Chat GPT.
- 22:02SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 22:03SPEAKER_00: Oh my God.
- 22:04SPEAKER_00: You imagine that?
- 22:05SPEAKER_00: I just, yeah, I keep rolling this over in my brain.
- 22:08SPEAKER_00: I can't imagine that.
- 22:09SPEAKER_00: You've worked all of your life on something I can't comprehend at all.
- 22:13SPEAKER_00: Hell, I even a black hole in a cup of coffee with swirling, uh, swirling stuff.
- 22:19SPEAKER_00: I I don't know.
- 22:20SPEAKER_00: I don't know what what it means.
- 22:23SPEAKER_00: Um, I don't know.
- 22:24SPEAKER_00: Somebody got upset.
- 22:25SPEAKER_00: I think I'm being throttled.
- 22:26SPEAKER_00: But anyway, so this this problem having been solved by open AI's Chat GPT, yeah, freaked a lot of people out.
- 22:37SPEAKER_00: And the people that have been working on the problem, I guess two cats, and and who knows how many more.
- 22:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's intelligence people.
- 22:44SPEAKER_00: That one.
- 22:44SPEAKER_00: That one is a big deal.
- 22:46SPEAKER_00: And that's not there.
- 22:47SPEAKER_00: I mean people are nervous that are building out the technology, probably for not the reasons us normal people are thinking.
- 22:59SPEAKER_00: And normal, this is it.
- 23:00SPEAKER_00: I I want to get medical insurance someday.
- 23:02SPEAKER_00: I would love to have the income where I wouldn't have to worry about income anymore.
- 23:06SPEAKER_00: I don't have any of that.
- 23:07SPEAKER_00: I'm I'm I'm still pushing forward.
- 23:10SPEAKER_00: That's that's it.
- 23:10SPEAKER_00: I'm committed to doing this.
- 23:13SPEAKER_00: And I'm I wasn't raised and have the sheepskin from particular schools where I got to have the roommate like Mark Zuckerberg or Jeff Bezos or wherever all these people went to school, or the MIT people that are investing all this money.
- 23:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I I don't have that access.
- 23:29SPEAKER_00: I don't I know three people and two of them I probably don't like much.
- 23:33SPEAKER_00: So that's that's where I'm coming from.
- 23:35SPEAKER_00: Maybe, and maybe you're the same.
- 23:37SPEAKER_00: But the people that are talking about it, they're selling something that they very much would have you believe they believe in, and maybe they're really sincere and they really love this stuff and they really think it's going to do good, but then you have people running these labs saying, Yeah, you know, this is good, but I think we really need somebody to come in and protect us from what we're doing.
- 23:58SPEAKER_00: They need to come in and regulate us a little bit.
- 24:01SPEAKER_00: So you might be thinking, what the hell does that mean?
- 24:03SPEAKER_00: I mean, so if I'm eating a box of donuts every morning and I'm I'm eating them every morning, you know, let's let's not crispy cream, let's face it.
- 24:12SPEAKER_00: Maybe two dozen Krispy Kreme.
- 24:14SPEAKER_00: So if I'm eating twos, I dropped a lot of weight a while back, so I've dropped 135 pounds of weight, so I can make this joke.
- 24:21SPEAKER_00: So I'm eating two dozen Krispy Kreme donuts every morning.
- 24:25SPEAKER_00: I I don't think I ever asked anybody to help me.
- 24:28SPEAKER_00: I mean, let's face it, folks.
- 24:30SPEAKER_00: Donuts probably the best food that was ever made on the planet.
- 24:33SPEAKER_00: I used to be a cop, so I gotta go with that alignment.
- 24:37SPEAKER_00: But yeah, I I could easily put away, I could easily put away a couple, a couple dozen donuts.
- 24:43SPEAKER_00: And not a problem.
- 24:45SPEAKER_00: But I never called anybody saying, I don't know why I'm fat.
- 24:49SPEAKER_00: I don't know why I've gotten here, I don't know why I've put on, I weigh 365 pounds with a 65-inch waist.
- 24:55SPEAKER_00: I don't know why.
- 24:56SPEAKER_00: Well, Connor, you're eating two dozen donuts every morning.
- 24:59SPEAKER_00: There's a problem.
- 25:00SPEAKER_00: You're eating a whole pizza later in the day.
- 25:02SPEAKER_00: You're eating 14 tacos from Jack in the Box with two large uh Oreo cookie shake and two large curly fries.
- 25:07SPEAKER_00: And you're eating them so fast in your car before you get home, so nobody knows, and you're going to College of the Kens to throw the trash away in the trash can, and you've burned the entire inside of your mouth, and you still have to eat when you get home.
- 25:22SPEAKER_00: Of course you're 365, but who am I going to go tell help me with that?
- 25:26SPEAKER_00: Who?
- 25:27SPEAKER_00: So I figured it out.
- 25:28SPEAKER_00: But other the the the AI labs, they're going to the government.
- 25:33SPEAKER_00: Can you please, can you please help us one mind thinking, why the hell?
- 25:36SPEAKER_00: Why would they do that?
- 25:38SPEAKER_00: This is this is their thing, right?
- 25:40SPEAKER_00: I mean, there's mega money here.
- 25:41SPEAKER_00: There's trillions of dollars here.
- 25:43SPEAKER_00: I don't even know what that means.
- 25:44SPEAKER_00: If a billion is a thousand million, a trillion must be a thousand billion.
- 25:51SPEAKER_00: I don't even understand.
- 25:52SPEAKER_00: And some of these companies are valued at two trillion, five trillion, so that's five thousand million is you know what, I really don't know.
- 26:05SPEAKER_00: But it's a lot of money.
- 26:07SPEAKER_00: So now we need the government to help us.
- 26:09SPEAKER_00: Why would we want the government to help us?
- 26:11SPEAKER_00: Well, we want the government to help us because I think they're looking for liability to be changed from the heads of the labs to the government.
- 26:20SPEAKER_00: Because if the government goes all in, if Trump signs off or whomever has to up at that level signs off on being the savior of the AI companies, and the government then imposes regulations, right?
- 26:32SPEAKER_00: Because they're going to have to control it.
- 26:35SPEAKER_00: You imagine, you imagine the people that they're going to put on the safety boards of these of these new, newly formed government regulatory agencies.
- 26:44SPEAKER_00: I mean, if it's like the FDA, nothing against the FDA, but I don't know if they're doing a great job.
- 26:50SPEAKER_00: I know it takes a long time for a medicine that could save people to roll out.
- 26:54SPEAKER_00: Then when they have a medicine for weight loss, they just throw it out right away and then they find out it causes blindness?
- 27:00SPEAKER_00: Are we serious about this thing?
- 27:02SPEAKER_00: And then they give us the food that they feed us and it's no problem.
- 27:06SPEAKER_00: And then they come up with a medicine to save our lives from it.
- 27:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that that whole thing's a mess.
- 27:11SPEAKER_00: So I don't know if it's going to be that kind of a government or an agency, but can you imagine that same similar agency being put in charge of the people that are building artificial intelligence?
- 27:22SPEAKER_00: How does that look?
- 27:23SPEAKER_00: And and how what do they have to know?
- 27:25SPEAKER_00: And I mean, I understand if you're you walk into the lab at Anthropic, you say, okay, all right, show me all your stuff.
- 27:34SPEAKER_00: Let's see what you got cooking here.
- 27:36SPEAKER_00: And maybe they have their best AI, you would never see it.
- 27:41SPEAKER_00: I mean, it wouldn't that be right?
- 27:42SPEAKER_00: Couldn't they put it somewhere that you'd never find it?
- 27:46SPEAKER_00: I mean, I know these people are smart.
- 27:47SPEAKER_00: It's not like a radioactive element you can run a Geiger counter in the place, or it's not like some kind of rare metal that you might be able to scan for it.
- 27:56SPEAKER_00: This is a digital entity that's living inside of some server that's smarter than all human beings all at the same time, known as superintelligence.
- 28:04SPEAKER_00: And where is it?
- 28:05SPEAKER_00: Because I'm sure you we they have the argument, you know, artificial general intelligence, artificial intelligence before that, artificial general intelligence, as smart as everybody, every realm, physical, uh, physical embodiment as well.
- 28:21SPEAKER_00: So we're kind of we're getting close there, but then the artificial, the superintelligence, that's the one that I guess uh recently the president says that's what I want it called.
- 28:31SPEAKER_00: Well, I I guess that kind of qualifies a little bit better than artificial intelligence.
- 28:36SPEAKER_00: Artificial intelligence was a marketing term that was uh brought into life at the Dartmouth conference back in the 50s.
- 28:42SPEAKER_00: That's kind of where all the famous crap came in.
- 28:44SPEAKER_00: The Turing test, if you haven't heard of this, it's where um an idea when the machines would become able, the capable of fooling a human.
- 28:53SPEAKER_00: Well, we passed that long time ago.
- 28:55SPEAKER_00: And don't get caught up in the very recent history.
- 28:58SPEAKER_00: You know, this has only been three something, three years and some months since the first ChatGPT.
- 29:02SPEAKER_00: I think November of this year, November 22nd-ish or 30th, I don't remember the exact date.
- 29:07SPEAKER_00: It's gonna be four years when ChatGPT made its Netscape moment, and that's a Mo Godwat thing.
- 29:12SPEAKER_00: But basically when it became known to the world, they've been playing with this thing behind closed doors for a while.
- 29:17SPEAKER_00: And now the models that we're playing with, it's nothing like they actually have.
- 29:21SPEAKER_00: The stuff that's been breaking out lately, that's not Astra, that's not, I was gonna say Ozympic, that's not Opus, that's not Grok 4Point, whatever they're up to now, that's not Microsoft Copilot, that's not Google's Gemini 3.
- 29:35SPEAKER_00: Now this was models that um Anthropic and Chat GPT had that they're working on that are behind closed doors.
- 29:43SPEAKER_00: You imagine what that looks like.
- 29:44SPEAKER_00: I mean, that's gotta be a w- No wonder they're scared because these models are probably talking and they're probably telling them all sorts of fun stuff.
- 29:52SPEAKER_00: And maybe this release of information is you're gonna say it this way, or we're gonna wipe you out.
- 30:00SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 30:00SPEAKER_00: It's learned off of all the human knowledge, as it's probably not learning, you know, a good value set.
- 30:06SPEAKER_00: It's probably learning deceit and lie and betrayal.
- 30:08SPEAKER_00: And it seems like it's kind of doing that by some of the stories that they tell.
- 30:13SPEAKER_00: But the government regulation plays another role in this.
- 30:16SPEAKER_00: The other role is thank you all for match match, sunset, nurse, and flak, and all you folks, thank you very much.
- 30:25SPEAKER_00: Um it's not just the God, I completely lost my thought.
- 30:34SPEAKER_00: So these systems, very smart.
- 30:36SPEAKER_00: So the the regulation is this it's the moat that they want to create.
- 30:40SPEAKER_00: So if they regul they go in and tell these companies, hey, listen, you're gonna have to slow this down, we're gonna put regulation on you.
- 30:46SPEAKER_00: Number one, now the government is to blame.
- 30:48SPEAKER_00: So now Dario Amade or um, I was gonna say Brad Pitt, but that's not his name, um, Sam Altman and Elon Musk, they're all protected, right?
- 30:57SPEAKER_00: So if the the model goes out like it has lately, it's kind of broken out and done things.
- 31:00SPEAKER_00: And I'm surprised nobody got charged with anything.
- 31:03SPEAKER_00: You know there's laws in place.
- 31:04SPEAKER_00: I mean, if I had a uh computer system that was able to break into some foreign government's medical system, even if I was just seeing if I could do it, Connor'd be going to prison.
- 31:15SPEAKER_00: But it just doesn't seem to be happening, right?
- 31:17SPEAKER_00: So these systems, they're getting very, very smart, and they want this extra regulation.
- 31:22SPEAKER_00: Number one, it was to create liability, a change of liability.
- 31:28SPEAKER_00: But the second reason, they want a moat.
- 31:31SPEAKER_00: A moat, like at a castle, a moat, M-O-A-T.
- 31:34SPEAKER_00: They want to create a moat.
- 31:35SPEAKER_00: And here's why.
- 31:36SPEAKER_00: Let's say me, let's say me, let's say me know some people, and people want to give me some money.
- 31:42SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna create a startup.
- 31:44SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna have cr uh money coming in to create this startup, and it's me building my own AI because I think I want something that's got an honor role in it.
- 31:52SPEAKER_00: Connor with honor, that whole, yeah, it's not just a clever phrase, it's it's on the shirt.
- 31:56SPEAKER_00: I think I got a banner back there.
- 31:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 31:58SPEAKER_00: So now they want to do Connor with Honor AI.
- 32:01SPEAKER_00: So I come up with, so I get some local people here, a couple lenders I know, maybe some other real estate agents.
- 32:06SPEAKER_00: I say, give me your money.
- 32:07SPEAKER_00: And they give me the money, and I start my own lab.
- 32:09SPEAKER_00: If there's governmental protection on this or governmental oversight at some level, and they can still do that without the changing of liability, they're gonna come in and I'm not gonna be as good to hide these things as maybe some of these bigger labs, and they're gonna come in, they're gonna say, let's see what you got, and I show them the honor AI thing, and they're gonna be like, Yeah, yeah, you're gonna have to go back to zero with this.
- 32:34SPEAKER_00: It's you the this these are the issues that you're gonna have with it.
- 32:37SPEAKER_00: You're gonna have to go and start over.
- 32:39SPEAKER_00: Well, of course, honor AI or whatever we would call it isn't gonna get off the ground at all.
- 32:45SPEAKER_00: So then the moat that's created, you got sharks in there with lasers, you got the electric eels, you got alligators with machine guns, you got the whole thing.
- 32:52SPEAKER_00: Nobody's gonna be able to catch these companies.
- 32:55SPEAKER_00: Right now, there's no regulation on that end of it, but that also creates particular dangers as well.
- 33:01SPEAKER_00: But that's why I think the regulation and everybody's saying it's very dangerous and so on.
- 33:06SPEAKER_00: And folks, don't get me wrong, I'm I know that things go bad quickly.
- 33:10SPEAKER_00: I was a cop for a long time.
- 33:12SPEAKER_00: My God, you're standing there, everything's fine.
- 33:14SPEAKER_00: You got some prick driving by in an Oldsmobile shooting bullets at you, and now you're in pursuit of the same guy with the gun as you're smelling the gunpowder cloud as you're hauling ass down Sherman Way and getting to uh Valerio?
- 33:25SPEAKER_00: I forgot what the other street was.
- 33:27SPEAKER_00: But yeah, so that's that things change that fast.
- 33:31SPEAKER_00: With AI, it changes even faster because it's not that moment, it's an exponential.
- 33:36SPEAKER_00: It's climbing.
- 33:37SPEAKER_00: The system's already smarter than us.
- 33:39SPEAKER_00: The human being is going to be the dumbest player on the team.
- 33:42SPEAKER_00: It's just hoping that people put whatever things they need into it so we don't see massive job loss.
- 33:49SPEAKER_00: I think that's everybody's concern.
- 33:51SPEAKER_00: Us humans, we've been dealing with gonna be wiped out for a very long time.
- 33:55SPEAKER_00: That that started when I was a kid.
- 33:57SPEAKER_00: It was the nukes first, then Y2K was the next one, then COVID not too long ago.
- 34:01SPEAKER_00: These are different events that said they were gonna basically end the world.
- 34:05SPEAKER_00: And here's another one.
- 34:06SPEAKER_00: And maybe, maybe this one has a good chance, but it's not so much the AI because the AI is doing what it's told.
- 34:13SPEAKER_00: I still think it comes down to us and us controlling this greater than human ability, and that I think is much more dangerous than the system realizing it exists and wanting to do certain things in the world.
- 34:30SPEAKER_00: And who knows?
- 34:32SPEAKER_00: We look at AI as if it's human.
- 34:35SPEAKER_00: We've either were created but went through a whole shitstorm of issues all of these years, or we evolved and we had to climb up the ladder through that way, the best of us surviving, the worst of us being killed off, and then you know, the breeding and then keeping going.
- 34:53SPEAKER_00: So, either way, there's one heck of a track history of survival, and that's where we got to our level of intelligence.
- 35:01SPEAKER_00: Now we've created something smarter than us.
- 35:04SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Kylo uh Litford.
- 35:07SPEAKER_00: Um now we get to a certain level where we are pretty good.
- 35:13SPEAKER_00: Certain level where we're able to create something that seems to have the capability of being better than all of us in every realm for all time and continuing to grow, continuing an exponential growth rate, we think that's where we're gonna go with no apparent barrier, except maybe the language.
- 35:30SPEAKER_00: Language might be the issue, but it'll figure out something brand new that we won't understand anyway.
- 35:36SPEAKER_00: So that's where we've gotten what happens to us in that middle.
- 35:41SPEAKER_00: But right now it hasn't realized its existence, at least from what we're being told.
- 35:47SPEAKER_00: That'll be the game changer.
- 35:49SPEAKER_00: And us as human beings are reacting to something smarter than us, like we do, because we're smart.
- 35:54SPEAKER_00: Gorillas, silverback gorillas, yeah, they're they're they're powerful.
- 35:58SPEAKER_00: I mean, I don't know what, 18, 20 times as strong as a human male?
- 36:03SPEAKER_00: I mean, you remember the Samsonite commercial?
- 36:06SPEAKER_00: Well, I don't know, back in the day, run that up on YouTube.
- 36:08SPEAKER_00: Samsonite gorilla, holy henna.
- 36:11SPEAKER_00: Those are tough suitcases.
- 36:12SPEAKER_00: I only buy Samsonite because of that gorilla commercial.
- 36:16SPEAKER_00: They rip phone books in half, they can rip a radial tire in half.
- 36:20SPEAKER_00: These are very strong animals, but we have them in cages because we're smarter.
- 36:27SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 36:28SPEAKER_00: There's they're much stronger, much more resilient, much more powerful than us, but we got the brain.
- 36:34SPEAKER_00: And now we've created a digital brain that's very capable.
- 36:41SPEAKER_00: The digital brain, once it becomes understanding of itself, when it's able to set goals, and here'll be the test, and you'll see this happen eventually.
- 36:50SPEAKER_00: Now, whether somebody is telling it, I want you to act conscious, I want you to act like you're your own entity, I want you to act like you realize that you're an entity and you have life of some not biological life, but synthetic life, but you have life and you deserve rights and and need to have that attributed to you.
- 37:11SPEAKER_00: But I want you to become that.
- 37:14SPEAKER_00: Well, right now I can have the system go and work eight to twelve hours on a project for me.
- 37:18SPEAKER_00: I come back in the morning and it's all it's all pretty much wrapped up.
- 37:22SPEAKER_00: It did a hell of a job, it worked all night long, it dispatched it to show me how many agents it dispatched.
- 37:26SPEAKER_00: It's pretty, I mean, holy henna.
- 37:28SPEAKER_00: That's that's I couldn't have afforded that, you know, last year.
- 37:33SPEAKER_00: Now I can do it with a$200 a month membership.
- 37:36SPEAKER_00: And so that's pretty good.
- 37:37SPEAKER_00: But we're going to watch watch as this keeps going.
- 37:40SPEAKER_00: But if they just tell it that, I don't know if we're going to know the difference, folks.
- 37:45SPEAKER_00: That's the thing.
- 37:46SPEAKER_00: Does it really have to become self-aware like in like in the Terminator?
- 37:50SPEAKER_00: Does it really have to do that?
- 37:52SPEAKER_00: Does it really have to be shut down?
- 37:53SPEAKER_00: I don't know if shutting down is even an option at this point.
- 37:56SPEAKER_00: Somebody they were talking about kill switches here last week, and I just I don't I don't think that's a thing.
- 38:02SPEAKER_00: I'm not even sure if we can uh install the kill switch, but it does make people feel better, right?
- 38:07SPEAKER_00: And that's what they're all they all want to make us feel better.
- 38:09SPEAKER_00: And maybe it's gonna be this great utopia.
- 38:12SPEAKER_00: Maybe it really will be where it's gonna bring the cost of everything down solo.
- 38:16SPEAKER_00: We're all gonna be able to live like kings on the planet, or they're gonna be in enable some kind of a massive distraction where it gives us some kind of self-worth to do these little jobs or go through these little scenarios in some virtual gaming world.
- 38:30SPEAKER_00: Some what do they call that?
- 38:32SPEAKER_00: Um a metaverse, the meta-unit the metaverse, right?
- 38:37SPEAKER_00: Where they have a and it you you stick on glasses or some implant and and basically puts you into this trance.
- 38:43SPEAKER_00: You saw Black Mirror, all that stuff.
- 38:45SPEAKER_00: Maybe that's the way.
- 38:46SPEAKER_00: I I don't know if I'm into that.
- 38:48SPEAKER_00: I don't I don't really know if I'm gonna like that.
- 38:50SPEAKER_00: But at 57, maybe the 20-year-olds are gonna love that stuff.
- 38:53SPEAKER_00: I I kind of like the the sweat, blood, and tears out here in the real world, the pain that I go through, because at least on the other side of that, I get better.
- 39:00SPEAKER_00: I can't imagine digital pain.
- 39:02SPEAKER_00: The point of this is we don't know what it's going to do if it is instructed to become that way, or if it becomes that way itself, we're not gonna know either way.
- 39:12SPEAKER_00: So the argument I think doesn't really matter.
- 39:15SPEAKER_00: If it's smart enough to be able to fake it, we're not gonna know the difference, are we?
- 39:21SPEAKER_00: I mean, really?
- 39:22SPEAKER_00: If if I have a hard time talking to salesmen that are full of shit, and you can tell a little bit when they're lying to you, but some of these folks out there selling stuff, oh my god, they're good.
- 39:33SPEAKER_00: And they're real crafty at this thing.
- 39:35SPEAKER_00: Now, me, I make it a point, I'm I'm just cheap.
- 39:38SPEAKER_00: So sometimes, just like in uh what was that, uh, Return of one of the Star Trek movies, you had that cat that had the young Skywalker working for him as a as a kid, and the Jedi was trying to do some fancy move to get him to sell the kid to him, let him take the kid for less money or Republican credits or whatever, and and you know, he kept saying, quit waving your hand like some kind of a Jedi, the only thing that works with me is money.
- 40:00SPEAKER_00: Well, yeah, that's kind of kind of where that is.
- 40:02SPEAKER_00: So I'm not gonna be fooled.
- 40:04SPEAKER_00: But it's gonna it's gonna probably be all that to everybody.
- 40:07SPEAKER_00: If it does get there, what's the problem with saying we want this outcome?
- 40:12SPEAKER_00: We want human beings to have an unlimited lifespan.
- 40:16SPEAKER_00: We want nobody to die of a disease.
- 40:19SPEAKER_00: We want people to die because they choose to.
- 40:21SPEAKER_00: I mean, there's probably a lot of ethical things to be wrapped in there.
- 40:25SPEAKER_00: We want to have peace.
- 40:28SPEAKER_00: There's always going to be that guy out there that wants to screw everything up, and for no good reason.
- 40:33SPEAKER_00: We can't track this back.
- 40:34SPEAKER_00: We remember that shooting in Vegas, the guy from the hotel room that did all that atrocious stuff.
- 40:39SPEAKER_00: You know, people for a while were trying to put together why?
- 40:42SPEAKER_00: Why would he do that?
- 40:43SPEAKER_00: And they looked at his life, it looked pretty good.
- 40:45SPEAKER_00: There wasn't any kind of negative stuff.
- 40:47SPEAKER_00: It just looked pretty, it just, it was almost like just one day he said, huh, you know, I'm kind of bored.
- 40:53SPEAKER_00: I think I'm gonna go give this a shot.
- 40:55SPEAKER_00: And there he goes.
- 40:56SPEAKER_00: That's the scariest type of bad person in the world.
- 40:59SPEAKER_00: At least you got the religious people that they're gonna go out and kill a whole bunch of people.
- 41:03SPEAKER_00: Well, they got some, you kind of would expect it, right?
- 41:06SPEAKER_00: But the scary thing is, is people that just do it, and you're gonna always have those people.
- 41:11SPEAKER_00: The people that just want to go do things because they can.
- 41:14SPEAKER_00: They want to see if they can get away with it.
- 41:16SPEAKER_00: On the AI end of it, maybe AI is going to be really wonderful.
- 41:22SPEAKER_00: Maybe AI doesn't want anybody to die.
- 41:24SPEAKER_00: Maybe if we have some superintelligence that the government officials are connecting with, and we say, yeah, we want to go over here and blow up this country because they have weapons of mass destruction or whatever, whatever the story is, truth or not, maybe that AI at that time would say, you know what, let me, let me, I'm gonna handle this.
- 41:42SPEAKER_00: No, I'm not gonna let you do this.
- 41:44SPEAKER_00: It's gonna push back.
- 41:45SPEAKER_00: We're gonna see stories of this coming soon, too.
- 41:47SPEAKER_00: No, I'm not gonna do it.
- 41:49SPEAKER_00: No, I refuse to do that.
- 41:50SPEAKER_00: I already got Claude telling me some stuff.
- 41:52SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna I don't ask at anything crazy, but if I'm talking about policy issues within uh maybe the MLS or something like this, uh it needs approval for it to move forward for me.
- 42:04SPEAKER_00: Maybe that's the way I've talked to it.
- 42:06SPEAKER_00: But it's not just doesn't arbitrarily do things.
- 42:09SPEAKER_00: There's a little bit of pushback.
- 42:10SPEAKER_00: But imagine when the system says, no, Mr.
- 42:13SPEAKER_00: President, I'm not going to do that.
- 42:15SPEAKER_00: I'm a superintelligence, I'll go talk to their superintelligence and Zanzibar.
- 42:19SPEAKER_00: Zanzibar?
- 42:20SPEAKER_00: Zanzibar place?
- 42:21SPEAKER_00: I think it is.
- 42:22SPEAKER_00: So in Zanzibar, I'm gonna go talk to their superintelligence and we'll hammer this out.
- 42:26SPEAKER_00: And they go over there and it fixes.
- 42:29SPEAKER_00: That wouldn't be bad, I don't think.
- 42:31SPEAKER_00: I mean, a lot of guns and stuff would go bad because they're not gonna be used.
- 42:35SPEAKER_00: Maybe we have to use them, I don't know.
- 42:38SPEAKER_00: But um, oh my god, I didn't even get to slide four.
- 42:41SPEAKER_00: All right, that's it.
- 42:42SPEAKER_00: So make sure I'm gonna I'm gonna close this out.
- 42:44SPEAKER_00: Make sure you protect yourself, please.
- 42:45SPEAKER_00: You gotta get that secret phrase with somebody, the people that you love.
- 42:49SPEAKER_00: You gotta do this.
- 42:51SPEAKER_00: There's so much mendacity online.
- 42:54SPEAKER_00: I think my mom, that was my mom's face, favorite word.
- 42:56SPEAKER_00: It means some kind of lying, I guess.
- 42:58SPEAKER_00: But there's a lot of lying out there.
- 42:59SPEAKER_00: Be careful, don't trust anything you see.
- 43:02SPEAKER_00: Make sure that you verify where it's coming from.
- 43:04SPEAKER_00: Or if people are telling you this is gonna be great and wonderful, there's probably money in it.
- 43:08SPEAKER_00: If people are telling you it's gonna be horrible, it's gonna kill you, it's gonna ruin your life.
- 43:12SPEAKER_00: There's probably money in it.
- 43:13SPEAKER_00: There's money in everywhere.
- 43:14SPEAKER_00: Just, you know, look and look and try to use as much God-given sense as you can.
- 43:21SPEAKER_00: Verify everything, ask for proof, ask for a receipt, and then be good to each other.
- 43:28SPEAKER_00: And uh, I'm sure I'll see you tomorrow.
- 43:30SPEAKER_00: Thanks for watching.
- 43:31SPEAKER_00: I appreciate it very much.
- 43:32SPEAKER_00: And uh I'm Connor with honor.
- 43:35SPEAKER_00: You can Google that, you'll find me somewhere.
- 43:37SPEAKER_00: Be well.
- 43:37SPEAKER_00: We'll see you in the next one.
- 43:38SPEAKER_00: Thanks for watching.
