Dot com Welcome to the Daily Quote, the podcast designed to
• 0:07
kick start your day in a positive way.

I'm your host, Andrew McGivern and let's jump into today's
• 0:13
quote from Pablo Picasso, who once said our goals can only be
• 0:18
reached through a vehicle of the plan in which we must fervently
• 0:23
believe and upon which we must vigorously act.
• 0:28
There is no other route to success.
• 0:32
Let's break this down. Three ingredients for achieving
• 0:35
  goals. First, a plan.
• 0:37
Not a wish or a hope. A plan, the vehicle that takes
• 0:43
you from where you are to where you want to be.
• 0:46
Second, fervent belief. You have to believe in that
• 0:51
  plan. Not kind of believe.
• 0:53
Not mostly believe. Fervently believe, because when
• 0:58
the plan gets hard, and it inevitably will, that belief is
• 1:04
what keeps you going. And 3rd, vigorous action.
• 1:10
You can have the best plan in the world and believe in it
• 1:14
completely, but if you don't act on it vigorously, with energy,
• 1:19
with commitment, with urgency, it stays just a fantasy.
• 1:25
And Picasso doesn't leave any wiggle room.
• 1:29
There is no other route to success.
• 1:32
Not luck, not connections, not waiting for the perfect moment.
• 1:37
Just plan, belief, action. Here's what most people miss.
• 1:43
They have one or two of these, but not all three.
• 1:47
They have a goal and they believe in it, but no real plan.
• 1:52
Or they have a plan, but they don't really believe it'll work.
• 1:56
Or they have a plan and belief, but they take weak, half hearted
• 2:01
  action. All three.
• 2:04
That's the requirement. So here's the question.
• 2:08
What goal are you pursuing right now?
• 2:10
Do you have a real plan? Do you fervently believe in it?
• 2:16
And are you acting on it vigorously?
• 2:19
Because according to Picasso, there's no other way that's
• 2:25
going to do it. For today, I'm Andrew McGivern,
• 2:27
signing off for now, but I'll be back tomorrow.
