- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, hey, so glad you're listening to the Stuck no More podcast.
- 0:03Speaker 1: This podcast is brought to you by StuckNoMoreProfitscom forward slash start.
- 0:10Speaker 1: It's where you can begin having some Christian fellowship, where they're not afraid to talk about faith and business.
- 0:17Speaker 1: Which brings me to my guest, Meadow Faith.
- 0:21Speaker 1: Please will you help me?
- 0:22Speaker 1: Welcome.
- 0:22Speaker 1: I wore red for this interview because I know there's going to be fire in the house.
- 0:26Speaker 1: Okay, Meadow was shy.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Okay, Listen, she didn't give me her bio, so I asked her at GPT.
- 0:34Speaker 1: So hear me out, Let me just have some fun with this.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Oops, where'd it go?
- 0:37Speaker 1: Okay, here we go.
- 0:38Speaker 1: In this episode of the Stuck no More podcast, we're joined by Meadow Faith, a coach who once felt stuck in the tension between her passion for coaching and the struggle of sales.
- 0:49Speaker 1: But her story didn't end there.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Meadow shares how fully embracing her faith and surrendering her own business led to a different breakthrough.
- 0:58Speaker 1: So you know, I mean I don't have to read anymore because you're right here.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Hello Teresa, you are amazing.
- 1:06Speaker 2: I just have to give you a shout out first.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Oh, you're so cool.
- 1:10Speaker 1: You know, once again, I always like to share how I met my guests, and once again, michelle Tufford coming to the plate with her.
- 1:19Speaker 1: I don't even want to call it a Facebook group, but it's 31K plus and it's all Christian women.
- 1:27Speaker 1: And was it a network event?
- 1:30Speaker 1: You came swooping in or the mastermind?
- 1:32Speaker 1: Michelle also has a very reasonable price.
- 1:37Speaker 1: Mastermind and yes, I am plugging my friend Michelle Go to stacknomoreprofitscom forward slash start and that'll give you a chance of a free entry in there where you can experience some connection.
- 1:47Speaker 1: So, madeline, thank you for being here, my pleasure.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Girls like I can go in a nutshell do tell, tell them what you do, just like in a little recap.
- 1:58Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Well, I'm an online business coach.
- 2:00Speaker 2: I help coaches and service providers not only sell their programs with integrity, but just figure out this whole online business thing, because that's what I had to do.
- 2:08Speaker 2: I had to figure it out, going from like zero awareness, zero education in it, to mastering it, building a multiple six figure business.
- 2:18Speaker 2: So, yeah, so that's what I help my people do now is you know, help?
- 2:23Speaker 2: Them focus on the right thing and start getting into profit, Because without profit, I mean it's a hobby.
- 2:31Speaker 1: You know what I mean.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Like we got to have profit.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Who wants to do all this time for a hobby?
- 2:36Speaker 1: You know.
- 2:38Speaker 1: So when you were like, let me ask you a question I love to ask when you were a kid, what did you like to do when you played?
- 2:46Speaker 2: Played.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Oh, I like to.
- 2:48Speaker 2: I was very orderly.
- 2:51Speaker 2: I had a lot of my little ponies.
- 2:53Speaker 2: And I like to like line them all up and put outfits on them and have them be living their best lives ever, which is what I still do today.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Their best lives ever, which is what I still do today.
- 3:08Speaker 1: I truly believe, I love asking this question because I truly believe you can find threads to your voice, threads to your identity.
- 3:12Speaker 1: But what you like to do when you were a kid?
- 3:15Speaker 1: Do you know what I like to do?
- 3:16Speaker 2: Tell me.
- 3:17Speaker 1: I was like seven, we lived in this house with massive steps to the top and I'd climb those steps and I'd get up to the top and I look out and there's a crowd as big as Billy Graham and I preach.
- 3:28Speaker 1: I was Catholic, I didn't want to be a priest, I just wanted to speak.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Wow, that's amazing.
- 3:35Speaker 1: And then we moved and there wasn't steps but I found an apple cart, got on top of that apple cart and preached to the birds, the bees and apple trees.
- 3:52Speaker 2: And now I'm on Apple products.
- 3:52Speaker 2: We're on iMac, iphone, ipad, macbook Pro.
- 3:53Speaker 2: So that's why I love to ask that question.
- 3:54Speaker 2: That's such a great question.
- 3:55Speaker 2: That is so telling, isn't it?
- 3:55Speaker 2: It's so telling, it's very.
- 3:56Speaker 2: If you can answer that question, you will identify immediately what you can do well today as an adult.
- 4:03Speaker 1: And I think a lot of people get out of the womb.
- 4:04Speaker 1: They love me, love me and they go about their thing.
- 4:07Speaker 1: And then life happens and they forget or they think the dream is dead and that's where restoring their vote.
- 4:16Speaker 1: So how much of that mental stuff do you do with your clients before you get them in position for six figures?
- 4:23Speaker 2: You know I actually don't do a lot of mindset these days.
- 4:27Speaker 2: I'm a strategist and I teach them a system.
- 4:31Speaker 2: So it's really helpful for the clients that I take on and I really only take on select people that I know will be able to follow my process Right Because it's really it's for a unique person, it's for the person who already is confident in their abilities and they just need the how to.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Exactly, and a little bit of boost, you know, a little bit of bit of push you off the cliff type of support, Like just go do it, that's me.
- 4:58Speaker 2: That's how I coach.
- 5:00Speaker 1: And that's probably good, because if you tried, if you get too spread thin, then you're targeted to what you're really meant to do and to be.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Do you agree with that?
- 5:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, you're looking for the clients that they're biting at the bit.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Just give me the raceway and I'm going to race.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Go ahead Because it's important to me that they're successful.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Amen Because it's important to me that they're successful.
- 5:25Speaker 2: So I just had to, through trial and error, figure out that the people who will be successful with what I teach they've already done the mindset work.
- 5:32Speaker 2: They're already confident in their abilities to help other people.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:36Speaker 1: So I took you back to childhood.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Now take me back to, I guess I would say, really discovering your passion and your voice and lining it up to coaching.
- 5:47Speaker 1: I know everyone's got a story that's going to impact someone.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Sorry my cat, he wants to join.
- 5:55Speaker 1: I finally had to train him because he wanted to be like right here, anyway.
- 5:59Speaker 2: so my dog is right next to me.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Okay, so you get that he's upset that he's not talking to you, so he scratches the grass.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Yes, yes.
- 6:09Speaker 1: So like what was the journey?
- 6:11Speaker 1: Because I believe inside your story is breakthrough for someone else.
- 6:15Speaker 1: You get breakthrough.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Yeah, it's not just meant for you, but God puts something extra to what you think is ordinary and it becomes an extraordinary solution for people's pain points.
- 6:25Speaker 1: So where was your extraordinary come?
- 6:29Speaker 1: What was the story behind your passion and what you're doing now?
- 6:33Speaker 2: Yeah, you know what?
- 6:34Speaker 2: It's never been a um, a process that was wrapped up in a bow, like.
- 6:40Speaker 2: My journey has always been following a breadcrumb, one breadcrumb at a time.
- 6:45Speaker 2: I've never been able to see the whole path.
- 6:48Speaker 2: I have no idea what's coming next.
- 6:50Speaker 2: I mean, I have skills that I've acquired up until this point, but you know, the whole thing has just been like an unfolding.
- 6:58Speaker 2: So that's why I really cling to God to to help me as being an entrepreneur, because I can't see the whole picture and I don't even want to try anymore.
- 7:10Speaker 2: You know, the way I started this whole thing was like I was an entrepreneur as a little kid.
- 7:14Speaker 2: I just really was like I never worked for somebody else.
- 7:18Speaker 2: I was terrible.
- 7:19Speaker 2: I was a terrible employee.
- 7:20Speaker 2: I just had too many opinions that things could work better and you know.
- 7:28Speaker 2: So I just had to start working for myself and, honestly, my very first um gig was I was like 16 and I was um designing these, these dresses and selling them at festivals and things you know, yeah.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Yeah, I was such a little entrepreneur even back then.
- 7:49Speaker 1: But I became a coach later in life.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Okay.
- 7:52Speaker 2: I wasn't confident in it was something to do.
- 7:56Speaker 2: It as a full-time profession didn't seem possible to me.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Okay, and I had owned four different brick-and-mortar studios.
- 8:04Speaker 1: Wow.
- 8:05Speaker 2: And I was doing, you know, massage work I was doing.
- 8:08Speaker 2: This was before I became a Christian, so I was doing a lot of meditation and helping people work on their mindset.
- 8:16Speaker 1: I guess we can call it that you know and doing a lot of like healing arts.
- 8:22Speaker 2: Yeah, and I had a friend and he just said you know what you really need to coach.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Like you're just a really good coach, like why don't you do this full time and and so that was, you know, I think eight years ago or something.
- 8:35Speaker 2: I just had to follow the breadcrumbs.
- 8:39Speaker 1: I love when you said follow the breadcrumbs, because I think someone can get started and a lot of times they get information overload.
- 8:49Speaker 1: They think they've got to know it all, but you don't have to recreate the wheel and when you follow the breadcrumbs you eventually follow the wheel for your particular thing.
- 8:57Speaker 1: Also, I love how you said this that your relationship with God played a key role in you being the coach of who you are.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Share a little bit about that.
- 9:09Speaker 2: Gosh.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Well, I just know that.
- 9:18Speaker 2: You know I'm a, I'm just a little.
- 9:20Speaker 2: I'm just here to play a role.
- 9:23Speaker 2: I don't exactly know what the, if the full role is other than just to be of service to the people like to be here in this moment, right To be of service in this conversation.
- 9:33Speaker 2: So I just try to show up.
- 9:35Speaker 2: For who can I be of service to in this moment?
- 9:38Speaker 2: How can I be useful?
- 9:39Speaker 2: You know, I just pray God like divorce me from my ego, because I have a big ego.
- 9:44Speaker 2: I got to keep it in check, you know, and stay humble, stay coachable, stay, just stay like servant minded.
- 9:51Speaker 2: So I think, just turning my life over to God, you know you take care of this.
- 9:58Speaker 2: I don't know where my next client come from, I don't know what the next step is going to be, but you do, god.
- 10:03Speaker 1: I don't know what the next step is going to be, but you do, god.
- 10:06Speaker 1: You know, in that ego term we were talking about pride, but ego can keep someone from showing up like in the sense of, well, I don't have my act together or my hair is bad.
- 10:16Speaker 1: I always I said in 2008, I never let a bad hair day keep me from doing what God called me on camera, so there could be ego in that regards.
- 10:24Speaker 1: One thing about your relationship with God.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Tell me if this isn't true.
- 10:28Speaker 1: I remember years ago I was having my quiet time and I'd get all these great marketing ideas and I'd push them away until I heard Bill Johnson at Reading said if you're having your time with your father and he's giving you ideas, duh, write some of them down.
- 10:45Speaker 1: So I think if I didn't have my relationship with god, I don't know where I'd be in many ways uh, losing a husband and being in an abusive relationship, but keeping the dream alive.
- 10:58Speaker 1: If you want to, if you feel like you've lost your dream, rekindle it in the presence of the father, or listen to the vine dresser and he'll, he'll, he'll rekindle it.
- 11:06Speaker 1: So I think that's your good example.
- 11:08Speaker 1: And you know, new age is just so close, but just so far, right right, and it's really easy to get caught in that.
- 11:16Speaker 1: So, um, especially in the world of marketing, you might see a little new age, but once you become a Christian, you kind of zone in on it.
- 11:25Speaker 1: That's not from God.
- 11:26Speaker 1: So let me let me think about, let me let me ask you this, if you can give us I know you have like a boarding call.
- 11:34Speaker 1: You're good, you got it.
- 11:35Speaker 1: It's like it's almost like a boarding call because you're deciding if you're going to work with them.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Correct, it's not necessarily a boarding call, it's not like you're really.
- 11:46Speaker 1: It's really just as more for you to see.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Do I want to work with this person?
- 11:49Speaker 1: So what?
- 11:50Speaker 1: What's the process from boarding call to you landing them, to you start training them?
- 11:56Speaker 2: Yeah, it's pretty simple.
- 11:57Speaker 2: Um, they just go onto my website and they, you know, fill out a tiny bit of information and then I have a free call with them and I ask them questions that help me to really ascertain can I help them?
- 12:08Speaker 2: So that's really what I'm doing is looking for.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Do you have a problem I can solve?
- 12:14Speaker 2: Because I'm not going to sell you something that isn't going to help you achieve a result that I can do.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I love that and I like also that you said I'm not going to sell them.
- 12:26Speaker 1: I think if people just realize the number one key in marketing is called attraction marketing, where you're trying to find a way for them to get to know you Like I loved your reel the other day.
- 12:37Speaker 1: You were dancing Cause you know you're, you had testimonies.
- 12:40Speaker 1: That is attraction marketing.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Meadow's not going.
- 12:44Speaker 1: Look what my client did.
- 12:46Speaker 1: You need to sign up with me.
- 12:47Speaker 1: No, she's just attraction marketing and I think that's what drew me to you, because you really did attraction marketing well and I have a heart for people who are so trying to sell their programs, their products and they just slobber.
- 13:02Speaker 1: You almost want to wipe the screen because they're just slobbering over about their program and that's all they talk about.
- 13:07Speaker 1: I mean, there's a time and a place, but anyway, I got off the track.
- 13:11Speaker 1: But so let's say I'm going to, I'm going to be, I'm going to be your budding new client and I really want to go into coaching and what would be some of the first steps you would have me work through?
- 13:31Speaker 2: Yeah, so I actually don't work with people who are brand new to coaching.
- 13:33Speaker 2: So I work with people who are already established in coaching and they already know that they have a method that can help people.
- 13:40Speaker 2: They have a general sense of what they're selling.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Nice.
- 13:45Speaker 2: And they're willing to learn a step-by-step process.
- 13:49Speaker 2: That's smart, yeah, so I don't work with people who have zero certification, zero training and they're just brand brand new.
- 13:57Speaker 2: That wouldn't be somebody that I could really help.
- 14:01Speaker 1: That's a tough field.
- 14:02Speaker 1: There's the mental and the tough field there mean there's a time and a place for that person and then well, there's other coaches and there's other trainings that really support them.
- 14:13Speaker 1: So what I like it?
- 14:20Speaker 1: Is you really?
- 14:20Speaker 2: know your niche, you really know who you're serving.
- 14:24Speaker 1: It's taken years.
- 14:25Speaker 1: Isn't that the wonderful part?
- 14:26Speaker 1: Isn't that?
- 14:27Speaker 1: The breadcrumbs like I like how you said god, just show me the whole picture.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Yeah, well, he wants to me.
- 14:33Speaker 1: God says uh, I want you to serve from your scars, not your wounds.
- 14:38Speaker 1: So you've got some work here we need to continue to do before you open your mouth.
- 14:43Speaker 1: In coaching I said I get, I'm all for that.
- 14:46Speaker 1: So let me ask you something kind of controversial.
- 14:49Speaker 1: Do you use TikTok?
- 14:53Speaker 1: I don't.
- 14:54Speaker 1: Good God bless you.
- 14:58Speaker 2: You know I got to tell you this story because I think it's going to be it might help somebody that when I started my online business in 20, late 2020, I had no idea what I was doing.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Um, I bought my first course and I immediately started implementing what they they were teaching and and uh, and I kind of launched my business and the way I did it was I started with a Facebook group good.
- 15:22Speaker 2: I started.
- 15:22Speaker 2: I started a small Facebook group.
- 15:23Speaker 2: I think I had around 100 people.
- 15:24Speaker 2: Yeah and um.
- 15:24Speaker 2: I started.
- 15:24Speaker 2: I started a small Facebook group.
- 15:25Speaker 2: I think I had around a hundred people.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Yeah and um.
- 15:26Speaker 2: I started doing tons of free trainings, like a weekly free training, and um, that's how I hit my first.
- 15:33Speaker 1: You know six figures really, that's awesome, because I did coach back in 2018, 19, up until my husband got burned and then had cancer and I was trying to teach him how to find their voice, share their voice and market your voice.
- 15:51Speaker 1: And I got to the market and my husband was in a burn barrel fire and I dropped it, but it wasn't like I oh, I dropped my business, but that's what I used.
- 16:01Speaker 1: I used a Facebook group.
- 16:02Speaker 1: I also used someone can think of this what are you known for?
- 16:06Speaker 1: In your writing, I was how I survived and fought for.
- 16:10Speaker 1: My voice was I would just be in my time with God and I'd hear this vine dresser voice.
- 16:16Speaker 1: I couldn't conjure them up and so I started sharing them.
- 16:19Speaker 1: So then, when it came time to open up my group, they all flooded in because I was known for the vine dresser.
- 16:25Speaker 1: So a lot of times you can be known for something I mean they are not.
- 16:29Speaker 1: I mean I'm not putting any pressure on anyone listening, but I think this is what I'm saying that it's out of the overflow of your relationship with God comes the true wine that people need to drink for healing or for for advice or for coaching.
- 16:46Speaker 1: So I guess I'm just talking over you and saying we got you know we're in part of a no more dry ground uh.
- 16:55Speaker 1: Group and that's the whole thing.
- 16:57Speaker 1: Is you got to come from the overflow?
- 16:59Speaker 1: So, speaking of no longer, no longer whatever that word is themind you're going to be teaching?
- 17:06Speaker 1: This has got to get you into the mastermind guys.
- 17:09Speaker 1: Tell them what you're.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Are you teaching it inside no More Dry Ground, no.
- 17:15Speaker 2: No, I'm not necessarily teaching, I'm just doing like a guest speaking class.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Okay, Okay, okay, I thought you were going to, so you do have something I know coming up, though.
- 17:27Speaker 2: Yeah, tomorrow we're going to be in uh.
- 17:30Speaker 2: For those of you who follow Michelle Tufford and you're in her gigantic uh Facebook group, I'll be doing a, a you know, an interview slash training with her tomorrow when did I see you inside the mastermind that I thought you were doing a program.
- 17:47Speaker 1: Sorry, we're just talking.
- 17:48Speaker 2: Guys, just bear with us that's okay, I think probably because those two groups, uh, maybe overlap.
- 17:54Speaker 2: I don't know, I don't know let me ask you this question.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Yes, I have such a passion for community.
- 18:00Speaker 1: How important is community to you?
- 18:04Speaker 2: You know I have an interesting relationship with community because I am an autistic person.
- 18:09Speaker 2: I really value a lot of alone time and I need that.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 18:14Speaker 2: I need that to decompress.
- 18:15Speaker 2: I need that to hear God's voice.
- 18:16Speaker 2: I need that to get the downloads of the systems that I'm going to teach other people.
- 18:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 18:23Speaker 2: At the same time, without community, I become a robot.
- 18:26Speaker 2: You know, I just get too self-centered too in my own head and I really need the feedback from other humans.
- 18:36Speaker 2: I need to hear what you're going through so I can get out of my own selfishness and self-centeredness and start to think about you, and that just helps me immensely.
- 18:45Speaker 2: So it's really a dance for me.
- 18:47Speaker 2: It's not like I'm not a extrovert, I'm definitely an ambivert.
- 18:51Speaker 2: So I need, like, a lot of space, but without other humans you know I turn into Spock pretty quick.
- 19:03Speaker 2: I just start Spocking out, you know like psychological and it's not good.
- 19:10Speaker 1: I think there's such a hunger for a safe place online for community, where the sparks are tamed down.
- 19:18Speaker 1: They're just coming to get their uniform off.
- 19:21Speaker 1: But I have such a passion for community, probably because I didn't have a lot of it with my marriage for community, probably because I didn't have a lot of it with my marriage, and it's kind of like you got to find and fight for friends who will celebrate you and not just tolerate you.
- 19:36Speaker 1: I love there's a line to this song, meadow.
- 19:39Speaker 1: I can't remember the artist, but it's just simply this Stay close to the people who feel like sunshine.
- 19:44Speaker 1: And I could add a line Stay close to the people who feel like Jesus with skin on.
- 19:50Speaker 1: So I think in community, I think the biggest thing is you can realize you're not alone.
- 19:55Speaker 1: You can see other people having some of the same struggles.
- 19:57Speaker 1: You can find connections through it, like Michelle Tufford.
- 20:03Speaker 1: Michelle, we love you.
- 20:04Speaker 1: Obviously she has.
- 20:05Speaker 1: Is it every week?
- 20:07Speaker 1: Either 8 pm or 11 two or 11 AM who cares what time, cause we're all on different time zones.
- 20:11Speaker 1: She would gather a group we all gathered in, like you know, but boom, she shuffles the cards and we're one-on-one with people for like eight minutes.
- 20:20Speaker 1: Yeah, that's free networking and I, like I so enjoy that because getting to talk to just one person is great and then find out about them and they make great podcast hosts, podcast guests too.
- 20:32Speaker 1: When you're like, oh, I don't want to speak to you so, but that's just no, you're like that's unheard of.
- 20:41Speaker 1: No, it's not unheard of, and that's I mean if someone's listening and they're plugging along in their business, but they know they need some help.
- 20:49Speaker 1: I'm just all for.
- 20:51Speaker 1: I'm all for serving you and getting you in community.
- 20:55Speaker 1: So we are both the members, we're both a member of her mastermind.
- 20:59Speaker 1: We're not here to plug Michelle, because Michelle would say, hey, I'm just a vessel and we're just extending that vessel.
- 21:06Speaker 1: Because imagine, imagine if you well, if you already kind of answered this, but to me trying to go alone as an entrepreneur, it's a lonely road.
- 21:20Speaker 2: Do you agree?
- 21:20Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, yeah, 100%.
- 21:22Speaker 2: I mean we definitely need each other.
- 21:24Speaker 2: That's how we learn about each other, that's how we multiply our network.
- 21:29Speaker 2: I mean most of pretty much like all my clients have come through a friend of a friend or so you know, I really love working only with people that I get to know.
- 21:40Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:41Speaker 2: You know it.
- 21:41Speaker 2: Just it just helps a lot.
- 21:42Speaker 2: And I want to say this that one of the things that I love about you so much, and why I know you're just like my person, one of my people is your, your authenticity.
- 21:53Speaker 2: You're so authentic and you're just like you're like.
- 21:55Speaker 2: This is me take it or leave it, and you're very unique.
- 21:59Speaker 2: There's no one like you and I think that's just such a that's so.
- 22:03Speaker 2: It's so good.
- 22:04Speaker 2: It's so good to see that that you stand out in a sea of homogenization, you know, in a sea of people everybody trying to look the same, and you're just like nope, and I love that about you well, I'll tell you, it comes from the drama, the trauma, totally yeah, we're not willing to compromise the misery is our destiny.
- 22:27Speaker 1: The anguish of the mess becomes our messes.
- 22:30Speaker 1: But you know what?
- 22:31Speaker 1: I thought about something my business coach, who's also my mental coach.
- 22:37Speaker 1: I feel like I'm late.
- 22:39Speaker 1: I'm 61 years old, okay, and I've gone through 26 years of really rough just now getting together with my kids, and I'm like I have to to.
- 22:48Speaker 1: You know what?
- 22:49Speaker 1: What do you do when you fight regret?
- 22:50Speaker 1: Okay, here you're, you're interviewing me and I think, I think a lot of people that I talk to are over 50.
- 22:58Speaker 1: The kids are gone, they're tired of the job.
- 23:02Speaker 1: Do you get many?
- 23:04Speaker 1: I mean, they want to start over, and oftentimes starting over is finding who, really who you are.
- 23:11Speaker 1: You're not a mom anymore.
- 23:12Speaker 1: That's not your identity.
- 23:13Speaker 1: You're not a worker at Joe's.
- 23:15Speaker 1: Whatever you got to find yourself, and it's in the world of coaching.
- 23:21Speaker 1: I know you have different coaches, but do you see that more coaches are arising in that area?
- 23:27Speaker 1: Or can you get a?
- 23:28Speaker 1: Do you got a view of the landscape?
- 23:30Speaker 1: You know, I don't look around.
- 23:32Speaker 1: It's wise.
- 23:36Speaker 2: I stay in my lane and I just I really love serving people over 40, though that's you know, I really prefer honestly to work with people who are over 40.
- 23:47Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like we've had our butts kicked.
- 23:50Speaker 2: Yeah, we figured out a lot of our identity stuff, yeah, and so, honestly, like, my ideal clients are like 40 to 60, because I love that.
- 24:00Speaker 1: Let's all look around.
- 24:01Speaker 1: You've already.
- 24:03Speaker 1: You've already.
- 24:03Speaker 1: You know stuff together.
- 24:07Speaker 1: Oh gosh, okay, that was so good.
- 24:09Speaker 1: I so appreciate you just hitting me right back because I'm trying to pull stuff out of you, but you're staying.
- 24:14Speaker 1: Do you guys notice that?
- 24:15Speaker 1: She's staying in her own lane?
- 24:17Speaker 1: She's not trying to talk about anything, but i'm's almost like metal You've got.
- 24:27Speaker 1: I'm staying in my lane.
- 24:28Speaker 1: There's value in that y'all.
- 24:30Speaker 1: What do you mean?
- 24:32Speaker 2: Explain that to me.
- 24:33Speaker 2: What does that mean?
- 24:34Speaker 1: You're staying in your own lane.
- 24:35Speaker 1: You're not trying to speculate about any other group, but those people you serve.
- 24:40Speaker 1: And that's the sweet spot when you stay in your own lane.
- 24:43Speaker 1: But can I speak from being 61?
- 24:46Speaker 1: You're probably quite a bit younger than me Not really, not really.
- 24:53Speaker 1: By the time we're 61, we finally realized we've got to stay in our own lane Meaning.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Let me explain Meaning I'm not going to be on TikTok anymore.
- 25:07Speaker 1: It was the valley of the shadow of death.
- 25:09Speaker 1: I had great TikTok methods, I got sales there, but I just wasn't making my heart purr.
- 25:12Speaker 1: It made my heart die.
- 25:13Speaker 1: That's staying in your own lane, even though a program that I'm actually a co-owner in that they teach that and I just have to say, okay, am I going to listen to him, which I adore him?
- 25:23Speaker 1: I almost want to please him, like my father, because my father passed at a young age.
- 25:25Speaker 1: Or am I going to listen to him, which I adore him?
- 25:27Speaker 1: I almost want to please him, like my father, because my father passed at a young age.
- 25:30Speaker 2: Or am.
- 25:30Speaker 1: I going to listen to God and stay in my own lane.
- 25:32Speaker 1: That's what's.
- 25:34Speaker 1: And you really stay in your own lane.
- 25:35Speaker 1: Well, but that's advice for someone listening, maybe someone.
- 25:41Speaker 1: Just this is the only thing you remember.
- 25:43Speaker 1: You got to find your voice and stay in your own lane.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Do you know?
- 25:50Speaker 1: When I say voice, I really I'm really talking about a portion of your, of your identity.
- 25:52Speaker 1: But your, your voice is the unique expression of your identity, your values and your experiences that can impact thousands.
- 26:00Speaker 1: So metal faith you know your voice and your voice is needed mean just the way you're real on social media.
- 26:11Speaker 1: I mean I love that.
- 26:12Speaker 1: You're not like oh, I got so many clients and I'm making six figures twice over.
- 26:17Speaker 1: No, I really appreciate that because there was a time a couple of years ago where I thought I was recovering from my marriage.
- 26:25Speaker 1: I was left homeless but I finally had the freedom to do, which I know is lying in my dna.
- 26:31Speaker 1: So I'm a little late starter because I had to get healing from that.
- 26:33Speaker 1: But I remember I was doing some webinar.
- 26:37Speaker 1: If I said his name, you'd know him and I thought if they say one more time comes up there and says there's a six-figure earner, I'm gonna throw my rock at this tv.
- 26:46Speaker 1: I'm like the word that I just cut.
- 26:48Speaker 1: You know, and so I say that.
- 26:51Speaker 1: To say one, you don't fly, you don't?
- 26:56Speaker 1: You know?
- 26:57Speaker 1: Highfalutin that.
- 26:58Speaker 1: But there is a process to get to where you want to go, and sometimes the beginning point is to stay in your own lane.
- 27:06Speaker 1: Do you know where you start to stay in your own lane?
- 27:09Speaker 1: I'm not.
- 27:10Speaker 1: This is I'm supposed to be interviewing you, but this has got me fired up.
- 27:13Speaker 1: Yeah, can I share with her.
- 27:15Speaker 1: So there's a in England on a old Saxon church there's this inscribing you know it says it says do the next thing.
- 27:26Speaker 1: So for some of you wanting to be a coach or wanting to get into the coaching, you got to do the next thing.
- 27:33Speaker 1: For some of you it's wiping baby butts because you got to get the kids raised.
- 27:37Speaker 1: For me, I had to substitute teach after my husband died.
- 27:41Speaker 1: I needed money, but God said you're not a substitute, you're a secret agent of the kingdom of God.
- 27:48Speaker 1: You love those kids.
- 27:50Speaker 1: So I say that have you had like do the next thing?
- 27:54Speaker 1: Process and to get to where you are today.
- 27:58Speaker 2: A hundred percent.
- 27:59Speaker 2: Yeah, share about that.
- 28:01Speaker 2: I think it'll help someone.
- 28:02Speaker 2: Well, okay, you know, part of my story is that I got sober 12 years ago and I got into 12 step programs and a big part of being in you know the philosophy there is just stay in today.
- 28:17Speaker 2: Stay in today, get through today, don't worry about tomorrow, just be in today.
- 28:22Speaker 2: And that's really helped train my brain to stay very present on what is the next indicated.
- 28:29Speaker 2: This is program language, but what's the next indicated step?
- 28:32Speaker 2: Okay, what's the next step that I need to do?
- 28:34Speaker 2: I don't need to think about the whole thing, I just need to be in now and be on the step that I'm on.
- 28:40Speaker 2: So I just have to wrap this back to coaching, because what I see happening is so many people overcomplicate how they don't know what their goal is, wow, so they're just spinning their wheels doing all this frantic wasting of energy and time.
- 28:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 28:58Speaker 2: Consuming lots of different information and free stuff and, honestly, what helped me start making money in my business was I hired my first coach and that drew the line in the sand for me.
- 29:09Speaker 2: It helped me to now know myself as somebody who can figure out how to come up with a thousand bucks a month.
- 29:16Speaker 1: When.
- 29:17Speaker 2: I started this, I was on food stamps and unemployment.
- 29:20Speaker 1: Wow.
- 29:21Speaker 2: And I, you know, I bought my first course and I bought it on a payment plan, it was like 500 bucks and I started just implementing and took that little bit of money that I made back from implementing and then hired my first coach.
- 29:36Speaker 1: So good.
- 29:37Speaker 1: I want to just make a comment.
- 29:39Speaker 1: Financially, when you buy a program and you use your credit card, it's not consumer debt, so don't feel bad.
- 29:47Speaker 1: Yeah, you're going to learn something to pay off the credit card.
- 29:49Speaker 1: Okay, I had to have my little, because it's not consumer debt.
- 29:53Speaker 1: It is investing in yourself and you need to invest.
- 29:55Speaker 1: So take us back.
- 29:57Speaker 1: You're getting off food stamps, you're you're.
- 30:01Speaker 1: You're really investing in yourself.
- 30:02Speaker 1: And what was the?
- 30:05Speaker 1: Was there a process to getting that first coach, or were you just diligent to do what was in front of you?
- 30:12Speaker 1: Were staying online, girl?
- 30:13Speaker 1: Tell us about it.
- 30:15Speaker 2: Yeah, so I had closed my brick and mortar location in 2020 and I and I had no idea what was coming next.
- 30:22Speaker 1: Wow.
- 30:23Speaker 2: And so then I went online because that's what everybody was doing at that in that year, you know, during COVID, and I spent most of that year just kind of trying to figure things out, and finally I started looking for a program to buy, and that was like in October 2020.
- 30:40Speaker 2: And I bought a course which was called you know how to become a coach on Instagram, something like that.
- 30:47Speaker 2: You know they're out there, yeah.
- 30:49Speaker 2: And I did the course and it worked and I started, you know, making some money.
- 30:54Speaker 2: And then I hired my first one-to-one coach, and that that was just really important and it's something I teach all my clients is that, you know, we really have to be consumers of what we sell, oh to to operate with integrity.
- 31:08Speaker 2: Say that again we need to be consumers of what we sell to operate with integrity.
- 31:15Speaker 2: Awesome, yeah, meaning, you know I'm only going to sell you something that I have lived experience walking through.
- 31:23Speaker 1: Thank you so good.
- 31:25Speaker 1: It's not like you're going gonna read a book and try to regurgitate it to your.
- 31:28Speaker 1: No, I love that you said that because I firmly believe in that.
- 31:33Speaker 1: I had a short period of time when I had a group, I was a mentor, and the last thing I want to do was go live with this group and try to regurgitate.
- 31:43Speaker 1: So they, they got a lot of life experience.
- 31:46Speaker 1: I wasn't saying in the midst of it, by the way, I'm a bureau.
- 31:48Speaker 1: I was making my way through it.
- 31:51Speaker 1: You were making your way from food stamps to being a coach.
- 31:54Speaker 1: We all have a journey, we all have a story, but metal faith.
- 31:57Speaker 1: You have found your voice.
- 31:59Speaker 1: I mean you've got an amazing voice to help so many.
- 32:03Speaker 1: Just the power of your story, because how many can relate Like they may be saying, okay, I'm on food stamps right now.
- 32:10Speaker 1: What did she say?
- 32:11Speaker 1: Go listen to this Serious.
- 32:14Speaker 1: I mean, it's in the, it's in, sometimes, that misery that there comes the God divine destiny.
- 32:22Speaker 1: Let me ask you something Because I think someone needs to hear this you had a dream in this dream to be a coach, or was that just something you felt like you needed to do?
- 32:35Speaker 1: Was there some sort of a dream, a vision you knew God put you on here for this, this one thing.
- 32:43Speaker 2: You know, I just I just have always been helping people.
- 32:47Speaker 2: I've always had some kind of advice for them and I just really, really love to see people thrive.
- 32:55Speaker 2: I love to see people become successful and just know themselves as something beyond what they're they currently are.
- 33:03Speaker 2: So if somebody you know, honestly, the only the like main ingredient you need to be successful as an online coach is willingness.
- 33:10Speaker 2: If you're willing, you will be unstoppable.
- 33:14Speaker 1: You'll take action.
- 33:16Speaker 2: You'll put yourself out there, you'll be uncomfortable and take action anyway, you know.
- 33:20Speaker 2: But honestly, like it comes with so you have to risk.
- 33:23Speaker 2: You have to risk If you, if you sit there spinning your wheels and just trying to figure it all out on your own, it won't happen.
- 33:32Speaker 2: That's so good.
- 33:33Speaker 2: You know I'm having to take a lot of risks.
- 33:37Speaker 1: And when you have faith the risk can be walked, because in your faith you have the resilience in the risk.
- 33:47Speaker 2: Yeah, well, I love that, uh, that verse that says something like you know, god works all things together for the good of those who are called according to his purposes, or something.
- 33:55Speaker 2: Yeah, and so that means that everything that I go through, every investment that I make, whether it's a lemon or whether it's, it's a super great ROI immediately you know I'm going to learn.
- 34:08Speaker 2: I'm always learning I'm always learning from by watching people and seeing what I don't want to do and seeing what I do want to do.
- 34:15Speaker 1: Yeah, that's so good.
- 34:17Speaker 1: And you see, what I love about what you're saying is you're not complicating it.
- 34:22Speaker 2: It's very simple.
- 34:23Speaker 2: That's why I only teach five steps to this process.
- 34:26Speaker 1: I have a great friend who's my mental coach turned business coach, and so I can just hear her simplify it, t simplify it.
- 34:35Speaker 2: Well, the thing, why that's so hard for creative people?
- 34:38Speaker 2: Okay, because we are creative, we have 10 million ideas.
- 34:43Speaker 2: And that's when you come into this industry, it's like you know just all these puzzle pieces thrown on the table and you start to put them together and they start to make sense over time.
- 34:53Speaker 2: But it's just because we're creative.
- 34:55Speaker 2: Yeah, we love to create, we love to innovate, we loved.
- 34:58Speaker 2: But innovation can actually hurt you.
- 35:00Speaker 2: Wow, in your business, constantly innovating.
- 35:04Speaker 1: Right, right, that's true.
- 35:06Speaker 1: That's really a good word.
- 35:07Speaker 1: You're spitting out some gold, so you should be taking notes.
- 35:12Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, I just love talking to you.
- 35:15Speaker 2: You're just easy to talk to.
- 35:16Speaker 1: Those of you who are on the podcast.
- 35:17Speaker 1: You're just missing all of our big, huge smiles.
- 35:22Speaker 1: Anyway, you can find us on YouTube later.
- 35:24Speaker 1: Well, listen, listen, listen.
- 35:26Speaker 1: I want to end this with some.
- 35:29Speaker 1: I have to think okay, because I never just try to talk about, I try to pull something out of the people I interview and sometimes I feel like I'm talking too much.
- 35:41Speaker 1: This is not your interview, but I want to pull something out for someone who's on food stamps.
- 35:48Speaker 1: They know, god's put a dream.
- 35:51Speaker 1: Speak to that person, will you.
- 35:55Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, Speak to them.
- 35:58Speaker 1: You can dance.
- 35:59Speaker 1: For them too, dancing is allowed.
- 36:01Speaker 1: I thought do I have room to dance?
- 36:03Speaker 1: You don't want to see that?
- 36:05Speaker 1: Okay, humor aside, sorry, I would just.
- 36:07Speaker 2: I would just I would say to them that there is lots of support available.
- 36:12Speaker 2: Thank you, there's lots of free support.
- 36:15Speaker 2: I mean we are literally inundated with support.
- 36:19Speaker 2: There's so many opportunities to change your life.
- 36:21Speaker 2: Yes, Thank you as long as you're willing to take action.
- 36:26Speaker 1: And simplify it.
- 36:27Speaker 1: Don't try to feed a lot of people feel like they've got to know it perfectly before they take a step forward.
- 36:33Speaker 1: No, that's procrastination.
- 36:34Speaker 1: Yeah, you know.
- 36:36Speaker 1: Sometimes let's say you want to make a course, make the first course.
- 36:39Speaker 1: Don't make it all because you don't know what they want.
- 36:41Speaker 1: Make the first course and they're like I'm getting buyers, We'll make the second course, second, second chapter to that course, we, we.
- 36:48Speaker 1: So that's where I think fear and ego gets in the way.
- 36:52Speaker 1: It's like you, it's not for you.
- 36:54Speaker 1: That course is not for you, it's for who you're going to serve.
- 36:57Speaker 2: If someone's thinking about making a course, I actually have a really cool hack for people and I'm going to share this.
- 37:04Speaker 2: I'm just going to drop this nugget for you guys.
- 37:06Speaker 2: If you want to build a course, my advice is run it live.
- 37:11Speaker 2: Ooh, I like that.
- 37:12Speaker 2: Yes, run it live as a live cohort or program.
- 37:17Speaker 2: Get as get as get.
- 37:20Speaker 2: If you get one person, great, run it live.
- 37:22Speaker 2: Just run it live and then get that live feedback.
- 37:26Speaker 1: That's so good.
- 37:27Speaker 2: Because if you're creating a course and you're spending so much time and energy trying to figure out what the course should have in it, what it should be about, chances are if you go to launch it, it won't sell because you haven't actually responded to a demand.
- 37:42Speaker 1: That's so good because you got to find what their need is and meet the needs.
- 37:46Speaker 1: So you do it live.
- 37:47Speaker 1: You get the feedback, you get the live, run it live.
- 37:50Speaker 1: So I'm going to jump in here on your interview and I am so excited.
- 37:56Speaker 1: I've been praying for years to have one place to be able to do everything, and that's redirect.
- 38:03Speaker 1: I know you're in Kajabi and I respect that.
- 38:05Speaker 1: I have spent money and years on ClickFunnels.
- 38:07Speaker 1: I actually really love ClickFunnels.
- 38:09Speaker 1: Those of you business people know what we're talking about.
- 38:12Speaker 1: Platforms, crm Platforms, funnels For the nerds out there, the one we'll have to schedule to have your membership, to have your group.
- 38:23Speaker 1: It's all in one place and the reason I can talk about it not just because I believe in it and I sell it, but the owner is a really good friend.
- 38:29Speaker 1: She's a really devoted godly woman.
- 38:32Speaker 1: Her name's Kendra and I encourage you DM me on Facebook or message me and let me just show you a video, because I believe this is where I'm going to end it with this.
- 38:45Speaker 1: I believe meadow god is raising up josephs who are going to be heroes of the family that's what I want you to be in the pit we're ready for the.
- 38:57Speaker 1: We're a bit to the palace, no, but I think in this day and age, it's the palace it may be digital products, I know digital products.
- 39:05Speaker 1: You may be coaching Metal knows coaching but I believe it's time to divide a line and step over it and say I'm going to be the hero of my family, I'm going to work, I'm going to have constructive work I might have to hire a coach to do it and I'm going to start being the hero of my family, financially, spiritually, emotionally.
- 39:23Speaker 1: Sometimes you just need to be the hero emotionally.
- 39:25Speaker 1: You need to get some help emotionally.
- 39:27Speaker 1: You're making money and it's just no big deal, but you know there's things.
- 39:32Speaker 1: So I just that's my challenge at the end of this podcast Be the hero.
- 39:36Speaker 1: How can people get in touch with you, meadow I?
- 39:39Speaker 2: hang out on Instagram.
- 39:41Speaker 2: I'm on Instagram.
- 39:42Speaker 2: It's.
- 39:42Speaker 2: I am Meadow Faith on Instagram.
- 39:43Speaker 2: I'm on Instagram.
- 39:43Speaker 2: It's I am Meadow Faith on Instagram.
- 39:46Speaker 1: I am Meadow, faith Okay.
- 39:48Speaker 2: DM me, come hang out with me, and my dancing shenanigans.
- 39:51Speaker 1: It's fun on Instagram.
- 39:53Speaker 1: Girl, I want to pray for you.
- 39:56Speaker 1: I'll speak the word over you.
- 39:58Speaker 2: Thank you, thank you.
- 40:02Speaker 1: Thank you, father, for Meadow Faith, thank you.
- 40:04Speaker 1: Even her name springs forth of possibilities, so meadow.
- 40:09Speaker 1: I think god's going to allow you to go to places that some people can't go because of who you are, because of your gentleness, because of your exuberance, and I think god's going to be leading you to people of high influence, but you're not going to be moved by their influence.
- 40:23Speaker 1: You're going to be moved by the heart that God gave you to serve them and because of that faithful obedience, you'll be raising up influencers who make money, not just to be an influencer, and you're not.
- 40:36Speaker 1: You don't want the spotlight, you just want to see them shine, because there's some voices that need to be unleashed, and you're going to be the one, by your programs, by your coaching, that's going to unleash a movement, and let's just say it, a movement of Joseph's who are saving their family.
- 40:51Speaker 1: Speak that over you, in the name of Jesus.
- 40:56Speaker 1: And you're going to have to do it again, okay, amen.
- 41:00Speaker 2: Amen.
