- 0:02Speaker 1: Good afternoon everybody, and welcome to the live edition on
- 0:06Speaker 1: this Monday of foul Territory. That is Aj Prisinski. Below
- 0:10Speaker 1: me is Eric Kratz. I am Alana Rizzo sitting in
- 0:13Speaker 1: for Scott bron Good to be with you guys today.

- 0:22Speaker 1: boys today, on this January nineteenth, Martin Luther King Junior Day.
- 0:26Speaker 1: Of course, we're all here to celebrate life the legacy
- 0:29Speaker 1: of the great Martin Luther King Junior. The time is
- 0:31Speaker 1: always right to do what is right. The Washington Nationals
- 0:34Speaker 1: of course, tweeting earlier Kansas City Royals. Today we remember
- 0:38Speaker 1: and honor the life and legacy of doctor Martin Luther
- 0:42Speaker 1: King Junior. How are you boys doing today? AJ? What's up?
- 0:46Speaker 2: I'm freezing?
- 0:47Speaker 3: First of all, it's like fifty six degrees in Florida
- 0:50Speaker 3: and it's freezing. So that's why I have a long
- 0:52Speaker 3: safe shirt on. Happy Martin Luther King Junior Day to everybody.
- 0:57Speaker 3: What he said is right. It's always a great day
- 0:58Speaker 3: to do what's right. So's he's right. But yeah, I
- 1:01Speaker 3: wish it was a little bit warmer. But hey, good weekend,
- 1:05Speaker 3: had some things happen in baseball, and now we get
- 1:07Speaker 3: to talk about it for a.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Couple of Yeah, something's happening in baseball. Something's happening in
- 1:11Speaker 1: football too, Eric Kratz, you and I know a little
- 1:14Speaker 1: bit about being cold. We're in the Northeast and it
- 1:17Speaker 1: is what five six seven inches of snow here, So
- 1:19Speaker 1: I don't think AJ has anything to complain about.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Eric. I love snow. Sorry. Sorry, if somebody complains about snow,
- 1:25Speaker 2: it's totally fine. Give it all to me. I hope
- 1:28Speaker 2: we have the biggest storm, the most snow all this winter.
- 1:31Speaker 2: I love running my snowblower. I feel it makes me
- 1:34Speaker 2: feel like a man when I get to be out
- 1:36Speaker 2: there just launching snow, shoveling snow, pushing people down the sled,
- 1:41Speaker 2: you know, throwing a snowball, hitting somebody. I love that stuff.
- 1:45Speaker 1: There you go, Well, you might get your wish because
- 1:47Speaker 1: it's supposed to be super bitter cold all week and
- 1:49Speaker 1: we might get a Nor'easter coming up. All right, guys,
- 1:52Speaker 1: let's get to some baseball news. Is good to be
- 1:53Speaker 1: with you for the next couple of hours here on
- 1:55Speaker 1: foul territory. Time to charge the mound. Let's talk a
- 2:03Speaker 1: little bit of Cody Bellinger, shall we, boys, because this
- 2:06Speaker 1: is something that's been going on for quite some time. Obviously,
- 2:08Speaker 1: in this offseason, the big domino of Kyle Tucker has fallen,
- 2:12Speaker 1: but the Yankees apparently have been willing to include opt
- 2:15Speaker 1: outs AJ after year two and year three of a
- 2:19Speaker 1: five year, one hundred and sixty million dollars reported offer
- 2:22Speaker 1: to Cody bellingder a league source telling the Athletic, what
- 2:26Speaker 1: do you think is the hold up between the Yankees
- 2:30Speaker 1: and Belly or just Belly signing anywhere?
- 2:33Speaker 3: Well, I think he's looking still looking for the longer
- 2:35Speaker 3: term deal, kind of like what we thought Kyle Tucker
- 2:38Speaker 3: would get, kind of like what we thought Obashell would get. Instead,
- 2:41Speaker 3: they got shorter terms, higher AAV. He's looking for the
- 2:45Speaker 3: longer term deal with the high AAV and right now
- 2:47Speaker 3: it doesn't seem like any team is willing to go there.
- 2:49Speaker 3: The Yankees. I feel like the Yankees need him more
- 2:51Speaker 3: than any other team for his versatility, for his athleticism,
- 2:54Speaker 3: for being left handed to hit in the middle of
- 2:57Speaker 3: that order wherever they hit him at, and I don't
- 3:00Speaker 3: know what's taking so long, but maybe there's another offer
- 3:03Speaker 3: out there that we don't know about. But if this
- 3:05Speaker 3: is his best offer, I give the Yankees credit for this.
- 3:07Speaker 3: They're not getting in a bidding war with themselves. They're like, hey, Cody, listen,
- 3:10Speaker 3: if you have a real other offer that's better, we
- 3:13Speaker 3: gave you our best offer. If it's not good enough,
- 3:15Speaker 3: then we're going to have to say sign rs. So
- 3:17Speaker 3: I do give the Yankees credit for that that they're
- 3:19Speaker 3: not bidding against themselves in allowing the price to get
- 3:22Speaker 3: driven up if they're the only ones bidding.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Yeah, I was supposedly reported that Cody Belinger was looking
- 3:27Speaker 1: for upwards of two hundred million, two hundred and fifty million,
- 3:30Speaker 1: something like that. Yankees have made an internal decision, guys,
- 3:33Speaker 1: as AJ was just talking about not to engage in
- 3:35Speaker 1: a bidding war for Bellinger. If the Mets or anyone
- 3:37Speaker 1: else swoops in with the blowaway off er, Yankees believe
- 3:40Speaker 1: they've made a fair proposal five years, one hundred and
- 3:43Speaker 1: sixty million, two opt outs. They are prepared to let
- 3:46Speaker 1: Bellinger walk Eric if he walks and decides not to
- 3:50Speaker 1: return to the Bronx, what's the next step for him.
- 3:53Speaker 1: What's the likely suitor for him?
- 3:56Speaker 2: I mean, I think I think you mentioned I think
- 3:58Speaker 2: the Mets. I think if teams are looking to say, hey,
- 4:01Speaker 2: we'll go another short term type of deal, you know,
- 4:05Speaker 2: do the Really it really comes down to a few teams.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Are the Reds willing to hop in there? Are they?
- 4:13Speaker 2: You know, we know that they were willing to spend
- 4:14Speaker 2: some money. Are they going to go higher than one sixty?
- 4:17Speaker 2: They wouldn't go higher than they wouldn't go higher in
- 4:20Speaker 2: one fifty with Schwarber. But this is a much more versatile,
- 4:23Speaker 2: younger player. So are they willing to go higher that?
- 4:29Speaker 2: That's why it's hard for me to say that a
- 4:32Speaker 2: guy like Cody Belander doesn't have a lot of suitors,
- 4:34Speaker 2: but we just haven't heard it. Are the Blue Jays
- 4:38Speaker 2: willing to pivot because they're going to lose their center
- 4:40Speaker 2: fielder next year with Dalton varshow going you know, going
- 4:44Speaker 2: to free agency? Then they'd be able to shift And
- 4:47Speaker 2: they're losing George Springer after this year too, like you'd
- 4:50Speaker 2: be able to have Cody as your backup. They went
- 4:52Speaker 2: after Tucker. How do they see him? They saw him
- 4:54Speaker 2: a lot in the East already. I don't know. I
- 4:57Speaker 2: just I commend the yank for maybe adding some pieces
- 5:01Speaker 2: to a contract that they didn't want to do. I
- 5:04Speaker 2: think the opt outs to me, and maybe I'm wrong,
- 5:07Speaker 2: but it just seems like Cody's been on that opt
- 5:10Speaker 2: out train for like the last three seasons, and it
- 5:14Speaker 2: sounds like he's just like, no, I want to spend
- 5:18Speaker 2: seven years somewhere, six years somewhere, and maybe the five
- 5:22Speaker 2: years isn't quite enough. And good for the Yankees for
- 5:25Speaker 2: standing still. But I'm more concerned if they don't get him,
- 5:29Speaker 2: where do they go? That's that's where I'm concerned for
- 5:32Speaker 2: the Yankees. Less like I think Cody's going to have
- 5:35Speaker 2: a job. Cody's going to have a really nice job
- 5:37Speaker 2: with a lot of a lot of Moneys behind his name.
- 5:40Speaker 2: But where do the Yankees go if they don't get him?
- 5:44Speaker 1: That's a good question. AJ Where do you think they
- 5:46Speaker 1: do go? Where do they pivot? If the Yankees don't
- 5:48Speaker 1: Cody Bellinger? Obviously, you know Kyle Tucker is off the market.
- 5:52Speaker 1: There's not a lot of really great outfielders left obviously
- 5:55Speaker 1: be a free agency, and I don't know what type
- 5:58Speaker 1: of trade that would look like either, well.
- 6:00Speaker 3: They count on Jason Domingos, they count maybe on Spencer
- 6:03Speaker 3: Jones to step up. But I don't know what they do.
- 6:07Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying is the Yankees need Bellinger maybe
- 6:09Speaker 3: more than any other team. That's why it's so interesting
- 6:12Speaker 3: they haven't got this done. I don't know where they Honestly,
- 6:15Speaker 3: I don't know where they go because most of the
- 6:17Speaker 3: definitely the biggest name free agents are gone. I'm gonna
- 6:19Speaker 3: look at some other free agents right now, but I
- 6:21Speaker 3: don't know where they what their move is that they
- 6:25Speaker 3: could go to have the impact that Cody Bellinger would
- 6:29Speaker 3: have on this team at the moment, and geez it's
- 6:33Speaker 3: it's it's a it's a pretty short list of especially
- 6:37Speaker 3: left handed hitters. Michael CONFORDO. They're not going to go
- 6:39Speaker 3: after you know, I mean Jesse Winker. Where do they go?
- 6:45Speaker 3: There isn't unless they make a trade that we don't
- 6:47Speaker 3: know about. There's not really that guy out there that
- 6:49Speaker 3: makes an impact the way that Cody Bellinger will do.
- 6:53Speaker 4: Nobody likes a bloated cell phone bill. It can consume you,
- 6:57Speaker 4: it can take over, it can be very annoy So
- 7:01Speaker 4: I know that twenty twenty five ended crafts and that's
- 7:03Speaker 4: when you have your end of your sales, but there
- 7:05Speaker 4: actually is still one sale that is running until the
- 7:07Speaker 4: end of the month.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Midmobile they still have their fifty percent off their unlimited
- 7:12Speaker 2: premium wireless offer that you got to go and get

- 7:17Speaker 2: to be around all the time.
- 7:19Speaker 4: And all plans come with high speed data and unlimited
- 7:22Speaker 4: talk and text delivered on the nation's largest five G network.
- 7:26Speaker 4: Quit overspending on wireless with fifty percent off Unlimited Premium

- 7:38Speaker 4: three months, ninety dollars for six months, or one hundred

- 7:46Speaker 4: fifty gigabytes may slow a network is busy. Capable device required, availability,

- 7:54Speaker 1: When you guys look at the contracts and you talk
- 7:55Speaker 1: about the opt outs, and you were talking about how
- 7:57Speaker 1: the Yankees were willing to kind of change their own
- 7:59Speaker 1: contract give an opt out after year two, year three?
- 8:02Speaker 1: Does that mean that the players just not committed to
- 8:04Speaker 1: the team. What do you make of opt outs? I mean,
- 8:06Speaker 1: is this just something that is like, he wants to
- 8:08Speaker 1: play someplace for seven years. Who's to say that he's
- 8:10Speaker 1: going to get two years from now another contract that
- 8:14Speaker 1: keeps him someplace for five years?
- 8:18Speaker 2: I mean yeah, I mean we're speculating he wants to
- 8:20Speaker 2: play somewhere for seven years. I think he wants a
- 8:22Speaker 2: seven year contract. But the opt outs are cool, the
- 8:26Speaker 2: opt outs are not. I don't know, I never I've
- 8:30Speaker 2: never looked at opt outs like, man, this guy's not
- 8:33Speaker 2: committed at all. There's no you know, he just wants
- 8:36Speaker 2: to get the most money. Yeah. I mean, yes, players
- 8:38Speaker 2: want to get the most money when they're in free agency.
- 8:41Speaker 2: But to me, I think it helps them if he
- 8:45Speaker 2: wants seven the Yankees say five, he says, okay, Well,
- 8:49Speaker 2: what happens if Yo I go off and have another
- 8:53Speaker 2: MVP season. Is that possible? Hey, it was a five
- 8:57Speaker 2: war player last year, like he could he could do
- 9:00Speaker 2: something like that. Is it likely? No? Because he plays
- 9:02Speaker 2: on Aaron Judge's team, and Aaron Judge will always be
- 9:04Speaker 2: the MVP. But if you have if you have a
- 9:09Speaker 2: season where he can opt out, yeah, it gives him
- 9:11Speaker 2: that possibility of flexibility. Like he didn't do it with
- 9:14Speaker 2: the Cubs. He opted in to his last two years
- 9:18Speaker 2: at twenty million a year or whatever was. I think
- 9:21Speaker 2: he signed three years sixty million and he opted in
- 9:25Speaker 2: because he didn't have a good season. So I think
- 9:28Speaker 2: it's just something added. I just don't know if that
- 9:31Speaker 2: moves the needle for Cody because in two years he'll
- 9:34Speaker 2: be thirty two, you'll actually be starting the season. He'll
- 9:38Speaker 2: be starting the season at thirty two, No, at thirty
- 9:40Speaker 2: three at that point at the next season, So it's like,
- 9:45Speaker 2: is that what you Is that what he wants?
- 9:46Speaker 1: I have no idea, Aja, do you get the sense
- 9:49Speaker 1: that it doesn't seem like they had a plan, be
- 9:52Speaker 1: a backed up plan, like it was going to be
- 9:54Speaker 1: belly or nothing, because I like we just talked about it.
- 9:56Speaker 1: I'm not sure where you go from here. It doesn't
- 9:59Speaker 1: seem like there's any body else that could be an
- 10:02Speaker 1: outfielder for them that's going to pack the same type
- 10:04Speaker 1: of punch that Cody Bellinger did. I mean, did they
- 10:06Speaker 1: assume he was going to come back.
- 10:08Speaker 3: I think it was like Alex Bregman and the Red Sox.
- 10:10Speaker 3: I mean, the Red Sox pivoted and got some other
- 10:13Speaker 3: stuff done. But I think Yankee fans have just always
- 10:15Speaker 3: assumed Cody Bellinger is going to be back, and the
- 10:18Speaker 3: fact that it hasn't happened yet is kind of amazing
- 10:21Speaker 3: to me. It might happen today, it might happen tomorrow,
- 10:23Speaker 3: it might not happen at all. But yes, did they
- 10:25Speaker 3: have a backup plan? I'm sure Brian Cashman and the
- 10:26Speaker 3: Yankees have some sort of backup plan, but I don't
- 10:30Speaker 3: know what it is, unless they have a trade cook
- 10:32Speaker 3: in somewhere to make find an impact bat that can
- 10:34Speaker 3: hit left hand. And I don't know who that candidate
- 10:36Speaker 3: would be, but maybe they have something in the works
- 10:38Speaker 3: or something like that. But I like the opt outs
- 10:41Speaker 3: for me, if I was a player, I'd want the
- 10:43Speaker 3: opt outs because I control I have some power. Like listen,
- 10:46Speaker 3: I know I have one hundred and fifty million in
- 10:47Speaker 3: the bank. If I have bad two years, that money's
- 10:50Speaker 3: still there. But if I have two great years, I
- 10:52Speaker 3: can take another free agent opt out, and I can
- 10:54Speaker 3: go into the free agent market and say, guys, I'm
- 10:56Speaker 3: still only a thirty one thirty two, give me three
- 10:59Speaker 3: years again in a high I aavy, you know, because
- 11:01Speaker 3: the opt outs give or the one way that they
- 11:03Speaker 3: give power power actually to the player, because like with
- 11:07Speaker 3: the mutual options, the team hardly ever picks us up
- 11:11Speaker 3: or the player never picks us up, or a club
- 11:13Speaker 3: option or a player option or whatever it is. Clubs
- 11:16Speaker 3: don't like give them player options. They like club options
- 11:19Speaker 3: where they have all the power. So an opt out
- 11:21Speaker 3: is one of the few ways where players actually have
- 11:23Speaker 3: power and can control where they are.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Yeah, certainly motivates the player when they have that opt out.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Let me ask you this. Eric will start with you.
- 11:30Speaker 1: If the Blue Jays wanted Kyle Tucker, and obviously they
- 11:33Speaker 1: didn't get him, why wouldn't they want Belly?
- 11:39Speaker 2: I think Belly's you know, is he going to play
- 11:43Speaker 2: outfield for the entirety of a seven year contract. Kyle
- 11:47Speaker 2: Tucker is two and a half years younger than Cody.
- 11:53Speaker 2: He's gonna play outfield for the majority of that contract
- 11:57Speaker 2: in a younger age. I guess you know. They have
- 12:00Speaker 2: first base locked up, so is Cody. Is Cody gonna
- 12:04Speaker 2: be able to play if they give him seven Would
- 12:06Speaker 2: he be able to play center field for seven years
- 12:09Speaker 2: after Varshall leaves after this year. I don't know. Maybe
- 12:12Speaker 2: they don't see his bat being as impactful as as Tucker's.
- 12:18Speaker 2: You know, I think Tucker's bat is more impactful. But
- 12:22Speaker 2: I think Cody Bellinger fits into what the Blue Jays do.
- 12:26Speaker 2: I think he's he has the ability to cut down
- 12:28Speaker 2: his strikeouts. You've seen it in different seasons where he's
- 12:31Speaker 2: made a concerted effort to say, Okay, I'm not striking out.
- 12:34Speaker 2: His defense is still elite when you're moving them around centerfield,
- 12:38Speaker 2: left field. Sure, he can play right field if that's
- 12:41Speaker 2: what they're looking for. He can play first base like
- 12:43Speaker 2: he has that, but Lady's playing first base. So maybe
- 12:46Speaker 2: they don't see the entirety of the package as valuable
- 12:50Speaker 2: as what they offered Tucker. But right now, if it's
- 12:55Speaker 2: at one sixty with the Yankees, it's half. I mean,
- 12:58Speaker 2: one seventy five would be half of what they offered
- 13:01Speaker 2: for Tucker, and it wouldn't be as many years. So
- 13:05Speaker 2: I don't see why. But I mean, those were some
- 13:07Speaker 2: of the examples of why maybe they're they wouldn't be
- 13:09Speaker 2: in on them.
- 13:11Speaker 1: Yeah, A, do you think that Tucker or excuse me,
- 13:13Speaker 1: that Belly would be a good fit in Toronto?
- 13:18Speaker 3: He would, he would because he's left handed, he can
- 13:21Speaker 3: play multiple positions for you. Why they're not after him,
- 13:25Speaker 3: I don't know. Maybe the front officer Atkins and Shapiro
- 13:29Speaker 3: just said, you know what, we liked Tucker and we
- 13:34Speaker 3: don't like Bellinger. I mean, who knows. We don't know
- 13:36Speaker 3: what these teams models, they have, what they are. I mean,
- 13:38Speaker 3: maybe Cody Bellinger made someone mad along the way or
- 13:41Speaker 3: I don't know, you know, I mean, I'm not saying
- 13:43Speaker 3: that happened. I don't know why they Why wouldn't they
- 13:44Speaker 3: be I think they should be, but maybe they're not.
- 13:47Speaker 3: Maybe there's a reason. Maybe they see something in his
- 13:49Speaker 3: game playing against them all these times in the Alas
- 13:52Speaker 3: the last couple of years. I don't know, but it
- 13:54Speaker 3: would make sense. But it's also like when the Reds
- 13:56Speaker 3: didn't sign Colle Arber. They didn't take that three hundred
- 13:58Speaker 3: million to try to sign someone else. They just said,
- 14:01Speaker 3: oh well, that money went away miraculously, but it was
- 14:03Speaker 3: there for one player. Baby was only there for Tucker
- 14:06Speaker 3: and not for Bellinger. I don't know what owners the
- 14:08Speaker 3: front officers think. I don't know why they wouldn't be,
- 14:10Speaker 3: but it seems like they're not.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Yeah, that's insane too. You think same thing with the
- 14:14Speaker 1: Red Socks. You don't sign Alex Fragman. It's not like
- 14:16Speaker 1: they turned right around. And I mean, first of all,
- 14:18Speaker 1: they get rid of Devers to supposedly extend Fragman. Then
- 14:21Speaker 1: they don't extend Bragman, and they don't turn around and
- 14:23Speaker 1: sign like a massive player too. Springer and var show
- 14:26Speaker 1: guys free agents after this season. Cody Bellinger not going
- 14:30Speaker 1: to be involved in a bidding war apparently with the
- 14:32Speaker 1: New York Yankee. Sol'll see what happens with that. Show
- 14:38Speaker 1: me the money never gets old seeing that, all right?
- 14:52Speaker 1: We talked about it, guys, with Jim Bowden about Elie
- 14:54Speaker 1: de la Cruz's offer. It would have been the biggest
- 14:56Speaker 1: extension in Red's history. It would have surpassed Eclipse Joey
- 15:00Speaker 1: Ato's contract. Obviously, Joey Votto. When you think of the
- 15:03Speaker 1: reds you think of him, what do you make of it?
- 15:06Speaker 1: I mean, obviously with the player, you want him to
- 15:08Speaker 1: be able to get the most money possible. Your thoughts,
- 15:13Speaker 1: I mean, are you surprised d aj that he didn't take it?
- 15:16Speaker 3: No, that was Scott Borris. I just told you the
- 15:18Speaker 3: stat Scott Borris has never had a position player offered
- 15:21Speaker 3: over one hundred million dollars extension before he got to
- 15:24Speaker 3: free agency and take it. And he's also never gotten
- 15:27Speaker 3: the less money. So I don't know how he could
- 15:30Speaker 3: go to Elie Dela Cruz and say take this, even
- 15:32Speaker 3: if it was for ten years, two hundred and fifty million. Listen,
- 15:36Speaker 3: I know Elie, that's life changing money for everybody, right,
- 15:39Speaker 3: But if Scott bors is telling him, look, Elie, we
- 15:41Speaker 3: can get you four or five hundred million, like Jim
- 15:43Speaker 3: Boden just said, I'm not surprised he didn't take it.
- 15:45Speaker 3: Players are getting smarter, agents are getting smarter with the
- 15:49Speaker 3: way the system works, and I just think that there's
- 15:51Speaker 3: an opportunity for him five years from now, four years
- 15:54Speaker 3: from now, whatever it is that he becomes to get
- 15:57Speaker 3: close to that free agent line, he can get so
- 15:59Speaker 3: much more money. And like I said, I love this
- 16:02Speaker 3: move by the Reds though they're like, hey, we offered
- 16:03Speaker 3: it to him. If he didn't take it. That's on him.
- 16:06Speaker 3: So now all the fans are like, oh, you should
- 16:08Speaker 3: have taken the money, right, So I love the move
- 16:10Speaker 3: by the Reds. I understand the move from Ellie de
- 16:12Speaker 3: la Cruz and Scott Boris. We'll see how it works out. Eric.
- 16:17Speaker 1: I remember one time he has money. Grandall told in
- 16:19Speaker 1: a conversation in the clubhouse one time that take as
- 16:22Speaker 1: much money as you can, for as long as you can.
- 16:24Speaker 1: So I certainly don't fall to the player for wanting
- 16:27Speaker 1: to get the bag as big as he can get it.
- 16:28Speaker 1: But what happens if Ellie de la Cruz gets hurt? Right, Like,
- 16:31Speaker 1: what happens if something happens to him? I mean, I
- 16:34Speaker 1: understand he's not a free agent until after the twenty
- 16:36Speaker 1: twenty nine season. It is a lot of what ifs.
- 16:39Speaker 1: But two hundred and fifty million is a lot of money.
- 16:41Speaker 1: What do you make of it?
- 16:43Speaker 2: It is a lot of money. It's a lot of
- 16:44Speaker 2: money for you and I. But ELL's Ellie's a one
- 16:48Speaker 2: percenter like he's He obviously has a team backing him.
- 16:52Speaker 2: And this is why you need an agent. This is
- 16:54Speaker 2: why you need an agent to say things that give
- 16:57Speaker 2: you, you know, less of a mac row view and more
- 17:01Speaker 2: of a Hey, this is how it's worked out for
- 17:04Speaker 2: different guys, this is the skill set, this is where
- 17:06Speaker 2: they were their first two and a half seasons in
- 17:09Speaker 2: the big leagues. I think it's a gamble. Obviously it's
- 17:14Speaker 2: a gamble. But what I usually tell people now is
- 17:17Speaker 2: position players, tell me what that injury is. Show me
- 17:22Speaker 2: an example of somebody having an injury that says that
- 17:29Speaker 2: was a career ending injury. Nowadays, I feel like in
- 17:33Speaker 2: the last ten or fifteen years, pitchers, pitchers, you hear
- 17:37Speaker 2: the shoulder and you're like, I just didn't quite come back.
- 17:42Speaker 2: Command didn't come back, velocity didn't come back, whatever it was.
- 17:44Speaker 2: Tommy John. Obviously, you know some guys are getting Tommy
- 17:47Speaker 2: John and people are like, great, he's gonna be better
- 17:49Speaker 2: when he gets back. We've got six years till the
- 17:51Speaker 2: next one. They've really kind of narrowed that down. But
- 17:55Speaker 2: for position players, to me, the only way there's an
- 17:59Speaker 2: injury would affect Ellie is kind of the same reason
- 18:03Speaker 2: that I'm like, maybe he could have taken this contract
- 18:07Speaker 2: because of the fact that right now a lot of
- 18:09Speaker 2: his value is propped up by his sixty seven stolen bases,
- 18:14Speaker 2: and I think he's going to get better at stealing bases,
- 18:16Speaker 2: so I think that value' is there that doesn't age well.
- 18:20Speaker 2: If your value is propped up based on stolen bases,
- 18:24Speaker 2: then what are you going to what is going to
- 18:27Speaker 2: be your value later in free agency because we see
- 18:31Speaker 2: guys like Carl Crawford lost his stolen bases, Jacobe Elsberry
- 18:36Speaker 2: wasn't stealing as many bass. Trey Turner has aged very
- 18:39Speaker 2: well with stolen bases, But you have to have some
- 18:42Speaker 2: type of value there, and I think another year of
- 18:45Speaker 2: maturing with his hitting, another year his powers there, But
- 18:49Speaker 2: is he going to be a thirty home run guy
- 18:50Speaker 2: or a twenty five home run guy? And that's when
- 18:53Speaker 2: you say, okay, you know, see what this guy's getting,
- 18:56Speaker 2: See what Vladdie's getting. Well, he's not as good as Laddy.
- 18:58Speaker 2: He doesn't have the hit tools what as much as
- 19:00Speaker 2: Vladdie does. So I think comparing him is really tough,
- 19:05Speaker 2: especially if you think those stolen bases are going to
- 19:07Speaker 2: go away or be diminished like it was this year
- 19:11Speaker 2: when he had a quadpool.
- 19:14Speaker 1: You look at some of the other offers given to
- 19:16Speaker 1: guys kind of in the similar markets that Elie de
- 19:18Speaker 1: la Cruz is aja you thinking about Bobby Wood Junior
- 19:21Speaker 1: signed an eleven year, twenty two hundred and eighty eight
- 19:23Speaker 1: point eight million dollars attension, Corbyn Carroll eight year, one
- 19:26Speaker 1: hundred million dollar attension, Volu Rondrigaz twelve years, basically two
- 19:30Speaker 1: hundred and ten million that can potentially escalate to four
- 19:34Speaker 1: hundred and seventy million over a seventeen year span. I
- 19:37Speaker 1: mean he's got to be paying obviously, with Scott Boris
- 19:39Speaker 1: as his agent or any agent that's doing, you know,
- 19:42Speaker 1: is the worth their salt, He's got to be paying
- 19:44Speaker 1: attention to this type of stuff and being a genuine
- 19:47Speaker 1: five tool player, he's I would imagine thinking this guy's
- 19:51Speaker 1: the limit for me. I don't have to sign this
- 19:53Speaker 1: right now.
- 19:54Speaker 3: No, but I also I'll throw this out there, when
- 19:56Speaker 3: was acunya all these right, these guys, you know, Corbyn Carroll,
- 20:02Speaker 3: I'll even use Bobby Witt, I'll use you know, Julio's
- 20:05Speaker 3: can be gigantic obviously, but there was no Wan Soto signing.
- 20:08Speaker 3: Aaron Judge hadn't really hadn't signed when some of those
- 20:12Speaker 3: guys signed, right, Flatt hadn't signed it. These contracts are
- 20:15Speaker 3: now on the book. Okay, so now there you know,
- 20:18Speaker 3: Mike Trout had the huge one, but everyone's like, well,
- 20:20Speaker 3: Mike Chrout's on a different level. He's the best player
- 20:22Speaker 3: in baseball. So now all these other signings have happened,
- 20:26Speaker 3: and so these guys are all offered extensions and they
- 20:28Speaker 3: all said no. So now they look at it and say, well,
- 20:30Speaker 3: heck if I just have you know, my normal years.
- 20:32Speaker 3: Even we can use Boba Schet, we can use Kyle
- 20:35Speaker 3: Tucker for the money they just got. And they're like, well,
- 20:38Speaker 3: I can sign it. I can get the free agency,
- 20:40Speaker 3: sign a deal with opt out and make a bunch
- 20:42Speaker 3: of money in one year Alex Bragmant, and then go
- 20:44Speaker 3: the next year and make more money with no draft
- 20:46Speaker 3: pick compensation. I think the market has changed because of
- 20:50Speaker 3: the way that the system has been played. Now who
- 20:52Speaker 3: knows what the system is going to be after the CBA.
- 20:54Speaker 3: And if Jim Boden gets his wish, we're gonna have
- 20:56Speaker 3: a salary cap on a floor, because you know, he
- 20:58Speaker 3: says it every time he comes on our show, which
- 21:00Speaker 3: makes me laugh that that's what he wants so badly.
- 21:02Speaker 3: But the way they play the system now is wait,
- 21:08Speaker 3: don't take these extensions. That's why the Roman Anthony won.
- 21:11Speaker 3: When he signed it last year, people were like, whoa,
- 21:13Speaker 3: maybe he should have waited, but he didn't. He got
- 21:15Speaker 3: his money and when it's done, he'll be richer than
- 21:18Speaker 3: all of us. So good job.
- 21:20Speaker 1: All right, let's talk about Jacob junas free agent right
- 21:22Speaker 1: hander in agreement with the Rangers guys on a one year,
- 21:26Speaker 1: four million dollar contract. Just a little bit about in
- 21:28Speaker 1: the Cleveland Guardians last season, put up a two nine
- 21:31Speaker 1: to seven ERA, fifty seven appearances, striking out fifty five batters.
- 21:34Speaker 1: He only gave up eighteen walks in sixty six and
- 21:37Speaker 1: two thirds innings in his first season working exclusively out
- 21:41Speaker 1: of the bullpen. So good move for the Rangers. Eric,
- 21:44Speaker 1: And do you think the Rangers have done enough this
- 21:47Speaker 1: off season?
- 21:50Speaker 2: If they've done enough, I don't know. I mean, I
- 21:52Speaker 2: think they think their team is internal. I think they
- 21:57Speaker 2: expect a lot of the internal upgrades, people staying healthy. Yes,
- 22:03Speaker 2: they got Nimo. I think that's an offensive improvement over
- 22:06Speaker 2: what the issue was or over the fact that they
- 22:10Speaker 2: had Simeon. But to me, I think this is the move.
- 22:15Speaker 2: This is like knowing Chris Young. Knowing how Chris Young's
- 22:18Speaker 2: career was, I think he understands and realizes it's freaking
- 22:23Speaker 2: tough to hit dingers in globe life. So if you
- 22:27Speaker 2: can spend four million dollars on a guy who is
- 22:30Speaker 2: going to give you more value than he's going to
- 22:33Speaker 2: give another team somewhere else, to me, this is where
- 22:37Speaker 2: the Rangers start climbing back up to that World Series potential.
- 22:43Speaker 2: I'm not saying at all is Jacob Juna's going to
- 22:44Speaker 2: be the guy who's going to go out and anchor
- 22:47Speaker 2: this bullpen, make a few spots starts, all the things
- 22:50Speaker 2: he's done in his career, all with below average velocity
- 22:55Speaker 2: pitching wise, and just great better command. No, I'm not
- 22:59Speaker 2: saying that. I'm saying that Chris Young understands what his
- 23:03Speaker 2: ballpark House Ballpark plays offensively, and he knows that his
- 23:08Speaker 2: offense is pretty much what he's got in that lineup.
- 23:11Speaker 2: The young guys that came up the I forget what
- 23:14Speaker 2: they call the little rascals, you know, this show that
- 23:17Speaker 2: they could help. So they have depth in that department.
- 23:21Speaker 2: They have Josh Smith, the hill. Young is gonna be
- 23:23Speaker 2: a guy who's gonna really take the next step that
- 23:27Speaker 2: everybody thinks he's going to a third base, but they
- 23:31Speaker 2: have to say where can we find value? And I
- 23:34Speaker 2: think the ballpark. That's why I kind of had an
- 23:36Speaker 2: issue with the Royals moving their fences in. If your
- 23:39Speaker 2: ballpark plays a certain way, get value out of that.
- 23:43Speaker 2: So a guy like Jacob Junis going to the Rangers,
- 23:46Speaker 2: Good for him for securing four million dollar guarantee, and
- 23:50Speaker 2: good for the Rangers for finding a guy who's not
- 23:53Speaker 2: gonna blow people away, but is going to be able
- 23:56Speaker 2: to have success in a ballpark where guys who throw
- 23:59Speaker 2: strikes have a lot of success.
- 24:02Speaker 1: He Jay, it seems like there's been a lot of
- 24:04Speaker 1: turnover in the Rangers bullpen over the course of the
- 24:07Speaker 1: last two years. I mean, Alex dia Is, Tyler alex
- 24:10Speaker 1: You know Tyler Alexander's at Kent, Chris Martin, what do
- 24:14Speaker 1: you make of that? Is this a good move to
- 24:16Speaker 1: just kind of go along with what Eric was saying
- 24:18Speaker 1: with Jacob Junis and the Rangers. And I'll ask you
- 24:21Speaker 1: the same question. Have the Rangers done enough.
- 24:25Speaker 3: Ton enough for what can they compete with the Mariners
- 24:27Speaker 3: and the Astros right now? I don't know about that.
- 24:31Speaker 3: I mean you need a lot out of the ground
- 24:33Speaker 3: wars of all the act Who's going to be the
- 24:35Speaker 3: other starters in this who's going to be in their bullpen?
- 24:38Speaker 3: Like you said, there's been so much turnover. Where do
- 24:40Speaker 3: they find the offense because their offense has been non existent?
- 24:43Speaker 3: Who's their catcher? Because right now it's a gash Joka
- 24:45Speaker 3: right and Jonah Him's still out there. What do you
- 24:48Speaker 3: get Josh Young? Who plays first? I mean Dolus Garcia,
- 24:53Speaker 3: you know he's.
- 24:53Speaker 2: Not there anymore.
- 24:54Speaker 3: So there's a lot, a lot of questions in the
- 24:56Speaker 3: Rangers world. I mean, Nemo's a nice piece, but is enough.
- 25:00Speaker 3: I don't think it was because this team wasn't very
- 25:02Speaker 3: good last year. So yes, they're gonna try some different things.
- 25:04Speaker 3: And I love this signing for Junas and I love
- 25:06Speaker 3: this signing for the Rangers because he can pitch late
- 25:08Speaker 3: in games for you, he can start games for you,
- 25:10Speaker 3: he can be a long guy for you. So for
- 25:12Speaker 3: Jacob Junas, yes, this is an awesome place to go,
- 25:14Speaker 3: have a one year deal, make some money, pitch in
- 25:16Speaker 3: a pitcher's park, and get ready to do it again
- 25:18Speaker 3: next year.
- 25:19Speaker 2: Thanks.
- 25:24Speaker 1: All right, let's talk about it. Speaking of the Cubs.
- 25:26Speaker 1: I don't think this is from the staffer, but the
- 25:28Speaker 1: Chicago Cubs reunion of their curse breaking twoy sixteen World
- 25:33Speaker 1: Series title team had a notable absence that was Chris Bryant.
- 25:37Speaker 1: So the Rockies guys denied that they blocked Chris Bryant
- 25:40Speaker 1: from attending the twenty and sixteen Cubs reunion. The twenty
- 25:45Speaker 1: sixteen National League MVP was not on the stage when
- 25:48Speaker 1: Anthony Rizzo, Kyle Schwaba, Javier Bias, John Lester, Kyle Hendricks,
- 25:52Speaker 1: and several other former Cubs players appeared at Cubs convention
- 25:56Speaker 1: on Friday. Now fans in search for you reason soon
- 25:58Speaker 1: found one former sport on radio station six seventy the Score,
- 26:02Speaker 1: which claimed that Bryant was not allowed to be there
- 26:06Speaker 1: by his team. I mean, that seems a little silly.
- 26:09Speaker 1: It's not as if the Rockies are doing anything right now,
- 26:12Speaker 1: as I mean, it's the off season. What the hell
- 26:14Speaker 1: do the Rockies care if Chris Bryant goes back and
- 26:18Speaker 1: it tends of reunion. What do you make of it?
- 26:20Speaker 3: It?
- 26:20Speaker 2: Ericugh, no way. I have hard time believing there is
- 26:26Speaker 2: a reason that the Rockies would have said that. I'm
- 26:28Speaker 2: gonna go false. I don't see what would happen unless
- 26:32Speaker 2: the Rockies. Unless the Rockies are having their rock Fest
- 26:36Speaker 2: their fan fest the exact same time. Then be like, man,
- 26:40Speaker 2: we really like for you to be here. But I
- 26:43Speaker 2: know it's cool to go to a ten year reunion
- 26:45Speaker 2: of the team that broke the curse. And like, you
- 26:47Speaker 2: guys are legends, Like I have a hard time believing
- 26:50Speaker 2: that the Rockies blocked this.
- 26:52Speaker 1: There's no way I.
- 26:54Speaker 3: Do too. I don't know. I mean, listen, I'll say this,
- 26:57Speaker 3: and you know you know how hard just from you
- 26:58Speaker 3: say nice things about the Cubs. I saw pictures and
- 27:00Speaker 3: videos of how they did their ten year reunion. I
- 27:03Speaker 3: mean they did it right. Like the way they did
- 27:05Speaker 3: this and the fact that they invited every single person
- 27:08Speaker 3: that was a part of it, whether they played one
- 27:10Speaker 3: game or a hundred games for this team. That's the
- 27:12Speaker 3: way you do these things. Everyone should be allowed to
- 27:14Speaker 3: come there. Everyone should be allowed to play there. Now. Listen,
- 27:16Speaker 3: when we had our tenure in twenty fifteen, I couldn't
- 27:20Speaker 3: go because I was still playing. It was in the
- 27:22Speaker 3: middle of the season. We didn't get invited to the
- 27:24Speaker 3: White Sox fast and now. But in the middle of
- 27:26Speaker 3: the season. I couldn't go, right cool, no big deal,
- 27:30Speaker 3: but I was at least they at least called me
- 27:31Speaker 3: and asked me and said, hey, you know you can't.
- 27:34Speaker 3: You can't come, but you know, do you want to come?
- 27:36Speaker 3: And I'm like, well, I can't. Obviously I'm playing. But
- 27:40Speaker 3: I just don't see how this would be a thing.
- 27:42Speaker 3: I don't I just I don't know. I can't believe
- 27:45Speaker 3: the Rockies would do this.
- 27:47Speaker 1: I agree. Thomas Harding agrees with you. He does a
- 27:50Speaker 1: great job covering the Colorado Rockies for MLB dot Com.
- 27:53Speaker 1: I spoke to a Rockies official this morning who emphatically
- 27:56Speaker 1: says that they report that the CUB that the club
- 27:58Speaker 1: blocked Chris Bryant from attending a c Hubs twenty sixteen
- 28:01Speaker 1: World Series reunion isn't true. Patrick Saunders, who covers the
- 28:04Speaker 1: Rockies for decades for the Denver Post, regarding those online
- 28:07Speaker 1: reports for the Rockies not allowing Chris Bryant to attend
- 28:10Speaker 1: Cubs twenty sixteen reunion, I asked Ackies, I asked Rockies
- 28:14Speaker 1: about it. It is not true. So there you have it.
- 28:18Speaker 1: Stop spreading rumors that is not true. He was allowed
- 28:21Speaker 1: to go. Now, why he wasn't there, that's another story,
- 28:25Speaker 1: but it's not because the Colorado Rockies said that he
- 28:28Speaker 1: could not go. All right, let's switch our focus from
- 28:32Speaker 1: Chris Bryant to Zach Gallen. Guys, the Cubs and Scott
- 28:35Speaker 1: Boris have continued talks apparently on Zach Gallon from MLB
- 28:40Speaker 1: Bruce Levine on six seventy the Score, These talks are ongoing.
- 28:43Speaker 1: My reporting is the possibility is that it'll be a
- 28:46Speaker 1: shorter term type of deal.
- 28:48Speaker 3: Eric.
- 28:48Speaker 1: Does Zach Gallon make sense for Chicago?
- 28:52Speaker 2: Yes, push that we just talked about the rotation. You
- 28:57Speaker 2: don't know what you're gonna get from some of these guys.
- 29:01Speaker 2: And to add Zach Gallen, I am in the camp
- 29:04Speaker 2: that his career is more of what you're getting and
- 29:08Speaker 2: not what happened last year. Not everybody, not everybody's free
- 29:13Speaker 2: agent platform year goes the way that you wanted to go.
- 29:16Speaker 2: And Zach Gallins did not start out very well and
- 29:19Speaker 2: it was a tough hole to dig out for him.
- 29:21Speaker 2: But I'm going to say that what he did in
- 29:24Speaker 2: his career is what he would bring to the Cubs.
- 29:27Speaker 2: It just sucks that Zach Gallen has to do you know,
- 29:31Speaker 2: a single, a one year deal. You know, hopefully it's
- 29:34Speaker 2: over the qualifying offer amount because they'll be giving up
- 29:37Speaker 2: a draft pick. But to me, it's something that is
- 29:42Speaker 2: you know, it sucks, but I guess it's the reality
- 29:44Speaker 2: of what his market is because we haven't heard much.
- 29:47Speaker 2: But again, another Boris client, how have those worked out
- 29:51Speaker 2: for the guys? Pretty freaking well?
- 29:54Speaker 1: Yeah, a couple of years ago, not so great. These
- 29:56Speaker 1: past couple of seasons pretty dang good. I would love
- 29:59Speaker 1: it if Scott Boris just wanted to represent me. Aj
- 30:02Speaker 1: does it? Do you agree with that that Dak Gallon
- 30:04Speaker 1: a nice fit in that rotation? Why not?
- 30:07Speaker 2: Right? Yeah?
- 30:08Speaker 3: I mean he figurating a lot of rotations. I mean Arizona.
- 30:11Speaker 3: I mean, name a team he'd fit in pretty much everyone.
- 30:14Speaker 3: I mean maybe not the Dodgers because they have again
- 30:16Speaker 3: they have so many, but even he looked nice in
- 30:18Speaker 3: their rot I mean, he's a good pitcher. He's a
- 30:21Speaker 3: really good pitcher that's had some really good years. He
- 30:23Speaker 3: didn't have a great year of this year, so teams
- 30:25Speaker 3: are a little scared. But yeah, give him a one
- 30:27Speaker 3: year you know, one of them opt outs like Blake
- 30:29Speaker 3: Snell did in San Francisco and then watch him getting
- 30:31Speaker 3: the free agency again next year. I think this makes
- 30:34Speaker 3: sense for the Cubs, for any team out there that
- 30:36Speaker 3: wants a above average major league starter that can teach
- 30:39Speaker 3: young kids how to prepare, how to do, how to
- 30:41Speaker 3: pitch every fit day, and how and how to be
- 30:44Speaker 3: a big leaguer. Yes, yes, it's the same thing. Okay,
- 30:49Speaker 3: I saw Justin Berlander yesterday. Okay, I talked to him.
- 30:52Speaker 3: I suggested, what's happening, and He's like, I want to play,
- 30:54Speaker 3: you know, I'm just waiting for a doll be figured out.
- 30:57Speaker 3: And I said, why you know you have? He wants
- 31:00Speaker 3: to go to a winning team. But I suggested like
- 31:03Speaker 3: he was sitting with some other people that I know,
- 31:04Speaker 3: and they said, why wouldn't a young team like you know,
- 31:08Speaker 3: I'll use Cincinnati because we talked to c Trent. Why
- 31:10Speaker 3: wouldn't they bring him in. I know they say they
- 31:12Speaker 3: are starting pitching death. But for one year, fifteen million,
- 31:14Speaker 3: whatever it is, for Justin Berlin, it's great. The last
- 31:16Speaker 3: two months, by the way, can teach some of these
- 31:18Speaker 3: guys that, yes I know Lodolo and Andrew Abbott and
- 31:21Speaker 3: even a Hunter Green have done have some years. But
- 31:24Speaker 3: he can teach you how to do this for fifteen
- 31:26Speaker 3: to twenty years, right, how to prepare, how to get ready.
- 31:29Speaker 3: Like that makes sense to me. So Zach Gallon, who's
- 31:31Speaker 3: even more in the prime of his career, makes even
- 31:33Speaker 3: more sense to every team.
- 31:47Speaker 1: All right, Ryan Presley, guys, has announced his retirement. He's
- 31:50Speaker 1: going to work for the Twins. They also hired Michael A. Taylor,
- 31:54Speaker 1: another recent retiree who should easily relate to the current Twins.
- 31:57Speaker 1: Of course, just played there. Presley was one of the
- 31:59Speaker 1: most most clutch closers in recent times. It's never easy,
- 32:04Speaker 1: I would imagine to say, you're hanging up your cleets, guys,
- 32:07Speaker 1: But just what you'll remember, Eric about Ryan Pressley's career.
- 32:12Speaker 2: I had a dinger off of him. That's all I'll
- 32:15Speaker 2: remember about his career. No, like, this was a guy
- 32:18Speaker 2: that you would look at and you go if it's
- 32:20Speaker 2: the postseason, game's over, Like it wasn't even it was
- 32:26Speaker 2: rarely like a panic mode when he was in the
- 32:29Speaker 2: game in the offseason. It was like, here comes that
- 32:32Speaker 2: slider curveball thing that'll go straight down and he'll throw
- 32:35Speaker 2: the one that goes the a little bit farther away
- 32:38Speaker 2: from a ridy and he was unapologetic about throwing it
- 32:42Speaker 2: and very seemed very low key, seemed very under control.
- 32:47Speaker 2: He made closing look easy at times, and you can't
- 32:52Speaker 2: win can't win the World Series without a really good closer,
- 32:54Speaker 2: and he did it really well for a long time.
- 32:58Speaker 1: What do you think about him? Aj obviously a steady
- 33:01Speaker 1: presence on the mound, a guy that knows what to
- 33:03Speaker 1: do in those big moments. Decided that he's done with
- 33:07Speaker 1: the game, but only as a player.
- 33:10Speaker 3: Yeah, he's a perfect guy to hire as a coach
- 33:12Speaker 3: to help young guys, especially in bullpens, become relievers. He
- 33:16Speaker 3: went from a kind of a middle guy to a
- 33:18Speaker 3: late inning reliever that won World Series, and he was
- 33:21Speaker 3: incredible in the postseason. He kind of fell into the
- 33:23Speaker 3: line of cutters and curveballs. That's like one of the
- 33:26Speaker 3: combos that teams really like now, cutters and curveballs, Mark
- 33:29Speaker 3: Milance and cutters and curveballs. Right, And if you're a
- 33:31Speaker 3: closer and you can throw a cutter and then back
- 33:33Speaker 3: it up with a curveball, it's a great weapon. And
- 33:35Speaker 3: Ryan Presley, congrats on a great career and we'll see
- 33:37Speaker 3: you in Minnesota.
- 33:38Speaker 1: Yeah, no doubt. Congratulations, phenomenal career for him. Good for you.
- 33:42Speaker 1: Appreciate being able to watch you right. Coming up next guys,
- 33:46Speaker 1: Dodger's Territory with myself and Clint Pasias, and then you
- 33:49Speaker 1: can join Baseball America's JJ Cooper and the team for
- 33:52Speaker 1: hot Sheet at three thirty pm. Don't forget fair territory. Tomorrow,
- 33:56Speaker 1: Ken Rosenthal will be on, Scott Braun will be back,
- 33:59Speaker 1: and it is time now for krats hats.
- 34:04Speaker 2: I mean, honestly to wear my Rockies hat.
- 34:08Speaker 1: But so that don't make any sense. That doesn't make
- 34:15Speaker 1: any sense. I'm not a Rockies fan.
- 34:17Speaker 2: You're totally a Colorado fan. Like I guess I'm a.
- 34:21Speaker 1: Denver Broncos fan. Yes, but I'm not a Colorado Rockies fan.
- 34:25Speaker 2: You're a Colorado Rockies fan. It's okay. Purple is a
- 34:28Speaker 2: nice color. And you you're a fan of the Rockies
- 34:33Speaker 2: because you're a Dodgers fan and they get to beat
- 34:36Speaker 2: the Dodgers all the time. I mean they get to
- 34:38Speaker 2: lose the Dodgers all the time, and so the Dodgers
- 34:40Speaker 2: will win one hundred and sixty two games.
- 34:42Speaker 1: I will say this about the Rockies. I do like
- 34:44Speaker 1: the regime change. I think Walkermontfort's going to do some
- 34:47Speaker 1: good things. I also like the fact that they're going
- 34:49Speaker 1: outside of the organization and bringing some outside perspective in
- 34:53Speaker 1: and honestly, with the way that things hat went last year,
- 34:56Speaker 1: they can There's nowhere to go but up for the
- 34:59Speaker 1: rock show.
- 35:00Speaker 2: Good on, Careful. The White Sox said the same thing, careful.
- 35:08Speaker 1: Nowhere to go, but you guys have great rest of
- 35:10Speaker 1: your day. Appreciate you happing to me. Tag along. Scott
- 35:13Speaker 1: Braun is back. Don't forget guys. At three pm this
- 35:16Speaker 1: Dodger's Territory with myself and Clint says. These two will
- 35:20Speaker 1: be back with you tomorrow. Catch you later.
