• 1:00
Speaker 1: No teasing aside, Alright, now we go down to the West Sam Houston Tollway and, just south of the Southwest Freeway, to the world headquarters of Gulf Coast Auto Shield and their proprietor, the man about town.
• 1:18
Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, here he is, mr John Gray Good morning boys.
• 1:23
Speaker 1: Good morning how are you?
• 1:27
Speaker 4: It's been a little bit crazy here for the last few months.
• 1:29
Speaker 4: I like the way you're looking down at us.
• 1:31
Speaker 1: Does that mean something?
• 1:33
Speaker 1: Is there some hidden meaning about that?
• 1:36
Speaker 4: Other than no, there's no hidden meaning.
• 1:38
Speaker 4: There's nothing other than apology for I've been a bit aloof.
• 1:43
  Speaker 4: Yes, we've noticed.
• 1:45
Speaker 4: Uh, things are just.
• 1:47
Speaker 4: There's a lot of things going on and a lot of moving parts right now, so, uh, but that's all.
• 1:51
Speaker 4: It's all good stuff, you know, none of it's.
• 1:53
  Speaker 4: None of it's a negative.
• 1:54
Speaker 1: So I'm waiting for you to say yeah, well you know, we're working on a new location that's going to triple our square footage here at gulf coast auto shield.
• 2:04
Speaker 2: Well it's actually, you know, you must have, you must have heard that rumor I heard so there's part of the astrodome is still open I got an article that they were repurposing.
• 2:18
Speaker 4: So we've got, we've got a place down in sugar land that we've been trying to get built out and between the, the inefficiency of the contractor and, uh, you know other things that happen when you're trying to get a new space built in Sugarland, yeah, it's just taken.
• 2:34
Speaker 4: This has taken forever.
• 2:35
Speaker 4: Um, and we have, uh, we're expanding.
• 2:39
Speaker 4: Not only we're going to use that mostly for some of our uh, some of our car dealership stuff that we get from the Audi and Porsche store down in Sugar Land plus another store that's going to come online, but also we've really gotten and are going hard after the marine segment.
• 2:58
Speaker 4: Expel has chosen us to be one of the first 12 shops in the country that are going to be doing Expel Marine paint protection films and marine ceramic coatings.
• 3:13
Speaker 4: That is cool, yeah, it is cool.
• 3:15
Speaker 4: And you take a boat and put this film on it and it can really kind of be dulled out and whatnot to be dulled out, whatnot, and it just completely changes the look back to the original color.
• 3:27
Speaker 4: Uh, just because the film, uh, this film will hide so many imperfections on it.
• 3:31
Speaker 4: You know any kind of doc rash.
• 3:32
Speaker 4: You know I'm, and we're learning a lot as we go, but I've never been out far enough to know what bill rash is.
• 3:39
Speaker 4: But these, apparently, these big, you know, these big, like 60, 70 foot viking boats go out, they catch, uh, you know, marlin and whatnot, and those big, sharp bills will scratch down the side of the boat.
• 3:50
Speaker 4: These guys have to.
• 3:52
Speaker 4: You're having these boats painted every year.
• 3:55
Speaker 4: Yikes, pull them out of the water, paint them.
• 3:58
Speaker 4: It's thousands and thousands of dollars and so, um, you know, it's a market that that really hasn't been, uh, penetrated very much, because there hadn't been any film uh available to do it they could stand up to.
• 4:13
Speaker 1: So I was gonna say, because I can't imagine anything more, you know, destructive than wave crashes after crashes on the thing, all the time, salt water yeah, salt water.
• 4:23
Speaker 4: Well, the dock can.
• 4:24
Speaker 4: The docks can definitely do some damage and and uh, so that's kind of the point.
• 4:28
Speaker 4: It yes, a sacrificial layer.
• 4:29
Speaker 4: You could damage it, but at least you're not damaging the paint or the gel coat on the boat.
• 4:34
Speaker 4: So it's uh, yeah, it's uh.
• 4:36
  Speaker 4: I fired a guy that's every day.
• 4:38
  Speaker 4: He's down there.
• 4:39
Speaker 4: We'll be at the boat show coming up, or the automotive show, is that what it is?
• 4:43
Speaker 4: Yeah, we'll be there, and a couple of up or the automotive show, is that what it is?
• 4:46
  Speaker 4: Yeah, automotive.
• 4:47
Speaker 2: We'll be there and a couple of the dealers, I think we will be too, won't we?
• 4:49
Speaker 4: Yep, Glenn and I will be there Saturday.
• 4:51
Speaker 4: A couple of the dealers boat dealers have asked us to be in their booth and do live demonstrations.
• 4:56
  Speaker 4: That'd be cool.
• 4:57
Speaker 4: Yeah, it's interesting man.
• 4:59
  Speaker 4: It's interesting.
• 5:00
Speaker 4: I've put a lot on Amelia here lately to kind of run the front office of the shop.
• 5:05
Speaker 4: We know We'll see how it goes.
• 5:11
Speaker 2: So you're saying that next year we could possibly be remote from your yacht?
• 5:15
  Speaker 4: I don't have a yacht.
• 5:16
  Speaker 4: I don't have a yacht.
• 5:17
Speaker 4: I'm selling my boat.
• 5:20
Speaker 4: I've decided Didn't get a chance to use it this year very much and man, it's just, it's just, it's a lot of money just sitting there, don't even go there with me, been there, done that and the thing that they always say it's a hole in the water that you just pour money into, and it doesn't make any difference whether you drive it every weekend or not.
• 5:43
Speaker 1: Well, it's an acronym.
• 5:44
Speaker 2: The word boat is an acronym, I know.
• 5:46
Speaker 2: Bust out another thousand.
• 5:48
  Speaker 2: What is it?
• 5:49
Speaker 2: Bust out another thousand.
• 5:50
Speaker 2: Bust out another thousand.
• 5:51
Speaker 4: Yeah, but that really hadn't been the case with this boat.
• 5:55
Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, boats are not cheap.
• 5:56
  Speaker 4: Where is it?
• 5:57
Speaker 4: Where is the boat Right now?
• 5:59
Speaker 4: It's sitting in my new shop, in new shop and the new shop in in sugarland, yeah, just because we did some training with it.
• 6:08
Speaker 4: But we have a storage place out in in past rosenberg on the way down to matagorda, so that's where we keep it.
• 6:12
Speaker 4: Yeah, you got a store.
• 6:13
Speaker 4: You got to have insurance in very cheap on it or in very expensive on it.
• 6:16
Speaker 4: But I'm gonna tell you this outside of regular maintenance and buying cool stuff for the boat, there hadn't been a breakdown in since I had my first boat.
• 6:28
Speaker 1: That was never the issue with me.
• 6:29
Speaker 1: It was that well, you gotta buy this now.
• 6:31
  Speaker 1: You need this.
• 6:32
Speaker 1: Oh, wait a minute.
• 6:33
Speaker 1: There was a new life jacket.
• 6:35
  Speaker 1: That's really cool.
• 6:36
Speaker 1: I gotta have one of those.
• 6:37
Speaker 1: I know how this goes.
• 6:39
Speaker 1: How wait, how about the anchor?
• 6:41
Speaker 1: Oh, you've got one of those with the fork thing anchors.
• 6:44
Speaker 1: Oh, that's no good.
• 6:45
Speaker 1: You've got to buy this new kind of anchor that you can un-anchor it at will.
• 6:50
Speaker 1: Yeah, I know how that goes, buddy.
• 6:55
Speaker 4: The interesting thing is, when we go to some of these places and talk about these marine films, the people that know about Expel are the ones that want to put it on boats.
• 7:06
Speaker 4: The people that don't know about expel, they're uh, you know, they're less accepting of the idea.
• 7:13
Speaker 4: Yeah, so, um, that's some of the things that were out there, uh, trying to change, but, uh, you know, we've already gotten some traction and uh, it's a new venture.
• 7:24
Speaker 4: Man, Anytime you start something up, it costs you money.
• 7:28
Speaker 1: Well, you ought to know.
• 7:29
Speaker 1: You're the man that always starts up something new and is always stirring the pot.
• 7:34
  Speaker 2: Well, congratulations anyways.
• 7:36
Speaker 4: Yeah, that's for sure If you don't adapt and you don't look at new markets, you're going to die.
• 7:43
Speaker 4: Things change too quickly.
• 7:44
Speaker 4: You've got to change with it.
• 7:50
Speaker 1: Well, something tells me that we've been along the ride with you all these years now, for a long, long time, and we appreciate that.
• 7:59
Speaker 4: It's a different story, but one thing that I've tried not to you can't lose the personal touch.
• 8:04
Speaker 4: You've got to be.
• 8:06
Speaker 4: I have to be here.
• 8:07
Speaker 4: You know, I don't want to not be in the shop when these retail customers are coming in and out, because sit and talk to them and and maybe have a drink with them and, uh, you know, taking them, introduce them to everybody in the shop, that's what makes us different?
• 8:20
Speaker 1: how is your bourbon collection doing?
• 8:22
  Speaker 1: It is unbelievable.
• 8:24
Speaker 4: Let's turn the camera, let's see it let me see here, how do I do that.
• 8:34
Speaker 4: Let me see, I'm not very good.
• 8:36
Speaker 4: Are you on your?
• 8:37
  Speaker 1: cell phone.
• 8:38
Speaker 1: There we go, there you go.
• 8:40
Speaker 1: Okay, we don't care about the invoice, we want to see the there you go, hold on.
• 8:45
  Speaker 1: Wait a minute.
• 8:52
  Speaker 1: There's no.
• 8:53
  Speaker 1: Wait a minute.
• 8:53
Speaker 1: Oh my God, there's no room.
• 8:55
Speaker 1: You need more shelving.
• 8:58
  Speaker 2: It's crazy.
• 8:58
Speaker 2: I think you got Perry's Bar beat.
• 9:00
Speaker 2: Yeah, man and the funny thing, is.
• 9:05
Speaker 4: So, let's see, I think that we're coming to see you in a couple of weeks and I got a feeling we're going to leave there and not be able to see you at all.
• 9:16
Speaker 4: Well, you know I don't really drink this at work, as you probably already know.
• 9:20
Speaker 4: But what we do, what we will do, is if a customer comes in and oh shit, and they, oh, my God, there you are.
• 9:27
  Speaker 4: There you are.
• 9:28
Speaker 1: You may be good at film, but you're not all so good at the technology end of it.
• 9:32
Speaker 4: No, so they'll see something they've never tried, but it almost always sparks up a conversation.
• 9:38
Speaker 1: All right, well let's have that conversation right now.
• 9:40
Speaker 1: Let's talk about so what is your current favorite whiskey?
• 9:49
  Speaker 4: Great question.
• 9:50
Speaker 4: If I were to pour a drink right now, it would be.
• 9:55
Speaker 4: I've got a bottle of Blanton's from Japan.
• 9:57
Speaker 4: I'm not a big fan of the.
• 9:59
Speaker 4: I think the Blanton's that's sold here is a little bit overrated, but the Blanton's from Japan is fantastic.
• 10:08
Speaker 1: Got a little sake in it.
• 10:10
Speaker 4: I don't know what it's got in it, it just tastes good.
• 10:12
Speaker 4: And there's also a bottle a whiskey called Pike Creek.
• 10:15
Speaker 4: Now I've not found it in the stores.
• 10:18
Speaker 4: I had a customer bring me a couple of them.
• 10:19
Speaker 4: It comes out of a sherry cask, it smells wonderful and uh, it's, it's.
• 10:28
Speaker 4: It's a really good tasting uh whiskey so you're.
• 10:30
Speaker 1: In other words, not only are you doing all of these coatings and and wraps and that sort of thing on these cars, you're also the bourbon officiato and the man to go to for suggestions well, I, I could suggest a few for sure, and I'll tell you what.
• 10:47
Speaker 4: If, if you've ever had a really, really fine tequila, like, uh, jose cuervo la familia, or uh, there's a bottle of patron al alto over over on my deal, that I tell you, a good sipping tequila can, uh, in my opinion, it might beat out a good bourbon tequila can.
• 11:03
Speaker 4: In my opinion, it might beat out a good bourbon.
• 11:06
Speaker 3: And you're not talking about doing shots, you're talking about?
• 11:09
Speaker 1: No, we're talking about doing damn shots.
• 11:11
Speaker 4: Sipping no, no, sir.
• 11:14
Speaker 3: I'll buy you a $10 bottle of tequila and you can shoot it all you want.
• 11:18
Speaker 4: That's what the old granddad's for Well, this Pike's Creek.
• 11:20
Speaker 2: if you drink enough of it, you'll be up the creek.
• 11:23
Speaker 4: You could be up the creek.
• 11:25
Speaker 4: You could be up creek.
• 11:28
Speaker 1: Let's see Old Granddad.
• 11:29
Speaker 1: Did I hear you say that, Old Granddad?
• 11:31
Speaker 3: No, he said Old Granddad, old Granddad, that is Old Granddad.
• 11:33
Speaker 1: I was thinking more along the lines of you know some bourbon that came out the underside of a bourbon truck, bourbon that came out the underside of a 1989, 1979 Oldsmobile 98 or 88 brown, where the air conditioning doesn't work hasn't worked in years.
• 11:56
Speaker 1: And Ezra Williams, or whoever that was, what is that?
• 12:01
Speaker 1: What is that rot gut whiskey that goes underneath?
• 12:04
Speaker 3: You are rot gut whiskey.
• 12:06
Speaker 3: I knew a guy one time he used to buy a half gallon of Red Rooster for $8.95.
• 12:11
Speaker 4: Ooh the Red Rooster.
• 12:12
Speaker 4: Yeah, that was a long time ago.
• 12:18
Speaker 5: It's gone way up in price, John.
• 12:19
Speaker 1: Wait a minute, it's gone way up in price.
• 12:21
Speaker 4: That'll check your price.
• 12:22
Speaker 1: And I think that what we're going to do is I'm going to score you a bottle of that very rare Red Rooster.
• 12:27
Speaker 1: I'm bringing it for your collection next weekend.
• 12:30
Speaker 4: Hey, there's shockingly so.
• 12:32
  Speaker 4: There's a.
• 12:33
  Speaker 4: There's a.
• 12:33
  Speaker 4: There's a distillery in Austin.
• 12:35
Speaker 4: It's called Still Austin and the proprietor of the establishment is her name is Nancy and they call her Nancy the Nodes.
• 12:43
Speaker 4: And I tell you what?
• 12:45
Speaker 4: That's pretty good stuff.
• 12:47
Speaker 4: Yeah, it's really really good.
• 12:50
Speaker 4: It's affordable and surprisingly good.
• 12:56
Speaker 2: Well, here's what we're going to do, Surprisingly good For the social event.
• 12:59
Speaker 2: If you all are attending out there, bring a bottle.
• 13:02
Speaker 2: Bring a bottle to the shop.
• 13:03
Speaker 1: Yeah, bring a nice bottle.
• 13:04
Speaker 1: Donate it to the collection, Right to John's collection.
• 13:07
Speaker 3: Yeah, there you go, bring a bottle out and if you make it Angel's Envy or Eagle Rare or something, if John already has it, I'll take it off your hands and I'll kind of help you out.
• 13:15
  Speaker 1: What are those?
• 13:15
  Speaker 1: I don't know.
• 13:16
Speaker 4: He's kind of blue right by those in me is good and rare, is also very, very good I also saw you had a bottle of weller up there on the shelf green label I have, I have a two, I have a green label, I have a black label and a red label.
• 13:31
Speaker 4: Um, and I have a bottle of a glenn rawls, which is a scotch.
• 13:36
Speaker 4: This one is distilled in 1954.
• 13:39
Speaker 4: A customer gave it to me, uh, a few back, and he said he was done drinking.
• 13:45
Speaker 4: He couldn't drink anymore.
• 13:46
Speaker 4: He'd drink a 12-pack of beer and eat some goldfish for every dinner.
• 13:52
Speaker 5: So he had to stop.
• 13:57
Speaker 4: And so he's purging his collection, apparently, and I was the beneficiary who's the liver?
• 14:02
  Speaker 1: honey, I thought I.
• 14:03
Speaker 1: I thought I was cooking some perch, but apparently I got jennifer's goldfish.
• 14:09
Speaker 1: Yeah, it hangs out at the pet store crunchy, yeah, especially when they're all fried up nice so.
• 14:17
Speaker 2: So let me ask you this where is this new place in sugarland going to be?
• 14:20
  Speaker 2: Can, can you?
• 14:20
Speaker 4: tell us it's right across the railroad tracks from the Sewell Audi dealership.
• 14:24
Speaker 4: Oh, just off Derry Ashford, there's a Live Oak Grill.
• 14:28
Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah Over there.
• 14:30
Speaker 4: Yeah, backs up to that.
• 14:32
Speaker 4: It's right in front of that, we went there a couple of weeks ago, took the Nug and Amy and I went over there and had hamburgers.
• 14:38
Speaker 1: When we go by, Well now, when we go by, okay, well now let's shift gears, here momentarily and talk about the car social coming up in a couple of weeks.
• 14:50
  Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm gonna.
• 14:50
Speaker 4: You know something we didn't put on the flyer, that I'm gonna put on the flyer we need to do a toys for tots thing, okay, and uh, either collect for toys or tots, or the texas children's cancer center, the kids in the cancer center.
• 15:02
Speaker 4: My sister is the fundraising director for that organization for the last 22 years and I'm going to ask her if we can do something and they will accept toys.
• 15:14
Speaker 4: So you know, I'd like to see everybody.
• 15:18
Speaker 4: If you can just bring a toy, I don't care how cheap it is, it doesn't matter, it'll make a difference.
• 15:23
Speaker 3: Unwrapped toy it is, it doesn't matter, it'll make a difference a new, unwrapped toy.
• 15:25
  Speaker 4: It'll be.
• 15:26
Speaker 1: It'll make a difference for somebody you know we went down to tailpipes and tacos last weekend and stan had that and he gave away a free taco for everybody that brought an unwrapped toy and we had the marines there and it was a very nice event they filled up those great big boxes.
• 15:41
Speaker 1: Yes, they did, yeah, did.
• 15:42
Speaker 4: It worked out well.
• 15:43
Speaker 4: I'll tell you what we'll do.
• 15:45
Speaker 4: Something like everybody that brings an unwrapped toy will do a raffle and maybe do a free ceramic coating.
• 15:53
Speaker 5: There you go, something like that that would be kind of cool.
• 15:55
Speaker 4: Or do two things Do a ceramic window film job and then for somebody else do a ceramic coating.
• 16:02
Speaker 1: I think that would be pretty cool.
• 16:03
Speaker 1: Are you having a big car club?
• 16:06
Speaker 1: Anybody coming next week or two weeks?
• 16:09
Speaker 4: The Porsche Club is always invited.
• 16:11
Speaker 4: It is on their calendar and so we'll see.
• 16:14
Speaker 1: Are you going to have the BMW?
• 16:15
  Speaker 4: boys there too.
• 16:16
  Speaker 4: I'm not sure.
• 16:19
  Speaker 4: I'm not sure.
• 16:19
Speaker 4: They got a little unruly.
• 16:21
Speaker 4: You know, oh yeah, the BMW guy, he's kind of a little unruly.
• 16:24
Speaker 4: You know, oh yeah, the bmw guy, he's kind of new mustang guy.
• 16:25
Speaker 4: You know, I got you a little bit.
• 16:28
Speaker 4: I got revving the engines down pipes.
• 16:30
Speaker 4: You know stuff like that it's an interesting crowd for sure, but if they want I, I won't turn away.
• 16:35
  Speaker 4: Uh, anybody?
• 16:37
  Speaker 2: so how?
• 16:37
Speaker 2: How does so the bmw crowd?
• 16:39
Speaker 2: Is that a younger crowd than the Porsche folks?
• 16:42
  Speaker 2: It is.
• 16:43
Speaker 4: It's very much a younger crowd with the new M3, m2, and M4s and wow, those cars can be boosted and can handle a lot.
• 16:52
Speaker 4: I mean handle a lot Wow.
• 16:57
Speaker 1: So what hours are the car social?
• 16:59
Speaker 1: Is it 9 to noon?
• 17:00
Speaker 1: I believe it's 9 to noon, 9 to noon, and we're going to be on the air from nine to noon.
• 17:03
Speaker 1: I believe it's nine to noon.
• 17:03
Speaker 1: Nine to noon, and we're going to be on the air from 10 to noon that weekend.
• 17:06

• 20:44
Speaker 1: All right, Speaking of time, time now for Jeff's feature little known facts about popular car brands.
• 20:49
Speaker 2: Yes, and here we go.
• 20:51
Speaker 2: It is the world's best luxury brand tend to lend one thing in common to another.
• 20:58
Speaker 2: They've all been around for a long time and they have stories of their own.
• 21:02
Speaker 2: However, every brand defining highlight is lesser known.
• 21:06
Speaker 2: So here we go.
• 21:07
  Speaker 2: Mercedes-benz made a 269-mile-per-hour car in 1938, michael Whoa.
• 21:13
Speaker 2: A lot of Mercedes history during the late 30s has been obscured.
• 21:16
Speaker 2: However, its engineers produced some truly remarkable cars during the Wehrkartwagen that's what this is called which set a record of 268.9 miles per hour on the German Autobahn in 1930s.
• 21:34
Speaker 2: The car was based on the decorated W125 race car and it featured a new streamlined body for maximum slipperiness.
• 21:38
Speaker 2: Mike, to help set the record, powering the car was a 5.6 liter V12 engine with twin superchargers.
• 21:44
  Speaker 2: Isn't that great?
• 21:45
Speaker 2: Next one we have is a Cadillac designed called the City Car.
• 21:51
Speaker 2: It's to rival the Mini.
• 21:52
Speaker 2: Cadillac is best known for its huge, opulent vehicles, I know, but in 2010, it decided to explore a different direction, aimed at capitalizing on the emerging trend of luxury compact cars in Europe.
• 22:04
Speaker 2: The Cadillac Urban Luxury concept was around the size of a Mini.
• 22:08
Speaker 2: However, it featured an interior as luxurious as the brand's full-size cars.
• 22:14
Speaker 2: The car was powered by a one-liter engine which borrowed from Peugeot.
• 22:19
Speaker 2: The next one is this John's going to love this.
• 22:22
Speaker 2: Every Jaguar chassis is brushed with emu feathers.
• 22:26
Speaker 1: Oh God, main process, that's what it is.
• 22:28
Speaker 1: That's what's wrong with the damn thing.
• 22:30
  Speaker 2: Jaguars.
• 22:31
Speaker 2: They choose to use emu feathers for brushes as they can statically charge and are excellent at picking up stubborn remaining pieces of dust and debris.
• 22:40
Speaker 2: They're also larger and most of the natural feathers are Allowing each one to cover a wider area of the chassis.
• 22:47
Speaker 2: Using emu feathers is significantly more expensive than using regular feathers or synthetic materials, but it claims they do the best job for Jaguar.
• 22:55
Speaker 2: So that's why they made that commercial and the last one we have.
• 22:59
Speaker 2: You didn't know this, but Mercedes motorcycles were created because of a legal mistake.
• 23:04
  Speaker 2: I'm sorry, maserati.
• 23:07
  Speaker 2: I said Mercedes, it's Maserati.
• 23:09
Speaker 2: Where am I going?
• 23:09
Speaker 2: Maserati was taken over in the early.
• 23:20
Speaker 2: A notary public accidentally granted the spark plug manufacturer the legal right to use the Maserati name on anything it wanted.
• 23:28
Speaker 2: So they made a motorcycle.
• 23:30
Speaker 2: They can still use it today, but they don't do it anymore because of legal reasons.
• 23:35
Speaker 2: So there you go.
• 23:36
Speaker 2: Maserati made a motorcycle.
• 23:39
Speaker 2: Was it called the Maserati?
• 23:41
Speaker 2: It was called the Maserati.
• 23:44
  Speaker 1: There you go.
• 23:44
Speaker 1: Mr Mars has this week's car review 2025 Infiniti QX80.
• 23:49
Speaker 1: Yes, sir, did I scare you there or something?
• 23:56
Speaker 3: No, I was headed for auto history, because that's what Jeff had up there, but that's okay.
• 24:00
  Speaker 3: That's okay.
• 24:00
Speaker 3: So we had the 2025 Infiniti QX80.
• 24:04
Speaker 3: And this is the Sensory all-wheel drive.
• 24:07
Speaker 3: Now it's all new for 2025.
• 24:09
Speaker 3: It's been 14 years since they did a major update to the QX80.
• 24:13
Speaker 3: So it's kind of gotten long in the tooth but it is.
• 24:15
Speaker 3: So it makes it the third gen.
• 24:16
Speaker 3: There's actually four trim levels Pure Lux, sens levels, pure lux century and the autograph.
• 24:24
Speaker 3: We are driving the century, so it's not top of the line but it's kind of up there.
• 24:26
  Speaker 3: This is a full-size suv.
• 24:27
Speaker 3: We have the captain's chairs in the second row so it will seat seven.
• 24:31
Speaker 3: You can get it to where it'll seat eight.
• 24:32
Speaker 3: Now this is a full size.
• 24:34
Speaker 3: This is a big vehicle.
• 24:36
Speaker 3: You know you're into a full-size vehicle when you're driving this thing.
• 24:40
Speaker 3: We had the led lighting up front, got a big grill.
• 24:42
Speaker 3: The hood sticks way up.
• 24:43
Speaker 3: You got to kind of look out over it and to me it kind of blocks some of the things you can see right in front of you.
• 24:47
Speaker 3: But it's got a camera system to help you out, got, uh, automatic folding heated outside mirrors.
• 24:52
Speaker 3: We got an infinity light path.
• 24:54
Speaker 3: You know some of them have got puddle lamps to where it shines down so you can.
• 24:58
Speaker 3: This has got a light path that comes out from underneath the side running boards.
• 25:01
Speaker 3: It's really cool looking.
• 25:02
Speaker 3: Got the roof rails.
• 25:03
Speaker 3: We've got a power panoramic moonroof Not a sunroof, a moonroof and a hands-free liftgate rolling on some 22-inch aluminum wheels.
• 25:12
Speaker 3: Now you get inside.
• 25:14
Speaker 3: We've got the semi-aniline leather seating surfaces so we had heated and ventilated first and second row seating.
• 25:24
Speaker 3: The front seats have massaging.
• 25:26
Speaker 3: The third row is a power folding seat.
• 25:29
Speaker 3: Wait a minute, why, why, why?
• 25:32
Speaker 3: they let you have this car to drive well, I'm not sure they let me have it, but I got it, you got it, I got it go ahead.
• 25:42
Speaker 3: So we had the dual 14.3 inch displays across the dash.
• 25:45
Speaker 3: So it's a lot of stuff, a lot of information there for the driver and the passenger to see.
• 25:49
Speaker 3: And it's got the nine inch lower touch screen control panel.
• 25:54
Speaker 3: It's kind of down on this console yeah, I like it and and it's really it's a touch but it's got buttons, you can.
• 25:59
Speaker 3: It has reactive touch points on it and I really like that part of it, uh, but it's kind of down but it's got buttons.
• 26:03
Speaker 3: It has reactive touch points on it and I really like that part of it, but it's kind of down to where it's at.
• 26:05
Speaker 3: I have a tendency to say I'm going to the mail to mail some stuff, I lay it down there and then I can't see where I shift her.
• 26:10
  Speaker 3: Anyway, it has the heads-up display, it's got a smart rear-view mirror, it's got a 3D around-view monitor.
• 26:18
  Speaker 1: Is that?
• 26:18
Speaker 1: Do you want me to read it for you?
• 26:19
Speaker 1: Is that what you want me to do?
• 26:20
Speaker 1: No, I was looking at Jeff's.
• 26:21
Speaker 3: I made the mistake of looking at Jeff's pictures there.
• 26:22
Speaker 3: So we had technology.
• 26:24
Speaker 3: We had the wireless chargers.
• 26:26
Speaker 3: We had Android, apple and Google in there for your use.
• 26:30
Speaker 3: We had the Clipse Premier 24-speaker audio system and it had the speakers in the headrest.
• 26:36
Speaker 3: I saw that really cool because when you're talking on the phone it comes right into your ear.
• 26:40
Speaker 3: It's not coming out of the dash, so it makes it easier to hear whoever you're talking to maybe not them.
• 26:45
Speaker 3: In the back, inside the liftgate.
• 26:48
Speaker 3: It had a cargo shelf.
• 26:49
Speaker 3: When I opened it up, put some stuff back there.
• 26:51
Speaker 3: There's a shelf behind the third row.
• 26:53
Speaker 3: That kind of makes it a little bit easier to put stuff in there that you don't necessarily want to stack.
• 26:56
Speaker 3: I thought that was a really nice touch Up under the hood.
• 27:06
  Speaker 3: 3.5 liter twin turbo v6, 450 horsepower, 516 pound-feet of torque no more v8.
• 27:09
  Speaker 3: Nine-speed transmission.
• 27:09
Speaker 3: It will with an automatic.
• 27:10
Speaker 3: It's rated to tow 8,500 pounds, properly equipped.
• 27:12
Speaker 3: Epa says in the city you should get 16 out on the highway look for 19.
• 27:17
Speaker 3: Combined that comes out to about 17.
• 27:19
  Speaker 3: I got 17.4.
• 27:21
Speaker 3: Cost of 291.1 miles.
• 27:23
Speaker 3: I drove this vehicle speaking of driving electronic air suspension so you can adjust the ride up or down as you want to get in or get out of.
• 27:31
Speaker 3: It makes it real nice.
• 27:33
Speaker 3: The turbo v6 got good low end power, works pretty good.
• 27:37
Speaker 3: You get up into the upper speeds at highway speeds that you just normally wouldn't be driving.
• 27:40
Speaker 3: It's a little uh starts breathing a little hard but it's good.
• 27:43
Speaker 3: But it is a big vehicle around town and when you're parking it Base model price $82,450.
• 27:51
  Speaker 3: Oh my gosh.
• 27:52
Speaker 3: Base trim price $100,645.
• 27:56
Speaker 3: Msrp is tested $107,215.
• 28:00
Speaker 3: Hubba hubba hubba With a $2,000 destination charge.
• 28:03
Speaker 3: I thought it was kind of strange.
• 28:04
Speaker 3: Lincoln Navigator if you're looking for something there, let me hold that one for a minute.
• 28:07
Speaker 3: Jeep Grand Cherokee Wagoneer.
• 28:11
Speaker 3: Jeep Grand Wagoneer $849.45 start.
• 28:14
  Speaker 3: Cadillac Escalade $875.95.
• 28:16

• 28:17
Speaker 3: But Lincoln Navigator same type big luxury vehicle starts base $99,950.
• 28:25
Speaker 3: So if you're looking for one of these big vehicles, this is one that's really nice and got plenty of power, and you really ought to look at it if you're up there in that category.
