- 0:22Of course, your host. Long time reader.
- 0:25I just realized the other day that I first picked up the book.
- 0:28In 1983, so that puts me at 42. Years.
- 0:32Of reading and studying and thinking about the revelation.
- 0:35And I never look back. And I I'm always.
- 0:39Grateful that people. TuneIn and explore the
- 0:42revelation I knew I have a a page which you may be aware of
- 0:49and it's. Called.
- 0:51Urantiaradio.org. We have our podcast which.
- 0:55Is on the Spotify network and then on iheart and all the
- 0:58different podcast platforms. But in addition to all that, we
- 1:02have your rancherradio.org and it.
- 1:05Sort of showcases. All of the recent updates and
- 1:08it's anyway. It's.
- 1:09It's also has a the. Your Rancher Radio live stream
- 1:12which we just added that component, so check it out when
- 1:15you get a chance. You can listen 24 hours a day on
- 1:19the Rancher Radio station. Just look for the.
- 1:22Live stream thing at the top of the menu and then if you want to
- 1:27listen to. Podcasts, obviously you're.
- 1:29Doing that now. So anyway, we're going to talk.
- 1:31About life. And what it's like on another
- 1:33world. And it's kind of boggling, mind
- 1:39boggling to me. That here we have.
- 1:41The Urantia book which has been around for 100 years and you
- 1:46would think that. A chapter dedicated to life.
- 1:50On Another World would at least get some attention from
- 1:53somewhere. They could have at least made a
- 1:56movie about it, you know, By then, by by this time.
- 1:59I've always found it fascinating and one of the things that makes
- 2:03the Urantia book a revelation. Is that it steps outside of.
- 2:07What you might call traditional Christian theology.
- 2:12In fact, I I wanted to point it out on my about page.
- 2:16My about page is the introduction on urantiaradio.org
- 2:21and I want to go there for a minute because it's important
- 2:24for me to. Share with you why I do this.
- 2:28What I'm involved with, and I think you're involved in it too,
- 2:31but let me just read to you. It's not very long.
- 2:34But it will tell you. Everything you need to.
- 2:37Know about why I believe this book?
- 2:40The Urantia Book is important for those people that are just
- 2:42stopping by or may not be familiar with the Urantia Book.
- 2:49I wrote this. The Urantia book is the history
- 2:51of creation it now becomes. Possible for all to?
- 2:55Grasp and interpret the meaning and.
- 2:57Purpose of life. Within a more comprehensive
- 3:00narrative of those events that. Preceded.
- 3:03Our existence, events that verify our universe is orderly,
- 3:09intelligently guided, and under the domain of a loving and
- 3:12mindful Creator now. That philosophic idea has.
- 3:17Been debated since the beginning of human history.
- 3:22The idea of the universe being orderly, intelligently guided
- 3:27most people aside from people of maybe faith and certain other.
- 3:33Philosophies or ideologies might.
- 3:35Perceive of the universe as being orderly, but they don't
- 3:39have evidence other than perhaps maybe some some ideas like
- 3:45gravity might be an indicative. Of order.
- 3:51Certainly the laws of thermodynamics, entropy, but but
- 3:57you can't quite put your finger on it.
- 3:58But the Urantia book does put its finger on it and it very
- 4:02plainly states that the universe is intelligently guided and
- 4:07under the domain of a loving keyword there is loving and
- 4:11mindful Creator the universe could not have.
- 4:15Have produced somebody like a Jesus.
- 4:18Without it being a domain of loving and mindful creation.
- 4:23And Jesus said that he. Was the.
- 4:24Son of the Father, and he who had seen him has seen the the
- 4:30highest potential of God in man that you.
- 4:33Could ever see. The Urantia book reinforces this
- 4:35concept. Now, this is not a traditional
- 4:40religious program. I wouldn't even consider the
- 4:42Rancho. Radio podcast A religious.
- 4:44Program in the way that I interpret that you're not going
- 4:49to hear anybody preaching to you here.
- 4:51My job is not to. Preach to you.
- 4:54And talk about sin or retribution or.
- 4:59The Gospels or try to. Interpret scripture.
- 5:01That's not. What this is about?
- 5:04It is about God. But it is not about preaching.
- 5:09It is about. Looking and studying the Urantia
- 5:11book. Because of what it.
- 5:12Says and as I state in my preface on my website, the
- 5:17Urantia book is a history of creation.
- 5:22Now more than 1/4 of the Urantia.
- 5:23Book, as I write, also discloses the.
- 5:26Life and Teachings of the Son of.
- 5:27God. Jesus.
- 5:29Of Nazareth as presented by our unseen friends whom we commonly
- 5:34referred to as the Midway or Commission and this group of
- 5:38semi spiritual, semi mortal community otherwise known as the
- 5:4411111 were there. They they witnessed the life and
- 5:49teachings of Jesus. It was an important event.
- 5:52It was an important event in the annals of of universal creation.
- 5:57Watchful eyes observed. Our little planet.
- 6:00For 33 years. Because the Son of Man was
- 6:05incarnated into the into flesh and bone.
- 6:08It was a momentous event. Can you kind of grasp if you
- 6:13understand the divinity? Of Jesus.
- 6:16You have to admit. That it wouldn't just.
- 6:18Be for this one. Little world, although we've.
- 6:21Benefited, mostly, but we're talking about a creation of up
- 6:25to 10 million worlds just in Christ Michael's domain alone.
- 6:31So I continue on with my preface on the Rancher.
- 6:35Radio.org. Says the arrangement.
- 6:36Book authors tell us. The two most valuable
- 6:39experiences a human being can have are the conscious act of
- 6:43communion with God as a personal living experience.
- 6:48What you will, what you. Will hear on this program.
- 6:50Is what we talk. Often about the spirit that.
- 6:54Is a part of. Every human being, and this is
- 6:57the glorious message, is that no matter where you come from, no
- 7:00matter what you. Believe.
- 7:02No matter your pedigree, your genealogy, none of that matters.
- 7:06Except for the fact that you are an.
- 7:08Ascendant human being. A soul potential.
- 7:11And you have within you a spark of the living father.
- 7:15His spirit lives within. Each one of us, and it makes it.
- 7:19Possible for us to. Have that that inner communion.
- 7:24If if God the. Fragment of the Father was not
- 7:26in us. We would not be conscious of
- 7:29that. He is not far off as an abstract
- 7:33many great religions. View of God of.
- 7:36Being far off and an abstract, something that we can never
- 7:39touch. And yet he is a part of us and I
- 7:43write. We are endowed.
- 7:44By the Spirit we. Are made in his image as shown
- 7:47by the existence of free will. We are free to choose or reject.
- 7:51This divine spirit, and it is that exhibition of free.
- 7:56Will that leads to? The age-old question.
- 8:00That everybody always asks, which is, if there's a God, why
- 8:04does he let? Bad things happen, and we've
- 8:07seen in recent history. With real tragedies.
- 8:09And there's always real tragedies going on.
- 8:11Why? Because when you have free will.
- 8:14You have choice. And when, When you're dealing
- 8:16with human beings, Human beings are capable of much error and
- 8:21much evil. Because they choose evil, they
- 8:25choose to reject. The leadings of the Divine
- 8:28Spirit and the Urantia Book I write in my.
- 8:32Preface says the second. Most important human experience,
- 8:35we're told. Is to study how Jesus lived his
- 8:38life Jesus displayed a. Living example of how man can
- 8:42find a God living life, a God centered life and in doing so
- 8:47reach our potential as ascending human beings.
- 8:50And I write the Urantia. Book is a religious.
- 8:53Book to be sure, but it is not a new religion.
- 8:56There are no formal. Groups, leaders or spokespeople.
- 9:00It doesn't qualify as what you might determine to be a cult
- 9:03because there are no leaders. There's no there is a community.
- 9:07Of believers that follow. And read and study and discuss
- 9:10and share their insights. But that's the extent.
- 9:14It is not a new living philosophy.
- 9:17What it? Does is it expands.
- 9:19Our philosophical concepts Urantia book is not someone's
- 9:23evolutionary idea. It is a.
- 9:26Revelational presentation of new truths intended to fill in the
- 9:30missing gaps of human. History.
- 9:32It is a. Lifting of the curtain to cosmic
- 9:35reality. Each of the four.
- 9:38Sections of the Urantia book are.
- 9:39Pieces of a Galactic. Puzzle that, when assembled,
- 9:42portray an intelligently designed and lovingly
- 9:45administered universe filled with various types of advanced
- 9:49mortals, semi and holy spiritual personalities who.
- 9:53All have a specific. Function in the Universal
- 9:56Ascension program. These angels and higher beings
- 10:00are guided by a much higher principle based on eternal and
- 10:04infinite reality concepts. Imagine what?
- 10:07It would be like. If you removed the.
- 10:10Obstacle of death. From your living experience, if
- 10:13you no longer had to. Worry about the idea of death.
- 10:18The cessation of existence. If that was removed, how
- 10:21different what your what? What would your concepts?
- 10:24Be. What would your ideas be?
- 10:28And I'm also convinced that the Urantia book is their attempt
- 10:31to. Disclose some of these.
- 10:33Concepts. As best as we.
- 10:35Can receive them in this age. So therefore I write.
- 10:41Having studied the Urantia papers for nearly half a
- 10:43century. I feel compelled to share it
- 10:46with others. Who might be inclined to study
- 10:49the book and each podcast? That we do here is a study.
- 10:52Of the 190. 6 separate papers. That comprise the Urantia book.
- 10:58So I appreciate you. And in a minute, we're going to
- 11:02talk about Paper 72 and what it. Is all about on.
- 11:08Life on another world. It's a profound idea, that.
- 11:12These revelators. Dedicated one paper to
- 11:16explaining. To us how?
- 11:18Human beings. Just like us.
- 11:21And that are not too far advanced of us or not too far
- 11:24behind, as you will see. And there's one group of people
- 11:29on this world. I'll give you a little tease and
- 11:31then we'll take a little musical interlude.
- 11:33As I like to do, but just to. Give you a kind of a quick
- 11:37summation. This other planet, they don't
- 11:40name it, they don't give it a name.
- 11:43But I have some ideas on that. And they say that this planet
- 11:47has 11 continents. Now we have what, 7 continents?
- 11:52We have 7 continents on our world.
- 11:54They have 11. Well, this planet has 1111
- 11:59continents, and of all the 11, only one of them has emerged
- 12:04from the. Savage stage of.
- 12:06Existence. So this one continent, which
- 12:09we'll learn about in just a minute, is compared to our life.
- 12:14Here. Perhaps in the United States,
- 12:17perhaps in Western civilization. And wait till you hear what?
- 12:20It has to say about how these other people live.
- 12:24In a minute here on the Rancho Radio podcast, Hang on.
- 12:44OK, we're back and I want to, again, thank you as we delve
- 12:48into Paper 72. Feel free to read along if you
- 12:51like. You don't have to.
- 12:52We won't read the whole thing. I'm just going to read some of
- 12:54the highlights and then give a summation and then I really want
- 12:58you to think about it. And again, this is.
- 13:04Out of. I almost wanted to call this
- 13:06segment off. World.
- 13:07Because I think about it so much, I can't even put into
- 13:13words how much I. Appreciate whoever put this.
- 13:18Together, it's momentous. It's.
- 13:21Historical it should. Be making headlines sometimes I
- 13:25I don't understand why nobody. Has caught this.
- 13:31This has not caught any community outside of the Urantia
- 13:35book and yet it is mind blowing to think about what we're being
- 13:40told and why and why are we being.
- 13:43Told What is it? That our unseen friends want to
- 13:46share with us. Why do they want to share?
- 13:49With us. Look around you.
- 13:52Look at. What's happening to our?
- 13:53World. This is the world where Jesus
- 13:56chose to live his. Life 2000 years later, look at
- 14:01what's happening. You know the one thing good
- 14:03about social media, And maybe it's not even a good thing.
- 14:07I'm not sure the. Jury is still out, but you
- 14:11really do. See, I think more of what's
- 14:13going on in the world than you would.
- 14:16Ever see? Because the news and and these
- 14:19various agencies, they don't really go out and.
- 14:24Tell us what's really. Going on some of us live in
- 14:28these large cities and we. See the filth?
- 14:30That's piling up and the number of homeless you're seeing a
- 14:34degradation of. Society.
- 14:38It's almost like we've reached an apex and now we're going the
- 14:41other way. So I asked myself, did the
- 14:44Urantia revelator see this coming?
- 14:46I mean these are advanced semi spiritual beings.
- 14:49They've been around for eternity.
- 14:51Some of them, they know what's going on.
- 14:55I mean they see where the. Trajectory is we.
- 14:58We have a lot of things that are going against us.
- 15:01We've got the fact. That our planetary Prince
- 15:04Calagastia. Threw his.
- 15:07Lot in with Lucifer during the rebellion And what did that do
- 15:12that threw us into a darkness for over 200,000 years when
- 15:16mankind should have been learning the.
- 15:18The basic essentials of. Civilization building.
- 15:21You know, if you don't believe me, I want you to do something
- 15:25for me. I want you to go, and I want you
- 15:26to find out where Lake Van gets its name.
- 15:31Lake Van and Eastern. Turkey, it's the largest.
- 15:33Inland lake I think in and Turkey you do.
- 15:37All the research. You can go.
- 15:38Talk to historians. Go.
- 15:40And to the. Halls of the Greatest.
- 15:42You know museum you can find and and try.
- 15:45To figure out. Where Lake Van comes from And
- 15:48then ask. Yourself.
- 15:50Why is it? Are there vestiges of superior
- 15:53civilizations? In this region, the oldest
- 15:56region of Earth, Goblecki. Tepe is there.
- 16:00Lake Van, the Assyrians, all of the If you look at a map of the
- 16:04where civilization starting to emerge in prehistory, you'll
- 16:08find that it completely validates what the Arantia book
- 16:11says, that at one point we had the Nodites and the Vanites, and
- 16:16these were the. Vestiges of the Calagastia.
- 16:19Civilization that went awry. During the Lucifer rebellion.
- 16:23I hope I'm not going too fast. My point is.
- 16:26This is that we. Are reaching an apex of
- 16:29something, everybody. Feels it, everybody says.
- 16:32Something's going on when that. Kirk fellow got shot.
- 16:37A lot of people said that they felt the spirit.
- 16:43Of something unusual. Turning point.
- 16:47And so that might explain why the tarantula.
- 16:49Book revelators thought that. Maybe this was the time and
- 16:53certainly the maybe it was the time to give these people a
- 16:57little nudge. Maybe it was time to reveal to
- 17:00them some information. A good friend of mine, a good
- 17:04friend of mine always says, how can you know?
- 17:06Who you are? If you don't know where you came
- 17:09from. And so in my preface on the
- 17:13Oranja book, I say it's a history book.
- 17:16How do we ever get a good. Assessment of who?
- 17:18We are as a people, as a race, as a culture.
- 17:22As simple human beings, if we don't know where we came from
- 17:25and then how? What it took to get here.
- 17:29And this is what you read about in the sections of the Urantia
- 17:32book about marriage and family. Life it gives a.
- 17:36Timeline of how marriage evolved, how families evolved.
- 17:41It's important to know that information because it gives you
- 17:44a better sense. Of.
- 17:46Measurement of. Measurement of.
- 17:48Progress and it. Says a lot about women and their
- 17:52challenges today now that they've been liberated for so
- 17:55long they were they were essentially might consider them
- 17:59enslaved and. Says with that liberty.
- 18:03Comes great responsibility and family, by the way, is very
- 18:08important in the Urancha book it says the family is the
- 18:11foundation of of progressive humanity without strong
- 18:14families, you cannot have a a strong society it is impossible
- 18:19so at some point the. History of society.
- 18:22And the evolution of growth and the evolution of mankind
- 18:26himself. And then in Paper 72, all of the
- 18:29sudden out of nowhere they start talking about another planet.
- 18:34But where did that? Come from Wait a minute, we were
- 18:37just talking about. Earth Well paper. 71 in the
- 18:43culmination of explaining how. Society has evolved with all of
- 18:47our. Cultures and our traditions.
- 18:50The final. Paper is the character of
- 18:52statehood. And it gives us and we've.
- 18:53Covered that before it gives us tools.
- 18:56On how we can ensure that our statehood survives and doesn't.
- 19:00Collapse, so at that. Juncture they switch and they go
- 19:06over to paper 72 and they say, OK, now that we've explained to
- 19:10you what we think you could do to move along society on
- 19:17peaceful means. So when they open by this in
- 19:21paper 72. It says by.
- 19:23Permission of Laniferge. Laniferge.
- 19:26Replaced Lucifer. When Lucifer defaulted and he
- 19:31through his. Rebellious ideas this is.
- 19:34Centuries and centuries ago, he was eventually being held in
- 19:39custody awaiting adjudication Laniferge and he is the system
- 19:45sovereign. He is a Latinandek's son.
- 19:49Laniferge is his name and he. Overseas.
- 19:53The entire system of. Worlds of which we exist, so the
- 19:57writers of the. Urantia.
- 19:58Book had to go. To Laniferge and say we want to
- 20:02present life on another world to the benefit.
- 20:06Of. The people of Urantia, Michael.
- 20:08'S world, so by. Permission of Laniferge, the
- 20:11Urantia book writes, and with the approval of the Most High.
- 20:15And we know the Most High's rule in the kingdoms of men from our
- 20:19Bible. The writer of this.
- 20:22Paper says I am authorized to narrate something of the social,
- 20:26moral and political life of the most advanced human race living
- 20:30on a not far distant planet belonging to our system to our
- 20:35system of satania of all the satania worlds, where which
- 20:40became. Isolated because of the.
- 20:42Participation of the Lucifer Rebellion.
- 20:44This planet has experienced a history most like that of
- 20:47Urantia and the similarity. Of the two spheres.
- 20:51Undoubtedly explains why permission to make this
- 20:54extraordinary presentation was granted, for it is most unusual
- 20:59for the system rulers to consent to the narration of one planet.
- 21:04Of the. Affairs of another this planet
- 21:07like Urantia. Was led astray by the disloyalty
- 21:10of. Its planetary prints in
- 21:13connection with the Lucifer Rebellion as I spoke.
- 21:15Before just like ours. Kalagastia.
- 21:19Kalagastia is. Mentioned in the.
- 21:21Bible is the devil. He was the one that tempted.
- 21:24Eve with ideas of. Going it alone.
- 21:29The rites they had a. Planetary Prince who defaulted.
- 21:34They also received an Adam and Eve.
- 21:36Shortly after their Adam. Came to their world.
- 21:39Adam came to our world, and this sun also defaulted, leaving the
- 21:43sphere isolated since a magisterial sun has never been
- 21:47bestowed upon its mortal. Races, so we have.
- 21:50A distinct advantage. We had the Creator, Son of the
- 21:54Universe live on our world. As part of his.
- 21:57Bestowal experience, They have not had a magisterial son visit
- 22:04them. They also have not had, as far
- 22:07as we can tell, the benefit of a Melchizedek for those who know
- 22:12your Bible. In the Sage of.
- 22:13Salem Macheventa Melchizedek was the man who singled out Abraham
- 22:19and taught him cosmology. He revealed to him the universe
- 22:24he revealed to him when he in the famous momentous discussion
- 22:29they have where he waves his hands and says your.
- 22:32Seed will be as. Plentiful as the stars.
- 22:38This planet that we're. Being told about didn't have
- 22:40that advantage either. Notwithstanding, they say, of
- 22:43all these planetary handicaps, a very superior civilization is
- 22:50evolving on an isolated continent.
- 22:53About the. Size of Australia they.
- 22:56Number about 140 million people, according to the Oranja book,
- 23:00and its people are a mixed race, predominantly blue.
- 23:04Which would be corollary. To the Nordic race.
- 23:07Of our history. Mixed in with the yellow, and if
- 23:12you remember from the Urantia book, we're taught that all
- 23:15evolutionary. Worlds will have colored.
- 23:17Races some 3, some 6. Ours had six races.
- 23:21Originally, two of them annihilated.
- 23:23Each other the blue race was very biologically uplifted by
- 23:30the. Adamites.
- 23:32Would be the blue. Then, of course we.
- 23:35Have the Asian yellow so on this world they had predominantly
- 23:38blue and yellow on this one continent of 140 million and
- 23:43they say that they fraternized and.
- 23:44Socialized very acceptably. The average length of life on
- 23:48this continent is now 90 years. That's 15% higher than than that
- 23:54of any other people on the planet.
- 23:55What is ours? Ours is 72 for men, 77 for
- 24:00women. The industrial mechanisms of
- 24:03this nation enjoys a certain great advantage derived from the
- 24:07unique. Topography of the.
- 24:09Continent, the high mountains on which heavy rains fall 8 months
- 24:13in the year are. Situated at the very.
- 24:16Center of this country. This natural arrangement favors
- 24:19the utilization of water power. And greatly facilitates the.
- 24:23Irrigation of the more arid western quarter of the
- 24:26continent. That's a very similar to what?
- 24:29We see with the Colorado River. You got this high mountain
- 24:32mountainous area in Colorado and it rains and it snows and all
- 24:38that water. Keeps places like Las.
- 24:40Vegas and Phoenix and Los Angeles afloat they say the
- 24:46continental nation in general followed the evolutionary trend
- 24:49of the planet. The development from the.
- 24:52Tribal stage to the. Appearance of strong rulers and
- 24:55kings occupied thousands of years.
- 24:59The unconditional monarchs were succeeded by many different
- 25:03orders of government. A board of republics.
- 25:06Communal States and dictators came and went in endless
- 25:10profusion. This growth continued until
- 25:14about 500 years ago, when, during a politically fermenting
- 25:18period, one of the nation's. Powerful dictator.
- 25:21Triumvirs had a change of heart. He volunteered to abdicate upon
- 25:27condition that one of the other rulers.
- 25:29The baser of the. Remaining 2 also.
- 25:32Vacate his dictatorship. Thus was the sovereignty of the
- 25:37continent placed in the hands of 1 ruler.
- 25:41The unified state progressed. Under strong monarchical rule
- 25:45for about 200 years, during which there evolved a masterful.
- 25:50Charter of liberty. To think about our own history,
- 25:54particularly in the United States 200 years ago.
- 25:57We have all these. Different people coming from.
- 25:59Various parts of Europe, you've got the Irish, you've got the
- 26:02Scottish. You've got the Germans, you've
- 26:04got mostly people that are trying to.
- 26:06Escape the the the. Church of England in their
- 26:10oppression. Targeting Quakers.
- 26:12Targeting Catholics. And they come to these new lands
- 26:17here in North America, all with different.
- 26:20Cultures all with. Different ideas of and they form
- 26:25a constitution, and that constitution leads to the
- 26:27Declaration of Independence. And these 13 states break off
- 26:32from colonial rule of the Europeans.
- 26:36And we in, in our own way, came up with our own masterful
- 26:39charter of liberty, didn't we? Not unlike this nation that
- 26:44we're being. Talked about the subsequent.
- 26:46Transition at rights from monarchy to a representative
- 26:49form of government. Was gradual.
- 26:52The King's remaining as mere social or sentimental
- 26:55figureheads, finally disappearing when the male line
- 26:59of descent ran out. The present Republic has now
- 27:03been in existence just 200 years, during which time there
- 27:08has been a continuous progression toward the
- 27:11governmental techniques about to be narrated, the latest
- 27:15development in industrial and political realms having been
- 27:19made within the past decade. Pause to consider that this
- 27:23book, written in 1934, published.
- 27:26Printed in 42. Published in. 55 S at.
- 27:29The time they were writing this was 34 and the planet that
- 27:34they're talking about they have the information up to about 1925
- 27:41based on our so I'm wondering if that's a.
- 27:44Clue because if if if it's a decade, is that because it took
- 27:48that? Long to get from that planet to
- 27:51this planet, somebody had to deliver the information, right?
- 27:56Interesting. So the book goes.
- 27:58On the paper goes on to. Talk about the political.
- 28:00Organization how the representative government has a
- 28:04centrally located national capital, there are 100
- 28:09comparatively free. States.
- 28:10We have 50. The states elect their.
- 28:13Governors and their legislators. It goes on to talk about the
- 28:17home life and let me just read a.
- 28:20Couple of passages because. This continent looks at
- 28:24matrimony and relationships very differently from our own on this
- 28:29continent. It says it is.
- 28:31Against the law for two families to live under the same roof, and
- 28:35since group dwellings have been outlawed, most of the tenement
- 28:38types of buildings have been demolished, but the unmarried
- 28:42still live in clubs, hotels and other group dwellings.
- 28:46The smallest home site permitted must provide 50. 1000 square.
- 28:50Feet of land All land and other property used for home purpose
- 28:55are free from taxation up to 10 times the minimum home site
- 29:01allotment there's. Much detail about the specifics,
- 29:07which I I really appreciate. In their telling, they say the
- 29:10average number of children in each family is 5 and they are
- 29:14under the control of their parents or in the case or the
- 29:17demise of one or both under. That of the Guardians.
- 29:20Designated by the parental courts, it is considered a great
- 29:24honor for any family to be. Awarded the guardianship of a
- 29:27full orphan. Competitive examinations are
- 29:30held among parents and and orphans, or an orphan is awarded
- 29:35to the home. Of those displaying.
- 29:37The best parental qualifications.
- 29:40But we have. That in a similar degree we have
- 29:43adoptions and adoption. People have to qualify parents,
- 29:49he says. These.
- 29:50People regard the home as the basic institution of their
- 29:53civilization. It is expected.
- 29:55That the most valuable. Part of a child.
- 29:57'S education and character training will be secured from
- 30:01his parents and at home, and fathers devote almost as much
- 30:06time and attention to child culture as do mothers.
- 30:12It talks about the moral instruction is.
- 30:14Offered by teachers. During the rest.
- 30:16Periods in school shops. Religious training is deemed to
- 30:20be the. Exclusive privilege of the.
- 30:23Parents religion being looked upon as an integral part of home
- 30:27life, purely religious instruction is given publicly
- 30:32only in the temples of philosophy, no such exclusively
- 30:36religious institutions as the Urantia churches having
- 30:40developed among this. People.
- 30:42So we have churches. They don't have churches.
- 30:45They have. Temples of philosophy.
- 30:48In their philosophy, religion is the striving to know God and to
- 30:52manifest love for one's fellows. Servants through service for.
- 30:55Them, but this is not. Typical of the other religious
- 30:58statuses of the. Other nations on this planet,
- 31:02religion is so entirely a family matter among these people that
- 31:06there are no public places. Devoted exclusively to
- 31:10religious. Assembly, this is a nice I don't
- 31:14know what what would you call this sentence?
- 31:15Let me read it to you. Tell me what you think
- 31:18politically, Church and state as Urantians are won't to say.
- 31:22Are entirely separate, but. There is a strange overlapping
- 31:26of religion and philosophy. Then this this paragraph until
- 31:3220 years. Ago the spiritual teachers.
- 31:35Comparable to Urantia pastors who visit each family
- 31:39periodically to examine the children to ascertain if they've
- 31:44been properly instructed by their parents and they're under
- 31:48government supervision. Says these spiritual advisors.
- 31:52And examiners are now under the direction of the newly created
- 31:55foundation of spiritual. Progress they also.
- 31:59Say that this institution of their pastors.
- 32:02That are state supported. Says they may not further evolve
- 32:06until. After the arrival.
- 32:07Of a paradise magisterial son final notes children remain
- 32:12legally. Subject to their parents.
- 32:14Until they're 15, when the first initiation into civic
- 32:18responsibility. Is held, therefore, every five
- 32:21years for five successive periods.
- 32:23Similar. Public exercises are held.
- 32:27For such an age. Or for such age groups at which
- 32:30their. Obligations to parents are
- 32:32lessened. Social responsibilities to the
- 32:34state are assumed. Suffrage is conferred at 20 the
- 32:38right to vote. The right to marry without
- 32:41parental. Consent is not bestowed until 25
- 32:46and children. Must leave.
- 32:47Home on reaching the age of 30 these are their social.
- 32:51Laws Marriage and divorce laws are.
- 32:53Uniform throughout the nation marriage before 20 the age of.
- 32:57Civil enfranchisement is not. Permitted permission to marry is
- 33:02only granted after one year's notice of intention and after
- 33:07both bride and groom presents certificates showing.
- 33:11That they have been fully. Instructed in the parental.
- 33:14Schools. Regarding the responsibilities
- 33:16of married life, now think about how important that is because
- 33:20these people. As we're told believe.
- 33:23That. Family in the family
- 33:24institution. Is the most important
- 33:26institution, so they take it very seriously.
- 33:30Not like in. America where we go off and
- 33:32elope in Las Vegas and have a whoop whoop weekend and you
- 33:36know, think of the divorce rate 50% they say that divorce
- 33:40regulations. On this world are LAX but.
- 33:43Decrees a separation. Are issued by the parental
- 33:45courts. It's also recorded.
- 33:47They say that the divorce rate on that planet.
- 33:52Is 110th of our races on Urantia goes on to talk about their
- 33:59educational system, which. We'll save.
- 34:01For another day, but we. Could learn a lot from these.
- 34:05People and how they have set up their educational system if we
- 34:09adopted even 1. 10th of what? This book says that they're.
- 34:12Doing on planet. X our our children would not be
- 34:16in the position there aren't today in in in in America in in
- 34:21California just recently a second largest state in the
- 34:26country by population, largest school system.
- 34:30Most money put towards children and half the kids who get out of
- 34:34school can't. Even read.
- 34:36Which just shows you how far we've.
- 34:38We've fallen, they talk. About their crime, the way
- 34:41they're industries are set up. They spend some time talking
- 34:45about. How to take care of their
- 34:47elderly? And the old age insurance.
- 34:50Programs that they have, ladies and gentlemen, they're.
- 34:53Giving. Us a way out?
- 34:57They're showing us by example. That we could do better.
- 35:01They talk about taxation because if you know.
- 35:04That in in in the previous section when it talks about the
- 35:08evolution of government, there are dangers of over taxation of
- 35:12big. Government and they spell.
- 35:14It out in this book they show us how another advanced
- 35:17civilization is dealing with the same problems that we deal with.
- 35:22They talk. About how they deal with crime.
- 35:24And they say that these people are passing out of the.
- 35:27Negative into the. Positive era of law.
- 35:30Recently they have gone so. Far as to attempt the.
- 35:33Prevention of crime by. Sentencing those who are
- 35:36believed to be. Potential murderers and major.
- 35:39Criminals to life service in the.
- 35:41Detention colonies. But they say if such convicts
- 35:45subsequently demonstrate that they have become more.
- 35:48Normal. They may either be paroled or
- 35:50pardoned. The homicide rate on this
- 35:52continent is only 1% of that of the other creations.
- 35:58So. In reflecting now upon the other
- 36:00nations of this world that we've been introduced to, they they
- 36:05write. Although the society and
- 36:07government of this. Unique people are in many
- 36:10respects superior to those. Of the Iranian nations.
- 36:13It should be stated. That on the other continents.
- 36:16And there are 11 on this planet. The governments are decidedly
- 36:20inferior to the more advanced. Nations.
- 36:23Of Urantia. And then finally it says here in
- 36:26this paragraph, this recital of the.
- 36:28Affairs of a neighboring planet is made by.
- 36:30Special permission with the intent of advancing civilization
- 36:35and augmenting governmental evolution on Urantia.
- 36:39Much more could be narrated that would no doubt interest and
- 36:42intrigue Urantians. But this disclosure?
- 36:46Covers the limits of. Our permissive mandate.
- 36:49So what do you think of that? Is it?
- 36:50Is it? Deeply profound, that.
- 36:52You. Have just been told that there's
- 36:55life. Out in the universe.
- 36:57And that there's even life on a world not that far advanced than
- 37:01our own, going through the same trials and tribulations, but
- 37:06without the benefit of. Having been visited.
- 37:08And blessed by the Creator's Son.
- 37:12And think if. We could apply much of these
- 37:14lessons to our own predicaments. There's no room for error here
- 37:20in trying to extrapolate what their intent is.
- 37:22It says right here in paper 7212 this.
- 37:27Recital of the affairs of a neighboring planet.
- 37:29Is made by special permission with the intent of advancing
- 37:33civilization and augmenting governmental evolution on
- 37:37Urantia, we still have to solve our.
- 37:40Problems they're not giving us. Advanced technology.
- 37:44They're not giving us advanced formulas and how to solve our
- 37:47energy problem, but they are giving us.
- 37:50The information. That we are going through
- 37:53because. They this other world is so much
- 37:55like our own. Paper 72 again another.
- 38:02Wonderful. Example of of this.
- 38:05Wonderful revelation that we have.
- 38:06Before us. And I'm and I'm grateful that
- 38:10you've. Taken the time and it's been
- 38:12almost 45 minutes. So with that, thank you.
- 38:15I look. Forward to our.
- 38:16Next. Get together and we have.
- 38:18So much more to talk about. If you have a question or a
- 38:20comment, it's easy to contact. Me just write an.
- 38:23E-mail yourrancherbookradio@gmail.com
- 38:27Until next time, Blessings to you.
- 38:29Stay strong and stay faithful. See you next time.
