- 0:00Speaker 1: Boy, you said a mouthful there.
- 0:05Speaker 2: All right, Well, if you went to the movies this weekend,
- 0:12Speaker 2: I should have, you probably saw Zotopia two along with
- 0:17Speaker 2: the rest of the planet.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Apparently, Yeah, they said it overperformed. It really overperformed.
- 0:23Speaker 2: I mean they knew it would do well because the
- 0:24Speaker 2: first one was very well received and it is a
- 0:27Speaker 2: funny movie.
- 0:29Speaker 1: But this one just wow, just knocked them all down.
- 0:33Speaker 2: According to The Hollywood Reporter, five hundred and fifty six
- 0:36Speaker 2: million worldwide.
- 0:39Speaker 1: Already.
- 0:40Speaker 2: It's broke some records, like being the biggest ever worldwide
- 0:43Speaker 2: start for an animated film, fourth best start for any
- 0:47Speaker 2: Hollywood flick ever made. Four hundred million came from overseas,
- 0:53Speaker 2: largely thanks to China, where two hundred and seventy two
- 0:57Speaker 2: million dollar hall made it the biggest animated opening ever
- 1:01Speaker 2: in the territory wow, and China's second biggest launch since
- 1:05Speaker 2: Avengers Endgame in twenty nineteen. Yeah, it's it's just huge,
- 1:12Speaker 2: and apparently it's it's it's very good, that's what I hear.
- 1:16Speaker 2: I mean, I'll see it eventually. I enjoyed the first one.
- 1:19Speaker 1: It's funny. Let's see. Speaking of movies, yep, And we
- 1:23Speaker 1: talked about this earlier.
- 1:24Speaker 2: The Whole Bloody Affair and Tarantino The Kill Bill movies
- 1:30Speaker 2: all stuck together with some additional footage and all that.
- 1:35Speaker 2: It sounds like Tarantino's not ready to say goodbye to
- 1:39Speaker 2: Kill Bill. I you know, he's got this coming out,
- 1:42Speaker 2: and they were talking to him about it, and he
- 1:45Speaker 2: just did a recent thing called Yuki's Revenge, which was
- 1:49Speaker 2: an animated lost chapter and it'll be on Fortnite soon.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Tarantino talked about wanting to give his villain Bill an
- 1:59Speaker 2: origin store because we didn't get that in the movies. Uh,
- 2:04Speaker 2: the idea sprang to mind back when he was doing
- 2:06Speaker 2: the two movies. But he told the crowd at the
- 2:09Speaker 2: Vista Theater when he was doing a screening at The
- 2:12Speaker 2: Whole Bloody Affair. He says it'd be about how Bill
- 2:15Speaker 2: became Bill, and the three godfathers that made him Esteban
- 2:19Speaker 2: Viejo II May and Hattri Hanzo. We're all in in
- 2:24Speaker 2: the movies. He says, I've got other things to do
- 2:27Speaker 2: right now, but if I do this, it'll probably be animated.
- 2:34Speaker 2: He had fun working on this Yuki's Revenge.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Because in the okay, that's part of this is.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Exactly, and it's.
- 2:43Speaker 1: In the this new It's in this new thing.
- 2:45Speaker 2: There's a whole segment of the character Yuki who it's animated,
- 2:52Speaker 2: and he did the voice of Bill apparently for this.
- 2:56Speaker 2: But he said, I had so much fun doing this.
- 3:00Speaker 2: If I do a prequel, it will be animated. Okay,
- 3:03Speaker 2: something to think about, something to look forward to. All right,
- 3:07Speaker 2: Uh now.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Wait, wait wait for this. Don't don't pooh poo it
- 3:13Speaker 1: right away.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Okay, all right, Scarlett Johansson, come on in a new
- 3:20Speaker 2: Exorcist movie.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Yeah, wait, okay, wait, wait. Mike Flanagan writing and directing, right, okay,
- 3:30Speaker 1: remind me of Mike Mike Flannagan of course.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Uh. He's done all these horror shows Netflix on Netflix.
- 3:39Speaker 2: He did the House of Usher, he did, you know,
- 3:42Speaker 2: all those. He's very good. He says, this is a fresh,
- 3:46Speaker 2: bold take on the Exorcist. It's not a sequel, it's
- 3:49Speaker 2: not a reimagining. It takes place in the Exorcist universe,
- 3:52Speaker 2: whatever that means. But he said, the Exorcist is one
- 3:56Speaker 2: of the reasons I became a filmmaker, and it's it's
- 3:59Speaker 2: an hoddor to have a chance to try something fresh
- 4:01Speaker 2: and bold and terrority. Yes, I like four or five
- 4:04Speaker 2: Exoris films, and I think they must all be vaguely related,
- 4:09Speaker 2: and so they're all, yeah, connected in some way. But
- 4:12Speaker 2: he says, this is it's it's its own thing. It
- 4:14Speaker 2: just takes place in the same universe.
- 4:16Speaker 1: So there you go. I'll show me what you got, yeah, exactly.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Eva Green has joined Wednesday for season three. She will
- 4:24Speaker 2: play Antiophelia Good, who is Ortitia Adams's sister and wants
- 4:32Speaker 2: to kill Wednesday apparently. And finally, this December is here
- 4:38Speaker 2: and with it a new Avatar movie.
- 4:41Speaker 1: Yes, Fire and Ash is what it's called.
- 4:45Speaker 2: H James Cameron has asked, if this movie underperforms, what
- 4:52Speaker 2: is your contingency plan, because you know, we keep hearing
- 4:55Speaker 2: about how he has five total and he's filmed them
- 4:57Speaker 2: all and all this, and he he said, quite bluntly,
- 5:01Speaker 2: he said, if if this is where it ends, okay,
- 5:05Speaker 2: He's like, he says, he's not going to fight for
- 5:07Speaker 2: the he's not selling it, then he should be saying.
- 5:10Speaker 1: No, these are wonderful, and they should be.
- 5:13Speaker 2: He says he's not open to completely handing things over
- 5:16Speaker 2: to somebody else. He says, I could produce it. I
- 5:18Speaker 2: don't think there'd be a version where there's another Avatar
- 5:20Speaker 2: movie that I didn't produce closely. But if I need
- 5:24Speaker 2: to tie things up, I'll do it in a book. Okay,
- 5:30Speaker 2: a book, very good, Gina.
- 5:36Speaker 1: A book is not a movie a movie, she said.
- 5:39Speaker 1: So all I'm saying is he said, if you really want.
- 5:42Speaker 2: That Avatar book, don't go see the movie.
- 5:48Speaker 1: I think people that are into the movies don't want to.
- 5:52Speaker 1: They don't want a book. I don't they want a movie.
- 5:54Speaker 1: I think that people are into those movies can't read.
- 5:56Speaker 1: I don't. If you like him, you like him, enjoy
- 6:01Speaker 1: what's it called? Fire and ash fire and ash oh
