  Speaker 1: Alex is on his honeymoon. Alex got married on Saturday night,

  Speaker 1: his wife's name is Alex. They're both Alexander. So Alex

  Speaker 1: and Alex and I had a chuckle when that. At

  Speaker 1: the wedding, Alex said anything better than one Alex Miller

  Speaker 1: is two Alex Miller. Eh, the opposite is anything worse

  Speaker 1: than one Alex Miller. Not gonna go there. But what

  Speaker 1: I have to laugh at is when I first come

  Speaker 1: down to the Eagle and started working was which is

  Speaker 1: a foo few moons ago. The Eagle had two women

  Speaker 1: I call the girls, but theay women now as I

  Speaker 1: get older, but working as ad reps. And they were

  Speaker 1: kind of like in the circle of friends at that

  Speaker 1: time I ran with and they were both married. Now

  Speaker 1: what was funny about it was one of them was
• 4:31
  Speaker 1: named Dale Frisbee and her husband was named Dale Frisbee.

  Speaker 1: And the other one was named Robin Spencer and her
• 4:40
  Speaker 1: husband was named Robin Spencer. So you know, you think,
• 4:44
  Speaker 1: what's the odds of people married like that with the
• 4:47
  Speaker 1: same name, which was hilarious when we a lot of
• 4:50
  Speaker 1: times we were out in the same group of six
• 4:51
  Speaker 1: and eight and we always referred to them as he
• 4:54
  Speaker 1: Dale and she Del, He Robin and she Robin. I mean,

  Speaker 1: it was no problem, but kind looks from other people

  Speaker 1: and you said, hey he Del, you know, hey she Del.

  Speaker 1: And then I thought Saturday night at Alex's wedding in

  Speaker 1: the only time in like five decades, I've come across

  Speaker 1: married couples with the same name. Was those three. Now,

  Speaker 1: I'm sure there's a lot more out there, and uh,
• 5:20
  Speaker 1: just just one of those quite quaint oddities of life.

  Speaker 1: Another update Eagle at if I can Dave. I think

  Speaker 1: it's David G. Campbell, who's retired from the Eagle. He
• 5:35
  Speaker 1: used to direct the Waker Tribune, did radio for many
• 5:40
  Speaker 1: people at different places, particularly in his hometown of Mahea.

  Speaker 1: But David is I was called him Dave. He's retiring
• 5:50
  Speaker 1: from he's retiring. He's recovering from heart open art surgery,
• 5:54
  Speaker 1: so he's doing well. I talked to him last week
• 5:58
  Speaker 1: when I got it back from vacation. He call to
• 6:00
  Speaker 1: give an update, and I know he was going to

  Speaker 1: go in and see his doctors at the end of

  Speaker 1: last week and he probably he's on reab by now.

  Speaker 1: And I know Larry Bowen, another former Eagle, that was

  Speaker 1: going to make sure. I'm sure he's going to make
• 6:13
  Speaker 1: sure that Dave gets in shape because everybody's this is
• 6:16
  Speaker 1: a time when you want to get ready for the season.

  Speaker 1: Dave is trying to get in shape because he is
• 6:22
  Speaker 1: the voice of the Brian Vikings. He's going to walk

  Speaker 1: up that incline at Meryl Green Stadium, and you know

  Speaker 1: that's probably about a thirty five degree angle walk. I

  Speaker 1: don't know, because if they didn't get one of those

  Speaker 1: off the bat at a you know, a fourteen degree

  Speaker 1: it was like, hey, that balls hit hard. It's still

  Speaker 1: to those two, one former cohort and one current cohort.

  Speaker 1: life update? Last time I was on host for Chip

  Speaker 1: we're listing back then, I do remember I went on

  Speaker 1: had a laugh made fun of it. A few people

  Speaker 1: commented to me the next couple of days after the

  Speaker 1: show about that about you know they're not going to

  Speaker 1: go away, you know, let's let's be honest. You can

  Speaker 1: put everything up you wanted to. But I had a laugh,

  Speaker 1: and actually, within the next couple of days I was

  Speaker 1: doing chip Show, I found more signs out about please

  Speaker 1: remove the medians that I hadn't even seen, So I
• 8:04
  Speaker 1: thought that was funny. But you can't make these stories up.

  Speaker 1: I would say it was three or four days after
• 8:12
  Speaker 1: doing chip Show, on a rainy day night out at
• 8:16
  Speaker 1: a and em consolidated. In my haste to get out,

  Speaker 1: and I was trying to get over, I ran over

  Speaker 1: a median and blew out my left front tire. You
• 8:26
  Speaker 1: can't make those stories up. A few days after ripping

  Speaker 1: the medians, so to speaker, having good laugh at him,
• 8:36
  Speaker 1: I was out there changing a tar at nine to
• 8:39
  Speaker 1: thirty at night because I ran over a median. Then
• 8:42
  Speaker 1: I didn't see. Now what's sad about that? That is
• 8:45
  Speaker 1: the second time within like two years that I've had
• 8:49
  Speaker 1: blowouts by running over medians. You think if anybody would
• 8:52
  Speaker 1: know where there's medians, it would be me and shout out,
• 8:57
  Speaker 1: there's a little food truck right across from them. Consolidate
• 9:00
  Speaker 1: or it used to be. I don't know if you've
• 9:02
  Speaker 1: seen out there they came out and helped me change
• 9:04
  Speaker 1: my tire. They took pity on the old man and
• 9:07
  Speaker 1: came on out. And I will say this about meetings,
• 9:10
  Speaker 1: and I'm not gonna make jokes like I said, they're
• 9:13
  Speaker 1: here to say probably you know, what have you. But
• 9:15
  Speaker 1: it is interesting you go to towns that were seemingly
• 9:20
  Speaker 1: built already with the meetings, how it does make sense,
• 9:24
  Speaker 1: but when you add them to towns that didn't have them,
• 9:29
  Speaker 1: it doesn't make sense. A few months ago, I was
• 9:32
  Speaker 1: up in Huntsville and I kind of had to do
• 9:37
  Speaker 1: a couple of U turns whatever, and I kind of hesitated.
• 9:39
  Speaker 1: But there's no meetings up in Huntsville. They haven't got
• 9:43
  Speaker 1: the memo yet or else they can't afford it or
• 9:46
  Speaker 1: what have you. And there are still some tires towers.
• 9:49
  Speaker 1: There are still some towns that do that. So we'll
• 9:52
  Speaker 1: see what happens. But hey, you can kick it around

  Speaker 1: a few times about meetings or what have you. I'm

  Speaker 1: on the show right now because this is a slow week.

  Speaker 1: Let's be honest. Summer is here. Enjoy it. Before we

  Speaker 1: Championship volleyball team will start before then before you know it,

  Speaker 1: want to get away. I know from myself, is I

  Speaker 1: from it all. I'm usually able to do that a

  Speaker 1: couple of weeks, and everybody needs that. But I always

  Speaker 1: have to laugh because life goes on. But yet who

  Speaker 1: you're talking to or what are you doing? For example,

  Speaker 1: is I go to church at first Baptist. I don't

  Speaker 1: know where you go to church, but it's probably the

  Speaker 1: same thing. My Sunday school class probably has about a

  Speaker 1: hundred in it. Sometimes you have to bring out extra chairs,
• 11:25
  Speaker 1: which is great. Of course I missed a couple Sundays,

  Speaker 1: but I'd say, like the last two Sundays I've been there,
• 11:31
  Speaker 1: less than half fifty everybody. Everybody needs to get away,
• 11:36
  Speaker 1: you know, refresh, what have you. But it's like you
• 11:41
  Speaker 1: still got to have three papers a week if you
• 11:43
  Speaker 1: work for the newspaper, you work for KB tics, you
• 11:45
  Speaker 1: got to have x amount of sportscasts. You're on sports talk,

  Speaker 1: you gotta have five shows a week, but you always
• 11:54
  Speaker 1: have to always have to laugh, okay or half the

  Speaker 1: listeners out there or is it less than that or

  Speaker 1: what you I didn't try to get any kind of

  Speaker 1: big time names to help me on here and help

  Speaker 1: me kill the air, so to speak, because you know

  Speaker 1: who's list and who's out there. What are you gonna

  Speaker 1: talk about? And let's be honest. The World Cup is

  Speaker 1: still going on if your Spain's winning. The last time

  Speaker 1: we're talking about this at the office last night. This

  Speaker 1: might be one of like the deadest weeks of the summer.

  Speaker 1: You know, major League Baseball is not happening. He got

  Speaker 1: the All Star Game tonight, Yeah, the All Star Game tonight. Man,

  Speaker 1: I got jack for the All Star Game when I

  Speaker 1: was a kid. Obviously those days are gone, but I

  Speaker 1: don't want to take it away from today's kids. Do

  Speaker 1: you get jacked up for the All Star Game? There's

  Speaker 1: so many you know, it's just hard for me to say.

  Speaker 1: I probably try to watch it if I can. And

  Speaker 1: I'd missed the Derby home run Derby last night because

  Speaker 1: I was working. But let's be honest, major League Baseball's

  Speaker 1: kind of turned into the home run Derby. I mean,

  Speaker 1: that's what it is. Everybody. You's swinging for the fences,

  Speaker 1: what have you? How the game has changed, But you

  Speaker 1: think about other than the World Cup and America is

  Speaker 1: out at now, no Major League Baseball, nothing else going

  Speaker 1: on camps. This might be the deadest week of the summer. Now,

  Speaker 1: what's unusual about this? The way it falls? I want

  Speaker 1: to say, in the last few years, the All Star
• 13:39
  Speaker 1: Game happened at the same time the SEC Media Days
• 13:42
  Speaker 1: were going on. And the SEC Media Days to me

  Speaker 1: is a big deal because it's like the first sign

  Speaker 1: that summer's almost over. I mean, let's be honest. Next

  Speaker 1: week at Tampa, you've got six team the best teams

  Speaker 1: in the nation. They're each going to have three of

  Speaker 1: their best players there. That's thirty eight. You're gonna be

  Speaker 1: bombarded with about how great these teams are. What if

  Speaker 1: what might happen and you get to get the juices flowing,

  Speaker 1: that's that's what you do, and it's I liked it

  Speaker 1: when it's when when the SEC media days was that

  Speaker 1: Dallas two years ago because the All Star Game was

  Speaker 1: baseball game was up in Dallas at that time. But

  Speaker 1: League Baseball be back in action. So it's not like

  Speaker 1: the SEC has to share the spotlight with anyone, but

  Speaker 1: they kind of will do with Major League Baseball back

  Speaker 1: in action. But it's just just the way the game

  Speaker 1: the weekend, the week fell. But this does have to

  Speaker 1: be one of the quietest weeks, which is a good thing.

  Speaker 1: We all need to kind of cool our jets a

  Speaker 1: little bit before the eye for the storm, because all

  Speaker 1: of a sudden at first week of college football, everything

  Speaker 1: falls in place. Then you know what you're gonna be

  Speaker 1: doing every week every time. Then the NFL comes along,

  Speaker 1: the road and it's gaining momentum, and then everything else

  Speaker 1: is going to come on right behind. It definitely highly

  Speaker 1: unusual with this All Star break for like the first

  Speaker 1: time in ten years, I can talk about my parts,

  Speaker 1: my Pittsburgh parts. I think the greatest thing about major

  Speaker 1: League Baseball. If you become a fan of a team

  Speaker 1: as a youngster, you kind of keep it the whole

  Speaker 1: way through at least my generation. You know, go ahead

  Speaker 1: and chain teams and say, oh, I'm going to go

  Speaker 1: do for the Dodgers now, or I'm going to root

  Speaker 1: for the Yankees now. You kind of stick with your team.

  Speaker 1: I've stayed with the Pirates, true and true and blue

  Speaker 1: when they make the playoffs for a couple of years,

  Speaker 1: even though that was all they did. They got there

  Speaker 1: as a wild card, didn't do anything, but they had

  Speaker 1: when they got close to losing one hundred games, what

  Speaker 1: have you? You lose interest. So I didn't really pay

  Speaker 1: a lot of attention. I didn't know all the players. Heck,

  Speaker 1: I didn't know any of the players. It's just like,

  Speaker 1: look at a score, Okay, did they win, did they lose? Okay?

  Speaker 1: And I would chuckle. I go, well, hey, this is great.

  Speaker 1: to do important things than worry about what my pirates

  Speaker 1: parts did. Well. You know, then, as luck would have it,
