- 2:10Speaker 4: this last weekend. And then in the second how we're
- 2:17Speaker 4: gonna have Hey suss ortiz on, we're gonna talk Astros
- 2:20Speaker 4: baseball as pitchers and catchers all over the Arizona and
- 2:26Speaker 4: Florida are getting ready for minor league, I mean major
- 2:31Speaker 4: league baseball. So we've got a big show for you
- 2:34Speaker 4: here on All Willie Wednesday. But our sports headlines are
- 2:37Speaker 4: brought to us by Radiant Dentistry mal Feasins. At the
- 2:43Speaker 4: Olympics as the ice dancing pairs just finished, and this
- 2:58Speaker 4: French couple that has issues with let's say assaults, not
- 3:09Speaker 4: the young lady she was married to a skater that
- 3:14Speaker 4: got kicked out of the Olympics or the French team,
- 3:17Speaker 4: and then her current partner who's been accused. They're gonna
- 3:23Speaker 4: win the gold by one point. So if you don't
- 3:28Speaker 4: want to hear some of these, because here's the thing,
- 3:32Speaker 4: some of these stories I don't talk about. I've done
- 3:35Speaker 4: a great job of not having spoilers. This is going
- 3:39Speaker 4: to spoil my evening's Olympic watching. But I'm watching the
- 3:44Speaker 4: aggies and listening to the broadcast getting it synced up,
- 3:49Speaker 4: so you know, it doesn't really matter to me. Tonight.
- 3:57Speaker 4: I can tell you that Lindsay Vaughn third leg surgery
- 4:01Speaker 4: since the crash, so just the intestinal fortitude to try that.
- 4:13Speaker 4: And I know that the the a lot of people that,
- 4:17Speaker 4: you know, why would you do this? You were already hurt,
- 4:21Speaker 4: You're trying to go out there. This has nothing to
- 4:23Speaker 4: do with her torn acl She caught a gate with
- 4:27Speaker 4: her arm, so that doesn't really apply. It's just, you know,
- 4:34Speaker 4: an injury. It's like watching the combined slalom in Downhill
- 4:40Speaker 4: last night. You get a great run from your Olympic
- 4:44Speaker 4: gold medalist in the slalom, I mean in the downhill
- 4:48Speaker 4: and you have an opportunity to win it. And the
- 4:50Speaker 4: worst run in the slalom this year by the favorite
- 4:58Speaker 4: for the gold medal keep some Erica off the stand completely.
- 5:05Speaker 4: She had been in eight slaloms this year and she
- 5:13Speaker 4: she had seven first place and she had one second.
- 5:21Speaker 4: So just crazy that she was unable to you know,
- 5:27Speaker 4: she was like the twenty second fastest slalom yesterday. But
- 5:33Speaker 4: that's what makes the Olympics so great because your favorites
- 5:36Speaker 4: can win, lose, you can have the underdog. You have
- 5:42Speaker 4: the mixed curling. Amazing job to get the silver inches
- 5:53Speaker 4: away from winning a gold, but that's what curling is
- 5:55Speaker 4: all about. Just missed a tap by an inch, but
- 6:03Speaker 4: they eliminated Italy, who had won the Olympics, didn't compete
- 6:07Speaker 4: for three years, won the World Championships and then won
- 6:11Speaker 4: the bronze. So still a storybook, you know, first time
- 6:16Speaker 4: ever to medal. And the combined curling for Tmosaosa is
- 6:25Speaker 4: now at goal at twelve medals total. That's four golds,
- 6:30Speaker 4: six silver, two bronze. That trails Norway, which is seven
- 6:35Speaker 4: golds two silver and four bronze and the bouncer. Being
- 6:40Speaker 4: the home country and performing in front of your home
- 6:42Speaker 4: fans is always something. I look at Italy now in
- 6:46Speaker 4: second place in the medal count with four golds, two
- 6:50Speaker 4: silvers and seven bronze. It doesn't matter, well, it doesn't matter,
- 6:55Speaker 4: you know. I don't know how much I cheered for
- 7:00Speaker 4: Chinese figure skaters when they were competing in Beijing. Had
- 7:04Speaker 4: nothing to do with them. But Italy, you know, you
- 7:09Speaker 4: know they were our allies in World War One and
- 7:12Speaker 4: our enemy in World War two. I can you know?
- 7:15Speaker 4: Time heals all wounds, I guess, but what has gone
- 7:20Speaker 4: on with them? The co ed speed skating short track amazing.
- 7:29Speaker 4: TSA crashes out in the semifinals, so I'm not I
- 7:35Speaker 4: have very little to cheer for. You get the finals. Italy,
- 7:40Speaker 4: one of the two women in there, picks up her
- 7:43Speaker 4: twelfth gold medal, I mean her twelfth medal. She has
- 7:48Speaker 4: medaled in six Olympics. And to do it in front
- 7:54Speaker 4: of the home crowd amazing. So still get still get
- 7:59Speaker 4: the enjoyment. The physicalness of the quad God has been
- 8:06Speaker 4: very amazing. I know that Chip would be all about
- 8:11Speaker 4: telling you everything you wanted to know about figure skating
- 8:15Speaker 4: if he was here today, But he's not, so you know,
- 8:19Speaker 4: kind of, that's just how it falls. He'll catch you
- 8:23Speaker 4: up on figure skating tomorrow. See what else is going
- 8:27Speaker 4: on in the world of sports. Another spoiler. If you're
- 8:32Speaker 4: watching Team luge, which is next to skeleton, the craziest
- 8:42Speaker 4: thing you can do and lose and skeleton head first
- 8:47Speaker 4: or feet first, going seventy miles an hour, it's crazy
- 8:53Speaker 4: on skis, I can understand a little bit. But after
- 8:58Speaker 4: watching The Spy Who Loved Me and watching seaw I mean,
- 9:03Speaker 4: watching James Bond skiing in a lose track, it's always
- 9:07Speaker 4: been scary to me since then. But the the Italians
- 9:14Speaker 4: won the pairs, so there you go, another win for them.
- 9:19Speaker 4: Let's see. Uh, let's get back to sports in the
- 9:22Speaker 4: United States. The I came on two weeks ago. I
- 9:34Speaker 4: talked about, uh, the fact that the SEC shouldn't have
- 9:43Speaker 4: allowed the temporary restraining order for Charles B. Badaco to compete,
- 9:57Speaker 4: that the SEC should have told Alabama don't blame they
- 10:01Speaker 4: finally did it finally comes up a week short. If
- 10:06Speaker 4: you're Auburn who lost to Alabama, if you're Texas a
- 10:11Speaker 4: and M who lost to Alabama. You want to know
- 10:14Speaker 4: how you're going to get some justice. There's no other
- 10:20Speaker 4: way to look at it. You deserve relief. You deserve
- 10:24Speaker 4: justice because in a three point loss, he scored five
- 10:30Speaker 4: points against A and M. So if nothing else, A
- 10:37Speaker 4: and M should have walked off the floor with a w.
- 10:40Speaker 4: Even though they played better against him than any other
- 10:43Speaker 4: team he played. He averaged sixteen points a game. He
- 10:45Speaker 4: had five against A and M. They defended him well,
- 10:51Speaker 4: but the fact of the matter is how can it
- 10:54Speaker 4: be held against them? So I think there's going to
- 10:59Speaker 4: be a new that does not include those games. The
- 11:03Speaker 4: NCAA doesn't have to show it to anybody. If we've
- 11:05Speaker 4: learned anything. The NCAA is not going to show anything
- 11:09Speaker 4: at all about that Auburn. He was dominant against Auburn.
- 11:16Speaker 4: There's no way Alabama beats Auburn on that day in
- 11:20Speaker 4: their house unless he's playing at the level that he
- 11:23Speaker 4: played at that game. A and M and Auburn deserve relief,
- 11:29Speaker 4: no doubt about it. So it'll be very interesting to
- 11:33Speaker 4: see if anything comes about that NFL combine coming up Texas.
- 11:44Speaker 4: A and M the most invites of any SEC team
- 11:49Speaker 4: to the combine. That is a huge step forward for
- 11:55Speaker 4: this program because A and M has been having players drafted,
- 12:01Speaker 4: but A and M had a class that was working
- 12:05Speaker 4: its way towards NFL draft eligibility. And to get thirteen
- 12:11Speaker 4: invites Alabama twelve, LSU eleven, Georgia, Oklahoma ten, Florida nine,
- 12:20Speaker 4: Texas seven. Then you look at teams that have struggled Arkansas, Auburn, Kentucky, Missouri,
- 12:31Speaker 4: Tennessee six. Team that did not struggle Ole Miss five.
- 12:38Speaker 4: Does that mean that next year Ole Miss is going
- 12:41Speaker 4: to be as good as they were this year? No,
- 12:44Speaker 4: but it doesn't look like they had the NFL talent
- 12:46Speaker 4: drain that some of the other teams that were on
- 12:49Speaker 4: the top half of the of the SEC with them
- 12:52Speaker 4: are losing them. South Carolina only has four. Their quarterback
- 12:55Speaker 4: came back, their wide receiver came back. I paid a
- 12:58Speaker 4: whole bunch of nil. They could be sitting at six
- 13:01Speaker 4: as well. Vandy two. Who are those two showers in
- 13:06Speaker 4: Pavia and Mississippi State one? Vandy. This is why this
- 13:12Speaker 4: was such a good coaching job. When you look at
- 13:15Speaker 4: the NFL draft, who does the NFL want? Well, if
- 13:19Speaker 4: they're only bringing two guys in that was a pretty
- 13:22Speaker 4: good coaching job by Chuck by Coach League and Ole
- 13:27Speaker 4: Miss pretty good coaching job by Lane Kiffen. If they
- 13:31Speaker 4: only have five in the NFL combine, so there is
- 13:34Speaker 4: some talent drain. And you look at Texas A and
- 13:37Speaker 4: M with thirteen there, that's thirteen guys that were either
- 13:41Speaker 4: on the team last year, in the transfer portal or
- 13:46Speaker 4: in the freshman class. You've got to find thirteen NFL
- 13:50Speaker 4: guys that were not spending very much time on the field,
- 13:54Speaker 4: and that is the challenge for Texas A and M
- 13:57Speaker 4: this next season. So there's are sports headlines brought to
- 14:01Speaker 4: you by Radiant Dentistry. The Steve didn't show when we
- 14:06Speaker 4: come back. But first we're gonna hear about Chad Jones Law.
- 14:11Speaker 5: I'm Chad Jones. We know sports injuries hurt, and so
- 14:14Speaker 5: do injuries from car res. But you didn't sign up
- 14:16Speaker 5: to be in a car wreck with someone who wasn't
- 14:18Speaker 5: paying attention. It was their fault and now you're left
- 14:21Speaker 5: to deal with the consequences. You need to see a
- 14:23Speaker 5: doctor and you're missing work. Chad Jones Law can help.
- 14:26Speaker 5: We've been helping our neighbors for more than two decades.
- 14:28Speaker 5: Stop getting frustrated with the other side's foot dragging. Remember,
- 14:32Speaker 5: don't get mad.
- 14:33Speaker 2: Get Chad.

- 14:39Speaker 5: Law dot com.
- 14:41Speaker 6: Having Kanty and Michelle are fun sportsman life.
- 14:44Speaker 7: We said it all season long. This was perhaps the
- 14:46Speaker 7: easiest path in that Josh Allen and company had no excuses.
- 14:49Speaker 7: Here's a team that is in your division that you
- 14:52Speaker 7: have rained over. They have an amazing season, they get
- 14:56Speaker 7: to the super Bowl and then they have that type
- 14:58Speaker 7: of performance. Josh Allen Buffalo Bells had to watch that
- 15:01Speaker 7: game kicking themselves, but they didn't get it done this season.
- 15:05Speaker 8: Unsportsman like.
- 15:06Speaker 9: Listen in weekday mornings from fine to eight in the
- 15:09Speaker 9: Zone eleven AM and ninety three point seven FM.
- 15:22Speaker 10: Shot gune Willis, it's around and is on the wire
- 15:28Speaker 10: fighting on a bullet pull let out all of his hair.
- 15:35Speaker 10: Shot gune Willi has got all of his.
- 15:37Speaker 11: Founly Welcome to the Steve Denton Show featuring the men's
- 15:44Speaker 11: tennis coach at Texas A and M and your host
- 15:47Speaker 11: Chip Poward. The Steve Denton Show is brought to you
- 15:50Speaker 11: by Texas Regional Licener.
- 16:10Speaker 1: We're on the Players Fund Center phone line for the
- 16:14Speaker 1: first Steve Denton Show of twenty twenty six. The agimen's
- 16:20Speaker 1: tennis team, off to a flying start, went to Waco
- 16:25Speaker 1: on Monday. Let's talk about that match, Steve. Then we
- 16:29Speaker 1: work our way backwards a little bit. You guys going
- 16:34Speaker 1: into play Baylor.
- 16:36Speaker 12: Yeah, yeah, a bit of a road Warriors and that
- 16:38Speaker 12: we you know, haven't played home in a while since
- 16:44Speaker 12: kick for the first in the you know, first weekend
- 16:47Speaker 12: the season, had a doubleheader, so we played Florida State
- 16:50Speaker 12: this last Friday night, had a good win there and
- 16:55Speaker 12: ended up going to play Baylor last night in a
- 17:00Speaker 12: environment I thought our guys came out really well, and
- 17:05Speaker 12: especially in the doubles. They they have I think, very
- 17:10Speaker 12: good doubles, and our guys really kind of took it
- 17:14Speaker 12: to them and a couple of the doubles matches that
- 17:16Speaker 12: gave us a one tozer lead, and uh, you know,
- 17:21Speaker 12: then they responded kind of and and ended up winning
- 17:26Speaker 12: the first set and six all six matches, and you know,
- 17:31Speaker 12: but our to our credit, our guys have you know,
- 17:34Speaker 12: been in some difficult situations already this year, and we've
- 17:38Speaker 12: got a few experienced guys. They were able to fight back,
- 17:42Speaker 12: and I think we won the second set and four
- 17:45Speaker 12: of those six matches to kind of extend the match.
- 17:50Speaker 12: Ultimately didn't get it done, but was real pleased with
- 17:54Speaker 12: that effort. And you know, still had a couple of
- 17:56Speaker 12: matches on the court that you know, we're still pending
- 18:01Speaker 12: as as they got their fourth point, but a lot
- 18:05Speaker 12: of close matches that could have gone our way. I
- 18:07Speaker 12: thought ship the difference last night was maybe they were
- 18:12Speaker 12: a little bit more aggressive than we were, certainly coming
- 18:16Speaker 12: some of that came from the crowd. They got a
- 18:18Speaker 12: lot of energy there, but also I felt like they
- 18:23Speaker 12: also played the three all points a little bit better
- 18:26Speaker 12: than we did. I told the guys that last night
- 18:30Speaker 12: after the match, and uh, you know, it's something that
- 18:34Speaker 12: we can continue to work on to try to get better.
- 18:37Speaker 12: And those what I call kind of clutch moments of matches,
- 18:40Speaker 12: our guys weren't quite as good as they were.
- 18:44Speaker 1: What are what are the courts like at that Tennis
- 18:46Speaker 1: center Endoor Steve, I.
- 18:49Speaker 12: Would say kind of medium, but I felt like that
- 18:54Speaker 12: they served a bit better and they were more aggressive.
- 18:58Speaker 12: They played up on the baseline a little bit more
- 19:00Speaker 12: than us and kind of we're you know, we were
- 19:02Speaker 12: reacting rather than you know, taking it to them a
- 19:06Speaker 12: little bit. And we've played you know, majority of indoor
- 19:10Speaker 12: tennis so far this year, the most we've ever played
- 19:14Speaker 12: thus far in the season. So I didn't think it
- 19:17Speaker 12: was the court speed or anything, but I think it
- 19:19Speaker 12: was just the style of play that they were able
- 19:22Speaker 12: to implement or kind of force on us. We played
- 19:26Speaker 12: a little bit more their game than us playing enough
- 19:29Speaker 12: of our game in a couple of matches, and you know,
- 19:33Speaker 12: ultimately that was the difference. And you just can't even
- 19:36Speaker 12: after winning the doubles point, you can't dig a hole
- 19:39Speaker 12: like we dug last night and get completely out of
- 19:42Speaker 12: it very easily when they've got all six first sets
- 19:46Speaker 12: and you gotta you know, really come through with a
- 19:50Speaker 12: small margin there to get back in it.
- 19:52Speaker 1: You're going back on Friday, right for the indoors we are, and.
- 19:56Speaker 12: We just found out that we're gonna play Texas at
- 20:02Speaker 12: noon on Friday, so be a really good match and
- 20:06Speaker 12: I know our guys are excited to get back on
- 20:09Speaker 12: after it again. So you know, another great opportunity for
- 20:15Speaker 12: us at the enddoor and getting to play obviously a
- 20:19Speaker 12: really quality opponent in our conference that we're going to
- 20:22Speaker 12: see again later in the year.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Is there any advantage Friday to having just played in
- 20:27Speaker 1: that arena on Monday?
- 20:30Speaker 12: Absolutely? Yeah. I mean we're accustomed to the court conditions.
- 20:35Speaker 12: You know, typically teams right now CHIP are showing up
- 20:38Speaker 12: there to get some practice times. Yeah, and we were
- 20:41Speaker 12: there on Sunday and we actually had a live match
- 20:46Speaker 12: on Monday. They have implemented the new electronic line calling
- 20:51Speaker 12: system into college tennis.
- 20:54Speaker 1: How did that work for you?
- 20:56Speaker 12: Well, it was interesting. We had a match or two
- 20:59Speaker 12: that I felt I kind of went the wrong direction
- 21:02Speaker 12: on us, almost more that because it's just new for
- 21:05Speaker 12: us to have to deal with and how to handle things.
- 21:08Speaker 12: But you know, in all in all, it's I think
- 21:11Speaker 12: it's going to be great for college tennis. I know
- 21:13Speaker 12: we're supposed to get our system in sometime here fairly
- 21:16Speaker 12: soon as we're hosting the SEC tournament later in April,
- 21:21Speaker 12: and so, you know, this is something that's moving forward
- 21:24Speaker 12: in college tennis. I think it's something that's needed to
- 21:26Speaker 12: have happened, and I think it will level the playing field,
- 21:31Speaker 12: certainly home and away in a lot of these matches
- 21:35Speaker 12: and everybody will become accustomed to it and they'll be,
- 21:40Speaker 12: you know, less arguing and everything else. I think so,
- 21:43Speaker 12: and I think it'll make matches cleaner overall. So I'm
- 21:47Speaker 12: I'm thrilled about it. And but it's it's just something
- 21:53Speaker 12: new that our guys are going to have to get
- 21:55Speaker 12: acclimated to.
- 21:57Speaker 1: We'll continue with Steve Denton after this for Texas Regional.
- 22:01Speaker 13: When it's time for cataract surgery, there's no need to
- 22:04Speaker 13: drive to the city for the most advanced cataract care.

- 22:34Speaker 1: A and m the Aggies at the National Indoors in Waco.
- 22:38Speaker 1: Coming up this weekend taking on Texas got some got
- 22:43Speaker 1: a couple of familiar names, Steve for me from a
- 22:46Speaker 1: year ago, You've got I've got some new names. I
- 22:48Speaker 1: want you to talk a little bit about the roster
- 22:51Speaker 1: that you've put together for this year.
- 22:54Speaker 12: Yeah. Yeah, We've got some talented players that have some
- 22:57Speaker 12: experience from South Africa. Is an extremely exciting player to watch.
- 23:06Speaker 12: He played number two for Oklahoma last year and kind
- 23:10Speaker 12: of people's reference would be, uh. You know, he beat J. C.
- 23:14Speaker 12: Roddick a couple of times last year.
- 23:17Speaker 14: Uh.
- 23:17Speaker 12: And and UH is a good player and had not
- 23:20Speaker 12: lost until last night. I thought the guy that beat
- 23:23Speaker 12: him last night played an exceptional match against him. Uh
- 23:28Speaker 12: and it was his first loss of the spring.
- 23:31Speaker 13: Uh.
- 23:32Speaker 12: Then we've got Alex Arsina, who's a Houston boy that
- 23:38Speaker 12: uh played number two for auburt He also beat UH
- 23:42Speaker 12: j C last year and also beat Texas when he
- 23:45Speaker 12: played Texas. Uh And he's on our roster then, uh
- 23:50Speaker 12: And he's brought a lot of energy and I think
- 23:54Speaker 12: he's just an amazing team player and you know, everybody's
- 24:00Speaker 12: gonna like him a lot. Both these guys are both
- 24:03Speaker 12: two way guys, meaning they're they're good in singles and
- 24:06Speaker 12: doubles and they've been playing doubles together again. Last night
- 24:09Speaker 12: was the first night that they had lost the doubles
- 24:12Speaker 12: up a doubles point and uh so hopefully we'll get
- 24:16Speaker 12: them back going. But they've been playing good doubles together.
- 24:19Speaker 12: Uh meshing well. And uh then Thiago obviously pres is back.
- 24:25Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 24:27Speaker 12: Uh he played three four for us last year three
- 24:30Speaker 12: a lot and now he's uh four hole right now. Uh.
- 24:36Speaker 12: But we've got some depth there as well.
- 24:38Speaker 6: Uh.
- 24:39Speaker 12: Togan Tokak who uh played number one doubles a good
- 24:43Speaker 12: doubles there for us, had a good doubles win last
- 24:46Speaker 12: night against Mailer against the top and you know, he's
- 24:54Speaker 12: kind of been been in that five spot freshman that
- 24:58Speaker 12: just came from a stony. Unfortunately, he wasn't there last night.
- 25:04Speaker 12: He was off playing Davis Cup this weekend. And he's
- 25:08Speaker 12: from Estonia. We had Ava Palma from Estonia a few
- 25:14Speaker 12: years back on our team on the women's side. And
- 25:19Speaker 12: Marcus Molder is a very good player kind of frame
- 25:24Speaker 12: of reference. He beat He beat Theo who's our number
- 25:28Speaker 12: one player twice last summer. And he wasn't there last
- 25:33Speaker 12: night because he was at Davis Cup and his country
- 25:40Speaker 12: over the weekend, but he'll be back. I think he's
- 25:44Speaker 12: get back later today. Pretty long trips, long turnaround for
- 25:49Speaker 12: him to have to play, going from playing altitude outside
- 25:54Speaker 12: tennis to indoor tennis at you know, at in Waco
- 26:01Speaker 12: on Friday, So we'll see kind of what his availability
- 26:04Speaker 12: will be after a long trip like that. And then
- 26:10Speaker 12: and then we've got our freshman that was the top
- 26:13Speaker 12: thirty forty player in the world from India, Chris Tiagi,
- 26:18Speaker 12: who allowed he's played a couple of matches here recently,
- 26:21Speaker 12: played very good doubles. Yesterday he was thank for all
- 26:25Speaker 12: and when we played at Florida State, so he's just
- 26:30Speaker 12: getting his feet wet into college tennis. And then we've
- 26:35Speaker 12: got some usual guys retouched hotel and still all those
- 26:42Speaker 12: guys are still on the team as well, so we've
- 26:44Speaker 12: got a you know, a pretty strong roster. I think
- 26:49Speaker 12: guys get along great, they work hard, and obviously we've
- 26:53Speaker 12: got a tough road ahead with all the great teams
- 26:56Speaker 12: that we're going to be playing at, especially in the SEC.
- 27:00Speaker 12: But you know, first off, we need to kind of
- 27:03Speaker 12: see what we can do here in this really tough
- 27:05Speaker 12: NCAA indoor tournament.
- 27:07Speaker 1: You know, I just looked at this. I can't believe you.
- 27:11Speaker 1: The SEC starts a week from Saturday. You're hosting all.
- 27:15Speaker 12: This, Yeah we are.
- 27:17Speaker 4: That's crazy.
- 27:19Speaker 12: Yeah, we're hosting them. And then a split weekend where
- 27:24Speaker 12: we have to go and play at Kentucky Indoors lightly
- 27:27Speaker 12: yep on four courts, which is one of the hardest
- 27:30Speaker 12: places to play. And of.
- 27:35Speaker 1: All, right, we lost, we lost Coach Didton, but we
- 27:39Speaker 1: got the crux of everything that's going on. It's getting
- 27:43Speaker 1: busy and we will visit next week after the National
- 27:47Speaker 1: Indoors and before they begin SEC play. The Steve Denton
- 27:52Speaker 1: Show is brought to us by the Texas Regional Life Center. Hey,

- 31:04Speaker 4: Welcome into an all Willie Wednesday. We're gonna We're gonna
- 31:09Speaker 4: let Willie at least sing you know part of this song.
- 31:14Speaker 4: Some days Whitalon just took over, and uh, it's an
- 31:18Speaker 4: all whaling Wednesday. But here's Willie. Never mind, I forgot
- 31:32Speaker 4: we had one more one more bridge before Willie came on.
- 31:36Speaker 4: I'm sorry. This was the all whaling portion of all
- 31:39Speaker 4: Willie Wednesday. Aggie Basketball tonight gonna take on Missouri. Uh,
- 31:46Speaker 4: here are my thoughts about the Aggie's in Missouri. Missouri
- 31:51Speaker 4: ain't Florida. I thought from about the time I watched
- 31:59Speaker 4: a n M play Tennessee, not knowing that Alabama was
- 32:10Speaker 4: going to cheat and get a NBA player back, but
- 32:15Speaker 4: that Florida's front court was going to give A and
- 32:20Speaker 4: M problems. Missouri doesn't do that. Vandy doesn't do that.
- 32:28Speaker 4: Ole miss Oklahoma again. Arkansas has size, but their two
- 32:35Speaker 4: big guys have struggled all year long. They're not going
- 32:39Speaker 4: to do to A and M what Florida did. Texas
- 32:44Speaker 4: one to seven footer. I like Rashaun ag against one
- 32:49Speaker 4: guy Kentucky. Their problem is point guard, not down low.
- 32:57Speaker 4: And then LSU probably the last regular season game that
- 33:01Speaker 4: guy ever coaches. So if you're not going to play
- 33:07Speaker 4: a team that is going to expose you like Florida
- 33:11Speaker 4: just did, what do you have to do to win
- 33:15Speaker 4: the game tonight. Well, first off, don't have a hangover
- 33:22Speaker 4: from the last game. If guys are running at you
- 33:26Speaker 4: feel confident that your SHOT's not going to get blocks,
- 33:30Speaker 4: and you're not shooting it a little bit higher or
- 33:32Speaker 4: a little bit quicker, and you have an opportunity there to,
- 33:40Speaker 4: you know, get the points you need. So I like that. Defensively,
- 33:53Speaker 4: Chip and I had talked about how all of a
- 33:55Speaker 4: sudden Florida was getting good guard play, and when Florida
- 33:58Speaker 4: got good guard play in the year when it was
- 34:01Speaker 4: inconsistent guard play, when they got good guard play, they
- 34:05Speaker 4: could beat anybody. Well, now it's becoming much more consistent
- 34:09Speaker 4: and they look like the class of the league. So
- 34:13Speaker 4: if they're the class of the league, then you can't
- 34:16Speaker 4: worry about the fact that they whipped up on you
- 34:21Speaker 4: like they did. Because in this league, everybody can take
- 34:28Speaker 4: a hickey like this. Kentucky has Florida has themselves done it, Auburn, Alabama,
- 34:37Speaker 4: everybody has had a game like that. In this league,
- 34:40Speaker 4: you can't let that carry on. And I'm thinking that
- 34:45Speaker 4: there's going to be another very good crowd tonight. I
- 34:49Speaker 4: don't think that A and M is in a position
- 34:52Speaker 4: where the loss is last weekend when you had to
- 34:56Speaker 4: sell out crowd and everybody was jazzed up, and you
- 34:59Speaker 4: don't have a game where it looks you know, you're
- 35:03Speaker 4: not you're not competing at the same level or whatever
- 35:06Speaker 4: you want to describe it. Don't get discouraged and not
- 35:10Speaker 4: go to Aggie basketball tonight. Plenty of Aggies from out
- 35:14Speaker 4: of town are not making it for an eight o'clock tip.
- 35:18Speaker 4: So you're still gonna have an effect on this game
- 35:21Speaker 4: and have an effect on Missouri Missouri six and four,
- 35:26Speaker 4: two game winning streak, but three and five on the
- 35:29Speaker 4: road and league play two and three on the road,
- 35:35Speaker 4: So you got to get locked in. We're going about
- 35:40Speaker 4: to hear from Sean ag what he had to say
- 35:41Speaker 4: yesterday when they met the press. You get the gist
- 35:46Speaker 4: of what a senior leader, even on a team full
- 35:49Speaker 4: of upperclassmen and seniors, Why Ag is the leader of
- 35:53Speaker 4: this group? Here's your sign, a gay?
- 35:56Speaker 19: How do you?
- 35:57Speaker 21: How do you guys?
- 35:57Speaker 4: What's going to take to you know, plush the floor loss?
- 36:01Speaker 8: Just get right back on track, you.
- 36:04Speaker 14: Know, I mean exactly what you said, Just flush it.
- 36:06Speaker 14: I mean, it happened. There's always nothing we can do
- 36:09Speaker 14: to go back and change anything. So we learned from it,
- 36:12Speaker 14: we grow from it, and we go on to the
- 36:13Speaker 14: next game. What do you learn, I mean, don't get
- 36:18Speaker 14: too anxious in the game. A lot of game to
- 36:20Speaker 14: come to us understanding when the trap went on to trap.
- 36:26Speaker 14: You know, I feel like we also could have made
- 36:28Speaker 14: a little extra one more passes. I feel like we
- 36:31Speaker 14: played great defense. But no, that's about it.
- 36:36Speaker 22: When you went back and kind of looked at the
- 36:37Speaker 22: film of the game, how do you diagnose some of
- 36:39Speaker 22: the shooting struggles in the first half and what do
- 36:42Speaker 22: you do to maybe not make them that that exact.
- 36:48Speaker 14: Uh, in the first half, we really I feel like
- 36:52Speaker 14: we had we got great shots. I mean, we got
- 36:54Speaker 14: great looks both first half and second half. It just
- 36:56Speaker 14: didn't fall with something we I mean we're not typically
- 36:59Speaker 14: used to, but I feel like when your shots are
- 37:03Speaker 14: not falling, you try to do exhordin everything defensively and
- 37:06Speaker 14: you try to do things we don't do out of
- 37:09Speaker 14: the ordinary in our press. But I mean that's what
- 37:12Speaker 14: we watch them for and we recognize it and we
- 37:14Speaker 14: fix it.
- 37:15Speaker 23: Kind of to that point, just what was kind of
- 37:17Speaker 23: the feeling in the room when you guys did go
- 37:19Speaker 23: back and watch that film.
- 37:21Speaker 14: I mean, I mean I would say probably angry. I
- 37:25Speaker 14: would say we was angry about it, understanding that. I mean,
- 37:28Speaker 14: they just beat us that night. We just gotta clean
- 37:32Speaker 14: up some things and basically like get in the gym.
- 37:38Speaker 4: What do you make of you when you look at Missouri?
- 37:41Speaker 17: This is that you're gonna face.
- 37:42Speaker 19: Missouri is a team.
- 37:43Speaker 4: That you know loses, tell us you and and don't
- 37:46Speaker 4: miss but they beat Kentucky in Florida.
- 37:50Speaker 19: It's kind of crazy all over the place.
- 37:51Speaker 24: So you know, what are you?
- 37:53Speaker 14: Oh, they're a great team. I mean they're a little
- 37:57Speaker 14: slower paced team. They will get up and run. But
- 38:00Speaker 14: I mean that just shows like what you expect, what
- 38:03Speaker 14: you can expect in the SEC SEC play. I mean
- 38:06Speaker 14: you never you never know what what team you would
- 38:08Speaker 14: get from each team.
- 38:10Speaker 19: It's kind of the leader of this team.
- 38:12Speaker 15: What's kind of been your sentiment to your guys the
- 38:14Speaker 15: last couple of days and just kind of feel like
- 38:16Speaker 15: practice is gone.
- 38:18Speaker 14: That's been great. I mean my word has always been is.
- 38:22Speaker 14: I mean, I mean, y'all didn't expect us to just
- 38:24Speaker 14: sweep the SEC and just come out and just win
- 38:27Speaker 14: every game or or play a perfect game all year.
- 38:30Speaker 14: Like I mean, things happen, and what all we can
- 38:33Speaker 14: do is learn from it, grow from it, and continue
- 38:35Speaker 14: to become a better team. And I feel like the
- 38:37Speaker 14: great teams always bounce back either one loss, two loss.
- 38:41Speaker 14: But we got to figure it out. And of course
- 38:44Speaker 14: always the objective is to be playing our best basketball.
- 38:47Speaker 23: In March kind of Where's Funky's.
- 38:51Speaker 14: The exact same thing. Learn from it, grow from it,
- 38:54Speaker 14: especially the things we we did defensively. That was a
- 38:58Speaker 14: little bit of mistakes. But he said, you know, we
- 39:00Speaker 14: got great shots. We've got great looks. I mean, when
- 39:02Speaker 14: you go out, you played great basketball against Georgia and
- 39:06Speaker 14: then I feel like we played good basketball heains Alabama,
- 39:08Speaker 14: but we didn't get the result we wanted. I mean,
- 39:11Speaker 14: you don't have a day where you shoot like the
- 39:13Speaker 14: way we shot.
- 39:15Speaker 4: I tell you somebody who needs to shoot better and
- 39:17Speaker 4: wants to shoot better. As Ruben Dimingez that three pointer
- 39:20Speaker 4: at the end of the game. It may not do
- 39:22Speaker 4: much to the score. I mean, you lost by nineteen
- 39:27Speaker 4: because he buried that three pointer, not twenty two. But
- 39:30Speaker 4: I thought it was interesting in the postgame interview that
- 39:33Speaker 4: Ruben Dimingez is out shooting shots after going to the
- 39:38Speaker 4: locker room, coming out to shoot shots to get his
- 39:42Speaker 4: feel back, and that could be a huge key for
- 39:45Speaker 4: the Aggies in this ball game tonight is to have
- 39:48Speaker 4: that feel and be ready to go. So hopefully Ruben Dominguez,
- 39:53Speaker 4: who has a little bit more of a size advantage
- 39:56Speaker 4: against Missouri as opposed to the LinkedIn Florida. That's what
- 40:00Speaker 4: I was talking about earlier. Here's a guy who can
- 40:04Speaker 4: get some shots off against certain teams that can't govern
- 40:08Speaker 4: can't guard him at six foot six as easily as
- 40:12Speaker 4: Florida can. So let's get back to seeing Reuben Domingus
- 40:16Speaker 4: tonight getting a three point game going, and it'll be
- 40:23Speaker 4: going in the right direction. All right, it's time to
- 40:26Speaker 4: run a break. This portion program's brought to you by

- 43:21Speaker 4: C State James Madison in Northwestern down at the at
- 43:26Speaker 4: the Shriners at Children's clear Water Invitational. Those games are
- 43:32Speaker 4: being played in the morning. That cost my daughter a
- 43:36Speaker 4: chance to get to play against A and M completely
- 43:38Speaker 4: understand why three games start at either nine or eight o'clock.
- 43:44Speaker 4: Another game is at noon. It's fair for the team
- 43:47Speaker 4: to get adjusted to that what they have to do
- 43:50Speaker 4: at an early schedule. It did get It cost my
- 43:54Speaker 4: Bride Bulldogs a chance to play the Aggies and have
- 43:57Speaker 4: to play number one Texas Tech. And we'll talk little
- 44:00Speaker 4: bit about what I saw from them after we hear
- 44:03Speaker 4: from Trisha Ford.
- 44:05Speaker 24: What what maybe is either cause or concern. You're going
- 44:08Speaker 24: to play four weeks out of five on the road.
- 44:11Speaker 24: So's as a coach, and I know yet some of
- 44:14Speaker 24: these players were not all of them together.
- 44:16Speaker 25: Yeah, I'm excited. I think we're gonna get tested this weekend.
- 44:19Speaker 25: I think this past weekend it was just a blessing
- 44:24Speaker 25: to play from the twelfth Man. For the twelfth Man
- 44:26Speaker 25: to show up the way they did. It's what I
- 44:29Speaker 25: feel like Davis Timon should look like every weekend, and
- 44:32Speaker 25: so now it's time to we kind of got our
- 44:35Speaker 25: feet underneath this this weekend. We obviously had some tough matchups,
- 44:38Speaker 25: but I thought overall played solid, obviously having some things
- 44:42Speaker 25: that we need.
- 44:43Speaker 19: To work on. But now it's being on the road
- 44:45Speaker 19: two weekends in a row.
- 44:46Speaker 25: We're going to go coast to coast Florida then California,
- 44:51Speaker 25: and so now we're going to test the waters a
- 44:53Speaker 25: little bit of just what that's going to feel like.
- 44:55Speaker 25: You know, how do we I think communication is going
- 44:57Speaker 25: to be the key on the field and those really
- 45:00Speaker 25: relationship pieces, and so we had talked a little bit
- 45:03Speaker 25: about how I have focused in on making sure that
- 45:06Speaker 25: our team chemistry and kind of those just those relationships
- 45:10Speaker 25: on and off the field are important because we're going
- 45:13Speaker 25: to go test it and we're going to have we
- 45:16Speaker 25: have a.
- 45:16Speaker 19: Lot of players that play in different spots this year.
- 45:18Speaker 19: We have some new players.
- 45:19Speaker 25: I mean, Talent's playing second base for the first time
- 45:22Speaker 25: in your career. You know, Work's been hurt most of
- 45:24Speaker 25: her career, so it hasn't played as much first base.
- 45:26Speaker 25: And our outfield is very you know, new and fresh.
- 45:29Speaker 25: So I think that piece is going to make or.
- 45:33Speaker 19: Break us this weekend.
- 45:34Speaker 24: And I would assume leadership is more important on the road.
- 45:38Speaker 24: And I know you played five games and you had
- 45:40Speaker 24: some fall schedule. It's as a team that you know,
- 45:43Speaker 24: long on leadership with my standard could use some more
- 45:47Speaker 24: or what about leadership?
- 45:48Speaker 25: Yeah, I think leadership overall in this generation is hard.
- 45:53Speaker 19: If I'm being very honest.
- 45:54Speaker 25: They are so concerned with you not being likable or
- 45:59Speaker 25: hurting somebody feelings.
- 46:00Speaker 19: You know, I'll go on a tangent.
- 46:02Speaker 25: But you know, we used to fight and then be
- 46:06Speaker 25: done with it, you know, and now it turns into
- 46:09Speaker 25: these long things that everybody has it on social media
- 46:13Speaker 25: and that stays up there permanently, right like when you
- 46:15Speaker 25: and I had a beef when we were growing up,
- 46:17Speaker 25: we had a beef.
- 46:18Speaker 19: There was nothing and it was over and done with.
- 46:20Speaker 25: And so so I think that part is always hard
- 46:25Speaker 25: for them and complicated.
- 46:26Speaker 19: So what we talk about is maybe not being a leadership,
- 46:29Speaker 19: but being being a leader.
- 46:30Speaker 25: But somebody who is being a good example, somebody who
- 46:34Speaker 25: is communicating, somebody who is out there always representing our
- 46:39Speaker 25: standard and clamp. And part of that is some of
- 46:43Speaker 25: those leadership qualities, right, what are our traits? And so
- 46:46Speaker 25: you might be really good at connecting with these type
- 46:50Speaker 25: of players.
- 46:50Speaker 19: So I need you to help us rally these people.
- 46:53Speaker 25: KA might be really good with this group, and so
- 46:56Speaker 25: it's really important that we have a core group that
- 47:00Speaker 25: can connect to different types of people because that's what
- 47:03Speaker 25: makes us great and being able to bring those people along.
- 47:06Speaker 19: And so I think for me.
- 47:07Speaker 25: That's why I'm having a lot of conversations with Maya.
- 47:10Speaker 25: Co Charger talks to her quite a bit work talent,
- 47:14Speaker 25: kk ak lesson Tine like just a lot of a
- 47:20Speaker 25: little bit of everybody, Frankie, you know. I think for us,
- 47:23Speaker 25: it's getting them to understand how to get.
- 47:26Speaker 19: Out of their comfort zone.
- 47:28Speaker 25: They are so infatuated with that stupid square thing. And
- 47:32Speaker 25: so I've challenged a couple of them, like you're gonna
- 47:34Speaker 25: go and you need to go have coffee with the
- 47:36Speaker 25: teammate or you know whatever it is a drink, you know,
- 47:40Speaker 25: a cop iced coffee or whatever the energy drinks are,
- 47:44Speaker 25: and they don't do that anymore. Whereas that's all I know, right,
- 47:49Speaker 25: we didn't have anything else except our ability to talk
- 47:53Speaker 25: face to face.
- 47:53Speaker 19: So it's been good because some of them, we have
- 47:55Speaker 19: a lot of quiet kids.
- 47:56Speaker 25: If I could be honest with you, like Maya is
- 47:58Speaker 25: not really outgoing. She is outgoing when she knows you,
- 48:02Speaker 25: but like when she first meets somebody, she's gonna like
- 48:06Speaker 25: take in the situation. And I think we have a
- 48:08Speaker 25: team full of that, of really hard working players, and so.
- 48:12Speaker 19: Now it's challenging them to have a voice on the field.
- 48:14Speaker 25: It's almost like you have to have a second personality
- 48:17Speaker 25: out on the field, and then you can be who
- 48:19Speaker 25: you normally are, you know, in everyday life, but when
- 48:23Speaker 25: you're out on that field, there is an expectation and
- 48:25Speaker 25: a demand of this is how you're going to play.
- 48:29Speaker 19: Y'all were really good on the road last year. Can
- 48:32Speaker 19: you kind of just talk about that.
- 48:33Speaker 21: Group of returners and experiencing that and then knowing that
- 48:36Speaker 21: you know they can go out and do.
- 48:37Speaker 20: That at that same thing.
- 48:38Speaker 25: Yeah, I think it has a lot to do with
- 48:41Speaker 25: sticking with the plan, and that's not coach feet, but
- 48:44Speaker 25: I mean understanding this is our process, this is how
- 48:46Speaker 25: we execute it, and it really doesn't matter where we are,
- 48:49Speaker 25: what day it is, what time it is.
- 48:51Speaker 19: The standard is the standard.
- 48:53Speaker 25: And so I think that that group that just graduated,
- 48:57Speaker 25: and then obviously ours that are returning, they went through it.
- 49:01Speaker 25: We played one of the hardest schedules you could have
- 49:02Speaker 25: played last year, and they won on the road at
- 49:05Speaker 25: home and neutral sites, and so that's something that I'm
- 49:09Speaker 25: hoping that as we move forward, it really isn't a
- 49:11Speaker 25: thing when.
- 49:12Speaker 19: We first got here. That was a thing we did.
- 49:14Speaker 25: Not win on the road, and really it's just about
- 49:18Speaker 25: a process like can you execute this? And it doesn't
- 49:21Speaker 25: really matter what any and it is where you know,
- 49:25Speaker 25: like I said, if you're at Davis or if you're
- 49:27Speaker 25: at you know, clear Water, it's being able to execute
- 49:31Speaker 25: at high and high lever situations. And so that's why
- 49:34Speaker 25: practice is so hard. I want practice to be really
- 49:36Speaker 25: hard so that when it happens in a game, you've
- 49:39Speaker 25: already done that one hundred million times in your head
- 49:42Speaker 25: and it kind of it comes to second nature.
- 49:44Speaker 21: Michaela said she was working with harder on defensive stuff
- 49:47Speaker 21: already this more and just kind of speak in that
- 49:50Speaker 21: regard and just trying to clean up and even if
- 49:52Speaker 21: it was some.
- 49:53Speaker 19: Jitter or sort of yeah, I think you know, Mick.
- 49:57Speaker 25: Just impressed with her, like and she's having some success
- 50:00Speaker 25: and that's a part, like that's why I coach is Yes,
- 50:03Speaker 25: you want to see them be successful, but what you
- 50:05Speaker 25: really want to see is their ability to put in
- 50:08Speaker 25: hard work when people are not watching, and it come
- 50:12Speaker 25: to fruition and it's starting to come you're starting to
- 50:15Speaker 25: see that with her, and now she wants to do
- 50:17Speaker 25: even more and.
- 50:18Speaker 19: That's just kind of who she is.
- 50:19Speaker 25: And that's what you want them to learn from this game,
- 50:22Speaker 25: is what hard work and dedication and sacrifice what that
- 50:26Speaker 25: turns into in life. And so Mick, I think one
- 50:29Speaker 25: of the first things this morning, Coach Ruger said, was
- 50:32Speaker 25: Mixed texting me and she wants to work on, you know,
- 50:35Speaker 25: a couple of things, and he goes, I love it, Like,
- 50:38Speaker 25: how do you not as a coach want to go
- 50:40Speaker 25: out there with a kid that just had probably one
- 50:42Speaker 25: of the best weekends across the country and she's the
- 50:45Speaker 25: first one texting you, Hey, can we work on X?
- 50:47Speaker 19: You know?
- 50:48Speaker 25: And so that's what greatness looks like. That's when I say, like,
- 50:52Speaker 25: I want you to chase greatness. That's what that looks like.
- 50:54Speaker 25: And so excited, you know. I think this weekend we
- 50:58Speaker 25: did have some defensive airs. We're we're not on my
- 51:02Speaker 25: BINGO card, so that's something that we're going to have
- 51:04Speaker 25: to address.
- 51:04Speaker 19: And obviously there's some things that we need to tidy.
- 51:08Speaker 25: Up, and really I felt like most of them were
- 51:10Speaker 25: just communication ones.
- 51:11Speaker 19: We had a couple of physical errors, they're going to happen.
- 51:15Speaker 19: But we did have more.
- 51:16Speaker 25: Mental airs than I thought that we should have, so
- 51:18Speaker 25: something that we will obviously keep working on.
- 51:22Speaker 4: A Kaila sort of.
- 51:23Speaker 12: Adela's on her whole injury ed straight and the whole
- 51:26Speaker 12: torn ACL is with this guy, all that stuff. Just
- 51:28Speaker 12: how impressed is it that she's here right later?
- 51:32Speaker 19: Yeah, it's a blessing.
- 51:33Speaker 25: I think, you know, that's how she looks at it,
- 51:35Speaker 25: is that she has this last year, this opportunity to
- 51:39Speaker 25: make the most of it, and she's making the most
- 51:41Speaker 25: of it. You know, That's how I got to live life, though,
- 51:43Speaker 25: Like you're not guaranteed tomorrow. So she's like, hey, let's
- 51:47Speaker 25: get out, let's get after it, let's rock and roll.
- 51:49Speaker 25: You know, I've had four acls. I'm very aware of
- 51:51Speaker 25: what that does to your body. I probably have two
- 51:54Speaker 25: more that are torn.
- 51:54Speaker 19: Again, but I'm too old to deal with it.
- 51:57Speaker 25: But you know, when you get your body in shape
- 52:01Speaker 25: and you're strong and you know, do some things, I
- 52:04Speaker 25: think good things happen.
- 52:05Speaker 19: I mean, Lindsay Vaughn, isn't that her name?
- 52:07Speaker 25: The skier that doesn't have an ACL either, And I
- 52:10Speaker 25: know she crashed, but she didn't crash because of the
- 52:12Speaker 25: acl she took a turn too quick or something.
- 52:15Speaker 19: Right.
- 52:15Speaker 25: Yeah, so I think, you know, it always comes back
- 52:19Speaker 25: to work preparation. That's what it always comes back to.
- 52:21Speaker 25: But she's she's a neat story.
- 52:24Speaker 19: Going back to the chemistry thing.
- 52:26Speaker 12: Just how I guess vital is it therefore, to have
- 52:28Speaker 12: these experiences of going on the road to Florida, California, plains, buses, hotels,
- 52:33Speaker 12: stuff like that for the girl's early mesh.
- 52:35Speaker 25: Yeah, every level that I've coached, I've coached anywhere from
- 52:38Speaker 25: fourteen and under, you know, obviously to this level. Even
- 52:42Speaker 25: you know with USA Softball, they all talk about the
- 52:45Speaker 25: first road trip like that's where we bond, that's where
- 52:48Speaker 25: things get together. So for me, it's important that we
- 52:50Speaker 25: get on the road quickly because I want them to
- 52:53Speaker 25: experience that and just the different like how the days
- 52:57Speaker 25: set up and how it runs, and it's just a
- 53:00Speaker 25: lot more connectivity, I.
- 53:02Speaker 19: Would say, with your teammates on the road.
- 53:03Speaker 25: When you're here, you have your own space, your own people,
- 53:06Speaker 25: your own routine. When you're on the road, we do
- 53:09Speaker 25: almost everything you know together. So for me, it's important
- 53:13Speaker 25: to get on the road quickly see what it looks
- 53:15Speaker 25: like and feels like and go from there.
- 53:18Speaker 24: And that being said, you've said several times you thrive
- 53:21Speaker 24: on being the underdog, but in these five games this week,
- 53:24Speaker 24: you're going to be the higher rant.
- 53:25Speaker 12: You're going to be the.
- 53:26Speaker 24: One that coaches are going to tell their teams, Hey,
- 53:28Speaker 24: if we be in A and M.
- 53:29Speaker 22: Yeah, So how do you handle that role?
- 53:31Speaker 25: Oh?
- 53:31Speaker 19: I always find ways to be the underdog. Yeah. I
- 53:35Speaker 19: feel like I live life with the chip on my shoulder.
- 53:37Speaker 25: So I think there's always ways, and you know, we
- 53:40Speaker 25: still have last year as a really large chip on
- 53:43Speaker 25: our shoulder, so that will always.
- 53:46Speaker 19: You know, drive us. But I think the other part
- 53:49Speaker 19: of this is.
- 53:49Speaker 25: We also have to learn, and this is something again
- 53:53Speaker 25: referring back to last year, as how to play or
- 53:58Speaker 25: go into games as the top, you know, the higher
- 54:02Speaker 25: ranked team, and what does that look like? How do
- 54:04Speaker 25: you play with people always chasing you? So I think
- 54:06Speaker 25: when we took over this program, we were always the chaser,
- 54:10Speaker 25: and now we are being chased and that's a different conversation.
- 54:14Speaker 25: And so that's something that I have to work really
- 54:17Speaker 25: hard with our group of what that looks like.
- 54:19Speaker 19: And feels like.
- 54:20Speaker 25: And really it's the same thing like go out and execute.
- 54:24Speaker 25: It's not you know, it's not rocket science. But I
- 54:26Speaker 25: find ways that somebody does something that I'm going to
- 54:28Speaker 25: have half on my own staff. He finds something that
- 54:31Speaker 25: you know, they've done us wrong.
- 54:33Speaker 24: What about no Taylor Brown, I guess you know, you
- 54:35Speaker 24: talked about pitches going in and just we didn't see
- 54:38Speaker 24: her and a price should ask on Sunday, but he's
- 54:40Speaker 24: too all right in the morning.
- 54:42Speaker 19: And see, so I felt that.
- 54:44Speaker 25: I feel like, you know, I feel like it's not
- 54:47Speaker 25: the right opportunity came.
- 54:48Speaker 19: Up for her.
- 54:48Speaker 25: You know, she's gonna throw some live to our hitters tomorrow.
- 54:52Speaker 19: I want to keep her fresh. You know, there was
- 54:55Speaker 19: you know, I really.
- 54:55Speaker 25: Wanted to get Taylor Panell honestly in that Tech game,
- 54:58Speaker 25: and it just you know, I'm a girl, you know this,
- 55:01Speaker 25: and I'm always going to look out for the best
- 55:04Speaker 25: thing for our program. And so now we still have
- 55:06Speaker 25: her in our back pocket and they haven't seen her.
- 55:08Speaker 25: So there's some good and bad with that. So I
- 55:11Speaker 25: think with Taylor, she'll get some opportunities this year, and
- 55:14Speaker 25: you know, obviously this week and just didn't pan out.
