- 0:02Speaker 1: All right, it's time for Stacks and Hacks. I have
- 0:06Speaker 1: stacks of information. Rich has life hacks. When my wife
- 0:09Speaker 1: and I first got married, we had a couple of
- 0:11Speaker 1: dogs and they slept in bed with us. And I
- 0:13Speaker 1: thought it messed up my sleep all the time, right?
- 0:15Speaker 1: I had a dog sleep between my legs. I had
- 0:16Speaker 1: a little dog under my armpit. It was a big pain. Now, apparently,
- 0:19Speaker 1: according to this research, dogs are not ruining your sleep.
- 0:24Speaker 2: You are ruining theirs.
- 0:26Speaker 1: Researchers strapped fitness trackers onto humans and dogs to measure
- 0:30Speaker 1: who tossed and turned the most, and the dog owner
- 0:32Speaker 1: moved first most of the time.
- 0:35Speaker 2: That doesn't seem right to me. It totally seems right.
- 0:37Speaker 1: I feel like our dog Poppy, she'll sleep at my feet,
- 0:41Speaker 1: but I don't keep my feet in the same spot
- 0:43Speaker 1: every time, so I'm sure of it.
- 0:45Speaker 2: I wake her up in the middle of the night.
- 0:46Speaker 2: She's like all pissed off and grumpy. She moves underneath
- 0:48Speaker 2: the bed.
- 0:49Speaker 1: She's got a 60 sleep score because Kyle's kicking her
- 0:52Speaker 1: with her feet. Her little aura paw is all messed up.
- 0:55Speaker 1: And this is big news for a lot of Rich's
- 0:57Speaker 1: press photos. Word has it that Frosted Tips are back.
- 1:00Speaker 2: Hey!
- 1:02Speaker 1: They say it may have started as a byproduct by
- 1:04Speaker 1: buzz and bleach craze. Someone gets a buzz cut, bleaches it,
- 1:07Speaker 1: and then it grows out, becomes Frosted Tips.
- 1:08Speaker 3: A lot of, like, the baseball players or football players
- 1:11Speaker 3: will do that during the state playoffs, and they all have, like,
- 1:14Speaker 3: the blonde hair, so that makes sense.
- 1:16Speaker 2: I've done that before, and I do like it. It's
- 1:17Speaker 2: like the roots are coming in.
- 1:18Speaker 1: All right, so I don't know if you guys have
- 1:20Speaker 1: seen this problem, and I can't believe it's in the news, but...
- 1:24Speaker 1: Have you noticed that Hire by Creed keeps getting recommended
- 1:28Speaker 1: for your Instagram stories?
- 1:30Speaker 2: No, it doesn't. I have not.
- 1:32Speaker 1: If you have seen that, you're not crazy and you're
- 1:35Speaker 1: not alone.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Instagram would like to apologize.
- 1:37Speaker 1: There's been a glitch in their system for whatever reason
- 1:39Speaker 1: recommends the song regardless of what's being posted or the
- 1:42Speaker 1: user's activity on the app. People wanted if Creed made
- 1:45Speaker 1: some sort of deal with Meta to get the song promoted,
- 1:47Speaker 1: but it's not the case. A spokesman for Instagram said,
- 1:50Speaker 1: We looked into it. We found out this song is
- 1:52Speaker 1: being recommended to more people than intended. We are continuing
- 1:54Speaker 1: to investigate.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Oops. We might as well use it. I have it.
- 2:00Speaker 2: You guys know the song. I can't think of it.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Can you take me higher?
- 2:06Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. That's funny.
- 2:11Speaker 2: That's funny.
- 2:12Speaker 1: More singles are, and you brought, somebody brought this up
- 2:15Speaker 1: last week, but more single people are swapping dinner and
- 2:17Speaker 1: drinks for breakfast and coffee dates. They say breakfast dates
- 2:20Speaker 1: feel less stressful, more affordable, and they leave room for
- 2:22Speaker 1: the date to continue if things go well. I like
- 2:24Speaker 1: the other way it came up on our show to
- 2:25Speaker 1: make it because it's shorter. Yeah.
- 2:28Speaker 2: That's true. And coffee, that's like a 15 minute commitment.
- 2:30Speaker 2: You could be gone.
- 2:31Speaker 3: I remember in high school, I went on a date
- 2:33Speaker 3: with a guy and he asked me to go to breakfast.
- 2:35Speaker 2: And I remember being like, what? I think I like that.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Did you go?
- 2:38Speaker 3: It was different.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Yeah, it was actually a really nice date.
- 2:40Speaker 3: He was a really nice guy. I wonder what he's
- 2:41Speaker 3: up to.
- 2:42Speaker 2: A U.S.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Citizen was stopped at Miami airport on Sunday after officers
- 2:46Speaker 1: noticed he had an unexplainable bulge at his waist. Turns
- 2:49Speaker 1: out he had 10 live birds tucked in his underwear.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Oh, what?
- 2:52Speaker 3: Unexplainable? Okay.
- 2:54Speaker 2: You knew what was going on down there. That is
- 2:56Speaker 2: so uncomfortable. Their little beaks. Ow.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Google shared a bunch of data to help people figure
- 3:00Speaker 1: out when they should book their holiday travel to get
- 3:02Speaker 1: the best deals. For Thanksgiving, Google found that prices are
- 3:06Speaker 1: lowest 34 days beforehand.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Which is October 23rd. Let's go. We got to go now.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Christmas, prices are lowest 56 days before the holiday, which
- 3:13Speaker 1: is October 30th.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Company dug into Google.
- 3:17Speaker 1: To find Google Trends to find out which is the
- 3:20Speaker 1: most popular Halloween costumes in every state. And apparently, everyone's
- 3:24Speaker 1: stuck on just boring classic stuff. Mermaid is the most popular.
- 3:28Speaker 1: It's number one in seven states. Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey,
- 3:31Speaker 1: New York, Florida, Louisiana, Hawaii. Dinosaur, number one in six states.
- 3:34Speaker 1: A bat is number one in six states. Monster is
- 3:37Speaker 1: number one. Skeleton, number one. Princess is number one. Angel
- 3:43Speaker 1: is number one in three states. And alien is also
- 3:45Speaker 1: number one in three states.
- 3:46Speaker 2: Oh, that'd be cool.
- 3:49Speaker 1: And Oklahoma didn't get the message. Their number one Halloween
- 3:51Speaker 1: costume is candy corn. Rich, what do you have for
- 3:56Speaker 1: Life Hacks?
- 3:57Speaker 3: Okay, I don't know if you guys know this, but
- 3:59Speaker 3: it is shock season. Kyle, you've heard me talk about
- 4:01Speaker 3: it all the time. The static shock. The static shock.
- 4:06Speaker 3: And what happens is when you touch metal. But I've
- 4:08Speaker 3: got a hack for you.
- 4:09Speaker 2: He talks about it all the time. All the time.
- 4:12Speaker 3: Because I'll say that the whole thing went sideways.
- 4:15Speaker 2: It was a static shock.
- 4:17Speaker 3: In fact, we have a whole rug underneath here to
- 4:19Speaker 3: help me from not getting static electricity.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Well, here is the trick.
- 4:23Speaker 3: And it is.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Your house key. Because if you, let's.
- 4:27Speaker 3: Say, touch metal to metal, then the metal absorbs the
- 4:30Speaker 3: shock and it doesn't go, it doesn't hit your person.
- 4:33Speaker 3: So instead of you touching your car door first, make
- 4:36Speaker 3: sure that you've got like a house key or a
- 4:38Speaker 3: car key that you touch the metal on the metal
- 4:40Speaker 3: and you will save yourself static electricity.
- 4:42Speaker 2: Shock all this year.
- 4:44Speaker 3: Shopping carts, car doors, the door to like the studio
- 4:49Speaker 3: right here, that's metal too.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Touch the metal on metal, you'll save yourself. That hack
- 4:52Speaker 2: can be found at johnjainrich.com.
