- 0:03Speaker 1: Sean Praible with you, joined this morning by Trevor Hurst
- 0:07Speaker 1: and brandingch Shindler from Wilderness Resort. Guys, how are we
- 0:12Speaker 1: doing this morning?
- 0:14Speaker 2: Doing well? How are you doing?
- 0:16Speaker 1: I'm doing great and we've got something really cool going
- 0:20Speaker 1: on at I always call it the wilderness. Is it
- 0:22Speaker 1: okay to call it the wilderness or do we want
- 0:24Speaker 1: to stick with specific Wilderness resort?
- 0:27Speaker 2: You can call it the wilderness.
- 0:28Speaker 3: Yea.
- 0:30Speaker 1: So for a number of years. Just a little fun fact,
- 0:33Speaker 1: my family does our annual Christmas get together at the
- 0:38Speaker 1: resort and it's a great place to bring in all
- 0:40Speaker 1: my siblings. There's families, my parents, everybody gets It's a
- 0:43Speaker 1: really really cool place. And you guys are making things
- 0:45Speaker 1: even cooler. You now have a new feature opening up.
- 0:50Speaker 1: I don't know if we're going to call it an
- 0:51Speaker 1: exposition or Aquavilla Lumina tell us about this, sure certainly.
- 0:58Speaker 2: So, yes, this fall, we have have a new attraction
- 1:01Speaker 2: coming to the resort. It is Acuavi Alumina state of
- 1:06Speaker 2: the art multimedia attraction and basically what this is is
- 1:10Speaker 2: nighttime attraction. It's an enchanted night walk through a canyon
- 1:15Speaker 2: of wonders. It's our takline for it. So we made
- 1:19Speaker 2: a trail just a little over one mile long throughout
- 1:22Speaker 2: our property. There's a beautiful natural canyon kind of the
- 1:26Speaker 2: famous Dells, the Sandstone, and we made a trail through
- 1:30Speaker 2: the canyon. And then we're enhancing it with our partners
- 1:34Speaker 2: in the Project Moment Factory with a bunch of multi
- 1:37Speaker 2: multimedia experiences such as projections onto natural surfaces, lasers, fog machines, lights, sound,
- 1:48Speaker 2: and it's it's really going to be something spectacular when
- 1:53Speaker 2: it's all finished up.
- 1:54Speaker 1: It sounds pretty exciting, and of course it's going to
- 1:56Speaker 1: be opening on October eleventh. Now, is it open to
- 1:58Speaker 1: the general public or hotel hell guests or everyone who's
- 2:02Speaker 1: who's invited to this?
- 2:03Speaker 2: Acavi Alumina is going to be open to everyone, so
- 2:06Speaker 2: hotel guests, general public where it's a state of the
- 2:09Speaker 2: art attraction, so there's not anything like this in the Midwest,
- 2:13Speaker 2: so it should really be great for everyone to come
- 2:16Speaker 2: and enjoy.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Sounds like it'll be a really cool added feature to
- 2:20Speaker 1: wilderness resort. Is it a limited run just running through
- 2:22Speaker 1: through the month, or what's kind of the timeline on that.
- 2:26Speaker 2: It's going to be open year round. No, actually, in
- 2:29Speaker 2: the wintertime when we get some snow, it's going to
- 2:31Speaker 2: really make the lights and lasers and everything kind of
- 2:35Speaker 2: shine a little a little more. We've we've visited uh
- 2:38Speaker 2: A lumni experience in Whistler in Canada in the in
- 2:42Speaker 2: the wintertime, and the technology mixed in with the snow
- 2:46Speaker 2: it really enhances the experience.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Oh, that should be absolutely fantastic. Of course, you can
- 2:51Speaker 1: get more information Wilderness Resort dot com. That's Wilderness Resort
- 2:55Speaker 1: dot com. Let's talk about the resort as a whole.
- 2:58Speaker 1: As I mentioned, we get up there annually, love the place.
- 3:02Speaker 1: One of the things, obviously the biggest features, it's the dell.
- 3:04Speaker 1: So you've got the natural beauty. You've also got the
- 3:07Speaker 1: indoor water parks, four of them, don't you.
- 3:11Speaker 3: Yeah, that's correct. We do have four indoor water parks,
- 3:16Speaker 3: great for all ages. We get something for everyone in
- 3:19Speaker 3: each of the parks, from your small toddler slides to
- 3:22Speaker 3: the more adventure of Raging rap Rise and even the Hurricane,
- 3:27Speaker 3: which is our biggest thrill ride in the Klondike water parks.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Oh, that is awesome. Yeah, four indoor, four outdoor water
- 3:32Speaker 1: parks of course, the Gulf Resort as well. Plenty of
- 3:35Speaker 1: places to stay and Brandon I've got to ask, I've
- 3:38Speaker 1: never stayed in one. Are the treehouse cabins. I've never
- 3:42Speaker 1: stayed in that particular type. Is that a new thing?
- 3:46Speaker 1: And tell us a little bit a little bit about those.
- 3:49Speaker 3: Yeah, there are our newest lodging units. They open last fall,
- 3:54Speaker 3: sleep up to twenty two people and there are five
- 3:57Speaker 3: bedrooms six bathrooms in each unit. They're simply outstanding. They're
- 4:02Speaker 3: tucked right into kind of the backside of one of
- 4:04Speaker 3: the golf holes on our wilderness with short course and
- 4:07Speaker 3: just a great view. There's even a putting green upside
- 4:10Speaker 3: the units for golfers and anyone who might have a
- 4:14Speaker 3: putter along with them to just kind of hang out
- 4:16Speaker 3: in that space and enjoy.
- 4:18Speaker 2: You know.
- 4:18Speaker 1: One of the things I really, I really appreciate about
- 4:21Speaker 1: wilderness is the year round activities. There is obviously, I
- 4:25Speaker 1: think summertime in the dells of course, and we talked
- 4:28Speaker 1: about the outdoor water parks and the golf and other things,
- 4:30Speaker 1: but even in the in the winter months, and again
- 4:33Speaker 1: we go in the winter typically and on those those
- 4:36Speaker 1: cool cold night snow coming down the resorts, the cabins,
- 4:40Speaker 1: they're all built so cool, so like get like outdoor
- 4:42Speaker 1: fireplaces and just really comfortable things. You guys do a
- 4:46Speaker 1: really nice job on that. And I'm guessing that that's
- 4:48Speaker 1: part of what you know, as we talk about this
- 4:50Speaker 1: new new attraction coming with this aquavill Alumina, A big
- 4:54Speaker 1: part of it is is not only is it, you know,
- 4:57Speaker 1: a fun place to get away, You're always adding new things,
- 5:00Speaker 1: are always adding more making it more of an experience
- 5:02Speaker 1: year round.
- 5:04Speaker 3: Yeah, with that question, you know, the Dells has over
- 5:08Speaker 3: time become a much more year round destination and we
- 5:11Speaker 3: certainly want to fit into that mold. And you know,
- 5:13Speaker 3: if you're not changing, your risking falling behind. So we're
- 5:18Speaker 3: constantly looking to innovate and add new things and keep
- 5:20Speaker 3: things frush for our guests coming back.
