- 0:01Speaker 1: Good morning, good morning, good morning, and welcome, welcome, welcome.
- 0:04Speaker 1: It's a Friday version of car Talk. Brad Dungeons is
- 0:07Speaker 1: in with us.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Hi Brad, good morning Tom. Longtime no see, Yeah, I
- 0:11Speaker 2: know it. That was fun.
- 0:13Speaker 3: Yesterday giving away all those prizes and yeah, we were
- 0:16Speaker 3: proud to be a part of that again this year.
- 0:18Speaker 3: The prize winner pro prize hopefully will be in soon
- 0:24Speaker 3: to help start. I wouldn't help her start taking advantage
- 0:26Speaker 3: of all those great, great services that she won.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Oh wonderful.
- 0:31Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a busy time of year. We were a
- 0:33Speaker 3: couple of nights ago. I was out at Woolla Rock
- 0:35Speaker 3: for the members Christmas party. That was the largest thing
- 0:39Speaker 3: I've ever I mean, we were in the museum and
- 0:42Speaker 3: the big big room there with all the paintings around us,
- 0:46Speaker 3: and it was, you know, compared to the old Christmas
- 0:50Speaker 3: parties twenty years or so years ago. It was packed,
- 0:54Speaker 3: huge crowd and very inspirational.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Really it was.
- 0:58Speaker 3: It was really neat to hear some of the stories
- 1:01Speaker 3: of the speakers, and it reminded me of going out
- 1:04Speaker 3: there as a young person and seeing those those pictures.
- 1:08Speaker 2: How exciting they were when when you were young and you're.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Looking at those massive paintings of the we had the
- 1:16Speaker 3: beautiful place. It is a beautiful place and a lovely
- 1:21Speaker 3: asset for our community. And my friend George hockey Itis
- 1:24Speaker 3: is here with me today.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Say hi, Jordan, Hi, I'm glad to be here. Welcome.
- 1:29Speaker 2: We're glad to have you here.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Appreciate all your your community work and we have a
- 1:35Speaker 3: I know you're involved in the friends. Indeed, free Christmas
- 1:37Speaker 3: Day Dinner once again this year. It's a really cool
- 1:42Speaker 3: event in Bartlesville where everybody is welcome to hunt, come
- 1:45Speaker 3: have Christmas dinner.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Absolutely. Yeah. Again this a twenty first year and years awesome. Yeah.
- 1:53Speaker 4: And it's from eleven thirty to two thirty on Christmas
- 1:59Speaker 4: Day at Adams Boulevard Church of Christ. Everyone is as
- 2:04Speaker 4: you said, everyone is welcome, you know, and we invite
- 2:08Speaker 4: everybody to come out and if they can't make it,
- 2:12Speaker 4: they can call and we'll deliver them a me or
- 2:16Speaker 4: if they need a ride, we'll provide transportation. So it's
- 2:21Speaker 4: you know, we don't want anyone, don't want.
- 2:24Speaker 2: You to be alone or left out not having a
- 2:26Speaker 2: Christmas Day.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Absolutely, this is that another sign of the great generosity
- 2:31Speaker 3: of our community. How how wonderful Barblesville is. And you
- 2:35Speaker 3: know they have we have such a great lattice work
- 2:39Speaker 3: of support for every everybody in town and all any
- 2:44Speaker 3: need you have.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Pretty much there's somebody there to help you. Yeah.
- 2:48Speaker 4: This Bartleville is just such a wonderful community. I've loved
- 2:53Speaker 4: living here. Yeah, it was. It's a magical place. It
- 2:57Speaker 4: definitely is.
- 2:58Speaker 2: George, you got a mark. There's pretty big. People can't
- 3:01Speaker 2: miss it. If we've never been to the church, go
- 3:04Speaker 2: to the water tanks.
- 3:05Speaker 4: Right exactly, That's exactly it, you know, on the water tanks.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:12Speaker 4: Yeah, you can always find where the Adams Full of
- 3:17Speaker 4: our Church of Christ is if you can't figure out
- 3:20Speaker 4: where the water tanks are.
- 3:22Speaker 2: No, no hot, warm and cold boats. It's right there, exactly.
- 3:29Speaker 5: There's a sign in front also, Yeah, there is a
- 3:32Speaker 5: pretty good size sign. And then you mentioned twenty one
- 3:36Speaker 5: years this has been going on. Obviously this doesn't just
- 3:39Speaker 5: happen spontaneously.
- 3:41Speaker 3: If you're doing cooking all that food and making arrangements
- 3:45Speaker 3: to deliver food and pick people up and all that,
- 3:48Speaker 3: it takes probably hundreds of people, maybe, I guess.
- 3:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:53Speaker 4: We total the day of the event, we have probably
- 3:57Speaker 4: one hundred volunteers and show up and all with smiles
- 4:02Speaker 4: on their faces.
- 4:03Speaker 2: They just love to do it.
- 4:05Speaker 4: And I'll get calls all the time and the people
- 4:09Speaker 4: saying can I help, Can I help?
- 4:11Speaker 5: You know?
- 4:12Speaker 2: And they show up and are there. And by the.
- 4:17Speaker 4: Way, our guests come in, they're seated. It's not a buffet.
- 4:24Speaker 4: They're seated. The meal is served on real china, awesome,
- 4:29Speaker 4: and our volunteers, the guests will fill out them innu
- 4:36Speaker 4: and a volunteer will go get the food for them,
- 4:40Speaker 4: actually get what you want, yeah, and then serve the
- 4:44Speaker 4: meal to them. And so it's a real nice bent
- 4:50Speaker 4: and we're fortunate, like I say, Adams Boulevard Church to
- 4:53Speaker 4: Christ allows us to use their facility and they have
- 4:59Speaker 4: a nice gymnasium set up, twenty seven tables, lots of
- 5:04Speaker 4: room and lots of desserts.
- 5:08Speaker 2: I was going to say, we can't leave that out.
- 5:10Speaker 2: That's something.
- 5:11Speaker 4: And we have turkey and ham, green beans, corn dressing
- 5:19Speaker 4: and gravy, all the fixing, full spread. And in fact
- 5:24Speaker 4: I was there yesterday at the church and Rita Beavers,
- 5:29Speaker 4: who are and her crew that does the cooking. They
- 5:33Speaker 4: were preparing the turkeys already starting I'd taken the turkeys
- 5:38Speaker 4: there the other day.
- 5:40Speaker 2: How many turkeys does it take?
- 5:42Speaker 4: Thirty thirty thirty thirty turkeys and twenty hams. And I'd
- 5:47Speaker 4: taken the turkeys to get them started falling, and took
- 5:50Speaker 4: them earlier in the week to start getting thawed out
- 5:56Speaker 4: and get all the other materials, items and every thing
- 6:00Speaker 4: to the church. So they start getting the you know items,
- 6:04Speaker 4: they're ready to start the cooking.
- 6:07Speaker 3: And it is Christmas Day, so and eleven thirty to
- 6:11Speaker 3: two thirty, that's correct. So I just if you haven't
- 6:15Speaker 3: got plans or don't have a place to go, or
- 6:17Speaker 3: know somebody who might not be sure that they know
- 6:20Speaker 3: about this, and how do they if they need support
- 6:25Speaker 3: like a ride or or can't get out of their
- 6:29Speaker 3: home for whatever reason, how.
- 6:31Speaker 4: Do they get nine one eight nine one four one.
- 6:39Speaker 2: One five two.
- 6:41Speaker 4: Okay, that's nine one eight nine one four one one
- 6:48Speaker 4: five two.
- 6:49Speaker 2: And probably best to do that as soon as you can,
- 6:52Speaker 2: that's correct. Yeah, just so they can call any time.
- 6:56Speaker 4: If someone will land to that phone or they don't answer,
- 7:00Speaker 4: just leave a voicemail and it'll be taken care of.
- 7:04Speaker 3: Is there any other arrangement that's needed? Do you need
- 7:06Speaker 3: to call ahead if you're planning to come, or you
- 7:08Speaker 3: just show up.
- 7:10Speaker 4: Just show up awesome, don't have to don't have to
- 7:13Speaker 4: make any any RSVP, just show up because we're planning to,
- 7:20Speaker 4: like say, down through the years we have served in
- 7:25Speaker 4: the neighborhood, eight hundred to nine hundred meals. That's all
- 7:28Speaker 4: I know that's going to happen. So that's what we're
- 7:31Speaker 4: planning for. And we also whatever we have left over
- 7:38Speaker 4: we take, we're planning to take to Washington County Jail
- 7:44Speaker 4: and to we don't take it, they come pick it up,
- 7:49Speaker 4: a Huska.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Jail and no Water jail.
- 7:52Speaker 4: So we've made arrangements to those three facilities.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Now there's probably a little bit of foods left. Sure, yeah, yeah,
- 8:02Speaker 2: we we cover all that. We plan ahead.
- 8:10Speaker 3: No, I bet you have it down after twenty one years.
- 8:14Speaker 3: It's a it's such a great, like I said, a
- 8:16Speaker 3: great example of the generosity of our community. And thank
- 8:19Speaker 3: you to you and all the volunteers and Rita and
- 8:22Speaker 3: her cooking crew and everybody that's that's doing.
- 8:25Speaker 2: That'd like to say.
- 8:27Speaker 4: It takes an army and adams full of our Church
- 8:30Speaker 4: of Christ.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Everyone involved.
- 8:32Speaker 3: That's great, you know, we we're doing our fifty seventh
- 8:36Speaker 3: anniversary event at the dealership this month for our to
- 8:40Speaker 3: the Toyota store has been in Bartlesville since nineteen sixty
- 8:44Speaker 3: eight and really proud to continue our legacy of giving
- 8:50Speaker 3: at the dealership. So everyone who purchases a vehicle this
- 8:53Speaker 3: year gets to or this month gets to select a
- 8:55Speaker 3: nonprofit in the organization in the community to support and
- 9:00Speaker 3: we'll make a donation in their name. And at the
- 9:03Speaker 3: end of the month, we're going to tally up who
- 9:05Speaker 3: got the most selections and that organization will get a
- 9:09Speaker 3: minimum of twenty five dollars from Dungeus Toyota and it
- 9:13Speaker 3: will be matched by Toyota. So we're really proud of
- 9:17Speaker 3: doing that again. And you could even choose friends indeed
- 9:20Speaker 3: as your selection. That would be a great thing to do.
- 9:25Speaker 3: We've I talied up talied up and our current leader
- 9:29Speaker 3: is one of our previous winners, Hopestone is in the lead.
- 9:33Speaker 3: We've had a lot of activity this month. I think
- 9:36Speaker 3: it does encourage people to get.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Out and we've been very busy this pre Christmas.
- 9:44Speaker 3: As we get into that period after Christmas, it technically
- 9:48Speaker 3: gets really active in the car business as we do
- 9:52Speaker 3: our year end event Sport Toyota Than is also going
- 9:56Speaker 3: on nationwide with great incentives on our toyotas. Uh We've
- 10:00Speaker 3: got one of our probably our best selection and inventory
- 10:04Speaker 3: of vehicles of the year. We've got a great inventory
- 10:09Speaker 3: on the ground, great incentives. They just announced a new
- 10:13Speaker 3: bonus cash on Tundra of additional.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Five hundred dollars and plus all the other.
- 10:19Speaker 3: Incentives, and there's a low interest rate on Tundra. We've
- 10:23Speaker 3: got low interest rate on several of the models. Great
- 10:26Speaker 3: lease deals on toyotas. You know, with the budget conscious
- 10:33Speaker 3: environment we're in right now, theasing's you know, something that
- 10:37Speaker 3: people are considering more. It's a little it's not that
- 10:40Speaker 3: common in our In Oklahoma, we don't only lease about
- 10:45Speaker 3: usually between you know, three or three to five, maybe
- 10:49Speaker 3: ten percent of the vehicles in the state or leased.
- 10:51Speaker 3: Some markets around the country, though leasing is dominates.
- 10:56Speaker 2: I think in.
- 10:58Speaker 3: Particularly near where the manufacturers are a lot of people
- 11:03Speaker 3: are used to this program and can buy through the
- 11:07Speaker 3: manufacturer programs lease their vehicles.
- 11:10Speaker 2: I had a friend who was a dealer.
- 11:12Speaker 3: In Buffalo, New York, and he leased about seventy eighty
- 11:15Speaker 3: percent of his vehicles, but Toyota's leased extremely well because
- 11:20Speaker 3: of their high resale value. They maintain what they call
- 11:25Speaker 3: the residual of on the vehicle, so they don't appreciate
- 11:29Speaker 3: as fast as other brands typically you can, so that
- 11:33Speaker 3: can save you up front on their monthly cost, gives
- 11:37Speaker 3: you a lot of choice in how you You know,
- 11:41Speaker 3: once your lease is done, you never end up in
- 11:45Speaker 3: a position where you don't have equity they call it
- 11:48Speaker 3: in the vehicle, where your vehicle isn't worth as much
- 11:51Speaker 3: as you owe. So if you do it on structure,
- 11:55Speaker 3: you a lease right, you get the right the payment.
- 11:57Speaker 3: The payment you get, you go ahead and estimate the
- 12:00Speaker 3: miles you're going to drive in.
- 12:02Speaker 2: The term of the lease.
- 12:03Speaker 3: At the end of the lease, you have a choice
- 12:05Speaker 3: then of either you can either purchase the vehicle for
- 12:08Speaker 3: the remaining value, or you can turn it back to
- 12:11Speaker 3: the manufacturer.
- 12:12Speaker 2: A lot of times we're going to want it.
- 12:13Speaker 3: We might offer you even more than the manufacturer for
- 12:16Speaker 3: the vehicle, to be honest, because I really do retain
- 12:20Speaker 3: their value really well, and they're great inventory for us
- 12:23Speaker 3: on the used vehicle side, and you know a lot
- 12:26Speaker 3: of people do like to change.
- 12:29Speaker 2: Vehicles every few years. It's not. You can do it.
- 12:33Speaker 2: You know, it can be structured on very low.
- 12:35Speaker 3: Miles or very higher miles, so it really can be
- 12:39Speaker 3: made to fit just about any situation. And our team
- 12:43Speaker 3: can help exploit help you understand that, or really you
- 12:47Speaker 3: can go on our website and do a lot of
- 12:49Speaker 3: the pre planning and understand what I'm talking about. On
- 12:53Speaker 3: our great tool on the website, you can get pick
- 12:58Speaker 3: out your vehicle, estimate your your credit, and then it'll
- 13:03Speaker 3: give you a retail payment if you're financing, and you
- 13:09Speaker 3: can then click a tab and it'll show you the
- 13:11Speaker 3: least payment. You can structure that yourself, however you want,
- 13:16Speaker 3: play with the cash upfront or down payment that you
- 13:19Speaker 3: want to make, and it's really easy to compare what
- 13:23Speaker 3: a lease would save you on a month to month basis,
- 13:26Speaker 3: and and if you need help with that, our team
- 13:30Speaker 3: uses that same tool on the showroom when you're in
- 13:34Speaker 3: there shopping for a vehicle, so it's all consistent with
- 13:39Speaker 3: our simple price and no no hidden fees, no added
- 13:43Speaker 3: stuff on the vehicles.
- 13:44Speaker 2: We don't typically.
- 13:45Speaker 3: Do that none ever, really, and you know that's a
- 13:50Speaker 3: big thing in today's world. A lot of people you
- 13:53Speaker 3: may not you may find out when you get there
- 13:56Speaker 3: it's not what was presented, and that's we just don't
- 13:59Speaker 3: play those games. We're very try to be real, consistent
- 14:02Speaker 3: and transparent can make the vehicle purchase process as easy
- 14:06Speaker 3: as it can be and as fast for you as
- 14:09Speaker 3: possible too. One of the things this tool does is
- 14:13Speaker 3: allow us to really speed things up, answer your questions quicker,
- 14:17Speaker 3: and make it make it a great purchase experience. That's
- 14:21Speaker 3: our goal or our team is noncommissioned, so what you know,
- 14:25Speaker 3: if we it's not they're not trying to make more
- 14:28Speaker 3: money on you to make more money for themselves. They're
- 14:31Speaker 3: motivated to provide you great service. They're rewarded for high
- 14:35Speaker 3: CSI and and uh you know, for taking care of
- 14:39Speaker 3: doing a good job, being professionals at what they do.
- 14:41Speaker 3: It allows them really to be more of an advisor
- 14:44Speaker 3: and a and you know, a consultant in the process
- 14:48Speaker 3: rather than trying to get you to buy something, so
- 14:51Speaker 3: the pressure kind of goes away and and allows us
- 14:54Speaker 3: to really.
- 14:55Speaker 2: Help help you.
- 14:56Speaker 3: That's that's our been our focus through all the way
- 15:01Speaker 3: back to when my grandfather was in town taking.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Care of people and started in Bartlesville nineteen forty one,
- 15:08Speaker 2: so really proud of doing that and it's.
- 15:14Speaker 3: It's just great to be able to continue to do that,
- 15:17Speaker 3: Like I said, fifty seven years with the Yoda now
- 15:19Speaker 3: and proud to have knights On William out there with us.
- 15:24Speaker 2: Or we're moving on.
- 15:25Speaker 3: Into the fourth generation, which is pretty unique and in retail.
- 15:31Speaker 3: You know, I've talked a lot this year about the
- 15:33Speaker 3: changes in the business and we've got you know, we're
- 15:37Speaker 3: real proud to be a single point, family owned business
- 15:41Speaker 3: that just serves our community. That's not We're not a big,
- 15:45Speaker 3: you know, big business and lots of places.
- 15:50Speaker 2: You know, that's just not what that's not why the
- 15:52Speaker 2: gar business started.
- 15:53Speaker 3: If you think back to when my grandfather moved to town,
- 15:56Speaker 3: it was you know, it was pretty simple.
- 15:59Speaker 2: And you know, I like that.
- 16:02Speaker 3: I like the idea of knowing the people that come
- 16:06Speaker 3: in and buy the cars, of knowing my employees. I
- 16:10Speaker 3: love having my office on the showroom and being able
- 16:13Speaker 3: to hear what's going on and kind of go out
- 16:16Speaker 3: and be involved in it. And you know, that's part
- 16:19Speaker 3: of the kind of business we are as a truly family.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Owned Oklahoma family owned and operated very good have.
- 16:25Speaker 3: Those values of our community and that's why we support
- 16:29Speaker 3: things like Friends Indeed and your great program. And again
- 16:35Speaker 3: let's focus on that free Christmas Day dinner.
- 16:39Speaker 2: If you just joined the show on.
- 16:41Speaker 3: Christmas Day, Friends Indeed for twenty one years now, that's
- 16:46Speaker 3: just amazing.
- 16:46Speaker 2: What was the genesis of this? How did it get started?
- 16:51Speaker 4: There were three people that really that I was not
- 16:56Speaker 4: one of them, that's all right. They sat around and said,
- 17:01Speaker 4: you know, we don't want anyone to be home alone
- 17:05Speaker 4: for Christmas, and they just thought of the idea and
- 17:10Speaker 4: they kind of started small. The original dinner they started
- 17:16Speaker 4: and they had the old American Legion Building when there
- 17:19Speaker 4: was an American Legion building. They had it there for
- 17:23Speaker 4: verse three years and that's when I got involved with
- 17:28Speaker 4: the third year. That year, it was kind of humorous
- 17:33Speaker 4: because they had all these roasters. You know, people would
- 17:37Speaker 4: bring their roasters and tried to cook the food. They
- 17:40Speaker 4: were blowing circuit break. It was everything running out of food.
- 17:45Speaker 4: They had to run and buy hot dogs because they
- 17:48Speaker 4: were running out of food. And so that was when
- 17:52Speaker 4: they decided, we have to find another place.
- 17:55Speaker 2: And that's obvious. Yeah, So that's when Adams full of arm. Okay,
- 18:01Speaker 2: so they've been involved for almost twenty years.
- 18:03Speaker 4: Yeah, and they stepped up, and that's if that kind
- 18:08Speaker 4: of grew and grew and grew. And one year we
- 18:13Speaker 4: had an ice storm and we had to move it
- 18:16Speaker 4: from Christmas Day to one day later, and we.
- 18:21Speaker 2: Still had it.
- 18:22Speaker 4: And the only time we actually did not have it
- 18:25Speaker 4: was COVID. Yeah, COVID, so we skipped that. So so you.
- 18:32Speaker 3: Know, we've and once again a free Christmas Day dinner
- 18:36Speaker 3: from eleven thirty to two thirty at Adams Boulevard Church
- 18:40Speaker 3: of Christ near the water Towers. Yep, if you've got
- 18:44Speaker 3: no if you don't have a place to go, or
- 18:47Speaker 3: know somebody who might not have a Christmas dinner plan,
- 18:51Speaker 3: it's an opportunity to join others in our community.
- 18:55Speaker 2: Don't be alone, come on.
- 18:57Speaker 3: Out and just come, just come from eleven thirty to
- 19:00Speaker 3: two thirty and get your your great selection of food.
- 19:05Speaker 3: I mean they've already started preparing it here.
- 19:08Speaker 4: And then you know, if you can have a meal,
- 19:12Speaker 4: and if you need to take one to someone, you
- 19:15Speaker 4: know ta take one with them. You know, we're not
- 19:21Speaker 4: hesitant to to do that. And if you need transportation
- 19:27Speaker 4: or one of them meal delivered nine one eight nine
- 19:30Speaker 4: one four eleven fifty two.
- 19:35Speaker 2: Awesome. Well and it's a great event. George.
- 19:39Speaker 3: I'm so glad you're able to be on the show
- 19:41Speaker 3: again and to help just spread the word about this
- 19:44Speaker 3: event that goes on every year in Bartlesville. And you know,
- 19:47Speaker 3: I want to thank you for all your support of
- 19:49Speaker 3: the community. You've been involved in so many organizations and
- 19:53Speaker 3: fellow rotarian with me our Noon Rotary Club, and that's
- 19:58Speaker 3: really how we got to know each other us and
- 20:00Speaker 3: it's a you know, great rotary does so many great
- 20:03Speaker 3: things that are kind of hide I think in a way.
- 20:06Speaker 3: I mean, people around the world know what it is,
- 20:08Speaker 3: but it's not just a networking opportunity. They do so
- 20:14Speaker 3: much work too. And you're you've been such so important
- 20:19Speaker 3: to our club as being the club secretary for a
- 20:22Speaker 3: long time and recently past that baton. But just proud
- 20:27Speaker 3: to honor you for that and for everything else you
- 20:29Speaker 3: do in the community. It's it's really appreciated by all
- 20:32Speaker 3: of us here and great to know you as a
- 20:37Speaker 3: consider you a friend and somebody that I know is
- 20:41Speaker 3: a great example of leadership in Bartlesville, and thank you.
- 20:46Speaker 3: So it's great, and you know, it is a busy
- 20:50Speaker 3: time of year. We've got Christmas coming up, we have
- 20:53Speaker 3: Toyota th on.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Going on, we got mentioned. I mean, there's events all
- 20:58Speaker 2: the time.
- 20:58Speaker 3: It seems like every night there's something else going on
- 21:01Speaker 3: this time of year.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Yeah, we've got big.
- 21:05Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm going to say about that.
- 21:08Speaker 3: I'm kind of getting excited for Yeah. I think I
- 21:12Speaker 3: will be too. Some of us are headed down there.
- 21:16Speaker 3: I'm a little nervous to play Alabama once again, and
- 21:20Speaker 3: and uh, you know that, Uh, that's never good to
- 21:24Speaker 3: have to play somebody twice that you know, and especially
- 21:29Speaker 3: you know, a team like Alabama that's so talented. But
- 21:33Speaker 3: I know, uh, you know, brenton the guys Reventables. Let's
- 21:37Speaker 3: just say he's a great coach, and I mean what
- 21:40Speaker 3: a leader of men, and he's created a great program.
- 21:44Speaker 3: I think anyone, you know, just kind of stand back
- 21:46Speaker 3: from the the competition and the fan.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Aspect of sports. And I know a lot of people,
- 21:53Speaker 2: you know, root for different teams.
- 21:54Speaker 3: You're a raging cagun I, but there's a you know,
- 21:59Speaker 3: I think Brent has a great program and has been
- 22:02Speaker 3: a great coach, and I think he's a great example
- 22:04Speaker 3: of of you know, in this changing time in college
- 22:08Speaker 3: sports and creating and sticking to the real values of
- 22:12Speaker 3: team and and and teaching uh, leadership and what it
- 22:18Speaker 3: takes to be resilient in life and in sports and
- 22:22Speaker 3: in business.
- 22:24Speaker 2: And any and everything we do. And uh, you know that's.
- 22:28Speaker 3: Anyway, I'd give him a shout out and and good
- 22:31Speaker 3: luck to the Sooners this evening. You know, also I
- 22:35Speaker 3: mentioned the Toyota than incentive's going on.
- 22:37Speaker 2: There's really pretty quick here.
- 22:40Speaker 3: We're going to have our new Toyota RAB four, the
- 22:42Speaker 3: twenty twenty six RAB four is about to hit the
- 22:46Speaker 3: ground early next year.
- 22:48Speaker 2: It's going to be waiting for that.
- 22:50Speaker 3: Yeah, we've had people wanting, We've had people coming and
- 22:57Speaker 3: going to see it and get information on it for
- 22:59Speaker 3: a long time, and now there's starting to get more
- 23:02Speaker 3: out there. The different trim levels and things that Toyota
- 23:05Speaker 3: has done creating really inspiring vehicle. You know, to wrap
- 23:11Speaker 3: four has been last year was the best selling vehicle
- 23:15Speaker 3: in America, and it's been one of to our best
- 23:18Speaker 3: selling Toyota for a long time. But it took the
- 23:21Speaker 3: crown from f one fifty, which is really amazing when
- 23:24Speaker 3: you think about that. But the one fifty had been
- 23:29Speaker 3: the number one vehicle for over forty years, so congratulations
- 23:34Speaker 3: to Toyota on that and with a brand new one
- 23:37Speaker 3: over thirty years of history of the RAP four, this
- 23:40Speaker 3: is probably going to be our best one yet. Lots
- 23:44Speaker 3: of upgrades, lots of new technology. It's going to have
- 23:47Speaker 3: the latest stuff from Toyota. You know, I think you know,
- 23:51Speaker 3: just working with our customers and our sales team, you know,
- 23:56Speaker 3: there's so much neat stuff in the new cars.
- 23:58Speaker 2: Safety stuff. The different power.
- 24:01Speaker 3: Trains give you better fuel economy, but that the safety
- 24:05Speaker 3: stuff is just continues to get better and better and
- 24:09Speaker 3: provide people that you know that that sense of you know,
- 24:14Speaker 3: I'm good on the road with I mean roads, highways
- 24:16Speaker 3: and driving is it can be dangerous and you know
- 24:20Speaker 3: you want to make sure you've got the best technology
- 24:23Speaker 3: in the world. Is the use cards are really designed
- 24:27Speaker 3: to help you drive Toileta's approach to that is really
- 24:30Speaker 3: about making the driving experience better for the driver and
- 24:34Speaker 3: helping you be a better, a safer driver.
- 24:38Speaker 2: But they have all.
- 24:39Speaker 3: Kinds of stuff from collision warning technology can help you
- 24:43Speaker 3: warn you if somebody stops real fast in front of you,
- 24:46Speaker 3: the lane keeping stuff that you know I've driven on
- 24:50Speaker 3: lots of different brands and different vehicles. And you know,
- 24:53Speaker 3: at first it was kind of clunky, how it kind
- 24:55Speaker 3: of shook the steering wheel and made you it was
- 24:58Speaker 3: it was surprised, but now it's not as intrusive. But
- 25:02Speaker 3: it really does help you stay.
- 25:05Speaker 2: In your lane. And and you know.
- 25:07Speaker 3: I think it's it's just outstanding technology. And feel free
- 25:12Speaker 3: to come in and ask questions about that, go for
- 25:15Speaker 3: a test drive. There's no pressure I mentioned at Dunge,
- 25:18Speaker 3: just Toyota.
- 25:19Speaker 2: We'll help you with that.
- 25:21Speaker 3: We continue to get a lot more interest in our
- 25:24Speaker 3: hybrid technology. Hybrids are some people are still pretty traditional
- 25:29Speaker 3: in our part of the world, and with the oil
- 25:31Speaker 3: and gas business as strong as it is here, they
- 25:34Speaker 3: all they want, they think they want a gas engine.
- 25:36Speaker 3: But you know the great thing about hybrid is you
- 25:39Speaker 3: have both the gas engine and the battery system.
- 25:43Speaker 2: Let's ally It has been building hybrid vehicles.
- 25:46Speaker 3: Since the late nineteen nineties, and you know, these batteries
- 25:50Speaker 3: are are extremely reliable. Toyta has a very long warranty
- 25:57Speaker 3: on those vehicles, on those badies, much longer than the
- 26:01Speaker 3: engine itself. And and they do that because they know
- 26:05Speaker 3: they haven't They just know how it's going to operate.
- 26:07Speaker 3: The hybrid system. You can buy plug in hybrids, but
- 26:12Speaker 3: the base hybrid system doesn't need any charging. It's it
- 26:16Speaker 3: just exists with your gasoline engine in the vehicle.
- 26:20Speaker 2: It gives you great power.
- 26:22Speaker 3: Actually a lot of times, you know, the original Prius
- 26:25Speaker 3: was dialed in just for economy and fuel fuel savings. Today,
- 26:30Speaker 3: I mean, the electric engine can kind of bring that
- 26:35Speaker 3: power to the road really fast, and so it can
- 26:37Speaker 3: perform well and save you on fuel economy.
- 26:41Speaker 2: It's great technology and I'd encourage everybody to explore it.
- 26:47Speaker 2: The new Wrap four will have will be all hybrid
- 26:51Speaker 2: and plug in hybrid, so you're going to have both
- 26:54Speaker 2: both selections.
- 26:55Speaker 3: We are selling a few more plug in hybrids these days.
- 26:59Speaker 2: And battery electric vehicles. You know, there's a brand.
- 27:05Speaker 3: New BZ it's what Toyota calls it, which is the
- 27:09Speaker 3: battery electric vehicle. We delivered our second one of those yesterday,
- 27:14Speaker 3: of the brand new model, and it's it's got a
- 27:17Speaker 3: great range, almost three hundred miles on its charge, which
- 27:21Speaker 3: is pretty good and you know for driving around here,
- 27:25Speaker 3: that's that's kind of all you need. So Toyota has
- 27:28Speaker 3: this great, you know plan they've stuck with through all
- 27:32Speaker 3: the changes in the last few years of building all
- 27:37Speaker 3: the power trains. One neat thing on the new Corolla,
- 27:41Speaker 3: which will be out later next year. I believe it's
- 27:45Speaker 3: they're going to have all four power trains, so it'll
- 27:47Speaker 3: have gasoline, the hybrid, the plug.
- 27:50Speaker 2: In hybrid, and the battery electric vehicle. Will be the
- 27:53Speaker 2: first time in the car industry that you can get
- 27:55Speaker 2: all four power trains on one vehicle. Well, and what's
- 28:01Speaker 2: neat is it's Corolla. It's not it's not the high
- 28:04Speaker 2: end vehicle, but.
- 28:05Speaker 3: It's got everything you need. It's the best car. I
- 28:09Speaker 3: still I love a lot of people do well. We've
- 28:14Speaker 3: running out of time. Having a Merry Christmas to everybody.
- 28:17Speaker 3: Go out and get your Christmas dinner.
- 28:19Speaker 2: Call n.
- 28:22Speaker 3: If you need more information on the friends indeed Christmas dinner,
- 28:26Speaker 3: or need a dinner delivered to you, or or want
