  Speaker 1: rather unusual. You follow them inside the tunnel. At the

  Speaker 1: the middle of that chamber sits a single block. It's

  Speaker 1: dark gray, almost metallic, with strange glowing lines running across

  Speaker 1: its surface. On the front is what looks like a button.

  Speaker 1: What's that? We aren't entirely sure, but it appears to

  Speaker 1: contain an extraordinary amount of magical energy. He points toward

  Speaker 1: a glowing crystal embedded in the top. More interestingly... That

  Speaker 1: appears to be a portal crystal which suggests this device

  Speaker 1: may be capable of teleportation. Teleportation? Possibly. Or perhaps opening

  Speaker 1: a portal to another location. You walk closer. Your arcane

  Speaker 1: engineer abilities activate. You can feel the power running through

  Speaker 1: the strange machine. Magical pathways connecting the crystals to the button.

  Speaker 1: The machine begins pulsing with light. Uh, oh no. You

  Speaker 1: tremendous flash and you, well, you disappear. Everything around you.

  Speaker 1: like traveling through a portal, until suddenly, with a pop,

  Speaker 1: you appear somewhere else. You look around. Blue sky, clouds,

  Speaker 1: More blue sky. You look down. Oh, you've got to

  Speaker 1: be kidding me. You're standing on a single block of dirt.

  Speaker 1: A single block floating thousands of feet above the ground.

  Speaker 1: And written across its surface are two words. Mind me.

  Speaker 1: You stare at them. Then you look over the edge. Far,

  Speaker 1: far away. Far below, you can barely make out the

  Speaker 1: tops of mountains and forests. Okay, this is new. You

  Speaker 1: quickly open up your inventory. You have gold, a few

  Speaker 1: basic tools, your iron sword, your armor, which is still equipped,

  Speaker 1: and several stone blocks. Unfortunately for you, your diamond golem

  Speaker 1: mech suit is back in the village, which means you

  Speaker 1: can't just fly away. You considered jumping, you'd probably respawn somewhere, right?

  Speaker 1: But you aren't entirely sure where, and you're certainly not

  Speaker 1: eager to find out what falling thousands of feet feels like.

  Speaker 1: You look down at the block again. Mind me, huh?

  Speaker 1: You suppose it's worth a try. First, you take your

  Speaker 1: remaining stone blocks out of your inventory. You imagine them

  Speaker 1: attaching to the sides of the dirt block. Ghost-like outlines

  Speaker 1: appear around it. You mentally confirm their placement, and the

  Speaker 1: stones fly into position, forming a tiny little platform. There,

  Speaker 1: now I have something to stand on. You step onto
• 12:16
  Speaker 1: the stone, produce your pickaxe, and begin striking the dirt block. Crack, crack,

  Speaker 1: and pop. The block disappears in a puff of smoke.

  Speaker 1: A tiny piece of dirt floats above the empty space.

  Speaker 1: But before you can grab it, something strange happens. Another

  Speaker 1: block appears, only this time it's wood. What? You absorb
• 12:46
  Speaker 1: the dirt block into your inventory, switch to your axe,
• 12:49
  Speaker 1: and strike the wooden block. Crack, crack, and pop. The

  Speaker 1: wood disappears, a floating piece of wood takes its place,

  Speaker 1: and immediately, another block appears. Stone. You stare. Is this

  Speaker 1: thing just gonna keep doing that? You swing your pickaxe, pop.

  Speaker 1: More stone, then another wooden block, then dirt, then coal,

  Speaker 1: then iron. Each time you destroy the block, a new
• 13:24
  Speaker 1: one appears in exactly the same position. You begin mining faster.

  Speaker 1: Before long, your inventory contains quite a collection of materials.

  Speaker 1: Then something different appears. A chest. A little, single-block chest. Sweet.

  Speaker 1: You quickly open the chest and inside you find... A bucket.

  Speaker 1: A bucket filled with... Lava. You pick it up. Why

  Speaker 1: would I need lava? You absorb it into your inventory

  Speaker 1: and continue mining. Eventually, another chest appears. This one contains

  Speaker 1: a bucket of water. Okay, now I have lava... And water. Thanks,

  Speaker 1: I guess. You continue breaking the block. Stone, wood, iron, dirt.

  Speaker 1: Then a block of grass appears and standing on top

  Speaker 1: of it is a cow. You jump backward. Whoa, where

  Speaker 1: did you come from? The cow looks at you. You

  Speaker 1: look at the cow. Then, you look at the tiny platform. Okay,

  Speaker 1: just don't fall off. You use your animal control magic

  Speaker 1: to encourage the cow to move onto one of the
• 14:57
  Speaker 1: stone blocks and stay there. It obeys. You return to mining,

  Speaker 1: and mining, and mining. For over an hour, you continue
• 15:08
  Speaker 1: smashing the magical block. Your inventory fills with dirt, stone, wood, iron, coal,

  Speaker 1: buckets of water, buckets of lava, and even several little

  Speaker 1: tree saplings. Meanwhile, the block keeps producing animals. A chicken,

  Speaker 1: another cow, a sheep, and finally, a pig. By the

  Speaker 1: time you stop, your tiny platform is completely overcrowded. The

  Speaker 1: chicken is standing on top of the pig, one cow

  Speaker 1: is pushing against the other, and the sheep looks dangerously

  Speaker 1: close to falling off the edge. Alright everybody, stop moving.

  Speaker 1: You reach into your animal control magic and calm the animals,

  Speaker 1: then you look around. Maybe this is the point. Maybe

  Speaker 1: you're supposed to build something. You open your inventory and

  Speaker 1: edge of your platform. A ghost-like image appears, you confirm

  Speaker 1: the placement, and the block fires into position and locks

  Speaker 1: against the others. It doesn't fall, it just hangs there mid-air.

  Speaker 1: which makes absolutely no sense, but then again, you are

  Speaker 1: inside a video game. You continue placing blocks, one after another.

  Speaker 1: Grass spreads outward, creating a little green platform. Then you

  Speaker 1: move to the opposite side and begin building a large

  Speaker 1: stone platform. Within minutes, the tiny floating platform has become

  Speaker 1: an actual island, a floating island. You create a grassy

  Speaker 1: area for the animals and use your magic to direct

  Speaker 1: them onto it. Then you place several tree saplings because

  Speaker 1: why not have trees? There. You head over to the

  Speaker 1: stone side and start constructing a little wooden house. Walls

  Speaker 1: rise around you. A door snaps into place. A roof

  Speaker 1: forms overhead. It's nothing compared to the house back in

  Speaker 1: the village, but it's surprisingly comfortable. Now I just need

  Speaker 1: a bed. You look through your inventory. Plenty of wood,

  Speaker 1: no wool. You slowly turn toward the sheep. The sheep

  Speaker 1: looks back at you. You sigh. Sorry, buddy. You summon

  Speaker 1: and mist. Something enormous. You move as close to the

  Speaker 1: edge as you can and squint. Is that... another island?

  Speaker 1: It certainly looks like one, only much, much bigger. And

  Speaker 1: it almost looks like there's something built on top of it.

  Speaker 1: maybe you could reach it you just need a bridge

  Speaker 1: and well a very very long bridge which hopefully will

  Speaker 1: just continue to float in the air like everything else

  Speaker 1: has you check your inventory You don't have nearly enough stone.

  Speaker 1: Then you remember something. You haven't created your stone golem today.

  Speaker 1: And you've still got those buckets of lava and water.

  Speaker 1: That's when an idea starts forming. Wait a second. This

  Speaker 1: is starting to feel a lot like a Minecraft add-on
• 20:33
  Speaker 1: you once played. Skyblock or One block. You remember that
• 20:40
  Speaker 1: in that game, there's a very strange little invention that
• 20:44
  Speaker 1: you can make. A cobblestone generator. A machine that, frankly,
• 20:51
  Speaker 1: makes almost no sense at all, but if it works here,
• 20:56
  Speaker 1: you might have just found yourself an unlimited supply of stone.

  Speaker 1: You quickly gather some dirt blocks from your inventory and

  Speaker 1: begin building a little rectangular structure on the stone side

  Speaker 1: of your island. You leave four spaces in the middle. Then,

  Speaker 1: you break a hole through the floor in the second

  Speaker 1: space from the left. Okay, if I remember correctly, you

  Speaker 1: produce your bucket of lava. Carefully, you pour it onto

  Speaker 1: the far left space. The lava begins flowing toward the hole.

  Speaker 1: Then you grab your bucket of water and pour it

  Speaker 1: into the far right space. The water flows in the

  Speaker 1: opposite direction. And the moment the lava and water meet,

  Speaker 1: there's a popping sound and a block of stone appears.

  Speaker 1: You stare at it. No way. You summon your pickaxe

  Speaker 1: and strike the stone. crack crack pop the cobblestone disappears

  Speaker 1: come from nowhere, but apparently it can in this instance. But, well,

  Speaker 1: making sense isn't really what life is doing today anyway, since,

  Speaker 1: after all, you are standing on a floating island made

  Speaker 1: of a single magical block. You continue mining. Before long,

  Speaker 1: you've gathered enough stone to do something. Well... considerably more interesting.

  Speaker 1: You step away from the generator, empty some stone from
• 23:05
  Speaker 1: your inventory, reach into your mana pool, and focus on

  Speaker 1: the familiar spell, Stone Golem. Rocks begin floating. They twist

  Speaker 1: and turn, smashing themselves together into enormous arms, legs, and

  Speaker 1: a body, and of course a head. You push a

  Speaker 1: little of your life force into the creature, and its

  Speaker 1: eyes open. What are your orders? Ah, perfect. Come on

  Speaker 1: over here. You lead the golem towards the cobblestone generator.

  Speaker 1: See this piece of stone? Yes, master. Every time you

  Speaker 1: mine it, another one will appear. I want you to

  Speaker 1: keep mining it and collecting the stone. Understood? Understood. You

  Speaker 1: hand it your pickaxe. The golem grabs the tool and

  Speaker 1: immediately begins swinging.

  Speaker 1: little island continues growing as you gather more materials and

  Speaker 1: place them at the edges. Eventually, you hear the stone

  Speaker 1: golem calling. Master, you turn. Yeah? Inventory full. Oh, already?

  Speaker 1: You rush over and absorb the stone from the golem's

  Speaker 1: inventory into your own. Then, you look towards that mysterious

  Speaker 1: island in the distance. Okay, I think it's time. You

  Speaker 1: You step onto it. Then you place another and another

  Speaker 1: and another and another. Slowly, you begin building a narrow

  Speaker 1: bridge through the sky. You look down occasionally, which, honestly,

  Speaker 1: might not be the smartest idea. There's nothing beneath you

  Speaker 1: but an enormous drop. You continue building until your inventory's

  Speaker 1: almost empty. Then you turn around and head back. The

  Speaker 1: stone golem has already gathered another enormous pile. You collect it,

  Speaker 1: thank the golem, you know, to be courteous, and head

  Speaker 1: back onto your bridge. Block after block, you extend it

  Speaker 1: further into the sky. And the closer you get... the

  Speaker 1: more you can see. The island isn't just an island.

  Speaker 1: It's a gigantic cloud, and sitting on top of it is...

  Speaker 1: a castle. An actual castle. A cloud castle. Tall white

  Speaker 1: towers rise from the clouds, blue flags flutter from the rooftops,

  Speaker 1: and enormous archways connect different sections of the building. Okay...

  Speaker 1: Now that's cool looking. You make another trip back to

  Speaker 1: the stone golem, then another, and finally after what feels
• 26:56
  Speaker 1: like forever, your bridge connects with the enormous floating cloud.

  Speaker 1: You step onto it. Your feet sink slightly into the

  Speaker 1: soft surface. Well, that's weird. You look towards the castle entrance.
