- 0:02Speaker 1: All right, so Chris Brown was last night. Daryl, you
- 0:04Speaker 1: were there?
- 0:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm here.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Hey, what did you think of his concert last night?
- 0:10Speaker 2: Oh, man, let me tell you, man. I was kind
- 0:12Speaker 2: of hesitant of going to his concert with my wife,
- 0:14Speaker 2: but when I got there, that concert was off the chain.
- 0:18Speaker 2: I'll tell you that, man. The production was nice. You know,
- 0:22Speaker 2: the energy. I was on my feet the whole time, man.
- 0:25Speaker 2: That concert, like the $ 400 that I spent for that
- 0:28Speaker 2: concert was well worth it.
- 0:29Speaker 1: All right. What do you think, Peyton? You were there.
- 0:31Speaker 3: I thought it was awesome.
- 0:33Speaker 4: And I'm so glad that I went because I was
- 0:34Speaker 4: kind of up in the air if I even wanted
- 0:36Speaker 4: to do it because I've seen Chris Brown, not like
- 0:39Speaker 4: no joke, like probably five times in my lifetime.
- 0:41Speaker 3: And it's always a great show, but it's a long show.
- 0:44Speaker 4: And I didn't know if I wanted to get into that.
- 0:46Speaker 4: So truthfully, I went because I've never seen Usher. And
- 0:50Speaker 4: I'm with Daryl. That concert was off the charts. It
- 0:54Speaker 4: was so good. At one point, it was kind of
- 0:57Speaker 4: like Chris Brown and Usher. Both of them had no
- 0:59Speaker 4: clothes on. They were going hit for hit with the
- 1:01Speaker 4: R & B.
- 1:02Speaker 3: Baby-making music.
- 1:03Speaker 4: So it was getting hot and heavy and steamy in
- 1:05Speaker 4: there in more ways than one.
- 1:07Speaker 3: And all it did was make me think.
- 1:08Speaker 4: Do you guys remember a couple weeks ago when that
- 1:11Speaker 4: girl denied Usher on stage?
- 1:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:13Speaker 3: And she was like, was sticking away from it. I
- 1:15Speaker 3: was like, you're crazy. You are crazy. Because I get it.
- 1:19Speaker 4: I get why all the moms love on Usher. I
- 1:22Speaker 4: grew up listening to Usher with my mom, so I
- 1:24Speaker 4: thought about her a lot of the time.
- 1:25Speaker 3: She would have loved that.
- 1:26Speaker 1: So would you, if you got called up on stage,
- 1:27Speaker 1: you would let him do whatever he was going to do?
- 1:29Speaker 3: No, I'm married. But I would like, if you're single, absolutely,
- 1:32Speaker 3: go for it. Have your time.
- 1:33Speaker 4: Me?
- 1:35Speaker 3: No.
- 1:37Speaker 1: What were your favorite songs from each?
- 1:39Speaker 3: Okay, well, when Chris Brown performed with you.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Yeah, that's got to feel good.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Everybody singing along? And he stripped it down. So it
- 1:54Speaker 3: was like, it was really dope.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Darryl, you agree with Peyton?
- 1:56Speaker 5: Was it great?
- 1:56Speaker 1: Was that the good part?
- 1:59Speaker 2: Yeah, it was cool, man. The crazy thing is, like,
- 2:02Speaker 2: I got into my car and I listened to all
- 2:05Speaker 2: his songs. Like, he still has more. Like, he could
- 2:08Speaker 2: have went on the whole night. His catalog is ridiculous.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Same thing with us. We're like... You know, the feature,
- 2:14Speaker 2: they didn't even hit any of those. But, you know, again,
- 2:17Speaker 2: that was a good show. Like, it could have been
- 2:19Speaker 2: another night. Who closed it out?
- 2:23Speaker 1: They didn't even get into it.
- 2:24Speaker 2: It was both of them that closed it out.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Okay, you just stayed until the end, Peyton?
- 2:27Speaker 3: I have to be here.
- 2:28Speaker 1: I know, I'm just curious. That's understandable. No judgment. I'm
- 2:32Speaker 1: just curious who stayed. No, I didn't get to see it.
- 2:34Speaker 4: That's really awesome that they closed it out, though. Daryl,
- 2:36Speaker 4: how did you feel when Chris Brown started flying all
- 2:39Speaker 4: around the arena?
- 2:39Speaker 3: Because I was like, get down from there, Christopher.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Man.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Yeah. Let me tell you, man, like the way he
- 2:45Speaker 2: was suspended up there, man, I was like, I wouldn't
- 2:47Speaker 2: be able to do that. He was hooking himself. He
- 2:50Speaker 2: was hooking himself in and out of it. So I'm like,
- 2:52Speaker 2: this dude is like, he's an entertainer, man. He's when they,
- 2:56Speaker 2: when they compared to Michael Jackson, I'm like, ah, he's
- 2:58Speaker 2: kind of up there. So I finally enjoyed it.
- 3:01Speaker 1: What time is it over?
- 3:05Speaker 2: It was over, what time did I get home? I
- 3:07Speaker 2: got home at midnight, so it was probably like 11.30 maybe.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Okay, did you guys see that video I posted on
- 3:11Speaker 1: John Jay and Rich Stories?
- 3:13Speaker 5: Okay, if you go to John Jay and Rich Stories,
- 3:14Speaker 5: there's a video I posted in the stories because a
- 3:17Speaker 5: girl was at the, two girls were at the Glendale
- 3:19Speaker 5: Airport and they filmed him, Usher, pulling up in two
- 3:23Speaker 5: black SUVs and he gets out of an SUV and
- 3:27Speaker 5: walks up to this incredible private plane and he's wearing.
- 3:30Speaker 1: This cool outfit.
- 3:31Speaker 5: But to me, it's like, I've always had this question
- 3:35Speaker 5: that I've wondered about artists when they perform there. Do
- 3:38Speaker 5: you just stay in the hotel? Or is it like,
- 3:40Speaker 5: you know, when you're a musician, you've heard musician hours,
- 3:42Speaker 5: like they go to bed like.
- 3:43Speaker 1: At 5 a.m. You're up, you're just so charged. So
- 3:44Speaker 1: are you like pumped from the show?
- 3:46Speaker 5: So let's say he gets to the airport at 11.15, 11.30,
- 3:47Speaker 5: or you get, yeah, because if the show was, you
- 3:49Speaker 5: got home at midnight, so he gets to the airport
- 3:51Speaker 5: at 11.30. He's home by 1.30 in L.A., so he
- 3:55Speaker 5: goes to bed at 2. He wakes up at 9
- 3:58Speaker 5: or 10 this morning. He's there with his kids, his family,
- 4:00Speaker 5: his pool, his dog.
- 4:01Speaker 1: So it's like... I've always wondered, just do you stay
- 4:03Speaker 1: or do you go? And now he answered it because
- 4:05Speaker 1: he went.
- 4:05Speaker 4: Well, it's different, I think, for everyone because a little
- 4:08Speaker 4: birdie told me that Chris Brown was out in a.
- 4:10Speaker 3: Bathroom just last night here.
- 4:12Speaker 1: That's another thing, too, is that I heard he was out, too. Exactly,
- 4:13Speaker 1: it depends on.
- 4:14Speaker 4: What stage of life you're in. Like, Chris Brown was
- 4:17Speaker 4: literally pointing out women. He's like, I'm going to see
- 4:19Speaker 4: you after this show.
- 4:22Speaker 1: What about Usher's best song?
- 4:23Speaker 2: Usher, for me, was Burn.
- 4:28Speaker 4: But, like, I like to sing.
- 4:34Speaker 3: Like, you know what I mean?
- 4:35Speaker 4: Like, all the, like, the yeahs and the parties. Like,
- 4:38Speaker 4: that's all fun, but I want to sing my heart
- 4:40Speaker 4: out with Usher.
- 4:42Speaker 3: I'm sure I ruined the girls next to me videos,
- 4:44Speaker 3: but I don't care.
- 4:45Speaker 5: What was your favorite Usher song, Daryl?
- 4:48Speaker 2: My favorite Usher one? Crap. What's the one with Little John?
- 4:52Speaker 2: I forgot.
- 4:52Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 4:53Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Would you, if Usher would have called you up on
- 4:56Speaker 1: stage and got nasty with you, would you let him?
- 4:58Speaker 5: I would.
- 4:59Speaker 2: You know what? I actually had that conversation with my wife.
- 5:02Speaker 2: I was like, you know what? I might end up
- 5:05Speaker 2: going up there.
- 5:05Speaker 1: I get it. I get it.
- 5:07Speaker 4: They brought out special guests, too. They brought out Tank,
- 5:10Speaker 4: which everyone was, like, freaking out about. And then they
- 5:13Speaker 4: also brought out Mario. So, Let Me Love You was dope.
- 5:17Speaker 1: All right.
- 5:17Speaker 2: I think Mario, the one that stole the show out
- 5:20Speaker 2: of the ones they brought up, Mario stole the show forever.
- 5:23Speaker 4: With Mario, I was watching him and I was like,
- 5:25Speaker 4: I can see why you were probably like that guy
- 5:28Speaker 4: like 15.
- 5:28Speaker 3: 20 years ago. But now... He seemed a little out
- 5:32Speaker 3: of place.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Chris Brown doesn't bring Jordan Sparks up. They don't do
- 5:35Speaker 1: no hair. That's her talent. She lives there. You know what?
- 5:38Speaker 2: I whispered that to my wife. Yeah, I was like,
- 5:40Speaker 2: you know, it would have been a perfect time for
- 5:41Speaker 2: her to be here because she's from here.
- 5:43Speaker 4: But wasn't she like in love with him and he
- 5:45Speaker 4: wanted no parts of her?
- 5:46Speaker 1: I mean, you know, we've heard stories.
- 5:48Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 5:48Speaker 1: All right, Daryl. Daryl, thanks for listening, man. Thanks for
- 5:50Speaker 1: calling in. And yes. Hey, no problem.
- 5:52Speaker 2: You guys take care.
- 5:53Speaker 1: You too. You too. That's good. So there was no.
- 5:57Speaker 5: Debate on whether it was an imposter right wasn't that
- 6:00Speaker 5: another thing with usher.
- 6:01Speaker 4: Yeah like the videos i was looking so close i'm
- 6:04Speaker 4: like oh that he brought the.
- 6:06Speaker 3: Real one here yeah he brought the real one he brought.
- 6:08Speaker 1: The real one all right good hey dara good morning
- 6:11Speaker 1: you're on the.
- 6:11Speaker 7: Air oh hello hi hi this is dara um i
- 6:19Speaker 7: am calling because a while a few weeks ago um
- 6:23Speaker 7: I asked you to throw a prayer for my daughter
- 6:25Speaker 7: and I wanted to give you a follow.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Up on that. Oh yes. Okay. Please do.
- 6:29Speaker 5: Okay.
- 6:30Speaker 6: So, and I, um, try to make it brief, but, um,
- 6:32Speaker 6: at the time she had an amazing job offer and
- 6:35Speaker 6: had given notice that her previous job. And, um, so
- 6:38Speaker 6: she was supposed to start on a Monday, but the
- 6:40Speaker 6: Friday before the new job, um, indicated that they might
- 6:44Speaker 6: need to present her offer. And then they basically like
- 6:46Speaker 6: ghosted her. And that's when I asked her a prayer
- 6:50Speaker 6: that maybe they would come through for her and, um, Anyway,
- 6:54Speaker 6: long story short, she hadn't done anything wrong. It was
- 6:55Speaker 6: just a lousy situation and very unfortunate. And she was devastated,
- 7:01Speaker 6: unemployed all of a sudden and was beating herself up.
- 7:03Speaker 6: And so I just wanted to pass along. So although
- 7:07Speaker 6: that prayer didn't come through, but never give up. And
- 7:10Speaker 6: when a door closes, another door truly does open. And
- 7:14Speaker 6: I'm going to cry because Sometimes there actually is a
- 7:17Speaker 6: reason that something doesn't come true, something better. There's a
- 7:22Speaker 6: better blessing. So ultimately the prayer did come through. She hustled,
- 7:28Speaker 6: found another job that, you know, anyway, and this new
- 7:31Speaker 6: opportunity is actually a dream job with great communication. And
- 7:35Speaker 6: they're so excited to have her. It's just like it
- 7:38Speaker 6: was meant to be. And I, anyway, I wanted to
- 7:40Speaker 6: thank you because although that first prayer didn't come true,
- 7:42Speaker 6: the actual hope and wish did come true in the end.
- 7:46Speaker 5: So you think that prayer did come through, but it did.
- 7:48Speaker 5: There's a song. There's a great song if you want
- 7:50Speaker 5: to listen to the words. It's pretty amazing. The Garth
- 7:52Speaker 5: Brooks song, Unanswered Prayers. You ever heard that song?
- 7:55Speaker 2: Yes.
- 7:56Speaker 6: Yes.
- 7:56Speaker 5: You have to thank God for unanswered prayers because in reality,
- 7:59Speaker 5: the prayer did come true.
- 8:03Speaker 6: When she first got let down by the previous job,
- 8:06Speaker 6: I wanted to.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Say, oh, there's a lesson in this.
- 8:08Speaker 6: And it was a little too soon to say that.
- 8:10Speaker 6: But we soon realized, luckily, things turned around very quickly.
- 8:14Speaker 5: Sometimes I thank God for unanswered prayers.
- 8:19Speaker 3: That's actually a really good song.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Sounds just like that. Sounds like a show tune.
- 8:23Speaker 3: Sounds like a musical.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Sounds just like that.
- 8:25Speaker 3: I was like, what Hamilton.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Song is that? Sounds just like that, Unc. Well, Dara,
- 8:31Speaker 1: thank you for listening. Thanks for the update. And congratulations.
- 8:33Speaker 6: No, and thank you for letting me share that with you.
- 8:35Speaker 6: It was important for me to thank you guys.
- 8:37Speaker 1: You got it. Hold on a line. Kyle Payne, what's
- 8:38Speaker 1: going on in some entertainment news? What's coming up?
- 8:40Speaker 4: Drake just won over a million dollars in a half
- 8:43Speaker 4: an hour, but what he did immediately after could have.
- 8:46Speaker 3: Been his best decision yet.
- 8:48Speaker 1: I'll fill you in next with John Jay and Rich. Hey, y'all,
- 8:50Speaker 1: this your boy Chris Brown right here. And right now
- 8:51Speaker 1: y'all listening to John Jay and Rich. Hey, John Jay,
- 8:54Speaker 1: that foot fetish you got, man, that's going to have
- 8:56Speaker 1: to stop because I hate feet.
