- 0:00Welcome to World View Matters, discussing controversial issues, discerning current events,
- 0:10defending biblical Christianity.
- 0:13No topic, off limits.
- 0:16And now, here's your host, David Fierazzo.
- 0:19Hey guys, thank you so much for sharing the podcast, for listening, for tuning in.
- 0:24I really appreciate you.
- 0:25I've got Heidi St. John, the busy mom, back with us.
- 0:30I'm just going to bring her in right now, Heidi St. John.com, author, podcaster, troublemaker
- 0:36for the Kingdom of God, and her website, Heidi St. John.com.
- 0:43Second half of this show today, we're going to talk about a brand new book for children,
- 0:47that she's got out called The Mouse and the Sea, coming out, thanks to the people at Brave
- 0:53Books.
- 0:54Welcome back to World View Matters.
- 0:56Hey my friend, it's so good to be here, it's always nice to see you.
- 1:00It's great to see you a little more frequently in the last, I don't know, six months, we've
- 1:04connected a little, a little more often.
- 1:06I love that.
- 1:07Personally, I believe so to the audience here at World View Matters.
- 1:10Let's start, before we get to the children's book, let's start with some recent events
- 1:14and I want to get your take on what's going on.
- 1:18Let's just start with the low hanging fruit.
- 1:20That would be President Trump and the constant attacks on him and the legal battles, but
- 1:26Ron DeSantis dropping, I love DeSantis by the way, what are your thoughts on that whole
- 1:32thing?
- 1:33Well, I'm a super fan, it's worth saying, I'm a super fan of Ron DeSantis in terms of
- 1:39his policy.
- 1:40Yes.
- 1:41I don't know the guy personally, one thing I've learned, I mean, I do know him, I've met
- 1:44him several times, I don't know him.
- 1:47One thing I've learned, and I definitely came away from this with my rent for Congress
- 1:51is, you know, and people, we don't really know, I mean, the average American citizen needs
- 1:55to just admit, we don't know what's going on behind the scenes.
- 2:00So like, I posted, hey, you know, DeSantis has dropped out of the race and I would love
- 2:04to see DeSantis on the ticket with Trump, frankly, I think they'd be unstoppable.
- 2:07I think you did a Ron DeSantis and Donald Trump ticket and I think it would be unstoppable.
- 2:12A whole bunch of people are like, Ron DeSantis is part of the cabal, how do you know that?
- 2:17How do you know?
- 2:18You don't know.
- 2:19You just, you just, you're just guessing.
- 2:21So I, I think we, I think we pray, I think we ask the Lord for his mercy because his
- 2:26country is in desperate need of the mercy of God right now.
- 2:30But I, in terms of his policy, I felt like Ron DeSantis did a phenomenal job as the governor
- 2:35of Florida.
- 2:36Yeah.
- 2:37And I thought he did an honorable thing when he dropped out of the race.
- 2:40He, he's realizing he said this when he dropped out, he doesn't want to spend hundreds
- 2:45and hundreds of millions of dollars on a campaign that has no path to victory.
- 2:49And it's very clear and it has been for months that Donald Trump's second all the oxygen
- 2:53out of the room and he is going to be the Republican nominee.
- 2:57And, and it's time for the Republicans to figure that out and just to get to get, I mean,
- 3:02it's either that or we got, you know, another round of Joe Biden or heaven forbid they run
- 3:05Michelle Obama and somebody suicides Joe Biden.
- 3:08Who knows?
- 3:09You know, maybe, maybe the Clintons are going to suicide him.
- 3:11Nobody knows.
- 3:12But I, I am, I was glad to see him drop out just, just because I don't think he, I don't
- 3:20think this was his time.
- 3:20I don't think he could have pulled it off.
- 3:22And it just further divides the party.
- 3:24Actually, it was pretty frustrated.
- 3:26You didn't ask me this, but I'm going to say it.
- 3:27I was, I was frustrated to see some of Trump's surrogates.
- 3:33Benny Johnson comes to mind, you know, people who put out videos that just mocked DeSantis
- 3:37after he withdrew from the race.
- 3:39Oh, I don't like that.
- 3:40I'm like, listen, he withdrew in, and whether or not you were going to vote for president,
- 3:47it takes a lot of Hutzpah and a lot of courage and a lot of time to run for office.
- 3:52Hello.
- 3:53He deserves.
- 3:54Yeah, you know what that's like.
- 3:56I do not to run for president, but certainly running for Congress.
- 4:00And I, I respect him for that.
- 4:02And so I'd like to see some of these, you know, the name calling it to stop the stupidity
- 4:07of it.
- 4:08It's just they further divide the Republican party because then they throw egg in the face
- 4:12of all the people that really wanted to vote for Ron DeSantis.
- 4:14Well, that doesn't help bring the party together.
- 4:16So how about you start acting like a bunch of grown ups.
- 4:19And I think so far I was happy with Trump's response to, to DeSantis drop out of the race.
- 4:26He said he's retiring.
- 4:28The name Ron DeSantis, which I was like, some of the stuff I'll tell you.
- 4:33But I think it's a good thing overall.
- 4:36So I'm with you when we talk about policy and this is what as Christians, guys, don't
- 4:43fall into the media trap of making, they are making it about personality.
- 4:48I'm not a big fan of president Trump's personality.
- 4:51I'm not a fan of his narcissism.
- 4:54I couldn't stand Obama's narcissism.
- 4:55I didn't want Trump to be so narcissistic, but this, that's who he is.
- 5:00I'll vote for him again if he gets the nomination.
- 5:02But I wish it were someone else, someone that was more biblical when it comes to their
- 5:07fruit.
- 5:08But let me tell you, get back to the three Ps, policy, platform and procedures and the
- 5:16platform, friends.
- 5:18I mean, if you're looking at the Democrat platform and you say you're a Christian, look
- 5:23out because you got answer to God for what you support your thoughts, Heidi.
- 5:28Yeah.
- 5:29That's absolutely right.
- 5:30You know, and it's policy over personality.
- 5:32We're not voting for a savior.
- 5:34We're voting for a president.
- 5:36And so we need to look at the policies of president Trump.
- 5:39He was, I mean, come on.
- 5:41The world was not in chaos like it is now when Trump was the president because he believes
- 5:45and so do I in leading through strength.
- 5:47We didn't have the poorest nature of the southern border.
- 5:50He was working on building a wall.
- 5:52We didn't have fentanyl pouring across our southern border like we do right now.
- 5:55Interesting to note that the Democrats used to be in favor of a closed border.
- 5:59And now they're not.
- 6:00Listen, if you don't have a border, you don't have a nation, borders define nations.
- 6:04And the United States is a sovereign nation that's being treated like a, you know, like some
- 6:10sort of a little summer camp by these people that are just coming across our southern border.
- 6:15So there's a lot of issues.
- 6:16I was frustrated, I think, with Trump's watering down a little bit of the pro life issue that
- 6:23was very disappointing to me, but listen, I'm going to pray for him.
- 6:26Because obviously he is the de facto, unless something happens, he is going to be the Republican
- 6:31nominee.
- 6:32Christians should be praying for this man.
- 6:35He is up against it.
- 6:37Obviously, you know, the, the Biden administration has weaponized the Department of Justice and
- 6:41the DOJ.
- 6:42I mean, on the FBI against Trump, they're trying to make an example of him.
- 6:47These, you know, sorry for the, the, the, the pun, but these, these trumped up charges
- 6:52that they're lobbing against him are really just to keep him from being able to run.
- 6:58These attempts to try to get him off the ballot in Colorado and in Maine, they're trying
- 7:01in Washington state right now, shame on these people, shame on these people.
- 7:06Our country was built on the fact that anyone who wants to run can run and they're trying
- 7:12to keep a man from being able to be on the ballot.
- 7:16And it's just shameful.
- 7:17It's a shameful moment for the country.
- 7:20And it highlights why we so desperately need to get the Democrats out of office.
- 7:25You know, these people are dangerous to the United States, dangerous to freedom.
- 7:29They've weaponized the Department of Justice against parents going to board meeting, school
- 7:33board meetings.
- 7:35Joe Biden, I'm sorry.
- 7:37I don't know how, you know, how many of your listeners like the guy, but he obviously
- 7:41is suffering from severe mental decline.
- 7:44He has no spiritual wisdom at all.
- 7:47I would call many of the things that he has said from the front of our nation's pulpit.
- 7:52The bully pulpit have been evil at their, at their root.
- 7:56And I mean, you guys, demand absolutely.
- 7:59You saw the display that Jill Biden put on at the White House at Christmas.
- 8:03These guys have had transgenders and, you know, people in the White House that are promoting
- 8:07things that are absolutely antithetical to scripture.
- 8:10And so I'm praying for Donald Trump, you know, like you, I'm not a, I'm not a super fan
- 8:16of his personality.
- 8:17I had the opportunity to meet with him for almost a full hour when I was running for
- 8:21Congress just by myself, just sat and, and talked with him.
- 8:25And he has, God has given him, you know, you guys can like it or not like it, but when
- 8:32that guy walks into a room, he has a particular charisma.
- 8:36There's something about him that draws people to his message.
- 8:40And he's a fighter.
- 8:41And we need a fighter.
- 8:42But he needs prayer.
- 8:43I don't, I would not, I don't feel comfortable saying he knows the Lord.
- 8:47I've never heard him make a confession of faith.
- 8:49I heard Melania, her mother's funeral.
- 8:52I watched little pieces of that.
- 8:54And I heard her, you know, thank the universe for her mother.
- 8:58I don't think these are people that know the Lord.
- 9:00And so it's even more reason to pray for them.
- 9:03They're not beyond the reach of God.
- 9:05And what would happen if we had a godly leader at the helm of our nation?
- 9:10It would be, it would be amazing.
- 9:12So you said something earlier that I want to point out what's happening now, what, what
- 9:18their tax on Trump.
- 9:19I think part of the agenda is to use, focus attention off what the administration is doing.
- 9:26It's a smoke screen.
- 9:27These attacks and they're pointing the finger at Trump all the time.
- 9:31But let me look at a couple of headlines here that we've talked about recently on
- 9:34the show.
- 9:35The government is spending $700,000 on trans and inclusive sex ed for 14-year-olds up
- 9:43and main.
- 9:44The Democrats are pushing a bill that would allow the state to seize kids from parents preventing
- 9:47them from getting sex change surgeries.
- 9:49And by the way, the White House just canceled $5 billion in student debt for 74,000 borrowers.
- 9:58Where does all the money come from?
- 10:01They continue.
- 10:02They don't even do it.
- 10:03It's not constitutional.
- 10:04He's acting outside of his authority and it's shocking to me.
- 10:07And that doesn't matter anymore, apparently.
- 10:09It's just amazing.
- 10:10Yeah.
- 10:11I mean, he's already been, he already had his wrist slapped by the Supreme Court who said,
- 10:15Oh, hey, you're outside of your jurisdiction.
- 10:17You don't actually get to do that.
- 10:19That's a decision for Congress to make.
- 10:22And this, this president who absolutely doesn't give one wit about the United States Constitution.
- 10:27He knows he's outside of the law.
- 10:28Yeah.
- 10:29And he doesn't care.
- 10:30It's amazing.
- 10:31I might not know him at this, his mental state now, but whoever's running things for
- 10:38the left, they know.
- 10:40By the way, they're one of their slogans, build back better in order to build something
- 10:43back.
- 10:44You've got to break it.
- 10:45You've got to break it.
- 10:46They're dismantling on purpose.
- 10:47They don't care how much money they're spending.
- 10:50They don't care how they waste taxpayer dollars.
- 10:52They don't care about the chaos at the southern border.
- 10:56But anyway, I think there's so much more we need to talk about.
- 11:01So that's all politics.
- 11:02And this is going to be a very, very interesting year, but for Christians, what would you say?
- 11:06What advice and encouragement would you give to the biblical Christian, not the American
- 11:11professing Christian or the person that thinks they're a believer, but that's not applying
- 11:16the Bible to their lives, not living like it?
- 11:19What advice would you give as far as the election coming up this year and just to keep their
- 11:24foundation straight in their heads on straight as we move through this year of 2024?
- 11:30That's a great question.
- 11:33You know, I, you know, we're talking about this a little while ago.
- 11:36I have been really burdened to prayer really to come and I'm not, I would say I have
- 11:43not been a woman of prayer, like I think God would have me be.
- 11:48I think, you know, people like me, I'm sort of a type A personality.
- 11:51I'm a doer.
- 11:52You know, I want to get in and like, you know, how can I fix it?
- 11:54What can I do?
- 11:55And I think the Lord is calling his people back to say, Hey, it's not about you.
- 12:00It's about me.
- 12:01And what I can do, greater is he who is in me than he who's in the world.
- 12:05And so I have really been reminded to pray and I think we cannot underestimate the power
- 12:12of prayer.
- 12:13It doesn't mean that we disengage, that we stop doing things.
- 12:15It means that we come before the Lord, that we get up that extra 15 minutes earlier,
- 12:19that extra half an hour, whatever it takes, and we dedicate that time to the Lord.
- 12:23I frankly think that's why we saw a victory in 2016.
- 12:27And I think in 2020, everyone was just like, Oh, Hey, we got it in the bag.
- 12:30And so people just kind of were like these relights, right?
- 12:33You know, we, we, we walk away from the Lord or we get lazy or we think that we're the
- 12:38ones who are this is all about or whatever.
- 12:40And then we wind up in trouble.
- 12:42And then we get ourselves into the situation like we're in right now, the church quiet
- 12:46again, not doing what they were supposed to be doing in the first place.
- 12:49So I want to see God's people actually return to a posture of prayer.
- 12:53And I have been my, my, my word for 20, 2024 is shine.
- 12:59God's people should be cheerful.
- 13:00We should be happy warriors.
- 13:02We're not to give up, weren't worked to, we're to stand.
- 13:06I mean, the Bible says having done all stand and we stand in the knowledge of the, the
- 13:11truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ, we can stand in the knowledge of who we are.
- 13:15And the God's got a plan that he's working out and the we're part of it.
- 13:18We're here for such a time as this.
- 13:19So to me, it's a, it's a return to a posture of prayer.
- 13:22I have a women's Bible study that I'm doing over at faith that speaks.
- 13:26And we've got a couple thousand women over there going through God's word with me.
- 13:30And my women's conference shine is coming up on the first and second of March here in
- 13:33Vancouver, Washington.
- 13:34And so I'm trying to equip as many people as I can with the tools that God has given
- 13:40us in his word to see victory as Christians, we fight not for victory, but we fight from
- 13:46a position of victory, knowing that the battle has already been won and Jesus wanted at
- 13:51the cross.
- 13:52And so now, you know, we're waiting for the Lord to return.
- 13:55And while we do that, he said that we're to share the gospel, that we're to shine the
- 13:58love of Christ that we are there for Christ and bastards as if he were making his appeal
- 14:01through us.
- 14:02What are you saying?
- 14:03Come back to me.
- 14:04Right.
- 14:05That's the heart of the Father.
- 14:06Come back to me.
- 14:07Well, we won't be able to do that unless we commit to prayer.
- 14:10And so that to me is the most, the most important thing.
- 14:13It's just something the Lord's put on my heart, but I think it's his heart for his people
- 14:17for this time and this season.
- 14:18Amen.
- 14:19Pray, shine, stand.
- 14:22How's that for a little motto?
- 14:23Anyway, we've got to take a break when we come back with Heidi, St. John, the busy mom.
- 14:28We're going to talk about a brand new children's book she has called The Mouse and the Sea.
- 14:34Right back on World View Matters.

- 16:11maybe you know of a business that's interested in sponsoring World View Matters.
- 16:14So just let us know, okay?
- 16:16Thank you so much.
- 16:17Back to Heidi St. John, the busy mom, also momstronginternational.com.
- 16:24That's what she mentioned, faith that speaks.
- 16:27And Heidi, well, you just mentioned, did you say you're doing a Bible study over there
- 16:31at faith that speaks?
- 16:32Tell us a little bit about that before we move on.
- 16:34Yeah.
- 16:35So we rebranded momstronginternational about several months ago to an organization we were
- 16:42calling faith that speaks because I want to reach out to all women, not just women who
- 16:47are mothers and we had so many people saying, I love what you're saying.
- 16:51It applies to, you know, I want to bring my daughter, my 18 year old or my neighbor down
- 16:56the street, but then I'll have kids.
- 16:57And my passion really has been to get the word of God into the hands of women.
- 17:02And so we rebranded from momstronginternational to faith that speaks.com and they, we asked
- 17:08the question of these women, if your faith found its voice, what would God have you say?
- 17:12If your faith found its feet, where would God take you, the idea that our faith is an
- 17:16active faith and not a silent faith, it's not an immobile faith, it's not a paralyzed
- 17:22faith, God has us here for such a time as this.
- 17:26The lives of the people that are living today are no less significant in God's economy
- 17:30than the lives of Moses or Esther or any of the great Christian leaders that we can
- 17:37think of in past ages.
- 17:38We are here for this time in human history.
- 17:41And so at faith that speaks, I do a Bible study every, every month we release a Bible
- 17:46study and I take the women through it right now.
- 17:48We're going through the book of Esther next month.
- 17:50We're going to be walking through 10 extraordinary women from the Bible and actually looking
- 17:55at a couple of villains, also what can we learn from these women who had lives that were
- 18:01not honoring to God.
- 18:03And so lots of, you know, like I said, my passion just to see these women walk with the
- 18:08Lord and have their faith become a faith that speaks.
- 18:12And so that's really been my heart and passion, my new book for mothers, momstrong 365.
- 18:20It's a 365 day devotional for anyone who has influence in life of a child that came out
- 18:24in September.
- 18:25And then as you just said in January, just a couple of weeks ago, my brand new book
- 18:30from Brave Books for children, the mouse and the sea release.
- 18:33So we got a lot going on, but I'm hoping it's an encouragement to people.
- 18:37Well, you're living up to your name, the busy mom.
- 18:40That's for sure.
- 18:41But let's, I'm over at BraveBooks.us.
- 18:44It is a Christian book publishing company and they're putting out a lot of books.
- 18:49This is this your first children's book because you've written a lot of books, Heidi.
- 18:53Tell us about that.
- 18:54How did this come about?
- 18:56So it came about because Brave reached out to me and what they do is they partner with
- 19:01influencers.
- 19:02So they look for Christian influencers, men and women who have a platform and they say,
- 19:05hey, can we partner with you to write a book, which works out great for people, busy
- 19:10people like me.
- 19:11So we talked about a topic and what would, you know, what would fit with me and what
- 19:17I'm doing.
- 19:18And so the book that we wrote was just about asking for help.
- 19:21You know, we're trying to teach children to lean into their communities.
- 19:25So much of what happens in the culture right now with children is tearing them away from
- 19:28their, their support system away from their families and onto social media or to their
- 19:33school counselors or whatever.
- 19:35But God has given us community right here in our homes and in our purchase.
- 19:39And so I think we often avoid asking for help out of fear that it will burden somebody
- 19:44else.
- 19:45Yep.
- 19:46And, and this book really speaks to that.
- 19:49But even though it's written for children, I think it's a lot of parents were related
- 19:52to it, right?
- 19:53So this little, this little mouse, it's beautifully illustrated by the way.
- 19:56I mean, they just do an incredible job.
- 19:58Oh, yeah, it's just, it's really, really sweet.
- 20:00But this little mouse, he has the kind of the gift of help and he loves to help people.
- 20:04And he, he sees his friends at the bottom of the ocean that need help, like his one of
- 20:07his friends little Orca whale.
- 20:09And he has a, I think a toilet lid or something stuck on his tooth.
- 20:12Someone dropped in the ocean and he takes it off and he just goes around and helps people.
- 20:16So then he needs help, right?
- 20:18The bad guy comes into the story and he's kidnapped and he needs help.
- 20:22And he refuses the help from his friends because he doesn't want to burden them, which
- 20:26of course gets him into even more trouble.
- 20:28And so his friends come alongside and help him, you know, it's sort of like we can get
- 20:32by a little help from my friends.
- 20:34But what I love about this is I think, I think it's going to resonate with adults as well
- 20:40as children.
- 20:41And Brae books is amazing.
- 20:42They are really, they're doing something to combat the problem of woke ideology that's
- 20:48specifically in our schools right now coming out from companies like Scholastic, you and
- 20:52I have talked about Scholastic on the show before.
- 20:55And my book is part of Brae books Freedom Island series.
- 20:58It's the first book in saga four.
- 21:00So they've been at this for a little while.
- 21:02So you're going to see the same group of characters they've added one.
- 21:04Of course, I'm Mr. Mouse.
- 21:05They've added my character now to the team.
- 21:08And they're going to move over to the island where all the bad guys are.
- 21:11So Dometron is the name of that island.
- 21:13And every book from Brae teaches a traditional American value.
- 21:18And they bring children into this beautiful world of imagination with a purpose.
- 21:23So it's a wonderful way to combat the woke ideology that's out there today.
- 21:27And people can sign up to become part of the Freedom Island book club series in every
- 21:31single month.
- 21:32You get a box in the mail that has a brand new book.
- 21:35This month, it's my book.
- 21:36So people join this month, they'll get my book for free because it comes as the first book
- 21:40in the series.
- 21:41But it's really a phenomenal way to engage your children or in my case, my grandchildren.
- 21:48So we got the book club for my grandkids.
- 21:50Awesome.
- 21:51And it's just a beautiful, beautiful way to combat woke ideology, bring families together.
- 21:56You get games and it all kinds of fun things.
- 21:58So it's the Freedom Island book club.
- 22:00And if people use the promo code Heidi, they'll get a discount when they check out.
- 22:04So that's a really good little tip for your listeners.
- 22:07Use that promo code when you check out.
- 22:09So they connect to that at bravebooks.us.
- 22:12Yep.
- 22:13Or bravebooks.com.
- 22:14I'm sure it will probably go to the, to the same place.
- 22:17And they sign up.
- 22:18You can sign up for the Freedom Island book club series.
- 22:20It's really, it's really, really cool.
- 22:22And then they'll get my book for free when they subscribe.
- 22:25And there's a new, I mean, my friend Kurt Cameron, I think he's done three books for them.
- 22:28Missy Robertson from Deck Dynasty has done books for them.
- 22:32They've just got some really, really great, great authors and some fun, some fun perks
- 22:37like a Freedom Island map.
- 22:39Because remember, they're tracking these characters all around Freedom Island.
- 22:42So they track the characters, they get to know them, they track them with stickers,
- 22:46they get magnets and coloring pages, all kinds of things.
- 22:49So it's, it's a lot of fun.
- 22:51And I think that, I think that the ages that they're, that they're really shooting for
- 22:56are four to 12.
- 22:57So we're looking like elementary school, age, children and preschool.
- 23:01Boy, do we need more children's books after we've seen the onslaught of drag queen
- 23:07story hours and all these things taking place.
- 23:10So thank you, Heidi, for being a part of this movement.
- 23:13And I appreciate Kurt Cameron rebelling and offering Christian books or kids' books
- 23:18at the local school library, people doing these events that are Christian.
- 23:22I've even had some pastor friends do pastor story hour at their library or whatever.
- 23:27I mean, the library is public, right?
- 23:29So one description of the book says your book, The Mouse and the Sea carries a powerful
- 23:36message for mothers to encouraging them to forget the do it all mentality and not be afraid
- 23:44to lean on others.
- 23:45Heidi, let's stop right there.
- 23:46We're running out of time, but talk to busy moms who maybe they have a hard time asking
- 23:52for help because they're used to doing it all.
- 23:55Go ahead.
- 23:56You've got experience with that.
- 23:57I'm sure.
- 23:58I do.
- 23:59Well, I mean, for those of your listeners who don't know, I have raised seven children and
- 24:03now I'm a grandmother.
- 24:04Just on our daughter, Sierra and her husband are expecting their first baby.
- 24:07So that'll be five grandbabies coming into the St. John household.
- 24:11But I think, you know, we can really easily fall as mothers, especially if you're a
- 24:15homeschool mom or you've got several young ones at home into the sort of martyr mom syndrome
- 24:18where no one's ever listening to me and we're slamming the dishwasher glows and you're
- 24:22exhausted at the end of the day and producing your marriages, suffering, your relationships
- 24:25are suffering.
- 24:26That is not God's heart.
- 24:28He is created as for community.
- 24:30We need to ask for help.
- 24:31It's what I have really dedicated my life to doing with my husband and starting the
- 24:35homeschool resource center and all the things that we do to come alongside parents.
- 24:39We need each other and that's really the message of the mouse in the sea.
- 24:42I think that's why I said, I think it's not only is it good for children, but it's going
- 24:46to be good for that mom who's like, you know, I hasn't asked for help, but she desperately
- 24:51needs it.
- 24:52And so to sort of keep that at the front and center to say, hey, if you need help, ask
- 24:57for it.
- 24:58And there's a privilege that we have right in coming alongside other other brothers
- 25:02and sisters in the Lord and saying, hey, I noticed that you could use a little help
- 25:06from a friend.
- 25:07And that really is the message of the mouse in the sea, just like all the books from
- 25:09Brave Books.
- 25:10It has a wonderful positive uplifting message.
- 25:13I think we'll resonate not only with kids, but with parents as well.
- 25:16And with your book, The Mouse in the Sea, I think of bearing one another's burdens offering
- 25:21help.
- 25:22If you, if we are physically able Christian, let's just not talk it.
- 25:25Let's be about offering our time, our help and the resources that we have, time, talents,
- 25:32treasure.
- 25:33Heidi, we just got one more minute here and I'm just so thankful to have connected with
- 25:37you all these years.
- 25:38I don't know when we first talked and I don't even know how that happened, but I'm so
- 25:41glad because I just sense a kindred spirit and you're a fighter, you're a warrior.
- 25:47I like to be, you know, sometimes life will beat us down a little bit, but, but Christ
- 25:52is king.
- 25:53He wins.
- 25:54That means we win in the end.
- 25:55So we have such an amazing hope in him.
- 25:59Just love for you to share your final words of encouragement and we'll let you go.
- 26:03Well, I, you know, as you know, in 2022, I ran for Congress and I'm not only going to find
- 26:08my, my political voice in doing that, but I learned that Christianity is absolutely
- 26:12under the, under attack in this country.
- 26:13And I think this year is going to be one of the most important battles for conservatives
- 26:17in this country.
- 26:18Most of these people are just like our parents.
- 26:21And everyone who's listening to show to be encouraged.
- 26:24You're here for this time in human history.
- 26:26God would have us get off the bench, get on to the battlefield, encourage your friends
- 26:30and your neighbors, what can we do to be ambassadors for the living God around us and bring
- 26:35some light to where God has us in the culture.
- 26:39It's a dark world, but Jesus shines brightly.
- 26:41And we shine even more brightly in the darkness.
- 26:45about what might come in 2024, but I'm not.
- 26:48I know that we're here for this time in human history
- 26:50and greater is he who's in me than he who's in the world.
- 26:53Amen.
- 26:54Be people of faith and fear is not of God.
- 26:57We've not been given a spirit of fear,
- 26:59but power, love and a sound mind.
- 27:02Heidi, I think back to what you said earlier,
- 27:03let's pray, let's shine and let's stand.
- 27:06What do you say?
- 27:07I love it.
- 27:08Let's do it.
- 27:09God bless you and all you have going on.
- 27:10Thanks for your time today.
- 27:11HeidiSaintjohn.com.
- 27:13We'll see you next time.
- 27:15Thank you.
- 27:16All right, friends, we appreciate your support
- 27:18for sharing the podcast.
- 27:19It's getting out there thanks to you.
- 27:21So God bless you and as always, keep speaking the truth
- 27:26about things that matter.
