Transcript
- 0:02>> Speaker B: Jasmine, oolong, green
- 0:05and white. Long ago, these four
- 0:08teas were skilfully brewed at the blissful brew.
- 0:11Then everything changed when the shop's
- 0:14popularity threatened its existence.
- 0:17All Mr. Okuron, the shop's owner and tea
- 0:20master, could do was to recruit four teenage
- 0:22orphans to learn his trade and. And staff his
- 0:25shop. A year has passed since the orphans were hired,
- 0:28and although their skills have progressed, they still have a
- 0:31lot to learn before they can brew anything. But
- 0:34I believe that they have the potential to make the blissful
- 0:37brew the greatest tea shop in the world.
- 0:42>> Speaker A: M
- 0:45and welcome back, everybody, to the
- 0:48first official episode. I say first.
- 0:51I mean, we did the episode zero, but this is, like, episode one of
- 0:53the story of benders.
- 0:57That's right. Kermit the frog
- 1:01enthusiasm. this is episode one of
- 1:04season three, the finale
- 1:06season for benders and brews, the
- 1:09show that you all know and love. Otherwise, you wouldn't have
- 1:12stuck around this long. Welcome, back. We're
- 1:15excited to have you here listening. we're excited to be here
- 1:18recording, and, we're excited to tell the rest of
- 1:21this story. So we'll kick things off like we
- 1:23always do. Go around the table and do some interesting
- 1:26character facts for each one of the players. We
- 1:29will start with Dave,
- 1:36assuming he's prepared.
- 1:37>> Speaker C: There was a time in
- 1:40Gohan's life, a
- 1:43time of darkness.
- 1:44>> Speaker D: Oh.
- 1:46>> Speaker C: A time of experimentation,
- 1:49that manifested itself in
- 1:53what you might call emo
- 1:55phase.
- 1:56>> Speaker D: What?
- 1:58>> Speaker A: Guohan will Guo.
- 2:02>> Speaker C: Yeah, he saw. Yeah, I mean, they passed through, a town
- 2:05where that was kind of the rage. A lot of teens
- 2:08and whatnot were doing that
- 2:11and expressing their inner
- 2:14emo.
- 2:14>> Speaker A: Right on. What does a town
- 2:17do to have a lot of teens?
- 2:21What would cause a town to explicitly have
- 2:24just a, larger than normal
- 2:26number of teens in it?
- 2:28>> Speaker E: They had a baby boom at a specific,
- 2:31like, oh, man, these babies stink and we don't want
- 2:34anymore. And then they just have teenagers and no babies.
- 2:36>> Speaker A: They just go straight to teen.
- 2:39Gosh, Michaela's got some feelings about
- 2:42teenagers.
- 2:45You're an old soul.
- 2:47>> Speaker E: I've been told that a lot, actually.
- 2:49>> Speaker A: So he had an emo phase. How did that
- 2:52manifest? Did he have, like, do, some dark
- 2:55eyeliner, maybe? Pale
- 2:59makeup?
- 3:01>> Speaker C: yeah, it was eyeliner for sure. The
- 3:04lipstick nice. Painted his
- 3:06nails nice in his
- 3:09toenails.
- 3:10>> Speaker A: Was he listening to some crazy music?
- 3:12>> Speaker C: Yeah, he was going to some
- 3:14underground concerts. Nice around
- 3:17town that, you'd kind of have to. There weren't
- 3:20posted flyers anywhere.
- 3:22>> Speaker A: You had to know somebody
- 3:24that's awesome.
- 3:25>> Speaker C: And he would feel extra
- 3:28rebellious whenever he got a chance to
- 3:31sneak away from the carnival. Yeah,
- 3:35but they would always come and.
- 3:36>> Speaker A: Find him, though, and bring him back to work.
- 3:39I mean, I guess. Yeah, that's the second thing. When you grow up
- 3:42without direct parents, then you kind of have to turn
- 3:45that angsty teenage nature towards
- 3:47just any authority that you can get.
- 3:51And that was the crazy.
- 3:54That's crazy. I love it. I love it. All right, jumping
- 3:57over to Mika. Michaela
- 4:00playing Mika. There we go.
- 4:02>> Speaker F: Yep.
- 4:03>> Speaker A: What's the interesting fact about Mika today?
- 4:07One that we haven't ever heard up
- 4:10till this point?
- 4:12>> Speaker E: She's an only child.
- 4:14>> Speaker A: Okay, fair
- 4:17enough.
- 4:17>> Speaker E: Got him.
- 4:19>> Speaker A: I guess we'll establish that as, like, absolute fact.
- 4:22Like your dad didn't while he was out looking for
- 4:24you and other stuff he didn't get with
- 4:27anybody else or in the time leading up to after.
- 4:30>> Speaker E: Your mom died, too busy in the rebel union.
- 4:33>> Speaker A: maybe he found love in the. No, I
- 4:36mean, obviously he didn't because you just established it. Yeah.
- 4:39All right.
- 4:39>> Speaker E: We don't have love stories in this family anymore.
- 4:42>> Speaker A: Gosh.
- 4:46>> Speaker E: We love each other. That's all we need.
- 4:48>> Speaker A: Skyler is writing that down for Mika's
- 4:51arc, which is coming
- 4:55right. Well, all right. Official only child
- 4:58guaranteed. Definitely none
- 5:01out there. Canon. There we go.
- 5:03All right, jumping over to Connor. Connor, who
- 5:06the heck are you playing? And I won't spoil it this time.
- 5:09>> Speaker G: I'm playing the broccoli.
- 5:11>> Speaker A: The broccoli.
- 5:12>> Speaker G: The broccoli. And, fun fact about him,
- 5:15in his spare time, he's learning how to
- 5:18read and write a bit better. He's not the most
- 5:21literate feller. I'll teach you, but he's just got
- 5:24the street Smarts. He doesn't have the book smarts. He
- 5:27barely has street smarts.
- 5:29>> Speaker A: That's why Bill's got to look out for.
- 5:32>> Speaker G: He's got reckless, abandoned smarts.
- 5:34>> Speaker C: That's got street Smith.
- 5:38>> Speaker G: Exactly. So he's in his spare time
- 5:41learning how to read and write.
- 5:43>> Speaker E: Sounds like one of those bullies in school.
- 5:46>> Speaker G: Yeah.
- 5:47>> Speaker A: secretly trying to learn actual life
- 5:50skills, but trying to pretend like I don't need this.
- 5:52>> Speaker G: Like, when I see someone reading for fun, it makes me
- 5:55angry because I can't read,
- 5:58period.
- 5:58>> Speaker A: And you're doing it for fun
- 6:01recreationally.
- 6:05>> Speaker G: you're doing for fun what I can't even
- 6:07do.
- 6:09>> Speaker A: I say that when people do any
- 6:12sports or a lot of athletic activity
- 6:15that they consider bicycling for long distances.
- 6:18I don't know. Anyways, okay, then my
- 6:21question for you is, who is teaching
- 6:23Brock, or how is he learning?
- 6:26>> Speaker G: He's kind of just sort of breaking into local
- 6:29libraries. At least he thinks they're libraries because.
- 6:31>> Speaker A: He can't read the sign.
- 6:33>> Speaker G: Oh, my gosh.
- 6:34>> Speaker A: No.
- 6:35>> Speaker G: He can't read the signs outside,
- 6:38which.
- 6:38>> Speaker A: Is a ratio for correctly breaking into a library
- 6:41versus something else.
- 6:42>> Speaker G: 30% of the time,
- 6:45he's successful.
- 6:46>> Speaker A: The place where he doesn't have smart.
- 6:49>> Speaker G: No, he's got the street smart, so he knows how to break
- 6:52it. He knows how to break into place.
- 6:54>> Speaker A: Street smart. I got street smart.
- 6:58I like the idea that Brock just, like, walks up to a building
- 7:00that he's like, maybe this is a library. There's a dude standing outside of you, and he's
- 7:03like, yo, what's this building? And the guy's
- 7:06like, well, excuse me, but this is the
- 7:09library.
- 7:10>> Speaker D: Dope breaks the door open and just.
- 7:13>> Speaker A: Like, walks through and starts grabbing handfuls of books.
- 7:16>> Speaker H: Yep.
- 7:17>> Speaker G: That's pretty much all he does. Even if the door is unlocked, he just
- 7:19makes a new hole in the wall. He just has to
- 7:22establish Brock was here.
- 7:24>> Speaker C: Just grabs a book and rips out a page.
- 7:28Takes that with Lacey's. No context.
- 7:30>> Speaker A: No context.
- 7:31>> Speaker H: He's not so dumb that he just starts eating pages out of
- 7:34books, hoping that he can.
- 7:35>> Speaker E: He probably did that when he had.
- 7:37>> Speaker G: Absorbed the words into him.
- 7:41>> Speaker A: if only it was that easy.
- 7:42>> Speaker G: If only had an airbender
- 7:46straight into my brain. that's how it works.
- 7:48Yeah. They just like Brock's mind
- 7:53straight into the ear.
- 7:54>> Speaker A: Think embedding things into people's head is usually how you
- 7:57kill them.
- 8:00>> Speaker G: Brock's too hard headed. He's lucky that he doesn't have an
- 8:02airbender friend because he has.
- 8:08>> Speaker A: Read about this.
- 8:12>> Speaker G: I'm sure they filled lots of books with things
- 8:15directly talking about this idea.
- 8:19>> Speaker A: they filled a lot of books with things Brock doesn't know.
- 8:22In fact, they filled all of them with things.
- 8:26Awesome. All right. And last but not least,
- 8:29we've got Cameron.
- 8:31>> Speaker G: Hello.
- 8:32>> Speaker B: Who the heck are you?
- 8:34>> Speaker G: I'm Bill door.
- 8:41>> Speaker E: I'm Bill door.
- 8:42>> Speaker H: I'm Bill door.
- 8:43>> Speaker A: That's pretty good. That's a pretty good impersonation,
- 8:46considering I'm.
- 8:47>> Speaker G: The one who does it.
- 8:49>> Speaker E: He was talking about me. Give me some credit.
- 8:51>> Speaker H: That's a pretty good impression.
- 8:52>> Speaker A: Yeah.
- 8:53>> Speaker C: So it's not always a shoe in. I'm pretty sure
- 8:56Dolly Parton lost a Dolly Parton look
- 8:59like.
- 9:03>> Speaker A: Also, man, people can't even be themselves
- 9:07anymore.
- 9:07>> Speaker H: They're old.
- 9:08>> Speaker A: Yeah, that's true. So Karen, what is an interesting
- 9:11fact about Bill door that we didn't know up until
- 9:14this point that you're going to tell us?
- 9:16>> Speaker H: this is more of a question. Are there forests near the
- 9:19fire nation?
- 9:20>> Speaker A: Sure. Yeah, there's forests in the fire nation.
- 9:23>> Speaker H: Cool. Bill, and his family would go hiking.
- 9:26Sorry, camping. Camping. They would go
- 9:28camping usually a couple of times in the
- 9:31summer. And Bill always really enjoyed it. he would
- 9:33go on the hikes a lot while his parents would stay back at the
- 9:36camp, reading. His mom would paint. His dad would do a lot
- 9:39of reading. I know Broccoli is.
- 9:41>> Speaker G: He did what now?
- 9:44>> Speaker H: Bill and his two brothers would go on the hiking
- 9:46trails.
- 9:47>> Speaker A: Okay.
- 9:47>> Speaker H: And they would just kind of just go enjoy the
- 9:50land. But sometimes Bill would stay behind. And
- 9:53on these camping trips is when he really picked
- 9:56up painting, nature.
- 9:58>> Speaker A: Oh, yeah. Okay,
- 10:00awesome.
- 10:01>> Speaker H: So sometimes he'd hike,
- 10:04sometimes he'd paint. When you're in camping, you can
- 10:07kind of do both. Yeah, you have a lot of free time
- 10:09out there.
- 10:10>> Speaker A: Nature, man. That's like the whole point.
- 10:12>> Speaker H: From what I'm told, that's something he really enjoyed doing. And
- 10:15then they kind of stopped doing that, a couple
- 10:18of years before Bill ran away.
- 10:21So he really hasn't ever gone
- 10:24camping since.
- 10:25>> Speaker A: Dang. Yeah. All right. If you know the
- 10:27context of that because you listen to the prequels.
- 10:30Yes. That's pretty
- 10:33brutal. All right,
- 10:35well, my name is Skyler. I'm the game
- 10:38master for this whole crazy benders and brews story
- 10:41that we've been bending and brewing all this time.
- 10:44And an interesting fact about me
- 10:47is that I
- 10:50have a book in my car that's been
- 10:53there for three years now, and
- 10:56it's not very long, and I have not finished
- 10:59it yet, and Michaela likes to make fun of me
- 11:02for it. And, ah, if I'm being honest,
- 11:04it's kind of a fair point, kinda.
- 11:07and to make it even worse, I was at the
- 11:10bookstore not too long ago, and I bought a new
- 11:13book, and I said, I'm not going to read this one until I finish
- 11:16the one that's in my car. So it's all across.
- 11:19>> Speaker E: Any more of the one in your car?
- 11:20>> Speaker A: Nope.
- 11:21>> Speaker F: Right.
- 11:22>> Speaker A: But I'll get there. I'm sure I will. anyways,
- 11:25so this non reader over here, at, least
- 11:27Brock can't get mad at him. And with
- 11:30that, we are going to jump into episode one of
- 11:33season three.
- 11:38All right.
- 11:39>> Speaker D: And we're back.
- 11:40>> Speaker A: And again, I cannot reiterate this
- 11:43enough. If you have any questions
- 11:46or need any remembrances about season two, please
- 11:49check out our season two recap episode
- 11:51or go back and re listen to
- 11:54all season two. That's an option. It is
- 11:57an option. We don't delete our episodes after we
- 12:00post them, so you are more than welcome to go check them out,
- 12:02give us a few extra downloads,
- 12:05and recheck, out season two. But
- 12:08highlights to, what happened between
- 12:10the end of season two and where you guys are at
- 12:13now. you guys rested at the
- 12:16rescue team squadron facility, their new
- 12:19one after you escaped their old one, which you had
- 12:22snuck into and gotten past the
- 12:24villainous, gaze
- 12:27of Wang Long, General Wang Long, the fire nation
- 12:30general, who was kind of looking for any rescue
- 12:33team squadron files or paperwork
- 12:36or maps or anything secretive that he needed to get
- 12:39his hands on. you guys snuck into the facility. You
- 12:42burned up those documents. You found the
- 12:44Kalimba that Mr. Okaron had sent
- 12:47Mayu Yinyu and which was supposed to end up in the
- 12:50hands of Guo. You got that back, and then you
- 12:53escaped. And then what happened after that? You
- 12:56guys made it back to the rescue team squadron
- 12:59new base. Mika's dad had to take
- 13:02off along with Sora, saying that he'd see you
- 13:04guys again. Of course, he knew that you guys had kind of
- 13:07your own mission, and even though you guys were given sort of
- 13:10honorary memberships to the rescue team
- 13:13squadron, again, everybody kind of understood that
- 13:16you are on a different mission than being rebels against
- 13:19the fire nation right now. You guys have something
- 13:22else that's on your minds, and they're totally understanding for that. They
- 13:25let you rest up. You guys wake up the next day,
- 13:28Mika's dad, Mactook, has headed out.
- 13:30he's gone with Sora and maybe a couple other
- 13:33members. mayu Yinyu also went along with him. So those
- 13:36guys have all headed out, leaving you guys to your
- 13:39own devices, feeling refreshed and ready to go about
- 13:42your day. and you guys have the Kalimba that
- 13:45was left to you by Mr. Okuron specifically
- 13:48for Guo. What
- 13:51would you like to do?
- 13:52>> Speaker C: Guo is going to try to
- 13:55compose a song titled dad's
- 13:57away.
- 14:00>> Speaker A: Okay. And he's just plucking away at
- 14:03the Kalimba, trying to come up with this
- 14:06song. All right. Does he have
- 14:08lyrics? No, not yet. All right.
- 14:11>> Speaker C: He's going to get his songwriting
- 14:13processes. He kind of likes
- 14:17makes up words like, dad's.
- 14:22Not a great start, but.
- 14:23>> Speaker G: No, that's good.
- 14:24>> Speaker A: I'm excited to hear the final version of this
- 14:27by the end of season. Three, I'm sure.
- 14:29>> Speaker C: Maybe it'll be a seashanty.
- 14:32Dad's away.
- 14:35>> Speaker A: I guess that's not a Columbus sound,
- 14:37but we'll figure it out. We'll figure it out.
- 14:41>> Speaker H: Seashanties and Columbus don't typically
- 14:44pair hand in hand.
- 14:45>> Speaker G: Until now.
- 14:46>> Speaker E: Until now, we never said it had to
- 14:49be good.
- 14:50>> Speaker A: It's just sort of like, ah, a reggae
- 14:52style c sht with steel
- 14:55drums and a kalimba I feel like
- 14:58would all work. I don't know, something like that. I'm not a music person, but
- 15:01whatever the case, one thing that you were reminded of, is the
- 15:03song. It was the money m
- 15:07collection song, I think, from the
- 15:10carnival. And that was kind of the song
- 15:12that the music box that you guys had found at the
- 15:15previous clue played, that you
- 15:18recognized. And the note that you had received
- 15:21beforehand said that you needed to play that
- 15:24same tune when you got this
- 15:26Columba. Not that you can't also make your.
- 15:29>> Speaker C: Own song, but as he's trying to,
- 15:34what would you call it? Pluck out a song on the
- 15:36Columbia.
- 15:40He, just kind of out of habit, flows back into the
- 15:43ticket sales.
- 15:44>> Speaker A: The ticket sales song, that's what it was.
- 15:58Sang
- 16:20those last notes all of a sudden in a little
- 16:23compartment on the sort of that circle
- 16:26in the middle of the columba where it kind of like helps resonate the
- 16:29sound as you pluck away. Kind, of opens up
- 16:31underneath at the bottom of it. And
- 16:34there's a note. There's two
- 16:37notes, and then there is a
- 16:40map piece inside.
- 16:42>> Speaker C: Guys, check it out.
- 16:44>> Speaker A: One of the notes, says your name on it. One of the
- 16:47notes says brock's name on it. And then, of
- 16:50course, the map piece kind of fits in with the other map pieces that
- 16:53you have so far.
- 16:54>> Speaker C: Brock, this one has your name on it. Here, don't
- 16:57eat this.
- 16:59>> Speaker G: I mean, I'll hang on to it, but I love how
- 17:02we just went.
- 17:03>> Speaker A: Through a whole thing about how Brock doesn't know how to read. And then I
- 17:06told,
- 17:11why is there two sounds?
- 17:14It just needs one. I'm changing my name. This is
- 17:17stupid.
- 17:18>> Speaker H: I'm going to pat him on the back and go. You're getting.
- 17:21>> Speaker G: Thanks, Bill.
- 17:23>> Speaker H: You need help?
- 17:24>> Speaker G: No, I got this. Brock
- 17:27just kind of goes off to the side. You can see him, like, mouthing the
- 17:29sound, sure. Of the words.
- 17:32And, I'll save everyone the headache of
- 17:35me attempting, and I'll
- 17:38just give it to billery.
- 17:39>> Speaker A: Okay. I was going to say it'd be really funny if you
- 17:42just open up the note. And it's just a whole bunch of drawings.
- 17:45They're like caveman drawings. And hope that maybe
- 17:48you're able to get through this. That should be the
- 17:51first part of the note. Brock, I know you're not reading
- 17:53this. Bill, read this to Brock,
- 17:56would you?
- 17:59so do you want me to read that one first, or do you want me to do gua? It
- 18:02doesn't matter to me.
- 18:04>> Speaker G: Is it just the two notes?
- 18:05>> Speaker A: Those are the two notes that are in there.
- 18:06>> Speaker H: You're not going to send to me to read out loud?
- 18:08>> Speaker G: Yeah, I'll send them to you to.
- 18:10>> Speaker A: Read out loud, and then while you're receiving
- 18:12that, and then you can prepare to read it. I
- 18:15will read the one that Guo gets, if that's cool with you,
- 18:18Dave. Yeah. All right.
- 18:20Perfect,
- 18:22Cameron. There we go.
- 18:25Send message. Okay,
- 18:28perfect. yeah.
- 18:34all right, so this is what Guo's note says. Oh,
- 18:37sorry. I got to do it. Mr. Okeron, voice.
- 18:40>> Speaker I: You've suffered so much betrayal and
- 18:43abandonment in your life that I'm sure has left
- 18:45its effect on your ability to trust
- 18:48others and develop relationships.
- 18:51I know that you have a sense of longing and searching
- 18:54that's trapped within you and seems
- 18:56unquenchable. I can only hope that in
- 18:59the time that I had with you that you were able
- 19:02to see a, real bond between us, whether that be
- 19:05as friends or maybe even father and son.
- 19:08Because I always thought of you as my son,
- 19:10Guo, I also hope that you'll be able to
- 19:13grow and develop that relationship with
- 19:16mika, Bill, and Brock.
- 19:19I know all four of you are so different,
- 19:22and I've seen the ways you've all
- 19:24often clashed and fought with one another.
- 19:27But one thing I've always known is that
- 19:30you, Guo, are, the glue that seals them all
- 19:33together. You have an incredible amount of love
- 19:35to offer and a peacefulness that centers
- 19:38others. Never forget that. Follow
- 19:41your loves. Follow your passions, wherever
- 19:44those might lead you, my boy. You have a place in
- 19:47this world, and no one can take that from
- 19:50you.
- 19:51>> Speaker A: And that's the end sign.
- 19:52>> Speaker C: Mr. Okaron Guohan is,
- 19:55tearing up as he reads this
- 19:57naturally, and.
- 20:04>> Speaker A: So is Dave. Awesome. It is
- 20:06definitely an emotional moment. Do
- 20:09you think wo would have read that out loud or in
- 20:13his own,
- 20:13>> Speaker C: He would have read it himself while Bill
- 20:16was reading the.
- 20:18>> Speaker H: Oh, dang.
- 20:18>> Speaker G: Okay, probably Bill was working with.
- 20:24>> Speaker C: As Brock was struggling to get through the
- 20:27first line.
- 20:27>> Speaker A: Yes.
- 20:28>> Speaker G: Can I see the first line?
- 20:29>> Speaker A: I mean, all things considered, that note was written to
- 20:32you from Mr. Okron. So that is absolutely
- 20:35all yours.
- 20:40>> Speaker G: Hey, that's my name.
- 20:42>> Speaker A: Good job.
- 20:43>> Speaker D: Good job.
- 20:44>> Speaker H: Yeah, Brock, I can. Let me see here.
- 20:48It says, Brock, I know you're not really one
- 20:51for mental puzzles and prefer to solve problems through
- 20:54your strength and force. There's nothing wrong
- 20:57with this. And contrary to what others might have said,
- 20:59sometimes fighting and force is the
- 21:02solution, even though I myself am an
- 21:05adamant pacifist. With that
- 21:08being said, the one thing you're missing is reliance on
- 21:11those around you. Learning to rely on others and work
- 21:13alongside others will give you the strength of 100 men.
- 21:17So with that being said, know that this
- 21:19coming trial will require you to do just that.
- 21:22You can't do everything yourself, although you've
- 21:25tried your independence, truly a
- 21:27benefit to those around you who rely on you. But
- 21:30don't forget that others need to pull their weight sometimes, too.
- 21:33And you deserve a break from time to time.
- 21:36>> Speaker A: Oh, shoot, there's more.
- 21:38>> Speaker H: There's more.
- 21:40>> Speaker A: I was late. Oh, shoot, there's
- 21:42more.
- 21:44>> Speaker H: Lift the page.
- 21:45>> Speaker A: Yes, you turn the page over to the other side.
- 21:47>> Speaker H: With that being m said, here's your next
- 21:49destination. I'm going to simply give it to you
- 21:52since the real tasks will come when you arrive at the location.
- 21:55And my hope is that Madame Yang
- 21:58wouldn't have even made it this far with the clues I left
- 22:00before. At the north end of Yu dao, you'll see
- 22:03the inlet of a tributary.
- 22:06Follow it for about a day's journey on foot. You
- 22:09wrote tributary in your letter, Brock. I find
- 22:12that funny.
- 22:14>> Speaker A: Again. He probably just assumed that Bill was going to read it
- 22:17for him.
- 22:17>> Speaker G: Yeah. Anyway, I hope so.
- 22:20>> Speaker H: Follow it for about a day's journey on foot, and you'll
- 22:22find the end of it, which stems out into a crescent shape.
- 22:25>> Speaker A: Another. Okay.
- 22:26>> Speaker D: Wow.
- 22:26>> Speaker H: He really expected someone else to read for you.
- 22:28>> Speaker A: Didn't.
- 22:33>> Speaker G: Follow Moon river?
- 22:35>> Speaker H: Uh-huh you'll see what you're looking for within
- 22:38the side of the mountain there fairly quickly.
- 22:41Find my old friend Goru Tabik,
- 22:43and he'll guide you the rest of the way through the portion of the
- 22:46journey. Good luck.
- 22:50>> Speaker G: I just kind of sit back.
- 22:53See, he wants you guys pulling your weight around here.
- 22:57>> Speaker A: I was kind of hoping that's what you'd get out of that.
- 22:59Huh?
- 23:00>> Speaker H: I think what he's afraid of is
- 23:03what happened the one time we were in the
- 23:06mountainside.
- 23:08>> Speaker G: Yeah, what about it?
- 23:10>> Speaker H: Well, remember when you went a little too hard
- 23:13and you broke your
- 23:16foot and also damaged your arm and
- 23:19I had to carry you out of a mountain?
- 23:21>> Speaker G: But you know what didn't happen.
- 23:24We didn't die. Okay, we
- 23:27got to blow up. Oh, no, we
- 23:29didn't blow it up because it was all souls day, but we
- 23:32were about to blow it up.
- 23:34>> Speaker H: We did blow it up.
- 23:35>> Speaker G: We did blow it up.
- 23:37>> Speaker A: We spared the old man so much remembrance.
- 23:40>> Speaker H: We spared the old man who's still at the old folks home, who
- 23:43you've never visited once,
- 23:45whatever.
- 23:46>> Speaker A: That's more of a you thing.
- 23:48>> Speaker G: You love pie show. That's kind of your thing. It's
- 23:51true.
- 23:51>> Speaker H: But he also likes war stories. You have a lot
- 23:54of those. Maybe you weren't in war, Brock, but
- 23:57you definitely have a lot of stories.
- 23:59>> Speaker G: Of know you're not wrong.
- 24:02>> Speaker A: That's true.
- 24:03>> Speaker G: Yeah, I guess you're,
- 24:06Maybe it's time I sit on the sidelines for this one. Just kind of
- 24:09kick back. I'll let you
- 24:12guys sort of take care know. I'll, let you take
- 24:15care of it. I'm going to just hang back.
- 24:17>> Speaker H: Don't think that's what Mr. Rokron meant either,
- 24:20Brock.
- 24:20>> Speaker A: what do you mean?
- 24:21>> Speaker H: I think he meant you just need to not rush into
- 24:23everything head first.
- 24:25>> Speaker G: But that's like my thing. That's like my whole thing.
- 24:28>> Speaker H: Exactly. Mr. Okeron's point in
- 24:31this letter.
- 24:37>> Speaker A: So with that, your next task is kind of
- 24:40presented to you. You need to get to this, what
- 24:43is called a tributary, which is a river. It's
- 24:46basically, yeah, just a river that runs in and then kind of comes to an end that
- 24:49stems off of an ocean, or is
- 24:52my best understanding from the research that
- 24:55I did, which was very short.
- 24:58Done shortly. Done. but whatever the case, I'm
- 25:01pretty sure that's the accurate terminology. You need to follow
- 25:04this to where there is a crescent shape
- 25:07kind of way that it kind of stems outward, and
- 25:09in amidst that crescent shape, you'll find a
- 25:12mountain. And apparently his Friend, his old
- 25:15friend, guru tapik, I'm just going to tell you that's
- 25:18what it is now, how it's pronounced. and he'll guide you
- 25:21the rest of the way, whatever it is that whatever Mr.
- 25:24O'Gran left behind, based on.
- 25:29>> Speaker G: This tribuche.
- 25:32>> Speaker D: Tribuche.
- 25:33>> Speaker A: as you guys are kind of head
- 25:36over to that same,
- 25:39section where there's an
- 25:41earthbender guy that's at the bottom, and he kind of raises you up on a
- 25:44platform that's almost like an elevator, in a sense,
- 25:47and puts, you back up onto kind of
- 25:50the southern outskirts of
- 25:53Udao, and you
- 25:55could cross through town to get
- 25:58to this, river or you could try to take
- 26:01kind of around the town to get there.
- 26:04What are you guys going about this?
- 26:06>> Speaker G: Well, normally, Brock would just sort
- 26:09of conjure, his roller blades and
- 26:12just blade his way around.
- 26:13>> Speaker A: Sure.
- 26:14>> Speaker G: I suppose now that Mr. Okaron wants me to
- 26:18sort of wait on these guys.
- 26:22>> Speaker A: I made, so many mistakes writing that.
- 26:26>> Speaker G: Knew exactly what he meant. Ah, he knew what he was
- 26:29saying.
- 26:29>> Speaker E: He knew.
- 26:32>> Speaker G: He knew who he was writing. For brock
- 26:35to read this.
- 26:36>> Speaker A: That's true.
- 26:38>> Speaker H: A lot of big words.
- 26:40>> Speaker G: A lot of big words. I don't know what he was thinking
- 26:43in his.
- 26:51I would suggest going straight through. Know
- 26:53quickest way to. You said it's on the north
- 26:56side.
- 26:57>> Speaker A: Yeah, north side of town is when the tributary kind of
- 26:59begins. Also, keep in mind that he said that it was about
- 27:02a day's journey, to get you to where the
- 27:05crescent shape kind of outpires.
- 27:08Feel like I'm making up words. and in case you
- 27:11guys needed a refresher,
- 27:15when you were kind of tasked with this journey,
- 27:17the guy back at the funeral told you that after
- 27:20about a week's time, they would have to put the
- 27:23tea shop up for auction. And you guys
- 27:26are currently about three days into
- 27:29that seven day span.
- 27:31>> Speaker E: We're, like, halfway through.
- 27:32>> Speaker A: You're about halfway through. And you also have to keep in
- 27:35mind, you had to get back in time.
- 27:37>> Speaker E: Let's steal some horses.
- 27:39>> Speaker G: Hey, I like.
- 27:42That's two votes for stealing horses.
- 27:44>> Speaker A: That's two votes right off the bat.
- 27:47>> Speaker H: First off, we're going to a river. Why would we need horses?
- 27:50>> Speaker G: We need, like, seahorses.
- 27:51>> Speaker E: Yeah.
- 27:54>> Speaker H: I mean, in this world, that could be a real.
- 27:56>> Speaker A: So many dumb members of this
- 27:59seahorses.
- 28:00>> Speaker H: Okay, this is a great idea. Let's go
- 28:02find some seahorses.
- 28:04>> Speaker G: Yeah, let's go.
- 28:06>> Speaker A: Are you going into town to find these seahorses?
- 28:09>> Speaker H: Wait, shouldn't we been like, well, we're.
- 28:10>> Speaker A: All trying to keep cover in the sea.
- 28:12>> Speaker H: We just raided
- 28:15a fire nation controlled
- 28:18building.
- 28:18>> Speaker E: They literally cannot prove that it was us.
- 28:20>> Speaker G: You know what? Tell you what. I'll get us all clipboards. I'll make us all
- 28:23clipboards.
- 28:24>> Speaker A: Oh, no. The clipboards again, and then we'll be
- 28:26fine.
- 28:27>> Speaker H: If four people have clip rocks, a.
- 28:29>> Speaker G: One trick pony, won't they be looking for
- 28:32a guy with a clipboard?
- 28:35>> Speaker H: Especially after the factory incident?
- 28:37>> Speaker G: You know what? You're right.
- 28:38>> Speaker E: Give us all some.
- 28:39>> Speaker A: After you guys left the whole place, like, falling
- 28:42apart, the dude that was in charge just kind of standing there,
- 28:45and he goes, wait a minute. I don't think those
- 28:48guys are real OSHa agents.
- 28:50>> Speaker E: Where's the dude?
- 28:51>> Speaker G: You know what? You're right. I'll earth bend us some
- 28:54ladders.
- 28:54>> Speaker A: That would have been such a great post credit scene
- 28:57ladders.
- 28:58>> Speaker G: You can get anywhere with a clipboard or a
- 29:00ladder.
- 29:02>> Speaker A: The right costume and a ladder.
- 29:06>> Speaker H: Why don't we just go walk along the water? I'm sure fire nation
- 29:08aren't around the water.
- 29:09>> Speaker E: We don't even need a walk. He can just
- 29:12earth.
- 29:14>> Speaker G: That's way less fun.
- 29:16>> Speaker E: I meant more like roller skates so we can ride on through.
- 29:18But that works, too.
- 29:20>> Speaker H: I prefer going along the river because we have to go
- 29:23down river.
- 29:25>> Speaker A: We kind of have to go upriver in a way.
- 29:27>> Speaker H: Make us a boat with paddles.
- 29:28>> Speaker E: If we have to go up, we can't just lay.
- 29:30>> Speaker G: You know how heavy we have. Stone oars
- 29:33are going to be waterbender.
- 29:35>> Speaker E: Yeah, dude. you make the boat, I'll push
- 29:37us.
- 29:38>> Speaker G: All right, fine.
- 29:40>> Speaker A: You're going to make a stone boat.
- 29:42>> Speaker G: Well, I mean, they make boats out of concrete all the time. If it's got the
- 29:45right shape.
- 29:46>> Speaker E: Can I make a water boat?
- 29:47>> Speaker G: You know how heavy cruise ships are?
- 29:49>> Speaker A: You can try. Yeah, I mean, I get the
- 29:52concept just about buoyancy.
- 29:54>> Speaker G: Yeah,
- 30:00brock understands buoyancy also.
- 30:02>> Speaker E: Guys, it doesn't have to be rock. You could just make it like
- 30:05mud.
- 30:06>> Speaker H: Just pack it rocks down here.
- 30:08>> Speaker E: Beavers make their dams out of mud.
- 30:10>> Speaker A: And dock down here because came in and adopted.
- 30:12>> Speaker H: I can see a dock right there.
- 30:14>> Speaker A: We see one of your pirate ship in the dock.
- 30:17>> Speaker E: Why are you taking away our creative abilities?
- 30:19>> Speaker G: Yeah, why do you hate mean?
- 30:22I'm all for.
- 30:23>> Speaker E: No, we're trying to live off the land.
- 30:25>> Speaker A: Well, I do think that bill's, perception
- 30:28does bring up something important, which is that you
- 30:30do see that there are, in fact, docks and there are.
- 30:33>> Speaker E: Boats that these seahorses. Let's go.
- 30:35>> Speaker A: And one of those boats that you see is the
- 30:38familiar sight of the bloody borcupines
- 30:41pirate ship which you have escaped from into the
- 30:44city of Udao.
- 30:45>> Speaker H: Let's not go that way. Actually,
- 30:48let's do the concrete boat idea.
- 30:50>> Speaker E: No, we changed it. We're going to make out of
- 30:53mud and sticks like the beaver cat.
- 30:56>> Speaker A: So it's like a raft.
- 30:57>> Speaker G: Like a raft.
- 30:58>> Speaker C: What's wrong with walking?
- 31:01>> Speaker E: It's not fast.
- 31:03>> Speaker A: What's wrong with me?
- 31:13>> Speaker B: Hey, everyone. Skyler here, your friendly neighborhood game
- 31:16master.
- 31:17>> Speaker A: I just wanted to take a moment to let you know that we at.
- 31:19>> Speaker B: Benders and brews have been working our creative juices extra

- 31:47There's all of those and more and even more down
- 31:50the road when we.

- 32:09Thanks for listening.
- 32:10>> Speaker A: Let's get back to the show.
- 32:13>> Speaker G: Takes way too long. Not as fun.
- 32:16>> Speaker H: Okay.
- 32:17>> Speaker A: I mean, you might be able to find some Ostrich
- 32:19horses in town.
- 32:20>> Speaker H: If the boat idea doesn't work, we'll walk.
- 32:23How's that sound?
- 32:24>> Speaker E: You can walk in the boat.
- 32:26>> Speaker G: I could probably bend just a slab
- 32:29of stone, and we just all sit.
- 32:31>> Speaker H: On it, and then the water bender just moves it along the river.
- 32:34That probably would just work just as fine, actually.
- 32:36>> Speaker E: Well, hopefully, we all are fantastical in
- 32:39our bending abilities. Let's go.
- 32:41>> Speaker G: Yeah. All of us. All of our bending collectively.
- 32:44>> Speaker H: Especially me.
- 32:46>> Speaker E: Especially you.
- 32:47>> Speaker H: Especially bill.
- 32:49>> Speaker G: Who's a stick bender?
- 32:51>> Speaker H: I'm not a woodbender.
- 32:54>> Speaker G: Can't make us a boat.
- 32:55>> Speaker A: It's going to be a small boat. All right, so, yeah, explain to me.
- 32:58Explain to me.
- 32:59>> Speaker G: So, I think we're just going to go onto the side of this
- 33:03tribute.
- 33:04>> Speaker A: Okay? So you're going to just go straight towards where the
- 33:07tributary. Kind of like stem inlets from the.
- 33:09>> Speaker H: Ocean, away from city.
- 33:12>> Speaker A: Okay.
- 33:12>> Speaker G: And away from the pirate ship.
- 33:13>> Speaker A: Yeah. Okay. And
- 33:16then we'll go with that. We'll start
- 33:19there. Let's start with there. Okay, so, as you
- 33:22guys are walking along, kind of,
- 33:25neither towards the coastal edge of
- 33:27udao. That'll eventually lead to where this inlet is,
- 33:30which is kind of a beeline path from where you've come out of
- 33:33the RTs facility
- 33:35towards the north side, where you know that
- 33:38at some point you're going to hit this tributary, obviously. Right.
- 33:41if you go completely around it, that would be a
- 33:44feat that would take you quite some time. and
- 33:47you can see in the distance, you see the kind of dip in
- 33:50the land where the tributary probably goes
- 33:53in from. And there's, three
- 33:56figures that are sitting just by a
- 33:58tree that almost look like they, are
- 34:01waiting for you. And they're sitting right by the
- 34:04pathway that kind of, like, leads out of town, north from
- 34:07the city, which you've kind of intersected with
- 34:10almost to some extent. And the closer you get,
- 34:12you realize two things. One,
- 34:15one of them is the pirate captain.
- 34:18And the other two are members of the pirate crew. That's not
- 34:21the second thing. The second thing is that they're looking right at
- 34:24you.
- 34:24>> Speaker G: This is the pirate crew that we escaped from, not the one that we help,
- 34:27correct.
- 34:29>> Speaker A: Well, both is the,
- 34:33water. They're not on the water.
- 34:35>> Speaker H: They are on the water.
- 34:36>> Speaker G: No, my best friend there, Banjo,
- 34:39who are the two?
- 34:40>> Speaker A: Bango, the guy that you tried to. And he had just no
- 34:43interest in that.
- 34:43>> Speaker G: No, my best friend.
- 34:44>> Speaker A: Bang. The closer you get, you see three
- 34:47people. You see Captain Rockfoot, of course,
- 34:50you see, boatswain tomo. She was the
- 34:53earthbender woman. I, think that
- 34:55was the one that Mika, you were throwing
- 34:58spears with, I think.
- 35:01And then last but not least is the
- 35:04fan favorite deck hand,
- 35:06calconi, the gentleman
- 35:09pirate.
- 35:11>> Speaker H: And I go way back.
- 35:13>> Speaker A: You do? And just as you're approaching, you
- 35:15see the captain just about to say something
- 35:18to you. And then all of a sudden, Calconi raises
- 35:21his hand and starts waving excitedly. And he
- 35:24says, I do say. It is
- 35:27wonderful to. And all of a sudden, the captain
- 35:30kind of punches him in the stomach.
- 35:31>> Speaker D: And says, I was the one who was going to be doing the
- 35:34introductions, Calconi.
- 35:38Anyways, well,
- 35:41the four of you, I
- 35:44thought I might be able to catch you before you
- 35:47left town. What have you
- 35:50to say? Jumping off me ship into the
- 35:52waters, swimming to shore and disappearing into you
- 35:55dow.
- 35:56>> Speaker G: We can start off with a you're welcome for saving your
- 35:59ship.
- 36:01>> Speaker D: Yes, the gator shark. It's something that's come
- 36:04and gone.
- 36:05>> Speaker D: But we're after the booty and not
- 36:08your. Well, I guess kind of yours in a
- 36:11roundabout way.
- 36:12>> Speaker G: Well, that's ironic, because I'm after a booty on your ship.
- 36:14As.
- 36:22>> Speaker A: Did Captain
- 36:24Rockfoot blushes.
- 36:29>> Speaker D: No, not that kind of booty. I'm talking
- 36:32about this treasure you're after.
- 36:35>> Speaker E: Well, you want to know something?
- 36:38>> Speaker D: I.
- 36:38>> Speaker E: We already found it.
- 36:40>> Speaker D: Perfect.
- 36:42>> Speaker H: M. We don't got no more.
- 36:44>> Speaker D: What?
- 36:45>> Speaker E: We can draw you a map to where it is.
- 36:49>> Speaker A: Are you trying to trick?
- 36:52>> Speaker E: If that's what it takes, you bet you.
- 36:54>> Speaker A: Well, I'm just saying there's, like, literally a move for that if you want
- 36:57to give that a shot.
- 36:58>> Speaker H: Fake map. Ready?
- 36:59>> Speaker A: Well, she said she'd draw him up. Okay,
- 37:03but I whispered that to her.
- 37:05>> Speaker D: Do you have a fake map?
- 37:06>> Speaker H: Do you have a fake map?
- 37:07>> Speaker D: Ready?
- 37:09>> Speaker H: What if we just told him we found it
- 37:12and then the Fire nation stole it from us and
- 37:15we're running from the fire nation? They believe.
- 37:17>> Speaker D: I'm a little confused. You said, you could drop a
- 37:20map, and then you just started whispering.
- 37:23>> Speaker H: Yeah, we're trying. We're trying to remember
- 37:26where we're not
- 37:29familiar with Udao.
- 37:31>> Speaker E: Here's the deal, Mr. Captain, sir.
- 37:34We had to bury the treasure. Hide.
- 37:37Aye, because there was some sketchy,
- 37:40fire nation people after us.
- 37:43It'll be a race between you and them to see who gets there
- 37:45first.
- 37:48>> Speaker D: You're trying to tell me that you found
- 37:51the treasure and immediately
- 37:54buried it back?
- 37:56>> Speaker E: I didn't say immediately buried it. I
- 37:58said people were chasing us,
- 38:01so we had to hide it.
- 38:03>> Speaker D: Since you jumped off me, we could.
- 38:05>> Speaker E: Have just hit it like 2 hours ago, bro.
- 38:09>> Speaker A: He kind of, like, looks past you down the path that you
- 38:12just came.
- 38:12>> Speaker D: And he said, good to know.
- 38:16>> Speaker H: Yeah, it's fresh.
- 38:18>> Speaker A: I need you to do the trick, though. I need you to do, I don't know what
- 38:21the role is for that.
- 38:22>> Speaker E: Creativity.
- 38:24>> Speaker A: Thank you.
- 38:28>> Speaker G: It's a one on die
- 38:31so that.
- 38:31>> Speaker E: I have an eight plus one nine.
- 38:33>> Speaker A: All right, so reading the result.
- 38:36>> Speaker E: For a nine on a seven and nine,
- 38:39pick one.
- 38:41So, they either stumble,
- 38:44take plus one four to acting against them. They act
- 38:47foolishly. The GM tells you what additional opportunity
- 38:50they give you. They overcommit. They are deceived for some time.
- 38:53>> Speaker A: All right, so you get to pick one of those options.
- 38:57Let me know which one you'd like.
- 38:59>> Speaker E: I'm going to say they overcommit. They're deceived for some
- 39:02time.
- 39:02>> Speaker A: All right.
- 39:04>> Speaker D: All right, let's see this map
- 39:06then.
- 39:09>> Speaker E: let me just drop real quick.
- 39:11>> Speaker D: That would be great, but I'm going.
- 39:13>> Speaker E: To need Bill's help.
- 39:15>> Speaker D: Okay, well, get to it, boy.
- 39:18>> Speaker H: Hey, go talk to the captain.
- 39:20>> Speaker G: Yeah, I'll walk up. All right.
- 39:25I kind of, like, lean on his shoulder. I'm like,
- 39:29so, she ever talk about
- 39:31me?
- 39:33>> Speaker D: Who in blue blazes are you talking about,
- 39:36boy?
- 39:37>> Speaker G: what was her name?
- 39:38>> Speaker H: Is she the one?
- 39:39>> Speaker A: Right?
- 39:39>> Speaker G: Are you asking him? No, I'm asking you.
- 39:43Is she the one that's there. No, not
- 39:45the.
- 39:46>> Speaker A: There's like.
- 39:47>> Speaker G: And there's, like, the older woman.
- 39:49>> Speaker H: Okay, I've got a name of one of them, which was Sue.
- 39:52>> Speaker A: Sue is the waterbender.
- 39:54>> Speaker G: I think sue was her friend.
- 39:57Rooney.
- 39:59>> Speaker A: Rooney is the old man that helped you guys at
- 40:01the.
- 40:07>> Speaker G: Rush, but I.
- 40:08>> Speaker A: Don'T think it is.
- 40:09>> Speaker G: No, it was, like, an older woman.
- 40:13It wasn't Mika's friend. It was
- 40:16like. Wasn't sue, was it
- 40:18sue? Was
- 40:21that the lady from the theater?
- 40:24>> Speaker A: There was the lady from theater, but she wasn't part
- 40:27of the pirates. Zazu.
- 40:28>> Speaker G: But I'm pretty sure that was a. Oh, man. Well, then that takes away
- 40:31all my.
- 40:34>> Speaker H: Because isn't the one girl here.
- 40:36>> Speaker A: Yeah, but it was.
- 40:37>> Speaker G: I don't think it was her. I think there were two women
- 40:40because there was one that I tried to just chat up while we were,
- 40:43like, swabbing the poop deck or whatever.
- 40:45>> Speaker H: The waterbender, who's the navigation expert.
- 40:48I think she was older, so I think it would be. Tomo
- 40:51was the only other girl.
- 40:52>> Speaker C: Tomo.
- 40:52>> Speaker A: Yeah.
- 40:53>> Speaker G: So Tomo is the woman.
- 40:54>> Speaker A: And it's possible that sue was the one that maybe Mika was
- 40:57throwing spears with.
- 40:58>> Speaker G: Okay, so Tomo is with.
- 41:00>> Speaker A: Yeah, she's in this group. Oh.
- 41:02>> Speaker G: So I'll sauce her up to
- 41:06you.
- 41:06>> Speaker G: I liked our conversation.
- 41:09you want to get out of here and maybe grab some
- 41:12tea? I know a good place around here.
- 41:14>> Speaker A: Okay, so, you asked her if there was. You said there was a tea
- 41:17shop.
- 41:17>> Speaker G: That, while they're
- 41:20drawing that map, I got
- 41:23a little thirsty, bree burying that treasure. You
- 41:26want to hit up a tea shop around here, maybe play
- 41:29some pie show?
- 41:30>> Speaker F: tempting as that might be, I'm not really a big fan of
- 41:33you.
- 41:33>> Speaker A: Down, you know?
- 41:35>> Speaker G: Me neither. Let's get out of. Let's just.
- 41:38Let's just find a little farm, maybe build a
- 41:41house, maybe just forget
- 41:44all our troubles.
- 41:46>> Speaker F: I don't think I can get past my troubles. I got a
- 41:49lot of revenge to take.
- 41:52Or I can get past my troubles.
- 41:55>> Speaker G: You're driven. And that's what I love about you.
- 41:58That's why you're so hot.
- 42:00But
- 42:03I think you and I would be just so great.
- 42:06Just get out of here. Just find a little farm, little
- 42:09plot of land out in the mountains,
- 42:12just the two of us. You know what I'm saying?
- 42:14>> Speaker A: You want to push your luck?
- 42:16>> Speaker G: Am I actually just going to retire in the mountains with this
- 42:19woman? I'm just gone.
- 42:21>> Speaker A: It's a risky situation, and I want to see
- 42:24how successful you are in this, ten.
- 42:29>> Speaker F: I tell you what, I'll let you take me out for that
- 42:32drink first, but
- 42:35you're going to have to.
- 42:38>> Speaker E: Do.
- 42:39>> Speaker F: Whatever I say when we get into you now.
- 42:41>> Speaker G: Yes, ma'am.
- 42:44It's a deal. I'll take
- 42:47little miss what's her name
- 42:50and Tomo for the
- 42:53fourth time
- 42:57and, I'll just sort of saunter off to the
- 43:00nearest tea shop with her and just sort of go on this date
- 43:03with an older lady.
- 43:04>> Speaker F: She shouts back, captain, we'll be right
- 43:06back. I'm going to go get some tea.
- 43:08>> Speaker D: And he's like, well,
- 43:11this whole situation really
- 43:14did not pan out at all the way I
- 43:17foresaw it to. Not the
- 43:20DM speaking.
- 43:22>> Speaker A: okay, yeah, it's not far to
- 43:25get back into town, but yeah, you head back into town
- 43:28and there's the tea shop. And it's the
- 43:31same one that those two old guys were playing pie show
- 43:34in. and they see you two walk in and
- 43:36they wave at you because they recognize you.
- 43:42Big whippersnapper that he was
- 43:44flirting with you.
- 43:46>> Speaker D: Dang, I can't remember what these guys.
- 43:47>> Speaker B: Names were because I never thought we'd.
- 43:48>> Speaker A: Freaking see him again.
- 43:53But we'll, just roll with it for now.
- 43:55>> Speaker G: He couldn't resist two old men.
- 43:58>> Speaker H: The Riz tism.
- 43:59>> Speaker G: Yeah. What's up, guys? just brought in my lady friend here. We're
- 44:02just going to get some tea and catch up a little bit. Talk
- 44:05about the sea. tea and ketchup.
- 44:08Tea and ketchup in the sea combo.
- 44:10>> Speaker H: No wonder he was in the back.
- 44:13>> Speaker D: What a come.
- 44:14>> Speaker G: And Brock walks up to the front and
- 44:17he tries to read the menu.
- 44:21>> Speaker D: This is where everything goes
- 44:23downhill.
- 44:25>> Speaker G: I'd like one tea, please.
- 44:29He reads the menu very quickly,
- 44:31realizes he can't read. He's like,
- 44:34I'll have my usual kind of
- 44:36winks. Just
- 44:39kind of winks at the guy at the front
- 44:42here and whatever my lady wants. And then we just kind
- 44:45of. I honestly thought it was going to be a
- 44:48side quest. I didn't expect this to be fleshed
- 44:50out.
- 44:53>> Speaker A: The person at the front counter of the tea shop,
- 44:56which I think we established was a hot leaf
- 44:59juice, if I remember correctly.
- 45:04Well, no, I mean, it's not like Madame Yang is standing right there and
- 45:07she's like, where?
- 45:08>> Speaker E: Still hate them?
- 45:09>> Speaker H: No, we still hate them.
- 45:10>> Speaker A: Well, I understand. Yeah.
- 45:12>> Speaker E: We're not supporting their business.
- 45:15>> Speaker G: You think I could read hot leaf juice on the
- 45:18sign? The
- 45:21pink and the logo M. You know what? I won't
- 45:24tip
- 45:27your foot down, aren't you? I won't tip
- 45:30them.
- 45:30>> Speaker A: Wow.
- 45:31>> Speaker E: All you're doing is making the poor worker suffer.
- 45:34Man treats their server.
- 45:37>> Speaker G: Fine, I'll tip them, but I'll steal their cups.
- 45:40I don't know what I'll do with them. I'll just have cups.
- 45:43>> Speaker E: Just break them. Oopsie. Was an accident.
- 45:46>> Speaker H: That's your fifth one.
- 45:48>> Speaker C: Hot leaf juice had the
- 45:50signature Stanley cup.
- 45:53>> Speaker A: Signature Stanley cup from target.
- 45:58Oh, Dave, hitting us with the trendy
- 46:01topics. the young lady that's working the
- 46:04front counter has this, almost abnormally
- 46:06large smile on her face and she goes, I'm sorry,
- 46:09sir, you're going to.
- 46:11>> Speaker F: Have to tell me exactly what that usual
- 46:13is. I don't remember you.
- 46:17>> Speaker G: why don't you order and what is there?
- 46:20Tomo? Yes, okay, Tomo, why
- 46:23don't you order? Why don't you order and then I'll.
- 46:25>> Speaker F: Okay, let's see here.
- 46:28I'll have one of those fancy
- 46:29pineapple mango fruit
- 46:32teas that I've seen with the. I'll add
- 46:35the herbal, essence to.
- 46:37>> Speaker G: It and I'll just make it two of those.
- 46:40>> Speaker F: Absolutely, sir. That'll be
- 46:43for yuan.
- 46:45>> Speaker G: Okay. And I think actually I've been keeping
- 46:48track. I have everyone.
- 46:52I'll just drop a fat stack of
- 46:55yuan and I'll just slowly count out.
- 46:57>> Speaker A: One.
- 46:59>> Speaker G: Because I'm the one who just has the bag.
- 47:01>> Speaker A: I don't remember the exact situation but I do explicitly
- 47:04remember for whatever reason. I think maybe it's just because Brock
- 47:07volunteered but everybody was like, well, let's all just have
- 47:10all of our money in one place. You are the only for when
- 47:13we need to do stuff with it.
- 47:15>> Speaker G: Yeah, I have two copper in online m
- 47:18and I'm not sure if I'm supposed
- 47:22we have like almost 2000
- 47:25currency.
- 47:25>> Speaker A: Because obviously you didn't have to pay.
- 47:28>> Speaker G: the left it with all.
- 47:31>> Speaker H: With Brock.
- 47:32>> Speaker G: Yeah, that's on you.
- 47:33>> Speaker A: The only thing I think you've spent up until this point
- 47:36was the old man
- 47:38Rooney who you paid to guide you and you
- 47:41gave him like extra because you got him for two days or something. I
- 47:44don't remember what it was.
- 47:45>> Speaker G: Yeah, but yeah, we have like almost 2000. I've been keeping
- 47:48track. I'll drop
- 47:51the bag just so she knows I got it like that. But then I'll just
- 47:54slowly count out one.
- 47:55>> Speaker E: You know how to count, but you know how to read?
- 47:57>> Speaker A: Yeah.
- 47:58>> Speaker H: Okay, three counts, right?
- 48:00>> Speaker A: Four.
- 48:01>> Speaker G: And I'll just slide them
- 48:04and just do a wonderful strut
- 48:07back to the.
- 48:08>> Speaker F: Feel free to have a seat anywhere, and we'll bring
- 48:11those drinks out to you.
- 48:13>> Speaker G: Fantastic.
- 48:15>> Speaker E: Kind of creepy.
- 48:16>> Speaker A: awesome. So you guys go take a seat over
- 48:19off to the side, and,
- 48:22I'll jump back over to Mika, who are drying up
- 48:25a fantastic map to
- 48:27somewhere.
- 48:28>> Speaker E: Yeah. You want to know where?
- 48:30>> Speaker B: Please tell.
- 48:31>> Speaker E: the map leads to the burnt
- 48:34down fire nation thingy.
- 48:37>> Speaker H: The building they took.
- 48:37>> Speaker A: You mean rescue team
- 48:40squadron's old base?
- 48:41>> Speaker D: Yeah.
- 48:42>> Speaker A: Okay. All right.
- 48:43>> Speaker H: And we wrote underneath of it. It's on the third
- 48:46floor.
- 48:47>> Speaker A: Okay.
- 48:47>> Speaker H: And the hidden in the bathroom.
- 48:51>> Speaker G: Look for the flooded water.
- 48:55>> Speaker A: And the captain, he looks over this map for a second, and he
- 48:57says, bathroom?
- 48:59>> Speaker D: You say
- 49:02flooded water.
- 49:03>> Speaker E: You take a big dump,
- 49:06pass it off as that.
- 49:08>> Speaker A: He kind of shows it to calcone, and he.
- 49:11>> Speaker D: Well, shoot, that's pretty dang detailed, if you
- 49:14ask me. It doesn't feel like you're making it up.
- 49:17>> Speaker H: Good thing you guys are comfortable, around water.
- 49:20>> Speaker D: M normally, I'd have a bit of a grudge against you
- 49:23lot for the fact that you escaped our
- 49:26capture, but you did help with the
- 49:29gator shark situation, which was my true
- 49:31goal, after all.
- 49:33>> Speaker E: Yeah, we literally saved your butt.
- 49:35>> Speaker D: And if we get the treasure, then.
- 49:37>> Speaker G: We got no reason to hunt.
- 49:38>> Speaker D: Yes. My booty. Thank you. And if we
- 49:41get the treasure, as you promise, then I suppose
- 49:44we have no reason to hunt you any further. If we
- 49:47get the treasure like you promise. But if I
- 49:50don't, I will hunt you down
- 49:53and got you like a fish. What is that
- 49:56from?
- 49:56>> Speaker E: It's something.
- 49:57>> Speaker A: Yeah.
- 49:58>> Speaker H: Peter Pan, sure.
- 49:59>> Speaker E: No, that is not from Peter Pan.
- 50:02>> Speaker H: I don't like him.
- 50:02>> Speaker A: No.
- 50:03>> Speaker H: Oh, classic captain cook.
- 50:06>> Speaker E: Cook, join us on our discord channel for
- 50:09this lovely.
- 50:13>> Speaker A: And, with that, he kind of gives you guys
- 50:15a semi respectful nod.
- 50:17>> Speaker D: And he goes, calconi.
- 50:20Where did Tomo say she was going? Oh, I think, sir,
- 50:23that she was going into town for a spout of.
- 50:28Well, we'll meet back up with her later, maybe. Should
- 50:31we go through. Let's go through town first.
- 50:33>> Speaker A: Well, the map does say, sir, that.
- 50:35>> Speaker D: If we go through town, we'll eventually make it to
- 50:38the location of the treasure. So maybe we do
- 50:41go through town.
- 50:42>> Speaker A: First, let Tomo know where we are.
- 50:44>> Speaker D: Off to, and then head there
- 50:47after.
- 50:48>> Speaker A: I feel like I'm doing his voice different, but I kind of like
- 50:51it.
- 50:53Yeah, he's developing ever since.
- 50:56He just gets beat on so much. Every time he gets
- 50:59punched, his voice changes a little bit. And the
- 51:02captain says, yeah, I think.
- 51:03>> Speaker D: That'S a good plan. Calcone.
- 51:04>> Speaker A: And with that, the two head off into towards town.
- 51:07>> Speaker H: Bye, Calconi.
- 51:09>> Speaker D: Oh, good day to you, sir.
- 51:12>> Speaker H: He definitely does not remember me.
- 51:15I say to the other two as.
- 51:16>> Speaker A: They walk away, as you say
- 51:19goodbye, he turns on, he says, good day, bill,
- 51:22or something. I don't remember.
- 51:24>> Speaker D: Yeah, that was your.
- 51:25>> Speaker H: Yeah, the last time I saw him one on one, I knocked him out with
- 51:28my bow staff.
- 51:29>> Speaker G: just kind of say that to you guys.
- 51:30>> Speaker A: Top it off. You shoved him into a, ah, closet.
- 51:33>> Speaker H: Pushed him into a broom closet. And he couldn't fit
- 51:36because of his shoulders, so I had to guarantee
- 51:39drop kick him into it.
- 51:41>> Speaker A: He had horrible, kinks,
- 51:44in his neck.
- 51:45>> Speaker H: After that, the reason I had to go
- 51:48to desperate measures was because me and Okaron
- 51:51were escaping them, and he was the only guy guarding the ship
- 51:54before we took one of their sideboats.
- 51:56And so by knocking him out and shoving him into the broom
- 51:59closet, and then I barred the door so he couldn't
- 52:02follow us.
- 52:03>> Speaker E: Escaped him three times.
- 52:05>> Speaker D: Yeah.
- 52:06>> Speaker H: This is three times now.
- 52:07>> Speaker E: Three times a charm.
- 52:08>> Speaker A: He is. He is not.
- 52:10>> Speaker E: All right, well, we got to find Brock and get out of here.
- 52:13>> Speaker H: We can't find Brock. Why don't we just keep going?
- 52:15>> Speaker A: Well, I was just going to say,
- 52:18guys, we're actually headed in the same.
- 52:20>> Speaker H: Brock knows where to go, right?
- 52:23>> Speaker E: Just going to leave him behind?
- 52:24>> Speaker H: Well, he can defend himself. We both know that.
- 52:27>> Speaker E: But he's our friend.
- 52:30>> Speaker H: Okay, but he's on a date.
- 52:32>> Speaker E: She can come, too.
- 52:34>> Speaker H: I don't think she works for us
- 52:37or wants to help us.
- 52:39>> Speaker E: She wants to go with her lover boy.
- 52:42>> Speaker H: I think Brock's more interested in her than she is in
- 52:45him.
- 52:46>> Speaker A: Wow.
- 52:46>> Speaker E: what do you think? Whoa.
- 52:48>> Speaker C: Are we really sure that this guy's the
- 52:50captain?
- 52:52>> Speaker A: What?
- 52:53>> Speaker C: I don't see his hat.
- 53:00>> Speaker H: Did he have a hat on?
- 53:02>> Speaker A: No.
- 53:05>> Speaker G: Glow.
- 53:06>> Speaker H: Took all of them.
- 53:07>> Speaker G: I remember he kind of walked up after the
- 53:10captain said something. He's like, well,
- 53:13that's right, Gohan.
- 53:15>> Speaker H: You're the real captain now.
- 53:17>> Speaker A: I had you roll for it, dude. You rolled low and
- 53:20nobody was happy. I
- 53:23could jump over to, Brock and let you guys kind of
- 53:26decide what it is that you might want to do
- 53:28moving forward, because I've got kind of an interesting situation that's
- 53:31going to happen on that end.
- 53:33>> Speaker C: On my end,
- 53:35these guys just sitting, like,
- 53:38in the crossroads near the
- 53:41docks.
- 53:43>> Speaker A: So it was actually on your way to the tributary,
- 53:46and you could actually see basically the waters of the
- 53:48tributary, like, where it starts from, and then flows off towards the
- 53:51direction that you need to follow. there was, like, just a tree,
- 53:54and they were just kind of hanging out. there's a pathway that
- 53:57leads, like, a road that leads away from town, like, through the north side
- 54:00of town and then out into the distance. Also actually
- 54:03kind of follows the tributary, to be honest with you. and
- 54:06so you kind of gather that they figured if
- 54:09you guys were going to leave town from that direction, this would
- 54:12have been the way that you would have gone. And they kind of turned out
- 54:15right. Jumping over to Brock back at the tea
- 54:18shop, as you are sitting down,
- 54:20you are just about to strike up a
- 54:23conversation with Tomo when all of a sudden the tea shop
- 54:26doors fly open,
- 54:29and in walks
- 54:31two fire nation
- 54:33soldiers. And Wang
- 54:36long himself.
- 54:39Heavy boot steps
- 54:41fall against the wooden floor as they
- 54:44approach the front
- 54:47desk. And the young lady at the front
- 54:50desk, behind the cash register, the old
- 54:52timey little wooden box, says,
- 54:55welcome.
- 54:56>> Speaker B: General Wang Long, to hot leaf
- 54:59juice. How can I serve you today?
- 55:02>> Speaker A: And Wang long leans forward and he.
- 55:04>> Speaker I: Says, the boys and I will have
- 55:07the usual.
- 55:09>> Speaker A: And she says, right away, sir. she turns
- 55:12around and she heads off into the back, and within,
- 55:14like, 10 seconds, comes back with their
- 55:17tea, ready to go, hands it to them, and with
- 55:20that, they turn around, and they lean
- 55:23up against the counter for a little bit, and they just kind
- 55:26of scan the room.
- 55:28>> Speaker G: I see they remember his usual.
- 55:31I say, they come, I'm trying to.
- 55:32>> Speaker H: Be all coy,
- 55:35you know?
- 55:36>> Speaker F: She says, oh, yeah, I've heard of that guy.
- 55:38General, what did she say? Wang
- 55:41long.
- 55:41>> Speaker G: Wang long. You know, strangely enough, I know a guy named Wang
- 55:44Long who looks just like that guy.
- 55:47>> Speaker F: Oh, really?
- 55:47>> Speaker G: Yeah.
- 55:48>> Speaker F: I asked if they were twins, but that's not really how twins work with the
- 55:51names.
- 55:52>> Speaker G: No, probably not. In fact, that's probably the guy who imprisoned
- 55:55my entire family.
- 55:57>> Speaker A: She's not even drinking tea, but she goes,
- 55:59what? Yeah. and when she
- 56:02does this, of course, the eyes of Wang long and the soldiers kind of
- 56:05glance over to your table.
- 56:08>> Speaker G: Do you mind? I'm trying to speak with my lady over
- 56:10here. And so, as I was saying, yeah.
- 56:13>> Speaker A: This guy, the heavy
- 56:16footsteps approach your table, and Wang
- 56:19long just kind of leans forward and he says,
- 56:22I do much, and then he stops and.
- 56:24>> Speaker I: He goes, you look
- 56:27quite familiar.
- 56:29>> Speaker G: Well, have you ever been around a boss thing? Say, I
- 56:32mean, you might have seen my face on some posters. Did a
- 56:34little bit, of the earth thrumbles. That could have been, something.
- 56:37But, you know, if I've.
- 56:42You're not ringing a bell. Anyways, like I was saying. Yeah,
- 56:45this dude Wang long took my whole family from the
- 56:48farm.
- 56:48>> Speaker A: He slams his hand down on your table, and he says,
- 56:51I do not.
- 56:52>> Speaker I: See many signs from the earth
- 56:55rumble stadium circuit. But
- 56:58you do still look familiar.
- 57:02>> Speaker D: Where do I know you from?
- 57:05>> Speaker G: Boy, that sounds like a lot of not my
- 57:08problem. Like I was saying, my whole family
- 57:11was a cabbage farmer, right? We were cabbage family. And
- 57:14this dude Wang long comes and, you
- 57:17know, he actually has the same name as you guy. I don't know if that's, like,
- 57:20a common name in the fire nation, but, yeah. So he
- 57:23took the whole family and imprisoned us, right? And so
- 57:26then it was me and some other metal benders. We tunneled
- 57:29our way out from under the prison, and
- 57:31this idiot Wang Long can even find me. He's been
- 57:34looking for me for, like, years at this point, and this
- 57:37idiot has no idea where I
- 57:40am. Isn't that
- 57:43crazy? And by this point.
- 57:46>> Speaker A: So he took his hand. When you started telling the story,
- 57:49he took his hand off the table, just crossed them. and he's just been
- 57:52listening this whole time. And as he does this, as
- 57:54you're continuing to tell your story, the other two guards
- 57:57both kind of approach and start to surround your table.
- 58:00>> Speaker G: I mean, do you guys want to sit down or something? Like you're
- 58:03standing around? Are there, like, not tables around?
- 58:06>> Speaker A: I think you should stand up, because.
- 58:09>> Speaker I: You'Re coming with us.
- 58:11Broccoli.
- 58:13>> Speaker G: See, I knew you saw my posters around.
- 58:16I knew it. You didn't want to admit it.
- 58:18>> Speaker A: Of course.
- 58:18>> Speaker G: You got anything you want me to sign? I can't really spell, but I
- 58:21can scribble something.
- 58:23>> Speaker A: And with that, he just kind of nods for it, and the two soldiers
- 58:26come up behind you and start to grab you by your
- 58:29arms. Hey.
- 58:32>> Speaker G: That'S not, very nice.
- 58:33>> Speaker A: I just sat down. I didn't even get a chance to drink my.
- 58:36>> Speaker G: What did you get?
- 58:36>> Speaker A: This pineapple mango. Yeah, this pineapple
- 58:39mango over her face, like she's trying to hide
- 58:42her own face.
- 58:43>> Speaker G: Now, don't be embarrassing me in front of my lady over here.
- 58:46I can get you some of your.
- 58:48>> Speaker A: I think we will be making you
- 58:51quite embarrassed. And
- 58:53he says, let's go. And
- 58:57they start to pull you out of your chair
- 59:00towards the door with him kind of leading the pack.
- 59:03>> Speaker G: What are you guys doing? Where are we going? What's
- 59:05happening?
- 59:07>> Speaker A: you're going to come with us to
- 59:10the fire nation prison we have
- 59:13here.
- 59:13>> Speaker G: Isn't this the earth kingdom? What's happening?
- 59:15>> Speaker A: Well, Udao is run
- 59:18by the fire. it's like a cultural integration. So
- 59:21it's like they have like an embassy almost.
- 59:26>> Speaker G: I kind of leaned back towards Tom. I was
- 59:28like, I think this is the same guy.
- 59:32>> Speaker F: I think it might be.
- 59:34>> Speaker G: You want to tell them where I'm going?
- 59:36>> Speaker F: The other crew?
- 59:37>> Speaker G: They might need to help me out.
- 59:39>> Speaker F: If I see him.
- 59:40>> Speaker A: M. I guess.
- 59:41>> Speaker G: Okay, that's cool. We'll catch
- 59:44up later.
- 59:45>> Speaker F: I sure hope so.
- 59:48>> Speaker G: You know, as first dates go, that's not the worst, I'll tell you
- 59:50that.
- 59:52>> Speaker A: Brock Lee is dragged off
- 59:55towards the alleged, Fire nation
- 59:57prison. And with that, we'll close out episode
- 1:00:01one with an incredibly unexpected
- 1:00:03ending and cliffhanger
